Transcript
- 0:00Hi friends. You're listening to lose the
- 0:02plot with color and Emily. Welcome to part 2 of reading
- 0:05where the core dancing. By Delia Owens, we are covering
- 0:08chapters 22 257 in this episode. So warning there will be
- 0:12spoilers I'm Carla and unworthy boys.
- 0:30Boys, make a lot of noise. I'm Emily and I are we really
- 0:35surprised we will start off with predictions that weren't really
- 0:39predictions. Let's be real.
- 0:41Yeah it's a one-track book, we're all on the same train.
- 0:44You've been at one point we were like it was the detective I
- 0:48think I'm just trying to make it like slightly exciting for
- 0:51myself and it just, you know what, I noticed right away.
- 0:55Is that the first part of the book was called the marsh.
- 0:59And then the second part, Called the song.
- 1:00Why did they force us to call it?
- 1:02The marsh only to have the second part of the book called
- 1:05The Swamp is like Tate, the marsh and chases the Swarm.
- 1:11He's got to stand by. Yes, swamp on us.
- 1:16Why would we only allowed to call it the marsh and then now
- 1:19she's giving us free rein to call this long Delia Please Kill
- 1:23Ya. Julia please we need anyway.
- 1:29Sorry. So now she's 19 and I'm very
- 1:33excited because now I can get over the licky underage.
- 1:37Shit, what was going on in the first part?
- 1:39Yes, she's no longer a literate either also, it helps none of
- 1:43our predictions matted really because what the fuck?
- 1:47Okay? The book started off as struggle
- 1:49pawn and then it sort of turned into like a potential romance
- 1:53and then it turned into this really long-winded court case.
- 1:57Yes, murdered book. I kind of lost a lot of Interest
- 2:00in the I don't know its importance of the way through I
- 2:03skimmed. That's it.
- 2:05That's why I read it really fast.
- 2:07You know how we never really knew how Chase Andrews connected
- 2:10at all, we have no info. So part two of this book is
- 2:14we're finally understanding what that connection is and yeah I
- 2:18didn't expect it to be what it was.
- 2:22I did. I don't know why I did, I only
- 2:27did because I seen some girl in Tick-Tock say something like
- 2:29Like how did this Marsh girl get not one but two men while I
- 2:34can't even get one. So right, so you knew it was
- 2:37going to go somewhere. Yeah, I'll be surprised that
- 2:40he's personality shit because I'm not know every week, we sort
- 2:45of knew that Loki from the beginning.
- 2:48This Is Where It Starts is she's like, kind of spying on Chase
- 2:52Andrews with him. And he asked her on a picnic.
- 2:55That was like, that was like, what what how did we get here?
- 3:00Chase Andrews is description is giving me Prince?
- 3:03Eric because he had black hair and blue eyes are good like a
- 3:06basic Prince Eric, you know what I mean?
- 3:09Yeah, we finally get the explanation about tape not
- 3:11coming back and it wasn't because he found a girl with big
- 3:14nipples, so we thought it would be.
- 3:18What the fuck? Take this is so stupid.
- 3:21I cannot get over. Like I want to shake him.
- 3:24He's so stupid. So stupid!
- 3:26He got invited to a bird Expedition by a professor that
- 3:29he He really respected and he just couldn't say no to the
- 3:32opportunity. What?
- 3:33I lose heart, you're gonna leave your underage your friend
- 3:38because of a bad. She you know what?
- 3:42She'd be okay with that. She's a little bird girl.
- 3:46He could have just explained it. He admits he was a coward.
- 3:49But bro what is going on. Yeah, you didn't even ask her if
- 3:53she wanted to leave the marsh. I thought I just thought it was
- 3:56wild like a bird Expedition. Really he really is that much of
- 3:58a dork. So I was kind of like things
- 4:01working. That's what I mean.
- 4:02This birth fucking dog's owner dossal, Ned marshes, but he
- 4:09stopped her from a distance. He came home, close enough to
- 4:12see her close enough to explain why he didn't come back.
- 4:15Exactly then. And he still just decided her
- 4:17stalker. I mean, he was already a grown
- 4:20man praying on like a, it's like, a Non-Stop people.
- 4:24Stalking each other. These books funny, I don't know
- 4:27if it was that exact chapter with about him.
- 4:29Him or further down, but it says he knows that she watches him.
- 4:34So who's stalking who? What if you're both trying to
- 4:36stalk each other? And then your eyes met?
- 4:38This is like, what do you do, then?
- 4:42What's the stalk etiquette there?
- 4:43Do you just take the schedule? Don't forget somewhat time.
- 4:47Yeah, like you can stalk me on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and I
- 4:50can stalk you on Thursdays and Fridays.
- 4:52We'll have a break on the alone. Yeah, fucking we've got a life.
- 4:56Not, I need to work on these other days.
- 4:58That's when we'll probably if you're Good at bird-watching.
- 5:01You've probably got the stalker skills on point if anyone, I
- 5:04mean, like I'm so we just assuming anyone that bird
- 5:06watches is probably a stalker. Yeah, you like the David
- 5:09Attenborough of people stalking. She's 19, she's practically 90
- 5:16with that. Stalking experience.
- 5:17Mmm, like, who can out stork, who who's going to leave the
- 5:21next feather on the fucking stump Chase Andrews in the back?
- 5:25Like, mmm. I didn't even know why he's
- 5:27involved, just he don't even get it.
- 5:29I still don't get it. I just reckon he's illusion.
- 5:33He was he just caught up with that whole.
- 5:36Whoever steals her cherry business.
- 5:38Is that what it was all about Chase?
- 5:41His name is Janice, probably he could easily cheat on his
- 5:48girlfriend. I reckon with, um, because she
- 5:50doesn't go into town, he tried to immediately have sex with her
- 5:53at the picnic, dude, the picnic, I don't know what's going on
- 5:56with Delia Delia babes. What's going on?
- 5:59Up literally, was it just me or was that nipple suckling again,
- 6:04obviously love a good nipple, is this, like she has something I'm
- 6:12just looking at you. Like I can't answer your
- 6:15question. I will, I just felt like it was
- 6:18a repeated sort of situation and she's a repeat offender.
- 6:24You know what's funny though? The way that chase Andrews
- 6:28relationship with Kya sort of developed reminded me exactly
- 6:32how her relationship with take developed.
- 6:33It was like a carbon copy almost.
- 6:35Yes he was more of a dick. Yeah but he treated her nice to
- 6:39her face took right up until the end pretty much he was probably
- 6:43the perfect boyfriend. Yeah.
- 6:45Except for when they have sex because she there it's noted in
- 6:48there that she wants a little bit more out of it.
- 6:51But she doesn't know how to ask him and it wasn't.
- 6:54People. And it was painful, but yet, I
- 6:56was like Doyle, you waited so long.
- 6:58Imagine. Yeah.
- 6:59What a flop. What a flop.
- 7:01He literally wait, she finally let him and he was like,
- 7:04foreplay out the window even though he's been trying to force
- 7:06it on her this entire time. You know what the worst part
- 7:09about that was? Yes, they went and got a random
- 7:11hotel room, which may have been bujji for her.
- 7:14I guess. But it really wasn't also the
- 7:17way that he literally just said, it's time.
- 7:20He goes, It's Time Kya. As in, it's time for you to give
- 7:24it. Shut up, bitch.
- 7:25I would immediately that but she's a time for me to leave.
- 7:28It's time for me to get back to the marsh blows, like my reading
- 7:34heart. Thank you.
- 7:35He's literally like my patience has officially run out, the end,
- 7:40my patience ran out before. He was even better than what you
- 7:45might have sex with this man because, you know, how we really
- 7:48annoyed. Well, I was definitely really
- 7:50annoyed without all that her if she was in the first part of the
- 7:52book and it made it so hard to read.
- 7:54He's that in the second part. He's so hard to read because he
- 7:59talks like that and she does not he's just really blunt and
- 8:02stupid. There's been a bit of a slime
- 8:04ball because he was like we're going to have this beautiful
- 8:07house. We're gonna get married.
- 8:09I can't wait to show you my family and then they have sex
- 8:12and then literally never comes up again.
- 8:14He was future faking for sure. And then take come in like the
- 8:18true king. He does at the end of the book
- 8:19and gives her all of that. Yeah.
- 8:22Also this part. Of the book goes to show and it
- 8:25did come up a couple times just how desperate Kaya was.
- 8:28Yeah I get why she's desperate but it was so painful to read
- 8:32yeah but she knows no different. I know it's just some bad
- 8:35considering her dad was like a piece of shit.
- 8:37A mum to she wouldn't know any other way.
- 8:40She started on the stating that a lot better once she got into a
- 8:43relationship to how did he keep his going for so long?
- 8:46Yeah apparently he was out on the marsh all the time, he
- 8:50clearly somewhat care but I think more in a possessive way
- 8:55But he still having this double life.
- 8:57Yeah, on the mainland, basically.
- 8:59Yeah, imagine the mom having to admit that chase was hooking up
- 9:04with who she constantly called small trash all the time, eh and
- 9:10I'll share and out more about what's happening and the
- 9:12sheriff's being dumb as shit. That's when the necklace was
- 9:16brought up. And yeah when it was described
- 9:18as like that sounds fucking disgusting.
- 9:20The neckline is a couple of he was wearing it.
- 9:22It sounds like it's people go to Hawaii for that one time and
- 9:27they come back the shell necklace.
- 9:29The really obvious fake. Yeah.
- 9:32And they just wear it everywhere.
- 9:34Like the little shells and it just doesn't make any not she
- 9:37made that for him. So she put thought and effort
- 9:40into they should get that real hard from.
- 9:42I'm surprised he was wearing it in public because he had a full
- 9:45girlfriend at the time that he later got engaged to and he's
- 9:48wearing this tacky-ass shall mcleese.
- 9:50Maybe he just the thing that I supported her.
- 9:56They just like I don't understand how this smart
- 9:59athletic boy is wearing a shell necklace and the mom had to
- 10:02explain that to the cops. Oh my God.
- 10:05At the police officers who were talking and they were looky
- 10:08admitting that Kaya's hot that's sent me just and if you think
- 10:14any time they talk to, you know what, the only time I actually
- 10:17found General Relief and reading this book was when they were
- 10:20searching their house. Yes.
- 10:22I think it was Joe was like, Did you know that birds did this?
- 10:26He kept finding random things and he just like, did you know,
- 10:29this happened and it just, it's the only time she came those
- 10:35male peacocks, strutted around, competing so much for sex, they
- 10:39can't hardly fly. I ain't sure what it all means.
- 10:41But it adds up to something, what?
- 10:46Every time he'd be like it was something comes look out this
- 10:49and he's like, oh, you found evidence and it's just gonna ask
- 10:52you and some red. They did find some evidence,
- 10:56though. I found the red have Infamous
- 11:00red hat which had a fiber on his jacket.
- 11:02But anyway, okay, when they were dating Chase Andrews Loki was
- 11:06man. Splaining, the marsh to Kya the
- 11:09OG Michelle, the guy that grew up in the marshy girl, that is
- 11:12the marshy is the marsh man. Her blood is Marsh, man.
- 11:17She's this one creepy this mug. She's literally, she was the she
- 11:23plugged up her foot with the marsh.
- 11:25She was a flooring at that Balenciaga show that just
- 11:27happened and weekends and she had a blood pact with the marsh.
- 11:33I feel like total is now she had to because remember she put a
- 11:36hole in her foot that she somehow survived.
- 11:39The girls are her babies. What more do you want?
- 11:42And he's around sitting here telling her about the marsh,
- 11:45he's never been in a marsh Chase.
- 11:47I'm surprised you find her house every day.
- 11:50How do you can do it? That boat, is he driving his he
- 11:53boating was I think his boat Because you have to, who knew,
- 11:56he knew how to drive a boat. He's figuring out, who knows.
- 12:01Okay, I'm gonna ask your permission to say something
- 12:03almost unforgivable about me, okay?
- 12:08Look, I just I'm not a greedy unicorn Ari.
- 12:14Warble, his father. I think she must have that good
- 12:18mosh Goosey but wait. I'm gonna get a ride.
- 12:23What does she do? If she so she must have that
- 12:29good Marsh. Gooshie Percy.
- 12:31Because of how about these boys? I'm practically planning their
- 12:35entire lives. Around, pushy pushy, it's hard
- 12:39to say that martial see a gushing Posse.
- 12:44See. Gusty pussy.
- 12:50Oh my back is cracking up laughing so much gooshie pussy.
- 12:56It's because she never washes. She's got a sweet sweet for my
- 13:00kids. Backed up for years.
- 13:03No, she doesn't smell like any other girl season.
- 13:08These boys are going wild for it.
- 13:10Wow, woman the trying to Tamar. Like what you said before how
- 13:16she got these two boys falling over.
- 13:18How does she have perfect hair? Perfect clothes?
- 13:21No skincare. No hair care.
- 13:24Nothing. No routine.
- 13:26Yeah. Living in mud.
- 13:28It's the mud. It's the most toxic.
- 13:33Yeah, exactly. She's got some Secrets.
- 13:36It's because she's what seemed a natural.
- 13:38She's got a little natural, but they don't want to tell anyone
- 13:41about it, low-key. I mean, tight kind of did hmm.
- 13:46But his probably more because she was 15, not because she
- 13:51lives in the marsh but he really cared about that because I think
- 13:55the dad was more like just don't get a pregnant.
- 13:57Don't do knock her up. Hmm I'm surprised she didn't get
- 14:01pregnant through the whole Chase Andrews relationship.
- 14:04Okay? It does say in the end of the
- 14:06book that she couldn't, they never had, she couldn't write
- 14:10because her and Tate would trying to have a kid and that
- 14:13just never happened. Okay.
- 14:14So she Maybe because of like the tetanus, Ted is upbringing lack
- 14:20of nutrition, like the fact that she lived on fucking grits.
- 14:23Hmm. Her uterus and grits do not obey
- 14:26be make. Nope, her body.
- 14:27Just probably didn't fully form. That's really sad.
- 14:31It is really sad because I really think they would have
- 14:34been great parents. Yeah.
- 14:37I didn't reflect too much. I'll live after.
- 14:39Oh yeah. By the time I got there, I was
- 14:41exhausted, but also thinking about it.
- 14:42Now that's really kind of low key sir.
- 14:44Odd. But probably good thing when it
- 14:46comes to chase Andrews. Oh yeah.
- 14:47Your last thing you'd want, is Chase Andrews.
- 14:49Being your baby daddy? He's gonna be like a Nick Cannon
- 14:52and have 10 kids. Not now he's dead.
- 14:56Yeah. But he would have been, he would
- 14:58have, he would only kid in every port.
- 15:01So I'm wondering about this book.
- 15:02Not Kya, not take everyone going like, Chase Andrews.
- 15:06He was a star of the town, the quarterback.
- 15:08He was so smart, but then they'd be like a body fucked everyone,
- 15:11but he was such an amazing guy but he slept with everyone's
- 15:15Yeah, and hot wife and children, probably, who knows?
- 15:20I can't get over that states, something to be there.
- 15:24No, he didn't do it. He thought about it.
- 15:27Hmm yourself, I'm crossing at straws.
- 15:34This is the bottom of the barrel that we scraping with these male
- 15:36characters. But anyway, here we all know.
- 15:39So I don't know where I got this from, but there was a bit of
- 15:42foreplay with Chase was running his finger over her ankle.
- 15:45Oh yeah, it started other ankle and then he went up and then it
- 15:47went to the moon and then it's so cool.
- 15:49That's so that must be a fast transition.
- 15:53Do you reckon? He liked under angle to have a
- 15:57foot fetish again this time? It's really funny.
- 16:01Don't we talked about that. Emily is think it's funny.
- 16:06How do you tell an ankle drinking here and get a little
- 16:09food whole Stop. Just a little dip in.
- 16:21Laughing and um Crying Chris foot fetish mean Delia Jesus
- 16:25it's still his fault know she's gonna nibble cycling finish with
- 16:28establish. This it's not a lot of things
- 16:31too, she's a one-trick pony. There's not all the funny things
- 16:34to grab at in the book so you just really gotta go for what?
- 16:37Really? Yeah, you really gotta go for
- 16:38it. I just felt like Tate Story
- 16:40falling in love with. Kya is almost identical to
- 16:42chases Story falling in love with Kya.
- 16:44Yeah even pretty much on par but one is a terrible person and one
- 16:48slightly less terrible. Those are the options in books
- 16:52like these look like mmm-hmm because I don't really root for
- 16:56tight either because grow a spine, yeah, you little worm.
- 17:01She was right in front of you. Just explain like a man that you
- 17:03had some nerd trip to go on. He wasn't even that bad.
- 17:06Like like don't be like you grew, I think because he had a
- 17:10couple of girlfriends, they didn't work out and he was like,
- 17:13I always will love only her. I think she musher see, Fuck
- 17:20that's hard to say. Try saying that five times,
- 17:23which will see Marshall to which we should see much.
- 17:29So tape realizing, as you said, after he had those couple of
- 17:32girlfriends and body line, they always come crawling back Emily
- 17:36aren't they? They always come crawling back
- 17:39out of the woodwork doesn't matter if it's three months
- 17:42doesn't matter. If 3 is doesn't matter if it's
- 17:44three decades. Oh my God, there's like this
- 17:47whole theory that men literally They'll fuck up their first
- 17:51logged and made love. And then they marry someone they
- 17:54don't even love. And just always think about the
- 17:56first all know what a flop, and what a flop story arc for them.
- 18:01My couldn't be me and be me. I feel like as women, you never
- 18:05going to fuck up a good thing I could feel like I didn't prove
- 18:09I'll prove you wrong. Hold my beer I got aboard today.
- 18:14Look okay that's on you. So anyway he comes he tries to
- 18:19come crawling back. Back.
- 18:20But she's now in this relationship with Chase.
- 18:23Yeah, he finds out about it because he sees them practically
- 18:26have their first date or a picnic date.
- 18:29Must have seen them out on the boat because they had the picnic
- 18:32date on the boat. Imagine giving up because you
- 18:34see, someone have a first date. Are you kidding?
- 18:36It's not over until it's over Emily.
- 18:39You don't like the wrong comes when they're running up the, I'm
- 18:41not aware until they're dead. It's not over until I got that
- 18:45ring on my finger and then it's still negotiable.
- 18:50Still Brew, like, come on, come on, Tate.
- 18:53Come on, bring that back door and getting there.
- 18:56Getting there, I'm not hating. I said wheel, I mean to try
- 18:59because remember he kept showing up to tell her how terrible he
- 19:03was, but he wasn't wrong. He was really having dated other
- 19:06people. Yeah, I feel like she was in too
- 19:09deep. He left it too late.
- 19:10Yeah, and also just come in at that friend angle.
- 19:13Why don't know? Yeah.
- 19:15Then just drop little because he does is he kind of does in the
- 19:19end, I guess. Yes, but I feel like you
- 19:21shouldn't come full-blown. Like you've got to break up with
- 19:23him because he's got 15 other girlfriend.
- 19:25It's literally like, when your parents low, like I don't like
- 19:28him and you're like, I don't understand what you're saying,
- 19:30because you're my parents, right?
- 19:32Something I really hated about chases.
- 19:35So when he was trying to hyper up for sex, he was like, oh
- 19:38don't worry about your clothes, you'll fit right in, you'll be
- 19:41fine, they'll take care of you as soon as they have sex and
- 19:45she's like I want to go to a party.
- 19:46He's like, no. I think you'll be shying your
- 19:48clothes really don't fit in. Literally switches on a hub so
- 19:52fast with her own insecurities and crying.
- 19:55Yeah. And he was all you'll meet my
- 19:57family, everyone will accept you because I love you, blah, blah
- 20:00blah. Meanwhile his mama's biggest
- 20:02bitch in town and people knew that he was going up into the
- 20:07marsh. But he never said why you what,
- 20:10okay, why did she come down to being the suspicious person when
- 20:14he's always in the March? I know that deal would make a
- 20:17lot of sense if he's always hanging out in the marsh.
- 20:20But he never had to explain himself because he's chased
- 20:22Andrews star of the town. He peaked in high school 100%.
- 20:27Oh, definitely her relationship with Chase was the equivalent of
- 20:32those guys that are married and go on dating apps.
- 20:35You know, like Heather out there looking.
- 20:37Yes. Even though they're in a full
- 20:39relationship, but they still want to have some Secret side
- 20:42chick or whatever hundreds. And then he was lying to her the
- 20:47whole time and of course the girl he's Mary's is As well as
- 20:50pearls. And she her name was Pearl.
- 20:55I feel bad for her though, too. Because she was probably telling
- 20:58her the same thing. Yeah.
- 21:00Because remember she kind of sees him at in town with them
- 21:04and he's like oh this is Kaya. She lives in the marsh and then
- 21:06they walk off. Mmm and he's like originally had
- 21:10his arm around her so to confused awkward and so Tate's,
- 21:15realizing how much he sort of fucked up.
- 21:17Yeah, and he was kind of looking at her.
- 21:20Her like, oh wow, she's really matured and he noticed that
- 21:22she's a woman and I'm like, yeah, as opposed to a girl when
- 21:25you were trying to overcome with her the first time and you do
- 21:28and nipples are fully formed now.
- 21:33Yeah. And he was just, I don't know.
- 21:35So the cops were finally doing some cop work and actually
- 21:38starting to listen to the gossip, which is what I said
- 21:40they should have done in the first place.
- 21:41What is this turn around? I just don't understand any of
- 21:46their like, Detective work. Yes.
- 21:51Nothing method. I know saying made no sense they
- 21:53took forever, they took forever. They suddenly started listening
- 21:57to gossip when it was about her being the culprit.
- 21:59Yeah. Nothing else.
- 22:00It could have been anything else.
- 22:02Exactly. He could have fallen.
- 22:04This is when I started realizing that these part of the book
- 22:06started really dragging and it turned into a complete murder
- 22:10mystery book but really slow moving.
- 22:13It literally took all the romance.
- 22:15I don't know if it was ever, I never worked.
- 22:17If it was ever supposed to be. A romance or just a matter of
- 22:19like kind of like a notebook type.
- 22:21But there is no it was just really hard on our own all.
- 22:25I know I know and the birds hearing about birds grew its
- 22:29maybe it was a love story with her in the birds or the her in
- 22:32the March. Maybe that was, you know.
- 22:34Yeah. We like, oh yeah, imagine
- 22:37finding out your will, someone who you think is your boyfriend
- 22:40is getting engaged to a whole different bitch from a newspaper
- 22:44that you normally couldn't afford and you know what?
- 22:46She watches him, go into her house.
- 22:48He just walks right in the past one boss.
- 22:51Trying to look for her. Yeah and then looks at it and
- 22:54then goes to find her and then I don't think she sees him for a
- 22:56while. No, she just runs away from him.
- 22:59Yeah, bullshit and the only reason why you can read this
- 23:02because it's taped taught you to read em was.
- 23:04You just see their photos and be like, mmm Club photo?
- 23:07I know what it is like and then things started changing for her
- 23:12because she just published the book based on Tates advice.
- 23:15And then she started renovating our house.
- 23:18Of that. She got to a point where she was
- 23:20able to buy a proper food, renovator house and live
- 23:23comfortably. Her buying her land was so good
- 23:27to me. I know. 800 bucks.
- 23:29Yeah, but the whole I don't think that, I don't even think
- 23:33it was that much. I think it was like 300, it
- 23:35ended up being after and she got a toilet, a toilet, and a proper
- 23:40bath. And she was looking at replacing
- 23:43some things in the kitchen and she thought about her Mar and
- 23:46what would happen if Mom comes back.
- 23:48His annoyed can come back. Girl, Shane.
- 23:50Come back, mama's not coming back.
- 23:52Mama died. He's not coming back.
- 23:55She did, I found. This is where I was felt really
- 23:58sad for her. What's his?
- 24:01She's so desperate. I haven't been in issues a crazy
- 24:06and all she does is kind of like worried about these
- 24:09relationships with these boys. Yeah, it's officially never got
- 24:12to build other ones. No one's given her.
- 24:15The time of day, the couple of people who have, she I don't
- 24:18think she notices, they do besides jump in by the way.
- 24:22Jump in is my favorite character by far.
- 24:24Mmm. Yeah he is the best.
- 24:26He is the best because even Chi is not really, boys are like she
- 24:32just has a little lose a bitch, like she's got this survival but
- 24:36she doesn't have the, I don't know.
- 24:39There's something missing there. No guy.
- 24:41Quite literally, think her brain hasn't grown because she hasn't
- 24:44had the schooling life experience social Interaction.
- 24:48So she's still aren't working out a six-year-old level.
- 24:51These, something true I shouldn't be so harsh on her.
- 24:54It's fine. She's clearly at really ha ha.
- 24:59She's an ally. Don't know she's wheel of an
- 25:06alphabet Queen. She's clearly very smart though.
- 25:10She retains knowledge really well, she's like a genius author
- 25:14out of nowhere. Just pull that out of her ass
- 25:16mmm. Which Makes sense because of all
- 25:19her documenting about, I don't even think it was her books were
- 25:22even March besides like watercolors and I don't think he
- 25:26had information in it. I think it did.
- 25:29I was, it was like a categorized, all the different
- 25:31species of birds and all the different.
- 25:34So there was a real ass, she had a grass 12.
- 25:36Well, that's why I'm surprised she had enough material for a
- 25:38second book. She had like seven that's wild.
- 25:41I was just like, whoa. Yeah.
- 25:43And so she's getting steady paycheck and she's like, seeing
- 25:45a Jumpin. Don't need to yell like Muscles
- 25:48and you know what's so cute. He had put her book up in his
- 25:52shop and it's just so cute to me.
- 25:54Yeah, the entire book to me was just cowards leaving her.
- 25:58Hmm, anyways. Yeah, different ways except
- 26:02jumping. Yeah.
- 26:03Jumping was consistent and Mabel everyone left.
- 26:06My left, siblings life, dad left, take left Chase left.
- 26:11Yeah, Jody came back though. Yeah, that was weird.
- 26:15I don't expect that some reason. Yeah, am I I just want to rip
- 26:19into Jody, do I want to rip into the mum because I feel like her
- 26:22fucking excuses shit because she could have been life.
- 26:25I'm taking the kids to town for the day and they all could have
- 26:28left together. He wouldn't have noticed or when
- 26:30he was out drinking at the pub. They walked off together.
- 26:33Yeah, but I think the whole thing with the Auntie was that
- 26:36she had a mental break and didn't even yeah.
- 26:39Like she didn't even realize that she left the kids Behind
- 26:42until way later because she completely spaced out and he was
- 26:45so depressed that she was in a whole but they're nowhere.
- 26:48He was like I'd beat them unrecognizable.
- 26:50I don't understand why her parents and all of that didn't
- 26:53go with her to pick them up. I thought it was just a sister
- 26:57because she bite to back to where her dad left, her down,
- 27:00still alive. Why didn't her dad go help her?
- 27:03Get it? I don't know.
- 27:04I don't know if people got involved that much or maybe she
- 27:09just was scared that he would do it.
- 27:11Yeah, you know, and beat up on chiral.
- 27:14She probably thought Jodi was still there to this weird, but I
- 27:17mean, I'd be afraid of him too. I guess.
- 27:19Yeah Jody comes back. We find out that he went to war.
- 27:23Yeah. Well he went into the army, was
- 27:25it? Yeah.
- 27:26And then he's like and then I regretted leaving you, it's like
- 27:29ask why they do come back and look for her for ever until he
- 27:33saw her book published. I'm like, hmm, you didn't care,
- 27:36you only came back when you saw that.
- 27:38She was a alive and be successful somehow, yeah.
- 27:41What, what if she immediately died the next day?
- 27:44And he was surprised that she didn't go to school.
- 27:46He was like, what do you mean, girl?
- 27:48Cool. I'm like bitch, what you left me
- 27:50with an alcoholic, abusive, father.
- 27:52And he was barely even a, how she going to get to school every
- 27:55day. Mmm, and she goes her.
- 27:56Yeah, I went to school one day, but they believe me relentlessly
- 28:00and I never, and he was the one that told her to hide in the
- 28:02marsh of people came looking for her.
- 28:03I knew it was like, brought our dumb dumb and then, so she
- 28:07started telling him the whole story and then Gerry Dee came in
- 28:11hot with the Not all men speech. I was like, and he was all give
- 28:17Tater chip. Chance.
- 28:18He's matured, he was only a kid. He was only 19 at the time.
- 28:23You shouldn't just give him a chance, just because he still
- 28:25likes you. What about what you want?
- 28:28Hmm? Jason didn't ask what even if
- 28:31she isn't. She like 19 at this time, so
- 28:34that means he would being like 22.
- 28:36That's not much difference. My God, exactly.
- 28:40He's like, he's grown, he's matured, AKA he's all his other
- 28:43options, flopped. Do you think if he got its
- 28:45gently take got into a relationship with?
- 28:48Uni girl or whatever. Yeah he obviously got rejected
- 28:51and he's a bit of a loser so he had to come crawling back into
- 28:54the marsh. Do you think if he got a good
- 28:57girlfriend at University that actually was on, you know, I'm
- 29:02Tractive and everything. Yeah.
- 29:03Do you think he's come crawling back into the marsh?
- 29:06No, come on now. Come on.
- 29:08He tried to reach for the stars and he flopped persistence
- 29:12doesn't just equal the gushy pussy.
- 29:15I'm me. Yeah so chic Could some rested
- 29:20like hunting down the marsh. Hmm.
- 29:24Do they even have enough evidence to technically
- 29:26resident? Nothing to had speculation and
- 29:28gossip, they had red fibers. That's it.
- 29:32That was clearly ruled out back in the day.
- 29:34Could they have even tested the DNA on anything?
- 29:39I don't think so, because, you know how you watch True Crime
- 29:41and they go back so far and they're like, oh, we didn't have
- 29:43a proper DNA thing, so it was the 70s.
- 29:47Yeah, Early seven. I mean and the sheriff was a
- 29:50fucking idiot anyway, because they're like, did you check if
- 29:53the water could have washed up? Or if there was other Footprints
- 29:57and he's like, no, I actually do we even check the column soon
- 30:01no. But the funny thing is, well,
- 30:03not funny. So she's jailed for practically
- 30:05two months? Yes.
- 30:07She's pending. Yeah, death penalty.
- 30:09If she's found guilty. Yeah, practically no evidence.
- 30:13No evidence. Hawaii was the vibe, though.
- 30:15He came in hot. I wonder if he ever Ever thought
- 30:18it was her. I would assume that all defense
- 30:21lawyers would prepare themselves for ya if the client is lying to
- 30:26you and if they actually are guilty, he came out of
- 30:28retirement for her to what a queen queen and they just
- 30:33gas-lit the whole town and made everyone feel bad for everything
- 30:37she could be about it. But anyway, would you oppose the
- 30:41death penalty, if you were on the jury, or would you just like
- 30:45to stay on the jury for the tea? Because you don't have that,
- 30:49you're excused, if they were morally against the death
- 30:52penalty, I don't know, body. Therefore the T, I'd be there
- 30:55for the team. I'd be like, I don't like the
- 30:57idea. I'd probably feel really bad if
- 30:58she did. Get the death penalty though,
- 31:01but doesn't that make almost everyone in town bias?
- 31:03Yeah. Shouldn't they get out of towns
- 31:05to do this? Because they'll buy it.
- 31:07Well, they did ask to move towns and they're like, no.
- 31:10She doesn't face any up more buyers than any other person and
- 31:14they're like, yeah, she does. She's been called swamp trash.
- 31:18Like the whole time by the mother of the star of the
- 31:21fucking Champ, exactly what by the mother of the victim.
- 31:27I love that. They would just like, nah, it's
- 31:30all good. So she clearly kills him, right?
- 31:33Huh, but we never talked about why she clearly has killed him
- 31:39because we just skimmed right past it.
- 31:42But essentially, he tries to sa her.
- 31:45Well yeah, so when they flipping back and forth and we're finding
- 31:49out a bit more about what happened?
- 31:51Yeah, laughter the whole cheating thing came up.
- 31:54Yeah. So he returned one day just
- 31:56expecting to carry on their relationship and she confronted
- 31:59him. It's like absolutely not want to
- 32:02be with you anymore. You were with that other girl
- 32:04and you lied to me for everybody blah.
- 32:06He's like not so good. Let's just keep this as it is.
- 32:10Let's just keep the relationship.
- 32:11Yeah, because it benefits, you idiot.
- 32:13Yeah. And so he attacks her.
- 32:15And then yeah. So he goes to pretty much rape
- 32:17her. Yeah.
- 32:19What a loser, what the fuck. And then she kicks him off and
- 32:23gets away. Luckily for her and that's when
- 32:27the scrimp guys see the fisherman?
- 32:30See her boating away. So it happens in the first part
- 32:33of her court case and they're just like, oh we seen her
- 32:37running away screaming. I had him like kicking him,
- 32:39trying to pull her close up and everything and then they she
- 32:43goes out and she was yelling. I'll kill Yeah, I'm something
- 32:45that's the only thing. The court got out of it.
- 32:48Was that not the rest, and I just didn't understand they were
- 32:51like, oh, we heard the fact that she was a salted?
- 32:54But yeah, they're like, it's fine.
- 32:57Ladies run around with their pants down there and calls at
- 32:59all times. Yeah, normal.
- 33:01Yeah. Trying to get a man up them
- 33:02yelling. It's totally normies for a man
- 33:05to be just pulling your drawers down.
- 33:06Yeah, no biggie. And why just all the witnesses.
- 33:10Guess they were all guessing. It was her.
- 33:14It was Very funny. They were just like, yeah.
- 33:16And then anytime anyone else they like, well, there are no
- 33:19girls with that figure, in the middle of the Civil War, like
- 33:23I'm gonna pee. You're supposed to know.
- 33:26Absolutely everyone. But yes, in the marsh ever.
- 33:28And then so I was like, yeah, I know, I vote.
- 33:31And then her voice goes up and he's like, what type of bird is
- 33:33that? And it's like, it's very common
- 33:34boat, everyone has. And then he goes, oh well, did
- 33:38you have lights or not the time? He's like, no.
- 33:40He's like wool, was the moon bride?
- 33:43No, no, it was just a waning moon.
- 33:44You like barely any no visibility will how far away.
- 33:47Were you like a million kilometers away?
- 33:48No big deal just and he's on the other side of the country, you
- 33:51definitely saw that. It was her.
- 33:53I guess not ask the bus drivers and their be like you definitely
- 33:58seen her in a disguise and they're like I guess she could
- 34:00have been in disguise. How is the best part of the
- 34:04disguise being? I never even saw that.
- 34:08It was her in Disguise either. They were like younger.
- 34:11There was a lanky bloke on the past.
- 34:12I mean, I wasn't surprised that it was her, that did it, but I
- 34:15was surprised by the disguises. The second disguise was her, as
- 34:20an old lady, what old lady is, catching the bus at 2:50 a.m.
- 34:27she just finished her knitting. Where did she get the weave from
- 34:31lady? We But okay, at the time when
- 34:34they were introducing this evidence, obviously because it
- 34:36wasn't revealed that it was her. It's like why are they
- 34:40pinpointing some little old lady and some lanky guy?
- 34:43That sounds like complete opposites of the spectrum as
- 34:45definitely being her. Yeah, whoo.
- 34:47And then the lady at the Piggly. Wiggly saw, Kaya hop on and hop
- 34:51off the exact days that she said she was out of town.
- 34:54Oh yeah. I just and it's funny because
- 34:56all of her Witnesses are social. They seen her and the lady of
- 35:00the Piggly. Wiggly, there was a bit where it
- 35:02says Said that she used to take money out of her own purse to
- 35:05pay extra money. Yep, for Kaya to get things and
- 35:09it's just so cute. So they have her.
- 35:11They had the truant officer that was really happy that she was
- 35:14doing. Okay, for consider.
- 35:15It was just weird. It was like, these random little
- 35:17people. That's what I mean and they all
- 35:20Loki felt guilty I suppose. Yeah, yeah.
- 35:25I mean, at the end of the trial takes dad showing up to.
- 35:28He was like, I can't believe. I just didn't show up when I
- 35:31should be there. For my son, he's in love with
- 35:34her. You know what that also never
- 35:39fails to explain each meal even when she was in jail, I was
- 35:42like, ladies stop. I don't need to know what kind
- 35:44of role she's even yeah. Why she eaten better in prison
- 35:47than she was when she was six actually true.
- 35:50And but also, why did she need to tell us that the two local
- 35:53restaurants were taking turns to serve the jury food?
- 35:57Why do I need to know that? Why are you screaming?
- 36:04We thought because that's probably a part I skimmed
- 36:06because I was like, I'm over this just really explained how
- 36:09the launch worked Emily. Just in case.
- 36:10I just in case I do to be there, why am I giving this video?
- 36:14It's like they're getting the ready to Beyond Rodriguez is so
- 36:16tasty work. Like we're you did you taste and
- 36:21smell? So when and I know we're
- 36:23flipping all over the place it's because of how those stories
- 36:25laid out. So when Kai is being attacked by
- 36:28Chase and she's getting away, she kicks him right in the
- 36:31kidneys because she knows just just where they are.
- 36:33Little my mom, get those little kidney beans.
- 36:36Her little Biology book, she's been reading on a daily or makes
- 36:40sense. I just love how she didn't go to
- 36:43school and somehow she's smarter than half the town.
- 36:46She got them. Good survival, instincts.
- 36:48The yeah. Would you negotiate?
- 36:50The plea deal if you were her? Nah, she I think she knew she
- 36:53wasn't going to get away with it.
- 36:55She really seemed to not care during though.
- 36:58Yeah, she didn't give a fuck. She the guide.
- 37:00The lawyer was like, can you please look at the Yuri and be a
- 37:03bit more. Yeah.
- 37:05So that they have a bit of small sympathy and she's just like
- 37:07staring at the wall looking like a crazy person.
- 37:10There was literally no evidence. I don't know why she was
- 37:12arrested in the first place. Just like here, say they tried
- 37:15to bring up the fact that she wanted to stay in a hotel near
- 37:18the bus station and which she clearly did for a reason, you
- 37:23know, but even Tom heavily. Oh, pointed out he's like she's
- 37:27never been around people. So why would she want to go into
- 37:30the middle of downtown? Also, why do they A cat that
- 37:33just hangs around the courtroom, I know Sunday, Justice Sunday
- 37:38probably it's like a therapy pet, everyone involved.
- 37:42It was the only thing she interacted with in the whole
- 37:44court case. Yeah, she wasn't interacting
- 37:46with the jury. I shouldn't support bird in
- 37:48there with her like an emotional support bad.
- 37:52You know what's funny, though? Kaya had so much Shame about
- 37:56Jodi may be learning about the murder trial in general fact
- 37:58that she might be on trial for Murder.
- 38:00She fucking did it. Why does she care so much?
- 38:02If humans, if you tell them what, you got dirty, then don't
- 38:07do it in the first place, babes. But anyway, but she was just
- 38:10like so worried about him bitch. She abandoned you, he he he
- 38:16abandoned you for nothing, it might why didn't you tell your
- 38:19brother you will living scared? That's not only reason she tells
- 38:22him because she's living in fear and she wasn't able to sleep in
- 38:25her newly Furbish out. Yeah.
- 38:27She's like I'm not going to let this guy.
- 38:29Take this away from me. You know what?
- 38:31I understand that we know. Oh, how she murdered him, right?
- 38:34Hmm. I we know all the things but I
- 38:35want to know how she lured him there.
- 38:38What how she got up there? How she got rid of the
- 38:40fingerprints? They would have been all really
- 38:42exciting things to piece together in the end.
- 38:45That's true instead of a random poem but here we are true.
- 38:49It had a dramatic effect. Let's be real.
- 38:51Yeah, if that was me I'd be complaining about being innocent
- 38:55within five seconds to every single family member of a hub.
- 38:57Chicago. 32. No, I mean it's good but then he
- 39:05does find out obviously. And he rocks up in town.
- 39:08Yes, it's support her. Yeah, which is he probably
- 39:11thinks she's innocent. Yeah.
- 39:13Why don't, why does it matter anyway?
- 39:15He isn't being that as Austin. Yeah, I love how everyone's
- 39:21grasping at straws saying but she's practically everyone on
- 39:23the bus, including the bus driver, right?
- 39:26Like everyone is being she's the bus driver, she's the ticket
- 39:32maker. Our, she's the engines, the
- 39:34mechanic, she's the boss. So anyway, we're led to believe
- 39:38that fucking everybody and the boss is her, right.
- 39:41But then with that same kind of logic.
- 39:44It was definitely her in the boat in the pitch-black miles
- 39:48away. How does that make sense?
- 39:50How does that please? Everyone on the bus that makes
- 39:52sense, right, but that's definitely her in a boat a
- 39:57million miles away. I know in the dark she's very
- 40:01smart because I do Even know it how they she was probably
- 40:04confused. She's probably staring at the
- 40:06wall. Confused about how they
- 40:07backtracked it to her on nothing.
- 40:10He's like I did everything else. Maybe she thought it was that
- 40:14crazy that she would get away with it.
- 40:16No one's going to pinpoint a skin email and then a small
- 40:19little grammar as opposed to being me.
- 40:21How does she do that? I like they would have been
- 40:23interesting bits to have like her a little clip in the back of
- 40:26her getting him up there. Getting ready as an old lady if
- 40:30she's immediately across the road from my hotel room.
- 40:32She have to change before she walked over to her hotel room.
- 40:36Yeah, I know these are great things but I guess that's for us
- 40:40to figure out. I don't have the mental capacity
- 40:43to figure it out. I want to be called.
- 40:46We were told everything else. I was like, whatever is eating
- 40:49every 54 million. If you took away, all the food,
- 40:51she didn't have food to begin with.
- 40:53So I don't even know why I fucking at it and you gave me
- 40:56her getting dressed like a little old lady.
- 41:00Allah Almighty. About everyone at the Piggly.
- 41:03Wiggly gossiping seeing her hop on and off the bus.
- 41:06Why is that gossip worthy called other people.
- 41:09She's like, oh, look at that kayak club called me monkey
- 41:12bumps. Okay, get a life lady alive.
- 41:15She's a published author. Whoa, she's an orphan.
- 41:19She's meeting with the publisher in the big city in the big city
- 41:23eat it. She probably earns more than all
- 41:25of you little selfish bastard. Exactly.
- 41:28So it's interesting that she thought that with Supergirl
- 41:30sobriety but it only just strengthened her case.
- 41:33I'm pretty sure she was also the one that was giving her money,
- 41:36so maybe she was just slightly excited.
- 41:38Like, oh my God, she's getting on a bus because she doesn't
- 41:40come into town anymore because the guy she's about to murder is
- 41:45getting married. Exactly.
- 41:46Well, I mean, she never sees her do anything and the motel owner
- 41:52thought she was funny because she had a cardboard suitcase,
- 41:54and she brought her in lunch sort of thing.
- 41:56He was like, it will. Look at this pumpkin pumpkin.
- 41:59It also adds to it. So they found the red fibers.
- 42:02His body, and they debunk that packed being any time, but she
- 42:07forbore hat on the bus. So, she went and got another pad
- 42:11to wear on the bus. He wouldn't, you you like get
- 42:14rid of the red hat, even though take gave it to you.
- 42:16And then put the blue hat on and maybe not because you wouldn't
- 42:19want to be seen. Getting maybe she wanted to get
- 42:23caught. I'm assuming the red fiber was
- 42:25just an accident. Yeah.
- 42:27So did she change hat? She was that she just got a wig.
- 42:31She's gonna have to shoot She apparently has black long hair
- 42:34down to her ass hole. What does it like curl into her
- 42:40house? Probably Okay.
- 42:45So this part of the book really was the plateau e boring bit and
- 42:49I was like, come on I want to know friends and then we're like
- 42:52the conclusion is very steep downhill yet.
- 42:54Anyway, I don't know why we called it a water tower last
- 42:57time because it's actually fired.
- 42:59Well, because a fire tower and why is it on the marsh?
- 43:01My eyes up high to be a water tower.
- 43:03Why is a fire tower on water? No idea.
- 43:06What is a fight? Our, that's what it is.
- 43:08Why wouldn't it be a water tower?
- 43:10Well, a light Tower, it's a water tower to Arson.
- 43:13That's what knows. There's a lot of the dumbass
- 43:16share of writing his own letter saying someone would be
- 43:19dangerous and died. She didn't even plan that bit.
- 43:22It just came in. How did she get rid of all her
- 43:25fingerprints? She may be grinded them off
- 43:27before the end. She's feathers decline gloves,
- 43:34Maybe. It's all that.
- 43:36Which all her old lady gloves. Yeah.
- 43:38Pretty multi-purpose. And also look like gloves.
- 43:46She have the time because even when they were in her court case
- 43:49L like she would have needed at least an hour and a half.
- 43:52They didn't include her. Getting changed into her
- 43:54disguise. She was however and through.
- 43:57She had like, 50 minutes, she had the mount mrs.
- 44:00Doubtfire routine, on lock what? You know, how he changes.
- 44:05Mrs. Top ties and tie off if she fucks like she literally had 50
- 44:09minutes to get off a bus. Get to the Tower, she be Runner.
- 44:14What if he was in there? Murder him.
- 44:16I know it was a lot. She was busy that day.
- 44:19She didn't busy when I was still thinking she was innocent,
- 44:22right? I thought this all of the
- 44:25theories that the police were coming up with would ludicrous.
- 44:28I was like, why would she be rushing to hold on the town?
- 44:31There's accounted for 20 minutes that she could have had, I
- 44:34reckon she would have got away with it more.
- 44:36If she went to the town twice or a couple of towns beforehand,
- 44:39like she bite this month and then she went the next month and
- 44:42then she went in a month after not the art, she's only time she
- 44:46leaves. Yes, the town is when she met us
- 44:48someone yeah, that was us. Yeah.
- 44:51That was us like if Shiva if she planned ahead but she didn't
- 44:54plan ahead ahead. She should have.
- 44:56Yeah, this is now True Crime podcast.
- 44:59This is. Yeah exactly.
- 45:00This is now a murder book podcast we're into the court
- 45:04case. Now, what?
- 45:05Else was evidence. There was the red hat.
- 45:07There was what potentially being in Disguise her potentially
- 45:12running away and saying, I'm going to kill you which was a
- 45:14different day, the guy at the motel Olivia to get pizza and go
- 45:18to the toilet and then I'll call her.
- 45:22Yeah, check in and check out all the days that you were supposed
- 45:25to. And then she had her editor that
- 45:27dropped her off at 10:00. So she had to get on the bus at
- 45:3011:50. Yep.
- 45:32And then, the editor picked her up at 7:30.
- 45:35In the morning, they had no evidence.
- 45:38I don't owe the shell necklace. Missing wasn't the evidence.
- 45:42Yeah. But they didn't find it at her
- 45:43house now. So where is that evidence?
- 45:47I don't know why. She just didn't burn all the
- 45:49shit like everything if she honestly cared.
- 45:53I think she was just happy that he did it.
- 45:55Yeah. She didn't seem to care if she
- 45:57wasn't really emotionally checked, in during the process,
- 46:01she wasn't sitting there going. Oh, no, what happens if I get
- 46:06The death penalty, she was Lakshmi.
- 46:09I'm just tired. Only care about this cat.
- 46:11My goals and my goals go feed my goals.
- 46:13Tape, that did happen. Exactly.
- 46:16And he was wrapped around her finger already by that.
- 46:18Know practically together. No, practically, married,
- 46:21practically, married, jump and dying was just the stupidest
- 46:25plot point. No offense.
- 46:27Yeah, it was just to make us feel sad again, or something,
- 46:30and then tights, dad dying as well around the same time.
- 46:35Oh, I Totally skimmed that. Yeah, his dad died, the police
- 46:40rushed out on the marsh. It was when they won't forget.
- 46:43They weren't talking yet. Again, I was like one eye, I
- 46:46does. He need a dog.
- 46:48Are you trying to sit tight up to be online?
- 46:51What are you doing? Maybe it was just really like
- 46:54because Mabel was like jumping thought of you as you know his
- 46:58daughter and you and then she was like and he was like my path
- 47:01and I was like, okay, okay chill we get a bit you can't not.
- 47:05Develop that relationship too much and then make us feel sad
- 47:09about it later. I didn't even feel sad.
- 47:11That's why it wasn't developed properly.
- 47:14Yeah, to throw in the end to make us feel like, you know,
- 47:17relationship in this entire book was developed enough for me to
- 47:20feel any way about it. Mmm, even her and Tate's by the
- 47:24end, you my did not care but I didn't get it when they did the
- 47:27jump forward. I was like, you know, even when
- 47:31I was like, any didn't even give any substance in that for me to
- 47:34be happy about. About it.
- 47:36Well, it was a relationship that was proximity and then his lack
- 47:41of other options. Yeah, but you know how when they
- 47:46kiss and she was like, are we are we dating now whatever?
- 47:50In my you go for? Now he asks her to marry her and
- 47:53she goes, we are married like geese.
- 47:56I would never marry her. Are you kidding Emily?
- 47:59Why don't you just marry someone like a goose married?
- 48:03Like he's what does that mean? Goose theme Wedding.
- 48:07It means huh? Like the white chick dress, I
- 48:12don't know what that means. Do to help me.
- 48:14Do a geese, famous for getting married or do they just pair up
- 48:18and maybe, maybe they like penguins are monogamous or
- 48:21whatever. Ship doesn't know what a penguin
- 48:23is it sounding like she doesn't want to have a wedding at
- 48:28sounding why? She doesn't really give a fuck
- 48:30exactly like that. It's that easy.
- 48:32He's probably like, wow, I saved so much coin by marrying.
- 48:35The man. This girl she a queen then him
- 48:40out this point to maybe, because remember they built her, our lab
- 48:44and a whole wraparound porch. And was he doing again?
- 48:48Oh well. He was working was something
- 48:49that you had a research center for wondered babies.
- 48:53We get to the point. So Jonathan died.
- 48:55And it was really sad. Yeah.
- 48:57Then we get to the verdict. Yeah, I thought you was going to
- 49:01be found guilty. I don't know why, I thought I
- 49:04was going to be opposite. She's Found guilty, but she was
- 49:06innocent but it was the opposite.
- 49:09She wasn't found guilty and she was like, I think that was the
- 49:16twist for me. I was like I knew she ain't
- 49:18literally when I started reading hours I got its 100% her, there
- 49:22is no doubt think I just did. Yeah.
- 49:25In my mind, I think she tried to play it off, but I think she
- 49:27could have played it off better. I think they could have written
- 49:31it better. I think that just goes to show
- 49:34that for me. Being almost raped, wasn't
- 49:37enough to need to murder someone that's kind of concerning.
- 49:41Okay, that's enough. Murder someone and ruined
- 49:45potentially ruin your own life. I didn't see the urgency yeah
- 49:49treachery. But it was more because she
- 49:51didn't feel safe. Yeah, she thought he was going
- 49:53to come back and finish the job so it was either him or her?
- 49:56Yeah. So that I get, but they didn't
- 49:58allude to that. Yes, I'm yeah.
- 50:01So I think that's why I didn't take it seriously as a potential
- 50:03option and also I was on cruise control.
- 50:05By this point, I was just tell me what happens.
- 50:08Tell me what happened? Just tell that.
- 50:09I mean, like, I wonder if they were doing the case stuff and
- 50:13they're flipping. I knew it was her, I knew
- 50:15somehow she did it but when they'll flip-flopping between
- 50:17like the boss in the house of the fuck's sake, I'm sorry kid.
- 50:21I put what they had to do back in the day.
- 50:23Yeah, eyewitness accounts only and I just, it was so boring.
- 50:28Oh, tell me about it. I was like, can we wrap this up?
- 50:31And then we get to the end of the book.
- 50:33It's still boring. They grew up, they grew
- 50:36together, they got old, they had a research lab and then she had
- 50:40a heart attack, pretty much on a boat at 64 and then he was just
- 50:43sad. And then he found a box with the
- 50:45shell on it with the evidence of looked at with the evidence.
- 50:48And then he burned all the evidence and he found out that
- 50:50she was actually the local poet. Yeah.
- 50:53And he found a poem specific to her killing him.
- 50:57She's a poet killer. Yeah and she said it was easy to
- 51:01lure him up there. I guess she did say that
- 51:04somewhere in the Because she's pushy so I don't know.
- 51:08It's transformed because she's pushy, pushy, so yeah, she just
- 51:12lured him on up there and pushed him.
- 51:15Badda-bing, badda-boom order. Chase babes, are you losing your
- 51:20balance? Oh, no.
- 51:22Oh no, that's an actual like trapdoor.
- 51:26That's not very stable on this very non stable, Firepower, that
- 51:31they should just knock down, but we totally, I'll make.
- 51:34Out with you up here because my children who knows how exactly
- 51:39she planned that out. But it had to be that day at
- 51:41that time because she had her Alibi all lined up so she's done
- 51:44really well. I mean she liked.
- 51:46Yeah she did really well hiding it because if she was like yeah
- 51:50I've decided that this is the time and that's it.
- 51:53That is kind of badass and I don't think she would have read
- 51:55it down anywhere just in her admission.
- 52:00When did she buy the clothes and stuff?
- 52:03Well, I guess she was making money at that point.
- 52:05Yeah but when someone noticed you buying old lady clothes only
- 52:08did it gradually I guess I don't know.
- 52:10That was a lot that we need to figure out.
- 52:12Yeah, so the ending you expected it.
- 52:15I didn't expect it but I was on board I was like I'll take it
- 52:18whatever. Hmm.
- 52:20Yeah I don't mind, she didn't give any more characters for it
- 52:25to be. That's well, that's what I mean.
- 52:27You normally get a red herring in there somewhere that you're
- 52:29kind of like, aw tape found out about the sexual assault.
- 52:32And now he's chasing after Chase like It would be a reason.
- 52:36Yeah. But there was no alternative
- 52:37jump and found out but it's like jumping was always in the same
- 52:40spot, he never. And she did tell him.
- 52:43Yeah, but that wasn't enough in the book for us to suspect him.
- 52:46Allen Tate really it's a relationship was really Bland at
- 52:50the time to. Yeah.
- 52:51It wasn't. There's a super room.
- 52:53Yeah. There was only two options there
- 52:55could have been and there was no way.
- 52:57I thought they would have been an option job of the crazy, a
- 53:00smart girl that fucking stabbed her and foot and then hid from,
- 53:04yeah. Her 100% it's caught and she
- 53:07just adopted the martial law. You know how anything goes in
- 53:10the March. She was like well you're in my
- 53:13fucking territory now bitch. I mean she did pay for the
- 53:15March. I don't know if she paid for
- 53:16that land but you know yeah that's cheeks her land.
- 53:20Well it's kind of like fuck around and find out that's kind
- 53:23of what it was like. Like it's my fault to try me.
- 53:27She's track and this is her swap.
- 53:29Its hands, do not fuck with Shrek swallow.
- 53:32Not Hello. It all comes back to Shrek.
- 53:35Shrek is love, Shrek is life. Shrek is the answer to this
- 53:38track is matter. Just make very much sense.
- 53:43If anyone asks you what where the crawdads thing is about to
- 53:45say, it's like Shrek 2, Shrek. Did you know crawdads fish?
- 53:50I don't, I know, I thought they were the goals.
- 53:54I thought they were bad. Exactly.
- 53:56It makes more sense. I've learnt so many things about
- 53:58birds that I do not care about. I love how it was confirmed.
- 54:02That it was her through the letter.
- 54:05Tate is a real one because you just burnt all that.
- 54:07He's like hmm, I'm just going to let her Legacy be that everyone
- 54:10feels guilty for treating her like shit.
- 54:11I think he she definitely deserved it because he was at
- 54:14the trial and I'm like he heard the sexual assault in my revered
- 54:18and he was heard, ah, yeah. Number one fan.
- 54:21So I feel like that's it. But he even was like, all the
- 54:24shell can just go back. He burnt the room or hide?
- 54:27Yeah, bad the box of letters. We Stand.
- 54:30We are supportive King, he problems.
- 54:32I came with that he was from the like, I don't know.
- 54:35First, imagine if you found that and she wasn't dead.
- 54:38You're like, whoa. I'm never gonna cheat on her or
- 54:41do anything bad. I'm surprised.
- 54:44She didn't better. Well, she wanted that and I
- 54:47guess written down or maybe she wanted someone to find it in the
- 54:50end. Yeah.
- 54:51Because you can't get child for it twice.
- 54:53Exactly. So she's fine.
- 54:56I love how it because when it was confirmed, I realized that
- 54:58she was technically in drag on multiple uses of like we stand a
- 55:01gender-bending murders, Queen Yes, confuse the Straits,
- 55:07they're not going to, they don't know.
- 55:09Shit, do you gender-bending? They didn't.
- 55:11I don't gonna point that out. Then I'm gonna see that.
- 55:14As a thing I was confused about the timeline of when the sexual
- 55:18assault attempt happened and then when she actually murdered
- 55:21him, how much time is in between kills a month.
- 55:23Wow. So she got to planning real
- 55:25quick, she got to planning. It was like he did it and she
- 55:28immediately started planning because it was a bit where she
- 55:31was sitting on the sand. I think, knew her reading heart,
- 55:34because she was too. Too scared to go to her house
- 55:36and she was like, I don't want to live in fear, right?
- 55:39And we know she's not leaving the marsh.
- 55:42No, she's that's her whole livelihood.
- 55:45Yeah, that area to, that's it. That's it.
- 55:47Her life is Marsh, that's all that matters and he was
- 55:49threatening that life. You would think that at some
- 55:52point, you would hope that he would just fuck off.
- 55:54Hmm. But she's like, I'm not gonna
- 55:57even let him fuck off. No.
- 55:58You know. Fuck off rifle.
- 56:01I mean if he was going to do that, once he 100% would have
- 56:05done that multiple occasions. Yeah, to probably other people
- 56:08too. So she did everyone a favor.
- 56:10Yeah. So everyone should technically
- 56:12of panic and fuck off and I mean he was 23, he was so young and
- 56:18if that's how he's already acting, it's just yeah, not a
- 56:21good news so entitled. Hmm.
- 56:24Are you going to watch the movie?
- 56:25Yeah, I reckon the movie would be.
- 56:27All right, the movie the trailer.
- 56:28At least look pretty aesthetic and it has a regional song by
- 56:31Taylor Swift in it. Yeah.
- 56:32Has a really good vibe about it. It's kind of sad that they
- 56:36didn't have kids but they were such an oatmeal.
- 56:38Couple. What is going on?
- 56:40Where's the spice? Where's the passion?
- 56:42There was nothing. I can't imagine them having sex
- 56:44going well, either because she never had a sex scene or a.
- 56:49Yeah, they thought they could have gave us one.
- 56:53I don't, I don't think it's entirely about the sex.
- 56:55Carol. It's honestly, it isn't part of
- 56:58her having a good. I know you're give us a glimmer
- 57:01of good loving experience. What instead of her weird robot
- 57:05responses? Yeah, him.
- 57:07Because even with Tate, it wasn't.
- 57:09Yes or Keys. It was always like Roberto any
- 57:12time they had a conversation. It was some weird thing about
- 57:15birds and I guess it's cute. How tape taught her how to read
- 57:19and then she became an author. Yeah.
- 57:21So it's kind of that connection there Yeah.
- 57:26And she got to live on her own terms in the marsh.
- 57:28Like she wanted to just be a marsh bitch forever.
- 57:31Yeah, much bitch. I mean why I suppose if you're
- 57:34living with birds you don't have to really pay bills and uh we're
- 57:38doing it wrong Emily. We should be packing up and
- 57:40moving into a March. Hello will say we can just buy a
- 57:44whole March for 800 bucks and a wasteland.
- 57:47Yes. I lost one day.
- 57:50One day I get so bored. I'll be like it was, it always
- 57:53mosquito Sam whammy Ben wants look like Glad we're finished
- 58:01with this book. It was an experience.
- 58:03It was an experience, our it took me out.
- 58:06Yeah, it took me right into that.
- 58:08Stinky ass massage and then into that boring stale courtroom and
- 58:14it's very tasteful menu. She has.
- 58:19Yeah, it really took us places that we never thought we'd ever
- 58:23go so it really took me to 1964. Yeah.
- 58:26So I'm going to give it points for being immersive.
- 58:30Going to take away points for being bored and it dragged.
- 58:35It didn't have to drag that much.
- 58:36It did not have to drag that much.
- 58:37Yeah. Get it like short enough that
- 58:39everyone was so fucking stupid. It's the characters.
- 58:44It's a chess. Once everyone's so stupid, the
- 58:47tape and Kya relationship had to be bit more spicy for me.
- 58:51Come on, give us something. There was no chemistry, that's
- 58:53what I mean. Pay attention, it's spicy.
- 58:55There was two robots. They were too nerdy, one of us.
- 58:59Yeah. I just think he couldn't get
- 59:01with another girl. They probably don't want to hear
- 59:03about fucking Birds. Yeah.
- 59:05And he's like, oh shit, Kyle lovebird talk.
- 59:08She loved him and then he came rushing back.
- 59:10Only to realize Chase Andrews has come in and sweep her up his
- 59:13girlfriend. Number 885.
- 59:15Yeah, I'm surprised she didn't get going Media or something.
- 59:19Hey, she wouldn't have known if she did have it, I guess.
- 59:22Don't you could be nothing. It was Chase all along.
- 59:32Okay, here's what I think. We should write it out of here.
- 59:36Okay. So let's write it out.
- 59:37Of how many circling nipples out of 5.
- 59:41Do you hate when you looking at me like what?
- 59:47Thank God. We didn't figure two full
- 59:50circles and one full circle once.
- 59:55So it is it one or two? No, one and a half.
- 1:00:00Okay. It's not bad.
- 1:00:01It's just not great either. Hmm.
- 1:00:03So your I was going to go with two circling nipples out of
- 1:00:07five. Yeah, for the exact reasons that
- 1:00:10I mentioned before, the only reason why I'm giving it two out
- 1:00:12of five is because it was immersive.
- 1:00:14Took me out of my own shitty life chokes.
- 1:00:18It's not that bad it made me appreciate the fact that I don't
- 1:00:22have to eat grits. Exactly.
- 1:00:24No. Yeah I yeah I'm not giving I
- 1:00:27could have just been done better.
- 1:00:30Honestly, I'm just too immature for anything serious.
- 1:00:34You think it was too serious? Yeah, I think it was too
- 1:00:36serious. Okay, besides the shit like,
- 1:00:39hmm? We have married, like, geese.
- 1:00:41When I picked this book, I didn't know.
- 1:00:43It was murder mystery. Right now, does everything have
- 1:00:46to have a definite? A murder mystery.
- 1:00:49That doesn't automatically make a story good.
- 1:00:51Yeah, he didn't. He didn't have to die.
- 1:00:53I mean, there was no murder mystery.
- 1:00:55There was no mystery to murder. That's on me.
- 1:00:57It was just the murder and then the lack of evidence.
- 1:00:59So I mean it was just kind of going up and then a better and
- 1:01:05then them explaining how she did the murder.
- 1:01:08Yeah it's pretty run-of-the-mill matter.
- 1:01:10You know, I feel like the time because you ain't back and forth
- 1:01:13it all happened within like two months.
- 1:01:15I know. Wow.
- 1:01:17So we'll hold Cycles to whole circles and not a circle or not
- 1:01:21even a semi one tackle. One nipple each.
- 1:01:24So yours is a one-and-a-half nipple rotations.
- 1:01:27Yeah. Okay.
- 1:01:28Like not a full. Wow.
- 1:01:30So next pick next book pick is going to be your book pick.
- 1:01:33Yeah, I have no options. Okay.
- 1:01:35So let's do something. Not struggle porn.
- 1:01:38Just as a suggestion. Please do we want something,
- 1:01:41fruity? Something online?
- 1:01:43Yeah, light and fruity smutty. Maybe because this had no smart,
- 1:01:47like there wasn't enough for us to get all powers a whole smart.
- 1:01:50Yes, I am. I'm a whore for talking about it
- 1:01:54because it's the funniest things to talk about.
- 1:01:55I feel like I'm just going to slowly go do and books.
- 1:01:59We that you're going to be like oh what is this about?
- 1:02:02And then I'm going to be like laughs, I'm fine with that,
