- 0:00So there are two and a game I want to talk about that are she
- 0:06won't relate. It's really three questions to
- 0:08ask. 1 is that every holiday has item.
- 0:14Sukkot has a lot many Throg, ESOC has the sedes and matzah,
- 0:19and the other holidays have the things as well.
- 0:21I shouldn't ask the so far. No Kippur is the Tifila itself.
- 0:26We're in no entire bed with the service.
- 0:29Shabout doesn't really have anything.
- 0:31Yes, it has the Qurban. That's the whole idea of the
- 0:33Omid and that you're counting down to a sacrifice that was
- 0:37born in the bed of Midas. But the outside of that, it
- 0:39doesn't really have any mitzvah item.
- 0:42It represents the holiday. It has customs like staying up
- 0:47all night. It's customs like having dairy
- 0:51or having flowers around the house and on the shore, but it
- 0:55doesn't have an item. That's question #1 let's answer
- 0:59that and there are two more. The other two questions are what
- 1:01is with those other two customs? What's the idea of milk became a
- 1:05significant thing, cheesecake, dairy, etcetera on this holiday?
- 1:09And thirdly, what is this in Yan of flowers and trees on this
- 1:14holiday as well. So first, the fact that there's
- 1:17no item. So the rabbi say like this, the
- 1:20reason Shabout does not have an item to represent the holiday
- 1:25because on the holiday of Matanzura, which is Shabwat, the
- 1:29item is you. You as a Jew are the person that
- 1:32was born anew on this day. You became a Jew.
- 1:35Matt on to that is when you went from a nation of the children of
- 1:38Hamid Sakunyang Kovias to become a Jew with a purpose and a plan
- 1:44and a future and meaning and everything came about on this
- 1:48day. So you don't need a love to
- 1:51shake or matsati or anything else.
- 1:53You yourself are celebrating you and because of that, what we do
- 1:58is do more of us. We eat a lot, we enjoy
- 2:01ourselves. That's Allah and we learn a lot
- 2:04and we spend time at Jewel. That's also bringing out the
- 2:07full you and the new spiritual version of a Jew postmatan to
- 2:11that. That is really the idea and the
- 2:13theme and the feeling that the president was to have a shall
- 2:15vote. You should have a good sense of
- 2:18pride of what you're holding, thrilled that you're in this
- 2:21position, appreciative that God blessed us to be in this room.
- 2:25That is the you compare yourself to the rest of the world.
- 2:28If you want any more confirmation to this concept and
- 2:31say look what I look like, look what they look like, look what
- 2:33I'm working on look what they're working on.
- 2:36Look at my children, look at their children on and on and you
- 2:40have the floor appreciation right.
- 2:42Like I mentioned that you're my morning.
- 2:43The classic Ammara of yourself says on this day I have the
- 2:47greatest delicacies because of love how you're mop now for this
- 2:50day, call me or set me up Ashoka.
- 2:53How many, O sefs? I'm like any other Joe in the
- 2:56marketplace. If not for this day, I would be
- 2:58like anybody else. Instead, I became rabbi
- 3:00yourself. I became a rabbi from the
- 3:02Gemara. I have a whole world of Torah
- 3:06and of life and of meaning. And that's the overall theme.
- 3:09So number one, we don't have an item on chavoot because we are
- 3:13the item. That's number one.
- 3:15And we're celebrating who we are and we will hold #2 What about
- 3:19the fact the custom that we do have, which is the flowers?
- 3:24All we have flowers. The kids come home with plants
- 3:27and flowers. Really, plants and flowers are
- 3:28two different things. But why do we have it?
- 3:31So the overall theme is #1 I'd said it, we were judged on the
- 3:37fruits of the tree. OK, number one.
- 3:40Number two, and there's more important, is that Hardesty
- 3:43night, there's a starting point. Matanzo da was a reset to the
- 3:49world. What does it mean reset to the
- 3:51world? God made it that by Hardesty
- 3:53Night everything was perfect, literally perfect.
- 3:57How perfect was it? The deaf were able to hear, the
- 4:01blind were able to see. Those were were disabled, were
- 4:04able to walk. There's no tissue, there's no
- 4:07imperfection at all. And harassena, it was the basuk,
- 4:11says Harut. The the the hot were carved and
- 4:15we read the words Harut which means we were free of any
- 4:18issues. It was impossible at that time
- 4:21for a Jewish person. Any person was by our sandwich
- 4:24was an entire Jewish nation, which by the way was all of our
- 4:28souls were all they're all perfect in both the spiritual
- 4:32and physical sense. There was 0 blemish and that
- 4:35included temperature was perfect.
- 4:38The environment was perfect. The ground is perfect.
- 4:41So even the ground, which is a mountain in a desert, which is
- 4:45completely bare and could not grow anything, was able to
- 4:49sprout beautiful flowers. And that was a sense and a
- 4:53display of perfection. In the same sense, it also
- 4:57sprouted a great smell. It also had the most powerful
- 5:02sound of Hasheda Matanzarov, the most amazing sight.
- 5:07Every sense was perfect. There's none area in existence
- 5:11that didn't exist then in the photo's form, people,
- 5:15temperature, ground, sight, smell everything.
- 5:21So because of that, we bring in the the, the flowers to bring
- 5:26out that by heart scene night, there were flowers, not just
- 5:29flowers. It grew to perfection.
- 5:31And that's also a theme. What does that show that's
- 5:33materializing the behind the scenes of matanzo, which means
- 5:38behind the scenes of Torah's purpose.
- 5:39We know that when we whenever we delve into it, we feel that then
- 5:43we go back to life and we deal with life's in a certain sense,
- 5:47imperfections. You got to deal with this one
- 5:49and that wonderful Angel challenge and health challenge
- 5:51and all these different things. But behind the scenes of Tuda is
- 5:54still perfect. So it's like by harassing about
- 5:57Matan Tuda, the beauty and the profession of Tuda push through
- 6:01and we're celebrating that on on this day that we know that
- 6:05underlying underwater, but yet on the ground we have
- 6:09perfection. Yes, at times it doesn't fully
- 6:12display itself, but we know it's really there and we're living
- 6:15with that beauty. We sense that unshaveled in the
- 6:19same sense as the idea of dairy. Why we have Kalabda many reasons
- 6:25we said I'm sure that morning by the Kedush.
- 6:27One reason is because my army sale came back from my town to
- 6:30DA. They had to keep kosher now and
- 6:32it was very difficult to kosher your pots much more confident
- 6:35comes to me when it comes to dairy.
- 6:37It's much easier to keep kosher dairy than it is me.
- 6:40So they went straight to dairy. Another reason is for you 40
- 6:45days. Thank you.
- 6:45Just thinking about you of there were of 40 days Durantia, the
- 6:49word halal it's 4830 and 2 is 40.
- 6:54I say for us Scalabi, we feel good about ourselves. 4040 days,
- 6:5940 days of matanzo. All right, my children is
- 7:02upstairs and 40 days. There are other reasons as well,
- 7:05but the reason that we're going to stick with is the idea that
- 7:09we are brand. I'll tell you two more 1 is that
- 7:13we are brand new children. A child drinks milk.
- 7:17We too, by matata to our grand new best children and the tadaas
- 7:21compared to zabat and khalab. Honey, right, Right.
- 7:27Honey, I'm sorry. That's khalab and dwash.
- 7:31Dwash is honey and khalab is milk.
- 7:34Those last two on the same field, which means there's a
- 7:36beauty and a freshness and a special element to tada we want
- 7:41to appreciate. So we have khalab to represent
- 7:44that. But the deeper the theme is that
- 7:47we're witnessing and crossing into a road of perfection.
- 7:50We're causing into a fresh time of a perfect world.
- 7:55And what we're representing is that we know deep down does to
- 8:00our world is perfect. We know that whenever you I'll
- 8:03give you an example whenever you say if you do to it all you're
- 8:06going to have miracles right in the you're going to have
- 8:10miracles. What is that theme?
- 8:13Why is it that we're going to have miracles if we keep answer
- 8:17is if you learn to that especially the theme is is that
- 8:21we're moving into the perfect world that God created.
- 8:25The deeper ideas is God created a perfect world and he created a
- 8:29perfect compass to that world and the system is if you follow
- 8:34that perfect compass, you step into the perfect world.
- 8:38If one deviates from that perfect compass, compass and
- 8:41they deal with a less perfect version of the world, that is a
- 8:45system. That's how it goes in a deep
- 8:47form. So our idea on Shavuot is to
- 8:49say, I want to represent and to reflect that beauty.
- 8:55I'm going to do so in three ways.
- 8:57Number one, I celebrate myself, Myself in the perfect form.
- 9:02A Jew by Matanzora was a perfect Jew myself in the perfect form.
- 9:07So I don't have matzah and etzorog and things like that.
- 9:10I have myself acting the right way on Shavuot.
- 9:14That's myself in the perfect form.
- 9:16Me with the tada, I celebrate that and therefore I don't delve
- 9:20into other things. I don't focus on other things.
- 9:22I use myself as the item in the midst of if I could dance, I
- 9:26would dance for myself, so to speak.
- 9:28Secondly, I have the flowers. Again, the world was perfect.
- 9:32The world was perfect, we said, in all those different ways and
- 9:36the way people were able to see and hear smell and see and, and,
- 9:40and like we said, see all those different forms.
- 9:43And because of that, we have, we try to have a perfect sight,
- 9:47which is the beauty of the flowers coming out.
- 9:49We have flowers and three, the milk to represent the idea.
- 9:53Now, should you have honey? I could see that now those who
- 9:57add honey to the picture as well.
- 9:59But the theme is again on Chavort by Matanzo.
- 10:04We were babies, brand new babies.
- 10:07We were like we said, we had the beauty of the fact that's a
- 10:11fresh start in every sort of way.
- 10:13And because of that we want to represent that without Mary and
- 10:16our idea. So we have to be here a lot of
- 10:19different ways now more customs and concepts to play into this.
- 10:23But the overall theme is 1 idea shall what should be in our
- 10:26minds but we set and therefore reflection of the perfect world
- 10:32that a Jew lives with. Life doesn't always feel
- 10:34perfect, but deep down there is deep down the structure that we
- 10:38have is a perfect compass than a perfect world.
- 10:42Now what about the fact that I can say for my life doesn't feel
- 10:45perfect. I had this challenge.
- 10:47That challenge once you have to our life, which we all have the
- 10:53imperfections that we sense are part of the to our life's tests,
- 10:58which means if you take a non Jew, someone without to our and
- 11:01you give me his tests. He has financial challenges, he
- 11:04has health challenges, he has relationship challenges, which
- 11:06we all have. So that person, those challenges
- 11:09don't play into his perfect world for us, however, even our
- 11:14challenges play into our perfect world.
- 11:17How so? Because if I have to make money
- 11:19and I'm struggling financially, that's also part of my Torah
- 11:23perfect world. That's building my muna of my
- 11:25perfect world. If I have to deal with someone I
- 11:28don't get along with right, that's also part of my Torah
- 11:31perfect world because I have to fight the ET al ah, and fight
- 11:34for Shalom in the Torah angles of my perfect world.
- 11:38That fits right in. If I have to deal with, then it
- 11:41also a health challenge also part 'cause that's the Usuni.
- 11:45That's a challenges and struggle and muna, et cetera.
- 11:48In that Torah perfect world. It turns out that once you have
- 11:53Torah, you have the perfect world and things are going good
- 11:56and you have the perfect world. When you have to deal with the
- 11:59little issues that you have to face.
- 12:00There is no degree in your life of imperfection that's only
- 12:04built when you have this access, Axel, and you have this compass
- 12:10of the Torah life. And that all happened with my
- 12:13time, Toda. The difference without Torah in
- 12:16existence and with Torah in existence, the difference
- 12:18between the world being empty, hollow, every challenge being a
- 12:23useless headache, every difficulty being nothing, every
- 12:26beauty being also purposeless to the world that we have today,
- 12:32which is one that underlying everything's perfect.
- 12:35The world in itself is perfect for us, and even the challenges
- 12:38play into that perfection and there really is no area that has
- 12:43an issue. Just to prove out that point,
- 12:45Ralphie is set up as a rabbi who's always the one that we
- 12:48quote. He's set up Nah, for this day.
- 12:51I'd be like Angel in the marketplace.
- 12:52So I'm going to celebrate. He's the representative.
- 12:56You know what kind of challenge he has.
- 12:58Rabbie is famous being the rabbi and the gemal went blind and
- 13:02he's famous for being the rabbi who when he went blind, even
- 13:07though he was a humongous teacher and he was the source of
- 13:10much trap for everyone when he went blind around the same time,
- 13:14he if we got all this trap and the Gemara tells us countless
- 13:19examples where he would be sitting and listening and say
- 13:23that doesn't make sense, that law doesn't make sense.
- 13:25And they would tell him doesn't make sense, retorteth us, that
- 13:30doesn't make sense. You're the one who talked to us,
- 13:32and he had to be retaught the entire Torah.
- 13:35That's not an easy life. That's not a perfect life at
- 13:37all, but that is a person. He's the one who celebrated.
- 13:40Why? I don't know the timeline, but I
- 13:42believe you celebrated after the fact.
- 13:43Why? Because the life of a Jew is a
- 13:46perfect life with the perfection, with the beauty, and
- 13:50even with the challenges. And all of this can be reflected
- 13:53and appreciate to that on his heart, right?
- 13:56You speak about perfection and Shalom and Sherlock.
- 14:00Shalom complete. Also if everyone got healed.
- 14:04Yes. What's our cover?
- 14:05Not supposed to. Be.
- 14:06Same idea you want. To know if we can get the same
- 14:10healing. If I don't, we do something like
- 14:12we're supposed to. To bring out the same healing,
- 14:15to marry the same? I'm not sure.
- 14:17I don't know. During the during the I said
- 14:19that we. I don't know.
- 14:21We have in mind for the I. Don't know what the cost of
- 14:24making me it will be. Doesn't make sense.
- 14:27Aren't sure what the world is. Reset will make sense.
- 14:30None of this.
