- 0:00SPEAKER_00: I have been in the trenches working with some of the worst trauma, the worst situations.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: I've seen how it affects people.
- 0:09SPEAKER_00: So it's not just like theory.
- 0:11SPEAKER_00: There's a reason why I didn't just start a business with breath work right out of college.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Like for me to have that experience was everything.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: I think it's why a lot of people trust me.
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not just pulling the shit out of my ass.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of people that will be like, oh, well, I'm working at this job, but I really need to start my own business.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: Have reverence for that job.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: That job is going to be a stepping stone for you to do what it is that you're meant to do.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Like there's a reason why you're at that job.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Reclaiming Consciousness.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: My name is Elise Bassine, spiritual mentor, breathwork practitioner, and owner and CEO of Elise Breeds.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: For many years, our consciousness has been hijacked by societal and cultural programming, religion, the media, and familial and ancestral trauma.
- 1:06SPEAKER_00: Right now, during this epic time in history, people are waking up, realizing who they really are, and reclaiming the pieces of their consciousness that they unknowingly gave away.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: This podcast is an exploration of how so many spectacular humans are leading the way in exiting the matrix and reclaiming who they really are and what they're capable of.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: In this show, you'll meet exceptional people who are paving the way in raising consciousness and creating a new way of living on this earth.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: Get ready to go deep.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Now let's dive in.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Hi everyone, welcome back to the show.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: This week, I thought it would be really fun for me to share some personal stories with you around how I have moved through a lot of the challenges that I had earlier on in my life, and then also with starting and growing my business and how a lot of the concepts around trauma that I have created and the tools that I've created and the programs that I created kind of all stemmed from the work that I've done and the things that I've walked through, along with my experience, obviously, as a school counselor and breath work training and all of that.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: But I wanted to share some personal stories to help illustrate how those things work.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: And I thought it would be fun because I was thinking about how every time I go on someone else's podcast, I always share my personal story.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: And I don't know that I've ever really shared that here.
- 2:45SPEAKER_00: Maybe I did in like one of the very beginning episodes, but I feel like it's been so long.
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: It's actually been three years that I've had this podcast, which is insane to me.
- 2:57SPEAKER_00: So I thought that would be a fun thing to do today.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: And then also just some quick reminders before I go into that.
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Don't forget to submit your questions for the QA podcast episode.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I'm so excited about this.
- 3:14SPEAKER_00: I need all questions to be submitted by the beginning of next week.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: So like October 22nd.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: So the rules are basically just um send your question to info at elisebreeze.com and you can ask me anything.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: Like literally, you can like ask me about your situation, your life.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: I won't use your name or anything either.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: So it'll be totally anonymous.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: I will give you my honest feedback, answer, whatever it is.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: And also please make sure you include a screenshot of your review of the show on Apple.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: If you already reviewed the show, just send me a screenshot of your review.
- 3:56SPEAKER_00: And if you didn't, also send me a screenshot of your new review.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: And then everybody is going to be put into the contest to win a trauma clearing session with me, which you guys, those calls where I pinpoint your trauma and I like to still it down to one thing is so incredibly useful to you because if you're able to understand how this one thing is showing up across all areas of your life, your growth is going to skyrocket because you're going to be able to move through anything because you're no longer going to be concerning yourself with circumstances or people, and you're going to go directly to addressing what's actually happening, which is your inner child and their wounding that needs to be reconciled.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: And then when you reconcile it, things just happen so quickly and everything just gets way better.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: So those sessions are amazing.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: So you definitely want to get one of those.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: And then if you have not previously reviewed the show, then you will still receive the$250 credit that you can apply to anything in my world.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: And a great thing to apply that to would be real results, which is coming up.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: The first call is next week, next Thursday, the 24th.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: And real results, you learn my process to take all of the knowledge and awareness from all of the personal growth work you've done and quickly turn it into tangible results in your reality.
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: And I teach you some very powerful processes to make the intangible tangible and to start to see real results, the ones that you desire in your life quickly.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: And I give you very easy to apply processes and tools that you can incorporate into your practice to start to see real results quickly.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: And the ladies in the mothership have already been telling me how powerful it is for them and how it's changing everything.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: So real results is only 444.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: So you can use your$250 discount, and then it's like super easy.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: And then you get access to the content right away.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: So you can start diving into that right away.
- 6:13SPEAKER_00: And then you get two QA calls plus two weeks of coaching in Telegram.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: So it's like a lot of access, a lot of support, and a lot of support with your individual circumstances and how to apply it to your individual situation.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: So that would be a great thing to do.
- 6:32SPEAKER_00: That's pretty much everything I wanted to announce.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: So don't forget to submit your questions.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: I can't wait to answer them.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: The way that I kind of see my trajectory of my life, especially when it comes to the whole spiritual awakening and personal growth journey, I always say that like what I would call my first spiritual awakening was when I was 19.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna take you back to 2001.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: I am in my first year of college.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: It's like the second semester.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: So I graduated high school in 2000.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: So I started college in 2000.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: And then 2001 was like the end of, you know, the second half of my freshman year.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: And I was really struggling.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: So I don't know that I fully talked about it in detail on the show, but I definitely struggled with an eating disorder, which is something that I feel like I don't know that it ever fully goes away.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, I feel like now at this point in my life, I am better than ever about it.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: And I am able to eat pretty intuitively.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: I actually do everything intuitively.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: I don't really listen to anybody other than myself.
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: But it's been something that I think has impacted me for my whole life.
- 7:57SPEAKER_00: And that really started when I was in high school.
- 8:00SPEAKER_00: So it just got triggered.
- 8:02SPEAKER_00: My dad made a comment about my weight when I was in high school.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: I think it was actually like the summer before my senior year.
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: And it just like threw me into this whole thing.
- 8:17SPEAKER_00: And like I stopped eating basically.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: And like I have always been the type of person that if I want to do something, I'll just fucking do it.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: I'm super disciplined and I'm like a fucking crazy glutton for punishment.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: I do also think that's why I have found success in business.
- 8:39SPEAKER_00: But like if I decide I want to do something, nothing is gonna stop me.
- 8:43SPEAKER_00: And that's how I was with having an eating disorder.
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: Like I know that sounds bad.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: I'm like not trying to like make light of that.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: And I wasn't overweight, by the way.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: I was probably exactly how I am now, but like high school version, you know, now I'm more like curvy and whatever, but I wasn't overweight by any means at all.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: Like I always played sports, I was on the varsity tennis team all four years of high school.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: And then I think like I had maybe stopped playing sports and I wasn't like exercising as much or something like that.
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: And I probably put on, I don't know, maybe like 10 pounds or something.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: So it wasn't like even that big of a deal.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: But I lost a lot of weight.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: And then I feel like that gave me a sense of like control and power.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: And then I kind of became like obsessed with it, which I think is like something that happens to a lot of women.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: And obviously, there's also just like the impact of the media and like what we're told we're supposed to look like, which is completely unrealistic for most people.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: And it really creates this reality where everybody is just constantly feeling like they need to change themselves, especially like physically.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: And you know, that happened for me too.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: And I also feel like to just put it in these terms too, I feel like I was like the target demographic for an eating disorder, like middle to upper middle class, white, suburban, like whatever.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Like I just feel like that's the target market for that, even though it affects everybody.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying it doesn't.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying, like I kind of fell into that way of thinking.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: So by the time I was in that second half of my freshman year of college, I was really struggling.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: And I think I had gotten to the point where I was kind of like, okay, I need to figure out why this is happening, you know, because by that point, I was literally like driving myself insane.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: And I think like you got to the point too where you like overthink everything so much that you kind of drive yourself into a hole where there ends up being no good answer because you literally think everything is bad around eating or exercise or whatever it is, and you kind of talk yourself into this hole.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: So I gotten to the point where I was like, oh my gosh, I'm so miserable and I need to like do something about this.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: I started just kind of like looking for answers.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: And then right around that time, I had a friend who is nine years older than me that I had met at the restaurant that I worked at on campus.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: We both worked at this restaurant, and she invited me to go to a yoga class.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: And after that, everything just started to change because like something happened for me when I went to that yoga class.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: And I also feel like there was that was like during this time where yoga was just everything.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: And I get now it's still like powerful for people, but I feel like at that time too, it was kind of like blowing up and everybody was super into it.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: There was this yoga studio that it was just such a special place.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: It was like such a special environment, and I had never felt the way I felt when I went there.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: And I remember I took the class and I knew how to do everything.
- 12:11SPEAKER_00: And I had done a little bit of yoga before, but it wasn't enough to like know everything, but something happened in that first class where like I just knew the poses.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: It was like my body knew.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: And I don't know how I knew, but it was like, oh, like going into Warrior One, my body knew what it was supposed to be doing, like it knew which way it was supposed to be stretching and like the energetics of that pose.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: And I had that experience with like all of it.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: And I was like, this is so interesting.
- 12:41SPEAKER_00: It feels like I've done this before, but I really hadn't.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: Then I realized, you know, it was probably like a past life thing or whatever it was that I just knew it.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: That was such a powerful experience.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: And then from there, I started working at the yoga studio.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: It was literally the best thing ever because it totally changed my life in so many ways.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: And it was cool because it was like a three-story like building, and the first floor was a store.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: And at the store, they had yoga clothes and books, and also that was like before Lululemon, too.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: So there was like, you know, I forget like the brands that they used to have of like yoga clothes, but they were like all these brands that people used to have where like Prana or something.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: I'm sure some of you remember those brands.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: But anyway, there was a store there, and they also had a ton of books at the store about every single type of healing and every single type of like eating and like Ayurveda and just everything.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: So when I would work, I would just like read all of the books, and they had all these CDs of like chanting and like curatons, and I just got super into all of it.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: I finally felt like I had found answers, and also I finally felt like I had found a place that I felt connected to or I felt like I belonged, and not to say I didn't feel like I belonged anywhere, but it was just like a deeper connection, and I found this community that was really amazing, and it helped me start to heal in a lot of ways.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: And then that's where I discovered breath work because they had a breathwork class there one night and I went to it, and that's when I really was like, okay, this is what I need to be doing.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: And I just really dove in to doing all the trainings at the Philadelphia Rebirthing Center.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: And I did four years of breath worker training programs.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: I did a teacher training, I did a ton of different workshops and followed different teachers that I loved, like all over the country.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: And I really started to heal and understand why I was struggling and also find liberation from it.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: Like I really had a transformation.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: That was when I also started teaching breath work and really starting to be able to see like what I was capable of and also just like see myself as a healer.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: And then I think what it really did for me too is because I did all that training and immersed myself in personal growth at such a young age.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: It was basically between the ages of 19 and 22 that I did all of this.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: And it really gave me this, I don't know how to describe it.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: I want to use the word leverage, but I feel like that's a weird word to use.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: But it did.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: I felt like it gave me this leverage over like other people my age because I just had this different perspective than most people.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: And like, not to say that I thought I was like better than anyone, but there was this way where I feel like I didn't struggle with certain things as much as other people because I had this different perspective.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: And I also had these tools that I could draw on at any point that a lot of people didn't.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: And like I also had done so much work and I had so much awareness that I was just able to see the world differently, and I was able to have a different perspective and like see the bigger picture with certain things.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: And like that doesn't mean I didn't have challenges either.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Like I went through a terrible breakup when I lived in Tucson, which that could be another episode.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: It was only terrible because I was heartbroken.
- 16:43SPEAKER_00: It wasn't terrible, like in the sense that he was like mean to me or anything.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: It was just because I loved him so much and he broke up with me.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: But anyway, just to say, like I did go through challenging times, you know, and I struggled with certain things, but I felt like I still had this like higher perspective on things all the time because of all this work that I had done.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: I feel like there was also still this way where I had to still walk through life.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: And even though I had, you know, started teaching breath work groups all around the city.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: And even though I had private clients, I still did not feel capable of really starting my own business.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: That was not something that I felt like I had the wherewithal to do.
- 17:33SPEAKER_00: After I moved to Tucson and then I moved back, I ended up going back to school and getting my master's degree in counseling psychology.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: So I became a school counselor because I had my teaching degree, but I did not want to be a teacher.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: I actually taught for half of a year.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: When I moved back from Tucson in 2009, I was like, okay, let me like try to use my teaching degree.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: And I got a teaching job.
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: And I remember I started in February of 2009 because I moved back to Philly in January of 09.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: And I started working at this like horrible school in North Philly, like really bad.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: A lot of you just may never know how bad.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: And if anyone's ever taught in the inner city, like you know what I'm talking about.
- 18:20SPEAKER_00: And if you haven't, you just haven't.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: It is a whole other beast of like experience.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Like, I don't even know what to say about it.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: It is terrifying.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: And it is something that, like, when you walk through that, you become different, like you become stronger.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: So, anyway, I worked at this school because my degree is in in secondary education and social studies.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: So I was a history major.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: I was always very interested in history, you know, and soon I found out that most of history is like not true.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: And I, you know, eventually got into my own alternative methods of studying what's actually going on on the planet.
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: But that's a whole another topic as well.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: But I was super interested in that.
- 19:06SPEAKER_00: I always wanted to understand what's really going on here, what happened.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: So that was why I chose to do that.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: I worked as a social studies teacher for seventh grade from February until the end of the year.
- 19:19SPEAKER_00: It was horrible.
- 19:20SPEAKER_00: I quit right after that.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: And I was like, there's no way that I could be a teacher.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: But I remember watching the school counselor at the school that I worked at, and I was like, but I know I could do that job.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: I was like, that looks like a cakewalk.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: So I went back to school and I got my master's in counseling psychology.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: I became a school counselor, and then I got a job at a charter school in Philly.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: Again, it was nowhere near as bad as that first school I worked at, but it wasn't amazing.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: And the years that I was at that school, it was a bilingual charter school, Spanish and English charter school that served Spanish-speaking communities, mostly first and second generation families from Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: So most of the families I worked with were either first or second generation.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: A lot of the parents either only spoke Spanish or they spoke Spanish and English.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: And that was most of the population.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: However, it was also like in the inner city.
- 20:29SPEAKER_00: So, you know, we're dealing with a lot of poverty, lack of resources, and a lot of severe trauma.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: So, like, enter my training ground.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: I learned so much from being a school counselor, especially at that school, and also the other school that I worked at, but I was at this school for the bulk of my time as a school counselor.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: I think it was about eight years that I was there.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: And I saw it all.
- 20:54SPEAKER_00: That's why I always say to my clients, there is nothing that you could tell me, literally nothing, that would surprise me or shock me or make me feel uncomfortable.
- 21:05SPEAKER_00: Like I have literally seen and heard it all.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: And the most horrific things that you can think of.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: I have like supported people through, walked people through, heard, seen.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: I'm so glad that I had that experience because I would not have been able to do the work that I do.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: I would not have been able to create the programs that I've created, the body of work that I've created, and I would have not been able to create the powerful tangible tools that I've created if I had not had that experience.
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Because I have seen firsthand all of the different ways that trauma can affect children, that trauma affects the developing brain, that trauma affects behavior and how behaviors are messages from children.
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: And I think it was a crucial piece in me becoming an expert in child.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Relational trauma.
- 22:01SPEAKER_00: I always say to people, because I think there's a lot of people that will be like, oh, well, I'm working at this job, but I really just need to start my own business.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: And I'll always say to people, like, have reverence for that job because that job is going to be a stepping stone for you to do what it is that you're meant to do.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: Like, there's a reason why you're at that job.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: There's a reason why I didn't just start a business with breathwork right out of college.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Like for me to have that experience was everything.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: And also, I think it's why a lot of people trust me.
- 22:40SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not just pulling this shit out of my ass.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: I have been in the trenches working with some of the worst trauma, the worst situations.
- 22:51SPEAKER_00: And I've seen like how it affects people.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: So it's not just like theory.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: I feel like this trajectory of like the first kind of like spiritual awakening, I would say, was at that 19 to 22 age when I really started doing all of that work.
- 23:09SPEAKER_00: And then it was kind of like, okay, I have to like live life kind of a thing.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: And also like both of my parents were teachers.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: So it made sense for me to be a school counselor.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: It felt familiar to me.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Then I like lived life, right?
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: And then I think like the whole time that I was a school counselor, I knew that I was going to do more than that.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: Like I knew that I was meant for more.
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: Even though I loved my job and like I gradually became really freaking good at it.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: I was so good and I did things my own way.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: And people didn't like me because of it, because I didn't listen to the rules and I didn't do what I was supposed to do.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: I never took notes, by the way.
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: I always will laugh about this because I don't like taking notes and I remember everything in my head.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: And I also like have access to the Akashic record.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: So like I can tune in to somebody and just like know everything.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Like even with clients now, I'll remember everything that's happened with a client over the last two or three years.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: We've been working together that long.
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: I don't need to write anything down.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: And I remember if they would be like something would happen with a kid, say they are something serious incident happened and they have to collect all the data.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: And they would be like, Elise, we need your notes, you know, about this kid.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: I'd be like, okay, um, give me a half hour.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: And I literally would just sit there and like write all the notes right then and give them.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: Cause I just like didn't do anything the way that they wanted you to do it.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: But I was also really good at it.
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: And I had amazing relationships with all of the kids and all of the families.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: And the kids would open up to me more than anybody else.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: I had like these deep connections with all of them.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna cry because I do miss that a lot.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so I think during that whole time I knew that this wasn't the end for me.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: Even though it was like a really good thing, I knew that there was something more.
- 25:15SPEAKER_00: And then the catalyst for that was like, so I ended up leaving that job at the Spanish Bilinguals Charter School because this crazy thing happened, which I've talked about before, but it was literally like the universe hitting me over the head with a frying pan, telling me I had to move on.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: A group of teachers ganged up on me because they were angry that I didn't follow the rules.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: And they made a whole list of like grievances they had about me and gave it to the principal.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: And nothing really happened.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: The principal he loved me and he was like, whatever, it's fine.
- 25:52SPEAKER_00: But then I had to go back and work at the school the next year.
- 25:56SPEAKER_00: And I just never felt the same about it.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: Like I felt uncomfortable.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: I felt weird.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: I felt like everybody was out to get me.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: It was the weirdest feeling.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: It was so annoying.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: But I do think it was a lot of it was just because they didn't understand me and they didn't like that I pushed the envelope.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: They didn't like that I didn't follow the rules and I didn't get in trouble for it because ultimately I did a great job, but I just didn't do it the way people wanted me to do it.
- 26:24SPEAKER_00: So anyway, I ended up leaving that school and I manifested another school counseling job that was literally the perfect job for me on paper.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: It was a raise, plus, it was a really amazing school working for an amazing principal who loved me.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: Like, so I created my own meditation curriculum for the middle school.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: He bought me yoga mats for every kid.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: And my whole methodology for like teaching meditation to middle school students is having them lay down with their eyes covered with a weighted blanket to like calm their nervous system and help them relax.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: So he bought me 40 weighted blankets, and I had the kids lay down on yoga mats with eye pillows, and I would talk them through this like meditation to relax their nervous system.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: And then we even started collecting data of like how it's working.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: But then of course, that's when COVID happened.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: So I got sent home.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: And that was when I really went full force in my business, you know.
- 27:29SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so it was really when I started that job because I thought, okay, this is the best.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: Like this is what I want.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: This is the kind of job that I need.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: And then when I got there, I immediately felt like, okay, this is not it.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: And I think also like I really got to the point of understanding that like I was never going to make any money as a school counselor.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm getting a raise.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: But then when I saw my paycheck, I was like, oh, cool,$150 more dollars.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: So that was another thing where I was like, if I continue being a school counselor, like I'm always never gonna have the money that I want to have.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: So anyway, that's when I realized that it was time to start my business.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: And so I started it around the end of 2019, early 2020.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: And that's what I was would kind of classify as like my second spiritual awakening because I really started to dive deep into my own work and my own process.
- 28:27SPEAKER_00: And then also I feel like the process of starting a business was a spiritual awakening in itself because I had to walk through all of this trauma and I had to disentangle myself from so much.
- 28:43SPEAKER_00: And I don't know that I've ever worked with anyone who doesn't come up against this, is the fear of being seen and the fear of like what other people are gonna think when you put yourself out there.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: And I've talked about this so many times.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: I talk about it extensively in past lives and money.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: That was a huge thing for me, and that was a huge obstacle that I had to overcome.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: And it was very uncomfortable, it was very hard, and also just feeling like I was gonna fail.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: I was pretty sure that I was gonna fail.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: I think for the first year, year and a half, I was pretty sure I was gonna fail.
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: And I had to really walk through that.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: And for me, I felt like that pattern or that belief was really more ancestral on my father's lineage.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: And there's a lot of reasons why I believe that.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: But that was a huge thing that I had to walk through.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: And then just really not believing that my work was good enough.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: I think when you're really good at something, you think it's obvious.
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: All of the stuff that I talk about with trauma, I'm always like, is this like obvious?
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: Like, am I just saying things that like everyone knows because I always know it?
- 29:59SPEAKER_00: But then it's so profound for people, or people will be like, oh my gosh, this is so simple yet so profound.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: That's what I love about my work.
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: It's incredibly simple yet incredibly profound.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: As I started my business, I think that, oh my God, I don't even know where to start.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: I feel like I might need to do a whole other episode on just the trauma that I had to walk through during the different phases of my business.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: But again, I think a lot of it was around my confidence.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: And that really had a lot to do with my relationship with my mother, especially.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: And then also my relationship with money, which was also not very good.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: And I was like replaying a lot of my birth story, especially in my relationship with money and my relationship to just like lack and scarcity and fear.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: I really think I spent the first two years of my business really operating from fear.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: I'm not proud of that or anything.
- 30:56SPEAKER_00: And I think like in the moment I didn't know I was doing it, but now that I look back, I definitely can see that, you know, and a lot of the moves that I made were oh my gosh, I need to make sure that this doesn't all go away or I don't lose this, or I need to make sure that people like me or whatever it is.
- 31:18SPEAKER_00: And now I've built so much and I'm so much more confident in my work.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: And I also have like just seen the results that people get over and over again.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: It's really shifted.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: But I think these are like these major things that so many people have to walk through.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: And I think that it's really the thing that can make the business feel untenable at times.
- 31:37SPEAKER_00: Like it can make it feel like, can I really do this?
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: And should I really do this?
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: And is this really gonna work?
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: And everyone wants that guarantee that if I go all in on this, is it really gonna work?
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: And the only person who can decide that is you, you know, and you have to be willing to continue to walk through what feel like the biggest roadblocks that you can never get through, which is like for me, it was a lot around fear of it not working out, fear of what people were gonna think of me, or people rejecting me, or people not liking me, or people criticizing me.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: That was a huge one, or people being mad at me, and then fear of failure, operating from lack and scarcity, and all of the tools that I've developed are answers to these problems that I had.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: You know, like the metamorphosis, past lives and money, and real results are literally all answers to the problem/slash trauma that I had to walk through in growing this business.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: And I think because obviously my zone of genius is this stuff and being able to create these tools, I was able to move through that stuff fairly quickly because of that.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: And that's why I feel so passionately about helping all of you do the same thing.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: Because if you dedicate yourself to applying a lot of these tools and concepts, you can move quickly too.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: You know, I really believe that.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: And I really believe that if you're willing and dedicated to making a lot of these tools and processes in the metamorphosis, in past lives and money, in real results and all the other subsequent things, if you really dedicate yourself to making them your own and integrating them into your life, you will experience the same kind of growth and momentum, even if you don't have a business, right?
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: It doesn't mean you have to have a business.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: Cause I have clients who don't have businesses as well, and they have grown leaps and bounds in so many ways.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: So it doesn't mean that you have to, but I think the business will call you forward in a much different way.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: Like if I reflect on, and obviously, my first what I call my first spiritual awakening, I was younger.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: It was a different time on the planet, it was a different time in life.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: So I felt like the whole like yoga and breath work thing was like a huge opening for me.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: And it helps me to understand myself in so many ways.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: But I felt like there was this path I could have taken of starting a business at that time, and I just wasn't ready.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: But at the same time, I look back and I'm like, if I wasn't a school counselor, I wouldn't be who I am today.
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: You know, I wouldn't have created this body of work that is so robust and profound and tangible if I had not had that experience.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: So like I'm so grateful for that.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: That obviously needed to happen.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: I say all that to say, you know, I think during that time in my life, a lot of the trauma that I moved through was more just around being able to feel comfortable with myself, being able to feel happier in my life, being able to feel more confident in who I am and my decisions.
- 34:58SPEAKER_00: I mean, I pretty much let go of all anxiety I had and I pretty much recovered from my eating disorder.
- 35:06SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's something that has like come up at different points in my life, but how it was then versus how it was, you know, after I started doing breath work and healing is night and day because it didn't take over my life anymore.
- 35:19SPEAKER_00: Whereas before I discovered breath work, it ruled my life.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: That is a huge piece of it too.
- 35:25SPEAKER_00: But then I feel like with the business, it just called forward for me to examine and face different levels of trauma in many different ways.
- 35:34SPEAKER_00: And I just want to say, like, I truly believe that the only thing that we ever really experience is our wounded and our child coming up to say, this is what I need right now.
- 35:46SPEAKER_00: This is what I need you to know, and this is what I need to be healed or reconciled.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: And if you can learn to address that and listen to that and navigate that, you're gonna grow so much faster.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: And I've seen it with myself and I've seen it with every single person I work with.
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: And you guys have already heard me go on and on about my inner child healing process and the flow chart that I made.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: And if you want to get the flow chart, you can purchase the mini morphosis now, and then you'll be included in the next live QA.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: And it's only$55.
- 36:19SPEAKER_00: So I'll link that below so you can purchase that.
- 36:22SPEAKER_00: And we'll also link real results below.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: So I'll probably do another episode about just like all of the intricacies of the trauma around the business that I healed, but I just wanted to share like the overall story here because I realized I never really shared it.
