- 0:13Speaker 1: Hello you guys, Welcome back to another episode of the
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hawkeral Energy Podcast. I'm your host, Kaylie, and this is
- 0:19Speaker 1: your weekly reminder that it's a new day, a new week,
- 0:22Speaker 1: a new mindset, and another day for you to become
- 0:24Speaker 1: the Howkeral Energy you want to a track? Hello you guys,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Happy at twenty twenty six and happy new Year. It
- 0:30Speaker 1: has been a bit since I've been on the mic,
- 0:33Speaker 1: but I'm not gonna lie. It was a much needed
- 0:35Speaker 1: break and I feel so so good going into this
- 0:40Speaker 1: new year. I hope you guys had the most amazing
- 0:43Speaker 1: holiday season with your friends and family, really just enjoyed
- 0:47Speaker 1: some relaxation. I know I did, and also just kind of,
- 0:50Speaker 1: you know, kind of went into the new year with
- 0:52Speaker 1: a fresh mindset, you know, really looking forward to the
- 0:56Speaker 1: new year ahead, and of course just kind of like
- 0:59Speaker 1: planning or and prepping for twenty twenty six. I personally
- 1:03Speaker 1: felt like these past two weeks have not really been
- 1:06Speaker 1: a break, to be honest, because I feel like I
- 1:09Speaker 1: put all my energy of just organizing decluttering this entire house,
- 1:14Speaker 1: which I'm so happy I did. I always love to
- 1:18Speaker 1: do that every single year. I kind of talked about
- 1:20Speaker 1: that in a few episodes before this one here of
- 1:24Speaker 1: just chatting about things I'm doing before the new year,
- 1:27Speaker 1: and Zach and I dedicated four days of his break
- 1:31Speaker 1: of just literally going through the entire house top to bottom,
- 1:35Speaker 1: and we just like went through our nightstands, went through
- 1:37Speaker 1: our vanities, went through you know, the storage room and
- 1:41Speaker 1: our basements, just like random areas that like we always
- 1:44Speaker 1: ignore that we just like need to go through the pantry,
- 1:47Speaker 1: the fridge. Like I did such a big deep clean
- 1:50Speaker 1: of our fridge. I think it took me like two
- 1:51Speaker 1: hours because I literally through any expired food, took a
- 1:56Speaker 1: cute tip and a toothpick of just like getting in
- 1:58Speaker 1: those areas that are just like annoying that have dust
- 2:02Speaker 1: or dirt or whatever. Right, So I just like went
- 2:04Speaker 1: in really hard with cleaning the fridge, and I feel
- 2:06Speaker 1: really good about it. But I don't know, I just
- 2:08Speaker 1: feel like all areas of the house had to be done.
- 2:10Speaker 1: And because we did this last year, I felt like
- 2:13Speaker 1: it was a little bit easier. This year didn't feel
- 2:15Speaker 1: as long. Last year was like our first time ever
- 2:18Speaker 1: doing this kind of like purge, and it took us
- 2:22Speaker 1: way longer. Last year. I think it took us like
- 2:24Speaker 1: six days to do the entire house, whereas this time
- 2:26Speaker 1: it only took us like three to four days. So
- 2:29Speaker 1: definitely a lot easier than yeah, the previous year, because
- 2:34Speaker 1: the previous year, I think was like two to three
- 2:35Speaker 1: years of stuff that we collected, whereas this time it
- 2:38Speaker 1: was only a year's worth. And then I'm so happy
- 2:41Speaker 1: because this time next year, we'll be in our new
- 2:44Speaker 1: house and we move in hopefully in August early September,
- 2:48Speaker 1: so we'll be not really having to do a purge
- 2:51Speaker 1: because we'll only be in the house for four months,
- 2:53Speaker 1: so I'm hoping that the house will be in good
- 2:55Speaker 1: standings by that point. So yeah, anyways, if you haven't
- 3:00Speaker 1: done a little organization, maybe try and find a weekend
- 3:04Speaker 1: this month to just kind of like go through areas
- 3:07Speaker 1: that you have been avoiding of cleaning. It feels so good.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Trust me, it's so annoying to do it, Like it's
- 3:14Speaker 1: not the best thing in the world. I'm not gonna lie.
- 3:16Speaker 1: I don't want to sit here and say, oh my god,
- 3:18Speaker 1: it was so much fun, Like I would love to
- 3:20Speaker 1: do it again. Like it was not fun at all,
- 3:22Speaker 1: like Zach and I just hated it. But after doing it,
- 3:26Speaker 1: it felt so good. The house felt so clean, and
- 3:29Speaker 1: everything feels clean now, Like everything just feels so good,
- 3:32Speaker 1: and I'm just so happy with how it turned out,
- 3:34Speaker 1: and I'm happy that we put the energy towards it.
- 3:37Speaker 1: So as much as I had a break, I definitely
- 3:39Speaker 1: kind of didn't because I put so much energy of
- 3:41Speaker 1: cleaning the house and all that. We also did like
- 3:44Speaker 1: a four hour reset after taking down the Christmas decorations.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I filmed a YouTube blog of just like the entire
- 3:50Speaker 1: weekend of like I think it was January second, January fourth,
- 3:55Speaker 1: I just like literally did a whole house reset, took
- 3:58Speaker 1: everything down, put all the home decor items back where
- 4:01Speaker 1: they're supposed to go, all that. So if you want
- 4:03Speaker 1: to see that, I will have a linked in the description.
- 4:05Speaker 1: But anyway, it's just really spent this entire break just
- 4:08Speaker 1: really getting this house all organized, all clean, and it
- 4:12Speaker 1: feels really really good going into a new year. We
- 4:14Speaker 1: are going to be talking about healthy girl habits in
- 4:16Speaker 1: this episode. I really wanted to chat about things that
- 4:19Speaker 1: you can do to start in the new year, just
- 4:21Speaker 1: because I feel like January is always that month where
- 4:24Speaker 1: everybody kind of really focuses on their goals and a
- 4:27Speaker 1: lot of it has to do with health goals and
- 4:29Speaker 1: health and wellness, and I kind of wanted to share
- 4:31Speaker 1: a bit of a starter kit of things that I
- 4:34Speaker 1: personally love in the health and wellness industry, but also
- 4:36Speaker 1: things that I've recently discovered that I'm going to be
- 4:39Speaker 1: taking into twenty twenty six as a habit for myself
- 4:42Speaker 1: that I've just honestly recently discovered that I figured I
- 4:45Speaker 1: would share with you guys. I did do an episode recently,
- 4:49Speaker 1: like probably a month ago now about just habits I'm
- 4:52Speaker 1: taking into twenty twenty six that I've consistently done throughout
- 4:56Speaker 1: the past year of twenty twenty five, but this one's
- 4:59Speaker 1: a little bit different. Just some things that might be
- 5:01Speaker 1: a little similar, but some new things that I personally
- 5:04Speaker 1: think are really worth trying in the new year, especially
- 5:08Speaker 1: for someone who might be starting out their health and
- 5:10Speaker 1: wallless journey. Like if you're someone that might be new
- 5:13Speaker 1: to this podcast or someone that you never really took
- 5:16Speaker 1: the time of focusing on their health, feel like this
- 5:19Speaker 1: is a really good episode just to kind of like
- 5:21Speaker 1: listen to get some tips on maybe new habits that
- 5:24Speaker 1: you can take into yourself going into this new Year Ahead.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Before we get into this episode, I do want to
- 5:30Speaker 1: quickly touch on vision boards, because I feel like that's
- 5:33Speaker 1: something that we've definitely talked about a lot these past
- 5:35Speaker 1: few episodes. But I want to just send a gentle
- 5:38Speaker 1: reminder to anyone that hasn't created one, do so now,
- 5:42Speaker 1: because it is the best feeling creating your vision board.
- 5:45Speaker 1: I actually made mine on January first. I spent the
- 5:49Speaker 1: entire day just sitting on my couch watching movies, pulling
- 5:52Speaker 1: images from Pinterest, really just kind of figuring out how
- 5:54Speaker 1: I envision my year ahead. And obviously I took out
- 5:58Speaker 1: my planner. I wrote out four different sections of my goals,
- 6:02Speaker 1: so I always do my health goals, my life goals,
- 6:05Speaker 1: my personal goals, and then my work goals, so I
- 6:08Speaker 1: kind of all separate it in that way, and then
- 6:11Speaker 1: I write at least like five goals for each section,
- 6:15Speaker 1: and then going on pinchers obviously, as you guys know,
- 6:17Speaker 1: figuring out images that kind of reflect those goals and
- 6:21Speaker 1: putting it on a visual and I usually put it
- 6:24Speaker 1: as an iPhone backdrop and then my laptop desktop as well.
- 6:29Speaker 1: So I literally spent like probably three hours going through
- 6:33Speaker 1: Pinter's images. You know, putting it on display, trying to
- 6:36Speaker 1: figure out the arrangement, all that, and I'm so happy
- 6:39Speaker 1: with how it turned out. I am very very excited
- 6:42Speaker 1: for this year. I feel like there's a lot of
- 6:44Speaker 1: things that I'm really excited for. I'm turning thirty this year. Guys.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I can't believe I'm turning thirty. That is so wild
- 6:51Speaker 1: to even say that out loud. That for me is
- 6:54Speaker 1: like a huge one. I'm so excited to enter my
- 6:57Speaker 1: thirties and just kind of like enter a new chapter. Obviously,
- 7:00Speaker 1: Zach and I are moving into our new house, which
- 7:02Speaker 1: is very exciting. I feel like it's a new chapter
- 7:05Speaker 1: for us. I feel like this house here, obviously it
- 7:08Speaker 1: was our first house and we've lived here for over
- 7:11Speaker 1: four years and we adore it. It's going to be
- 7:13Speaker 1: honestly the toughest move because obviously we've gotten engaged here,
- 7:17Speaker 1: we've gotten married here. It just our first house together.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Like there's a lot of memories that are at this place.
- 7:22Speaker 1: But this new house, I think we're both just so
- 7:25Speaker 1: excited because we know this is like the next step
- 7:28Speaker 1: in our marriage. Of also like knowing that this is
- 7:32Speaker 1: going to be our kid's house and it's also like
- 7:35Speaker 1: I don't know, such a big purchase in such an
- 7:37Speaker 1: exciting time of like I don't know putting all our
- 7:40Speaker 1: energy in this house. This house here, it was again
- 7:43Speaker 1: our first house, so we didn't put a lot of
- 7:44Speaker 1: money into it. Like obviously we did a really nice
- 7:47Speaker 1: job with how we decorated it, and we put a
- 7:49Speaker 1: lot of the money towards the kitchen and all that.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Where I feel like this new house like we've been
- 7:54Speaker 1: putting so much work into it of like how we
- 7:58Speaker 1: really envisioned our dream house to look like and obviously
- 8:01Speaker 1: a lot of money is going into it, which whatever
- 8:03Speaker 1: it is, what it is, but like that's what we want,
- 8:06Speaker 1: Like we want this house to be a house for
- 8:08Speaker 1: us to have these next ten to fifteen years, Like
- 8:10Speaker 1: this is the long term house for us. This one
- 8:12Speaker 1: was still a big deal. Obviously, buying your first house
- 8:15Speaker 1: is a big deal. But I don't know, I feel
- 8:17Speaker 1: like this next one is really exciting for us, and
- 8:19Speaker 1: we feel like our hard work has really like been
- 8:22Speaker 1: shown through this new house because I feel like these
- 8:25Speaker 1: past five years, Zach and I have just like worked
- 8:27Speaker 1: our butt off to like wanting to get to the
- 8:29Speaker 1: point that we've gotten to, which is this new house
- 8:32Speaker 1: that we purchased, So I'm really proud of us and
- 8:34Speaker 1: just kind of seeing the growth that we've had for that,
- 8:37Speaker 1: so very excited for that new chapter. And then obviously
- 8:40Speaker 1: just taking my health a huge step forward this year,
- 8:44Speaker 1: Like I really really want to gear in this year,
- 8:46Speaker 1: because I've mentioned it before, I am in my journey
- 8:50Speaker 1: of prepping for pregnancy and trying to conceive, so I'm
- 8:54Speaker 1: like very locked in and really wanting to make this
- 8:57Speaker 1: year all about just my mental health and just ways
- 9:00Speaker 1: that I can really focus on myself. So yeah, it's
- 9:05Speaker 1: quite exciting. But that's kind of like a little sneak
- 9:08Speaker 1: peek of some things that I'm kind of working on
- 9:10Speaker 1: this year and things that I'm really looking forward to.
- 9:14Speaker 1: So yeah, anyways, let's get into today's episode. I just
- 9:17Speaker 1: wanted to kind of catch up with you guys and
- 9:19Speaker 1: do a little recap of how things have been and
- 9:22Speaker 1: what has been going on these past few weeks. But
- 9:24Speaker 1: let's talk about some healthy girl habits that we're going
- 9:27Speaker 1: to start in twenty twenty six. Okay, the first one
- 9:31Speaker 1: is drinking tea. The girls are drinking tea in twenty
- 9:34Speaker 1: twenty six, tea is such an important thing to include
- 9:38Speaker 1: in cheer routine. In my opinion, I think there's so
- 9:40Speaker 1: many amazing benefits to it. Two teas in particular that
- 9:43Speaker 1: I personally love are a green tea in the morning
- 9:46Speaker 1: and then a peppermint tea at night for two specific reasons.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I like to have a green tea in the morning
- 9:51Speaker 1: because I do find it helps support metabolism. It also
- 9:55Speaker 1: helps with your focus, boost energy, just a lot of yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: random benefits that I feel like really really help, especially
- 10:04Speaker 1: in the morning. I feel like, obviously I want to
- 10:06Speaker 1: be focused throughout the day, I want to have my energy,
- 10:09Speaker 1: and obviously the metabolism is something that I think everybody
- 10:11Speaker 1: wants to prolong for themselves, so that's kind of like
- 10:15Speaker 1: why I like to do that in the morning. And
- 10:17Speaker 1: then I love to have a peppermint tea at night
- 10:19Speaker 1: because it's great for digestion and I also feel like
- 10:23Speaker 1: this just supports my sleep, So I feel like I
- 10:25Speaker 1: get better sleeps when I have a peppermint tea every
- 10:28Speaker 1: single night. And also just like it's a great way
- 10:32Speaker 1: to reduce stress. I find having a tea at night
- 10:35Speaker 1: is very calming. Peppermint tea also is typically caffeine free.
- 10:39Speaker 1: I just want to note that, so just know that
- 10:42Speaker 1: peppermint t is usually caffeine free, so you don't have
- 10:44Speaker 1: to stress about having the caffeine before bed. But I
- 10:47Speaker 1: find it very calming. I find it very relaxing. I
- 10:49Speaker 1: feel like every time I have a peppermint tea before
- 10:52Speaker 1: I go to bed, it's just like the best feeling ever.
- 10:54Speaker 1: I don't know how to explain it. It's just that
- 10:56Speaker 1: warm cup of tea in bed, either reading a book
- 11:00Speaker 1: or watching TV. Like, it's just it's very relaxing. And again,
- 11:04Speaker 1: I just find it helps with my digestion, it helps
- 11:07Speaker 1: with my bloating, and it also just kind of helps
- 11:10Speaker 1: with my sleep and rest and all that. So anyways,
- 11:13Speaker 1: I think all the girls are drinking tea this year,
- 11:15Speaker 1: and they're making it a non negotiable and I think, yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 1: it's just worth it for the benefits and doing it
- 11:21Speaker 1: every single day and actually being consistent with it is
- 11:24Speaker 1: when you're going to see the results, in my opinion.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Another thing I love that the girls are doing is
- 11:29Speaker 1: early morning eyemass. Every single morning, when I wake up
- 11:32Speaker 1: in the morning, I put on some eyemass and I
- 11:35Speaker 1: find it so soothing and obviously it's great benefits for
- 11:39Speaker 1: your under eyes and your skin. I also love using
- 11:43Speaker 1: a ice roller in the morning, so I always use
- 11:46Speaker 1: my Skinny Confidential ice roller. It's so good. I just
- 11:50Speaker 1: love how it deeposs my face in the morning. Also,
- 11:53Speaker 1: just for someone who likes to wake up early in
- 11:55Speaker 1: the morning, like myself, I wake up at six every
- 11:58Speaker 1: single morning, and I find it's the best way to
- 12:00Speaker 1: wake up. Like I'm not always fully awake, Like sometimes
- 12:04Speaker 1: when I'm filming specifically, I'm like, oh my gosh, like
- 12:06Speaker 1: I do not want to do this right now, But
- 12:08Speaker 1: then as soon as I take out my ice roller
- 12:10Speaker 1: and I put it on my face for the five minutes,
- 12:12Speaker 1: I'm like, Okay, I'm awake. I'm feeling good. Let's get
- 12:14Speaker 1: this day started. Like the ice roller does actually really
- 12:17Speaker 1: help soothe your face but also give you a bit
- 12:20Speaker 1: of a wake up call. So using the imass using
- 12:23Speaker 1: the ice roller, I don't know. I find they have
- 12:25Speaker 1: great benefits to it, and I love doing it every
- 12:27Speaker 1: single morning. And also, let's be honest, we love doing
- 12:29Speaker 1: a little bit of self care and starting your day
- 12:31Speaker 1: off that way. I feel like just starts the day
- 12:34Speaker 1: off in the best way possible. So doing those little
- 12:36Speaker 1: things really do add up and makes your morning more
- 12:40Speaker 1: enjoyable and also kind of pushes you to want to
- 12:43Speaker 1: wake up early to do those things. So highly recommend
- 12:47Speaker 1: doing that for someone that might be starting out with
- 12:50Speaker 1: their morning routine, or again, just some health benefits that
- 12:53Speaker 1: you want to include into your routine for this new year.
- 12:57Speaker 1: This next one is what everyone's been talking about lately,
- 13:00Speaker 1: and I was influenced and I did purchase one, but
- 13:03Speaker 1: the vibration plate. Everybody is talking about using a vibration
- 13:07Speaker 1: plate every single morning for ten to fifteen minutes. It's
- 13:10Speaker 1: going to help reduce inflammation, it's going to help boost circulation. Apparently,
- 13:14Speaker 1: there's so many amazing benefits to using it. Also, a
- 13:17Speaker 1: lot of people have been talking about muscle recovery, which
- 13:20Speaker 1: is going to be a big one for this year. Okay,
- 13:23Speaker 1: that's something we're going to chat about. Maybe I'll chat
- 13:25Speaker 1: about the muscle recovery actually after this. But muscle recovery
- 13:28Speaker 1: is something that I am focusing on for twenty twenty
- 13:31Speaker 1: six because I'm a girl that gets injured a lot
- 13:34Speaker 1: because oh I work out a lot, So I need
- 13:37Speaker 1: to really make that a priority. Again, I haven't even
- 13:39Speaker 1: tried it out yet. I just ordered it two days ago.
- 13:42Speaker 1: It's coming in today, so I'm very excited about that.
- 13:46Speaker 1: But yeah, I have never used one before, so I
- 13:50Speaker 1: will give you guys my honest review on what I
- 13:52Speaker 1: think of this. But everyone's been talking about it. I've
- 13:54Speaker 1: seen some girls that are talking about it that I've
- 13:56Speaker 1: been using it for the past few years or past
- 13:58Speaker 1: few months and are saying that, like, the results have
- 14:01Speaker 1: been incredible. I've also seen people say that, yeah, it
- 14:05Speaker 1: doesn't really work for me, I didn't see any benefit whatever.
- 14:07Speaker 1: It really just depends on who you are as a person.
- 14:11Speaker 1: I personally think it's worth trying out. I'm going to
- 14:13Speaker 1: try it out. I'll let you guys know what I think.
- 14:15Speaker 1: If I don't like it, I'll sell it. Or if
- 14:18Speaker 1: I love it, it's going to be a part of
- 14:20Speaker 1: my routine and I'm going to do it every single day.
- 14:21Speaker 1: So it's definitely something that I feel like is a
- 14:24Speaker 1: personal take for certain people. But I'm very excited to
- 14:28Speaker 1: try it out, and we'll let you guys know my
- 14:30Speaker 1: honest feedback once I've used it for a few weeks. Okay,
- 14:33Speaker 1: So Muscle Recovery this is something that I'm making a
- 14:36Speaker 1: non negotiable this year, stretching after my workouts, stretching before
- 14:40Speaker 1: my workouts, warming up, like just making it a non
- 14:43Speaker 1: negotiable before and after my workouts. Because your girl has
- 14:47Speaker 1: been injured a few times this year, and I know
- 14:50Speaker 1: it's because I did not take my muscle recovery seriously.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Every time I was sore, I didn't even think anything
- 14:56Speaker 1: of it, just kind of was like, oh, I'm probably
- 14:58Speaker 1: just sore from my workout whatever. I have now had
- 15:02Speaker 1: my back injury for almost three months. It is still
- 15:06Speaker 1: not one hundred percent. Unfortunately. It is an injury that
- 15:10Speaker 1: does take a long time to heal, which has been
- 15:13Speaker 1: very tough on me mentally, because you know, I can
- 15:16Speaker 1: go to a workout class and I can do the workout,
- 15:18Speaker 1: but I just know, four or five hours after that workout,
- 15:22Speaker 1: I'm going to need a heating pad on my back.
- 15:24Speaker 1: I'm going to need to sit upright. I can't sleep
- 15:26Speaker 1: on my bed properly. Like I've already made so many
- 15:29Speaker 1: adjustments into my day to day routine, Like I had
- 15:32Speaker 1: to buy a new pillow because my pillow wasn't supporting
- 15:36Speaker 1: my back properly. You know I have to sleep in
- 15:38Speaker 1: certain positions because the way I was sleeping before again
- 15:42Speaker 1: wasn't really helping with my back injury. So I've just
- 15:45Speaker 1: had to make so many changes, and I do honestly
- 15:48Speaker 1: think it's because I didn't take muscle recovery seriously. So
- 15:52Speaker 1: from someone with experience who has injured themselves multiple times,
- 15:56Speaker 1: and if I can just tell any girl out there
- 15:59Speaker 1: that's like me that loves to work out so so
- 16:01Speaker 1: much and you know, just enjoy her pilates, her, you know,
- 16:06Speaker 1: weight training all that, make sure to stretch. Please do,
- 16:09Speaker 1: please make sure to stretch, because you do not want
- 16:12Speaker 1: to deal with an injury like I'm dealing with right now.
- 16:15Speaker 1: So just making that a huge priority, even if it
- 16:17Speaker 1: takes five minutes out of your night or ten minutes
- 16:20Speaker 1: out of your night just to focus on those stretches,
- 16:23Speaker 1: it is so worth it, and you don't have to
- 16:25Speaker 1: worry about dealing with an injury like I'm dealing with
- 16:28Speaker 1: right now. So that's definitely something I've been making a priority.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Stretching for ten minutes after our workout or ten minutes
- 16:34Speaker 1: before bed, just really trying to stretch out anything that's sore,
- 16:39Speaker 1: and again doing all my back stretches that was given
- 16:42Speaker 1: from my physio. I feel like whenever you go to physio,
- 16:44Speaker 1: I don't know, you get all these stretches, and I
- 16:46Speaker 1: feel like we all put it behind us and don't
- 16:48Speaker 1: think twice, whereas I'm like, yeah, no, I actually need
- 16:51Speaker 1: to focus on that this year and really get my
- 16:55Speaker 1: back back to where it was. So that's like one
- 16:58Speaker 1: of my main goals this year is to really focus
- 17:00Speaker 1: on muscle recovery. Another one is the girls are working
- 17:03Speaker 1: out for their mental health, not their physical looks. So
- 17:07Speaker 1: this is something that I'm personally working on. I felt
- 17:10Speaker 1: like for so long it was always about physical, physical, physical,
- 17:13Speaker 1: How do I look? Do I have abs yet? Am
- 17:15Speaker 1: I feeling confident in myself? Blah blah blah. No, that's
- 17:18Speaker 1: not what the girls are doing. The girls are working
- 17:21Speaker 1: out because they actually a enjoy the workout that they're
- 17:24Speaker 1: doing and want to show up to it every single day.
- 17:27Speaker 1: And B they're doing it because it's helping their mental health.
- 17:31Speaker 1: It's distressing them, it's not making them feel as anxious.
- 17:34Speaker 1: They're enjoying it because they're doing it with friends, They're
- 17:36Speaker 1: getting out of the house. It's becoming a fun activity
- 17:40Speaker 1: because you're doing it with people, or you're meeting new
- 17:43Speaker 1: friends because you're going to more workout classes, whether it's
- 17:46Speaker 1: a pilates class or it's a gym membership, whatever the
- 17:49Speaker 1: case may be. The girls are working out for the
- 17:52Speaker 1: enjoyment and for their mental health. That is what the
- 17:54Speaker 1: twenty twenty six model is. In my opinion, I think
- 17:57Speaker 1: we're all doing it for that reason and that reason only.
- 18:00Speaker 1: And I always had questions asking me like, oh my god,
- 18:02Speaker 1: like how do you say so consistent with your workout routine,
- 18:05Speaker 1: Like I want to be like that, blah blah blah.
- 18:06Speaker 1: The reason why it's consistent is because I have made
- 18:10Speaker 1: it a non negotiable in my routine, and I have
- 18:14Speaker 1: found workouts that I actually enjoy doing. I love going
- 18:17Speaker 1: to pilates, I love doing workouts at home. Like if
- 18:20Speaker 1: I didn't like a workout, I don't see the point
- 18:24Speaker 1: in going, Like I stop doing it because I'm like, Okay,
- 18:26Speaker 1: this doesn't serve me anymore. I don't enjoy it, I
- 18:29Speaker 1: don't want to go, so I stop doing it and
- 18:31Speaker 1: I do something different. Right, So, I think it's important
- 18:35Speaker 1: to take the time to try new things out. So
- 18:37Speaker 1: if you're new in your health and wellness journey. Try everything.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Go to a gym, go to a pilates studio, try
- 18:44Speaker 1: a Matt Pilates class, try a hot yoga class, try
- 18:47Speaker 1: a hot Matt Pilates class. Like, do everything you can,
- 18:50Speaker 1: because that's what's going to help you realize. Okay, what
- 18:53Speaker 1: did I like? What did I not like? You figure
- 18:55Speaker 1: out a routine for yourself based on the workouts that
- 18:58Speaker 1: you actually enjoy, and you take that into your routine
- 19:01Speaker 1: for the new year ahead. So that's my best recommendation
- 19:04Speaker 1: out of that, And honestly, I think we're all working
- 19:08Speaker 1: out for our mental health. When it comes to stress anxiety,
- 19:11Speaker 1: I feel like it's the best thing to do to
- 19:14Speaker 1: ease that type of stuff, and it just I don't
- 19:17Speaker 1: know is the best way to start the day as well,
- 19:19Speaker 1: or if you're someone that doesn't work out at night
- 19:21Speaker 1: or you know, around your lunchtime break, it doesn't matter.
- 19:24Speaker 1: I think at the end of the day, as long
- 19:25Speaker 1: as you're getting movement in and you're putting that energies
- 19:28Speaker 1: towards yourself and focusing on yourself I think is crucial.
- 19:32Speaker 1: Another thing that the girls are working on this year
- 19:34Speaker 1: is practicing meditation, they are meditating before bed, they are
- 19:39Speaker 1: doing ten minutes of meditation every single day. So breath
- 19:45Speaker 1: work is a big one. I think for me personally,
- 19:47Speaker 1: I'm really trying to focus on my breath work, especially
- 19:50Speaker 1: when I'm feeling super anxious or I'm feeling super stressed.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I want to be able to take, you know, the
- 19:56Speaker 1: stuff that I've learned through meditation into my day to
- 19:59Speaker 1: day work day. If I'm having a really stressful work day,
- 20:02Speaker 1: i want to be able to know exactly how to
- 20:04Speaker 1: destress my body because I've been practicing breath work. So
- 20:09Speaker 1: if you guys have a hatch alarm clock, which I've
- 20:12Speaker 1: talked about multiple times, literally one thing that's changed my
- 20:15Speaker 1: life completely. It is the sunrise alarm clock that you
- 20:18Speaker 1: have by your nightstand. You can control, you know, obviously
- 20:22Speaker 1: the alarm for waking up in the morning. You can
- 20:25Speaker 1: control different types of light that will project as the
- 20:29Speaker 1: sunlight in your room. And then it also has meditation,
- 20:33Speaker 1: which I had no idea about. This is something that
- 20:35Speaker 1: I've recently discovered and I've been doing ten minutes of
- 20:39Speaker 1: meditation every single night before bed since i discovered this
- 20:43Speaker 1: feature on the hatch alarm clock. And it's been the
- 20:46Speaker 1: best way to kind of stay off my phone. Firstly
- 20:49Speaker 1: before bed that's been really really nice is like going
- 20:52Speaker 1: to bed with meditation versus scrolling on my phone, and
- 20:56Speaker 1: then just like having that unwinding and slowing day feeling
- 21:00Speaker 1: of listening to a meditation ten minutes before bed has
- 21:03Speaker 1: been really nice. I find it's obviously helped a lot
- 21:06Speaker 1: with my breath work and really helps me clear my
- 21:09Speaker 1: mind before I go to bed, which I find for me,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I'm an overthinker, and you know, I'm laying in bed
- 21:15Speaker 1: and I'll just think about, Okay, what do I have
- 21:16Speaker 1: to do tomorrow? You know, Oh I gotta do this
- 21:18Speaker 1: for work, Oh I gotta do this whatever. Right, Like,
- 21:20Speaker 1: I'm overthinking constantly, So I feel like when I meditate,
- 21:23Speaker 1: my mind is completely clear. I'm not thinking about that.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I'm thinking about the woman's voice that's coming from my
- 21:28Speaker 1: hatch alarm clock, and she's telling me to do certain
- 21:31Speaker 1: things like whether it's breath work, whether it's stuff to
- 21:34Speaker 1: help calm down my nervous system. Like literally just such
- 21:38Speaker 1: a game changer, and I highly recommend looking into this
- 21:41Speaker 1: if you don't have a hatch alarm clock. I'm sure,
- 21:43Speaker 1: you could do a ten minute YouTube video on your
- 21:46Speaker 1: phone and just like play it again. Best way to
- 21:49Speaker 1: kind of like unwind destress. If you really want to
- 21:53Speaker 1: give that vibe that's really calming and soothing, light a candle.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, and you can light a candle. That
- 21:58Speaker 1: would be elite. I don't want to do it just
- 22:00Speaker 1: because I'm literally doing it before I fall asleep. But
- 22:03Speaker 1: if you want to do it, like you know, after dinner,
- 22:05Speaker 1: right before you head to bed, I would light a candle,
- 22:08Speaker 1: I'd put out your yoga mat, I'd put on a
- 22:09Speaker 1: YouTube video and literally just spend ten minutes of working
- 22:13Speaker 1: on your breath work meditating. Yeah, that's like a game changer.
- 22:17Speaker 1: So I think all the girls this year are really
- 22:19Speaker 1: going to focus on their breath work and just meditating
- 22:22Speaker 1: and really destressing and focusing on again their health. Next
- 22:26Speaker 1: one is consistently using red light therapy. So obviously red
- 22:30Speaker 1: light therapy mass have been such a huge thing that
- 22:33Speaker 1: everyone's talked about. I love mine. I've had mine for
- 22:37Speaker 1: two years now. I use it two to three times
- 22:40Speaker 1: a week at least I try to do it two
- 22:42Speaker 1: three times a week. That's my goal this year is
- 22:44Speaker 1: to use it two to three times a week. I
- 22:46Speaker 1: would say before I was probably doing maybe once every
- 22:50Speaker 1: two weeks. I wasn't being as consistent with it, but
- 22:52Speaker 1: I will say it does make a huge difference for
- 22:55Speaker 1: my skin, and if you're someone that really wants to
- 22:58Speaker 1: have better skin this year, red light therapy has amazing
- 23:01Speaker 1: benefits for the skin, but also again related to the
- 23:04Speaker 1: mental health aspect, it's really really good for your mood.
- 23:08Speaker 1: And yeah, I think it's incredible and I think there's
- 23:11Speaker 1: a reason why there's so many people talking about it
- 23:13Speaker 1: because there is real good benefits out of it. I
- 23:16Speaker 1: know it's not cheap and it's quite costly, so I'm
- 23:18Speaker 1: not telling you that you have to buy it, but
- 23:20Speaker 1: if there's something that you've been wanting to save up
- 23:22Speaker 1: for that would be worth the splurge, there's a reason
- 23:25Speaker 1: why everyone's talking about it on social media. I think
- 23:27Speaker 1: there is obviously a lot of good benefits to it,
- 23:29Speaker 1: and I've had really good benefits for my skin and
- 23:33Speaker 1: for my face because that's how I use red light therapy.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I'd love to get the red light Therapy panel, which
- 23:39Speaker 1: is something that I've seen people just kind of like
- 23:41Speaker 1: sit in front of every single morning for ten minutes,
- 23:44Speaker 1: but I do not have one because again, they're quite costly.
- 23:47Speaker 1: So for me, I've just been using the face mask
- 23:50Speaker 1: when I walk on my treadmill. That's kind of been
- 23:52Speaker 1: like my new thing that I've added into my routine.
- 23:55Speaker 1: Because twenty twenty six is also the year where the
- 23:58Speaker 1: girls are going to be habit stacking. Okay, you guys
- 24:02Speaker 1: know habit stacking. We're going to talk about that next.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Habit stacking is something we've talked about so many times
- 24:07Speaker 1: here on the podcast, but I'm just including it because
- 24:09Speaker 1: it's just a little gentle reminder. But habit stacking is
- 24:12Speaker 1: basically when you do two things at once. So for example,
- 24:15Speaker 1: if you're going on a walk listen to a podcast
- 24:18Speaker 1: at the same time, if you want to walk on
- 24:20Speaker 1: your treadmill, you could walk on your treadmill and also
- 24:23Speaker 1: do your red light therapy mask. Or you could walk
- 24:26Speaker 1: on your treadmill and also read a book. Again, we're
- 24:30Speaker 1: doing two things at once. We're getting the benefit of
- 24:33Speaker 1: doing two things at once. So if you're the kind
- 24:34Speaker 1: of person that feels like they don't have enough time
- 24:36Speaker 1: to do everything that they want to do before their
- 24:37Speaker 1: workday starts, this is the perfect opportunity to start habit stacking,
- 24:42Speaker 1: doing multiple things at once, and maybe it's listening to
- 24:45Speaker 1: a podcast before you drive to work. Like, there's so
- 24:48Speaker 1: many things that you can do to get everything that
- 24:52Speaker 1: you want before you start your day, and so habit
- 24:55Speaker 1: stacking really just helps you, you know, with your time management,
- 24:58Speaker 1: being able to do multiple things at once and everything
- 25:02Speaker 1: that you want to do as well. If you're the
- 25:04Speaker 1: kind of person that likes to do stuff in your
- 25:06Speaker 1: morning before you start your work day, how it's stacking
- 25:08Speaker 1: will change your life, all right. The girls in twenty
- 25:11Speaker 1: twenty six are going to be taking supplements and vitamins,
- 25:14Speaker 1: but only supplements and vitamins that are actually needed for
- 25:17Speaker 1: yourself based off your blood work results. Okay, hear me out.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I am that kind of person where I have definitely
- 25:25Speaker 1: taken a lot of supplements just from seeing girls on
- 25:28Speaker 1: social media take certain supplements. I have been a victim
- 25:31Speaker 1: to that. But I'm paying all this money for self
- 25:34Speaker 1: supplements are not cheap, So I'm paying all this money
- 25:36Speaker 1: for supplements for things that I don't even know if
- 25:39Speaker 1: my body actually needs or not. Okay, that is just
- 25:42Speaker 1: a waste of your money. In my opinion. So looking
- 25:45Speaker 1: back at that, I have realized that I need to
- 25:48Speaker 1: get blood work done. I actually went to go see
- 25:50Speaker 1: my doctor right before the holidays and I got the
- 25:52Speaker 1: paperwork to get my blood work done. So I'm going
- 25:55Speaker 1: this week to get my blood work done. That way,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I know exactly what vitamins I need to take throughout
- 25:59Speaker 1: this So whether I'm low in iron or i am
- 26:04Speaker 1: low in omega threes, like, there's so many things that
- 26:07Speaker 1: I have no idea what I'm low in or what
- 26:09Speaker 1: I actually need. So then I can actually go purchase
- 26:14Speaker 1: all the supplements and vitamins that I need after I
- 26:15Speaker 1: get my blood work results back based on what my
- 26:18Speaker 1: body actually needs. Do I need Vitamin E? Do I
- 26:20Speaker 1: need Vitamin D? Like? Am I low in whatever? Right?
- 26:24Speaker 1: So definitely take the time to go to your doctor
- 26:27Speaker 1: get the paperwork to get your blood work done. That way,
- 26:29Speaker 1: you don't have to stop spending money on random supplements
- 26:32Speaker 1: and vitamins that honestly your body doesn't need, or you're
- 26:36Speaker 1: just wasting money on things that again you don't need.
- 26:38Speaker 1: So definitely get your blood work done that way, you
- 26:40Speaker 1: know your results. That way you can serve buying supplements
- 26:42Speaker 1: and vitamins that are actually tailored to your body, not
- 26:46Speaker 1: just someone that you see on social media. So I
- 26:48Speaker 1: think that is going to be a big thing for
- 26:50Speaker 1: the girls this year, is really focusing on their supplements
- 26:53Speaker 1: and vitamins, but buying things based off of what their
- 26:55Speaker 1: body actually needs. The next one is Korean skincare only,
- 27:00Speaker 1: meaning that I am only purchasing Korean skincare this year.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I have done a lot of research and I have
- 27:07Speaker 1: watched a lot of girls talk about the benefits to
- 27:10Speaker 1: Korean skincare, and I have three or four different Korean
- 27:14Speaker 1: skincare brands that I've used throughout this past year. Twenty
- 27:17Speaker 1: twenty five. I think was kind of like the first
- 27:19Speaker 1: year where I started to, you know, kind of change
- 27:22Speaker 1: up my skincare routine and you know, starting to get
- 27:25Speaker 1: more Korean skincare from Amazon that I've seen a few
- 27:29Speaker 1: skincare influencers talk about, and the best products that I
- 27:33Speaker 1: could say right now that I've recommended to you guys
- 27:35Speaker 1: are all Korean skincare brands like Metacube is a big one.
- 27:38Speaker 1: I talked about the Metacube exfoliating pads that I've talked
- 27:42Speaker 1: about in a previous episode that literally makes your skin
- 27:45Speaker 1: glow at night. I'm not even over exaggerating. Korean skincare brand.
- 27:49Speaker 1: The face oil that I use every single night, it's
- 27:52Speaker 1: a not a face oil, sorry, a cleansing oil. There
- 27:57Speaker 1: we go and it's again a Korean skincare brand. My
- 28:00Speaker 1: skin loves it. My skin feels hydrated, like my skin
- 28:03Speaker 1: has never felt more hydrated in the winter. Okay, that's
- 28:08Speaker 1: a huge one for me because I have really really
- 28:11Speaker 1: dry skin, and I felt like this time last year,
- 28:13Speaker 1: I remember my skin being so dry and so irritated.
- 28:18Speaker 1: I also have roseatia, so sometimes my face will get
- 28:22Speaker 1: like super super red. My skin has not had knock
- 28:25Speaker 1: on wood. I feel like I need to knock on wood.
- 28:28Speaker 1: My skin has not had to freak out this winter
- 28:31Speaker 1: season yet, and I do think it's because I've invested
- 28:34Speaker 1: in high quality Korean skincare products from Amazon and it
- 28:37Speaker 1: literally has made my skin so hydrated. So coming from
- 28:41Speaker 1: experience here, okay, Korean skincare is your girl for twenty
- 28:45Speaker 1: twenty six. Look at the brands. Go on TikTok search
- 28:48Speaker 1: Korean skincare brands that people I've been obsessed with. You're
- 28:51Speaker 1: going to see all these people come up in different
- 28:53Speaker 1: kind of brands. I will share a few on my
- 28:56Speaker 1: shop my that I've been using that I love that
- 28:59Speaker 1: I've just kind of talked but here, like the Meticube brand,
- 29:02Speaker 1: my cleansing oil, all that those ones here have changed
- 29:05Speaker 1: my life. I have ordered a few new ones for
- 29:09Speaker 1: my under eye. So I bought a new under i
- 29:11Speaker 1: cream because I ran out. One thing that I don't
- 29:14Speaker 1: know what full remove is my road what's it called
- 29:18Speaker 1: the road glazing milk. I do really love that product,
- 29:21Speaker 1: so I don't think I'm going to remove that. But
- 29:22Speaker 1: everything else moisturized or sunscreen, all that all going to
- 29:26Speaker 1: be Korean skincare. Japanese skincare products are also really good,
- 29:30Speaker 1: So the brand Tacha. I love Tatcha. They have a
- 29:34Speaker 1: lot of great skincare products that are very high quality ingredients.
- 29:38Speaker 1: So that is a Sephora brand if you want to
- 29:40Speaker 1: look into that. I personally love Tatcha and I find
- 29:43Speaker 1: my skin loves it, so I have been using a
- 29:45Speaker 1: lot of their skincare products as well. Anyways, just thought
- 29:48Speaker 1: I would bring that up because I do think Korean
- 29:50Speaker 1: skincare has been a game changer for my skin and
- 29:53Speaker 1: I have comparison from this time last year versus now.
- 29:57Speaker 1: And I do think it's because I switched up some
- 30:00Speaker 1: skincare this year, and a lot of it is Korean skincare.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Only I'm gonna keep talking about skin for a second,
- 30:06Speaker 1: because skincare, I think is another big one that people
- 30:08Speaker 1: really try to make a main priority for the new year.
- 30:12Speaker 1: And one thing that I've done a lot of research
- 30:14Speaker 1: on that I just recently purchased a package that I'm
- 30:17Speaker 1: going to do is micro needling. I was never sure
- 30:20Speaker 1: about micro needling, and then, you know, I don't know,
- 30:23Speaker 1: I just kind of was back and forth on it
- 30:25Speaker 1: for so long. After talking to the girl that I
- 30:28Speaker 1: go get my botox with, she was like, you are
- 30:31Speaker 1: going to see so many benefits with collagen doing micro needling,
- 30:36Speaker 1: and also just like firm your skin, it's going to
- 30:39Speaker 1: be smoother, there's going to be less fine lines wrinkles.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Apparently improves your skin texture and tone as well. Also
- 30:46Speaker 1: for people who have acme scarring or facial scarring, apparently
- 30:50Speaker 1: that's really good for it as well. So I've never
- 30:53Speaker 1: done micro needling. I bought the I think it was
- 30:56Speaker 1: like the three three month package where I basically go
- 31:00Speaker 1: once every four to six weeks, so I have three
- 31:05Speaker 1: sessions that I'm going to attend. And again I can't say,
- 31:09Speaker 1: oh my god, it's the best thing ever. But I'm
- 31:11Speaker 1: finally doing it, and I've heard a lot of amazing
- 31:14Speaker 1: benefits out of it. Again, I've seen a lot of
- 31:15Speaker 1: people talk about it and how much of a difference
- 31:17Speaker 1: they've noticed with their skin. And again, everyone has their
- 31:21Speaker 1: own opinion, Like I know, there's some people that you know,
- 31:24Speaker 1: don't support this kind of stuff when it comes to
- 31:25Speaker 1: like boatox filler all that. So totally understand that I'm
- 31:29Speaker 1: not telling you you guys need to do this. These
- 31:31Speaker 1: are just things that I personally think are beneficial that
- 31:34Speaker 1: I want to do myself. But I do like the
- 31:37Speaker 1: idea of trying out micro needling, and I do think
- 31:40Speaker 1: there's no harm in doing it because there's nothing being
- 31:42Speaker 1: injected into your face or your skin. It's literally just
- 31:44Speaker 1: a tool that's there to improve the collagen again, making
- 31:49Speaker 1: the skin firmer, smoother, all that. So this is again
- 31:52Speaker 1: something that's very new to me that I am trying out.
- 31:55Speaker 1: So that is something I will give my honest review
- 31:58Speaker 1: on that. I do think micro needling is going to
- 31:59Speaker 1: be big thing this year and a lot of girls
- 32:02Speaker 1: are going to be talking about the benefits of it.
- 32:04Speaker 1: The next one is kind of in relation to again
- 32:07Speaker 1: a treatment that you can do. It's taking up acupuncture,
- 32:11Speaker 1: and this is something that I've heard amazing things about,
- 32:14Speaker 1: especially when it comes to pain relief. So for me,
- 32:17Speaker 1: because I have my back injury, I've been wanting to
- 32:21Speaker 1: do acupuncture for kind of like helping any sore muscles,
- 32:25Speaker 1: but I've also been wanting to do it for my
- 32:28Speaker 1: stress and anxiety. That is something that is really really
- 32:32Speaker 1: good for calming the body and just like helps ease
- 32:36Speaker 1: any anxiety or emotional tension that like your body may have.
- 32:41Speaker 1: And I think obviously with my prepping for pregnancy journey,
- 32:44Speaker 1: this is one thing that people say is incredible to
- 32:48Speaker 1: take up because again it's really helping your body not
- 32:51Speaker 1: feel stressed, not feel tense. And I feel like for me,
- 32:55Speaker 1: I always feel stressed in tents. I don't know why,
- 32:57Speaker 1: it's just I do. And I think the acupuncture really
- 33:00Speaker 1: going to help just like release any tension that my
- 33:03Speaker 1: body's feeling and just really like destress it. And it's
- 33:05Speaker 1: something that you have to go at least once a
- 33:08Speaker 1: month doing It's something that I hear a lot of
- 33:10Speaker 1: women actually do that struggle to get pregnant. So girls
- 33:14Speaker 1: that are in their IVF journey or just like really
- 33:17Speaker 1: struggling to get pregnant, they always always recommend taking up acupuncture.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Apparently it also improves sleep too, so anyways, a lot
- 33:25Speaker 1: of benefits to it. But again, I think a lot
- 33:27Speaker 1: of people are going to be making this a priority
- 33:30Speaker 1: for twenty twenty six. Is just like treatments, appointments, things
- 33:34Speaker 1: like that that are going to just help their overall
- 33:37Speaker 1: health when it comes to their skin, their body, stress, anxiety,
- 33:41Speaker 1: you name it. People just making it more of a
- 33:44Speaker 1: priority to go to these appointments and take care of
- 33:47Speaker 1: themselves and doing everything they can just kind of make
- 33:51Speaker 1: them feel like the best version of their self going
- 33:54Speaker 1: into twenty twenty six. Another one is more mocktails going
- 33:58Speaker 1: into twenty twenty. I am definitely gonna be more of
- 34:03Speaker 1: a mocktail girly this year and again in regards to
- 34:06Speaker 1: kind of like prepping for pregnancy. But also I just
- 34:09Speaker 1: like don't love drinking too much. I've talked about that
- 34:12Speaker 1: in the past, but I think it's okay to order
- 34:14Speaker 1: a cocktail, get your spicy rg get your apprel sprits,
- 34:18Speaker 1: whatever the heck you like to drink, Get your drink,
- 34:20Speaker 1: and then, oh you don't want another drink, Okay, get
- 34:23Speaker 1: a mocktail, Like, who freaking cares? Mocktails I feel like
- 34:26Speaker 1: have been such a popular thing over time, in the
- 34:29Speaker 1: sense where I feel like more restaurants are adding more
- 34:33Speaker 1: and more drink options that are non alcoholic, which I
- 34:36Speaker 1: love because there are some people that just don't drink
- 34:40Speaker 1: and there could be a reason for it. There may
- 34:42Speaker 1: not be a reason for it obviously, like alcohol is
- 34:46Speaker 1: not the greatest for you, let's be honest. And I
- 34:48Speaker 1: think having a lot of mocktail options at a restaurant
- 34:51Speaker 1: is so hot. Like I think it's such a cool thing.
- 34:55Speaker 1: And they make the drink still all pretty. It feels
- 34:58Speaker 1: like a cocktail again, like it's more so just like
- 35:01Speaker 1: the presentation of a drink. In my opinion, it's not
- 35:03Speaker 1: really like the feeling like I wouldn't say like alcohol,
- 35:07Speaker 1: Oh my god, the alcohol makes me feel good, Like
- 35:09Speaker 1: I don't how to explain it, but like I personally
- 35:12Speaker 1: feel like I don't need alcohol to have a good time,
- 35:14Speaker 1: Like I can be sober the entire night and have
- 35:18Speaker 1: the best time and not feel like I have FOMO
- 35:21Speaker 1: from drinking alcohol with my friends, like if that makes sense,
- 35:24Speaker 1: Like I feel like I've realized that, like there's gonna
- 35:27Speaker 1: be alcohol for some people that like makes them have
- 35:29Speaker 1: a good time and eases their social anxiety or whatever
- 35:33Speaker 1: it is, right, And I'm like, you know what you do,
- 35:34Speaker 1: you that's great. I'm happy that you're drinking and that
- 35:38Speaker 1: that helps you out right, But for me personally, I'm
- 35:41Speaker 1: happy for myself because I can still have a fun
- 35:44Speaker 1: time and not like have to have a cocktail or
- 35:48Speaker 1: have to have a shot of alcohol, you know what
- 35:50Speaker 1: I mean. Like I can fully just have a mocktail,
- 35:53Speaker 1: be fully present and enjoy my time with my friends
- 35:55Speaker 1: and still feel productive the next day, not having to
- 35:58Speaker 1: stress about having a hangover. So I don't know. That's
- 36:01Speaker 1: just a big thing that I think is gonna be
- 36:03Speaker 1: for twenty twenty six is you're gonna notice more girls
- 36:07Speaker 1: drinking less or not drinking any alcohol at all, And
- 36:11Speaker 1: it's gonna become a more popular thing in my opinion,
- 36:14Speaker 1: and people are gonna feel more confident drinking a mocktail
- 36:17Speaker 1: and not feel like overly anxious about people like thinking
- 36:21Speaker 1: different of them, Like you know, someone saying something like,
- 36:23Speaker 1: oh you're not drinking. It's like no one's in a
- 36:25Speaker 1: new anymore. Everyone's gonna just be like you do you like.
- 36:28Speaker 1: I think that's gonna be a big thing, is that
- 36:29Speaker 1: girls are just gonna support girls regardless if they're drinking
- 36:32Speaker 1: or not, and not care if you're a mocktail drinker
- 36:37Speaker 1: or if you're a cocktail drinker. I think twenty twenty
- 36:39Speaker 1: six is the year where people are choosing to do
- 36:42Speaker 1: what's best for themselves, and I think everyone's gonna support
- 36:44Speaker 1: that regardless. So that is something that I think is
- 36:48Speaker 1: going to be a big, big thing for twenty twenty six. Okay,
- 36:50Speaker 1: we have two more. One is more home cooked meals,
- 36:55Speaker 1: less takeout. I think that's obviously a non negotiable going
- 36:58Speaker 1: into the new year. Is eighty percent at home cooked meals,
- 37:02Speaker 1: twenty percent takeout. So try and cook every Monday to Friday,
- 37:06Speaker 1: and then on the Saturday or the Sunday, treat yourself
- 37:09Speaker 1: to a little takeout with your boyfriend or husband or
- 37:12Speaker 1: partner or with your friends. Like obviously we got to
- 37:15Speaker 1: live life still, but I think as long as you
- 37:17Speaker 1: follow the eighty twenty rule of really just kind of
- 37:19Speaker 1: like balancing out life. And that's also when it comes
- 37:22Speaker 1: to drinking alcohol too, So if you are someone that
- 37:25Speaker 1: likes to drink alcohol, get that eighty twenty percent rule
- 37:28Speaker 1: for the same thing. Eighty percent of the time you're
- 37:30Speaker 1: not drinking twenty percent of the time you're occasionally treating
- 37:34Speaker 1: yourself to a glass of wine. Another one is no
- 37:37Speaker 1: late bedtimes. Everyone's going to bed early. Okay, we're going
- 37:41Speaker 1: to bed early because guess what, the girls want to
- 37:44Speaker 1: wake up early, so they have a structured morning routine
- 37:47Speaker 1: that they actually want to do every single morning. So
- 37:51Speaker 1: late bedtimes are out, early bedtimes are in. Everyone's trying
- 37:55Speaker 1: to go on their phone less, not scroll. We're doing
- 37:59Speaker 1: meditation before for bed. We're really just trying to relax
- 38:02Speaker 1: our minds and have an early bedtime so we can
- 38:05Speaker 1: wake up and be productive and have an early morning routine.
- 38:09Speaker 1: So that's a big one that I think is a
- 38:11Speaker 1: non negotiable for the healthy girls that want to establish
- 38:14Speaker 1: a routine for twenty twenty six. Okay, the last one
- 38:18Speaker 1: is scrolling less. I think everybody could get off their
- 38:21Speaker 1: phones for a little bit and not doing scroll so much.
- 38:25Speaker 1: I am definitely a victim to that, And something that
- 38:27Speaker 1: I really want to work on this year is you know,
- 38:30Speaker 1: putting my phone aside at a certain time and not
- 38:33Speaker 1: feeling the urge to look at it. So that's obviously
- 38:35Speaker 1: dedicating more time to reading, more time to just like
- 38:38Speaker 1: spend time with my husband, like not having my phone
- 38:41Speaker 1: during dinner, like putting it away. I just feel like
- 38:44Speaker 1: sometimes the content that we consume is actually affecting our
- 38:49Speaker 1: anxiety and our stress, and I think it's obviously not
- 38:53Speaker 1: something that we want to consume. So I think, you know,
- 38:57Speaker 1: just really being able to put your phone aside and
- 39:01Speaker 1: focus on that present moment of doing whatever you're doing
- 39:04Speaker 1: with your person is so crucial. And obviously, like reading
- 39:09Speaker 1: instead of scrolling on your phone before you head to bed,
- 39:12Speaker 1: like something as easy as that, it's so much better
- 39:14Speaker 1: to just like read a book that you're actually enjoying,
- 39:17Speaker 1: versus again randomly scrolling on TikTok or Instagram for no
- 39:21Speaker 1: reason at all. So scrolling less is definitely a big
- 39:24Speaker 1: one for me in twenty twenty six, and I think
- 39:26Speaker 1: that's going to be a big one for a lot
- 39:28Speaker 1: of people this year. So those are all the healthy
- 39:31Speaker 1: Girl habits that I think are going to be a
- 39:34Speaker 1: non negotiable this year for twenty twenty six. Of course,
- 39:36Speaker 1: I probably could have named a lot more, but I
- 39:39Speaker 1: do talk a lot about some habits in the episode
- 39:42Speaker 1: that I talked about, which was the things that I'm
- 39:44Speaker 1: bringing into twenty twenty six. So these ones are kind
- 39:47Speaker 1: of different in things that I'm kind of working on
- 39:49Speaker 1: this year that I want to do or things that
- 39:52Speaker 1: I'm going to continue doing, whereas the other one was
- 39:54Speaker 1: more about just like things that I did last year
- 39:57Speaker 1: that I'm taking into this year. So if you want
- 39:59Speaker 1: to another episode that's kind of similar to this, I
- 40:02Speaker 1: highly recommend listening to that one as well. But these
- 40:05Speaker 1: ones are things that I'm definitely going to take into
- 40:07Speaker 1: this year and definitely make a non negotiable for myself,
- 40:10Speaker 1: and figured I would share it with you guys for
- 40:12Speaker 1: anyone that's starting their health and wellness journey that really
- 40:15Speaker 1: wants to just kind of like lock in for twenty
- 40:18Speaker 1: twenty six. These are great things to really consider for
- 40:22Speaker 1: yourself going into twenty twenty six, because this is the
- 40:25Speaker 1: year where we're all really just going to focus on
- 40:27Speaker 1: ourself and just again lock in for the health and
- 40:31Speaker 1: wellness girlies. So this is the perfect kind of list
- 40:35Speaker 1: for anyone that's looking to have some new habits to
- 40:39Speaker 1: take into their daily routine. So thank you guys so
- 40:41Speaker 1: much for listening to this episode. If you're new, definitely
