- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the Coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:27Hey everybody, good morning. So today we're talking about
- 0:30unresolved emotions between each other situations, whatever you
- 0:36want to be, it's an unresolved spot in your life.
- 0:39And oftentimes these unresolved issues just kind of niggle away
- 0:44at us. They just poke, poke, poke,
- 0:46poke, poke and give us these little feelings, these little
- 0:49twinges of knowing they are unresolved.
- 0:53And they show up in our head. And sometimes they'll show up
- 0:56often. Sometimes they show up only when
- 0:58there's triggers, something. You'll hear a song, you'll see
- 1:00something, but you know, it's been a, it's been a hot moment
- 1:04and the issue is still unresolved.
- 1:07And you feel that you should have had it resolved, like
- 1:10something should have done this. And you start to should all over
- 1:13yourself, which is the worst thing that you could do.
- 1:15No shooting on yourself at all. Because if you haven't cleared
- 1:19it up, if the situation hasn't resolved itself somehow, there
- 1:22is a reason. So some things to consider in
- 1:25this, and this is not about having resolution today in this
- 1:29podcast. What it's about is having
- 1:31awareness in this podcast for it.
- 1:33So often times we shut ourselves off from the past because we
- 1:38don't have an answer. So we're just like, I'm going to
- 1:39turn my head, I'm going to go the other direction and I'm not
- 1:41going to pay attention to it. But then we get the trigger and
- 1:44something happens and it could be a day later, a week later, a
- 1:47month later, a year later, 10 years later, it doesn't matter.
- 1:50But when it shows up, we have to make sure that we are asking new
- 1:54questions or pertinent questions or different questions than we
- 1:59did the first time that we could not resolve it.
- 2:03So think of it this way, as emotions ebb and flow and they
- 2:07go back and forth. Oftentimes we will look back at
- 2:11a situation and we still have the eyes of the person that we
- 2:16were then, except we're not that person now.
- 2:19We're a completely different person now.
- 2:21So if we keep asking the same question that we asked, then it
- 2:26pulls us back to that identity of ourselves, which is hard.
- 2:30It's really hard because you don't want to go back because
- 2:33you're not that person. And, and by the end of this
- 2:36podcast, I will not be the same person I was when I started it.
- 2:39There's a constant evolution of us that's moving forward.
- 2:43And that phrase you're either growing or dying is kind of
- 2:45true. It's, I mean, it's definitely
- 2:48true. You're, you're, when you're
- 2:49stagnating, you're starting that dying process.
- 2:52So there is, there is a part of me that constantly says, and,
- 2:57and maybe this is just because I am very wired to be a mass
- 3:01inquisitor. My curiosity is off the chart
- 3:04and because of that I have a lot of different questions that I
- 3:10come up with and sometimes the questions are perfect for
- 3:12something and sometimes they suck and I have to constantly
- 3:16curate the right question for the situation.
- 3:19I was working on this last night with a client where we were
- 3:22talking about different questions that we could ask
- 3:25ourselves in lots of situations that need to be resolved from
- 3:29the past for this person. And you can't resolve something
- 3:33from the past with that involved other people if those other
- 3:38people are not willing and able to talk about it with you or
- 3:41incapable because something happened and maybe they passed.
- 3:44So we have to start asking ourselves better questions in
- 3:48the present to be able to move through something.
- 3:51So again, and all doing this while being patient, which is
- 3:55the dreaded word, be patient. Don't push yourself into a
- 3:59position where you're just like, I got to know right now.
- 4:02Because quite honestly, the more you pause and the more you
- 4:07ponder something, you start to read between the lines.
- 4:10You start to look at other people's conditions, where they
- 4:13were, what they may have been thinking.
- 4:15You start to open up yourself to believing something different
- 4:19may have been involved. And then the whole thing is not
- 4:22so harsh, it's not so hard. It's not.
- 4:24So it doesn't RIP you apart the same way because you're more on
- 4:30the curious side than you are on the judgment side.
- 4:33You're more capable of taking in different perspectives of
- 4:37things. But but when we get into these
- 4:40situations, which is the point of today's podcast, when we get
- 4:43into this, we have to make sure that we are coming at it from a
- 4:48very different perspective. And we have to push ourselves
- 4:51every time to get past the perspective we already ran
- 4:54because that one is very available to us and we will
- 4:57stick with it. But we can't, we have to say,
- 4:59Nope, I'm going to look at this in a completely different way.
- 5:01I'm going to change the questions.
- 5:03I'm going to give myself maybe some really curious deeper
- 5:07questions. I'm going to give myself some
- 5:09patient questions. I'm going to give myself some
- 5:12caring questions, loving questions, whatever it might be.
- 5:16Label your questions, chunk them down, and you know it makes all
- 5:21the difference when you start giving the heading to the
- 5:23question and then start finding the questions in that way.
- 5:27All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 5:29will see you tomorrow. Bye.
