- 0:00Speaker 1: The fruits of the Spirit. Last night I tried to
- 0:04Speaker 1: put before you what a life filled with the Holy
- 0:06Speaker 1: Spirit may be, but more from the doctrinal side. These
- 0:10Speaker 1: expressions were found in Romans eighth chapter. Walk in the Spirit,
- 0:16Speaker 1: being made free by the Spirit from the law of
- 0:18Speaker 1: sin and death, being in the Spirit, having the Spirit
- 0:23Speaker 1: dwelling in us through the Spirit, mortifying the deeds of
- 0:26Speaker 1: the body being led by the Spirit, having the Spirit
- 0:31Speaker 1: of adoption. All these are truths which have to be
- 0:35Speaker 1: appropriated and assimilated and worked out in actual life. I
- 0:39Speaker 1: want this morning to look at the matter more from
- 0:41Speaker 1: the practical side, and to show you how this life
- 0:44Speaker 1: will show itself in our daily walk and conduct. Under
- 0:48Speaker 1: the Old Testament, you know, the Holy Spirit often came
- 0:51Speaker 1: upon men as a divine spirit of revelation to reveal
- 0:55Speaker 1: the mysteries of God, or for power to do the
- 0:59Speaker 1: work of God. But He did not then dwell in them. Now,
- 1:04Speaker 1: as I said yesterday morning, many just want the Old
- 1:07Speaker 1: Testament gift of power for work, but know very little
- 1:10Speaker 1: of the New Testament gift of the indwelling Spirit, animating
- 1:14Speaker 1: and renewing the whole life. We saw last night that
- 1:19Speaker 1: when God gives the Holy Spirit. His great object is
- 1:22Speaker 1: the formation of holy character. We saw that it was
- 1:26Speaker 1: a gift of a holy mind and spiritual disposition, and
- 1:30Speaker 1: that we need above everything else to say, I must
- 1:33Speaker 1: have the Holy Spirit sanctifying my whole inner life if
- 1:37Speaker 1: I am really to live for God's glory. You might
- 1:41Speaker 1: say that when Christ promised the Spirit to the disciples,
- 1:44Speaker 1: he did so that they might have power to be
- 1:46Speaker 1: witnesses true. But then they received the Holy Ghost in
- 1:51Speaker 1: such heavenly power and reality that he took possession of
- 1:54Speaker 1: their whole being at once, and so fitted them as
- 1:58Speaker 1: holy men for doing the work with power as they
- 2:00Speaker 1: had to do it. Christ spoke of power to the disciples,
- 2:05Speaker 1: but it was the Spirit filling their whole being that
- 2:08Speaker 1: worked the power. I wish to speak this morning upon
- 2:12Speaker 1: the passage found in Galatians five twenty two. The fruit
- 2:16Speaker 1: of the Spirit is love. We read that love is
- 2:20Speaker 1: the fulfilling of the whole law. And my desire is
- 2:24Speaker 1: to speak to you this morning on love as a
- 2:26Speaker 1: fruit of the spirit, with a twofold object one is
- 2:30Speaker 1: that this word may be a search light in our
- 2:33Speaker 1: hearts and give us a test by which to try
- 2:36Speaker 1: all our thoughts about the Holy Spirit and all our
- 2:39Speaker 1: experience of the Holy life. Let us try ourselves by
- 2:44Speaker 1: this word. Has this been your daily habit to seek
- 2:48Speaker 1: the being filled with the Holy Spirit as the spirit
- 2:51Speaker 1: of love. The fruit of the Spirit is love. Has
- 2:56Speaker 1: it been your experience that the more you have of
- 2:59Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit, the more loving you become. In claiming
- 3:03Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit, you should make this the first object
- 3:06Speaker 1: of your expectation. The Holy Spirit comes as a spirit
- 3:10Speaker 1: of love. Oh, if this were true in the Church
- 3:14Speaker 1: of Christ, how different her state would be. May God
- 3:18Speaker 1: help us this morning to just get hold of this
- 3:20Speaker 1: simple heavenly truth that the fruit of the Spirit is
- 3:24Speaker 1: a love which appears in the life, and that just
- 3:27Speaker 1: as the Holy Spirit gets real possession of the life,
- 3:30Speaker 1: the heart will be filled with real divine universal love.
- 3:36Speaker 1: To understand this fully, let us remember that God, from
- 3:39Speaker 1: whom the Spirit comes is love. Love is not a
- 3:43Speaker 1: mere attribute of God, but God is Love. And because
- 3:47Speaker 1: this Holy Spirit comes as the Spirit of God, he
- 3:50Speaker 1: comes as the spirit of love. What does it mean
- 3:54Speaker 1: that God is love? You have in the thirteenth chapter
- 3:58Speaker 1: of First Corinthians the most perfect definition of love. Love
- 4:02Speaker 1: seeketh not its own it goes out of itself and
- 4:06Speaker 1: lives in its object, et cetera. Love longs to commend
- 4:11Speaker 1: itself too, and bless the object of its love. Therefore,
- 4:15Speaker 1: it was an absolute necessity in the idea of a
- 4:18Speaker 1: perfect God that he should have a son to whom
- 4:21Speaker 1: he could communicate himself. We cannot conceive of God, who
- 4:25Speaker 1: is love alone. He must have a son to whom
- 4:29Speaker 1: he can communicate himself and with whom we can have fellowship.
- 4:33Speaker 1: So God is love, and in the everlasting intercourse of
- 4:38Speaker 1: the Trinity, the Spirit is the bond of fellowship between
- 4:41Speaker 1: the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit is the overflowing
- 4:45Speaker 1: and interchange of the love between Father and son. He
- 4:50Speaker 1: is the very life of Deity. If that spirit comes
- 4:53Speaker 1: to us, he comes in no other way than as
- 4:56Speaker 1: the spirit of love. God is love, not only to Christ,
- 5:01Speaker 1: but in Christ. God created the world that he might
- 5:04Speaker 1: pour out his love upon it, and that he might
- 5:06Speaker 1: give to all his creatures just as much of his
- 5:09Speaker 1: love as they are capable of receiving. God is love.
- 5:14Speaker 1: God created angels and men that they might enjoy fellowship
- 5:18Speaker 1: with him, his love permeating and filling their whole being.
- 5:23Speaker 1: When man had fallen. When sin had darkened this love
- 5:26Speaker 1: of God in man, what did he do? He gave
- 5:29Speaker 1: his own son to the death to restore it to
- 5:33Speaker 1: that fallen world. God gave his son in a new way,
- 5:37Speaker 1: in the flesh, to prove to man the power of
- 5:40Speaker 1: his love. And with his son he gave his life,
- 5:44Speaker 1: his joy, his glory, his holiness, his power, his blessedness.
- 5:49Speaker 1: In Christ, he gives it all. God is love, ever
- 5:53Speaker 1: delighting to give and communicate himself. Love is the essential
- 5:58Speaker 1: nature of God, with the Holy Spirit coming from this God.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Must we not expect that he will fill us with love.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Sin has robbed us of love. You know that God
- 6:10Speaker 1: created man male and female, that they might live a
- 6:13Speaker 1: life of love, even as God lives in love, and
- 6:16Speaker 1: they might be happy in love. When sin came, it
- 6:20Speaker 1: destroyed the love. You know how easily Adam puts the
- 6:24Speaker 1: blame upon his wife, how speedily Cain killed Abel, How
- 6:28Speaker 1: soon the world became filled with wickedness. How true it
- 6:32Speaker 1: is that since that time the world is full of
- 6:35Speaker 1: divisions and strife, of sin and unrighteousness. Love vanished from
- 6:40Speaker 1: the world. There may have been beautiful examples of love,
- 6:44Speaker 1: even among the heathen but only as a little remnant
- 6:47Speaker 1: of what has been lost. The worst thing sin ever
- 6:52Speaker 1: did was it made men selfish, and selfishness cannot love.
- 6:57Speaker 1: Selfishness can do something that is called love. It can
- 7:00Speaker 1: lead me to love someone who pleases me or makes
- 7:03Speaker 1: me happier. But that is not real love. The true,
- 7:07Speaker 1: unselfish love that loves the unworthy or unlovable. Sin destroyed.
- 7:13Speaker 1: To bring this love back to us, Jesus came. He
- 7:16Speaker 1: came as the manifestation of divine love. We read before
- 7:21Speaker 1: he went to be crucified that having loved his own
- 7:24Speaker 1: that were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Christ's life with his disciples was one of love. His
- 7:32Speaker 1: influence was personal. His whole intercourse with them was one
- 7:36Speaker 1: of love. In the thirteenth chapter of John, you will
- 7:39Speaker 1: remember Christ said unto them a new commandment. I give
- 7:43Speaker 1: unto you, that ye love one another. This commandment differed
- 7:47Speaker 1: from all other commandments, and yet it contained them all.
- 7:52Speaker 1: It was a new commandment Christ alone could give because
- 7:55Speaker 1: he had revealed a new love and would give it
- 7:58Speaker 1: to the heart by giving his speak it bear. I
- 8:02Speaker 1: tell you love one another. By this, shall men know
- 8:05Speaker 1: that ye are my disciples, if ye love one another.
- 8:09Speaker 1: In the fifteenth chapter, he says again this commandment have
- 8:13Speaker 1: I given unto you, that ye love one another. In
- 8:16Speaker 1: the seventeenth chapter, he prayed that they may be one
- 8:20Speaker 1: as we are one, that the world may know that
- 8:23Speaker 1: thou hast loved me and has sent me, and hast
- 8:25Speaker 1: loved them as thou hast loved me. The world is
- 8:29Speaker 1: to know the love of God through Christ by our
- 8:32Speaker 1: love to one another. So we are taught that the
- 8:35Speaker 1: great mark of the believer is that he is to
- 8:38Speaker 1: be a man of love. Dear friends, how little the
- 8:42Speaker 1: world understands that, how little the Church understands that, how
- 8:47Speaker 1: little it is preached or proved in practice, that love
- 8:50Speaker 1: is actually the chief thing for every believer to set
- 8:53Speaker 1: his heart upon. How little can believers say before God,
- 8:57Speaker 1: Thou knowest I pray for one thing, fill me with love.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I study one thing? How can I be filled with love?
- 9:06Speaker 1: The Lord Jesus came to bring love back to the world.
- 9:10Speaker 1: He did so when he died on Calvary. It was
- 9:13Speaker 1: the triumph and the revelation of love. And now he
- 9:16Speaker 1: calls us to dwell and to walk in love. He
- 9:20Speaker 1: demands that though a man hates you, you still love him.
- 9:24Speaker 1: True love cannot be conquered by anything in heaven or
- 9:27Speaker 1: upon the earth. The more hatred there is, the more
- 9:31Speaker 1: love triumphs through it all and shows its true nature.
- 9:35Speaker 1: This is the love that Christ commanded his disciples to exercise.
- 9:40Speaker 1: John in his epistle says that Christ laid down his
- 9:43Speaker 1: life for us. Therefore we ought to lay down our
- 9:46Speaker 1: life for the brethren. How little men understand that. Look
- 9:51Speaker 1: at the disciples. How often there were dissensions among them.
- 9:55Speaker 1: More than once they disputed as to who should be
- 9:57Speaker 1: chief in the kingdom. There was pride ma because of
- 10:01Speaker 1: their want of love. Love is humility. Love says, I
- 10:06Speaker 1: only exist to be a blessing to others. Love cannot
- 10:10Speaker 1: be selfish. It loves as Jesus loved. The disciples, whom
- 10:15Speaker 1: Christ had chosen had to be taught many things, but
- 10:18Speaker 1: one chief object was to let us see what human
- 10:21Speaker 1: nature is, and how incapable it is of the higher
- 10:24Speaker 1: life of love like Christ's. Until the Holy Spirit comes second.
- 10:31Speaker 1: When Jesus Christ had revealed love on earth and had
- 10:35Speaker 1: done the work of redeeming love, the Holy Spirit came
- 10:38Speaker 1: from heaven to bring his love down into our hearts.
- 10:42Speaker 1: We ought to think of Pentecost as it brought the
- 10:44Speaker 1: very life and love of Jesus into the hearts of
- 10:47Speaker 1: his disciples. So it was that Peter could speak out
- 10:51Speaker 1: of the very spirit of Jesus. The disciples learned not
- 10:55Speaker 1: only to love each other, but even their enemies. We
- 10:59Speaker 1: talk of their bold because that comes out in contrast
- 11:02Speaker 1: to their cowardice. It was the redeeming love of Christ
- 11:05Speaker 1: that came to take possession of them, which the Holy
- 11:08Speaker 1: Spirit brought down from heaven. In the second and the
- 11:12Speaker 1: fourth chapters of Acts, we read that they were of
- 11:15Speaker 1: one heart and one soul. During the three years they
- 11:18Speaker 1: had walked with Christ, they never had one heart and
- 11:21Speaker 1: one soul. All Christ's teaching could not make them of
- 11:25Speaker 1: one heart and one soul. But the Holy Spirit comes
- 11:28Speaker 1: from Heaven and sheds the love of God in their hearts,
- 11:31Speaker 1: and they are of one heart and one soul. The
- 11:35Speaker 1: same Holy Spirit that brought the love of Heaven into
- 11:38Speaker 1: their hearts must fill us too. Nothing less will do,
- 11:43Speaker 1: even as Christ did. One might preach love for three
- 11:46Speaker 1: years with the tongue of an angel, that would not
- 11:49Speaker 1: teach any man to love unless the power of the
- 11:52Speaker 1: Holy Spirit come upon him to bring the love of
- 11:54Speaker 1: Heaven into his heart. If we wait upon the Holy
- 11:58Speaker 1: Spirit and yield ourselves to him, he will fill us
- 12:02Speaker 1: with the love of God. Look at this as we
- 12:05Speaker 1: have it here in our text. It is in our
- 12:08Speaker 1: daily life and conduct that the fruit of the Spirit
- 12:11Speaker 1: is love. From that there comes all the graces and
- 12:14Speaker 1: virtues in which love is manifested. Joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness,
- 12:21Speaker 1: no sharpness or hardness in your tone, no unkindness or selfishness,
- 12:26Speaker 1: meekness before God and man. You see that all these
- 12:30Speaker 1: are the gentler virtues. I have often thought as I
- 12:34Speaker 1: read those words in Collossis, put on therefore as the
- 12:37Speaker 1: elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness,
- 12:42Speaker 1: humbleness of mind, meekness, long suffering. That if we had written,
- 12:46Speaker 1: we should have put in the foreground the manly virtues zeal, courage,
- 12:50Speaker 1: and diligence. But we need to see how the gentler,
- 12:54Speaker 1: the most womanly virtues are specially connected with dependence upon
- 12:58Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. These are indeed heavenly graces. They never
- 13:03Speaker 1: were found in the heathen world. Christ was needed to
- 13:07Speaker 1: come from heaven to teach us. Your blessedness is long suffering, meekness, kindness,
- 13:14Speaker 1: Your glory is humility before God. The fruit of the
- 13:18Speaker 1: Spirit that He brought from Heaven out of the heart
- 13:21Speaker 1: of the crucified Christ, and that he gives in our
- 13:23Speaker 1: heart is first and foremost love. Don't you see that
- 13:29Speaker 1: if this is really true, our great desire in asking
- 13:32Speaker 1: to be filled with the Holy Spirit our great study.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Now that we are talking about the filling of the Spirit,
- 13:38Speaker 1: and how to be filled with power by the Spirit,
- 13:41Speaker 1: our great aim and study must be to get hold
- 13:44Speaker 1: of this thought. If we are to have the Holy Spirit,
- 13:47Speaker 1: we must give up ourselves, give up self to live
- 13:51Speaker 1: the life of love. How sadly has this been wanting?
- 13:55Speaker 1: What shall I say about the divisions throughout the Church
- 13:58Speaker 1: of Christ, How the most precious truths given by Christ
- 14:02Speaker 1: to unite us had been made barriers of separation. Take
- 14:06Speaker 1: the Lord's Supper. What terrible quarrels between Reformed Lutherans about
- 14:11Speaker 1: the meaning of the simple words this is my body.
- 14:15Speaker 1: What was meant as a bond of union is a
- 14:17Speaker 1: badge of separation. Alas, how little the divine beauty, the
- 14:22Speaker 1: divine supremacy of love has been seen, our doctrines, our
- 14:26Speaker 1: creeds have been more important than love. In these later times.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Even the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a cause
- 14:34Speaker 1: of separation. Let us learn not to expect that everyone
- 14:38Speaker 1: should think the same or express themselves in the same way.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Let our first care be to exercise love, gentleness, kindness.
- 14:47Speaker 1: We often think that we are valiant for the truth,
- 14:50Speaker 1: and we forget that God's word commands us to speak
- 14:53Speaker 1: the truth in love. How often one hears that even
- 14:57Speaker 1: a way out among the heathen or mission stations, there
- 15:00Speaker 1: are too often divisions and coldness among those who are
- 15:04Speaker 1: working for God because of differences of temperament or opinion.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Estrangements and jealousies come in, and love waxes cold. What
- 15:13Speaker 1: a sad thing in the church that earnest Christians who
- 15:16Speaker 1: have given up all for Christ have never learned the
- 15:19Speaker 1: mystery of love? Is it any different at home? Is
- 15:24Speaker 1: there not often in the circles where we meet together
- 15:27Speaker 1: in church councils and committees, in missions and associations a
- 15:31Speaker 1: want of that love among fellow workers, which is the
- 15:34Speaker 1: true mark of the presence of the Holy Ghost? Is
- 15:37Speaker 1: there not often harsh judgment, evil speaking, et cetera. Or
- 15:42Speaker 1: because the love of Christ has not been allowed to
- 15:44Speaker 1: take complete possession. Is there not often even in the
- 15:48Speaker 1: family the outburst of temper and haste alas we have
- 15:53Speaker 1: not learned to love, have not even learned to count
- 15:56Speaker 1: love the chief fruit of the spirit. We must learned
- 16:00Speaker 1: to take this word as the true test of life
- 16:02Speaker 1: in the spirit. All our desire to be filled with
- 16:06Speaker 1: the spirit must center here, to have self sunk down
- 16:09Speaker 1: in willingness, in humility, and to have the love of
- 16:12Speaker 1: God and Jesus become the life of our life. I
- 16:17Speaker 1: want to lead you to the life in which love
- 16:19Speaker 1: is supreme, in which love shall bow you down in
- 16:22Speaker 1: such deep humility that go where you will, and let
- 16:26Speaker 1: man do what they will. You shall say, by the
- 16:29Speaker 1: help of God, I must love. Let us bring our
- 16:33Speaker 1: whole life to the looking glass of this Word of God.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Let us think of the Church and Christians around us.
- 16:40Speaker 1: When you have looked around, well, then look at yourself
- 16:43Speaker 1: and say, O, God, I ask THEE so often to
- 16:47Speaker 1: fill thy church with the Holy Spirit. Have I been
- 16:50Speaker 1: filled with the spirit of love? You know what John says,
- 16:55Speaker 1: No man hath seen the Father at any time. If
- 16:58Speaker 1: we love one another, God dwells in us. That is,
- 17:02Speaker 1: I cannot see God, but as a compensation, I can
- 17:06Speaker 1: see my brother, and if I love him, God dwells
- 17:09Speaker 1: in me. Is that really true? That I cannot see God,
- 17:13Speaker 1: but I must love my brother and God will dwell
- 17:16Speaker 1: in me. Loving my brother is the way to real
- 17:20Speaker 1: fellowship with God. You know what John further says in
- 17:24Speaker 1: that most solemn test First John, chapter four, verse twenty.
- 17:29Speaker 1: If a man says he loves God and hates his brother,
- 17:32Speaker 1: he is a liar. For he that loveth not his brother,
- 17:35Speaker 1: whom he hath seen, How can he love God whom
- 17:38Speaker 1: he hath not seen? There is a brother, a most
- 17:42Speaker 1: unlovable man. He worries you every time you meet him.
- 17:45Speaker 1: He is of the very opposite disposition to yours. You
- 17:49Speaker 1: are a careful business man, and you have got to
- 17:51Speaker 1: do with him in your business. He is most untidy,
- 17:55Speaker 1: unbusinesslike you say, I cannot love him. Oh, friends, you
- 18:00Speaker 1: have not learned the lesson that Christ wanted to teach.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Above everything, Let a man be what he will. You
- 18:07Speaker 1: are to love him. Love is to be the fruit
- 18:10Speaker 1: of the spirit all the day and every day. Yes, listen,
- 18:15Speaker 1: if a man loves not his brother, whom he hath seen.
- 18:18Speaker 1: If you don't love that unlovable man whom you have seen,
- 18:22Speaker 1: how can you love God, whom you have not seen.
- 18:25Speaker 1: You can deceive yourself with beautiful thoughts about loving God.
- 18:29Speaker 1: You must prove your love to God by your love
- 18:32Speaker 1: to your brother. That is the one standard. God will
- 18:35Speaker 1: judge your love to him by. If the love of
- 18:39Speaker 1: God is in your heart, you will love your brother.
- 18:42Speaker 1: The fruit of the Spirit is love. The first thing
- 18:45Speaker 1: you need. If you want to be filled with the
- 18:48Speaker 1: Spirit in any real, full sense of the word, you
- 18:51Speaker 1: must not only have him take possession of your will,
- 18:54Speaker 1: but you must yield up your heart and life to
- 18:56Speaker 1: be filled with the spirit of love. Nothing can enable
- 19:01Speaker 1: you to live such a life of love but the
- 19:03Speaker 1: fullness of the Holy Spirit. The two texts are inseparably connected.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Be filled with the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit
- 19:12Speaker 1: is love. If a man wants to have the fruit
- 19:15Speaker 1: of an apple tree, he must plant the apple tree.
- 19:18Speaker 1: You must have the tree if you want the fruit.
- 19:21Speaker 1: If you want to be filled with the love of God,
- 19:24Speaker 1: you must be filled with the spirit. You must come
- 19:27Speaker 1: with the humble confession of how little you have loved
- 19:30Speaker 1: or even desired to be full of love. You have
- 19:33Speaker 1: sought for the power of the Holy Spirit in your
- 19:36Speaker 1: work in pride and selfishness. You have not given up
- 19:40Speaker 1: yourself to Him to be filled first of all with love,
- 19:43Speaker 1: with gentleness, in humility and meekness. Oh, come and make confession,
- 19:49Speaker 1: and let Christ cleanse you from the selfishness and pride
- 19:52Speaker 1: and unlovingness. Seek to be filled with the Spirit for
- 19:56Speaker 1: a daily life of humility and love. And the power
- 20:00Speaker 1: of the Spirit for service will come. Brother, Do you
- 20:04Speaker 1: want to be filled with the Spirit of God? Is
- 20:07Speaker 1: it true? Do you really want to be filled with love?
- 20:10Speaker 1: That you may be the humblest, gentlest of men, so
- 20:13Speaker 1: that every one may know that you are a disciple
- 20:15Speaker 1: by the love you have. Brethren, if we love one another,
- 20:20Speaker 1: God dwelleth in us and we in God, and then
- 20:23Speaker 1: we can be perfected in love. Is that an attainment
- 20:28Speaker 1: of ours? It is a gift, a bestowment of the
- 20:31Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. I hope in the evening to speak about
- 20:35Speaker 1: the hindrances to this life. How it comes that this
- 20:38Speaker 1: life in the spirit, this love of the Spirit, walking
- 20:41Speaker 1: after the Spirit, made free by the Spirit, in dwelt
- 20:44Speaker 1: by the Spirit, having the witness of the Spirit. What
- 20:47Speaker 1: it is that hinders these in our life? How it
- 20:51Speaker 1: is that Christ has given the Spirit, that the Spirit
- 20:54Speaker 1: is in the Church, and her life is so feeble.
- 20:58Speaker 1: But meantime, let us, first in confession, ask God to
- 21:02Speaker 1: forgive us our shortcomings. Let us, in prayer and faith
- 21:06Speaker 1: yield ourselves and let God fill us with the Spirit
- 21:09Speaker 1: of love. Let us even now absolutely and entirely give
- 21:14Speaker 1: ourselves to be just vessels filled with the love of God.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Let us even now say to God that we accept
- 21:21Speaker 1: the lesson, that the Spirit comes to fill us with
- 21:24Speaker 1: the love of Heaven, with a love that makes loving
- 21:27Speaker 1: others the one joy of our life, that we yield
- 21:30Speaker 1: ourselves to it, and that by His grace we will
- 21:33Speaker 1: make this our one object and desire. May God write
- 21:37Speaker 1: it in our hearts. The Holy Spirit's fruit and chief
- 21:41Speaker 1: work is to give Christ and the Love of God
- 21:44Speaker 1: in us for our every day life. By His grace,
- 21:48Speaker 1: we can live lives of unceasing love.
