- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Oh, it's the ex pole it is. And
- 0:03Speaker 1: what's the question, specifically, Gina, I just what's.
- 0:06Speaker 2: The who's the worst person you ever worked with? Again?
- 0:09Speaker 3: No names, and that's not just the person, but we
- 0:12Speaker 3: don't need business names either.
- 0:14Speaker 1: The worst person I ever worked I really, I really can't.
- 0:19Speaker 1: I couldn't. I can't, I can't. I couldn't say in
- 0:24Speaker 1: this room. I couldn't say it in this room. No,
- 0:27Speaker 1: I mean really, to be honest, I thought about it,
- 0:30Speaker 1: and uh, I guess it would be some directors and
- 0:36Speaker 1: acting teachers I had, Oh really in the theater that
- 0:39Speaker 1: treated you poorly, Yeah, and treated other people poorly. They
- 0:45Speaker 1: you know, teaching acting, it's a really personal thing and
- 0:48Speaker 1: they kind of dig around in your personal lives. And
- 0:52Speaker 1: some of them, a couple of people were they pushed
- 0:55Speaker 1: that way too far and I didn't care for them.
- 0:58Speaker 1: I didn't like working with them.
- 1:01Speaker 4: There was a general manager that I worked for at
- 1:05Speaker 4: one of my first jobs, country radio station, and the
- 1:11Speaker 4: station was going through some slight success. It was starting
- 1:15Speaker 4: to make some money. I was working overnights and there
- 1:20Speaker 4: was a staff meeting in One of the jocks, Dave
- 1:24Speaker 4: lu Cow was his name, Pretty smart dude. I looked
- 1:29Speaker 4: at this general manager, Peter Shermeier is his name, and said, okay, well,
- 1:33Speaker 4: now that the station is having a little bit of success,
- 1:36Speaker 4: as you have just told us, how about you know,
- 1:40Speaker 4: a little bit of money.
- 1:41Speaker 2: For the rest of us. It seems like a reasonable.
- 1:45Speaker 1: Well and what did he say?
- 1:47Speaker 4: Peter looked at Dave and said, well, I do that,
- 1:50Speaker 4: but all you do is increase your standard of living.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I don't want you to do that, at which point.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Luke cow looked at him and said, yeah, my kids
- 1:59Speaker 4: would have real milk instead of powdered milk.
- 2:01Speaker 1: How about that?
- 2:01Speaker 4: Wow, But that guy wasn't the worst person that I
- 2:06Speaker 4: have worked No, that's just a story that I can recall.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Right now, you know, we can be here all day.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I thought about my radio experience, and we all worked
- 2:13Speaker 1: for one guy. That was pretty much that we all
- 2:17Speaker 1: worked for, the one guy.
- 2:18Speaker 2: You can't you can't say what I used to call him.
- 2:20Speaker 2: It's not radio the ale from Lasso.
- 2:24Speaker 1: Oh no, that's not who I'm thinking. Oh no, no,
- 2:27Speaker 1: oh no, no, no, I can't. I can't say okay,
- 2:32Speaker 1: all right, let's go to the phone.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Let's go to the phone.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Instead of us sitting here airing our grievances. We'll let
- 2:38Speaker 4: you so again. It's the ex pole, Chris. Keep names
- 2:43Speaker 4: out of it and business names out of it, all right,
- 2:45Speaker 4: So just keep it as vague as possible.
- 2:47Speaker 1: The worst person you ever worked for, Chris.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Like Carrie, I've had quite a few that I could
- 2:53Speaker 5: just go on and on, and those people are terrible.
- 2:57Speaker 5: But I went to work for a moving company one
- 2:59Speaker 5: summer her and I ended up getting paired up with
- 3:02Speaker 5: a Satan worshiper.
- 3:05Speaker 4: Now, all the worshipers I've ever better good people.
- 3:08Speaker 2: How did you know this person was a Satan worshiper?
- 3:11Speaker 5: How do you think because they enjoyed telling people a
- 3:15Speaker 5: Satan worshiper. Yeah, but he also smoked in the cab
- 3:20Speaker 5: where he was not supposed to. And we had a
- 3:23Speaker 5: day where we were on our way to a work
- 3:25Speaker 5: site and we stopped at a gas station to fill up.
- 3:28Speaker 5: He was the first person back to the truck after
- 3:31Speaker 5: getting snacks and touch he was telling me, you check
- 3:34Speaker 5: it out. There's this lady in this jeep over here,
- 3:37Speaker 5: and he just wouldn't leave her alone. When we went
- 3:41Speaker 5: to leave that place, whoever was driving the jeep tried
- 3:45Speaker 5: to stay on the opposite side of the pumps from him,
- 3:48Speaker 5: and he got mad and went, whatever sak gonna find
- 3:51Speaker 5: her and rape her?
- 3:52Speaker 1: Oh, and nobody.
- 3:54Speaker 5: Said a thing.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Well, it's you know, some Satan worshipers special privilege.
- 4:01Speaker 2: There's there's bad ones in every We'll see you later. Thanks,
- 4:05Speaker 2: Thanks Chris. All right, Rob, keep it, keep the names
- 4:09Speaker 2: out of it, Rob, go ahead.
- 4:11Speaker 1: All right.
- 4:12Speaker 6: So back around twenty eighteen, I co owned a pizza
- 4:15Speaker 6: place down Utah, you took county, okay. I had an employee.
- 4:21Speaker 6: He was a delivery driver, young young guy, and come
- 4:27Speaker 6: to find out, he was getting so high while driving
- 4:30Speaker 6: around delivering pizzas he was handing the customers a lighter
- 4:35Speaker 6: instead of a pen to sign the receipts for Wow,
- 4:40Speaker 6: I found Okay, here's how I found this out right,
- 4:42Speaker 6: he posted it on Twitter that he did it, So
- 4:47Speaker 6: that's how I found out.
- 4:48Speaker 7: And then you don't let him go.
- 4:49Speaker 6: And he also got arrested for selling weed in front
- 4:51Speaker 6: of the store.
- 4:52Speaker 2: So there he did your favor by y.
- 4:54Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly, exactly, Thank you, Rob, Thank you.
- 4:58Speaker 8: You're welcome. Guys, have a good one.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Go to Mike in Nashville, and then we'll take a break, Mike,
- 5:03Speaker 2: go ahead.
- 5:04Speaker 1: Good morning.
- 5:05Speaker 9: So when I was in high school back in Utah,
- 5:07Speaker 9: I worked at you know, local fast food place like
- 5:10Speaker 9: almost everybody does. Our assistant manager he was he was great.
- 5:14Speaker 9: I mean he did he did everything by the book
- 5:16Speaker 9: and everything. But when we would close the store every night,
- 5:19Speaker 9: he would play insane clown posse every night. And I
- 5:23Speaker 9: blame him for me knowing all the words from a
- 5:26Speaker 9: great Malanco album.
- 5:28Speaker 1: It's magnets.
- 5:29Speaker 2: How do they work?
- 5:30Speaker 1: Yeah? That would be pretty bad. That would be pretty bad.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Thank you, Mike. All right, Mike, Well, the ex poole continues.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Uh just tell us the worst person you ever had
- 5:40Speaker 1: to work with.
- 5:41Speaker 3: No names, please, name of person or business We don't
- 5:45Speaker 3: I don't need that exactly.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Let's begin with uh a non hello anonymous.
- 5:53Speaker 8: I guess that's me.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you go ahead.
- 5:56Speaker 6: All right, Okay.
- 5:58Speaker 10: So I used to work at.
- 6:02Speaker 5: A big box I used to work.
- 6:03Speaker 11: At a big box hardware store, improvement store at their
- 6:10Speaker 11: pro desk, if you will, And the guy in charge
- 6:17Speaker 11: of the lumber department, twenty one year old kid doesn't
- 6:23Speaker 11: know anything about construction, would give customers the most erroneous,
- 6:28Speaker 11: just made up information.
- 6:31Speaker 8: He was just full of species, if you will. So
- 6:38Speaker 8: we ended up calling him honey bucket behind his back
- 6:45Speaker 8: and eventually to his face.
- 6:47Speaker 11: He never got it because he's never been on a
- 6:49Speaker 11: construction job in his life.
- 6:51Speaker 2: No, he didn't know what you were saying.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Did he finally get fired?
- 6:55Speaker 8: No?
- 6:57Speaker 10: Well there you he's still there as far as I know. Great,
- 7:02Speaker 10: So just don't go there.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Okay, all right till Katie off the air. What it is?
- 7:06Speaker 1: So we won't go there? All right, see you later,
- 7:08Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Let's go to Jenny. Hi, Jenny, keep it anonymous.
- 7:13Speaker 8: Please?
- 7:13Speaker 1: Are you right good? What? What's your story? Yeah?
- 7:17Speaker 12: So I worked at an office and we had a
- 7:21Speaker 12: manager who started to implement l Ron Hubbard's business model
- 7:28Speaker 12: the hell Yeah, and he hired she hired a coach
- 7:34Speaker 12: that she spent tens of thousands of dollars song and
- 7:39Speaker 12: it was basically this intro trying to get.
- 7:42Speaker 7: Us all to become scientologist.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Wow, oh wow, wow, that's pretty bad.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Thank you, Jenny, Thanks.
- 7:50Speaker 13: Wow, Yeah, thanks letting me listen.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Eight seven seven six oh two nine six nine six
- 7:57Speaker 4: is the number to call to participate in the ex pole.
- 7:59Speaker 2: To tell us about the.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Worst person you've ever had to work with. Let's go
- 8:04Speaker 4: to Tim and the tree guy.
- 8:05Speaker 14: Hi, Tim, good morning. How are we right? Go ahead, Well,
- 8:12Speaker 14: I got a couple of them, but they're both dead,
- 8:15Speaker 14: so I can use name. Well, they have family, okay. Well,
- 8:22Speaker 14: one guy was that there were old climbers that when
- 8:24Speaker 14: I first started out, they were the guys that were
- 8:26Speaker 14: supposed to be training me.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:29Speaker 14: And one guy dropped the log that was about six
- 8:33Speaker 14: feet long and probably eighteen inches in diameter through a
- 8:37Speaker 14: roof and is up being the people's coffee table, and
- 8:42Speaker 14: I'm not kidding. It landed right, smashed the coffee table.
- 8:46Speaker 14: And all he did was said, got out of the
- 8:48Speaker 14: tree and said pack it up.
- 8:49Speaker 10: We're out of here now.
- 8:53Speaker 14: And another guy, I'm trimming one tree and he's in
- 8:58Speaker 14: the other tree next to me, and we're up close
- 9:00Speaker 14: to this house. Yeah, that he cut this limb. He
- 9:05Speaker 14: cut this limb that was about eight inches in diameter
- 9:09Speaker 14: and about thirty feet long and just hit the house,
- 9:11Speaker 14: ripped the cutter off and everything, and I'm like, what
- 9:14Speaker 14: was that? And he's like, oh, I thought I could
- 9:15Speaker 14: bounce it off the house.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Though I could bounce it, so good good plan.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, I thought I could all right, Thank you, Tim.
- 9:25Speaker 2: Thanks Tim.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Let's see an MLM junkie talked me into her latest scam.
- 9:32Speaker 4: In working and traveling together, I had a front, front
- 9:34Speaker 4: row seat. Is how little she thought of her husband,
- 9:37Speaker 4: kids and friends. It was disgusting. She's divorced now. But
- 9:41Speaker 4: of course this is the answer that will be tough
- 9:44Speaker 4: to be. I work with the Utah legislature.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Pick one. That's it. There you go, I go.
- 9:51Speaker 4: You've got Shane Shane is there, Hi, Shane, keep it
- 9:54Speaker 4: his out, keep it anonymous.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead, okay, okay.
- 10:00Speaker 10: So I back when I was in my early twenties,
- 10:02Speaker 10: I worked for a large local furniture and appliance feeler.
- 10:06Speaker 10: We probably all know who it is anyway, So I
- 10:10Speaker 10: had to I had to work a week on delivery
- 10:13Speaker 10: because somebody was out on vacation, and I worked with
- 10:15Speaker 10: this driver who anyway it was. It was after our
- 10:19Speaker 10: last delivery of the day. We were driving back to
- 10:22Speaker 10: the warehouse and we just so we were passing in
- 10:24Speaker 10: elementary school. This guy started just going off about how
- 10:30Speaker 10: hot he thought all these elementary school age Oh and
- 10:36Speaker 10: so I know I stopped him.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Good, I mean good good.
- 10:41Speaker 10: Yeah, And I said, these are these are young girls.
- 10:43Speaker 10: You stick s ob you know, and said, you know,
- 10:46Speaker 10: oh I'm and he goes, oh, I'm just I'm just looking.
- 10:49Speaker 10: I'm not touching.
- 10:50Speaker 8: Ah.
- 10:51Speaker 10: Yeah, you speak one more word and I'm going to
- 10:55Speaker 10: beat the living cusscuss cuss at you right here in
- 10:58Speaker 10: the truck. And anyway, he shut his mouth the rest
- 11:02Speaker 10: of the way back and didn't look at me one
- 11:03Speaker 10: more time. So I get back to work and I
- 11:06Speaker 10: go straight to my boss and tell him everything that
- 11:09Speaker 10: was that he said in the track, and I said,
- 11:11Speaker 10: I do not want to work with this guy. I'm
- 11:13Speaker 10: gonna quit if I ever have to see this guy again. Luckily,
- 11:16Speaker 10: the guy that day he parked his truck, clocked out
- 11:19Speaker 10: and never came back to work. I never had to
- 11:21Speaker 10: see him again. But probably the worst person I ever
- 11:25Speaker 10: had to work for.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Thanks, Let's go to Christine. Hello Christina, Christina, Hi, good
- 11:34Speaker 2: morning NY.
- 11:37Speaker 13: So I worked for a lady. She was like, she
- 11:41Speaker 13: said that she's gonna purposely pay me under the table
- 11:45Speaker 13: so I can qualify for assistance because I was a
- 11:49Speaker 13: single mom. And I'm like, I don't understand the logic
- 11:54Speaker 13: behind that, because don't you want to raise people up
- 11:59Speaker 13: and pay your employees and make sure that they have
- 12:03Speaker 13: enough money to support themselves. And instead she was just like,
- 12:08Speaker 13: we're going to pay you under the table to make
- 12:10Speaker 13: sure that you just barely get by in life.
- 12:15Speaker 2: That makes I hope you didn't work there very long.
- 12:20Speaker 13: I didn't. I lasted one full day and then I
- 12:23Speaker 13: was done.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I'm like, did you did you get under the table
- 12:26Speaker 1: to get your your one day's worth of pay?
- 12:31Speaker 8: I didn't.
- 12:32Speaker 13: I did get to use her very nice restroom at
- 12:35Speaker 13: her very nice house in Harriman, and that was it.
- 12:39Speaker 1: All right, thanks, all right, thank you very much. I've
- 12:42Speaker 1: I've worked jobs that they paid me under the table,
- 12:46Speaker 1: off the record.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Off the record, all right, thank you. Let's go to
- 12:50Speaker 2: miss miss miss d hellos D.
- 12:53Speaker 1: What's your story? Hell so hi, I.
- 12:58Speaker 7: Worked for a pre K school that you know you
- 13:02Speaker 7: have to pay for and during COVID. During COVID, I
- 13:05Speaker 7: was the last one hired, so the first one laid off.
- 13:09Speaker 7: No go through the process getting unemployment. And then she
- 13:14Speaker 7: called unemployment to say that I got quote fired, so
- 13:17Speaker 7: I wouldn't get unemployment because she hadn't paid her unemployment
- 13:20Speaker 7: dues for fifteen years.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Oh well, there you go.
- 13:24Speaker 2: That's bad.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Yeah, she probably called to say that you were that
- 13:28Speaker 1: you quit, because if you quit, you don't it's harder
- 13:32Speaker 1: to qualify exactly if you can. I think you can,
- 13:35Speaker 1: but it takes. So she probably said that you quit.
- 13:39Speaker 1: If you're fired, you can get benefits immediately.
- 13:42Speaker 7: So there was Yeah, it was a whole lawsuit and everything.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you.
- 13:48Speaker 2: You're in a better place now, yep. Absolutely, Oh good.
- 13:53Speaker 1: I'm good. Thank you. All right, great day, Sea. Let's see.
- 13:58Speaker 4: Here's how an employer who made people tell their most
- 14:02Speaker 4: embarrassing story on their first day, sexual or potty humor, encourage, encourage,
- 14:10Speaker 4: and then proceeded to give you a nickname based on
- 14:12Speaker 4: that for your tenure.
- 14:13Speaker 11: That's horrible.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Wow, what was your nickname? That's what I want to know?
- 14:21Speaker 2: All right, you want to hear mine question?
- 14:23Speaker 6: Sure?
- 14:25Speaker 3: When I quit the job, I was working to go
- 14:29Speaker 3: work full time at the radio station. My boss said
- 14:34Speaker 3: you can't quit and I said why and he said
- 14:37Speaker 3: because I love you? And I said, that's even more
- 14:42Speaker 3: reason why I can't work here.
- 14:44Speaker 1: I mean he meant that.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it was super creepy.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Wow. Did you have any idea that he loved me?
- 14:51Speaker 2: I mean, no, it was wow, awkward.
- 14:55Speaker 1: You can't quit because I love you? That's kind of
- 14:59Speaker 1: a CA.
- 15:00Speaker 2: No it's not, but come on, horrible.
- 15:04Speaker 3: I love you, Yeah, but not like that, Like this
- 15:07Speaker 3: was not like that.
- 15:08Speaker 2: This was like no, no, different, all right,
