- 6:16Speaker 1: up next just because we're gonna lost things around the
- 6:19Speaker 1: room here, and of course after me, we got to
- 6:21Speaker 1: go ladies first. So good evening, Miss Aggie. How are you.
- 6:24Speaker 5: I am doing very very well tonight. How are you guys?
- 6:30Speaker 1: Glad to see you survive the visit of the family.
- 6:34Speaker 5: I did, I did. I miss him terribly though, you know.
- 6:38Speaker 5: I called my mom yesterday. Actually she called me to
- 6:42Speaker 5: let me know that Dy had arrived home just fine,
- 6:45Speaker 5: and she had already unpacked and Dad was already settled.
- 6:49Speaker 5: Everything was great. And my friend who drove them up
- 6:54Speaker 5: here actually made mention of the fact that my dad
- 6:57Speaker 5: not once wanted was asking when he was going home,
- 7:00Speaker 5: because my dad hates being away from the house. He
- 7:03Speaker 5: is the true definition of a homebody. Okay. His version
- 7:07Speaker 5: of traveling is me getting him DVDs about other places
- 7:11Speaker 5: and you'll watch that, okay, And that's his version of traveling.
- 7:15Speaker 5: So when he was here, not once did he mention
- 7:18Speaker 5: wanting to go back home, and I felt, oh, I
- 7:20Speaker 5: finally made him feel at home. This is great. I
- 7:22Speaker 5: was so happy. So it was a good It was
- 7:25Speaker 5: a good visit.
- 7:26Speaker 1: That's awesome. That's awesome all right. So up next on
- 7:30Speaker 1: the hit parade, the Amish one.
- 7:35Speaker 7: Uh.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Doing that well, are we? Sir?
- 7:41Speaker 11: Fucking cottonwood needs to stop having sex in my eyes.
- 7:46Speaker 1: You know you could buy goggles for that.
- 7:50Speaker 11: Goggins even Yeah, I mean I wouldn't mind, but they
- 7:55Speaker 11: just get their shmeg all over my eyes and you
- 7:58Speaker 11: just it burns anyway, Hi hurts my eyes?
- 8:02Speaker 1: My eyes, I'm doing all right? Yeah, I mean I
- 8:04Speaker 1: have the same problem. So, yeah, it's seeter season around here.
- 8:07Speaker 1: And also because of all the wind and the storms
- 8:10Speaker 1: and everything else, I have cottonwood in this area for
- 8:12Speaker 1: the first time in forever. Not a fan because I
- 8:14Speaker 1: am also pretty allergic cottonwood, so it's been an interesting
- 8:17Speaker 1: allergy season for me too, So I understand. I'm just
- 8:20Speaker 1: jealous how.
- 8:21Speaker 11: It fox feels on any random Tuesday.
- 8:27Speaker 1: I'm just pissed at the plants are having way more
- 8:28Speaker 1: sex than I am. Oh and of course, last but
- 8:35Speaker 1: never least, because our pull baby isn't here yet. Mister
- 8:40Speaker 1: the conservative Curmudgeon himself, otherwise known as the Grouch. Good evening.
- 8:44Speaker 2: Hey, how's everybody doing?
- 8:48Speaker 1: Wait? When did you get body smashed? Snatched by a
- 8:51Speaker 1: Jewish gay?
- 8:52Speaker 2: You know, my foot's hurting, my ankle's hurt, my knees hurt,
- 8:57Speaker 2: my lumbago's acting up. I slept funny on my shoulder.
- 9:00Speaker 2: But you know me, I can't complain.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Well, even if you did, nobody show.
- 9:10Speaker 2: What the hell? One night, I'll do the whole show
- 9:12Speaker 2: like that.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I just kept waiting to hear don't talk to me
- 9:16Speaker 1: about my private plans.
- 9:18Speaker 12: Oh yeah, boom boom, yeah boom.
- 9:30Speaker 2: So I'm good considering. Uh you know, my allergy season,
- 9:35Speaker 2: uh for the most part has passed until the ragweed
- 9:39Speaker 2: and golden rod start sprouting, and then I'll die again.
- 9:43Speaker 2: But for now I'm good.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Well I was about to yell fuck you, but since
- 9:47Speaker 1: you've got another round coming, I'll that.
- 9:48Speaker 2: It's like, well, yeah, I mean, you know, we know
- 9:50Speaker 2: I had the first round. I lost my voice with
- 9:53Speaker 2: the with the oak pollen. Oak is basically what the
- 9:58Speaker 2: cottonwood is doing to you. Get so I mean it.
- 10:02Speaker 2: You know I have my share of allergies, So what
- 10:08Speaker 2: can I tell you?
- 10:10Speaker 11: Uh?
- 10:10Speaker 1: So, yeah, fun times. We're all dying from alleries.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Hey you know, Hey, I was gonna interrupt Aggie, but
- 10:18Speaker 2: it would have been so rude to have done so.
- 10:21Speaker 5: Aggie.
- 10:21Speaker 2: When you said your mom called, did she remind you
- 10:23Speaker 2: that it took her two days to call you and
- 10:26Speaker 2: you should have called her the day before?
- 10:28Speaker 5: Yes, she did. She No, I'm not even joking. She
- 10:34Speaker 5: actually asked me why didn't I call the night before?
- 10:36Speaker 1: And I was like, you.
- 10:37Speaker 5: Weren't my sisters, And she said, you have called her?
- 10:40Speaker 2: How did I know it?
- 10:45Speaker 5: I'm seria, gee, I am not kidding. She gets on
- 10:48Speaker 5: the phone just to let me know that she's home
- 10:50Speaker 5: and everything.
- 10:51Speaker 2: Uh, he should have called me, I know.
- 10:55Speaker 5: She's like, you didn't call me last night. I was like, Mom,
- 11:00Speaker 5: you were you were at my sisters. It's like you
- 11:04Speaker 5: could have called her, you know that the whole tooth
- 11:06Speaker 5: sucking thing, I had a lot of that. I apologized
- 11:17Speaker 5: profusely for not anticipating the phone call that I should
- 11:20Speaker 5: have made, knowing that she was not at her house
- 11:23Speaker 5: and divining where she was going to be at sok.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Like like like a farmer pitchforks, hay and shovels, manure
- 11:32Speaker 2: Spanish mothers, shovel guilt and yeah. God.
- 11:45Speaker 1: So before we, you know, start getting into the usual stuff,
- 11:48Speaker 1: a thought has just occurred to me with with what
- 11:51Speaker 1: appears to be in my in my estimation, the rise
- 11:54Speaker 1: of allergies on this planet, is it possible that m
- 11:57Speaker 1: Night Shyamalan might have been right when he made the
- 11:59Speaker 1: movie about the plant trying to kill us? And we're
- 12:00Speaker 1: just not quite there yet.
- 12:02Speaker 11: No shame on right about anything.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Here's what I know. I live in a triangle between Tallahassee, Florida,
- 12:15Speaker 2: New Orleans, Louisiana, and Montgomery, Alabama. In that triangle lies
- 12:23Speaker 2: the greatest per capita population of e n T specialists
- 12:29Speaker 2: in the country. That's how bad the allergies are here.
- 12:35Speaker 11: Wow.
- 12:36Speaker 5: And I had no idea.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't either, but my e NT guy told
- 12:40Speaker 2: me about it.
- 12:41Speaker 5: So that's rather impressive that.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I mean. I was like, you gotta be frigging kidding
- 12:48Speaker 2: me here in Nowhereville. I mean, because between Mobile and
- 12:52Speaker 2: Montgomery is nothing.
- 12:58Speaker 1: What was that Amis show?
- 12:59Speaker 7: I said, it's like taco trucks in Orange County.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, Orange.
- 13:07Speaker 7: County, California.
- 13:07Speaker 2: Not oh no, no, I mean they'd they'd be huge
- 13:10Speaker 2: in Orange County, Florida too, But.
- 13:15Speaker 7: That just doesn't make sense. They don't have oranges in Florida.
- 13:18Speaker 11: What Uh.
- 13:23Speaker 2: I think he's trying to be a smart ass.
- 13:28Speaker 11: My Truthfully, that is why Coca Cola is located where
- 13:31Speaker 11: it is in Atlanta. Yeah, Coca Cola is the largest
- 13:37Speaker 11: consumer of oranges, I think on the planet.
- 13:42Speaker 7: Wow, because when you get right.
- 13:44Speaker 11: Down, see Rick and I have talked about this on
- 13:46Speaker 11: uh Rick and already, but I don't think I've ever
- 13:48Speaker 11: talked about it here. Coca Cola is just orange drink
- 13:51Speaker 11: with caramel.
- 13:55Speaker 5: The tracks. No, it is, No, it makes sense, It
- 13:58Speaker 5: makes it complete sense.
- 14:00Speaker 2: That would explain why the orange cream coke tastes so good.
- 14:04Speaker 7: Uh huh.
- 14:05Speaker 11: They just dial back the uh the caramel a little bit.
- 14:09Speaker 11: But yeah, I ruined people's lives with that little factoid.
- 14:13Speaker 11: It's Fanta with caramel.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I mean, really, you're not hurting my feelings me there.
- 14:22Speaker 5: I like all of my additives quite well, which is
- 14:25Speaker 5: why I drink Doctor Copper.
- 14:27Speaker 1: I mean I'm a little sad he chose Fanta not Figo.
- 14:30Speaker 11: But other than that, well, I mean if they made crush,
- 14:34Speaker 11: I would have said crush, but I think that's seven
- 14:36Speaker 11: up mm h.
- 14:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I believe Petsy owns the crush. But yeah, I
- 14:47Speaker 2: mean everybody gets fanta dang.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Try to throw some ICP in the conversation. Nobody gets it.
- 14:55Speaker 2: Hey, look look we get it, magnets.
- 14:59Speaker 7: How did I work?
- 15:05Speaker 1: Fun times? Fun times?
- 15:07Speaker 5: So actually, Stephen makes a really good point. The plants
- 15:11Speaker 5: are less, we should be carnivores.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, don't eat the plants, right.
- 15:17Speaker 5: Yeah, we need to stick to being carnivores.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Everybody's happy, Hey, paiging al gore ice sheet growth.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Does anybody remember when we were supposed to be you know,
- 15:35Speaker 1: like coastal cities were supposed to be underwater by twenty fifteen.
- 15:39Speaker 5: I remember, I remember being.
- 15:41Speaker 2: Were supposed to be underwater by nineteen eighty five.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Yeah, that was only that was only if we didn't
- 15:49Speaker 1: freeze to death in nineteen seventy nine.
- 15:51Speaker 5: Yeah right, yeah, but eighty five we were supposed to
- 15:54Speaker 5: be underwater. And this was the running joke because I
- 15:57Speaker 5: graduated from high school in eighty five and we were
- 16:00Speaker 5: all going to be like surfers.
- 16:03Speaker 1: So money gods surfing always sorry, yeah, pretty much.
- 16:07Speaker 5: So I remember in nineteen eighty five. They did say that,
- 16:10Speaker 5: and then Al Gore has been saying every ten years
- 16:13Speaker 5: for the past thirty years.
- 16:15Speaker 11: So yeah, it is.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Yes, Yeah, you know, an iceberg will drop on him
- 16:21Speaker 2: and we won't have to worry about him anymore.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I mean it, there was there was a house dropped
- 16:29Speaker 1: on a which ones it's possible.
- 16:31Speaker 2: I understand that was the whole idea. Oh so look, guys,
- 16:40Speaker 2: we got we got you know, we got some news
- 16:42Speaker 2: this week. We're were we're nationally ranked mm hmm. But
- 16:51Speaker 2: I am not satisfied with the ranking. We we must
- 16:59Speaker 2: it must improve.
- 17:01Speaker 7: Yes, we must be more manly.
- 17:03Speaker 2: We must be more manly, damn it. We are going
- 17:06Speaker 2: to save more kittens and puppies, and we're going to
- 17:10Speaker 2: open more doors for ladies and old people and even
- 17:13Speaker 2: other gentlemen. Yes, and if we have to do it
- 17:20Speaker 2: on the back of Harley Davidson's and holding flowers for
- 17:26Speaker 2: the ladies too, we'll do it. We will send the ladder.
- 17:32Speaker 1: We're gonna do it. We're gonna do it. I just
- 17:36Speaker 1: think it's awesome that we have so many shows that
- 17:37Speaker 1: are starting to show up and looks like that.
- 17:40Speaker 2: It's cool. It really is. I mean that means somebody's listening.
- 17:46Speaker 2: You know what.
- 17:46Speaker 11: I've stepped up my game with manliness in one level
- 17:52Speaker 11: a lot lately, referring to people as sir and ma'am
- 17:58Speaker 11: just out of respect a lot.
- 17:59Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:00Speaker 11: Yeah, I mean even if you're like a convenience stores
- 18:02Speaker 11: or whatever. You know, it's like, okay, you're all said, hey,
- 18:04Speaker 11: thank you, sir, have a great day. Yes sir. No,
- 18:08Speaker 11: just you know, bring the respect thing back, because I
- 18:10Speaker 11: think that's what we're losing a lot of too.
- 18:13Speaker 2: I catch a lot of eyes. I'm sorry, go ahead, Aggie, No, I.
- 18:19Speaker 5: Think you have. There's a point to be made about
- 18:22Speaker 5: the return of chivalry and how that is attached to
- 18:24Speaker 5: masculinity and how they're both intertwined. And when you started
- 18:29Speaker 5: doing away with the chivalrous acts just because you know,
- 18:32Speaker 5: women were saying, you know, I'm equal to a guy
- 18:35Speaker 5: or whatever, masculinity started to eroude. I think bringing it
- 18:41Speaker 5: back is not a bad idea. I think that would
- 18:42Speaker 5: be wonderful and I think everybody would benefit from it
- 18:46Speaker 5: because it mostly pertains to having good manners correct.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Make chivalry great again?
- 18:54Speaker 5: Should should be.
- 18:59Speaker 2: I touch a lot of eyes from my peers when
- 19:02Speaker 2: we're when we're doing site visits, like for instance, uh,
- 19:08Speaker 2: today I was at a school and they're they're head custodian.
- 19:15Speaker 2: They don't call him a head custodian. They call him, uh,
- 19:17Speaker 2: they call him the building and grounds manager. But his
- 19:23Speaker 2: job is to manager the other to manage the other
- 19:26Speaker 2: custodians under him and make sure that the whole facility runs.
- 19:31Speaker 2: And when we arrived on site to take the tour,
- 19:35Speaker 2: we came across him in the hall, and he's somebody
- 19:37Speaker 2: I've known, you know, over the years, having been in
- 19:41Speaker 2: and out of the schools. And I stopped and I
- 19:44Speaker 2: shook his hand, and I asked him how he was doing,
- 19:46Speaker 2: and called him sir as we were departing, and you know,
- 19:50Speaker 2: the the other suits with me were like, my god,
- 19:56Speaker 2: just like you don't even know. Yeah, you know, I don't.
- 20:02Speaker 2: I don't know the man well enough to call him
- 20:05Speaker 2: a friend, but I do know that talking from everybody
- 20:11Speaker 2: else there, if if I had a problem on that
- 20:14Speaker 2: site and I needed his shirt off his back, he
- 20:17Speaker 2: would give it to me. And he's just good people.
- 20:26Speaker 11: That's that's when you treat people with respect and basically,
- 20:30Speaker 11: you know, unlike in my Twitter feed, but you know.
- 20:33Speaker 2: People not not communists.
- 20:36Speaker 11: Not communists, you know, it's it kind of goes full
- 20:41Speaker 11: circle to where, I don't want to say it, brighton's
- 20:44Speaker 11: their day, but then you know they feel inclined to
- 20:47Speaker 11: do it as well, and then you know, the respect
- 20:49Speaker 11: momentum builds, and that's how you want communities.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Of course, and and you know what what you young
- 21:00Speaker 2: men out there couldn't benefit from.
- 21:01Speaker 11: That, right, Yeah, I get the atte It's like, oh, yeah,
- 21:08Speaker 11: you're just making yourself you know, you're bringing yourself down
- 21:12Speaker 11: by making them like you know, they're above you.
- 21:15Speaker 2: That's taking myself down and I'm not pulling them up.
- 21:20Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 21:21Speaker 11: Yeah, it's neither of those things. People have that eye
- 21:24Speaker 11: towards it.
- 21:28Speaker 2: No, no, no, it's like the It's like the guy
- 21:30Speaker 2: at work that told me not to tip so heavy
- 21:32Speaker 2: in the Mexican restaurant because they'll come to expect it,
- 21:37Speaker 2: and I just I looked at him, and I mean,
- 21:40Speaker 2: that was the last time we've had lunch together. And
- 21:42Speaker 2: I you know, I used to like the guy, but
- 21:44Speaker 2: now I got nothing for him. Now he's a piece
- 21:48Speaker 2: of ship that's incurttle. Yeah, yeah, don't don't tip the Mexicans. Wow, yeah,
- 22:03Speaker 2: I mean they understand my favorite little canteena here. They
- 22:10Speaker 2: know they are in a in a in a poorer town,
- 22:13Speaker 2: you know. And I say poorer, I mean it's not
- 22:17Speaker 2: it's not Orange Beach, Alabama. But you know, we're not
- 22:24Speaker 2: far up the road either close enough to it. We're
- 22:28Speaker 2: not coastal coastal where where we can still breathe salt air.
- 22:32Speaker 2: But we're not putting our toes in sand. But you know,
- 22:37Speaker 2: their their menu prices are cheaper than what you get
- 22:40Speaker 2: down on the beach, and they they serve food that
- 22:44Speaker 2: is absolutely authentic. They make it. I write down to
- 22:51Speaker 2: the friggin' salsa that they bring out to the tables.
- 22:54Speaker 2: I have watched them cut the ingredients up on a
- 22:58Speaker 2: prep table, rape the entire table off into a five
- 23:02Speaker 2: gallon bucket, and use a drill with a beater attachment
- 23:06Speaker 2: to mix it proper. And I'm absolutely proper. And it's
- 23:14Speaker 2: just as fresh as it can possibly be, and it
- 23:17Speaker 2: is delicious. And he's he's like, don't tip them. You know,
- 23:23Speaker 2: I order a plate there. My normal plate is three
- 23:28Speaker 2: soft beef tacos with a side of gualk and I
- 23:32Speaker 2: get chips and a glass of tea with it, and
- 23:36Speaker 2: my plate comes to nine bucks. That's what they charge me,
- 23:41Speaker 2: nine bucks, and I drop a five dollar tip on
- 23:45Speaker 2: a nine dollars on a nine dollars tab, and he's
- 23:49Speaker 2: having a conniption over it, and I'm like, you.
- 23:53Speaker 7: Know, buckted to the ten.
- 23:56Speaker 2: Well, I mean that, and where the hell else can
- 23:59Speaker 2: you go and have a good meal with good service,
- 24:04Speaker 2: friendly people, fresh made food for under fifteen bucks with.
- 24:14Speaker 11: Yeah, that's like half taco truck prices out here. So yeah, yeah, I.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Mean, you know, like I said, you can you can
- 24:26Speaker 2: go fifteen twenty minutes down to the beach and you
- 24:29Speaker 2: can double the plate price, and you know, then you're
- 24:33Speaker 2: then you're throwing down, you know, a five dollars tip
- 24:38Speaker 2: anyway for it's probably crap, you know, I mean, it's
- 24:46Speaker 2: I'm sure somebody at the beach that owns the restaurant
- 24:49Speaker 2: is making all the margin cuts in the kitchen, if
- 24:54Speaker 2: you will. Anybody that's worked in food service knows what
- 24:58Speaker 2: I'm talking about. But yeah, I mean, it just just
- 25:04Speaker 2: shut up. Yeah right, It's it's just you know, and
- 25:12Speaker 2: I don't have a favorite waiter or waitress because they
- 25:15Speaker 2: all rotate through the family that owns it. I always
- 25:19Speaker 2: I always talk to them, and they man, I have
- 25:23Speaker 2: my God when when their dad opened the place, the
- 25:28Speaker 2: oldest kid was in middle school and now the oldest
- 25:31Speaker 2: kid runs the place. Dad is retired and the other
- 25:35Speaker 2: kids are working there, you know, and it's just a
- 25:38Speaker 2: whole big family with a couple of employees. It just
- 25:45Speaker 2: doesn't get any better than.
- 25:46Speaker 7: That, No, don't.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Yeah, and they treat me like I'm one of theirs,
- 25:54Speaker 2: because you know, they walked up to me one night
- 25:56Speaker 2: at the table and they were like, uh them, they
- 25:58Speaker 2: had us too. Familia started laughing. I said, it's Spanya
- 26:04Speaker 2: and they all started laughing and they were like, I
- 26:06Speaker 2: know it.
- 26:11Speaker 5: You do kind of have the map of Spain on
- 26:13Speaker 5: your face, buddy.
- 26:16Speaker 2: I mean it just the one guy he was like,
- 26:21Speaker 2: I knew, I knew you were one of us. He's
- 26:26Speaker 2: from Ecuador and the family that owns the place there,
- 26:32Speaker 2: they are the dad is Spain, Mexican. He's got a
- 26:38Speaker 2: parent from Spain, a parent from Mexico. So so you know,
- 26:42Speaker 2: they get it.
- 26:46Speaker 7: Specs.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Can you know whatever, whatever, We're good, We're good.
- 26:53Speaker 5: I think that's one of the funniest things about people Latina.
- 26:57Speaker 5: It's like, we get along with all of the all
- 27:00Speaker 5: of the Latin cultures right until you call us by
- 27:03Speaker 5: the wrong culture. Then we freak out, well, you know,
- 27:10Speaker 5: in a good way, like oh no, oh, no, honey,
- 27:13Speaker 5: I'm not Cuban. I'm Puerto Rican. There's a difference, and
- 27:16Speaker 5: it's because I don't want to be but you know,
- 27:19Speaker 5: it's it's because I don't want people to think that
- 27:22Speaker 5: Mexicans are this weird or Gubbans are this weird. No,
- 27:25Speaker 5: this is strictly Puerto Rican weird. So you know, that's
- 27:28Speaker 5: that's why I differentiate, so that they know I.
- 27:31Speaker 2: Mean yeah, and look, I mean I lived in Miami
- 27:39Speaker 2: for many years. I lived in Central Florida for many years,
- 27:44Speaker 2: and I have been around Cubans, I have been around
- 27:46Speaker 2: Puerto Ricans, I have been around South Americans, Central Americans.
- 27:52Speaker 5: You know, I.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Never have I been around as many Mexicans as I
- 27:57Speaker 2: have until I moved here, which kind of took me
- 28:01Speaker 2: back a little bit. I wasn't expecting that. But and
- 28:04Speaker 2: even at that, there there may be eight or ten
- 28:06Speaker 2: percent of the population around here. But it's you know,
- 28:13Speaker 2: I know exactly the different brands of loco between the
- 28:18Speaker 2: Cubans and the Puerto Ricans. Oh yeah, I.
- 28:22Speaker 5: Mean that's why I have to differentiate.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Well, when you would hear a story on the news,
- 28:26Speaker 2: you would just sit back and go, Okay, she's Puerto
- 28:28Speaker 2: Rican or she's Cuban. You know, just depending on what
- 28:33Speaker 2: it was.
- 28:35Speaker 5: You knew you could, yes, you could totally tell. It's
- 28:39Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I mean it's it's a brand.
- 28:46Speaker 2: And they proud of it too.
- 28:48Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, We're proud of our crazy. But we
- 28:51Speaker 5: just want to make sure that you understand that there's
- 28:53Speaker 5: different levels of crazy with each type of Latino. So
- 28:58Speaker 5: that's what you know. That's why No, No, I'm not
- 29:01Speaker 5: Mexican American, even though I speak like them, because I
- 29:04Speaker 5: was raised down in the valley. I'm a different kind
- 29:07Speaker 5: of crazy. So I will be saying things that you
- 29:09Speaker 5: don't expect a Mexican to say, and you know that
- 29:14Speaker 5: explains a lot. That's why I say it. It's not
- 29:16Speaker 5: because I take offense that I'm confused for a Mexican
- 29:20Speaker 5: American or a Cuban American or whatever. It's it's because
- 29:23Speaker 5: I need to let them know my level is crazy
- 29:26Speaker 5: is completely different from their level crazy. So don't expect
- 29:29Speaker 5: them to act like me exactly. That's why.
- 29:33Speaker 2: And like today I'm like, speak a needle and fry.
- 29:42Speaker 5: That was the worst part about my parents being here.
- 29:46Speaker 5: My mom wanted me to do all the cooking because
- 29:48Speaker 5: she wanted she wanted me to roast a duck one day,
- 29:51Speaker 5: and she wanted a pork my version of the pork
- 29:54Speaker 5: loin another day. And and so I didn't get I
- 29:58Speaker 5: didn't get any of her stuff. I was like, oh,
- 30:02Speaker 5: so I'll be going to visit at the end of
- 30:05Speaker 5: the month, though I know, you know, even after she
- 30:13Speaker 5: just like, why didn't you call yesterday? After that, everything
- 30:16Speaker 5: was fine, and then she did say that she was
- 30:17Speaker 5: going to cook for me when when I came to visit. Sorry,
- 30:21Speaker 5: I'm good, I'm good. I'm taking care.
- 30:23Speaker 11: Of so you say that, and then she's gonna want
- 30:25Speaker 11: you to make the duck again.
- 30:27Speaker 5: I'm bringing a frozen dirck.
- 30:29Speaker 2: No no, no, no, no, no no no, she won't, she
- 30:31Speaker 2: won't do the duck thing. She'll cook. She'll cook. And
- 30:34Speaker 2: then she's gonna make Aggie feel bad about having her cook.
- 30:38Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, that's true. The guilt trip. Man, It's
- 30:42Speaker 5: not mom without the guilt trip. It's not home without
- 30:45Speaker 5: the guilt trip.
- 30:46Speaker 2: You know how tired this makes me?
- 30:50Speaker 5: Oh my gosh. So you're not even joking. That is
- 30:53Speaker 5: the sad part. This is not even a joke. We're
- 30:57Speaker 5: laughing because we're paid.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, if you try so exactly Hispanic mommy guilt.
- 31:08Speaker 5: Yeah I was. I did listen to somebody had a
- 31:14Speaker 5: reel or something on social media about and this was
- 31:19Speaker 5: completely true. We Latino people tend to flirt unconsciously with
- 31:26Speaker 5: other people. It's it's it's low key, but it. But
- 31:30Speaker 5: we flirt all the time, and we don't mean to
- 31:32Speaker 5: do it. Like when we're we're helping a little lady
- 31:36Speaker 5: in the store. Don't worry, brasiosa, I got it for you.
- 31:40Speaker 5: I mean, you'll actually call her sweet names and stuff.
- 31:44Speaker 5: It's like I do that all the time.
- 31:46Speaker 2: But that's even even with the ladies in our culture.
- 31:51Speaker 2: It's just the way the machismo is.
- 31:55Speaker 5: Yeah, this is true.
- 31:57Speaker 2: I mean, the ladies have their brand of machismo.
- 32:00Speaker 5: You know.
- 32:00Speaker 2: I don't know what you call it, lachismo. I don't know, but.
- 32:11Speaker 5: I'm gonna tell that to my mother.
- 32:14Speaker 2: She's good, well, good, you tell her, You tell her
- 32:19Speaker 2: that the crazy Spaniard said it.
- 32:21Speaker 5: I will definitely tell her that, Oh my goodness, she was.
- 32:25Speaker 2: She was.
- 32:26Speaker 5: No, I mean, seriously, I have I've never had a
- 32:29Speaker 5: problem with anybody actually using a term of endearment, a
- 32:35Speaker 5: complete and total stranger doing so for me because I
- 32:38Speaker 5: was raising a that was a familiarity that most people
- 32:42Speaker 5: had as a way to like be kind to somebody else,
- 32:47Speaker 5: you know, calling them beautiful, calling them precious, calling them,
- 32:50Speaker 5: you know, all of this stuff that is that's indicative
- 32:53Speaker 5: of actually being a nice person in our culture. But
- 32:56Speaker 5: over here and yeah, that's not what it is.
- 33:02Speaker 2: But you know how you get away with it here, right,
- 33:05Speaker 2: m you have to turn the accent on.
- 33:07Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that's true. If you have the accent, didn't
- 33:10Speaker 5: get away with anything.
- 33:11Speaker 2: Right Then they start thinking, oh, you don't know any better,
- 33:17Speaker 2: or you're you're you're just so poor and misguided. I'll
- 33:21Speaker 2: take up this liberal banner and help you. And yeah, no, no,
- 33:27Speaker 2: I don't need that.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I don't know. I walked back into the room right
- 33:33Speaker 1: as Aggie was talking about the mom guilt from cooking. Yah,
- 33:38Speaker 1: I've been on my feet all day.
- 33:40Speaker 5: Why you know what, I'm going to take my phone
- 33:45Speaker 5: I'm going to hit record and I'm going to put
- 33:47Speaker 5: it off to the side. She's not even gonna notice.
- 33:49Speaker 5: But I'm saying I will post the recording.
- 33:55Speaker 2: And look, look, I'm gonna I'm gonna go out on
- 33:58Speaker 2: the on the honesty here, and I'm gonna say that
- 34:02Speaker 2: I had never heard the term la chiesemo before. That
- 34:07Speaker 2: was something I literally just threw off the fly.
- 34:10Speaker 5: I'm telling you that is I'm adopting that. I am
- 34:15Speaker 5: totally seeing that I'm gonna be using that. I'll give
- 34:17Speaker 5: you credit.
- 34:20Speaker 2: I mean, look, I mean, you know when when when
- 34:24Speaker 2: you know, when that hot Hispanic chica, you know, catches
- 34:28Speaker 2: something for you off the you know that you dropped
- 34:30Speaker 2: or whatever, and she looks at you at boom, you
- 34:34Speaker 2: know it's in her eyes she's got the la chiesmo.
- 34:39Speaker 2: It could be la chiese. MA. I don't care.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I was gonna say wou mo.
- 34:43Speaker 2: But it could go you know what, however you want
- 34:47Speaker 2: to use it. It's it's my term. It's my term.
- 34:51Speaker 2: So I make the rules on this.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Don't say it could go either way. That would be bad.
- 34:56Speaker 2: I mean saying. I'm just saying you can. I mean,
- 34:59Speaker 2: there there are there are exceptions with words where you know,
- 35:06Speaker 2: the feminine and the masculine mix in how you say it.
- 35:09Speaker 2: And it's okay, Aggie knows this.
- 35:13Speaker 1: Oh I know. I know too. I was just being
- 35:16Speaker 1: as smart.
- 35:16Speaker 2: As well, don't do that. No, I'm kidding.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Well, if you do whatever you want to do, well,
- 35:23Speaker 1: if you'd stop talking to me like a member of Laurassa,
- 35:25Speaker 1: maybe I wouldn't be giving you such a hard time.
- 35:29Speaker 5: Okay. So it is the bottom of the hour and
- 35:33Speaker 5: I'm supposed to bring a drink. And because we did
- 35:37Speaker 5: make that ranking on the Top masculated a podcast, I
- 35:41Speaker 5: thought we should have something to celebrate. And I found
- 35:44Speaker 5: a cocktail called Celebration.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Okay.
- 35:50Speaker 5: And it's not that it's actually pretty, it's pretty masculine.
- 35:54Speaker 5: It's kind of hoity toity in a way. I look
- 35:57Speaker 5: at that going this is relace super special occasions, but
- 36:01Speaker 5: this is one. This is a special occasion.
- 36:03Speaker 2: Yes, So does it get served with a little cool
- 36:05Speaker 2: in the gang in the background.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Well, you can.
- 36:10Speaker 2: Celebration.
- 36:13Speaker 5: It's not it's it's it's actually like I said, it's
- 36:15Speaker 5: a little hoity tody. But you probably have some of
- 36:18Speaker 5: the stuff in there, and you can buy smaller UH
- 36:23Speaker 5: bottles for some of the stuff so that you can
- 36:26Speaker 5: try it.
- 36:27Speaker 2: I'm sure has everything at the country.
- 36:30Speaker 5: Oh yes, em has empty has this stuff. So let's
- 36:36Speaker 5: see it's you're gonna take an ounce of Remy Martin vs.
- 36:40Speaker 5: Ogn announces through t Rosolver booth Okay announce of their
- 36:50Speaker 5: red Bitter, which is kind of like a campari uh
- 36:54Speaker 5: and two dashes of orange bitters angusteurs might go to.
- 36:59Speaker 1: So orange bitters is fine, and you're going to angle
- 37:03Speaker 1: Star or Riot.
- 37:10Speaker 5: You're going to need, believe it or not, you're going
- 37:12Speaker 5: to need a garnish with this. A lot of the
- 37:16Speaker 5: times I skip the garnish, but.
- 37:20Speaker 1: There you go.
- 37:24Speaker 2: Can I garnish that within ar.
- 37:30Speaker 5: So you're going to have orange zest, you know the appeal,
- 37:36Speaker 5: so you can twist it. You're going to add all
- 37:39Speaker 5: of the ingredients to a mixing picture with some ice
- 37:46Speaker 5: and you're going to stir it well until it's well chilled.
- 37:51Speaker 5: You strain it into the chilled coop and then you
- 37:54Speaker 5: will express the orange twist over the cocktail, and then
- 37:58Speaker 5: you drop it into the tail us well so that
- 38:01Speaker 5: the orange oils will infuse into the cocktail. And that
- 38:04Speaker 5: is your celebration. I like it.
- 38:07Speaker 2: I like the sound of it. I don't know about Amish,
- 38:10Speaker 2: but I am down for this with an artro Fuente
- 38:13Speaker 2: in my hand, for sure.
- 38:14Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm absolutely down for it.
- 38:19Speaker 2: Matter of fact, I need like a thirty two ounce
- 38:23Speaker 2: tumbler of this for the golf course.
- 38:28Speaker 5: It just sounds damn refreshing, it does It sounds like
- 38:33Speaker 5: you need a smoking jacket for this.
- 38:35Speaker 11: Lie.
- 38:36Speaker 1: No, it sounds like we need to bring this back
- 38:38Speaker 1: up again. And to be fair, I was already trying
- 38:47Speaker 1: to pipe this through before g said anything. Just my
- 38:49Speaker 1: phone was.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Great, minds.
- 38:56Speaker 5: Oh, we should have had a Pope deep cocktail. I'm
- 38:58Speaker 5: gonna have to look that up. MD. I'm not sure
- 39:01Speaker 5: I've ever heard of one, but there's about to be one.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Hey we can we should have one called the Drunken
- 39:09Speaker 2: you know what his brother called Nancy Pelosi.
- 39:19Speaker 1: I almost.
- 39:23Speaker 5: Okay, you guys can look that one up. I'll skip that.
- 39:28Speaker 2: You know. I know we're not raided on the air,
- 39:30Speaker 2: but I just I could not say that.
- 39:33Speaker 1: So hey, folks, we'll see you next Tuesday.
- 39:37Speaker 11: There.
- 39:38Speaker 2: You know.
- 39:40Speaker 7: You had me look and uh, there's a drink called
- 39:44Speaker 7: the Taste of mercy.
- 39:46Speaker 13: Oh for uh, you know the pope, so details ounce
- 39:56Speaker 13: and a half a bourbon okay.
- 40:00Speaker 7: Pounce of uh moaning pomegranate syrup.
- 40:04Speaker 11: Okay, bounce of for neette of what?
- 40:10Speaker 2: Okay?
- 40:13Speaker 7: And uh poor into a mixing glass with ice, Stir
- 40:15Speaker 7: until very cold, Pour into a shaker. Shake forty times.
- 40:20Speaker 7: That's a good biblical number, yeah, cocktail glass.
- 40:27Speaker 2: Yeah, forty days and forty nights.
- 40:31Speaker 1: I mean around here, around here it's ads andy knights.
- 40:35Speaker 2: But still, I mean, you know, especially at the circle
- 40:37Speaker 2: k right, i'musing that it wasn't that a country songty nights?
- 40:52Speaker 5: We sh a song I remember hearing? Forty Days and
- 40:55Speaker 5: forty nights? Is the schoolhouse rock.
- 40:57Speaker 1: One too Russian? I just had an idea, and I
- 41:02Speaker 1: don't know if we've floated this idea before. So if
- 41:03Speaker 1: I'm repeating myself, somebody just let me know. We should
- 41:06Speaker 1: start coming up with like a once a month drink
- 41:08Speaker 1: themed about one of the hosts of the show. I
- 41:10Speaker 1: think that would be kind of cool, not from the Yeah.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Yeah Collins, I don't know song called forty days and
- 41:26Speaker 2: forty nights.
- 41:27Speaker 1: I was right, Oh yeah, I could.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I misunderstand you said that for sure, I thought
- 41:32Speaker 2: I remembered it.
- 41:33Speaker 1: But yeah, my dad's a huge country fan, So unfortunately
- 41:37Speaker 1: I know pretty much every especially old school country.
- 41:40Speaker 5: Man I know, even though I do about a new country, even.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Though I'm not a country fan for the most part,
- 41:46Speaker 1: I will admit it's kind of grown on me a
- 41:48Speaker 1: bit as I've gotten older. Like my dad used to
- 41:50Speaker 1: love to listen to Johnny Cash, and I used to
- 41:52Speaker 1: hate listen to that.
- 41:53Speaker 11: Man.
- 41:53Speaker 2: I love his God, how could you hate Johnny Cash?
- 41:56Speaker 1: It was just it was the same thing over and
- 41:58Speaker 1: over and over again. But eventually it kind of grew
- 42:00Speaker 1: of me. He didn't ever, he didn't never range it
- 42:03Speaker 1: annoyed me.
- 42:04Speaker 2: Johnny Cash? What How did I explain this to somebody?
- 42:09Speaker 12: Once?
- 42:11Speaker 2: He he sells pain through his voice from his soul.
- 42:19Speaker 1: Yep, that's fair.
- 42:22Speaker 2: And I mean, if you felt pain, you can relate.
- 42:27Speaker 2: That's all I gotta say about it.
- 42:35Speaker 1: So I haven't I have an odd question, and this
- 42:37Speaker 1: is not show related, but I don't understand the conflict
- 42:41Speaker 1: conflagration that's happening right now. They keep posting pictures of
- 42:44Speaker 1: like the former Surgeon General next to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
- 42:49Speaker 1: And saying at least one of them is a doctor.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Last I checked, he's not the surgeon general unless I
- 42:53Speaker 1: missed something in general, so why And.
- 43:00Speaker 5: The surgeon general technically does not have to be a doctor.
- 43:04Speaker 5: It just happens that most of the time, it gets
- 43:06Speaker 5: to be somebody a position. Yes, And you know, one
- 43:12Speaker 5: of the things that a lot of people were getting
- 43:14Speaker 5: upset about with Jocelyn Elders was the surgeon general under
- 43:17Speaker 5: Bill Clinton. She wore the military uniform and people got
- 43:25Speaker 5: very upset because she had never served. Well, the uniform
- 43:29Speaker 5: is for that particular office. It's not actually a military uniform.
- 43:33Speaker 5: It was derived from a military uniform. It's for the
- 43:36Speaker 5: office of the surgeon general. So a lot of people
- 43:40Speaker 5: have to explain. Then a lot of people didn't know.
- 43:42Speaker 5: But you don't have to be a doctor to be
- 43:45Speaker 5: the surgeon general, just as you don't have to be
- 43:47Speaker 5: a judge to be a Supreme Court justice. Helena Kagan,
- 43:51Speaker 5: you know.
- 43:52Speaker 2: Right, yeah, No, she had no bench experience at all.
- 43:57Speaker 5: None, and she had a loss. It's a solicitor.
- 44:07Speaker 1: It's dead.
- 44:07Speaker 11: But anyway, Hey, I found out today that Globa is
- 44:12Speaker 11: a country.
- 44:13Speaker 5: Oh my word, I cannot I connot I couldnot.
- 44:18Speaker 2: Well, is that when it's right side up or upside down,
- 44:21Speaker 2: it makes a difference whether it flips or not.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Well, if you put the flash on it can it
- 44:27Speaker 1: could be a top just spin around and around and around.
- 44:30Speaker 5: The I I kind of understand where she's going with that.
- 44:36Speaker 5: Is it is it is its own culture, and it
- 44:39Speaker 5: is its own nation, but it is not its own country.
- 44:42Speaker 5: And there's a difference. It does not have its own
- 44:47Speaker 5: sovereignty and.
- 44:48Speaker 7: And Puerto Rico has its own culture.
- 44:52Speaker 5: Puerto Rico has its own culture, has its own you know,
- 44:56Speaker 5: it's its own nation, but it is not a country,
- 45:00Speaker 5: you know. And I have to I have to remind
- 45:01Speaker 5: my family about this all the time because they seem
- 45:07Speaker 5: to think differently.
- 45:08Speaker 7: Thanksgiving, oh God, don't get me started.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Fun times, all right, So since we're in about the
- 45:18Speaker 1: fifteen minute mark, we've got poles.
- 45:21Speaker 2: We've got poles.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Yep, Andrew's not here, So I guess I will be
- 45:25Speaker 1: honorary pole dude today and hang on, yeah, this will
- 45:33Speaker 1: not include any pole dancings. Nobody can get excited. But
- 45:37Speaker 1: so from Mark, shut up. You know you like it
- 45:43Speaker 1: when I jiggle. Don't even start with me.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Hey, if I needed that much motion, I'd buy a
- 45:48Speaker 2: water bed.
- 45:51Speaker 5: Oh that got dark really quick.
- 45:56Speaker 7: Remember my dance one.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Remember sure, it's about the motion of the ocean. So
- 46:02Speaker 1: I'm already winning the game.
- 46:04Speaker 5: All right, I need to leave the chat now.
- 46:08Speaker 1: Peak Twitter for March of twenty twenty five we had
- 46:11Speaker 1: tariffs are only for US or US snow red signaling
- 46:18Speaker 1: war plans and Tesla violence.
- 46:23Speaker 2: Oh it had to be the Tesla violence, right.
- 46:25Speaker 1: With a wopping fifty two point three percent. It was
- 46:28Speaker 1: Tesla violence for the wind.
- 46:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I figured it had to be.
- 46:33Speaker 1: All right, So Andrew, who is stuck at work, has
- 46:35Speaker 1: disseminated our new pole. He disseminated you perv not in
- 46:44Speaker 1: d you fucking perfse.
- 46:49Speaker 2: Well, at least he knows me.
- 46:53Speaker 1: I swear. It's like it's like doing a share with
- 46:56Speaker 1: a bunch of teenagers. All right, So peak Twitter for
- 46:59Speaker 1: April of twenty is.
- 47:07Speaker 7: All right.
- 47:08Speaker 1: UK Court defines women is hope number one or choice
- 47:12Speaker 1: number one? Sorry I was reading ahead and I pulled
- 47:16Speaker 1: Steve Pope's death, judge, Trump's president or cutter force one.
- 47:25Speaker 1: Oh that's voterally vote often and we'll let you know
- 47:31Speaker 1: the results next month.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Hey, you know you know what really gripes me about
- 47:35Speaker 2: this is there's discussion on both sides about he shouldn't he,
- 47:41Speaker 2: you know, and he's trying to defend it, and they're
- 47:44Speaker 2: they're given the reason why they should. And the whole
- 47:48Speaker 2: thing is is this hasn't happened. It's not a story
- 47:51Speaker 2: right now, It's just a freaking supposition, you know, a
- 47:57Speaker 2: proposal possibly if you will, let's wait just a damn
- 48:04Speaker 2: minute before we start screaming about the emolument's clause. And also,
- 48:13Speaker 2: if the plane is going to be given to the
- 48:15Speaker 2: United States Air Force, what diff does it make?
- 48:20Speaker 1: Yeah, there is, Well that's just it. If it's given
- 48:22Speaker 1: to the Air Force, there is no emoluments violation. And
- 48:25Speaker 1: I will say after doing the Afternoon Show today, one
- 48:27Speaker 1: of my kind of thought processes that I had an
- 48:30Speaker 1: issue with has been put to rest because what's going
- 48:32Speaker 1: to happen is Cutter is going to give through to
- 48:35Speaker 1: the Air Force, and then Air Force is going to
- 48:36Speaker 1: refit it to make it an a F one. So
- 48:38Speaker 1: for everybody, it was like, what about all the top
- 48:40Speaker 1: secret shit? Yeah, right, that's happened through.
- 48:43Speaker 7: The Air Force.
- 48:44Speaker 5: It has to be completely plane, it has to be
- 48:46Speaker 5: completely upgraded. It has to be secured and all that stuff.
- 48:50Speaker 5: The thing is, this is not a gift to the president.
- 48:52Speaker 5: The gift that goes to the Pentagon, and this is
- 48:55Speaker 5: that it's gipping over.
- 48:58Speaker 1: Yeah well so well this is this is my only concern,
- 49:01Speaker 1: and this is because of a story that came up
- 49:03Speaker 1: last hour. They are finding all kinds of alternative communication devices,
- 49:09Speaker 1: shall we say, in power inverters that are being used
- 49:12Speaker 1: that are from China, and things like solar panels and
- 49:16Speaker 1: batteries and all of that.
- 49:17Speaker 5: But we've been, to be fair, we've been screaming about
- 49:19Speaker 5: this for fifteen years.
- 49:22Speaker 7: That was a topic on cyber Wars.
- 49:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 49:25Speaker 1: Yeah, that's the whole reason I brought it up, because
- 49:29Speaker 1: I was waiting for already to say, well, if they
- 49:31Speaker 1: were listening to us on cyber Wars, they don't know
- 49:33Speaker 1: about this ten years ago, because yeah, I remember Pepper's farm.
- 49:40Speaker 11: But yeah, the whole reason there's this whole brew haha,
- 49:44Speaker 11: is because the two seven forty seven's that were ordered.
- 49:49Speaker 2: In twenty seventeen, yeah, are still not ready, are still
- 49:54Speaker 2: aren't going.
- 49:55Speaker 7: To be ready until twenty twenty nine.
- 49:57Speaker 5: And yeah budget yeah, yep, yeah, So I mean I
- 50:03Speaker 5: I I.
- 50:03Speaker 1: I don't really like the idea of our president flying
- 50:07Speaker 1: around in a foreign plane. But I kind of understand
- 50:09Speaker 1: his reasoning because it's like.
- 50:10Speaker 7: Hey, we gave you guys this.
- 50:13Speaker 2: Here's a second, Hang on a second, who actually made
- 50:16Speaker 2: the plane? Cutter? Didn't make the plane?
- 50:19Speaker 11: Right, it's still Boeing.
- 50:20Speaker 1: True, it's probably still a bowing plane. Think about that.
- 50:23Speaker 2: Well, here's here's my thing. Why don't they look to
- 50:26Speaker 2: air Bus? Maybe?
- 50:30Speaker 11: Oh, that would be a bad image.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Why I made right here in this country, I mean
- 50:36Speaker 2: a half hour down the road from me.
- 50:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a French I mean.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Their parent company is Europe, yes, But still.
- 50:48Speaker 7: I mean I like the uh three eighty. That's a
- 50:50Speaker 7: that's a fun point.
- 50:54Speaker 2: I mean, you know, if we're if we're looking for alternatives.
- 50:58Speaker 2: You know, Airbus right now is robbing Boeing blind of
- 51:05Speaker 2: airline orders.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Well, to be fair, Boweing keeps stepping on its dick
- 51:11Speaker 1: and handing all the orders to air Bus. Well, yeah,
- 51:14Speaker 1: they got so wrapped up in all the d e
- 51:17Speaker 1: eye bullshit that there were stories about people that were
- 51:20Speaker 1: trying to do the assemblies, that were jumping up and
- 51:22Speaker 1: down on the panels on the planes to make them fit,
- 51:24Speaker 1: and the inspectors were like, they're not supposed to do that. Well,
- 51:28Speaker 1: we're just trying to meet the order deadline. And then
- 51:30Speaker 1: everybody's wondering, why are all these panels flying off of
- 51:34Speaker 1: Boweing planes when they're in the air. I wonder why.
- 51:38Speaker 2: We again, why not give as a shot? Then?
- 51:44Speaker 11: See, I I'm with your argument just for the fact
- 51:47Speaker 11: that because everybody forgot because they let uh NASA take
- 51:52Speaker 11: the blame for them, it was Boeing that stranded two
- 51:55Speaker 11: whistle blowers up at the ISS.
- 51:57Speaker 7: For eight months.
- 51:58Speaker 11: Yes, I guess they were whistleblowers, they were not astronauts.
- 52:06Speaker 1: So I was actually pointing that out when Trump was like,
- 52:09Speaker 1: we've got the new F forty seven and we're giving
- 52:12Speaker 1: Boeing the contract, I'm like, that's the company that just
- 52:14Speaker 1: tranded to people in space for almost a year. You
- 52:18Speaker 1: really want to give them the gig?
- 52:20Speaker 7: Really?
- 52:21Speaker 2: I mean, I look, I get it, they are an
- 52:23Speaker 2: American company, and I get wanting to keep the business
- 52:27Speaker 2: in America, But I mean, my god, how much more
- 52:30Speaker 2: can Airbus do other than move their headquarters to the US.
- 52:35Speaker 1: Well, so my question is is Boeing the only US
- 52:39Speaker 1: aircraft manufacturer left because there Lockheed Martin.
- 52:45Speaker 7: So I'm just thinking maybe I was just looking for
- 52:48Speaker 7: North of Grubbing two. No, they don't.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I was gonna say, I don't know if everybody
- 52:53Speaker 2: still makes planes, but.
- 52:56Speaker 7: I mean North of Grubbin does it. They make the
- 52:58Speaker 7: B two and you know to be twenty one but right,
- 53:01Speaker 7: but but.
- 53:02Speaker 2: They don't mass produce like commercial jetliners.
- 53:06Speaker 11: And no, you know what I want to think about it,
- 53:12Speaker 11: I'm okay with you because it is made in America.
- 53:14Speaker 11: I'm okay with your airbus.
- 53:17Speaker 2: I mean, you know, like I said, they got hundreds
- 53:19Speaker 2: of people employed just across the bay over in Mobile, Alabama,
- 53:23Speaker 2: and they put the planes together right there on site,
- 53:27Speaker 2: and everything gets tested right on the old Brookly Air
- 53:31Speaker 2: Force Base field strip. They make their test runs before
- 53:36Speaker 2: they get sold and the orders completed. They know the
- 53:39Speaker 2: plane flies, and they know it does right before they
- 53:42Speaker 2: even ship it out the door.
- 53:45Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 53:46Speaker 7: I was right. It's the A three eighty. That's the
- 53:47Speaker 7: equivalent of their seven forty seven.
- 53:49Speaker 11: Yeah yeah, yeah, with that fuck it.
- 53:55Speaker 7: Fucking yeah.
- 53:57Speaker 2: Locke hasn't made commercial plane since the ten eleven. Yeah,
- 54:00Speaker 2: that's that sounds right, Campbell L ten eleven, I remember those.
- 54:09Speaker 1: But my question is what happened because and I understand,
- 54:13Speaker 1: you know, eventually, you know, competition usually squeezes somebody out.
- 54:16Speaker 2: But when Boeing happened, But when you've got a.
- 54:19Speaker 1: Company screwing up that badly, somebody that does still manufacture
- 54:23Speaker 1: airplanes didn't say, hey, maybe we should try to get
- 54:25Speaker 1: back into that business.
- 54:26Speaker 2: Yeah, But here's the thing. Through the through the sixties,
- 54:29Speaker 2: seventies and eighties, Boeing was stellar.
- 54:34Speaker 7: Yeah, they were the gold standard that everything else was
- 54:36Speaker 7: judged by.
- 54:37Speaker 2: So I mean, yeah, they were, and you know it.
- 54:40Speaker 2: They shot themselves in the foot and did what they've
- 54:43Speaker 2: done to themselves. But that doesn't mean we have to
- 54:47Speaker 2: keep rewarding them.
- 54:49Speaker 11: I mean, with the exception of two planes, everything I've
- 54:51Speaker 11: ever been on has been a seven, twenty seven, thirty seven,
- 54:54Speaker 11: forty seven, or fifty seven.
- 54:58Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, I mean I've flown on all kinds
- 55:02Speaker 2: of different planes. But it just it's just mind boggling
- 55:08Speaker 2: how we let them hamstring. I mean, the most important
- 55:14Speaker 2: plane in the friggin free world, right, I mean, I'm
- 55:24Speaker 2: gonna add a trillion dollars to the debt for it
- 55:26Speaker 2: before it's over with.
- 55:29Speaker 1: Well, the good news is we're getting a trillion dollars
- 55:32Speaker 1: back from the Middle East. So far so well.
- 55:34Speaker 2: I mean I was gonna say, we're gonna we're gonna
- 55:35Speaker 2: fly this this Boeing Air Force one jet for five
- 55:40Speaker 2: years and it's going to be outdated because they started it,
- 55:46Speaker 2: like already said, you know, almost ten years ago.
- 55:50Speaker 1: Mm hm, well, I mean hopefully by the time.
- 55:55Speaker 2: They put five years of airtime on it, it's going
- 55:57Speaker 2: to be twenty five years old.
- 55:59Speaker 1: Well hopefull by then the president gets an upgrade anyway
- 56:02Speaker 1: and starts flating around in space Force one, you know,
- 56:04Speaker 1: like the first jet that can ever go from ground
- 56:06Speaker 1: to orbit or something that.
- 56:10Speaker 7: That Locked Martin one.
- 56:14Speaker 2: Wait what did you say, gee, Hovercraft one?
- 56:18Speaker 1: Oh nice? And almost did you say there already is one?
- 56:27Speaker 7: No, I said the Lockheed Martin one.
- 56:29Speaker 11: Okay, they had that space plane concept a few years ago.
- 56:35Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I remember, yeah, I remember seeing the sketches.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Campbell's saying that Bowe now owns McDonald douglas, so ah
- 56:52Speaker 2: wholly owned subsidiary of.
- 56:58Speaker 7: Hey, you know what you make, we can make with
- 57:00Speaker 7: Canada again and get some of them the bartier's.
- 57:03Speaker 2: You know, why don't we just build a modern day Concord.
- 57:09Speaker 5: Don't get me started on that story. So salty about
- 57:15Speaker 5: the whole the way that went down.
- 57:18Speaker 11: Wait, I want to hear well, you know, the damn planes.
- 57:23Speaker 5: Were built and British Airways paid one pound for those
- 57:30Speaker 5: planes and then everything. They just made money off of
- 57:36Speaker 5: this stuff. And then when it came time to retire,
- 57:39Speaker 5: they decided to retire them. And there were people who
- 57:42Speaker 5: were willing to actually buy the plane so that they
- 57:46Speaker 5: could keep flying them, and they said no, Concord was
- 57:50Speaker 5: going to be retired, end of story, because they didn't
- 57:52Speaker 5: want Americans to have it. I am still salty over this.
- 57:57Speaker 5: That was a fabulous plane and I would pay I
- 58:00Speaker 5: would have paid five figures to fly on it once.
- 58:02Speaker 5: I mean, that was like on my list. Okay, admittedly
- 58:06Speaker 5: I'm still saving up for it in case it happens,
- 58:08Speaker 5: but it's not going to happen, so but still, I mean,
- 58:11Speaker 5: it's just it's the point of it. You had the
- 58:15Speaker 5: opportunity they could have made money because they were always
- 58:19Speaker 5: in the black for flying it, and they yeah, and
- 58:27Speaker 5: people were willing.
- 58:27Speaker 1: To pay for it, right, So you just gave me,
- 58:32Speaker 1: he said, she said, idea what we should do bucket lists?
- 58:37Speaker 5: Oh okay, I will win on my mine has a
- 58:41Speaker 5: hundred things on it. Were no small one.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Have to either god damn or we could do a
- 58:55Speaker 1: multi party. I guess I don't know. But so Stephen
- 59:01Speaker 1: makes a great point. And I have often wondered this
- 59:04Speaker 1: question myself, and I get the logistics and all the
- 59:06Speaker 1: things that all the things that they normally have to
- 59:08Speaker 1: fly with, the press corps, the communications, everything else. But
- 59:12Speaker 1: with technology the way it is now, do we still
- 59:15Speaker 1: really need to give this man a plane that's the
- 59:17Speaker 1: size of a fucking office building to fly in?
- 59:20Speaker 11: Really?
- 59:20Speaker 2: Well, you know that was thege that Yeah, that was
- 59:25Speaker 2: the entourage and the press corps that really did that.
- 59:30Speaker 11: It's awesome.
- 59:31Speaker 7: I know you don't have to, but.
- 59:34Speaker 2: You still got to have enough room for secret service.
- 59:36Speaker 2: You still got to have enough room for the chefs,
- 59:39Speaker 2: and you still got to have enough room for this
- 59:41Speaker 2: and that and the other things.
- 59:43Speaker 5: Kind to have a whole living living quarters area for
- 59:48Speaker 5: when you know he's.
- 59:51Speaker 1: I mean, all I'm going to say about that is,
- 59:53Speaker 1: if flying in a cattle car is good enough for
- 59:55Speaker 1: me and you, it should work.
- 59:56Speaker 6: For him.
- 59:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I still remember when we could fly from from
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: here to Puerto Rico back in the seventies, there was
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: actual space between the seats. The seats were not stuck together,
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: there was space between the seats. I remember that distinctly.
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: They were smoking on the plane too.
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: Yep, there was a smoking section back because miraculously the
- 1:00:22Speaker 5: smoke stayed back there. I don't know how that worked.
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: And we wore jackets.
- 1:00:31Speaker 11: People.
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: People used to dress to fly. I still do.
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: I still dress up to fly.
- 1:00:36Speaker 2: Like I still wear pajamas now too.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: So back in the day, like when everybody used to
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: dress up to get on a train. Then it became
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: the planes, and now everybody just does everything in their
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: fucking majamas.
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: Have you been to Walmart?
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Stop dramas, go to the theater, it's the same way.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's sad.
- 1:01:00Speaker 5: We used to be a proper country.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: We used to be. Yep, we're working on trying to
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: see if we can see if we can become one again.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: All right, So I have not heard from mss Lennox,
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: So I guess we will be running jeans show in
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: a minute. But believe it or not, folks down to
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: know about a minute and a half.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: So any final thoughts before we start doing the usual closings.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: No, I'm thoughtless.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: Well this we know, but thanks for.
