- 0:00Speaker 1: The innocence of youth, A fine wine, love, the good
- 0:05Speaker 1: things in life.
- 0:06Speaker 2: One more thing on?
- 0:14Speaker 1: Yeah, orchanic clean enough sound fridge, The innocence of youth, Yeah,
- 0:20Speaker 1: a fine wine.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Yes, and love and love.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Those are your three.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I love love. I'm a lover of love. Yes, it
- 0:29Speaker 2: is oddly uplifting. Yeah, we'll see how it goes.
- 0:33Speaker 1: We're cleaning it out, sound fridge. It's like, what was that?
- 0:39Speaker 1: I was about a half step off there. I don't
- 0:42Speaker 1: have perfect pitch. I'm freaked out by people who have
- 0:45Speaker 1: perfect pitch. You know what perfect pitch is.
- 0:47Speaker 2: Katie, No, I'm not sure.
- 0:50Speaker 1: It's like you would say to somebody singing a flat
- 0:53Speaker 1: and they would go, oh, and they would that would
- 0:56Speaker 1: be an a flat.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Yeah, that's just a different kind of crazy, right, Yeah,
- 1:01Speaker 3: it has to be a Jack.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Yeah, your brain works differently than most people.
- 1:04Speaker 3: I saw the other day. Jack Black has perfect pitch.
- 1:07Speaker 2: I got the opposite of that. Whatever it is.
- 1:09Speaker 1: I can hear like a guitar lick and go to
- 1:12Speaker 1: the fretboard and like did that note go up or down?
- 1:14Speaker 2: And I have to try. I'm bad at it, terrible anyway.
- 1:17Speaker 1: Yeah, so clean out the sound fridge.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Michael, would you like to introduce clip number ten. Yeah,
- 1:24Speaker 2: it was. Yeah.
- 1:26Speaker 4: This guy takes his son and his young son to
- 1:28Speaker 4: a trampoline park and he posts his video to thank
- 1:32Speaker 4: teenagers that played with his son. This is just a
- 1:34Speaker 4: nice feel good clip for once.
- 1:36Speaker 5: So here we go.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I'll be the judge of that.
- 1:38Speaker 5: If you live in Billings, Montana and your teenage sons
- 1:41Speaker 5: were at get Air yesterday, you should be really proud
- 1:43Speaker 5: of them. They're awesome. I don't even know how it happened.
- 1:46Speaker 5: They started jumping with my kids and he just went
- 1:49Speaker 5: with it, and every time they made sure to catch
- 1:51Speaker 5: him if he was going to fall. They had the
- 1:53Speaker 5: best time. They were cracking up the whole time, helping
- 1:56Speaker 5: him bounce higher. It was amazing. Those boys did not
- 2:00Speaker 5: have to entertain my kid. This is the kind of
- 2:03Speaker 5: people that we need to be raising more of. So
- 2:05Speaker 5: if the two boys that were jumping with my kids
- 2:07Speaker 5: see this.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Thank you. Two points Number one, that's sweet. Number two.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Why does everything have to have music in the background.
- 2:14Speaker 6: It is a producer's worst nightmare, I will tell you that, Michael.
- 2:18Speaker 6: Can you sympathize with that?
- 2:19Speaker 2: Absolutely? Yeah.
- 2:21Speaker 3: I like that story, and I've had that experience, and
- 2:25Speaker 3: it's nice. I've also had the opposite experience at one
- 2:27Speaker 3: of those places. I remember when Sam was probably four
- 2:32Speaker 3: and is that one of those jumpatoriums, and he wanted
- 2:34Speaker 3: to play dodgeball and these kids that were like fifteen.
- 2:38Speaker 3: He would go out through play dodgeball and they'd just
- 2:39Speaker 3: blast him with the ball and he'd be out wow.
- 2:43Speaker 3: And I was like, dude, do you get any enjoyment
- 2:45Speaker 3: out of that?
- 2:48Speaker 2: That's so weak?
- 2:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it is freaking week to go out there
- 2:52Speaker 1: with a baseball play a little dodge this. Huh now
- 2:56Speaker 1: you got a concussion?
- 2:57Speaker 2: Who's laughing?
- 2:58Speaker 1: Now?
- 2:58Speaker 2: Uh? Why are you tough?
- 3:01Speaker 3: This is a podcast we can call Joe beating down children. Yes,
- 3:06Speaker 3: that deserves justin just in my imagination. So mad, I understandably.
- 3:12Speaker 3: So I said to something to one of the kids.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I said that, I said, you can lot of enjoyment
- 3:16Speaker 3: out of that taking out a four year old?
- 3:19Speaker 2: What the hell is that?
- 3:20Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 3:20Speaker 6: Real tough guy.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Wow, that's so weak. Better move on.
- 3:24Speaker 1: See I told you didn't I you said, oh, this
- 3:28Speaker 1: is sweet and this is yeah. We'll see, let's see
- 3:34Speaker 1: how Jack can bring anger to this one. I said, no,
- 3:37Speaker 1: I kid, I'm half surprised you restrained yourself as much
- 3:41Speaker 1: as you did.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I was so mad.
- 3:43Speaker 3: It was one of those deals where Sam was so
- 3:45Speaker 3: upset because he really wanted to play dodgeball and he
- 3:48Speaker 3: was like half crying, and I just I need to
- 3:50Speaker 3: attend to his feelings, not take you know, not because
- 3:54Speaker 3: I did this. It's funny earlier in my uh career
- 3:57Speaker 3: of being a parent, I ended up making it about
- 4:00Speaker 3: the person, and the kid was all upset and they
- 4:03Speaker 3: didn't get the attention they needed. I learned that lesson once.
- 4:08Speaker 3: I'm not gonna win the battle against dickheads in the world,
- 4:12Speaker 3: not all of them.
- 4:13Speaker 2: There are too many.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yeah, Michael, does twelve need any introduction?
- 4:18Speaker 4: Yeah. In England, they have a marathon that is a
- 4:21Speaker 4: wine tasting marathon, and so you run a mile and
- 4:25Speaker 4: then you taste the wine and then you have to
- 4:27Speaker 4: identify it, and then you go another mile, another wine,
- 4:30Speaker 4: and it just goes on and on, and so every
- 4:31Speaker 4: mile you're tasting wine.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I ran back when I used to run regularly a
- 4:36Speaker 3: lot of like half marathons and marathons, they have beer stops,
- 4:40Speaker 3: and man, even as a guy who drank a lot
- 4:42Speaker 3: of beer, I never could understand how you do that.
- 4:45Speaker 2: That's not the worst idea.
- 4:46Speaker 6: Of drinking and running.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Oh no, thanks?
- 4:50Speaker 1: Well, and okay, so I'm getting a wine buzz then
- 4:53Speaker 1: running it off immediately, I'm here for the buzz man.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Well, I just physically could not do it. I don't
- 4:59Speaker 3: see how I could stop and drink a beer and
- 5:01Speaker 3: then start running again.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Listen here and Michael, it's London Marathon. They we're starting
- 5:06Speaker 2: with a red We're doing twenty six.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Wines one per mile from.
- 5:11Speaker 6: Burgundy two eighty.
- 5:12Speaker 5: If that's not a barodo fine me owns a new old,
- 5:15Speaker 5: quite frusy little better sugar jam sheets.
- 5:19Speaker 6: Sure.
- 5:19Speaker 7: As Australia, how about rush dead on my.
- 5:22Speaker 1: Twenty twenty three?
- 5:24Speaker 2: I think I think it could not a forg.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I get doing the one thing and I get doing
- 5:33Speaker 1: the other thing.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I just don't get doing them together.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Did he call one of those wines jam shit?
- 5:39Speaker 1: I think he may, and then said, as from Australia.
- 5:43Speaker 6: Okay, and I could understand like maybe a five k,
- 5:46Speaker 6: but twenty six miles of this no.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Just it's I.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Anybody who could complete it has my eternal admiration or
- 5:57Speaker 1: curiosity or something.
- 5:58Speaker 2: I don't wouldn't be me. And again, why.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Okay, I have a contest where you wash cars. In
- 6:05Speaker 3: every third car you play a piano concerto.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Wow, sounds great.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I don't get it all right now, this is a
- 6:13Speaker 1: story of a woman telling the story of how she
- 6:15Speaker 1: met her fiance.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Doesn't eating anything more than that, Michael.
- 6:19Speaker 4: No, just know that they are now getting married next year.
- 6:21Speaker 2: So we go.
- 6:23Speaker 7: I happened to have like a ping on my phone
- 6:26Speaker 7: from Grubhub that I had a coupon. I was like,
- 6:29Speaker 7: I love good coupon.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Yes, I saw that.
- 6:31Speaker 7: It was like fast approaching. I was like, perfect, they're
- 6:33Speaker 7: going to drop it off in the lobby. I look grubby,
- 6:36Speaker 7: and then this number calls me. I was like, oh no,
- 6:39Speaker 7: it's the Grubhub guy. He wants me to go down
- 6:41Speaker 7: there and get my food. So I went down. I'm
- 6:43Speaker 7: walking down the stairs and I see him. I was like,
- 6:46Speaker 7: oh no, he's cute. He's so cute, and I was
- 6:50Speaker 7: not cute. And I had this number on me, so
- 6:52Speaker 7: I was like, maybe I should text this number, Like
- 6:54Speaker 7: what's the worst thing that can happen if if he
- 6:56Speaker 7: already has a girlfriend or he's like non interested. I'm
- 6:59Speaker 7: never gonna see him.
- 7:01Speaker 2: So what happened?
- 7:02Speaker 1: I didn't completely So the grub hub dude was cute,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and she texted him and said, you want to go
- 7:07Speaker 1: out sometime.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Yep, And now they're getting married all because he's getting
- 7:11Speaker 4: food delivery.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Oh well, okay, so they're getting married. That's very nice.
- 7:14Speaker 3: I do relate to the when you're single. I don't
- 7:17Speaker 3: know if you ever had this, Katie, but if you're single,
- 7:19Speaker 3: you really shouldn't ever leave your house unpresentable. It's just
- 7:24Speaker 3: because you never know what's going to happen, the grocery store,
- 7:29Speaker 3: the whatever. Just yeah, I don't live that life.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I don't live that life at well, you're married that though.
- 7:39Speaker 6: I'm not putting makeup on to go to Safeway, uh
- 7:42Speaker 6: huh no, especially if it's a quick trip. But this,
- 7:48Speaker 6: I don't know if I buy this story because the
- 7:52Speaker 6: number provided to you through delivery services is a mock
- 7:56Speaker 6: number through the app. So how did she get a
- 8:00Speaker 6: hold of him? I'm getting conspiracy.
- 8:02Speaker 3: You can contact him. I contact a door dash guy sometimes,
- 8:06Speaker 3: like after an order something happened, like if I wouldn't
- 8:09Speaker 3: do this, but if it was a female I wanted
- 8:11Speaker 3: to hit on, that would be weird, but I could
- 8:13Speaker 3: text them.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yeah, but when I think she said that that he
- 8:18Speaker 1: needed her to come downstairs to pick it up, so
- 8:20Speaker 1: he reached out to her, I don't.
- 8:21Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 8:22Speaker 3: However, it still could be phony. Ninety percent of these
- 8:25Speaker 3: things are phony. They're just ways to go viral. I
- 8:28Speaker 3: think I would agree.
- 8:30Speaker 1: I'm not sure this one is because she was so like,
- 8:32Speaker 1: not good at it. It seems sincere to me. Katie's
- 8:35Speaker 1: still making a conspiracy face. But I will tell you this, women,
- 8:39Speaker 1: because of the patriarchy or something.
- 8:42Speaker 2: With gals, there's a greater range.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Between I'm all dolled up and I just woke up
- 8:52Speaker 1: from a nap, and you know, with dudes, I mean
- 8:57Speaker 1: there's the difference, but it's a fairly narrow band, all right,
- 9:02Speaker 1: I look like me just a little tussled, whereas gals. Again,
- 9:05Speaker 1: because of the patriarchy, I can see that being more
- 9:08Speaker 1: important for women.
- 9:09Speaker 2: But I don't know.
- 9:09Speaker 6: You're no, You're right though, because there are like four
- 9:12Speaker 6: or five different stages of being quote unquote dulled up.
- 9:15Speaker 6: I mean there's like, you know, you put on just
- 9:17Speaker 6: a little tiny bit of makeup to your hair's curled
- 9:19Speaker 6: and fake lashes, So, yeah, you're right.
- 9:22Speaker 1: On the other hand, women have the advantage of as
- 9:26Speaker 1: a guy, you gotta be reasonably good looking, make a
- 9:28Speaker 1: good impression, maybe since you humor blah blah blah. Whereas
- 9:30Speaker 1: a woman, maybe she looks like hell, she's been sick
- 9:33Speaker 1: in bed with a flu for three days, hasn't even
- 9:35Speaker 1: taken a shower, much less of makeup. She comes out
- 9:38Speaker 1: and says to the guy, it's conceivable at some point
- 9:41Speaker 1: in the future I would have sex with you.
- 9:43Speaker 2: He'd think that's worth going out once.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Well, there's also the you know, uh on a phrase
- 9:50Speaker 3: this in a way that is not doesn't sound mean,
- 9:52Speaker 3: because I'm not trying to be at all, but like,
- 9:54Speaker 3: because you do have the whole hair, make up, all
- 9:56Speaker 3: that different sort of stuff. You can go from six
- 10:00Speaker 3: to eight or seven to nine or four to whatever.
- 10:03Speaker 2: And guys are kind of stuck where they are. You
- 10:05Speaker 2: can't move much.
- 10:08Speaker 6: Oh yeah, there are whole social media networks out there
- 10:12Speaker 6: of women that have made a living off of transforming
- 10:15Speaker 6: themselves from like a four to a nine.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I have seen those.
- 10:18Speaker 3: I've seen those with the sped up thing. Oh yeah,
- 10:21Speaker 3: it's weird, amazing and a little frightening.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Yeah, imagine with dudes.
- 10:26Speaker 6: Yeah right, Well, imagine waking up the next day, you
- 10:29Speaker 6: pick up one thing at the club the night before,
- 10:31Speaker 6: and then you know, next morning, skeletors laying there.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Would have to imagine it, Katie. It has never happened
- 10:37Speaker 3: to me, so I would only have to picture what
- 10:40Speaker 3: it must be like.
- 10:43Speaker 2: Fictional one to be in that situation, thoughts and prayers.
- 10:48Speaker 1: One of my favorite features from Stupid used to be
- 10:51Speaker 1: magazines now stupid websites is a celebrity women in the
- 10:57Speaker 1: grocery store without their makeup or whatever. These some sexpots,
- 11:01Speaker 1: famous movie stars who just look like a plane Jane.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Which is fine.
- 11:05Speaker 3: If I could move myself from a four to an
- 11:07Speaker 3: eight by applying a whole bunch of different things, that'd
- 11:10Speaker 3: be awesome. But then there's this flip side of it.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I realize where you gotta am I gonna maintain? How
- 11:15Speaker 3: often am I going to maintain that?
- 11:17Speaker 2: Yeah? What was what was the Seinfeld thing? When do
- 11:20Speaker 2: I let him? Oh?
- 11:21Speaker 1: That was see my side, Yeah, see my other side personally,
- 11:25Speaker 1: But that was personality wise, right, That.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Looks that's a whole other that's the whole other department.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Yeah, Well that grub hub driver may be cute, but
- 11:36Speaker 4: he still stole a couple of your fries, well guaranteed.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I guess that's it.
