- 0:00Think Liverpool's next right. Nopal's next. 1st to the 3rd,
- 0:091st to the third. I have something to ask for
- 0:12forgiveness for. First of all, this is like a
- 0:15fucking no no. In fantasy, this is like a huge
- 0:17sin. I literally had a look at that
- 0:19man for fucking two hours straight as we play next year
- 0:22that he just whip my ass in fantasy.
- 0:24The Snanch of Enzo is still on and give him a couple of more.
- 0:27Because I like Derek. Me and Derek are friends would
- 0:30baby. This conversation is stupid.
- 0:32Just disregard it. It's OK.
- 0:35All right, Well, I'm. I'm feeling a little hurt and
- 0:36betrayed, but I think we should we should move on before this
- 0:39feeling deepens. Hello.
- 0:48Welcome to episode 63 of Draft Offsides.
- 0:51I'm with Tico Enzo. My name is Keith.
- 0:53We are coming to you from another week of fantasy.
- 0:57What is that? Was that week eight, Week eight,
- 0:59week 8? Some of us are winners, some of
- 1:02us are losers. Some of us had better weeks than
- 1:04others. Chico's sitting here gritting
- 1:07his ass off. I'm I'm mixed.
- 1:11And so how are you? How'd you end up?
- 1:12I think I won both we, I won both my games.
- 1:14This I. Think you think you don't know?
- 1:16I won him. No, I did.
- 1:17I won both my games. So I'm four and four and coming
- 1:21where I am in the other league. Actually, I'm four or four in
- 1:23the main league. Yeah, I'm, I'm having a bit of a
- 1:26slide in our main league, but it's it's not because of poor
- 1:29performances, because I'm, I'm still the top scoring team.
- 1:32I've just been going up against teams that are just being
- 1:34slightly better every week. So I'm like 2 game two game last
- 1:37streak. But I've been the second highest
- 1:39or third highest scoring team on both of those.
- 1:41So you can't get mad. You just got to move on.
- 1:43You got to roll the punches. Yeah.
- 1:47I'm just annoyed that the only reason you're the highest
- 1:50performing for the year is because of that one monster
- 1:53called Palmer game. Literally, that's what our
- 1:55difference is that. That's a different game.
- 1:57Yeah. Hey, it's all it takes.
- 1:59Yep. Called Palmer baby.
- 2:02No, I actually shouldn't be saying that at all because he
- 2:04had a horrible game this week. But let's let's let's hop into
- 2:07sons and dads and we can talk about some of the games.
- 2:09Let's let's go that that route. Speaking of best players in the
- 2:12Premier League, guard Nacho. Also known as good as good Nacho
- 2:1830 points versus projected 11.72 at one goal and five shots on
- 2:23target. Just was a good scoring game for
- 2:26United overall. They won the game and this was
- 2:28Garnacho's first like monster game, which I know Enzo and I
- 2:32were pretty high on him coming into the season.
- 2:34We thought he would get this games earlier and more more
- 2:37often, more often. So hopefully this leads to more
- 2:42success, but we'll see. But Garnacho showed up.
- 2:45Yeah, I mean, he showed up. He's had a few games where he
- 2:47showed up. He's he seems very like kind of
- 2:49spotty though, right? Do you feel that way?
- 2:52It's the first game he showed up when he's starting because all
- 2:54the other games where he came off the bench is when he scored
- 2:56his points. So this was a this is this is
- 2:59good for a fancy owner knowing that you can actually now star
- 3:02when he starts and see that he has he actually him, Rashford
- 3:06and Hoyland actually all played really well together.
- 3:08So that's that's, that's a good thing for fancy owners.
- 3:12It's the first game they won that Garnacho has started.
- 3:17I mean, I mean, how many people were really starting in that
- 3:19too, do you think? Because like his previous three
- 3:21games, he scored 6.254 point 5 and 2.25, and that's what's
- 3:26starting all three of them. You know, I, I dropped, I think
- 3:29I put him to the bench for two of those games and then I was, I
- 3:33had to put him on this week and luckily I did so do.
- 3:36You think that next week he delivers I.
- 3:40Don't know. No, they I don't know about.
- 3:42It's my United team. I know that's the thing they're
- 3:45so like and or miss. They play West Ham next week.
- 3:49And they've been horrible, too. Yeah.
- 3:52So we'll see. Yeah, I mean, good for good for
- 3:55the good for ground Nacho, huh? Yeah, not go Nacho, but yeah,
- 3:59not Nacho cheese, yeah. Who else do we have on here?
- 4:03Curtis Jones of Liverpool had 30 points, one goal, one assist.
- 4:08I know for the penalty they get an assist.
- 4:10I guess whoever creates the penalty, second start of the
- 4:12year and the last week he got the start he had 7 1/2 points.
- 4:15So it's a player to keep an eye out for.
- 4:17If he gets starts he might be a spot starter.
- 4:22I'm curious about this one because do you, do you really
- 4:24see him up ending McAllister or Grabenberg in those two six
- 4:29roles? I don't think grabbing Butch
- 4:31under Arnie slot is like something else this season.
- 4:35Graham Butch has been fucking great.
- 4:37Macalister's Macallister. Macallister is consistent.
- 4:39But honestly, do you if did you watch this game?
- 4:41Yeah. I mean, look, fucking he looked
- 4:45fucking good. I mean, he was getting so up and
- 4:47down the field like he was really, he like really shut down
- 4:49Cole Palmer, you know, from a defensive standpoint.
- 4:52And then offensively, he was in the box a bunch.
- 4:54And technically he was sound right technically.
- 4:57And technically, he was sad. See, are you, are you thinking
- 5:00that he can really make a case to start moving forward?
- 5:02I think he's making a hard case for Annie Slott to redecide
- 5:05about who he's going to start, and that's all up to Annie
- 5:08Slott. And then if that's the case, is
- 5:10he worth picking up? Well, like Tico said, you know,
- 5:15he's this. He's had two starts.
- 5:17His last start was 7.5. It's a stay.
- 5:19It's another match up slash. You got to put him on your bench
- 5:23because he's not going to starve every week.
- 5:25Do you have a space for him on your bench?
- 5:26Are you solid in your midfield where you can take a risk?
- 5:30I don't know. I think I would pick him up,
- 5:33keep him on the bench. I would if I pick him up, I
- 5:34wouldn't start him in next week's matchup for this coming
- 5:37weekend, but I will want to keep him on my bench just to see if
- 5:39it leads to more starts or more production.
- 5:42Just because if you have enough debt, you don't want to put an
- 5:45uncertainty in there. But I think it's someone I would
- 5:47definitely like to handcuff, especially if you have Mcalter
- 5:50Gravanbridge, just in case they do lose their spot.
- 5:54That's a really good way to look at it because I think for me
- 5:57it's it's hard for me to justify picking him up when you need
- 6:00someone because you to your point, like you just don't know
- 6:02if he's going to start. But if you have a McAllister,
- 6:04Gavin Birch, then all of a sudden he becomes a lot more
- 6:06interesting because then you're kind of guaranteeing a spot in
- 6:09the Liverpool mid show for yourself.
- 6:13So I like that. OK, we'll use the next.
- 6:16Ethan Ethan Ethan pinout 22 points versus projected 10.05
- 6:21Second game in OR that he scored a goal.
- 6:24He has two for the year, matching his total for all of
- 6:27last year. I don't think he could do it
- 6:29again, do you? Do what?
- 6:31Beat one of the top defenders. No score a goal.
- 6:36I mean, he's done it twice now. Yeah, back to.
- 6:39Like you mean for the whole year he won't score another goal?
- 6:41I'm not saying he would have won't score another goal, but
- 6:43remember. The last time you made a bet
- 6:45like that? That's why I'm flying my fucking
- 6:47tongue. But this is also he.
- 6:49Hasn't stopped scoring since he made that.
- 6:51Stop scoring. Picked him up, remember?
- 6:56Sure. I just, I don't know honestly I
- 7:00think either Bank is a good defender though.
- 7:02I think he can get points from some from different things.
- 7:06Ariel's tackles, 1 interceptions, things like that.
- 7:08But again, a goal weekend we got.
- 7:10I don't think so. No, I mean the goals are a
- 7:12bonus. I think the one thing I will say
- 7:14which a trend I've noticed is is defenders scoring more goals
- 7:17because set pieces are becoming so much more important.
- 7:19And there's so many more like picks and special plays where
- 7:22they're trying to get their best headers of the ball open for set
- 7:27pieces. So like when you look at like
- 7:29Saliba on Arsenal, like how many goals does he have already this
- 7:32season? You know you.
- 7:33I say Gabrielle. I think Gabrielle is.
- 7:36One, I'm sorry, Gabrielle, that's what I'm talking about.
- 7:37Yeah. So he's like, he's clearly the
- 7:39target for. Fucking time.
- 7:41And so in that sense, if like Brentford was kind of one of the
- 7:44original teams that was like really big on set piece plays
- 7:47and doing this whole like kind of this new era of set piece
- 7:50play stuff. And like, so if they're kind of
- 7:52incorporating that and Pinnick is like the ex, you know, the ex
- 7:56player and their set piece players, that all of a sudden
- 7:58becomes interesting. But at the end of the day, even
- 8:00with that being said, it's not like you're going to have more
- 8:02than two or three more goals in a year, you know?
- 8:06But honorable mention Casa Nero 19 1/2 points versus projected
- 8:1212.73. The surprising and impressive
- 8:15thing on this is majority of his points came from key passes.
- 8:18He had four and he had one shot on goal.
- 8:21That's. 10 points, yeah. Yeah, so he got 10 points there
- 8:24and then he had some deductions as well, like dribbling, but
- 8:26obviously he's going to have the tackles, the experiences, all of
- 8:29that stuff as well. But 19.5 points for a player who
- 8:33essentially few weeks ago we thought he's pretty much benched
- 8:36forever, but the guy just keeps putting up tackles and
- 8:42performances like that. Yeah, I don't know.
- 8:44I mean, obviously aside from the fact that he fucked me this
- 8:46week. Thanks a lot, Enzo.
- 8:48For that I don't I, I look how does our man know that Castamir
- 8:51was going to put up 19.5 points and make sure that you didn't
- 8:55win your match up by 7 points? Well then why you didn't say
- 8:58anything? Why you even?
- 8:59Because I like Derek. Me and Derek are friends.
- 9:02You're not friends with Keith. I am.
- 9:03But Keith's players, all Keith's team was playing.
- 9:06Derek's player wasn't playing. All right, it's fine.
- 9:09Let's let's move on. I still think, I mean, I'm, I'm
- 9:12not like sold on Casamiros, though.
- 9:14I'm sold. I think this was a little bit of
- 9:16the fact that I mean, what they went behind early, correct.
- 9:21Yeah. No.
- 9:24Did they go behind? They went up and then Brentford
- 9:26scored, didn't they? No, they scored.
- 9:29They scored. They scored in the first half,
- 9:31Yeah. And I think it was just like, I
- 9:33mean, they mean Brentford. I think like, United really
- 9:36turned on the The Jets after that, yeah.
- 9:38Because honestly, Brentford was a better team in the first half.
- 9:41Yeah. I think Casimiro will have
- 9:44performances like this from time to time just because of his
- 9:46experience and the amount of times he's played.
- 9:49So I, I don't think it's going to be on a regular basis where
- 9:52he puts up 10 plus, but I think he'll hover around like 8:00 to
- 9:5512:00. Yeah, I don't think he's a
- 9:58consistent WAR player. Is that?
- 10:01Yeah. I mean, I mean, yeah,
- 10:03absolutely. I think it's interesting that
- 10:05his his ownership has dropped so much.
- 10:07He's only owned a 25% of leagues now.
- 10:09So I think the majority of people are.
- 10:11We're not. Not gave up on him.
- 10:14Yeah, they're little. They've gotten burned too much
- 10:16by him. Yep.
- 10:17So that's interesting from that standpoint.
- 10:19Don't help that Ugarte is it was a guy.
- 10:21Is he? Injured now I think he's
- 10:23injured. Yeah, he's injured now.
- 10:24So I mean, but I still, I mean a holding midfielder for a United
- 10:27team. I mean, but was this like this
- 10:30represented like 20% of the goals they've scored in the
- 10:32Premier League all season this game?
- 10:34Pretty much, yeah. But you know, usually they do
- 10:37get clean sheets, so that's what you have for a midfielder.
- 10:39You'll get the clean sheet, You get one point clean sheet from
- 10:42the midfielder. I mean, yeah, I don't know.
- 10:44I'm not like a big, I'm not like super keen on Casimiro.
- 10:47No, it's not large. This.
- 10:49This result? No.
- 10:51Especially because what, next week they play West Ham?
- 10:54Yeah, I don't know. Just doesn't doesn't do much for
- 10:56me. No.
- 10:58OK, let's go to Duds. Mark GUI 2 1/2 points versus
- 11:05projected at 11.2. So after he made the studs list,
- 11:09I think it was three weeks ago, he has averaged he has had two
- 11:12games of 5.5 points and 2 1/2 points.
- 11:16It happened when Enzo picked him up, so I'm calling it the Enzo
- 11:19Curse. That's no, no, it's not the Enzo
- 11:25curse. Look, I didn't watch the today's
- 11:27game, but they lost one nil, so you know, didn't get the clinchy
- 11:30points and the last week. It's not the Enzo curse.
- 11:35He's just scoring for a bad game.
- 11:37We'll be back. I'm just throwing it out there.
- 11:39OK, I think it's all of Crystal Palace that's been struggling a
- 11:42little bit. Yep.
- 11:42So it's not just him, it's everyone like as you know,
- 11:46attacking defensively. They're just not quite there.
- 11:49But I mean, but then you look at what's his name?
- 11:52The other the Trevor Chaliba had a solid game for Palace today.
- 11:57So it's just I don't know, Gwahey.
- 12:00I mean, is this kind of how he was this how he was last year?
- 12:02Like he obviously his profile really expanded because of the
- 12:05EUR and the heck he was playing for England, but he was always
- 12:08for the most part not a super high scoring fantasy player.
- 12:12I think Newcastle go off the weekend in January.
- 12:17Really. Yeah, I think.
- 12:18So I think if Palace is remotely near the drop zone, there's no
- 12:21way they sell them. Should maybe if they think they
- 12:24need something else. I don't know, Enzo curse.
- 12:29I like that, though, except for it didn't work for Riley Menes.
- 12:33But I guess there's like a little of spite that Riley Menes
- 12:35has for Enzo. He's like, I'm going.
- 12:40Also, you and I overruled Enzo curse, we could overcome it.
- 12:42Yeah. All right.
- 12:44Who else do we have? Matteo Kovachic 3 points versus
- 12:48projected 12.32 they were playing was bottom of the table
- 12:53to me. Kovachic has been has a couple
- 12:55of good games this year, but I think what holds him back from
- 12:58being in very good to the fantasy player is his
- 13:01consistency basis, which also is kind of telling of his career.
- 13:05But Kovachic only three points versus the favorable matchup.
- 13:10How come she didn't call this the Bloody Keep curse?
- 13:13'Cause I started him last week when he scored 23 points.
- 13:16And I think he was on the bench this week.
- 13:18Yeah, I definitely had him on the bench this week.
- 13:20Yeah. OK.
- 13:23I mean, yeah, Kovach is not someone who gets a lot of points
- 13:27normally. This year has been a little bit
- 13:28of like a weird anomaly for him to have as many points as he
- 13:30does, you know? But I'm not like, I'm not really
- 13:34sold on him consistently the rest of the season.
- 13:36I'm just using him kind of now while I can.
- 13:39But yeah, I don't think anyone can really replace that Rodri
- 13:43kind of position. No, I don't think so.
- 13:45Why? But I think he's just a filler.
- 13:47Like I said, January, they'll buy someone to try to fill.
- 13:50That for you. But I think that you guys, I
- 13:52think that you guys point, I mean, I think similar to
- 13:54Casamiro, I think that there's a level of like when you're on a
- 13:56good team that's pushing forward really aggressively, like City
- 14:00where because city we're also down early or not city down,
- 14:03we're way down way earlier than United.
- 14:05Everyone's going to score points because you're going to have
- 14:07most of the ball. You're just going to have some
- 14:09more opportunities to make keep passes and stuff.
- 14:10So I think it's a game state thing a lot of times, but like
- 14:13certain games are just not either so.
- 14:16I mean, just the weird fact that I came across for COVID Church,
- 14:20well, now we're something I found interesting.
- 14:23He has four Champions Leagues. Yeah.
- 14:26Yeah, Chelsea. And he's, he's that Madrid for.
- 14:30That's the Madrid. Yeah, he's on the bench.
- 14:35OK, Who else do we have? A male smeet role negative half
- 14:39a point versus projected 15.55. He's averaging 7 points per
- 14:43game. And I think he was one of the
- 14:45players that was kind of people were high on him because the
- 14:49uncertainty and they thought he could produce a lot of points.
- 14:51But I feel like he's been one of the more disappointing players
- 14:53this year for fantasy. When you say people, you mean
- 14:57Sergey I? Was I was.
- 15:00So was I. I didn't I, I said it'd be bare
- 15:04on that team, but I didn't think it was going to be a star.
- 15:05I think 7 points per game is still good for ESR, don't you
- 15:10think? It's OK, you wish it was a
- 15:12little. Better.
- 15:13I think you wish it was a little better, but for a player that
- 15:15Hardy played last year for Arsenal, went to a brand new
- 15:19team, new seller where he wasn't, Honestly, he wasn't
- 15:23going to be the main, the main, the main guy.
- 15:27I mean, the hope was that he was going to be a little bit more of
- 15:29a main guy. I think, I think at the end of
- 15:31the day, like so far in this season, he's had he's had like
- 15:34what I, I would consider 1234 exceptional games and 1234 games
- 15:39that are like really bad. So I think that's just
- 15:42consistency for him. But I think I told you guys this
- 15:45after like the week, first or second week, even after he
- 15:47scored a goal, like I didn't love the his role in that team.
- 15:50It felt like it could, he could very easily get lost in the in
- 15:53the system, you know. So I'm, I'm a little concerned
- 15:57about it. He might be someone I might be
- 15:59looking to trade. He's yeah.
- 16:02I just don't think he's A10. They try to play him like A10.
- 16:04He ain't A10. Yeah, we've had this discussion.
- 16:08Yeah, I get that. I I I understand fully.
- 16:11Yeah. Hey, before we get into the
- 16:13honorable mention, can I, can I talk about one that I wanted to
- 16:16that I've been noticing that's just been bad for a while now?
- 16:19Who? Leon Bailey Go.
- 16:21He's so bad. What happened from between last
- 16:24year and? This year, I know.
- 16:26He had a little bit of an injury to start the season and just
- 16:28it's. Just horrendous.
- 16:30No balls into the box like he looks like when Brendan Johnson
- 16:36run, like Brendan Jobs have a better things than him.
- 16:38I'm just saying when he dribbles, he just cuts inside to
- 16:40like three guys and just gets dispossessed.
- 16:42Well, I mean, watching him last year, you could visibly see him
- 16:45when you're like, wow, he's just so much faster and he just can
- 16:48get by anyone and you just you just have not seen that this
- 16:51year. No, I think it's like not quite
- 16:53time to like fully drop him. But it's like he's not starting
- 16:55to answer me anymore, you know? Yeah, yeah, I started when I
- 16:59shouldn't have this week because I had no choice, but shouldn't
- 17:01have. Yeah, I think he I'm fully, like
- 17:04pretty fully off him. I'm with you.
- 17:07Yeah, that's a good one. It's a painful and.
- 17:10For me. OK, who's the honorable mention,
- 17:13Tiko? Holland and Cole Palmer come by,
- 17:17they had 5.5 points. I honestly after how long had
- 17:21that thought of a game? I think he had zero points until
- 17:24like the 85th minute and Keith, you had Cole Palmer playing
- 17:28next. I'm sure you were happy that you
- 17:29were going to win your. Match I was guaranteed.
- 17:31I literally had two players playing on Sunday and it was
- 17:33Trent and Cole Palmer. I was like and I was like I win
- 17:35this match up easy. They combined for less than 10
- 17:38points or they combined. Like 10 points really.
- 17:40Yeah, not ideal, but I mean, I think for Cole, like if you look
- 17:46at his season, like he's had two bad games and six very good
- 17:49games, so you can't get that mad about it.
- 17:52Holland is a little bit of a Druid story.
- 17:54Was this two duds in a row? Yeah, I think at least.
- 17:58How long has Roger been out for? Because ever since Roger went
- 18:00out he dumb fuck all. No, what are you talking about?
- 18:04I think Roderick didn't play single game did he?
- 18:07Like one or two Last week he had ten.
- 18:09Well, 10/8 and 1/2, but then he was 20253837.
- 18:13Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's not Harlan standards
- 18:18though, is it? I mean, it's just, it's what it
- 18:21is, I guess. I mean, it's going to happen,
- 18:24right? Like if any striker and the
- 18:27thing that was wild that I said I saw is that he had the lowest
- 18:30XG on any of any player on the pitch.
- 18:33And even like Wolves players, Wolves offenders.
- 18:36No. Maybe it was only City players,
- 18:39but still he had the lowest actually of any city player on
- 18:42the pitch. It's just like, I don't, I don't
- 18:47see. Look, don't get wrong, I know
- 18:48Roger is a fucking amazing midfielder, but with the talent
- 18:51on that team I don't see why they can't seem to.
- 18:55Because if you really look at that Wolves game, Wolves played
- 18:57pretty well and they scored against the C team and I think C
- 19:02were lucky at the end to get that that winner in the last
- 19:04minute. What is what is stopping Harlem
- 19:09from scoring? They can't be Rhodri.
- 19:11What's stopping Harlem from scoring?
- 19:13I think the way they play defenses, they drop everyone
- 19:16back. There's constantly two people
- 19:17around them and essentially you have to cross it in or give him
- 19:20the ball so he could turn and take the shot.
- 19:23He doesn't have the space. And what I've been noticing this
- 19:27crappier teams do against City, they just put everyone in the
- 19:30box. An old City does is they just
- 19:32pass the ball to Grillish or whoever's on the left.
- 19:35He dribbles inside, passes back to the top and they just rotate
- 19:37it. They're not putting any balls in
- 19:39the box. So but you're but you're we're
- 19:42not good. You're not going to take Holland
- 19:43as a lineup. No, of course.
- 19:46And I mean, like next week they're playing Southampton.
- 19:48He hasn't scored three goals, three goals in three games.
- 19:52I'm sorry, he hasn't scored in three games in a row.
- 19:54He's playing Southampton. I'm playing against Derek, so
- 19:57I'm playing against Holland in my fantasy matchup.
- 19:58I expect him to have at least a brace.
- 20:02I mean, yeah, you put money, you definitely put money on him to
- 20:04score for sure. Like, it's definitely.
- 20:07Yeah, I get it is what it is. I it's not even worth really
- 20:09disgusting. Like you, you know, there's
- 20:10going to be these dud games from hauling every now and again
- 20:12because of the position. Yeah.
- 20:14I think for me, it's just that City.
- 20:16I think the more concerning thing for City is that they just
- 20:19keep letting goals in. Like this is like, I think
- 20:22they've only had one. Yeah.
- 20:24They've only kept one clean sheet this whole season so far.
- 20:26So to me, I think it's just something to do with their
- 20:28possession and how they set up. They look so good when they're
- 20:30on attack, but if they lose the ball, it's these fast breaks
- 20:33that are just killing them. Yeah, so, but yeah, let's move
- 20:36on. Let's talk, let's talk through
- 20:37some of the key moments in the game.
- 20:41We talked about Garnacho, 30 points finally return.
- 20:44Is there anything else really to talk about there?
- 20:47I mean Rashford look good too. They both look good.
- 20:50I thought that ball, I mean that pass from Rashford was like
- 20:53vintage, perfect for the ball, absolute.
- 20:56Vintage like in Is it? We just want consistency from
- 20:59those top three, from those kids and Rashford's got to be the
- 21:01catalyst. Like a Nacho can be involved,
- 21:03but Russia really has to be that catalyst and know when a
- 21:06possible. Yeah, he's he's paid like he's
- 21:08the leader of that team, so he needs to kind of show up that
- 21:11game. Yep, Rizzerto.
- 21:14FedEx man. Just something else, since we
- 21:18talked about Manchester United, I just went on to ESPNFC website
- 21:22homepage to check something. The home page says Transfer
- 21:25shock Xerxi already wants out of Manchester United.
- 21:28No way. That I that's just the headline
- 21:31I'm not having that's. Crazy.
- 21:33I mean, we're not even talking. He's not even on people's radar
- 21:35anymore. No, just 'cause it's just, I
- 21:37mean, it's not like, I mean, it's just underwhelming.
- 21:39He was just kinda has underwhelmed.
- 21:41And now that Hoyland's back playing, I don't I don't really
- 21:43see him. I don't really see where his
- 21:46role is. It seems like he's another
- 21:47player that doesn't quite have like a perfect position.
- 21:49Is he A10? Is he a nine?
- 21:52He's in that weird little space. Yeah, you.
- 21:54Know all. Right, moving on Sond, the
- 21:58actual starting lineups managed to get 23 1/2 points solid game
- 22:03look good. It looked good at times.
- 22:05Sometimes he he doesn't look the same as he used to.
- 22:08I'm not going to lie to you my those runs down the wing cutting
- 22:12up unless he's one-on-one like but you could take him
- 22:16one-on-one all day. I'm happy.
- 22:17You'd think he's going to score 99% of the time.
- 22:21I thought the biggest take away from that game was how Madison
- 22:23was subbed out at halftime and they went on to score three
- 22:26goals in the second-half. Yeah, well, fucking do you see
- 22:29Ange? And was fucking pissed he was.
- 22:32All right, so you're going in. Don't come into the changing
- 22:34room. Just fucking.
- 22:35Why? Why was Madison stuffed off?
- 22:37Is it something he did or? I think Kulacevsky just looked
- 22:40more effective, like Madison hasn't looked the same since he
- 22:44got injured last year. I was just going to say, it's
- 22:47starting to feel like this is more is becoming more of
- 22:49Kulacevski's team than it is Madison's team.
- 22:51Like last year, at the beginning of the last year it was, it felt
- 22:53like it was Madison's team and he was pulling all the strings.
- 22:56Kulacevsky now is in that role and Madison is playing a little
- 23:00bit deeper than he has in the past.
- 23:01And maybe it's just he's just not quite playing that role in
- 23:04the way that Ange wants. And that clearly is going to
- 23:07affect his guard, his returns. It's it's.
- 23:10Really. That'll be really upsetting for
- 23:11fantasy owners of Madison because he's not even taking all
- 23:14the free kicks all the corners either.
- 23:16He has from one side, but he did have 20 points.
- 23:18With all all that said, Madison had 20 points.
- 23:20And a half, 20 points and 1/2. Yeah, which is fucking really
- 23:23good. Yeah.
- 23:24So fantasy wise he's going to be fine.
- 23:27Maybe, but I mean. The fear would be if he's not
- 23:30starting, if he's not a guaranteed starter, right?
- 23:32If like there's certain games are there, I'd rather have SAR
- 23:34and Basuma and have Kulasevski be in the tent or something, You
- 23:37know? I.
- 23:37Think the walkway of SAR defensively would be banned in
- 23:41the Madison but attacking wise I think Madison.
- 23:44Actually, yeah, absolutely. Again, I don't know.
- 23:49Oh yeah, moving on to Georgina Ruder from Brighton.
- 23:52He's had three phenomenal games and a back-to-back to back
- 23:55scoring 1619.25 and 14.25. Man, this guy.
- 24:01Did you watch the Brian game? Yeah, he's good.
- 24:03Hustle. I think he was on waivers last
- 24:05week. He was, Yeah.
- 24:07He looks fucking good man. Like No Fear.
- 24:11Yeah, he's one of those that I, you know, I, I keep holding on
- 24:13the Pedro Netto, hopefully hoping that he's going to come
- 24:15in and play, but I really should have dropped him about two weeks
- 24:17ago for Pedro Netto. Yeah, it dropped Pedro Netto for
- 24:20him, but he's definitely one of those guys.
- 24:22If he's still around, you need to swoop him up.
- 24:24He just, he just went up over 50% owned in leagues or else he
- 24:27would have done waivers again. He's the real deal.
- 24:30Grab that full. Yeah, another another guy who's
- 24:33been playing really well last few weeks is Keene from Everton,
- 24:36a defender. They kept a clean sheet this
- 24:38week was went up to oh, he scored a goal.
- 24:40He's had a few really solid games now 7% owned.
- 24:45It's just ever and. Doesn't feel great.
- 24:49Doesn't feel great picking him up, but if you need a defender I
- 24:51think it might be a good idea. I also, sorry, I also think that
- 24:54he's Brathwaite didn't play this game, but it went if he he has
- 24:58played, he has played since his injury.
- 25:00He just didn't play this game. If he's getting closer to full
- 25:02health, that's huge. Like I think like that defence
- 25:06gets a lot better with Brathwaite and Keene.
- 25:08So if you can, Brathwaite's probably in taken in a lot of
- 25:10leagues, but Keene isn't. So that might be a sneaky little
- 25:13way to get some. Points.
- 25:16You don't think Keene gets dropped?
- 25:18I think he's who's the other defender in that.
- 25:20Talkowski. Oh, you're probably right.
- 25:23You're totally right. And I know we say it's Everton
- 25:26defenders, but even when we look at last year, they had four
- 25:29defenders, their main 4 average over eight points per game.
- 25:32And this is when one goal was -2 points.
- 25:34I mean, last year they're the dead, one of the better defenses
- 25:36in the league. That's how they stayed up.
- 25:37They just could not, they could not score to save their life.
- 25:40And this year it's a little bit different.
- 25:42But it's a little bit of the same.
- 25:45A little bit different, little bit the same, but I think I
- 25:46written defenders in the same way that forest defenders.
- 25:49I think they're just, you got to see where the clean sheets are
- 25:52and like, that's a lot of points, you know?
- 25:55You know, honestly, just look at you talk about the first look at
- 25:57Young, the last four games and they weren't all clean sheet
- 26:00points. Man, I have such a hard time.
- 26:03I would have such a hard time drafting him, but you look at
- 26:05these points and you can't argue with him, huh?
- 26:07He what, 16 1/2? Fourteen 2.2511.7517.5 And he's
- 26:12only 16% owned because no one wants to pick up a 38 year old?
- 26:15Nope, you know. You can get red card at any
- 26:18second. Yeah, fuck me.
- 26:22Yeah, but they're risky. I feel like that even though
- 26:24they they they couple them out of several good games, they're
- 26:27still risky to me. But if you if you need points
- 26:31and you need points now and you need some somewhat of a sure
- 26:34thing with consistency, then I think Keen and Young will be the
- 26:38ones to go for. It'll be interesting to see
- 26:40against Fulham because Fulham's, what we call them the Robin Hood
- 26:42team. Yeah, so from the rich game to
- 26:44the poor, and that'll be that'll be a very interesting they've
- 26:48looked good matchup. All right, next Arsenal.
- 26:51I was the one that was kind of questioning Sakas availability
- 26:54and and then he ended up not playing.
- 26:56No, yeah, you're right. I thought, I thought he was just
- 26:58play acting. So it's that's rare.
- 27:01It's rare for soccer not to play.
- 27:03But I mean, the injury was a really bundling up for them.
- 27:05But soccer's out, Otigo's out. Timber didn't play Timber.
- 27:08'S out to. Leave a suspension and they have
- 27:11a really tough few games coming up.
- 27:14Think Liverpool's next right. Liverpool's next, yeah, and
- 27:21that's going to only affect the rest of the team.
- 27:23Like someone there's going to be a couple players that are still
- 27:26going to get points, but you gotta feel like that might
- 27:28affect some of the other players in the team my creativity wise.
- 27:32Hey, Marino got this first start, scored, scored.
- 27:35I think about nine points, just under 10.
- 27:38Nice. Sterling didn't get a chance.
- 27:41Not a single chance. How many points did he have?
- 27:43Like he got subbed up as soon as celebrity got.
- 27:45Fucking set up. Oh, I didn't have a chance.
- 27:47Yeah, I. Didn't have a fucking chance.
- 27:50So yeah, it's a bummer. That's disappointing.
- 27:51I mean, we can talk about that saliva thing, but that was a red
- 27:55to me. No, I still think Celiba was a
- 27:57red, but I also think what's his name from Chelsea was a.
- 28:01No, that scene and then I already talked about this ad
- 28:03nauseam in our group chat, but the toast enchants in my
- 28:07opinion, Koal was Caldwell, well was coming back and so there was
- 28:11a second guy there. So, so, so that's that's the
- 28:13difference. It's last man.
- 28:14Is it last man? Is it really that is the rule?
- 28:17Is it last man? The rule is last man if there's
- 28:19no one else can be engaged in the player.
- 28:21No, the the rule is if you're the last man, you take out the
- 28:24guy running after the ball and you're ahead of him.
- 28:27That's one that's a record. You're stopping a goal scoring
- 28:31opportunity. I don't care if you got frigging
- 28:34it was the the 100m runner of Jamaican guy.
- 28:38Hussein Bolt. It don't matter if Usain bolts
- 28:41at the halfway line already fucking 20 feet away, you're
- 28:43still going to give that guy a red card.
- 28:45It it does matter though, and that's why that like it like I
- 28:47that the rule isn't as clear cut as last man.
- 28:50It's it's a foul, it's a red card.
- 28:52It's like if there's if there's someone else that is involved in
- 28:54in there, then it isn't a red. And that's why that wasn't a
- 28:56red. It was.
- 28:56It does matter. He's behind, way behind.
- 28:58You're oversimplifying a rule. I'm not oversimplifying rule,
- 29:02I'm I'm mentioning a rule. OK, well, we agree to disagree
- 29:05there. As always.
- 29:08Kudos red card. So he scored a goal.
- 29:10So it's kind of funny because what Sergey was like, well, so
- 29:14Sergey ends up made this trade and then they were just like
- 29:16Sergey contacts. She's like, I'm going to wake up
- 29:18to a kudos goal this morning. And then sure enough, he woke up
- 29:21to a kudos goal, but also woke up to a kudos red.
- 29:26Dude he couldn't go at least 4 red cards in that I mean.
- 29:28Is there any chance he gets suspended for longer?
- 29:31I don't know it's a well not the FA looks into it, but he he
- 29:33definitely kicked out a Vanderman while he was on the
- 29:36floor. I mean, that could have been a
- 29:37red itself and then hit two different guys in the faces
- 29:40after that. Then he pushed.
- 29:41Vanderman in the face and he pushed SAR in the face.
- 29:43Yeah, that's bad. The crazy thing was a referee
- 29:46only gave a yellow. It took BA offer and say hey, I
- 29:49think you missed a couple of things there.
- 29:51Do they they really? I didn't.
- 29:53I didn't watch it in a it wasn't a straight red.
- 29:55It was you had to go look at VAR and have a look at.
- 29:58But even with the red, he did score more points than Harvey
- 30:02Barnes and Maduiki combined. Yeah.
- 30:04Yeah. No, he did, but he scored a
- 30:06goal. So the red is what only -4 -, 5
- 30:09seven minus who is it really? So I just took away the goal,
- 30:12essentially, yeah. Question, is he a trade target
- 30:16now for anyone? You think there's anyone that's
- 30:19like if anyone's struggling and they like can't really afford to
- 30:22have kudos on their bench and you can kind of give him a few
- 30:24players in exchange. If I had him, If I had him,
- 30:28maybe. If you had him.
- 30:30You should try to trade for him man.
- 30:32No, I'm good, I might try and trade for him.
- 30:35I'm sorry, can we remember when I mentioned the Enzo Jinx kudos
- 30:39was putting up shit numbers? The second you trade him away he
- 30:41has 2. Two games, two goals.
- 30:43And a red card. So he's going to be suspended
- 30:45for three games straight, right? So what's That's a weird type of
- 30:50jinx that ends up with some. Players, yeah, I don't know
- 30:52what. You a weird type of jinx.
- 30:54The stancho benzo is still on him.
- 30:55Give him a couple of more leads. All.
- 31:00Right. Welbeck scored another goal, so
- 31:03we talked about that. I know that on the last pawn I
- 31:05didn't really want to trade for Welbeck because I felt like he's
- 31:07too goal dependent. But if he keeps scoring goals,
- 31:09hey like Holland's goal dependent but.
- 31:12It works. I think the more important thing
- 31:15is he looked like a bad back injury, and it was kind of a
- 31:17weird thing when he kind of went down, like, no non contacts.
- 31:21Yeah, yeah, it's a little scary. So your note here is Evans.
- 31:26Evan Ferguson likely replaces him.
- 31:28Well, he's been starting with him, but is he the one to
- 31:30replace him point wise? And what about we forget about
- 31:32Jon Pedro too. He should be coming back.
- 31:34Yeah, but you got Rotta Matoma has been was on the bench as you
- 31:39know and see so was another one. So you never know, one of those
- 31:45guys can go off. Yeah, there's some interesting
- 31:48Brighton players out there. Jata goes off injured, Nunez
- 31:54finally gets to come in and play.
- 31:55I thought Nunez actually looked fairly good when he came in.
- 31:57He was really aggressive. He actually won a lot of balls,
- 32:01like in the midfield, he's doing a lot of things.
- 32:02But Jata, this was the thing with Jata, right, is that he
- 32:06always gets injured. Yep.
- 32:08So we knew this was coming. He's never really been able to
- 32:10string it together for a long enough period of time.
- 32:12That's why he's always been such a good player off the bench,
- 32:14more so, you know. Yeah, so he's less time on the
- 32:16field, less time Trance is getting out.
- 32:18But yeah, he went off at half time I think.
- 32:21So like, is that the door opening for Nunez to really put
- 32:25his foot forward? Like he was working hard, like
- 32:27you said he was. He was working hard in that
- 32:28game. I think it is, and I think if he
- 32:32strings a couple goals together, it's going to be really hard for
- 32:34John Ted to get that position back.
- 32:35Yeah. So I don't, I don't, I don't see
- 32:38a lot of world where John Ted just says like I'm healthy and
- 32:41like starts next week. I feel like the way he came off,
- 32:43I don't think that's like a bounce back injury next week.
- 32:47Jack Post started too, didn't he?
- 32:49Start on the left. Yeah, I think to me that was
- 32:51maybe just a rotation thing. Maybe because because Diaz was
- 32:55on the bench instead of bringing on Diaz he did bring on Nuna.
- 32:58So you might be right. It might be a rotation being.
- 33:00I mean, not later on and they do have Champions League matches
- 33:03this week. Yeah, I was just going to say I
- 33:04think they're saving it for that.
- 33:05I mean, I mean, it's a good thing for Liverpool.
- 33:07They have a lot of really good attacking players.
- 33:09So not to mention, like, yes, I can't even get into these games,
- 33:13but we kind of expected that. Yeah.
- 33:17Johnstone scored a last minute winner.
- 33:20He is owned in 49% of leagues. Initial guy.
- 33:24That's my guy. I think I got to pick him back
- 33:25up again. Oh.
- 33:26My God. And then then drop him.
- 33:28Then pick him back up, Then drop him.
- 33:29That's my, that's what I love to do with John Stones.
- 33:31It's. A great relationship you have.
- 33:33I actually, I'm trying to really knock on wood, trying to stay
- 33:37away from city defenders this year.
- 33:39OK, admit my, admit my faults. OK.
- 33:44But I think he's AI, think he's a pretty viable player.
- 33:47OK, yeah, keep talking. Yeah, yeah.
- 33:50Yeah. You feel that, you feel there
- 33:51was anything wrong with that goal.
- 33:53Anything wrong with that goal? Yeah, I don't know the exact
- 33:57rules, but it was weird that Bernard Silva could push on the
- 34:00goalie so much before I thought he got.
- 34:02I think Bernard Silva did a really good job of getting out
- 34:04of the way by the time the header came.
- 34:06It was just anything before that which was the problem.
- 34:08It's funny, when they first looked at it they were looking
- 34:10for offsides, so you can't be offside for a fucking goal kick.
- 34:13I mean, corner kick, yeah, that was interesting.
- 34:17But yeah, I agree. The Ponano Silver.
- 34:19Just push. What are you talking about?
- 34:20You, you. They were looking at it offsides
- 34:22because he was sending it from the keeper.
- 34:24Yeah, but the Bulls from the freak from a from a corner, you
- 34:28can't be. He heads it and he's.
- 34:31That's yeah, yeah, yeah. He's just offsides.
- 34:32They're looking offsides. They're there initially looking
- 34:35off. They looked offsides from the
- 34:37kick, but then they're like, oh wait, you can't be offsides from
- 34:39the kick, no. They they didn't look at
- 34:40offsides from the the the quarter kick, they looked
- 34:44offsides after he hit at the ball because he was sitting in
- 34:46outside position in front of the goalkeeper.
- 34:48They did look at, yeah, they did.
- 34:49You're right, They did look at that.
- 34:50But I was saying that people were wondering if he was because
- 34:53he was technically offsides, but you can't be offsides from 1/4
- 34:56but he was technically offsides. Off the header.
- 34:58Off off the kick, off the kick from the corner like he was the
- 35:02closest man back, like there's no one behind him.
- 35:05This conversation is stupid. Just disregard it.
- 35:07Yeah. And so, yeah, let's move on.
- 35:10It doesn't matter. I mean, he I thought I thought
- 35:12it was fine. I thought the whole thing was
- 35:13fine. I thought it was a little I'd
- 35:15like, I don't know what the rules are about like pushing
- 35:16someone before like that, because you could argue that he
- 35:18made it so that Jean Jose saw couldn't really get set.
- 35:21But like I I think that's pretty soft.
- 35:22I think unless you're a Wolves fan, you're not really going to
- 35:25make try and make that argument. I was just curious.
- 35:29All right, and then today's game, Nottingham Forest and
- 35:34Crystal Palace. Guess who scored again?
- 35:37Would baby? Yeah, and what's what's his name
- 35:41was right from? Chris Ryan.
- 35:44Chris. Ryan.
- 35:45Ryan. Yeah, Ryan is right.
- 35:47It's Chris Wood. What is what has been a better
- 35:50sensation. Fifth goal in eight games.
- 35:54That's a really good performances.
- 35:55This is a great one too. Outside the box hitting that.
- 35:57And they took him off. Goalie probably should have
- 35:59saved it though, yeah. You can say that, but he didn't.
- 36:04He didn't, Yeah. It took a mob.
- 36:06I think that was fine. I mean, you get fresh legs in
- 36:07there. That's that was the right thing
- 36:08to do in my opinion. But it cost someone in our
- 36:12league their matchup. They're down by like a point and
- 36:14Woods get subbed off and they had Woods.
- 36:16I love that they always blame you, Keith.
- 36:18Do something because that's what everyone in the league just ask
- 36:21me. Do something, Commissioner, do
- 36:23something. I started.
- 36:25That I love it. So annoying that was that was
- 36:33kind of the games. Was there anything else that
- 36:34really stood out to you guys game wise from us from this
- 36:36coming week? Well, no, I'm worried about
- 36:38Newcastle. Yeah, people still think they're
- 36:41like, I think they're just going to be a like a top six team
- 36:45maybe. I don't think I think there's no
- 36:47chance for them making top 4. They didn't get backed enough.
- 36:50They got all these players kind of like it's like coming back
- 36:52from injury, Will Murphy's coming back from injury, getting
- 36:55acclimated, but it just doesn't look like it's cooking less.
- 36:59It's not the same as when they had that's the center back
- 37:01pairing or Stan Botman and the rest of them.
- 37:04It just doesn't look the same team.
- 37:06I don't think they're a better team than they were last year.
- 37:10You know what I mean? They're not.
- 37:11I don't think they added a lot. They just brought back their
- 37:13injured players. Joel Linton true peers out the
- 37:16same. Obviously they got the
- 37:17goalkeeper back Pole, but last year Anthony Gordon was playing
- 37:21playing amazing. His numbers haven't been the
- 37:23same as well. Obviously with it's like that, I
- 37:25mean Target in the center and Bruno Jimarez has not been that
- 37:30good at this year as well. Have we had a?
- 37:32Yeah and I don't I even thinking about top 6, I don't think
- 37:36they'll be top 6. Really.
- 37:39Yeah, I I think it's going to be they're going to be fighting for
- 37:41top 6. I think it's.
- 37:43Going to. Be tight, look at the teams
- 37:44ahead of them, Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Villa, Brighton,
- 37:47Chelsea, Tottenham and Forest. So they're clearly they're the
- 37:51only way you can make a case they're better I guess is
- 37:52Forest, but right below them is United and Fulham as well.
- 37:56So it's not like there's a gap. You have to think too, like last
- 37:59year it was like the United teams and the Chelsea's were bad
- 38:05last year. So it's like that kind of open
- 38:07the door for Newcastle to do what they did, you know, to
- 38:11perform two years ago. Like same, same thing.
- 38:13Like the last two years, there's been a lot of teams that are
- 38:15traditionally good in the Premier League that have been
- 38:17bad. So it's created a lot of space
- 38:19for these other teams, you know, So sending a note.
- 38:23All right, moving into waivers, keeping it short and sweet this
- 38:27week. I think my number one waiver
- 38:28pick up this week is Jacob Ramsey has to Villa.
- 38:32So not so much like so yeah, he he came on, he started, he's
- 38:36finally healthy. He had got an assist.
- 38:39Villa's a good team. I think the biggest thing though
- 38:41is that how scarce attacking midfielders that are available
- 38:44are. So I think from that standpoint
- 38:47he is like, he's definitely interesting, you know, and he's
- 38:51not someone he's not an in that hops up right away.
- 38:53So that's a really good one. The other one I have is Justin
- 38:56Clybert, another mid under 35% of leagues really.
- 39:00So he came on, he got subbed in in this game and he had a really
- 39:04strong performance for Bournemouth.
- 39:06He was involved in everything good they did after he got
- 39:08subbed on. I think he can be a very
- 39:11interesting pick up and I think his upside is up there with
- 39:14Ramses, yeah. He's he's got a, he's got some
- 39:17big games in him. Yeah, I think just for him, I
- 39:20think it's just a matter of is he going to be starting every
- 39:23week? He he took the penalty kick
- 39:25right. Yes, really interesting.
- 39:28So that's value there too if he's going to be their primary
- 39:31penalty taker. I'm not sure if someone came up
- 39:33came off and be that's why he took it, but if that's something
- 39:35to keep an eye out as well, that's just bonus goals you get
- 39:38if he's in the game. No, yeah.
- 39:39No, honestly, it's really interesting for a few reasons. 1
- 39:43is that Evan Nielsen drew the penalty.
- 39:45But remember, Evan Nielsen missed one a few weeks ago.
- 39:48So he probably didn't want to take it for that reason because
- 39:51he'd already missed a really high profile penalty.
- 39:53He missed, you know, and then the the, the player that
- 39:55surprised me, that didn't take it was Semenya, because you'd
- 39:57think that he's kind of like the guy there right now, just the
- 40:00way that team is. But the fact that Clibert
- 40:02stepped up and took it is, is to me a really big green flag for
- 40:05Clibert. He's kind of the guy.
- 40:07All right. The other waiver I have is.
- 40:11Ola Ena from Nottingham Forest and that's kind of more just in
- 40:15general, like sending to all your Nottingham Forest
- 40:17defenders, you know, the second best defensive record in the
- 40:22Premier League behind Liverpool, better than Arsenal, better than
- 40:27City, which City sucks. But you know, so I just feel
- 40:30like, I mean, you got to take you got to strike while the
- 40:32kettle's hot with these guys. And you know, I, I picked up
- 40:36what's his name, like Malenkovich last week and he's
- 40:39been, he's been great. He's owned in most leagues
- 40:41already, but Olena's still still only owned in 46% of the league.
- 40:47So there's still a lot of leagues where he's available.
- 40:49So I think he's he should be swooped up everywhere.
- 40:53You know, I had Maria in there. He's only roasted in 42% of the
- 40:56league. Yeah, I think that's, yeah,
- 40:57exactly. I think any sort of forest
- 40:59offender is worth worth picking up.
- 41:01I think what Aina gives you is that he offers you a little bit
- 41:04more of a potential attacking threats.
- 41:07So there's something, you know, the upsides there.
- 41:08All right, so we look into some of next week's matches.
- 41:12Do we want to recap last week's or you guys are?
- 41:15Want to skip that made so bad besides Keith?
- 41:18What? What?
- 41:19OK, guys, what? What do you mean by what Tika?
- 41:22You got Man C but you barely got it bro.
- 41:24But I got it right. But you barely go.
- 41:28It's also like, oh, you got, man.
- 41:29City. You got Man City.
- 41:31Yeah, you got. Oh my God, you picked.
- 41:33I'm, I'm sorry, there's they're easy matchups laying on it, you
- 41:36know, left and right. Then let me have the 1st pick
- 41:39this week and I'll choose Man C again.
- 41:42Southampton, go for it, you're going.
- 41:43To win, you know what you need to win, Enzo, Take Man City.
- 41:46Let's just say this, let's not pick Man C as the first one
- 41:49because that's fucking given. So we can do our five pick
- 41:52parlay. So can we talk?
- 41:54Can we talk about how? Man see is it give it again when
- 41:56you know we. Do we need to be reducing the
- 41:58amount of games that we're doing this with, not not increasing
- 42:01it? We're we're, we haven't won
- 42:02since like Week 2. And it was a glorious win when
- 42:06we what's? A glorious win that we're still
- 42:08riding. We are still riding.
- 42:10But let's let's also mention the fact that Sergey wanted to pick
- 42:13Everton. V vetoed it.
- 42:15He picked Arsenal and Everton won an Arsenal lost.
- 42:18Yeah. Yeah.
- 42:19Not that it would have mattered because Enzo, you know.
- 42:22Well, it was close. It was 21 again me and I didn't
- 42:25look. Good.
- 42:27All right. Who?
- 42:28Who wants to go first? Well, should we talk about, are
- 42:30there any interesting matchups that we want to talk about from
- 42:32like a fantasy standpoint first, or we just say fuck it, we go
- 42:34straight into the bat? Ah, let's do some matchups.
- 42:37Just looking at this, I'm really excited about the.
- 42:40I think like there's a few teams here that are kind of
- 42:43interesting. I think there's some Bretford
- 42:46defenders that are still on waivers that could be good to
- 42:48pick up first. Ipswich, I think, I honestly
- 42:52think that Manchester City, this is the game if you want to start
- 42:54their defensive defenders in Anderson, we have Southampton.
- 42:59Not in Forest, Leicester. That should be a good game
- 43:01fantasy wise. I think they're both going to go
- 43:03at it. Leicester K what had that last
- 43:05minute winner against Southampton, right?
- 43:09You won 32, I think, and you just said not in Forest as the
- 43:12second best, you know, Would you go for the defense or would you
- 43:16go for the offense? I'm I'm sorry, my narrating
- 43:19forest defenders happily in this game.
- 43:21I agree. Not not saying like I, I, you
- 43:23know, I just think that that's a great spot.
- 43:25You know. I think the exciting matchups
- 43:27for this week for me would be Everton, Fulham and Brighton
- 43:30versus Wolves. I think Brighton Wolves could be
- 43:33a good one. Why do you think that just
- 43:35because the wolves are so counter attacking and Brighton
- 43:37is so kind of possession? Yeah, and I think both of them
- 43:41are like kind of high octane. At least Wolves try to play high
- 43:43pace and they push up and they try to attack.
- 43:45So I think that has making a few, a few good goals.
- 43:49Do you know what's the making of a total chop game?
- 43:51Is this Crystal Palace Tottenham game I.
- 43:52Was just going to say the same thing.
- 43:54I haven't won a game yet and they're playing Tottenham and
- 43:57they're playing fucking Tottenham and they're playing at
- 44:00home. It might be my pick.
- 44:03All right. Anything else, any other
- 44:05interest? I think the, I think the West
- 44:07Ham game for United, I mean, is there any fear with starting
- 44:10United players or United defenders?
- 44:12I'm always fearful starting my United players.
- 44:15So fearful he gets cut, gets kicked out.
- 44:17Can't even talk about them. So fearful, he runs.
- 44:20He runs off the stage. Yeah.
- 44:21Me, yeah. Hey look, you forget about the
- 44:24mute by yourself. I'm always fearful playing my.
- 44:26You're always fearful. You're always fearful of United
- 44:29players. I mean, what's West Ham's deal
- 44:31though? I'm dumb like Antonio, just like
- 44:35I think you said it best like a couple weeks ago.
- 44:37They always buy a player to try to replace Antonio.
- 44:40Then they they keep playing Antonio.
- 44:42Yeah, I think his work rate is great, but Fancy was right.
- 44:45He's not doing anything Fancy was.
- 44:47He had one incredible game when he came in, what, last week?
- 44:51Yeah, yeah. But then this week I'm
- 44:53underwhelmed. And Bowen hasn't been the same
- 44:55fucking player either. Yeah, like Picetta is
- 44:58disappointing, but we kind of, we knew he was going to be.
- 45:00Yeah, we knew he was going to be disappointing, but Bowen
- 45:02shouldn't be. Well, actually, Bowen's got 106
- 45:05fancy total points. No, Bowen's been solid.
- 45:08He's had, yeah, he's had a 31 point games gone 2020.
- 45:10He's solid. He's he's like, he's doing well
- 45:12in spite of West Ham's kind of sump.
- 45:14Yeah. I I, I think without Muhammad
- 45:19Crudis, that team is just. It's hard pressed to.
- 45:22Oh, that's right, they don't have crudis.
- 45:23Yeah, that we have three games. And then this big, the big one
- 45:26is Arsenal, Liverpool, that's gonna be.
- 45:28Fun. I'll go Liverpool or not.
- 45:30I think so too, even at the Emirates.
- 45:33Even at the Emirates and Arsenal, Arsenal is still
- 45:36favourites in that game all. Right.
- 45:38And so, all right, and so it's your pick time to make time to
- 45:43push your money where your mouth is.
- 45:47You know what, I'm going to go to Liverpool against Arsenal.
- 45:50Liverpool win Liverpool. Win all right.
- 45:54I hate you is. That going to be yours.
- 45:56It's not, but you know, we talked about getting a start off
- 46:00to like a good. You can still you can still
- 46:02choose the easy one if you like. You know what, that's good.
- 46:04That's Saturday, so we have the option to.
- 46:07Yeah, true. All right.
- 46:08Liverpool versus Arsenal, I'm in support of that one.
- 46:11Is it? Wait so it's at Emirates?
- 46:13So oh, wait. Plus. 210 I'm I'm getting plus
- 46:16220 on mine, but yeah. OK, perfect.
- 46:19Even better. Yeah, it's at the Americans.
- 46:21I don't know if it makes a difference for you or not all.
- 46:23Of those injuries you don't. And that suspension?
- 46:27No Saliba all. Right.
- 46:30So I'm going to. So I'm thinking Brighton over
- 46:35Wolves, that's -185 I'm also thinking Branford over Ipswich.
- 46:39That's also -140 those are two good ones that I see.
- 46:43But I kind of want to go Tottenham versus Palace, oh
- 46:48-120. That on Tottenham.
- 46:52Yeah. Even though me and Enzo, we're
- 46:53both just saying this feels like such a chop game.
- 46:56Yeah. All right, so you, you like.
- 46:59Yeah, we're saying it the other way around.
- 47:00We're saying that we're worried that House will get something
- 47:02out of this game. I understand well you guys.
- 47:04Were saying, yeah, you're just saying fuck you.
- 47:07All right, so you want to is that your bet?
- 47:10Tottenham last chance. Tottenham, yeah, Tottenham win.
- 47:15OK. I mean, do I need to pick
- 47:18something easy now? Because you guys both pick
- 47:20things that I don't. I don't think it might just pick
- 47:22on the. I say just pick the team that
- 47:23you think is going to do it. Look at that, Villa.
- 47:27Maybe not. I guess I'll go Villa.
- 47:30Damn the a draw and man see Southampton is plus 850A draw,
- 47:36but Southampton to win is plus 1400 all right so.
- 47:39Right now we have Tottenham, Liverpool, City, Villa.
- 47:42You went Villa, I'm going to go Villa.
- 47:45Is it at Villa Park or is it? It's at Villa.
- 47:47It's at Villa. All right, This has been episode
- 47:4963 of Draft Offsides. My name is Keith, I'm with Tico
- 47:52Enzo and we will see you next week.
- 47:54Follow us on all the socials. All the things did.
- 48:07You guys see who played today? Who played today?
- 48:12Neymar is back. I I.
- 48:14Keep saying that like. Like like it doesn't like.
- 48:17You guys don't care. No, he's done.
- 48:20He's done. He's might as well.
- 48:21He might as well be like just at the beach in Aruba right now.
- 48:24It's like how I don't pay attention to fucking Messi's
- 48:26games with Into Miami because it's.
- 48:28Done. Yeah, but Messi's like 37, this
- 48:30guy's 32, and he wants to make the World Cup roster.
- 48:33You think he's going to make the World Cup roster?
- 48:35I hope he makes the World Cup roster.
- 48:37You hope he does. I mean, considering how bad
- 48:39Brazil liked in the COPPA, actually he has a good chance of
- 48:41being, well, I make a gift from Jeff.
- 48:43Yeah, he would definitely make a difference, I think.
- 48:46Because of his style of playing, the how technically gifted he
- 48:50is, I think at any age he could not make anyone the best
- 48:53defender in the world. So.
- 48:55Do you really think that he's like, I did?
- 48:58I mean, what do you, what's your take on the Saudi league in
- 49:00general? Like how can he even sit here
- 49:02and be like, it's it matters. But it it doesn't matter.
- 49:06It really does not matter. But for him specifically, it's
- 49:10not that no European club wanted him, Barcelona wanted him, Chavi
- 49:13said. No, I don't want him.
- 49:14No one could afford his wages. So until his contract is
- 49:17finished ends in all, he'll always just make sure two years
- 49:22he he stuck there. I think he'll end up going to
- 49:24MLS or somewhere else, but maybe even Brazil.
- 49:27But it's just he put himself in that situation.
- 49:32I don't. That's what if you tell me like
- 49:34you see what Messi did, I'm like, why would I care?
- 49:36Like I saw the guy playing this prime in the much superior
- 49:39league. Why would I care what he does in
- 49:40MLS safety with Ronaldo? But why do you?
- 49:43Would you care what? But wait, why would you care
- 49:44what? Neymar.
- 49:45Does that. It's just a Neymar is a player
- 49:47that I have more of a connection with and I do like comeback
- 49:50stories. Whereas Neymar, I feel like a
- 49:51messy story is pretty much done. He's won everything, he's
- 49:54accomplished everything. Put him down in the GOAT,
- 49:56whereas Neymar, he, he could come back from this, maybe win
- 50:00the World Cup or do something significant with his career.
- 50:03There's like the redemption part of it.
- 50:05I see. OK.
- 50:05I think it's just. Selfish.
- 50:06He just likes cousin neighbor. He no, he got a if Neymar wins a
- 50:11World Cup with Brazil, then all of a sudden that his his whole
- 50:14career and story has puts on has a very different feel to it.
- 50:17If it ends, do you? Think that Brazil could win a
- 50:19World Cup? No, at this, at this time, I
- 50:23don't think they have the squad or no.
- 50:24I don't think they have. Can you be honest with me, Tico?
- 50:27This in my opinion, I'm not saying they're not a good,
- 50:30they're good, they're not good players, but this in my
- 50:33lifetime, finance is one of the worst Brazil teams I've ever
- 50:35seen. So I can give you 2 that are
- 50:37worse than them. Go on the 2006 one led by Kaka
- 50:43and Robinia when Dunga was the manager.
- 50:47That's the worst. Wait, wait.
- 50:49Can I look at that? Can I look at that?
- 50:50Can you go on to the next one? Go on.
- 50:52You know what? But I I also will say it's a
- 50:53lot. It's like the.
- 50:54I'm sorry, that's 2010. I'm sorry, 2. 1010 We always
- 50:57look at history through roast tinted glasses.
- 50:59Like it's easier that than being like Kaka rabinia, blah blah
- 51:02blah. But I think, you know, it's
- 51:03hard. It's hard to think about them
- 51:05and not think of them as better than SO.
- 51:07Kaka obviously at his peak played as well as anyone else
- 51:12ever, but at that time it was after his injuries where his
- 51:14speed, it was not the same. Robino, I was a player, I was
- 51:17never high on that. Then I don't.
- 51:20I also don't like the 2006 because history is going to look
- 51:23at the names, Ronaldo, Adriano, Ronaldinho, Gaga, they're going
- 51:27to look at those names. But as a product on the field,
- 51:29that team did not make sense. The 2010 team I'm looking at a
- 51:33bro. 6:00 and 10:00 No, the one I the first one I said is 2010.
- 51:40There's some players are under raid on that in the 2010 team
- 51:43Hulk I think. Some fucking battles.
- 51:46Apto. Fucking great fucking striker.
- 51:49Robinho. Robinho at the time.
- 51:53At the time, Robinho, Ronaldinho.
- 51:56You got Alano in there. Who's the backup?
- 51:59Cleverson, dude, He's a good Kaka.
- 52:02Julio Baptisto when he played for Arsenal.
- 52:04Like RoboCop? OK, Enzo, you I you are not
- 52:07listening to what Keith and I were talking about.
- 52:09Gaga amazing player but that's after his injuries where he lost
- 52:13the speed and he was not the same player.
- 52:14You mentioned one player, but they got Lucio and Juan in
- 52:17defense. Adria, they had the.
- 52:20OK, who, who would you rather have Lucio and Juan or would you
- 52:22like to have Medi Tao and Marquinos?
- 52:26There we go. So I we're comparing these two
- 52:28teams like Luis Fabiano was their striker.
- 52:30Come on, man. Luis Fabiano was the striker.
- 52:32Michel Bos was their left back. I still think, I still think
- 52:37it's one of the worst. Brazil too, because it doesn't
- 52:39work. I think I, I think there's a
- 52:41combo of the squad not being kind of as prestigious.
- 52:45I think there's also a little bit of like the Brazilian, the
- 52:48aura of Brazil is a little bit rubbed off like I've not, they
- 52:50don't like everyone thinks they can take them.
- 52:52But the same way like with Man United now where people like are
- 52:54looking forward to playing them. And I also think that the the
- 52:57coaching hasn't been great. I think like the like Tico, that
- 53:00Duda team you're talking about, like people always say, it's
- 53:02because the way that his style of play didn't match with the
- 53:04players and that's why they were bad.
- 53:05But it wasn't necessarily that the players were bad, right?
- 53:08Like, like from a quality standpoint, it wasn't like that
- 53:11was the worst quality team ever. I'm going to say I think his
- 53:13best squad says you're the Spanish squad, the German squad
- 53:17then and they're young. The Italian squad I feel can
- 53:21could beat that Brazilian team and that's, I don't think that's
- 53:24even a good Italian team. You're talking about current
- 53:28Italian versus current Brazilian.
- 53:29Yeah, but you have to look at what the current Brazilian is
- 53:32there. They fired their manager.
- 53:33They haven't really found a replacement for him.
- 53:36They don't have a, they don't have a 10.
- 53:38Pretty much right now. They're trying to figure that
- 53:39shit out as well. And one of Brazil's strengths,
- 53:43ever since we're all the same age we've been watching a
- 53:45football, is the right back and left back.
- 53:47We went from Roberto Carlos to Marcello.
- 53:50That's like 20 plus years of domination.
- 53:52We went from Michael and to Danielle's to right now.
- 53:55Fucking Danilo is the right back before it was Kafu.
- 53:59Let's just say England's going to win the next World Cup and we
- 54:01got we got too cool so. Yeah, you're happy, right?
- 54:05I think. I think you should be happy.
- 54:06Yeah, I'm fine with like there's no one else who really get Eddie
- 54:10Howe. I saw a lot of people, they were
- 54:11not happy about it because I guess they wanted a English
- 54:14manager. This is the.
- 54:15Thing, but it's the thing in England, it doesn't make sense.
- 54:17And don't get wrong, if if there was a good enough English
- 54:21manager to take this team, I would have said yes.
- 54:27There is not one. England doesn't create great
- 54:30coaches. We haven't done for years.
- 54:32You sent, didn't you send something to who was the last
- 54:34English manager to win the Premier League?
- 54:37I send it. Yeah, right.
- 54:38You send that 1996. 92 or something?
- 54:41Yeah, like in the 90s. Because we don't, we don't, we
- 54:44don't give coaches opportunities.
- 54:46Now look at the Argentinian team, like the other 23 coach
- 54:50then became the national coach. Same with the Spanish, did the
- 54:52same thing. Germany does the same thing
- 54:53where they promote the under 23, under 21 coach to the main team
- 54:58if they do well, there's none of that in England.
- 55:01So I'm happy with too cool. Obviously I know we spoke about
- 55:04Pep, but Pep wasn't going to leave until the end of the
- 55:06season and you can't wait that long.
- 55:08So who else you got? To look at, you also have to
- 55:11think about like, like Pat is a really good coach, but he has so
- 55:14many ideas and there's so much going on and it's probably
- 55:16really hard for that to be translated for a national team
- 55:19where you're only playing with these guys for a few days and
- 55:22expecting to play games. I think Tukal's adaptability is
- 55:25gonna is much more suited for international soccer.
- 55:28And he's a great football of mine.
- 55:30It was either him or or Yogan Klopp.
- 55:32But then Yogan Klopp took on freaking Red Bull so.
- 55:34That would have been cool. Yeah, Yogan Klopp would have
- 55:37been cool, but you know, it is what is.
- 55:41Like Ivan wrote like a song for Keith.
- 55:43You wrote a song. 1st to the 3rd, 1st to the third.
- 55:47Well, more of a chant, not a song.
- 55:51First to third, well, I guess my response chant is still have the
- 55:55most points, still have the most points.
- 55:58So ultimately, like, yeah, right now, but I'm not, I'm not sad.
- 56:02I'm not, I'm not, I'm not alarmed.
- 56:03I'm feeling good about my position because yes, I got a
- 56:08lost say but I was also the third high scoring team and I'm
- 56:11so managed to lose so. Yeah, but today when I woke up,
- 56:15I was looking at the matches and all of that stuff.
- 56:17I realized you're going to go 1st to 3rd.
- 56:20And it made me happy. And I was like the whole day.
- 56:23I'm like, I can't wait until I bring that up.
- 56:25And also I'm kind of disappointed because I feel like
- 56:28Gollum is your second place avatar picture, not your third
- 56:31place so. I think it's just first or not
- 56:35first. I don't think I can do an
- 56:37avatar. I don't think I can change my
- 56:38avatar per. Her position.
- 56:40Her. Position that would just get a
- 56:42little out of control. You kind of say if it take like,
- 56:45don't have a fucking avatar, you're lazy as fuck.
- 56:47You just got a red. Shirt Yeah, it's so lame.
- 56:49You're fucking lame. Oh, you're going to wait for me?
- 56:52I was going to say if I win the Powerball, I got to apologize.
- 56:54You're not going to see me ever again.
- 56:56Really you, you wouldn't like give us money?
- 56:58Oh, I would fucking disappear off the place.
- 57:00The Planet Me phone number changed.
- 57:02Instagram gone. Facebook gone.
- 57:04You ain't going to fucking fire me, homeboy.
- 57:06I'm gone. Where you going?
- 57:08I can't tell you that I told you.
- 57:10That I wouldn't be able to find you.
- 57:12I probably couldn't afford to go there.
- 57:13No, I'm not. I'm not saying no way where I'm
- 57:15going. I've already got my plan gone.
- 57:17Why won't be in America? I can tell you that I'll take
- 57:21those American dollars elsewhere.
- 57:23A mystery buyer has has bought Nottingham Forest.
- 57:28And it's selling all the players to Tottenham.
- 57:31Why would I do that? Because they have a better
- 57:33defensive record than Tottenham does.
- 57:35They doing a better. I was going to say that's one of
- 57:37the players I want to talk about today.
- 57:39Which one? Mario.
- 57:41I like him. You know.
- 57:44Did you guys, I know that I think you saw it, the picture
- 57:47that I posted of me Sergey on Instagram.
- 57:50Yeah, I liked it. So.
- 57:51I missed it, what is it? It's still up there.
- 57:54It's just him being frustrated next to me and I have like this
- 57:57big stupid smile on my face and. It wasn't.
- 58:01It's how I picture you 2 always. But it was our cousin's kids
- 58:04birthday. I was turning 9.
- 58:06He came late and I asked like everyone like hey, ask Sergey
- 58:08what happened with fantasy because I was, I was also
- 58:12playing game of fantasy NFL and he was in first place in that
- 58:15and I overtook him in both of those.
- 58:18So I've just been bugging him the whole time.
- 58:20That's why he's just frustrated to be nice to me.
- 58:24That's awesome. I do love that.
- 58:27We're recorded, right? Yeah.
- 58:29I have something to ask for forgiveness for.
- 58:34Oh, Julia. I might message Derek the
- 58:38morning of one of the games and hold it that Matuma was playing
- 58:45and that you put in Casamero what she did.
- 58:49Did you really feel bad about it?
- 58:54I know I'm smiling right now, but yeah, I know that worked out
- 58:59for me. But my other confession is.
- 59:01But why? Why would you?
- 59:02Well, you're not even near the top.
- 59:03Why are you trying to bring me down?
- 59:05I'm. Trying to bring all you down.
- 59:06So I also messaged Sergey and told him that one of his
- 59:09defenders weren't playing and I couldn't change those defenders.
- 59:12It didn't work, obviously, because he still lost what it's
- 59:16trying to be. I've been a good league member.
- 59:20I feel bad about. That I can't.
- 59:22I feel bad about kids. So collusion that that sounds.
- 59:24Like collusion, it's called, you know, just letting your homie
- 59:27know that, hey, you got to play the ace line.
- 59:29He's also on the other side of the world at the moment.
- 59:31So, you know, just doing a Who is Derek?
- 59:33No, he's not. I wasn't talking with him
- 59:35yesterday. Oh whoops, I.
- 59:37Literally had a look at that man for fucking two hours straight
- 59:40as we play next year after he just won my ass in fantasy.
- 59:43So just just to give some context to this, the player that
- 59:49Enzo help was matching against Keith, and I just pulled the
- 59:53numbers. If Enzo didn't reach out to
- 59:56Keith, Keith would have won his matchup if.
- 59:59Enzo didn't reach out to Derek. Who's the?
- 1:00:00Other guy, I'm sorry, Keith would have won his matchup by 7
- 1:00:03points and would have been first place, whereas the other person
- 1:00:06he reached out was the person I was playing, Sergei.
- 1:00:10But I demolished him by 40 plus points so that wouldn't have
- 1:00:13made a difference. So that tells you that's Keith's
- 1:00:15own fault, that he should demolish Derek like he's
- 1:00:18demolished everybody. Else.
- 1:00:19No, what you just did is first of all, this is like a fucking
- 1:00:24no no. In fantasy, this is like a huge
- 1:00:26sin. Is it?
- 1:00:27I think it's been a sin, yeah. How's it a sin?
- 1:00:30Because right now. I've seen you guys do it.
- 1:00:32It's not you guys, but I've seen people do it in the chat, like
- 1:00:35straight up. That's not, I guess, anyone's
- 1:00:38back. I don't know if it's that much.
- 1:00:39I don't know. I, I, I'm mixed about it.
- 1:00:41I'm I'm little disappointed that you did it to me.
- 1:00:44I'm I'm sorry. It's Keith.
- 1:00:45We've seen your trades. We.
- 1:00:47I know you have no morals in kind of.
- 1:00:50No, I think, I think it's one thing to do it in the group
- 1:00:52chat, like publicly, like yo Derek, change your line up.
- 1:00:55It's another thing they'll be messaging someone on the side
- 1:00:57and doing it. I think that's where the line is
- 1:00:59crossed. It's good content for now.
- 1:01:02That's why I did it for I didn't.
- 1:01:04Disappointed. It's OK.
- 1:01:06Don't worry. You could have texted me at
- 1:01:086:00, be like, hey, you forgot to wake up.
- 1:01:10Say your lineup. Oh.
- 1:01:11Yeah. Where's my, where's my tax in
- 1:01:13the morning? Where's that?
- 1:01:14Sunday. Sunday at six, Sunday at 550.
- 1:01:17Where's my tax? Oh, I wasn't even looking at
- 1:01:19lineups at that point. I could have used that.
- 1:01:21Hey, hey. I wouldn't switch out Savio and
- 1:01:24Jack Relish. I'm sorry I was busy at work.
- 1:01:26I would have won my matchup if I woke up in time and made the
- 1:01:29change. Well, the other leak.
- 1:01:31Yeah, Oh. You don't care about the other
- 1:01:34leak. But I would have won it.
- 1:01:36Oh, OK, yeah. Yeah, I'm sorry.
- 1:01:39Well, because Keith didn't tell me about something.
- 1:01:42He didn't tell Tikka about something about his also.
- 1:01:44What did I not tell you guys? I'm I'm an open.
- 1:01:46That was that was you knew something about about Tikko's
- 1:01:51lineup before last year and you didn't tell him.
- 1:01:53I didn't tell anyone though, Like I, I noticed I didn't say
- 1:01:56anything. That's that's oh.
- 1:01:57You found out You found a little.
- 1:02:00I'm an adult, I don't need people to give me advice on
- 1:02:03who's playing, who's out. If I make a mistake, that's on
- 1:02:05me. I don't need fucking people to
- 1:02:07babysit my team, especially from desperate people who are like
- 1:02:11mediocracy. What is your what are you like
- 1:02:12middle of the league? I'm 5th but I'm not the. 4/04.
- 1:02:17I'm the fourth top highest scorer, right behind you 2 and
- 1:02:22I'm 5th, so I'm playing. I should be where I'm at at the
- 1:02:24moment, I'm just saying. All right, well, I'm, I'm
- 1:02:27feeling a little hurt in between, but I think we should,
- 1:02:30we should move on before this feeling deepens.
- 1:02:32At least, at least I was honest. Yeah, I appreciate that.
- 1:02:35I appreciate honesty. I don't care for honesty.
- 1:02:43I'm torn. I'm very torn.
- 1:02:45I don't know if we can do this podcast anymore.
