John 10:5 “A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers.” The Pharisees were strangers to the now-seeing-man. He was fleeing from them because his heart had been taught to recognize Jesus for who He is. The voices of the Pharisees were now foreign to him. He could no more follow them than a sheep would follow a stranger out of the fold.
