  is very much being talked about by a large majority of people

  because of Daredevil Born again season 2 episode 6 we're going

  to talk about Danielle Cage. I started putting together this

  episode when Jessica Jones came in the mid season trailer and

  said he they broke into my house where my daughter was or however
• 0:35
  she said it. So I thought this would be a
• 0:37
  really good time now to talk about it because I think a lot
• 0:39
  of people kind of look at Danielle just as a daughter of
• 0:42
  Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. But there's she has more to her
• 0:49
  story. Yes, she is just a cute
• 0:51
  daughter, but she also there's more.

  So Danielle first appeared in The pulse #13 of January 2006.

  It was created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gados.

  It's fantastic. Before she even realized she was
• 1:07
  pregnant, Jessica Jones kept seeing visions of Danielle

  everywhere she went. Outside her apartment, out on

  the street, even restaurants halfway across the world.

  Every time Jessica would ask where her parents were, Danielle
• 1:19
  or to her, the little girl would oddly just say that she was with
• 1:22
  her mom. She also saw Danielle doing some
• 1:25
  pretty wild stuff, like casually lifting tables over her head as
• 1:28
  kids tend to do. Eventually, Jessica figured out
• 1:32
  that she was actually pregnant and went to an OBGYN to get it
• 1:36
  checked out. The doctor confirmed it, and
• 1:38
  when Jessica explained everything she'd been seeing,
• 1:41
  the doctor said it's possible that the baby could be born with
• 1:44
  enhanced abilities if both parents had powers.

  Now is a good time to mention that Luke Cage is the father.

  So not long after, Jessica told Luke that he was the father and

  the two of them started looking very forward to the future ahead

  that is now been very, very changed, which tends to happen

  when you are expecting a baby. In their new new chapter of

  their lives, Danielle was born to Luke and Jessica.

  Also, fun fact, Danielle was named after Luke's best friend
• 2:14
  Danny Rand AKA the Iron Fist who is her godfather and I find that
• 2:19
  ridiculously adorable. But as the daughter of Luke and
• 2:24
  Jessica and you have the Iron Fist as your godfather, things
• 2:27
  are going to get complicated in your childhood.

  It is not going to be a normal childhood.

  For example, during the Secret Invasion, things got pretty
• 2:35
  intense. When it became clear the

  invasion was going to fail, a scroll disguised as Edwin Jarvis

  took Danielle from Avengers Tower.

  He didn't actually hurt her though, and ended up returning
• 2:45
  her after being threatened by Norman Osborne and his Dark
• 2:48
  Avengers. Even so, even though he returned
• 2:52
  her, he did not make it out alive because Bullseye got
• 2:54
  involved. And if we know anything about
• 2:56
  Bullseye, Bullseye is just going to take you out no matter what.

  So another fun fact. Later on, while they were in

  Avengers Mansion, while Luke and Jessica and Danielle live there,

  Squirrel Girl was hired to be Danielle's nanny.

  And I don't know why, but that fact has always just sat so
• 3:14
  right in my soul. Because what better nanny?

  If you know anything about Squirrel Girl, you know that
• 3:19
  she, she's the girl. So usually when you hear about
• 3:23
  Danielle, you hear about how she the daughter of Luke and
• 3:27
  Jessica, right? But did you actually know that
• 3:29
  she becomes Captain America when she was a baby?
• 3:33
  Santos attacked Project Pegasus to build Cosmic Cube gauntlets,
• 3:36
  succeeded and wiped out half of the Earth's heroes.

  An event called 0 day, which this does sound familiar.

  Afterward, Natasha Romanov, Black Widow, formed The Avengers
• 3:47
  Initiative and eventually helped defeat him.

  Danielle was raised and trained by Natasha Romanov who she
• 3:53
  called Madame Natasha and later became Captain America.

  She has her dad's unbreakable skin and her mom's super
• 3:59
  strength and uses a thought controlled anti gravity shield

  and carries A handheld time machine that kind of acts like a
• 4:06
  smartphone. Her main enemy is the Golden
• 4:09
  Skull, a villain she even chases through time at some point.

  She also fights Ultron's forces and a dystopian future and works
• 4:18
  with allies like alternate Captain America's and US
• 4:22
  Avengers led by Roberto De Costa.

  At one point she's pulled 400 years into the future with other
• 4:29
  Avengers where an All Father Ultron has taken over.
• 4:33
  They team up with a Doombot version of Doctor Doom to stop
• 4:36
  him, but things go wrong as they tend to do.
• 4:40
  Ultron's power transfers to a backup under Doom's control and
• 4:43
  he sends everyone home, possibly stronger than before.
• 4:46
  Which was kind of funny to see the realization of did we just
• 4:51
  make Doom even more powerful on the characters faces?
• 4:55
  So I thought it was funny. Later, Danielle helps the New
• 5:00
  Avengers battle the Maker who is Reed Richards, then tracks the
• 5:04
  Golden Skull again after he steals a time machine with the
• 5:08
  help of the US Avengers. She defeats him and returned to
• 5:10
  her time with him captured. So Danielle Cage, she does have
• 5:14
  some interesting stories. She makes a fun Captain America.
• 5:19
  She's an interesting character that doesn't get used a lot,
• 5:22
  which is fine. There's been so many Captain
• 5:27
  America's so many. So it's like, I wouldn't be mad
• 5:32
  if they brought Danielle back, made her her own character, made
• 5:35
  her own superhero. Because I mean, like, she is
• 5:37
  super powered. She is mentored by superheroes.
• 5:42
  She was raised by superheroes. So I think that would be kind of
• 5:45
  cool. But I mean, I don't expect too
• 5:48
  much because Marvel Comics doesn't really do anything with
• 5:51
  Luke Cage either. And he's the whole mayor of New
• 5:53
  York, so. And that's fine.

  But hey, we have a limited series of Alias Red Band for
• 6:02
  Jessica Jones. You know what?

  I'm starting to piss myself off because you guys are fumbling
• 6:07
  these characters. Even though Alias Red Band is
• 6:09
  pretty great. I'm really liking it.

  Come on, guys like these are great characters.

  I want to see more of them. That's it.

  That's my only grief. So I hope you enjoyed this
