- 0:15Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, Welcome to Pink Shade. It's Wednesday, It's whitey Wednesday.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna chat with Kimberly today about Welcome to Platfill,
- 0:23Speaker 1: Season eight, episode ten. So this is the pen ultimate
- 0:26Speaker 1: episode because next week is the last one.
- 0:29Speaker 2: Oh my god, and we finally get to see Barry
- 0:31Speaker 2: go out a date.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Oh, we finally get to see it.
- 0:34Speaker 2: And it was just as wonderful as I hoped it
- 0:39Speaker 2: would be.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I was. That lady had an interesting look about her.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It was a little like.
- 0:46Speaker 2: She has a housewife Florida Florida housewife.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Look.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yeah, real real housewife.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I mean yes, yes, her eyes are very far apart,
- 0:55Speaker 1: like a shark.
- 0:56Speaker 2: They're kind of it was, she's kind of catlike. Yes,
- 0:59Speaker 2: I think she's had some injections that I have given
- 1:04Speaker 2: her a bit of a cat like appearance.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Yeah, no shade, I had all my injections today.
- 1:10Speaker 2: So yeah, no, no, none at all. There were definitely
- 1:15Speaker 2: some telltale signs.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Listen with you, guys. We we love a we love
- 1:21Speaker 1: we love a botox needle, we love it all totally.
- 1:23Speaker 1: We were totally for it. So no shade to her.
- 1:26Speaker 2: No, well, looks great, she looks she's fit and right,
- 1:32Speaker 2: she's no no fatties, no fatty for fairy to be
- 1:36Speaker 2: disgusted by. So fat got to throw some shade towards
- 1:42Speaker 2: Kim unintentionally or maybe.
- 1:44Speaker 1: Intentionally intentionally intentionally, Yeah, I love it. Let's let's open up.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So this is where the rubber meets the road. And
- 1:54Speaker 1: is that like Barry needs to wear a rubber or
- 1:57Speaker 1: is Mary pain Sorry, that was the first thing I
- 2:02Speaker 1: thought of. But yes he should, Yes he should because
- 2:05Speaker 1: it depends on the age of these ladies that he's dating.
- 2:08Speaker 2: But also just safe sex. You know when I get
- 2:11Speaker 2: an STD out there.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Barry, No you don't. Well, we're in kro and today
- 2:17Speaker 1: is blind date Day for Darry.
- 2:19Speaker 2: He for Darry, for Barry, he's making history. Plath Daddy
- 2:25Speaker 2: would be Dad Death or Patty Patty Patty platty platty
- 2:35Speaker 2: latty platty.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I would like to play the music that they played
- 2:40Speaker 1: while Berry was getting ready. This is the opening music
- 2:45Speaker 1: for the show. Here we go. Yeah, so versatile, so sexy.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Now it's giving more like gay guy goes out on
- 3:08Speaker 2: the club scene. It is music, whereas a song like
- 3:15Speaker 2: Big Pimpin would give like a straight guy going out
- 3:20Speaker 2: on a date fire.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Like, Yeah. Well, I mean, first of all, they can't
- 3:24Speaker 1: afford any of this music, but I think no, But they.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Just say they chat but typed in Big Pimpin knockoff
- 3:32Speaker 2: even more big Pimpin.
- 3:34Speaker 1: It could be elderly Christian sasquatch lover goes on. Okay,
- 3:43Speaker 1: so he tells us, you know, I don't know if
- 3:47Speaker 1: I'll be able to find a woman that has everything
- 3:49Speaker 1: I need. You know, because I love a good religious
- 3:51Speaker 1: history book. I mean, I just read the Book of Enoch.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Who could say they read that? Well, not me, because
- 3:58Speaker 1: I didn't know what it was. So I looked it up.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Did you know what it was?
- 4:02Speaker 2: Did I know what it was? I am a religious historian,
- 4:09Speaker 2: Mary Payne, Well, I know all. I've heard of it,
- 4:12Speaker 2: but I didn't know what it was. No, not at all.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Well. It is an ancient Jewish apocalyptic religious text ascribed
- 4:21Speaker 1: by tradition to the like ascribed to meaning they're saying
- 4:25Speaker 1: that the patriarch Enoch. The patriarch Enoch wrote it. He
- 4:31Speaker 1: was the father of Masutalah and the great grandfather of Noah.
- 4:35Speaker 1: The Book of Enoch contains unique material on the origins
- 4:39Speaker 1: of demons and Nephelim and some angels fell from heaven.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And that's an explanation of why the Genesis flood was
- 4:50Speaker 1: morally necessary and a prophetic exposition of the thousand year
- 4:55Speaker 1: reign of the Messiah. These three books are traditionally attributed
- 5:00Speaker 1: to Enoch, including the distinct works of Enoch Too and
- 5:05Speaker 1: Enoch Three. It is not considered to be.
- 5:07Speaker 2: The sequel and the trilogy and then the prequel return
- 5:12Speaker 2: of the Enoch before Enoch Enoch Too Furious.
- 5:19Speaker 1: It's not considered to be scripture by most movements of
- 5:22Speaker 1: Judaism or branches of Christianity, although it is in the
- 5:26Speaker 1: Biblical canon used by the Ethiopian Jewish Community and Ethiopia.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Several Ethiopian churches believe in it. So that's interesting that
- 5:38Speaker 1: he read that. Did he read like what we say,
- 5:41Speaker 1: the King James version, like the version that's written out
- 5:44Speaker 1: so that you can understand it, or did he read
- 5:46Speaker 1: it and yield language. I'm going to tell you one thing.
- 5:51Speaker 1: This chickie goes on a day with definitely didn't read it. No,
- 5:54Speaker 1: absolutely no, no, no, she was, She's reading the devil
- 5:57Speaker 1: worst product. So anyway, the production now trolls him like
- 6:03Speaker 1: they do and ask him about his pickup lines does
- 6:05Speaker 1: he have any? And he says, hey, baby, your hair
- 6:09Speaker 1: shirt does flow? Come flow my way, baby, I want
- 6:13Speaker 1: to go with the flow. What are we talking about here?
- 6:18Speaker 2: I feel like he was It was like he was
- 6:20Speaker 2: in an improv class and the teacher yelled out okay, flow,
- 6:26Speaker 2: and then he's like trying to riff off the word flow,
- 6:28Speaker 2: and then the teacher would be like dog okay, create
- 6:31Speaker 2: a scene about a dog and the word flow, and
- 6:35Speaker 2: then he's just he's riffing okay. And it wasn't good.
- 6:40Speaker 2: And also it's all his children's fault because when they
- 6:44Speaker 2: were at that bar, Mariah, Micah and Ethan, they he said,
- 6:50Speaker 2: do you have any pickup lines for me? None of
- 6:53Speaker 2: them helped out at all.
- 6:56Speaker 1: How would they know what pickup lines?
- 6:57Speaker 2: Arentholn just grunted, that's a big up line. Ethan as
- 7:06Speaker 2: he really needs to talk more to the ladies in
- 7:09Speaker 2: the fit, the CrossFit class, like yeah, yeah, like their
- 7:14Speaker 2: husbands or their husbands, because Zach and Taylor are not
- 7:19Speaker 2: going to be helpful in this arena. No.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Then he does his Donald Dutt talk that he's always
- 7:26Speaker 1: thought was funny and he puts on a polo shirt
- 7:28Speaker 1: that I was surprised he could even button one button
- 7:31Speaker 1: because it was busted at the sames and uh he.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Says yours.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Yeah, But I like that he admitted it, like he's like, yeah,
- 7:41Speaker 1: I like to show that I put in four years
- 7:43Speaker 1: of work into my upper body. Does that mean he's
- 7:45Speaker 1: one of those guys that has the huge upper body
- 7:47Speaker 1: and like tiny little legs.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Yes, I think it does, because I feel like we've
- 7:51Speaker 2: seen that he is a triangle in upside down triangle shape.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it's too bad like this, yes, right.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Maybe can't touch his penis to go to the bathroom.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Because his arms are like so out to the side.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he's not quite that Jack. He's not like Patrick
- 8:09Speaker 2: and tays right, but he definitely I feel I don't
- 8:14Speaker 2: know if he even does core work, Like is it
- 8:17Speaker 2: only arms and chest all the time.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Well, we've seen him in like a in a CrossFit
- 8:22Speaker 1: situation where he's flipping tires and stuff.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Like that, and kind that's a good core.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, listen to us talking like a bunch of
- 8:29Speaker 1: gym rats that we are. Yeah, yeah, you and I.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Today's today's leg day. So we see a dating photo
- 8:37Speaker 1: from back in the day of Kim and Barry, and
- 8:40Speaker 1: he says, you know, before they got married, they did
- 8:42Speaker 1: have the posture of not kissing before the altar, but
- 8:45Speaker 1: he's revised it and uh, he's open to kissing, but
- 8:50Speaker 1: not on a first date. And he goes, why not though?
- 8:53Speaker 1: But there that's a change between version one and version two.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Unlike Kim who preach the devil's of alcohol and now
- 9:02Speaker 2: is just driving drunk all the time, all.
- 9:05Speaker 1: The time, but sports he is. Oh by the way,
- 9:10Speaker 1: Season four, episode one that will be on Pink Shade
- 9:12Speaker 1: Prime today on Wednesday. It's the introduction of Kim and
- 9:16Speaker 1: the Spurts.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yes, was Keisha excited?
- 9:19Speaker 1: We haven't recorded it yet, okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, But
- 9:22Speaker 1: she doesn't know.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Kish didn't know what a squirt is. She's very fashionable.
- 9:27Speaker 1: She's very fashionable. I don't know if Kisha knows what
- 9:29Speaker 1: a scort is, but she's about to find out. Okay, y'all.

- 9:36Speaker 1: where I literally thrive. I have been at the beach
- 9:39Speaker 1: and to me, there's nothing better than getting outside in

- 10:15Speaker 1: not sticky. I just love it, and it also works
- 10:18Speaker 1: as a lipliner, so it's two products in one. It's
- 10:21Speaker 1: really really it's so good. I have it in two
- 10:24Speaker 1: purses and in my car, you know, just a case
- 10:26Speaker 1: I need some lipstick going into the grocery store. And

- 11:29Speaker 1: Y'all know what app I look at every single day Reddit.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I used to think Reddit was just for finding information
- 11:35Speaker 1: out about our ninety day cast members, but now I'm
- 11:38Speaker 1: on there for everything. I'll check reviews before I buy
- 11:41Speaker 1: a new hair dryer, or if I need to look
- 11:44Speaker 1: at some travel tips, and suddenly I'm deep in a
- 11:46Speaker 1: thread about my favorite online game, Sneaky Sasquatch. Yes, I
- 11:50Speaker 1: am probably the oldest person that plays Sneaky Sasquatch and
- 11:53Speaker 1: goes on this thread, but I don't care. Reddit always
- 11:56Speaker 1: has the answers for me. When I can't pass the level. Okay,
- 11:58Speaker 1: it's a game for ages four and up. I digress, Okay.
- 12:01Speaker 1: You know, I get obsessed with topics like Billie Eilish
- 12:04Speaker 1: or the Plath family, or to read mpka's finances from
- 12:08Speaker 1: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. So I just love going
- 12:10Speaker 1: to Reddit and doing a deep dive to find out
- 12:13Speaker 1: what the fans are saying. I like to swap theories.
- 12:15Speaker 1: I like to see their reactions in real times the
- 12:18Speaker 1: dramas unfolding on our TV. And that's another reason I
- 12:21Speaker 1: like to look at things on Reddit. It's just real
- 12:23Speaker 1: people sharing real opinions and real experiences, and you know,
- 12:27Speaker 1: I'm one of those people. I'm on there, and if
- 12:29Speaker 1: you want an honest review of something, Reddit is always
- 12:32Speaker 1: the first place to go. Okay. My favorite subreddits are
- 12:35Speaker 1: are slash Welcome to plotfill, our slash Bravo, and of
- 12:38Speaker 1: course our slash Sneaky Sasquatch. But I also love our
- 12:42Speaker 1: slash travel Hacks and when I'm really into a show
- 12:46Speaker 1: like Traders, oh my gosh, the subreddits are incredible. Reddit
- 12:51Speaker 1: is the app for authentic conversations about anything and everything,
- 12:55Speaker 1: whatever question you're dealing with whatever problem. Your stock on
- 12:58Speaker 1: Reddit always has the answers. Download the Reddit app and

- 13:12Speaker 1: Ok yeah, wait, this is when Mama plaf tells us
- 13:15Speaker 1: that she likes the Beastie Boys. She's like, you know,
- 13:19Speaker 1: I used to really like Run DMC and the Beastie Boys.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Like what, and then you married a man who wouldn't
- 13:25Speaker 2: let you listen to Neil Diamond.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Any secular music.
- 13:32Speaker 2: No, there was something in specific.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Meet Low, meat Loaf, meat Low.
- 13:38Speaker 2: And now she has a playlist of over five hundred songs.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Sure does, and I'm going to play every one of them.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Okay, so I don't have to talk to you Lydia
- 13:47Speaker 2: in the car.
- 13:48Speaker 1: He says he's a traditionalist. He likes to wait until
- 13:51Speaker 1: marriage for sex. So okay, well we'll see what happens
- 13:54Speaker 1: after this day, because you know Nook and Nook.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Well she was lady ready, I'm up the tree of
- 14:02Speaker 2: the Bladdie Platty Platty Plath said, bladdie like a bladder,
- 14:11Speaker 2: like a bladder.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Yeah all right, So now we're in Tallahassee, Florida. This
- 14:18Speaker 1: woman walks in. The music is wild. It was like
- 14:21Speaker 1: around down to chow. Wow. Her name is Jonah and
- 14:27Speaker 1: it's pronounced like Jonah Hill, but it's Joan with an
- 14:31Speaker 1: a like your mom was Joanie. This is Jonah Mm hmm.
- 14:36Speaker 1: Was your mom's name Joany or was it Joan? And
- 14:39Speaker 1: they called her Jony. It's Joanne, Oh, Joanne.
- 14:44Speaker 2: And there's actually three Joanne's who all went by Joni.
- 14:48Speaker 2: One is her cousin and one has my dad's cousin.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Confusing, Yeah, three Joni's. Well, I wonder if Jonah is
- 14:57Speaker 1: also Joanne. And they just took off the n in
- 14:59Speaker 1: the park. But anyway, and the talking head he saysh
- 15:05Speaker 1: she walked in and I said, Wow, she's very petite.
- 15:08Speaker 1: And I'm like, wow, that's a nice thing.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Unlike the cow over here. Ken is settled with No.
- 15:17Speaker 2: I'm saying, what is in his thoughts?
- 15:20Speaker 1: This is not me? Yeah? He he said, wow, she's
- 15:25Speaker 1: very petite, and I'm like, and you could tell he
- 15:27Speaker 1: started like, how am I going to dig myself out
- 15:29Speaker 1: of what I was thinking? I was gonna say, I'm
- 15:32Speaker 1: too comfortable with these producers. I need to roll it back.
- 15:36Speaker 1: So we're talking to Jonah says, Hi, I'm Jonah. I'm
- 15:39Speaker 1: forty six. I've been divorced for nine years, and it's
- 15:43Speaker 1: difficult to date in your forties with kids, especially in Tallahassee,
- 15:46Speaker 1: because everybody knows everybody here. Everybody talking about Jonah out
- 15:50Speaker 1: on these streets.
- 15:51Speaker 2: So is he Tallahassee like a large community.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a pretty big town. It's a college town.
- 16:00Speaker 2: So no one's talking about you, Jonah. I know you're
- 16:02Speaker 2: a realtor and all. And maybe you have your face
- 16:06Speaker 2: on a couple bus stops. Yeah, maybe that's what she means.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Well, he tells her, I gotta tell you, it's my
- 16:13Speaker 1: first time in a blind date. And she goes me too,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and he says, did you that's weird?
- 16:20Speaker 2: I'm sorry. And she's been divorced for nine years and
- 16:23Speaker 2: no one has set her up on a blind date
- 16:24Speaker 2: before this.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Well probably like fully blind date, like this is just
- 16:31Speaker 1: like somebody she knew, knew somebody he knew kind of
- 16:33Speaker 1: a thing, I guess. Or she had tried out to
- 16:37Speaker 1: be a real housewife of Tallahassee and they had her
- 16:39Speaker 1: in the water and we're like, oh, she's in the
- 16:41Speaker 1: list of people that want to be on reality shows.
- 16:45Speaker 1: So he says, did you look up anything about me online?
- 16:49Speaker 1: Meek and I am famous, I am.
- 16:54Speaker 2: LC network. Have you heard of it?
- 16:58Speaker 1: And she goes, well, little bit, and he said, well,
- 17:02Speaker 1: all I knew about you is that you're in your forties, blonde,
- 17:05Speaker 1: good looking, and athletic. And she goes, stop, that describes
- 17:09Speaker 1: me perfectly. So I thought she was kind of cute
- 17:12Speaker 1: and cheeky.
- 17:12Speaker 2: I liked it, and I hate that. Please give me more,
- 17:17Speaker 2: give me more. That's such an old, tired joke.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Okay, Well, I feel like I say it all the time,
- 17:23Speaker 1: so now I feel firstly offended.
- 17:30Speaker 2: I would just tell you you would see my face
- 17:32Speaker 2: when you did it, in the moment where I'd be like, ohugh, car.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Paint stop tacky.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:39Speaker 1: So in the talking head he goes, yeah, I like her,
- 17:42Speaker 1: She's my type. I hope I'm making a good first impression,
- 17:46Speaker 1: but I feel like it's going well. He tells her
- 17:49Speaker 1: he's fifty seven, so she's forty six, and when she
- 17:53Speaker 1: says she's forty six, he goes, well, you look great
- 17:55Speaker 1: for forty six. You look really young. She didn't just
- 17:58Speaker 1: say she's sixty six. She said, she's nine years younger
- 18:00Speaker 1: than you. I know, no, eleven eleven years. Sorry, you know, math,
- 18:06Speaker 1: especially with odd numbers, can't do on eleven years. So yeah,
- 18:10Speaker 1: of course she looks good. She's eleven years younger than you.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Yeah, don't make it sound like she is walked in
- 18:16Speaker 2: on her walker. Yeah, so good for ninety grandmas.
- 18:22Speaker 1: And then he even because he has nothing to say,
- 18:24Speaker 1: he goes, you know that that shirt that's a that's
- 18:26Speaker 1: a great shade of blue. Blue is one of my
- 18:29Speaker 1: favorite colors. So I just watch your favorite If you
- 18:31Speaker 1: were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?
- 18:33Speaker 1: He just like, just like he doesn't know what to say.
- 18:37Speaker 1: She says she has four kids, and he goes, do
- 18:40Speaker 1: you know how many I have? And she goes, no, Well,
- 18:44Speaker 1: then you didn't do any research.
- 18:45Speaker 2: You couldn't have even done a cursory Google search.
- 18:49Speaker 1: He says, more than four, not double digit, not double digits,
- 18:53Speaker 1: but max. And at the single digits, well that was
- 18:56Speaker 1: just a lot of worse to say nine. Okay, I
- 18:58Speaker 1: say nine, and he says, yeah, we took be fruitful
- 19:02Speaker 1: and multiply seriously. Then they talk about being a Christian
- 19:09Speaker 1: and he says, I'm just Christian, not any flavor. Because
- 19:13Speaker 1: he's trying to ask her about going to church, and
- 19:15Speaker 1: this is where I thought we were going to have
- 19:16Speaker 1: a deal breaker. Yeah, she says, I am religious, but
- 19:20Speaker 1: not with a specific church. I grew up Southern Baptist,
- 19:23Speaker 1: so that kind of put me off organized religion. But
- 19:26Speaker 1: I don't have a He goes, but you don't have
- 19:28Speaker 1: a specific church right now, like, but you will find
- 19:31Speaker 1: one's hopping.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Yeah, she's looking around. Listen, she's hot. He is willing
- 19:38Speaker 2: to overlook a lot of this. So even if she
- 19:41Speaker 2: if she was an ugo, he would have been like, oh,
- 19:45Speaker 2: deal breaker, she doesn't have a church.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Right and he would use that as an excuse. But
- 19:49Speaker 1: because she's hot, he's.
- 19:50Speaker 2: Like, yeah, so he's hearing what he wants to hear.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I'm hearing that she's very religious and just like me,
- 19:59Speaker 2: and she wants maybe more children with Jesus and me,
- 20:04Speaker 2: and she will come to my church with me because
- 20:07Speaker 2: she hasn't found what she likes.
- 20:10Speaker 1: So she says, how do your kids feel about you, Danny?
- 20:12Speaker 1: And he says, well, the younger girls, we call them
- 20:16Speaker 1: the little girls. They want to see me happy. They
- 20:20Speaker 1: want to see me thriving, and you know they want
- 20:22Speaker 1: me to find the one talking to her. Jonah says,
- 20:26Speaker 1: I was nervous, but he made me feel very comfortable.
- 20:28Speaker 1: He was very into eye contact and I love that.
- 20:31Speaker 1: And he's got the guns going on. I loved it.
- 20:36Speaker 2: Okay, Wow, she's morny for platty.
- 20:39Speaker 1: She likes platty, and we're all stunned. Nobody's more stunned
- 20:43Speaker 1: than gimp Or. I'm stunned that she's into him. I
- 20:47Speaker 1: know you're slightly into him yourself, exactly. That's concerning. It's concerning.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I see you, Jonah. I'm gonna take it down. I'm
- 20:57Speaker 2: gonna drive to Florida if my adult diapers on and
- 21:03Speaker 2: overnight it and show up at your door.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Wow.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Wow, astronaut style. I wonder if you have to be
- 21:11Speaker 2: a certain nation to know that story. I guess so, yeah, probably. Sorry.
- 21:15Speaker 2: So there was this story where this former astronaut she
- 21:20Speaker 2: drove across the country to kill her at her her
- 21:25Speaker 2: boyfriend or ex's rival like that it was her rival
- 21:29Speaker 2: that the ex.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Was dating or the plan was to kill her. She
- 21:35Speaker 1: was an astronaut and her boyfriend was an astronaut and
- 21:37Speaker 1: he had a new girlfriend. So she was driving across
- 21:39Speaker 1: the country where male astronaut and new girlfriend were. But
- 21:44Speaker 1: she going to kill him or her, maybe both, I'm
- 21:47Speaker 1: not sure.
- 21:48Speaker 2: But that's not That's not the point was that she
- 21:51Speaker 2: put on an adult diapers and that's why it became
- 21:53Speaker 2: so okay, scandalique, legendary.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Because she was like, oh I'm not Also, I'm not
- 21:59Speaker 1: stopping this car.
- 22:00Speaker 2: You know, international heroes being astronaut people.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, she's be shame to the space program. Yeah.
- 22:07Speaker 1: So he Barry asked Jonah if she's sporty, and she says,
- 22:12Speaker 1: I'm a gym type and I lift and he goes okay,
- 22:16Speaker 1: and she's like, I see you do too. He goes,
- 22:19Speaker 1: yeah I do, and she goes, okay, we could go
- 22:21Speaker 1: in the gym together. I'm small, but I can push you.
- 22:24Speaker 1: And he goes, yeah, good stuff.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Oh my god. This flirting hot and heavy. They're just
- 22:30Speaker 2: doing under the table at this little cafe. I know.
- 22:34Speaker 1: So she says, let's break the ice. What are you
- 22:37Speaker 1: looking for in a relationship after being married?
- 22:40Speaker 2: Are you've been breaking the ice for I felt like
- 22:42Speaker 2: half an hour.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if this if they just edited
- 22:46Speaker 1: this weird. But what are you looking for in a
- 22:48Speaker 1: relationship after being married for so long but nine kids?
- 22:51Speaker 1: And he says, well, I'm looking for somebody who likes adventure,
- 22:56Speaker 1: wants to travel, outgoing, fun loving, likes to laugh, not
- 23:01Speaker 1: too serious. She goes, ah, stop you're describing me. Kindly
- 23:06Speaker 1: gets mad. Second time, she says she's in real estate,
- 23:11Speaker 1: and she goes, you can ask anybody around town. Everybody
- 23:14Speaker 1: around here knows me. What you see is what you get.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I don't pull any punches. And he says, I just
- 23:20Speaker 1: kind of want to be in a relationship where I
- 23:22Speaker 1: can really be myself. People just really laugh at my
- 23:26Speaker 1: Donald Duck jokes like that's what I want. And she
- 23:29Speaker 1: got and they say and we could grow together and
- 23:30Speaker 1: they kind of say it at the same time, and
- 23:33Speaker 1: he goes, but I need time to let things develop.
- 23:38Speaker 1: So that's where I'm at. Okay, So I was talking
- 23:42Speaker 1: head this is a weirzing.
- 23:43Speaker 2: I did feel like it was a little shade when
- 23:45Speaker 2: he said it's so great to hear that she's out
- 23:47Speaker 2: there in the world making a living.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I know that's what he says. Next.
- 23:51Speaker 2: Oh, so I'm so sorry.
- 23:53Speaker 1: No, that's okay, because I was just going to say
- 23:55Speaker 1: this was a weird thing that he said. He says,
- 23:58Speaker 1: I find out she's a realtor there in the world
- 24:00Speaker 1: making a living. So it's all there in a package,
- 24:03Speaker 1: and it's feeling great.
- 24:05Speaker 2: So a, she's not lazy like Kim. She's not going
- 24:10Speaker 2: to be begging me for money child support if we
- 24:12Speaker 2: get divorced like Kim.
- 24:16Speaker 1: Yeah, it was weird. It's like he'd never met a
- 24:18Speaker 1: like an actual lady with a job.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Working gal.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Do you wear your skirt with your tennis shoes on
- 24:26Speaker 2: the subway and then have your heels in your purse?
- 24:31Speaker 1: He saw a working girl like one Aquanette, So yeah,
- 24:36Speaker 1: she says. She says she's been divorced for nine years.
- 24:38Speaker 1: And she says, I've dated, I've had long term relationship,
- 24:41Speaker 1: but I haven't found the one. And he goes, well,
- 24:44Speaker 1: I'm getting a good vibe here, and she says me too,
- 24:47Speaker 1: and he goes, let's set up a time for another date.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Very it's bold.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Verry then tells production, you guys, I think you guys
- 24:56Speaker 1: could wrap it up here. I'm want to go and
- 24:57Speaker 1: get something to eat with her. So I wonder if
- 25:00Speaker 1: he's like production, go home, and then she and I
- 25:02Speaker 1: are going to like meet and have a date where
- 25:04Speaker 1: the cameras aren't there.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, and bang, he's not going to bang. But yeah,
- 25:10Speaker 2: it did seem like either it was a joke or
- 25:12Speaker 2: they are going to go immediately from that date to
- 25:15Speaker 2: this state, but pretending this state is over.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. He's probably like,
- 25:19Speaker 1: we have to pretend this date's over, but I'll meet
- 25:21Speaker 1: you over at Georgios. Is that the place where everybody goes?
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yeah, something like that.
- 25:27Speaker 1: My daughter Lydia can wait on us, and if you're lucky,
- 25:29Speaker 1: my ex wife Kim will be the major d And
- 25:32Speaker 1: if we're really lucky, the manager tailor will give us
- 25:34Speaker 1: a Shirley Temple special.
- 25:37Speaker 2: Because I made him not gay anymore.
- 25:39Speaker 1: He's not gay.
- 25:40Speaker 2: He owns me. Yeah. Yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 1: So in the talking head she says, yeah, I hope
- 25:47Speaker 1: he kisses me. I'm all about to kiss on a
- 25:49Speaker 1: first date? Why not?
- 25:49Speaker 2: Sure?
- 25:51Speaker 1: Okay, he walks her to the car, they hug. He's like, wow, convertible.
- 25:56Speaker 1: This lady's really got it all going on, And then
- 26:00Speaker 1: talking to Heady goes, we didn't kiss, but I could
- 26:03Speaker 1: tell she would have been willing to receive, and I
- 26:08Speaker 1: couldn't have asked for anything to be better. Okay, we're
- 26:11Speaker 1: gonna see Jonah next episode Wonder.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Receive talking about receiving she wanted to receive, shipping and receiving.
- 26:20Speaker 1: She wanted to receive some of that Plattie gross. Okay,
- 26:27Speaker 1: somewhere in the Midwest, Kim says to Lydia in the
- 26:31Speaker 1: car after she's already discussed the bong. She says, listen,
- 26:36Speaker 1: as long as we're expressing feelings, we have heard that
- 26:40Speaker 1: you and Zach are sitting people down and telling them
- 26:43Speaker 1: you don't like how they're living, like they're not godly
- 26:46Speaker 1: enough or whatever.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Is that true?
- 26:48Speaker 1: And she goes She says no, and Kim says, I
- 26:52Speaker 1: heard you told Mariah you didn't approve of her having
- 26:55Speaker 1: alcohol in her house or playing a raunchy card game,
- 26:59Speaker 1: or you didn't like the movies and TV she watches,
- 27:02Speaker 1: and that they don't honor God. So this is your
- 27:06Speaker 1: chance to correct it. Jesus, this is an interrogation or
- 27:11Speaker 1: a road trip. She's getting her back, She's getting your back.
- 27:15Speaker 1: We're talking about her on the podcast. Yep. And by
- 27:17Speaker 1: the way, somebody did tell me that there was a
- 27:19Speaker 1: different podcast other than The Dugger one that Lydia and
- 27:23Speaker 1: Zach were also on another podcast, another another of their ILK.
- 27:28Speaker 1: I don't know who the person was, gotcha, Lydia says,
- 27:33Speaker 1: I don't feel the need to correct it, and that's
- 27:35Speaker 1: not what happened. And I already corrected it with the
- 27:37Speaker 1: people that were there, like Amber, I already corrected it. Yeah,
- 27:41Speaker 1: And Kim goes, you know, I don't call up and
- 27:44Speaker 1: ask people's business, but people just tell me.
- 27:47Speaker 2: Okay, falls you do, and you want leverage against all
- 27:52Speaker 2: of your children, so you are asking for the dirt
- 27:55Speaker 2: on everyone.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Yes, so I'm talking to Lydia says, yeah, I'm taken
- 28:01Speaker 1: aback by this. I guess news travels fast. And I
- 28:05Speaker 1: did say something to Mariah about having alcohol there. You know,
- 28:08Speaker 1: Amper is still a minor, so is Isaac. Yeah, Isaac's plenty. Yeah.
- 28:15Speaker 1: And you know, someone turned on a show that had
- 28:17Speaker 1: more f bombs in one episode than I hear in
- 28:20Speaker 1: a week at work. So the card game was another
- 28:23Speaker 1: instance of just we weren't considered because you know, I
- 28:26Speaker 1: would never in a million years read that stuff out loud,
- 28:29Speaker 1: So it must have been like cards against humanity, which
- 28:31Speaker 1: is exactly yeah.
- 28:33Speaker 2: And all, okay, a couple of things. First of all,
- 28:36Speaker 2: this is rich because this is exactly what Kim did
- 28:39Speaker 2: to all of them for years, which is judge her
- 28:41Speaker 2: children in their lifestyle choices, including the grown ones and
- 28:45Speaker 2: her daughter in law, And so she has no leg
- 28:49Speaker 2: to stand on here, right b. I think the reason
- 28:53Speaker 2: Mariah would be so kind of obnoxiously oblivious to the
- 28:58Speaker 2: religious her religious sister's preferences, common sense would dictate what
- 29:04Speaker 2: you would do if you were hosting your very religious
- 29:09Speaker 2: sister and her husband. She is all this is all
- 29:13Speaker 2: trump stemming from the way she was treated when she
- 29:16Speaker 2: was younger. I think because she was so rejected when
- 29:21Speaker 2: she was younger by her parents and put down. And
- 29:25Speaker 2: if you've always felt unheard and judged in your family,
- 29:30Speaker 2: then when you grow up, you're gonna be like, fuck it,
- 29:33Speaker 2: I'm not gonna change for anybody. I don't care who's
- 29:35Speaker 2: in the room. I'm gonna walk around naked in front
- 29:37Speaker 2: of strangers and their children because I'm not gonna be
- 29:43Speaker 2: tamed anymore because I was judged my whole life, so
- 29:46Speaker 2: now I am gonna be aggressive in my not being
- 29:50Speaker 2: religious because you know what I'm saying, So I do.
- 29:55Speaker 2: I think this again is all Kim's fault. Basically, this
- 29:58Speaker 2: is a way for me to blame Kim for Mariah
- 30:02Speaker 2: acting this way. Now. I have no doubt Lydia and
- 30:04Speaker 2: Zach could have been pious and annoying. I have no
- 30:09Speaker 2: doubt about that, But I think Mariah would have had
- 30:12Speaker 2: more common sense just to you have your younger sister
- 30:15Speaker 2: who's sixteen there, and you have your very religious sister
- 30:19Speaker 2: Lydia and her husband there. You're not going to try
- 30:22Speaker 2: to serve alcohol. You're not going to try to play
- 30:24Speaker 2: Cards against humanity. Yeah, I don't play Cards against Humanity
- 30:28Speaker 2: with like my sister in law or I know I
- 30:33Speaker 2: have played it with my parents. We laugh about all
- 30:36Speaker 2: that stuff. But like if my brother was dating someone
- 30:39Speaker 2: who was kind of not comfortable with that sort of stuff,
- 30:44Speaker 2: we chose not to play in front of her because
- 30:47Speaker 2: she was uncomfortable, you know.
- 30:49Speaker 1: So Yes, I think that Mariah wanted to play Cards
- 30:52Speaker 1: against Humanity because she wanted to be fun with Mike,
- 30:56Speaker 1: Isaac and Caylin, but she didn't. Lydia is right, and
- 31:01Speaker 1: that they were not considered their feelings right, that they
- 31:04Speaker 1: would be offended by that, And there's fifty other things
- 31:08Speaker 1: they could have played, do you know what I mean?
- 31:10Speaker 2: And so and other movies and shows they could have watched.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and so I I do get Lydia's point,
- 31:20Speaker 1: but I also later on, Isaac makes a good point
- 31:23Speaker 1: of like, okay, but then you don't sit somebody down
- 31:25Speaker 1: and tell them that they're not God. They're not godly
- 31:29Speaker 1: and easy.
- 31:30Speaker 2: And we don't know if it was like us, let's
- 31:32Speaker 2: sit down so I can tell you about your behavior. Yeah,
- 31:35Speaker 2: could have been, or it could have been like a
- 31:39Speaker 2: common in passing, you know. Yeah, like we don't know
- 31:44Speaker 2: how they took it because they're always out to get Lydia.
- 31:47Speaker 2: So yeah, and they were all sat down at the
- 31:50Speaker 2: beginning of the season, so they're probably like, well, now
- 31:53Speaker 2: they're sitting us down again and telling us about our
- 31:57Speaker 2: you know.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I see both sides of this, I really do.
- 32:00Speaker 2: I do too. The third side, Kim should not be
- 32:04Speaker 2: in it, though she wasn't.
- 32:05Speaker 1: There wasn't all her. Yeah, so Lydia continues us to
- 32:10Speaker 1: talking about cards against Humanity, and she says, you know,
- 32:12Speaker 1: these things did bother us, and we thought it would
- 32:15Speaker 1: be nice if there was less of it, and we
- 32:18Speaker 1: brought it to Mariah because we want the best for
- 32:21Speaker 1: her and of course Amber and for me. For a
- 32:24Speaker 1: long time, being angry was hard, Like I just didn't
- 32:27Speaker 1: do that. And I've come to terms that righteous anger
- 32:31Speaker 1: can be okay and be a good thing. Righteous anger.
- 32:34Speaker 1: I don't like that term either.
- 32:36Speaker 2: No, but again, she's swinging the opposite way, just like
- 32:40Speaker 2: Mariah has. So Mariah went from being like shunned for
- 32:44Speaker 2: wearing a tank top to being like, I have a cold,
- 32:46Speaker 2: black heart and I'm wearing black lipstick and I'm gonna
- 32:50Speaker 2: wear underwear around town and I'm gonna, you know, get tattoos.
- 32:54Speaker 2: And Lydia was told she could never express how she's feeling,
- 32:58Speaker 2: so now she's just gonna tell everyone how she's feeling. Yeah,
- 33:02Speaker 2: I feel like you're not considering us right now because
- 33:05Speaker 2: of cards against humanity, and I'm mad about it, and
- 33:09Speaker 2: I am righteous in my you know, they're all go
- 33:13Speaker 2: in the different directions because of the way they were
- 33:16Speaker 2: raised to not have healthy communication.
- 33:19Speaker 1: I think Lydia and Zach unless it was only like
- 33:22Speaker 1: seven o'clock, if they pulled out cars and get speed
- 33:24Speaker 1: and he looked at You're like I don't want to
- 33:25Speaker 1: play this. I just would have been like, we're going
- 33:26Speaker 1: to bed, we'll see you tomorrow, And then it kind
- 33:28Speaker 1: of would have been in like the other people's court
- 33:31Speaker 1: to be like, oh gosh, we probably shouldn't have probably
- 33:34Speaker 1: should pick something out, like we'll tell them tomorrow, We're sorry,
- 33:37Speaker 1: you know.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Yeah, But I don't feel like they would have because
- 33:39Speaker 2: they barely were invited on this trip. I mean they
- 33:42Speaker 2: were invited on the last one, like the day of,
- 33:45Speaker 2: so that they wouldn't come.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Oh yeah, absolutely, y'all. Do you wake up at three am?
- 33:52Speaker 1: Your mind is spinning, You're completely unable to get back
- 33:55Speaker 1: to sleep? And why is it always three am? Do
- 33:59Speaker 1: you have brain fog? You walk into a room and
- 34:02Speaker 1: you forget, like what am I in here for? Am
- 34:04Speaker 1: I looking for my glasses? Am I looking for my keys?
- 34:06Speaker 1: Why did I come upstairs? Or do you lose your
- 34:10Speaker 1: train of thought mid sentence? It happens to me while
- 34:13Speaker 1: I'm podcasting. I'll say, hey, Kimberly, don't let me forget
- 34:16Speaker 1: to tell you about this thing, and then I forget
- 34:18Speaker 1: about the thing. You know. I feel like I'm always
- 34:20Speaker 1: trying to do everything right, but then I feel like
- 34:23Speaker 1: I'm running on empty. Do you guys feel this way?
- 34:26Speaker 1: So recently I've done a little research, some hashtag journalism,
- 34:30Speaker 1: if you will, and I learned that during perimenopause and menopause,
- 34:34Speaker 1: your hormone shift, and those shifts directly affect the magnesium
- 34:38Speaker 1: that your body depends on. When the magnesium runs low,
- 34:41Speaker 1: everything gets harder. Your sleep, your focus, your mood, your
- 34:45Speaker 1: stress tolerance, all of it. So that is why I
- 34:50Speaker 1: started the magnesium breakthrough by by Optimizers. Okay, I've added
- 34:54Speaker 1: it to my nightly routine. It has genuinely changed how
- 34:57Speaker 1: I feel. I'm getting so much better sleep. I'm a
- 35:00Speaker 1: little calmer. I wake up without that exhausted, rung out
- 35:04Speaker 1: feeling that I was like, Okay, I'm old, this is normal.
- 35:07Speaker 1: But what I really appreciate is not just the one
- 35:09Speaker 1: type of magnesium. It's a blend of seven, seven different
- 35:13Speaker 1: forms designed to support relaxation and your overall sleep quality
- 35:17Speaker 1: in a more complete way. So they suggest that you
- 35:20Speaker 1: take it with your nightly meal. So even if I
- 35:22Speaker 1: go out to dinner, I have it in my pocket.
- 35:24Speaker 1: I do not want to miss it. I genuinely feel
- 35:27Speaker 1: it has helped me so so much and the benefits,
- 35:30Speaker 1: like I said, are sleeping better, but it also has
- 35:33Speaker 1: benefits like less stress, better workout recovery, and even improved digestion,
- 35:38Speaker 1: which I always need. And you know, I don't like
- 35:41Speaker 1: to recommend anything unless I've tried it personally. So I'm
- 35:44Speaker 1: taking the magnesium breakthrough, and I want to invite you
- 35:47Speaker 1: to do this with me. Seriously.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Try it.
- 35:50Speaker 1: Track your sleep, pay attention to how you feel. See
- 35:53Speaker 1: if you wake up more rested and refreshed. You truly

- 36:49Speaker 1: slash pink Shade, use code pink Shade, and grab it
- 36:52Speaker 1: before it's gone. Make twenty twenty six the year you
- 36:56Speaker 1: finally start sleeping great again. So Lydia says, you know,
- 37:03Speaker 1: what I was saying to Mariah was just be careful
- 37:05Speaker 1: of what you're doing, because Amber really looks up to you.
- 37:08Speaker 1: And it's not that it's not good enough or not
- 37:11Speaker 1: strong in her religion. And you know, Amber is a
- 37:14Speaker 1: strong person and she won't just follow in one person's footsteps.
- 37:18Speaker 1: I mean, although it would be great if she just
- 37:19Speaker 1: followed in mine, not Mariah's. Now, and Kim says, listen,
- 37:24Speaker 1: there are eleven people in the family, and everybody needs
- 37:26Speaker 1: to accept each other because we're all not going to
- 37:28Speaker 1: be the same. So maybe there needs to be some
- 37:31Speaker 1: tolerance for somebody who might be drinking.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Or watching why bingo. That's why she's taking this as
- 37:39Speaker 2: a personal attack.
- 37:41Speaker 1: Yeah, By the way, we've seen Lydia and Zach have
- 37:45Speaker 1: a drink. Yeah, yeah, they've had drinks before. And last
- 37:50Speaker 1: year when Lydia and Zach went to Micah and Veronica's,
- 37:54Speaker 1: Veronica made this special drink and they kind of made
- 37:56Speaker 1: a joke like, oh, Lydia will be twenty one next week.
- 38:00Speaker 1: Lydia wasn't even twenty one. Yeah, So talking to Kim, says,
- 38:05Speaker 1: Lydia doesn't see a problem with them sitting people down
- 38:08Speaker 1: and correcting them, but everyone else there felt there was
- 38:11Speaker 1: a problem with it. So this is probably not done
- 38:14Speaker 1: as a topic. And Lydia says, we had a good
- 38:18Speaker 1: time in Montana, but once again we did not feel
- 38:21Speaker 1: considered and really anything we felt misunderstood. Again.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Okay, Kim, let your kids work out this.
- 38:30Speaker 1: Yeah, and then just let them tell you what happens.
- 38:32Speaker 2: You need to be the judge and hold some town
- 38:35Speaker 2: hall meeting so they can discuss it.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Yeah, well, then we don't have a show. So back
- 38:42Speaker 1: in kro U, Kim was telling us, you know, the
- 38:44Speaker 1: road trip was over. It was great with Lydia and
- 38:47Speaker 1: Barry is coming over today to talk about the trip
- 38:50Speaker 1: to see Ethan. Because even though we're divorced. We do
- 38:53Speaker 1: still need to communicate and we need to keep in
- 38:55Speaker 1: touch about the children and everything.
- 38:57Speaker 2: And we're parents. Have some wonderful chill, she says. And
- 39:01Speaker 2: I went and Ethan.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Kim. Are you happy that it was Kim Burley? Are
- 39:08Speaker 1: you happy to see the return of the juicer?
- 39:11Speaker 2: I thought we were done with it, and I was.
- 39:15Speaker 2: It was like a hanging thread that I needed to
- 39:19Speaker 2: be answered, Like it was one of the great mysteries
- 39:21Speaker 2: of lost that Mary Kane never watched. Now, who's right?
- 39:26Speaker 2: Who rightfully belongs to the juicer? Like we need Judge
- 39:30Speaker 2: Judy to come in.
- 39:32Speaker 1: Well, I think Barry conceded that it was her juicer.
- 39:35Speaker 2: She bought it, But like, was it when they were
- 39:38Speaker 2: married that she bought it?
- 39:39Speaker 1: Or is it a fifty year old juicer? I mean,
- 39:42Speaker 1: can we get a new one? I don't know. I
- 39:44Speaker 1: don't know.
- 39:45Speaker 2: Also return it's more likely to get use out of
- 39:48Speaker 2: the juicer. If she didn't use it. He didn't use it,
- 39:51Speaker 2: I said, I never got to use shocking. That is shocking.
- 39:56Speaker 2: But we don't know how much time has passed.
- 39:58Speaker 1: It could have been three days. We have no idea. Yeah,
- 40:02Speaker 1: so he brings the juice er and she's like, well,
- 40:04Speaker 1: thank god because it's mine. He's like, okay, here it is.
- 40:06Speaker 1: So kimm and Berry sit down and talk about the
- 40:10Speaker 1: Ethan and Tigan situation, and Kim says, well, do you
- 40:14Speaker 1: know why they broke up? And he says no, because
- 40:17Speaker 1: he's not curious, he doesn't ask.
- 40:19Speaker 2: And she says, well, yeah, she's using this to shove
- 40:22Speaker 2: it it. Well, I'm a more involved parent than you are.
- 40:25Speaker 2: I guess because I was there.
- 40:26Speaker 1: I talked to her.
- 40:28Speaker 2: I can tell you.
- 40:29Speaker 1: So she says they broke up, and then she explains
- 40:31Speaker 1: what happened to Ethan's birthday, that she drove five hours there,
- 40:34Speaker 1: got there to surprise him, and then he went in
- 40:38Speaker 1: the garage, went and talked to her, drove off, turned
- 40:41Speaker 1: off his phone for twelve hours, and she could not
- 40:44Speaker 1: find him, literally stranded her there. So then she just
- 40:46Speaker 1: drove home to Wisconsin. And Barry goes, well, yeah, wow,
- 40:52Speaker 1: poor girl. He literally left her hanging. He's you know, Ethan,
- 40:57Speaker 1: He's got a lot of a lot of things to
- 40:58Speaker 1: work through still, and Kim says, I feel like, you know,
- 41:02Speaker 1: after I talked to Tigan because I was there and
- 41:04Speaker 1: I talked to Teagan myself. I feel like she does
- 41:08Speaker 1: love Ethan, but I don't know if she thinks it's
- 41:10Speaker 1: possible to move forward with him.
- 41:13Speaker 2: She did not say she loved him or gave any indication.
- 41:16Speaker 2: She barely wants to be friends with him.
- 41:17Speaker 1: She said they were under the front level.
- 41:20Speaker 2: But you got from that that she loves him.
- 41:23Speaker 1: So the talkinghead Kim says, I felt awful for Tigan.
- 41:26Speaker 1: You know, she drove all that way to celebrate her
- 41:28Speaker 1: boyfriend's birthday. Then he left and she couldn't find him,
- 41:32Speaker 1: and then she had to drive all the way back
- 41:34Speaker 1: not knowing where he was or what was going on.
- 41:36Speaker 1: He turned off his phone for twelve hours. So Kim
- 41:40Speaker 1: says to Barry, Ethan needs to learn some basic basic
- 41:44Speaker 1: communication skills, and Barry goes, yep, and this situation was teakeing.
- 41:49Speaker 1: It just he might need more time and this may
- 41:51Speaker 1: not be the right fit. And the talkinghead Barry says,
- 41:55Speaker 1: Ethan needs to work on Ethan. He gets triggered by things,
- 41:59Speaker 1: and I don't know what the solution is. I don't
- 42:02Speaker 1: think it's healthy for him to try to make this
- 42:03Speaker 1: relationship work when he's in this psychological mindset. Yeah, he
- 42:08Speaker 1: Craig Gray. Okay, we saw how he acted it Thanksgiving.
- 42:11Speaker 1: It's like an asshole to everybody for no reason, and.
- 42:15Speaker 2: It's not fair to tea again.
- 42:16Speaker 1: Mm hmm.
- 42:17Speaker 2: You should break up while you are figuring yourself out.
- 42:20Speaker 2: It's not like you're married already. Right, Yes, she has
- 42:24Speaker 2: a child, Like, let her live her life while you
- 42:28Speaker 2: figure your shit outthan.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Kim says, well, Barry, neither one of us are the
- 42:33Speaker 1: best communication communicators. You know, I had to talk to
- 42:37Speaker 1: Ethan about sex the night before his wedding because you
- 42:40Speaker 1: never talked to him about sex, and Barry goes, yeah, right.
- 42:45Speaker 1: We see the clip of him telling his buddies, which
- 42:47Speaker 1: I just covered over on the rewatch of him telling
- 42:50Speaker 1: his buddies about his mom the night before he got married,
- 42:54Speaker 1: was like, there's two holes, make sure you find the
- 42:57Speaker 1: right one.
- 42:58Speaker 2: This is horrible, but also such a stark difference between
- 43:02Speaker 2: current moody I'm about to shoot up a school Ethan
- 43:06Speaker 2: and giggling Ethan. He's giggling, giggling.
- 43:13Speaker 1: That that when he's shifted between season two and three.
- 43:18Speaker 2: Yeah, too dark to dark.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I mean, Keisha just is like, where is that nice goofball?
- 43:24Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 43:25Speaker 1: Yeah, so Kim says to Barry, you know, usually I
- 43:29Speaker 1: get blamed for being a bad communicator more than you do.
- 43:34Speaker 2: And he goes, right, why is just this could have
- 43:38Speaker 2: been a nice conversation.
- 43:40Speaker 1: From the Yeah, I'm blatty.
- 43:44Speaker 2: Yeah, he says, just like a platypus, and which is,
- 43:48Speaker 2: let's just pretend it's like a duck and it's I
- 43:51Speaker 2: don't know what the similarities are, but like or it's
- 43:58Speaker 2: letting things run right off his back. That's what That's
- 44:02Speaker 2: what Platti does, is when Kim is throwing these kind
- 44:05Speaker 2: of shots at him or like I was there because
- 44:08Speaker 2: I was there, I was there, you know, He's like,
- 44:10Speaker 2: uh huh. He doesn't throw back at all. He just
- 44:14Speaker 2: like I have the gym, I have an outlet.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I do. She can.
- 44:18Speaker 2: She feels self conscious, so she can throw strays at
- 44:21Speaker 2: me all she wants. It's fine.
- 44:23Speaker 1: But this is what he did last season too, when
- 44:26Speaker 1: he came over and she was like, we've got to
- 44:27Speaker 1: talk about child support, like I am max up my
- 44:30Speaker 1: credit cards, like I can't live, and he goes, yes,
- 44:33Speaker 1: too bad, stare.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Life is hard. It's tough for you, and I won't
- 44:38Speaker 2: defend that platty.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I think we know that she spends recklessly and has
- 44:46Speaker 1: ideas and spends money. And then can't I think, yeah,
- 44:50Speaker 1: right in that, Yeah.
- 44:51Speaker 2: We don't know the whole story because she has a
- 44:55Speaker 2: history of the credit card stuff with Yeah we know, Yeah,
- 45:00Speaker 2: we don't know. But if he indeed he was not
- 45:03Speaker 2: paying all that he owed her that, it's not cool.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Yeah. So he says, right, I'm the bad communicator, that's right,
- 45:13Speaker 1: and Kim says, you know, Lydia flew into Wisconsin and
- 45:17Speaker 1: rode back with me, And Barry goes, oh, good, did
- 45:19Speaker 1: you hash out all the issues of life? And she says, well,
- 45:23Speaker 1: you know, Lydia posted something online recently about Joshua and
- 45:27Speaker 1: that's hard for me. She was blaming us, more so
- 45:31Speaker 1: me for the fact that we could not handle it afterwards,
- 45:35Speaker 1: But like, how can anybody be equipped to handle the
- 45:38Speaker 1: loss of a brother or a child? And he agrees,
- 45:42Speaker 1: and then talking to her, Barry says, in the beginning
- 45:45Speaker 1: after Joshua died, Kim could not talk about it. She
- 45:48Speaker 1: was in the storm of her own that she could
- 45:50Speaker 1: not get out of. She could not speak when that happened.
- 45:55Speaker 1: Lydia was four. You could talk about it with a
- 45:58Speaker 1: four year old. But what did they take away that?
- 46:00Speaker 1: So I don't know if this is fair of Lydia.
- 46:03Speaker 1: So that's interesting because he doesn't go against Lydia his
- 46:06Speaker 1: other wife.
- 46:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. Mm hmm. But the other children were older.
- 46:14Speaker 2: I mean, you have to say something. You can't just
- 46:16Speaker 2: ignore it and say, Mommy is in bed now for
- 46:20Speaker 2: the rest of the year, and your brother that was
- 46:23Speaker 2: here is just not here anymore. And you saw something
- 46:27Speaker 2: horrible and he went, you have to at least say
- 46:29Speaker 2: he went to heaven or something, right.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Sure they did, Oh, I'm sure they said all that. Yeah,
- 46:34Speaker 1: but I guess they were told like, let's don't talk
- 46:36Speaker 1: about it in the house because because mom's in the
- 46:38Speaker 1: bed can hear you, because the house.
- 46:39Speaker 2: Is not healthy. Four year old should be allowed to
- 46:42Speaker 2: say they missed their brother.
- 46:43Speaker 1: That's right on right. So Barry says to Kim, uh, yeah,
- 46:49Speaker 1: it can still sting and we all have to deal
- 46:52Speaker 1: with it, and Kim goes, I deal with the play
- 46:54Speaker 1: by play of that day every day of my life.
- 46:58Speaker 1: And the talking head Kim says, I hate that Lydia
- 47:01Speaker 1: is still dealing with that, especially since I was such
- 47:03Speaker 1: a big part of it. We both have scars and trauma.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I hate hearing that she's going through that, But I
- 47:10Speaker 1: also keep hearing about these things that Lydia and Zach
- 47:12Speaker 1: are saying to other people, and I feel that air
- 47:15Speaker 1: needs to be cleared.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Why did those two things don't have anything to do
- 47:18Speaker 2: with each other.
- 47:20Speaker 1: I think she wants the air to be cleared about
- 47:21Speaker 1: Lydia talking about her on the internet, and then she
- 47:25Speaker 1: wants the air to be cleared for Lydia and Zach
- 47:27Speaker 1: running their mouths to other people telling them they're not godly.
- 47:31Speaker 2: But I mean, I guess both issues could be create
- 47:34Speaker 2: similar because Lydia and Zach, or Lydia doesn't really know
- 47:39Speaker 2: how to communicate with her siblings about how she's feeling
- 47:43Speaker 2: because of all this stuff from when she was a kid,
- 47:47Speaker 2: which I still maintained she should be allowed to talk
- 47:49Speaker 2: about it on whatever podcast she wants to, but yes,
- 47:52Speaker 2: her child her childhood experience.
- 47:55Speaker 1: So I think a lot of these bowls down to
- 47:57Speaker 1: they all have all had various agreements of what they
- 47:59Speaker 1: do do not talk about publicly, and I think when
- 48:06Speaker 1: Kim got her Dui Olivia said that they none of
- 48:09Speaker 1: them ever mentioned it. Because if it's not mentioned on camera,
- 48:11Speaker 1: then they can't discuss it, so they all agreed not
- 48:14Speaker 1: to mention it.
- 48:15Speaker 2: M hm.
- 48:17Speaker 1: So Kim then says she's got him just right where
- 48:22Speaker 1: she wants him. She says, I also need to talk
- 48:24Speaker 1: to you about child aport. Child you've been giving me
- 48:28Speaker 1: half of what you owe me and he goes, it's
- 48:31Speaker 1: all I can afford.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Well, it looks like it's.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Rain and gotta go see you later. Run's out the door.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Kim says he's not paying the full amount until the
- 48:39Speaker 1: house sales, which obviously was their agreement that he would
- 48:43Speaker 1: pay half until the house sales and what's the household
- 48:45Speaker 1: then he would pay the full amount. And I don't
- 48:46Speaker 1: know if that means he has to pay the back,
- 48:49Speaker 1: he has to get it, get it up to speed
- 48:51Speaker 1: or what. But she goes, the house has been on
- 48:53Speaker 1: the market for a year.
- 48:55Speaker 2: So well, I don't know what the market is like there,
- 48:58Speaker 2: or are neither anywhere because I'm am a renter of
- 49:03Speaker 2: a little apartment. But I would imagine maybe he could
- 49:08Speaker 2: he needed to change the price right or fix some things.
- 49:13Speaker 1: Up the roof. Ever since they first showed that house, ever,
- 49:18Speaker 1: and I was like, wow, like that house is big
- 49:20Speaker 1: it's a really big house. Ever since they first ever
- 49:23Speaker 1: showed it, all I noticed is how shitty the roof is. Like,
- 49:26Speaker 1: that roof is place. The roof is always looks like
- 49:29Speaker 1: it's falling.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Well, Mary Payne, he's a platypus, so he can be
- 49:32Speaker 2: wet all the time. It doesn't matter. This is not
- 49:35Speaker 2: to bother him. Range goes right off his back.
- 49:40Speaker 1: You got to stop trying to make platypus happen.
- 49:43Speaker 2: It's platty, See platty.
- 49:47Speaker 1: I was thinking of platty, like plaid, like the color like.
- 49:53Speaker 2: I've never seen him wear plaid though, well I haven't either.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Okay. Two weeks later, at the Plath family home, the
- 50:01Speaker 1: one that is for sale, burries home, Isaac is outside
- 50:05Speaker 1: making benches. He started making benches on the side. Okay,
- 50:11Speaker 1: I thought he's going to be a pilot.
- 50:14Speaker 2: No, he went from pilot to peanut farmer to bench
- 50:18Speaker 2: maker for free for relatives. So it's a slow decline really,
- 50:24Speaker 2: from pilot to the farmer to bench maker for free.
- 50:30Speaker 1: It sure is his mom. He's making one for his
- 50:33Speaker 1: mom right now. She's gonna come by and take a look.
- 50:35Speaker 1: And Ethan is back home to visit now obviously Ethan
- 50:38Speaker 1: is home to visit to film. Yeah, okay, and Ethan
- 50:43Speaker 1: goes yes. Lydia and Zach's one year anniversary coming up,
- 50:45Speaker 1: So so that's why you came home. It's yeah, right,
- 50:50Speaker 1: my sister came to visit me for my anniversary.
- 50:53Speaker 2: What.
- 50:54Speaker 1: Yeah, So since he's there to film and he's got
- 50:57Speaker 1: his ever ever present thermos, it's never out of his hand,
- 51:03Speaker 1: never has one minute without that thermos.
- 51:06Speaker 2: By the way, I keep seeing more and more posts
- 51:10Speaker 2: on Reddit about what Olivia said. Did Olivia say to
- 51:14Speaker 2: you that Teagan's baby daddy had reached out to her?
- 51:21Speaker 1: She said no, she said it on another podcast. I
- 51:23Speaker 1: can't remember which one. She said it on another podcast.
- 51:25Speaker 2: So that's that is making the rounds again. There's like
- 51:29Speaker 2: a bunch of new articles as if that just happened,
- 51:31Speaker 2: even though Teagan is with someone else, but about a
- 51:35Speaker 2: custody change in their custody agreement maybe, and perhaps that
- 51:40Speaker 2: why he is why he wasn't allowed in the home
- 51:43Speaker 2: over Christmas. Basically, people are stealing our theories.
- 51:47Speaker 1: But I mean that that's our theory because Mom mentioned
- 51:51Speaker 1: the kid. Teagan mentioned the kid like I'm not going
- 51:55Speaker 1: to allow him in my home, and it's a privilege
- 51:58Speaker 1: that he was able to be around my child.
- 52:00Speaker 2: Or maybe he's not legally allowed around the kid anymore
- 52:03Speaker 2: because the dad changed the custody agreement.
- 52:06Speaker 1: Yeah, it could be. It could be that. What we
- 52:09Speaker 1: don't know, we don't know anything. We don't know. It's
- 52:11Speaker 1: all alleged. Okay. Kim arrives, hugs Ethan, huggs Isaac, and
- 52:17Speaker 1: Kim says, so, how are things going to Ethan? And
- 52:20Speaker 1: he goes, good, good, and he says, she says, how's
- 52:23Speaker 1: it going with Hegan? He goes, things are good, we're talking,
- 52:26Speaker 1: we've been spending time still just friends, and uh, she's
- 52:30Speaker 1: actually gonna come down next weekend to see everyone.
- 52:33Speaker 2: So she's required for another episode.
- 52:36Speaker 1: I think she must have been required to film three episodes,
- 52:38Speaker 1: don't you think three or four?
- 52:40Speaker 2: That's a brutal drive.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Well, hopefully driving. Hopefully she's yeahing hopefully productions flyinger in
- 52:49Speaker 1: the talking Head, he tells us Ethan Plath says, I
- 52:53Speaker 1: have found a therapist that I like.
- 53:02Speaker 2: And yet another na.
- 53:04Speaker 1: I can't say that that's going to be too miracles.
- 53:06Speaker 1: Miracles happened, so he says she he is a miracle worker.
- 53:13Speaker 1: He says, it's nice to have a neutral party where
- 53:16Speaker 1: they can give you pointers on how to deal with things.
- 53:19Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes, okay.
- 53:23Speaker 1: So Isaac and Ethan and Kim talk about the drive
- 53:27Speaker 1: back with Lydia, and Kim is as per Usu stirred
- 53:31Speaker 1: the pot gossiping about her own children with her other children,
- 53:35Speaker 1: and she says, you know, I talked to Lydia about
- 53:37Speaker 1: Zach telling Mariah she should not be drinking. I mean,
- 53:41Speaker 1: I drink around Zach all the time. He's never told
- 53:43Speaker 1: me I shouldn't drink. I'd love for him to try.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Oh my god, you need someone to tell you Ken
- 53:50Speaker 2: told you to stop drinking. Uh.
- 53:54Speaker 1: I think another underlying thing that we're not saying here
- 53:57Speaker 1: is that Mariah is rumored allegedly two have had some
- 54:01Speaker 1: sort of substance abuse issue, right, And perhaps that is
- 54:06Speaker 1: why Lydia and Zach are like, hey, maybebe you shouldn't
- 54:10Speaker 1: have a ball in the house.
- 54:11Speaker 2: Part of your sobriety. Exactly.
- 54:14Speaker 1: Yeah, And if you recall the last two episodes, Mariah
- 54:18Speaker 1: was the only one drinking and they all ordered hot coco.
- 54:21Speaker 1: She ordered It's like, oh, now I felt bad, So
- 54:23Speaker 1: perhaps it has something to do with that. It has
- 54:25Speaker 1: nothing to do with Amber.
- 54:27Speaker 2: Or she was drunk in front of Amber, and that's
- 54:31Speaker 2: why it's like Amber really looks up to you. Maybe
- 54:35Speaker 2: you should be showing her that you don't need to
- 54:37Speaker 2: be wasted to have a good time when you're tenging
- 54:40Speaker 2: it out with your siblings.
- 54:42Speaker 1: Yeah, I think a lot of that could be underlining
- 54:45Speaker 1: what they're not saying.
- 54:47Speaker 2: So yeah, I did, like, yeah, I really don't feel
- 54:49Speaker 2: like we have the whole story, and.
- 54:51Speaker 1: That's usually how it goes. Yep, so Ethan says, yeah.
- 54:56Speaker 1: And they also told Mariah that the TV she was
- 54:59Speaker 1: watching didn't honor God, and that her card game didn't
- 55:02Speaker 1: honor God, Like she brought you into her home for
- 55:06Speaker 1: a week and loaned you her car, and now you
- 55:08Speaker 1: want to sit her down and tell her what she's
- 55:10Speaker 1: doing in her house is not honoring God.
- 55:14Speaker 2: Okay, But by the same token, just because you let
- 55:16Speaker 2: your siblings borrow your car for a weekend doesn't mean
- 55:19Speaker 2: you can start talking about glory holes and boners in
- 55:23Speaker 2: front of them, like, which is what that game is.
- 55:27Speaker 2: And I love that game, but it's really bad if
- 55:31Speaker 2: that If you're Lydia.
- 55:33Speaker 1: And Isaac goes yeah, in Montana. It was interesting he
- 55:36Speaker 1: would only talk to the girls about this stuff when
- 55:39Speaker 1: I was away. So and the talkinghead Isaac said, is
- 55:45Speaker 1: that coincidence? And the talkinghead Isaac says, when I was
- 55:49Speaker 1: not around, Zach was telling them, Uh, Mariah should not
- 55:53Speaker 1: be doing this or that, or Mariah should not listen
- 55:55Speaker 1: to certain music. And any normal person would know their place,
- 55:59Speaker 1: And even if they don't personally agree with something, it's
- 56:02Speaker 1: not your place to tell them what they can and
- 56:04Speaker 1: cannot do when you're being welcomed into their home. Now
- 56:06Speaker 1: that I agree with, A normal person would know. However,
- 56:11Speaker 1: if it is your sister and your other sister is there,
- 56:14Speaker 1: and you're drunk and you're this, and you're that, you
- 56:16Speaker 1: might want to.
- 56:17Speaker 2: Be like, girl, she's sixteen, Can you just chill? You
- 56:20Speaker 2: know what? Keep playing like Nicki Minaj, like wap or wap.
- 56:26Speaker 2: However you say that song? Yeah, like was that what
- 56:29Speaker 2: she was playing? What kind of music was it? You know?
- 56:32Speaker 1: Where I mean we know that now they've got that
- 56:36Speaker 1: jukebox in the house and Amber can play the opening
- 56:40Speaker 1: chords of Jump by Van Halen from nineteen eighty.
- 56:43Speaker 2: Four, right, But is that the same as a Nicki
- 56:46Speaker 2: Minaj song.
- 56:48Speaker 1: No, I don't know what. I don't know. I know
- 56:51Speaker 1: Mariah really likes country music, so I don't know what
- 56:53Speaker 1: she was listening to that was so offensive to Lydia
- 56:56Speaker 1: and Dak. But the whole point is there is definitely
- 56:58Speaker 1: something else here going going on. Yeah, there's definitely something
- 57:04Speaker 1: else you're going on. So Ethan goes, this makes me
- 57:08Speaker 1: so mad.
- 57:09Speaker 2: You're like, oh, oh, oh, oh God, can we hate
- 57:13Speaker 2: crimes at eight?
- 57:15Speaker 1: Hate crimes of eight?
- 57:16Speaker 2: Oh?
- 57:16Speaker 1: No, he's mad, And Kim says, I mean, and this
- 57:22Speaker 1: just this is the most Kim Kim kim Plath thing
- 57:26Speaker 1: that Kim Plath has ever said. Kim says, I mean,
- 57:29Speaker 1: if we're all supposed to be living our lives doing
- 57:32Speaker 1: everything that honors God, well, I mean it has to
- 57:34Speaker 1: come from within, am I Right? Look, look, look, look,
- 57:37Speaker 1: I mean this is just what you raised Lydia. You
- 57:42Speaker 1: wanted every one of your children to be like Lydia. Yeah,
- 57:46Speaker 1: she wanted every kid to be just like Lydia.
- 57:48Speaker 2: Yep.
- 57:49Speaker 1: And now she's mad that Lydia is Lydia.
- 57:52Speaker 2: Yep. And you're also complaining about one of your children
- 57:57Speaker 2: to your other children, which always all agreed at the
- 58:01Speaker 2: beginning of the season that you weren't gonna talk about
- 58:03Speaker 2: each other behind each other's facts and nice, Yeah, say,
- 58:07Speaker 2: it's your face, and you are such a triangulating bitch
- 58:11Speaker 2: that you are like trying to play your children against
- 58:15Speaker 2: each other like you're on a pool table, and it's
- 58:20Speaker 2: so gross. Also, Ethan, shut the fuck up. You don't
- 58:25Speaker 2: like Zach and Lydia judging Mariah's behavior much like you
- 58:30Speaker 2: judged Zach and his sexuality all last season.
- 58:35Speaker 1: Yes, it's terrible. And you know the thing that Olivia
- 58:39Speaker 1: said with me, it said to me a long time
- 58:41Speaker 1: ago that always stuck with me was kim picks the
- 58:44Speaker 1: child that best serves her at that moment. So Ethan
- 58:46Speaker 1: and Isaac are serving because Isaac got to witness something,
- 58:51Speaker 1: and so he's like, they're like Ethan and Isaac on
- 58:54Speaker 1: my side, and they said Lydia and Lydia should definitely
- 58:57Speaker 1: not be talking publicly about Joshua, right, So she's getting
- 59:01Speaker 1: people against.
- 59:02Speaker 2: The other jnions. I get gather up my team on
- 59:06Speaker 2: my side and then I play them off each other.
- 59:09Speaker 2: Isaac happened to be there and had a grudge against Lydia.
- 59:13Speaker 2: Ethan just has a rage temper. So you can fling
- 59:17Speaker 2: that that pool ball whoever you want it against. If
- 59:22Speaker 2: you want it to be against Berry, you could swing
- 59:24Speaker 2: it against Barry, but he she wants it against Lydia
- 59:27Speaker 2: right now.
- 59:28Speaker 1: So she's mad at Lydia for talking publicly about the
- 59:31Speaker 1: Joshua thing. So that's where all this comes from.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Yeah, so and the Lydia criticizing her about that, the
- 59:40Speaker 2: colors of the wedding. I think she's still not over
- 59:43Speaker 2: that whole thing.
- 59:44Speaker 1: Hunter Green. She never wanted Hunter Green, She's never don't
- 59:50Speaker 1: she'd like Hunt Green.
- 59:52Speaker 2: Also a side note, I hate to be a bitch,
- 59:54Speaker 2: but there's no way that bench is going to be
- 59:56Speaker 2: comfortable for Kim. It is straight up, it was straight up.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: It's very small, like not comfortable enough for two people.
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: So it definitely los like for two very thin teenagers.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: Very thin teenagers, but certainly not Kim and Ken just
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: maybe Kim.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: No, not either one.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: So she's gonna need a cushion she's got Well, we.
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: All need a cushion, so so Ethan. So that's what
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Kim says, the thing about honoring God, and Isaac says, yeah,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: I mean that's between you and God, and it's not
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: for somebody else to point out the details of what
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: you're doing wrong. The Bible says, focus on the log
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: in your eye before you point out the speck and
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: someone else's.
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: Yes, but your parents taught you that you can call
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: someone else a colgate demon if you don't agree with
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: the toothpaste they use. And so they taught you to
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: go against the Bible and to judge everyone else who's
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: not being as holy and not let the children associate
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: with people who are not being holy enough.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Right again, Lydia is sample that Lydia is Kim's creation. Yes,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: and Kim wanted all her children to be just like Lydia,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and now she got the one that she wanted to
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: be like her. And because she changed her mind, now
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Lydia are right. Yeah, so Kim says, you know, I
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: can see a younger me and Lydia and Zach. You know,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: they're full of zeal and passion about their faith. And
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: I am still like that, but it's aged and mellowed,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: much like a fine wine, and it's a calmer, more
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: adult version. That's not what this is. No, you changed
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: your mind and wanted to wear scords and drink, so
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: I'm talking to Ethan says that whole self righteous I'm
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: better than you and I'm here to guide you and
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: using God to control other people. And Isaac goes, well,
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: that happens a lot in Christianity, and that makes me
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: sick because they're going to have to answer to him
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: one day about that, and Ethan says, and about the
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Joshua thing. Lydia and Zach don't just like talk to
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: their friends. They go on a public platform and talk
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: about the most hurtful, dark times of my mom's life.
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: And Isaac says in extreme detail, and Ethan goes, I
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: can understand where my mom is coming from, especially because
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: they said no one's allowed to talk about them and
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: they won't tolerate it, and Isaac goes, maybe we missed
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: some fine print.
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: So that's a good point. Lydia and Zach said, talk
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: shit to our faces, don't be talking about us, which
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: is exactly what the family is doing right now, which
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: is not cool. But also, yeah, they went on podcasts
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: and aired out family laundry that you apparently weren't supposed
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: to talk about they.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Had agreed not to. I think, yeah, yeah, So Kim
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: says you know, Lydia and I also talked about how
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: she thinks I've been coping with Joshua's death, and you know,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: for her talking about that, that's the most intimate personal
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: stuff about me that she can say. She was blaming
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: me for not equipping her to deal with it and
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: I couldn't deal with it then and I still can't.
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: I'm not equipped to deal with it now. And Isaac goes, Mom,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I think you did good. You went through all that
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: and you raised nine kids. Talking to Kim goes, that
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: is the first time Isaac has said that to me,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: and it means a lot. You know, it's hard for
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: me to talk about Joshua, and I know Lydia wants
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: to talk about it.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: So you have just Isaac reiterated this cycle, which is
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: by talking about your other children, you inadvertently get compliments
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: from the two children that you are using right now.
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: Right So she's going to keep doing it because she
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: got Harry Ego fed that she can.
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: And Isaac both said also would agree.
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Something Something else just occurred to me too, is if
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: you don't want your child to be talking about your
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: dirty laundry and a public platform, you maybe should not
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: have put them on TV when they were underage and
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: could not consent to it, so you air their childhood
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: on TV.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: They she thought they were all going to turn out
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: like Lydia, but then they didn't.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: But again, Lydia was underage. She did not consent. She
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: could not consent to be on this TV show. She
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: had stuff about her horrible singing and her prayer closet
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: still talked about on TV and both are still Yeah,
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: maybe we don't know, but it aired herself out there
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: for public scrutiny where people could make fun of her
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: singing in the woods, being barefoot and rubbing up against
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: yourself in a prayer closet. And so you did that.
- 1:04:37Speaker 2: So now she has a public platform and she can
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: use that to talk about her childhood. Yeah, and it
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: doesn't get to be on your terms because none of
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: it was on the children's terms. Well, right, where sign
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: them up for a TV show? Right?
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: It's when Kim decides to change her mind and go
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: back to like ultra Christianity, everyone's gonna need to fall
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: in line on that too. So says she has an
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: appointment to talk to a counselor. She says, maybe the
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: counselor can help me with my grieving. But I really
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: feel like it's a scab that I do not want
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: to pick open, which I hate when people say that.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: She says, but maybe the counselor can help me find
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: a way to talk about it that's not so painful,
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: and Ethan says, listen, if you never want to talk
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: to me about it, I'm fine with it. Well we know, yeah,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: he says, because I can't even imagine going through that.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: And you know, Lydia was not.
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: Unless that child was gay and then and then if
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: they died or I kicked him out of the house.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: All right, again, he said it.
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: I know Lydia he did this is a little bit
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: not nice towards Kim. Here, he says, Lydia is not
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: the one that accidentally caused this. I mean you're the
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: one that had to live with it and deal with it.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: I mean it's true, no one else.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: So Kim says. Seeing it all online ripped everything open,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: all the pain. So Kim says to the boys, yeah,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: And Lydia was also speculating that our divorce has something
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: to do with Joshua, and it had nothing to do
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: with that at all. And Isaac goes look, I'm just
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: trying to be on good terms with everybody. And Ethan says,
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: if Lydia is doing that to process and heal, there's
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: no healing in that, she's gonna make it worse. Oh,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: Ethan's been to therapy one time, and now he knows
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: one time.
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: He knows that you just let sleeping dogs lie and
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: you never talk about them again.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Yeah, And Kim says, I think we should all meet
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: with Lydia and Zach because yes, let's end the season
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: the way we began it.
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: So it's gonna be like, happy anniversary, stop talking about us.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Party at the anniversary one year and then they're gonna
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: be like, and you see that U haul. We're moving
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: to Colorado. Okay, we're in Thomasville, Georgia. Kim slowly dramatically
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: walks into a therapist's office. This was Micah's therapist, Doctor Tye.
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: Is this the one he saw with Veronica? Uh huh
- 1:06:59Speaker 2: during the chief.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: Who was cheating? He was cheating? I was like, oh yeah,
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: just oh yeah. When she was like going like he
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: thinks that was in the Bible and laughing at him
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: and stuff. She was so awful. Doctor ty could not
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: heal Veronica. So Kim talks to doctor Tye, and obviously
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: they have spoken before, in my opinion, and she says
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: that they lost a son in two thousand and eight.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: He was seventeen months old. She explains how it happened,
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: and she says, initially I was unable to talk about it.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: I was very shut down, and now I'm trying to
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: navigate that one of my adult daughters was online blaming
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: me that I didn't give her the tools to deal
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: with it, and hearing Lydia's play by play of that
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: day was too painful. I couldn't listen to it. And
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: we're going to have a family meeting soon and I
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: want to know how we can all talk about this.
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: And the talking head, Tye, says Kim is dealing with
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: guilt and shame that her daughter is putting her own
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: blast and making Kim think, Wow, these bad things I
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: think about myself may actually be true. Yep, And she's
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: really struggling. And ty also tells Kim, she says, your
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: daughter wants something from you. She's doing this because she
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: wants something from you.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Kim explains that she was pregnant with Amber when Joshua
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: had died. So if I'm looking at my list here,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: if Lydia was four, Isaac was three, Josha was seventeen months,
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: and she was pregnant with Amber. Wow, so it's a
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: lot of kids. And she says she really thought when
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: Amber was born it would get better, but it didn't.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: It got worse.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: She couldn't look at Amber, she couldn't sing to her.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: She would hold her a nurser, but that was it.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: So someone else was doing all the other child.
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: I would say to her it would be Hoseannah probably yeah,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: because his Sannah would be uh born in ninety nine
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: and Lydia was born, so Hosannah would have been it
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: goes ethan Hosannah, Micah, Mariah Lydia. So if Lydia was four,
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: Hosannah was like eight, so Hoseanah was taking care of
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: that baby. So she says she couldn't so I beg
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: to think about how that makes Amber feel?
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: Oh horrible. Amber's now can have to watch this and
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: then cycle is gonna continue? Yeah, I said, if you
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: ever talked to Amber about this, right, And she says,
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: you know, and I know how hard this hurt Lydia.
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: And it's hard to know that I inflicted this same
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: pain on all my children and they all have to
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: feel it. Like sometimes it's more than I can bear.
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: It's too much to bear thinking how much something I
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: did hurt everybody. So I think that that was like
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: a real moment from Kim, And I think there's interesting
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: that Ty said Kim is having to look at what
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: somebody else is saying about her and thinking, Wow, maybe
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: I am a bad person, right, you know? Like so
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: I don't know, are we going to wrap up this
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: season with a with a Kim has come to her
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: senses or.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: No, because when they all start to say their experiences
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: around Joshua, Kim's going to get defensive again. She I
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: think is incapable of taking full responsibility for something without
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: a qualifier. But how could anyone be prepared for such
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: a thing? But I did the best I could. Just
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: a blanket. I'm sorry.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: Like right, so next time on which is the season finale,
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Kim calls Lydia and says, I know you want to
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: talk to me with everyone about Joshua, and I'm ready
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: to do that. Lydia is like all right. Lydia's like, oh,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: we're walking into an ambush. Yeah, Ethan says, I hope
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: I can keep myself composed. There things about them that
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: just get under my skin, especially that gay one. Teagan says,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: and again, oh and Teagan is there?
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: Why why? So? Yeah, losing your temper again in front
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: of Teagan and it's gonna repeat of last season.
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: Why is Tigan there?
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: She she's not owed an apology, Like do you know
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: what I mean?
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: Like she she has no beef with the family. Yeah, Like,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: I don't know why Teagan is there? M m. They
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: already were questioning why did you come to Montana? Like now,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: why are you coming to fucking.
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: Kro to talk about our brother that died?
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: So taking and Ethan in the car and we get
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: a talking ahead of Tegan, and she says, Ethan's a
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: wild card. He may confront Zach because he's very protective
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: of me. So you know, Ethan doesn't like that Zach
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: said I heard that you gave her money. He doesn't
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: like that Zach was trying to talk to him about Teagan,
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: like how dare he?
- 1:12:04Speaker 2: So it is a pattern with Zach in the conversation
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: with when Barry was standing by playing bouncing.
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: That too, that too, that too. But when Ethan was
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: working on the car ins actors like work in the car.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: You gave her money and she didn't reciprocate, and the family's.
- 1:12:22Speaker 2: Oh, right, right, right, Like why did Ethan tell Teakan
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: that did? He tells Hegan that I don't know.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: He says, he's very protective of me. I don't.
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: I don't feel like this is about you, Teagan that
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: I feel like, let me tell you. I don't. He's
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: more mad about the Mariah thing with Zach and Lydia.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: We see everybody sit down to talk, including Kean and Barry.
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: You know who's not there, Mike, where is Micah? Get
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: that hot man back on my screen? I am furious
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: he needs.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: The money we've lost to Micah and we've gained a
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: ken in every scene, So like that's a that's a
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: net loss, that's a.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Loss, lose lose. So we see Mariah is there and
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: she is like bringing people beverages and goes, I'll just
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: be in the kitchen. She skid hes off to the
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: kitchen and she's.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: Like, I have alopecia. Mistress does not need this. I
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: don't need to be here.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: I don't want to be judged for having a cocktail.
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: So I'm going to drink alone in the kitchen like
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: my mother, and I'm talking to her. She goes, I
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: didn't feel the need to be a part of all that,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: but I mean him, Zach saying this uff to her
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: is part of the story.
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: You're part of it. Yeah, but and she obviously told them,
- 1:13:44Speaker 2: So you spread that shit that you had with them,
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: and then you're leaving the conversation. It doesn't want to
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: be a part of it, right, But you started this
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: by telling everyone what Zach said to.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: You, right, so's you're gonna let everyone fight your battles
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: for you. Ethan with his thermos, says Zach. All the
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: critiques you give to the younger kids and to Mariah
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: and to me about her taken, I feel like it's
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: an overstep. And then we have a talking head with
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Zach and Lydia, and Zach goes, oh, okay, I'm the
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: problem for the whole family. Got it? Cool? You got it?
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: They were doing great until I came along.
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm now I'm the problem, okay.
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: And Lydia is just like before it was Olivia. Olivia
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: was the scapegoat for all of their problems. They were
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: a great perfect family before Olivia came. Yep, and now
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: it's Zach.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: Don't forget Ronica was also a problem.
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: I mean she was right, Yes she was.
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: She was. But again, in the words of Ronnie Caram,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: no woman drove herself crazy. You know, you know, I
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: think I think she started crazy and then he just
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: pushed her right over that cliff. And that's it. Guys.
