- 0:35Speaker 1: year they offer up their wellness Trends Report, and on
- 0:40Speaker 1: the heels of their twenty twenty one forecast hitting the website,
- 0:46Speaker 1: I decided that it was a good opportunity for me
- 0:48Speaker 1: to chat with Kate about all things wellness and what
- 0:51Speaker 1: we can expect from the new year and beyond. We're
- 0:54Speaker 1: chatting everything today from text therapy to the end of
- 0:57Speaker 1: hard pants. On the food front, we're chatting supercharged Seltzer
- 1:02Speaker 1: and functional mushrooms, and of course, how could I neglect
- 1:06Speaker 1: the fitness side of things, everything from all fresco fitness
- 1:11Speaker 1: to the next generation of equipment that we are starting
- 1:15Speaker 1: to see made for our home workout routine.
- 1:19Speaker 2: It is really interesting.
- 1:20Speaker 1: I think it's easy for us to get down on
- 1:22Speaker 1: twenty twenty for what it was, but there were a
- 1:24Speaker 1: lot of really cool takeaways, a lot of innovation, and
- 1:27Speaker 1: a lot of things that I'm really grateful for from
- 1:30Speaker 1: the past twelve months. Before we get into the swing
- 1:34Speaker 1: of things today, I do want to take a moment
- 1:36Speaker 1: to give some love to my sponsor at Athletic Greens.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Athletic Greens is a Greens powder with seventy five whole
- 1:44Speaker 1: food sourced ingredients as well as the anti accident equivalent

- 1:53Speaker 1: single day off with the Greens powder and the shaker
- 1:56Speaker 1: bottle twelve ounces of cold water.
- 1:58Speaker 2: In an ice cube.
- 1:59Speaker 1: And by bringing this first thing, it's like I know
- 2:02Speaker 1: that I am giving my body the nutrition it needs
- 2:05Speaker 1: to tackle whatever it is that comes my way. The
- 2:09Speaker 1: pattern's also got prebiotics, probiotics, a daviagens, and superfoods.
- 2:14Speaker 2: It's made it so easy for.

- 3:19Speaker 2: I've been in your shoes.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I know what it feels like to feel really overwhelmed,
- 3:23Speaker 1: to want a lot of things but not know where
- 3:25Speaker 1: to start.
- 3:26Speaker 2: I've got your back. I'm here for you again.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Link to join in on the goal setting session on January.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Sixth is in the show notes. And with that, let's
- 3:37Speaker 2: get to hurdling. Today.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I am chatting with Kate Spiez. She is the editor
- 3:52Speaker 1: in chief over at Well and Good. How are you
- 3:55Speaker 1: doing today, Kate.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I'm great. Thank you so much for having me Emily.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Thanks for coming on a year like twenty twenty being
- 4:04Speaker 1: in digital editorial as a journalist myself, what a year? Huh,
- 4:10Speaker 1: what a year?
- 4:11Speaker 4: I mean, it has been transformative for the whole world,
- 4:14Speaker 4: and I think working in the wellness space particularly so
- 4:19Speaker 4: there has been so much moving and shaking in every
- 4:23Speaker 4: vertical of the industry, which is meant that we have
- 4:27Speaker 4: been very busy, but it's also incredible to see some
- 4:30Speaker 4: of the really positive changes that are happening across wellness.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Of course, and so over on Well and Good and
- 4:37Speaker 1: what you're here on hurdle to chat about today, y'all
- 4:41Speaker 1: put together a end of year report of sorts Well
- 4:46Speaker 1: and Good's Wellness Trends Report, and I'd love for us
- 4:50Speaker 1: to dive in and talk about what really resonated with
- 4:54Speaker 1: your audience and the world as a whole in twenty twenty.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Let's kick it off with health. How's that?
- 5:01Speaker 4: Yeah? It really makes sense to start with health, because
- 5:04Speaker 4: I think it's impossible to talk about the changes we've
- 5:08Speaker 4: seen in wellness over the past year and that will
- 5:13Speaker 4: continue through twenty one without talking about the big context
- 5:18Speaker 4: to it all, which is the pandemic and the way
- 5:20Speaker 4: it has really transformed many people's idea of health and healthcare,
- 5:27Speaker 4: and really we are seeing health and wellness converge in
- 5:31Speaker 4: a way like never before.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Definitely, So I know that one of the big picture
- 5:35Speaker 1: trends that you guys highlighted over unwell and God is
- 5:40Speaker 1: mental health communities. Talk to me a little bit about
- 5:43Speaker 1: what you mean by that.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Yeah, So we're seeing an incredibly positive trend on two
- 5:51Speaker 4: fronts as it pertains to mental health. One is the
- 5:55Speaker 4: really exponential growth of teletherapy, which is an allome some
- 6:00Speaker 4: trend because it increases access to therapy, which is so important.
- 6:06Speaker 4: With one in three Americans reporting increased feelings of anxiety, impression,
- 6:11Speaker 4: and depression per the CDC, having this access to therapy
- 6:15Speaker 4: is critical for people to be able to really take
- 6:19Speaker 4: control of their mental health and mental well being. And
- 6:24Speaker 4: so that's one really positive trend. And then coupled with that,
- 6:28Speaker 4: we are really seeing that various different providers, various different
- 6:33Speaker 4: leaders and advocates are creating mental health communities, particularly for
- 6:40Speaker 4: various different qt bipop folks because really for therapy, and
- 6:46Speaker 4: there have been a lot of studies into this, but
- 6:48Speaker 4: for therapy to be really meaningful, there needs to be
- 6:53Speaker 4: a level of cultural competency between you know, for the
- 6:58Speaker 4: therapist to the person they're treating, and honestly, up until
- 7:03Speaker 4: this point, therapy has been really whitewashed, and we are
- 7:06Speaker 4: seeing that slowly but surely changing. We are seeing incredible,
- 7:12Speaker 4: you know, people in this space creating communities so that
- 7:17Speaker 4: people have the access to the resources and the like
- 7:23Speaker 4: minded people that they need to really have to really
- 7:28Speaker 4: have meaningful treatment, which is awesome.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 7:31Speaker 1: In your dive into these communities, do you have any
- 7:37Speaker 1: favorite individuals that you like to follow personally when it
- 7:40Speaker 1: comes to whether it be on Instagram or Twitter, that
- 7:42Speaker 1: provide you with some solace and some inspiration.
- 7:46Speaker 2: Perhaps something that.
- 7:47Speaker 4: I personally have been really trying to do is diversify
- 7:53Speaker 4: my Instagram feed and diversify the wellness individuals that I.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Follow and people that I.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Have worked with closely this year and just taken such
- 8:05Speaker 4: inspiration from and absorbed all their wisdom. Is a woman
- 8:09Speaker 4: called Miriam Ijaye. She runs a brand called Dive in
- 8:13Speaker 4: Well that we love and have been working really closely
- 8:17Speaker 4: with here well and good. I also love a therapist
- 8:23Speaker 4: online called Mina Bee. She is incredible and just gives
- 8:28Speaker 4: such great free wisdom on Instagram, and you know, I
- 8:33Speaker 4: feel very grateful that wellness is finally recognizing some of
- 8:41Speaker 4: the problems that it's had with systemic racism in the past,
- 8:46Speaker 4: and you know, whitewashing and accessibility, accessibility issues and really
- 8:53Speaker 4: what we've seen, and I think it's very much mental
- 8:57Speaker 4: health and the access that people are having to mental
- 9:00Speaker 4: health and the resources that are being distributed online just
- 9:05Speaker 4: a small example of what's happening in the broader wellness world.
- 9:08Speaker 3: And a really.
- 9:09Speaker 4: Big theme that we're seeing is equity and inclusion being
- 9:14Speaker 4: prioritized and also access.
- 9:16Speaker 1: To take a little bit of a pivot for sure
- 9:19Speaker 1: toward the self care category. One of the things that
- 9:23Speaker 1: literally made me lol was the statement hard pants have retired.
- 9:30Speaker 3: They have retired.
- 9:31Speaker 4: We are all sick of wearing hard pants aka jeans.
- 9:36Speaker 4: We've had, you know, since March, I think so many
- 9:39Speaker 4: of us have been wearing lounge wear.
- 9:43Speaker 3: And you know, we were.
- 9:45Speaker 4: Already wearing ath leisure a lot of the time.
- 9:49Speaker 3: That it was no secret that ath.
- 9:50Speaker 4: Leisure sales were on an exponential growth path. And what
- 9:55Speaker 4: we've seen is the pandemic really accelerate that. And while
- 9:59Speaker 4: the rest of the re tail industry was really struggling
- 10:02Speaker 4: for sales. The sales of sweatpants were up eighty percent
- 10:06Speaker 4: per many sources, and so we're really seeing that moving
- 10:10Speaker 4: into twenty twenty one, women particularly will continue to prioritize comfort.
- 10:16Speaker 4: We will not be putting on hard pants and hard
- 10:18Speaker 4: jackets even when we do go back into the office,
- 10:21Speaker 4: and we'll really see this blending of comfort, athleisure, lounge, wet,
- 10:26Speaker 4: and our i guess in air quotes normal attire. Those
- 10:32Speaker 4: two things blend together. And I think that women are
- 10:34Speaker 4: going to embrace this trend of comfort for a long
- 10:38Speaker 4: time to come.
- 10:39Speaker 1: And I think what's awesome about this year and going
- 10:42Speaker 1: forward is that so many of the brands that we
- 10:44Speaker 1: love are also really starting to focus on expanding their
- 10:49Speaker 1: size range as well.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Right Yes, that is a huge, huge trend in the
- 10:55Speaker 4: industry and is very much being applied to this portion
- 11:00Speaker 4: of the industry around comfort wear, and it's something that's
- 11:03Speaker 4: very important to us that well, and good size inclusivity.
- 11:06Speaker 4: And we're also seeing some other innovations like many many
- 11:11Speaker 4: different brands that create underwear are taking underwires out of
- 11:16Speaker 4: bras and that's been happening for a little while but
- 11:20Speaker 4: often for smaller breast sizes.
- 11:22Speaker 3: And now there is new innovation and.
- 11:24Speaker 4: Technology which means that bras without underwire thus that are
- 11:29Speaker 4: much more comfortable, can be supportive enough for bigger breasts
- 11:33Speaker 4: as well, and so really looking at size inclusivity across
- 11:37Speaker 4: the board.
- 11:38Speaker 1: So then let's shift over to food. One of my
- 11:42Speaker 1: favorite topics, something that you all chat about in the
- 11:46Speaker 1: Wellness Trends report is adaptogenetic shrooms.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Yeah to me about adaptagens.
- 11:53Speaker 4: Yes, So, adaptagens have been pretty popular in the wellness
- 11:57Speaker 4: world for a few years now. But for whatever reason,
- 12:01Speaker 4: whether it's that people are more stressed, or whether it's
- 12:05Speaker 4: that people have found at hard to concentrate working from home,
- 12:08Speaker 4: whether it's just that people have had more time to
- 12:11Speaker 4: experiment now that we have spent so much more time
- 12:14Speaker 4: indoors and had to entertain ourselves, we're really seeing adaptogens
- 12:18Speaker 4: reaching the mainstream in a whole new way. Adaptogenic mushrooms
- 12:23Speaker 4: are being used in so many products. So one of
- 12:27Speaker 4: our other trends in the food category are these functional
- 12:31Speaker 4: celtss and we're seeing that a lot of these functional
- 12:35Speaker 4: celtzers have adaptogens. We're also seeing adaptogenic mushrooms in protein powder.
- 12:41Speaker 4: We have seen them as kind of sachets and supplements
- 12:45Speaker 4: for a long time. And interestingly, just the normal cooking
- 12:51Speaker 4: mushrooms like a shataki are also really Sales of those
- 12:55Speaker 4: kind of mushrooms have increased as well, which is kind
- 12:59Speaker 4: of random and interesting, and we're really just seeing mushrooms
- 13:03Speaker 4: growing popularity.
- 13:04Speaker 3: They're like the new chickpea or cauliflower.
- 13:07Speaker 2: The new chickpea or cauliflower.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I mean, and on your note on the boosted Seltzer
- 13:12Speaker 1: so to speak, I mean, there's everything now from Seltzer
- 13:15Speaker 1: with adaptogens to Seltzer with CBD. I feel like tomorrow,
- 13:19Speaker 1: you know, I'm going to be sent a super food Seltzer.
- 13:22Speaker 2: Like there's no end to this.
- 13:24Speaker 3: There is no end to it.
- 13:26Speaker 4: It's so funny because it started with booze, you know,
- 13:28Speaker 4: it started with spike seltzers, and now to your point,
- 13:31Speaker 4: we're seeing Seltzers with literally every buzzy and greeted you
- 13:36Speaker 4: can think of.
- 13:37Speaker 3: And I think that you're correct.
- 13:40Speaker 4: I'm sure that we're going to say superfood supercharge Seltzes
- 13:44Speaker 4: on shelves near you soon.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Taking a break from today's episode to give some love
- 13:57Speaker 1: to my friends at Beam, whether you are sore or stressed.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Beam makes CBD products that are key for recovery and
- 14:05Speaker 1: self care. I have been on a tear of using
- 14:09Speaker 1: their Focus capsules, which are loaded with their THHC free
- 14:14Speaker 1: CBD as well as a bunch of other really awesome adaptogens,
- 14:19Speaker 1: and incorporating them into my regular routine. It just helps
- 14:21Speaker 1: me feel more capable to tackle the to do list,
- 14:25Speaker 1: which is still relentless as we're finishing out the year.
- 14:29Speaker 1: Right now, if you're scrambling to figure out what you
- 14:31Speaker 1: should get the last people on your holiday list, a
- 14:35Speaker 1: Beam gift card is an excellent idea. Again, they've got
- 14:39Speaker 1: everything from these capsules to topicals and also tinctures. They've
- 14:43Speaker 1: got a special offer for hurdlers, of course, head on
- 14:45Speaker 1: over to Beam TLC dot com and use the promo
- 14:48Speaker 1: code Hurdle for fifteen percent off any Beam product today. Again,
- 14:53Speaker 1: that is BEAMTLC dot com b e A m TLC
- 14:58Speaker 1: dot com use promo code for fifteen percent off today.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Let's now transition into fitness. I mean, I know that
- 15:15Speaker 1: you and I can both agree that fitness in twenty
- 15:18Speaker 1: twenty looked unlike anything that we could have imagined going
- 15:22Speaker 1: into this year.
- 15:24Speaker 2: One of the trends that you highlight.
- 15:25Speaker 1: First and foremost is this new generation of equipment that
- 15:29Speaker 1: we're able to now use at home.
- 15:32Speaker 4: It's pretty incredible. We talk about fitness a lot at
- 15:36Speaker 4: Well and Good and just to your point, the change
- 15:41Speaker 4: in the evolution that we've seen in the fitness industry
- 15:45Speaker 4: is so impressive and just really proves how resilient and
- 15:50Speaker 4: adaptable humans are, because really the fitness industry was so
- 15:55Speaker 4: dependent on studios and IRL spaces and humans get which
- 16:00Speaker 4: obviously none of those things can happen anymore.
- 16:03Speaker 3: And really we think the industry.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Has been accelerated by about a decade and so many
- 16:08Speaker 4: brands are having to plan around this omnichannel strategy where
- 16:12Speaker 4: they have IRL offerings once it's.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Safe, a very robust digital offering.
- 16:17Speaker 4: And then to your point, also tech and equipment and
- 16:21Speaker 4: the kind of things that you can bring into your
- 16:23Speaker 4: home now and at all different price points is so amazing.
- 16:29Speaker 4: It's moved so far beyond some random mismatched sets of
- 16:34Speaker 4: dumbbells and an old rusty bike. You know, Peloton has
- 16:37Speaker 4: obviously been leading the way in this space for such
- 16:39Speaker 4: a long time with their bikes and their tread. They
- 16:42Speaker 4: are due to release in twenty twenty one a bike
- 16:46Speaker 4: at a lower price point, which is an incredible evolution
- 16:50Speaker 4: because they're absolutely not cheap. But they now have a
- 16:54Speaker 4: lot of competitors, and there are so many other brands
- 16:57Speaker 4: that are releasing really smart bikes that are releasing you know,
- 17:03Speaker 4: there are kettle bells that you can buy one kettle
- 17:05Speaker 4: bell to.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Program at all different weights.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Dumb bells were sold out across the country for many,
- 17:12Speaker 4: many weeks during the pandemic, and so we're really.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Seeing people creating these home gyms for themselves.
- 17:18Speaker 4: And I think that now that people have recognized how
- 17:21Speaker 4: much great programming and content they can receive online and
- 17:26Speaker 4: they have.
- 17:27Speaker 3: Also equipped themselves with what they need to do these.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Workouts at home. I don't think that we will we
- 17:32Speaker 4: will turn back from here. I think the digital revolution
- 17:36Speaker 4: in fitness will just continue to grow exponentially.
- 17:39Speaker 1: And I think what a lot of people realized this
- 17:42Speaker 1: year is, yes, it is unbelievably satisfying and so empowering
- 17:46Speaker 1: to be in the studio, going to the studio having
- 17:50Speaker 1: that accountability, but to get some of that time back
- 17:54Speaker 1: as well is really valuable. Be able to you know,
- 17:57Speaker 1: put some clothes on and get right to that fitness
- 18:00Speaker 1: instead of having to commute the forty five minutes to
- 18:02Speaker 1: and from, especially you and I both New Yorkers, it
- 18:06Speaker 1: changes everything. I also think something I love that well
- 18:10Speaker 1: and good highlights in this fitness category. Here is the
- 18:14Speaker 1: pause ongoing hard I Actually I spoke with spoiler alert
- 18:18Speaker 1: coming after this episode Sadie Lincoln yesterday from Bar three,
- 18:22Speaker 1: and we were chatting about just how special it is
- 18:27Speaker 1: right now that that mindfulness integration is such an important
- 18:32Speaker 1: part of what it is that they offer there and
- 18:35Speaker 1: something that people everywhere, regardless of how you've been choosing
- 18:41Speaker 1: to move during this pandemic, how important that mindfulness aspect
- 18:45Speaker 1: is to your overall fitness routine.
- 18:49Speaker 4: It's so true, and I think so many people have felt,
- 18:54Speaker 4: you know, when the world is closing in around them
- 18:58Speaker 4: and we're going through all this chaos, and it's been
- 19:01Speaker 4: a tough year for so many reasons. The last thing
- 19:05Speaker 4: that many people wanted to do was really flog themselves
- 19:09Speaker 4: without intention, you know. And I think that there are
- 19:13Speaker 4: definitely still people who want to practice harder modalities. But
- 19:18Speaker 4: to your point, it's with this addition of this mind
- 19:21Speaker 4: body connection and obviously modalities like yoga are so good
- 19:26Speaker 4: at that because that's what it's that's what yoga as
- 19:28Speaker 4: a practice is centered around. But we're really seeing, you know,
- 19:32Speaker 4: class Past reported a twenty five percent increase in interest
- 19:35Speaker 4: on the platform this year for yoga and other gentler modalities.
- 19:41Speaker 4: And then we're also seeing that brands, and particularly big,
- 19:47Speaker 4: big digital fitness brands are launching new categories where they're
- 19:53Speaker 4: combining mindfulness with fitness and so it might be active
- 19:58Speaker 4: added sleep class and walking meditations Open a new digital
- 20:04Speaker 4: platform which is going to launch in twenty twenty one,
- 20:07Speaker 4: is really combining physical work with breath work, and it's
- 20:11Speaker 4: just I think you and I definitely agree that it's
- 20:14Speaker 4: a really nice step forward because.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Fitness is so.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Great for releasing in doorphins, and it's obviously so critical
- 20:24Speaker 4: to all aspects of health, and to overlay that physicality
- 20:28Speaker 4: with kind of a mental health element is really a
- 20:33Speaker 4: nice evolution.
- 20:35Speaker 1: And then the last thing I love that you guys
- 20:37Speaker 1: called out in your home category was the fact that
- 20:40Speaker 1: so many of us are getting green or more green,
- 20:45Speaker 1: so to speak. Talk to me about plants in the
- 20:48Speaker 1: home and why they're important, especially right now.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Plants are having the biggest moment, and we've all been
- 20:57Speaker 4: becoming plant ladies for the last couple of years.
- 20:59Speaker 3: And so really, if you'd said to me a year ago.
- 21:02Speaker 4: That plants were going to become even more popular, I
- 21:05Speaker 4: wouldn't have believed you and wouldn't have known how that
- 21:07Speaker 4: was even possible.
- 21:08Speaker 3: But they have because at this moment when.
- 21:12Speaker 4: People aren't necessarily able to get it out in nature
- 21:15Speaker 4: the way that they once were, so it's been so
- 21:18Speaker 4: important to bring the outside back in and plants are
- 21:22Speaker 4: a pretty easy way to do that. And so we
- 21:25Speaker 4: are seeing myriad new brands launching. We're seeing a lot
- 21:30Speaker 4: of brands that already exists really beefing up their digital offering.
- 21:35Speaker 3: For twenty twenty one. And we also have.
- 21:37Speaker 4: Spoken to a lot of different brands that feel they
- 21:41Speaker 4: can now offer plants that are harder to keep alive.
- 21:46Speaker 3: They're seeing that consumers, we've kind.
- 21:48Speaker 4: Of proved ourselves on the easy plants, and now we're
- 21:52Speaker 4: all after something's a little bit trickier, which I think
- 21:55Speaker 4: is just such a cute, fun fact that you know,
- 21:58Speaker 4: as a society, as as a community, we are really
- 22:02Speaker 4: taking We're really looking after these plants and we're now
- 22:05Speaker 4: ready to maybe embrace some different types of species.
- 22:10Speaker 1: I love on the Trends Report when Bobby Burke chimes
- 22:14Speaker 1: in and he says, with all the chaos and change
- 22:16Speaker 1: that is happening outside our homes that is beyond our control,
- 22:19Speaker 1: people are wanting to create a zen and calming space
- 22:23Speaker 1: within the walls of theirs.
- 22:26Speaker 3: It's very, very true.
- 22:27Speaker 4: We're seeing that across the home in general, from the
- 22:31Speaker 4: way that we create our work from home spaces to
- 22:34Speaker 4: bringing plants and.
- 22:35Speaker 3: People are just looking for a little bit of sanctuary.
- 22:38Speaker 2: I know it's true.
- 22:39Speaker 1: I feel like I live now in like a renovated
- 22:41Speaker 1: version of my own at home. We work with my
- 22:44Speaker 1: plants and my colored books and like all the things.
- 22:48Speaker 1: If you had to identify keate one of your favorite
- 22:52Speaker 1: trends from twenty twenty in the world of wellness, what
- 22:57Speaker 1: is it.
- 22:59Speaker 3: I see you?
- 23:00Speaker 4: We're going to ask me this. It's such a good question,
- 23:02Speaker 4: but such a hard one to answer because there are
- 23:06Speaker 4: so many incredible, incredible things happening across the whole sphere.
- 23:13Speaker 4: But I think that something I feel very passionately about
- 23:19Speaker 4: and so so so happy to see is really this
- 23:24Speaker 4: depth of diet culture, we are seeing so many consumers
- 23:29Speaker 4: being led by lots of nutritionists and rds who have
- 23:33Speaker 4: been on this beating this drum for a while, but
- 23:36Speaker 4: we're seeing so many consumers turn away from.
- 23:38Speaker 5: The really restrictive diets that have been so popular for
- 23:42Speaker 5: so many years. And a lot of the experts that
- 23:44Speaker 5: we spoke to reported that the increase in people inquiring
- 23:50Speaker 5: about mindful eating intuitive eating has been really exponential, and
- 23:54Speaker 5: to me, that is such an important positive change because again,
- 23:59Speaker 5: when there is so much going on in the world,
- 24:02Speaker 5: to be able to nourish your body and feel comfort
- 24:06Speaker 5: with food through stuff, you know, products and produce that's
- 24:11Speaker 5: great for you and healthy, but you have some freedom
- 24:14Speaker 5: around feels like a really really nice step forward and
- 24:18Speaker 5: definitely is one of my favorite trends and one that
- 24:22Speaker 5: I really want to embrace over the next twelve months.
- 24:25Speaker 1: What excites you for twenty twenty one?
- 24:29Speaker 4: The thing that excites me most is really watching how
- 24:35Speaker 4: the change across the whole wellness industry is going to
- 24:38Speaker 4: take hold. We As I said at the top, we're
- 24:42Speaker 4: seeing some really positive changes in terms of equity, inclusion, accessibility,
- 24:48Speaker 4: also environmental awareness and sustainability, and what excites me most
- 24:54Speaker 4: is to see these things really come to fruition over
- 24:57Speaker 4: the next twelve months, because I think if many of
- 25:01Speaker 4: the different things that we're seeing the seeds of grow,
- 25:05Speaker 4: we are going to end up with a much better,
- 25:08Speaker 4: much safer, fair, more inclusive wellness industry. And that makes
- 25:13Speaker 4: me really happy and excited. That makes me really happy
- 25:17Speaker 4: and incited too. Tell me, Kate, how do the hurdlers
