- 3:39Speaker 5: the Business Incubator Program, where that is a six weeks
- 3:42Speaker 5: learning and development to grow your business. We just launched

- 4:19Speaker 5: did start with one of the local hospitality companies here
- 4:22Speaker 5: in Las Vegas, Nevada, and so I'm just truly excited
- 4:25Speaker 5: and I want to encourage you all to if you
- 4:29Speaker 5: don't have a business, think about it and then support
- 4:32Speaker 5: a local business.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Make sure you do that.
- 4:35Speaker 5: We know you hear all those things that's in the
- 4:38Speaker 5: media about supporterm but truly walk the walk and talk

- 5:48Speaker 2: started going. They come out and they have nice treats.
- 5:53Speaker 2: They have stuff that they give away for samples. Fifth year,
- 5:58Speaker 2: fifth year here. Okay, So I'm good at you. You
- 6:02Speaker 2: know about your business better than I do. So I
- 6:04Speaker 2: want you to introduce yourself and tell them what you
- 6:07Speaker 2: guys do and where they can locate.
- 6:09Speaker 4: You get evening. My name is Chef Walker.
- 6:12Speaker 7: I'm the executive chef and co owner of Sadie's Kitchen
- 6:15Speaker 7: and Catering.
- 6:16Speaker 4: We are a mobile catering service, full event and catering service.
- 6:21Speaker 7: My wife, Pamela is our administrator and event coordinator. My
- 6:26Speaker 7: son James is our my assistant chef, and my daughter
- 6:31Speaker 7: Francis is our prep cook. And we are a family owned,
- 6:35Speaker 7: family certified DPE company made in Nevada. We we make
- 6:41Speaker 7: our own seasoning, and we like to say we do
- 6:44Speaker 7: comfort food, not just soul food, because we have other
- 6:47Speaker 7: dishes on our menu that are known as comfort food
- 6:50Speaker 7: and other cultures. For example, we do Panzia and Lupia,
- 6:55Speaker 7: Panza and Lupia, So that's the UH that covers the
- 6:57Speaker 7: Philippines we do. We have several Tagan dishes on our menu,
- 7:01Speaker 7: including a vegan and vegetarian maasagna. I have a gentleman
- 7:06Speaker 7: that makes authentic Argentinian and panadas for us.
- 7:09Speaker 4: So so we have a.
- 7:10Speaker 7: Pretty collective menu and of course all the all the
- 7:14Speaker 7: soulful favorites a matter faction night, we have our barbecue,
- 7:18Speaker 7: chicken and mac and cheese, collar greens, ox tails, spare ribs,
- 7:24Speaker 7: beef ribs, so and it's it's all as all the
- 7:27Speaker 7: labor of love. My mother, who our company is named
- 7:30Speaker 7: for UH started started just feeding the neighborhood. It was
- 7:35Speaker 7: not uncommon for ten fifteen three people to be at
- 7:38Speaker 7: our child our house every Sunday after church for dinner.
- 7:41Speaker 7: So and that, but that was the vision God gave
- 7:44Speaker 7: her and them. He gave me to to expand it
- 7:47Speaker 7: and and take it to the masses. And we have
- 7:52Speaker 7: our own seasoning. We have a a salt free version
- 7:55Speaker 7: of our seasoning. We have a Regulacens version of our seasoning,
- 7:59Speaker 7: and by June first, the hot version of our season
- 8:04Speaker 7: will be out.
- 8:05Speaker 4: So okay, so we're excited.
- 8:08Speaker 3: Awesome, awesome, man, this is good.
- 8:10Speaker 2: This, this is I've been selfing this food for about
- 8:14Speaker 2: three years now so have not been disappointed and.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Then it is great? It is great.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Okay, Now can you tell them how to contact you?
- 8:23Speaker 2: Or you say you guys are a catering service, so
- 8:26Speaker 2: how can they get in contact and inquire your services.
- 8:32Speaker 7: Or our via our website w w W Sadies Kitchen
- 8:36Speaker 7: LC dot com or seven O two eight o eight
- 8:40Speaker 7: six nine two seven or our email Sadies Kitchen LC
- 8:45Speaker 7: dot com. We operate out of a full service of
- 8:49Speaker 7: commercial kitchen, so we're more mobile caterers. So basically that
- 8:53Speaker 7: means we are where you are, we come, we come
- 8:55Speaker 7: to you. Our kitchen is all forty two fifty five
- 8:59Speaker 7: Dean Martin Drive. We do pick up and deliveries on
- 9:02Speaker 7: the weekends, so Thursday, Friday, Saturday we do pick them
- 9:06Speaker 7: delivery our kitchen as well as our catering. We cater
- 9:10Speaker 7: twenty four to seven, so no parties too small. We
- 9:14Speaker 7: can do this party as small as five or as
- 9:16Speaker 7: big as five hundred and last year we were part
- 9:19Speaker 7: of the Super Bowl Business Connect so that was a
- 9:23Speaker 7: nice feather in our cab to put to put on
- 9:25Speaker 7: our resume to be one of the one hundred and
- 9:27Speaker 7: fifty companies here in Las Vegas that was selected to
- 9:30Speaker 7: be part of the NFL Business connect.
- 9:33Speaker 3: Man, that's good.
- 9:34Speaker 4: That's a really good look. Yes really and it's opened
- 9:37Speaker 4: a lot of doors for us.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Manz God, that was awesome.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Yes, all right, before before I let you go, we're
- 9:45Speaker 2: here at the LVBNM Business Mixer. Paul and Sylvestor they've
- 9:50Speaker 2: been grinding for years, for years, eighteen years, eighteen years
- 9:54Speaker 2: doing this, trying to get business owners together and inspire people,
- 9:59Speaker 2: just exposure. Say a few words about this mixing.
- 10:04Speaker 7: We started maybe maybe two months after we moved we
- 10:10Speaker 7: moved to Vegas. My wife met Paula. She said, you know,
- 10:13Speaker 7: come come check out our expo. We've been here ever since.
- 10:18Speaker 7: Paul and Sylvester have given us opportunity, not only to
- 10:21Speaker 7: collaborate with other chefs, other businesses. Is given us exposure.
- 10:27Speaker 7: We met David Eclips from the Harryet Airport that afford
- 10:33Speaker 7: us the opportunity to get our federal certification with that
- 10:36Speaker 7: FRED certification that afforded us to be part of the
- 10:40Speaker 7: NFL Business connect last year for for for Super Bowl
- 10:43Speaker 7: that was here in Las Vegas. That opportunity has afforded
- 10:46Speaker 7: us to not only be made in Nevada, but we
- 10:50Speaker 7: are in negotiations with Amazon Accelerator and we are working
- 10:59Speaker 7: on getting our seasoning nationally marketed. Mm and and so
- 11:05Speaker 7: we we are our season is trademarked now. So uh
- 11:09Speaker 7: and like I said, UH, the hot version of our
- 11:10Speaker 7: seasons could be coming out in in June. So we're
- 11:13Speaker 7: we're excited about what's happening for us and what God
- 11:17Speaker 7: is doing through us in the in our in our
- 11:20Speaker 7: in our time and space right now. We we really
- 11:23Speaker 7: really feel like this is this is uh our time
- 11:26Speaker 7: and our space to excel, launch and move forward. So
- 11:30Speaker 7: we're excited it it was it was a really good
- 11:34Speaker 7: move for us to move here from South California. We retired,
- 11:38Speaker 7: my wife and I retired in two thousand eighteen, moved here,
- 11:40Speaker 7: launched the company full time, and it's just been even
- 11:44Speaker 7: through COVID.
- 11:45Speaker 4: We opened fifty we opened our doors fifty days before
- 11:47Speaker 4: COVID started and having stopped since.
- 11:49Speaker 8: So come on.
- 11:50Speaker 3: So that's favor, that's God.
- 11:52Speaker 4: That the exactly, that's the favor of God.
- 11:54Speaker 3: Now, So how much do you want to.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Your s bottle of Seasons go for?
- 11:58Speaker 4: Well?
- 11:58Speaker 7: Tonight at the expo, the their uh ten dollars you
- 12:05Speaker 7: we s typically sell them one for fifteen, two for thirty,
- 12:07Speaker 7: but tonight we're doing a special presentation for the fort
- 12:14Speaker 7: at here at.
- 12:14Speaker 4: The x Bow and it's selling for ten dollars.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Okay, okay, nice, nice? And you're gonna be selling these online?
- 12:21Speaker 7: Yeah, we'll be selling them online, yes, yeah, okay okay.
- 12:24Speaker 7: And and the great thing with our salt free version,
- 12:28Speaker 7: a lot of our clients, including my oldest daughter, have
- 12:31Speaker 7: been letting us, making us aware of the fact that
- 12:33Speaker 7: with other things they're doing in their diet using our
- 12:36Speaker 7: soft free seasons, having them lower blood pressure. So it's
- 12:38Speaker 7: just blessings on top of blessings.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Man, Come on, come on, man, man, I see God
- 12:44Speaker 2: all over that brother.
- 12:45Speaker 3: That's awesome, man, it is.
- 12:46Speaker 2: And you know, I'm glad I came to talk to
- 12:49Speaker 2: you to learn more about it because I didn't know
- 12:52Speaker 2: to what extent that you guys have been grinding you
- 12:55Speaker 2: know what I mean. I know y'all had your own
- 12:57Speaker 2: seasoning and and and and all that, you know what
- 13:00Speaker 2: I mean. So this is great, and I definitely wanna
- 13:03Speaker 2: connect with you down the road and see what else
- 13:08Speaker 2: you guys are doing and see if we can collabse somehow,
- 13:10Speaker 2: you know what I mean, and then you don't help
- 13:12Speaker 2: each other network exactly networking.
- 13:14Speaker 4: We're all about networking.
- 13:16Speaker 7: We work with a lot of nonprofits, a lot of
- 13:19Speaker 7: connety agencies. We donated our time just uh, some of
- 13:22Speaker 7: the senior facilities around town as well as cater so
- 13:26Speaker 7: we we've done extensive work with the City of Las Vegas,
- 13:30Speaker 7: the City of North Las Vegas, the especially the Parks
- 13:33Speaker 7: and Recreations Department.
- 13:35Speaker 4: This is a lot.
- 13:36Speaker 7: This past Christmas was our third year catering Commissioner Gibson's
- 13:41Speaker 7: Snowball Express over Paradise Center.
- 13:43Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 13:44Speaker 7: Last year we probably had served so closer to four
- 13:48Speaker 7: hundred people. This year it was almost five hundred. So yeah,
- 13:52Speaker 7: So it's it's it's been, it's been, and it all
- 13:55Speaker 7: started right here at the LVB NM Network mixer.
- 13:59Speaker 2: For us phrase God, Praise God. Well, I'm excited to
- 14:03Speaker 2: hear another success story from the effort and the work
- 14:07Speaker 2: that they've been doing here at the mixer.
- 14:09Speaker 3: And it's great. It's great.
- 14:11Speaker 7: At June when we launch our hot Seasoning. We're gonna
- 14:16Speaker 7: do a special cooking demonstration and premiere it here at
- 14:19Speaker 7: the Las Vegas Business Network mixer in June.
- 14:22Speaker 3: Okay, so you hear that June.
- 14:24Speaker 2: You guys got to make sure if you're listening to
- 14:27Speaker 2: this at the time we're talking where just this is

- 14:48Speaker 2: their brand. And so I'm gonna keep tabs on them.

- 19:08Speaker 6: and airport from every week.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Big yep, you have anything for like media, radio podcasts that.
- 19:20Speaker 6: We unfortunately, we have our media and it's a separate
- 19:26Speaker 6: division just for that and they take here that.
- 19:28Speaker 1: However, there are other agencies that.
- 19:33Speaker 6: May need your services, local tenants that are in the airport, airlines.
- 19:38Speaker 6: I mean I never say no because someone or some
- 19:45Speaker 6: agency may.

- 40:14Speaker 6: what makes you better than me?
- 40:18Speaker 1: Why would they choose you?
- 40:20Speaker 4: Then me.
- 40:23Speaker 6: Just saying, omkay, folks, it was a pleasure that's always
- 40:28Speaker 6: talking to me and a whole a whole week that
- 40:32Speaker 6: we've provided some information uh for you folks to uh

- 40:47Speaker 2: and this is the LVN Business Mixer. And like I
- 40:52Speaker 2: told you, I always deliver on my promise. There's some
- 40:55Speaker 2: amazing people out here in the community doing some amazing
- 40:59Speaker 2: things and sitting in front of me, I have missed
- 41:03Speaker 2: Cindy Fox and she's doing some amazing things with the
- 41:07Speaker 2: ballet and stuff like that here in the community.
- 41:10Speaker 3: I'm gonna let.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Her talk to you and tell you what she's got
- 41:14Speaker 2: going and what she's involved in. But first, Cidy, I'm
- 41:17Speaker 2: gonna ask you about this business mixer.
- 41:20Speaker 3: Tell people your.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Opinion about it and what do they miss when they
- 41:25Speaker 2: don't come.
- 41:27Speaker 15: Oh wow, I love that question so much. I have
- 41:31Speaker 15: been coming to these mixers for a long time. I
- 41:34Speaker 15: know Paula and Sylvester for over nineteen years. They've been
- 41:39Speaker 15: working the community and providing all of these wonderful opportunities
- 41:43Speaker 15: for all of us to really help grow our businesses.
- 41:49Speaker 15: They are amazing and give an opportunity to support and
- 41:54Speaker 15: to be part of this remarkable event.
- 41:57Speaker 2: Absolutely, yes, yes, they have a It's like they're a
- 42:02Speaker 2: jewel here at the Santa Fe Hotel.
- 42:04Speaker 1: You know what I mean.
- 42:05Speaker 2: They're amazing. Okay, all right, So you're involved with the
- 42:09Speaker 2: ballet here and I actually my family and I we
- 42:12Speaker 2: went to one. You invited us out to one, and
- 42:15Speaker 2: I tell you what I believe. Yeah, that was my
- 42:19Speaker 2: first experience actually with the ballet. And we went to
- 42:21Speaker 2: the Smith Center, so very nice facility, very nice place.
- 42:26Speaker 3: So tell us more about what you do.
- 42:28Speaker 15: I love I love to do that, so I have
- 42:32Speaker 15: had the absolute It's heavenly I get to work for
- 42:36Speaker 15: Nevada Ballet Theater, which is going into its fifty fourth
- 42:41Speaker 15: season here in Las Vegas. It is truly nothing short
- 42:45Speaker 15: of miraculous to have a nonprofit performing arts organization that
- 42:50Speaker 15: has reached that birthday and continues to grow and serve
- 42:56Speaker 15: our community with this.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Gorgeous art form.
- 42:59Speaker 15: And we've got such incredible productions in this year our
- 43:03Speaker 15: season finale at the Smith Center that you had an
- 43:07Speaker 15: opportunity to enjoy is Peter Pan amazing, awesome for the
- 43:13Speaker 15: whole family. And what's really cool about this one is
- 43:17Speaker 15: that it's a collaboration between three different ballet companies that
- 43:22Speaker 15: literally got Emma Bailey, who is the creator of the
- 43:26Speaker 15: Broadway hit six, and she created the costumes and all
- 43:32Speaker 15: of the sets. So one day I come into the
- 43:34Speaker 15: ballet and there are these big yellow eyeballs that are
- 43:38Speaker 15: staring at me, and I was like, whoa, it's a
- 43:41Speaker 15: twenty four foot long crocodile. And in our warehouse there's
- 43:46Speaker 15: a ship with a huge sail, and there are the
- 43:50Speaker 15: costumes for Captain Hook and Wendy and Peter Pan and
- 43:57Speaker 15: then layered on all of that, of course, is the music,
- 44:00Speaker 15: the athleticism of the dancers. I it's just unbelievable. If
- 44:05Speaker 15: I could give everyone the experience of coming to the ballet,
- 44:08Speaker 15: that's my dream come true. It's bringing those moments of
- 44:12Speaker 15: magic to our community. And we're we'll be doing this
- 44:16Speaker 15: for about two weekends. It's from April the nineteenth through
- 44:22Speaker 15: April the twenty seventh, and would love everyone to come
- 44:27Speaker 15: out and visit Nevada Bala dot org and get your tickets.
- 44:33Speaker 2: All right, all right, now, that is what I was
- 44:36Speaker 2: gonna ask you, is how can people get their tickets?
- 44:39Speaker 4: So?
- 44:39Speaker 2: Hey, I like that you want to step ahead of me.
- 44:41Speaker 2: I appreciate that. So they go there, they get their
- 44:44Speaker 2: tickets and then they're good to go.
- 44:46Speaker 3: They just come to the facility and enjoy it. And
- 44:49Speaker 3: you're only doing it for two weekends.
- 44:50Speaker 2: You're saying, okay, and how often do you do this?
- 44:55Speaker 3: Like once twice a year?
- 44:57Speaker 15: Or great question. Our season typically runs from October through May,
- 45:04Speaker 15: and in addition to our fall production, and of course
- 45:08Speaker 15: the centerpiece of our season is the Nutcracker and our
- 45:12Speaker 15: incredible mixed rep program and our season finale, we also
- 45:15Speaker 15: have a school of Nevada La Theater and that has
- 45:19Speaker 15: a bunch of concerts as well that are just knock
- 45:23Speaker 15: your socks off, wow wow, really fun.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Okay, So, should people try to contact you at all
- 45:31Speaker 2: or you just want them to go to the website.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Let's say, if people wanted to know more about what
- 45:37Speaker 2: you're doing, or maybe if they can connect with you
- 45:40Speaker 2: and you can help them enroll in the school or
- 45:43Speaker 2: something like that, do you want that or do you
- 45:46Speaker 2: just want them to go to the website.
- 45:48Speaker 15: Absolutely, they're welcome to call our front desk which is
- 45:53Speaker 15: seven two two four three two six two three, or
- 45:57Speaker 15: visit our website and learn we're about Nevada La dot org.
- 46:02Speaker 15: It's just an incredible, wonderful arts institution here in Las Vegas,
- 46:08Speaker 15: and I'm so proud of them.
- 46:10Speaker 3: Nice.
- 46:10Speaker 2: Nice, And yeah, we're waiting for our second invite.
- 46:15Speaker 3: Because what was the first one? The first one was
- 46:18Speaker 3: the one we went to.
- 46:20Speaker 4: It was.
- 46:22Speaker 3: It kind of had like a like a dark light
- 46:26Speaker 3: story to it.
- 46:27Speaker 2: I can't remember the Do you remember the name of
- 46:29Speaker 2: that one we went to?
- 46:31Speaker 15: We've done so many, so many amazing things. Yeah, was it?
- 46:36Speaker 15: I mean it could have been Dracula it could have
- 46:39Speaker 15: been Cinderella, Carmina Burana, I don't I don't remember what
- 46:46Speaker 15: been the Nutcracker.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Maybe yeah, maybe the Nutcracker. Yeah yeah, yeah. But we
- 46:55Speaker 3: enjoyed it.
- 46:56Speaker 2: We enjoyed it, so thank you so much. And I
- 47:00Speaker 2: know we're busy here at the mixer, and I know
- 47:02Speaker 2: you're a busy man in your table, so I'm going to.
- 47:05Speaker 3: Let you get back to what you're doing.
- 47:07Speaker 2: And if you have any final words you want to
- 47:09Speaker 2: say to the audience, you know you say it, damn.
- 47:12Speaker 15: So the first week I was at the ballet, I
- 47:15Speaker 15: had a wonderful gentleman who was hooking up my computer
- 47:19Speaker 15: and I asked him, didn't I see you in the studio?
- 47:22Speaker 15: He said, yeah, I danced professionally. And I asked him
- 47:26Speaker 15: a question, which was, well, why do you dance professionally
- 47:30Speaker 15: when you could also do it? And he said something
- 47:33Speaker 15: that really I still carry with me wherever I go,
- 47:37Speaker 15: and he said, time is short, life is precious. What
- 47:40Speaker 15: better way to use my gifts than to bring extraordinary
- 47:43Speaker 15: moments into everyday lives? And so I really would love
- 47:49Speaker 15: you all to come to a ballet, even if you've
- 47:53Speaker 15: never been to one before. It is something very special
- 47:58Speaker 15: to see the athleticism, the artistic layers, from the sets
- 48:03Speaker 15: to the costumes, to the physical to the musical. It's
- 48:07Speaker 15: something that's very very special and literally is rooted right
- 48:11Speaker 15: here in Las Vegas. I'll see at the ballet.
- 48:16Speaker 3: That was awesome. That was awesome.
- 48:19Speaker 2: Yes, let's see her at the ballet. I really want
- 48:24Speaker 2: to encourage you guys. Like I said, she blessed our family.
- 48:29Speaker 2: So I've experienced it and it is a rememberable moment.
- 48:34Speaker 2: It is so thank you so much, and yes, let's
- 48:38Speaker 2: let's let's meet at the ballet. All right, We'll have
- 48:43Speaker 2: a great rest of your evening. Thank you so much,
- 48:46Speaker 2: thank you. All right, all right, Well, we had a
- 48:52Speaker 2: great time. We had some great information, great information about

- 49:04Speaker 2: We've talked to the ballet. We've talked about different minority
- 49:10Speaker 2: companies and different events, and so we had a great
