- 0:02Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 0:05Speaker 2: How are we doing today, folks? We've got our.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Friends in from Truity Credit Union today, and boy, I'm
- 0:11Speaker 1: nice and crisp and cool.
- 0:12Speaker 2: But keep you learning. How doesn't a young lady it?
- 0:15Speaker 3: Sure?
- 0:16Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, what do we talk about today as
- 0:18Speaker 1: far as Truity Credit Union, because you've got a million
- 0:20Speaker 1: great things to discuss, we do, and.
- 0:23Speaker 4: Nichole's really going to kind of lead us off and
- 0:24Speaker 4: talk about International Credit Union Day.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Alrighty go boy kido.
- 0:28Speaker 5: Well, we're so excited because this week is International Credit
- 0:31Speaker 5: Union Well we call it week because we make it
- 0:33Speaker 5: a spirit week at the credit Union. So yeah, yesterday
- 0:37Speaker 5: we kicked off with our Logo Ware Day, so everyone
- 0:40Speaker 5: was wearing all of their logo wear and they got
- 0:43Speaker 5: to get some prizes and things like that. And on
- 0:48Speaker 5: Thursday is actually International Credit Union Day, and so that's
- 0:52Speaker 5: where we get to go and think our members in
- 0:55Speaker 5: our community. So we're going to have some fun things
- 0:57Speaker 5: going on at the branches.
- 0:59Speaker 3: We have some cookie from.
- 1:00Speaker 5: The eatery, We're gonna have popcorn, we have some really
- 1:04Speaker 5: cool balloon arches, and we'll have a photo booth for
- 1:06Speaker 5: that for members. But what's really cool is we have
- 1:09Speaker 5: some random acts of kindness things that we're doing, so
- 1:12Speaker 5: going around in the community, helping purchase gas and groceries.
- 1:16Speaker 5: We've gotten gift cards that our member consultants and our
- 1:19Speaker 5: tellers can hand out to the members just randomly at
- 1:21Speaker 5: the drive throughs and in our lobbies.
- 1:25Speaker 2: We can we thank you.
- 1:27Speaker 1: I want to say thank you because you've been taking
- 1:30Speaker 1: good care of me for years, so I want to
- 1:32Speaker 1: take my credit union.
- 1:33Speaker 3: No and we're so happy to do that. You know.
- 1:35Speaker 4: One of the purposes of International Credit Union Day is
- 1:39Speaker 4: just for credit unions all over the world, obviously, to
- 1:43Speaker 4: stop and recognize that we are different. We're cooperatives, we
- 1:47Speaker 4: have member owners, and we just want to celebrate.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Those people that choose to do business with us and.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Choose to invest in the credit union movement so that
- 1:55Speaker 4: we can continue helping people that not only those that
- 1:59Speaker 4: can walk to any financial institution and do the business
- 2:03Speaker 4: they need to do, but maybe those that are under banked,
- 2:05Speaker 4: those that maybe always aren't served as well as others,
- 2:08Speaker 4: or don't have access to financial products. It's just a
- 2:11Speaker 4: chance for us to stop and really talk about why
- 2:14Speaker 4: we're different and how we can benefit the community around us.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Now, Miss Freeman, when we talk about Credit Union, you
- 2:21Speaker 1: mentioned we are member on and that means that you
- 2:24Speaker 1: don't have to worry about what's going on on Wall Street,
- 2:26Speaker 1: you don't have to worry about what's going on at
- 2:29Speaker 1: corporate headquarters.
- 2:30Speaker 2: It's all right here, it is.
- 2:32Speaker 4: And now our members are all over right, So we're
- 2:35Speaker 4: seventy three member seventy three thousand members strong all over
- 2:40Speaker 4: the world, but all of them have an equal share
- 2:44Speaker 4: in the company, if you will. So we don't have
- 2:47Speaker 4: stockholders that we're trying to earn money and pay back.
- 2:50Speaker 4: We're just taking that money and putting it back into
- 2:52Speaker 4: our products and services and technology so that our members
- 2:56Speaker 4: can have the best possible banking experience.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Well, Nicole, you guys are setting up a pretty good
- 3:01Speaker 1: experience here for everyone with the big party.
- 3:04Speaker 2: But the real party.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Is is that you're satisfied with the product that you're
- 3:10Speaker 1: getting and you get to really know the people with
- 3:13Speaker 1: whom you're working with. It's a really nice relationship that
- 3:19Speaker 1: is formed with the Truity Credit Union.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Yes, and speaking about relationships today, we're actually participating in
- 3:25Speaker 5: the United Days of caring and so we're at Sooner
- 3:28Speaker 5: Junior Mini Golf this morning. Our first group was pulling
- 3:32Speaker 5: post and painting, and then we have an afternoon shift
- 3:35Speaker 5: going as well.
- 3:37Speaker 1: See, this is what I tell everybody. If you want
- 3:39Speaker 1: to meet somebody from Truity Credit Union, you can either
- 3:43Speaker 1: go buy the facility or just walk around the community
- 3:46Speaker 1: because you're going to run into somebody from Truity and
- 3:49Speaker 1: it fits out there serving the community or just going
- 3:52Speaker 1: to your kid's events or what have you. Truity just
- 3:56Speaker 1: seems to be everywhere the action is and sometimes where
- 3:58Speaker 1: there's no action at all, but.
- 4:01Speaker 2: They just they just happen to be your neighbors.
- 4:04Speaker 1: But the community involvement is a big thing with your culture.
- 4:10Speaker 4: There it is, and it's not just obviously here in
- 4:13Speaker 4: Bartlesville we do so much, but we also are doing
- 4:16Speaker 4: it in all of our markets. So it was interesting
- 4:20Speaker 4: just last Saturday. So Nicole obviously is our bits on
- 4:23Speaker 4: the ground here in Bartlesville. We have one in Aletha
- 4:26Speaker 4: and then someone else in Lawrence, Kansas, and all three
- 4:29Speaker 4: of them were at different five k's working or different races,
- 4:32Speaker 4: working for different causes and trying to make sure that
- 4:36Speaker 4: we were there supporting the people. So we did the
- 4:38Speaker 4: brewin eight k here in Bartlesville, we supported a breast
- 4:42Speaker 4: cancer walk in Lawrence, Kansas. And then a family that
- 4:47Speaker 4: supports low income children in Oleitha and so but it
- 4:51Speaker 4: was great that we kind of had teams everywhere supporting
- 4:55Speaker 4: all kinds of different things that make our community stronger.
- 4:58Speaker 2: So no two days are alike at work, are they Nicole,
- 5:01Speaker 2: They're not.
- 5:01Speaker 5: Yeah, it's always something different, and I love it.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Oh man, that is great.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Now at the Truity Credit Union, we're local, and of
- 5:10Speaker 1: course we got the two great big facilities. We've got
- 5:13Speaker 1: the beautiful one that just seems like it's got to
- 5:17Speaker 1: remodel a little bit down there in the South Washington Boulevard.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Of course downtown you go visit the mural and of
- 5:23Speaker 1: your brands and your money all right there one place.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And then of course we've got the offices in Kansas
- 5:31Speaker 1: as well. But the thing is is that Truity is
- 5:35Speaker 1: accessible with all of your different devices. You can do
- 5:39Speaker 1: online with your phone, with your computer, and if you
- 5:43Speaker 1: guys are just everywhere, you'll be on the moon for
- 5:45Speaker 1: too long.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:47Speaker 5: Well, actually we are opening an ITM and Dewey across
- 5:52Speaker 5: from Sonic, So it should be done by the end
- 5:54Speaker 5: of the year, and anybody can. They can make deposits,
- 5:58Speaker 5: they can deposit a check, cash, they can withdraw cash
- 6:02Speaker 5: and any denominations, and they can speak with a live teller.
- 6:06Speaker 5: So anything they can do at our branch, they can
- 6:08Speaker 5: do at an ITM.
- 6:09Speaker 1: So now this is different than an ATM. This is
- 6:12Speaker 1: an IM and the first one I've ever seen was
- 6:15Speaker 1: the one that you have out there in the Washington though.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Now tell us what this is.
- 6:20Speaker 5: So it's an interactive teller machine. Yes, so they can
- 6:24Speaker 5: talk to a live person, they can do loan payments,
- 6:27Speaker 5: they can do transfers with their account, and they can
- 6:31Speaker 5: deposit cash or check.
- 6:32Speaker 3: And so we're going.
- 6:33Speaker 5: To really be able to serve our Dewey community and
- 6:36Speaker 5: then those just passing through.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Yeah, we've really I'll say, up our game. We've uped
- 6:42Speaker 3: our game. I was gonna sell you that we just
- 6:45Speaker 3: we want to make.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Sure that the people of Dewey, you know, know that
- 6:48Speaker 4: they're loved and appreciated and that we want to serve
- 6:51Speaker 4: them as well. So over the last four or five years, Nicole,
- 6:54Speaker 4: who's a Dewey graduate and lives there. Has really worked
- 6:58Speaker 4: to advance our relationships. We partner with the school district
- 7:01Speaker 4: to there so anyone who has who works for the
- 7:04Speaker 4: school district or has a child in the Dewey School
- 7:07Speaker 4: district is eligible to join our credit union. Then we
- 7:11Speaker 4: added a Bulldog or card, so our Spirit Card program nice,
- 7:14Speaker 4: we have a Dewey card that gives money back to
- 7:16Speaker 4: that school district. And now we're putting in this ITM
- 7:20Speaker 4: machine that will be easily accessible to anybody not just
- 7:24Speaker 4: who lives in Dewey, but also anybody that's kind of
- 7:26Speaker 4: traversing Highway seventy five there coming in from.
- 7:29Speaker 3: The north part of town. So we're really glad to kind.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Of bring that into the fold and expand our relationship there.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You know what, the school is going to really appreciate
- 7:38Speaker 1: this because I've seen this, because I've covered the Partumsfield
- 7:42Speaker 1: Public Schools Board meeting before where Sarah's come in with
- 7:46Speaker 1: the big check, big cardboard check and it's got a
- 7:49Speaker 1: lot of numbers on it, and the Dewey Schools are
- 7:54Speaker 1: going to get probably one of those before too long too.
- 7:56Speaker 2: And this is really great.
- 7:57Speaker 1: How you work with the schools, with the communities and
- 8:01Speaker 1: really make things a better place for everybody.
- 8:03Speaker 2: It's going to be a good thing.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Yes, it is, you know, I know she's so sweet.
- 8:11Speaker 4: Nicole had like I said, has worked really hard on
- 8:13Speaker 4: that dewy relationship and made sure that we're there and
- 8:17Speaker 4: involved in as many things as we possibly can. And
- 8:20Speaker 4: then now we also have kind of our new community
- 8:22Speaker 4: ambassadors over in Pehusca. Andrew and Dara Harris that both
- 8:26Speaker 4: work for us live in Pahusca now and he's serving
- 8:29Speaker 4: on the school board over there, so we have really
- 8:32Speaker 4: started doing more over there. We've included their school district
- 8:36Speaker 4: and are supporting their football team with a new tunnel
- 8:40Speaker 4: and doing quite a few different things to try and
- 8:42Speaker 4: make sure that Pahuska also has access to the banking
- 8:45Speaker 4: solutions that they deserve.
- 8:47Speaker 1: And remember it's a National Credit Union Week. Here were
- 8:52Speaker 1: celebrating week, not just one day week.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Well, you know, here's the thing I watch my kids
- 8:57Speaker 4: do Spirit Week and Homecoming Week at the schools. It
- 9:00Speaker 4: looked so fun, right, So we kind of eventually had
- 9:03Speaker 4: a group of people at the Credit Union that said,
- 9:05Speaker 4: let's do this for us. And so we've had football
- 9:09Speaker 4: theme days and superhero days and this year it's fiesta,
- 9:14Speaker 4: and it's just a chance for us to enjoy time
- 9:17Speaker 4: together as employees and co workers and then also give
- 9:20Speaker 4: back to the community.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Yeah, that's why I see so many smiling faces when
- 9:24Speaker 1: I go into the Trudy Credit Union is that you're
- 9:26Speaker 1: always doing something kind of cool, kind of fun internally,
- 9:29Speaker 1: developing the culture so that it radiates out to the
- 9:33Speaker 1: customer as well.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Yeah, tell them about All Staff Day. Yeah.
- 9:37Speaker 5: So we actually just had our all staff Day on Monday,
- 9:40Speaker 5: so we were close to the public, but we were
- 9:43Speaker 5: working and we were working together to come up with
- 9:46Speaker 5: some new ideas, some solutions throughout the departments and how
- 9:51Speaker 5: we can better serve our members.
- 9:54Speaker 4: And we bring in all of our employees from all
- 9:57Speaker 4: over the company. So our Houston folks and our can
- 10:00Speaker 4: This folks all travel in, they all stay the night here,
- 10:02Speaker 4: they all eat dinner here. We had a big meeting
- 10:05Speaker 4: with everybody at the Hilton and spent a good solid
- 10:08Speaker 4: eight hours in there. And so it's really a unique
- 10:13Speaker 4: thing for a company to bring everybody in and I
- 10:16Speaker 4: love that it gives back to Bartlesville with sales tax
- 10:19Speaker 4: dollars and hotel room nights.
- 10:20Speaker 1: I'm ready's back they're going, yes, we did that just
- 10:23Speaker 1: for her.
- 10:26Speaker 4: No, but it's a great day and it's a great
- 10:28Speaker 4: way to kick off our spirit week too.
- 10:29Speaker 1: So indeed, indeed, now a true any credit union to
- 10:33Speaker 1: facilities right here and down, and of course with everything
- 10:37Speaker 1: that you can do online. I mean, this is just amazing.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I went on your website. I go to your website
- 10:42Speaker 1: quite a bit because you know, I'd like to visit
- 10:44Speaker 1: my money.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I have tens of dollars.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Anyway, It's it's easy to navigate, and I would have
- 10:53Speaker 1: been the last person on earth. I think that I
- 10:56Speaker 1: could possibly be one of those folks who can actually
- 10:59Speaker 1: go to my tail phone and get on the app
- 11:02Speaker 1: and actually do something. But I can, and if I
- 11:05Speaker 1: can do that at sixty five, I don't know what
- 11:08Speaker 1: anybody else's problem is. Get on with it. You have
- 11:11Speaker 1: the safest network that I've come across. It's you know it,
- 11:15Speaker 1: and you're head of.
- 11:19Speaker 2: The company there.
- 11:20Speaker 1: It came from the tech side of it too, so
- 11:23Speaker 1: I'm sure that everything is safeguarded well.
- 11:26Speaker 4: We definitely pride ourselves in security measures and making sure
- 11:30Speaker 4: that our members information is safe, that their money is safe,
- 11:33Speaker 4: and that it's easy for them to access things. If
- 11:36Speaker 4: you have a great credit union and you're really strong,
- 11:38Speaker 4: but people can't get to their money and they can't
- 11:40Speaker 4: move it around the way they want to, and they
- 11:41Speaker 4: can't pay their bills, then that's not what we're.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Looking to do.
- 11:45Speaker 4: So we do try and make it easy, and we
- 11:48Speaker 4: make sure that if we launch any new technology, we
- 11:50Speaker 4: do videos and different things explaining to people, you know,
- 11:55Speaker 4: how to make the product work and things like that.
- 11:57Speaker 3: So, yeah, we try really hard to.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Make sure that we're covering our bases and that people
- 12:02Speaker 4: can get the access they need.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I'll tell you what. You got reassurances. You've
- 12:06Speaker 1: got reassurances and redundancies on top of everything there. So
- 12:10Speaker 1: you've got the assurance of safety. Now you've got the
- 12:13Speaker 1: confidence in the product. You've got confidence and the people
- 12:16Speaker 1: behind it too. So I think you got a good
- 12:18Speaker 1: thing going. It's a good start anyway. I think you've
- 12:22Speaker 1: done a really good job. Now what are you celebrating
- 12:24Speaker 1: all week? You got something to celebrate?
- 12:26Speaker 3: We do, And you know, I'll just mention one last thing.
- 12:29Speaker 4: Last night or yesterday afternoon, we actually had our Truity
- 12:33Speaker 4: Travels kickoff for twenty twenty.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yes, how'd that go.
- 12:37Speaker 3: So it was great.
- 12:38Speaker 4: We had probably like seventy five people that showed up,
- 12:41Speaker 4: and we have a travel partner that we use, and
- 12:44Speaker 4: he came in and talked about all the trips that
- 12:47Speaker 4: they'll be doing in twenty twenty five, going to Croatia
- 12:51Speaker 4: and Ireland and New York and a trip to the Arc,
- 12:57Speaker 4: so the Arc thing in Kentucky.
- 13:02Speaker 3: Yeah, So I just.
- 13:03Speaker 4: Want to make sure I was clear on that, and
- 13:05Speaker 4: so it was a really great thing. So that's a
- 13:06Speaker 4: great service. If anyone just googles Truity Travels, you can
- 13:11Speaker 4: find our web page where we list out the trips
- 13:13Speaker 4: that will be running this year. And it's a great
- 13:15Speaker 4: opportunity for people to do some group travel, travel safely,
- 13:20Speaker 4: you know, make sure that everything's taken care of for them,
- 13:22Speaker 4: and have some really great experiences.
- 13:25Speaker 1: I want to thank your people in communications for communicating
- 13:27Speaker 1: that because I got to read all about that and
- 13:30Speaker 1: it looks very exciting and of course anything that's new
- 13:34Speaker 1: and get you get heads up on it and you're
- 13:36Speaker 1: ready to rock and roll with it.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Yeah, and you really have a personal advocate that's helping
- 13:40Speaker 4: you with that travel process too, which kind of takes
- 13:43Speaker 4: a little bit of the concern away from some people
- 13:46Speaker 4: when they're traveling, so I think it works out really well.
- 13:48Speaker 1: Wonderful Nicole Sarah, thank you both for being here with
- 13:51Speaker 1: us today and so we celebrate.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Great International Credit Union Day.
- 13:56Speaker 1: There we go day, but it's really a week around
- 13:59Speaker 1: here anyway. Thanks for being here with us today on
- 14:02Speaker 1: our one on one with the pro. Thanks for listening
- 14:08Speaker 1: to one on one of the professional a paid presentation
- 14:10Speaker 1: in fourteen people K one
