Twelve Minnesota artists, including fiber wizard Natalija Walbridge, are transforming the State Fair into a living art studio—where you can watch creativity unfold in real time. Walbridge’s breathtaking textile paintings, stitched with hand-dyed fabric to mimic wildlife scenes from her Lake Superior home, turn fabric into brushstrokes. Her labor-intensive works, like “The Purple Finch” (currently in progress), invite viewers into nature through texture and thread.
