- 0:11Hello, this is Todd Royal.
- 0:13I am your host of Geopower Energy and Real Politics.
- 0:17And today we are going to all get a lesson, including myself in real politics.
- 0:25Obviously, we know the world is at war right now, whether it's Pakistan and the Taliban, whether it's Russia in Ukraine, or certainly Iran with the United States and Israel preemptively attacking it.
- 0:41One thing though has become abundantly clear.
- 0:46Anybody who thinks that we are at net zero, we are going to decarbonize, or as the International Energy Agency said a few years ago, the incredibly unwise, ideologically unsound, you know, faith baral.
- 1:05The world no longer needs fossil fuels.
- 1:08Can we take that tired global warming, environmentally driven Marxist nonsense, whether from an imbecile teenager Greta Thunberg or the fools at big giant corporations or the Black Stones or the Black Rocks or the IEA or the United Nations or the former Biden administration or the incredibly destructive United States Democratic Party and its supposed green allies or the European Greens or the feckless leadership of Ursula Vanderlei or Kaya, the one from Estonia, the their foreign minister, or McCrone or Mertz or Starmer, Ed Milibrand or the fools who run Australia or New Zealand, the world runs on fossil fuels.
- 2:07That is an immutable fact.
- 2:10We have spent trillions on renewables, and they've done nothing.
- 2:16Remember, renewables.
- 2:19What I refer to renewables today, it's going to be the wind and the sun.
- 2:23Every single component in a wind turbine and solar panel comes from fossil fuels.
- 2:32Every single one of them.
- 2:44Here's hoping that the creator of the show, Taylor Sheridan and Mr.
- 2:48Thornton, the lead actor, do one on solar panels.
- 2:52It's even worse.
- 2:54They come mainly from China.
- 2:56One of the most energy intensive things you can ever do is to make a solar panel.
- 3:03It's unbelievable when people to me think those things are green.
- 3:07If you don't believe me, please go read myself and the wonderful uh Ron Stein's book, Clean Energy Exploitations.
- 3:14There's a shameless plug.
- 3:17But it was interesting.
- 3:18There's a couple things that when we think about this.
- 3:22The world got a dosage of energy reality when Russia invaded Ukraine.
- 3:28And all of a sudden, when you take away Russian gas, the EU is crashing.
- 3:33In other words, a fossil fuel, not renewables, not a solar panel, not a battery energy storage system at grid scale, which runs lithium and can never store electricity more than I'll be generous generous and tell you eight hours.
- 3:50Most people would dispute me and say four to six.
- 3:53I can find even credible people who would say two uh two hours.
- 3:58The best work I've ever seen on this was done, has been done by Mark P.
- 4:03Mills.
- 4:04Mark does amazing work.
- 4:06Doomberg does amazing work on this, has written extensively on renewables.
- 4:10Uh Chris Kiefer's uh Dr.
- 4:13Chris Kiefer, pardon me, podcast decouple has gone into this.
- 4:19Uh Dr.
- 4:19Kiefer's work recently on Twitter about the energy history of the EU is a must read Twitter thread, his podcast to couple, does amazing work, focuses on nuclear power, but also does overall energy work as well.
- 4:34And uh between Dr.
- 4:36Kid, the the recent interview of Dr.
- 4:38Kiefer and Doomberg is a must listen.
- 4:41Mr.
- 4:42Mills's work on all of this is great.
- 4:45But when I thought about some of this and preparing for this episode, the great LeBron James, the basketball player.
- 4:54Great debate goes on who's a better player, him or Michael Jordan, you know, the GOAT, the greatest of all time.
- 5:01What I would say about Mr.
- 5:02James and a thousand years ago I played basketball and I coached it previously as well, is what he shows is a fact.
- 5:12Go YouTube, uh LeBron James's workouts.
- 5:17Go YouTube, his diet, his knowledge of the game.
- 5:21Um, if you want to hear a genius at work, go listen to his um YouTube's about and with JJ Reddick on basketball.
- 5:31The man is a savant.
- 5:33Go look at his pre-game uh warmups or pardon me, yeah, warmups, how he gets his body ready, activates his muscles.
- 5:41I mean, the man has a body of a of a 25-year-old.
- 5:46Yet here he is at 41 years old.
- 5:48The Lakers are playing as good a basketball as anybody.
- 5:51This man is so smart.
- 5:53He has now allowed uh Luka Donchik and Austin Reeves to the Los Angeles Lakers to kind of take center stage.
- 6:01He's now what's called the third, you know, the third option.
- 6:05You I cannot say enough about how intelligent of a basketball player he is, how he keeps his body, in other words, there's a fact.
- 6:14Yes, Mr.
- 6:15James is 6'9, 245, 265 pounds.
- 6:20Go watch him play right now.
- 6:23He will fly through the air and dunk a basketball.
- 6:26Watch the game a week ago.
- 6:27He takes an alley oop from Luka Donchik.
- 6:30There's I don't know, maybe a few hundred people in the world that can do that.
- 6:36Certainly nobody at his age.
- 6:38So in other words, there's a fact.
- 6:42Not saying you're gonna be LeBron James, but if you probably want to be a professional athlete and you want to be at his level and you want to be his level that high, then you better work out like LeBron James.
- 6:52There's been some great examples.
- 6:54JJ Reddick had a legendary routine, the now the coach of the Lakers, and he said, I couldn't do it anymore.
- 6:59I was, I was, I was done.
- 7:01Uh John Elway, the great John Elway, same thing said, I just couldn't do it anymore.
- 7:08He was like, I still throw football, but what it was going to take.
- 7:13But yet somehow Mr.
- 7:15James can continue to do this.
- 7:16Uh, if this podcast ever gets to LeBron James, hats off to you.
- 7:22Hats off to you for being a 41-year-old man and playing this way.
- 7:27And full disclosure, I've been critical of his politics.
- 7:31Um, but man, the man uh seemingly is still married to his high school sweetheart, completely devoted to his children.
- 7:42Um, that is a rare breed.
- 7:44That's a rare find right there.
- 7:46And then to still be working out the way he is, and he's a billionaire.
- 7:52Well, what it shows is success is not necessarily money.
- 7:57Success is drive.
- 7:58Success is this man has the drive to do it.
- 8:01Sure, there's been reports he spends one to two million dollars a year on his body, but he still has to show up to do all the workouts, to go to sleep, to eat properly.
- 8:13Um, I would guess that the man probably doesn't smoke much, drink much.
- 8:18Um again, uh, think what you may think about as politics, but let me tell you what, you should admire that gentleman because it shows a fact.
- 8:29The same way we are seeing the fact of the Strait of Hormouths being closed.
- 8:35You want to be a professional athlete like LeBron James, then you better have dedication like him.
- 8:40You want to have a modern economy, you want to not freeze to death, starve to death, uh, die for lack of water.
- 8:48You better have a fossil fuel.
- 8:50Here's another thing that recently happened as well.
- 8:52Um, I want to credit Alex Trembeth.
- 8:56Uh, he writes a publication called The Eco Modernists.
- 9:00It's through the Breakthrough Institute.
- 9:02Uh, they do just about some of the best work on nuclear power you're going to read.
- 9:07I would definitely call them uh environmentalists, but they're realist.
- 9:12You can't you'll be hard pressed to find um outside of James Krellenstein, anybody as smart on nuclear power and the environment as um as these guys.
- 9:28Uh Ted Nordhaus, Adam, Dr.
- 9:31Adam Stein.
- 9:32You're you're hard pressed to find someone who can write more factually, persuasively than Mr.
- 9:40Nordhouse.
- 9:41Well, one of the folks that he works with, Alex Trimbeth wrote something so um article called The Cruelty is the point on Paul Ehrlich and the Malthusian Malevalence.
- 9:53Pardon me for mispronouncing that word.
- 9:55Um, Paul Erlach, big environmentalist.
- 10:00There's not enough food in the world, so people should die and died.
- 10:06Um he's the author of the population bomb, you know, population bomb.
- 10:13He, oh, he's was been famous for 50 years on Johnny Carson, just quoted over and over.
- 10:21Um I don't want to take away from this article because they they say that you know Ehrlich bashing has become universal.
- 10:33But it it let me quote them though, and he goes, it is because of how spectacularly wrong his high stakes predictions proved, and because the cruelty with which he spoke about babies, mothers, families, and the and the poor.
- 10:49Um this was at, you know, he inspired China's one-child policy.
- 10:57Um they quoted as saying it's estimated 20 million missing girls were largely due to coerce sex selective abortion and infanticide.
- 11:09Why is this important?
- 11:12Because Paul Ehrlich is a god to the to the modern Western environmental movement, which kills Africans, Indians, uh people, because these are the fools who have said, oh, we can decarbonize.
- 11:33No, let me be straight with you.
- 11:35You will only decarbonize using a nuclear power plant.
- 11:38You will only decarbonize if advanced nuclear reactor companies like um TerraPower, um Copenhagen Atomics, Kairos Power, X Energy, New Scale, uh G Renoe, you know, G, GE Renova, Hitachi Nuclear Energy, Westinghouse.
- 12:02Um, you will only, only Russian, you know, Rose Adams, uh, Chinese companies, you will only decarbonize using a nuclear power plant, whether you like the country or not, the Russians and the Chinese, or you, you know, you you have you prefer uh Canadian can do reactor.
- 12:24Do you prefer the French?
- 12:25Do you prefer uh newfound SMR companies that stands for small modular reactor?
- 12:30You will only decarbonize using a nuclear power plant.
- 12:36You will die if you listen to people like Paul Ehrlich, who comes from Thomas Malthus, oh, the famed preacher in the 1700s who said there wasn't enough resources and supplies, and that people should die and not have babies, these tired environmental arguments.
- 12:57Um, I also credit Ted Nordhaus for talking about climate lawfare.
- 13:02It will be in the show notes where they these law firms and environmental organizations like Friends of the Earth, Sierra Club, uh, that Robert Bryce has done such excellent work chronicling the billions of dollars these people receive from people like the Walton Airs, you know, Sam Walton's rolling over in his grave, or Steve Jobs' uh widow.
- 13:26How is it that successful men breed such unsuccessful women?
- 13:32Women that could be using their wealth for good, go build churches, orphanages, clean water facilities, water wells, um, agriculture, but no, they use it because they want to think of themselves as gods.
- 13:49Ladies, you're not.
- 13:50You're a bunch of Jezebels.
- 13:54Let that one land on you.
- 13:57What this war has shown us.
- 14:04Never listen to Paul Ehrlach.
- 14:06Never.
- 14:08Never.
- 14:14Again, I want to credit Mr.
- 14:15Trimbeth because he goes, Urlac, who is a proud champion of Malthusian.
- 14:21Oh, yes, get rid of people.
- 14:23That's what you need.
- 14:26Um has argued that the earth can only sustain 2.5 billion people, but his work has been uh the time, his work has been thoroughly discredited by the likes of Marquette and Conduset.
- 14:39Uh you know, even Karl Marx and Esther Ballstrap.
- 14:46Oh his memoir, he said famine would take over that would kill hundreds of millions of people.
- 14:52No, let me tell you what's going to kill hundreds of millions of people if you don't reopen the Strait of Hormouth, if the Houthis closed down uh the Red Sea, the the Bournemouth pass.
- 15:04Um if you want to close those down, which is fascinating because wait a minute, I thought I was we were told you didn't need fossil fuels.
- 15:13That's what we were told.
- 15:15Yet, of course, uh a wonderful group.
- 15:18Oh, these guys, the energy bad boys and a gentleman named Mitch Rowling as well.
- 15:23Uh, please go, please, please, please, please, please go subscribe to these guys on Substack.
- 15:29Uh, I can't say enough incredible things about these guys.
- 15:33They're probably the best energy model modelers going right now.
- 15:38They talked about like the recent winter storm in Texas that wind and solar, because they basically didn't work, because they're dependent on the weather.
- 15:46Lost set Texans lost 766 million dollars.
- 15:50Do you realize that the Qatari Energy has said that because the Rice Lafon um facility was bombed by the Iranians?
- 15:59But wait a minute, remember, we don't need, we we don't we don't need fossil fuels.
- 16:03So why do we need natural gas?
- 16:04Thought we didn't need any of these things anymore.
- 16:07We're gonna go net zero.
- 16:08That's what the IEA told me, yet somehow they want to coordinate the release of 400 million barrels of oil.
- 16:15What I'm getting at is there are immutable facts.
- 16:19Paul Ehrlich is an evil man.
- 16:21Don't celebrate him, don't speak his name in goodwill.
- 16:27Everything he said was wrong.
- 16:29Every environmental organization right now, don't listen to him.
- 16:32The Democratic Party, the uh what at one point was a beloved Democratic Party to be, the party of Truman of Kennedy, Scoop Jackson.
- 16:42You can make the argument the greatest geopolitical decision of the 20th century was uh former, you know, now obviously deceased President Truman not crossing the 38th parallel.
- 16:56Now for it, we have South Korea, which has given us trillions of dollars of economic goodwill.
- 17:04Uh one of the bright shining industrial lights in the world are the South Koreans.
- 17:10You are hard pressed to find a better-run country than South Korea.
- 17:15You were certainly hard-pressed to find um better shipping and steel and forgings and certainly nuclear power plant construction outside of the Russians and the Chinese than the South Koreans.
- 17:31Yet people like Paul Ehrlich would say, oh, no, no, no, get rid of all of them.
- 17:36Oh, no, no, no, use wind and solar.
- 17:38Bill McKibben, who has a new book on solar.
- 17:41I don't even like to, I don't even want to promote it.
- 17:43It's not even worth the ink.
- 17:45It's it's not even worth the paper, the waste of ink, the waste of Mr.
- 17:50McKibben's time, which by all accounts is a is a lovely charming man.
- 17:57But has this ideological fantasy that the wind and the sun is going to power a modern economy?
- 18:04If that were the case, why has the entire world freaked out over the Strait of Hormuz?
- 18:10I thought we were all going to net zero.
- 18:12That's what I was told.
- 18:14We were going to decarbonize.
- 18:22So why is the entire world, including the Democratic Party and the Greens of Europe freaking out?
- 18:32If you want Mr.
- 18:33Ehrlach's predictions to come true, take away over 18 million barrels of oil a day, which if I can also recommend somebody else to you.
- 18:51Pardon me, Dr.
- 18:52Anas Al-Haji.
- 18:54He has a firm called Energy Outlook Advisors, and he he put something out called the Hormose Crisis and Alternative View.
- 19:02He gives some pretty interesting views that I don't have time to get into, but he definitely says the loss of crude and petroleum products is more than 18 million barrels a day.
- 19:13If it was not such a big deal, then lose them all.
- 19:17Blow up every single one of the um facilities Iran has said they want to blow up.
- 19:25Go blow up every energy facility in Iran.
- 19:35Blow that up, blow up Israel's power plants.
- 19:39Because we can we can run on the wind and the sun.
- 19:42Blow them all up.
- 19:43Taiwan, you don't need nuclear power.
- 19:45You're gonna run on renewables.
- 19:48Why have they freaked out that they have maybe 11 days worth worth of gas storage?
- 19:53You never hear somebody going, oh, I've only got these many days of the wind and the sun.
- 19:59Because it's a
- 20:00Joke.
- 20:01It's an alternative energy.
- 20:03It's if you want to use it for off-grid applications, great.
- 20:07Go do it.
- 20:08Why is it when a solar plant gets destroyed in Iowa because of a hurricane or a windstorm in Africa takes out some wind turbines, you hear nothing about it.
- 20:20That's not even ideological.
- 20:22Why does it CNN go?
- 20:24Oh my gosh, we lost over 700 megawatts of solar in Georgia because of a tornado or a hurricane is hit an installation by one of the big uh utilities in the Carolinas.
- 20:39Because nobody cares.
- 20:42Because it means nothing.
- 20:45Our entire lives are bathed in, soaked in.
- 20:50Please forgive me for being crass, but have sex with, shoot in our arms, petroleum-based products.
- 20:58Nobody cares that when someone says the wind and the sun are free, they're talking about the marginal cost.
- 21:08Okay.
- 21:09Yes, when the wind goes through a turbine, it's free.
- 21:13But you will never recover the emissions and the dirt, the dirtiness and the environmental impact of a turbine compared to a natural gas plant.
- 21:22I would even make the argument a coal-fired plant is cleaner than a wind turbine because you have to back the thing up.
- 21:30You have to build two complete systems.
- 21:33You have to do all sorts of things with a grid that it was never meant for.
- 21:37We actually now know the amount of penetration it takes to blackout a grid.
- 21:43Look at Spain and Portugal, the Iberian Peninsula.
- 21:46A new report has come out from their regulators.
- 21:49And we we had about 78% renewable penetration.
- 21:55The grid went out.
- 21:56People argue with me.
- 21:57Oh, the inverters were not working correctly, and they didn't manage the grid.
- 22:02And this didn't happen.
- 22:04No, some cloud cover came in.
- 22:07Isn't it fascinating that I can bomb a nuclear power plant and it keeps working?
- 22:14Zaffarita in Ukraine, the Iranian one.
- 22:19They work.
- 22:23Yet a cloud comes over the Iberian Peninsula.
- 22:26It's over with.
- 22:27Grid shuts down.
- 22:29If you want Mr.
- 22:30Earl, if you you really have a choice on this, and go with me on this.
- 22:36Follow LeBron James.
- 22:38Excellence.
- 22:39Go with the lies and the evil and the disgustedness of a Paul Erlac and today's modern environmental movement backed up by people like the ACLU, the U.S.
- 22:50Democratic Party, and European Greens.
- 22:53You will die.
- 22:56You do need fossil fuels.
- 22:58What you actually need, and uh I credit the great David Blackman, who's been on the program before.
- 23:03He talks about coal as making a resurgence uh in America.
- 23:07Uh and I said this before, and I'll say it again.
- 23:09Please go follow um David Blackman.
- 23:13Uh another gentleman named Nathan Hammer has a great article out called Qatar Under Attack, why liquefied natural gas powers the global economy.
- 23:25Or the gentleman you hear me talk about often, who is probably.
- 23:32I'd call him one of the heroes of energy public policy these days, is uh Telik Dashi.
- 23:37I think he's Dr.
- 23:38Dashi.
- 23:39Forgive me if you are uh if I'm saying your name incorrect, Mr.
- 23:43Dashi.
- 23:44I've quoted you numerously and would love to have you on the show.
- 23:48He's got one that's even better.
- 23:50Um, called The Strait of Hormuz Crisis shows the world still runs on fossil fuels.
- 23:57Uh even further is a wonderful new writer on the scene.
- 24:01She's been for a while called Sarah Montalbano called gut called uh Governor Holchul.
- 24:07New York needs breathing room with its climate goals.
- 24:10Wait a minute.
- 24:11Oh, oh, whoa, whoa.
- 24:12I thought you passed your climate.
- 24:15You passed all your your your climate.
- 24:18I thought climate change was an existential threat.
- 24:21Can let me also say, and you can call me a denier all day long.
- 24:25Please do.
- 24:27The facts, not my opinion.
- 24:30The facts show that global warming is not happening.
- 24:35The facts.
- 24:36There is not a climate doom.
- 24:38There's no need for climate legislation.
- 24:41Again, I would point anybody to um the Breakthrough Institute and the work they do.
- 24:47Um they they talk about many times climate legislation causes more harm than good when you look at the natural variability of um climate.
- 24:59If you actually want to lower your emissions, if you want to meet the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Climate Agreement, you do what the United States did, and you move from coal to natural gas.
- 25:10Now, I will tell you, I could care less about either one of those agreements.
- 25:15They mean nothing.
- 25:16There, it uh it is nothing because whether you are a creationist, an evolutionist, or somewhere in between.
- 25:25The world has been warmer, it's been colder, it's had more CO2 in the air, and more what's called particulate matter in the air before fossil fuels and before we had this many people.
- 25:37Why is that?
- 25:39You do not have to study this stuff all the time like I do.
- 25:43You don't have to be a climatologist, a scientist.
- 25:46You have to be any of those things.
- 25:48Because the climate, according to Dr.
- 25:51Willie Soon, has thousands upon thousands of variables that affect it.
- 25:57And just looking at one of the variables takes a supercomputer about 40 years to go through a question on it.
- 26:04Now, I will certainly tell you that is the God of the Jewish Bible.
- 26:10Uh, there is a creator of the universe.
- 26:12That is the God who sent us Jesus Christ, the savior of our uh of ourselves and our sins and the savior of humanity that is part of the holy trinity, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
- 26:23I know many people you can mock me now.
- 26:26Oh my gosh, you're a denier.
- 26:29And you are a Bible-believing inherently of the Bible Christian.
- 26:34I can heal it, I can hear Bill Maher now mocking the hell out of me.
- 26:39Go right ahead.
- 26:41Um, I will take Pascal's wager on that one, by the way.
- 26:47But what this is really to not sit here and continue to be funny, is this.
- 26:52And it's and it's what I'm going to tell you after the break, and I want to go through uh Tali Gadashi's article because it's so massively important to show you the role of fossil fuels in our in our lives and how we can do nothing without fossil fuels.
- 27:07And frankly, you can't even build a nuclear power plant without fossil fuels.
- 27:12My name is Todd Royal.

- 30:00The dot health forward slash out loud.
- 30:02News code out loud for 20% off your first order.
- 30:05That is TWC.
- 30:07Health forward slash out loud.
- 30:13Hello, this is Todd Royal, and we're back for the second half of Geopower, Energy, and Real Politics.
- 30:20There's something I wanted to talk with you about, though, right now.
- 30:24Um from Tilig Dashi.
- 30:26And Mr.
- 30:27Dashi, he wrote an article that I mentioned in the first part of the show called the Strait of Hormose Crisis.
- 30:34Uh shows the world still runs on fossil fuels.
- 30:37The entire thesis of this show is what I'll talk about facts, and the facts are what this war has shown.
- 30:46And please don't tell me we talk about oh, a crisis or a conflict or special operation.
- 30:51Are people being shot or bombed and the other sides, you're doing it to each other, and you can't come to a political or diplomatic or economic uh solution.
- 31:02If you can't and you go to killing one another, that's a war.
- 31:06You have battles within that war, but that's a war.
- 31:11Please, I get tired of oh, this conflict.
- 31:14And no, no, no.
- 31:15No, no, no.
- 31:16Three nation states are warring it out with one another.
- 31:21Um, whether you agree or not about hitting civilian targets, um, World War II showed us that hitting civilian targets, you can win a war that way.
- 31:32Um, by terrorizing and killing civilians, you can achieve success on a battlefield.
- 31:38Doesn't mean you have to agree with it.
- 31:39Doesn't mean you have to say that's against international law, but I keep hearing analysts go, it doesn't work.
- 31:46Oh, yes, it does work.
- 31:48It's not correct, but oh yes, it does work.
- 31:51Um, go read Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five.
- 31:54It will traumatize you to go burn down Dresden for no supposedly no good reason, but you had to break the will of the of the Nazi ideology.
- 32:04You had to go burn down then uh 80% of Tokyo to Japan to take out that uh Shinto Buddhism racist masochist um cheesmo that was the imperial uh government, uh, the emperor worship system and the Japanese army.
- 32:24You are not going to do that by negotiations.
- 32:27You are going to do that by slaughtering and obliterating as many Japanese or Germans as possible.
- 32:34In the same vein, unfortunately, if you want to win this war or you want to stop this war, if you are the Iranians, you put the Middle East into blackout.
- 32:47You bomb every desalinization plant you can.
- 32:50Now that doesn't say you won't have a nuclear response from um from any of these nations.
- 32:58Doesn't say if I get rid of all the drinking water in Israel, they're not going to lob nuclear weapons at me, or the United States wouldn't do the same thing.
- 33:06But if you want this thing to come to a conclusion, go put the Middle East in a blackout and watch people start dying by the tens of millions and uh evil people like the now to see deceased Paul Ehrlich will get his wish.
- 33:22Less people on Mother Earth, he will get his wish.
- 33:25His population bomb and neo-malthusian and the rest of these environmentalists who believe in that nonsense.
- 33:32Oh, you will get your wish.
- 33:34But let's make no mistake.
- 33:37Um this whole problem can be solved.
- 33:46World War II showed us that problems can be solved.
- 33:50LeBron James shows us that if you want to be a professional athlete, I'm not saying you're gonna be as good as Mr.
- 33:55James.
- 33:56Here at my at his age, here is the level of dedication.
- 34:00Yes, he has got uh genius level.
- 34:07Well, he probably is a genius uh at the game of basketball.
- 34:10He sees things kind of like a Wayne Gretzky that others aren't seeing.
- 34:14But make no mistake, whether it's Mr.
- 34:17James or someone like a Stephen Curry who spends hours every day dribbling and shooting a basketball.
- 34:23If you want to be them, you better go put in the work.
- 34:26If you want to go win this war, you got two ways to do it.
- 34:31You can either you can either uh slaughter people into oblivion, or you can get rid of their fossil fuels.
- 34:39And I'm gonna go through this now and you go, whoa, whoa, Todd, that is man, that is harsh.
- 34:47Very harsh.
- 34:48Truth is harsh.
- 34:50Let's just get some facts out there.
- 34:52The Strait of Hormuz is barely 20, and I'm gonna I'm gonna be quoting throughout this article.
- 34:58The Strait of Hormuz is barely 21 miles wide at its narrowest point, which makes this one of the greatest concentrations of economic risk on the planet, which also it's so stupid that the Middle East allowed this to happen.
- 35:12Frankly, that the entire world, you didn't want to have backup pipelines.
- 35:17You didn't want to build another Panama Canal.
- 35:20You didn't want to do something, or frankly, you don't, then all of you should go into Iran together and literally level the entire country.
- 35:28And if that means every single person is killed, then I guess they are.
- 35:32You go into Yemen and you slaughter every Houthi you can find.
- 35:36You can solve these problems.
- 35:39You just don't have the political will to solve these problems.
- 35:43You want to listen to fools like Rachel Maddow or Joe Scarborough or the rest of the U.S.
- 35:49Democratic Party or the American public.
- 35:51Oh, we're too queasy about these things.
- 35:53Well, go read your World War II history.
- 35:56Go read the wonderful Victor Davis Hanson's book, the best book on this called the The Second World War.
- 36:04The most comprehensive book that is one of the more chilling books you'll ever read when it talks about what was done in World War II and any lectures you can ever listen to from Dr.
- 36:14Hansen about World War II, the 100 million people now.
- 36:20I've read new estimates that a hundred million people died.
- 36:24You know, as people are getting better about you know, finding graves, uh, looking at dental records, basically finding out when someone passed away or was killed during they're finding more and more people from World War II.
- 36:39But listen to this, listen to this chilling what uh Mr.
- 36:42Dashi says, and Mr.
- 36:43Dashi, pardon me.
- 36:44I cannot recall if you're Mr.
- 36:45Dashi or Dr.
- 36:46Dashi.
- 36:50When tensions flare in the Persian Gulf, the reverbiations travel far beyond the Middle East.
- 36:56There fell to Mumbai, Tokyo, Seoul, Bangkok, Manila, and ultimately across the entire global economy.
- 37:06Again, I thought we were going to net zero.
- 37:09So who cares if I get rid of it?
- 37:12Uh the person we probably should all be listening to is the CEO of Saudi Aramico, who for years has said you're living in a fantasy land international energy agency.
- 37:22If you think uh the end of fossil fuels is near and no more investments are needed.
- 37:28The world is not going to run on renewables.
- 37:30It doesn't now, and it never will in our lifetime until you can unlock the physics and until you can capture controlling how much sun goes through a solar panel, controlling how much wind can go through a wind turbine, the speed at which it can go, the power it can deliver, the heat that it can produce, which it can't produce much if any heat at all.
- 37:52And until you can figure out battery storage systems at grid scale that can last for months at a time and not only deliver electricity, but deliver heat the way a fossil fuel can or a nuclear power plant can, then it means nothing.
- 38:10And you will then have to eventually say, do I go in and slaughter every Iranian I can find to keep the Strait of Hormos open, or we live with downtrodden economic depression, or we get every single hydrocarbon we can from the United States, but they're a politically unstable society because they still listen to the U.S.
- 38:33Democratic Party, which means then I better go down into Latin America and get uh from the Vacamurda, Brazil, Argentina, Guyana, Venezuelan oil, Canadian oil, but they're run by you know the ultimate globalist uh fantasy Mark Carney, Mr.
- 38:52Global Warming himself.
- 38:55Folks, the Mark Carne's of the world, the Ursula Vandeleys of the world need to be thrown into the dust bin of political history.
- 39:06You also need to know the US Democratic Party is dead.
- 39:10This is a radical socialist, anti-growth, anti-human, all about power, wants you to be subservient, call them gods and goddesses, and once you dead and once only economic growth and power for them.
- 39:24And if you die, California while serving at the your master Gavin Newsom, fine by them.
- 39:34In the United States, you either elect a Trump like Republican or you will die.
- 39:43Harsh.
- 39:43That's the truth.
- 39:46This war has shown get rid of fossil fuels, people die.
- 39:50The U.S.
- 39:51Democratic Party wants to get rid of fossil fuels.
- 39:54AOC knows nothing.
- 39:58Knows literally nothing.
- 39:59The scroll.
- 40:00Squad knows nothing.
- 40:02Ilian Omar should be deported, jailed, uh thrown into a prison the rest of her life.
- 40:08She's a cheating, lying human being with no redeeming qualities.
- 40:14Wants to conquer you, people of Virginia.
- 40:18And you voted for that and you believe for that.
- 40:21People of America, people of Europe, you either begin to vote for like the ADF or the British conservative parties.
- 40:29You let the Norwegians control your energy policy, or you're gonna die.
- 40:35Your entire entire entire existence outside of the God of the Jewish Bible and Jesus Christ for most of the world is that the Strait of Hormuz stays open and those 18 billion barrels, 18, pardon me, 18 million barrels of oil reach where they need to go, or Russian natural gas gets to Europe.
- 41:01One-fifth of the world's oil consumption and a similar share of global liquid natural gas trade passes through the Strait of Hormuz, making it the most critical energy marine choke point on earth.
- 41:18The consequences of that vulnerability is still shocking.
- 41:21I'm actually shocked.
- 41:23The biggest shock to me is that the Chinese have allowed this to happen.
- 41:29The people who believe in the long game, the people who think decades ahead, five-year plans, they allowed a significant amount of their 20 million barrels a day they import to come from the Middle East.
- 41:44You didn't do your pipeline years ago with Russia for more liquid natural gas.
- 41:58That the Chinese have allowed this to happen.
- 42:03Now governments around the world, corporations, green groups are scrambling to conserve fuel, release strategic reserves, secure alternative supplies.
- 42:14You've got the Western hemisphere, and that's about it.
- 42:17The Europeans are so stupid and so ideologically driven, and listen to complete fools like Ed Milibrand or Keir Starmer or McCrone or Mertz.
- 42:29The Europeans have plenty of oil and natural gas to go get themselves.
- 42:33If you don't believe me, go back 25 years and just have a look.
- 42:38Go to the when it then was the BP statistical review of world energy.
- 42:43Look at the figures.
- 42:44They're easy to find.
- 42:46Go to chat GPT and put them in.
- 42:53Mr.
- 42:53Tosh, what he says here.
- 42:56Um just just listen to this, what Mr.
- 43:00Dashi says.
- 43:06The spectacle, 21 mile part of the earth is now crippling the earth.
- 43:14The spectacle is a striking reminder of an inconvenient truth.
- 43:19I always like uh a nice snarky sentence against uh former vice president Al Gore.
- 43:25Despite decades of political rhetoric about an imminent energy transition to net zero by 2050, and I will try to put in the show notes works by uh Mark P.
- 43:36Mills, who's talked about all of this and written wonderful reports on this.
- 43:40The modern global economy remains heavily dependent on oil and gas.
- 43:45It's over 80%.
- 43:47Much of that supply still throw still flows through a single narrow passage between Iran and Oman.
- 43:55People like to say this.
- 43:56I'm MAGA, I'm MAGA, I don't support this war, I'm an isolationist, I'm an American first guy.
- 44:02Um Tucker Carlson, all the things he says, Candace Owens, Rachel Maddow, um, you know, the Joe Scarborough's, the CNNs, the folks on that debate panel every night, and all of you people.
- 44:16Oh my gosh, Donald Trump is the worst.
- 44:19No, he's not.
- 44:23Um you think the Iranians weren't going to get a nuclear bomb and close it down anyway.
- 44:33I would tell the entire world if you truly wanted to solve this problem, become Stalin, tell the Allies to go obliterate Dresden just because I want to do it, just because I want to teach the Nazi Germans a lesson.
- 44:49You want to take out political military Islam that is now beginning to fuse with radical homosexual, pro-Palestinian, Antifa leftist.
- 45:03You want to take them all out at once?
- 45:06Go flatten and kill every single person you can in Iran and do exactly what you did in World War II.
- 45:13It's a horrible ugly thing to say, but there is a solution here.
- 45:17Otherwise, they're going to get a nuclear bomb and they're going to shut down the Strait of Hormones anyway.
- 45:23That the world has allowed a 21-mile opening to essentially be a global economic and life-giving choke point.
- 45:34Shame on the world.
- 45:45Right now, is because of the Shell Revolution, which began in 2007.
- 45:49There's there's a book.
- 45:51Oh, I can't remember it.
- 45:52It's it's a former former writer.
- 45:55Oh, Russell Gold, Russell Grove, Russell Gold, great work.
- 45:59Wrote a book called Boom about the fracking revolution.
- 46:03I based my master's thesis off his book, Mr.
- 46:06Gold, incredible book.
- 46:09You've done great work.
- 46:12The United States is an energy gigaper.
- 46:15I got that quote from Doomberg.
- 46:17The United States, we're now the number one in the world in oil and natural gas.
- 46:25We were told back in like the 2005-2006 State of the Union by then President George W.
- 46:31Bush, we had to go to a hydrogen and renewable economy because we had reached peak oil.
- 46:37Also, the people who talk about peak oil.
- 46:42There's a difference.
- 46:43If you make something so politically tough or put on so many regulations, it's not recoverable.
- 46:48Take all of that off, and the United States itself could supply the world with all the oil and natural gas it ever needed.
- 46:55New reports have come out that said it looks like California has more oil than even natural gas than Texas does.
- 47:02Both the coast off the United States each have between 10 to 16 billion barrels of oil.
- 47:07Well, wait a minute, we can't drill out there, but yet somehow Democrats and their democratic media allies said you can put a wind turbine out there, thousands of them off waters, but you can't put an oil platform.
- 47:22That's a political choice.
- 47:23That's an ideological Marxist Jezebel evil from the pit of hell choice.
- 47:31Folks, there are some big decisions to be made.
- 47:38Oh, well, we'll stop, we'll stop, we'll get peace with the Iranians.
- 47:41Oh, oh, if only the Jews, the Israelis, they run the United States.
- 47:46That's not what any of it's about.
- 47:50All of us need the oil and the natural gas that comes from the Middle East.
- 47:56Or you'll die.
- 47:58That's a fact.
- 48:01Do you realize about 20 million barrels of oil or Dr.
- 48:06Anaji?
- 48:0718 million, let's just call it 19 million barrels of oil, world consumes about 100 million barrels a day.
- 48:15Um a third of all global seaborne trade goes through there.
- 48:20Uh, 20% of all the LNG trade.
- 48:24But what about, oh, but wait a minute, insurance agencies caused it, and oh, the the U.S.
- 48:30and their Zionist partners caused it.
- 48:33Oh boy.
- 48:38What's the spread between Brent WTI and on and on?
- 48:43Oh, about what about crude and Brent?
- 48:45Oh, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 48:47But let me tell you something.
- 48:49Let's just take some other facts.
- 48:53Listen to the dependence that Asia.
- 48:56Remember, most of the world's semiconductors come from one place, Taiwan, and most of the world's electronics and a lot of technology come from what I'm about to talk about.
- 49:07Japan imports almost 90% of its oil through the Hormouse.
- 49:12South Korea, 75%, Taiwan, 70%, India, 50%, China, 35%, Thailand, 40%, Singapore, 35%, Indonesia, 30.
- 49:22The Chinese, it's stunning to me.
- 49:2730 to 35%, they've allowed this to take place.
- 49:33I understand the rest of these Western influence fools because they listen to Rachel Maddow and CNN.
- 49:39Oh, I don't want to, I want to decarbonize and I want to use electric vehicles.
- 49:42The Chinese could care less.
- 49:46Call me dumbfounded that the Chinese have allowed this to take place.
- 49:5490% of the oil exported through the Strait of Hormuz, according to international.
- 50:00Energy Agency is destined for Asian markets.
- 50:08China and India.
- 50:10Remember, these are Asia's largest energy consumers.
- 50:14Rely on this.
- 50:17Now the world is looking at two pipelines to save them.
- 50:22Two pipelines.
- 50:25Anybody want to think maybe you should build 200 pipelines?
- 50:30The first is Saudi Arabia's East West Pipeline Network with a design capacity of 7 million barrels per day connecting Abcock on the kingdom's eastern Gulf Coast to the port of Yanbu on the Red Sea.
- 50:43And the Houthis can shut that down.
- 50:46The second smaller pipeline is UAE's Abu Dhabi crude oil pipeline Tavajari, estimated to handle 1.5 million barrels per day.
- 50:56Do the math.
- 50:588.5 to 19 barrels, 20 million barrels, who everyone to believe.
- 51:03Taken together, energy analysts say, yep, great, you can offset a little bit of the 20 million.
- 51:10But what happens when the Iranians decide to attack that?
- 51:17I love this.
- 51:19Energy crisis reveal priorities with brutal clarity.
- 51:23I would tell you life and death clarity.
- 51:25When prices spike or supplies tighten governments do not turn to wind turbines or solar panels or electric vehicles or storage systems for emergency relief.
- 51:36They turn to stockpiled hydrocarbons.
- 51:39Across Asia, governments have already begun implementing conservation measures designed to reduce energy demand.
- 51:47Well, let me tell you what's even worse than all this is um fertilizers and plastic supply prices.
- 51:55Wait a minute, I thought we didn't need plastic anymore.
- 51:57No, you voted for Democrats foolishly in places like New York City with the fool who runs that place and the deeply evil Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass and the rest of the Democratic Party that knows that is turned into a bunch of radical Jacobins who want you to die.
- 52:20So let's just get some facts out here about food.
- 52:23If you if you first need some water, and the Iranians can bomb every single desalinization plant and thrust the entire Middle East to death within a week if they wanted to.
- 53:48Fertilizer production depends heavily on natural gas, and the Gulf possesses abundant gas supplies.
- 53:55The Middle East accounts for approximately 24% of global sulfur production and sulfur is the feedstock for sulfuric acid used across the nickel, copper, and fertilizer supply chains.
- 54:09Sulfuric acid is a key input in manufacturing phosphate fertilizers used worldwide, used worldwide.
- 54:27Because it's so obvious.
- 54:32Every environmentalist now, I don't believe a word you say.
- 54:37The Democratic Party is gone.
- 54:41You want to believe in global warming and climate change, go right ahead.
- 54:44You want to believe in an energy transition, net zero decarbonization, go right ahead.
- 54:59Go right ahead.
- 55:03Knock yourself out.
- 55:05Doesn't matter.
- 55:07Previous episode I said, do you think Israel was going to allow Iran to get a bomb?
- 55:13No.
- 55:15They'll use their own bombs on them.
- 55:17Okay.
- 55:18Do you think Iran was never going to use a bomb or shut down the Strait of Hormuz and begin to make themselves to recreate the Persian Empire again?
- 55:31These problems can be solved.
- 55:34They're just not, it's not something you want to think about.
- 55:37I would all of my listeners, please go listen.
- 55:40Um, everybody on this platform, go read, pardon me, go read Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut.
- 55:46It's awful, it's horrible, it's evil.
- 55:49Um, I have such deep empathy for that man for what he had to witness in Dresden.
- 55:54Ultimately, it's one of the reasons you broke the will of the Nazi, the Nazis.
- 56:00You had to, you had to burn them down.
- 56:04If you think you are going to um dissuade the military, the police forces, the RGC, the Ayatollahs, these are radical evil Islamists who only understand force.
- 56:21They don't care about gay rights, FEMA rights, religious imperialism, free speech.
- 56:28They could care less.
- 56:29They understand the economics and what I'm reading, and they understand the end of a barrel of a gun or brutality.
- 56:40That's all they understand.
- 56:42It's been a tough show today.
- 56:44It's been tough for me to talk about this.
- 56:46But my name is Todd Royal.
- 56:48I'm the host of Geopower, Energy, and Real Politics.
- 56:52I want to say thank you for listening and God bless.
