- 0:49100 episodes of the Warrior King's podcast.
- 0:53And with all that being said, let's dive right into the
- 0:56episode. Hello and welcome to the Warrior
- 0:58King's podcast. I'm your host, Michael Riggs,
- 1:01here to assist you on your journey to living a fully
- 1:03optimized, leveled up life as a man.
- 1:06So again, welcome and welcome back to the Warrior Kings
- 1:09podcast. It's great to be here today.
- 1:11It's great to talk to you today. But yeah, 100 episodes.
- 1:14It's totally crazy to me that it's been 100 episodes already.
- 1:18You know, it's been 2 years creating the podcast, 2 years
- 1:21talking to you. It's been an amazing wild ride.
- 1:24That's what we're going to be talking about today is the
- 1:26journey. You know, it's a huge milestone
- 1:29to reach 100 episodes of a thing.
- 1:31Most people who start a podcast don't even create 20 episodes
- 1:35before they throw in the towel. So it's a big thing.
- 1:37Super excited about it. Glad that you're here listening
- 1:40to this today, watching this today, wherever you're getting
- 1:42this. And when it comes to creating
- 1:44100 podcast episodes, I just wanted to say I have done that
- 1:48on my own without a team. I wrote the episodes, I shot the
- 1:52episodes, I edited everything, titles, thumbnails,
- 1:55descriptions, the whole thing. One man operation for the better
- 1:59part of this entire thing. And in that sense, it's a huge
- 2:02accomplishment because it's been a lot of work.
- 2:04So I just want to encourage you today, if you want to go after a
- 2:08thing, if you want to go after a dream, just go for it.
- 2:10Just do it. Just start the thing and see
- 2:13where it takes you because you never know.
- 2:14Like I said, this podcast has completely changed my life.
- 2:17And I just want to get into the top 10 things that I've learned
- 2:20about podcasting, what I've learned in my life from
- 2:23podcasting, how this podcast has changed my life, things like
- 2:25that. So let's dive right into those
- 2:2710 things so I don't just ramble forever before we actually get
- 2:30into the episode. And the first thing that I
- 2:33learned about podcasting is that a podcast can impact lives even
- 2:37when it doesn't feel like it. Most of the time, especially
- 2:40when I first got started, I didn't know if I was reaching
- 2:43anybody. I didn't know if anybody was
- 2:45actually listening. Like I saw the basic numbers on
- 2:48the stats on the podcast hosting platform.
- 2:51But podcasting is a little bit weird because there's not as
- 2:54much of A feedback loop as there is on something like social
- 2:57media where there's comments and people are giving their and
- 3:00things like that. You don't really have a lot of,
- 3:02you can't really tell if you're making an impact.
- 3:05But after a while, the number of people who are reaching out to
- 3:08me, thanking me for my podcast, thanking me for the episodes was
- 3:12totally crazy. And that's one thing that I
- 3:14realized is that you could be impacting lives.
- 3:17You could be changing lives, you could be teaching people new
- 3:20things even when it doesn't feel like it, even when it doesn't
- 3:23seem like it. And that's why it's important to
- 3:24keep going, keep the output going, keep making episodes,
- 3:28keep putting them out there because somebody is listening
- 3:31and you could just be helping them in their lives.
- 3:33I mean, something that's totally crazy to me is last year for
- 3:372025 on Spotify, I got most binge show.
- 3:41It said that most people who listen to the podcast were
- 3:44listening for five episodes or more and people were binging the
- 3:47Warrior Kings podcast more than 97%, I think it was than other
- 3:52podcast shows. And like I said, when I first
- 3:54started the podcast, I didn't know if anybody was listening.
- 3:57I didn't know if I was reaching anybody with my message and then
- 4:00it just compounded and stacked overtime until it was this big
- 4:04thing. And I have this big following
- 4:05for the podcast, particularly the audio podcast.
- 4:08There's just a huge following of people on there.
- 4:11So if you're someone who's putting out content or putting
- 4:14out a podcast or something like that and it doesn't seem like
- 4:17you're making an impact, just stick with it.
- 4:19Keep putting out episodes, keep putting out videos, whatever The
- 4:22thing is. And that will compound overtime
- 4:25and you will realize, wow, I actually have been impacting
- 4:27lives. Especially when people start
- 4:29reaching out to you and thanking you for the thing that you're
- 4:32doing. It's like, wow, I'm so glad that
- 4:34I stuck with this. I'm so glad that I spoke truth.
- 4:37I'm so glad that I taught as if somebody was listening, even
- 4:41though I didn't know if anybody was, because I had the
- 4:44opportunity to help so many people in their lives.
- 4:47The second thing that I learned hosting a podcast for 100
- 4:51episodes is that you become a better communicator overtime.
- 4:54This is what I looked like and sounded like when I first
- 4:57started the podcast. This is the first episode of the
- 5:00Warrior Kings podcast. Check this out.
- 5:02Hello and welcome to the Warrior King YouTube channel and
- 5:05podcast. My name is Michael Riggs.
- 5:06I'm a full time author, artist and entrepreneur here to lead
- 5:09you in unlocking masculinity, manliness and the warrior spirit
- 5:12within. Since I'm just launching this
- 5:15podcast and YouTube channel, I just want to give a little bit
- 5:17of an introduction to myself, who I am, what I'm about, what I
- 5:20do. Pretty crazy, right?
- 5:21I mean, the way that I've been talking to you so far on this
- 5:23episode, you can already tell that I've come a long way.
- 5:26And this is a clip from one of my most recent episodes.
- 5:29Let's make comparison if you don't.
- 5:31Believe in yourself, nothing is going to work.
- 5:33Out for you. That's a hard truth.
- 5:35These days, it's increasingly difficult to feel confident.
- 5:38To accept our. Identity and our true authentic
- 5:41selves. Especially with the rise of.
- 5:44Social media and the disease of comparison Many men these days
- 5:47are finding themselves lost, struggling to feel confident,
- 5:51struggling to believe in themselves and trying way too
- 5:55hard. But confidence doesn't come from
- 5:57trying to be something that you're not.
- 5:58It comes from being your true authentic self.
- 6:01If it's your first time here, my name is Michael Riggs.
- 6:03I'm a full time author, entrepreneur, men's personal
- 6:06development and marriage mentor, husband and father of six.
- 6:10And I teach men all over the world how to live fully
- 6:12optimized, leveled up lives. So if that's something you're
- 6:15into, definitely stick around. Subscribe.
- 6:17To this podcast, subscribe to. This YouTube channel wherever
- 6:20you're getting this. Because that's what we do here
- 6:22every week. Talk.
- 6:23About man's stuff and how to be our best selves in our lives,
- 6:27better fathers, leaders, husbands and more.
- 6:29And today I'm going to dive into a few success mindset.
- 6:32Shifts. That have the power to transform
- 6:35your whole life and the way you see yourself and the world stick
- 6:39around. Hello and welcome to the
- 6:41Warrior. Kings Podcast.
- 6:42Now, the reason that you become a better communicator when
- 6:45you're making videos or podcast episodes, things like that is
- 6:48because you're recording yourself and then you're
- 6:51watching it back. Whether you're just watching it
- 6:53back or you're watching it back over and over again in the edit
- 6:56and subconsciously your mind is making adjustments because
- 6:59you're watching yourself. So very rarely during this
- 7:02journey did I watch myself and say, oh, that's so cringe.
- 7:05I need to change this, this and that about myself.
- 7:07Like it wasn't a conscious process, but it was a
- 7:10subconscious process in that I was making small adjustments
- 7:14with every video. And the way that I speak, the
- 7:17way that I present myself, my expressions, my, umm, what do
- 7:20they call it, inflections. I was making these small
- 7:23adjustments without even realizing it until overtime
- 7:27after like between 50 and 100 episodes.
- 7:30I'm just a way better communicator.
- 7:32I can speak to a camera, I can speak to people better.
- 7:35It's just so crazy how that happens.
- 7:37And like I said, you won't even notice it happening, but it is
- 7:40happening. And you might go back 100
- 7:42episodes ago like we did and play a clip and be like, is that
- 7:46really me? I talked like that.
- 7:47I presented myself like that because in that first episode,
- 7:51first of all, I was very nervous to record myself speaking.
- 7:54But other than that, I thought that I was being very animated.
- 7:57I thought that I was talking kind of how I'm talking right
- 8:00now, but I wasn't. I had to progress overtime and
- 8:03build that skill. And that comes with those small
- 8:05adjustments that you make by watching yourself.
- 8:08So if you want to become a better communicator, I highly
- 8:10recommend recording yourself and watching it back over and over
- 8:14and over again. Maybe it's in content, maybe
- 8:16it's in a podcast, maybe it's an audio podcast where it's just
- 8:20your voice. I don't know.
- 8:21But there's something really, really magical about recording
- 8:24yourself and watching it back if you want to be a better
- 8:26communicator. The third thing that I learned
- 8:29creating one podcast episodes is if you want to do anything,
- 8:33start, just get started and then scale as you go.
- 8:37Build the thing as you go. Because there are so many people
- 8:40who wait for everything to be perfect.
- 8:42They wait for the perfect gear, they wait until they feel ready,
- 8:46all of these things. But let me tell you bro, I
- 8:47started the Warrior Kings podcast recording it on my
- 8:50iPhone, not even a new iPhone. It was a iPhone XR and I edited
- 8:55it on a 10 year old iPad, an old iPad Pro 10.5 that I had had
- 9:00forever. The screen was even cracked.
- 9:02Dude, I started the podcast like that.
- 9:05Oh, and I had like a budget mic as well.
- 9:06I did some research and found the best sounding budget
- 9:10microphone that would plug into my iPhone.
- 9:12And I can't stress to you enough the importance of just getting
- 9:16started. Don't wait till the conditions
- 9:17are perfect. Don't wait until you're ready.
- 9:19Start the thing and then scale it overtime.
- 9:22Because now I have a really nice camera, I have really nice
- 9:24microphones. I have a whole editing setup
- 9:27with a computer and everything. Like I built a thing as I went,
- 9:30but I just got started. And if I hadn't, if I had
- 9:32waited, I wouldn't, you know, the Warrior King's podcast
- 9:35wouldn't be as big as it is today.
- 9:37And I have carried that with me in all of my endeavors.
- 9:40My book warrior husband breaks all the rules of publishing a
- 9:44book, self-publishing a book. Even the conventional wisdom
- 9:47with publishing a book is that you need to do a book launch.
- 9:50You need to get people excited about the book and spend months
- 9:53and months and months getting pre-orders and promoting the
- 9:57thing you know. And I've seen many authors and
- 10:00my career as an author do that and then crash and burn and they
- 10:03waste so much time that they could have just put the book out
- 10:06there and then scaled it. And if you're an author, if
- 10:08you're in the publishing world, the writing world, you probably
- 10:12think that that sounds crazy to just put a book out there and
- 10:14then scale it. Well, guess what?
- 10:15That's exactly what I did. I wrote the book, I self
- 10:18published it and then I promoted it and I scaled it overtime.
- 10:21The first month that I put the book out there, I had a good few
- 10:24sales. But guess what?
- 10:25Every single month after that it scaled up and up and up and up
- 10:29until now. It's a really big book in the
- 10:32relationship marriage space. It's I scaled it overtime and
- 10:36that goes back to just get started.
- 10:37Put the thing out there and then figure it out.
- 10:39Don't wait for everything to be perfect.
- 10:41Don't build a book launch for your life and put your life and
- 10:44your future on hold, your success on hold because you're
- 10:47waiting for the thing to be perfect.
- 10:49With this podcast, with publishing the book Warrior
- 10:52Husband, I have broken every rule of the advice that they
- 10:56give you because I just got started and then I scaled the
- 10:59thing and that book Warrior Husband, now thousands of men
- 11:02all over the world have read it and hundreds of men buy it every
- 11:06day. I did that without a book
- 11:07launch. So just get started.
- 11:09Put the thing out there and just getting started applies to
- 11:13anything, not just podcasts, YouTube and publishing books.
- 11:16It applies to everything. Anything that you want to
- 11:19pursue, whatever your dream is, just get started and go for it
- 11:22and figure it out as you go. I can't stress the importance of
- 11:26this enough. The fourth thing that I learned
- 11:28creating 100 episodes is to speak truth.
- 11:32Even when it's uncomfortable. The truth is what matters.
- 11:36In the early days of the podcast, I found myself sort of
- 11:39holding back from sharing my true opinions, Sharing
- 11:43ultimately what my truth is, what my true beliefs are because
- 11:46of, you know, societal norms, things like that.
- 11:48Fear of getting canceled, fear of haters, those sort of things.
- 11:52It's fearful of modern hateful people that the things that I
- 11:56was going to say were going to start like a wildfire or
- 11:59something. I don't know, but I built my
- 12:00confidence overtime and I started speaking those hard
- 12:04truths openly. I started saying exactly what I
- 12:06was thinking, exactly what I was feeling, being more authentic in
- 12:10my truth and what I believed the truth to be.
- 12:12I would step outside of my comfort zone and speak truth
- 12:15even when it made me feel uncomfortable and those times
- 12:18where I thought that I should hold back.
- 12:20Instead of holding back, I intentionally went harder on
- 12:23what I wanted to say. I spoke more truth and I pushed
- 12:26myself to do that until now. I just say whatever needs to be
- 12:30said, whatever people need to hear, whatever God wants me to
- 12:33say to people, I just speak it and I speak it openly.
- 12:36And I think that that is one of the main things that people
- 12:39appreciate about my work, about the podcast to this day, is that
- 12:43I do speak truth. And I'm unafraid to do that
- 12:46because truth is all that matters.
- 12:49Even if it's uncomfortable, even if it offends someone, the truth
- 12:52is what matters. And here's the thing, if they
- 12:54can't handle the truth, then they're not my audience.
- 12:57If they don't believe what I believe or agree with me, then
- 13:00they don't have to be here and that's fine.
- 13:02Or they can get mad, they can leave me a hateful comment,
- 13:04that's fine too. But I will always speak truth.
- 13:07Because here's the thing, I would rather speak hard truths
- 13:10than reach a small number of people and change their lives
- 13:14for the better than appeal to everyone.
- 13:16I would rather appeal to a small number of people and help them
- 13:20in their lives than appeal to everyone.
- 13:22Which brings me to my next point, which is haters are
- 13:25idiots. And I used to care about haters
- 13:28a lot until I realized that they're all unintelligent
- 13:31people. There's really no other way to
- 13:33put that. Like, I was trying to find like
- 13:34a nicer way to say that. There's no nice way to say that
- 13:36they're stupid. When I first got started, when I
- 13:39first started putting episodes and videos out there, hater
- 13:41comments used to really get to me.
- 13:43It used to ruin my whole day, dude.
- 13:45But now, now that I've learned not to care what people think,
- 13:48I've built my confidence. I've been doing this so long.
- 13:51Like the hater comments, when I do get them, it's just
- 13:54entertainment for me. I kind of just laugh at it.
- 13:56Some of them I laugh a lot. And the hater comments have
- 14:00gotten fewer and fewer overtime. Like when I first started this
- 14:03thing, I used to get them all the time.
- 14:05People saying really mean hateful stuff to me, that's
- 14:07gotten way less overtime. I get like maybe one every
- 14:10couple of months these days. But my point being, it used to
- 14:13really, really bother me. And The thing is, if you're
- 14:16going to put yourself out there in anything, you can't care what
- 14:19people think about you and you can't care what people say about
- 14:22you. You know, people are going to be
- 14:23mean. It's just how it is.
- 14:25Haters are going to be haters and they're always going to be
- 14:27around. It just comes with it.
- 14:29And like I said, haters are idiots.
- 14:31Like there's nobody successful, there's nobody doing really,
- 14:34really well in their lives that's hating on people that's
- 14:37on YouTube leaving mean comments to people.
- 14:39Like successful people don't have any time or any desire to
- 14:43be hating on anyone. Like the people who are leaving
- 14:46hateful comments and being mean are absolute losers.
- 14:49And once you realize that you don't have to care because you
- 14:52say, oh, I get it, he has an IQ issue.
- 14:55He's doing nothing with his life except for leaving people mean
- 14:58comments on YouTube. And if he's, he's that angry and
- 15:00bitter in his life, and if he can just make some, try to make
- 15:04somebody feel bad about themselves, then he's such a sad
- 15:06person, right? And I don't have to care about
- 15:09that. Isn't that liberating?
- 15:10Isn't that freeing? Now I can just say and do
- 15:13whatever I want. I can just put my stuff out
- 15:15there without any fear or reservation of the thoughts and
- 15:18opinions and judgments of other people.
- 15:20Because it doesn't even matter. And there will be haters.
- 15:23It just comes with it. And not everybody is going to
- 15:26agree with everything you say. And that's OK.
- 15:28We're all different. As soon as you realize that as
- 15:31well, it's like not everybody is going to agree with my opinion
- 15:34and my viewpoints on life and that's OK.
- 15:37Not everybody has to agree with me.
- 15:39If you disagree with anything I say, let me know.
- 15:41I'm going to keep thinking what I think and feeling, how I feel.
- 15:44And it's totally OK that you feel that way, that you feel
- 15:47differently than me. And that's just a mind blowing
- 15:49concept. I feel like just realizing that
- 15:51you don't have to care what people think about you.
- 15:53You don't have to care about being cringe either.
- 15:55Like except the cringe. Put yourself out there.
- 15:59Don't care what other people think and if people think
- 16:01differently than you, that's OK. You don't have to agree with
- 16:04everybody. That's life, that's freedom.
- 16:06You know what I'm saying? And like I said, most haters,
- 16:09people who are leaving hateful comments to people, they have an
- 16:11IQ issue and you can tell like they can't spell, they can't
- 16:16form a sentence. The things that they're saying
- 16:18don't make any sense. I think that the ones that get
- 16:20you the most are the ones that are like something personal,
- 16:23maybe something that you're already self-conscious about.
- 16:25Those suck sometimes, but once again, you don't have to care.
- 16:29Ultimately, in the end, don't let it ruin your whole day or
- 16:31hold you back from doing the thing.
- 16:33It's a hard truth, but the world is full of stupid people and if
- 16:36you're putting yourself on the Internet, that is where a lot of
- 16:39them dwell. And not caring what other people
- 16:41think is a massive step towards your success.
- 16:44Trust me. The sixth thing that I learned
- 16:46creating 100 podcast episodes is how cool it is to solve other
- 16:52people's problems and how fulfilling it is to do that.
- 16:55I started out as an artist and a fiction writer.
- 16:58I don't know if you guys know that about me.
- 17:00I've mentioned it a few times, but I wrote they're still
- 17:05available to purchase if that's something that you're interested
- 17:08in. If you're like, what were
- 17:09Michael Riggs's sci-fi books like, you know what I mean?
- 17:11They're still out there. You can find them.
- 17:13But I used to write fiction and sci-fi and I was an artist and
- 17:16filmmaker. And in doing that, I was kind
- 17:19of, I didn't know it at the time, but I was kind of seeking
- 17:22validation for myself, my own creativity, my own genius.
- 17:26You know, I, I wanted to be recognized for the things I was
- 17:30creating. And it wasn't until I started
- 17:32solving problems for other people that I found true success
- 17:36and true fulfillment. When I started teaching men how
- 17:39to be better in their lives based on the things that I had
- 17:41been through and the things that I had overcome and the things
- 17:44that I found on my own personal transformation and level up
- 17:48journey. Once I started teaching that to
- 17:50other men, that's when I found true success and true
- 17:52fulfillment because it's not about me anymore.
- 17:54It's about you, it's about helping you.
- 17:56It's about serving others. It's not about serving my self.
- 18:00I became obsessed with helping other people in their lives and
- 18:03solving their problems, bettering men's lives, bettering
- 18:06their marriages, teaching them all the things that I had to
- 18:09learn on my own the hard way. And I just feel so fulfilled and
- 18:12so grateful that I'm able to help thousands of men all over
- 18:16the world now by teaching them these things.
- 18:19On Spotify for 2025, it said that we reached 110 countries.
- 18:23Mind blowing, dude. Like I reached men.
- 18:26I reached people in 110 countries, thousands of men all
- 18:30over the world. It's a little bit difficult for
- 18:33me to wrap my mind around that, but that is what is possible
- 18:36when you make the switch from trying to find validation,
- 18:40trying to find recognition for yourself, and put the focus on
- 18:44solving other people's problems and serving others.
- 18:47This is the full realization of my calling and my purpose, and I
- 18:52wouldn't have it any other way. So become obsessed with serving
- 18:55others and solving people's problems and you will find true
- 18:59success in your life. Trust me.
- 19:01The seventh thing that I learned creating 100 podcast episodes is
- 19:05that I don't like doing guest episodes.
- 19:07I'm sorry to say, kind of crazy because I actually love all the
- 19:11guys who are guests on my show. Wonderful people, loved talking
- 19:15to them, loved those episodes. I even had one of my heroes on
- 19:19the show, Daniel Vitalis, which was totally crazy.
- 19:22I was so nervous doing that episode.
- 19:24I was physically shaking because I have followed him online and
- 19:27watched his content for around 20 years.
- 19:31Absolutely mind blowing that he would even come onto my show and
- 19:34speak to me and it was just such a phenomenal episode.
- 19:37Like he carried the whole thing. I think he could gather that.
- 19:41I was very nervous and didn't really have a whole lot to say
- 19:44but I asked him the questions that I wanted to ask him and he
- 19:46carried the show bro. Like he he absolutely killed it.
- 19:50It was awesome. But with that being said, I
- 19:52don't like doing guest episodes and I think that that's because
- 19:55I'm an awkward communicator. I haven't really looked too much
- 19:58into that, but I do have like speaking face to face with
- 20:02people. I don't do very well with.
- 20:04It could be like a neurodivergent thing.
- 20:06I I'm not really positive. I just like I don't do well
- 20:09speaking to people. I'm able to talk like this on
- 20:12here because I'm talking to you with like these barriers in
- 20:15between like camera, computer, screen, edit through the thing,
- 20:19YouTube like very unlikely that I would be able to.
- 20:22Speak to you like this if you were sitting right in front of
- 20:25me. I want to build that skill.
- 20:26I want to get better at that, which is why I want to do more
- 20:29podcast episodes with guests, put myself outside of my comfort
- 20:33zone. And I do believe just like how I
- 20:35became a better communicator overtime doing solo episodes, I
- 20:40could build that skill as well. Like I could get better and
- 20:42better at talking to people the more that I do that.
- 20:45But truth being right now, I do not like doing guest episodes.
- 20:48It makes me nervous, it makes me uncomfortable.
- 20:51I overthink it for days after the fact.
- 20:53I feel stupid. This is just me being completely
- 20:56honest with you. Like I have things that I
- 20:58struggle with too. I've never once in this entire
- 21:00journey have I said, hey, I'm a perfect person and this is how
- 21:03you should do everything. I'm on my own journey, bro, and
- 21:06talking to people is not my favorite thing to do ever.
- 21:08So just don't like doing it. Don't like doing guest episodes.
- 21:11I need to do that more. I need to get better at that.
- 21:14But that's one thing that I learned about myself.
- 21:16Know what I'm saying? And once again, everybody who
- 21:19has been a guest on the Warrior Kings podcast absolutely love
- 21:22you. If it's not a you thing, it's a
- 21:24me thing. It's not you, it's me #8 on this
- 21:26list is that podcasting will make you want to be a better
- 21:29person in your life. It's kind of like an
- 21:31accountability thing. Like if I'm here teaching other
- 21:34men how to be fully optimized in their lives and in their
- 21:37marriages, then I feel the drive to be fully optimized in my life
- 21:42and in my marriage. It makes me want to be a better
- 21:44person. I feel held accountable to be
- 21:47the best version of myself that I possibly can be because kind
- 21:51of how dare I speak and preach the things if I'm not living
- 21:55them? You understand what I'm saying?
- 21:56So I have been pushed on this journey harder than ever before
- 21:59to improve myself, to become optimized in my own life, mind,
- 22:03body and spirit. You know what I'm saying?
- 22:05I feel a strong drive to become the example of the man that the
- 22:09men who listen to me want to be, aspire to be like.
- 22:13And I still have a long way to go.
- 22:14This journey has made me want to be better and better and better
- 22:17in my life, especially since I'm teaching other men how to be
- 22:21better in their lives. Then I need to live as the
- 22:23example of that. And there's not really much more
- 22:26to say about that, but it's been super awesome to see that and
- 22:29recognize that is I need to be the best version of myself that
- 22:33I possibly can be and be pursuing that all the time and
- 22:36getting better and better and better in my life.
- 22:38If I'm going to be teaching these things to other people, I
- 22:41need to be the example, and that's a huge one.
- 22:43If you pursue anything like this, trust me, it will make you
- 22:47want to be a better person in every aspect of your life.
- 22:50So in that regard, I couldn't recommend enough #9 is that what
- 22:55seems simple to me might have the power to change someone's
- 22:59whole life. And what I mean by that is as we
- 23:01learn and as we grow in anything, it becomes normal for
- 23:05us. What was once mind blowing might
- 23:07seem really simple now. And you might assume, of course
- 23:11everybody knows that it's just this super simple thing.
- 23:13But the truth is there was a time when I didn't know that
- 23:16thing before I learned it. So you might not feel compelled
- 23:20to teach something because it seems so simple.
- 23:23You've known it forever now. It's just the simple thing,
- 23:25right? Well, here's the thing.
- 23:26The concepts that men thank me the most for that they thank me
- 23:30the most for teaching are to me the simplest concepts.
- 23:34And if I had just said, oh, everybody knows that it's just
- 23:37the simple thing and I didn't teach that thing, that I
- 23:39wouldn't be impacting that life because just because it's simple
- 23:43to me doesn't mean that everybody knows it.
- 23:45It could be a mind blowing revelation for someone.
- 23:48So for example, if you ask the question, how do I level up my
- 23:51communication with my wife, our communication sucks.
- 23:54And I'm like, have you ever tried listening to her before?
- 23:57Like actually listening to everything that she's saying
- 23:59when she's speaking? That's a very simple concept to
- 24:01me because I'm like, duh, listen to her when she's speaking.
- 24:04Like, isn't that so obvious and simple now that I know that?
- 24:07But there was a time when I didn't realize how important
- 24:11that was and I was screwing that up in my relationships, right?
- 24:14So what seems like a very simple concept might blow somebody's
- 24:18mind and level up their entire marriage or their whole life.
- 24:21You know what I'm saying? It's like, dude, I've been
- 24:22actually listening to everything that she's saying.
- 24:24I've been really attentive in doing that.
- 24:26I've been looking her in the eyes when she's speaking.
- 24:28I've been acknowledging the things that she's saying in our
- 24:31communications better than ever before.
- 24:33And thank you so much for teaching that.
- 24:35I'm like, so it's not this simple thing.
- 24:37It could be changing someone's whole life, even though it seems
- 24:39simple to me. So if you're someone who's going
- 24:42to be teaching something or speaking on something, or you're
- 24:45going to do a podcast or YouTube channel or anything like that,
- 24:48just don't forget the fundamentals.
- 24:50Don't think that it's too simple to share.
- 24:52Don't be constantly seeking these mind blowing revelations,
- 24:56sometimes those basic things and teaching them over and over
- 24:59again to reach more people. That's hugely impactful and can
- 25:02change lives. Just because it seems simple to
- 25:05you doesn't mean that it's simple.
- 25:06If you're someone who works on cars, something that seems very
- 25:10simple to you when you're fixing a car, not everybody knows how
- 25:14to do that. Like there's people Googling
- 25:16that thing all the time and looking up how to do it in
- 25:18YouTube videos and stuff like that.
- 25:20It might seem very obvious and simple to you, very elementary
- 25:23because you're a mechanic, but trust me, there are thousands
- 25:26upon thousands of people who don't know how to do that very
- 25:29simple thing and it could just change their whole life knowing
- 25:32how to do it. That's basically the point that
- 25:34I wanted to make and a huge thing that I've learned
- 25:36throughout this process because in those early episodes after,
- 25:40you know, like 4050 episodes, I started feeling like I have
- 25:43nothing else to talk about. I need to like learn more, you
- 25:47know, more complex topics in this night.
- 25:49And then I realized, no, like, it doesn't have to be that
- 25:51complicated. I could still be teaching these
- 25:54things that seem very simple to me and I can still impact lives
- 25:58because those things aren't simple and they really are
- 26:00impacting and changing lives. So just don't forget the
- 26:02fundamentals. Just because it's simple to you
- 26:05doesn't mean that it's simple. And #10 on this list, the final
- 26:09thing is that I would not be who I am today if I hadn't done 100
- 26:13episodes of this podcast. This journey has completely
- 26:17changed my life. Everything about my life is
- 26:19different. My philosophies on life are
- 26:22different. My communication is different,
- 26:24the way that I present myself. I'm actually making money doing
- 26:27the thing now, which is really cool.
- 26:28That's life changing for anybody, right?
- 26:31Just completely changed my life. Like I said before, just being
- 26:34in service to others, teaching people how to be better in their
- 26:37lives, teaching them things that I learned from when I was a mess
- 26:41and I had to transform my own life, when I had to learn
- 26:44everything the hard way. Teaching that to other people,
- 26:46it's just been so fulfilling. I'm so grateful to have this
- 26:49calling, to have this purpose, to have this opportunity, even
- 26:53to even be doing this. This has completely changed my
- 26:56life. So if you have a dream, if you
- 26:58have a calling and a purpose, if you have a drive to do something
- 27:01that you've been putting off, I highly, highly encourage you go
- 27:05for it. Do the thing.
- 27:06If you feel called to do something, dude, you never know
- 27:09what's going to happen. You never know where you could
- 27:11be in a year or two from now. Your whole life could be
- 27:14completely different if you just took the first step and got
- 27:17started on the thing. Before you were ready, before
- 27:20everything was perfect, before you had the perfect gear.
- 27:22Whatever The thing is, before the kids are grown, you know,
- 27:25whatever is holding you back, don't let it hold you back any
- 27:28longer. Because I am so happy, so
- 27:31grateful that I just went for it, that I just put myself out
- 27:34there, that I just got started and that I didn't stop, that I
- 27:37stayed consistent, I stayed persistent, and I really went
- 27:40for the thing. 100 episodes, guys, that's crazy.
- 27:43Like I can't even believe it's been 100 episodes already.
- 27:47It doesn't even feel like it. So that's another thing is
- 27:50sometimes things are a lot of work.
- 27:51It's really hard sometimes it's stressful, sometimes things
- 27:55aren't working, it's not working out.
- 27:56And if you just push through that, you'll reach a point when
- 27:59you look back and say, Dang, already we made it already, you
- 28:02know, it feels like forever. And then it feels like it went
- 28:05by in the blink of an eye. One minute you feel really small
- 28:08and you don't know if it's working.
- 28:10And the next minute you say, Oh my gosh, dude, I, I helped
- 28:13thousands of men in their lives and they're thanking me for it
- 28:16in emails and comments every day.
- 28:18So just really, really thankful and grateful to have this
- 28:21opportunity. Really just so thankful and
- 28:24grateful to be talking to you, to have you here, listening to
- 28:27you, to be able to inspire you and help you in your life.
- 28:30It's been a crazy journey and it's just, I can't wait to see
- 28:34where we go next. I can't wait to see what levels
- 28:37we reach with this thing. How many thousands of men are we
- 28:40going to reach with these powerful messages, with these
- 28:43episodes, with this ranting and raving that I do at a camera all
- 28:47the time. Where is this going to take us?
- 28:49You know, I'm just, I'm looking forward so much to seeing and
- 28:52what happens next and I can't thank you guys enough because we
- 28:56did this together. This is our thing especially, I
- 28:59mean, if you've been a long time listener of this show, we built
- 29:02this together because I wouldn't be here without you.
- 29:06Every time you listen, every time you watch, every time you
- 29:09click the like button, leave a comment, every time you engage,
- 29:13that's building the thing alongside me.
- 29:15So thank you. Thank you so much on these past
- 29:19100 episodes of the Warrior Kings Podcast.
- 29:22And I'm telling you, man, it is only up from here.
- 29:25Lots, lots, lots of super exciting, super awesome stuff on
- 29:29the way that I cannot wait to get out to you.
- 29:31So again, can't thank you enough.
- 29:34Thank you everyone for being here.
- 29:36Thank you for all of your support.
- 29:37Thank you for all of your words of encouragement, and thank you,
- 29:40God, that I have been able to help all of you in your lives.
- 29:44Thank you, God, for this calling and this purpose.
- 29:46Thank you for this podcast, thank you for this opportunity.
- 29:49Thank you God. But yeah, man, I hope you got
- 29:52something out of this episode. I hope this inspired you in some
- 29:55way in your life. Again, excited to see what
- 29:58happens next. Lots of new episodes on the way.

- 30:25And if we align, I will reach out to that person to get them
- 30:28on the Warrior Kings podcast. If there's somebody that you
- 30:31think I would vibe with, definitely let me know that as
- 30:33well. And here's the celebrating 100
- 30:35episodes of this podcast. Totally crazy, can't believe it.

- 30:55I'll catch you on the next one. Thanks guys.
- 30:58Bye.
