- 1:10SPEAKER_02: Welcome back everyone.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: That was a surprise.
- 1:18SPEAKER_02: Welcome back to the cleaning business live.
- 1:20SPEAKER_02: I am Jamie with Above All Cleaning, and I am with our host, Shannon Miller.
- 1:27SPEAKER_02: And we are on our second segment of March to a Million.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: So if you're just joining in, I recommend you go listen, take a listen to that last episode.
- 1:41SPEAKER_02: And yeah, let's get into it.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: In in this particular episode, I wanted to touch on a few things.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: So there are big decisions, there are medium-sized decisions, and then there are little decisions.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: And whether you realize it or not in your business, the big decisions are like, oh my God, am I going to do this?
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: Am I the panic attack that comes with it, all of the stuff in your head?
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: It's the little decisions that get you there.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: I had a mentor, God, 20 years ago, and they were talking about things about engineering it backwards.
- 2:15SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I don't, I can't even figure out how to get from A to B.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: How am I going to engineer it backwards, right?
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: And what I came to realize is that it's the small, little baby steps that get you where you want to go.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: So consistency is key.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Collaboration with others, if you can do it, listening to podcasts like this will also help you.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: But if you take small actions every day, eventually you'll get to where you want to go.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: And then when you get to where you want to go, guess what?
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: You have more tiny decisions that need to be made about the next segment of what you're doing.
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: It's funny.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: I was just listening to something about this, about it's called the Eisenhower effect.
- 2:50SPEAKER_02: What is that?
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: Tell the audience.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: Tell me.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: Okay, so the Eisenhower effect is you have four things which it needs your attention, which is urgent, somewhat urgent, and you place all these things in these boxes.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: I don't know what the last one is, but it I can't remember.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: I'm just learning it.
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: But it is, it's called if you listen to this, look it up.
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: It's called the Eisenhower effect.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: And that's something similar to what you're you're describing is small, actionable stuff.
- 3:29SPEAKER_02: And you guys, it has to be actionable.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you have to take action.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: You can't just philosophize in your brain and like, okay, well, I didn't get anywhere this week.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Maybe next week you have to actually take action.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: And and so and with some people, the the tiny steps have to be even smaller steps because it's it's scary to get momentum going.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: But once you start to get momentum, you're running, like Forrest Gump, right?
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: He just ran marathon after marathon after marathon.
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: And that's actually how I was after I got my braces off on my legs, because you guys have all heard how I was handicapped as a kid.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: But you get so excited, right?
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: You get excited.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: Um I ran all over the place.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: All everywhere.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: I ran from the car to the house, from the house to the grocery store.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, I ran everywhere, just like Forrest Cump.
- 4:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, uh, that's that is so interesting because that kind of goes back into how you were running your business now and how it's like, yep, uh little steps at a time.
- 4:23SPEAKER_02: And then once you got those off, it's like you literally was running, off and running.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: I love that story.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, running.
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: I love that story and how it pertains to how it kind of pertains to this.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: It does.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: It was a certain amount of freedom that I didn't have.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: I mean, I wore those darn things for uh 10, 10 years.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: I asked my mom the other day, she doesn't remember.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I you should remember.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: You traumatized me.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Well, my mom, she's almost 80.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: She's there's no way she's gonna remember all of the details of that.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: But there's gonna be some smaller baby steps that you can do, and we're gonna talk about a little bit about those.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: The first one is, and I'm looking, if you see me looking down, I'm not trying to ignore you.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: We're having printer issues, and so I'm using my electronic device to go over the talking point.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: So your morning routine does impact your day.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: And we could philosophize over making your bed versus not making your bed, but your morning routine, like Jamie now has a routine to get to her office.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: After kid drop off, I'm sure there's a whole ritual that happens.
- 5:30SPEAKER_02: I wake up now about an hour and a half earlier than everybody else.
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: I make my coffee, I get the laptop open, and this is while I'm still at the house, making sure that we didn't have something drop into the pipeline.
- 5:46SPEAKER_02: Uh my pipeline of did we get new somebody fill out an app a request?
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: Did do I need to follow up?
- 5:54SPEAKER_02: So I I I I answer emails that is my time to do that, and then getting to the office.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: That's when the real action happens.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: But those are those are morning time routines.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: And and your your morning time routine could be different for everybody.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: I get up early because that's when my house is quiet.
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: I also have a puppy who is insistent on getting up at 3 30 in the morning.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: What?
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: Right, 3 30 in the morning, like it's early.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Wait, roll that back.
- 6:28unknown: Puppy.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, we uh wasn't, it's actually my daughter's puppy.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: It's not mine because I was not ready after Adrienne left so abruptly, right before Easter.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: I was just like, I need to, I I have Paisley, but I was like, I'm I'm not ready for another dog.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: I just wasn't.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: But then opportunity came for my daughter to have a puppy.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Here, I can she's sleeping.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: I'll grab her really quick.
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, please.
- 6:51SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh.
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: If you guys know uh why she's doing that, if you guys know anything about Shannon and I, is we are oh my girl!
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: She's a miniature shepherd dog.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: Her name is Olive.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: She's like, Why did you wake me up?
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: I'm taking that baby.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: She's a big yawn.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: Yes, I was napping.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: But yeah, she we have a puppy, and somehow or another, this puppy ends up sleeping with me.
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: She's not my dog, she's not my dog, and keep telling everybody she's not my dog.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: So um so there is a there's a routine that you need to, and what and it changes.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: Some people do a little bit of Bible work before they start work, whatever, whatever it is, it needs to be consistent so that you can start to take steps.
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: And then you've heard us talk about time blocking.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: Jamie and I are huge, as you both know.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: We both have kids in school, and that and I actually and it's a it's a vicious cycle.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: At the end of the school year, I'm like, yes.
- 7:55SPEAKER_00: And then when as we were leading into the school year starting, I was like, yes, yeah.
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: So it's never a happy medium.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: But that morning routine kind of goes into your time blocking.
- 8:09SPEAKER_02: I didn't know that's what that was called.
- 8:10SPEAKER_02: I thought I was just like, okay, well, kid drop off, kid pickup, whatever we can get.
- 8:17SPEAKER_02: I didn't know that that was time blocking.
- 8:19SPEAKER_00: I now since I'm more productive when I have the six hours because I know I have six approximately six hours from start to finish.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: So I block out times for certain tasks.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: And then as Jamie mentioned, obviously she's not going to return calls an hour and a half before everyone else is up in her house.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: But she can make a note or AI it or whatever she's doing.
- 8:41SPEAKER_00: Um, answering emails is also another habit that you need to check.
- 8:44SPEAKER_00: And I I don't remember where I saw it because there's too much information.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I didn't mean to press that.
- 8:51SPEAKER_00: So where I don't know where I saw it, but they she has assistance and she has a whole team working for her, so she's able to facilitate this.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: But I went in and I guiltily looked in my email account because I have like 15 email accounts, and each email account has like 10,000 emails.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: And she's like, we just have one.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh my god, how do you only have and it's because she has someone on top of it, she has AI implemented, and then there's someone else who's on top of that implementation.
- 9:18SPEAKER_02: Well, Libby, Libby do just Libby, Libby.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: Uh actually, uh, she has.
- 9:26SPEAKER_02: If you look, she has Leia.
- 9:31SPEAKER_02: Leia is specifically built for the cleaning business industry, and we can talk about that another time.
- 9:38SPEAKER_02: I'd love to have her on.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: But she is Libby.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: If you're listening, I want to talk about your vision because you know.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: I just we I see where you're going.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: I want to talk about it.
- 9:52SPEAKER_02: She's really big in the cleaning industry, just like Holly Moore, who introduced me to the March to a Million.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: And these people are our tribe.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: It's our group of people.
- 10:04SPEAKER_02: Everybody just kind of bounces ideas and everything off of each other.
- 10:09SPEAKER_02: Of how and none of them really make you feel like you're less than that you don't belong in the room.
- 10:16SPEAKER_02: They don't feel it does not feel like you have that imposter syndrome.
- 10:20SPEAKER_02: But back to these little tiny decisions, compounding, recording one more podcast, Shannon.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Doing that early in the morning.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: AI just slipped that in there.
- 10:31SPEAKER_02: So I do this writing one more SLP.
- 10:38SPEAKER_02: It doesn't have to be perfect, you guys.
- 10:41SPEAKER_02: I remember I spent a lot of time trying to perfect it.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: Like gosh, try even trying to maintenance their vacuum cleaners.
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: This is for my cleaning tags.
- 10:53SPEAKER_02: It was literally like there's a button under here.
- 10:56SPEAKER_02: It was like it was so complicated, and I made it so much more complicated than it needed to be.
- 11:03SPEAKER_00: It's the bottleneck trying to get it out of our heads.
- 11:06SPEAKER_02: Very, very much so.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: It's so hard, you guys.
- 11:10SPEAKER_02: Posting whenever you don't feel like it.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: I will say that I have help with this.
- 11:17SPEAKER_02: I have this is the the very first thing that I thought that I could delegate.
- 11:22SPEAKER_02: And actually, like I had in the beginning, I had no idea what I was like, how okay.
- 11:29SPEAKER_02: I wrote Sarah and I was like, so how's this work?
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: Like, how what do I do?
- 11:34SPEAKER_02: And she goes, usually people start off with just social media.
- 11:39SPEAKER_02: Fine, take my social media page.
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: And if you look years back, you will see how generic in the beginning it was.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: And she had no guidance, she was just doing, you know, I was paying, but it was like the last thing that I wanted to because I was still working in the business at that time, and it was like the last thing I wanted to do was do before and after pictures and da-da-da-da-da.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: Now we under I've been working with her for a couple of years, and I have literally given her a playbook.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: This is what I want.
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: And she's like the biggest cheerleader ever because she's helped me grow.
- 12:23SPEAKER_02: She's grown with me.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: She's grown her own Psychic Sarah.
- 12:28SPEAKER_02: If you guys look her up, Psychick Sarah, she's grown her own company, but she's grown with me.
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: I've watched her business grow.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: She has an interview with us as well.
- 12:38SPEAKER_00: You just have to look for it.
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 12:41SPEAKER_02: And so posting when you feel like it, those are you don't feel like it.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: You gotta start wondering when when can I start offing those tasks?
- 12:58SPEAKER_02: Those little bitty tasks so I can work on something else.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: Following up with people, that is another task that I'm trying to work on.
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: Getting it's a position that I guess I need to make because I do, I'm getting to where I need help in the office.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: I'm so scared about that because honestly, you guys, this is where like that don't br generate any revenue for me or you know, for my company.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: That's whenever it's like, okay, how does this work?
- 14:03SPEAKER_02: How how does how does making the the client situation well?
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: So I need somebody to start answering phones.
- 14:12SPEAKER_02: I don't even know how to use a phone service.
- 14:15SPEAKER_02: I have another desk over there looking like it's getting ready to be used.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: I got a keyboard, I just need a monitor, and I'm looking at it like I'm ready to put somebody in that position.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: But it is nerve-wracking.
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: I haven't done it yet, but you will see that reading instead of scrolling.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: This has become an intermittent problem.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: I think it's worldwide.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: I'm guilty of doing it.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: I thankful, thank God, I don't do it as often as everybody else, but I have guiltily gotten on a scroll.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh, this is interesting.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: And then I scroll again.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh, this is interesting too.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: And then before you know it, a whole hour has been wasted.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: I'm like, oh my god, I just wasted a whole hour of my time scrolling.
- 15:01SPEAKER_00: And I don't mean to, but I I that it's the dopamine kick, right?
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: You're subconsciously feeding the dopamine, feeding the dopamine.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: And that's why I just I turn my stuff off when I'm doing office work because I don't need the interruption.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: It'll go voicemail, or if it's someone that's coming in important, then I'll catch it.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: Like I'm waiting for a big bid to yes or no, those types of things.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: But yeah, you don't want to you want to be able to, I know that there's a new app I saw that teaches history.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: I I don't remember how much it is there to replace scrolling.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: Like you really shouldn't be doing those things, all of these other things, these other projects need assistance first.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: And I know that sounds really strict, but if you really want to get from point A to point B, you're gonna have to figure out like how much time do I spend on social media.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: Um it's a lot of discipline.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Scrolling can take scrolling is such a time suck.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: I watched and I did not realize I was stuck in that for a good probably year.
- 16:03SPEAKER_02: I knew everything about everyone, and it's because I was scrolling and I I I was learning the industry more, so I you know, but that took a lot of my time, and it was it's I won't say it was wasted time because I made a lot of I met a lot of valuable people that are valuable for me and my company, and it's almost networking from afar, but then you get sometimes y'all get sideswiped and get it caught on to the drama, and I just want to make my point across, and it's like, why am I waste why am I wasting my time on this?
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, yeah, it it sucked a lot of time up on me.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: And and you and you really don't need it.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: We we got along just fine before we had cell phones and social media.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: It it I see it a lot when we go out to dinner, there the whole family's there, and there are eight people and there's eight phones.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: No one is talking at all.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: I've been at the swimming pool with teenagers this summer, and I was there for four and a half hours while my kids at the swimming pool.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: And two teenagers the entire time were on their phone just scrolling on social media.
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: Four and a half hours at once.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: I was like, oh my god, where are your parents?
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: They it's just you know, it's it's a it's just and then I can imagine how overstimulated you are from all of the dopamine.
- 17:31SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's it's gotta be a constant thing.
- 17:33SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, yeah, because it's just crashing, right?
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, going for a walk to think is huge.
- 17:40SPEAKER_02: I just started doing that.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: I you guys probably you've heard me all talk about how I began in Starbucks.
- 17:49SPEAKER_02: I will say that I have been Starbucks free since June 22nd of this year.
- 17:57SPEAKER_02: Yay! A lot of America, uh yeah, it was 15,000 in one year.
- 18:07SPEAKER_02: But I wasn't just buying for myself, it's it don't matter.
- 18:10SPEAKER_02: That's a lot.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: That's a that's a new car.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: That's a new car.
- 18:16SPEAKER_02: Like, what am I doing?
- 18:18SPEAKER_02: Uh and not only that, uh how unhealthy it was for me.
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: I just now drink my coffee here or my water, but going for a walk to clear your mind, just since I've done that, I'm probably lost, I don't know, I think 15 pounds since then.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: And walking is really good for you.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: The shower guides deliver usually when I'm walking.
- 18:42SPEAKER_02: It feels so good, and it's like I'm able to actually do this.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: I was not walking like this at all.
- 18:50SPEAKER_02: And I the the motivation is there to be able to spend with my son because he's like, I'm gonna go for a walk, and I'm like, let's do it.
- 18:59SPEAKER_02: I would blame my knees because I do have knee problems, but I'm able to do longer and longer.
- 19:07SPEAKER_02: So that is that's that.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Go for a walk.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: So there's a lot of consistency things that we have changed, like the podcast used to be one time a week, and then we increased it to two times a week for a total of what is it, 134 episodes a year.
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: And so and none of these felt exciting while we were doing it, but then we can see the the end result with the podcast.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's 220, I want to say 25 or 26 episodes.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: So we actually have a whole library for you to peruse at your convenience, it's absolutely free.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: And we learned that consistency is key.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: So that's why, and you can follow the podcast circuit, right?
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: Because another podcast person who we will not name does production.
- 19:58SPEAKER_00: I believe she does Tuesdays and Saturdays, correct?
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: Or maybe Tuesdays.
- 20:03SPEAKER_02: Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: There's another person that comes out on Mondays and I believe Fridays.
- 20:09SPEAKER_02: There's so many.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's so you can every day you get your podcast.
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, your podcast schedule.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Tuesdays and Saturdays, you know, it's it's it's it's an awesome thing to kind of watch.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 20:20SPEAKER_02: But listen, you guys, there are golden nuggets inside of these podcasts.
- 20:26SPEAKER_02: Don't sit on it.
- 20:28SPEAKER_02: You hear something that you implement it.
- 20:32SPEAKER_02: And what I mean by implementing it, write it down.
- 20:35SPEAKER_02: Do something with that knowledge, don't let it just sit there and not go anywhere.
- 20:41SPEAKER_02: I did that for a long time.
- 20:43SPEAKER_02: Like, I got all this knowledge from all the YouTubes, and but implementing it, I was just like didn't know what to do with it.
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: It's now it's all over the place.
- 20:54SPEAKER_02: I we got stuff everywhere.
- 20:57SPEAKER_02: It's just everywhere.
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: And and I'm okay with that.
- 21:01SPEAKER_02: I'm okay because I can I know where it's going, you know.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: And if you're still out working as a cleaner, you can buy the really thick notepads if you're a pen and paper person, or if you have a smartphone, open your notes and you can actually voice it into a note so that you remember later.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: Because by the time you get around and do a kid pickup and dinner and everything else, sometimes you'll forget.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: So I agree with Jamie.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: Implementing is is the game for sure.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: Planning.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: This is probably the hardest thing to conceptualize when you're new to any building any business other than the cleaning business, because you don't know where you're going, you don't know how you're gonna get there.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: You've watched 5,000 videos, or some of you I know I've known for six years who've DIY'd the entire existence, um, which is fine.
- 21:46SPEAKER_00: But you have to be able to plan to get to point A to point B, all the way down to Z.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: So if you're not putting any planning ahead, like we're I'm for example, I'm already starting to write next year's schedule for the podcast.
- 21:59SPEAKER_00: It's August, right?
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: I'm getting ready to release the scholarship for the structure, scale, and profit cleaning business academy.
- 22:05SPEAKER_00: We're doing that this month in August.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: So it just depends, you know, these all take planning.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of steps behind the scenes that you don't see, like the email sequence.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: There are, you know, the 52 emails after you sign up for the on the funnel, and then the video thing, and then this other thing, right?
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: So, and then budgeting, you you need to have a budget because if you don't, you will you will short yourself.
- 22:29SPEAKER_00: You will you'll spend all this money not realizing you spent all this money, and you're like, well, where'd all the money go?
- 22:34SPEAKER_00: Well, I spent it here, I did this here.
- 22:38SPEAKER_02: Tracking, tracking it is huge.
- 22:43SPEAKER_02: Oh, I like this one.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: Reworking the ideas, reworking an idea.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: If it does, if if it's working, don't let it let it flow.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 22:56SPEAKER_02: But if it's not working, find the puzzle piece that will make it work.
- 23:03SPEAKER_02: And there is a puzzle piece out there.
- 23:05SPEAKER_02: I I guarantee you, every place that you're stuck right now, 20 other cleaning business companies that are in the five to ten million dollar range was there at one point in time.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: I yep, I guarantee it.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: And then it's okay to change your mind.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: Sometimes I come up With a brilliant idea, and then after implementing it, I'm like, this sucks.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: Looking at like what was I thinking?
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: And then I all ask people, I'm like, so whose idea was this?
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: And like yours, and like this really sucked.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: Why didn't you guys say anything to me?
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: Well, you know, blah blah blah.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: So you you know, you can change your mind and it's okay.
- 23:43SPEAKER_02: Editing, mm-hmm, solving problems before they come become brick problems.
- 23:48SPEAKER_02: That's a good that is where a system making a system i i is very important.
- 23:59SPEAKER_02: And again, you guys hear us talking all the time about uh placing systems in place, and that is just that it's an instruction for the next person, so it's not just up here, because then everybody's gonna come to you, all your employees are gonna come to you.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: How do we do this?
- 24:17SPEAKER_02: How do we do that?
- 24:18SPEAKER_02: What do we do?
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: You you you have to and that's editing too.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: You're editing it's a vicious cycle, and you can and sometimes we don't really solve a problem until it becomes big, unfortunately.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: You make a big blunder financially or emotionally, and then you're like, okay, policy change.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: And that's too.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: Just make sure that you get it out of your head into an SOP so that you don't have to keep answering the same questions.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: And then there's late night ideas.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: I used to keep a journal by my bed.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: I'd actually, well, I have puppy things going on right now, but I think keeping a pad of paper and a pen, it doesn't have to be anything sophisticated just in case you come up with a brilliant idea.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you have very vivid dreams.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: If you're not a dreamer, I'm really sorry.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: I have very vivid, detailed dreams all over the time.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: Probably, and I have to dump them in and catalog them.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: I mean, I have a lot of very vivid dreams.
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: People are like, wow.
- 25:17SPEAKER_02: Well, I we I I've actually bought a planner.
- 25:20SPEAKER_02: It's it's kind of goes with the secret.
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: If you know what the secret is, it's that basically you can manifest your future, and it has all these goal settings and like all these inserts.
- 25:33SPEAKER_02: And there's also, you guys, people out there in the cleaning business industry that make journals for cleaning business owners.
- 25:44SPEAKER_02: I think I believe her, I believe her name is Kathy Merchant.
- 25:47SPEAKER_02: She's working on something I've always thought was interesting.
- 25:52SPEAKER_02: Holly and Laura over on the Hustle Podcast.
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: The hustle podcast.
- 26:03SPEAKER_02: She Holly does a lot of journaling, and I believe she sells them or something like that.
- 26:08SPEAKER_02: So there's things out there for all of us to utilize.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: And then there are whiteboard sessions.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: I have learned to have three, only because I have littles, and usually it's an involved process when I start to I whip out the whiteboards.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: I also have a really big calendar.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: Um, it's probably, I want to say six feet across, and that has the whole year.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: So I can plan vacations and launches and podcast episodes.
- 26:39SPEAKER_00: It's it's we're getting towards the last part, the last quarter of the year.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: So you have to link that.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: You'll have to link that.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: I would love that opening.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: You just stick it to the wall and you just and it's you can reuse it.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: I bought the one that you can reuse over and over again.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: You just the hardest part and the most tedious part is to put the numbers, you know.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, of course.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: But um, I have a big calendar, and the whiteboard sessions are usually when I'm trying to work through something that I when if I have free time by myself.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: It's just not very rare when you have two littles.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: But it's uh the reason why we have three is because they like to participate in the whiteboard thing.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: So they'll come up with ideas as I'm coming up with ideas.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: And every once in a while, the universe will throw me a bone and I'm like, that is brilliant.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because they're involved, your kids are involved in your process, whether you realize it or not.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: They they see you write, they see you scribble, they see you ponder, they see you on the phone, they see you on the computer.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: And then their observation, they're just looking at like spending more time with you.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: They're like, Well, if my mom could do this, then she'll spend more time with me.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: And it's sometimes the ideas are brilliant.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, you just never know.
- 27:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so a lot of our our that's a very the whiteboard is an absolute must for me to surround myself around whiteboards.
- 27:57SPEAKER_02: Uh it it's goal setting, and just like with the secret, if you can envision it, you have to be able to envision it in order for it to start working.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: So you ever heard of Abram Hicks?
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: Is that who wrote The Secret or not?
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: No, they didn't Abram Hicks did not read The Secret, but the the manifestation that you're talking about is 17 seconds or 64 seconds.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: So they came up with the actual concept.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: I don't know if that was their original concept or if they took the idea and ran with it.
- 28:30SPEAKER_00: But um, Abram Hicks was, I want to say, new age guru in the 70s who created this thing that you can create mantras.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: And if you focus on your visualization for 17 seconds minimum, and 17 seconds can be a long time when you're focusing until your brain gets you, you have to use the muscle.
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: And then I believe, and I could be wrong, it's like 64 seconds is all it takes to actually manifest something into your world.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: I believe I talk about it in manifest anything you want course.
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: It's free on my website.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: You can check it out.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: I believe I mentioned it.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: If I didn't, let me know and I'll put in a segment for it.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: But I love that reminded of that.
- 29:09SPEAKER_00: And then there's a lot of conversations that never make it to social media.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: I mean, Jamie and I talk about all kinds of things, it's all over the place.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: We go over here, then we come over here, then we go over there, and then we're like over here.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: So there's a lot of conversations that never make it to social media, and I think that not everything needs to be on social media.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: And this is just my opinion.
- 29:32SPEAKER_00: You could tell me to stick it where the sun doesn't shine.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: I don't believe in sharing all of the details about everything.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: I think that there should be a certain amount of decorum on your real life, your personal life versus what you show on social media.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: And I've always felt that way.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: And you might feel different, and that's okay.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: I'm not trying to criticize that.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: I just think that the private conversations that you have with other people who are mentoring you should always stay air quotes private and not thrown out to the wind, look what she said to me, and now because I'm mad at her.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: So those I want to not make sure that you guys are not participating in those types of activities because I don't think it's good for anyone.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: No, I most business ownership happens inside of your head.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: Jamie has learned all about that.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: Why don't you tell everyone what that's been like for you?
- 30:20SPEAKER_00: And you can show your your binders.
- 30:23SPEAKER_02: So like anybody, I never we've never ran businesses.
- 30:29SPEAKER_02: And if you're following along, you know that I that I can't start it with the mop in a bucket, and everything lived inside of my head.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: I know that I knew that I wanted to hire.
- 30:42SPEAKER_02: But what it what did it look like for whenever, you know, if somebody got hauled and got sick or something like you know, it was just it just lived here and I was just dealing with it as things came up instead of actually documenting it.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: So I have started a bunch of different my above all operations in my SOPs binder.
- 31:10SPEAKER_02: Um we have sales and clients.
- 31:16SPEAKER_00: Should definitely have a sales binder, definitely.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: The above all cleaning academy, and this is for actual that's the training for my employees, our growth engine, and what that looks like.
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: My CEO binder, and then over here we have we have finance, company records, HR and hiring.
- 31:54SPEAKER_02: Those are just the start of them.
- 31:56SPEAKER_02: I believe that's it right now, and I'm slowly filling them up.
- 32:02SPEAKER_02: I finally learned how you know, whenever I first started this, you guys didn't even know how to make a PDF.
- 32:08SPEAKER_02: Like, I don't even what is that?
- 32:11SPEAKER_02: So now I make PDFs and I I I know how to put things together that is just so it's a lot of learning.
- 32:21SPEAKER_02: Like I've learned marketing, I've learned what a client facing what it looks like for a client's perspective, and what that looks like, what my sales process looks like, and maybe one day I will be able to be able to delegate that off.
- 32:44SPEAKER_02: Those things lived inside of my head, and to get them out was really hard.
- 32:51SPEAKER_02: So I started instead of you know making this perfect world, I started brain dumping.
- 33:01SPEAKER_02: I started brain dumping.
- 33:03SPEAKER_02: There's a brain dump, you guys, right?
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: Then I'll structure it and put it over into an actual to-do list.
- 33:12SPEAKER_02: And if for those that you can't see, I have a whole brain dump, it's just a pad of paper.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: I'm just dumping all things that I need to do on there, and then I structure it as a checklist, and then I literally will check it off as I go along.
- 33:30SPEAKER_02: I've broke it down from weekly to over to from monthly over to weekly, and then I start tracking all of that so and we're tracking from the past to learn from our mistakes so that we can go forward in our future.
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: Definitely.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: And you have to think too, why why consistency is so hard.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of reasons why consistency is hard.
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: Like I said earlier, I think conceptualizing how to get I mentioned someone had wanted me to reverse engineer what my concept was.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I don't even know how I don't even know what my concept is.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: How can I reverse engineer it?
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: And it's it's the baby steps in the morning.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: It's the getting up a little bit earlier while I'm by myself, or maybe after dinner and you've done the dishes, you're spending five or ten minutes just gathering your thoughts and and brain dumping on a pad of paper.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: And maybe you don't do anything with that pad of paper, but you carry the pad of paper around in your briefcase.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: And then you're like, okay, well, I have all of these things, and you you snap photos of them, you upload them into Chat GPT and say, help me how to show me how to get from A to B with off these photos, and it will spit it right out for you.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: It's amazing.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: You don't have to do things the hard way anymore.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: There are there's tools, as the same thing that can get you where you need to go without having to like when I used to write ad copy, oh my it was like pulling teeth.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: It was so painful.
- 35:04SPEAKER_02: Well, you guys, right now I'm knee deep in transitioning from one bank to another.
- 35:15SPEAKER_02: I had no idea that I had that many recurring payments and I'm having to change it.
- 35:21SPEAKER_02: It's very, very tedious, tiring.
- 35:26SPEAKER_02: But at the end of the day, six months from now, I know that we are going to be in such a great position that it eventually works.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: And when you finally do it, you're like, Yes, yes, just like ad copy.
- 35:40SPEAKER_02: Yes, I did it, you know.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: So yeah, nobody gets excited about doing the same thing over and over again.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: It's just like, uh it's it's not fun.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: So then the results get delayed, or it's easy to quit because nothing seems to be happening.
- 35:56SPEAKER_00: And Jamie has said it's six months from now, she's gonna be in a great spot.
- 36:01SPEAKER_02: It it looks messy right now.
- 36:03SPEAKER_02: I'm definitely in the messy part of it.
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: I know this.
- 36:06SPEAKER_02: It took me a long time to understand that, but yeah, it it's small steps, and it's just not something that you wake up one day and like, yes, I made it.
- 36:20SPEAKER_02: It's like a click of the button.
- 36:22SPEAKER_02: It it does not happen like that.
- 36:23SPEAKER_00: It's I wish it's very subtle.
- 36:27SPEAKER_02: Right, I wish, you know, and I see it a lot on social media.
- 36:32SPEAKER_02: Like, you you don't see the messy middle.
- 36:35SPEAKER_02: Nobody really documents that part of it.
- 36:38SPEAKER_02: And I really wanted to try to do something different.
- 36:41SPEAKER_02: I even helped asked Sarah, let's do a playbook of the messy middle.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: I think that's gonna be awesome.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: So there's a lot of things that are going on.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: As I just mentioned, the scholarship application process is gonna start here pretty soon in the month of August instead of a little bit later.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: We decided to launch it a little bit earlier this year versus last year.
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: What I'm looking for is you'll have to submit a 30-second video to tell me and my team, the approval team is what we labeled it, why you want to be selected as the winner of the scholarship.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: And you also have to tell me a really good story as to why.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: If you and I'm gonna do a short little video intro cities, because I don't think people spent as much time as they could have to articulate what they wanted from the program.
- 37:32SPEAKER_00: And I believe that what was it, 300 and I want to say 381 people applied.
- 37:39SPEAKER_00: So I'm super excited about that.
- 37:41SPEAKER_00: We have I have kids going back to school, Jamie has kids going back to school, then there's new school adjustments.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: That's been interesting this year because I have one in middle school and one in elementary school, and then the school that I picked didn't quite work out.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: So there was a lot of shifting that happened at the last minute, and then you know, building multiple businesses at once.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: Jamie has above all naturals, she also has the cleaning company, she's working on these other things that she's got going on.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: There's there's a lot of behind the scenes that you guys never see, you just mostly see our smiley faces, right?
- 38:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're sat there for have magically now, a lot of stuff going on.
- 38:19SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 38:19SPEAKER_00: Trying to stay healthy.
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: She's walking now.
- 38:22SPEAKER_00: I walk on average four miles a day if I have time, seven days a week.
- 38:27SPEAKER_00: I have found that it has really trimmed down.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: I would love to run like Forrest Gump again, but I don't know if I'll ever run like Forrest Gump because my knees are are painful.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: It's not, you know, I don't think that's a good thing for so we're just gonna, you know, record while life is happening.
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we are.
- 38:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we are, and we're taking you guys along with us.
- 38:48SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
- 38:49SPEAKER_00: So don't wait until life is calm.
- 38:54SPEAKER_00: If you did, nothing would get built.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: It's there's never gonna be a perfect time.
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: Dip your toe in the water, splash around, see if it's gonna be.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: Can I say something?
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: Sure.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: That structure the structure scale profit cleaning academy was my stepping stone to get here now.
- 39:13SPEAKER_02: I just want to throw that out there.
- 39:16SPEAKER_02: Shannon put a lot of time and sh none of this would have happened had I not taken that course.
- 39:24SPEAKER_02: And not only did I take the course, but I was like, wait a minute, I didn't get it good enough the first time.
- 39:30SPEAKER_02: Yeah, let me do this.
- 39:33SPEAKER_02: Let me figure this out.
- 39:35SPEAKER_02: Hold on, hold on.
- 39:37SPEAKER_02: So I just wanted to throw that out there.
- 39:40SPEAKER_02: So whenever she says that she's doing a scholarship, that it is very dear to my heart.
- 39:47SPEAKER_02: And I really hope that you guys put these videos together and tell her your why.
- 39:54SPEAKER_02: Not only that, I think Shannon learned a lot from okay, this is what they were looking to learn from this group or from this course.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: I just wanted to share that that that was the beginning of all of this.
- 40:09SPEAKER_02: So the beginning of the March to a million was from Structure Scale Profit Cleaning Academy.
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: I think like 600 businesses have gone through the program.
- 40:18SPEAKER_00: And it's it's a lot longer than it used to be.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: It used to be a 12-week program.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: Now it's a six-month program.
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: So, because there's a lot of information.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: And as we were just talking with someone else, there is a lot of information.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: And if you get too much information at once, it's overwhelming.
- 40:32SPEAKER_00: So it's segmented into weekly releases.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: And then there's some.
- 40:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, do you need to get that?
- 40:40SPEAKER_02: No, they're walking by.
- 40:42SPEAKER_02: Gotcha.
- 40:42SPEAKER_02: They're walking by my office.
- 40:44SPEAKER_02: Sorry, guys.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: You're totally fine.
- 40:46SPEAKER_02: I literally have a sign that says, Do not disturb recording in live.
- 40:53SPEAKER_00: That's when they can't be knock on the door.
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: La la la la la la la.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: I see you in there.
- 40:57SPEAKER_02: Those other businesses here.
- 40:58SPEAKER_00: And then here's some questions to think about.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Are successful people better at boring?
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: Or are they better at ex are are they exciting because they they do more?
- 41:08SPEAKER_00: I mean, it how what makes successful people better?
- 41:13SPEAKER_00: Is it because they're boring and you think they're boring, or is it their success?
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of answers to that question.
- 41:20SPEAKER_00: And that's just something to kind of like, well, you know, like for example, what habits pay off the most?
- 41:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I you know, I feel like right now, I was trying to explain this to my husband, and he don't know.
- 41:33SPEAKER_02: He don't get it, you know, and he don't have that entrepreneur mindset, right?
- 41:39SPEAKER_02: And only other entrepreneurs will get this, especially in the cleaning industry.
- 41:43SPEAKER_02: But I was trying to tell him, I was like, I right now am in the middle of, I feel like I'm gambling.
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: And not just like I'm gambling at life.
- 41:53SPEAKER_02: And he was like, why?
- 41:57SPEAKER_02: It's like because I am like literally putting in some sp stuff right now in my business, and I'm like, it's the roll of the dice, and you're hoping for them double double sixes right now.
- 42:11SPEAKER_00: Definitely.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: What's one small decision you've made recently in the future that will you will appreciate?
- 42:21SPEAKER_00: I I can see where that is applicable to me, but I know that you've made several.
- 42:29SPEAKER_00: I don't even know if they're small decisions, they're probably more bigger decisions.
- 42:33SPEAKER_00: This when you took on the other two coaches, I would think.
- 42:37SPEAKER_02: Well, yeah, but that that I at first I thought, what this isn't I'm not getting anywhere.
- 42:45SPEAKER_02: I think I even maybe came to you and said, I don't know if this is working out.
- 42:51SPEAKER_02: And Erica literally told me, and Erica i is with my virtual bookkeeper.
- 42:58SPEAKER_02: She was just my bookkeeper, and then I hired her as a financial coach.
- 43:03SPEAKER_02: She's kind of like a CFO, she maps things out.
- 43:08SPEAKER_02: Well, we're doing a huge transition, but what it what I look back now at was I wasn't ready for this transition a couple of months ago, and she could see that, but I couldn't.
- 43:22SPEAKER_02: She knew that I needed to make some smaller habits before we just jumped over and and did what we're doing.
- 43:32SPEAKER_02: We're a huge undertaking right now.
- 43:35SPEAKER_02: I'm like seriously knee deep.
- 43:37SPEAKER_02: So the same with Cheryl.
- 43:40SPEAKER_02: We leadership that uh learning how to do leadership and managing like a whole team, hiring, hiring's always going to be our number one thing with it.
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: It's always going to be, especially in the beginning, I believe it's a lot, it's really uncomfortable.
- 44:10SPEAKER_02: Because you don't really know what you're doing at first.
- 44:13SPEAKER_02: And then the more times you're like, okay, I'm kind of getting I'm I'm knowing what I want to hire for and stuff like that.
- 44:21SPEAKER_02: So these are just it was again small little decisions that now we're like knee deep into huge shifts.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: Like I said, I it's it really does come down to the preparation.
- 44:38SPEAKER_00: There was a lot of preparation that was involved before you did what you did.
- 44:41SPEAKER_00: And we I feel like I went through it with you because we we both took a deep breath.
- 44:45SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I don't know, I don't know.
- 44:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, Shannon tried to stay as as neutral as possible because we're all friends with these people, right?
- 44:55SPEAKER_02: And I was just like, you know, why don't you just second guess?
- 45:01SPEAKER_02: Like, is this is this working?
- 45:03SPEAKER_02: Are you sure?
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: And then I think you start to see at the end, you're like, I'm just gonna go.
- 45:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's like, oh, the light bulb went off on me.
- 45:12SPEAKER_02: It just takes a I don't know, something clicked with me.
- 45:18SPEAKER_02: Just kind of like I had to do structure scale for profit.
- 45:24SPEAKER_02: Twice to like it finally clicked.
- 45:27SPEAKER_02: Um maybe it takes me a little bit longer.
- 45:31SPEAKER_02: Some people just can zoom right through, and it's like I look at Angie, we're right like toe in toe, because we started together at this at the same time.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: For those of you who don't know and you want to hear that interview, she's in the podcast as well.
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: It's Anne Angie.
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: Yes, Zweener.
- 45:50SPEAKER_02: Zweener.
- 45:52SPEAKER_00: Her last name.
- 45:53SPEAKER_00: Zweiner with the Z.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: That's right.
- 45:55SPEAKER_00: There we go.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: She's right now.
- 45:58SPEAKER_00: And Angie's local to me in my own neck of the woods.
- 46:01SPEAKER_00: She is a student and indirectly competes with me.
- 46:04SPEAKER_00: I don't think I don't want to say competition because it's all about collaboration.
- 46:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 46:08SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: And they are together like that.
- 46:11SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 46:12SPEAKER_02: And we kind of did this together, but it's just, you know, I I look at her and it's like me and her talk like, can you believe we're doing that?
- 46:21SPEAKER_02: Like it's so it how it manifested to what it is from what it was to what it is and where it's going.
- 46:33SPEAKER_02: I I'm so thankful to have you along this right, Shannon.
- 46:40SPEAKER_02: But yeah, momentum really just it really is just consistency over a very long period of time.
- 46:47SPEAKER_02: Actually, I haven't even been in business, you guys, for five years yet.
- 46:51SPEAKER_02: And here I am already talking about my March to a million.
- 46:57SPEAKER_02: I know that they're I know that I can do this with a lot of dedication.
- 47:02SPEAKER_02: I know that there's some people already in my area that are already doing a million, they're cleaning business a million above.
- 47:10SPEAKER_02: And mind you, I live in a town that's only 15,000 people.
- 47:14SPEAKER_02: Let that let that sink in.
- 47:17SPEAKER_02: The big city of Eureka is 20,000 people.
- 47:21SPEAKER_02: So you just let that sink in before you say my town is too small, honey.
- 47:26SPEAKER_02: I promise you.
- 47:28SPEAKER_02: I live rural, but it's possible.
- 47:31SPEAKER_02: It's possible.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: So we're just rarely explode overnight.
- 47:38SPEAKER_00: It does, there's a lot of effort and consistency.
- 47:40SPEAKER_00: They grow because someone kept making good decisions long after they stopped being exciting.
- 47:46SPEAKER_00: Sometimes the boring decisions are the most important ones.
- 47:49SPEAKER_00: Little things that don't feel important today, but eventually become the story everyone notices.
- 47:54SPEAKER_00: And then people will start to reach out to you, as Jamie is having like, I want to have coffee.
- 47:59SPEAKER_00: I heard you on the podcast, I want to do this, I want to have lunch or whatever.
- 48:03SPEAKER_00: And I think that that's important to share the knowledge, collaboration over competition.
- 48:07SPEAKER_00: I'm really big into it.
- 48:09SPEAKER_00: And you can follow along as we document this journey in real time.
