- 0:00Yes, So I have some news for you here on the Alex Garrett Podcast
- 0:24Network. Tomorrow. I am helping engineer the Joe Piscobo Show, So I'm
- 0:29setting up my set list for tomorrow. You know, I love to come
- 0:32out with some songs and of course smoky smoke on the water light, my
- 0:38fire, anything related to this wildfire nonsense. You might just hear it on
- 0:43the Joe Piscobo Show tomorrow morning six to ten am. Of course you're not
- 0:46listening for me, you're listening for Joe. I get it. But I
- 0:49have a few music musical ideas, so tune in for that. But seriously,
- 0:54I ventured out today with no mask because I wanted to face down this
- 0:59wildfire haze. And if I went out into blaze, so be it right.
- 1:03I could go on and on, But the pictures I took were not
- 1:07really filtered sapia at all. That was if you look at Alex g NYC
- 1:11one, that was the Brooklyn Bridge in that very moment, looking all like
- 1:17it was in the nineteen forties or fifties. Again, that's what it looked
- 1:19like in twenty twenty three. For real. My iPhone didn't filter it.
- 1:25I didn't put any filters in it in the pictures app I just posted as
- 1:29is and that was really, that was really what it looks like. You
- 1:34know, my dad told me about the dust Bowl in nineteen thirty, in
- 1:38the nineteen thirties, and because he was alive for that, Well, what
- 1:42am I gonna tell my future kids? Uh? Yeah, kids, We
- 1:46survived a whole ass wildfire haze after Matth in New York City that completely blanketed
- 1:52our town, made it hard to breathe, and oh, by the way,
- 1:55was never controlled. Where were the pictures of the wildfires being fought right
- 2:01now in Canada? Very few? In fact, hilariously and maybe sadly,
- 2:08Reuters could only come up with one photo and one video of one fire truck
- 2:14fighting one part of the wildfire in Quebec and Ontario. This isn't real life.
- 2:20This doesn't feel like real life. I mean, what is the idea?
- 2:23What is going on? How does the smoke go from all the way
- 2:29in Canada down to New York? It just nothing of this makes sense.
- 2:34We're really hoping for some wind to hit in. I don't know if we're
- 2:37gonna get some rain or not, but definitely some wind will be nice to
- 2:42blow away this thing. And the New York City mayor is saying, well,
- 2:49the advisories are here, the advisories are here. Quite frankly, air
- 2:53quality air advisories don't mean crap if nothing is contained in Canada. Frankly,
- 3:00the quality air advisories may be effective, but really, these guys in New
- 3:06York have no idea whether the wind's gonna push out this fog, this haze,
- 3:10this smoke on the water, see that. No one smoke on the
- 3:15water by deep color purple. Gotta love that song. You can't make it
- 3:20up. You cannot make up going to the East River like I did,
- 3:23and everything was literally yellow. It was like we took twenty twenty three pictures
- 3:29and put it in the nineteen forties nineteen fifties color. It was surreal and
- 3:37it was kind of scary, unfortunately, being down in that area in nine
- 3:42to eleven. By nine to eleven, you know, people are saying,
- 3:45this is like nine to eleven, and when you look at photos that day,
- 3:50in pictures that day, that smoke is horrendous. But I don't like
- 3:55those comparisons. I really don't. Thankfully, no one has died from these
- 4:01smoke inhalations. If you will. That's what it is. It's smoke inhalation.
- 4:08It's secondhand smoke in a sense that we're dealing with. What will come
- 4:14out of this, we don't know. But what I'm more scared about is
- 4:18that it hasn't been contained. What I'm more scared about is there's no answers.
- 4:23What I'm more scared about is that President Biden hasn't addressed the nation on
- 4:26how they're going to try and fight this thing. What I'm more scared about
- 4:30is that they don't care in Washington if our whole northeast is engulfed in this
- 4:38blanketed haze. That's what I'm scared about. And the question would be why.
- 4:46Already we've seen two games canceled Yankees game, and I believe the Philly's
- 4:55down in Philly had cancelations to the smoke overtake the stadiums doublehead or tomorrow.
- 5:01But I think, how do they know that there's gonna be a game on
- 5:04tomorrow? How do we know that smoke's not going to clear out again?
- 5:08They're saying eleven fifty nine Eastern Time Thursday. This thing could be for a
- 5:12while, and I don't want to wear my tinfoil hat. But I have
- 5:17to get this out there. What if this was just not contained on purpose?
- 5:25What if they're activists out there saying, let's show the world. Remember
- 5:29they've gone to really historic places and screwed it up, vandalized it in the
- 5:34name of climate activism. I don't know. After this pandemic, I don't
- 5:40rule anything out. I don't rule out the fact that lockdowns could be coming
- 5:44because of this, that mask mandates could be coming because of this, And
- 5:49I wouldn't rule out I know. Maybe I sound a bit like qan On.
- 5:54I don't know, but I wouldn't rule out. In a week or
- 5:58so, remember this happen and a week after President Buying fell at the graduation
- 6:03of the US Air Force. I want to say, after that fall,
- 6:10what if they said, oh, a wildfire has had smoke leak into the
- 6:16northeast has blanketed Washington. President Biden sick with pneumonia or something sick with I
- 6:30don't know, lung, something with the lungs. Because of this, they
- 6:38do not want president by in twenty twenty four, and they being external forces
- 6:43we can't even know about, or we don't even know about, So I
- 6:47would not be surprised if a week from now, a week from now,
- 6:54there's an announcement President Biden has become unable to continue his duties as president because
- 7:02of the smoking elation from the haze, and then they blame Canada, of
- 7:06course, but it has to make you wonder. I don't remember wildfires well.
- 7:15Firstly in Canada that never happened. Secondly, I've never remembered it ever
- 7:23traveling across the country from Cana from California. So why from this? What
- 7:30is the difference is? What is about this thing? Why are there no
- 7:34footages of airplanes dousing the wildfire like there normally is in California. We see
- 7:41that, we see the California wildfires be watered down by overhead airplanes and helicopters.
- 7:49I'm not seeing any footage of that. Are you in the Canadian wildfires?
- 7:56So what if this is a case of let's just let it happen and
- 7:59see what happened. A lot of people and myself included, hated when President
- 8:05Trump said let's let COVID wash over the entire country. Well, I would
- 8:11say, by in action and not pushing Trudeau to do anything about these fires,
- 8:18we're saying let's let this smoke wash over the cities and cause chaos.
- 8:26Oh, maybe we'll even stick migrants that have coming here illegally in the apartments
- 8:31and the private houses while we distract people with this haze. Maybe we are
- 8:35literally in a haze, and this is the real life metaphor to show us.
- 8:41And now that we're in a literal haze with no feeling, we're going
- 8:46to snap out of this. This is the perfect time to strike, to
- 8:52bring a lot more people across the border, to put people in Gracie Mansion,
- 8:56the People's home in New York City, and for other things to happen
- 9:01that we don't know about. But my number one question, and no one
- 9:07has asked this, have you heard about this? I haven't heard about this.
- 9:11No one's asked, Hey, Canada, why haven't you contained the fires?
- 9:16Why is only one footage of a fire truck, of a solo fire
- 9:20truck putting out one sector of this fire. And no, I don't want
- 9:28New York City to be the most polluted, but I hate the fact that
- 9:31now people are blaming us. Oh New York City is now the most polluted.
- 9:35Well, that's not our fault. Blame Canada. How about that?
- 9:41Yeah, I'm gonna keep going with these little digs. One other thing I
- 9:48will know this, the Canadian moose can handle these things better than our American
- 9:52moose. Okay, and I love Tim Horton's as much as the next person.
- 9:58But until Canada writes the ship on this and extinguishes the fires which may
- 10:03still be blazing, I don't know. I haven't learning the news updates on
- 10:05it. All I heard were stats that there were like two hundred ten fires,
- 10:11two hundred eleven fires a blaze right now. I know Joe Piscoball will
- 10:18talk about it tomorrow. I might jump out in the air with him.
- 10:20We'll have to see. But for now, for now, I also think
- 10:24this is God being very upset that someone named Billy Joel. You know that
- 10:33guy named Billy Joel is not going to be performing after twenty twenty four.
- 10:39But see, in my view, in my view, as as the great
- 10:46Billy Joel would sing time and time again. Please do not blame New York
- 10:52because quite frankly, no, we didn't. At least I hope Canada tries
- 11:18to fight it. But for those saying, oh, now New York's more
- 11:22polluted than India and China combined. We didn't start this, we didn't ask
- 11:26for this, we did not want any part of this. So do not
- 11:31look to us as the reason why Canada is up in flames right now.
- 11:37God dang it, God bless you. Stay safe. I didn't want to
- 11:41get to a couple of things before I wrap up. I'm just so fired
- 11:45up. But there's an article by David Knowles of Yahoo News, and what
- 11:54I will tell you is this, check your mental health. Did you know
- 11:58that on the West Coast wildfires cause forty five point three percent of reported anxiety
- 12:05due to the smoke. We're not used to this. Imagine how many people
- 12:09are freaked out now. So check your mental health during all of this.
- 12:15And I think most importantly, most importantly, if you're going to stay indoors,
- 12:22obviously, don't open up your windows, blast your air conditioners. And
- 12:31if you're inside, don't wear a mask. If you're outside, and I'm
- 12:35underlying conditions, I guess you'll have to. But I also think we can't
- 12:41be afraid of this either. On that note, I'm Alex Scarrett trying not
- 12:46to make sure this podcast goes up and flames, along with everything else in
- 12:50this world. Have a great night. Everybody
