- 0:00The biggest factor affecting the silver price and gold price that
- 0:04nobody is talking about de dollarization, the Petro dollars
- 0:10demise. How will it impact the price of
- 0:14gold and silver as we move into the coming quarters and years?
- 0:18It will have a major impact. A lot of people don't think
- 0:22about it or talk about it because they don't necessarily
- 0:25understand it. I'm going to tell you what's
- 0:27going on right now with China, with Saudi Arabia and the Petro
- 0:32dollar, but more importantly give you an easy to understand
- 0:37explanation to what the Petro dollar is, was and why it's such
- 0:43a big deal. What is the Petro dollar?
- 0:53You are smart enough to understand this, just as the
- 0:56name implies, Petro dollar, Oil dollar.
- 1:00Brief history lesson 1971. President Richard Nixon takes
- 1:04the United States off the gold standard so he could print
- 1:08money. That was only temporary, you
- 1:10know, but it's been 50 years now nonetheless, 1974, they send
- 1:16Kissinger over to Saudi Arabia with the message of we'd really
- 1:21prefer that from now on you only sell oil in dollars.
- 1:26And if you don't go along with us, well, there may be some
- 1:29pretty unfortunate circumstances for you.
- 1:32Needless to say, around 1974, the Saudis and all the Persian
- 1:36area countries agreed to sell oil only in dollars.
- 1:40Big deal, right? Yes, big big deal for a couple
- 1:44reasons #1. Oil is the lifeblood of the
- 1:47world economy. Oil is everything, guys.
- 1:51The biggest market in the world. It's energy.
- 1:53It's plastics. It's thousands and thousands
- 1:56everywhere. Oil is everything.
- 1:59So when oil was only traded in dollars, what resulted was there
- 2:04were a lot of countries that needed it needed dollars.
- 2:07And on top of that when they sold oil, there were a lot of
- 2:10big countries with a lot of dollars and they were confused
- 2:14as to what to do with them. And you know what?
- 2:16the United States government was there to accommodate their each
- 2:19and every need. Because our government said
- 2:22we'll take your dollars back, we'll borrow them from you.
- 2:26And that allowed the United States over the last 50 years to
- 2:30rack up an incredible amount of debt because there were always
- 2:33buyers for the US Treasuries because everybody had a lot of
- 2:38dollars, because that's how everything was traded, was in
- 2:41dollars. So the Petro dollar enabled the
- 2:45United States to run huge deficits.
- 2:47Allowed us to really live beyond our means at the expense of
- 2:51other people throughout the world.
- 2:53Fast forward to today, You know there's major changes going on
- 2:57in the world, including China recently conducting oil
- 3:03transactions in yuan, their native currency.
- 3:08Now that is a big deal because China and Saudi Arabia had been
- 3:13been becoming very, very close. It was a big political coup that
- 3:17occurred over the last year. Remember when President Joe
- 3:20Biden ran over to Saudi Arabia right before the midterm
- 3:24elections to beg them to pump more oil and all he got from
- 3:28MBS, that's the president of Saudi Arabia was a fist pump,
- 3:33right? And then two weeks later,
- 3:35President Xi from China shows up in Saudi Arabia and they have
- 3:39like cavalry horses leading his plane down the down the runway
- 3:43and fighter jets flying over with smoke of the Chinese flag.
- 3:47I mean they gave him like the grand welcome.
- 3:51And after that, it was very interesting.
- 3:53The Saudi Arabians announced that they would start selling
- 3:56oil outside of just the US dollar system.
- 4:01It is a big, big deal because it signifies a major shift in the
- 4:06world financial system. And it's not good news for the
- 4:09United States because right now we find ourselves in a period of
- 4:13time where we need to borrow more money than almost any other
- 4:18time in history. If you're looking to buy gold,
- 4:22silver, or platinum, do yourself a favor and check out Pimbex,
- 4:26the online precious metals bullion dealer and sponsor of
- 4:30Ron's Basement. I was a happy customer before
- 4:34they offered to support the channel.
- 4:36You'll find they have the best prices, quality, and service.
- 4:40I think Pembex is best, and you will too.
- 4:43And be sure to tell them that you're from Ron's basement.
- 4:46And just this month, in October, the Chinese announced their
- 4:50first Petro Yuan contract. And it's even more interesting
- 4:54when you understand the Chinese bought oil in Chinese Yuan.
- 4:59But it wasn't just regular Chinese Yuan, it was actually
- 5:04their new CBDC. This demonstrates to us that
- 5:09this whole idea of de dollarization is for real.
- 5:14It's not just a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory.
- 5:17Also consider that almost half of the world's oil reserves are
- 5:21held in these Persian Gulf countries, and right now they
- 5:26supply 30% of the oil to the world first.
- 5:30Mining Gold is a development company advancing 2 of the
- 5:33largest gold. Projects in Canada, Spring Pole
- 5:37in Ontario and Duparque, located.
- 5:39In Quebec, each already has. 5 million ounces of gold reserves
- 5:44but. Exploration initiatives are
- 5:47underway at both. Projects to find even more gold.
- 5:51First, mining is well financed, has zero debt and owns an
- 5:55interest in four additional Canadian Gold development
- 5:59projects. Big deal, right?
- 6:01Yes, this is a big deal, especially for the precious
- 6:05metals on several fronts. Because as this DE dollarization
- 6:09continues, as the Petro dollar continues to fall apart, it will
- 6:15result in the value of the dollar going down.
- 6:18And nothing has been correlated to the price of silver and gold,
- 6:23especially over the last couple years as the value of the
- 6:27dollar, dollar down, silver and gold up.
- 6:31But wait, there's more a bonus factor because we know now that
- 6:36the Chinese are buying oil for yuan.
- 6:41We also know that when the Saudis get that yuan, they can
- 6:44immediately convert it to, yeah, you guessed it, real physical
- 6:49gold. Because not only do they have a
- 6:52separate exchange for the Petro yuan trading, they also have
- 6:56their own exchange for precious metals trading in China called
- 6:59the SGE, the Shanghai Gold Exchange.
- 7:02So when the Saudis get their yuan, they can immediately
- 7:06convert that for real physical gold because the SGE is a real
- 7:12physical market. Oh, and by the way, another
- 7:14little bonus. Isn't it interesting that gold
- 7:17trades almost $100 per oz higher in China?
- 7:21On the SGE, things are changing everywhere.
- 7:25And it's not just oil where we're seeing this shift towards
- 7:30moving away from the dollar in trading in native currencies.
- 7:34Argentina has done some trades with China directly in Chinese
- 7:39Yuan all over the world. It's growing.
- 7:42Yes, the dollar is still dominant, but what we're seeing
- 7:46is an explicit move away from the dollar and two other
- 7:50currencies, primarily the Chinese Yuan.
- 7:54And isn't it also interesting that the Chinese are pushing the
- 7:57use of their CBDC? We know CBD CS are coming and it
- 8:02appears that China is in the forefront in that area as well.
- 8:07It will become very interesting as we move into the next couple
- 8:12years how this impacts many things, right?
- 8:15The ability of the United States government to loan money into
- 8:20Infinity doesn't seem like that's going to be happening to
- 8:23the extent that it did over the last several decades.
- 8:27And again, just at a time when the United States government
- 8:30needs to borrow more money than any other time in history, like
- 8:35$16 trillion in the coming 12 to 18 months alone, it's going to
- 8:40be a wild ride. You know, I'll be here with you
- 8:43for through it all, ups and downs, round and round as the
- 8:47dollar goes through this process and the price of silver and
- 8:51gold, well, hopefully together we're going to watch that go up
- 8:54and up. Thanks for being here.
- 8:56I'll see you soon.
