Fire Site Finally Clears Path to Renewal | Huntsville News
After months of legal wrangling over who’d pay for cleanup, the rubble from the February downtown fire is finally set to be cleared — thanks to Brittany Holcomb, owner of The Skin Refinery, who’s ready to move forward. A structural engineer will assess the site within days, and cleanup could begin in as little as ten to fifteen days. Holcomb plans to reopen her business just blocks away, while the community hopes the cleared lot will spark new development or even a green space — a fresh start for a neighborhood still healing.
