- 1:59Speaker 5: We had a fabulous time and you know, I enjoyed
- 2:03Speaker 5: because this is all new for me, being treated like
- 2:06Speaker 5: a talent. That's very This is still very new for
- 2:09Speaker 5: every time y'all to see me at BT I've paid
- 2:11Speaker 5: my way to get there, Okay, paid for either flight,
- 2:14Speaker 5: a hotel or something last night, except for last year.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Last year I got one flight because Tom couldn't go.
- 2:20Speaker 3: So I got to sit in your seat. That's it.
- 2:23Speaker 5: So every other time I have had to fight for
- 2:26Speaker 5: my life to get in there. Yes, this time it
- 2:29Speaker 5: felt different to actually be invited. And I had somebody
- 2:33Speaker 5: tell me my travel plans and where I was going,
- 2:36Speaker 5: and you know, I picked the flight, you know, it
- 2:38Speaker 5: was just wonderful. And then the hotel with the moment
- 2:42Speaker 5: I rapped to the hotel, I walked in, I saw
- 2:45Speaker 5: Gary with the T walked right into him.
- 2:48Speaker 3: I was like, wow. So it was great being being
- 2:51Speaker 3: invited and feeling.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Like a talent.
- 2:53Speaker 2: Yes, many, Zach, what about you, your BT spars man TSL.
- 2:58Speaker 1: First of all, well, I'll say it.
- 2:59Speaker 2: I'll say all of my my accolades for I felt
- 3:03Speaker 2: like a proud big brother.
- 3:04Speaker 1: But go ahead, Jack, how was it?
- 3:06Speaker 4: We had a great time. Man, it felt really good,
- 3:08Speaker 4: like Kiki said. And the best thing was, y'all. I
- 3:13Speaker 4: wasn't that no little motel lean and nothing. I was
- 3:17Speaker 4: had a really nice hotel where you one of them
- 3:20Speaker 4: hotels where it smelled good when you walk in. Okay,
- 3:23Speaker 4: one with its own lobby and bar. At the lobby
- 3:28Speaker 4: dipped down into a nice seating area. They had an
- 3:30Speaker 4: outside party. We came back from the BT room and
- 3:33Speaker 4: it was a party going on outside right in the hotel. Yeah,
- 3:37Speaker 4: it's beautiful. We was outside people was I mean, it
- 3:40Speaker 4: was a good time. I got to I'm sorry everybody.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I didn't get to hang with everybody that I wanted
- 3:46Speaker 4: to bet shot one of my best friends, Tiam. I
- 3:49Speaker 4: ain't get a chance to get up with him. Just
- 3:52Speaker 4: just didn't have the time. But you know, I love you, brother.
- 3:54Speaker 4: You know I'm always gonna go out there. A few
- 3:57Speaker 4: of my friends were in town from like you know,
- 4:00Speaker 4: they're from out of town, but they were working. Like
- 4:02Speaker 4: thence you know what I'm saying, he writes on the
- 4:03Speaker 4: Miss Pat Show or whatever. I was supposed to link
- 4:05Speaker 4: with him. Didn't get a chance. You know, we were
- 4:08Speaker 4: we were working a lot. You were everywhere though, But
- 4:11Speaker 4: I still got a chance to get out a little bit.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Touched the city. See what La was talking about and
- 4:16Speaker 1: this ful Zach.
- 4:17Speaker 2: I want to let you know, nice ass room. It
- 4:22Speaker 2: is nice ass rum Zach. Still Zach's still in college mode.
- 4:27Speaker 2: And I love it because I've been I've been here,
- 4:29Speaker 2: I've been here, that got some money.
- 4:31Speaker 1: He just don't want to hit the mini bar. He
- 4:33Speaker 1: don't want to hit the mini bar.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Zach.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I go in there.
- 4:36Speaker 2: He like were like man, were about to get ready
- 4:38Speaker 2: to go out. And I was like, all right, man,
- 4:40Speaker 2: let's pregame. Zach got alcohol and a big jugger juice
- 4:44Speaker 2: in there, a big dump jugger.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Let me tell you the first thing I did. I
- 4:52Speaker 1: went in there.
- 4:52Speaker 4: This is a nice hotel. I called. Before I even
- 4:55Speaker 4: I called the front desk. I said, it's this alcohol
- 4:57Speaker 4: that's on the bar. Is it free? I said, I
- 5:03Speaker 4: said it?
- 5:06Speaker 1: I said, is he free? She said no.
- 5:10Speaker 4: The menu is right there and until you how much
- 5:13Speaker 4: it is. And I looked at the men. I said,
- 5:15Speaker 4: oh okay. I said, okay, the alcohol not free. I
- 5:17Speaker 4: expect to pay for that. I said, what about the
- 5:19Speaker 4: water inside?
- 5:20Speaker 1: Is that free?
- 5:21Speaker 3: No?
- 5:21Speaker 4: None of this is free. Don't worry about it. Okay,
- 5:24Speaker 4: all right, I'm talking to you. And that's what I did.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Walk my happy ass down to CBS. Got me some
- 5:33Speaker 4: juice that's a mixer, got me a bottle, shall pay,
- 5:37Speaker 4: got me a vodka. You know what I'm saying, something
- 5:39Speaker 4: of my own because I know I can spend my
- 5:41Speaker 4: sixty dollars and how far that is gone? Yes, because
- 5:45Speaker 4: that's two drinks at the bar downstairs, and what they
- 5:48Speaker 4: was charging up there. I was like, no, ton saw
- 5:51Speaker 4: my juice. He was like, bro, you got you brought
- 5:54Speaker 4: your own.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, Bro. I wasn't mad at either, because
- 6:01Speaker 2: we have to pay the pregames.
- 6:03Speaker 3: I don't even touch them anybody because I feel like
- 6:05Speaker 3: touch something.
- 6:06Speaker 4: They may think I don't even touch you. I don't
- 6:09Speaker 4: put food and refrigerator.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Nothing refrigerator. I don't really touch it unless I may
- 6:17Speaker 2: have some snoop dogg medicine. Once that happens that I
- 6:19Speaker 2: just go ahead and I'm like, man, I did order
- 6:22Speaker 2: some food.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I ordered two things, y'all out of that too of
- 6:27Speaker 1: food service? Off two things. I know how much you
- 6:31Speaker 1: cost five dollars.
- 6:35Speaker 3: I had fifty dollars bacon in the eggs me.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Too for.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I had an eighty five dollars meat and cheese tray
- 6:44Speaker 2: and fries.
- 6:48Speaker 1: And cheese.
- 6:49Speaker 3: You order meat and you got too much money, bro,
- 6:54Speaker 3: I like.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Cut, like.
- 7:00Speaker 3: You too rich for me?
- 7:14Speaker 1: Gave me.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I like that you too rich for me?
- 7:18Speaker 1: I like that.
- 7:19Speaker 2: Man, that's what happened when you end up dating, I
- 7:23Speaker 2: ain't gonna. I'm from the South Side of Chicago, but
- 7:25Speaker 2: I've dated. Unfortunately, I updated more than I can't admit to.
- 7:29Speaker 2: And the women that I've dated had put me on
- 7:32Speaker 2: the stuff I wouldn't put me on the ginger shots.
- 7:35Speaker 2: I don't know about. Like, it's a lot of things
- 7:37Speaker 2: I don't know. Trust, I trust them.
- 7:42Speaker 5: I love it for you because I know if you know,
- 7:44Speaker 5: one day I'm gonna order some secretion couci. Right, this
- 7:50Speaker 5: is not you, this isn't lunchable.
- 7:53Speaker 3: I'll pay out.
- 7:56Speaker 1: I did order really a big ass lunch.
- 7:59Speaker 7: Yeah, this is over here, miss rich cracker pottage sausage.
- 8:11Speaker 3: One day I'm gonna have somecie too.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 8:22Speaker 2: But just foolish this U Yeah, I got allowed to
- 8:27Speaker 2: say about beads here.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Let's keep going a whole lot.
- 8:31Speaker 2: First of all, I'll start with the fact that, uh,
- 8:34Speaker 2: I just I love being a part of it. And
- 8:36Speaker 2: it's still even though I've been doing it for years. Uh,
- 8:39Speaker 2: it still feels good and it's still so real to
- 8:42Speaker 2: be even like in that media fraternity, it is you
- 8:46Speaker 2: in there with people that you literally listen to or
- 8:50Speaker 2: cool and like it's still in my head still hard
- 8:53Speaker 2: for me to even realize, like me and Angie Martinez
- 8:55Speaker 2: is cool.
- 8:56Speaker 1: That's wild to me that I could be in Angie, Like, hey,
- 8:59Speaker 1: what up? You know what I mean? And you know
- 9:02Speaker 1: you got Angela.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Yee and Baby and Greg Street and keV and you
- 9:07Speaker 2: know what I mean, it's just your names goed d D, Gary,
- 9:10Speaker 2: it's just all of these different names and that Ferrari
- 9:13Speaker 2: like all of these you know, it's just it's it's
- 9:16Speaker 2: it's sane, you know, just to think about it. But
- 9:20Speaker 2: I think Guy's popfam. I ain't gon even lie to you, man.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Our little podcast that grew up got out to the
- 9:27Speaker 2: first it was just me. Then it was me and
- 9:29Speaker 2: Keyky and just to watch. Keky came to help me,
- 9:31Speaker 2: help me as assist me as a camera person and
- 9:35Speaker 2: media person really and now it's invited as a talent.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I watched Zach to come in.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Zach was like Zach was weekends from Nashville to watch
- 9:44Speaker 2: him go growing from nights for weekends to nights the
- 9:48Speaker 2: mornings now and they get invited to Then people were
- 9:51Speaker 2: coming up and was talking like Yo, what's up with y'all?
- 9:54Speaker 2: And I was watching, I'm watching how people reacting to y'all,
- 9:57Speaker 2: Like I'm like, oh, they really rock with my with
- 10:00Speaker 2: my people. And it's the thing about the podcast is
- 10:03Speaker 2: I guess the part of the podcast part it made
- 10:05Speaker 2: me feel really good is that it was getting credit
- 10:09Speaker 2: from the people in our fraternity. Right, so you're getting
- 10:12Speaker 2: like with as sitting it's a hall of fame personality.
- 10:15Speaker 1: You know that's a syndicated person.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I come up and say, hey, man, y'all, y'all podcasts lit,
- 10:20Speaker 2: our bosses, you know, Doc dip, y'all podcast nice, and
- 10:25Speaker 2: they saying stuff about it, and I know that that
- 10:27Speaker 2: means something like people were starting like yo, I heard
- 10:29Speaker 2: you got a day, or they were like where Keith
- 10:32Speaker 2: Key and zach at or what. It was just it
- 10:34Speaker 2: was such a surreal moment, man, just to see how
- 10:37Speaker 2: much you know, our little podcast that we did.
- 10:41Speaker 1: What did we started twenty twenty.
- 10:42Speaker 2: We started five years ago, five years ago, five years
- 10:46Speaker 2: ago has turned into this.
- 10:47Speaker 1: It's crazy. I can't believe it's been five years though.
- 10:50Speaker 3: I can't believe either.
- 10:51Speaker 5: I can't believe they get as we ain't never really
- 10:54Speaker 5: fell out. Let me knock on wood.
- 10:57Speaker 3: It's like, yeah, I ain't.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Never you know what I'm saying, Yeah, I ain't never been.
- 11:00Speaker 3: There years and doing something somebody and y'all cool.
- 11:03Speaker 4: That's crazy, that's weird. Y'all done. Y'all was there when
- 11:06Speaker 4: I got married. We did our last year, y'all, our
- 11:09Speaker 4: last I'm married.
- 11:11Speaker 3: You've been made just like y'all.
- 11:15Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 11:17Speaker 4: That is it's just crazy how quick five years really went.
- 11:22Speaker 4: And it feels like we just getting started. But it's
- 11:24Speaker 4: been five years.
- 11:26Speaker 1: We need to.
- 11:27Speaker 3: Throw a party, you know.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what. That's what it's over.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Nobody as soon as you celebrate it over, Okay, Okay, sorry, okay,
- 11:38Speaker 2: we're gonna we're gonna enjoy it. But I just say, like,
- 11:39Speaker 2: for me, it was just like damn like and that,
- 11:41Speaker 2: and you know, I've been doing this for I've had people,
- 11:44Speaker 2: you know, when I first stopped doing you know, the
- 11:47Speaker 2: tone of shag thing when they when the radio say
- 11:49Speaker 2: this side say hi, y'all gonna do y'all things separated?
- 11:52Speaker 1: You know, that was a scary moment for me.
- 11:54Speaker 2: And then you know, coming over to coming over here
- 11:57Speaker 2: and then podcast and just seeing like hearing people really
- 12:02Speaker 2: like yo, like from y'all even said.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Y'all it was a moment y'all had who y'all have with?
- 12:07Speaker 3: Oh, LaToya Lucky. Shout out to LaToya Lucky.
- 12:09Speaker 5: And we interviewed her and when the interview rapped, she
- 12:12Speaker 5: was like she got up and she was like, y'all
- 12:14Speaker 5: too from Chicago, Right, y'all do that other show y'all do?
- 12:17Speaker 5: Like the podcasting and now y'all doing the like she
- 12:19Speaker 5: had she like put it together her man, like y'all
- 12:22Speaker 5: did the podcast, and now y'all doing.
- 12:23Speaker 1: The shame room.
- 12:24Speaker 5: And she was like, I'm proud of y'all. That's really dope.
- 12:26Speaker 5: This is LaToya Lucky. You know what I'm saying, who
- 12:29Speaker 5: I don't even The problem with me is I don't
- 12:31Speaker 5: think nobody can hear what I'm saying.
- 12:33Speaker 3: But when I be a here just talking crazy saying oh,
- 12:36Speaker 3: I'd be.
- 12:36Speaker 5: Like I think and I'm just talking to y'all too,
- 12:38Speaker 5: and the Poe fan, but it's actual people on the
- 12:41Speaker 5: other end of this thing that here the crazy things
- 12:44Speaker 5: we say and they don't forget. So that was like
- 12:47Speaker 5: those type of moments was like insane to me, like
- 12:50Speaker 5: people being like, I know y'all are, oh yeah, well,
- 12:52Speaker 5: like you know, or coming over and they were excited
- 12:54Speaker 5: to talk to us, like yeah, that stuff is still
- 12:58Speaker 5: very surreal to feel.
- 13:00Speaker 4: Like that, especially Toyat Lucky was a big win in
- 13:02Speaker 4: Kirk Franklin said he was like, I've seen y'all before,
- 13:05Speaker 4: I've seen y'all show. He's seen the clips, I said
- 13:08Speaker 4: Kirk Franklin, frank God, watch.
- 13:18Speaker 2: The thing of it is because I know angel and
- 13:20Speaker 2: I think was probably like, I mean, we got a
- 13:23Speaker 2: lot bag we got. I mean pretty much everybody on
- 13:26Speaker 2: on the radio side was giving us love, but I was,
- 13:28Speaker 2: and I'm cool with Angela, but just for her, I
- 13:31Speaker 2: know she's normally quiet. She's like, hey, Tom, we'll chop
- 13:34Speaker 2: it up a little bit. We have a conversation. We
- 13:36Speaker 2: got good repport. But she made it her point to
- 13:39Speaker 2: be like, yo, y'all podcast lit. Yeah, And that meant
- 13:42Speaker 2: a lot to me. That's the Hall of Fame personality
- 13:44Speaker 2: that made that. That meant a lot. She like stopped
- 13:46Speaker 2: in the middle of kind of you know, I ain't
- 13:47Speaker 2: gonna lie that thing lit. So I appreciate that for sure.
- 13:50Speaker 1: For sure.
- 13:50Speaker 3: And that's five years.
- 13:52Speaker 5: That's five years of work, consistency, investment on all of
- 13:56Speaker 5: our ends. This is completely funded by us, this is
- 14:00Speaker 5: produced by us. This is that's five years of work.
- 14:03Speaker 5: And so I mean, it's it's it's it's shocking to
- 14:06Speaker 5: see it, you know, the results, But that don't happen
- 14:08Speaker 5: when you're not consistent. It don't happen when you don't
- 14:10Speaker 5: put on the work and the effort. So for people
- 14:12Speaker 5: thinking we just got this overnight type of thing. That's
- 14:15Speaker 5: not the case.
- 14:17Speaker 4: And if you go back and look, go back and
- 14:19Speaker 4: look at our first episode, cheeky cheeks, bigger, I look dusty,
- 14:29Speaker 4: So I look at Toe up, dusty toe stealing like
- 14:34Speaker 4: he had money.
- 14:34Speaker 1: But that was that was like, go look at the
- 14:38Speaker 1: first episode.
- 14:39Speaker 2: I say, look at us five years ago.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Yeah it is.
- 14:43Speaker 2: But again though I think and again and I and
- 14:45Speaker 2: I say this and it should be real.
- 14:48Speaker 1: Shout out to you pod fan.
- 14:49Speaker 2: First of all, it's done this to be possible without
- 14:51Speaker 2: y'all really tapping in the way, y'all doing all of
- 14:53Speaker 2: the people that.
- 14:53Speaker 1: Showed us love. Uh, we had podfam out there.
- 14:56Speaker 2: But the thing of it is is that this this
- 14:59Speaker 2: ain't really all us, this God on this one, because
- 15:01Speaker 2: there's plenty of people that put together shows of three people.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Uh, that it's no guarantee it's gonna work.
- 15:08Speaker 2: And then the magic that happens with us is meant
- 15:13Speaker 2: to me means that this was supposed to happen for sure,
- 15:16Speaker 2: for sure. But let's go ahead, man, now that we
- 15:18Speaker 2: are dumb reminiscing about it, let's talk about the actual awards.
- 15:23Speaker 4: Hold on, before we get in there. We got some
- 15:25Speaker 4: other things that we need to now use that a
- 15:29Speaker 4: few things that the pot fam need to know because
- 15:31Speaker 4: you know, we travel, we go places. Okay, y'all, so
- 15:36Speaker 4: oh ship.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Let me tell y'all he gotta written down. No, I
- 15:42Speaker 1: ain't got to riden out the first day I got.
- 15:45Speaker 4: So we getting ready we leave after the first day
- 15:48Speaker 4: of the radio rooms. It's a rigorous schedule, like you
- 15:51Speaker 4: literally work from ten to five non stop, all right,
- 15:54Speaker 4: so we so yeah, yeah.
- 15:58Speaker 1: You gotta tell us to us, please tell the story
- 16:01Speaker 1: when you're.
- 16:02Speaker 5: So Usually, like Tom said, we go to bt W
- 16:05Speaker 5: was I'm his camera woman, so that I go and
- 16:08Speaker 5: make him look great and we knock it out and
- 16:10Speaker 5: kill it. This time because he had turned me up
- 16:12Speaker 5: that I got everybody there's a talent.
- 16:14Speaker 3: So I was on the other side of the room.
- 16:16Speaker 3: I'm working like he's working right.
- 16:18Speaker 5: So tall don't have no camera man now with him, right,
- 16:21Speaker 5: ain't nobody else want to buy in and send themselves?
- 16:25Speaker 3: Nobody else working here.
- 16:26Speaker 5: I would have been like, he keep going with it,
- 16:28Speaker 5: I'm going and I would have but y'all a hustle,
- 16:31Speaker 5: y'all getting on anyway, So he had no camera man,
- 16:35Speaker 5: So you know, we over here in the shade room,
- 16:37Speaker 5: knocking down all these interviews. But the moment we had
- 16:40Speaker 5: Zach would be like, I gotta go to the bathroom.
- 16:42Speaker 5: Me I hold it all day. So he would leave.
- 16:44Speaker 5: When he would leave to go to the bathroom, I said,
- 16:45Speaker 5: let me go over here and check on Tall.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Baby.
- 16:48Speaker 4: I walked over there and checked on Toll. I ain't
- 16:50Speaker 4: never seen Tall sweating. Toll was sweating. His camera was crooked.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Why you.
- 17:01Speaker 4: The moment I walked up, I couldn't even I couldn't
- 17:04Speaker 4: even say like, hey, you know, he was.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Like this is crazy.
- 17:10Speaker 3: The press record and then he had a talk and
- 17:14Speaker 3: then I got he was losing it, y'all. Lord, it
- 17:18Speaker 3: was so oh, it was so funny.
- 17:21Speaker 2: God, birthday, Sure, I cried, I c I saw me
- 17:28Speaker 2: saying that look I sweat through my hat. He showed
- 17:33Speaker 2: me his hat.
- 17:33Speaker 3: He sweating like a big girl. I felt one in
- 17:37Speaker 3: my heart. I said, I gotta go get my face.
- 17:39Speaker 3: I got a little play. I got it. It was
- 17:41Speaker 3: so funny. Oh my god. So that was out. You know,
- 17:46Speaker 3: it started the first day. And then when we.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Left out here.
- 17:50Speaker 4: Then when then when we leave, so we leave, you know,
- 17:53Speaker 4: everybody is so hungry. Everybody ready to go. Tone is
- 17:56Speaker 4: rushing to everybody, come on, we gotta eat. Come on,
- 18:00Speaker 4: we gotta eat.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So we have to go.
- 18:03Speaker 4: We gotta go drop our equipment off and then we're
- 18:05Speaker 4: gonna come back down and go get something to eat.
- 18:08Speaker 4: So we drop our stuff off. Everybody get ready to
- 18:11Speaker 4: go eat. We get ready to get in the uber. Right,
- 18:14Speaker 4: So it was four of us, right, four of us,
- 18:18Speaker 4: Four of us getting in in the Uber. You know,
- 18:21Speaker 4: they always put me in the back because I'm little,
- 18:24Speaker 4: and that's how she go. So they pulled the kick.
- 18:26Speaker 4: He pulled the seatback from me. Kick, He pulled the
- 18:29Speaker 4: seatback from me to get in. So I get in
- 18:32Speaker 4: and I'm in, Okay, then get in gip you here
- 18:36Speaker 4: her dough Tone is actually sitting in the front seat with.
- 18:39Speaker 2: The uber drive. I don't know what the hell he
- 18:41Speaker 2: was talking about. What I said, I said, come on,
- 18:48Speaker 2: let's go eat. Yeah, that come on.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Let's go eat. She took that and let's go. She
- 18:53Speaker 1: put that bug in drive.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Kiki's still outside getting in with one foot, I'll pull
- 19:00Speaker 2: it off.
- 19:03Speaker 1: The lady hit the brake so hard.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I oh my god, you're almost killed.
- 19:12Speaker 4: I tried to stop the cow with my hand. Zack
- 19:18Speaker 4: took forever to get back there. So she's thinking, I
- 19:20Speaker 4: got to be in the car back and now this
- 19:22Speaker 4: lady almost drugged me in front of the hotel.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Believe it.
- 19:26Speaker 2: I was laughing so hard. Yeah, they thought it was
- 19:29Speaker 2: so fun. I was scared, an we can't lose that.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Well, didn't carry it out, just like when I almost
- 19:34Speaker 4: died going up that hill that him may dine.
- 19:36Speaker 3: They was trying to walk me up in there. He
- 19:39Speaker 3: didn't care. He was like, he that think is funny.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Told didn't care.
- 19:42Speaker 5: The lady that the driver is terrified because she's scared.
- 19:45Speaker 5: I'm a sewer, so she's just the whole tank.
- 19:47Speaker 3: You okay?
- 19:47Speaker 5: And I'm like, but your miss shot almost just sad.
- 19:50Speaker 5: I don't know if I'm okay. So that was crazy.
- 19:54Speaker 4: So then you would think, you know, so I guess
- 19:57Speaker 4: he shook up.
- 19:58Speaker 1: You know, he shook up. She shook up from the riot.
- 20:02Speaker 4: So we get on the right. We finally get to
- 20:04Speaker 4: the restaurant. It's a lot of traffic, y'all. It's traffic.
- 20:07Speaker 4: L A has a ton of traffic. We get out.
- 20:10Speaker 4: We say, man, let's just go. We at the restaurant
- 20:12Speaker 4: now tone before we get there. You know what I'm saying,
- 20:16Speaker 4: Being at tone is the betteran And he goes to
- 20:18Speaker 4: l a all the time, he pointing at everything, telling
- 20:20Speaker 4: us about everything like a tour guy.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Yeah you know what I'm saying.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Yeah, that's right there. Yeah, that's you see that. That's
- 20:26Speaker 4: the mind, y'all. That's my spot right there. You see
- 20:28Speaker 4: that right there, that's the rooftop. I'll be here right there.
- 20:30Speaker 4: You see that spot right there, that's where I usually go. Yeah,
- 20:33Speaker 4: when I need a red bull, I go.
- 20:34Speaker 1: To that store. You see that right there. I do that.
- 20:37Speaker 1: I've got I've got to show, showing us everything. I
- 20:42Speaker 1: love it though. I go down there to Kiff, just
- 20:45Speaker 1: walk down there and get me a.
- 20:46Speaker 3: Fig you know too, Rich.
- 20:48Speaker 1: He's showing us.
- 20:49Speaker 4: He's in full full tour guy, showing us everything.
- 20:55Speaker 1: You ain't nowhere. He's telling us everything you like?
- 21:00Speaker 4: All right, okay, So we finally get there, and I thought,
- 21:05Speaker 4: you know, when we got to the restaurant, I thought
- 21:07Speaker 4: I thought it was gonna be like a regular restaurant
- 21:09Speaker 4: where you go through the dough. But no, this this
- 21:11Speaker 4: thing had steps. You know what I'm saying, This this
- 21:14Speaker 4: restaurant you go up, and then you gotta go up
- 21:16Speaker 4: the steps in the front doors at the top of
- 21:18Speaker 4: these steps. So we going up the steps. Tone ain't
- 21:23Speaker 4: seeing them up front, you know. Ki Key's in the
- 21:25Speaker 4: middle and I'm holding down the rear and were walking
- 21:29Speaker 4: up the steps. Now they were kind of steek, okay,
- 21:33Speaker 4: And I looked at ki Key the first I was
- 21:36Speaker 4: worried about Kiki for the first round of steps because
- 21:40Speaker 4: they were steeve, and I said, let me see. I
- 21:42Speaker 4: hope ki make you know what I'm saying. I know
- 21:45Speaker 4: she almost got ran over. I know she hungry. We
- 21:48Speaker 4: ain't ate nothing all day. She had a little discombobulated.
- 21:52Speaker 4: But then we get to the second round of steps. Y'all,
- 21:54Speaker 4: it couldn't have been no more than seven steps. You
- 21:56Speaker 4: think she's gonna knock that out? When I tell you
- 22:00Speaker 4: them last four steps kick Kicky add.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Up.
- 22:05Speaker 3: I had on a long skirt.
- 22:08Speaker 5: My long hit some Jordan's I stepped on the front
- 22:13Speaker 5: of my skirt.
- 22:14Speaker 4: She said, all I hear what he saying. All I
- 22:19Speaker 4: hear and she stumbles and I'm thinking, okay. It was like, oh,
- 22:26Speaker 4: Kicky just stumbled a little bit. She'll be all right.
- 22:28Speaker 1: But no, she kept going.
- 22:30Speaker 4: She was like, didn't get a dollar, had the hand
- 22:33Speaker 4: on the floor. When I tell you, I couldn't stop laughing.
- 22:37Speaker 4: PIFAs Kiki fell up them stairs like Joe Biden.
- 22:41Speaker 1: She fell.
- 22:43Speaker 4: She fell up them stairs like you know Joe Biden
- 22:46Speaker 4: was falling up the stairs like that. She fell just
- 22:49Speaker 4: like that the video or Trump.
- 22:51Speaker 5: He just fell up some stairs. I tell you, like,
- 22:53Speaker 5: this was me. That was yeah, that was now. It
- 22:56Speaker 5: wasn't a lot of stairs, so I wasn't out.
- 22:58Speaker 3: Of the north.
- 22:58Speaker 5: I won tag he want the fat people problem it
- 23:01Speaker 5: was I had. If you go look at my outfit
- 23:02Speaker 5: from the day, I had a very long skirt on
- 23:05Speaker 5: and I stepped on the front of it and almost
- 23:07Speaker 5: took myself out.
- 23:08Speaker 2: But I thought we had made it all. I didn't
- 23:09Speaker 2: even see. I didn't see none of that. I was
- 23:11Speaker 2: already turned the corner.
- 23:12Speaker 5: When I tell y'all, he don't care you could be
- 23:15Speaker 5: out with tone and get kidnapped, shot.
- 23:17Speaker 3: He gonna go on about whatever he gonna care.
- 23:20Speaker 2: I was so hungry, bro, I was trying to get
- 23:24Speaker 2: in there and sit down because that again you said it,
- 23:26Speaker 2: that was first day.
- 23:28Speaker 1: That first day, I was hungry.
- 23:30Speaker 2: I was tired. I was frustrated. I sweated like I
- 23:33Speaker 2: was running track.
- 23:35Speaker 1: I couldn't if people coming over and looking at me
- 23:38Speaker 1: like you okay, you by yourself? Who the producer?
- 23:41Speaker 5: And that's all Tony, that's all a person like Tony,
- 23:44Speaker 5: Like somebody'd be like, oh my god, he gonna he
- 23:47Speaker 5: ain't gonna take it up.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Not all he had to do was he record. I'd
- 23:50Speaker 3: have been everywhere by myself and it's just fine.
- 23:53Speaker 1: But tall I need, I didn't know. I want. I
- 23:57Speaker 1: am talent.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I need to be be seated, iven be thinking about
- 24:03Speaker 2: my next question, not if I got the goddamn camera focused.
- 24:07Speaker 2: I don't need to be thinking about getting drops. I
- 24:10Speaker 2: don't need to be thinking about lighting. I don't want
- 24:12Speaker 2: to think about if we in framed. I want to
- 24:15Speaker 2: talk and have a great conversation with this, with this
- 24:18Speaker 2: entertainer right next to me, to produce great content.
- 24:21Speaker 1: That is what and what was frustrated me.
- 24:24Speaker 2: I frustrated at this point, I like, I don't know
- 24:28Speaker 2: what to do.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I didn't have a game plan. I just was frustrated.
- 24:32Speaker 2: I'm looking at everybody else, all the other talent, Cooling, Chiller,
- 24:36Speaker 2: like they got producers, they get water.
- 24:39Speaker 1: They like it.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Just it bothered my soul and bothered my soul. But
- 24:45Speaker 2: shout out to Kiki Kik. Kiki saw how frustrated I
- 24:49Speaker 2: was the first day. It came with a game plan
- 24:51Speaker 2: and talked me down. Look, tone tomorrow, this is how
- 24:54Speaker 2: we're gonna do it, do this, this, this and.
- 24:56Speaker 1: This, and then I was cool. The second day. I
- 24:59Speaker 1: was our super cool.
- 25:01Speaker 3: He was cooking the second day.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Because I was you know, I hadn't been to BT.
- 25:04Speaker 2: I took a year off unfortunately, and I just so
- 25:07Speaker 2: I came in kind of like still with the mindset
- 25:10Speaker 2: of how it used to be.
- 25:11Speaker 3: Right when I was with you.
- 25:12Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, when you had somebody with you. So don't
- 25:17Speaker 1: forget to do this. Okay, cool?
- 25:18Speaker 2: Somebody man, Trey called me. I think Trey Man is
- 25:21Speaker 2: helling me. I Trey was calling me. I was in
- 25:23Speaker 2: the middle of having conversation. It was a lot, man,
- 25:27Speaker 2: it was a lot. Shout out to Trey and Brie
- 25:29Speaker 2: specific yead down in the studio too, appreciate y'all. Oh
- 25:35Speaker 2: my gosh, Okay, what else do we got to talk about?
- 25:39Speaker 3: Talk about the actual.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Show, about the BET Awards, the show so super dope. Yeah,
- 25:44Speaker 1: the show.
- 25:45Speaker 2: I have not got a chance because I was on
- 25:47Speaker 2: the airplane, got a chance to see all of it.
- 25:50Speaker 2: I was watching on the airplane and then I fell asleep.
- 25:52Speaker 2: But it looks amazing. I'm gonna watch it over. And
- 25:54Speaker 2: I was watching BET Awards a thousand times on BT.
- 25:58Speaker 2: But I mean, I ain't never stopped on.
- 26:00Speaker 5: I pray it always, Like the BT Awards is so
- 26:03Speaker 5: important to our culture. Yes, it's so important. Like I
- 26:06Speaker 5: just it's just something about it's special. It's just it's
- 26:10Speaker 5: just special. I don't know how to explain it. But
- 26:12Speaker 5: if you are a part of hip hop or you know,
- 26:15Speaker 5: just our industry, it is such an important thing. And
- 26:17Speaker 5: I feel like I just we just need to always
- 26:20Speaker 5: value that.
- 26:20Speaker 2: I'm about to do. I'm about to do it, Joe Biden,
- 26:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna say it. You're not black boy if you
- 26:25Speaker 2: don't go to the BT Wars. No, no, no, there's
- 26:29Speaker 2: no to me in my opinion. And haven't done it
- 26:33Speaker 2: for a while, and then you know, you really appreciate
- 26:36Speaker 2: something you don't do it, you know, even though it
- 26:38Speaker 2: was a year off, you get back there and you
- 26:42Speaker 2: just it's so hard to explain, dude, just the feeling
- 26:46Speaker 2: the great energy in the room that's just being around
- 26:49Speaker 2: your contemporaries and the artists are coming in. They ready
- 26:52Speaker 2: to talk, they ready to they want to they want
- 26:55Speaker 2: to promote, they want to have these great interactions with you.
- 26:58Speaker 1: It's just from their war.
- 27:00Speaker 2: So it's black folks getting dressed up, looking nice and
- 27:02Speaker 2: it just man like, I just think that is the
- 27:05Speaker 2: super Bowl of Black culture. And I think if you
- 27:07Speaker 2: are in this business, you are doing yourself an extreme
- 27:11Speaker 2: disservice by trying to pick and choose. This is the
- 27:14Speaker 2: one you say on I'm here, I'm coming here, and
- 27:18Speaker 2: the other ones you figure it out. You figure it
- 27:21Speaker 2: out for people that's on tour and all of that.
- 27:23Speaker 2: But it's just it's important to me.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Man. Man. It was one of these.
- 27:26Speaker 4: This year's awards was one of the most beautiful awards
- 27:29Speaker 4: I've seen, hosted by Kevin Hart.
- 27:31Speaker 1: First of all, BT.
- 27:32Speaker 4: Had a budget this year and no no dollar was
- 27:37Speaker 4: spared from Kevin Hart to the Jamie Fox tribute. Just
- 27:41Speaker 4: think about the people they had singing to Jamie Fox tribute, Babyface,
- 27:44Speaker 4: come on man. Teddy Riley came out playing the come
- 27:48Speaker 4: on Stevie, wonder you talking about real legends, and I
- 27:52Speaker 4: just love the range, like we celebrated black culture in
- 27:55Speaker 4: such a way. I'm sitting here watching glow Rilla perform
- 27:57Speaker 4: on the same stage Babyface did. I'm watched Lucky Day
- 28:02Speaker 4: and Snoop and who else, Mariah Carey, Tianna Taylors. The
- 28:09Speaker 4: it was just beautiful.
- 28:11Speaker 1: It's important.
- 28:12Speaker 4: It's just it's so important, doll and I just think
- 28:16Speaker 4: it's amazing.
- 28:17Speaker 1: It's the best, it's the best.
- 28:19Speaker 4: One O six in Park and then b T honors
- 28:22Speaker 4: things that mattered in our culture, in Black culture one
- 28:24Speaker 4: on six Park and don't get honored nowhere else but
- 28:27Speaker 4: at an award. And they deserve it, you know what
- 28:29Speaker 4: I'm saying, Like it deserves it. I'm not saying, they
- 28:32Speaker 4: definitely deserve it. The legendary show us that raised us,
- 28:37Speaker 4: you know. So to see these hosts, even the old hosts,
- 28:40Speaker 4: get their flowers, you know what I'm saying, Like seeing
- 28:42Speaker 4: ters Ja, he's still doing his thing, he was hosting
- 28:46Speaker 4: the pre show and then Free coming out getting her flowers.
- 28:50Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, Like, you can't you can't
- 28:52Speaker 4: beat that.
- 28:53Speaker 2: We were like we grew up on the on them
- 28:55Speaker 2: people and and it's a it's a it's a shame
- 28:59Speaker 2: that some times we can forget because sometimes black folks
- 29:02Speaker 2: could beil what's new now and next?
- 29:05Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 29:06Speaker 2: But this is where you know, we don't have to
- 29:08Speaker 2: worry about what happened to Babyface at that other show,
- 29:12Speaker 2: remember we had. We don't have to worry about it
- 29:15Speaker 2: because everybody on that carpet knows the importance of babyface't
- 29:19Speaker 2: know who you were.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Yes, I wanted to move past him.
- 29:22Speaker 2: That never happened to be so that that would never
- 29:24Speaker 2: happen to the BET Awards because people are in our culture.
- 29:27Speaker 1: I had, we see baby Face, We're like, oh snap, that's.
- 29:31Speaker 2: Babyface, you know what I mean, Like Stevie Wonder And
- 29:35Speaker 2: it's like the way the room shifted when when Sierra
- 29:38Speaker 2: came in the building, when Tamar came in the building,
- 29:41Speaker 2: Does that.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Happen everywhere everywhere? And no, they might.
- 29:46Speaker 2: They might try to Sierra, that's Russell Wilson's wife, but
- 29:49Speaker 2: we know that is Russell Wilson's wife. But damn it,
- 29:52Speaker 2: that's Sierra too. That's that's Sierra. That's Tamar Braxte. He
- 29:55Speaker 2: comes from a legendary family that you know, you got
- 29:59Speaker 2: Leeks doing stuff.
- 30:00Speaker 1: You got warrior.
- 30:00Speaker 2: Its just it is black coaching and and it's just
- 30:04Speaker 2: for me again like the every time I'm there, man,
- 30:08Speaker 2: And even when I talk about it, people ask me,
- 30:10Speaker 2: like about about the Beta, was like, man, Tom, you
- 30:13Speaker 2: know how is that?
- 30:13Speaker 1: Like, Man, it's a lot of work. Like it ain't
- 30:15Speaker 1: no joke. It's a lot of work.
- 30:17Speaker 2: But it is to me, the most important thing that
- 30:20Speaker 2: I do throughout the year.
- 30:21Speaker 1: It's no bigger event that I do at all, period.
- 30:24Speaker 2: And just say just from every aspect, like the I
- 30:29Speaker 2: think it's I don't want to I can't.
- 30:30Speaker 1: I don't want to mess up her name, the young Lady,
- 30:32Speaker 1: the Black one of the black actors.
- 30:34Speaker 2: She's a black actress in the Old Guard. She went
- 30:37Speaker 2: to school with Jpaul. I didn't even know that. So
- 30:40Speaker 2: it's just like we just it just was so many
- 30:42Speaker 2: cool last moments.
- 30:43Speaker 5: It's and my favorite part from this year is it
- 30:46Speaker 5: was the theme of black people understanding the important I
- 30:49Speaker 5: feel like it clicked for all levels of celebrity that
- 30:52Speaker 5: this is our show and this is where we need
- 30:54Speaker 5: to be. Kendrick made effort to be their babyface, Mariyah.
- 30:59Speaker 5: These are icons and people with that. You know, for
- 31:02Speaker 5: a while, it was like we ain't gone they you know,
- 31:05Speaker 5: somebody else can accept the award. Sison them pulled up.
- 31:07Speaker 5: They on tour right now, they pulled up to be
- 31:10Speaker 5: a part of that night. And like seeing that and
- 31:12Speaker 5: seeing it was somebody in their speech that kept referencing
- 31:15Speaker 5: like this is important. I think it was Kevin Hart.
- 31:17Speaker 5: Maybe Jamie Fox. Oh yeah, Jamie Fox is like the
- 31:19Speaker 5: Oscar cool. But the BET Award is what is what matters.
- 31:24Speaker 5: And I think that's the theme that we need to
- 31:26Speaker 5: keep it on moving forward. Like you know, you if
- 31:29Speaker 5: you can go to the Oscars, then your ass need
- 31:31Speaker 5: to be at the BT Awards. You can go to
- 31:32Speaker 5: the Grammys. You need to be at the BT Awards.
- 31:34Speaker 5: I don't care what's going on. This needs to be
- 31:36Speaker 5: our celebration because nobody is gonna celebrate.
- 31:39Speaker 4: Us like us. It's not it's not gonna happen.
- 31:42Speaker 5: And and the way and even the way they did
- 31:45Speaker 5: radio this year was so much better, Like it just
- 31:47Speaker 5: you know, y'all had these beautiful booths that were set
- 31:50Speaker 5: up and it showed, you know, the logos and the
- 31:52Speaker 5: stations and these are big radio brands across across the country,
- 31:55Speaker 5: and you had everybody who's important in black media was
- 31:59Speaker 5: in that room and that type. It's just like it
- 32:02Speaker 5: it's so important. That's why somebody like me will pay.
- 32:04Speaker 5: I will pay to go to BT. I will pay
- 32:07Speaker 5: my own if I need to be there because it's
- 32:10Speaker 5: that important.
- 32:11Speaker 4: So it's just and then they had so many things
- 32:14Speaker 4: around it. You know, they had the BT experience. You
- 32:16Speaker 4: don't forget Jagged Edge. You know, Legend did a whole
- 32:19Speaker 4: concert that was packed with people singing word for word, gloorially,
- 32:22Speaker 4: throwing off types of dope after parties, different things like that.
- 32:25Speaker 2: It's so many things. Jagged Edge will probably and said
- 32:27Speaker 2: what's up? Jed deshoyed me. Really then they say what's up, bro,
- 32:30Speaker 2: what's up with y'all? Was like, all, hell, no, I
- 32:32Speaker 2: remember we interviewed them, Jacket Edge, that's crazy.
- 32:35Speaker 5: I started singing to him when they walked back, and
- 32:37Speaker 5: they laughed and gave me a hand and we sugar
- 32:40Speaker 5: gets their thing.
- 32:41Speaker 3: I started singing.
- 32:42Speaker 5: It's just like, you're not gonna get those type of
- 32:44Speaker 5: opportunities in moments nowhere else. And it's a beautiful celebration,
- 32:47Speaker 5: a black celebration weekend and you don't ain't no crime.
- 32:50Speaker 5: You ain't hearing about nobody got shot. Ain't nobody. Now
- 32:54Speaker 5: that's a cookout, boy, That's what it is. And it's
- 32:56Speaker 5: just it's so important, and I was so pitched yesterday.
- 33:00Speaker 5: I'm not gonna lie that I wasn't in the room
- 33:04Speaker 5: because I, you know, came back for the actual show
- 33:08Speaker 5: because you know, two K Yeah, goddamn, it was the
- 33:13Speaker 5: part of it. You know, like if it was any
- 33:17Speaker 5: show that I should have been at, it was last night.
- 33:19Speaker 1: It would be two K man.
- 33:22Speaker 3: That had never happened.
- 33:24Speaker 2: So let's you know, yeah, we won't talk about that,
- 33:27Speaker 2: but you uh oh yeah. I made up with me
- 33:30Speaker 2: and Claudia Jordan made up.
- 33:32Speaker 3: Oh that was nice, had a little reconciliation.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Why do you keep beefing with these ladies because.
- 33:39Speaker 4: Last week money we want to.
- 33:45Speaker 1: Ladies. I love ladies.
- 33:47Speaker 3: I was just like ladies.
- 33:50Speaker 2: I love the ladies. But no, it was cool though.
- 33:52Speaker 2: We got a chance to shove it up. Now we
- 33:54Speaker 2: hadn't really seen each other face to face, and the
- 33:56Speaker 2: time that we have each other, it's worked.
- 33:58Speaker 1: So it's been like, all right, I got to interview you.
- 34:01Speaker 1: You you're gonna answer these interview questions.
- 34:03Speaker 2: We're gonna keep it moving, but we got a chance
- 34:05Speaker 2: to talk it out and have a good time.
- 34:06Speaker 1: And I realized that Marcus shust is rich. And I
- 34:10Speaker 1: got and I got Marcus Shuston to say, what's up
- 34:12Speaker 1: the key key y'all?
- 34:14Speaker 3: Yes you did.
- 34:14Speaker 1: I did. I was excited about that.
- 34:16Speaker 3: You were so proud of that.
- 34:18Speaker 1: I was proud of you.
- 34:19Speaker 5: And like he said it like, oh, Marie, Anna's on
- 34:21Speaker 5: the phone. He was like, kekey, hold on, got some fire.
- 34:26Speaker 5: You sure did, got some fire?
- 34:28Speaker 4: I said, okay, I said, okay, hey Marcus. It was
- 34:35Speaker 4: like a couple of men kind of like this what
- 34:37Speaker 4: it was kind of like what I saw when I
- 34:39Speaker 4: sat looking at It's like how you know how you
- 34:41Speaker 4: ask your mama for some timbling boots and you was
- 34:45Speaker 4: like it was like mama wants some tim and then
- 34:49Speaker 4: I'm gonna be like, okay, I got something. I got
- 34:51Speaker 4: them boots.
- 34:52Speaker 6: You like.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Colorado? Okay, they like him.
- 35:04Speaker 8: It's like, bros, that's really ivy.
- 35:16Speaker 4: It ain't even be your mommy, like your granny something
- 35:19Speaker 4: your granny, so you can't tell you ready like that.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Ain't that ain't quite it? Granny.
- 35:27Speaker 3: I love the Colorados.
- 35:30Speaker 5: But Tom knows how important that era of music and
- 35:34Speaker 5: that tug movement was to me. It really, it really was.
- 35:37Speaker 5: It's most important thing to me. So I appreciate that.
- 35:40Speaker 5: Any time you see any of.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Them, I'm gonna show up market.
- 35:43Speaker 2: And I found out Marcus is basically a movie exact,
- 35:47Speaker 2: not even basically is a movie exact.
- 35:49Speaker 1: Him and Chris stokeside footage films. They do it.
- 35:53Speaker 5: Anything you see that says footage films, it's Marcus and Chris.
- 35:57Speaker 1: That's crazy. So that's what they're doing. Love that, Yeah,
- 36:00Speaker 1: I love it. I like, I like, that's one of
- 36:02Speaker 1: my things.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Like when I see people that have just gotten quiet
- 36:05Speaker 2: and you might not even know what's going on, and
- 36:07Speaker 2: they and they got a lot of stuff going on.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Shout out to them for that. Shout out to them.
- 36:12Speaker 1: All Right, whatever Kiky gets quiet, I'm gonna just sha
- 36:18Speaker 1: I will move off.
- 36:22Speaker 2: No no no no no no no no no no.
- 36:26Speaker 2: What we're gonna do is talk about Britney Renner. Uh,
- 36:30Speaker 2: Brittany Renner. I saw this moment and I was just like,
- 36:33Speaker 2: I actually watched this moment happen with Cosic care.
- 36:37Speaker 1: Let me get Brittany Brittany. It was Blueleg Care.
- 36:40Speaker 6: We got married April six and divorce May twenty eight.
- 36:43Speaker 1: She divorced, Yes, but.
- 36:44Speaker 6: There is a ninety day waiting period in a SLAM
- 36:48Speaker 6: where it's basically you have ninety days to see if
- 36:50Speaker 6: you're pregnant because then the you know, he would be responsible, right.
- 36:54Speaker 6: And then also in those ninety days it's for reconciliation because
- 36:57Speaker 6: the law wants you to stay married. And then during
- 37:00Speaker 6: those ninety days you are not to entertain anybody romantically.
- 37:03Speaker 6: So what I will say is that Islam has made
- 37:05Speaker 6: my life a lot easier. I think, even with this
- 37:07Speaker 6: transition and you know, things changing, you know, honestly, it's like,
- 37:11Speaker 6: I don't think anybody gets married to not stay married.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Yeah, look, that is that is an interesting thing. Bootleg Cav.
- 37:22Speaker 2: First of all, she only interviewed with Bootleg Cav.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Yeah, not really, Yeah, that's it.
- 37:28Speaker 2: She came in and tried to care shout out to him.
- 37:31Speaker 2: And I was watching there, like what they're saying, and
- 37:34Speaker 2: then I saw Papabo social media.
- 37:36Speaker 1: So is this is all the publicity stuff? What do
- 37:38Speaker 1: you think, Kiki?
- 37:39Speaker 5: I don't think, And I'm gonna be honest with you,
- 37:41Speaker 5: I don't care about them, no disrespect and love me
- 37:45Speaker 5: some Kevin Gates music. A big fan of Kevin Gates music.
- 37:49Speaker 5: I don't care about this relationship with Brittany. I don't
- 37:52Speaker 5: know her, I don't check for her. It's no disrespect,
- 37:54Speaker 5: it's nothing like that. But it's like I don't care enough.
- 37:58Speaker 5: You know what I'm saying. I don't even because I
- 38:00Speaker 5: saw them. I saw the thing. I think it's interesting
- 38:03Speaker 5: that they made this big announcement that they was married
- 38:06Speaker 5: and he went to the premiere and I saw all that,
- 38:08Speaker 5: and now y'all divorced. But it's like, did we think
- 38:10Speaker 5: that it was gonna go any other way?
- 38:12Speaker 1: Well, here's the thing.
- 38:13Speaker 3: I didn't think.
- 38:13Speaker 1: So here's the thing, Kiki.
- 38:15Speaker 4: Kevin Gates was sitting there courtside at the Lakers game
- 38:20Speaker 4: talking mess about the goat Lebron James and his wife
- 38:24Speaker 4: who've been together decades with children, and you're talking about
- 38:29Speaker 4: own like the way his wife look at him, and
- 38:32Speaker 4: that ain't I wouldn't want to be in that position.
- 38:34Speaker 4: And you you your marriage last fifty days, yep, So
- 38:38Speaker 4: what does your opinion matter exactly? And you thought you
- 38:41Speaker 4: was doing something sitting up there court side at that
- 38:45Speaker 4: Lakers game.
- 38:46Speaker 1: So I won't. I just won't.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Lebron ain't gonna say it because he's too classy. So
- 38:50Speaker 4: I'm gonna say it for him.
- 38:55Speaker 1: That's what Lebron want to do.
- 38:56Speaker 4: It is like, see, see you was talking all this
- 38:58Speaker 4: stuff about my lady, though you had something to say
- 39:00Speaker 4: about my wife who here and been here, and you
- 39:03Speaker 4: you can't last fifty days?
- 39:05Speaker 3: And what was the clip that you played because she
- 39:06Speaker 3: didn't even say did she say anything about the marriage?
- 39:09Speaker 1: She said it was over and got a divorce.
- 39:14Speaker 4: They just in the waiting period because I think she
- 39:16Speaker 4: said in her religion that they can't something. They have
- 39:19Speaker 4: a ninety day grace period where she can you know,
- 39:21Speaker 4: she has to see if she's pregnant.
- 39:22Speaker 1: I think that's a part of it.
- 39:23Speaker 4: And she said she can't entertain any other men for
- 39:27Speaker 4: ninety days, and that's also set in their religion for reconciliation,
- 39:31Speaker 4: so they could try to, you know, figure it out.
- 39:33Speaker 1: They probably just need a break or not need a break.
- 39:35Speaker 2: I thought it was a publicity stunt or I thought
- 39:37Speaker 2: you to give that to It's a problicity stunt mixed
- 39:40Speaker 2: with probably a relationship and just elevated because people are saying,
- 39:44Speaker 2: hey were married, now we married.
- 39:46Speaker 1: We don't got that. Most people are not even caring
- 39:47Speaker 1: about paperwork.
- 39:48Speaker 2: A lot of celebrities say that they married and they
- 39:50Speaker 2: don't have any papers, any papers to make them legally married.
- 39:54Speaker 2: They just are partners in living. So I mean, I
- 39:59Speaker 2: don't want to say I don't care. I hate to
- 40:00Speaker 2: say I don't care. That's a strong word, but it's
- 40:03Speaker 2: like which one did we really care?
- 40:06Speaker 1: Which one? Which words strong? I don't care.
- 40:10Speaker 2: I don't know, but it's all together. I guess I
- 40:13Speaker 2: don't care. I mean, I just don't.
- 40:15Speaker 1: I don't.
- 40:15Speaker 2: I'm not saying that not don't care because that seems harsh,
- 40:18Speaker 2: but I just said it doesn't. I never thought this
- 40:20Speaker 2: was anything from the beginning, so that that makes that sense.
- 40:23Speaker 2: That makes sense. It's not moving me one way or
- 40:25Speaker 2: the other.
- 40:26Speaker 3: You don't care, but I say it for you, you
- 40:28Speaker 3: don't care. That's the same thing.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Don't fix your mouth, don't put your mouth on somebody
- 40:32Speaker 4: else relationship, put your mouth on, mouth on somebody else relationship.
- 40:37Speaker 3: I just won't care.
- 40:38Speaker 1: That's what Kevin Gates does.
- 40:39Speaker 4: You putting your mouth on somebody else relationship, in yours
- 40:42Speaker 4: last fifty days.
- 40:43Speaker 2: But I did not stop that. My thing is, I
- 40:45Speaker 2: don't know if Kevin Gates cares about it. Maybe I
- 40:47Speaker 2: look at things a little differently. I just don't. It
- 40:51Speaker 2: don't serve any good purpose to talk about Lebron James,
- 40:54Speaker 2: not Lebron James's wife and his relationship just because man, Lebron,
- 40:59Speaker 2: it's just one of them people.
- 41:01Speaker 1: He can sends it.
- 41:02Speaker 2: You drop an album, you Kevin Gate, so Bron listens
- 41:05Speaker 2: to it, your streams go up instantly.
- 41:08Speaker 1: Probably did he gonna move the needle instant?
- 41:11Speaker 2: Well, he say something about you, He he rocked your clothes,
- 41:15Speaker 2: he you in a picture with him.
- 41:16Speaker 1: It just moves the needle.
- 41:18Speaker 2: And why would you want that type of person on
- 41:20Speaker 2: your bad side?
- 41:21Speaker 5: But again, I don't think he even I don't think
- 41:23Speaker 5: he's in great, like thinking right space, that type of
- 41:26Speaker 5: space because and we said, we talked about this when
- 41:29Speaker 5: this first came out.
- 41:30Speaker 3: He lost his Savannah.
- 41:32Speaker 5: So you know what I'm saying, why we expect him
- 41:35Speaker 5: to have respect for somebody else's because he had a
- 41:38Speaker 5: woman bastle. He did so a good and you know
- 41:41Speaker 5: from what we saw, a good woman that he praised
- 41:43Speaker 5: over and over in the music and the history that
- 41:46Speaker 5: he told us about Draker, it was only been positive.
- 41:50Speaker 5: So it seemed like he had a Savannah and he
- 41:52Speaker 5: lost us, And maybe he was speaking from a hurt
- 41:55Speaker 5: of space and projecting onto.
- 41:57Speaker 1: I didn't like our Savannah, you know, I didn't like it.
- 42:00Speaker 1: I know I like that move.
- 42:02Speaker 3: I just I love Kevin. I just want him to
- 42:04Speaker 3: make good music.
- 42:06Speaker 1: What about this move though? Did you like this? Ray J?
- 42:09Speaker 1: The sexy red and justin Bieber situation.
- 42:13Speaker 3: It's given crack. Everybody like a crackhouse.
- 42:17Speaker 5: You walk into a crackhouse and it's different characters in
- 42:19Speaker 5: the crackhouse. It's always a white crackhead. That's justin. Then
- 42:23Speaker 5: you got you know what I'm saying, You got ray J.
- 42:26Speaker 5: It's like it's all given crack. I don't know why
- 42:29Speaker 5: he wanted to put sexy in there, but that it's
- 42:32Speaker 5: just the whole scene. Just look, I picture a crackhouse
- 42:35Speaker 5: in my head when you mentioned all that, three of
- 42:37Speaker 5: them together.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's that's bad. That's bad. I just
- 42:42Speaker 1: like ray J trolling went too far. That's it. Ray
- 42:45Speaker 1: J jumping into a conversation just went too far.
- 42:48Speaker 4: Man, Why do you you give ray J a lot
- 42:50Speaker 4: of grace, you do, you give him a lot of rope.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Because no, you know why I get ray J a
- 42:54Speaker 2: lot of grace because he reminds me of a person
- 42:57Speaker 2: I played sports with. They're just all he does is
- 43:00Speaker 2: just say stuff. Don't really mean no harm, just say
- 43:04Speaker 2: stuff like he said, like we was on the plane
- 43:06Speaker 2: and we slept together, we slept out. They basically was
- 43:10Speaker 2: in the same plane. It's a joke. But he shouldn't
- 43:13Speaker 2: have did it. He should have did it, but I
- 43:14Speaker 2: did it.
- 43:15Speaker 4: It bothers me because I know, like all through that,
- 43:20Speaker 4: like I see all through that. I know ray J
- 43:22Speaker 4: is intelligent. I know dude. I know dude is super intelligent,
- 43:25Speaker 4: and I know he knows exactly what he be saying.
- 43:28Speaker 4: And I think he tries to play this dumb he
- 43:31Speaker 4: dumbed down himself for whatever reason, maybe because it gets clicked,
- 43:35Speaker 4: it gets viral, and he can you know what I'm saying,
- 43:37Speaker 4: But he knows exactly what he's doing every time. I
- 43:39Speaker 4: never think that ray J is at a place where,
- 43:42Speaker 4: oh he don't know he's doing, He's just playing like
- 43:44Speaker 4: he knows. He's very calculated. He's a I think he's
- 43:47Speaker 4: super smart, but play this like I don't care a
- 43:50Speaker 4: role where he was walking around with Kekey with his
- 43:52Speaker 4: pants all the way down, acting like he's just so
- 43:55Speaker 4: drunk and lit.
- 43:56Speaker 1: It looked lame to me. You know what I'm saying.
- 43:58Speaker 3: This was on when he was with me.
- 44:00Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, he was he was wearing
- 44:01Speaker 4: them so low and he walking around with a bottle and.
- 44:04Speaker 1: All of this, Like what are you? What are you own?
- 44:07Speaker 4: Because the deals that you make in the in the
- 44:10Speaker 4: world that you make a ton of money in, you
- 44:12Speaker 4: don't walk over there like that.
- 44:14Speaker 1: He having fun, man see.
- 44:16Speaker 4: And that's and then y'all sweep it under that.
- 44:18Speaker 1: That's how I do. But that's what I'm saying.
- 44:22Speaker 4: It's just even when he was talking to cop, it
- 44:24Speaker 4: was why you ain't let me get in the shower
- 44:26Speaker 4: with y'all.
- 44:28Speaker 1: I want to shower with y'all.
- 44:30Speaker 4: You know what you're saying, man, You know how that sounds,
- 44:32Speaker 4: and you know how that's gonna get being silly man
- 44:34Speaker 4: like I just I.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Don't know, come too old for that.
- 44:40Speaker 5: It's like your father, now you have children, you come
- 44:44Speaker 5: from a well established family, your sister has worked your
- 44:47Speaker 5: ass off to to create the brand that y'all work under.
- 44:51Speaker 5: It becomes embarrassing. At some point, we have gotten past
- 44:54Speaker 5: the sex tape ray J. We have gotten pasted the
- 44:57Speaker 5: wild Nights when he was running around with Lottle Kim.
- 44:59Speaker 5: Now you didn't win. You had your Whitney era. You
- 45:02Speaker 5: didn't you didn't had your love and hip hop era.
- 45:05Speaker 5: Now you Why are you taking us through all of this?
- 45:09Speaker 5: And all we want is the best for you? Don't
- 45:10Speaker 5: want to see you win. The America loves ray J,
- 45:14Speaker 5: and we're all rooting for him, but it's like now
- 45:16Speaker 5: you to Now it's so bad, to the point where
- 45:19Speaker 5: it's like you always intoxicated, and on top of it,
- 45:23Speaker 5: now you bringing innocent people into your like sexy ReBs,
- 45:25Speaker 5: Like I didn't have nothing to do with that, you
- 45:27Speaker 5: know what I'm saying, Like that's not funny to say
- 45:29Speaker 5: you slept with me. That's not funny. At your very
- 45:32Speaker 5: big age, and you've been in this industry since you
- 45:34Speaker 5: was a child, so you know what kind of damage
- 45:36Speaker 5: that does?
- 45:37Speaker 3: Why do that for what? You have so many.
- 45:40Speaker 5: Opportunities in front of you to be a great, to
- 45:42Speaker 5: be awesome. You could do whatever you want, and you
- 45:45Speaker 5: see like ray J's at the stage his career where
- 45:47Speaker 5: he could be the role model. He could be the
- 45:49Speaker 5: big bro and still get the headlines. Still that's smart. Yeah,
- 45:52Speaker 5: you know what I'm saying.
- 45:53Speaker 4: He's that he has that much charisma, and to see
- 45:56Speaker 4: him like that's what pisss me off.
- 45:57Speaker 1: I figured it out.
- 45:58Speaker 4: I feel like he go to cheap way out when
- 46:00Speaker 4: I know he can do the other way. Yes, but
- 46:02Speaker 4: it's like I can. I'm gonna do it the cheap way.
- 46:04Speaker 4: I'm gonna act drunk, I'm gonna say wild stuff, get
- 46:06Speaker 4: clicks like that. Yeah, dah dah, but you better than that?
- 46:10Speaker 1: All right? How about this? Oh this one?
- 46:15Speaker 2: Fans went in on Corrishaus Shields after she tweeted out
- 46:18Speaker 2: all men don't cheat, my man, don't y'all interviewed Carrisa Shields.
- 46:25Speaker 5: I think I had a chance to chat with them
- 46:28Speaker 5: and meet Pat Pools for the first It was the
- 46:29Speaker 5: first time for me.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Did he want to punch you?
- 46:35Speaker 5: He stood there with his arms folded, And the only
- 46:37Speaker 5: thing I'm mad I don't care. The only thing I'm
- 46:40Speaker 5: mad about from the interaction is that I didn't I
- 46:42Speaker 5: didn't take a picture of what kind of boots he
- 46:44Speaker 5: had on. That's the only thing I forgot to do
- 46:47Speaker 5: and that moment was to take a pic because when
- 46:49Speaker 5: I tell you, he looked first of all Pat Pools,
- 46:52Speaker 5: I feel like they had the same outfit on since we.
- 46:54Speaker 3: Met him in life.
- 46:56Speaker 4: Like I don't know, you have to ask somebody in
- 46:58Speaker 4: y'all mad and it's like they are character, like they
- 47:01Speaker 4: are a g T a character off of the game.
- 47:04Speaker 3: And that's what he kind of reminded me.
- 47:06Speaker 6: Up.
- 47:06Speaker 3: He had this like you know, the lux look. Everything
- 47:10Speaker 3: looked like whatever.
- 47:12Speaker 5: And he came and he had his arms folded and
- 47:14Speaker 5: he so Clarissa sat down and he stood on the
- 47:17Speaker 5: other side of the camera from me in exact, with
- 47:18Speaker 5: his arms folded, and he was like yeah, yeah, And
- 47:22Speaker 5: so I started interview. I was like, so heys because
- 47:26Speaker 5: you stating there me bug and I said, we ain't
- 47:28Speaker 5: doing nothing. So he was cool after that, you know
- 47:31Speaker 5: what I'm saying. But I that's the only thing I
- 47:33Speaker 5: wish I would because my man, I can't for I'm like,
- 47:35Speaker 5: were they loos?
- 47:36Speaker 3: I need to know they could have been because it
- 47:40Speaker 3: gave LUs.
- 47:40Speaker 4: Energy very much. So, but he had on Louis, did
- 47:45Speaker 4: he Yeah, that was a Louis shirt.
- 47:47Speaker 3: Was it Louis Louis or like Louis.
- 47:54Speaker 1: I'm not.
- 48:00Speaker 2: Why I'm not gonna let y'all cloud Potpool, I'm not
- 48:03Speaker 2: cloud of papoos.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Man had a lot of bread. He's undered on right now.
- 48:09Speaker 3: He had the same.
- 48:10Speaker 1: It's like, it's like what it is. Poos is a quietude.
- 48:17Speaker 3: Other had fitted like they not snap back yeah like that, like.
- 48:22Speaker 1: It's for my era.
- 48:24Speaker 2: We were fitted bat he you see you got a
- 48:27Speaker 2: little being in yours. He was here straight Now. Pat
- 48:30Speaker 2: Pools can't dress better than me. That's a but I'm
- 48:33Speaker 2: just saying that. But as far as like as I
- 48:37Speaker 2: don't like how y'all y'all getting on him. To me,
- 48:40Speaker 2: this is this is the thing, y'all give it. Pat
- 48:42Speaker 2: Pools a lot of bad energy right now. That's because
- 48:45Speaker 2: the dude. If you think about Pat Pools, he's a
- 48:49Speaker 2: quiet dude.
- 48:50Speaker 1: He sit back.
- 48:51Speaker 2: Hey man, I'm quiet, I'm chill. I support my girl.
- 48:55Speaker 2: To me, I don't understand how how everybody got they got.
- 49:01Speaker 1: He just be chilling. He just be chilling at from
- 49:08Speaker 1: my point of view.
- 49:11Speaker 5: Not an attack, buts be moving like a GTA character
- 49:17Speaker 5: like he he really stood that his arms folded.
- 49:19Speaker 3: In that outfit.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Yeah, he stood there.
- 49:22Speaker 4: I honestly, he stood there kind of like an intimidate,
- 49:25Speaker 4: if I could be honest, I felt like he was
- 49:26Speaker 4: standing there to intimidate the interviewers to not ask about
- 49:30Speaker 4: their situations that we have seen.
- 49:32Speaker 1: That's kind of what the staying there.
- 49:33Speaker 5: And the only reason, and I want to be clear,
- 49:37Speaker 5: the only reason I did not ask the questions I
- 49:40Speaker 5: would normally ask is because I'm that we were working
- 49:44Speaker 5: for asked us to not do that. That's the only reason.
- 49:48Speaker 5: Because I saw people in the comments like why is
- 49:50Speaker 5: they asking them these questions like that? Ain't Key King
- 49:52Speaker 5: and zachmun Rowe, No, it's not. I was respecting the
- 49:55Speaker 5: director we were given from our you know what I'm saying,
- 49:59Speaker 5: our team, because Fat Pools was standing there with his
- 50:02Speaker 5: arms fault, because I don't give it down.
- 50:04Speaker 4: When they said they was coming, we said, oh, I
- 50:06Speaker 4: looked the Kiki. I knew what was gonna happen, and
- 50:08Speaker 4: I was gonna be nice and he was gonna get
- 50:11Speaker 4: him in there. But then like right before the interview started,
- 50:14Speaker 4: they ran over and gave us that direction to keep
- 50:16Speaker 4: it light happy and don't talk about the other stuff.
- 50:19Speaker 4: So we didn't and we respected it. But also this
- 50:24Speaker 4: didn't stop us. Please okay, because if you touch me,
- 50:28Speaker 4: you're going to Jay tell you that right now, you
- 50:33Speaker 4: touch me. Started talking to now we talked to she
- 50:38Speaker 4: was upset. I mean, she was uptight before the very
- 50:42Speaker 4: uptight when she first sat down. But then when we
- 50:44Speaker 4: started talking to her, she loosened up and I got
- 50:46Speaker 4: to see her personality.
- 50:47Speaker 1: And I think she's a sweet girl.
- 50:48Speaker 3: I think she's sweet.
- 50:49Speaker 1: I do.
- 50:49Speaker 4: I think she's really sweet once we got to see her.
- 50:51Speaker 4: But she was in defense too. But here's my thing, though,
- 50:55Speaker 4: My thing is this. This is an interview room. Y'all
- 51:00Speaker 4: know what y'all have been through in the blogs. Don't
- 51:04Speaker 4: bring your ass in here and try to intimidate people
- 51:07Speaker 4: not to have the conversation. Don't show up if you
- 51:11Speaker 4: don't want to talk. This is what we're here for.
- 51:14Speaker 4: You knew you were walking in these places with people interviewing,
- 51:18Speaker 4: and we just sent the stuff last week.
- 51:20Speaker 1: This stuff is fresh.
- 51:22Speaker 4: And then then try to tell us we don't want
- 51:24Speaker 4: to talk about nothing like that and then stand there
- 51:27Speaker 4: and be up like this. Well, you know you can
- 51:29Speaker 4: go home for that, because we're gonna ask those questions.
- 51:33Speaker 4: We normally would if you was on What More Can
- 51:35Speaker 4: I Say? Podcast, it would just have to be told.
- 51:38Speaker 3: And it wasn't.
- 51:39Speaker 4: I just want And it's not disrespect. It's not like
- 51:42Speaker 4: we was gonna disrespect him, but you got to address it.
- 51:44Speaker 5: It's not disrespect, bro, It's just an opportunity for you
- 51:47Speaker 5: to share your side of the story.
- 51:49Speaker 3: That's it. Like, share your side of the story.
- 51:52Speaker 5: That's that's really And I hate because interview it we
- 51:54Speaker 5: get a bad rep, like y'all because I was talking
- 51:56Speaker 5: to one of my favorite record reps about an artist
- 51:59Speaker 5: that he would that I was trying to get him
- 52:01Speaker 5: come through and he was like, man, she just went
- 52:02Speaker 5: through something last week, and I know you're gonna ask,
- 52:04Speaker 5: and I'm like, yes, but it's just only to let
- 52:08Speaker 5: her elaborate on her side of the story and clear
- 52:11Speaker 5: it up. It's never I'm not trying to trap you.
- 52:13Speaker 5: I can't trap you into something you said.
- 52:16Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying like you said it, it's
- 52:19Speaker 4: not on us said now because I'm think you're mad
- 52:22Speaker 4: at us.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Though.
- 52:22Speaker 5: It's so weird how the energy is, like, well, y'all
- 52:25Speaker 5: trying to set them up, like, bro, I'm not trying
- 52:27Speaker 5: to set anybody up.
- 52:28Speaker 1: Tode Dollard had that energy.
- 52:30Speaker 2: He had that energy because knew it with Chicago, and
- 52:32Speaker 2: you could tell he just like he he wouldn't relax
- 52:36Speaker 2: like I'm trying to be cool and trying to trying
- 52:39Speaker 2: to really like and I think I said something about
- 52:42Speaker 2: he made her, you know, the accent. I said no
- 52:44Speaker 2: features and he made her future. He's like, he's like,
- 52:47Speaker 2: He's like, what you mean future? That's my I said,
- 52:50Speaker 2: I said no features, Todd, that's my I don't care
- 52:54Speaker 2: if I said no features my accent.
- 52:55Speaker 1: You probably didn't hear it.
- 52:57Speaker 2: But he was so he wouldn't come off of He
- 53:00Speaker 2: was tight because it was Chicago and they had said
- 53:03Speaker 2: were gonna let him do Chicago. My thing is ge like,
- 53:06Speaker 2: here's like you said, here's the layup question. Because we know,
- 53:11Speaker 2: at the end of the day, Tie Dollar, yay messing
- 53:15Speaker 2: with you, Tode Dollar helped you at that time. At
- 53:19Speaker 2: that time, it helped you because Kanye was the bigger artist.
- 53:23Speaker 1: It's a fact.
- 53:24Speaker 2: So when you stop messing with y'all, stop y'all break
- 53:28Speaker 2: ways and I say, hey man, what what happened with you?
- 53:31Speaker 1: And ya. And that's and now my hands is off
- 53:34Speaker 1: the steadwheel.
- 53:35Speaker 2: It's easy for you to come in and say, hey, man,
- 53:39Speaker 2: you know blah blah blah blah whatever politically Craig answer
- 53:43Speaker 2: that you come up with, I'm gonna say, okay, cool,
- 53:47Speaker 2: But to sit there and be tight and not ask
- 53:50Speaker 2: ye ya.
- 53:52Speaker 5: You been running around with Kanye for the last five years.
- 53:56Speaker 5: You want me and my job is in Chicago. You
- 53:59Speaker 5: won't mee to do a disservice to my audience and
- 54:02Speaker 5: not ask the questions that they want to know from you.
- 54:05Speaker 5: If we got to stop this weird behavior. You think
- 54:08Speaker 5: you can go in the world as a celebrity and
- 54:10Speaker 5: do all kinds of things and everybody else if it's
- 54:14Speaker 5: supposed to act like it never happened.
- 54:16Speaker 3: When you decide you don't want to talk about it
- 54:18Speaker 3: no more, no but.
- 54:21Speaker 1: That you did.
- 54:23Speaker 3: I want to be like you did the Live Bro.
- 54:26Speaker 3: You did it, y'all, just but I don't I don't know,
- 54:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 54:32Speaker 1: I don't know, y'all until y'all put it out there.
- 54:36Speaker 2: It's just weird, so weird that like people can say,
- 54:40Speaker 2: people can say it all day and I'm asking all
- 54:42Speaker 2: your questions because I have to ask Rick Ross about
- 54:46Speaker 2: being being a correctional officer in the midst of the
- 54:50Speaker 2: height of Rick Ross.
- 54:52Speaker 1: And he was like, go ahead, ask, bro, go ahead ask.
- 54:55Speaker 2: And I asked the question. I asked the question. He
- 54:59Speaker 2: gave something type of wild answer, but I ain't give
- 55:02Speaker 2: a care. I'm not gonna push it. He gave an answer.
- 55:04Speaker 2: We kept it, push it. But the thing of it
- 55:07Speaker 2: is is is my my thought is this And I've
- 55:09Speaker 2: seen it with other It was some other artists throughout
- 55:12Speaker 2: radio room that was doing it, like we appreciate you
- 55:16Speaker 2: coming in there, man, but relax. If somebody said they're
- 55:20Speaker 2: not gonna ask her the question has some fun. I'm
- 55:22Speaker 2: not gonna ask the question if you tell me not to.
- 55:24Speaker 5: Yeah, that's the thing too. If you tell me this
- 55:25Speaker 5: off limits, we ain't gonna talk about it. But then
- 55:27Speaker 5: I am gonna say they told me I cann act you.
- 55:29Speaker 1: Yeah, when my when my job.
- 55:31Speaker 5: Is questioned from my listeners who pay my bills, if
- 55:33Speaker 5: they come to me and say white Kiki, ya know.
- 55:36Speaker 3: You ain't sit across from colorisay, And then asked her
- 55:37Speaker 3: about mind.
- 55:38Speaker 1: She told me I couldn't and I'm not going and.
- 55:42Speaker 3: I'm not gonna do that, you know what I'm saying.
- 55:43Speaker 5: But if the whole acting like the outlet is the problem,
- 55:48Speaker 5: or the outlet is to blame because you did some
- 55:51Speaker 5: wold shit a week ago, it's not that's.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Not cool, that's not Yeah.
- 55:55Speaker 2: I think when you I think when when the artist
- 55:57Speaker 2: gets mad at you asking the question is weird. I
- 56:00Speaker 2: think getting mad at the person that's interviewing, when they're
- 56:04Speaker 2: being push or asking a messy question or asking a question,
- 56:08Speaker 2: that's where it gets.
- 56:10Speaker 1: That's where the waters can get a little money, I think.
- 56:13Speaker 2: And I understand it, Like like you said, me asking
- 56:16Speaker 2: money long, I get that.
- 56:18Speaker 1: I can.
- 56:18Speaker 2: I can understand that it's a question. She could have
- 56:21Speaker 2: my opinion, kind of skipped over whatever. But I do
- 56:24Speaker 2: get her getting upset about it.
- 56:26Speaker 4: It makes I think that was the money long question
- 56:28Speaker 4: was a bit messy because that wasn't out there right,
- 56:30Speaker 4: And that's what I like, you know what I'm saying.
- 56:32Speaker 1: That's me trying to get that's trying to get something.
- 56:35Speaker 4: Yeah, but I get that we talking about stuff that
- 56:37Speaker 4: we just did, that you just did, you just did.
- 56:39Speaker 3: That's out.
- 56:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's out, it's.
- 56:41Speaker 3: On the internet.
- 56:42Speaker 5: Or I can pull it up right now, and you
- 56:45Speaker 5: mad at me for putting it out there, or a
- 56:48Speaker 5: lot of people. And I don't want to sound like
- 56:50Speaker 5: it's certain people that are mad at certain news outlets.
- 56:54Speaker 5: That's a news outlet. All they do is report the news.
- 57:01Speaker 5: If you don't make the news, I have nothing to report.
- 57:05Speaker 5: If you do something, it is my duty to report
- 57:08Speaker 5: the news. You cannot be mad at me for reporting
- 57:11Speaker 5: the news. And I see a lot of people trying
- 57:13Speaker 5: to take down two of our biggest news outlets like that.
- 57:17Speaker 5: They it's it's like hate campaigns. But I'm like, y'all,
- 57:19Speaker 5: do realize they all they do is report the news.
- 57:22Speaker 5: They don't make the news. We don't make this up.
- 57:24Speaker 5: I'm not lying to you. I don't make it up.
- 57:26Speaker 5: All I do is report what's out there, and that's it.
- 57:29Speaker 1: Yeah, they got it. People gotta relax. They gotta just
- 57:31Speaker 1: they gotta relax. Weird, you know.
- 57:33Speaker 2: And I was appreciated. I'm still I'm still gonna be
- 57:35Speaker 2: a Tie dollar Sign fan, but I was. I've interviewed
- 57:38Speaker 2: him a couple of times and he was just tight.
- 57:40Speaker 2: He wouldn't he would like he would loosen up, you
- 57:42Speaker 2: would loosen up I'm like, all right, man's cool.
- 57:44Speaker 3: You know what, I be on the spectrum. That's what
- 57:46Speaker 3: I had to.
- 57:47Speaker 1: Really that probably last time, that my last year.
- 57:52Speaker 5: For they be on the spectrum, and I'd be like,
- 57:55Speaker 5: this is not a personal this is you are a little you,
- 57:59Speaker 5: a little different, and that's okay.
- 58:01Speaker 2: I just let people go, like like my thing is
- 58:03Speaker 2: is if you like that tight or whatever, and I
- 58:05Speaker 2: don't know, whatever kind of energy you was feeling, I'm
- 58:07Speaker 2: gonna let you you going. I'm gonna love your music
- 58:10Speaker 2: and I would rather I would rather love your music
- 58:13Speaker 2: and not how any more bad interactions.
- 58:15Speaker 1: It wasn't bad.
- 58:15Speaker 2: It was just odd and everybody in the midst of
- 58:18Speaker 2: I mean, I'm talking to Maya and I'm talking to
- 58:21Speaker 2: boss Man d Lo. Boss Man d Lo got stuff
- 58:24Speaker 2: going on. He was cool and it's a lot of
- 58:26Speaker 2: good energy. Man. I ain't got time at this point
- 58:28Speaker 2: in my career. I just ain't got time for nobody
- 58:31Speaker 2: that don't want to come in and sit and talk.
- 58:33Speaker 1: You ain't doing I ain't doing. Look put like this.
- 58:35Speaker 2: I've been famous, whatever level fame i've been, I've been
- 58:38Speaker 2: famous for longer than a lot of weird ass entertainer and.
- 58:42Speaker 1: When you get what I have been.
- 58:45Speaker 2: And the thing is, I know you know, and I'm
- 58:48Speaker 2: sure it's Angie Martinez is seen this and other and
- 58:51Speaker 2: other people that's been in the business a long time.
- 58:54Speaker 2: It's like, Bro, you gonna you gonna wish we was
- 58:57Speaker 2: asking you a question. When when people people stop caring,
- 59:01Speaker 2: When y'all walking around here with these masks on, y'all
- 59:04Speaker 2: giving this weird energy doing interviews. Man, stop I keep saying,
- 59:09Speaker 2: it's that dirt under the fingernails my dog. Stop doing music,
- 59:14Speaker 2: Stop being an actor, stop being an entertainer. If you
- 59:17Speaker 2: don't want to do interviews, this is a part of
- 59:20Speaker 2: the game.
- 59:21Speaker 4: No or make great music and don't do interviews.
- 59:25Speaker 1: Interviews is optional.
- 59:26Speaker 4: They got in the business to make records. If you
- 59:29Speaker 4: want to cut records, and that's it, just do that.
- 59:32Speaker 4: Because it's some artists who are big enough that they
- 59:35Speaker 4: don't even have to do interviews, and they don't.
- 59:37Speaker 1: They put out their own contents.
- 59:38Speaker 3: They ain't talk to us.
- 59:39Speaker 4: And is Beyonce said the word to us. And when
- 59:41Speaker 4: she do put out something, she put it out. She's
- 59:43Speaker 4: done editor that she only gonna put out what she
- 59:45Speaker 4: wants you to know.
- 59:46Speaker 1: And guess what.
- 59:46Speaker 4: Guess what records and if her stadium still packed.
- 59:50Speaker 1: Guess what. Everybody ain't beyond say everybody ain't no. I
- 59:54Speaker 1: know the bit. I know the benefit of radio saying well, you.
- 59:58Speaker 2: Need to know where you're staying in his business or
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: everybody ain't printing somebody Michael Jackson and I've heard Jay
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: Z said in the verse like people walk around like
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: they just made thriller. They act like they just made thriller.
- 1:00:12Speaker 2: Like my dog, you ain't made no thriller. You still
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: need to promote. You still need to go holler at people.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: It's a reason I said all the time, fifty don't
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: interview that much. But when fifty was in his bag
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: making music, he was on the grind promoting. And that's
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: why you still see people and DJs and personalities and
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: interview outlets that will promote and push fifty because he
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: made great relationships. Because a lot of time, it ain't
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: what you're saying to that personality, it's the relationship that
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: you're building with them or that outlet that you're building
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: with them.
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: Yeah, and I mean and it you have some interviewers
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: who are thirsty and who are trying to click bait.
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: You know, I'm just some people. I don't need to
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: do that. You know what I'm saying. Let's just have
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: great moments together, like you know, and you have your
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: artists like you said that you build those relationships with
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: And a lot of people sat down with me and
- 1:01:03Speaker 5: Zach and was like, Yo, when we turn the MIC's out,
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: they're like, whoa, we love y'all.
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: Y'all. We was expecting something different. This was nice.
- 1:01:11Speaker 5: I feel better. I feel I can go talk to
- 1:01:13Speaker 5: everybody now. That's the type of experience I want you
- 1:01:16Speaker 5: to leave understand, Like, yeah, I know, co Cole Jones,
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: that's one of my favorites.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: Like she know when she said it's good.
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: I don't mean no harm people.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: I don't have no I ain't coming. I'm come in peace.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: Even so, man, some of the hard man, the hardest
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: rappers that was coming through that over the weekend, like
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: hey bro, hey Man, Hey bro Man, thank you man.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: That's a good interview that people because they want they like, man,
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: I'll sit down like man, we're gonna talk about what
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: we gotta talk about. You answer them questions, and we're
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: gonna keep it moving, flick it up and.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: Keep it pushing like we asked Jozzy about Diddy. That's
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: one of the most sensitive things out right now, it's
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: the whole Diddy trial. But she know we met you
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: through Diddy. He was posting you. You was the one
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: on this record label. We gotta talk about that, m H.
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: And she handled it. She told her truth and there
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: it was. Ain't nobody asked no more questions. We ain't
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: ask no weird questions, was it baby? Oh, we ain't
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: doing none of that weird stuff. That's weird though stuff.
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: No get I hear some people doing that, but we're
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: not gonna do that.
- 1:02:18Speaker 3: Don't. Don't everybody not like that.
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: No, But all in all, though, I will say for
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: the majority of I would say ninety seven ninety eight percent,
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: I had great interviews. Everybody came in, ready to talk,
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: ready to promote.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: I just it, just it's.
- 1:02:36Speaker 4: Good you had my guy, though the man I wish
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: I would have talked to him.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Give You, oh yeah, give you on was one of
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: the coolest interviews ever. I get it, I get it,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: I get it, I get I get you. Yeah, it's music.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: I yeah, I definitely a fan. I was happy when
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: they say give you is coming over. I was like, bet,
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: let's go cool, super cool. A lot of the actresses
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: and actors were real cool out of you, A lot
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: of them.
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: Everybody was cool.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: Man, it's your favorite interview from the weekend?
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: I mean Charles Jenkins, of course, if I got to
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: say that my pastor, that was a big one.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: And there was another one, the Von Franklin.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: Good We talked about it, and the Von Franklin took
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: the layup question. I was like, you had a public relationships,
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: you think you would ever have another public relationship? We
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: all know what we're talking about. And he handled it
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: with class and kept it pushing. The cast of the
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: shy Man was good to talk.
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: To one who may go through. He just had to
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: go your name everybody interview, and his first one was Charles.
- 1:03:44Speaker 5: When I saw him, I didn't even say, like, how
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: you doing, mister Dingers, I said you tone past.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: He said, yeah, that's what you should have did a
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: video with. You should have been like I got somebody for.
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: My favorite. Damn, my my favorite interview. It might have
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: been that It might it would probably be the Gibbeyon.
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: But I had good moments with everybody, though. I had
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: great moments with everybody.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: Who is your favorite?
- 1:04:17Speaker 5: My favorite was Sierra. My favorite was Sierra because you know,
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: Sierra so rich. At this point, I'm like, why are
- 1:04:24Speaker 5: you even talking to this? You know what I'm saying, you,
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: why are you here? And so she sat down and
- 1:04:30Speaker 5: she was she was down to earth.
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: She was cool. She's still very rich.
- 1:04:33Speaker 5: You could feel the rich energy, but she was very like,
- 1:04:37Speaker 5: very just very nice, very cool, and you know, they
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: were rushing her like we gotta go wrap it up.
- 1:04:42Speaker 5: And I'm like, all right, oh, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:04:45Speaker 5: I don't know what. I'm s Sierra again that I'm
- 1:04:47Speaker 5: not rushing this, and she was down with it. She
- 1:04:49Speaker 5: know what y'all want to do, what y'all need. She
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: was so cool and sold down to earth and just chill,
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: and I was like, I.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: Like her a lot.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Zach was yours, Sierra too. Sierra was number two, number one,
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: and me was cash off.
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: Oh yeah, he argued with he was, he was.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: I was just being messed with cash. But every time
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: my interview cashed out.
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: She knows I'll be messy with her, that's our thing.
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: Good personality. But she she can handle that stuff. She
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: ain't she ain't running from nothing. She she ain't. It's
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: like when I talked to Cash all was like I
- 1:05:21Speaker 4: messed with her like I talked with Key. You know
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: what I'm saying, Like, I know, I know she can
- 1:05:25Speaker 4: handle it. Whatever you say so you can't. It ain't
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: nothing you can say to her to make her be
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: like shake her or no, she'll go off on you
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: before you know what I'm saying. Before she made somebody
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: shake her, it ain't happening.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Be like, they have to kill you off of this
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: for this show, bro, I said, you brought it up.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: She was doing good.
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: I didn't like how they killed you. But she was
- 1:05:47Speaker 5: explaining her the real character she was portraying in real life.
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: That's how she died. She had to die because it
- 1:05:53Speaker 5: was part of the story. I like that.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: I like.
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: That.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: She definitely no the Careesa.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: They should let let that.
- 1:06:04Speaker 5: I wanted to say that. I wanted to say, like
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: because you you know, you come from music and you.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: Did good in your role. Not like what she said.
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: What was her last Karsha one like my husband, my husband. Yeah,
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: it was terrible last my husband. Again, she knows, but
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: she knows that was bad. That's probably a good joke,
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: all right, man, thousands. Yeam, I'm not ready to go there.
- 1:06:33Speaker 4: We have to, We have to so much more.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: To talk about.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: BT's where is y'all going?
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Is something?
- 1:06:40Speaker 5: Is something happened to let me know if this is
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: the end, because y'all, I ain't never seen them on
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: a five or six people at the same damn town.
- 1:06:47Speaker 4: I ain't never seen that before. I said, damn, is
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: this the last one?
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: You know that was that?
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: So I still gotta go figure out what happened with
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: Kurt Franklin because I fell asleep.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: The show was so long. It was a great show.
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I just hoping that let me know if something
- 1:07:01Speaker 5: going on over there. I ain't never seen that.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: But bid the thoughts that all right?
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: As we wrap up today's episode, just remember growth doesn't
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: always look like progress come and success doesn't always feel
