Mega Edition: Bill Barr And His Epstein Related Narrative (10/10/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

0:00
Speaker 1: And welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles. One aspect of
0:05
Speaker 1: what happened with Jeffrey Epstein that is not talked about
0:08
Speaker 1: nowhere near enough is what happened inside of that gel
0:12
Speaker 1: cell when he was sharing it with Nicholas Tartaglione. And
0:16
Speaker 1: one of the few people who might know the truth,
0:19
Speaker 1: who might know what really happened, is Bill Barr. Or
0:22
Speaker 1: as I have dubbed him here on the podcast, Darth Barr.
0:25
Speaker 1: And the fact that he says that he's seen evidence
0:27
Speaker 1: that says that Jeffrey Epstein most certainly killed himself. Well,
0:31
Speaker 1: if that's the case, and you have seen this evidence,
0:35
Speaker 1: where is it for the rest of us to take
0:36
Speaker 1: a look at? Why isn't that released? Why isn't that
0:39
Speaker 1: something that is for public consumption? You want to end
0:43
Speaker 1: conspiracy theories? You want to end people saying things like
0:46
Speaker 1: Epstein didn't kill himself? The best way to do that
0:49
Speaker 1: is to shine some light on all this stuff that's
0:52
Speaker 1: been hidden. And of course, that's what we all hoped
0:54
Speaker 1: that the Inspector General's report was going to do, but
0:58
Speaker 1: that's not the case. All we got was more BS,
1:02
Speaker 1: more nonsense, especially when talking about the situation with Nicholas Tartaglione.
1:07
Speaker 1: We didn't get hardly anything in the OIG report talking
1:11
Speaker 1: about Tartaglione or the fact that Epstein, one of the
1:15
Speaker 1: most or should be one of the most secure prisoners
1:18
Speaker 1: in the whole entire country, well, he's in a jail
1:21
Speaker 1: cell with a guy who is being charged with four homicides. Now,
1:26
Speaker 1: even in the movies, that doesn't happen. So how in
1:29
Speaker 1: the world did it happen in real life? And then furthermore,
1:32
Speaker 1: after Jeffrey Epstein allegedly tried to kill himself that first time,
1:36
Speaker 1: With Tartaglione as his cellmate, the MCC has that quick
1:40
Speaker 1: investigation that clears Tartaglione basically right away and just on
1:44
Speaker 1: his word. Because remember, the cameras allegedly weren't working. So
1:49
Speaker 1: that means that MCC and the Bureau of Prisons took
1:53
Speaker 1: Nicholas Tartaglione at his word. Sounds like a great idea.
1:58
Speaker 1: So there's still a lot of questions here. And Bill
2:01
Speaker 1: Barr is somebody that if Congress or Senate is going
2:05
Speaker 1: to put together some sort of committee, they should be
2:07
Speaker 1: calling Bill Barr up there and he should be put
2:09
Speaker 1: under oath. And furthermore, let's see all the video. Let's
2:13
Speaker 1: see it all. This isn't national security we're talking about here.
2:17
Speaker 1: We're talking about jail. We're talking about a place where
2:21
Speaker 1: people go and they're not even convicted yet for the
2:24
Speaker 1: most part. So let's have this conversation. Let's talk about it.
2:28
Speaker 1: Let's see all the evidence. And certainly, let's see the videos.
2:32
Speaker 1: And if not, well, you can expect a whole lot
2:35
Speaker 1: of people to still have a whole lot of questions
2:38
Speaker 1: and a whole lot of conspiracies to continue to pop up.
2:42
Speaker 1: Today's article is from the Daily Mail and the headline,
2:45
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's brother Mark accuses Bill Barr of covering up
2:49
Speaker 1: pedophiles' death and says Trump's AG was protecting someone. Look,
2:53
Speaker 1: I agree. I think that Bill Barr knows more than
2:57
Speaker 1: he's letting on. How much more? I don't know. I
3:00
Speaker 1: wasn't there, but I don't buy the official narrative. I
3:04
Speaker 1: don't buy it for one single second because they told
3:07
Speaker 1: us that that's what happened. We should just buy into it.
3:11
Speaker 1: And it's funny because there's a lot of people out
3:13
Speaker 1: there that won't believe the government at all until, of course,
3:17
Speaker 1: it tickles their confirmation bias. As long as that happens, well,
3:21
Speaker 1: they're completely on board. Me? I'm a trust but verify
3:24
Speaker 1: kind of guy, especially when we're talking about an investigation
3:27
Speaker 1: like this. and the guy like Bill Barr. No offense
3:30
Speaker 1: or anything, but come on. Darth Barr has been part
3:33
Speaker 1: of the government apparatus in D.C. for how long? And
3:38
Speaker 1: you want me to trust this guy's word? Mr. FBI? Mr. CIA? Mr.
3:43
Speaker 1: Intelligence on the American people? And you want me to
3:45
Speaker 1: trust his word? That is a very, very big ask.
3:51
Speaker 1: This article was authored by Will Potter. Jeffrey Epstein's brother
3:55
Speaker 1: slammed former Attorney General Bill Darth Barr and the handling
3:59
Speaker 1: of the pedophile's controversial death as he accused him of
4:02
Speaker 1: a cover-up. Mark Epstein, 69, a property developer, hit out
4:07
Speaker 1: at Barr for his infamous line that there was a
4:10
Speaker 1: perfect storm of screw-ups that led to Epstein's apparent suicide
4:14
Speaker 1: in a Manhattan jail in August of 2019. Yes, there
4:18
Speaker 1: were screw-ups, but that doesn't mean that my brother was,
4:21
Speaker 1: you know, committed suicide because of screw-ups, he told NewsNation's
4:25
Speaker 1: Leland Vittert. Why? I mean, you'd have to ask Bill
4:28
Speaker 1: Barr if he was covering this up, which it appears
4:30
Speaker 1: to be. Who was he covering it up for? Who
4:34
Speaker 1: was Bill Barr protecting? And I know that sounds wild
4:36
Speaker 1: as hell, but it's really not that big of a leap.
4:39
Speaker 1: When you look at Bill Barr, his involvement in this,
4:41
Speaker 1: and the fact that we've hardly seen any evidence that
4:44
Speaker 1: Bill Barr says that he saw... Why would anyone believe that?
4:48
Speaker 1: And what about Bill Barr and his history would lead
4:51
Speaker 1: you to believe that he is somebody that's trustworthy and
4:54
Speaker 1: somebody that we should trust when it comes to something
4:57
Speaker 1: like this? Barr, the Attorney General for President Donald Trump
5:02
Speaker 1: from 2019 to 2020, came under intense scrutiny in the
5:06
Speaker 1: aftermath of Epstein's death as it became clear institutional failings
5:10
Speaker 1: allowed him to escape justice. If you want to call
5:13
Speaker 1: him that, Let's start with Tartaglione, and until somebody answers
5:18
Speaker 1: that question about Tartaglione and that gel cell, none of
5:21
Speaker 1: this other stuff makes sense. Epstein was found hanged from
5:25
Speaker 1: his neck in his Manhattan gel cell with a strip
5:28
Speaker 1: of orange bedsheet. It was later revealed he was taken
5:31
Speaker 1: off suicide watch and housed alone against procedure, wasn't subject
5:35
Speaker 1: to irregular checks, and the surveillance cameras were not working
5:39
Speaker 1: at the time. In a widely publicized reaction, Barr said
5:43
Speaker 1: he was appalled by the situation and ordered investigations but
5:47
Speaker 1: concluded that it was merely a perfect storm of screw-ups.
5:51
Speaker 1: Many questioned whether Epstein was allowed to kill himself to
5:54
Speaker 1: stop the great and the good who he befriended being
5:57
Speaker 1: embarrassed by revelations at any criminal trial. And I certainly
6:01
Speaker 1: think there's some merit to that. Could Tartaglione have been
6:04
Speaker 1: in that cell with Epstein to pass on a message
6:07
Speaker 1: like I've said several times before? Basically, Tartaglione telling him,
6:11
Speaker 1: we can reach out and touch you whenever we want.
6:14
Speaker 1: So either you do it or we're going to do
6:16
Speaker 1: it for you. And then he roughs them up. Again,
6:18
Speaker 1: my speculation. I wasn't in that jail cell. I don't
6:21
Speaker 1: know what happened. But those cameras should have been working
6:24
Speaker 1: and there should have been redundancies, no? And the fact
6:27
Speaker 1: that Jeffrey Epstein told everybody that he was assaulted by
6:30
Speaker 1: Tartaglione before saying he wasn't. I have a lot of
6:34
Speaker 1: questions here. And I don't think that we've had legitimate
6:37
Speaker 1: answers from the DOJ, from the BOP, and certainly not
6:41
Speaker 1: from the institution while it was open. All we got
6:44
Speaker 1: was the runaround. And then we got the classic, right?
6:47
Speaker 1: The classic line. Well, this is an open investigation, so
6:51
Speaker 1: we can't give you any information. Yeah, they love that one, right?
6:55
Speaker 1: So they're just going to have the Epstein investigation open
6:58
Speaker 1: until St. Smithen's Day, I guess, because at this point,
7:02
Speaker 1: you would think that they'd be releasing this shit in
7:04
Speaker 1: troves like the way Preska's doing it. But until some
7:08
Speaker 1: judge gets involved, we're not going to see that, especially
7:11
Speaker 1: not from the BOP. Epstein's brother has repeatedly called for
7:16
Speaker 1: further scrutiny over the financier pedophile's death, repeating this call
7:20
Speaker 1: this week, as he said there doesn't seem to have
7:23
Speaker 1: been much of an investigation at all. There hasn't been,
7:27
Speaker 1: and there wasn't one. Not a worthwhile one, that's for
7:30
Speaker 1: damn sure. And then all of these other people that
7:33
Speaker 1: were involved here. You had captains, you had lieutenants, you
7:36
Speaker 1: had sergeants, you had shift bosses. Nobody got fired. Nobody.
7:41
Speaker 1: So for all the nonsense about Bill Barr, looking at
7:43
Speaker 1: all of these irregularities and the perfect storm of mess-ups,
7:48
Speaker 1: nobody got fired. Nobody lost their job. Nobody went to jail.
7:52
Speaker 1: You know who lost out? Once again, that's right, folks.
7:54
Speaker 1: You and I, the taxpayer. And you know who really
7:57
Speaker 1: lost out? The survivors who want justice. Things like the
8:01
Speaker 1: EMT and the medical personnel at the hospital, none of
8:04
Speaker 1: them have ever been questioned, he continued. They're always questioned,
8:08
Speaker 1: especially in high profile cases. He's not wrong. Anytime somebody
8:12
Speaker 1: dies in jail, automatically that jail cell is treated as
8:15
Speaker 1: a crime scene until they figure it out. But here
8:18
Speaker 1: that didn't happen. Policy wasn't followed. They did whatever they want, basically.
8:23
Speaker 1: And the most galling part is that there was never
8:26
Speaker 1: any kind of accountability. The question becomes what investigation was done.
8:31
Speaker 1: There doesn't seem to have been any. Numerous experts have
8:35
Speaker 1: spoken out in the years since Epstein's death to cast
8:37
Speaker 1: doubt over the quick conclusion that it was a suicide,
8:41
Speaker 1: a factor that Mark Epstein said continues to be overlooked
8:44
Speaker 1: by officials. The pathologist that did the autopsy and a
8:48
Speaker 1: doctor who I had there, they both came out of
8:51
Speaker 1: the autopsy saying they could not call it a suicide
8:54
Speaker 1: because it appeared too much like a homicide, he said.
8:57
Speaker 1: There are a number of reasons why. The doubt over
9:00
Speaker 1: Epstein's death meant the official cause was marked as pending,
9:04
Speaker 1: a process that typically takes weeks to change. However, Mark
9:08
Speaker 1: claimed A.G. Barr abruptly stepped in to officially determine it
9:12
Speaker 1: was a suicide. So at this point, does anybody disagree
9:16
Speaker 1: that Bill Barr should be brought before Congress and there
9:19
Speaker 1: needs to be a whole committee that is impaneled? Let's
9:22
Speaker 1: get a committee in Congress, in the Senate, and let's
9:25
Speaker 1: get down to the bottom of this shit. And if
9:27
Speaker 1: that means going after the financials, then let's do that.
9:30
Speaker 1: It wasn't really his position to do that, he added.
9:33
Speaker 1: When questioned on if he agreed with Barr's assessment the
9:36
Speaker 1: episode was a perfect storm of screw-ups, Mark said, There
9:39
Speaker 1: were screw-ups, but that doesn't mean that my brother, you know,
9:42
Speaker 1: committed suicide because of screw-ups. There are a number of
9:46
Speaker 1: reasons why he would not commit suicide, he said, noting
9:49
Speaker 1: Epstein's insistence of making Bell rumored to be among the
9:53
Speaker 1: largest in U.S. history at around 150 million before it
9:57
Speaker 1: was revoked as evidence of his plans to stay alive.
10:01
Speaker 1: It has long been theorized that Epstein could have been
10:03
Speaker 1: secretly killed by those hoping to keep him silent following
10:07
Speaker 1: his arrest. And Mark said his brother confided in him
10:10
Speaker 1: that he even had dirt on Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.
10:15
Speaker 1: He had dirt on people. He told me in 2016
10:18
Speaker 1: that he had dirt on then-presidential candidates, he said. He
10:21
Speaker 1: didn't tell me what that dirt was. Well, we have
10:24
Speaker 1: to remember that Epstein loved to talk out of the
10:26
Speaker 1: side of his neck. My man was involved in a
10:29
Speaker 1: bunch of hyperbole. And there was a whole bunch of
10:32
Speaker 1: trying to boost himself up by talking this kinds of nonsense.
10:36
Speaker 1: So you can't really be sure what's what. And considering
10:40
Speaker 1: that Jeffrey Epstein was also a pathological liar, we also
10:44
Speaker 1: know that the best lies usually have some truth sprinkled in.
10:47
Speaker 1: I wasn't involved with his day-to-day life, so I don't
10:50
Speaker 1: know what he knows. But to go back to your
10:52
Speaker 1: initial question, why? I mean, you'd have to ask Bill Barr.
10:57
Speaker 1: If he was covering this up, which it appears to be,
10:59
Speaker 1: who was he covering it up for? Who was Bill
11:01
Speaker 1: Barr protecting? This is not the first time that Mark
11:04
Speaker 1: Epstein has called out his brother's apparent suicide into question,
11:08
Speaker 1: telling the New York Post following the high-profile unsealing of
11:12
Speaker 1: the Epstein files he was still seeking surveillance footage from
11:15
Speaker 1: his brother's cell block on the night of his death.
11:18
Speaker 1: He said he just wants to look at the facts, adding,
11:21
Speaker 1: when we consider the facts available, we get more questions.
11:24
Speaker 1: And that's exactly the truth. The more you look at it,
11:27
Speaker 1: the more you examine what happened, the more questions you have,
11:31
Speaker 1: especially if you're somebody who is a bit cynical by nature,
11:36
Speaker 1: such as myself and probably most of you out there.
11:40
Speaker 1: You're just going to believe what Bill Barr of all
11:42
Speaker 1: people has to say. I'm willing to guess that there
11:45
Speaker 1: is 0% chance that anybody out there listening to this
11:48
Speaker 1: podcast right now is willing to listen to what Bill
11:51
Speaker 1: Barr has to say. And remember, they're causing their own issues.
11:55
Speaker 1: If they have this information, they have the video that
11:58
Speaker 1: Bill Barr says he watched, let's see it. Just release
12:01
Speaker 1: it all and you'll shut everybody up. But until that happens,
12:04
Speaker 1: you can expect people to have questions. And that's because
12:06
Speaker 1: the official narrative has more holes in it than a
12:09
Speaker 1: Kurt Cobain fan's jeans in the early 90s. There appears
12:14
Speaker 1: to have been no investigation. Once it was ruled a suicide,
12:17
Speaker 1: they saw no reason to dig deeper, and that's why
12:19
Speaker 1: it was labeled a suicide right away and so quickly,
12:22
Speaker 1: so they could get ahead of it. It seems like
12:25
Speaker 1: a cover-up. Why can't I find this pre-hospital report, and
12:29
Speaker 1: why can't I get the 911 call? In response to
12:32
Speaker 1: the recent and continuing document dumps from a Manhattan court
12:36
Speaker 1: that have been dubbed the Epstein files, Mark said he
12:39
Speaker 1: isn't sure what to make of them. I have nothing
12:41
Speaker 1: to do with that, you know, and it's not my business.
12:44
Speaker 1: What I'm concerned about is my brother's murder, he said recently,
12:48
Speaker 1: according to a local West Palm Beach outlet. He maintains
12:51
Speaker 1: that the investigation into his brother's death was a cover-up.
12:55
Speaker 1: I don't think Bill Barr killed my brother. So then,
12:57
Speaker 1: who is he covering up for? That becomes a question,
13:01
Speaker 1: and that should be what is asked. And I can't
13:04
Speaker 1: say I disagree with Mark Epstein here. And I think
13:07
Speaker 1: the way to get there is for Congress or for
13:10
Speaker 1: the Senate to act. the Judiciary Committee, someone to step up,
13:14
Speaker 1: put something together, and subpoena all of these records and
13:18
Speaker 1: demand that the DOJ, that the Bureau of Prisons, turns
13:21
Speaker 1: it all over. And let's get cracking. Let's see what's what.
13:25
Speaker 1: Let's see who was really involved. And let's hold the
13:27
Speaker 1: people who should be held accountable to account. You know,
13:30
Speaker 1: the same story we've been singing here on this podcast
13:32
Speaker 1: for over four years now. So hopefully there's going to
13:35
Speaker 1: be some action. Do I think it's going to lead
13:37
Speaker 1: to anything else as far as arrests or anything like that? Unfortunately,
13:41
Speaker 1: I don't. The DOJ has had plenty of time to act.
13:44
Speaker 1: They've had plenty of time to build an investigation. And still,
13:48
Speaker 1: we're left with only Glenn Maxwell in prison and many
13:51
Speaker 1: questions still surrounding the death of Jeffrey Epstein. All of
13:56
Speaker 1: the information that goes with this episode can be found
14:00
Speaker 1: in the description box. What's up, everyone, and welcome back
14:04
Speaker 1: to the Epstein Chronicles. Bill Barr, the ex-Attorney General of
14:09
Speaker 1: the United States of America under Donald Trump, wants you
14:13
Speaker 1: to know that Jeffrey Epstein most certainly killed himself. You
14:17
Speaker 1: know how he knows? Well, he saw the tape, folks.
14:20
Speaker 1: He's the only one who has seen it, but according
14:22
Speaker 1: to him, nobody was in the hallway, nobody was near
14:25
Speaker 1: Epstein's cell, and it's obvious to him that it's a suicide.
14:30
Speaker 1: And guess what? It might be. But does anybody really
14:35
Speaker 1: trust Bill Barr? And I remember when I was absolutely
14:41
Speaker 1: demolishing Bill Barr while he was the Attorney General, calling
14:44
Speaker 1: him Darth Barr, by the way. I got a lot
14:47
Speaker 1: of resistance from people who were, you know, tribalistic or
14:52
Speaker 1: people who thought that Bill Barr was a good guy.
14:55
Speaker 1: The fact is, he's not. The guy had a track
14:57
Speaker 1: record leading up to this. Another recycled-ass bureaucrat. As if
15:02
Speaker 1: there's nobody else out there that can do these jobs.
15:06
Speaker 1: And what's so crazy to me is this. For, what,
15:10
Speaker 1: three years? Four years? We had the legacy media beating
15:13
Speaker 1: into our heads how Bill Barr is not a trustworthy guy.
15:17
Speaker 1: How Bill Barr is a liar. How he's a brute.
15:20
Speaker 1: And honestly, I didn't disagree with any of that. But
15:23
Speaker 1: now all of a sudden he's no longer in office
15:27
Speaker 1: and his word is bond. Everything he says we should
15:30
Speaker 1: just trust with no evidence. Here's an idea. They can
15:32
Speaker 1: clear all of this up. Just release the tape of
15:36
Speaker 1: what happened in that hallway. And if there was nothing
15:38
Speaker 1: going on there, then great. Let everybody see it and
15:40
Speaker 1: people can move on. But when you're not transparent and
15:44
Speaker 1: you try and hide shit and you act like a fool,
15:47
Speaker 1: people are going to have questions. Now, some people take
15:51
Speaker 1: it a little bit far, of course, but there are
15:53
Speaker 1: legitimate concerns here, legitimate questions that have still never been answered.
15:59
Speaker 1: And as much as Bill Barr loves to prattle about
16:01
Speaker 1: the tape he saw here about Epstein and leading up
16:05
Speaker 1: to Epstein's death, you notice none of these folks ever
16:07
Speaker 1: want to talk about what happened in that cell with
16:10
Speaker 1: Nicholas Tartaglione? None of these people do. None of these...
16:14
Speaker 1: so-called journalists, Bill Barr doesn't want to talk about it,
16:18
Speaker 1: nobody brings it up, like it didn't even happen. Well,
16:21
Speaker 1: it did happen. And I'm here to tell you, Jeffrey
16:24
Speaker 1: Epstein was assaulted by that dude, according to Epstein. His
16:27
Speaker 1: own words to his lawyers. It wasn't a suicide attempt.
16:31
Speaker 1: He said he got roughed up by Nicholas Tartaglione. Now,
16:35
Speaker 1: was Tartaglione in there to pass a message on to Epstein? Look, bro,
16:38
Speaker 1: this is your fate. If you don't kill yourself when
16:41
Speaker 1: you get out of this cell with me, then I'm
16:44
Speaker 1: going to get myself put back in a cell with you,
16:46
Speaker 1: and I'm going to make it painful, and you're really
16:49
Speaker 1: going to be sorry. Now, that's speculation on my part, right?
16:53
Speaker 1: But it certainly doesn't seem like something that's too far
16:56
Speaker 1: from the truth when you start putting all of the
16:58
Speaker 1: pieces together. Considering Nicholas Tartaglione had a contraband phone a
17:03
Speaker 1: few weeks before, then he gets moved to the cell
17:05
Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein, then all of a sudden the cameras
17:08
Speaker 1: aren't focused on that cell, they're on the wrong tier,
17:11
Speaker 1: they think a black guy's in the cell with Epstein,
17:13
Speaker 1: it was all ridiculous. And you can't tell me that
17:17
Speaker 1: all of that stuff just happened to be all screw-ups,
17:19
Speaker 1: because if that's the case, every single person that was
17:23
Speaker 1: working at the facility, every last one of them should
17:25
Speaker 1: have been fired, whoever was on duty. But you see,
17:29
Speaker 1: we didn't have any of that, right? No manager on
17:31
Speaker 1: duty stepping up to take the blame. No Bill Barr
17:34
Speaker 1: showing up, buck stops with me. There's no leadership anymore.
17:39
Speaker 1: All of these people are worried about their next gig,
17:41
Speaker 1: their next book, their next political appointment. And I find
17:45
Speaker 1: it all obscene and absurd. But for Bill Barr to
17:50
Speaker 1: act like anybody's just going to take his word, his bond,
17:53
Speaker 1: like this guy is a pillar of the community... A
17:56
Speaker 1: man who only speaks the truth. And we should just
18:00
Speaker 1: believe everything he says. It's just too much. Too big
18:04
Speaker 1: of a stretch. For me anyway. Obviously. People are more
18:07
Speaker 1: than welcome to believe whatever they want. Right? I say
18:11
Speaker 1: it all the time. I'm not here to try and
18:12
Speaker 1: convince anyone of anything. I just tell you the way
18:15
Speaker 1: I feel about things as this stuff happens. And when
18:19
Speaker 1: it comes to Bill Barr and the transparency issue here.
18:22
Speaker 1: There's a big ass problem. A big ass problem. We
18:26
Speaker 1: haven't even talked about how there was no treating the
18:29
Speaker 1: jail cell after Epstein's death like a crime scene like
18:32
Speaker 1: they should have. Even if it was a suicide, it's
18:34
Speaker 1: supposed to be treated like a crime scene. Where was
18:37
Speaker 1: all of the body cam footage of the responding officers,
18:40
Speaker 1: of the medics? How come it was announced on 4chan
18:44
Speaker 1: like 39 minutes before it was announced anywhere else? See,
18:49
Speaker 1: there's a lot of things that don't make sense. And
18:51
Speaker 1: Bill Barr will point to the video issue here and say, hey, look,
18:55
Speaker 1: You know, I know it looks like a perfect storm
18:57
Speaker 1: of screw-ups, but in reality, in reality, still, we get
19:02
Speaker 1: no answers, no transparency, and we're asked and expected to
19:07
Speaker 1: believe the institutions that have been lying to us and,
19:11
Speaker 1: in fact, making things much more difficult in our lives
19:14
Speaker 1: for way too long. But now we should just listen
19:17
Speaker 1: and believe everything the guy has to say? Sorry, not
19:21
Speaker 1: on this podcast. Alright folks, so today we have an
19:25
Speaker 1: article from The Independent, and the author is Gustav Killander. Headline,
19:32
Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein security footage showed no one entering area where
19:36
Speaker 1: he was held, Bill Barr says. The fact that so
19:39
Speaker 1: many failures occurred at one time understandably led people to
19:44
Speaker 1: suspect the worst, Barr writes, but nothing happened here folks,
19:47
Speaker 1: it's all good. Just the perfect storm of screw-ups. That's
19:52
Speaker 1: what they want you to believe. And honestly, if it
19:54
Speaker 1: wasn't for all of the other stuff surrounding this case
19:57
Speaker 1: that we have delved deep into in, what, I don't know, 1,500
20:00
Speaker 1: episodes at this point, then I might be able to
20:03
Speaker 1: go along with it. If I had not followed this
20:06
Speaker 1: case the way I follow it, I might buy it hook, line,
20:09
Speaker 1: and sinker. Hey, look, this is the ex-attorney general. He
20:11
Speaker 1: says he saw the video. All right, well, what else
20:14
Speaker 1: is there? But in reality, there's a lot more. And
20:17
Speaker 1: just saying you saw the video is not enough to
20:19
Speaker 1: convince people who actually have a grasp of what went
20:23
Speaker 1: on here. In his new book, Trump Attorney General Bill
20:30
Speaker 1: Barr rejects conspiracy theories surrounding the death of disgraced financier, pedophile,
20:36
Speaker 1: and convicted sex criminal Jeffrey Epstein. Well, what did you
20:40
Speaker 1: expect him to say? Yeah, you know, while I was
20:43
Speaker 1: in charge, shit went real south and this dude ended
20:46
Speaker 1: up getting clipped on my watch. This guy won't accept
20:48
Speaker 1: responsibility for anything. You think he's going to accept responsibility
20:52
Speaker 1: for the death of one of the most high-profile inmates?
20:56
Speaker 1: Hell no. A perfect storm of screw-ups. That's what you
20:59
Speaker 1: say if you work at a restaurant and there's a
21:01
Speaker 1: bunch of orders that go out wrong. It sucks, right?
21:04
Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, people will get
21:06
Speaker 1: their food and they might be mad or whatever, but
21:09
Speaker 1: nobody's going to end up dying over it. See, when
21:12
Speaker 1: you fuck up here, when you screw up at your
21:14
Speaker 1: job here, these are the results. And it's not just
21:17
Speaker 1: that this moron, disgusting fuckbag died. Everybody's okay with that, really,
21:21
Speaker 1: at the end of the day. It's that he avoided
21:23
Speaker 1: justice once again. And people like Bill Barr get up
21:27
Speaker 1: there and they beat the drums of justice on a
21:29
Speaker 1: regular basis. Run whole campaigns about it. We're the law
21:34
Speaker 1: and order party. We're gonna bring law and order. They
21:37
Speaker 1: don't bring shit, but more misery, more lies, and more deceit.
21:42
Speaker 1: Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. Awaiting
21:47
Speaker 1: trial on sex trafficking charges in 2019, Epstein was found
21:51
Speaker 1: dead in his cell at Manhattan's Metropolitan Correctional Center. Well,
21:56
Speaker 1: I like how you said found dead, author guy Killander here,
21:59
Speaker 1: because we don't really know what happened in that cell.
22:02
Speaker 1: All right? At least I don't. Again, people are more
22:05
Speaker 1: than welcome to believe whatever it is they want. For me,
22:10
Speaker 1: the steps leading up to it, it's just too much without... Real, physical,
22:15
Speaker 1: tangible evidence that we can sink our teeth into. The
22:20
Speaker 1: medical examiner ruled his death a suicide, but baseless conspiracy theories...
22:25
Speaker 1: Wait up, hold up, hit the brakes. Gustav Killander. Reporter
22:31
Speaker 1: for The Independent. Guy I've never even heard of. when
22:36
Speaker 1: talking about Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, has decided to
22:40
Speaker 1: say that these are baseless conspiracy theories. Guess what, Gustav?
22:49
Speaker 1: Until people started really digging into this, the legacy media and,
22:53
Speaker 1: you know, people like your bosses, they all called it
22:56
Speaker 1: a conspiracy theory too. But guess what? It never was.
23:00
Speaker 1: It's a criminal conspiracy, my friend, and all of these
23:03
Speaker 1: scumbags are involved. But baseless conspiracy theories swirled that he
23:10
Speaker 1: had been killed because he retained information concerning high-profile individuals'
23:15
Speaker 1: actions with underage girls. Oh, well, those were reports, huh?
23:20
Speaker 1: Conspiracy theories swirled, did they? Give me a break, dude.
23:24
Speaker 1: The girls themselves talked about this. So you don't believe them?
23:28
Speaker 1: Is that what you're telling us here? Author for The Independent,
23:31
Speaker 1: Gustav Killander? Because that's what they said. So what's the
23:36
Speaker 1: conspiracy theory here? That Epstein killed himself? All right, well,
23:40
Speaker 1: we could definitely put that on the chart of quite
23:44
Speaker 1: possibly being a conspiracy theory. But until everything is ironed
23:48
Speaker 1: out and we have concrete information, all you have to
23:52
Speaker 1: go on when you're saying, well, this is a done
23:54
Speaker 1: deal is Bill Barr's word. That's enough for you. All right, cool. Perfect.
24:01
Speaker 1: Reports that proper prison procedures had not been followed only
24:05
Speaker 1: spurred on speculation. What should it do? Should everybody just
24:08
Speaker 1: sit back and accept it? Well, you know, the Department
24:11
Speaker 1: of Justice told us what happened here, and the Bureau
24:13
Speaker 1: of Prisons confirmed it, so let's not ask any more questions.
24:17
Speaker 1: Isn't the job of a journalist to be inquisitive? Isn't
24:21
Speaker 1: the job of a journalist to try and get to
24:23
Speaker 1: the bottom of things? Instead, they'll just yap and yapity-yap-yap-yap
24:28
Speaker 1: and talk about baseless conspiracy theories without doing one bit
24:33
Speaker 1: of research. But in the book, One Damn Thing After Another,
24:40
Speaker 1: which was obtained by Fox News Digital, Mr. Barr pushes
24:43
Speaker 1: back on the claims that Epstein's death was nefarious. The
24:48
Speaker 1: New York City medical examiner had conducted an autopsy and
24:52
Speaker 1: ruled that Epstein killed himself by hanging. Other evidence also
24:55
Speaker 1: pointed to suicide, but it was the video evidence that
24:59
Speaker 1: confirmed the medical examiner's findings, Mr. Barr writes. Oh, well,
25:03
Speaker 1: that's all great. There you have it, folks. It's all settled.
25:07
Speaker 1: You can go home now and never think about it again. Mr.
25:10
Speaker 1: Barr saw the footage. It's all been settled. Oh, and
25:12
Speaker 1: the other evidence. Can we see it all? What's the
25:15
Speaker 1: big deal? Why can't we see the whole entire kit
25:19
Speaker 1: and caboodle of the evidence from the first attempt all
25:22
Speaker 1: the way through his death? Is it national security? And
25:26
Speaker 1: if so, why is it national security? What are you hiding?
25:29
Speaker 1: Just be very upfront and very transparent. I thought that's
25:33
Speaker 1: what was going to happen with Merrick Garland. That's what
25:35
Speaker 1: a lot of people were telling me, just like with
25:36
Speaker 1: Bill Barr. And I'm here to tell you, the same
25:38
Speaker 1: way I was telling the folks who loved Bill Barr,
25:41
Speaker 1: the dude is a do-nothing, weak-ass... Spaghetti noodle spine having mofo.
25:47
Speaker 1: None of these people have the courage to step up
25:50
Speaker 1: and take out these kinds of folks like Epstein's and
25:54
Speaker 1: the people supporting Epstein. I personally reviewed that video footage,
26:02
Speaker 1: he adds. It shows conclusively that between the time Epstein
26:06
Speaker 1: was locked in his cell at 7.49pm on the night
26:10
Speaker 1: of August 9th, and the time he was discovered the
26:12
Speaker 1: next morning at 6.30am, no one had entered his tier.
26:16
Speaker 1: How do we know the video wasn't doctored? Is that likely? No,
26:19
Speaker 1: probably not. But again, how do we know unless we
26:22
Speaker 1: have access to it and independent sources can take a
26:26
Speaker 1: look at it? But they'll act like this is the
26:29
Speaker 1: Kennedy assassination, right? You ain't getting nothing. Oh, you can't
26:34
Speaker 1: have any information about this. This is a private matter.
26:37
Speaker 1: We're having an investigation. That never goes anywhere. That ends
26:41
Speaker 1: up dying. Or they release the reports late on a
26:44
Speaker 1: Friday night. Mr. Barr noted that a perfect storm of
26:49
Speaker 1: failures preceded Epstein's death, and that the fact that so
26:53
Speaker 1: many failures occurred at one time understandably led people to
26:57
Speaker 1: suspect the worst. But you see, the author of the article,
27:00
Speaker 1: Gustav Killander, had to talk about baseless conspiracy theories, when
27:05
Speaker 1: in fact, Bill Barr, who he's believing about all of
27:07
Speaker 1: this anyway, says that it's understandable that this led people
27:11
Speaker 1: to suspect the worst. So you can't have it both
27:13
Speaker 1: ways there, Mr. Author. And the perfect storm of fuck-ups? Well,
27:19
Speaker 1: here's an idea. Did anybody get in trouble for that?
27:22
Speaker 1: Anybody go to, you know, jail? Oh no, a couple
27:24
Speaker 1: suspended sentences, that's right. What about all of the stuff
27:27
Speaker 1: prior to that? Who was in charge of the evidence
27:31
Speaker 1: from Epstein's first alleged suicide attempt? Where was the chain
27:34
Speaker 1: of custody? Who was in charge of pointing those cameras
27:37
Speaker 1: away from the cell? See what I'm saying here? Can
27:39
Speaker 1: we get a full-on report? But we never will. The
27:45
Speaker 1: former top law enforcement official wrote that the mistakes included
27:49
Speaker 1: Epstein being taken off suicide watch despite an earlier attempt
27:53
Speaker 1: at ending his life and leaving him alone in his
27:57
Speaker 1: cell after his cellmate was transferred. Not one single word
28:01
Speaker 1: about Nicholas Tartaglione. And when they omit shit, folks, people
28:05
Speaker 1: like Bill Barr, you better believe there's a reason. Lies
28:09
Speaker 1: of omission are still lies. And I'll tell you what,
28:12
Speaker 1: I cannot shake the feeling that that is the key
28:18
Speaker 1: point here. The situation with Tartaglione and him being in
28:22
Speaker 1: that cell with Epstein that first time around, it just
28:25
Speaker 1: defies logic. And it goes much further than a screw-up
28:30
Speaker 1: of epic proportions. Two correction officers who were supposed to
28:35
Speaker 1: be keeping an eye on Epstein also slept on the
28:38
Speaker 1: job and spent time online. They later pled guilty following
28:42
Speaker 1: accusations that they tried to cover their tracks by falsifying records. So...
28:48
Speaker 1: Not only that, but what about their bosses? Remember, Bill,
28:51
Speaker 1: you know, all these people want to talk about how
28:53
Speaker 1: they're the buck stops with them. They're the boss until
28:56
Speaker 1: shit goes south and somebody has to take responsibility. Who
28:59
Speaker 1: was the shift boss? Who was the lieutenant on duty?
29:02
Speaker 1: And did that lieutenant get penalized and fired? Because if
29:06
Speaker 1: you can't control your staff and keep your staff from
29:09
Speaker 1: sleeping at work, I don't know what to tell you.
29:12
Speaker 1: I certainly have never had a job that was so sensitive.
29:15
Speaker 1: that I'm in charge of people's lives, basically. But if
29:19
Speaker 1: any of my employees were ever sleeping, there'd be a problem.
29:23
Speaker 1: You mean to tell me working in a jail, that's
29:26
Speaker 1: not a big problem? The boss doesn't stop by every
29:28
Speaker 1: few hours or every little while, every 45 minutes to
29:31
Speaker 1: see what's up? And let's act like it's the first
29:36
Speaker 1: time they've done it, right? I'm sure it was just
29:38
Speaker 1: the first time they fell asleep. as for Epstein Mr.
29:43
Speaker 1: Barr writes it was no consolation to me that an
29:46
Speaker 1: odious criminal was dead he should have been given a
29:49
Speaker 1: fair trial and if found guilty made to answer for
29:53
Speaker 1: his crimes that he was not is deeply disappointing to
29:57
Speaker 1: me yeah well get in line Bill Barr You had
30:00
Speaker 1: plenty of chances to go after Epstein. How long have
30:02
Speaker 1: you been in the government? You smarmy son of a...
30:04
Speaker 1: Oh boy. I really dislike Bill Barr, folks. I really
30:07
Speaker 1: dislike the guy. And frankly, I just don't trust him.
30:11
Speaker 1: I do not trust him. So there you have it, folks.
30:14
Speaker 1: That's Bill Barr dishing on the Jeffrey Epstein death while
30:18
Speaker 1: in custody, what led up to it, and what, in
30:21
Speaker 1: his opinion... Wasn't anyone else going into the cell, but
30:25
Speaker 1: Epstein obviously killing himself. So like usual, it is up
30:29
Speaker 1: to you to decide. And as we get more information,
30:34
Speaker 1: if we ever get any more information, you know it'll
30:37
Speaker 1: be added to the catalog. All right, everybody, that's going
30:40
Speaker 1: to do it for tonight's update. Context episodes on their way.
30:44
Speaker 1: Morning update, that'll be there too. And we'll get the
30:47
Speaker 1: whole entire thing rolling once again tomorrow. If you'd like
30:51
Speaker 1: to contact me, you can do that at bobbycappucci at protonmail.com.
30:56
Speaker 1: That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can also find me on
31:03
Speaker 1: Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. The link for the article
31:10
Speaker 1: that we discussed can be found in the description box.
31:13
Speaker 1: All right, everybody. Until tomorrow, I hope that all of
31:16
Speaker 1: you have a great night. What's up everyone and welcome
31:19
Speaker 1: to another episode of the Epstein Chronicles. They want you
31:24
Speaker 1: to believe it was simple, that Jeffrey Epstein, one of
31:27
Speaker 1: the most notorious and well-connected prisoners in modern history, just
31:31
Speaker 1: happened to take his own life in a federal cell
31:34
Speaker 1: on the very night when the cameras malfunctioned, the guards
31:38
Speaker 1: fell asleep, and every safeguard collapsed in unison. The Department
31:43
Speaker 1: of Justice calls that a suicide. Millions of Americans call
31:47
Speaker 1: it an insult to their intelligence. And at the center
31:50
Speaker 1: of that insult sits William Barr, the Attorney General who
31:53
Speaker 1: promised accountability, swore he was appalled, and then quietly closed
31:58
Speaker 1: the book on one of the most suspicious deaths in
32:01
Speaker 1: American custody. Now, years later, Barr is being hauled back
32:06
Speaker 1: to Capitol Hill, and the timing could not be more critical.
32:09
Speaker 1: He will face the questions he never fully answered. Why
32:12
Speaker 1: was Epstein removed from Suicide Watch? Why were the cameras
32:15
Speaker 1: not working? Why were medical findings from Dr. Michael Bodden ignored?
32:20
Speaker 1: Why did the DOJ move so quickly to declare suicide
32:24
Speaker 1: when every fact screamed for deeper investigation? This isn't just
32:29
Speaker 1: about Epstein anymore. It's about the credibility of the justice
32:32
Speaker 1: system itself. And so today, Barr will be forced to
32:36
Speaker 1: sit under the lights, sworn in, and asked to defend
32:39
Speaker 1: a conclusion that has never made sense. Lawmakers, we hope,
32:44
Speaker 1: will demand explanations, survivors will be listening for truth, and
32:48
Speaker 1: the public will watch for cracks in the carefully constructed
32:51
Speaker 1: wall of denial. Because this isn't just a hearing. Hopefully
32:56
Speaker 1: it's a reckoning. A reckoning with the fact that Epstein's
32:59
Speaker 1: death didn't just take a life. It took away the
33:02
Speaker 1: possibility of justice, exposed the rot inside federal institutions, and
33:07
Speaker 1: left behind the haunting question of who, exactly, was protected
33:12
Speaker 1: when Jeffrey Epstein was silenced. The Department of Justice's conclusion
33:17
Speaker 1: that Jeffrey Epstein's death was a suicide has never sat
33:20
Speaker 1: comfortably with the public. The official explanation was delivered with
33:24
Speaker 1: an air of finality, but without the transparency and evidence
33:28
Speaker 1: that such a consequential matter required. Instead of closing the
33:32
Speaker 1: door on speculation, the DOJ's handling of the case widened it,
33:37
Speaker 1: leaving behind more suspicion than certainty. The improbability of Epstein's
33:43
Speaker 1: circumstances at the time of his death is striking. He
33:46
Speaker 1: was arguably the most high-profile inmate in the country, a
33:50
Speaker 1: man whose testimony could have implicated billionaires, politicians, and royalty.
33:55
Speaker 1: Yet the DOJ would have us believe that under these conditions,
33:59
Speaker 1: he was left unsupervised long enough to end his own life.
34:03
Speaker 1: The notion strains all credibility. The night of Epstein's death
34:07
Speaker 1: reads like a checklist of implausible coincidences. Two guards fell
34:12
Speaker 1: asleep and failed to perform their rounds. The surveillance cameras
34:16
Speaker 1: in the area allegedly malfunctioned. And we're not talking about
34:20
Speaker 1: minor lapses. These are catastrophic failures that all aligned at
34:24
Speaker 1: the exact moment the most valuable inmate in the country died.
34:29
Speaker 1: For the DOJ to roll these circumstances into a neat
34:32
Speaker 1: suicide package was to ask the public to suspend all disbelief.
34:38
Speaker 1: Compounding this, Epstein had been on suicide watch following an
34:42
Speaker 1: earlier incident where he was found injured in his cell.
34:45
Speaker 1: Despite this red flag, he was removed from heightened monitoring
34:49
Speaker 1: and placed back into a situation where he supposedly had
34:52
Speaker 1: the means to kill himself. The DOJ offered no convincing
34:56
Speaker 1: rationale for this decision, a silence that speaks louder than
35:00
Speaker 1: their conclusion. Then, of course, we have the autopsy results.
35:03
Speaker 1: Epstein's body showed broken bones in his neck, including the
35:07
Speaker 1: hyoid bone. injuries far more consistent with strangulation than with hanging.
35:12
Speaker 1: The official examiner ruled suicide, but Dr. Michael Bodden, who
35:16
Speaker 1: observed the autopsy at the request of Epstein's family, disagreed.
35:21
Speaker 1: He pointed out that the fracture pattern fit homicide. Instead
35:24
Speaker 1: of treating his assessment seriously, the DOJ brushed it aside.
35:30
Speaker 1: The department's speed in closing the case was also suspect.
35:34
Speaker 1: Epstein's death should have triggered the most exhaustive transparent investigation possible. Instead,
35:41
Speaker 1: the suicide conclusion was reached quickly with little effort to
35:44
Speaker 1: reconcile conflicting medical opinions or public concern. Haste in this
35:50
Speaker 1: case looked less like efficiency and more like narrative control.
35:54
Speaker 1: For the Bureau of Prisons, which is overseen by the DOJ,
35:57
Speaker 1: Epstein's death was the ultimate indictment. Already plagued by scandals
36:03
Speaker 1: and mismanagement, the Bureau now bore the responsibility for losing
36:06
Speaker 1: custody of the most important prisoner in the nation. Guards
36:11
Speaker 1: falsified records, leaders failed in oversight, and yet no senior
36:15
Speaker 1: officials were meaningfully held accountable. The suicide ruling functioned as
36:20
Speaker 1: a shield, protecting those higher up the chain. What the
36:25
Speaker 1: DOJ asked the public to accept was a cascade of impossibilities,
36:29
Speaker 1: inattentive guards, broken cameras, a removed suicide watch, and injuries
36:33
Speaker 1: inconsistent with hanging, all lining up by chance. the probability
36:38
Speaker 1: of this occurring naturally is vanishingly small. Yet the improbable
36:43
Speaker 1: story was cemented as official truth. Into this picture steps Dr.
36:48
Speaker 1: Michael Bodden's descent. Bodden, one of the most respected forensic
36:52
Speaker 1: pathologists in this country, has testified in countless high-profile cases
36:57
Speaker 1: and built a reputation for objectivity. And his view was clear.
37:02
Speaker 1: The injuries Epstein sustained were far more consistent with homicide
37:06
Speaker 1: than with suicide. Multiple fractures in the hyoid and surrounding
37:11
Speaker 1: bones are extremely rare in suicidal hangings, especially given the
37:15
Speaker 1: materials and low drop circumstances of Epstein's cell. Bodden emphasized
37:21
Speaker 1: that in his decades of work, he had seldom seen
37:23
Speaker 1: such injuries in hangings, but had frequently observed them in
37:26
Speaker 1: cases of strangulation. He noted that the marks on Epstein's
37:31
Speaker 1: neck were horizontal rather than angled, a pattern pointing toward
37:35
Speaker 1: external pressure. rather than self-applied force. These forensic details should
37:40
Speaker 1: have at least opened the door to the homicide possibility,
37:44
Speaker 1: but the DOJ slammed that door shut. Even the supposed
37:49
Speaker 1: ligature the sheets Epstein allegedly used was problematic. Its strength
37:54
Speaker 1: and mechanics did not convincingly explain how it could generate
37:58
Speaker 1: enough force to break multiple bones without a significant drop.
38:02
Speaker 1: The body position described, kneeling with the sheet tied to
38:05
Speaker 1: the bunk, fit poorly with the fractures observed, yet these
38:09
Speaker 1: glaring inconsistencies were ignored in favor of expedience. Other autopsy
38:16
Speaker 1: details deepen the mystery. The pooling of blood in Epstein's
38:19
Speaker 1: body suggested possible repositioning after death, an anomaly the DOJ
38:24
Speaker 1: never clarified. The abrasions and bruising on his neck did
38:29
Speaker 1: not line up cleanly with the hanging scenario, but suggested
38:32
Speaker 1: manual compression. Bodden, present in the room, warned that the
38:37
Speaker 1: evidence didn't add up. The DOJ, however, declined to share
38:41
Speaker 1: the full forensic record publicly, leaving only their word against
38:44
Speaker 1: growing skepticism. In cases of this magnitude, transparency is the
38:50
Speaker 1: only path to public trust. But instead of opening the record,
38:54
Speaker 1: the DOJ treated and continues to treat the case like
38:57
Speaker 1: routine business. Independent experts were denied access to full materials.
39:03
Speaker 1: Bodden's testimony was dismissed. The message was clear. The suicide
39:07
Speaker 1: narrative would not be challenged. And then comes Bill Darthbar.
39:13
Speaker 1: As Attorney General, he was responsible for overseeing the very
39:16
Speaker 1: system that failed Epstein. His public reaction was carefully calibrated.
39:21
Speaker 1: He expressed outrage, acknowledged serious irregularities, and promised accountability. Yet,
39:28
Speaker 1: his department's actions betrayed none of that urgency. The suicide
39:32
Speaker 1: conclusion was defended, the narrative tightly controlled, and no independent
39:37
Speaker 1: investigation was commissioned. Barr's words and actions never matched. He
39:42
Speaker 1: admitted the circumstances were suspicious, yet still endorsed the suicide ruling.
39:48
Speaker 1: He said survivors had been robbed of justice but declined
39:51
Speaker 1: to pursue deeper inquiry. He condemned the prison's failures but
39:55
Speaker 1: ensured leadership escaped responsibility. In short, Barr managed optics while
40:00
Speaker 1: shutting down accountability. Now, as Barr returns to Capitol Hill,
40:06
Speaker 1: he carries these contradictions with him. Lawmakers hopefully will press
40:11
Speaker 1: him why Epstein was removed from Suicide Watch, why the
40:14
Speaker 1: cameras failed, why Bodden's findings were ignored. Hopefully they'll demand
40:19
Speaker 1: to know why the DOJ was so certain of suicide
40:21
Speaker 1: despite overwhelming evidence of something darker. Barr's answers, if evasive,
40:27
Speaker 1: will only confirm what many already believe. That the department
40:32
Speaker 1: protected the powerful by burying the truth. The political calculation
40:37
Speaker 1: behind Barr's handling of Epstein's death is hard to ignore.
40:41
Speaker 1: Keeping the scandal alive risked exposing elites across the spectrum
40:45
Speaker 1: to Closing it quickly served institutional and political interests. The cost, however,
40:51
Speaker 1: was public trust. Epstein didn't kill himself became more than
40:55
Speaker 1: a meme. It became shorthand for the belief that justice
40:59
Speaker 1: in America is straight up rigged. And for the survivors,
41:03
Speaker 1: the DOJ's actions compounded their pain. Not only did Epstein
41:08
Speaker 1: escape trial, but the government's conclusion ensured that no further
41:11
Speaker 1: light would be shed on his enablers. The hearing today
41:15
Speaker 1: is not just about Epstein's death, but about whether victims
41:19
Speaker 1: were abandoned in favor of protecting reputations and connections. Barr's
41:25
Speaker 1: defenders will argue that no direct evidence of homicide was found,
41:29
Speaker 1: but this misses the point entirely. The failure of oversight,
41:34
Speaker 1: the contradiction in the autopsy, and the refusal of transparency
41:38
Speaker 1: mean the DOJ cannot credibly claim certainty. At minimum, The
41:44
Speaker 1: case should have remained open. Instead, the DOJ chose closure,
41:48
Speaker 1: and with it, suspicion. The legacy of Epstein's death is
41:52
Speaker 1: not only that a man escaped justice, it's that the
41:56
Speaker 1: institutions entrusted to preserve truth instead preserve themselves. Barr's testimony
42:02
Speaker 1: today will be a reminder of that failure. He'll speak
42:05
Speaker 1: in negligence, insist on suicide, and deflect responsibility, but the
42:10
Speaker 1: damage is already done. Because the deeper questions will not
42:14
Speaker 1: go away. Was Epstein's death an extraordinary convergence of incompetence
42:19
Speaker 1: or the deliberate silencing of a man who knew too much?
42:24
Speaker 1: The DOJ's conclusion cannot erase the evidence, Biden's testimony, or
42:28
Speaker 1: the stench of improbability. Barr can defend the narrative all
42:32
Speaker 1: he wants, but the public will never believe it. And
42:35
Speaker 1: so the hearing on Capitol Hill becomes less about what
42:38
Speaker 1: Barr says and more about what it symbolizes, the enduring
42:42
Speaker 1: gap between official narratives and public belief. A gap born
42:46
Speaker 1: the moment Epstein's body was wheeled from that cell and
42:49
Speaker 1: a gap that only grows wider with every unanswered question.
42:53
Speaker 1: From here, the story shifts from Barr's words to the
42:56
Speaker 1: haunting reality that Epstein's secrets did not die with him,
43:00
Speaker 1: they were buried, and the cover-up may run deeper than
43:04
Speaker 1: anyone dares admit. All of the information that goes with
