- 0:03It's six Eastern, three o'clock Pacific from coast to coast and around the world.
- 0:09The Democratic brand right now has about the appeal with the American voter as the crackle barrel rebrand has from America Out Loud Talk Radio.
- 0:18It's time for Truth Be Told with Booker Scott.
- 0:21Welcome into this Monday night here on The Truth Be Told.
- 0:24I am Booker Scott.
- 0:25Thank you for joining us tonight.
- 0:27As always on Mondays, except for last week, we have Matt Palumbo, and I call it Mondays with Matt.
- 0:33Matt is a newsmax contributor.
- 0:35You can see him Monday nights with Carl Higby at 6 30.
- 0:39And Matt, welcome back to the program.
- 0:41You were not here last week, and I want to tell everybody why you were not here.
- 0:45The reason Matt was not here last week, and you may remember us talking about this along the way that he was expecting a baby and he had one.
- 0:54So Matt, congratulations.
- 0:56I know as a father myself three times and also a grandfather.
- 1:00Now, there really is no better feeling in the world than to welcome a child in to this world and even the world that we have now.
- 1:08It's still an incredible, incredible feat.
- 1:12And uh I I know you still have to be walking on the clouds right now.
- 1:16Yeah, you're correct.
- 1:18Uh uh no, it was um well, the best thing has happened to me and my wife.
- 1:22I can say that uh quite confidently.
- 1:25Um the only consequence is I've uh missed quite a bit from the news cycle, so you might have to bear with me a little bit.
- 1:31But uh, we'll get through this hour.
- 1:33For this reason, yeah, we're gonna get through this hour.
- 1:35We'll get you caught up on everything that's happened.
- 1:37We'll get your comments on it.
- 1:38But again, congratulations on having a beautiful baby girl, seven pounds twenty inches.
- 1:44Her name is Eliana, so congratulations for that beautiful baby girl.
- 1:49And also, by the way, everyone, um it's Matt's birthday coming up this week.
- 1:54His birthday is November 28th.
- 1:56You have Thanksgiving.
- 1:57So, all in all, you've got a busy week.
- 1:59Yeah, brand new baby, Thanksgiving, and your birthday.
- 2:02But let's get on with it.
- 2:03Let's get on with this hour, and let's start in Minnesota, where the Somalians live.
- 2:08And when you look at things online, Matt, it seems like uh they've completely taken over the state of Minnesota and and especially Minneapolis.
- 2:17And in reality, that's not just the case.
- 2:19But I want to get into the story where it appears that uh the Somalians have funneled about 400 million dollars over the years through Medicaid, because they have said it's for autism for children, and they funneled this money to a terrorist organization called Al Shabaab.
- 2:38And just for an instance, uh, just for an example, in 2018, there was three million dollars used for autistic children here in this organization.
- 2:48In 2023, that number goes to 400 million dollars.
- 2:52And now it has been discovered, and uh everybody knows about it, that this has been funneled to terrorist organizations through Medicaid, and Matt, this is it bothers me, and it should bother everybody.
- 3:04Again, another example of the waste, uh, the the fraud, the abuse within our government, and specifically, this isn't the first time this has happened in Minnesota under Tim Walls, either, is it?
- 3:15Um, no, I mean, in fact, in the Somali community, the rates of autism are off the charts, and it's of course not because it's real, it's because they've found a way to scam the system.
- 3:24Uh, for anyone that's unaware, too, Al Shabaab is the Al-Qaeda affiliate in Somalia.
- 3:29So it is an affiliate of a group that has committed the worst terrorist attack in U.S.
- 3:34history on our soil of an offshoot of them is receiving our tax dollars.
- 3:38So we're funding.
- 3:39That's not a great situation.
- 3:40And the the most incredible spin I saw was from this pro-open borders economist.
- 3:47And he said, and he wasn't trolling.
- 3:49He said, Well, you know, if Somalis can figure out how to commit this kind of sophisticated fraud, I mean, just think of all the other things they could be capable of that would benefit our country.
- 3:59And he was completely serious.
- 4:01So I'm thinking, well, if that's true, why why does Somalia look the way it does?
- 4:04And to which, of course, there's no answer.
- 4:06Right.
- 4:06Yeah, and Somalia is a mess, and it has been for a long time.
- 4:10And when you look in Africa and you see the things about Nigeria killing Christians, and it's not just Nigeria either.
- 4:17I had a nephew that was there for two years in Senegal, which is in West Africa.
- 4:23It's the same type of thing there.
- 4:24As a family, we couldn't share pictures or share pictures of where he was because they were very strict on that because he could lose his life, and that was in West Africa.
- 4:34So it's not really a place that if you're a Christian, you should probably plan a vacation to go to, the continent of Africa.
- 4:41Let's stay here in Minneapolis and Minnesota, though, because uh on the heels of that, Donald Trump says, Okay, I'm gonna take away your protective status.
- 4:50Do you know exactly what that means for the people of Somalia?
- 4:54Well, I I don't know in this particular case.
- 4:57I mean, I mean, I know Biden, one of the ways he would artificially increase immigration to the country, in addition to opening up the border, was granting temporary protected status to all these groups, and the you know, the goal in the long run was well, it gives them this temporary status.
- 5:14We let them linger here for decades, and then we can't send them back because it's cruel.
- 5:18So it was just another way to backdoor illegal immigration.
- 5:21And uh TPS is what it is, a temporary protective uh status, as Matt said.
- 5:27There it goes through 2026 for Somalians, and uh Joe Biden did do it.
- 5:32Donald Trump is going to take it away, and I think it's blown up on social media a whole lot bigger than it is.
- 5:38We're gonna go to a report now of a local television station in Minneapolis.
- 5:43You're gonna hear some real numbers here of the number of Somalians there and the number of people that have this protective uh status.
- 5:52It's not a big deal like you may think it is, but let's listen to this story here on Somalians in Minneapolis.
- 5:59Tonight, the president posted on Truth Social, quote, I am as president of the United States, hereby terminating effective immediately, the temporary protected status for Somalis in Minnesota.
- 6:12Somali gangs are terrorizing the people of that great state, and billions of dollars are missing.
- 6:19Send them back to where they came from.
- 6:22End quote.
- 6:23Now we're working to learn the legality of the president's plan and the potential impact.
- 6:28We know Minnesota has the largest Somali population in the United States with the last estimate by Minnesota Compass that more than 79,000 people.
- 6:36Callan Gray is working on this in the newsroom, and Callum reaction is coming in fast tonight.
- 6:40That's right.
- 6:41Just in the last hour, Governor Walls responding, saying, quote, it is not surprising the president has chosen to broadly target an entire community.
- 6:50This is what he does to change the subject, end quote.
- 6:53Congress member Ilhan Omar, also pushing back, posted on X, quote, I am a citizen, and so are majority of Somalis in America.
- 7:00Good luck celebrating a policy change that really doesn't have much impact on the Somalis you love to hate.
- 7:06We are here to stay.
- 7:07According to National Immigration Forum, as of October, there were 705 people from Somalia in the U.S.
- 7:14with TPS.
- 7:15And we're working to get the total count here in Minnesota.
- 7:18Temporary protected status is meant for those whose home countries are experiencing civil unrest, violence or natural disasters.
- 7:25Somali immigrants have been eligible since 1991.
- 7:28The Department of Homeland Security says this was most recently extended through March of next year.
- 7:33Homeland Security has the discretion to designate a country for TPS for periods of six to eighteen months and can extend it if the country continues to meet the conditions for designation.
- 7:45There is some background on what a TPS is, but listen to those numbers because that's what I'm talking about.
- 7:51I don't think this is as big a deal as a lot of people are making it.
- 7:55There's 79,000 Somalians in Minneapolis or Minnesota, the whole state of millions.
- 8:01So it's a drop in the bucket for the population there.
- 8:04And then if you heard the number of people under protective status, it's only 709.
- 8:09And in Minnesota, it's even less than that.
- 8:12So maybe half of them are in Minnesota, so it's 350.
- 8:15So it isn't as big a deal as so many people are making it on social media.
- 8:20It's not as if there are going to be suddenly millions of Somalians being uh deported out of the country.
- 8:26I just wanted to point that out.
- 8:27Let's stay with some corruption here in government because uh Sheila Sherfilis Mercormick, the uh representative in South Florida.
- 8:35I did a segment on it Friday night, I guess, and talking about the five million dollars in total, it was five point eight million dollars that was paid to her Trinity Healthcare during COVID that she did not pay back.
- 8:47She has now been indicted.
- 8:48She is a sitting member of the House of Representatives.
- 8:51And the the point I was trying to make with it is how the hypocrisy is going to rear its head here with the House of Representatives when they expelled George Santos, and they are not going to do it with her.
- 9:03I have no doubt that they're not going to expel her.
- 9:06And it that it's not right.
- 9:08It's not fair.
- 9:09If they did it to George Santos, and you know how I feel about him, why aren't they doing it with her?
- 9:14It should be a level playing field.
- 9:16Fair is fair, and this isn't going to be fair to George Santos or anyone else that may be expelled in the future.
- 9:22If you're playing f favoritism on one side or the other, yeah, with George Sandos too.
- 9:27I mean, it they even did it prematurely.
- 9:30And that, you know, we knew he was gonna be found guilty in the end, unless there was some, you know, crazy technicality or something.
- 9:37But still, I think you have to be found guilty before you're removed.
- 9:40But the president there was at least maybe we thought we were setting precedent that an indictment alone meant you would have to leave Congress.
- 9:48It's not gonna be uh playing out here.
- 9:50And you know, at least George Sandos did things for the country.
- 9:54Like he fought in World War II, the Civil War, the revolution.
- 9:59According to him.
- 10:00At least uh we we shot ourselves in the hood, too, and that he was a very, very reliable vote for us.
- 10:07He pretty much went along with Trump 100% of the time.
- 10:10And even how slim our margin is like listen, it's unfortunate that our politics are at the stage where I'm saying we need to retain a criminal for the vote, but given how the left plays, like it's just really should have been the only option, and we didn't do that.
- 10:25Yeah.
- 10:25Are you keeping up with uh James Comey and Letitia James as that has been bouncing in court?
- 10:31I have talked about it over the last couple of weeks.
- 10:33I don't remember if we talked about it the last time you were here, but I kind of felt like the Comey indictment and conviction, it was on thin ice that there were some problems that the Department of Justice had done.
- 10:44Pam Bondi backdating, the uh appointment of Lindsay Halligan, things like that.
- 10:50And now we hear that uh, you know, it's possible the grand jury did not see the final indictment.
- 10:57That was in the news last week, and then it came out that the grand jury had indeed seen it.
- 11:02So that case is going to continue on with James Comey, and I don't know, we'll just have to wait and see how that goes.
- 11:08Letitia James is another story.
- 11:10I think that her case is a slam dunk case, and we have a lot of these.
- 11:13We had Eric Swalwell come out this week.
- 11:15He's been referred by Bill Poulte and Ed Martin, and that's the story that I want to get into about Bill Poulte and Ed Martin.
- 11:22But you've had uh Swalwell, you've had Adam Schiff, you've had Lisa Cook, you've had Letitia James, all of these Democrat politicians that have been referred to the Department of Justice for uh crimes of bank fraud and uh mortgage fraud, both of those things because they declare that they have a primary residence in one state when they're representing another.
- 11:44You can't do both, it's one or the other.
- 11:47There are some savings of down payment, interest rates, and uh insurance savings and things like that when you have a primary residence compared to a second home.
- 11:55So that's what they've done.
- 11:56It seems like it's something that they all do, not that that's right.
- 12:00So that's what they're trying to prosecute.
- 12:02Now, the story comes out last week that Christine Bish, who is running for Congress in California.
- 12:09This happened to make it on Gateway Pundit.
- 12:11It was also on the Steve Bannon show that she was going to what she thought was a deposition, and she ended up being questioned and brought in to uh the possibly this investigation that she is saying that there is a grand jury in Maryland that is actually investigating the Department of Justice, specifically Bill Um Poulte and Ed Martin.
- 12:32That is what the mainstream media is now uh reporting.
- 12:35If you Google it right now, if you Google um Ed Martin, Bill Poulte, and the Department of Justice, grand jury, you will see stories from ABC, MBC, all of these places that are saying this is what they're investigating, the grand jury in Maryland.
- 12:51And Ed Martin and some other people put out a differing opinion over the weekend.
- 12:56Have you seen anything on this at all?
- 12:58Are you are you saying the DOJ is investigating the DOJ for investigating the city of James?
- 13:04Yes, correct.
- 13:05Yeah.
- 13:06All right.
- 13:08That is what the mainstream media is saying.
- 13:10That's what Christine Bisch is saying based upon the her questioning.
- 13:14Now I want to go to Carol Lennoig.
- 13:17She posted this, I guess this was on Saturday.
- 13:19She says, Big news.
- 13:21Federal grand jury in Maryland is now investigating whether Trump allies Bill Poultey and Ed Martin improperly assigned unauthorized people to help investigate mortgage fraud of Trump critics, according to her sources.
- 13:36So that is where some of this is coming from.
- 13:38And again, you can look it up on mainstream media.
- 13:41You will see that that is what they are reporting now.
- 13:45But that is not really, I think what's happening, because uh a guy by the name of Chad Mysell.
- 13:52If you don't know who he is, he was in the Department of Justice in Trump's first administration.
- 13:57He lives in Florida.
- 13:58Now he quote posted her on social media, and he said this free advice.
- 14:03Do not listen to folks who have no clue how DOJ works.
- 14:08By confirming where the evidence of Schiff's illegal conduct originated, DOJ isn't investigating their own.
- 14:17DOJ is getting ready to indict Adam Schiff.
- 14:21Ed Martin and Bill Poulte are fine.
- 14:25Schiff needs to lawyer up.
- 14:27Now, this is according to someone who is there or was there in the Department of Justice.
- 14:32The interesting part is that Ed Martin quote posted Chad Mysell.
- 14:37And this is what he says.
- 14:38He says, It is always difficult to comment on an ongoing investigation, but Chad Myzel knows of what he speaks.
- 14:48So it to me, what people need to understand in all of this on the mainstream media and what they are saying about Ed Martin and Bill Poulte having a grand jury investigation on them.
- 14:58That's probably not true.
- 14:59And what is actually happening is the Department of Justice is making sure they have dotted their I's and crossed their Ts.
- 15:06These people that Ed Martin has used as a third party, not uh a part of the Department of Justice to do some of this investigation.
- 15:14They're making sure that they are buttoned up so that when they indict Adam Schiff, they are not going to have grounds like Jim Comey's attorneys have claimed that they can just throw this out.
- 15:23So I want people to understand that.
- 15:25Does that make any sense to you?
- 15:26It's not real easy to explain on radio without the video props, but I hope that makes some sense there, Matt.
- 15:32Does it?
- 15:33Well, it makes more sense than the alternatives because if they were investigating themselves and Pam Bonney could just shut down that investigation into the investigation.
- 15:40So it seems like it would be kind of a waste of time if there was some swampy element that remained.
- 15:45And I don't know, it seemed like they would kind of just be revealing themselves to get fired at that point.
- 15:49So no, the other explanation um makes more sense.
- 15:52I feel like at some point we're gonna have a politician say um he who has not committed mortgage fraud, throw the first stone, but that seems to be where we're at.
- 16:00I think you and I are the only two people in politics who have it at this point.
- 16:04Uh well, I I don't know.
- 16:05I think most people don't probably do that in the real world.
- 16:09Maybe only politicians do it when they go to Washington, D.C.
- 16:12But we have more of this conversation coming up.
- 16:14Matt Palumbo is back with us tonight.
- 16:16He has a brand new book.

- 20:14I think what you're 32?
- 20:16Is that what birthday you have coming up?
- 20:18Unfortunately, yeah.
- 20:19What do you mean, unfortunately?
- 20:21There's a go.
- 20:22You want to tell uh let me tell you what I've got coming up in just a couple of months.
- 20:26I've got the big six zero sixty.
- 20:29I never thought I would get here, but here I am, and I really don't know how I feel about it.
- 20:33But anyway, happy birthday to you and happy Thanksgiving to everybody listening.
- 20:37If you're traveling this week, I hope that you have safe travels wherever you are going and and you enjoy your family.
- 20:43That's what it's really about.
- 20:44And if you don't have family, you have family here at America Outloud.news.
- 20:48We'll have programming all weekend long and um all day Thursday and Friday.
- 20:52No special programming.
- 20:53We have real politics, real medical health issues that we discuss every day of the year right here on Thanksgiving Day.
- 21:01So if you don't have a place to go, you do have a place to go, and we would love to have you.
- 21:05Let's get into uh Chicago.
- 21:07There was a lot of violence over the weekend.
- 21:09Did you see that violence that took place over the weekend in Chicago?
- 21:13Um I mean, to me, it's just like reading of the sunrose.
- 21:18It's uh you could be referring to really anything.
- 21:21Well, that they had a big uproar, hundreds of kids out uh beyond curfew.
- 21:26And there was more shooting, and to your point, when it comes to Chicago, it happens every weekend.
- 21:32It's almost something that we have become so used to.
- 21:35Uh you know, 15, 20 people are shot, there are two or three, five, ten kids that are killed every weekend in Chicago.
- 21:42It's a shame, but more of that happened.
- 21:44And and specifically now, I want to get into this Lawrence Reed case.
- 21:48Do you remember the guy that set the girl on fire in Chicago?
- 21:52Okay, well, this guy evidently had been arrested 72 times previously.
- 21:58And he's free.
- 22:00He's walking around, he goes and gets gasoline, and he pours it on this lady, he chases her down and catches her on fire.
- 22:06That is what happened.
- 22:07The lady did not die, by the way.
- 22:09She still is a living and she's trying to recover.
- 22:12But the bigger question is why are these judges allowing people to roam free among us, the people that are trying to be law-abiding citizens?
- 22:22Why are they continuing to do this type of thing?
- 22:24Here's a guy that's been arrested so many times.
- 22:26He should have never been on the street, he should have been in prison, or he should have been in a mental institution, one or the other, but he shouldn't be among us, and he is.
- 22:34Why does that continue to happen?
- 22:36Uh well, we have a lot of activist judges that are psychopaths who view criminals as the real victims in any situation.
- 22:42They view us as kind of being born as blank slates and that we were all the same when we're born.
- 22:48So if you drift to becoming a criminal, somehow a society must have done something to you to make you that way.
- 22:54Um, these are people that think that money can solve crime, that giving people money would solve crime, and there's no evidence for that whatsoever.
- 23:03I mean, I think multimillionaire rappers commit murders probably at a hundred times the rate of the average person.
- 23:09So I don't know if money is the problem there.
- 23:12Um they are delusional on what it is that causes crime.
- 23:17And it is people who have very, very low impulse control who to some extent almost lack the ability to see cause and effect or to see into the future that their actions have consequences.
- 23:29And you know, this guy did 70 plus crimes.
- 23:32If we did a 20 strikes policy in this country where after your 20th arrest, uh you go to prison forever, we get rid of more than half of all crimes of this country overnight.
- 23:43And that's 20 strikes.
- 23:44We used to up until the 90s have three strike policies in a lot of places in this country.
- 23:49Uh, even Joe Biden was very much in favor of.
- 23:53And gave these very fiery speeches where he'd say things like, you know, I don't care if you had a rough upbringing.
- 23:57You if you kill someone, you kill someone.
- 23:59Why should we care?
- 24:00And I'm thinking uh I wish you know I wish we still had that guy when he was president.
- 24:03He would have had a lot of way less violence.
- 24:05So that's what we used to have in this country.
- 24:08And the consequence of the three strike policies was it allowed bleeding heart liberals to find these cases where someone would shoplift a beer and it was their third offense, and they'd go to jail for life.
- 24:21And we're supposed to feel bad in that situation.
- 24:24But uh I'm thinking if you and I were people who were one arrest or one felony away from life in jail, how would that impact your behavior?
- 24:34Right, you would think it would.
- 24:35Yeah.
- 24:36That's the thing.
- 24:37If someone offered me like, I'll give you uh you know, a quarter of a million dollars committed a felony, and I knew I had a 50% chance of getting caught.
- 24:44Uh I'm not taking that risk because I don't want to go to jail forever.
- 24:48I I would say it would make way more sense to find a way to make the money legitimately.
- 24:52But some people are stupid, though, Matt.
- 24:54A lot of people are stupid.
- 24:55And they would take the quarter of a million.
- 24:59Uh listen, it it the headline looks sympathetic of oh my god, we're putting this guy away over five bucks.
- 25:05But here's the thing.
- 25:06He was gonna commit a thousand crimes after that, and it would have been way more severe.
- 25:09So who cares?
- 25:11So we need to go back to that, quite right.
- 25:13Let's go to this uh from Fox News.
- 25:15Here is a little more on the story of Lawrence Reed, the guy that set a woman in flo on fire in Chicago.
- 25:22He was out walking the streets uh despite a pending case for allegedly knocking a woman out, able to ride the L train where a woman was set on fire.
- 25:31Now we have a statement from her family through Cook County Health.
- 25:34It's a pretty simple statement.
- 25:35They say we'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and well wishes as our daughter receives care for her injuries sustained earlier this week.
- 25:42We're also grateful for the excellent care and support of the burn team at Stroger Hospital.
- 25:46It goes down to the family uh to say the family will not be providing any more updates.
- 25:50Now, the criminal complaint against Reed says he went to a gas station, filled a plastic bottle with gasoline.
- 25:56The images get brutal here, so brace yourself.
- 25:58Twenty minutes later, he was on the blue line train.
- 26:01Dumped the gasoline on the woman's head.
- 26:03She ran, but he chased her down with the flaming remnants of the bottle and set her on fire.
- 26:08Mayor Brandon Johnson's message is that violence on public transit is not widespread.
- 26:13Look, my responsibility is to build the safest, most affordable big city in America.
- 26:17The investments that we are making are certainly moving us in that direction.
- 26:21This is an isolated incident.
- 26:23I mean, I don't see this as some sort of trend.
- 26:25We've tracked down more than four dozen of rants arrests of Lawrence Reed since 1993.
- 26:30Nine of them were for felonies, yet he has served just over two years behind bars.
- 26:34Most recently he was charged with aggravated assault for knocking out a social worker.
- 26:38The state's attorney requested pretrial detention, but Judge Teresa Molina Gonzalez denied him the request and put him on electronic monitoring.
- 26:46The website CWB Chicago reports that at that dehension uh detention hearing, Judge Molina Gonzalez said, I can't put everyone behind bars or keep everyone in jail just because the state's attorney has asked me to.
- 27:01Why not?
- 27:02Matt, why can't they?
- 27:04Why why not?
- 27:04Is it uh a situation where there aren't enough prisons?
- 27:07There aren't enough.
- 27:08Let's build more.
- 27:09Let's build these things so that we can keep bad people behind bars.
- 27:13It just doesn't make any sense to me.
- 27:14Maybe there is an issue with the the area.
- 27:17There's not enough room in prisons or jails to keep everybody.
- 27:21I I can see that.
- 27:22And but if that is the case, let's build some more.
- 27:25Are you for that as well?
- 27:26Oh, hell yeah.
- 27:27I'm for doubling the prison population.
- 27:30There's this myth that it costs like 40,000 years, uh sorry, 40,000 dollars a year to house a prisoner and people will say, like, oh, we can send them to college for that money and rehabilitate them.
- 27:40And liberals have this idea that education is like this thing that you download, or it's like uh, you know, it's something like you acquire in a video game that levels you up.
- 27:48No, they're not gonna pay attention.
- 27:50The the people in prison, by the way, who take part in educational programs, get their asses kicked for doing so.
- 27:57You cannot join a prison gang even for protection if you're taking it if you're trying to better yourself in any way.
- 28:03So they don't actually get done.
- 28:05But but back to what I was saying, the whole 40,000 a year for a prisoner, they're amortizing the cost of constructing the prison over a certain time period, and then averaging that into the the prison population.
- 28:17If you add one person to the prison population, it's not adding 40,000 a year in cost.
- 28:22And in fact, it lowers the average cost of a prisoner because they're adding to the the um the numerator.
- 28:28You know, you're we're talking about prisons, and you know what it reminded me of is uh Alcatraz.
- 28:34You remember Trump talking about I haven't heard anything else about that.
- 28:37I didn't think it was a great idea to go back and spend all of that money for Alcatraz.
- 28:42It's a cool place to go and visit.
- 28:43I would hate to see that it would no longer be a tourist attraction.
- 28:47And I but I haven't heard a word about that.
- 28:49Have you heard anything about Alcatraz since that came up?
- 28:53And um, I I I hope that it's gone away.
- 28:55I hope that's one of those things that Trump threw a trial balloon out and and everybody jumped on it for a week, like so many other things, Matt.
- 29:03I I think we're to the point that we no longer need psyops from our government because we run them on ourselves.
- 29:11Uh weekly.
- 29:12It happens every week.
- 29:13There last week it was Marjorie Taylor Green.
- 29:15She resigns.
- 29:16Uh, you know, Trump and her have this disagreement, whatever happens.
- 29:19She's now retiring, resigning.
- 29:21I don't know where she's going, what she's going to do, but she's going to leave office January 5th, 2021.
- 29:28Trump seems to be done with her.
- 29:29He said nice things about her.
- 29:30I like her, but I disagree with her stance.
- 29:33I think specifically what he said is he's she's gone over to that crazy guy, Massie.
- 29:39Did you see happen to see that clip?
- 29:41Yeah, she that's what he said, uh, calling Thomas Massey a crazy guy.
- 29:44And of course, he is endorsing someone to run against Massey in his district.
- 29:50And he had not endorsed uh Marjorie Taylor Green to run in a statewide race in the state of Georgia.
- 29:56I don't think she has what it takes to win a statewide race in.
- 30:00Georgia for the Senate.
- 30:01And I think Donald Trump probably knew that.
- 30:03And I think that's why he stayed away from it.
- 30:06I don't know if that's what it was with Marjorie Taylor Green.
- 30:09I have been outspoken about her for a long time, and I'm not going to get into it, but she is retiring and leaving the House of Representatives.
- 30:16And she has apologized for being one of the people that were so outspoken and created a deeper divide between political sides.
- 30:24I don't think that her apology is going to change a thing in this country and that deeper divide and that ca uh chasm between the left and the right.
- 30:32Eric Swalwell, speaking of a chasm and one that makes you want to really hate the left.
- 30:38Eric Swalwell, who had a relationship with a Chinese spy.
- 30:42Her name was Fang Fang.
- 30:43He is in the House of Representatives and a big opponent of Donald Trump for years.
- 30:49He is has announced he's running for governor in the state of California.
- 30:52Is he going to make a great governor in California?
- 30:55Uh I don't think he's going to make a governor, so I guess no.
- 30:58Well, why why not?
- 30:59Do you think it's going to be do you think it's going to be Katie Porter?
- 31:01Do you think she's going to win?
- 31:03I'm kidding.
- 31:03I actually do think you'd probably beat Katie Porter.
- 31:06Um, it's too early to tell.
- 31:09It was funny that when I when you look at the betting odds after the Katie Porter scandal, her odds were actually she went from being the front runner, like in in terms of who people were betting was going to win, to being behind people who hadn't even declare they were gonna run yet.
- 31:24Yeah.
- 31:24So that she completely knew to her odds.
- 31:27Well well, I I just don't really get what um the appeal is supposed to be there, why he thinks he has a shot.
- 31:33Well, here's what I think it is.
- 31:35I think there is a pattern established.
- 31:37If you go back to Adam Schiff and everything that he did when he was in the House of Representatives, he was it was so bad he got censured.
- 31:44They won't even censure Ilon Omar or Plaskett, the one that was having a communication with Jeffrey Epstein during a hearing on February 27th, 2024.
- 31:55They wouldn't censure her, but they uh censure uh Adam Schiff.
- 31:59Well, what does that do?
- 32:00Well, all it did was propel him to win the statewide race to become California's next senator.
- 32:07So it's a TDS vote.
- 32:08Yeah.
- 32:09So I I think that because of that, I wouldn't discount Eric Swalwell becoming a governor in California because of that.
- 32:16Uh, you know, he is the same type of person as Adam Schiff.
- 32:20They sounded the same for years against Donald Trump, and I think in some ways that really points to what California has become.
- 32:30I think it up.
- 32:31He's the front runner and the odds are in his 40s at 47%.
- 32:34Quarter is at 13%, Tom Stiers at 10.
- 32:37Yeah, Swalwell's already leading.
- 32:39Your analysis was a bit better than mine.
- 32:41Right.
- 32:41So you look at that state, you look at the state of California, and the more that you are against Donald Trump, and the more you are a socialist, the more you want to raise taxes, the better chance you have of winning a statewide race.
- 32:54That's the way California is.
- 32:55So when we look at it and we look at Swalwell with his incredible ideas, I have some of his ideas.
- 33:01I'm gonna play this clip for you here.
- 33:03Here's what Swalwell wants if he becomes the governor of California.
- 33:07Pay attention.
- 33:08I want us to be able to vote by phone.
- 33:10I think every California vote by phone.
- 33:12Yeah.
- 33:13If we can do our taxes, do our you know, our make our health care appointments, uh, you know, make uh essentially your do your banking online.
- 33:22You should be able to vote by phone.
- 33:24Make it safe, make it secure, but it's actually already happening all over the United States.
- 33:28I want us to be a blue state that doesn't do just a little bit better than like Georgia or Alabama when it comes to like voting access.
- 33:34I want us to max out democracy.
- 33:36Also, is it related to democracy?
- 33:38If you wait in line for 30 minutes or more, if you do want to vote in person, I think you should find every county for every minute that a person has to wait longer.
- 33:46We have to be better, not just a little bit better than the other states.
- 33:50The DMV.
- 33:52I don't think Californians should have to go in person to the DMV anymore.
- 33:56I think we can do that virtually.
- 33:58I think you you can have the DMV employees do it virtually, but that's a lot of real estate.
- 34:03Is that the most popular position?
- 34:05Digitized digitize the DMV.
- 34:07Yeah.
- 34:08We can modify.
- 34:08Even the guy in California is pushing back on Swalwell on that one.
- 34:13But I gotta say the DMV, if that was implementable, that would be very nice.
- 34:17It it is uh hell on earth going there.
- 34:20But but also it's hell on earth it's the government program, which is most of what he wants everything to be anyway.
- 34:25Right, most of them are uh you know the California is the state that has all of the illegal truck drivers.
- 34:32So let's make it easier for truck drivers all across the country to get a driver's license online going through the state of California through a DMV that is online instead of co showing up in person with papers.
- 34:43It's a nightmare, I think.
- 34:45But we'll keep an eye on Swalwell where he goes in this race.
- 34:48You say that the polymarket and the betting odds have him right now ahead.
- 34:52That's interesting.
- 34:53Yeah, I'd had not looked at it before we just started talking about it, and you bring that up.
- 34:57Yeah, I I I I don't intuitively I thought well, he's a clown, how well could he do?
- 35:01And then as you started speaking, I was like, oh yeah, it's California.
- 35:04What am I what the hell am I saying?
- 35:06So well, Democrats had the video last week telling people in the military to ignore unlawful orders, and I don't know what unlawful orders there were.
- 35:17And I did a program on it last week.
- 35:18I don't want to be redundant, but I want to get your thoughts on it.
- 35:22You had uh specific military members in the House and the Senate that did this video for a specific reason to talk to people in the military to tell them to not follow the orders of the executive branch if they're illegal.
- 35:36Who is deciding what legal is and what isn't illegal?
- 35:40And I think this was done for a specific reason.
- 35:42In my mind, I think it has all the markings of a coup.
- 35:46Maybe it's the end of the coup, maybe it's the beginning.
- 35:49But after you look at the last decade, it could be the end.
- 35:52This is the movement to get Donald Trump out of office and out of power finally.
- 35:56What are your thoughts?
- 35:57Well, yeah, I mean, listen, the members were military or not legal scholars.
- 36:01So that you were correct in asking, well, how do they determine what is legal and what is not?
- 36:05And they're appealing to whatever percentage of the military may be ideologically against Trump, which I think is a very small percentage.
- 36:13And really, even if people went through it, they're just gonna get lose their jobs because defying his military orders is one of those things where unless a very sizable majority band together and agree we're not gonna do this, you're just gonna get a few fringed people say, you know, I'm not going along with this, I've been getting fires.
- 36:31It's just it's not gonna work unless everyone's on board with it, which I don't think is gonna happen.
- 36:35But the fact that they're pushing for this publicly is incredible.
- 36:39And yes, it's absolutely trees, and it is a coup attempt.
- 36:42Yeah, I believe so too.
- 36:43Let's go to Jasmine Crockett because she's always entertaining to me with her eyelashes and her nails.
- 36:50Interesting.
- 36:50She may lose her seat, and we're gonna get into the gerrymandering in Texas coming up after the break here in just a minute.
- 36:56But before we do, let's go to what she said about Jeffrey Epstein donating to Lee Zeldon when he ran for governor in New York.
- 37:05There are a couple of problems with this, Matt.
- 37:08Number one, uh Jeffrey Epstein, the Jeffrey Epstein, the child molester, he was dead when this happened.
- 37:14And the second part is this guy is Dr.
- 37:17Jeffrey Epstein, who has given to a lot of Republicans and conservatives through the years, not even the same person, but really that shows you how the Democrats pay attention to the things that they talk about.
- 37:28They don't even read what it is.
- 37:30Oh, Jeffrey Epstein, there can only be one.
- 37:33There can't be another.
- 37:34I found that story interesting.
- 37:35I don't know if you got a kick out of that or not.
- 37:38It was even CNN, I think it was Caitlin Collins, was like, yeah, so you know it's not the same Jeffrey Epstein and her defense was, well, I'm just gonna off on my team told me.
- 37:46Like as if that makes the I guess he was just I don't even know what the point of the defense was.
- 37:50Was it well, at least I wasn't wrong with my team, or was it my team is supposed to be infallible?
- 37:55I don't know, but even CNN called out on it.
- 37:57So you know it's bad uh when uh and it's it was just a diversion.
- 38:03The only reason that got brought up was because of the Stacy Plaskett scandal, where she was literally texting her talking point.
- 38:10So this was trying to, I guess, divert and say, no, it's bad.
- 38:13Jerry Epstein is bad because he gives it to Republicans, but if that logic is true, then it's also bad if we just a Democrats.
- 38:20So I just have no idea what she was trying to argue.
- 38:22I don't think she does either, quite frankly.
- 38:24Yeah, I don't either.
- 38:25And before we get to the break, uh, let me go back to this.
- 38:27This is Senator Mark Kelly.
- 38:29He was on with uh Joe Scarborough, Mika Brininski, and this was this week, and he is trying to clean up this mess that they had when they did the video.
- 38:38He was Senator Mark Kelly from the state of Arizona.
- 38:41He was one of those on the video.
- 38:43Let's give this a listen and hear him try to clean up this coup and what they did.
- 38:48What is your advice to them if they come across something that seems confusing?
- 38:55I think they need to talk to their leadership.
- 38:57You know, talk to their commanding officer about it and and tell you tell your commanding officer why you think this may be illegal.
- 39:05Um there are lawyers within the military, the judge advocate general core.
- 39:10Um you can have a conversation, you know, with somebody who understands the law.
- 39:15Uh and you know, there's always the option of you you review the UCMJ with your leadership and you explain to somebody why you think this may not be lawful.
- 39:25I think this is stupid.
- 39:26I think that response is really dumb.
- 39:28You've got someone that's having bullets shot at them that has been giving orders.
- 39:33And wait a minute, is this an illegal order?
- 39:35I I need to talk to an attorney before uh you know, this is just a dumb excuse for Mark Kelly to come up with this.
- 39:43We're not that stupid.
- 39:44Maybe the people on MSNBC that watch it every day, especially those that watch Joe Scurr Scarborough, I have a feeling their IQ is somewhere just above 70, just below a monthly government check, I would think.
- 39:57We have more of the conversation coming up in just a minute.
- 39:59Have you?

- 42:02Coming up tonight at 7 o'clock, it is Unleashed the Political News Hour, then the National Security Hour with the two mics.
- 42:08And at nine o'clock, it is after dark with Rob and Andrew.
- 42:11We are here to this last segment of this hour.
- 42:14And as we get into it, I want to talk about the gerrymandering because the Supreme Court came out with a big decision on Friday.
- 42:20A lot of people may have missed it, but it had to do with the gerrymandering and the fact that a judge in Texas had said, okay, you can't do what you did, Texas.
- 42:30They had changed some of the districts, which speaking of Jasmine Crockett and Al Green would be another one.
- 42:36Those are two members in the House of Representatives that may lose their seat as a result of what Texas has done in redrawing their maps.
- 42:43That is something that states do.
- 42:45And typically we kind of wait until after a new census, but a lot of people question the 2020 census.
- 42:52So we had the Supreme Court that came in and said, no, the state of Texas, they can do it.
- 42:57You keep these maps in place until we can hear it and see it and make a determination whether this can happen or not.
- 43:05What are your thoughts on what we're having with gerrymandering?
- 43:09You know, it's in Texas.
- 43:10We are they, I guess they're attempting to do it in California.
- 43:13I don't know what's left in California for them to do in Illinois.
- 43:17You know, they've done all they can do in both of those states.
- 43:20In Texas, though, it can make a difference in maybe five seats.
- 43:24It could be a plus five for the Republicans.
- 43:26I think it's very smart that Donald Trump and his team one could see that if they don't do this, they will probably lose power at the midterm.
- 43:37And I think that that's highly likely right now.
- 43:40I think that that's even with gerrymandering and picking up these five seats.
- 43:44I still think the Democrats, if you look at the betting odds, it's at 70% right now.
- 43:48I still believe that that's probably going to happen at this point.
- 43:51I think a couple of things can happen between now and then.
- 43:54It's a year away, so it's a lot of time.
- 43:56I think if the economy does what people like Scott Bissent are saying that it's going to get really good in uh the first and second quarter of next year, if people can start seeing that, then they're going to vote in a positive way for the Republicans.
- 44:10However, the turnout, as we talked about coming off in New Jersey and Virginia, the turnout's going to be really low for Republicans.
- 44:16There's nothing to energize them, and that's a scary part.
- 44:20But what what are your thoughts on the 2020 census?
- 44:22And then I have a piece from Peter Schweitzer that he made some really good points on a reason why they should be allowed to gerrymander and make these districts different than what they are, even though it's between 2020 and 2030 census.
- 44:37What are your thoughts on that 2020 census?
- 44:40Well, the census can uh counts non-citizens as population and illegal aliens uh as part of that in addition to those who are here legally but not yet citizens, and the consequence is they generally congregate in blue areas and boost their representation by boosting their population and increases obviously the representation in Congress, but also the amount of federal money in those areas can get, and it gives Democrats an unfair advantage.
- 45:05I've seen some studies that the inclusion of all non-citizens gives Democrats something like 20 extra seats.
- 45:13I think the study had it's from Center for Immigration Studies, if anyone wants to look it up.
- 45:17And I believe they were they were estimating something like five extra seats for Democrats just from the illegals, although they were using an estimate of illegals at like 11 million, and I think it's probably way higher than that.
- 45:29So it's probably more now, you know, quite frankly.
- 45:32Um, you know, when it comes to judges questioning these maps, so far it's only happened against Republicans trying to gerry name.
- 45:42Democrats, no one seems to care.
- 45:44So it's clearly targeted there.
- 45:46Uh one of the cases, too, the Supreme Court is reviewing would strike down part of the voting rights act if they rule correctly.
- 45:53And there's something like 20 or so districts that are basically race-based districts that give Democrats around an extra 20 seats as well.
- 46:01So that could definitely buffer any impact during the midterms, but if the midterms turn out the way that the elections earlier this month did, it's not going to be pretty at all.
- 46:10And it, you know, it was not just a blue states being blue states because the margins of victory were way higher than the 2024 election, and it was really every single district.
- 46:23I mean, in Virginia, there wasn't a single candidate back for school boards by moms for Liberty, which is a great group that won.
- 46:30And there was like 34 of them.
- 46:32Every single one lost.
- 46:33So liberals really turt turned out and mobilized in those elections.
- 46:37And if we have to, if the murder of Charlie Kirk couldn't mobilize us, I really don't know what's going to.
- 46:42That's a great point.
- 46:42And it is uh trouble.
- 46:44I thought that censuses just counted people.
- 46:48You know, people show up at your door, you count them.
- 46:50Isn't that what it's about?
- 46:52And here's Peter Schweitzer.
- 46:54So I would ask Peter Schweitzer, don't they just count?
- 46:56Isn't that what their job is in a census?
- 46:59Just count the people.
- 47:00No, we're not.
- 47:01Um, and in fact, in 2020, they used something called differential privacy for the first time ever.
- 47:08And it was drawn up by John About.
- 47:11And essentially what he said is that there are minority groups that are underrepresented in the count.
- 47:17So we have to have a strategy to make sure that they are actually being quote unquote counted.
- 47:22This U.S.
- 47:23Census Bureau admitted in 2022 that the model actually did the opposite of what it said it was going to do.
- 47:29It was gonna more accurate count and actually overcounted in some states and undercounted in others.
- 47:36Well, I'm sure it had a politically neutral impact.
- 47:39Like I'm sure this was not a big deal.
- 47:40Democrat leaning states were widely overcounted, and GOP leaning states were undercounted.
- 47:46So the net effect was that this shifted nine congressional seats away from Republican states and towards Democrat leaning states.
- 47:55And in addition to that, Republican states lost ninety billion dollars in federal grants.
- 48:01Democrats got 57 billion more than they should have, because of course the census not only determines how many congressional seeds you get, it also determines how much you get in block grants from the federal government.
- 48:11So Matt, when Donald Trump says the 2020 census was bogus, it sounds like it was bogus.
- 48:18And I think that maybe those numbers, because they're real numbers, it's data.
- 48:23I think that backs up the fact that the Supreme Court says, well, hang on, we're gonna look at this, and maybe that is some evidence for them to allow what is happening in Texas and possibly other Republican states.
- 48:34I have seen that Indiana is not going to do it, and Donald Trump has been attacking uh lawmakers in the state of Alabama for or Indiana for not doing that.
- 48:44So, what are your thoughts there on what Peter Schweitzer said about that study and about how they did the census in 2020?
- 48:50What was the um the estimate he said for how many seats had moved?
- 48:53Nine.
- 48:54He said nine.
- 48:55Okay, you know what?
- 48:56He I can't remember.
- 48:58The study I I looked at might have I'm remembering might have been before the 2020 census, even.
- 49:03But that that sounds like it could be right.
- 49:05I mean, the thing is one is too many, and it's the funds, too.
- 49:09That is astronomical.
- 49:11I mean, 90 billion dollars is um for for really any state a pretty significant uh took a change.
- 49:17It's more, as I've said before, it's more than I make in a year.
- 49:19So it is quite a bit of money.
- 49:20Well, if you if you're taking uh away seats from a Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, maybe states that don't have as much money, if they're getting a billion or a billion and a half more than now they're not getting it.
- 49:34That really affects local budgets, uh, local state budgets, local city and county budgets, and that's what the census means.
- 49:41That's why it's so important.
- 49:43And I I interrupted you, but please go ahead.
- 49:45Well, no, it's an important thing to point out because obviously for a state like Mississippi, a billion dollars is a percentage of their their economy is way more significant than in California.
- 49:56And the cost of living obviously is way cheaper there, so a billion even goes.
- 50:00Further too when it comes down to what you can buy for it.
- 50:03And that's exactly what we're seeing, though.
- 50:04It's a great redistribution of wealth from poorer states to richer ones that are um taking in more illegal aliens.
- 50:12It is generally going into higher income blue states um on the coast.
- 50:16Yeah, and I think that's why they need to look at that census in 2020 and make sure that the census coming up in 2030 is done right and properly.
- 50:26Don't use these phony numbers that these I don't know what kind of people these are, these mathematicians or whoever it is saying we need to do this to make sure that we get a representation of uh minorities.
- 50:40And what happened was it did the opposite.
- 50:42It gave them more representation than what they should have.
- 50:45Why can't we just count?
- 50:47It's 2025.
- 50:48Technology is incredible.
- 50:50We can't count people.
- 50:52You know, it just it's incredible.
- 50:54We're coming up on Christmas, by the way, and that's why uh Mary and Joseph went to a different place where Jesus was born.
- 51:01They did censuses back then.
- 51:02They could even count them, but here we are, 2025, and we can't count.
- 51:06Mam Donnie made a trip to the Oval Office, and that was interesting.
- 51:11You had I I think it's funny, Donald Trump called him Kwame Mam Donnie.
- 51:15I don't know where he got that.
- 51:16I call him Kami Mam Donnie.
- 51:18He called him Kwame Mam Donny, but he goes there.
- 51:20Donald Trump had said a lot of negative things to uh about Mam Donnie.
- 51:24Mam Donny hasn't been, you know, he called Trump a Nazi and a fascist, but there they are together, and uh I thought it was entertaining in a lot of ways.
- 51:33Do you have the clip prepared of when a reporter asks him if he still thinks Trump is a fascist?
- 51:38Yeah, I do.
- 51:38That was fantastic.
- 51:40What's this?
- 51:41It's way better than me narrating it.
- 51:42It was the funniest thing I've seen all week.
- 51:45Okay, well, let's go to this clip first.
- 51:46This is uh reporter asking Mam Donnie another question, and then we'll get to the one that you just talked to.
- 51:51Let's listen to this one first.
- 51:55Just passed overwhelmingly to condemn socialism, including with 86 Democrats, uh, all of House Gem leadership and the minority American Jeffrey's despite his endorsement of you.
- 52:06What's your reaction to that?
- 52:08I have to be honest with you.
- 52:09I focused very little on resolutions, frankly.
- 52:11I've been focusing socialism.
- 52:13I understand.
- 52:14I think the focus is on the work at hand.
- 52:15I can tell you I am someone who is a democratic socialist.
- 52:18I've been very open about that.
- 52:19And I know there might be differences about ideology, but the place of agreement is the work that needs to be done to make New York City affordable.
- 52:26He's a politician, isn't he?
- 52:27That's pretty smooth answer for what the reporter asked.
- 52:30If you couldn't hear, let me tell you what she was asking about.
- 52:33She was asking about what the House voted on last week condemning socialism.
- 52:37There was actually what, 85, 86 Democrats that didn't vote for that, that they're for socialism.
- 52:43And I think that you hear in Mam Donny's answer there, the reason why he was popular and won the election, because the guy, you know, he talks right.
- 52:52He he people, he's like Obama.
- 52:54People like to hear him talk and think that he has solutions.
- 52:57I think that it's interesting in some polls that the people attracted to Mam Donnie are in some ways similar to the people that are attracted to Trump, because they are coming with a populist message and one that is trying to solve problems of real everyday Americans in the case of Mam Donny.
- 53:15He is talking about things that will solve New Yorkers' everyday problems in affordability in housing and groceries, and so anyway, what are your thoughts there, Matt?
- 53:25Uh yeah, it was a great deflection, and it is um I I know it's it's something he does often when he's asked about anything that's not New York.
- 53:33It's just, well, I only care about New York, which is it's sort of a it's like not America first, it's New York first, and New Yorkers like to hear that.
- 53:40It's you know, I it's very easy to see why he's appealing to people.
- 53:44And they were trying to draw parallels with Trump over the affordability stuff, but you know, the end goal is the same, but the ways of getting there are where there's the difference.
- 53:54And every single thing he's proposed, it's not a theory of we have to try it to know if it's gonna work.
- 54:00It's failed every single place that's ever been tried.
- 54:04So it's he's going to be a massive disappointment.
- 54:07The only way he's not is if he pursues affordability through different policies, but there's no reason to think he's gonna do a 180 all of a sudden on his conviction.
- 54:16Well, you know, it could be Hokel or whoever becomes the governor of New York that really puts the the reins on him to prevent him from going full on commie in New York.
- 54:26And by extension, also Donald Trump could do that as well.
- 54:29You pull the funding back from them, then he can't do anything.
- 54:33So I think he's starting to realize that all of the and maybe he knew this from the beginning.
- 54:38Uh like you have said before, it's like running for middle school uh student body president.
- 54:43I'm gonna put a Coke machine in the lobby, and we're gonna have free pizza every Thursday and every Friday.
- 54:48And you become the president of the student body in middle school, you know the whole time you're not gonna do any of those things.
- 54:54That's what Mam Donnie has done in New York.
- 54:56Here is that clip, though.
- 54:57Let's let's listen to this one together.
- 54:59Get your comments on this on the back end.
- 55:01Are you affirming that you think President Trump is a fascist?
- 55:05I've spoken about that's okay.
- 55:07Okay.
- 55:10It's easier than explaining it.
- 55:14Donald Trump says, yeah, that's okay.
- 55:16Just go ahead and say yes.
- 55:18It's easier than explaining.
- 55:19Just say, yeah, you call me a Nazi and a fascist.
- 55:22I thought it was great.
- 55:22I thought Donald Trump, you know, he was welcoming.
- 55:25I don't know what else he could do.
- 55:26You have the mayor of the largest city in the country, eight and a half million people.
- 55:31And I, you know, I think it's it's good that they did it.
- 55:34I don't have much hope that Mam Donnie is going to change his thought process.
- 55:39What were your thoughts coming out of that?
- 55:41And also about that clip.
- 55:42Well, if he if they had an adversarial exchange or encounter, the media would have just portrayed Mam Dani as you know, as a sort of David versus Goliath person, and it wouldn't have mattered what the actual facts or circumstances was.
- 55:55He would have been a little guy taking on the president, and it would have looked great for him, even if objectively it didn't.
- 56:01Um, and this sort of disarmed, and I I think it discredited Mam Dami to some of his own supporters, and that if you really think someone is a fascist, do you joke about it with them while you're standing next to them?
- 56:14Uh the answer is no.
- 56:15So I I don't know.
- 56:17It was funny.
- 56:17This Trump understands it.
- 56:19I think Mam Dami must well, how could he not understand that politics largely is theater?
- 56:24And they have actual business to discuss.
- 56:26And instead of spending five minutes trying to perform mental gymnastics to explain why he's talking to someone who was just calling a fascist and why Trump was talking to someone he just called an Islamist and a communist, and just say, or just give you what you want to hear, and then the adults can go back to talking business.
- 56:43That's basically what was happening there.
- 56:45It was a hilarious exchange.
- 56:46Well, Matt, we are at the end of our hour.
- 56:48I want you to have a great Thanksgiving and also happy birthday.
- 56:52You won't have a birthday before you come back.
- 56:54You'll be a year older, so happy birthday to you, and thank you so much for always coming on the program.
- 56:59Make sure you go and check out Matt's new book.
- 57:01You look at all of his books, by the way, as well.
- 57:04You can go to Amazon, you can find them there.
- 57:06Ten books, Spygate, fact-checking the fact checkers.
- 57:10Yeah, the man behind the curtain.
- 57:12Help him support his new baby girl, Eliana.
- 57:16Seven pounds, 20 inches, a week old now.
- 57:18Matt, congratulations on that as well.
- 57:21And thank you for joining us.
- 57:22Happy Thanksgiving.
- 57:23All right, thank you so much, and I'll see you next week.
- 57:25And don't forget, you were told two thousand years ago that you are the salt of the earth.
- 57:29And salt without flavor has no value, so whatever you do, keep being salty.
- 57:33Have a great night.
- 57:34There is only one truth.
- 57:36You've been listening to The Truth Be Told with Booker Scott on America Out Loud.
