Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Vincon Mecabinnie is our UK. You're correspondent. Lots to talk
- 0:02Speaker 1: about this morning, Vincent. We may have, well, at least
- 0:05Speaker 1: the Israelis like the look of this deal from the
- 0:07Speaker 1: UIs Hamas still studying it.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. I mean, this conflict is obviously in
- 0:14Speaker 2: a devastating stage. This week in Gaza, we've seen those
- 0:18Speaker 2: scenes desperation, people trying to access the food aid. We've
- 0:21Speaker 2: seen yet more bombing and death. The US envoy, who
- 0:25Speaker 2: is a longtime friend of Donald Trump, no diplomatic experiences,
- 0:30Speaker 2: a sort of New York property developer, Steve Whitcoff. He
- 0:33Speaker 2: seems to think that there's some optimism around this deal
- 0:36Speaker 2: between Israel and Hamas. But it has to be said that,
- 0:39Speaker 2: you know, whilst Israel it is saying that it is
- 0:42Speaker 2: very much trying to get back into Donald Trump's good books.
- 0:44Speaker 2: There has been a bit of a fraudoire between Jerusalem
- 0:47Speaker 2: and Washington d C. But so far no word from
- 0:50Speaker 2: the Palestinian side, so I wouldn't expect anything too imminently.
- 0:55Speaker 3: What about this Liverpool kresh driver, we're learning more about
- 0:58Speaker 3: him this morning. What do we know?
- 1:00Speaker 2: Yeah, in the past hour here police have given a
- 1:02Speaker 2: press conference and said that he is fifty three year
- 1:05Speaker 2: old businessman Paul Doyle from Liverpool. He has been charged
- 1:10Speaker 2: with seven offenses after that horrific car crash at the
- 1:14Speaker 2: Liverpool Football Club parade on Monday. Those are charges which
- 1:19Speaker 2: he will have to face or sort of have to
- 1:22Speaker 2: first appearance and make of first appearance for at Liverpool
- 1:25Speaker 2: magstrates caught in the morning and there are two counts
- 1:28Speaker 2: of unlawful and malicious wounding with intent to cause a GBH,
- 1:32Speaker 2: two counts of causing unlawful and malicious grievously body harm,
- 1:35Speaker 2: other counts of dangerous striving. Those victims you know, several
- 1:39Speaker 2: of whom are still being treated in hospital for their injuries.
- 1:43Speaker 2: A total of seventy nine injured. Thankfully no one was killed.
- 1:47Speaker 2: This case though, has really shocked Britain and tomorrow we
- 1:51Speaker 2: will see what he has to say for himself.
- 1:53Speaker 3: All right. Appreciate you time, Vice and make of any
- 1:55Speaker 3: UK europe correspondent for.
