- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to Monday. It's Andy and Cole 97.1 Hank FM.
- 0:05Speaker 1: If your Monday is anything like our Mondays, we're both
- 0:07Speaker 1: in here like, oh, we're about to go live right now.
- 0:10Speaker 1: I'm trying to plug in my headphones. You're still talking
- 0:12Speaker 1: about bagels you dropped on the ground.
- 0:14Speaker 2: I think I looked at you and I said, okay,
- 0:17Speaker 2: I'm ready to go with. 30 seconds to spare. And
- 0:20Speaker 2: typically we're in here 15, 20, 30 minutes beforehand.
- 0:25Speaker 1: I've been in here that long. I just don't know
- 0:26Speaker 1: why I'm not ready.
- 0:27Speaker 2: I was toasting some like mini bagels this morning and
- 0:31Speaker 2: the toaster ate one of them and I spent way
- 0:34Speaker 2: too much time. Trying to get it out. And I
- 0:36Speaker 2: was looking at the clock. I was like, I'm going
- 0:37Speaker 2: to be late because of this mini bagel. At one point,
- 0:40Speaker 2: my hand was also stuck in the toaster because the
- 0:43Speaker 2: prongs had caught my wedding ring.
- 0:45Speaker 3: And I finally got this bagel out. And I dropped it.
- 0:50Speaker 4: No.
- 0:51Speaker 1: After all of that work.
- 0:52Speaker 2: After so much work, I dropped it and just threw
- 0:55Speaker 2: it away. And I was so mad. I even came
- 0:58Speaker 2: to work in flip flops this morning because.
- 1:00Speaker 3: I couldn't get my shoes untied. I walked in like,
- 1:04Speaker 3: I am a mess.
- 1:05Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Sorry, I'll get it together. But here's the good news.
- 1:08Speaker 1: We're a mess, but we got a lot of stuff
- 1:11Speaker 1: to give away. We've got $ 2, 000 in the New Country
- 1:14Speaker 1: Cash Jackpot. Have not had a winner in a couple
- 1:16Speaker 1: of days. We just keep adding $ 500 to the jackpot
- 1:19Speaker 1: until we get a winner.
- 1:21Speaker 2: $ 850.
- 1:21Speaker 1: We're going to tell you what time to win. Little
- 1:24Speaker 1: Big Town is coming to town. Marath Theater is going
- 1:28Speaker 1: to be there. We've got your tickets to win those today.
- 1:30Speaker 1: We've also got more Indie Scream Park Passes.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Well, those coming up around 635.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Going to name that scream. We've now expanded, by the way,
- 1:39Speaker 1: because I was like, you know what? We started with
- 1:42Speaker 1: just horror movies. Now it's just name that scream in
- 1:44Speaker 1: a movie.
- 1:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Oh, man, we have all kinds of stuff to win today,
- 1:47Speaker 3: don't we?
- 1:48Speaker 1: And then I'm seeing Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:51Speaker 1: We're going to give you away a lot of stuff.
- 1:55Speaker 4: $ 2, 000.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Keep that in mind. Annie and Cole, 97.1 Hank FM.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Shout out to everyone who stopped by our first Thanksgiving
- 2:02Speaker 1: ticket drop at Moondrop's Distillery this past weekend. Got your
- 2:05Speaker 1: passes in to the fun. They showed us what this
- 2:08Speaker 1: year's passes look like. They're pretty cool.
- 2:11Speaker 3: I'm excited for Thanksgiving coming up. A month away.
- 2:14Speaker 4: It is... Oh, my gosh.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It is exactly a month away.
- 2:17Speaker 3: It is exactly a month away. November 5th at Slippery
- 2:20Speaker 3: Noodle with the Pam Perry and Graylin James. And this
- 2:22Speaker 3: concert is free.
- 2:24Speaker 4: Yes.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Just got to get your tickets at one of our
- 2:26Speaker 2: ticket drops. And you can find the full schedule on
- 2:29Speaker 2: our website, HankFM.com. But got another one this Friday. Four
- 2:33Speaker 2: to six total wine and more in Nora.
- 2:36Speaker 4: They did what?
- 2:39Speaker 2: 26-year-old man in Georgia was arrested last week after... He
- 2:43Speaker 2: faked a medical emergency and called 911 to avoid paying
- 2:47Speaker 2: for his Red Lobster bill. He owed $ 63, but he
- 2:51Speaker 2: thought the illness would get him out of it. So
- 2:54Speaker 2: he's there at Red Lobster. He calls 911. They come
- 2:58Speaker 2: check him out. Checked over by first responders deemed to
- 3:02Speaker 2: be fine. So now he's just sitting there.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Too many Cheddar Bay biscuits. Is that what he called
- 3:11Speaker 1: 911 saying?
- 3:11Speaker 3: You know what I mean?
- 3:15Speaker 1: All in on spooky season Indy Scream Park. Four pack
- 3:20Speaker 1: of tickets up for grabs.
- 3:22Speaker 2: If you can name that scream this morning, 317-663-9797, you're
- 3:26Speaker 2: going to text your answer to us. We played all
- 3:30Speaker 2: last week. They were all scary movies last week. Your
- 3:33Speaker 2: hint this week is they might not be a scary movie.
- 3:36Speaker 4: Other than that, I'm in good shape.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I might have even cut the scream short a little bit.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I might have gone a little bit longer in the movie.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I have seen this movie so many times.
- 3:51Speaker 2: As soon as I heard his voice, like I can
- 3:55Speaker 2: picture the scene perfectly. 317-663-9797. Can you name that scream
- 4:00Speaker 2: this morning?
- 4:00Speaker 3: Other than that, I'm in good shape.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Sammy and Cole 97.1 Hank FM. We've got so much
- 4:16Speaker 1: to give away today. We've got to get started early,
- 4:18Speaker 1: like right now.
- 4:19Speaker 2: Kicking things off with a four-pack of tickets to Indie
- 4:22Speaker 2: Scream Park once again.
- 4:24Speaker 3: If you can name that scream this morning, check it out.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Other than that, I'm in good shape.
- 4:36Speaker 2: I was just saying off-air that I know that movie
- 4:40Speaker 2: is old.
- 4:41Speaker 4: And he is.
- 4:41Speaker 2: 40 or whatever he is probably older than both of
- 4:45Speaker 2: us is he really he might be my age to
- 4:47Speaker 2: me he is forever yeah like that kid in that
- 4:51Speaker 2: movie and that movie we were looking for this morning.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Home alone home.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Alone the answer congratulations to our winner getting a four
- 5:00Speaker 2: pack of tickets to indie screen park we'll play again
- 5:02Speaker 2: tomorrow around 6 35 another chance for you to win
- 5:05Speaker 2: I'm trying to look for his age real quick, but
- 5:07Speaker 2: I can't find it.
- 5:07Speaker 1: We've got Trans-Siberian Orchestra tickets coming up. We've got Little
- 5:10Speaker 1: Big Town passes on the way as well.
- 5:12Speaker 3: A lot of winning to get to. 46.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Annie and Cole. 97.1 Hank FM. Today, we're going.
- 5:23Speaker 3: To rank our favorite smells.
- 5:25Speaker 1: It feels weird to say that, right?
- 5:27Speaker 2: The reason why is I saw this list of the
- 5:30Speaker 2: best and worst smelling cities in America. Do you think Indianapolis,
- 5:36Speaker 2: now they did rank in either the top 10 or
- 5:38Speaker 2: the bottom 10.
- 5:40Speaker 3: They did fall in one of those categories.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Do you think it was one of the better smelling
- 5:44Speaker 2: cities or one of the worst smelling cities?
- 5:46Speaker 1: I don't think that Indy's that smelly. I would say
- 5:50Speaker 1: that we smell okay.
- 5:52Speaker 3: We came in at number 10 for the worst smell.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Smelling cities.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Your face told me it was going to be the
- 6:01Speaker 1: worst smelling city.
- 6:01Speaker 4: Yeah. I don't know.
- 6:03Speaker 1: It doesn't smell that bad here.
- 6:04Speaker 3: Here's what they base this off of.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Things like air quality, garbage disposal, green spaces, but also
- 6:12Speaker 2: bakeries and candle stores and perfumeries and florists and general cleanliness.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Indianapolis came in in the bottom 10.
- 6:20Speaker 3: You want to know what the best smelling city is?
- 6:22Speaker 4: I do.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Who smells good?
- 6:24Speaker 3: Boston.
- 6:25Speaker 1: No. Boston's built on a sewage dump.
- 6:28Speaker 3: I didn't notice it.
- 6:30Speaker 1: The water is so gross. They don't let you swim
- 6:32Speaker 1: in it in Boston.
- 6:33Speaker 3: I feel like that is true among a lot of
- 6:36Speaker 3: major cities, though.
- 6:37Speaker 1: So why is it listed at the top? It's gross.
- 6:40Speaker 3: Number two is Washington, D.C.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Gross.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Number three was San Francisco. Number four was Seattle.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Seattle.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Does Seattle make sense?
- 6:49Speaker 1: You like smelling fish?
- 6:50Speaker 3: That's exactly what I was thinking.
- 6:51Speaker 1: What are you doing here? Ew, all right.
- 6:53Speaker 3: I'm going to give you some time. Here, hold on
- 6:55Speaker 3: one more because you were just there. Philadelphia was number five.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Smelling good?
- 6:59Speaker 3: Smells good.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Smell of Philly cheesesteaks in the air?
- 7:02Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a good answer. I don't know.
- 7:05Speaker 1: We're going to give you a second.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Get together.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Your top four smells.
- 7:08Speaker 3: What are they?
- 7:09Speaker 4: Annie and Cole. 97.1 Hank FM.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I don't know why this makes me feel weird.
- 7:20Speaker 3: We're talking about your favorite smells this morning.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Indianapolis, according to data, I guess, one of the worst
- 7:28Speaker 2: smelling cities in America in the bottom 10.
- 7:31Speaker 1: So what do you think is a good smell? I
- 7:33Speaker 1: put together four smells. I'm going to get the weird
- 7:36Speaker 1: one out first.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Okay.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Because I only think it's weird because I don't have children.
- 7:41Speaker 1: If I had children, I feel like this is a
- 7:43Speaker 1: very common answer. Baby's head smells so good.
- 7:46Speaker 3: They do smell good. I don't think it's that strange.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I can't go around sniffing babies if I don't have one.
- 7:52Speaker 2: But it's a pretty common good smell that people talk about.
- 7:55Speaker 2: So I don't think it's that weird.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Number two, also in the kid realm, Play-Doh. I love
- 8:00Speaker 1: the way Play-Doh smells.
- 8:02Speaker 3: I can smell it now. Just you saying the word Play-Doh.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Three, dog paws.
- 8:07Speaker 3: They do smell good.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Smell like Cheetos. Coffee. I don't drink it, but I
- 8:11Speaker 1: love the way it smells.
- 8:12Speaker 3: These are all good answers. They're all kind of interesting things.
- 8:15Speaker 3: You don't have a child, but you like the smell
- 8:17Speaker 3: of babies. You don't drink coffee, but you like the
- 8:19Speaker 3: smell of coffee.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I love the smell of coffee.
- 8:21Speaker 3: I feel like mine are more traditional than yours. Okay.
- 8:23Speaker 4: All right.
- 8:24Speaker 1: I told you I was going to get a little weird. Sorry.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Movie theater popcorn. As soon as you walk into a
- 8:29Speaker 2: movie theater, smell of popcorn. Just a good pizza shop.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Yes.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Love that. The other one I have is my favorite
- 8:39Speaker 3: sports teams arenas.
- 8:40Speaker 2: I think they all have a distinct smell, whether it
- 8:42Speaker 2: is Luke Soil Stadium or Gainbridge Fieldhouse or whatever it is.
- 8:45Speaker 3: And as soon as you walk in, it's.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Sweat and beer.
- 8:48Speaker 3: I'm excited. More popcorn.
- 8:51Speaker 2: The last one I have for you is something new,
- 8:54Speaker 2: whether it's like electronic, shoes, car, they all smell great.
- 8:59Speaker 4: Be a part of the show. Call or text 317-663-9797.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Do you really want to know? Annie and Cole want
- 9:08Speaker 4: to know.
- 9:09Speaker 1: What is your idea of the perfect day? I feel
- 9:12Speaker 1: like I'm in the movie Miss Congeniality here. Name your
- 9:15Speaker 1: perfect date. april 20 whatever uh what is your favorite
- 9:19Speaker 1: kind of day though like what would make it absolutely
- 9:22Speaker 1: perfect because i used to have it in my mind
- 9:23Speaker 1: like what it would have to be and it always
- 9:25Speaker 1: included like a bunch of stuff right and then this
- 9:28Speaker 1: weekend my husband rob and i were camping in south
- 9:30Speaker 1: haven michigan and i think we had darn near the
- 9:35Speaker 1: perfect day all right i'm ready Started, we're camping. Love camping.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Fall camping, my favorite kind. This weekend, perfect camping weather.
- 9:44Speaker 1: We started by taking a morning walk on the beach
- 9:47Speaker 1: with the dogs.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Love that.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Then we put the dogs up and we went to
- 9:52Speaker 1: explore South Haven and we hit up a couple of
- 9:54Speaker 1: local breweries. I went to the distillery, had some amazing drinks.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Feeling pretty good. Get some pizza, head back to the campsite.
- 10:04Speaker 1: And then for sunset, we went back to the beach
- 10:07Speaker 1: and watched the most glorious sunset. Perfect day.
- 10:12Speaker 3: That's a good day.
- 10:13Speaker 4: It was great.
- 10:15Speaker 1: It was just lovely. Everything about it was lovely.
- 10:17Speaker 3: I think I am kind of like you.
- 10:19Speaker 2: And when I used to get this question when I
- 10:22Speaker 2: was younger, it would be stuffed full of as many
- 10:26Speaker 2: activities and things to do and people to see as
- 10:29Speaker 2: I could stuff into a day.
- 10:30Speaker 3: And now I think it really has slowed down a
- 10:33Speaker 3: little bit.
- 10:33Speaker 2: But I'm kind of like you that I want to
- 10:35Speaker 2: wake up and go for a walk with the family,
- 10:37Speaker 2: grab coffee and pastries. Maybe go see a movie, maybe
- 10:41Speaker 2: finish the night at a.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Brewery with some friends. It's gotten a lot more like
- 10:45Speaker 3: low key.
- 10:47Speaker 1: And I think that I'm falling more and more into
- 10:50Speaker 1: your belief that summer is overrated. I used to think
- 10:54Speaker 1: that it had to be like a summer day. And
- 10:56Speaker 1: now I'm like, no, I think 65 and sunny. What
- 11:00Speaker 1: we have this weekend.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Yeah, that's.
- 11:02Speaker 3: That's perfect for me. Was perfect.
- 11:04Speaker 1: So what is your perfect day?
- 11:07Speaker 4: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Every once in a while, you just run into that
- 11:10Speaker 1: perfect day. It wasn't planned. Everything about it just feels right.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So what would your perfect day include?
- 11:18Speaker 2: Dana on the Armory Air text line says, my perfect
- 11:21Speaker 2: day can go two different ways. A day spent with
- 11:23Speaker 2: the grandkids or a day with your man, the sand
- 11:26Speaker 2: and drinks, a tiki bar, always a bonus. I think
- 11:28Speaker 2: anytime you can put any of us around water, Yes.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Which is so funny because every time my husband's like,
- 11:35Speaker 1: you know what? You're real easy to please. I'm like,
- 11:36Speaker 1: then why don't you do it more often? He's like,
- 11:38Speaker 1: I just got to put you on some sort of
- 11:40Speaker 1: coast and we've got to take a walk. And I'm like, yeah,
- 11:42Speaker 1: it really isn't that hard. You want to throw in
- 11:45Speaker 1: like a local brewery or something?
- 11:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I'm a sucker for it. I don't care if that
- 11:50Speaker 1: makes me easy to please.
- 11:52Speaker 4: I follow. I like. I share. Annie and Cole on
- 11:56Speaker 4: Hank FM.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Every year we talk about this earlier and earlier. When
- 11:59Speaker 1: do you start shopping for Christmas?
- 12:02Speaker 3: After Thanksgiving, Black Friday, maybe I'll take a look.
- 12:06Speaker 1: The week before Christmas. But then every year we have
- 12:09Speaker 1: someone who's like, I started in the summer.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I know there are people who do that or it
- 12:16Speaker 2: always comes up. And then right as Thanksgiving's approaching, we'll
- 12:19Speaker 2: get a call or a text from somebody.
- 12:20Speaker 3: They're like, I'm already done.
- 12:22Speaker 1: How is always my response to that. 10 weeks away
- 12:27Speaker 1: from Christmas. And so this is now the time your
- 12:31Speaker 1: kids should start making their holiday wish list.
- 12:34Speaker 4: What? Why?
- 12:35Speaker 1: It saves money because you can start looking for deals.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I think our deal days starting today, all the make-believe
- 12:42Speaker 1: thing that they're doing now, one of them starts and
- 12:44Speaker 1: they all have deal days of some sort. Amazon, Walmart,
- 12:48Speaker 1: they're all doing it.
- 12:48Speaker 3: What is the difference between Prime Day and deal days?
- 12:50Speaker 1: I don't know, but that's where we're at. I think
- 12:53Speaker 1: now we're getting into it this week. Helps you stay
- 12:56Speaker 1: within budget. If you're going to order something, then for
- 12:59Speaker 1: sure you're going to have it. Simplifies you having to
- 13:02Speaker 1: rush around last minute. I get all that. Also, though,
- 13:05Speaker 1: my problem is I like to return things. And so
- 13:08Speaker 1: if I buy them this early and I don't give
- 13:10Speaker 1: them to Christmas, what if somebody needs to return something? Like,
- 13:13Speaker 1: are you out of the return window? Is how I
- 13:16Speaker 1: always think about it. Because what if somebody doesn't? I mean,
- 13:19Speaker 1: I know you like to think of yourself as the
- 13:20Speaker 1: ultimate gift giver. But what if they don't like your gift?
- 13:23Speaker 1: Or what if you get more than one of them? Or,
- 13:24Speaker 1: you know, like something like that. Like, I don't know.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Annie and Cole. Weekday mornings 6 to 10 on 97.1
- 13:30Speaker 4: Hank FM.
