- 0:00Dayna Roselli: It's episode 263 of Vegas Reveal.
- 0:03Dayna Roselli: The future of hospitality is here.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: Now we are listening to you and we're giving you exactly what you want.
- 0:08Sean McAllister: From a joking robot at the front desk to restaurants with a view and AI technology to predict the amenities and activities you want.
- 0:18Dayna Roselli: We take a deep dive into the Autonomous Hotel this week on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:24Sean McAllister: Vegas Revealed starts now.
- 0:27Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 263.
- 0:30Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli, along with Sean McAllister here.
- 0:34Dayna Roselli: And hey, some breaking news came in today.
- 0:37Dayna Roselli: The plaza is going to continue to do its summer fireworks on Fridays.
- 0:41Dayna Roselli: Remember, they weren't sure if they were going to bring it back, and uh Jonathan Jostle said, you know, people seem to really like it, so there's a chance it could be a thing, and it looks like it is.
- 0:50Sean McAllister: Well, and he even told us that it could end up being a nightly thing like we expected, like Disney World or Disneyland, you know?
- 0:59Sean McAllister: Just think of the plaza as the Disneyland of downtown Las Vegas.
- 1:04Sean McAllister: Right.
- 1:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 1:06Dayna Roselli: And it's starting back up on Friday night, May 2nd.
- 1:08Dayna Roselli: It'll run through September 26th for now.
- 1:11Dayna Roselli: So it seems like they're doing it during the really warm months, but um, like Sean just mentioned, we've talked to Jonathan before and he said, eh, maybe at some point we'll make it a regular thing and just keep it going.
- 1:21Dayna Roselli: So we'll see.
- 1:22Sean McAllister: But it's nice because that is a great addition to the downtown scene, the downtown environment.
- 1:27Sean McAllister: It just makes the atmosphere even that much more lively.
- 1:31Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 1:31Sean McAllister: You know, coming out from under the Fremont canopy and seeing those fireworks going off.
- 1:36Sean McAllister: That's a it's a pretty cool thing that they're doing down there.
- 1:38Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I I think it's a great idea.
- 1:40Dayna Roselli: And you're right.
- 1:41Dayna Roselli: It just it's something, and it's it's great for business because everyone gathers right outside.
- 1:45Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 1:46Sean McAllister: And he has the carousel bar out front.
- 1:47Sean McAllister: So I mean people are going over, grabbing a drink, watching the watching the fireworks.
- 1:52Sean McAllister: Smart.
- 1:53Sean McAllister: Jonathan knows what he's doing.
- 1:55Dayna Roselli: So true.
- 1:56Dayna Roselli: Hey, speaking of Fremont Street, um, wanted to mention something else just came across that they are doing some WrestleMania activations as well.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: WrestleMania coming up here in April.
- 2:06Dayna Roselli: We've been talking about it.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: It's uh at Allegiant Stadium, but there's stuff happening all over town.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: T-Mobile, the convention center, Fountain Blue, and now I'm seeing Fremont Street.
- 2:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, I knew that there were going to be a lot of uh WWE activations happening surrounding WrestleMania, but it is like a full-on Las Vegas takeover by the WWE, and that's kind of fun.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 2:29Dayna Roselli: And it's gonna include these new stunning displays on the Viva Vision Canopy at Fremont Street, too.
- 2:35Dayna Roselli: So I guess they have something planned for that.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: They're doing live entertainment up there.
- 2:40Dayna Roselli: Um, they have uh a custom WWE championship title belt photo opportunity for folks.
- 2:48Sean McAllister: All right.
- 2:48Dayna Roselli: So that'll be good.
- 2:49Dayna Roselli: Um, the rock band Living Color is doing first street stage at 9 p.m.
- 2:54Dayna Roselli: on Friday, April 18th.
- 2:56Dayna Roselli: So a lot of different things happening there, and as we mentioned, kind of all over the place.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: So, bottom line, uh, the week of April 14th, WWE is laying the smack down on Las Vegas.
- 3:09Sean McAllister: All over is the moral of the story here.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: I keep seeing the teases for it.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: And you know, Cody Rhodes is in our algorithm because we interviewed him and followed him, and I'm like, okay, what's going on?
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: So now the American Nightmare is he had mentioned that it's John Cena's last WrestleMania when we interviewed him, and now they're gonna battle it out at WrestleMania, apparently.
- 3:28Sean McAllister: They're battling it out.
- 3:29Sean McAllister: I mean, John Cena last time they were in the ring together, John Cena took a gave a crotch shot to Cody Rhodes and you know really fueled the animosity between them.
- 3:42Sean McAllister: It's a thing, and so now they're gonna go head to head in the ring at WrestleMania here in Las Vegas.
- 3:48Sean McAllister: Everybody's going to be talking about it.
- 3:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, this is gonna be exciting.
- 3:52Dayna Roselli: I love that we're hosting this because it's huge, and I can't wait to see what the culture is like with everyone in town, and so it should be really fun.
- 4:00Dayna Roselli: Uh, very dramatic.
- 4:01Sean McAllister: Very dramatic, always, always.
- 4:03Dayna Roselli: How was March Madness?
- 4:05Dayna Roselli: We wanted to quickly uh talk about it because we said last week you were heading out to watch a bunch of the games on Friday.
- 4:10Sean McAllister: Yeah, and at that point I didn't know what exactly my plans were going to be.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: Well, I ended up going over to uh the Westgate because they have Hoop Central going on.
- 4:20Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 4:21Sean McAllister: Not only do they just pack people in at their uh race sport superbook, uh sports superbook over there, um, but they turn the international theater where Elvis used to perform, they turn that into a massive viewing experience too.
- 4:38Sean McAllister: And I mean, this is actually a really good deal if you're thinking about it for next year.
- 4:44Sean McAllister: For 25 bucks, you get a guaranteed seat inside of the international theater, and then they have that comes with a a drink ticket, and they have food that changes throughout the day too, because here in Las Vegas, the games tip off at 9 15 in the morning.
- 5:00Dayna Roselli: And now you were up early.
- 5:02Sean McAllister: It was all day.
- 5:03Sean McAllister: You were like, Oh, I'm already here.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: I'm like, what?
- 5:05Dayna Roselli: It was like 8 30.
- 5:06Sean McAllister: You were still on your first cup of coffee.
- 5:08Dayna Roselli: I was like, wait, what's happening?
- 5:10Dayna Roselli: You're at the Westgate?
- 5:12Sean McAllister: And yeah, so apparently I saw some stuff on uh social media that from people who are hopping around to a bunch of different properties, and they said by far South Point and Westgate were the two places that were that really just attracted the highest volume of uh fans for March Madness.
- 5:36Sean McAllister: And I can attest, the the International Theater, it was full.
- 5:39Sean McAllister: It wasn't like pack packed, but like every row in the in the theater had people in it.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:47Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 5:47Sean McAllister: So it was full.
- 5:48Sean McAllister: The balcony was even open, so it was great.
- 5:51Sean McAllister: They had five huge screens across the the stage and on the each of the sidewalls.
- 5:56Dayna Roselli: So do you have a bracket going?
- 5:58Dayna Roselli: Like how's that doing?
- 5:59Sean McAllister: Actually, uh I have well it's the same bracket in two different family uh competitions, and I believe at last check I was uh either in first or second place.
- 6:14Sean McAllister: Um I'm at eighty-two percent on my bracket.
- 6:18Sean McAllister: Um let me see, get into my groups.
- 6:21Sean McAllister: Oh, I'm fifth place in in my husband's family.
- 6:25Sean McAllister: I'm fifth place in that league, and I'm uh second place in the bracket that we do with my family.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: Oh, good.
- 6:34Dayna Roselli: So it's working.
- 6:35Sean McAllister: I think my mom is beating me.
- 6:36Dayna Roselli: Oh boy.
- 6:37Sean McAllister: Because she did an autopick on her bracket.
- 6:39Dayna Roselli: Usually that's how you get to do it.
- 6:42Sean McAllister: It's working.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's working for sure.
- 6:44Sean McAllister: But anyway, Westgate was great.
- 6:45Sean McAllister: Uh, you know, the madness of basketball college hoops is marching on and uh wraps up early April.
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: Hey, this weekend um wanted to mention Sean and I are gonna be at a podcast summit and mixer.
- 6:59Dayna Roselli: We're excited about this.
- 7:00Dayna Roselli: The library district is putting it on, and I think it's like it's almost filled up, but it's at the East Las Vegas Library.
- 7:08Dayna Roselli: Um but we're excited to be a part of this panel along with other podcasters and a moderator and excited to talk about podcasting because it's so hot right now, and Sean and I kind of got into it in 2020 and didn't even know we were gonna be involved for this long, but it's a lot of fun.
- 7:26Dayna Roselli: And anyway, it'll be good to interact and see what kinds of questions people have.
- 7:30Sean McAllister: It will.
- 7:31Sean McAllister: It'll be interesting, and obviously, uh podcasts have caught on and become so much more mainstream even than when we started five years ago.
- 7:41Sean McAllister: And you know, it was already there was already momentum happening then, but then it really kicked into high gear.
- 7:47Sean McAllister: Um so yeah, it will.
- 7:48Sean McAllister: It'll be great to share what what we have learned through trial and error and hopefully, you know, uh let some other people avoid the not I wouldn't say that we really have run into tons of pitfalls, but there's been a learning curve that we've dealt with.
- 8:06Dayna Roselli: But then I see people sometimes be like, Well, nobody we don't need another podcast, you know?
- 8:10Dayna Roselli: And it's like, well, if people are interested in it's an outlet and it's a it's a great marketing tool for them.
- 8:15Dayna Roselli: I mean, you know, teach their own, add more podcasts, why not?
- 8:19Sean McAllister: Absolutely, yeah.
- 8:20Sean McAllister: I mean the more the merrier.
- 8:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 8:22Dayna Roselli: Some people try it out and then they kind of give up in a month or two, or they just start fizzling off on episodes, you know.
- 8:27Dayna Roselli: We we've been committed.
- 8:29Dayna Roselli: I think I can say anything if we're gonna say anything uh useful at this seminar on Saturday, it's gonna be consistency.
- 8:37Sean McAllister: Consistency and don't do it for the money.
- 8:40Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 8:41Sean McAllister: Do it for the passion.
- 8:42Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 8:42Sean McAllister: And that's what we've said from the start.
- 8:43Sean McAllister: We're passionate about Las Vegas, so that's why we do the podcast.
- 8:47Dayna Roselli: Then after that, we're heading to the Nevada Ballet Black and White Ball.
- 8:52Dayna Roselli: They are honoring Debbie Gibson as woman of the year.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: She is a Las Vegas resident, she is a pop icon, and she's a friend of ours.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: So we look forward to chatting with Debbie and being a part of that celebration as well.
- 9:05Sean McAllister: And then we are also uh heading over to the F1 headquarters uh later this week to check out their new uh interactive experience.
- 9:16Sean McAllister: That's it's the F1 experience over there at the F F1 headquarters.
- 9:21Sean McAllister: Um they're gonna have go-karts, there's a whole bunch of a whole bunch of interactive stuff that we'll get into after we go over there.
- 9:29Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 9:30Sean McAllister: Um, but it's a way to activate that entire space basically all year round.
- 9:35Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 9:35Sean McAllister: So it's not just being used uh during the race weekend.
- 9:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I think it's a good idea because it's a nice, you know, uh area that they've constructed over there.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: It's a beautiful building, yeah.
- 9:45Dayna Roselli: We've been to special events there uh many times and it's great.
- 9:49Dayna Roselli: So it it'll be good.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: And I know they have like a store and food and different kinds of like high-tech stuff.
- 9:54Dayna Roselli: So we'll we'll check it out and we'll keep you posted on that.
- 9:57Dayna Roselli: Well, speaking of technology, let's talk about the Autonomous Hotel.
- 10:01Dayna Roselli: This is all the buzz in Las Vegas.
- 10:04Dayna Roselli: It is a hotel that is opening this summer, and it's a mix of a hotel and an Airbnb.
- 10:12Sean McAllister: Yeah, and this is a a market that is uh really lacking options here in uh southern Nevada.
- 10:21Sean McAllister: Um Airbnbs aren't really super popular here.
- 10:26Dayna Roselli: Um we don't allow them, you know, in a lot of places.
- 10:29Dayna Roselli: I think it's like zoned only.
- 10:31Dayna Roselli: Zoning, yeah.
- 10:32Sean McAllister: Um, so this is uh a property that is going to act as you know a hotel where you can get uh do a nightly stay or do an extended stay, almost like a condo kind of a situation.
- 10:44Sean McAllister: It's called Autonomous Hotel.
- 10:47Sean McAllister: And if you live in Las Vegas or outside, you may have already heard about this, seen news clippings or whatever, because this hotel is going to be uh driven by uh artificial intelligence.
- 11:00Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 11:01Dayna Roselli: But you also can opt in or opt out.
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: So people have been saying, Well, I don't want this, or I would never stay there.
- 11:07Dayna Roselli: But but we we did an interview and we want you to listen to how it all works.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: I mean, because that's important.
- 11:12Dayna Roselli: But uh quick nuggets, um, it is it is on West Russell Road near Decatur, so just a few blocks from Allegiant Stadium, which is gonna be a great location.
- 11:22Dayna Roselli: Um, you can have big parties of people, you can have two people, one person.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: There's gonna be restaurants, a lounge, two pools, a family one, one for kids.
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: So it has a lot of options.
- 11:33Dayna Roselli: And actually, people outside of staying at the hotel are gonna be able to go there too.
- 11:38Dayna Roselli: It's got a gorgeous view of the strip.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: We did a hard hat tour, but we also did an interview and we feel like we asked all the questions that you might be like wondering or have in your head.
- 11:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, Philippe Ziade is the founder of Autonomous Hotel.
- 11:53Sean McAllister: We sat down and talked all things about this innovative property and the technology that drives it.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: We're going after the Middle America, higher end of Middle America, if you want, and basically the Airbnb guests, right?
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: If you're looking, if you're going on Airbnb to book, you're looking for my product, right?
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: So when you go on Airbnb, you don't look for a brand or a name or a flag.
- 12:16SPEAKER_00: You look for the right product at the right price.
- 12:18SPEAKER_00: You're not looking for Hilton on Airbnb, you're not looking for Marriott, you're not looking for the W hotel.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: You're just going to see something that fits you because it gives you that variety of product, right, at a good price.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: The downside of that is consistency in the guest experience.
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: Because hosts are different.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you have a good experience, sometimes it's not as good of an experience.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: Uh so basically, with this concept, with the AI-powered autonomous, what we what we've done is we give you the best of both worlds.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: So we give you the flexibility and the variety of product of Airbnb, where you can book anything from a studio to a six-bedroom penthouse if you want, uh, at the cost of an Airbnb, but with a layer of consistency and guest experience, better than a five-star hotel.
- 13:02SPEAKER_00: It's all driven, enabled through AI, basically, and technology.
- 13:07SPEAKER_00: So it's a hybrid of both, and we're going after that market, and that's why we think that market for us is wrapping around the strip in our local market, let's say Vegas.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: If you want to book Airbnb, they're all like 15, 20, 25 minutes away.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: So we want these locations similar to this one where you're two, three minutes away from the strip, you're off the strip, but we give you the best of everything, right?
- 13:29SPEAKER_00: Location, product, price, service, consistency, guest experience, personalization.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: And that's why we're now we're gonna wrap them around the strip.
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: So if here, then the art district, and now we're looking at the other side on Harmon on the location.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: I think uh we're trying to finalize the deal.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: So we're just gonna wrap them around.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: Well, it's interesting because we have a lot of people actually write to us because they know we have a show and a podcast and say, hey, we're coming in for a big birthday bash.
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: There's a lot of us.
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: Where can we stay where like the rooms connect?
- 13:58Dayna Roselli: And a lot of times John and I are like, it's a tough one, you know.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: Um you have to get like a really nice suite that's gonna be super expensive on the strip and fit all those people, or try and find rooms that are next to each other.
- 14:11Dayna Roselli: So this is gonna serve that purpose, I think, for big groups that want to come in and celebrate.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: We're gonna serve your guests and followers, right?
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: But yes, I'll show you, and we're gonna walk and I'll show you on uh how you can connect the entire floor if you want to.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: You can have you can connect 10, 12 units if you want to have a huge bachelorette party.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: We have a fifth floor lounge, it's gonna be like a supper club, beautiful music, an impressive view of the strip.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: Uh, we're gonna have four restaurants minimum.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: Uh, we're gonna have cafes, coffee shops.
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: Uh we have the best Lebanese with with world-renowned Lebanese chef that we're gonna have here on property.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: We have two pools, uh, we have the lobby bar that's gonna have a lot of activations with DJs and music.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: Uh so really offering, like I said, the best of both worlds where where you can get the product, but also have a layer of, if you want, lifestyle, a lifestyle that Vegas brings uh to market.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: So the team that we we assembled best team around because we wanted to uh the team understand the long-term, short-term kind of like that kind of product, like like a homey, like home away from home kind of a feel.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: But also we wanted a layer that understands the Las Vegas strip and understand the activation in Vegas and what does it mean.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: And we combine that team together, and now we I think we can offer the best of both.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: And that's why we had that layer of hospitality, FB, um, pool parties, um, rooftop lounge, and that product at the cost of an Airbnb.
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: And that's the key, is is offering that better product or or that gap in the market that we feel there is a gap at the cost of it of a typical Airbnb.
- 15:49Dayna Roselli: And I think I saw the pool.
- 15:50Dayna Roselli: What you have a family pool and an adult pool.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: So you're sort of that's wonderful.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: We have a cool round pool and has a stage in the middle of the pool, so we can put and remove the stage with a catwalk.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: So we can have events, we can have a lot of stuff on property, and then we have the family pool on the other side.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: But all these, we have three different courtyards, but they all open up to each other too.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: On the east side, we have the courtyard bar, and that's a concept that we brought from Europe.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: It's similar to what we've seen in Marbella, where the entire courtyard uh can host three, four hundred people, and it has trees and outdoor kind of a settings with beautiful lighting, but that courtyard can change the programming of that courtyard, can change type of food and can change music and vibe.
- 16:36SPEAKER_00: So you can have the Lebanese night with hookah, Lebanese food, the music, the belly dancer, or you can have the Italian night or the sushi night, right?
- 16:44SPEAKER_00: So it's totally different experience.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: We do minor changes on the design, but now you feel that not every time you go to the courtyard you have the same experience.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: It keeps changing.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: And and for Vegas, that's that's cool.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: You've seen them in Miami, we've seen them in Europe, but really adding that layer of experience, if you want.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: And also Vegas, our market is going through a transition of really having good uh destinations outside the strip, right?
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: With with the transition that the city is doing with all the people moving here.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: And us locals, we don't want to really go every time on this trip, every time we want to have a good experience.
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: And we had a gap in the market, like there is no offerings that that's at the caliber that we want to go to and have fun and enjoy the night off this trip.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: And we start seeing these experiences now popping, and and it's proving that it makes money, it's successful, but also service the local market.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: And we want to also be that destination, so we want to be hybrid for the guests that stays with us, but also we want to appeal to locals like hey, this is a spot you can go and find the nice restaurants, these find the vibe of people visiting, and it's a mixture of locals and visitors and and create that that ambiance, and that's what we're working on.
- 17:57Dayna Roselli: Okay, let's get into the technology and let's first start with the misconceptions.
- 18:01Dayna Roselli: Is it how much you want to put out there and you want the room to know about you?
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: Let me start with telling you this.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: If you're holding a smartphone, you already gave all of this away, right?
- 18:09SPEAKER_00: So we only want to add improve that experience.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: And and I'm gonna divide my answer into two parts.
- 18:16SPEAKER_00: The first part is we give full control to the guest, uh, meaning we don't we're not gonna own any of the data.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: We're only a custodian of the data we collect.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: The collection of the data is is based on the permission from the guest allowing us to do so.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: That's one.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Two, the the guests can go at any time go back and erase the data.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: We give them access to go delete the data if they want to.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: And we as well, we have the normal experience.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: You can go to the lobby, get a physical key from the machine we have there or from the front desk, and just turn off everything and then come and have, you know, these comfortable, as you see, the space, the units.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: We're we have the biggest units in the markets, we on average, the one bedroom size, you see, it's it's more like a like a high-end luxury apartment.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: So the product on its own is different than the market.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: But but yeah, we give full control to the client and to the guest, and and we cannot collect any data without their permission.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: That's one part.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: The other part is that we need to clarify is we're here to enhance and give a better product that's missing on the market, meaning give a personalized experience at a lower cost, right?
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: That's the objective.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: And our technology is not here to replace human interaction, but to enhance it.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: And there's a big difference between the two.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: And and we truly believe in emotions, selling emotion.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: I think the difference between having an efficient or functional experience or an unforgettable experience is the emotions that that humans bring to the table, right?
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: It's the body language, it's the smile, it's how you present, it's that it's that partnership between technology and humans that we're going after that gives you this unforgettable experience.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: We don't we do we don't want just an efficient experience, we want an unforgettable one.
- 20:10SPEAKER_00: And what if you look today?
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: I'm a big believer as a tech guy and as a real estate developer, we live in in the augmented era, right?
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: And what does what that means is our natural capabilities as human are being augmented by technology, right?
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: Computational power, which is AI, will help us think.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: Robots will help us make and deliver consistency on time.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: And then most importantly, is the digital, if you want, nervous system that will connect us to the world, or in this instant to the guest, far beyond the natural senses in ways that it's impossible without these digital uh nervous systems, right?
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: So we take all of this and we augment the capabilities of our team at the end of the day to give a better experience.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: And I hope I didn't go too much into tech, but it's just as simple as that, and you can opt out of it at any time.
- 21:11Dayna Roselli: So you're not gonna walk in and it's gonna be a ghost town and the whole thing's run by the door's gonna open and everything.
- 21:16Dayna Roselli: I mean, there are gonna be people here.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: They're gonna be the best people in the world.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: We're in Las Vegas, right?
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: So we have the best talent in the world in hospitality, and and then I think we assemble the best of the best to be here, smile for you, and and then and then like I said, it's a partnership.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: We we're gonna have a robot at the front desk, but that's a cool robot that's sitting next to the human, and then they they both gotta talk to you, and then it's gonna be cool.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: The robot is gonna know you, know what you ask, what you want.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: We're gonna be able to offer you the coffee that you like before you even come in for the first time.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: We we're gonna know everything if you allow us to, by by with the process that we have.
- 21:53SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna explain it to you if you allow me, like from end to end, how it works, right?
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: So, and I'm gonna give Examples, so it's simple to understand.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: But it all comes down to personalization.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: Before AI or before developing this system, the end-to-end system, what we what you used to do is personalization always came with luxury because it costs more money, you gotta know everything about your guests, you're gonna have focus on the guest, right?
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: So it's luxury, more expensive, personalization.
- 22:27SPEAKER_00: And even that personalization is nothing close to what we're able to offer now.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: So it all comes down to personalization, and the personalization for us, we divide it into four different phases.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: And the AI experience starts way before you check in.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: So when you book, so we have four phases.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: We have the booking process, then we have what we call the onboarding process, then we have the actual stay, and then we have the offboarding process.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: So let's start with the booking process.
- 22:57SPEAKER_00: What we did with we created the AI powered engine we call Obrain.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: And what we did is we changed the way you book a hotel of that experience.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Usually in a typical hotel, what you do is they offer you four or five room types.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: And with the with the price, so you pick what you have.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: It's kind of like a one-size fits-all, and then you just pick whatever is closer to what you need.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: What we did is we we developed what we call as attribute-based booking.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: So basically, you tell us what you want.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: You can go and say, okay, I want a studio, I want one bedroom, two bedroom, three-bedroom, up to a six-bedroom penthouse, right?
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: You pick what you want, and our AI on the fly will puzzle it for you.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: The entire floor that we have is interconnected units, right?
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: So we develop the hardware to open and close the doors and the software to be able to really develop what you need.
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: It kind of seems like that's a no-brainer in that that hotels should have always been doing that.
- 24:00SPEAKER_02: Like, what do you want, what do you want us to stock your instead?
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: You know, like what kinds of coffee and foods do you?
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Instead of like offering you what they think is gonna be good for most of them, now we are listening to you and we're giving you exactly what you want, right?
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's great.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: So an attribute-based book.
- 24:16Dayna Roselli: You say you save too.
- 24:17Dayna Roselli: There's not waste.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: Of course.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: But but without AI, it's simply impossible.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: It's just there's not enough computational power and human brains and systems existing to do that.
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so the attribute-based booking, uh the entire floor is interconnected, and and you book what you want: one bedroom, studio, two-bedroom, six-bedroom, penthouse, and the AI will puzzle them together, where we develop the hardware to close and open doors based on your booking, right?
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: So the personalization starts from the physical space before you even book.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: We're telling you, tell us what you want.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: You tell us, we'll put it together for you, right?
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: That's how personalization works with us before you even book and check in, right?
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: Now you booked.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: When you book, we start what we call an onboarding process.
- 25:08SPEAKER_00: And that process has two simultaneous approaches together.
- 25:12SPEAKER_00: And and the first approach is we take the guest permission to scrape the internet and scrape the web and the social media and get every information that's publicly available, right?
- 25:24SPEAKER_00: From comments, pictures, uh, behavior online.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: It will scrape the entire web and come back and say, okay, here's the avatar.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: We call it avatar, which is basically the digital twin of the guest, right?
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: Here's the avatar.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: Then simultaneously, we start a gamified approach with the guest.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: It's very simple, funny, trying to understand what you like.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: You are yes, no, coffee, tea, meat, fish, uh, seafood.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: We ask all these questions and then we give uh free upgrades, perks, discounts on food, free dinners, uh free drinks.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: So we we kind of keep it engaged so we can get that that entire approach completed.
- 26:18SPEAKER_00: And then the AI will take both of them and then create that avatar.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: And the avatar gives us an output of what does really are the guest preferences, right?
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Uh and what do we know about the guest.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: And and the AI will take all of this information, will correlate the information and give us an output.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: And this output is in is in two forms.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: One is to service the guest at a level that they've never experienced before.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: And two is to monetize the guest and understand how we can monetize the guests.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: Are they the wine people?
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: Do they like cigars?
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: Are they like what kind of activities?
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: Golfing, spa, like we understand everything about the guest.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: So now the AI can come and tell us, well, your guest is gonna stay for three days, most likely they're gonna spend$800 and they're gonna spend it on the followings.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: You know, food, uh, activities, uh, rooftop lounge, it'll tell us exactly based on everything, all the computation of all these in correlation of all this data with the output.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: That's the onboarding process.
- 27:24SPEAKER_00: Now you come and stay with us.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: The minute you check in, we start tracking everything from temperature in the room to the way you're lighting, uh, how you take your coffee, what time you wake up, all every request you have done, every behavior you have done, we track it to make sure we give you a better offering.
- 27:41SPEAKER_00: And next time you come stay with us, now we can track also your temperature, we can track your lighting in the room, we know how you take your coffee, everything is part of becomes your avatar, right?
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: So you stay with us and then you check out.
- 27:55SPEAKER_00: Once you check out, we start that offboarding process.
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: And what the offboarding process is similar to the gamified approach when we did the onboarding, but now we're offboarding.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: And what what it does is it captures the gap between the actual stay that you stayed with us and what your avatar told us before.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: The avatar told us you're gonna stay, you've got to do activity one, two, three, four, you're gonna spend so much money.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: Then it says, okay, well, you didn't spend$800, you just spent$500 and you didn't do these activities.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: So the AI needs to understand why, what happened, what went wrong, uh, how can we improve, why there is a gap between the actual stay and what the avatar told us.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: And and when the AI capture all the all the information and the gap, what's doing is actually improving your avatar for your next stay.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: So when you sign off, which is usually the end of your visit or your experience with us, it's actually the start of your next experience.
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: We need to understand how to improve.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: And what the AI will do will keep working to have a hundred percent alignment between your avatar and your actual stay.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: So the more you stay with us, the more they get aligned, but in reality, is the better service we give you.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: And all of that that I'm telling you is at really a cost of regular comparative cost of the market at Airbnb cost.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: So now what we're doing is basically giving you a better product, better service, better experience that's unforgettable at the cost of an average market rate.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: So this is really the concept, starts from it differentiate us from the actual physical space itself, where you can find anything like on Airbnb, from almost like a full home, four or five bedrooms to a studio, and the service of better than a five-star hotel, and it's all enabled through technology and through AI.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: And that's that's the core of the concept.
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: That's what Autonomous is all about.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: And I think this is how we're gonna pioneer the future of hospitality because there is no one full solution end-to-end, like the one we're offering to the market.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: As you stay with us, we keep improving your avatar, right?
- 30:02SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: And and probably now, if you go and stay in a hotel 15 times a year, they'll probably know a little bit about you, right?
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: But what if you stay one time a year?
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: They're not gonna know who you are.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: Nobody's gonna we will know.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: It doesn't matter if you don't, if you don't see you for three, four years and you come back, we know everything about you better than probably any other place in the world.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: But but we definitely want to see you more than once every three years.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying that's the power of that concept, and that's the layer of technology that will enhance the human interaction.
- 30:33SPEAKER_01: What if people are uncomfortable with that?
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: What if they say no, I don't want you to?
- 30:36SPEAKER_01: Can they say no?
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: So we we won't even scrape the internet and do anything if we don't get uh the the the okay from the guest.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: But definitely, so we do not own the data, we're a custodian of the data.
- 30:50SPEAKER_00: So the guest one can opt out of it and come have a physical key in the front uh desk and go like a typical hotel experience with a better product because our rooms are bigger and we have one, two, three, four, five, six bedrooms.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: But also, uh what you can do is even if you try it and and and you're not comfortable with it, you can always go back and erase your data.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: You control the data, we don't.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: We just hold it here for you.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: And our purpose is not to go sell your data, we don't do that, it's just to give you a better experience.
- 31:19Sean McAllister: Who else in the world is utilizing this kind of technology in this way for hospitality purposes?
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: Uh I don't know if anyone doing it to that scale.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: Um I know AI is you we've hear AI around, but it's more like gimmicky, cool approaches where you see a robot here and there that does cocktails for you, or maybe you know, at the check-in, do a couple of things for you.
- 31:41SPEAKER_00: But really, uh because we had to create our own booking engines, the the BMS systems on the back end.
- 31:49SPEAKER_00: The technology goes deep into the operation where let's say uh room cleaning, right?
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: So uh housekeeping, for example, with us, with attribute-based booking, you can book with no house cleaning, or you can have a daily clean, or you can have one clean every three days, or you can simply say clean after me when I leave, like Airbnb.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: And every one of those has different pricing, right?
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: So you custom tailor your stay.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: But when you book the cleaning, the the the team cannot access the room without a cleaning appointment.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: They don't they're not gonna come knock on your door at 10 a.m.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: or 9 a.m.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: because it's the shift to have to go through your room and wake you up like you have in the best of the best hotels in the world.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: They just knock on your door and wake you up.
- 32:31SPEAKER_00: That doesn't happen.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: If there is no appointment, and then you can talk to your virtual assistant and say when you want the cleaning, and they'll come by the appointment time and they will clean the room.
- 32:40SPEAKER_00: And when they go into the room, and we'll show you now, they can scan uh and they come in, so we can track them.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: We know which team is on in which room, and we can track their time from the minute they check into the room and until they're done, they check out.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: So we run an average of performance on these teams.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: And what the AI does, it gives us, let's say, based on check-ins and checkouts, and based on average performance per team per room type, it will tell us the labor force we need on that day, that weekend, that week.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: So it really controls a lot the cost, the efficiency on the back end operation.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: So all these systems, even the FMB, so you can order food from the room from your from your system.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: We track how you take your coffee, how you take your your your uh food.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: And next time you come, we know we know all of that about you.
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: Uh and and when you order the food, it's the same thing.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: You don't have to be in the room, you don't have to you just tell your phone what you want, and we will deliver it to you into the e-butler here.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: We'll show you the e-butler is a two-sided cabinet where any order you you put, uh it will they will come in from the outside scan, put put the order for you, and you can open from the inside and take it.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: You don't even have to be in the room.
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: You can order a towel, let's say, additional towels, and if you're somewhere in a meeting, you remember you want towels, you can simply speak to your phone.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: The towels will be in the e-baller when you come in, you open and take the towel.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: So no one will access the room when you're not here, no one will access the room when you don't let them access the room.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: You can also put do not disturb from somewhere else.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: You don't have to be on property, you just say, Hey, I forgot, please put the do not disturb for me.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: So all these functionalities and the operation, the efficiency in the operation for us is also part of that system.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: It's really an end-to-end system that we created from scratch.
- 34:31SPEAKER_00: The problem uh or the challenge, I would say, with with systems today, with hotels, they don't speak to each other the way you want them to speak.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: Uh, so you cannot really share all this data, you cannot do a correlation or analysis of this data with the output that I'm telling you because they're different systems with different huge national companies, and it's a big undertaking, and it's almost impossible.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: And then there is a lot of our process is where we develop the hardware, we have patents on the hardware we developed, uh, and sensors and and locking mechanism, for example.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: We did a lot of the stuff to enable that that concept.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: It's not it's not easy, but I haven't I've looked a lot and I haven't seen any system out there that that does what we do.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: There's like, like I said, like gimmicky cool stuff here and there with AI, but not the entire ecosystem.
- 35:22Sean McAllister: Obviously, there's a lot of technology in the behind-the-scenes operations here, but what is the the customer interface?
- 35:29Sean McAllister: If I come and stay here, am I uh interacting with a flat screen panel inside the residence, or is there an app?
- 35:39Sean McAllister: How does that work?
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have the best of both worlds.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: You're gonna have the best team out there walking around smiling here for your service, and a tech is is is uh supporting their and improving and elevating the performance.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: But if you also decide that you don't want to talk to anybody, there is a screen in the room, and there is a screen on your phone, and there's a screen on TV.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: Every one of them is an access point to get whatever you want done without without talking or seeing anybody.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: But if you want, you're gonna see people walking around, you're gonna see a lot of uh team members with actually overstaffed more than a typical hotel to make sure we have that service.
- 36:16SPEAKER_00: And like I said, we we assemble the best team, I think, in the city uh because the team is excited to redefine the way you can stay, uh redefine the offerings in the market, and have such a big differentiator than any anything out there.
- 36:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so when I started listening to him, at first I was like, huh, but then I was like, okay, I kind of like that you'll have the coffee I drink in ready for me, you know, like in the room.
- 36:41Dayna Roselli: I I just love this because I was like, why doesn't everyone do that?
- 36:45Dayna Roselli: I mean, it makes sense, saves on waste.
- 36:47Sean McAllister: It absolutely does.
- 36:48Dayna Roselli: Right?
- 36:48Dayna Roselli: And then also you're, I mean, I'm like, hey, they know what I like.
- 36:52Dayna Roselli: This is and they have it here for me.
- 36:54Dayna Roselli: This is even better.
- 36:55Sean McAllister: Well, and this is really think of it like this.
- 36:59Sean McAllister: This is almost like a concierge assistant.
- 37:04Sean McAllister: If there wasn't AI technology being used to deliver this level of service, they would need to have an actual person doing tons of research online to try and find out what it is that you like, what your preferences are.
- 37:19Sean McAllister: Uh or maybe sitting down having a conversation with you ahead of your booking.
- 37:24Sean McAllister: That all takes a lot of time.
- 37:27Sean McAllister: And it's time that travelers may not necessarily want to spend.
- 37:32Sean McAllister: You know, but it's these little touches that with the use of AI technology that can, you know, scour the internet for stuff that's already out there.
- 37:42Sean McAllister: Uh, it can pull all these little nuggets of information and just make your stay that much better by having all the things that you like readily available.
- 37:51Dayna Roselli: Yeah, listen, I I think about my Instagram.
- 37:54Dayna Roselli: You know what I like.
- 37:55Dayna Roselli: There's a side of me that's out there, but I'm also actually very private.
- 37:58Dayna Roselli: So I don't put out there things that I don't want people to know about my life.
- 38:03Dayna Roselli: And so if you scoured the internet, you're not gonna find those things anyway.
- 38:08Dayna Roselli: Do you know what I mean?
- 38:09Sean McAllister: But AI will reserve you a cabana at the adults only pool.
- 38:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and they're gonna know I loved ice, I like iced coffee with a splash of almond milk, you know.
- 38:18Dayna Roselli: They're gonna know that we cover entertainment news in Las Vegas and we love, you know, big splashy things and events and good food, but we're not food experts and all the little things like that.
- 38:29Dayna Roselli: I know, like I like my mom's like pasta sundae, you know, pasta and meatballs, and you know, maybe they'll pull from that.
- 38:35Dayna Roselli: Um, they can probably tell what time we wake up and go to bed by the time we post.
- 38:41Dayna Roselli: By the posting time.
- 38:43Dayna Roselli: So, anyway, you know, it's all out there anyway.
- 38:45Dayna Roselli: That's how I look at it now, once I was listening more about it.
- 38:47Sean McAllister: And some other uh cool tidbits that we learned while we were over there on this uh tour and for the the conversation.
- 38:54Sean McAllister: There's going to be a robot at the check-in desk.
- 38:57Sean McAllister: And not only is the robot going to greet you when you walk in, it's going to already know things about you and be able to carry on a conversation and throw some jokes in.
- 39:08Sean McAllister: Right.
- 39:08Sean McAllister: So I thought that was fun.
- 39:09Sean McAllister: A joking robot.
- 39:11Dayna Roselli: Because you know what they'll get?
- 39:12Dayna Roselli: A lot of social media posts.
- 39:13Dayna Roselli: People enjoying that.
- 39:14Dayna Roselli: It's great publicity, so it's very smart.
- 39:17Sean McAllister: Absolutely is.
- 39:18Dayna Roselli: I think we're gonna have uh more conversations about this as time goes on, but we hope you enjoyed that interview.
- 39:25Dayna Roselli: Um, and I think this is really gonna work well for a lot of our listeners, even overseas, that love to come in for 10 days, uh, folks that love to come in for conventions, and maybe you're here for a sporting event or a summer camp.
- 39:38Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's gonna be really good.
- 39:40Dayna Roselli: So and he has big plans for the future.
- 39:43Dayna Roselli: There's more to come.
- 39:44Dayna Roselli: Um, and we had a good chat with him about that.
- 39:47Dayna Roselli: We'll we'll we won't spoil any of that news that we'll leave that to him.
- 39:50Dayna Roselli: But you know, his vision is it's it's really good and it's really smart.
- 39:54Sean McAllister: Yeah, his vision to expand this concept plus other things that he has in the works.
- 40:00Sean McAllister: I mean, Philippe is he's on it.
- 40:02Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 40:03Sean McAllister: Um, you can go to autonomoushotel.com.
- 40:06Sean McAllister: That is O-T-O-N-O-M-U-S Hotel.com, and they have bookings open right now uh for stays starting in early July.
- 40:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it's 30% off right now, so you might want to hop on that.
- 40:22Sean McAllister: I was looking like a four night stay.
- 40:25Sean McAllister: Uh I just plugged in random dates in August, and um it ended up being pretty reasonable.
- 40:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I think I was doing the same.
- 40:35Sean McAllister: Especially for the amenities that you get.
- 40:36Sean McAllister: I mean, you have a kitchenette inside of your room.
- 40:38Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 40:40Dayna Roselli: A pretty big kitchen.
- 40:41Sean McAllister: I mean, it's basically an apartment.
- 40:42Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 40:43Sean McAllister: Any unit you get is an apartment.
- 40:45Sean McAllister: You get a living room, a bedroom, a kitchenette.
- 40:48Sean McAllister: It just depends on you know how many bedrooms.
- 40:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 40:50Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 40:51Dayna Roselli: I was doing the same with uh I was on the phone with my mother yesterday, and she was like, Well, put like put in a weekend in, you know, so we did August too.
- 40:58Dayna Roselli: And anyway, um uh four nights or three nights, it was like came out to like nine hundred and fifty-nine bucks.
- 41:04Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 41:05Sean McAllister: I think I did four nights in August and it was less than nine hundred.
- 41:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and it was, you know, taxes were in there.
- 41:11Dayna Roselli: Um, they don't have resort fee.
- 41:12Dayna Roselli: So, um, but that's with the 30% off.
- 41:15Dayna Roselli: So take advantage of the special if you want to check it out for sure.
- 41:18Dayna Roselli: Hey, quick mention before we get to tips, uh just wanted you to know uh if you love Wahlbergers, you know, we love Donnie Wahlberg and Mark Wahlberg, our new Las Vegas resident.
- 41:28Dayna Roselli: Uh, they have Wahlbergers and Ayu Day Club at Resorts World now has Wahlbergers on the menu.
- 41:35Dayna Roselli: They just opened for the season, and so uh, and Paul, obviously, uh Wahlberg, their brother, is also a big part of Wahlbergers, kind of the face of it as well.
- 41:45Dayna Roselli: Um, but anyway, it's on the menu there now, um, and they're just exploding here in Las Vegas.
- 41:50Dayna Roselli: They've got a lot of different locations, but this is the first day club they're partnering with.
- 41:55Dayna Roselli: So if you're into it, now you have a choice to eat a burger and lay in the sun and listen to music.
- 42:00Sean McAllister: That's really smart.
- 42:01Sean McAllister: It is.
- 42:02Sean McAllister: They're gonna do crazy business over there at the day club.
- 42:05Sean McAllister: All right, uh, let's get to tips.
- 42:10Sean McAllister: Well, we were just talking about day clubs, Dana.
- 42:14Sean McAllister: And um, this isn't a day club, but it is a patio next to the pool where you can grab some food.
- 42:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's actually called patio.
- 42:23Dayna Roselli: That's the name of the restaurant, but the M Resort down, gosh, south of Bandalay Bay, miles down.
- 42:30Dayna Roselli: What would you call that?
- 42:31Dayna Roselli: Like southern Las Vegas, the southern tip of Las Vegas.
- 42:35Sean McAllister: It's like that's the first thing you hit when you drive into the Las Vegas Valley.
- 42:39Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's a great M resort.
- 42:40Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's a great hotel casino.
- 42:42Dayna Roselli: People love it.
- 42:43Dayna Roselli: They have a wonderful pool.
- 42:44Dayna Roselli: I know locals go there all the time too.
- 42:46Dayna Roselli: Um, but they have opened patio, which is a new restaurant right next to the pool, and it's an outdoor dining experience.
- 42:54Dayna Roselli: This is gonna be great.
- 42:55Dayna Roselli: They've got LED screens, you can watch sports, um, they have cocktails, you can have dinner there, they're gonna have live entertainment, and so that's brand new to the M.
- 43:04Dayna Roselli: And so we wanted to let you know about that because we know people often ask about outdoor restaurants, outdoor bars, and this is a new addition.
- 43:13Sean McAllister: And we also wanted to let you know about a new addition, a dining edition to the arts district in downtown Las Vegas.
- 43:20Sean McAllister: It is called Bar Bowem.
- 43:23Sean McAllister: Uh, this is by James Trees.
- 43:25Sean McAllister: Um, and he's a James Beard award-winning chef.
- 43:30Sean McAllister: I mean, he's incredible.
- 43:32Sean McAllister: He's had Esther's Kitchen in downtown Las Vegas forever.
- 43:36Sean McAllister: Uh Ada's.
- 43:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he's got a lot.
- 43:38Dayna Roselli: And in, you know, the Esther's Kitchen, we told you, I think it was about it might be even about like a year and a half now it's been open.
- 43:44Dayna Roselli: The bigger expanded.
- 43:45Dayna Roselli: He had to expand because it was so popular.
- 43:48Dayna Roselli: Um, but kept it right around the corner in downtown Las Vegas.
- 43:51Dayna Roselli: So, you know, it's important to him.
- 43:53Dayna Roselli: Well, now he's opening another restaurant.
- 43:57Dayna Roselli: And we told you this was coming, and we finally have an opening date, and it's April 1st.
- 44:01Dayna Roselli: They're gonna begin uh dinner service at 5 p.m.
- 44:05Dayna Roselli: It's in the arts district, so he's keeping in the family and the location.
- 44:09Dayna Roselli: James Trees believes in the arts district, he believes in downtown Las Vegas, and uh we've talked to him before.
- 44:15Dayna Roselli: He's also uh partnered, uh, the co-owners, it's James Trees, Keith Bracewell, and also Michael McGraw.
- 44:22Dayna Roselli: Michael's a great friend of mine and uh wonderful guy, good businessman.
- 44:27Dayna Roselli: I mean, and he knows his drinks and cocktails and food.
- 44:30Dayna Roselli: I've been to their dinner parties before over at the house, Michael and his husband Sean.
- 44:35Dayna Roselli: And so they're great.
- 44:36Dayna Roselli: Um, but anyway, um, this is opening and it's right next to Petite Bohem, which we mentioned, which is a great French-inspired bar.
- 44:47Dayna Roselli: And then Bar Bohem is now the restaurant part, uh, with and it all kind of comes together.
- 44:52Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's a 120-seat restaurant uh serving modern French cuisine.
- 44:58Sean McAllister: They have a great cocktail program over there as well.
- 45:01Sean McAllister: They're gonna be open seven days a week from 5 p.m.
- 45:05Sean McAllister: until 11 p.m.
- 45:06Sean McAllister: So um if you're in downtown Las Vegas after April 1st, make a reservation or pop in to a bar bohem or a petite bohem in the arts district.
- 45:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and James Tree says um in the release that came out that although a lot of people don't know this about me, French cuisine was absolutely my first love.
- 45:26Dayna Roselli: And it's been exciting to return to these incredible traditions with new eyes.
- 45:30Dayna Roselli: So, you know, because Esther's Kitchen's more more Italian.
- 45:33Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 45:34Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 45:34Dayna Roselli: And so anyway, uh look forward to it.
- 45:36Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna try my best to get there uh for a preview on this upcoming Sunday dinner time.
- 45:42Dayna Roselli: So if that's the case, I will give you that preview and let you know how it is next week on the show.
- 45:49Sean McAllister: And as always, you can make reservations for uh Barb OM or uh any other restaurant really on the Vegas Near Me app, it's available in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
- 46:01Sean McAllister: It's basically the resource for everything to do or see in Las Vegas.
- 46:07Sean McAllister: You can book show tickets, book restaurants, or book travel all inside the app.
- 46:12Sean McAllister: Um, so if you're coming to Las Vegas, if you live in Las Vegas, if you know someone who's planning a trip to Las Vegas, they need the Vegas Near Me app and you need to sit down and go through it because there's so much stuff packed in there.
- 46:27Dayna Roselli: Hey, have a great week, everyone.
- 46:28Dayna Roselli: We're off to actually go do an interview about sports and entertainment in Las Vegas, so we've got to head out, but we'll talk to you next week.
- 46:35Sean McAllister: Have a good one.
