- 0:12[SPEAKER_02]: Could you please get off your phone?
- 0:13[SPEAKER_02]: We are, we are in front of people with guests over here.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_06]: I did not realize you were recording already.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_03]: We are recording already.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_06]: I'm a little bit, I just opened the Amazon, I was about to reply to somebody.
- 0:25[SPEAKER_03]: Are you about to reply right now?
- 0:26[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, look, I just opened it now.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_06]: She's gonna be like, now they're gonna think that I'm just, I just left them on the red.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, do you want to maybe record a voice message real quick?
- 0:36[SPEAKER_06]: Uh, on a second.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_02]: Are you gonna reply to that or not?
- 0:39[SPEAKER_06]: I already replied.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_06]: Sometimes a double tap is enough.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes it's a double tap.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, sometimes there's nothing else to say.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_06]: Like when you get a DM and you open, oh, you know what I hate.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_03]: When I'm about to talk about Instagram again.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, right.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_03]: When I'm about to do that again.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_06]: How did you guys like that episode?
- 0:55[SPEAKER_06]: I enjoyed it.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_03]: I had a good time.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_03]: I really liked it, especially because I feel like I live on the explore page.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_06]: And so many people are related.
- 1:03[SPEAKER_06]: I'm glad to hear that one day, if any boyfriends got in trouble because their girl was like, hey, let me see your face.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's funny because my friend Carolina, shout out to you because I know you're probably watching this right now.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_06]: Really?
- 1:15[SPEAKER_06]: How do you know?
- 1:15[SPEAKER_03]: Or we're not watching listening.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_06]: How do you know?
- 1:17[SPEAKER_03]: She's like, what's this to all the episodes?
- 1:18[SPEAKER_06]: She listened to the Instagram one.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_03]: I think, I don't know if she listened to her.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_03]: I think she listened to some of it, like she wasn't done.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, she was like, that's it too long.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_03]: That's a long story.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I would be curious.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_03]: I would be curious, like how long are people listening to pods?
- 1:33[SPEAKER_03]: Because now the audio ones are just so long.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_06]: I think it's not a way through.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_03]: We'll just be chilling over here.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_06]: I think people listen all the way through.
- 1:40[SPEAKER_03]: I wish I could explain the brain chemistry difference that happens between the audio episodes and when we had the video because you guys, I think you can explain it.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's like as if we're just chilling, like we're just here, we're catching up.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's so hard to explain.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_06]: Why is it so different?
- 2:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's so different.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_06]: But you know, it's crazy.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_06]: People tell me that they can hear it.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_06]: We can hear how relaxed you are in the audio episode.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't think we're were necessarily uptight.
- 2:11[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_06]: That's all just like colonists.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_06]: You mean to tell me that we were like not relaxed?
- 2:15[SPEAKER_03]: I just think we're not thinking about like okay, what am I wearing?
- 2:19[SPEAKER_03]: How am I sitting?
- 2:20[SPEAKER_03]: Not that we weren't necessarily overthinking that.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so what I think now there's like the freedom to not do any of that I don't have to set up I don't know something how come the They can hear cuz they can't see anything so they can hear the relaxness in our voices or in the conversation which should be the same even if those cameras are not
- 2:42[SPEAKER_06]: Something but I think you know what it is for me personally.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_06]: I get this you guys don't see how I'm sitting right now.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_06]: You're not sitting that that weird.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_06]: I would never sit like this during the regular part like even right now if I want to like right now standing up
- 2:57[SPEAKER_05]: Oh my god, I need those to do this.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_05]: So those to go like a different room.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_05]: Because we have our cords.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_05]: Oh, you know, we should get our cords to the to the to the mics are super long.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_06]: I'm pretty long, right?
- 3:06[SPEAKER_06]: But I think we should get some wireless mics.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_06]: So then like.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_05]: No, the colors are going to be that good.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_06]: I can be in the kitchen making a tea.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_03]: Now that we're crazy, we started like we're potting while we're making dinner.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_06]: It's like we're just having the evening and we're just talking.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you guys have come over for dinner and it's just the conversation happening across the kitchen island.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's like we're still prepping the chicken and the salad.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_06]: Why are we talking about chicken right now?
- 3:35[SPEAKER_03]: And then and then you as our guests are across just enjoying your glass of wine.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_03]: And we're just chopping it up.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_03]: I've been really using chopping it up as a term recently.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_06]: I'll be using enough of years.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_03]: No, I mean, I know.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_06]: You guys haven't used chopping it up.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_03]: Like, if you, if you, if you don't think in the US, like, you don't say that in Europe.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_06]: If you don't speak English, if you don't speak English or you're learning English, because actually, by the way, a lot of people listen to this learning English.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_06]: Like, I get so many DMs from people saying, I love the part and it helps me to learn English.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_02]: That's great.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_06]: And when I was learning English podcasting, it wasn't really a thing.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_06]: Otherwise, I would have been all over podcasting.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_06]: I used to watch YouTube videos.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_06]: Everything was in English.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_06]: I used to watch a lot of interviews.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_03]: Which is it?
- 4:22[SPEAKER_03]: Did you like to learn English?
- 4:24[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, specifically interviews, you know why, because I would listen to some, okay, here's a tip if you're learning English, listen to a lot of interviews, also listen to the podcast, of course, always.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_06]: But listen to interviews on YouTube.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_06]: And the way it helped me learn English is I would hear the way the questions were asked.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_06]: It's like the order of the words and then I would see how the person is responding because life is about answering questions if we really think about Yeah, I mean, it's not about that, but a lot of the sounds and you have conversations with people you're answering to something or like you go in like it's like how the back and forth yeah
- 5:02[SPEAKER_03]: exactly so it was the bath back and forth exactly that I used to love so do that okay well my tip for when I was learning English was the biggest thing it's easier to say now that I I mean sorry it was easier to do what I'm about to say when I was twelve thirteen years old compared to being you know like in your twenties or thirties
- 5:25[SPEAKER_03]: But it was just to like not be afraid to be wrong.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_03]: Like if you can get out of your head and not be scared that however you're going to say something and however you're going to pronounce it and the the order of the words
- 5:41[SPEAKER_03]: of your question or whatever you're going to say, the fear of being wrong is like, what's going to hold you back?
- 5:48[SPEAKER_03]: And that's going to hold you back from progressing and learning.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_03]: I thought that was one thing that I remember thinking to myself that I was even told like when I was younger when I moved to Canada and then I was like,
- 5:59[SPEAKER_03]: scared to talk and then I remember there's this one girl there was this one girl that she was so like cool and rebellious and kind of like I don't give a shit type energy I like that I forget her name but I can remember her she um and she had a very specific type of aura and I didn't expect her like she was the type of girl that you didn't expect to be nice to you
- 6:22[SPEAKER_03]: But out of nowhere, she was like, you just have to not care whether what you say is right or wrong.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_03]: You have to just like talk and your English will get better.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_03]: I could understand.
- 6:33[SPEAKER_03]: But I was just there was many times where I was just like, you could tell I would stop myself from even saying what I want to say because I would be scared of being wrong.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_03]: And I would like everything.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_06]: That was real.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and that, the fact that I have such a specific memory of her saying that to me, we were like, in the cafeteria, but not in like, we were in the lobby area.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_03]: And we were sitting at these tables, you know, during the summer, she just came up to you like, yo, bro.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_03]: I was in their class.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I was in there.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_03]: It was during summer school.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_03]: So I wasn't going to the school yet is when I was auditioning.
- 7:06[SPEAKER_03]: So my family had just moved to the US.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_03]: And then I, we moved in like August.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no, no, sorry.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_03]: This was right before I moved to the US.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_03]: We knew we were about to move to Seattle.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_03]: And we were moving sometime in August.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_03]: And I went to this summer school in Canada before I was actually going to the school.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_03]: It was kind of like an audition for three weeks.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_03]: And I was going to that.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_03]: And I think June, June or July.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_03]: And then I was.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_06]: So you were the first one to fly over?
- 7:35[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_03]: Um, no, and this is when I went to the summer school and I was supposed to be in the sixth grade or seventh grade.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_06]: Like, wow, it's called grade six or seven.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_03]: Sure, yeah, it is.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_03]: And then, um, but then I actually got moved up to the to the grade eight.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_06]: Why?
- 7:56[SPEAKER_03]: Because I was like so good.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_06]: Oh my god.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_03]: So the girls that I was talking to didn't even end up being in my grade when I ended up going to the school full time.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you wanted those early graduates?
- 8:07[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_03]: It was only in the beginning that I was really good and then everybody called me.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_06]: And then I dropped you.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_03]: No, they didn't drop me.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_03]: I was just like I was only in the beginning.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_03]: I was really good at the beginning.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_03]: I would say like I was just more advanced in like my ballet skills early.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but then, you know, later on.
- 8:26[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_06]: So I want to I kind of want, oh, actually, um, welcome back to the Los Angeles podcast guys.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_06]: My name is Yoni Cordo and my lovely host here.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_03]: and wife, my name is Alia Zaita.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_03]: And did you have something that you wanted to talk about?
- 8:41[SPEAKER_03]: Cause I have something that I wanted to talk about.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_06]: No, I have something I want to talk about.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_06]: And I want to kind of keep talking about this.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, but also I had an announcement.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_06]: Since you said wife, which she did is true, she didn't know.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_06]: We are married.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, it's fine.
- 8:54[SPEAKER_05]: Cause this is actually what I wanted to talk about.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yesterday, I finally got my ring.
- 9:02[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't know what ring you're talking about, you're so wetting.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_03]: You're wetting band.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, wetting band.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_03]: And what do you want it so well?
- 9:09[SPEAKER_06]: It's, uh, I mean, not for the whole episode.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_06]: But I just wanted to announce real quick that I got my ring and it's a good memory.
- 9:16[SPEAKER_06]: It's exactly the ring that I want it slightly, slightly too big, potentially.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_06]: Can I, can I finish my announcement?
- 9:24[SPEAKER_06]: It's a little bit too big.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_06]: I wanted to say that.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, sorry.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_06]: So
- 9:30[SPEAKER_06]: It's a size nine, but I think I needed a size eight and a half.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_06]: Which is very frustrating because I don't have patience for mistakes.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, we've been kind of going to have it with this ring.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't have patience for like, oh, actually it was this and actually you got to send it back and it's going to take another two weeks.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_06]: It's like your update for the shit.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yeah, but thanks take time.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_03]: I suppose because this is like a custom ring.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_06]: Exactly.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_06]: You said custom ring, but it sounds like it doesn't say it's not that fancy.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_06]: It's very simple, but it doesn't look like the traditional men's wedding band.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it doesn't look like that.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_06]: It is different because it's like around.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_06]: It's almost like fully around all the way around.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_03]: It's almost like a barrel.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, exactly.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_06]: I was going to say silver, but it's not silver.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_06]: It's a platinum.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_06]: And it looks great.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_06]: I'm really happy.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_05]: You need to be really excited to have this ring.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_05]: You want to tell us why you're so excited to have this ring?
- 10:29[SPEAKER_06]: I wanted to have this ring.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_06]: So then, you know, women can finally leave me alone.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_05]: Oh my God.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_06]: They can see that this man is married and he's taking forever.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_05]: He's taking.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and that's it, but someone stole me.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_06]: When you have a ring.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_06]: It attracts more people.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: What?
- 10:54[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_03]: What do you mean?
- 10:55[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not like you never heard the before.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_03]: I have never heard that.
- 10:58[SPEAKER_06]: People said, and I don't know if this is true or not, and I'm not saying this is going to happen.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_06]: Okay?
- 11:01[SPEAKER_06]: Like I'm good.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_06]: I don't need that.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, no, I would like this to see that what if this can be an experiment.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_06]: But people say that if if you know, if someone sees you have a ring, whether you're a man or woman, right?
- 11:12[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_03]: And you have like a wedding ring on the ring thing.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_06]: Exactly.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_06]: And you're somewhere out.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_06]: And your person is not there with you.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_06]: Some people say, and I've heard this many times before, even in movies, it's a real thing that it attracts people more to you because it shows loyalty.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_06]: Like it shows that you're committed.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_06]: And that's attractive to people.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_03]: I get that.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_06]: It's like, oh, shit, like this verse is like a good person.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_06]: You know like he's like he has a good heart or she has a good heart Okay, so automatically I feel like that applies maybe more to men automatically if I see it honestly to like even for me when I see other people wedding rings I was gonna say I'm like you like you're different like you're a different no no like you're a good person
- 11:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I'm not saying if you don't have it that you're not a girl person.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's not necessarily that if you don't have it that you're not a girl.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_03]: If someone has it, it adds a layer to that person without even talking or knowing what is that that layer means like you.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're committed.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_03]: They're not scared of commitment.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_03]: They're more like serious in their life like where they're
- 12:17[SPEAKER_06]: You're at a different point in your life.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_03]: Like you're also, it shows loyalty shows like you're trustworthy person.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_06]: It's a good step.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_03]: It shows that like you've been in a relationship with someone.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_03]: You, you have someone.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_06]: Trying to like, they do.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to like figure out what else to do.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_06]: No, but to me when I see someone with a wedding ring, I do think about like, they're like mature.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_06]: Like for some reason, I just trust them more.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_03]: No, I get it.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_06]: It's funny because I was just editing a video and I don't know if this fucked up or not I'm saying oh shout out to everybody who's not married.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I would this is not even about that But it's not even that if I see someone I don't even notice that someone doesn't have a ring I only notice if someone has a ring and then make conclusions based on that especially if it's a person that when you look at them
- 13:10[SPEAKER_03]: They're not giving that energy.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_03]: They're not giving energy that they would be a committed person in a relationship.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying this a plus to you or me at all.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_03]: I want to give the example that I went to this restaurant with my friend a couple days ago and it was like an open kitchen and the guy that was cooking like right in front of us, he had like a lot of tattoos.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_03]: He was kind of like
- 13:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's roughly looking, but he just kind of looked like a typical, if you watch the bear, he looked very typical.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_06]: I don't like where this is going.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_03]: What do you mean?
- 13:43[SPEAKER_06]: No, continue.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm just saying that he, I made a note in my mind about the fact that I was surprised to see he had a winning band on.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_07]: Why?
- 13:58[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly what you're trying to describe like there's something about I feel like because he looked so kind of like I don't know rubber on the edges Okay, you usually associate someone like that with you know It's like they're more rebellious or maybe they like aren't Tradition not traditional like not see okay, what I'm saying I don't like that okay, I don't I don't just because someone is tatted up
- 14:28[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, it wasn't just that.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_06]: It was the aura.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_06]: It was the aura.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_06]: It was the aura.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_06]: It was the aura.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_06]: It was the aura.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_06]: It was the aura.
- 14:36[SPEAKER_06]: It was the aura.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_06]: It was the aura.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_03]: It was the aura.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_03]: amazing scallops steak everything okay he was killing it too like way that he was just cooking in the kitchen so you caught yourself looking at his ring and being like wow like what was going through your mind like you're just like damn that's so cool that he is married
- 15:03[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know why I don't know what to say to them.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know how to explain it, but I just, as I was adding the video to, I just remember looking at him as a person and thinking like, wow, he's such a typical, like, tad it up, chef vibe.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, which is cool.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_03]: Which is cool.
- 15:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and now I'm not the restaurant chef culture shit.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I love all that.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_03]: And then to see that he had a very simple traditional wedding band on.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_03]: Then I was like, Oh, shit.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_03]: Like I wonder what your wife is like, I mean, if it's a wife, it could be a husband.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_06]: I get it.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_06]: And I appreciate your honest.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_06]: This is very honest to share because
- 15:42[SPEAKER_03]: What do you think someone's gonna think of?
- 15:43[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, no, because someone can listen to this and feel maybe judged in what way?
- 15:49[SPEAKER_06]: In what way?
- 15:49[SPEAKER_06]: Like, let's just someone listen to this and they're tied up.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_03]: And they feel like... I looked at it too.
- 15:54[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I know, but you said your surprise that they're married is like, as if someone who has tattoos is not supposed to be married.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_03]: So I just... That's not even... I have tattoos.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_03]: I'm even talking about that.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_06]: Hmm.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_03]: okay that's not that's not what i mean i just meant that guy specifically i can't paint you a picture of that guy yeah but it's just like that's just my personal impression
- 16:17[SPEAKER_06]: Now I get, I get it because sometimes I know everybody knows, actually everybody knows what you're meant by what you say.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_03]: Well, there's just what I'm talking about.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_03]: And it's not even a negative way.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_03]: Like it's not a, it's not like, oh, you know what I heard.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_03]: He also looked young.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like it was just, I don't know.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_03]: He looked really young.
- 16:35[SPEAKER_03]: Like his face was like young guy, which is why another thing.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_03]: He was like the typical New York, like young guy who was like cooking up at the kitchen.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_03]: He's just like, I don't know.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_03]: He was grinding.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_03]: He was like grinding.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_03]: He was like sweaty.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_03]: He was like cooking those scallops.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: He was like just in his own.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, what are you into?
- 16:55[SPEAKER_06]: What's up?
- 16:55[SPEAKER_06]: Do you know what is this going?
- 16:57[SPEAKER_03]: No, he was just like right across from from I said it was an open kitchen.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_03]: So we were constantly looking to see like what ingredients he's using.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: You know, like my friend and I were big foodies.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_03]: So we were just like, oh, look at what he's putting on the
- 17:09[SPEAKER_03]: on the, on the, okay, okay.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_06]: I guess I miss on the story a little bit, which we're saying.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_06]: Let's say my bad.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not judging anybody that has a lot of tattoos.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm trying to get more tattoos.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to get more tattoos.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_03]: And I have like cute little tattoos, you know how like big ones, but still, I don't, I don't judge anybody for having a hell of tattoos.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_06]: I'm trying to get to big ones, the traditional tattoos.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_06]: I'm trying to get some of my leg.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_06]: I'm trying to get some like, oh my, oh.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm trying to get some of my leg.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 17:38[SPEAKER_06]: You want me to get an egg that?
- 17:40[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_03]: But I want to talk about, I think this would actually be really interesting because I don't think if we talked about this much.
- 17:47[SPEAKER_03]: Why?
- 17:48[SPEAKER_03]: Because if you don't know, we've been married for almost four years.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_03]: November, eighteenth is our anniversary and will be made for four years this year.
- 17:58[SPEAKER_06]: Four years is great.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_03]: And we have just now got sin our wedding rings.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that's not usually, you know, it's like, it's when when people hear that, it's a little bit surprising.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_03]: I also got my wedding ring recently.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_03]: I picked it up on our way back from Copenhagen.
- 18:22[SPEAKER_03]: And, um, yeah, I feel like it would be interesting to tell people like, I'm sure people would normally ask if they were just in the room with us, you know, across the kitchen island.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_03]: Like, why did you guys not get them when you actually, you know, got married?
- 18:35[SPEAKER_03]: If you don't know, we didn't have a wedding, we just went to the courthouse.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_03]: It was small, cute, and sweet.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_03]: Our moms were there, and then we celebrated with them.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_03]: And then we had dinner just two of us.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_03]: We wanted to just be super, like, truly super low-key.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_03]: But this was in the
- 18:50[SPEAKER_03]: November, twenty- twenty-one.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_03]: So COVID was still happening.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_06]: COVID definitely was still happening.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so we just so you want to talk about that?
- 19:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, why not?
- 19:01[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, cool.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_03]: I had no idea.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_03]: I think it would be really cool.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_03]: We had literally no topic going into this.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_03]: And I think since you talked about your ring, I think it would be a cool
- 19:13[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_03]: Just like so get into it.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_06]: So the reason first of all, okay, so my perspective.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay.
- 19:22[SPEAKER_06]: The reason why we didn't get it brings from the very beginning was that to us the way we view getting married and doing the whole like legal thing.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_06]: It's about you and your person.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_06]: That's it.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_06]: There's nothing else like
- 19:38[SPEAKER_06]: the ring, the family, the big party, the invitation, the room you got around, the clothes you wear, it's like, that's extra shit to us, okay?
- 19:49[SPEAKER_06]: So to us it was purely what we're doing for each other and with each other.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so that's number one.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the second thing I feel like I remember I would have to I would kind of ask my mom But I do remember saying to her something about how I just find like that you know having rings is like for me for me the biggest thing is just with the whole like
- 20:16[SPEAKER_03]: having an engagement ring and then like as the girls like you have an engagement ring but what is my guy having an engagement ring and then the guy he gets the engagement ring and then poses the girl and like all these things to me I find them very like old school in a way that I just don't I just don't they don't feel natural to me it's almost like natural to us yeah it didn't feel natural to me either
- 20:40[SPEAKER_06]: And I just don't personally, I just don't like doing things in such a step by step.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_06]: So this happens first and then you're supposed to do this.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_03]: And then you get to ring and then she's gonna... And that's not in any way to say that if you are into that stuff, we're judging you.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_03]: No, not at all.
- 21:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's wrong, we get it.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_06]: Because also, sorry, so sorry.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_06]: because in some cultures, whether it's like something you chose to do, the pairs have so much say in how you're going to get married, like sometimes, like the kids
- 21:22[SPEAKER_06]: They do it exactly how their parents want them to do because culturally that's just what happens.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_03]: I mean that or it just happens that everybody wanted to do it that way.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_03]: You don't because you also get brought up into a culture, everybody around you celebrates and does weddings and all these things the same way so then you also want to like be or have the same things as well.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_06]: Or if you deeply, if you honestly maybe don't want to do it the way you guys do it traditionally, whatever culture you're from.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_06]: It comes there's like a little bit of pressure that comes with that like there like if I don't do it that means I'm gonna get judged by my family Exactly, what do you mean you're not gonna do this so then you just do it and and listen however you celebrate your love love is loving it's always beautiful so like this is just what we chose to do but I love weddings
- 22:10[SPEAKER_03]: you know like going to weddings always fun it's always emotional because you see two people no matter how they celebrated it's always a beautiful thing I think for us like we just truly didn't think about any of that because I remember even when we told like the few people it's like oh yeah we're gonna get married all these things like people were so like then the next question is like for me is let me see your ring oh they always look at the ring like
- 22:36[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, I ain't got one.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_03]: Like, why do you always expect, like, why do I have to have a ring?
- 22:41[SPEAKER_03]: Like, why can't we just get married?
- 22:42[SPEAKER_03]: Why does that have to be this whole, like, oh, like, what ring did he get you in, like, like, how big is the thing?
- 22:48[SPEAKER_03]: Like, it's just already, there's so much attached to it.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_03]: And you can either look at it as like, it's just a ring and it's just this and it's just so that you can.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_03]: But I can't tell, but like, see, the read between the lines of all these things.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_03]: from like how people measure themselves to these types of things, how much money he would spend on this ring, how big was it, how did he do it, and it's also just the base principle of the fact that it's in his hands that he asks, and then it's like, it's like, whenever he wants it'll happen, and if he never asks, then it'll never happen.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, all things, we both felt the same way from the very beginning, and we always been so open about it.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_03]: And we just really got lucky in the sense that we matched on this from the very beginning it was never that like one of us wanted one thing the other one wanted a different thing we were both just like we want to do it the way that feels most natural to us and that's what it was to and the reason why we didn't
- 23:45[SPEAKER_03]: get like even rains at the time is because we just didn't really we were like okay we want to get married if you've never really done if you've never got married before in the US at least you have to like apply for a license and what you get the license and you have like a certain amount of time to basically get married and I don't know if it's COVID and we're just like we just wanted to get married we weren't really cool and thinking about any of the extra stuff
- 24:08[SPEAKER_06]: I'm even glad that we didn't give rings back then because I feel like my style, the style of ring that I would have wanted back then would have been so much different than this.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: Why are you staring like what I'm about to say?
- 24:19[SPEAKER_06]: You were able to say that?
- 24:20[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like I heard you said up before and I was like, damn, that's kind of good.
- 24:23[SPEAKER_06]: I want to say that.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_06]: It's, it's honestly, and I'm so, I think I'm going to post like, should I post a picture of it like on my Instagram story?
- 24:30[SPEAKER_05]: Here, listen, this is another thing.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_06]: No, I just want to show people like I finally got my ring.
- 24:37[SPEAKER_03]: Like what would you post you take a photo of your hand and then just say something about it?
- 24:41[SPEAKER_06]: I got married today.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_05]: I find that a little cringe.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_05]: I know people do that, but I just, I don't know.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_06]: All these sets of things to me are just, they feel so unnatural and like, because everything other than you and your person celebrating your love, however you want to, to me, I guess to us to, I can speak for both of us, it feels, it feels just, it's just extra shit, you know?
- 25:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that, that, it just feels extra to us.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_03]: You know, and that's exactly why we just did it the way that we did.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_03]: I would say the one thing that I would have loved to have gotten, if you want to say, the one part of the whole like getting married aspect
- 25:28[SPEAKER_03]: that I wish we didn't miss out on because we didn't have a wedding or a celebration or something like that is having our entire families from all over because it just so happens that ours is really spread out from like Yoni's family is like in so many different places to like my family in Romania and then some that are in the US is like if we were to have had a wedding wherever it would have been
- 25:53[SPEAKER_03]: It would have been an opportunity for every single person, whoever would have been able to come and made the effort to come to our wedding to have been in the same place together.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_03]: Because there's nothing that will bring people together like a wedding.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_06]: That's very true.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: Because it's like basically two families coming together.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_06]: It's not so good.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_06]: It's just a great opportunity for everybody to meet each other.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I'm saying.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's like even a wedding is different like when you have a baby like not everybody's gonna come.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_03]: It's not the same thing.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_03]: A wedding is like people would come to the wedding.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_03]: you know, and and because our family's so spread out and like we live in New York, we don't have any family here.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_03]: Like everybody wants to fly at home.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_03]: Other families in Europe in different countries.
- 26:37[SPEAKER_03]: So if like there would have been people that would have made the effort, I don't even know where we would have had the wedding.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_03]: Because I would have been a lot of fly for people to come to the US.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_06]: We would have to do it like in the middle of the ocean.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's just right in the middle.
- 26:55[SPEAKER_03]: So that's one thing that I kinda am like sad that we didn't get, but that's not only part like I good without any other stuff.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_03]: It could have been like everybody come over to the house type thing.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_06]: But you know, it's not too late.
- 27:08[SPEAKER_06]: Like, we kids too.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_03]: But people won't come.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_03]: It's not the same.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_03]: Like, this is not the same level as it is.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_06]: We can do on our tenth year anniversary, okay?
- 27:18[SPEAKER_06]: So by then, we probably already have our kids, right?
- 27:22[SPEAKER_06]: And I think it will be so, because people celebrate the anniversary that way.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_06]: So I guess our first anniversary, like, ten year anniversary could be the party.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_06]: We'll be in a different place in our lives.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_06]: We're going to choose a good location.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want to be an inconvenience to anybody.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_03]: I just feel like those people wouldn't treat it the way that it would be like the way.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_06]: That's you saying that.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_03]: Like people wouldn't make the effort because I'm talking about like effort in time.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_03]: One year.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_03]: I'm thinking about, like, grandparents, like older people.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_06]: You're speaking for them.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_03]: You're getting on a plane.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_03]: If things like that.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_06]: They wouldn't have gotten, they would have had to get on a plane if we did it four years ago.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it's like, I don't know, anyways.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_06]: You're just speaking for them, like, if you get an invite from your kid or your grandchildren, hey, we would love to be the people.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_03]: People have health issues.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's simple.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_06]: So you're thinking, okay, so you're thinking about something else.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's what I'm thinking about.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, okay.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_03]: It's not about like if they want I'm just saying like if it were the wedding wedding Okay, I think people of what have made a different like people just look at weddings differently Yeah Anyways, I think we're talking about two different things.
- 28:41[SPEAKER_06]: You're talking about grandparents getting old Yeah, it's talking about the wedding wedding.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_06]: Like is it the is it the wedding being the first one that means more to you both?
- 28:52[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_03]: It's like being like, oh, we're celebrating our ten year anniversary.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, oh, congratulations, but like, it's not that big of a deal, but like getting married.
- 29:00[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a big deal to everyone's in mind in their mind.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a ten year anniversary.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_03]: It's like you've been married.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_03]: Like, okay.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, that is true.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, what's still gonna do it, right?
- 29:08[SPEAKER_06]: Do you still wanna do it?
- 29:09[SPEAKER_03]: That's not what I'm talking about.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_06]: No, because you're saying that to say what?
- 29:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'm saying it to say like, like nobody will show up.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_03]: No, we missed opportunity when like your grandma could have met my grandma.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I'm talking about.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_03]: You know, because like our ten year anniversary, nobody's gonna look at it as or wedding in terms of importance.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_06]: I think if my grandchildren one day sent me, hey grandpa Yoni, we're doing a ten year anniversary and we would love for you to be there.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_03]: You think I'm gonna be like there there be I just depends what how's your health doing like different things.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_06]: What if my health is great?
- 29:46[SPEAKER_03]: And then that's great, you know, but that's not always a case.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_06]: That's now is the case.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_03]: So I want to talk about my, um, so my redding ring.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so so I want to talk about why we changed our minds because I do feel like I wish I could ask my mom because I think she would be able to say that there's this one time when she asked me I think about rings that we were talking about weddings or different things like that.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_03]: And in this true that at one point I was a little bit anti I was a little bit like anti everything when it comes to like marriage just because I hate the way there's so much emphasis on like the bride and like the woman this is the biggest different life like all these things and it's like no it's not a ball or it's about them both people that are getting married.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_06]: Why do we always think it's just about her?
- 30:33[SPEAKER_03]: Well, because traditionally that's just for years and years and centuries, and I don't even know how many years.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_03]: It's been historically framed that way because of, you know, patriarchy, coal, societies, and stuff like that.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_03]: And I just don't subscribe to that type of mentality.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_03]: And my, I just took it further where those things
- 30:59[SPEAKER_03]: They might not necessarily be like that now Sorry, but they come from that You know, so that's why I don't like the wedding dress thing.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_03]: I don't like the whole like Anyways historical significance and I kind of got so into it that I was like yeah, like I don't want to do rings because like why do you need to show other people that you're married about about whatever?
- 31:18[SPEAKER_03]: I was really like going on that way.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_06]: That was you was really deep
- 31:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was doing a lot.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_03]: I was doing a lot.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_03]: And even though I still subscribe to pretty much everything else that I that I said before, I do love the fact that we have rings now.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm also which you stole my stole what I was going to say.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_03]: Um, I'm really glad that we waited to get it because who knows what alia in twenty twenty one tap a range she would have gotten twenty twenty one.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_06]: I remember that air twenty twenty one.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_06]: You were very colorful.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_06]: That's when you were wearing a bunch of like
- 31:55[SPEAKER_03]: That was like the beginning of YouTube.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_03]: I was figuring out who I was.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_03]: You don't need to show me some photos.
- 32:01[SPEAKER_03]: I used to get like those those long ass fake gel nails.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_03]: That would then be like a colorful, colorful gel tips.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I like things.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_06]: I like it.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_06]: It was cute.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_06]: It was cool.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_06]: I like it.
- 32:15[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_06]: Well.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_06]: So anyways, we got the ring now and I can't stop looking at it.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 32:22[SPEAKER_06]: I can't stop looking at even though it's like a half size bigger.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_06]: It's still fits okay, but I just Yeah, I shouldn't be like slipping around like that.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's my ring.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_06]: It's not slipping around my ring.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't done.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know why you're like moving on from my side.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_06]: It's okay.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_03]: So you're my ring is from Poland and the story about my ring is that the ring had shipped to New York.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_03]: And because of a bunch of different like paperwork, random shit like the Homeland Security kept holding it at the border.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_03]: It was like not, I couldn't get to it.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_03]: And the jewelry shop kept talking to them, kept sending them a bunch of things, etc.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_03]: And they ended up sending the ring back to Poland.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I was like, okay, we can go through this again.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_03]: And we knew that we were going on the Portugal trip, and then we're gonna go to Lisbon.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, and then we're gonna go to Copenhagen.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_03]: And when I was looking at flights to go from Copenhagen back to New York, I saw that there were a lot of the flights had a layover in Warsaw.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_03]: And Warsaw is where the wedding, where my ring shop is from, like the jewelry shop.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_03]: So I was okay, you know what, like, let's give this a try.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_03]: So I emailed the shop.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_06]: That's some mission to post bullshit.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_03]: I emailed the shop and I was like, hey, you guys, like, this is what's happening.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna fly through Warsaw.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_03]: We can get, like, it was nice to that we could actually get, um,
- 33:58[SPEAKER_03]: like there were several options for how long the layover in Warsaw could have been.
- 34:02[SPEAKER_03]: We could have even been there for like a whole day if we wanted to.
- 34:05[SPEAKER_03]: And originally I was like what if we just like I come out of the airport I like go to the store.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_03]: I pick up the ring.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_03]: But then I was like you know what?
- 34:13[SPEAKER_03]: Like can you guys meet us?
- 34:15[SPEAKER_03]: Can you meet us at the airport?
- 34:17[SPEAKER_03]: Can someone come?
- 34:19[SPEAKER_03]: And luckily and it's it's a really like small shop.
- 34:22[SPEAKER_03]: But I really loved that ring.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, go to the store with a bit crazy.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_03]: It was only like a twenty minute drive.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_06]: I know, but it's like it's a city.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_06]: It's a new country.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_06]: You don't know anything and that will really would have been some impossible shit.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_06]: Wait, what does it call it?
- 34:35[SPEAKER_06]: Impossible mission mission impossible alien Warsaw look for the ring.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_05]: It does sound like some some like money.
- 34:43[SPEAKER_05]: And then you get then some diamond high stuff thing.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_05]: So luckily one of the people because it's a small jewelry brand, so then they agreed to come.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_03]: So then I went to the airport where you arrived in Warsaw and then I went out of the airport in arrivals and I was just waiting by like a subway or something like that.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_03]: And then I was emailing with the lady and then she was like, hey, I'm here.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'm across from like this coffee shop in arrivals where your family would come say hello and like pick you up from the airport.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_03]: And she was like, oh, I'm I'm like blonde hair blonde short hair and all black and then I'm like wearing all my airport shit, you know, looking tired and then I was like, hi, and then she just Yeah, I've never told me to just gave me the rain like she was like, okay, here you go and then I just felt like I was doing something wrong like I was going to pick up something like from another city
- 35:42[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, what's it doing anything wrong?
- 35:43[SPEAKER_03]: What's so ever it could have been anything like a bull like I was in anything sketch But something about the fact that like I was going out of the airport to get something and then leave again It just felt it felt like suspicious So when you got the ring and you holding it you walk it back into the airport which a hoodie on Well first okay, yeah, you're dramatic.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know a hoodie on Well like first like I tried on the ring obviously to make sure that if it because they needed to make a smaller size or me specifically got a question
- 36:11[SPEAKER_06]: What was there any part of you that was like, can't scare to me to meet this lady?
- 36:17[SPEAKER_06]: No.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, good.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_03]: Um, not at all.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_03]: But then she was like, you know, wear the ring.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_03]: So then you don't have to like deal with all these like different, you know, shit, like people asking, like if it's like a box or something, then take it's like a gift and it's like how expensive it is.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a hole.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_03]: But what does that matter?
- 36:33[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_03]: So, uh, yeah, so then I put on the ring.
- 36:39[SPEAKER_03]: It was good.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_06]: It's crazy how your feet's perfect.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_03]: No, it does it perfectly.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_03]: I'm so glad because they had to do a custom size and then fit.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_03]: If it didn't fit, then.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know a little bit of them.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_06]: Refund.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, probably, but I'm so, this is exactly the ring that I want.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_03]: And then I just went back to the airport.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_03]: I already had my boarding pass.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_03]: So I just came to the boarding pass, walked in and went through customs.
- 37:06[SPEAKER_03]: So I was like, hello, goodbye.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_03]: And then I met with you in the airport back here.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_06]: So nice to see you.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I sent you only photos of the ring.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_03]: I was just like, what do you think?
- 37:16[SPEAKER_06]: I could tell Ali was really excited and I can tell that she really loved the ring because she didn't send me just one photo.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_06]: Like she sent me multiple photos, but here's the thing, every photo was in a completely different angle.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I had to give you like profile view up top to the side.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_06]: A fist open.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it was cool.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_06]: I'd be like that ring to it and I like mine as well.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think it really suits like I don't think I would have I don't know what ring I would be so curious if I could like somehow go back in time or at least if I knew like I had like maybe a Pinterest board or something saved from back then But I think I was just so anti like all these things
- 37:57[SPEAKER_06]: You weren't even looking at it.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_03]: That I was like not even thinking about it.
- 38:00[SPEAKER_03]: But if we were to get rings.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_03]: And now I'm just, I'm really happy to have a ring that signifies our commitment to each other.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_03]: And if you're curious, it's like a wedding band, but it has a little...
- 38:17[SPEAKER_03]: diamond in the middle, because I just felt like I wanted to be slightly more feminine, but it's still very much like my, I don't know what you would call this like not subdued like low key.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, it's really nice.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_06]: Um, do you guys want to hear my ring story?
- 38:36[SPEAKER_06]: It's not as dramatic as alias, but... Yeah, so my ring story is that I ordered a ring from a website.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_06]: Um, really good high quality stuff.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_06]: So I trusted them, read a bunch of reviews as we all do and it was great.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_06]: Of course there's always like a couple like bad reviews, them say, oh shit.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_06]: But it was, it was good I trusted them, right?
- 38:58[SPEAKER_06]: And I still do.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm glad I did.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_06]: So I I'm a place to order we go try it out, right?
- 39:06[SPEAKER_06]: Like we try like the sizing and all that yeah again person
- 39:10[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, in person.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_06]: Very nice people.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_06]: Some kind of kind of like just fast forward a little bit, but I get an email and this is kind of like a confirmation that everything is right before the ring goes into production.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_06]: So it says the size, what material it is, and all that stuff right?
- 39:29[SPEAKER_03]: It has like a, like a, like a, it had a photo of the ring.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like a, it's not really a photo.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's like a graph.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it's like a graph, like a graph of the ring.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_06]: And it says size four point five.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_03]: No, it doesn't even say size.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_03]: It just says four point five.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, four point five.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm looking at the four point five.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_06]: I'm like, I have nothing to do with four point five.
- 39:50[SPEAKER_03]: No, the four point five was the width.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_06]: It was the width of the ring.
- 39:54[SPEAKER_03]: You're going to get a four point five millimeter thick.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_06]: I was going to get that.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_03]: So there was a four point five that should have been somewhere.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_06]: But that for a profile signified something else.
- 40:07[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, because when you received the prototype, I received the prototype, you guys, and I'm telling you, the ring couldn't fit my pinky.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it felt quite fabulous like myself.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_06]: That's how small it was.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_06]: And I was so excited to get it and I opened the box.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_06]: I was just like, okay, cool.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_06]: Let me just try it out.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_06]: So I can confirm and he can go into production.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_06]: And that ring was smaller than like, yeah, it was very smart.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_06]: It was very, very smart.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_06]: Then I figured my pinky.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_06]: So very, very disappointed.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm already the most impatient person ever.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_06]: I hate waiting.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_06]: I hate returns and then waiting again.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, so and somehow Yonio gets on like he would shit going.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_03]: Of course my ring I order it.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_03]: It's another country if it doesn't fit if it doesn't work like I don't know what we're gonna do because I'm not coming back to Warsaw just for this ring.
- 40:57[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, exactly.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_03]: And they had to make it a custom size for me and of course if it
- 41:02[SPEAKER_06]: Perfectly too sorry as I deal with my little thing I email her I say hey, this is oh no, so we go back to see her in person Oh, yes, and then when we sit down and she's like hi, so you only did you did you get my email because
- 41:20[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, no.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_03]: No, we tried it on in person.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_06]: In person, yeah, I didn't receive it.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_06]: Sorry.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_03]: We tried it on in person because she, he, he was like in their office because you have an appointment to try the prototype.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, at the office, sorry.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_06]: I got the story all mixed up.
- 41:36[SPEAKER_06]: But then when we got there, she's like, because she sees that I'm all excited.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_06]: Like, you know, she sees my energy like, oh, he's excited.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_06]: Like he must have not read my email, which I did.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_06]: She was like, hey, so just to clarify, like, did you read my email because something happened and I'm just like, oh, gosh, what happened?
- 41:53[SPEAKER_06]: And then she told me, I first thought that she can't see me today, reschedule, you know?
- 41:59[SPEAKER_06]: But then she was like so basically what I said in the email was that... Did it an error?
- 42:04[SPEAKER_06]: The middle mistake and it's the wrong size.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_06]: So I was gonna, I was trying to keep it chill.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_06]: But I was really frustrated.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, listen, this is a three-D printed prototype.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_03]: Like this is not the actual ring in like material though.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_06]: But how do you make a mistake like that?
- 42:17[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_06]: Anyway, so that mistake happened.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_06]: I was very, very disappointed.
- 42:20[SPEAKER_06]: Like everything she said after that point, I didn't even, I wouldn't even list.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_03]: The reason why you only was so disappointed is because he kind of wanted to have his ring before we went on the trip.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I wanted to have that before we went on the trip.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_03]: But I don't know why you would want that because I wasn't going to have my ring yet either.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_03]: And we said, the thing is we did say we're going to wear our rings at the same time.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_03]: Like once we both have them, but I wore my ring from the very beginning and I never took it off.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, it's okay.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_06]: It's okay.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_06]: So anyway, that happens.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_06]: I'm very disappointed walking back out.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_06]: I remember that day.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_06]: I was just kind of like, oh, why does this always happen to me?
- 42:54[SPEAKER_06]: Like when I order shoes, it's too small.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_06]: When I order t-shirts, it's too big.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_06]: When I like, there's always some that's our hate shopping online.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_06]: Me when it comes to me spending money on anything.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_06]: I need to be there.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_06]: I need to try it on and look in the mirror and be like, okay, this is a good, this is confirmed.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, because Yoni hates dealing with like return.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_05]: I hate it.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just not patient like that.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know how you online shoppers can do.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_06]: I need to be that in person.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so anyway, so of course this happens with my ring.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_06]: Nothing new, right?
- 43:26[SPEAKER_06]: Um, yes, so they fixed it long story short.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_06]: I found he got it two days ago and I put it on and then of course it's a little too big.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I'm glad they got the design exactly how I wanted which is just a resizing it is the easy.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_06]: When I say design people think it's like it has some design.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_06]: There's no design on the ring.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_03]: The silhouette.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, the silhouette or just the just the shape of the ring is not flat.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_06]: It's like around like a barrel.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah exactly like a barrel.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_06]: They nailed that.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_06]: It's perfect.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_06]: I made the ring a lot thinner than four point five millimeter, right?
- 44:06[SPEAKER_06]: So this is three millimeter.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I feel like it's actually now that that I think about it or four point five would have been.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_06]: It would have been so big.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't really think.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_06]: Like it's so aggressive like this is nice, you know, some people, some people might say this is true thin for like a men's ring, but I mean, whatever.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, what does that mean?
- 44:23[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so I love how thin it is and it's perfect.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, don't think it's like really thin, though.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, no, it's not super thin, but it's nice.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_03]: I do want to talk about because I did think I did take this photo of that I really like just like the photo.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_03]: But it's like of my arm when I'm walking I think I'm walking on the street or something and you can see like my bracelet my little tattoo here You can see my ring and like this other ring that I had on and I have that photo and I've been thinking about posting it But I don't know why I feel like weird about it.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_07]: Why?
- 45:05[SPEAKER_03]: Because I am not trying to post it to be like
- 45:10[SPEAKER_03]: because we've already been married.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_03]: So it's like, I know, like, we've already been married.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_03]: People know that we're married or at least some people know.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_06]: Some people just find out today.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, we just found out today.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and I don't know.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_03]: I just, I'm not, I, it feels weird to be, I'm not trying to be explaining myself.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_06]: What do you really say?
- 45:35[SPEAKER_03]: What I'm really saying.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_03]: is that you don't want to feel like because a lot of people don't know that we're married like they just can't tell or they don't know for some reason because when I just like talking about it all the time if I post that then somebody would be like oh my god did you get married whenever and I'll have to be like no I've been married like well you haven't had a ring this whole time and I'm like well yeah because we just got it now like four years later and they're gonna be like wait you know
- 45:57[SPEAKER_06]: If you want to post it, post it.
- 45:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's true.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_06]: It doesn't matter.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_06]: You know, you know, now my new thing is it's not even my new thing, but it's like I don't want everything things.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_06]: I just want to keep things chill because I'm already overthinking anything that has to do with the work.
- 46:17[SPEAKER_06]: Anything other than work, it's like
- 46:20[SPEAKER_06]: Just do what you want.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_06]: You don't have to explain yourself.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_06]: You don't have to explain yourself to family, to whoever to anybody.
- 46:27[SPEAKER_06]: Unless you want to.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_06]: But like, with this, especially like with social media and posting stuff, it doesn't matter.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_06]: You want to post something posted.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_06]: People ask you questions you can need to answer.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_06]: I don't answer.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_06]: You know?
- 46:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I guess.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_03]: And at the same time, I don't want to say, I'm not trying to like post that to be like, look at my ring or look at that ring.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_06]: But even if you did,
- 46:50[SPEAKER_06]: Because you are excited by the people.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_06]: If you listen to this episode, do you know how excited we are to have this?
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, I get told so it is pretty much about this.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_06]: Exactly.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_06]: So how are you going to be like, oh, like, I'm not going to... It's just it's definitely nice to have.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't have as many men coming up to me as young as women coming up to have.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_06]: That is very true.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_06]: It's not true, actually.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_06]: It's not true.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_03]: I couldn't tell you the last time a man like walk up to me.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, what happened yesterday?
- 47:19[SPEAKER_06]: I walk up to you and I found your look.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_06]: I have alias location.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_05]: I wasn't my sister getting some talk.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_06]: She was with her sister getting some tacos and I'm in the city somewhere.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_06]: I was getting something done and then I was finished.
- 47:31[SPEAKER_06]: So I look at her location.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_06]: I call her.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_06]: No, first I call her to ask where you were and she wasn't answering.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm like, okay, cool.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_02]: What's funny?
- 47:41[SPEAKER_06]: Let me look in the location and see where we were going to be.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, cool.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_06]: But this is like two hours later.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't know you were still there.
- 47:46[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't that long.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_06]: So then I look at the location.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_06]: I'm like, okay, cool.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_06]: I'm only five minutes away.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_06]: Let me just walk toward she is, right?
- 47:53[SPEAKER_06]: Some walking toward towards the place she's at.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_06]: And then the distance I see a group sitting.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_06]: And it looks like it's you.
- 48:01[SPEAKER_06]: No, it kind of looked like you and your sister, but
- 48:06[SPEAKER_06]: But then it kind of didn't for some reason because my brain just couldn't figure out why you were sitting at that specific spot, but I'll explain it a little bit later.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_06]: So I cross the street and I get around like the restaurant.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_06]: And as I'm crossing the street, I'm looking over and Alia was one of the girls in that big group of men that I saw.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_06]: Just talking, right?
- 48:32[SPEAKER_06]: So it was her and in her sister and then like four other guys they were just talking like like serious conversation as if like they were like Yeah, like we were like we knew each other.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, and I kind of just walk up and Ali was like oh hi This is the only man who's been that's the first thing you said, right?
- 48:50[SPEAKER_03]: Of course.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_03]: I got to make sure they know
- 48:51[SPEAKER_06]: Did you say that before?
- 48:53[SPEAKER_03]: I mentioned my husband before.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because I was like, oh, yeah, my husband and I first moved to Nolita.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, you did okay.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_03]: When it's like, we're in the city.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, so I'm walking up and I'm thinking like, oh, I shit.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_06]: Here's the moment.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_06]: Here's the moment that I catch out.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_06]: You're talking to some guys.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_06]: First of all.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_06]: And then I was just like, oh, hey, guys, what's up?
- 49:17[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody was nice.
- 49:18[SPEAKER_06]: No, these schools, these girls were cool.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_06]: They shook my hand.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_06]: I was like, hey, are you doing, you know, did you give them a podcast at all?
- 49:26[SPEAKER_03]: No, I didn't get to even talk about what we did.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, okay, that's good.
- 49:29[SPEAKER_06]: That's good.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_06]: So.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_03]: I just think it's realistic.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, just get to listen.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_06]: So everybody who kind of like shook my head with a big smile on their face kind of like, like, we're not doing it.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_06]: We're like, we're not trying to do anything slick.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, really?
- 49:43[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I got.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, interesting.
- 49:45[SPEAKER_06]: From this guy, the other guy was, everybody was super nice.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_06]: And I don't know it was kind of like a funny little bit because I know what they were probably thinking.
- 49:55[SPEAKER_06]: Which is, like, her husband is probably wondering, like, what are we talking about?
- 50:01[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, you think that that's what they're thinking.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_05]: I think you think.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_06]: So then they made me feel comfortable from the beginning.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_05]: Like to reassure you.
- 50:08[SPEAKER_06]: To reassure, like, you're like, this is chill.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_06]: No, really.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_06]: I think so.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_05]: I mean, it was super chill.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_05]: Like, they just asked us what talk was a joke.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_05]: And then, because they sat right behind us.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_06]: So then, I sit down and, you know, y'all was in the middle of the conversation.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_06]: So I was just kind of joined.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, one of the guys was like a teacher.
- 50:30[SPEAKER_03]: And I thought it was so interesting because you don't really meet teachers that are like young.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like you assume.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_03]: Which one was a teacher?
- 50:36[SPEAKER_03]: The one that was sitting like right next to me.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, the guys, okay, okay, yeah.
- 50:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like I had on, but yeah, super chill guys, like they just asked what talk was did you get?
- 50:47[SPEAKER_03]: And then I don't know, I just felt there was this times and there's moments when I'm just a chatty Kathy.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_03]: Okay, I just I feel like if you catch me in the right moment, I'm feeling the right vibe and like your chill, like I'm down to talk about whatever.
- 51:03[SPEAKER_03]: Just like literally chop it up as I've been saying.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_06]: see me, I don't have a problem with that because I can be the same.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_03]: You're the same.
- 51:11[SPEAKER_06]: Um, but you know, like, like, if that if that was reversed, right?
- 51:17[SPEAKER_06]: Let's say you're coming up to me and I'm sitting in a group of five women and we just talk and just some good old, just good conversation, right?
- 51:26[SPEAKER_03]: I want to be surprised.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_06]: And then, and then you walk, what the way why you say that?
- 51:31[SPEAKER_03]: because I feel like you're very approachable.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_03]: If it was five, if it was four girls sitting and you were with your friend, who was also a guy, and you guys were all talking together, I wouldn't think anything.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, because that's how... And I wouldn't feel any type of threat in nothing at all because I know that you're just talking.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_06]: I didn't feel that either.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_06]: I don't want them.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_03]: No, I don't think you were.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I didn't think that.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_06]: I was just talking about the guys perspective.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_06]: Like what I think they were thinking, but I might be wrong to I don't know.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_03]: No, I can see that.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_03]: No, I can see that, right?
- 52:06[SPEAKER_03]: Especially when I said like oh yeah, this is my husband blah blah whatever.
- 52:10[SPEAKER_03]: Like I know that they probably were like oh shit bro, like we're not trying to do nothing.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, because they don't know the type of relationship we have with chill.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_06]: So they don't know if if he was gonna be a scene like yo.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_03]: Like were you talking to my girl?
- 52:22[SPEAKER_06]: No, that could have been a thing or maybe I would have been mad at you.
- 52:25[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, like the vasory weird exactly wasn't like that at all because they saw I was I'm chill guys.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't feel like we're just talking like just because it's it's just okay, but you can't you can't say we're just talking because there's some people in relationships that that if that happened it's like it's gonna be a conversation at home
- 52:44[SPEAKER_00]: But they're just people, just because their men doesn't mean like automatically automatically what?
- 52:50[SPEAKER_06]: I agree.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_06]: But there's a lot of different types of relationships out there.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_06]: There's some toxic shit that some that the moment I talk to the opposite sex, it's like, I'm sorry.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_03]: The way we were talking, they could have been girls.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's like the type of comments that they're having.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_03]: It was just so like, talking about like rock climbing.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_03]: For some reason, they knew hell is shit about Seattle.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_07]: What?
- 53:14[SPEAKER_03]: which was so funny.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because I think one of them, he was like, his girlfriend or ex girlfriend, you just like go to school there, I don't remember.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_03]: But then it was crazy because I kept the night was like, okay, like, he was bringing shit up that I was like, there's no way you can know this much about Seattle, like neighborhoods, like different stores to go to.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_03]: And I was like, wait, I've never been to this store and then we figured out as a store that we used to be called that, but now it hasn't been called that some like damn, it's been a long time since you've been to Seattle.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_05]: You know, you're just funny, but it was just chill shit.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_06]: Like he was there before you.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah pretty much really much But yeah, it's cool.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's like it was a very much a New York moment where you end up you know, we're probably never gonna see these guys again like I don't remember their names This boy guy was Thai
- 54:03[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, a tie.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_03]: Really?
- 54:05[SPEAKER_06]: That's the guy that had like the the big reassurance smile on his face like bro would just chillin.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, really?
- 54:14[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't even talk.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know which one that was.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_03]: I mostly talk to the dad that was nice me, but
- 54:19[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, chill, chill vibes, you know, I have my ring on, so they saw that one.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_03]: I like having it on, and honestly, I'm curious to see your experience with the ring and see if women give you a different vibe or she'll like that.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, women be doing the cutesy sometimes, they'll write their name or napkins and be like, hey, my friend over there, she just, she just kind of shy, she just wanted to say hi.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_06]: Or like, no, no, no, I'm just kidding.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_06]: That they didn't happen.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_02]: Girls are cute.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_02]: Girls are cute.
- 54:52[SPEAKER_02]: And you're cute, you know, I'm like, why?
- 54:55[SPEAKER_06]: But I always think it's kind of like funny when you send your friend to go tell the guy.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_03]: I get it because the friend is going to come through.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_03]: The friend is going to be like, I got you girl.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I'm going to do that because she has no stake in it.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_06]: I know, but then, while the friend is talking to me, the person in question is just somewhere like the looking.
- 55:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you might not even know what they look like.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like, let's say you are singer.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_06]: And I'm looking over like, you know, like, come here.
- 55:25[SPEAKER_06]: If I was single.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_05]: That's what I'm saying.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_05]: If you were single, yeah, I'm like, you better not be saying that should know.
- 55:30[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, no, no.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_05]: Just imagine.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_06]: Now, I honestly, I just get the number, be like, oh, thanks.
- 55:34[SPEAKER_06]: And I just never, kind of, I just never text back.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_06]: Or I just never text.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_05]: never kind of take it.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_06]: But that's kind of like we talked about that once before like you shouldn't take someone's number and you know if you know you're not going to text them.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_06]: But the only reason why I take the number is because I just don't want to what it's a friend that gave it to me or it was direct face to face.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_06]: I kind of always taken and say thank
- 56:00[SPEAKER_03]: Nah, I think it's not okay with the ring, huh?
- 56:03[SPEAKER_03]: It's totally chill if you in an understandable too and respectable like if you if someone respectable Respect respectable No, like you've mean now if I take a number you think it's respectable No, I was about to say it's super respectable I don't know if that's the word to say like oh, that's that's really nice, but I'm married
- 56:27[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because that's first is the truth.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_03]: Second, you came argue with that.
- 56:33[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, what if you said, or you're not?
- 56:35[SPEAKER_03]: It's not a girlfriend type thing, because it's like, oh, I have a girlfriend.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, a lot of people look at that.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, yeah, everybody got a girlfriend.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like it doesn't matter what you have.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_03]: I think I'm very, could break up because you know,
- 56:43[SPEAKER_06]: Like, how's your relationship?
- 56:44[SPEAKER_06]: How good?
- 56:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, for some reason, if there's a girlfriend, they could easily not be a girlfriend.
- 56:50[SPEAKER_03]: But nobody would think that way about a wife.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_03]: Like, a marriage, you know?
- 56:54[SPEAKER_03]: That you got to leave him alone.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's like different.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_03]: It's on different note.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_03]: So I think if you, someone walks up to you says, you know, whatever they say, give your napkin a paper blah, blah, blah.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_03]: I think you're totally chill.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_03]: And nobody would be like, feel some type of way.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_03]: It's like, oh, he was married.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_03]: It's like shit.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_06]: Like, what's going to do?
- 57:12[SPEAKER_06]: I'm leaving my life.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_06]: No, I'm definitely going to start saying that.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm just going to start somehow making his hand part of the conversation, like, um, put his hand on the table or something.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_06]: That's not, I would not be doing that.
- 57:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's okay.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_06]: Are we done yet?
- 57:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so... We're an hour in now.
- 57:34[SPEAKER_06]: No, I feel like there was something else that I want.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_06]: What were we talking about in the beginning of that episode?
- 57:38[SPEAKER_06]: We started talking about something and then we got into the rings where I really liked what we were talking about right before.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_02]: For the Instagram know.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it's so crazy because I wanted to get back to that just for a little bit because it has something else to say.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_06]: You don't remember?
- 57:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember at all.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I've blacked out this all the time.
- 57:59[SPEAKER_06]: Oh my goodness.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_06]: If this was a live podcast that we could read the chat, I would have loved to see someone say, because if you listen to it right now, and you remember what we talked about in the beginning, I would have loved.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like they probably won't have what to send.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we could pause it and see what it was.
- 58:15[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, no, it's fine.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_06]: It's fine.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_06]: I'm probably going to remember.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: We were talking about like having people over
- 58:21[SPEAKER_06]: I have people over.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like like sitting across the dinner table.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't remember.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_06]: I think the episode is done.
- 58:30[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I think we're done.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_03]: My sister is here in town for about a week.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_03]: She's currently at a concert.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_03]: And I've been really enjoying this like going to bed early.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_06]: Have you ever been to a concert back the back?
- 58:46[SPEAKER_02]: You don't know what they're in.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_06]: That's real quick.
- 58:48[SPEAKER_06]: Like you go to your favorite artist and he's in town for like a couple nights.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_06]: Are you going to go to both shows and buy both tickets?
- 58:56[SPEAKER_06]: Not like one of them was free.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, let's not judge my sister.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not judging.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just trying to understand.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just trying to understand the people who go to it.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_06]: The same show.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_03]: This is where you're going to the show tonight and then she's going to the same show by the same guy and the same venue tomorrow night.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_06]: Now if you do this, why?
- 59:18[SPEAKER_03]: This is like a K-pop type guy.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_03]: He's like part of BTS.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_03]: If you're into that, you might know about it.
- 59:25[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's a very unfamiliar territory to me.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_03]: And I know people, as I said earlier, because we're talking about this.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_03]: I know people do this with Beyonce.
- 59:35[SPEAKER_06]: People do this with the weekend.
- 59:36[SPEAKER_06]: And if there's one concert, I'll go to is the weekend concert.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_03]: I just think you have to be a specific type of fan to go twice.
- 59:46[SPEAKER_03]: And she said she was like, you know, I want to go twice because the first time I went to, you know, another concert, she was here back in March or something.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_03]: And the first time she went to, like, the time she went to the concert, she didn't really remember, like, she kind of was like, so, you know, all by everything that was going on.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_03]: So she was like, I wish I could go again, because then I could just like really watch it again for a second time.
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_03]: I kind of get it like I guess you know, but I'm also just not a big concert go or I don't love concerts that much to that level and most of the time I mean I don't get that height like I'm really like listening so I'm like I can't miss it.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_03]: I'm there.
- 1:00:26[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, but I mean think about if the show was different or if it was somewhere someone else then I'm like okay cool.
- 1:00:32[SPEAKER_06]: I paid I paid four hundred for ticket number one for day one and then the second day you pay another four hundred or three hundred
- 1:00:42[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you're just for the same thing.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_03]: You're just making numbers up at this point.
- 1:00:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's one thing that I can't get behind that I'm like, is this concert for the first time?
- 1:00:51[SPEAKER_03]: You can be yelling, bro.
- 1:00:52[SPEAKER_06]: Sorry, guys.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_03]: What is the first concert when you're watching the concert for the first time?
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_03]: You see it for the first time.
- 1:01:00[SPEAKER_03]: I would hate to see the concert again and every single thing is the exact same thing.
- 1:01:12[SPEAKER_06]: The timing of the fire.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_03]: This is really not special for us.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_06]: No, it's not.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_06]: What you think?
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_06]: When people go on a wall tour, you think they make a special show for every city?
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, are you crazy?
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_03]: Not necessarily, but I think it would lose some of the magic, you know what I mean?
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_03]: It'll definitely lose a lot of them because everything that's going to happen is... Because there's things that they put in the show to make it seem like it's random or it's special for... Nah, that's not sure.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_03]: Or it's in the moment improvised.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_06]: That's your perspective.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_03]: You guys, you tell us in the comments on Spotify right now where you're listening, right?
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_03]: When you go to a concert, don't you feel like there's things that are, they just feel like they're specifically done kind of like in the moment.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, when they say, or like, or when they go like, choose something in the, choose someone in the audience,
- 1:02:08[SPEAKER_06]: So you'll go for a whole other concert just for them.
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm saying I think it would ruin the experience if you go twice and you see how every single thing is so planned out that it's not that special.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you'll be disappointed.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_06]: That's why you should never go through it.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I've never planned to go on a to a concert.
- 1:02:27[SPEAKER_03]: Same concert twice, but okay.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm starting to get tired and what people comment at the end of the episode if they got all the way to.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_03]: I would comment what I just told you.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_03]: I said,
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_06]: Really?
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_06]: From the whole waiting ring that you want to talk about.
- 1:02:44[SPEAKER_05]: What is the concert?
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_05]: That's how you know they listen all the way to the end.
- 1:02:48[SPEAKER_05]: Because when I was, I don't know what the title of this episode is going to be.
- 1:02:52[SPEAKER_06]: I just can't remember whatever you want.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_06]: We just appreciate you being here hanging out with us for another hour plus.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_03]: of off-topic chop in it.
- 1:03:00[SPEAKER_06]: No, you guys, this is crazy because when I sat down, I didn't know what we were gonna talk about today.
- 1:03:04[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe they.
- 1:03:05[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely, we were on a subway earlier coming home from somewhere.
- 1:03:08[SPEAKER_05]: I was stressed.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_05]: I was like, what are we talking about today?
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I was just like, so what are we gonna talk about today on the podcast?
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_06]: And I was, sometimes I don't want to think about it right away.
- 1:03:17[SPEAKER_06]: I need to be in the right space.
- 1:03:20[SPEAKER_06]: So, yeah, but yeah.
- 1:03:22[SPEAKER_03]: So you were like, I can't think about it right now.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_03]: I can't talk about it when we go out.
- 1:03:25[SPEAKER_06]: No, I was like, can we talk about it later?
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_03]: And then I got home and I was okay.
- 1:03:28[SPEAKER_03]: So what are we going to do?
- 1:03:29[SPEAKER_06]: The moment we got home.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_06]: I'm telling you, I didn't even take my shoes off.
- 1:03:33[SPEAKER_06]: She was like, okay, babe.
- 1:03:34[SPEAKER_06]: So what do you want to talk about?
- 1:03:35[SPEAKER_06]: And I got mad a little bit.
- 1:03:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you only got mad at me because I could feel the stress.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_03]: I was stressed because sometimes I just am like, what if we ran out of things to talk about?
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I know that's been your fear for four years.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_03]: It's been a few years before years and I don't know if you'll ever go away.
- 1:03:50[SPEAKER_06]: But I'm always, we always figure it out when we always did.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 1:03:53[SPEAKER_06]: So they have.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 1:03:54[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
- 1:03:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's like magic.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_03]: We got that magic.
- 1:03:58[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:03:59[SPEAKER_06]: Well, thanks guys for listening and hanging out with us.
- 1:04:02[SPEAKER_06]: I'm going to edit this episode and put it.

- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you got to add music and get, you know, you got to add something to it.
- 1:04:12[SPEAKER_06]: You know, not just going to upload it like that.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, yeah, I guess.
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_06]: Okay, thanks.

- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_06]: I felt like you were in an oven.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_03]: But like a humid oven.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_06]: And you were locked in an oven.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_06]: That wasn't funny.
