- 0:00Speaker 1: All of you on the Castro Valley Facebook are wrong.
- 0:02Speaker 1: It's one more thing.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Armstrong and Getty.
- 0:06Speaker 3: One more thing.
- 0:09Speaker 2: So you said Castro Valley?
- 0:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Castro Valley, California. This is my hometown.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Founded by Fidel Castro when he was exploring the hinterlands.
- 0:18Speaker 2: So this is your hometown Facebook.
- 0:20Speaker 1: This is my hometown, born and raised.
- 0:22Speaker 3: Okay.
- 0:22Speaker 2: And I.
- 0:23Speaker 4: I mean, I know I'm surrounded by idiots, but this
- 0:28Speaker 4: is next level.
- 0:29Speaker 1: So I sent you guys a picture.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I looked at it.
- 0:32Speaker 4: Just to lay the groundwork here, it is a photo.
- 0:37Speaker 3: You'll understand in a second. Yeah.
- 0:40Speaker 4: It is a photo of a, I'm assuming maybe a
- 0:45Speaker 4: teenage couple, might be older.
- 0:48Speaker 1: The man is laying flat on his back.
- 0:50Speaker 4: And the female has her knees tucked up under his
- 0:55Speaker 4: armpits and is basically straddling him.
- 0:57Speaker 2: They're dry humping, I'm guessing.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Thank you. I said that and everybody has been coming
- 1:02Speaker 1: at me.
- 1:03Speaker 3: You're such a poet, Jack.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Well, what are you going to call it there, Byron
- 1:07Speaker 2: and Shelley all wrapped together?
- 1:08Speaker 3: Lovely term. Dry humping. Good Lord.
- 1:13Speaker 2: It's not romantic, is it? Not a romantic term.
- 1:16Speaker 4: This whole thing got posted because this person wrote, I'm
- 1:20Speaker 4: just asking whether this is appropriate for a couple to
- 1:23Speaker 4: do in a public place. They're not undressed, but there
- 1:26Speaker 4: are young children, including my own, very close in proximity.
- 1:30Speaker 2: Oh, you can't do that in the park with kids around.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Thank you, because I wrote that and everyone is.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Up my ass about it how do you know they
- 1:43Speaker 4: were dry humping dry humping more.
- 1:46Speaker 3: Elegance this is our classiest episode ever i'm starting my
- 1:50Speaker 3: own show where we will have standards.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Yeah whatever you guys hired me for a reason so
- 1:55Speaker 4: yes yeah well.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Uh Parent here, you're being ridiculous.
- 2:01Speaker 4: You need to mind your own business and let people
- 2:03Speaker 4: do what they want to in a park.
- 2:05Speaker 2: That's a stupid take.
- 2:07Speaker 1: And I said, maybe.
- 2:08Speaker 4: People shouldn't be straddling their partner in a public place
- 2:11Speaker 4: where kids are. And then somebody wrote, how do you
- 2:14Speaker 4: know that they're dry humping? From personal experience? Oh, that's
- 2:18Speaker 4: another stupid comment.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Touché!
- 2:21Speaker 1: Oh, good one.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Yeah, because only, what, degenerates ever do that sort of thing?
- 2:27Speaker 1: Right.
- 2:27Speaker 3: What?
- 2:30Speaker 2: Usually it's you and me on the couch, you know,
- 2:32Speaker 2: we were watching a movie and this starts. That sort
- 2:35Speaker 2: of thing. Alone, not with children around.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Here's another one, coming from an anonymous profile, by the way.
- 2:39Speaker 2: How do you know from experience? What, you I'm mad, Kate.
- 2:42Speaker 2: What a stupid thing to say.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Bring it up.
- 2:44Speaker 2: What a moronic comment.
- 2:47Speaker 4: Also, I'll put as a side note, most of these
- 2:50Speaker 4: are coming from an anonymous profile or profiles that have
- 2:54Speaker 4: like a nickname. This next one, you can't control what
- 2:57Speaker 4: people do in public. If you're a mom, then you
- 3:00Speaker 4: should know that if you have your child nearby, you
- 3:02Speaker 4: should steer your kid away from the area instead of
- 3:05Speaker 4: shaming them for hugging.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And I said, oh, okay.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I said, okay, so adults shouldn't change their behavior. I
- 3:12Speaker 4: just need to make sure my child doesn't see their
- 3:14Speaker 4: poor choices. Also, if that's a hug, I'm Abraham Lincoln. Wow.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Wow.
- 3:23Speaker 2: I wouldn't be able to do that with kids around.
- 3:25Speaker 2: I would have. I mean, if we're headed that direction
- 3:27Speaker 2: and we're both feeling kind of frisky, we're getting to
- 3:30Speaker 2: the car or a secluded area of the park or
- 3:33Speaker 2: a hotel or something.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And where this took place, there's plenty of nooks.
- 3:38Speaker 4: Like, you can go just about anywhere and not be
- 3:41Speaker 4: seen by anyone. But they chose to do this on
- 3:43Speaker 4: the front lawn in front of everybody.
- 3:46Speaker 3: Find a nookie nook. So I don't want to get
- 3:50Speaker 3: sucked in by trolls. But if that person was sincere that, no,
- 3:56Speaker 3: if people want to, you know, dry hump in the
- 3:58Speaker 3: park in front of children, well, you just need to
- 4:00Speaker 3: get the children out of there. That is, that's suicidal empathy,
- 4:05Speaker 3: as God sod puts it, the great American now professor, scientist, writer.
- 4:12Speaker 4: This person, I am appalled that you have the nerve
- 4:15Speaker 4: to photograph this couple. You don't know their personal situations.
- 4:19Speaker 2: What difference does that make? What is it with people?
- 4:24Speaker 2: What is it with people? I don't know their personal situation.
- 4:27Speaker 1: No, I do.
- 4:27Speaker 4: You're dry humping in a park in front of kids.
- 4:29Speaker 1: That's your personal situation.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Try to come up with a situation to justify. It's
- 4:32Speaker 2: her birthday or.
- 4:34Speaker 3: He just got out of prison. They couldn't help themselves.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Oh, here's the next one.
- 4:39Speaker 4: Do you bitch about women breastfeeding in public as well?
- 4:42Speaker 4: You sound like a MAGA.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Another great comment that makes perfect sense. What is wrong
- 4:48Speaker 2: with you people? Here's the next one.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Dogs do this in public. Do you have a problem?
- 4:52Speaker 3: See, this doesn't sound like trolling to me. It sounds
- 4:57Speaker 3: like clever trolling that lasts.
- 4:59Speaker 1: No, these are all individual comments.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Maybe the dog one, but the other ones to me
- 5:04Speaker 2: just sound like morons.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Embracing adults.
- 5:08Speaker 2: The horror.
- 5:10Speaker 3: All right. To tie this to one of the stories,
- 5:13Speaker 3: the news stories of the day, as we're recording this,
- 5:15Speaker 3: the Lindsay Clancy trial, or she killed her kids. No,
- 5:19Speaker 3: I've been talking a lot about the experience of being
- 5:21Speaker 3: on a jury. You get into the room with the
- 5:24Speaker 3: other 11 people and you realize like three of them
- 5:28Speaker 3: are those people. And then you have to sort out
- 5:31Speaker 3: whether to take away somebody's, uh, their, their, Their freedom
- 5:36Speaker 3: or their money or their life or whatever, depending on
- 5:39Speaker 3: the nature of the trial. You're dealing with people that
- 5:42Speaker 3: illogical and prone to prejudice and leaping to conclusions and
- 5:46Speaker 3: coming at you with just moronic effing opinions. That was
- 5:50Speaker 3: the part I never anticipated being on a jury.
- 5:53Speaker 2: The morons.
- 5:56Speaker 4: How do you know they were dry humping? Is that
- 5:58Speaker 4: from personal experience?
- 5:59Speaker 2: It's just.
- 6:03Speaker 3: Monarchy now. We need to end democracy.
- 6:07Speaker 4: This post is judgmental. Keep being you and mind your
- 6:11Speaker 4: own business. Again, again, let's just reset this. That photo
- 6:17Speaker 4: was taken about 25 feet from a child's birthday party. Really? Yes.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Wow.
- 6:25Speaker 4: And I'm like, 89% of the comments on here are like,
- 6:30Speaker 4: where did you grow up?
- 6:31Speaker 1: You need to mind your own business.
- 6:32Speaker 2: This is totally fine.
- 6:34Speaker 1: And I'm like, what?
- 6:37Speaker 2: If my kid had been at a birthday party like that, especially, well,
- 6:40Speaker 2: at any age, really. But if my kid had been
- 6:42Speaker 2: at a birthday party like that, I'd have gone over
- 6:44Speaker 2: to that couple and said, hey. I get it, but
- 6:46Speaker 2: can you take it further over there, just right over
- 6:48Speaker 2: the hill or something?
- 6:50Speaker 1: And I know exactly where they are.
- 6:52Speaker 4: They could walk 50 yards to their left and be.
- 6:56Speaker 1: under a tree, up out of the way.
- 6:57Speaker 3: I'd have sprayed him with a hose like dogs in
- 6:59Speaker 3: a park. You're going to act like dogs in a park.
- 7:01Speaker 3: You're going to get treated like dogs in a park.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Just kick him in the ass as they're doing it.
- 7:04Speaker 2: Kick him in the ass. I'd have felt comfortable saying
- 7:06Speaker 2: that to the guy because he's in no position to
- 7:08Speaker 2: fight me. I know that for a fact.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I can tell by this.
- 7:10Speaker 2: He's not going to jump up and want to fight.
- 7:13Speaker 2: That's not the mode he's in.
- 7:15Speaker 4: I can just tell by this post that this was
- 7:17Speaker 4: made by a bitter old single woman who doesn't have
- 7:19Speaker 4: any kids, which she obviously does because it was her
- 7:23Speaker 4: kid's birthday party, which is why she posted it.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Wow. This is so troubling.
- 7:29Speaker 2: It really is.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Young kid. Oh, well, actually, no, that's in favor. People
- 7:34Speaker 4: are not very modest. Somebody is jealous. Don't be a boomer.
- 7:39Speaker 3: So while I appreciate your Abraham Lincoln smack, I would
- 7:42Speaker 3: be tempted to try to engage these people in a
- 7:45Speaker 3: non-threatening way and draw them out. Just out of curiosity,
- 7:48Speaker 3: is there any standard of conduct in a park near
- 7:52Speaker 3: kids that you would be okay with? Ooh, good one.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I mean, if they were actually having sexual intercourse, would
- 7:58Speaker 3: that be okay? Yes or no? If they were feeling
- 8:02Speaker 3: each other up hands under clothes, would that be okay?
- 8:04Speaker 3: Because you seem to be indicating that there are no standards.
- 8:08Speaker 2: How about completely naked doing the wheelbarrow?
- 8:11Speaker 1: I see people cuddling. That's educational.
- 8:14Speaker 3: Wow.
- 8:15Speaker 1: I see people cuddling. I don't see any lewd behavior.
- 8:18Speaker 2: It's an embrace.
- 8:20Speaker 3: This is a hug.
- 8:22Speaker 1: And again, I'm Abraham Lincoln.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Well, try that kind of hug at work and see
- 8:26Speaker 2: if you get fired.
- 8:29Speaker 3: How long did that loving embrace last, I wonder?
- 8:32Speaker 2: For me, about two minutes.
- 8:33Speaker 3: I mean, if it was momentary.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Oh, boy.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Don't worry, it won't take long.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I realize it's unpleasant. Good news, it won't last long.
- 8:42Speaker 1: This is my perspective as a parent.
- 8:44Speaker 4: People are free to disagree, but I don't think that
- 8:46Speaker 4: doing this in public near children is right, which is
- 8:49Speaker 4: the original poster. Well, it happened long enough for them
- 8:52Speaker 4: to see it, analyze it, and get a photo.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Right. Yeah.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Mind you, also, I cropped the photo when I sent
- 8:59Speaker 4: it to you guys, but in the background, there's also
- 9:01Speaker 4: a child like 10 feet from them.
- 9:03Speaker 3: As these two pervs DH in public.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Is there any homeless there?
- 9:08Speaker 1: They probably don't want to see that either.
- 9:10Speaker 4: Yes.
- 9:10Speaker 2: What about our homeless population?
- 9:12Speaker 3: Hey, excuse me. I'm trying to shoot up over here.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Two of you are acting like dogs in a park.
- 9:16Speaker 3: I don't respect the reality.
- 9:19Speaker 1: And somebody's all upset that you took a photo.
- 9:20Speaker 4: And I responded with, we're all on video all the time.
- 9:25Speaker 4: And if you don't want your photo or your video
- 9:28Speaker 4: taken in public, then don't do something that deems it.
- 9:31Speaker 2: If you're in a crowded park full of people and
- 9:33Speaker 2: you do that, lots of people are going to whip
- 9:34Speaker 2: out their phones.
- 9:35Speaker 1: No kidding. Thank you.
- 9:37Speaker 2: And say, geez, look what I just saw at the park.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Ugh. Again, to reflect yesterday's podcast, you need.
- 9:49Speaker 1: a background check to have a child.
- 9:52Speaker 4: Because some of these people are claiming to be parents
- 9:54Speaker 4: and the fact that they're saying, oh, this is fine.
- 9:57Speaker 1: They're just, they're hugging in public.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Again, I will. be uncomfortable getting into that mode that
- 10:03Speaker 2: close to a bunch of children. I would want to
- 10:05Speaker 2: take that somewhere else really quickly.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Yes.
- 10:08Speaker 2: We're starting to go down that road. Hey, let's go
- 10:10Speaker 2: over there to the car.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Sure. Just not next to the child's birthday party. Perv.
- 10:17Speaker 4: Wow. Wow.
- 10:19Speaker 2: I bet he wanted to go over and have a
- 10:21Speaker 2: juice box afterwards.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Stop it!
- 10:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Smoke a candy cigarette.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 10:30Speaker 2: You know, I don't think you can buy candy cigarettes
- 10:31Speaker 2: anymore in the United States.
- 10:32Speaker 3: Nope.
- 10:33Speaker 1: You can buy them online and have them shipped.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Henry got some somewhere in Canada, I think. He was
- 10:38Speaker 2: so happy with his candy cigarettes. Man, did he enjoy that.
- 10:41Speaker 2: He had all the fun I had as a kid,
- 10:42Speaker 2: pretending you're smoking.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Ah, good times.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Using it as a prop. You know what I think, Dad?
- 10:49Speaker 1: I used to smoke chopsticks. You know, pretend.
- 10:53Speaker 2: That's good to pretend. And a chocolate crack pipe.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Oh, good, Michael. Way to go. That's nice. Set the
- 10:59Speaker 1: bar high.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Well, I guess that's it.
