- 0:19Speaker 1: Return to Glory podcast, Good Morning, Happy Monday, September twenty
- 0:25Speaker 1: second post Michigan.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Under Zarberniki, Austin.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Rose, Dakota Free Tag Oscars fall to three and one
- 0:36Speaker 1: on the year, lose by three to the Wolverines in Lincoln.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Gut thoughts, go.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Dak could have won? I think offensively. I mean, we'll
- 0:58Speaker 3: get into what mainly happened, but.
- 1:02Speaker 2: I just want your gut overall thoughts.
- 1:06Speaker 3: If it was a good loss, I'd say that was
- 1:07Speaker 3: a good loss. That's that's my gut thought right there.
- 1:14Speaker 4: Well, I got reaction Saturday. Was Michigan's way better than us?
- 1:21Speaker 4: The score does not reflect how the game went.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Okay, I've said it several times too.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I don't. This is a new weird feeling for me.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Like and maybe it's because, like you said, Austin, we
- 1:38Speaker 1: lost by three, but it wasn't lost by three really
- 1:42Speaker 1: because we were better.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Than them and just lost. I agree. I kind of
- 1:48Speaker 2: felt like maybe Michigan player for player was a lot
- 1:55Speaker 2: better than us, which.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Didn't really think that going in. I don't think a
- 2:01Speaker 1: lot of people did. But yeah, I'm I I lean
- 2:06Speaker 1: that way more. But what what's What's why I feel
- 2:10Speaker 1: so weird about the game is because I also heard
- 2:12Speaker 1: people think the opposite, which is kind of a dak
- 2:16Speaker 1: You mentioned that should have won the game. I or
- 2:20Speaker 1: leaving the stadium, people thought, oh, we are better than them.
- 2:23Speaker 1: So it it's like a really weird I don't know,
- 2:29Speaker 1: just I agree should have It's a new one.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Say, I agree we should have won the game, but
- 2:34Speaker 4: like that reaction was like, michig better than.
- 2:36Speaker 2: This, Yeah, And I'm like, if we've played them ten times, I.
- 2:41Speaker 1: My mind is like, we probably lose six or seven
- 2:43Speaker 1: of those ten times still and this was just one
- 2:46Speaker 1: of them. But at the same time, I don't know,
- 2:51Speaker 1: like even here in Biff Pog's common at halftime, that
- 2:56Speaker 1: kind of has been circulating on We're physically kicking the snow.
- 3:00Speaker 2: On out of them. I mean that is kind of
- 3:02Speaker 2: what happened, and I kind of thought that could happen.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I've been all over the place with this one. I've been.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Seeing all sides of the of the spectrum here. I'm
- 3:16Speaker 1: I wouldn't say necessarily pissed, or wouldn't say I'm really
- 3:20Speaker 1: necessarily disappointed. I'm obviously not happy. It's just it's just
- 3:27Speaker 1: how the game went.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I guess, and.
- 3:32Speaker 1: I've heard just varying, varying levels of responses from people
- 3:36Speaker 1: on this game. Austin, I know you and I both
- 3:41Speaker 1: didn't think we'd probably win this game. I think I
- 3:45Speaker 1: had a Michigan ten point win in my prediction. I
- 3:49Speaker 1: just I going into the year, I thought, you know,
- 3:51Speaker 1: maybe sixty forty chances of winning or lose winning this game.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Not not winning this game, I guess. So, I don't know. Overall,
- 4:00Speaker 2: it's what you guys kind of said. It's it's weird,
- 4:03Speaker 2: it's all over the place.
- 4:11Speaker 4: I guess. Yeah, I agree. You look at how the
- 4:14Speaker 4: game chick out, and it felt like Michion lost the game,
- 4:20Speaker 4: but they won the game, like, you know, like they
- 4:22Speaker 4: if we have won the game would be like win
- 4:24Speaker 4: the game, lost the game. I mean, they still ended
- 4:28Speaker 4: up winning as a score. I'd feel this closer than
- 4:33Speaker 4: like the whole fourth quarter, I never thought we were
- 4:35Speaker 4: gonna win. We're down ten, yeah, and the third quarter
- 4:39Speaker 4: we didn't move the ball at all. Our first first
- 4:41Speaker 4: down was because of a taunting penalty. After a third
- 4:44Speaker 4: and like nineteen you know, it wasn't I wasn't thing crazy.
- 4:50Speaker 4: I think Bryce Underwood is not as good as everyone
- 4:52Speaker 4: says he is. I think he was the whole reason.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Like he was the reason our defense. That's it. I go.
- 5:00Speaker 4: They scored thirty points, and I feel like our defense
- 5:02Speaker 4: played better than we thought I was going to play.
- 5:05Speaker 4: They had one hundred and seventy one rushing yards on
- 5:08Speaker 4: three plays.
- 5:11Speaker 2: You know, it's so weird, it's it's just a weird.
- 5:15Speaker 3: It's a weird.
- 5:17Speaker 4: I Yeah.
- 5:19Speaker 3: The main the main thing that that has to make
- 5:21Speaker 3: you mad is we all knew what they were trying
- 5:23Speaker 3: to do going in the game, and they did. They
- 5:26Speaker 3: did what they wanted to do, which is run the
- 5:28Speaker 3: ball and not.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Really though they had three big plays. You take away
- 5:33Speaker 4: those three plays and all of a sudden, it's like,
- 5:35Speaker 4: well really they had, you know, twenty eight carries for
- 5:39Speaker 4: one hundred and some yards.
- 5:41Speaker 3: You know, yeah, but those holes on those three big
- 5:43Speaker 3: plays were massive.
- 5:45Speaker 1: And that's and that's the point. Like I Austin, I've
- 5:48Speaker 1: bought the same thing. Take away those three big plays.
- 5:51Speaker 1: I mean, Iowa kind of same thing.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Last year.
- 5:53Speaker 1: They had not one full plays, but three. Yes, take
- 5:58Speaker 1: them away, but yes they happened.
- 6:01Speaker 4: But they but we played better than I thought we
- 6:03Speaker 4: were going.
- 6:03Speaker 1: To I guess yeah, But I thought, as far as Dak,
- 6:11Speaker 1: You're right the stat line, if we were to lose
- 6:15Speaker 1: that game, I didn't want the stat line to look
- 6:17Speaker 1: like that. I wanted to look like Bryce Underwood throwing
- 6:20Speaker 1: for three hundred some yards.
- 6:22Speaker 2: That didn't happen. So did did our did our defensive
- 6:30Speaker 2: upfront played better than probably expected? Yeah?
- 6:35Speaker 4: But also not. He missed a lot of open passes and.
- 6:41Speaker 1: And I agree Underwood's not a Heisman winner this year.
- 6:46Speaker 1: But at the same time, I've heard varying things about
- 6:48Speaker 1: him like first round draft pick or NFL draft pick
- 6:53Speaker 1: this year. Like I think what I was impressed by
- 6:57Speaker 1: the most, and whether this is credit to him or
- 7:00Speaker 1: his credit to Nebraska.
- 7:02Speaker 2: We did not.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Rattle him very well, and that's impressive for a freshman
- 7:10Speaker 1: quarterback on the road in that kind of environment. He
- 7:14Speaker 1: obviously has some talent. He's very poised. Is he the
- 7:20Speaker 1: complete package of everything you want? I wouldn't say that.
- 7:22Speaker 1: He is definitely a pretty decent runner, and he's fast.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I've always said, though, you when you're picking quarterbacks, you're
- 7:32Speaker 1: not going to find Josh Allen's everywhere where. Guys that
- 7:37Speaker 1: can run the ball and are very very strong passing like.
- 7:42Speaker 2: He's not.
- 7:42Speaker 1: He's a very strong runner and he's pretty solid passing like,
- 7:46Speaker 1: but he's not everything that is perfect, which some people
- 7:49Speaker 1: have been describing him that way. You're you're not going
- 7:51Speaker 1: to find those guys out there that's a perfect runner,
- 7:54Speaker 1: perfect passer.
- 7:54Speaker 2: No, you're not going to have it. Dylan's the opposite.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Where Dylan's got a very strong arm is very accurate.
- 8:00Speaker 4: So the only thing really is Dylan looked great, he
- 8:04Speaker 4: looked mobile in the pocket.
- 8:08Speaker 1: This I yeah, I mean this is our first big
- 8:11Speaker 1: content podcast here that we're doing over the last few
- 8:15Speaker 1: weeks anyways, where there's a lot to talk about, and
- 8:20Speaker 1: so yeah, I talking about the Bryce versus Dylan comparison.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I was asking a lot of people after the game too,
- 8:31Speaker 1: if you could take them, just swap them our current.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Teams right now and swap them. You know who who
- 8:36Speaker 2: would you rather have? Yeah, So it's it's it's to me,
- 8:45Speaker 2: it's a it's a the discussion of styles. I think
- 8:53Speaker 2: our team is built around Dylan right now. So if
- 8:56Speaker 2: you're asking me tomorrow flip and make a trade, I'm
- 8:59Speaker 2: still I keeping Dylan.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I just appreciate the way that quarterbacks like Bryce under
- 9:06Speaker 1: a play because of their mobile ability.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I mean, that's just that's a that's the belief thing
- 9:10Speaker 2: in my mind. Dylan obviously is not a runner, and
- 9:14Speaker 2: and that's fine, and I'm not bashing Dylan. It's just a.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I Michigan style is how I think winning football should
- 9:23Speaker 1: be played, like how how they won, and we're obviously
- 9:29Speaker 1: not there. I'm not saying our way can't win, but
- 9:33Speaker 1: it's that that's the hard part. Like I Bryce, Bryce
- 9:39Speaker 1: is my kind of quarterback, if that makes sense.
- 9:42Speaker 2: He's he's he is.
- 9:43Speaker 4: What I have traditional Husker quarterback, right, He's.
- 9:47Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that's just kind of when I watch
- 9:49Speaker 1: football games, I like, those are the guys that I
- 9:51Speaker 1: think provide the most successful teams.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Like That's that's what I think.
- 9:54Speaker 1: And I don't know that Bryce outperformed Dylan and by
- 9:57Speaker 1: any means in this game either, and who knows where
- 10:00Speaker 1: their crews are going to take him, But that's just
- 10:03Speaker 1: that's my take on it.
- 10:05Speaker 3: He plays kind of like Tommy Armstrong.
- 10:06Speaker 4: A little bit.
- 10:08Speaker 2: He's a lot better runner than Tommy was.
- 10:11Speaker 3: Yeah, not now a good passed.
- 10:15Speaker 1: And I wouldn't I'm not gonna say he's not a
- 10:16Speaker 1: good passer either. Second, our secondary is pretty strong. And
- 10:21Speaker 1: and and what's funny is we can flip and talk
- 10:25Speaker 1: about Dylan. I I've heard so many people bashed Dylan,
- 10:28Speaker 1: how bad of a game Dylan had, And I'm like,
- 10:31Speaker 1: I don't think you had.
- 10:34Speaker 2: I'm with you, Like he he played so well. He
- 10:38Speaker 2: kept us in that game.
- 10:41Speaker 4: He had a really bad interception and there was maybe
- 10:43Speaker 4: I remember one other pass where I was like, oh,
- 10:45Speaker 4: that should have been that should have been intercepted.
- 10:49Speaker 1: And I wouldn't even say it was just an interception.
- 10:51Speaker 1: It was it was a great play by that corner.
- 10:55Speaker 1: And it wasn't even the corner that took it. It
- 10:57Speaker 1: just bounced right well into the other So it wasn't
- 11:00Speaker 1: like it was a bad interception. And obviously no interception
- 11:02Speaker 1: is good, but it wasn't like a bad pass.
- 11:05Speaker 2: It was it was a good play by the corner
- 11:07Speaker 2: and a misread it. Bilt guys, Dylan is a damn
- 11:13Speaker 2: good quarterback.
- 11:14Speaker 1: And I've heard people also talking about TJ Latife like.
- 11:18Speaker 4: It like.
- 11:20Speaker 1: We we if this is how we're going to play,
- 11:23Speaker 1: Like this is the style we're playing, this is the
- 11:26Speaker 1: plan that we put in this is Houlgerson, like Dylan
- 11:29Speaker 1: Ryola is a freaking damn good quarterback.
- 11:32Speaker 4: I don't saying that one more than people. What do
- 11:34Speaker 4: you want from him? I mean he would that he's
- 11:37Speaker 4: seventy five, not quite a se percent completion, three over
- 11:40Speaker 4: three hundred yards, three touchdowns in one reception.
- 11:43Speaker 1: I think the casual fan that doesn't watch much football
- 11:48Speaker 1: outside of Nebraska, which there's a lot of people out
- 11:51Speaker 1: there that just watch Husker games, don't watch like some people.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I think of unrealistic expectations that quarterbacks and to make
- 11:58Speaker 1: every pass on time, Like.
- 12:03Speaker 2: I don't know what the are that's not.
- 12:06Speaker 4: They probably watched NFL football in Husker football. Yeah, it's
- 12:09Speaker 4: not a quarterback. And he was under pressure like the
- 12:15Speaker 4: whole game. I mean Drive one, he was just squirting
- 12:19Speaker 4: around in the pocket the whole time, like it was.
- 12:23Speaker 4: I was really impressed.
- 12:25Speaker 3: That's that's right there. Why I was saying, you get
- 12:27Speaker 3: a good game because the old line. I mean, this
- 12:30Speaker 3: is what I'm most mad about. The on line played horrible.
- 12:34Speaker 3: He had no time at all, like not once he
- 12:36Speaker 3: drop back and have a clean pot. I mean there
- 12:39Speaker 3: probably was a couple, but I can't remember anytime he
- 12:41Speaker 3: pocket like he was just running around and in making
- 12:45Speaker 3: plays that were unscripted.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I seen a few different stats. The most recent one,
- 12:51Speaker 1: maybe the most reliable one that I think is that
- 12:54Speaker 1: on the forty nine drop backs that he had in
- 12:57Speaker 1: the game, he was pressured or hurried whatever that status
- 13:00Speaker 1: on twenty.
- 13:01Speaker 3: Four of them.
- 13:02Speaker 2: But they didn't think about that, dropping back to past
- 13:07Speaker 2: every other time you're getting pressure and to still want
- 13:13Speaker 2: to put up the numbers that you had. And the
- 13:16Speaker 2: other other negative thing everyone said that he held on
- 13:19Speaker 2: the ball too long. Well, good god, people like you're
- 13:24Speaker 2: getting pressured half the time.
- 13:28Speaker 1: It's not like a lot of them were really coverage sacks.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Maybe are there a couple, Yeah, yeah, there's probably a
- 13:33Speaker 1: couple here and there that happened. I get it, but.
- 13:36Speaker 2: It's Dylan Royola. I take styles out of it. Dylan's
- 13:44Speaker 2: a damn good quarterback.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And we're like, I don't people's brains are just so
- 13:48Speaker 1: weird how they work and how they just flip script
- 13:50Speaker 1: just complete one eighty. We knew we were going to
- 13:54Speaker 1: learn a lot from this game, right, And I don't
- 13:58Speaker 1: think I don't think moved anywhere arrowed down at all
- 14:04Speaker 1: after this game, and I would almost argue moving Era
- 14:06Speaker 1: up because he kept us in this game as much
- 14:08Speaker 1: as he could have. He really really did up.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Again. People remember two years ago when they had three
- 14:17Speaker 3: monster quarter back.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Okay, let's take that out. That was that was anominally
- 14:22Speaker 2: bad layer.
- 14:22Speaker 1: But even just look at some of the last fifteen
- 14:25Speaker 1: years of quarterbacks that we've had again, style removed. Dylan's
- 14:29Speaker 1: the best passer that we've had in a long time.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I would say, is the most poised. You feel the
- 14:34Speaker 1: most comfortable back there when he's when he's got the ball.
- 14:40Speaker 2: So again, what do you want?
- 14:43Speaker 1: People say, well, we want to we want Latif. Okay,
- 14:45Speaker 1: well that's a different style, Like that's that's that. Or
- 14:48Speaker 1: you want Latif where you want you know what? Like
- 14:52Speaker 1: I'm I'm kind of down that path. But that's not
- 14:54Speaker 1: the style we're playing with. That's not the players we
- 14:56Speaker 1: have built. Okay, it's really crazy different.
- 15:00Speaker 4: We scored twenty seven points. I mean, we could talk
- 15:05Speaker 4: about the going for fourth and one, but in the
- 15:09Speaker 4: missfield goal and then we had the touchdown called back
- 15:13Speaker 4: because one hundred stepped out of bounds. I hear. This
- 15:18Speaker 4: game was very confusing because it's like, yes, we did
- 15:21Speaker 4: not score enough points, but we did score twenty seven points,
- 15:25Speaker 4: which should be enough to should be enough to win.
- 15:27Speaker 4: You have some games not against Michigan, but we left
- 15:32Speaker 4: I don't know, ten points on the board.
- 15:36Speaker 1: Yeah, it's so weird because you look at it from
- 15:39Speaker 1: that angle. Well, then you look at it as thank
- 15:41Speaker 1: you Michigan for the taunting and thank you Michigan for
- 15:44Speaker 1: being idiots coaching at the end of the half and
- 15:46Speaker 1: giving us a chance. Well, I guess we executed it,
- 15:48Speaker 1: so props to us there too. But like that shouldn't happen.
- 15:51Speaker 2: So we took that.
- 15:52Speaker 4: We took that time out. We didn't let the clock
- 15:55Speaker 4: run out. We took the time out until it did
- 15:56Speaker 4: the hail Mary, you know it worked out. But I agree.
- 16:00Speaker 4: It's like the whole first half. I was like, we
- 16:01Speaker 4: are getting outplayed, except where we moved the ball. The
- 16:03Speaker 4: first two drives well incredibly.
- 16:07Speaker 2: Well we were getting seven yards of pop on runs.
- 16:10Speaker 4: And then we didn't and then we came back with nothing.
- 16:12Speaker 4: It's like, okay, well we got to the end zone.
- 16:14Speaker 4: I wouldn't have gone for a fourth and one. I
- 16:16Speaker 4: would have taken the points. I understand why you did it,
- 16:19Speaker 4: but because this is what the third game in Arrow,
- 16:21Speaker 4: we went for an a fourth and one within the
- 16:23Speaker 4: five yard line, didn't get points. I will just kick
- 16:27Speaker 4: the field goal.
- 16:28Speaker 1: But I'm guessing the numbers or the data says to
- 16:32Speaker 1: go for just in general, right, not not looking at
- 16:35Speaker 1: our data in the football world.
- 16:39Speaker 2: You know, the question there would too is go back
- 16:41Speaker 2: to Plafe when in the second and three, right, I
- 16:44Speaker 2: would have run that one there, and you can nit
- 16:47Speaker 2: pick play calls here there you can't.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I thought, overall data, especially the first couple of drives,
- 16:52Speaker 1: like you mentioned, it was very creative. I think we
- 16:54Speaker 1: had some stuff, especially some motion early on that cotton
- 16:57Speaker 1: Michigan off guard and helped us on offense.
- 17:01Speaker 4: Until we got to the third quarter and all of
- 17:03Speaker 4: a sudden we couldn't do anything.
- 17:04Speaker 1: Yeah, And I thought, then I credit Michigan for adjusting
- 17:07Speaker 1: or discredit us for not adjusting and having more stuff
- 17:10Speaker 1: in our bags. I thought that overall, I don't know
- 17:16Speaker 1: it is we we couldn't once that first couple of drives.
- 17:18Speaker 1: We just struggled to run the ball. But but I
- 17:21Speaker 1: also don't know that that's our strength. And again I
- 17:24Speaker 1: keep going back to styles. I we knew our We
- 17:28Speaker 1: know our strengths passing the ball and our receivers this year,
- 17:30Speaker 1: whether you like it or not, that's that's our strength
- 17:33Speaker 1: right now.
- 17:34Speaker 2: And we controlled the time of possession.
- 17:37Speaker 1: We did we we kicked their button time possession, But
- 17:41Speaker 1: absent of putting up the rushings that sustaining drives, where
- 17:46Speaker 1: what does that leave you?
- 17:47Speaker 2: I that's so it's so confusing, it's it was such
- 17:50Speaker 2: a weird, weird outcome.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I do you think Riley did play well? I
- 18:01Speaker 3: think the pressure and the third quarter got into him though,
- 18:03Speaker 3: because he was missing past his name at the third,
- 18:07Speaker 3: third and fourth quarter, which but how could he not
- 18:09Speaker 3: when you're getting hit every time you fit? Would you
- 18:11Speaker 3: say fifty percent of the time he dropped back.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Pressure? I'm not sure exactly how that how that status calculated?
- 18:18Speaker 2: What what pressure means?
- 18:21Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 18:21Speaker 3: I mean who was he's getting Who was the guy
- 18:23Speaker 3: in the whole line that you're telling me he was
- 18:24Speaker 3: getting bodied? I cannot remember he said, but he was
- 18:27Speaker 3: just every time every.
- 18:28Speaker 4: Time whoever was in that left tackle was kidding left tackle.
- 18:33Speaker 2: But Teddy Teddy didn't play well either on the right side,
- 18:38Speaker 2: I think.
- 18:40Speaker 1: From a most disappointing position group, the offensive line by
- 18:47Speaker 1: far and what we thought they could be.
- 18:51Speaker 2: The we didn't see it coming.
- 18:54Speaker 1: But at the same time, the worry was that Michigan
- 18:57Speaker 1: was just going to be that much more physical than
- 18:58Speaker 1: us and bigger and better strung, longer, especially up front,
- 19:01Speaker 1: and they were like that that that point was fought on.
- 19:04Speaker 1: So are the rest of the teams on our schedule
- 19:08Speaker 1: gonna be that big?
- 19:10Speaker 2: Fast, strong?
- 19:11Speaker 1: Might be a couple. I mean, you're you're gonna see.
- 19:13Speaker 1: But is Michigan State gonna be maybe like Michigan? I
- 19:16Speaker 1: don't think so. So, Yeah, our tackles specifically struggled, which
- 19:22Speaker 1: we knew that left side there's a reason why they're
- 19:24Speaker 1: still rodating and trying to figure out who that is.
- 19:29Speaker 1: That's The interior played pretty well p f F grade wise,
- 19:34Speaker 1: it sounds like they all graded it kind of above average,
- 19:37Speaker 1: the interior three, but the outside too.
- 19:39Speaker 4: It was which is where Michigan's talent is. I mean,
- 19:43Speaker 4: it's like this is where our best players because are
- 19:45Speaker 4: these two these two guys on the edge and then
- 19:48Speaker 4: houseman yep. Yeah, the offensive line was probably the worst group.
- 19:53Speaker 4: And then the other big thing was just our tackling
- 19:57Speaker 4: was not.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Offense for now, but yes, okay, keep rolling offense.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Well yeah, because the edges where that's where all the
- 20:08Speaker 4: pressure was coming from. And so Dylan was moving around again.
- 20:13Speaker 4: He looked really good. He looked really vocal, not like
- 20:15Speaker 4: mobile as far as like he's gonna run, but he
- 20:18Speaker 4: was moving around, and we were catching the ball, and
- 20:24Speaker 4: when we ran the ball, we were running it pretty
- 20:26Speaker 4: visionally until like the third quarter went all of a sudden,
- 20:28Speaker 4: it's like, oh, we're just gonna run out the middle
- 20:30Speaker 4: for another two yards, and now we need to pass
- 20:33Speaker 4: it because we missed.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 20:36Speaker 1: The running game itself is a concern right now in
- 20:40Speaker 1: my mind as we get into Big ten play, because
- 20:43Speaker 1: I do I truly think in some people I think
- 20:48Speaker 1: maybe it's just a cliche, but in the Big Ten,
- 20:52Speaker 1: you have to be able to run.
- 20:53Speaker 2: The ball like but we did.
- 20:55Speaker 4: That's the thing.
- 20:56Speaker 2: It's like we did, but we didn't like we did.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I know, it's one of those things that you got
- 21:01Speaker 1: to do it for four quarters, I think in the
- 21:03Speaker 1: Big ten because a lot of these teams can and
- 21:05Speaker 1: it's a physicality thing and you've got to have an
- 21:07Speaker 1: offensive line to do it. We know that from past experience,
- 21:11Speaker 1: so you have to be able to do that, and
- 21:13Speaker 1: we showed moments that we can. But at the same time,
- 21:20Speaker 1: if you can't do it for four quarters and you
- 21:22Speaker 1: know you're gonna be in a bunch of dog fights,
- 21:24Speaker 1: well where does that leave us and the games coming
- 21:30Speaker 1: up on our schedule?
- 21:31Speaker 2: Like I just it makes you feel unsure. And we
- 21:36Speaker 2: said this game.
- 21:38Speaker 1: We were going to learn a ton And that's kind
- 21:41Speaker 1: of the theme of everything we're going to be talking
- 21:43Speaker 1: about here in the next few episodes, is we now
- 21:46Speaker 1: know a little bit of where we're at because Michigan
- 21:48Speaker 1: it's not like Michigan's a top ten team. They're not,
- 21:54Speaker 1: and they probably are one of the top half top
- 22:00Speaker 1: third of the Big ten, but it's they're not they're
- 22:04Speaker 1: they're also not bad. So where does that lead where
- 22:09Speaker 1: we're at?
- 22:11Speaker 2: I don't know that that that that we learned a lot.
- 22:13Speaker 2: We learned about where we're at, but we're not. We're
- 22:15Speaker 2: not a playoff contender.
- 22:16Speaker 1: I guess we learned that, which is what everybody was
- 22:19Speaker 1: talking about after potentially his last two games. I never
- 22:22Speaker 1: got to that point believing that at all, but I
- 22:24Speaker 1: know some people did nationally included.
- 22:28Speaker 4: Oh you can go ten and two in the Big Ten,
- 22:31Speaker 4: which I do you think is still in play?
- 22:33Speaker 2: Like it could be.
- 22:35Speaker 4: I mean, I you know, Maryland might be better than
- 22:38Speaker 4: we thought. But outside of that, it's like, well, USC, Michigan, Minnesota,
- 22:43Speaker 4: U C, l A. I, they all, look, we're going
- 22:47Speaker 4: to be.
- 22:48Speaker 2: In one score games. In reality, that's where it's going
- 22:50Speaker 2: to be at the rest of the year.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Outside of Penn State, probably in maybe UCLA and Northwestern
- 22:55Speaker 1: on the opposite end of the spectrum, hopefully, we we're
- 22:59Speaker 1: gonna be in a lot of one score games. So yeah,
- 23:02Speaker 1: offensive line, is it concerning at is it ending our season? No,
- 23:07Speaker 1: it's not like it's time to just say, oh.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Screw it, this sucks. Were bad, We're here we go.
- 23:13Speaker 2: I'm not at the here we go again.
- 23:15Speaker 3: No, it's different. It's a different type of loss and
- 23:19Speaker 3: then normally happens. That's what I felt like.
- 23:23Speaker 2: I don't running back, da you have these thoughts on
- 23:28Speaker 2: the running back. You haven't talked about them a lot,
- 23:30Speaker 2: like em meant, I don't see. That's another weird part.
- 23:38Speaker 3: I don't know if he they played well, he played
- 23:43Speaker 3: he played okay, Like there's wasn't I mean, there was
- 23:47Speaker 3: holes in beginning on the first couple of drives, but
- 23:49Speaker 3: this wasn't much room for him to run either, and
- 23:55Speaker 3: anyone behind him I didn't think played well at all.
- 23:57Speaker 3: That I didn't I think your second or third singer
- 23:58Speaker 3: played well, though I would yeah, I'd say you played
- 24:04Speaker 3: well enough.
- 24:06Speaker 4: I mean it was another product at the offensive line
- 24:08Speaker 4: up being great. Yeah, we moved it really well, but
- 24:11Speaker 4: by the time third quarter rolled around, they had figured
- 24:14Speaker 4: it out and physically they their defensive was just better,
- 24:19Speaker 4: and so it just didn't wasn't as productive running the ball.
- 24:22Speaker 4: He's still caught a couple of passes, that's hospital balls
- 24:27Speaker 4: as normal.
- 24:28Speaker 1: But yeah, we we we continue to see lack of
- 24:33Speaker 1: depth a running back.
- 24:36Speaker 2: And it's a very good back.
- 24:38Speaker 1: He's not he's to me, he's better than what we
- 24:41Speaker 1: had in the last year. He's a good he's a
- 24:46Speaker 1: good back. We just don't have any depth there. But
- 24:48Speaker 1: that also doesn't help with the running game, because again
- 24:53Speaker 1: you need a little bit of something there too. I
- 24:55Speaker 1: think win a lot of.
- 24:56Speaker 2: These Big ten games, So I I think that's a
- 25:00Speaker 2: general consensus there. It's it's what we got.
- 25:03Speaker 1: And I heard someone talking after the game about how
- 25:08Speaker 1: would I kind of agree with this, and this is
- 25:10Speaker 1: just the world we live in. The running back that
- 25:13Speaker 1: went to Miami, and I heard he put up a
- 25:16Speaker 1: pretty good stat line this week again against Florida that
- 25:22Speaker 1: we almost had. It was between us and us and them.
- 25:25Speaker 1: It sounds like Miami just paid him little more money
- 25:28Speaker 1: and he chose to go to Miami. You know, we
- 25:34Speaker 1: we paid money for Elijah Pritchett, and that is an
- 25:39Speaker 1: example obviously, but we Every school is allocating their money
- 25:44Speaker 1: and you're picking players on what you think.
- 25:46Speaker 2: I mean, that's part of the game.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Now, that's part of scouting, this part of recruiting, that's
- 25:50Speaker 1: part of everything in the portal high school kids too.
- 25:54Speaker 1: You are you're you're figuring out where you need pieces,
- 25:58Speaker 1: what pieces fit your idea of how you want to play,
- 26:02Speaker 1: your culture, your your play style, and you're bringing people
- 26:05Speaker 1: in and that you know that that's going to become
- 26:08Speaker 1: more of a topic of conversation as people evaluate how
- 26:12Speaker 1: seasons went, and log of Pritchard obviously is not maybe
- 26:19Speaker 1: what people thought he was going to be coming in
- 26:23Speaker 1: from Alabama.
- 26:26Speaker 3: I don't I don't think you played horrible against Michigan Pricher, Yeah,
- 26:31Speaker 3: I don't I mean, I mean, the whole line played terrible.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I can compared to the rest.
- 26:37Speaker 1: Of No, nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. You the interior
- 26:42Speaker 1: offensive line played pretty decent.
- 26:44Speaker 3: Okay, the tackles horrible and he's yeah, I know he's tackles.
- 26:48Speaker 3: So they all played bad like the tackles. Yes, the
- 26:54Speaker 3: tackles did not the whole line. No, the two tackles terrible.
- 26:58Speaker 2: I had to get you down on the and he's
- 27:00Speaker 2: one of the tackles, so yes, he did not have.
- 27:02Speaker 3: A got horrible. I changed in my mind. He played terrible, but.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Had had to had had to talk that through that
- 27:15Speaker 2: to talk there.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Is yep through that. Can we get can we give
- 27:21Speaker 3: a little positive on the game. So there's one part
- 27:24Speaker 3: of the game that's which we all said coming in
- 27:27Speaker 3: the year, this is what our This might have been
- 27:29Speaker 3: our most we're the most worried about this position. You
- 27:33Speaker 3: have a tight end, Luke lannder Myer is a damn
- 27:36Speaker 3: good tight end.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Luke, I agree, yeah, and our receivers like for our
- 27:41Speaker 1: style that it makes sense why we're playing the way
- 27:45Speaker 1: we are, and that includes Luke and that conversation. Are
- 27:49Speaker 1: we we have strong receivers like Isaiah Hunters, a good receiver,
- 27:52Speaker 1: Dankey good Barney had a great game, great numbers. Yeah,
- 27:58Speaker 1: it's that's why it's so puzzling and so hard to
- 28:01Speaker 1: just comprehend everything, because I do think we're kind of
- 28:04Speaker 1: maximizing the pieces that we have right now. I do
- 28:07Speaker 1: think Dana is a decent a pretty good coordinator and
- 28:10Speaker 1: and didn't call a bad game. There are a couple
- 28:13Speaker 1: of decisions here or there, and yeah, we can nitpick here,
- 28:18Speaker 1: here and here, but but man, it's just it's.
- 28:21Speaker 2: What we got. It's where we're at.
- 28:22Speaker 3: We learned a lot.
- 28:23Speaker 2: It's not probably where we want to be yet, but
- 28:26Speaker 2: it's also not like we're falling off a cliff.
- 28:29Speaker 4: Yeah this doesn't mean.
- 28:37Speaker 3: So so you're talking about paying Richard Prichard whatever, another
- 28:41Speaker 3: guy you paid, and I don't think I'm I don't
- 28:43Speaker 3: know if this is just the end of the year still,
- 28:45Speaker 3: there's just turn thing them out. Dani Key has not
- 28:48Speaker 3: done anything this year yet except I mean if you
- 28:51Speaker 3: count against Easton Christian. But he didn't do anything this
- 28:54Speaker 3: game again either, like he is not.
- 29:01Speaker 4: I don't know if that's just because that's how people
- 29:03Speaker 4: are game planning against him, and he's not the one
- 29:05Speaker 4: who's open. You know, Jacry is a little bit closer,
- 29:09Speaker 4: so he's really more a slot. So when the offensive
- 29:13Speaker 4: line collapses and Dylany is kind of a you know,
- 29:16Speaker 4: and how he tosses it to Cory, I don't know.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Man, Dan Danky only got targeted four times. I don't
- 29:24Speaker 1: I'm with the Austin. I don't know enough about didn't
- 29:26Speaker 1: watch it close. I didn't watch it back to see
- 29:30Speaker 1: how teams are keen on him. I'm guessing dan Key
- 29:32Speaker 1: is getting the other team's top corner a lot of times.
- 29:36Speaker 1: And and when you're when you're a quarterback and you're
- 29:39Speaker 1: prepping and scouting, you a lot of times are probably
- 29:42Speaker 1: looking for matchups, especially if teams are playing man coverage. So, yes, Dane,
- 29:48Speaker 1: they have a couple of catches. I'm not downplaying him
- 29:50Speaker 1: too much. I kind of looking at a receiving group
- 29:53Speaker 1: as a as a core, as a whole.
- 29:56Speaker 4: He's tied for the second most receptions, has the second
- 29:59Speaker 4: most year for the year. It like most TVs.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Yeah, so offensively it's hard.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Like you mentioned Austin, we scored twenty seven points. One
- 30:09Speaker 1: was a hell, Mary. We failed to convert a red zone.
- 30:13Speaker 4: We also red zones.
- 30:15Speaker 1: You missed missed the field goal as well, so that
- 30:20Speaker 1: hurts a little bit as well. It it's gonna be
- 30:23Speaker 1: a one score game. So in any other I mean
- 30:27Speaker 1: general offensive thoughts, I again don't want to blow it up,
- 30:30Speaker 1: but no, it's there's no need to do that. But
- 30:33Speaker 1: the offensive line, think is a big takeaway going in
- 30:36Speaker 1: and it's a conference, it's a schedule that you're the
- 30:41Speaker 1: offensive line matters.
- 30:42Speaker 2: We know that, we've preached it, we said the offensive line.
- 30:46Speaker 4: And then the only the only other hair pulling part
- 30:48Speaker 4: was you know, the call back touchdown because he stepped
- 30:51Speaker 4: out of bounds, where it's like that was a that
- 30:53Speaker 4: was the boneheaded play, you know, but it wasn't even that.
- 30:56Speaker 4: But you know it's like it's like, ah, like he
- 30:58Speaker 4: barely stepped out of bound, but that those are the
- 31:01Speaker 4: plays that you're like, there wasn't a lot of holding,
- 31:03Speaker 4: there wasn't a lot of drop passes. It's just.
- 31:06Speaker 1: Bumbles like things that have things that have looked made
- 31:10Speaker 1: us look like an elementary team in the past.
- 31:13Speaker 4: Yeah, we played relatively we played relatively clean, and we
- 31:17Speaker 4: scored twice points. Even though it felt like we It
- 31:20Speaker 4: did not feel like we scored twice out points. I
- 31:22Speaker 4: felt like we scored thirteen. We left points on the board,
- 31:26Speaker 4: but they weren't like because of them, you know, bringing
- 31:29Speaker 4: them plays.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Yeah, can you like not sit still? Do you need
- 31:32Speaker 2: to walk around the whole time?
- 31:34Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 31:34Speaker 3: No, I'm walking around out thinking about this.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I just you always just walk.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm getting my walk in. If there's any fan
- 31:45Speaker 3: out there that's dead series that they think Latif would
- 31:48Speaker 3: have played better than Real, I want to talk to
- 31:50Speaker 3: him and ask him what's wrong with them? No, there
- 31:53Speaker 3: there definitely are if they're dead serious about that.
- 31:57Speaker 1: I don't know if it's a contrast of style because
- 31:59Speaker 1: they want running quarterback or they do the I mean
- 32:02Speaker 1: there are probably some they just think Dylan is very good. Actually,
- 32:05Speaker 1: I heard Tom Fordneller from CBS just he had some
- 32:09Speaker 1: interesting monologue for about two minutes on how he's out
- 32:13Speaker 1: on Dylan and and went off on him. I t
- 32:19Speaker 1: j OTF hasn't I mean, he hasn't shown he played
- 32:22Speaker 1: mop up duty against Houston Christian Acrot.
- 32:24Speaker 2: I mean I don't want to try him in any
- 32:27Speaker 2: games like this.
- 32:28Speaker 1: I want maybe mop up duty against Northwestern and then
- 32:31Speaker 1: we can maybe talk if Dylan plays bad, but the
- 32:34Speaker 1: reason why we're probably in mop up duty is Dylan
- 32:36Speaker 1: probly well I don't, I don't.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I don't think that's anywhere even close.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I even heard people say going into this game, is
- 32:45Speaker 1: there a chance we're going to see the tea for
- 32:46Speaker 1: a change of pace? And I'm just like, no, no,
- 32:48Speaker 1: Like I think some people like you said Austin's going
- 32:52Speaker 1: to the past, that want that style, and I'm there
- 32:59Speaker 1: a little bit too, but it's it's not like, it's
- 33:01Speaker 1: not where we're at. It's not what we want to do,
- 33:03Speaker 1: and so you can disagree with that all you want,
- 33:07Speaker 1: but that's not part of our repertoire right now.
- 33:11Speaker 2: On offense, so okay, let's flip sides here. I guess
- 33:16Speaker 2: let's let's go special teams real quick.
- 33:20Speaker 4: And this field goal was good.
- 33:22Speaker 2: I'm sure X not.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Happy about that missfield goal. Yeah, he hasn't slept yet.
- 33:31Speaker 1: Our archie, guys is we're lucky to have a guy
- 33:34Speaker 1: like that again, and he did. He did a very
- 33:36Speaker 1: good job of his of I.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Wouldn't say he had any like, oh shit, that was amazing.
- 33:41Speaker 1: But I think we're gonna price still have some of those,
- 33:43Speaker 1: but I do like his style where they're not gonna
- 33:46Speaker 1: teams are not going to be able to return it
- 33:48Speaker 1: on as much. I just I can tell by the
- 33:50Speaker 1: way we're doing a lot more of a rugby style
- 33:54Speaker 1: lower kicks. I think it's encouraging he feels safe about now.
- 34:00Speaker 1: I think on the punting side of things, you know,
- 34:04Speaker 1: return game was it wasn't like we made or hurt
- 34:08Speaker 1: ourselves in special teams, which obviously it can be better,
- 34:11Speaker 1: but that missfield goal hurts a little bit. I thought
- 34:15Speaker 1: maybe after that point, people would, you know, the players
- 34:20Speaker 1: would go, oh boy, here we go again, and you
- 34:23Speaker 1: can hear the crowd go just a big size and like,
- 34:25Speaker 1: oh shit, obviously we didn't win.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Did we fall off a cliff after that? I don't
- 34:32Speaker 2: think we did that either, but we would have been
- 34:36Speaker 2: nice to make the field goal. Yep.
- 34:39Speaker 4: So with that style.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Punny that Archie has. I don't know if he knows this,
- 34:45Speaker 3: but one time I don't know about the other punts,
- 34:48Speaker 3: but one time I noticed he faked up the return
- 34:49Speaker 3: or the return went to pick oppositide of the field
- 34:51Speaker 3: where he was punting. Yeah, I mean, which is which
- 34:54Speaker 3: is what you kind of happened like like you said,
- 34:59Speaker 3: there wasn't like, well, he bombed that pun but he
- 35:02Speaker 3: played well enough. Yeah, the fielal unit, I don't you're
- 35:08Speaker 3: you're gonna miss kicks like I still I still have
- 35:12Speaker 3: faith that he's gonna make most of his kicks. Like
- 35:15Speaker 3: that's another one thing about a couple of years past.
- 35:17Speaker 3: If you're if you're mad the field unit, just think
- 35:21Speaker 3: back to how bad it's been.
- 35:23Speaker 2: Yeah, we're still trending upwards there.
- 35:26Speaker 3: Yeah it's you miss one kick.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Defense here, obviously we can look at the stats. Michigan
- 35:36Speaker 1: scored thirty points pretty much. You look the scoreboard of
- 35:40Speaker 1: the whole game. You see you saw our stats with
- 35:44Speaker 1: the heavy passing, minimal running. This is flip flopped and
- 35:49Speaker 1: we didn't finally allow quarterback to throw over one hundred
- 35:51Speaker 1: yards just barely from a stat and just style wise, Yes,
- 35:59Speaker 1: I would have liked to see whatever that looks like.
- 36:02Speaker 1: I don't know exactly everything about scheming defenses and how
- 36:06Speaker 1: that works in football. I just would have if if
- 36:10Speaker 1: we were gonna lose, I would have liked to see
- 36:11Speaker 1: Bryce have to throw it a lot more than he
- 36:14Speaker 1: did and prove himself through the air versus on the ground.
- 36:17Speaker 1: And I get they only had really three huge plays
- 36:21Speaker 1: on offense, but that also is part of it and.
- 36:25Speaker 2: The scheme.
- 36:26Speaker 1: I guess that Michigan drop, even if it wasn't just
- 36:29Speaker 1: on those three plays, kicked our ass on it. And
- 36:32Speaker 1: I didn't go back and watch and if it was
- 36:33Speaker 1: a blown assignment, if it was just like what happened,
- 36:37Speaker 1: or if Michigan, you know what, like picked out hat
- 36:40Speaker 1: for hat and boom boom, boom boom, and there's a
- 36:42Speaker 1: hole and there they go. Those running backs obviously are
- 36:46Speaker 1: faster than our secondary and Bryce when he took off.
- 36:52Speaker 1: But yeah, it's three plays. But at the same time,
- 36:55Speaker 1: that three plays won on the game. And I thought,
- 37:01Speaker 1: with our defense the way that we've been talking, it
- 37:04Speaker 1: was gonna do this game. It was gonna be either
- 37:06Speaker 1: big plays or little to no gain, which I think
- 37:10Speaker 1: is kind of a lot of It wasn't like Michigan
- 37:12Speaker 1: ran for eight yards, seven yards, twelve yards, ten yards,
- 37:15Speaker 1: eight yards that that didn't happen.
- 37:17Speaker 2: I think people thought that could happen. It wasn't that
- 37:20Speaker 2: it was two three, stop and then big chunk, And
- 37:27Speaker 2: that's maybe how this defense is gonna play. I don't know.
- 37:29Speaker 2: You gotta limit the chunks, you gotta limit the big runs.
- 37:32Speaker 4: Obviously, what was their third down conversion rate?
- 37:42Speaker 3: They were.
- 37:44Speaker 4: They felt way better than for twelve and third twelve.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Again, we keep we keep talking about those three big
- 37:53Speaker 3: plays because obviously that's one of the game. But like
- 37:58Speaker 3: like you've said, outside of three plays, I thought Defense
- 38:00Speaker 3: played it actually really well. The The D line was
- 38:05Speaker 3: the main cntainer comand in the game I thought, I
- 38:10Speaker 3: thought they actually held their own on D line.
- 38:17Speaker 4: And then I.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I thought to me, to me, the D line is
- 38:24Speaker 1: a matter of my expectations coming in were like a
- 38:27Speaker 1: two out of ten.
- 38:28Speaker 2: Yeah, they performed a three out of ten.
- 38:30Speaker 4: That don't disagree with me.
- 38:32Speaker 2: I want you to have a different, different opinion if
- 38:34Speaker 2: you have an different opinion.
- 38:35Speaker 3: I thought that that is my opinion because coming in
- 38:37Speaker 3: the game, I was just so low on I'm that
- 38:40Speaker 3: I guess they played better than like I was. Rock
- 38:42Speaker 3: I wasn't even a two out of ten. I was
- 38:44Speaker 3: like a zero out of ten on D line coming
- 38:46Speaker 3: in the game. So compared to that, I thought they
- 38:50Speaker 3: played well, like like a four or five out of ten.
- 38:53Speaker 3: So there there you go. I wouldn't say they played
- 38:55Speaker 3: grade either.
- 38:59Speaker 2: But but it's not our strength of our team. And
- 39:03Speaker 2: that's the concern, right that that's that that maybe is
- 39:07Speaker 2: the it's the whole. We obviously miss miss Nash and tie.
- 39:13Speaker 2: That's clear. We don't have them. I mean, just looking
- 39:17Speaker 2: at yards per rush too.
- 39:18Speaker 1: That's the other stat that like puts a dagger in
- 39:20Speaker 1: your heart is eight point seven versus one point four.
- 39:24Speaker 1: But but again those are those are skewed by those
- 39:26Speaker 1: three long runs. So I don't know, it's hard. You
- 39:34Speaker 1: can't give those up. Michigan obviously was better than us,
- 39:37Speaker 1: Like there's a little bit better than this player for player,
- 39:40Speaker 1: whether you want to believe that or not, I do
- 39:42Speaker 1: think that's true, especially in the line of scrimmage. And
- 39:46Speaker 1: so when that happens, you're probably you're probably gonna break
- 39:49Speaker 1: a couple, which the frustrating part is we don't.
- 39:52Speaker 2: We can't.
- 39:53Speaker 1: We don't break couples like we don't because one our
- 39:55Speaker 1: quarterback can't do it because he's not mobile enough.
- 39:57Speaker 2: But too like.
- 39:59Speaker 1: I I mean, Justice Haynes is a good running back
- 40:01Speaker 1: and this other guy they brought in their backup, he's
- 40:03Speaker 1: but for Caam good too, and Michigan's had good running
- 40:06Speaker 1: backs in the past. It's Michigan. It's not National Championship Michigan,
- 40:12Speaker 1: but it's Michigan.
- 40:15Speaker 4: I mean, they still have the same star talent as
- 40:17Speaker 4: they did a couple of years ago, you know, not
- 40:20Speaker 4: the same people necessarily, and they're younger, but we were
- 40:23Speaker 4: young too, were the youngest team in the Big Ten.
- 40:25Speaker 4: You know, it's like, well, am I judging too harshly?
- 40:29Speaker 4: But I shouldn't be, you know, but I like I said, yeah,
- 40:36Speaker 4: I agree you. I expected a two out of ten
- 40:38Speaker 4: and we probably had a three and a half out
- 40:40Speaker 4: of ten performance On the d line. Secondary, it didn't
- 40:45Speaker 4: feel like, you know, yeah, he only passed for one
- 40:47Speaker 4: hundred and five yards and those big plays kind of
- 40:50Speaker 4: fall in the secondary because there's no safety back there
- 40:52Speaker 4: to you know, but you're right there, they're athletes. But
- 40:55Speaker 4: it felt like Bryce missed a lot of passes. You know,
- 40:59Speaker 4: they left points the board too. There's that wide open
- 41:02Speaker 4: trick play that their yeah, that terrible pass, and there
- 41:11Speaker 4: were just a lot of like, oh, this guy was
- 41:14Speaker 4: wide open, but not wide open, but he is pretty
- 41:16Speaker 4: dang open and Bryce underthrew We're overthrew him.
- 41:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's Bryce's Bryce is a very like average
- 41:23Speaker 2: pasture like he's not he's gonna misthrow too.
- 41:25Speaker 4: So which that's what we wanted to do. We wanted
- 41:28Speaker 4: to throw it and I felt like he had to
- 41:31Speaker 4: throw it at times, which is what we wanted to happen.
- 41:33Speaker 4: It's just again we come back to those three big plays, like, well,
- 41:36Speaker 4: when you have three plays that result in three touchdowns
- 41:39Speaker 4: and over one hundred and seventy yards of rushing offense,
- 41:46Speaker 4: that that falls on the defense, you know.
- 41:48Speaker 2: Just wanted he wanted the scheme for him to throw
- 41:52Speaker 2: it more.
- 41:53Speaker 3: That's that.
- 41:54Speaker 1: That to me is the bottom line. Now, credit to Michigan.
- 41:57Speaker 1: They stuck to what they believe and without their head coach.
- 42:04Speaker 1: I still love Biff pog just it just just great.
- 42:06Speaker 4: I just love them.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Uh. It's that's why it's so hard to think back
- 42:14Speaker 1: on this game and I going in, it's not like
- 42:16Speaker 1: anybody thought the everything was gonna fall off after losing
- 42:20Speaker 1: this game, but you feel like you had chances, but
- 42:23Speaker 1: you feel like Michigan also had chances that they didn't
- 42:25Speaker 1: take advantage of. And the score ends the way it did,
- 42:28Speaker 1: and we just we're not on top. I think it's
- 42:32Speaker 1: still probably for the program, it's probably okay. I I
- 42:38Speaker 1: think you just like the Cincinnati game, you learned a
- 42:42Speaker 1: lot from a.
- 42:44Speaker 2: Close win.
- 42:46Speaker 1: I mean, you win, you win this game, you in
- 42:49Speaker 1: Holy Cow. You want to talk about people looking at
- 42:52Speaker 1: their next four or five games of of running away
- 42:55Speaker 1: with it. I it probably wouldn't have. But honestly, we
- 43:00Speaker 1: probably would have thought we were pretty damn good and
- 43:02Speaker 1: we would have been in some dog fights, maybe slipped
- 43:05Speaker 1: up a close game. Maybe now we don't because we
- 43:07Speaker 1: got that loss here and we know now where we're
- 43:11Speaker 1: at it and we didn't win it. It's not false hope.
- 43:14Speaker 1: So now we can say, yere's where we need to
- 43:16Speaker 1: get better and scheme wise one thing, player wise another thing.
- 43:21Speaker 2: Like you can only do so much with the guys
- 43:25Speaker 2: he got. I don't think we have the players that
- 43:28Speaker 2: maybe some people hope we do. It's also year three.
- 43:30Speaker 2: I also think we're better than last year. I think
- 43:32Speaker 2: we have a little bit better momentum.
- 43:36Speaker 4: I mean we still have a good opportunity to go
- 43:39Speaker 4: nine and three, ten and two, and that's a great year.
- 43:45Speaker 4: Day is ten and two is a great year. And
- 43:48Speaker 4: you know, if you're looking at matt Rol needs to
- 43:50Speaker 4: get stage for win. He does still have another I
- 43:52Speaker 4: mean we still have ranked opponents on the schedule. USC
- 43:55Speaker 4: is still ranked, Penn State still ranked. Probably win there.
- 43:59Speaker 2: But let's put it this.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Over our next four games, which when I say the
- 44:04Speaker 1: four games is by week. But Michigan State, Minnesota, Maryland,
- 44:09Speaker 1: and Northwestern.
- 44:11Speaker 2: We win this game, I think we lose one of those.
- 44:16Speaker 2: I think we have a better change to lose one
- 44:17Speaker 2: of those.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Wow, the fact the fact that we lost this game,
- 44:21Speaker 1: I feel better about winning those four than I would
- 44:24Speaker 1: have if we would have won.
- 44:25Speaker 2: So now is that going to play out that way perfectly?
- 44:27Speaker 2: Probably not, but I do. I just think that you
- 44:31Speaker 2: win this game.
- 44:31Speaker 1: You our brains are thinking very differently about the program,
- 44:36Speaker 1: including the players and the coaches, that it's harder to
- 44:39Speaker 1: find a way to You probably have a better to
- 44:43Speaker 1: slipping up because there's self confidence or self false sense
- 44:47Speaker 1: of confidence of how.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Good we are. I don't. We're not. We're not a
- 44:50Speaker 2: top fifteen team.
- 44:51Speaker 3: We're not.
- 44:52Speaker 2: We're not a playoff team.
- 44:53Speaker 3: We're not.
- 44:55Speaker 2: We're not there. So I just think our.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Chances of winning, you know, looking ahead a little bit,
- 45:03Speaker 1: That's where my brain's at So I don't think it's
- 45:05Speaker 1: a bad reason.
- 45:06Speaker 2: Now we got to respond and learn from Matt and
- 45:09Speaker 2: get better.
- 45:10Speaker 1: But Michigan, out of those five teams I just mentioned,
- 45:12Speaker 1: Michigan is the best team of those five.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Can we agree with that?
- 45:16Speaker 3: Yes?
- 45:16Speaker 1: Yeah, So like you lose this game, that means your
- 45:20Speaker 1: next you probably should find I don't think they're head
- 45:22Speaker 1: and shoulders like way above all of them, but they're
- 45:26Speaker 1: probably the best one of those of the five teams
- 45:28Speaker 1: here in this next group.
- 45:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree this game to not only be feeling worse. Yeah,
- 45:41Speaker 4: you know, Like I left this game, I was so
- 45:43Speaker 4: upset because like we should have won that game. Put
- 45:47Speaker 4: us not way the game was, Like I understand why
- 45:49Speaker 4: we didn't win the game. So I mean you and
- 45:54Speaker 4: you look forward, it's like I can see us winning
- 45:56Speaker 4: all those.
- 45:56Speaker 3: Games like we, Like we said, it's such a weird
- 46:04Speaker 3: feeling come out as lot.
- 46:05Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 46:10Speaker 3: I don't know how to feel if you feel more
- 46:15Speaker 3: confident coming out of this game or not. I don't.
- 46:18Speaker 3: I'm almost more confident, Okay, I'll say I am more
- 46:20Speaker 3: confident coming out of this game. Why because I.
- 46:26Speaker 4: We didn't play a great game and still scored twice
- 46:28Speaker 4: seven points. Yeah, you didn't.
- 46:32Speaker 3: We didn't play well. I didn't play well and still
- 46:36Speaker 3: still still in the game. I also, I thought Dylan
- 46:42Speaker 3: played great. Back back to that again, that's another thing
- 46:46Speaker 3: I will come out of happy. I guess O this
- 46:49Speaker 3: game is Dylan played well, and it felt like me personally,
- 46:56Speaker 3: I felt like Nebraska outplayed Michigan.
- 47:00Speaker 4: That's probably the best defense. I mean, that's the best
- 47:02Speaker 4: defense will play until Penn State and Iowa.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Yeah right, yeah, yeah again, big picture thing. I just
- 47:11Speaker 1: I can't say we outplayed them. I don't think that happened.
- 47:14Speaker 1: I don't think that. I don't think that we I
- 47:22Speaker 1: don't think we played better than them. I think they
- 47:23Speaker 1: played better than us, and I think both teams left
- 47:25Speaker 1: stuff on the field.
- 47:27Speaker 4: I think that's why I think. That's why I feel
- 47:29Speaker 4: this way, is because you're right, they played better than
- 47:31Speaker 4: us and we still lost three points twenty seven thirty.
- 47:33Speaker 4: It's like, okay, like I can see where we can improve.
- 47:37Speaker 2: And I think if you're looking at from the Michigan side,
- 47:39Speaker 2: they can say we could have won that game by
- 47:42Speaker 2: twenty Yeah, great, but they didn't. And they didn't. But
- 47:46Speaker 2: they didn't and we didn't win it. It's like one
- 47:48Speaker 2: of those things that, like I said, both teams did
- 47:50Speaker 2: some good things, both teams made some mistakes in Michigan
- 47:54Speaker 2: won by three, which was a spread.
- 47:56Speaker 1: So it's like everything played out like there's some good,
- 47:59Speaker 1: some bad both ways, and we didn't win.
- 48:01Speaker 2: I don't think that we played better than them. I don't.
- 48:04Speaker 2: I don't think we had better players in them. I
- 48:06Speaker 2: don't think we're that far off.
- 48:08Speaker 3: There's one point in the game that I would I mean,
- 48:10Speaker 3: I am mad about is everyone knew we all all
- 48:14Speaker 3: free said in the podcast. Everyone new Michigan wanted to
- 48:16Speaker 3: do run the ball and what won in the game
- 48:22Speaker 3: three big runs like you didn't stop. Nebraska did not
- 48:26Speaker 3: stop what we all knew they were gonna try to do.
- 48:31Speaker 2: Hey, we're we're gonna start putting back on a counter
- 48:34Speaker 2: here for saying you I don't know what I don't know.
- 48:37Speaker 2: We gotta get like a punishment tier here. I count
- 48:40Speaker 2: myself there, I caught myself there you did, but you
- 48:42Speaker 2: didn't change it to wei.
- 48:45Speaker 1: So we're gonna're gonna we're gonna start getting a punishment
- 48:47Speaker 1: tier for maybe we'll have to have Jackson help us
- 48:49Speaker 1: out with what this what this little punishment tier looks like,
- 48:53Speaker 1: but pretty ridiculous at this point, kind of uncalled for.
- 48:59Speaker 3: Yeah, don't mean to fire you up, Jackson, but I'll
- 49:02Speaker 3: start saying we.
- 49:04Speaker 2: It's not about start saying it, it's about believing it.
- 49:08Speaker 2: Because you're not an Oklahoma fan.
- 49:12Speaker 3: Well, I haven't taken the blood oath yet.
- 49:14Speaker 1: Well, if you're an Oklahoma fan back all you have
- 49:16Speaker 1: been talking about how much better at Oklahoma is in Nebraska.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Because the way, that's the other thing that I think
- 49:21Speaker 1: you can look at and take a step back from
- 49:24Speaker 1: the game itself, Like Oklahoma had a very similar game
- 49:30Speaker 1: right two weeks ago, and the score was very different.
- 49:34Speaker 1: I mean you want to but on the road, a
- 49:36Speaker 1: costal environment, the game played out like they were able
- 49:41Speaker 1: to rattle Bryce. And yeah, maybe because we're game two
- 49:43Speaker 1: of two of that stretch, that maybe he learned a
- 49:46Speaker 1: lot of the freshment, which I'm sure he did on
- 49:49Speaker 1: his composure and poise.
- 49:54Speaker 4: It does.
- 49:55Speaker 1: I think Nebraska fans were hoping, just thank you media,
- 49:59Speaker 1: that this was our year to be back in the
- 50:01Speaker 1: national conversation. But I guess I would say, why we're
- 50:07Speaker 1: not there yet, We're not. I didn't think we were
- 50:09Speaker 1: either like I don't.
- 50:10Speaker 2: I don't. I think we have a ways to go.
- 50:12Speaker 2: We have to prove that we can win a game
- 50:14Speaker 2: against Michigan State here in two weeks at home, because
- 50:17Speaker 2: that's what we're supposed to do.
- 50:20Speaker 4: We just got to win a ring to put it
- 50:21Speaker 4: one of these times.
- 50:22Speaker 2: Yeah, and and win one of those. I think that
- 50:24Speaker 2: will put us kind of say, that's that.
- 50:28Speaker 1: That's that next check checkbox, right, that's the next milestone
- 50:31Speaker 1: that we need to do if we didn't ranked team.
- 50:33Speaker 1: And it's kind of sad because a lot of these
- 50:36Speaker 1: other teams are doing it and sometimes quicker than others.
- 50:41Speaker 2: And I think Indiana is the extreme of that. I mean,
- 50:43Speaker 2: talk about that game and score holy cow?
- 50:47Speaker 1: Yeah what's yeah?
- 50:49Speaker 3: That?
- 50:49Speaker 2: Uh? That that That's what makes a little more frustrating,
- 50:52Speaker 2: I think for Nebraska fans as you see teams like.
- 50:54Speaker 3: That, do it turn around that quickly? Yeah?
- 50:57Speaker 4: You go, you go?
- 50:58Speaker 2: Why can't we there?
- 51:03Speaker 4: I don't.
- 51:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it just feels like it feels like that was
- 51:10Speaker 3: the lost opportunity to win that game, is what I
- 51:15Speaker 3: would say.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Yeah, missed opportunity.
- 51:18Speaker 1: But at the same time, going in it was not
- 51:20Speaker 1: a I said it was it was a high ceiling
- 51:23Speaker 1: game where you win this things look very very good.
- 51:27Speaker 2: But I don't think it drops the floor off a lot.
- 51:30Speaker 2: I don't think it. It bottoms things out and it shouldn't.
- 51:35Speaker 2: The other question, I want to ask, good good time,
- 51:39Speaker 2: bad time? For a bye week? This upcoming week.
- 51:44Speaker 4: Probably a good time great time. Yeah, you did tend
- 51:52Speaker 4: to reflect on the loss, but then move on. You
- 51:55Speaker 4: have you have a week to really be like, Okay,
- 51:57Speaker 4: here's why it didn't work out well. I I said,
- 52:02Speaker 4: you could linger on it too long. That's this point Dylan.
- 52:06Speaker 1: Dylan made the comment afterwards on how they wish they
- 52:09Speaker 1: were playing this week. I think, you know, initial reaction
- 52:11Speaker 1: as a player, you want a chance to go redeem
- 52:15Speaker 1: yourself a little bit. I I do think it's a
- 52:18Speaker 1: good spot to step back and learn because I don't
- 52:23Speaker 1: think we we didn't know where we were at we
- 52:25Speaker 1: had we didn't the last two games. I throw them
- 52:29Speaker 1: out the window, put a put a win in the
- 52:32Speaker 1: win column, and you that's not what the rest of
- 52:36Speaker 1: the year is going to be. Cincinnati game, you were
- 52:41Speaker 1: figuring out what's in SNATI. I don't think that's a
- 52:43Speaker 1: I don't think that's a a. It's good that we won.
- 52:45Speaker 2: I also don't think it's also too far off maybe
- 52:48Speaker 2: some of the teams we're going to play against in
- 52:50Speaker 2: the Big ten.
- 52:50Speaker 1: So like, you win that game, learn a little bit.
- 52:53Speaker 1: But this is this is this was the big measuring stick.
- 52:56Speaker 1: You pull it out and you say, all right, here's
- 52:59Speaker 1: where we're at, and here's what we got, here's what
- 53:02Speaker 1: we need to change, here's what we need to do.
- 53:05Speaker 1: We put together our best game plan. I'm sure that
- 53:07Speaker 1: we could to win this game because we had time
- 53:09Speaker 1: to do it against you know, a couple of not
- 53:11Speaker 1: so good teams the weeks before. So now now let's
- 53:13Speaker 1: take a step back and say, okay, what what do
- 53:15Speaker 1: we need to do here to reach our goals the
- 53:20Speaker 1: rest of the year. And I what are those goals?
- 53:22Speaker 1: I mean people probably thought maybe playoffs for a little bit.
- 53:26Speaker 1: I mean, take a step.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Forward, just building forward. We're still moving forward. I don't
- 53:31Speaker 2: think we fell back.
- 53:32Speaker 4: Yep.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Were they're good and bad things? Yeah, I get it.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Last two weeks there were not many bad if any
- 53:40Speaker 1: at all, So there's probably a reason to be a
- 53:44Speaker 1: little bit jacked up and happy. But being those two
- 53:47Speaker 1: teams are not They're they're bad. They it's playing playing
- 53:49Speaker 1: a high school team. So that's not what the rest
- 53:51Speaker 1: of the schedule.
- 53:52Speaker 4: Is going to be.
- 53:54Speaker 3: It's a reality check after those last two weeks, Like
- 53:57Speaker 3: now you can actually see when Nebraska is right now
- 54:01Speaker 3: looking like now like this, this is what the team's
- 54:03Speaker 3: gonna look like like. It's not gonna be six to
- 54:06Speaker 3: night nothing every week.
- 54:09Speaker 2: Wouldn't it be great? Maybe some days it's good.
- 54:15Speaker 4: It was good to actually have a you know, a
- 54:17Speaker 4: test for the offensive line because the last three weeks
- 54:20Speaker 4: it's like, oh, our offenseil line's actually pretty good. It's like, well, okay,
- 54:22Speaker 4: are we pretty good?
- 54:23Speaker 3: Or is it yeah?
- 54:24Speaker 4: Good?
- 54:24Speaker 2: Good? It's good.
- 54:25Speaker 1: But it's also like, now now my brains that go
- 54:27Speaker 1: shit like they've been they've been fine. They're you know,
- 54:31Speaker 1: there's there's not I don't think they're bad. Like I said,
- 54:35Speaker 1: we've seen bad, but how's it gonna hold up in
- 54:39Speaker 1: the Big ten? We're gonna see some good b lines?
- 54:42Speaker 1: We are I don't know, I said. Michigan's probably one
- 54:46Speaker 1: of them better opponents on our schedule this year and
- 54:49Speaker 1: our schedules. It's not overly difficult. That's awesome, but let's
- 54:54Speaker 1: let's go back to plain in Iowa at the end
- 54:57Speaker 1: of the year. Do I feel better or worse playing
- 55:00Speaker 1: in Iowa? Even though Iowa is not good I the
- 55:04Speaker 1: offensive the line scares me because what does Iowa do
- 55:09Speaker 1: and what are they really freaking good at?
- 55:11Speaker 4: And they put up thirty eight points?
- 55:14Speaker 2: And do I think we had better skill players in Iowa?
- 55:17Speaker 2: We have? We have every year the past how many years?
- 55:21Speaker 2: We don't win that game?
- 55:22Speaker 4: They scored more points, yeah, against Rutgers, but they they're
- 55:25Speaker 4: off their wide receivers. I was in a bar in
- 55:28Speaker 4: Iowa because you know, Maddie, that is date night. We're like,
- 55:31Speaker 4: you know what, let's go see the Council Bluff has
- 55:33Speaker 4: to offer. Yes, what Council Bluss has nothing to offer?
- 55:35Speaker 3: Don't go.
- 55:38Speaker 4: Their number one rated restaurant in Council Bluffs is the
- 55:41Speaker 4: Salty Dog, which is a chain bar restaurant which opened
- 55:45Speaker 4: up plus like five years ago. So we went to
- 55:48Speaker 4: the Salty Dog.
- 55:49Speaker 3: Don't you say that's bad food. That's they have some
- 55:52Speaker 3: good food.
- 55:53Speaker 2: Uh.
- 55:54Speaker 4: It was kind of it was like nineteen dollars for
- 55:56Speaker 4: twelve wings. I was like, this is your best restaurant,
- 55:58Speaker 4: and they were. They were pretty they're pretty mid wings.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Like, I'm not gonna.
- 56:03Speaker 2: It's an Iowa, what do we expect?
- 56:07Speaker 4: But yeah, so the Iowa game was on because I
- 56:08Speaker 4: didn't realize they were playing on Friday. One intolerable fan base.
- 56:13Speaker 4: My god, the guys. I'm not gonna say it's the
- 56:14Speaker 4: whole fan base, but the guy sat next to every
- 56:17Speaker 4: freaking player. That's a hold. Oh that's a target. Oh
- 56:22Speaker 4: where's where's the face mask on that? Where are we?
- 56:25Speaker 3: It's like, oh my god, the bed tapes of fans
- 56:27Speaker 3: right there.
- 56:29Speaker 2: It was miserable.
- 56:31Speaker 4: But too it's like, holy shit, I could have put
- 56:34Speaker 4: up fifty if the receivers didn't just drop like wide
- 56:36Speaker 4: open passes, like.
- 56:40Speaker 3: I mean, if we're diving into Iowa a little bit here.
- 56:47Speaker 2: No, okay, I'll say for that week, I don't want
- 56:53Speaker 2: to talk about Iowa, Okay, okay. Anything else from the game.
- 57:00Speaker 4: I heard, uh concessions. I heard that they brought people
- 57:06Speaker 4: up from Kansas City to working in sessions this week
- 57:08Speaker 4: because the last couple of weeks have been rough.
- 57:10Speaker 2: That's what I heard.
- 57:11Speaker 1: I can see Lady helped me because she said, yeah,
- 57:14Speaker 1: she which, Hey, I'll say this for Michigan fans. We
- 57:19Speaker 1: were in a beer line middle early third quarter. We
- 57:22Speaker 1: were in one of like the kiosks and she was
- 57:25Speaker 1: getting low. We kind of knew that could kind of
- 57:27Speaker 1: tell that. And we're waiting in line and there's a
- 57:29Speaker 1: Michigan fan in front of us, and he could have
- 57:31Speaker 1: got to I guess there's a group of three of them.
- 57:34Speaker 1: He was with two Nebraska fans or was talking to
- 57:36Speaker 1: him anyways, and they all could have got two, you know,
- 57:38Speaker 1: but they saved him for for me and Cody. So wow,
- 57:44Speaker 1: meet me and Christian.
- 57:45Speaker 2: It wasn't Cody. Sorry, sorry Christian look at that. But yeah,
- 57:48Speaker 2: he's like, nope, you guys can have these last two.
- 57:50Speaker 2: So again, very very nice of him. Yeah, I will
- 57:55Speaker 2: say the concession lines were better, but it was weird.
- 57:57Speaker 1: It wasn't the one the one, the one spot that
- 58:00Speaker 1: we've gotten our drinks and stuff on the way in
- 58:04Speaker 1: where they had three people working before and there was
- 58:06Speaker 1: like no line, only had one person this time, and
- 58:09Speaker 1: the line was huge, which it was at North Stadium
- 58:13Speaker 1: like underneath the stadium, probably one that wasn't seeing a
- 58:16Speaker 1: lot of traffic and they probably were like, okay, three
- 58:18Speaker 1: of us worked there, didn't get much traffic.
- 58:20Speaker 2: Let's do it in reverse. Well then it was really bad.
- 58:23Speaker 2: So yeah, I don't know.
- 58:24Speaker 1: I think it was a little better, but still good
- 58:29Speaker 1: to get the corner the cop I've gotten the popcorn
- 58:30Speaker 1: in the past two games of popcorns.
- 58:32Speaker 3: That was delicious. Shout out the concession stand. Awesome popcorn
- 58:38Speaker 3: and their burger. I got a burger there too, great burger.
- 58:41Speaker 3: Now now that the alcohol influence that, yeah, it might
- 58:44Speaker 3: have been a terrible burger, but in the moment it
- 58:45Speaker 3: was the best burger I ever had. Also, if you
- 58:48Speaker 3: need to find out how to get four beers, talk
- 58:50Speaker 3: to me.
- 58:55Speaker 1: Also, I guess last comment. I was gonna mention this
- 58:58Speaker 1: at the top and forgot. That's a little initial reaction video.
- 59:01Speaker 1: I'm not gonna post it separately because it was not
- 59:04Speaker 1: very good, but it is comical. We recorded it at
- 59:09Speaker 1: a Taco John's on on Sunday morning, and so if
- 59:13Speaker 1: you will had probably better to watch the video portion
- 59:15Speaker 1: of it, then actually listen to the audio because you
- 59:17Speaker 1: might hear some of the Taco John's elevator music in
- 59:20Speaker 1: the background.
- 59:21Speaker 2: But it will be added on here at the end
- 59:23Speaker 2: of this for some entertainment for the spot.
- 59:26Speaker 3: So that food I got. That was not all for me.
- 59:31Speaker 4: You say that.
- 59:34Speaker 3: I didn't order eight burritos for myself.
- 59:38Speaker 2: All right, we'll be back Thursday morning. Bye week. Let's
- 59:41Speaker 2: get better. Go be red.
- 59:44Speaker 4: Juvr, go be Red?
- 59:50Speaker 3: All right, Huskers lose thirty twenty seven. I think that's
- 59:55Speaker 3: what the score was, not hund percent sure. The main
- 59:59Speaker 3: thing taken it from the game is I'm actually happy
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: walking away, like I would not be pissed the boss
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: Husker fan. I am a Hoscar fan. I'm not pissed.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: So this is the main thing take away. The D
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: line absolutely was the reason why the Huskers lost. That's
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: the only thing to take away. Everyone else played great.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: The D line, that's the problem. They did not hold contained.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Justice Hill what's what their backs name? Justice Hill? Whatever
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: fuck his name is anyway, I didn't mean to cuss.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: Apparently he can't cuss any more of this podcast. They
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: didn't hold contained and that's the main reason why I lost.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: Price I don't know, can't throw the ball still, he
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: sucks and I was down that hill. That guy sucks.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: He can run, And that's the main thing. They knew
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: it was coming to that game. They were gonna try
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: to run the ball doing Ryola. I'll play price Underwood
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: all over that field like he played a great game.
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: He had no time at all, which is which is
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: another bad part of the game. The one D line
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: failed the team to day yesterday, the special teams too.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: And I'm sure Eckler is gonna rip connectus how he
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: said her favorite name Kanakus, connectus whatever he says, though
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: right here, thank you, all right, And this is not
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: all for me, but I I think this proves Nebraska.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: Has not.
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: Got to where they need to be yet. Why they're
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: getting there. The online D line big problems. That's all
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: I'm going to take away. And you know what, what
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: I've said about three the three, three five might come truth.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: I don't know if you can play at the big ten.
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: I really don't because you need to my team against Michigan,
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: you need to bring down another guy. Well, then I
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: leave people of the in the second yary but they
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: didn't throw the ball because they didn't hold their freaking contained.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: We didn't hold our contain again, I'm sorry Jackson. Other
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: than that, my first experience in motal Stadium in four
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: years was great, good time. It was hotter than how
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: I was. Heck I'm sorry again. The burger was great.
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: They made some good burgers. Now the beer price is
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: the beer lined a little long. If people need to
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: know how to get four beers, talk to me, because
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: you can. You can get four beers anyway. The crowd,
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: it was not as loud asile I thought it was
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: gonna be. I really think. I mean, it was loud,
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: but it wasn't as loud as I thought it was
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: gonna be. The No By back out. Other than that,
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: it's all around good day. If I am a Husker
- 1:03:27Speaker 3: fan that game, I'm walking out happy. They lost the game,
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: but they played well. It's just all on defensive offensive line.
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: That's the main thing I took it for that game.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: The gat better than Frenches, big time. All right, go
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: bike great Intri Sadow
