- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: How's it?
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: Bill's fans, Lance Nelson, president of built-in Buffalo here with Scott Cassin, our guy Benjamin Schupe ditched us for the Saber's game.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: No, I don't know.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's not here tonight, so just the two of us here are rolling a triple coverage over to just some double coverage tonight.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: Bills sneaked out of win.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: It's the Chargers last week.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: We got a division game this week.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_00]: The first division game of the season for the Bills and it's at home in the new Highmark Stadium.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: I lot to break down with that.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_00]: But first Scott Cassen, how are you, my friend?
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: How are we feeling this week on a Thursday?
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: Feeling good.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: We're in October, which is probably the best sports month of the year.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_01]: We got college football.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: We had NFL football.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: NHL started the other night and full slate of games tonight.
- 1:24[SPEAKER_01]: Playoff baseball, which is already underway.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: Go Yankees.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: NBA starts soon.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_01]: We got a sports equinox coming up in a couple of weeks all four main sports.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_01]: And if you're a soccer fan, we got international friendlies and then Premier League is in full full form.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: So October and then maybe, you know, March is a close second to best sports month.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_01]: But we're we're in October and the bill started off the year in September three and out.
- 1:53[SPEAKER_01]: So a perfect month.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: But last.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: Sunday's game was a little different than what we saw in the first two Struggle to get past the chargers five turnovers, which is generally not a winning formula unless you're playing against the chargers, which we're going to get into a little later But Lance they mentioned smoke detectors going off Josh Allen and Joe Brady both both said that in this felt like a game in years past that
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: The bills may have lost.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: They're they're good for a couple of stinkers every year, but they survived this one.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: What are some of the smoke detectors that you're noticing that they have to clean up going into the division.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_01]: Again, this week of like you mentioned.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, obviously, biggest thing is don't shoot yourself in the foot with silly mistakes that are, you know, penalties and turnovers, right?
- 2:42[SPEAKER_00]: That's the biggest smoke detector for me is the only team in the NFL that looks like they can beat the bills right now are the bills themselves and they almost did that against it and opponent that had no business really with the state of their season being necessarily as close as it was and I mean,
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: five turnovers to get them that close.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: I just can't imagine if you have a cleaner game, not as many penalties procedure type stuff and don't fumble the ball away.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know the interceptions, whatever, that one that he threw deep to DJ Moore is what it is.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think he mentioned it was just to say this is a shot and the ball bounced the wrong way and I can live.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_01]: He definitely thought he had it for you play.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I mean, it's, uh, you know, it's just not killing yourself there.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: You got to clean it up as far as penalties and definitely the turnovers.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, you can't turn over.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: This is the second game in four games, right?
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it's a dead Denver day at five and then this game, they had five.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: So, so two in their last four games, they had five plus turnovers.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: And that's just, you know, I kind of win many games like that.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: They got lucky.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to speak that out against a struggling chargers team, but man, he can't tempt me with that too much.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is the kind of game that in years past, it feels like they would have lost and can say something about Joe Brady in the new culture and blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_01]: But realistically, the defense is all about how they build them out, which is kind of ironic, you know, Joe Brady's an offensive coach, but
- 4:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's good that the bill is survived and want a gritty game like this.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's something you want to see.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_01]: It's like find a way to win ugly because they still count the same.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_01]: So Positive as we talked about some negatives is James Cook is good.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_01]: We knew that, but he hadn't quite gotten rolling the first two weeks like he did last season.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: I get the feeling he had a decent game, but it wasn't like he took over like he did the times last year, but
- 4:53[SPEAKER_01]: 24 carries, 154 yards when the passing game really wasn't getting things going.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_01]: He carried them on the ground.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: Do you think Lance, the first two weeks were, very passing game focused, very aggressive.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_01]: This game Brady was able to pivot and say, hey, it's, you know, what we've been doing isn't working, we still have a damn good running back to damn good offensive line.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: I guess that I'm trying to think of the best way to ask something here.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's great to think they can go both ways like that.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_01]: And do you think this is a sign of things that come like are we going to go back to the offense?
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: We saw last year or is it going to be kind of a mix throughout the whole year?
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's going to be game dependent, I think, and, you know, as good as Cook is put us in a hole early with a fumble and that's a concern of mine, you know, I think the world of James Cook, I bought the jersey this year, I got the nickel city number four, I wore it last week and
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: He has now fumbled in multiple games on the first possession, first play of the game.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: And that's like lightning strikes twice.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's crazy.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I got to clean up the ball security stuff for him.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: But again, it is one play and you're not going to be a running back and never fumble.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's just the way that a fill is, I think.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 6:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I do have concern about ball security.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: They were given him the ball late in the game and I said, man, with his ball security issue.
- 6:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if you want to be handing it to him to ice the game.
- 6:31[SPEAKER_00]: But obviously, they're going to and give him that respect, but it's like, man,
- 6:37[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Ray Davis would be right right here to get a couple of carries, but nonetheless, yeah, you know, James Cook, the vision patients and that burst when he decides and he goes, that's just a special skill that not a lot of running backs in this league.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he may be the best running back and we got at cutting back runs and finding holes where there aren't.
- 7:01[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's a lot of plays or he gains six, seven, eight more yards, but it's not going to the whole of the place of a lot of running backs.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: Have visions straight ahead and hey, I got this play goes through a gap.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_01]: I run through a gap James Cook.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_01]: He finds the whole his patients.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's not navy on bell level patience, but he finds the holes or it would sometimes they're not there.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you mentioned the fumbles and it's something that was a problem earlier.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_01]: He fumbled on his first career in the NFL, but then that was his only fumble that whole season.
- 7:32[SPEAKER_01]: So they okay, like you know, big deal.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: And he had three.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: That was one.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_01]: He cleaned it up.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: And last year, he had six fumbles.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_01]: He already has two this season.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_01]: The one against the Texans.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_01]: Osiris Florence doesn't fall on that ball.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_01]: They lose that game and he, like you mentioned, put it in a big hole there.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_01]: So ball security is definitely something that has been a worry and seems to still be there, but you got to trust in a big situation.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_01]: These is one of the best running back to the league.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's one of the best players on this offense, so hopefully we don't talk about this again, but unfortunately it kind of seems like it's something we're going to have to talk about.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_01]: But I hit it on an earlier defense and balled out, bailed us out.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: They were putting a lot of really tough situations with a lot of short fields and they were able to hold them to field goals, get an interception in the end of their own two, who would want, you know, that called back for a penalty.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_01]: CJ Garden Johnson was awesome, Greg, but we were going to talk about here in the next segment,
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: So it seemed like the defense is moving in the right direction.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_01]: I know that the Charger's Offensive is kind of out of sorts, but still what when your offense turns them all over five times and he will only give up 16 points and one touchdown that that's pretty incredible.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: So what do you see from the defense on Sunday.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, they made some good tackles and just, you know, they're seemingly starting to figure it out a little bit.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think we talked multiple times about just trying to see the same thing pre-snap and and know what each other are doing and have that trust in each other.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think we continue to see some more of that.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: and then obviously continuing to get the pressure that they need to get on the quarterback, obviously helps every defense when you get the best, when you get the most pressure, now the league leader in SACs, Gregor So, and we'll get to an moment.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously keeping the pressure on is going to really be a big benefit for this defense.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I said after the lines game on Thursday night, I was choosing to believe that what we saw in the first half was the defense we were going to see and we knew there'd be growing pains and yeah, seems like they're starting to figure it out and they'll have a test this weekend in the defending AFC champion Patriots coming to town before we get to that move along to our finger lakes coffee rosers flavor of the week.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_01]: not the American high-five song, the Finger Lakes coffee rosers flavor of the week.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: If you know that one, no, great for yourself.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: Defensive player the month, this is.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well deserved.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think he's a third player in NFL history to have two sacks in his first three games.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not a math guy, but even I know that adds up to six so far, which was career high as eight.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: Have a feeling he's going to break that pretty soon and maybe get double digits and out 15 sacks the guy that you thought they were getting when they drafted him in the first round back in 2020.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_01]: Um, so Lance, I've sat I saw was interesting, uh, he's the first Bill's defensive player of the month since Kyle Williams and the first in the, the Josh now and era.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: So kind of wild, been a long time had several old pros on the other side of the ball, but no, the sense of player of the month.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_01]: What have you seen from groups so far?
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's been a long time, they shouldn't have left us without a defensive player of the month through for, sorry, little tried to try to go with a little wrap there and didn't really work for me, but hey, keep shooting.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: Gregor Soes on its air, you know, I think it helps when at Oliver and Bradley Chub and Dion Walker are playing with you know, they've got a good mix of guys, which is like.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: Such a relief because there's one of those things I was looking at these units coming into the season and like what are we really going to get from them and this is the Greg Russo.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: We sort of thought we could get under the right circumstances and I didn't you know, I don't know exactly.
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's always been that edge setter, but now he's just getting loose and maybe with the odd front, you do have five on the front versus four in the past scheme, so that could help at times as well and maybe cause some confusion doing some more things to get him on an island and that's just using his long arms, obviously, Bradley Chept talked about that and his presser just
- 12:10[SPEAKER_00]: the impressiveness of the length that Gregory Soha has and maybe Chub kind of taught him a little thing or two on how to use that a little bit more to his vantage.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: So it's nice to see I think fruit was a guy that was heavily criticized by a lot of people to be paid as much as he's being paid and not produced the sack numbers that he has that he hasn't
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: really had six so far.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we could see him.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_00]: What do you think?
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: Like 15 getting near 20 this year if things pop out.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about that.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get done.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_00]: 15 to 18, right?
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's somewhere potentially.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's been also in John Asses.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: He didn't better stand it up.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: So far.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_01]: And I think you just look at his body type.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: He's so long.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: Allowing him to rush from, you know, kind of like a wide nine or seven versus more like head up with the D.N.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's going to turn to you with the defensive, the offensive tackle is going to be an advantage or head like he can.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's going to be quicker off the ball than he has really long arms.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: He can use his lepers and he's showing flashes of this.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: Like there were a week one against the Cardinals in 2024, he had three sacks and he was now the best player on the field and last year against the Brown.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: He was unblockable in that game.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_01]: And he showed the flash that's just been a matter of putting it together for an extended period of time.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: And he's done that so far this season, the new scheme definitely seems to be helping him with that.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: So hopefully that continues and really excited to see this continue and having Bradley Chubber on the other side's open too.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_01]: Can't quite, you know, seven to five.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_01]: You can't swing the whole line his way because Bradley Chove is really good on the other side.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_01]: So, good for group, congrats to him and Josh is one enough of these awards on the offensive side.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see, you know, I'm on the defensive side, moving right along to the injury report and brought to you by Paul of Donuts, made with love, if you're injured, don't be upset, have a donor, makes everybody feel better,
- 14:22[SPEAKER_01]: a lot of names on it for the bills, but not really a whole lot to be concerned about Christian Benford hasn't practiced yet this week yesterday or today, Tweets is towed, the one he injured last year, I believe this past Sunday, got to feel like he's a long shot to play.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody else relatively good.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: D.J.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_01]: Moore kind of following the same routine as last week, limited practice, non-contact, Jersey.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: What is that?
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: Same for Coleman as well.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: Same sort of.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: Key on didn't practice after they was back out there today, looked pretty normal when he was dancing around on the field.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_01]: So overall, not a whole lot to be concerned about going over to the Patriots side.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_01]: A lot more to be concerned about Christian Gonzalez hasn't practiced yet this week.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's a top five corner in the NFL so if he doesn't go on Sunday that would be huge Regigillium our old friend didn't practice today.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_01]: He's a good player so it wouldn't hate to see him not play But also I know a lot of bills fans myself included like to give him innovation back in Buffalo Morgan Moses hasn't practiced this week in either has Christian Barmore
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: as far as starters on their side.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_01]: So the paths are backed up, bills relatively healthy.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_01]: And if anything stand out to you there as far as the injury report goes.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_01]: And what would you say it looks like as far as, if no, if Benford doesn't play?
- 15:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm all right.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: If Benford needs another week here, the Patriots, switer severs haven't been that great.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: And the ones, I mean, Matt Collins is a big presence, but we can deal with him with the safety's also.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_00]: And then you have more speed type guys, otherwise in our cornerbacks should be able to deal with speed type guys really well.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_00]: Sort of the sort of profile they have.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think they'll be able to do well against,
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: dobs or a Kyle Williams, a pop Douglas, Alfred might be on him, so don't really have to worry about that so much, but we'll see not super concerned if Benford needs to sit a week for the greater good long-term, and I think that's sort of in the M.O.
- 16:45[SPEAKER_00]: of this staffs how far is sort of like
- 16:47[SPEAKER_00]: let's take in the greater good of the long-term and if hold a guy out for an extra week just to be on the cautious side, I mean, for the Patriots, so Barmore, Morgan Moses, if those two aren't going, gives the bills a huge edge again and the trenches, the bills have had
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: really good luck against you know teams trenches so far the line of skirmish has been all buffalo because of a lot of injuries on their opponents' lines, whether it's offensive or defensive lines in each game.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: So looking like they could have that luck again in the week four,
- 17:24[SPEAKER_00]: And it's going to be interesting because eventually they're going to run into someone with all their horses and we'll see, you know, sort of a real litmus test with that, but right now looking like they're fourth week in a row of sort of facing a team that doesn't necessarily have everything up front.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_00]: And then obviously in the back end, Christian Gonzalez not playing.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: really opens up the offense for the bills and allows them because I mean obviously it's all us as one of the shutdown guys in the league and I think that his matchup with DJ Moore would be really fun to watch and I think it would change the entire dynamic of the way the bills attack this Patriots defense if Gonzalez is out there.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: You somebody who can take away half the field and if he's not out there
- 18:13[SPEAKER_01]: Make Josh Allen's life a lot easier and moving on to the story about Josh Allen that was in the news of it this week.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: Had a little bit of an injury scare on Sunday in the second half.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_01]: Tweaked his left me look like and then he was pretty gimpy after the game and I went back and I watched his snaps after it happened and he could tell you that he was kind of polite you wasn't moving as well.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: a lot of Twitter doctors out there were saying could DMCL could be a miscus, you know, thinking the worst, but not on the injury for what's fine moving around no problem in practice.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, not worried about Josh Allen not playing.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_01]: He's psycho in the best way, but does it worry you?
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: It seems that there's been more design growing this year.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's been running a lot,
- 19:04[SPEAKER_01]: have to have to take a step back it and say, hey, this is week two, week three, week four.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_01]: We don't need to be taken these hits on Josh Allen.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_01]: Are you a little bit concerned with his usage and would you like to see, you know, kind of, maybe back to the way it was a few years ago, like as the season went on and we needed it, he ran more than I was saying the play off, all bets are off, but just
- 19:28[SPEAKER_01]: you got to think we got to we got to continue we got to maybe save this guy from him self a little bit and take some of these hits off.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean he's been absolutely crazy with the some of the plays he's been getting and then it's sort of hard because like when you call that quarterback play whether it's the Tush push or they've had some designed runs for him
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: There's only one way for him to do that.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he's Josh Allen.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: He only does that one way.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: And that's all out like not gonna go down, going to fight for every inch.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_00]: And like, yeah, he got just smacked a couple times and it's like, whoa, what?
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 20:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like third quarter of week three.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't necessarily need Josh Allen doing that.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you you need that in, you know, fourth quarter of a playoff game, but you don't need that in week three.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was the third quarter is when I noticed it last week.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: I could be off here.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: But one of his scrambles was just like dude, what?
- 20:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: why is that happening right now in this situation of the game doesn't seem like it's necessary.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then the other thing is like, let's get the ball to some of these weapons more in Shakir and Kenkei.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Morris had his fill I think, so I'm not really worried about
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: you know him getting any more volume but i think there's some guys that could get some more volume and you know we didn't see as much you know quick screenshot the last game or much the season even so it's like could we replace one or two of those Josh Allen runs with a quick quick screen either a wider receiver or even running back like last week Ty Johnson comes back
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: I, you know, I think he did well, but I was expecting him to have a little bit of a bigger role, you know, even Ray Davis, he can give a little bit of bigger role at times.
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: And it's only three to five.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: Hutsch is in a game where do those things?
- 21:32[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not a lot, but it's still enough to, like I said, those three plays that that he has designed runs on like he's getting beat up.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly, and you don't need them taking those hits yet.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_01]: So, you've said it perfectly.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: You only have one speed, and that's all out.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that's try to run through linebackers and try to hurt all, and he's got a little bit better on it, but any hits we can keep off with him at September.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: October, I think you have to.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: Seems like they may, if I don't want to say down to the bullet, because it wasn't like the craziest mechanism, but you avoided anything, so let's not keep pressing our lock.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: and that moving on, but that's all that matters.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: Moving on to our new favorite segment, Scott's Bad Break of the Week brought to you by Break City cards in memory.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: Billia, they're at the tailgates with us, and they got mystery boxes, they got cards for sale, and just overall contributing to the good time of the tailgate.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_01]: So, come on out and see us and see them.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: This Sunday morning will be there right in early until about an hour before kickoff.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: My bad beat of the week is honestly just the chargers in general, the bills won the game after spotting the chargers 10 points and really 18 points considering the points bread.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_01]: The bills won the game and they covered by half of points.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: If you were to tell a chargers fan or a chargers veteran at the bills turn the ball over five times and the chargers won the turnover margin by four and the bills had 10 penalties.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_01]: case those were able to win and cover the large 7.5 point spread and here's a stat that shows you really kind of how bad it was.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_01]: Since 2013 teams with five plus turnovers and a minus four turnover margin are 381 in one straight up the three wins were the bills over the charges this weekend.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_01]: The Jaguar is over the Chargers in 2022 and the Broncos over the Chargers in 20.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_01]: All three of those large offices under those circumstances were against the chargers.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: So if you're a chargers fan.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: If you're a chargers better.
- 23:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: Seems like Jim Harba had helped with the charger ring, but it still still is happening.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: So not not ideal.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_01]: If that was you.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: We're trying to run a highlight here in the comments totally agree.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_00]: That's a bad break for them.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Moore got hurt and didn't play necessarily the full game against the lions.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: He had a pretty good first week and then after getting hurt, he missed a little bit and last week, he was there but you're not going to feed him a full volume after
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he was a leading receiver on something like I think he's going to do just fine, but you're going to, you know, he is a little bit limited right now with the AC joint and the shoulder stuff going on.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: So I wouldn't necessarily think that you have to have more from him right now, you need to recover more than anything.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: So that's that.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_00]: All right, 7-1 Slicks sponsored segment here for us, the 7-1 Slicks Fantasy Picks Scott Cass and give me your start for this week, sir.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_01]: I'm starting 61 straight days of football, which starts today, goes for the next 61 days.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: Every day you have either a college game or an NFL game.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_01]: one of the best stretches of the year.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_01]: Every now and then you can watch some football.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_01]: Next week, we got the midweek conference USA action and then a November midweek action, which is absolutely nothing like it.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_01]: So excited for 61 straight days of football.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_00]: right on.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to start Dalton concade this week.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, pushing him's all.
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's does change the effect of where their bills are going to go.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_00]: But don't concade leads the team.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_00]: I believe in receiving yards currently and I believe he will continue that and have a nice week, continue his breakout to bad bends not here to say that.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_01]: Break it out.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: All right, sit.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to sit Drake may and I know he's a lot of people starting quarterback.
- 26:06[SPEAKER_00]: I expect him to start having more success this year, but I don't expect it to start this week.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think the bill's defense continues to give.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_00]: some fits.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: And especially if Morgan Moses misses this game, I think the Drake May would be a fantasy sit this week for many different quarterbacks that you could put in even a guy like Kyler Murray could play over Drake May this week, potentially if May continues his slide, like said, do expect
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: Scott, who are you sitting this week?
- 26:46[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sitting the boss of the Red Sox because they got swept out of the playoffs.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't even make it to the month of October by a combined score of 18 to two.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: Not good.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_01]: We had a lot of wine in your Red Sox fans online complaining about things and say what you want about the baseball.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_01]: Play off system and the second and third best team in the AL having to play.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: But they lost 18 to two, they're out of here.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: Two years in a row, the aches have knocked them out.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: Ham sure, Hitler has absolutely dominated them.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_01]: Two years in a row, he'll get the point five, the array, instead of that stock, and his career.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: And this Yankees team has me ready to get hurt again.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: Ready to take on the raids and all the flaws are probably going to come out, but they score nine runs again.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: They'll be tough to beat.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think any time their bats can show up, you've got the chance to win and that's really been the Achilles heel at times with going dormant on offense.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_00]: So hopefully continue to swing hop at so as I see Luis Garcia Jr. get in the mix with a Homer man, Lombard Jr's been awesome too.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_00]: So just got to you know keep the young guys rolling and then you may welcome back.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: your former MVP and Aaron judge and we'll see how that helps and continues.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully, you know, he doesn't come back and stumble out of the gate and sort of create a hole in the lineup.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, obviously not having played a ton.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you could see him come back and struggle for a gamer to and that would not be the best case for the Yankees.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'd be surprised if you put a few plays right away.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_01]: I think he might be on the roster as a pinch hitter, but he hasn't run.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: And they don't have a spot for him at D.H. Hard to say no on the spot for him.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_01]: It's the best hitter in the world, but who do you sit or see our advice?
- 28:42[SPEAKER_01]: And if he's not healthy, I don't know.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_01]: I know he wants to play, but I don't know if it's worth it yet.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it's fighting stuff.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: It really is.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I want to talk about this week's game.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, pretty big game this week, if you haven't heard, bills will take on the Patriots in the first divisional matchup of the year, would he got Scott.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, two weeks on a row, the bills have a very desperate team coming in.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: And then the NFL, that's not a good thing.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: They're one and two.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_01]: There's got absolutely relaxed by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_01]: They obviously put up 10 points against the Seahawks and Kwan, beat the Steelers, but whatever.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't like they were off and looked amazing.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: Man, is that where are you at all incidents?
- 29:31[SPEAKER_00]: The visual game too.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: It seems they know each other.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: They're all the cliches.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: They're all true.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: They're gonna give the bills everything they got because they cannot fall to one and three
- 29:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, regardless of their record, this is a game where they're going to go give the bills their best shot.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm not sure if there's too much more desperation than there would be otherwise.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is the team they have to beat to win the division regardless of how you start.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know if there's too much more to it than that.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know if the Patriots are going to be any more desperate than they would have been otherwise if they were undefeated either.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you got to beat the bills to win the division.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_00]: The bills are undefeated.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_00]: So even if they were undefeated, you'd still have a lot riding on this game to win it.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_00]: So either way, they need to have an onus on this game.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it might ratchet it up just a little bit more, but I don't think I'm not necessarily worried about them being one and two and having any more desperation and then the otherwise would have.
- 30:35[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_01]: going to be a good one, hopefully not, hopefully the bill's blown out, but the bill's past games of this iteration of the Patriots have both been pretty close and exciting game, so just play clean, don't turn the ball over five times, everything should be fine.
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: As far as the bill's offense goes, the Patriots defense hasn't really been the problem.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_01]: The pads often actually outgamed the jags last week, even though they lost 35 to 6 or whatever it was, which is kind of an incredible stats.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_01]: So Lance, push Gonzalez, let's assume he's playing or not playing whichever way you want to take it.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_01]: What are you looking at as the pads defense as a whole and what are some things you think they can attack, what are some of their strengths.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, obviously, 10 defenses and EPA per pass, but not so much in EPA per rush, 25th right now.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_00]: So definitely need to get your running game going, would like to see maybe just using all three running backs with if Alan's got a little nick in that knee.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see if he does or doesn't, I'm not sure, but if there is,
- 31:56[SPEAKER_00]: anything to that and he needs a little bit of a recovery week, you know, wouldn't mind seeing the bills hand the ball off a whole bunch this week and let James cook as the next points going to be, you know, but let also let's get ready Davis and tie Johnson, get some quick throws, get some quick stuff going and don't make Josh hold the ball and aggravate anything.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the tie Johnson somebody probably should mention missed the first two games back last week was awesome kind of touchdown call back on a pretty questionable hold on Dawson Knox, but he was he was he was tied Johnson he was blocking well he was the security blanket on third down fourth down even.
- 32:39[SPEAKER_01]: Josh found him so he was great to have back and really showed showed the bills in missing when he's not in there.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah James Cook he's really good brushing later last year you know we could give him super-latives to where we're blue in the face but in a game with with with the pads where they can keep the Patriots off and off the field and electric may hasn't been great this season but the Patriots are still a good team run the ball control the clock
- 33:06[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to be able to run the ball on this beach fence, so yeah, left James Cook.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_01]: And I guess we're less likely to turn the ball over when it's on the ground, even though he does fumble sometimes, but a good way to control it.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I guess hard to say with a straight face that the bills have a less lesser chance when the balls on the ground, when they hand them all off versus throwing it, but yeah, it's been a coin flip so far, but I think that for the most part, you have to trust your horse and let it go.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely, and then last thing here, the Patriots blitz a lot.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_01]: Like the top three in the league they're blitzing over 43% of the time they're going to try to heat Josh out on up they run a similar three four to the bills you're going to run a lot of exotic looks.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: Generally it's not a great idea to blitz quarterback like Josh Allen who is smart and see it really well.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: But the offensive line in Josh are going to have to be on the same page.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to have to know where his hot reads are.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: There's going to be free blitzers that Josh is going to have to deal with.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: And if he is dealing with any kind of a neat thing that's definitely not ideal, what are some ways you see the bill is exploiting that and turning that against them.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I do think that you have like I mentioned you're going to have to get the ball out quick 2.49 time to pressure on average for the Patriots.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_00]: So, you do have to utilize some of this quick game that I think looks secure in Ty Johnson and, you know, cancade, can even get into the mix, knocks, can get in that mix, DJ Moore is not going to be a slouch when it comes at either, whether it's quick slants, whether it's, you know, drags or just doing some of the screen game as well.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_00]: You got to get some of these guys in space, swing passes out of the back field, they've,
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: had the propensity to line up Cleo Shakir in the back field at times and swing it out to them too.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: So all that sort of thing I'm looking for Joe Brady to get creative with ways to get the ball out quick and get it so people are in space and have room to make some people miss or make some moves and get up field for a chunky yardage.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_01]: A blix doesn't get home to put to the back end of the defense and a really tough situation, and especially if they're blitzing and they're manated up on the backside things get lost in the wash, especially out of the back field.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_01]: So Josh Jones, you've been a quarter back to really get that bothered by it, but hey, if let's just do get home, I can make it his day a lot longer.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, big things as always, if the bills take care of the football.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: They can establish the run game keep Josh Allen up right they're going to win the game because as you said earlier, the only team that beats the bills, whatever beats the bills is the bills.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: So just don't do that that we can sounds even up right.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's pretty easy.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so moving over to the defensive side and the Patriots all fence, I start with this.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_01]: Drake may okay.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, I think he, like I said, I think he's going to get back on track a tough few weeks for him, you know, a little bit of a slump.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, didn't finish the season well last year and the Super Bowl against a really good defense and, you know, there's going to be some mental challenges and mental hurdles that he has to deal with right now as a quarterback.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_00]: But I fully expect, you know, he's going to have a week or two,
- 36:42[SPEAKER_00]: coming up where he's going to get right, I don't think it's going to be this week necessarily.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think the bill's defense continues to put him in pressure situations and keep that slide going for him, but I still think he's going to do some decent things out there even this Sunday, potentially, but not fully get back to what is
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: Best peak was last year.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: I just think he's going to start that turn around.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_01]: I think the coaching staff In New England's good enough to help him with that and I think he's a good enough player to really not continue the slide for too much longer Yes, six interception so far on the season a couple of fumble of the one last week where you said there was blood on the ball And I just kind of scored it out of the time, which was like a james Winston at the Rose Bowl ask fumble
- 37:31[SPEAKER_01]: people remember that one.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: And just last season, I know it's like, oh, the schedule and back in quarterback and blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 37:38[SPEAKER_01]: But you looked good.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_01]: Like, he, he looked competent and he may be like a confidence thing.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I always been dealing with a shoulder something that I guess that's doctors aren't sure how like real that it is.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_01]: But he's young and he's talented.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's really a little figure it out.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, like you said, hopefully not
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: Another person who has been missing for the Patriots, and that's because of the injury, is AJ Brown.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: He was their big offseason acquisition, a true number of on-wide receiver, Super Bowl champion, came over in the trade.
- 38:17[SPEAKER_01]: And outside of AJ, like, there's really anybody that worries you.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: I know they have two running backs, Stevenson has a formal problem, which we know about.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_01]: Henderson is kind of starting to come into his own as draft last year, Romeo Dobbs has gone absolutely nothing so far and he's on a pretty big contract.
- 38:36[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, that'll hopefully you figure itself out for them.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: My friend in that Collins corner Henry, the decent tight ends, but like outside of AJ Brown, that that weapons room gets thin real quick.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_01]: So, who of anybody, I guess, are you wanting the bills to key in on defensively there?
- 38:57[SPEAKER_00]: really the running backs, you know, looking for the linebacking core and, you know, those folks to really step up and make sure that a guy like Trayvon Henderson doesn't ruin your night or your day.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's the biggest concern for me is making sure those running backs.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_00]: are neutralized.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then, like I said before, I think our corners suit really well to play against this group of receivers.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_00]: You do have Mac Collins who's more of a big physical guy and could if he's on hair to a ton, you could see him try to take advantage of that.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: But otherwise, like
- 39:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not worried about Dobbs or Kyle Williams or any of the other guys really even the tight ends against, you know, the bills first and now I think they match up really well with most of those, we got most of those guys and just want to bring up here comment from Joey, appreciate you being in the chat all the time, Joey, a lot of comments today, especially to so appreciate that.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_00]: IGB is going to be pretty good in my opinion.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's shown some areas where he's got to learn, but I really think overall last week, especially like.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_00]: made a nice tackle near the line of scrimmage wants to be physical.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: We know he can get hands on people, he does get called for it quite a bit, but overall I think IGB is ready to step up and play the role and I think this week kind of suits him well too.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think any of these guys would really give him too much of a problem.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be a good week to sort of step into a starter's role and get some valuable experience.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I gv played really well.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_01]: I was he played most of the second half had a really nice pass break up down the field and he showed a lot of flashes.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: You mentioned he got the boxing glove treatment at Ohio State because he was too grabby and practice boxing gloves, but clean that up his senior year and.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_01]: is a long athletic corner who fits really well in the system.
- 41:03[SPEAKER_01]: So if he does have to start this weekend, if Benford can't go, I'm excited to see him pull.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't see him getting extended look at.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_00]: Um, yeah, so, you know, the bills again get lucky without a team without one of their stars here in AJ Brown this time and not necessarily on a line of skirmish, but also just one of those things where, you know, the sort of the luck falls the bills weigh, although they'll be down potentially benford, um, getting a team without all of its horses again.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you talked about here the Patriots running back, averaging three and a half yards of carry bills run defense, you know, what do you what do you like about it so far and and where do you think they need to improve obviously not the best run defense in the league.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: 19th and EPA per rush at point negative 0.02 and see the yards per carry yards per play allowed the bills are
- 42:27[SPEAKER_00]: near the top, they're tied for 13th at four yards per play, yards allowed per rush.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, I think they're just like we talked about continuing to grow on defense and another test from this week, we'll definitely be looking to keep those running backs and check.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: That's the one thing where I think they can get beat if the running backs have a good day
- 42:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so far, doing that hasn't had a ton of rock rush in the ball, only 3.5 yards per carry from their running backs, which is well below, we can get average.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: Andres sends a home run hitter, we saw him do it against the last year.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_01]: So Steven's in kind of up and down, and the doghouse has a lot of the fumbling issues.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_01]: Some of that is because they were trained on pretty much the whole game on Sunday, so it couldn't go and commit to the run game.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: Bill has shown times of being solid this season, so if they can make him one dimensional, make Drake may have to beat them through the air, which he hasn't really shown his but able to do so far this season.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_01]: It could be a long day for them, but yeah, as far as hard as the bills go, we got to get the Drake may make him beat through the air with no AJ Brown.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_01]: No one's really scaring you over there, so
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: And theory, it sounds like the bill should have an OK time, but the NFL never is that easy.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see, but yeah, I just got to clean it up from last week because that was unacceptable, and at least even though that.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for sure.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_00]: All right, one more comment for before our last segment of the night, we can get out of here and watch them hockey play off baseball tonight and then a little little NFL Thursday night or as well.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_00]: UBS, it's early in the season, but any observations on significant coaching differences between Brady.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_00]: and McDermott.
- 44:29[SPEAKER_00]: First of all, Brady seems to take the ball first so far.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see if that continues, but that's one difference that aggressive nature of Brady.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_00]: And then for me, the other thing I have Scott is just the vibes and everyone sort of talks about it.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_00]: a lot and you can kind of feel it.
- 44:47[SPEAKER_00]: I feel like around the stadium and things when you're there.
- 44:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's the vibe of the team is a little bit different this year.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_00]: It's maybe hard to explain what that means all told but just the entire feeling around does feel a little bit different.
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, obviously that energy that Brady has radiates throughout the team and even I think in the fan base as well and some respects and I think that
- 45:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know, that looser, that sort of, you know, his slogan right now is put the ball down.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a very much like, hey, I don't have to necessarily be strict and tell you how to do your job.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_00]: You have a responsibility, I'm telling you your responsibility and then how you achieve that responsibility is on you and you are accountable for that.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_01]: a little bit of a different thing and it's it's worked nice so far really yeah we need the bills to win another coin toss they can see if he takes the ball or if that was just opening stadium we want the ball to score first thing i'm intrigued by it also just those more more aggressive make make dinner early on
- 46:03[SPEAKER_01]: wasn't he didn't go for a fourth down as often he kind of became more aggressive that went sort of the rest of the NFL the last week fourth and seven pretty went for around midfield and they got it and it's quarter tough down we're going to call back up to the whole more aggressive to the air yeah yeah you've seen more and more shots like last week was a little different because the offense wasn't really homens they had the kind of like
- 46:27[SPEAKER_01]: They had to grind it out, which is something that this team can do, but to do the first two weeks, a lot more aggression, which is something that McDonald was a defensive coach, he wanted to ground in pound as a veteran, you just say, you wanted to grind teams out, where them down and by the end of the fourth quarter, you know, that whoever still standing the tougher team wins, that was usually the bills, that was his mindset.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_01]: So,
- 46:52[SPEAKER_01]: Brady, a little flash here, you know, not afraid to throw the ball down the field, not not afraid to kind of turn games into track meets because they as Josh Allen, we have the best guy on the track.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_01]: So, it's still early, and I'm sure we'll see other nuances as we go, but the biggest thing is just that more aggressive than any of the vibes, as you mentioned, like every video is a DJ more and key on dancing at practice today.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_01]: seems to be a much much lighter group and hasn't seemed to cause any issues and I think this team, they have so many good veteran leaders and beyond rockets and Josh Allen, and Bradley Chug, and God DJ Moore, guys who've been around a long time that they know where they can put the line between, like, hey, we're serious and hey, we're having fun and the best teams are somewhere in the middle.
- 47:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I think that that's something that this team can handle
- 47:46[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's barely can't.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_00]: So I have three and I'll see if I'm sure that's what they had a terrible discipline week as far as Echo is so very undisciplined, but I think they'll.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: definitely address that by themselves without braiding necessarily needing to, but he also out coaching through it a little bit too and not accepting it.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_00]: So he's like I said, he definitely holds guys accountable even though he lets them sort of handle their responsibilities the way they want to go about it.
- 48:18[SPEAKER_00]: But I think, you know, he's going to get on some guys and make sure they are accountable for some of the mistakes and things where they shot themselves in the
- 48:29[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I want to move it on to the triple coverage parlay of the week.
- 48:34[SPEAKER_01]: If you're worried about how we're doing on the season, don't worry about it.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_01]: Three, and there it is.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_01]: Big tree in big three, we're oh and oh with one to go.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_01]: That's one of my coaches used to say, official odds will be out someday in the morning, but as of right now, I'm taking the big swing at Dalton Knox,
- 48:58[SPEAKER_01]: And they get in a red zone, Josh likes to try to find nons and I've been plus 550 is pretty good odds for a guy who, you know, definitely is a red zone target of the bills and with the 12 and 13 and 14 personnel, they like to run the guys give me on the field a lot Ben had Dalton to K to over 50.5 he didn't specify but I'm assuming that's receiving yards not rushing or passing, but I would be better odds.
- 49:24[SPEAKER_01]: in the minus 14 that it has there.
- 49:26[SPEAKER_01]: So so far we got knocks, we got contained.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_01]: And do you have a lot to?
- 49:33[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm going with Ty Johnson coming back again and having 25 plus receiving yards, alternate receiving yard line at plus 250, 25 yards receiving for Ty Johnson should be pretty attainable if they do what I expect them to do,
- 49:53[SPEAKER_00]: They often do not, apparently, like to listen to what I, but if they're going to get blitzed and they're going to need to get the ball out.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_00]: Ty Johnson's going to play some, uh, a lot of snaps here in, if they're going to throw the ball and have to be in third down we'll see, but
- 50:08[SPEAKER_00]: I like Ty Johnson to get 25 receiving yards, especially at plus 250, like those odds as well.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_00]: That'll be a total of plus 3337 by my calculation here on fan dual.
- 50:20[SPEAKER_00]: So 10 bucks get you a 3337.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry, 3337.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, that's a good one.
- 50:29[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, you know, we've gotten only one leg each week.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I think last week we didn't get any legs.
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 50:36[SPEAKER_00]: got to get off the snide here and we'll go from there.
- 50:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_01]: Well, a little under an hour, people get to the Braves' fillies or probably right around first in a mission of the Sabers game.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_01]: We got some other sports going on, it's exciting time.
- 50:56[SPEAKER_01]: Do you got anything else for the people?
- 51:00[SPEAKER_00]: No, that's it.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: I appreciate everyone.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: Stop out to big tree in on Sunday.
- 51:04[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be there before the game, tail gaining.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_00]: We got DOSBILS boot with us tailgating.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_00]: We got break city cards and memory video tail gaining with us.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_00]: And Angelo, our chef's gonna be making
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: New England clam chowder this week.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_00]: So he makes the opposing teams food better than they can make it.
- 51:23[SPEAKER_00]: He said he'd put his New England clam chowder up against anybody's clam chowder around Boston.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_00]: So if you got a gram on Boston that thinks their clam chowder is the best come on over to the tailgate here and try and enjoy those clam chowder.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to try to best that.
- 51:38[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm excited for it.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_00]: Clam chowder is my favorite soup.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_00]: So New England style, especially.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's right.
- 51:50[SPEAKER_00]: Any last words for you, Scott?
- 51:53[SPEAKER_01]: No, excited.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's revenge week.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_01]: Revenge is like cold cuts in the words of Tony soprano.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_01]: So let's take back the division.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_00]: Go bills.
- 52:05[SPEAKER_00]: Go bills.
