- 0:00Speaker 1: Because fuck you, that's why is a founding member of
- 0:02Speaker 1: the Odd Pods Media Network.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to b FY tw episode three hundred
- 0:41Speaker 2: and one. We successfully survived episode three hundred performing live
- 0:55Speaker 2: in front of a theater audience in Colorado Springs, and
- 1:00Speaker 2: now we're taking it easy, but we we also kind
- 1:03Speaker 2: of wanted to do a b F y t W
- 1:05Speaker 2: does Task Master post mortem? If you will? Yes, yes, exactly,
- 1:15Speaker 2: if you died.
- 1:16Speaker 3: So successful, though so successful.
- 1:19Speaker 2: I dined on stage at least Once home, the whole
- 1:26Speaker 2: rap rhyming thing still lives rent free in my head.
- 1:30Speaker 4: I've removed it. It's gone.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Urged drinking, so I forget it again anyway.
- 1:40Speaker 2: Uh yeah, so we've got we've brought the gang back together. Uh,
- 1:46Speaker 2: there is one noticeable absence. Caroline, the actual eventual winner
- 1:53Speaker 2: and champion of the series. Couldn't make it.
- 1:57Speaker 6: So wowd couldn't make it. Couldn't make it, I mean,
- 2:05Speaker 6: you know, and really sad that.
- 2:09Speaker 2: She if she hears this, I'm so sorry your invitation
- 2:13Speaker 2: was put in the mail. I don't know what happened. No, Caroline,
- 2:20Speaker 2: we very much love you and please enjoy spending time
- 2:23Speaker 2: with your family. But we wanted to get everybody back
- 2:26Speaker 2: together and just relax. No games, no pressure, no stress,
- 2:34Speaker 2: uh and just chill, hang out and talk about what happened,
- 2:40Speaker 2: what happened, what happened on the place.
- 2:46Speaker 6: We can safely discuss what happened, and and and no drudgments.
- 2:50Speaker 2: Everything everything is.
- 2:52Speaker 6: Everything's chill. No one's gonna yell this time, will they?
- 2:57Speaker 1: No guarantees I want to. I'm gonna preferce it. This
- 3:01Speaker 1: whole episode now is I don't remember pretty much.
- 3:06Speaker 5: This legitimately might be Steve doesn't remember shit.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Actually for me, I'm excited.
- 3:12Speaker 7: Well, I learned that my memory is pretty terrible, and
- 3:15Speaker 7: that's what let me down in many of the tasks.
- 3:18Speaker 7: Like so of like the memory of someone much older
- 3:23Speaker 7: than I am is the position I found myself in.
- 3:28Speaker 7: So I also don't remember a ton of what we did,
- 3:32Speaker 7: even just a few weeks ago.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Well, we'll find out.
- 3:37Speaker 2: So the video episodes, if I'm understanding Stevie's plans correctly,
- 3:42Speaker 2: are going to be put up on YouTube on Monday.
- 3:46Speaker 1: Yeah, the first one's already ready to go for Monday.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Okay, So the first one is going to go up
- 3:52Speaker 2: on Monday. So by the time you're hearing this, you
- 3:54Speaker 2: can actually go and watch the entire thing.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And I rendered it in two K because I'm an ass.
- 4:03Speaker 2: On accident.
- 4:03Speaker 1: But now it's staying that way.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Okay, K, First, why is this taking so long?
- 4:12Speaker 5: It took like three hours ten.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Percent of Like what the fuck?
- 4:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:17Speaker 6: Yeah, those case snobs can suck it. Yes, as far
- 4:22Speaker 6: as I'm concerned.
- 4:24Speaker 7: You don't need to see us misunderstand a German person
- 4:27Speaker 7: in super high definition.
- 4:29Speaker 4: That's not that's not necessary.
- 4:31Speaker 2: You kind of do.
- 4:31Speaker 5: It's pretty awesome.
- 4:35Speaker 8: I like my poor education streamed in high definition, you
- 4:38Speaker 8: know what I mean?
- 4:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that's still I still feel like that was the
- 4:43Speaker 2: right one to start with. There's the right one to
- 4:46Speaker 2: start with. Everybody failed across the board. It was hilarious.
- 4:51Speaker 2: It's fantastic.
- 4:52Speaker 8: You know what's funny is I do believe I have
- 4:54Speaker 8: met her before, but it completely slipped my mind.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Because you had an advantage joking, it didn't.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Work advantage at all. He very clearly didn't didn't work
- 5:07Speaker 2: out for him.
- 5:09Speaker 8: The zero of five I help went an offender because
- 5:12Speaker 8: she's like, he doesn't remember me, does he?
- 5:18Speaker 9: Yeah, it was a great equalizer to start out with
- 5:22Speaker 9: of just oh, everyone has done poorly. This is setting
- 5:26Speaker 9: the stage.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Same time, everybody was so impressive at everything, Like sit
- 5:33Speaker 1: on the sidelines and watching everybody, like I'm like, I
- 5:36Speaker 1: don't know how any of you passed any of those tasks,
- 5:39Speaker 1: Like all of them, I wouldn't have gotten the point
- 5:42Speaker 1: that I assisted Aaron with the Three Club's thing, and
- 5:47Speaker 1: I had no idea what the hell was going on?
- 5:50Speaker 1: And he said the magic fuck is he talking? I
- 5:55Speaker 1: never because I didn't even see in the video of
- 5:56Speaker 1: the thing popping up or anything either, no idea, And
- 6:00Speaker 1: I tried helping him make the website, and I'm just
- 6:02Speaker 1: like oblivious.
- 6:03Speaker 6: That's why I can't wait to sit down and watch
- 6:06Speaker 6: the whole thing is because like when when we were
- 6:09Speaker 6: in it, I could sell two things that a each
- 6:13Speaker 6: individual part, each individual component, whether it's just each individual
- 6:17Speaker 6: competition or each of the individual things that we filmed respectively,
- 6:22Speaker 6: we're all very very funny on their own, but like
- 6:26Speaker 6: as a whole, the whole overarching thing felt so impressive,
- 6:31Speaker 6: Like I really got the sense that, like, wow, Randolph
- 6:35Speaker 6: has done such a great job of like of making
- 6:38Speaker 6: this cohesive whole, Like I feel like this audience is
- 6:40Speaker 6: getting a really good show.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:43Speaker 6: I hope we all felt that way. Not to toot
- 6:45Speaker 6: our own hones, birtlet, but but I just think the overall,
- 6:49Speaker 6: the overall impression that I left is that this is
- 6:50Speaker 6: a really impressive show. The laughs are not letting up.
- 6:54Speaker 6: I felt really good about the whole thing.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree completely. It's pretty good in the rain.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I appreciate the compliment. And I think it was
- 7:04Speaker 2: largely because we all decided. I talked it over with
- 7:08Speaker 2: Matt and Audra and Stevie and Augie, and I thought
- 7:11Speaker 2: that we had enough tasks for either three decent shows
- 7:16Speaker 2: or two really good ones, and we just eventually decided
- 7:19Speaker 2: not to do matinee. We wanted to spend the time
- 7:22Speaker 2: together instead, and I think that was a wise choice.
- 7:26Speaker 2: The show has turned out better for it, and we
- 7:29Speaker 2: got to have an insane game of blood on the
- 7:31Speaker 2: clock tower.
- 7:33Speaker 7: An unhinged game of blood on that Absolutely, Yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 1: It was.
- 7:38Speaker 2: It was one of my favorite experiences of the whole trip.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Was just how crazy that game was.
- 7:43Speaker 7: Hey, I love all of you, It wasn't one of
- 7:46Speaker 7: my favorite experiences. Immediately murdered just for telling the God's
- 7:53Speaker 7: honest truth of it all.
- 7:57Speaker 2: It made you feel snitches get stitches. Sorry.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I tried to save people and everybody I tried saving
- 8:03Speaker 1: like it wasn't the first I was like, every everybody died.
- 8:06Speaker 8: I'm pretty sure it wasn't either one that did that
- 8:08Speaker 8: to you, Matt, and then I kill.
- 8:10Speaker 5: You, like, yeah, I think, to be fair, you were
- 8:13Speaker 5: the biggest threat in that moment.
- 8:15Speaker 4: So yeah, I painted a target on my back immediately.
- 8:21Speaker 2: But no, that was Yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 8: I used to play a game on Steam called Tana
- 8:26Speaker 8: Salem that played very similar to it if you played
- 8:28Speaker 8: Werewolf or like that, very similar to that as well.
- 8:31Speaker 8: So I had an idea what I needed to do,
- 8:34Speaker 8: but I had no freaking idea what was going on.
- 8:38Speaker 2: And I sucked at the whole.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Oh by the way, yeah yeah I'm this. Oh by
- 8:43Speaker 5: the way, I'm not really this. I can't do the
- 8:46Speaker 5: lying thing.
- 8:48Speaker 2: I laughed too much.
- 8:49Speaker 6: I tried to describe it to my daughter because and
- 8:53Speaker 6: she was like, oh, so like Werewolf and I'm like
- 8:55Speaker 6: huh yeah, and then like oh yeah, no, that's what
- 8:57Speaker 6: people said that it was like Werewolf.
- 9:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:01Speaker 6: No, I you know, I get into especially in like
- 9:05Speaker 6: a social game like that, I can easily get into
- 9:07Speaker 6: a headspace where I'm just like, I don't know what
- 9:09Speaker 6: the fuck I'm doing. Uh, you know, I can just
- 9:12Speaker 6: be a delightful agent of chaos here, and I'm cool
- 9:17Speaker 6: with that.
- 9:19Speaker 2: He yes, that's true, that's true.
- 9:21Speaker 9: I got agro but immediately and so the little delightful
- 9:31Speaker 9: agent of chaos I have so much respect for because
- 9:34Speaker 9: I was like, but who are we voting for?
- 9:38Speaker 6: No, that's how I could tell that, Like Audra, either
- 9:40Speaker 6: you were like I that's I got the real sense
- 9:44Speaker 6: that you were not being deceptive. And I was like, no, no, no,
- 9:46Speaker 6: she's clearly in this to win it.
- 9:49Speaker 10: And as her best friend, I was like, yeah, this
- 9:51Speaker 10: this freaking tracks.
- 9:53Speaker 9: Yeah, this is just playing any game.
- 9:56Speaker 10: Playing agro MAT's getting frustrated immediately gets tarted.
- 9:59Speaker 11: It was very It played out very since christ was
- 10:01Speaker 11: really quiet, the four of us in the corner that
- 10:05Speaker 11: we're familiar. I was like this, Yeah, this is playing
- 10:08Speaker 11: out just about it as I.
- 10:09Speaker 10: Thought it would.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Yeah, this game night.
- 10:14Speaker 8: That's more true than you know, because it didn't play
- 10:16Speaker 8: out like exactly how it played out for everyone. Because
- 10:19Speaker 8: the very first thing that happened was he told he
- 10:22Speaker 8: said out loud that I was the bad guy.
- 10:24Speaker 12: I was right at the beginning.
- 10:27Speaker 2: He said it.
- 10:28Speaker 8: He called me out, and that happens every time, Like
- 10:31Speaker 8: we played Secret Hitler, and that happened literally the first
- 10:34Speaker 8: time I ever played Secret Hitler.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Like he's al.
- 10:38Speaker 1: And all you people believe his innocent face.
- 10:42Speaker 2: But it's a tiny mustache. It gives him away every time.
- 10:45Speaker 8: Ye yeah, I trimmed it, so I gotta let it
- 10:51Speaker 8: grow again.
- 10:52Speaker 6: Anyways, See, you guys look very cozy in there. You
- 10:57Speaker 6: look like you're like wearing a blanket, like a it's
- 11:00Speaker 6: a poncho, it's a it's a slanket.
- 11:02Speaker 1: It's like yeah, yeah, sweat. It's like seventy two in here.
- 11:08Speaker 1: It's kind of nice.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I was telling Aaron, Uh, what was it last week
- 11:15Speaker 1: that I was redoing the studio to put it all
- 11:17Speaker 1: back together again from the trip and to make them
- 11:20Speaker 1: go crazy. I shifted everything in here one inch that way,
- 11:24Speaker 1: like everything, Yeah, it's one like the desk is. I
- 11:26Speaker 1: took it out like I got the drines during the
- 11:30Speaker 1: screw driver impact driver took it all off the wall
- 11:32Speaker 1: and moved it.
- 11:34Speaker 2: That's the real reason I didn't show today because it
- 11:36Speaker 2: would have driven me mad. I lost my damn mind
- 11:40Speaker 2: just shaking in place. This is wrong? This is wrong?
- 11:43Speaker 2: Is it all wrong?
- 11:45Speaker 4: Identify the ten things that have changed.
- 11:49Speaker 5: Your time starts Now there's a more than ten things.
- 11:56Speaker 2: I am waiting for my come up, and so I
- 11:58Speaker 2: will gladly accept it. That's gonna happen. It's due. Yeah.
- 12:05Speaker 2: The number one comment I've gotten from everybody who's either
- 12:08Speaker 2: listened to the episodes that are already out or who
- 12:11Speaker 2: was there was you're a devious pastures And I was
- 12:17Speaker 2: just trying to match the show.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Oh yeah, and you did do that.
- 12:22Speaker 2: I was doing my best to make challenging but still
- 12:26Speaker 2: funny tasks that that challenge people's ingenuity and creativity. But
- 12:32Speaker 2: also I had to throw in a couple Dick moves
- 12:35Speaker 2: because that's what they do, That's what Alex Horn does.
- 12:38Speaker 2: So I was doing my best.
- 12:41Speaker 9: It's consistent with the format.
- 12:43Speaker 2: To put the answers in plain sight sometimes and the
- 12:49Speaker 2: pleased three of Heart's thing was probably the most evil bit. Yeah.
- 12:54Speaker 6: Well, and you're wearing the shirt right now, which I
- 12:56Speaker 6: am because I can wear it.
- 12:59Speaker 2: I can now, and these shirts are so comfortable, like
- 13:02Speaker 2: they're they're fantastic shirts. So I want to wear them.
- 13:07Speaker 6: I also wanted to come dressed for the occasion.
- 13:10Speaker 2: Very kind for yes sharing this with me, very kind. Yeah. Yeah.
- 13:18Speaker 2: This was one of those where I had the idea
- 13:20Speaker 2: in like January or February, and I'm like, I gotta
- 13:23Speaker 2: get to work on it now if I'm gonna have
- 13:24Speaker 2: everything ready in time. So, like I had it way
- 13:28Speaker 2: back at the start of the year, I was like,
- 13:29Speaker 2: I'm going to do I'm going to do like three
- 13:32Speaker 2: tacks that mix together into one sort of mental nightmare,
- 13:39Speaker 2: because I knew I would need to be wearing the
- 13:41Speaker 2: shirt otherwise it wouldn't work. Like you know, I if
- 13:45Speaker 2: I if I put an image up on screen instead
- 13:47Speaker 2: of just wearing it, it would have given the whole
- 13:49Speaker 2: thing away right away. So I was like, let's let's
- 13:54Speaker 2: just have shirts made, and so I did, and he
- 13:57Speaker 2: gave me two of them, this one and a red one,
- 14:00Speaker 2: which the red one kind of blurred out some of
- 14:03Speaker 2: the stuff. It was harder, it was harder to see
- 14:05Speaker 2: the icons. So I had to wear the white shirt
- 14:06Speaker 2: for every contestant. But I still wear the red one
- 14:09Speaker 2: because it's damn comfortable.
- 14:14Speaker 6: But that's I probably I think I mentioned to all
- 14:17Speaker 6: of you at some point that like trying to explain
- 14:21Speaker 6: to my wife what we were doing it just for
- 14:23Speaker 6: so she just couldn't process, like, wait, so it's a podcast,
- 14:26Speaker 6: what what do you huh? And so like the best
- 14:29Speaker 6: explanation I can give is that like it was like
- 14:31Speaker 6: attending a live recording of the ship of the actual show,
- 14:35Speaker 6: like everything about the way you produced it, everything, like
- 14:38Speaker 6: like you got the music, the sound, just just everything.
- 14:41Speaker 6: I feel like we gave those audiences the closest thing
- 14:45Speaker 6: to being live in a real taping of task Master.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Yeah at least, Yeah, outside of all the things I forgot,
- 14:53Speaker 2: which was legion Ander, I was so sorry that I
- 14:58Speaker 2: neglected this. To get you credit. At the very end
- 15:01Speaker 2: of the show, Jen had to do it, Like in
- 15:04Speaker 2: mid clap, Jen was like a task mastery there going
- 15:09Speaker 2: fuck fuck I forgot, fuck fuck fuck.
- 15:12Speaker 9: I had been for two shows three. That was my
- 15:16Speaker 9: third because I had done Thursday, Friday, Saturday shows and
- 15:19Speaker 9: so that was my third night of shows. Since I
- 15:21Speaker 9: was like, no, we can stop perceiving me. That's fop.
- 15:26Speaker 5: We don't need to perceive me. But I do.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Appreciate and appreciate it. Well, I wanted to give you your
- 15:33Speaker 2: what do they call them your honors? Flowers thank you.
- 15:38Speaker 11: Which I don't full state honors, Yeah, and flowers like
- 15:42Speaker 11: what top five four?
- 15:45Speaker 4: Yeah, that's about it.
- 15:48Speaker 6: Daisy's daffodils. I think that's all the flowers.
- 15:52Speaker 5: Yeah, we've hit them all.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Jen. Has there been any correspondence between you and the sheep?
- 16:02Speaker 11: No, unfortunately, And it literally I we were like, should
- 16:08Speaker 11: we go to Scotland and see the sheep?
- 16:11Speaker 2: That's a big step.
- 16:14Speaker 10: We're not listen.
- 16:16Speaker 11: A light breeze could blow and we would be like,
- 16:18Speaker 11: oh no, we're on flight's gone.
- 16:23Speaker 10: It's not hard. Her picture is on my card tree.
- 16:27Speaker 11: I like putting up Christmas cards on the tree to
- 16:29Speaker 11: display them, and her face is prominently on the tree.
- 16:34Speaker 11: But no, Yeah, that was it was like so funny
- 16:37Speaker 11: because I was like, this is not the first time
- 16:39Speaker 11: this has happened. But like you're in the like truly
- 16:44Speaker 11: in the mindset of like I'm meant to be like
- 16:48Speaker 11: paying attention to the audience and paying attention to what's
- 16:50Speaker 11: going on on stage and what's on this like everyone's talking.
- 16:53Speaker 11: I'm trying to like stay alert to a joke that
- 16:55Speaker 11: I could throw in there, like if I'm being like
- 16:58Speaker 11: all of these things you're like you're on and then Matt.
- 17:02Speaker 10: Did that and my brain stopped, like.
- 17:05Speaker 11: Fully went out of the like you're in production performance
- 17:09Speaker 11: mode and was just like in real life again. And
- 17:11Speaker 11: I was like, I don't, ah, yeah, sheep's distracting immediately.
- 17:19Speaker 2: But the joy that erupted from you, like immediately, it
- 17:23Speaker 2: was so wonderful. And not to spoil anything, but the
- 17:27Speaker 2: reason I brought it up because the very last shot
- 17:30Speaker 2: of the second night, as the credits are rolling and
- 17:33Speaker 2: the audience is dispersing, is you walking up to Chris
- 17:35Speaker 2: holding a picture of it just kind of because you're
- 17:42Speaker 2: you're overwhelmed that I just it was.
- 17:44Speaker 6: It was.
- 17:44Speaker 10: It was adorable, amazing, been memorialized, yes.
- 17:48Speaker 7: And I yeah, it was a really random happenstance that
- 17:54Speaker 7: it worked out because I kind of thought, oh, that's
- 17:57Speaker 7: the thing I would most like to give jen is
- 17:59Speaker 7: is a sheet. But if we can't bring livestock into
- 18:03Speaker 7: the theater.
- 18:03Speaker 4: That much, it's just too much.
- 18:07Speaker 7: Exactly, there's there's too much red tape. But I kind
- 18:10Speaker 7: of thought, oh, well, sponsor adopt that's a thing. So
- 18:13Speaker 7: it's like the idea of a sheep out there and
- 18:17Speaker 7: I messaged my family to see if anyone was like
- 18:20Speaker 7: close to a sheep, and my sister was like, oh, yeah, close.
- 18:25Speaker 4: To a shape.
- 18:28Speaker 10: That's the most proximity to a sheep, British.
- 18:32Speaker 4: It could it could be a thing.
- 18:34Speaker 2: What's your sheep vicinity?
- 18:38Speaker 6: I mean I know a lot of sheep, I just
- 18:40Speaker 6: don't feel particularly close to them.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:44Speaker 7: My sister was like, well, this Friday, I'm going on
- 18:48Speaker 7: a work away day to a farm. So it's like, oh, perfect,
- 18:53Speaker 7: that's that's it. The very close to a sheep.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Done, done, yo.
- 19:01Speaker 6: Not for nothing. I literally just saw a friend of
- 19:03Speaker 6: mine post that she is taking her family on a
- 19:05Speaker 6: trip to Scotland because apparently her son is big into
- 19:08Speaker 6: the Lochness monster. Right now, there's there, and she made there,
- 19:13Speaker 6: here's the breeze. She made a point of saying like,
- 19:15Speaker 6: by the way, this whole trip a week in Scotland
- 19:18Speaker 6: costs half what it would have cost us to spend
- 19:21Speaker 6: spending a weekend at Disney or Universal, So.
- 19:25Speaker 2: I believe it. Yeah, physic Scotland, guys, This episode is
- 19:33Speaker 2: brought to you by the Scotland Tourism for It Episode
- 19:36Speaker 2: four hundred.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Guys, why would you say why.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Would you put that idea on s sheep master? He
- 20:00Speaker 2: started all the tests involved. That's awesome.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll try. I'll pay Scotland.
- 20:11Speaker 3: From what person?
- 20:13Speaker 7: You need to go Australia right next to each other,
- 20:16Speaker 7: stab their neighbors, their neighbors.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Okay, cool, keep going north, you're okay, cool, awesome.
- 20:23Speaker 2: It's it's like video games. You eventually were setting a
- 20:26Speaker 2: peer up on the bottom.
- 20:27Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah, the world round, right, that's how it works.
- 20:32Speaker 9: Yeah, technically, yes.
- 20:36Speaker 7: We're currently recording a podcast, so I think we have
- 20:39Speaker 7: to say it's flat. I think that's the rule.
- 20:42Speaker 10: Take away are we obligated?
- 20:44Speaker 9: Well, take away our podcast license.
- 20:47Speaker 2: I want those fans.
- 20:52Speaker 6: Yeah, look, we've got to get that Scotland money somehow.
- 20:57Speaker 2: So it's true. Yeah, get the christ oh Man.
- 21:03Speaker 5: On the other side.
- 21:06Speaker 10: Hit them all, just go down.
- 21:09Speaker 2: We're gonna go on tour.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Guys. You guys already.
- 21:13Speaker 4: You just got to believe in lizard people.
- 21:15Speaker 9: That's all it takes.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I mean, is it really that far fetched? Now?
- 21:20Speaker 2: Everything the wrong kind of breeze.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Everybody's favorite task.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Was Oh, good question. I want to know.
- 21:34Speaker 1: What's his favorite task? Shotgun?
- 21:38Speaker 2: Go?
- 21:40Speaker 6: Oh gosh, I don't know.
- 21:42Speaker 5: If I could, like at least there was a lot though,
- 21:45Speaker 5: is one okay, how about this?
- 21:47Speaker 1: How about one from day one and one from day two?
- 21:50Speaker 1: Would that work?
- 21:51Speaker 2: I don't. That's even harder.
- 21:53Speaker 7: That's that's even more difficult thinking on.
- 21:56Speaker 10: Me remembering what happened day one and day too.
- 22:01Speaker 7: I've got I've got one that I enjoyed watching and
- 22:05Speaker 7: remembering the moment. Really enjoying was seeing everyone's movies that
- 22:08Speaker 7: they made with the props.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Oh yeah, that.
- 22:12Speaker 7: Was like really exciting to see everyone kind of utilize
- 22:15Speaker 7: all the different skills slash cats.
- 22:22Speaker 1: For We kept talking about it, man, like luckily, I've
- 22:29Speaker 1: got that video, like I can rewatch that scene over.
- 22:32Speaker 2: And and and he was the only one. He was
- 22:37Speaker 2: Caroline did this a little bit, but he was the
- 22:39Speaker 2: only one who said, Okay, I want the first shot
- 22:41Speaker 2: to look like this, and I want second shot to
- 22:43Speaker 2: look like this. Like he literally like laid it out
- 22:46Speaker 2: for me to to edit and and kind of directed
- 22:49Speaker 2: it so to speak, and h and so his, I
- 22:53Speaker 2: felt was the most kind of movie like the Caroline's
- 22:57Speaker 2: was a close second, but I was literally just panning
- 22:59Speaker 2: left and right, whereas he actually got up and moved
- 23:01Speaker 2: the camera for each side of the thing.
- 23:04Speaker 7: So I got two points, though two points to accurately
- 23:10Speaker 7: recreated the scene from Paris Bila's Day Off apart from
- 23:13Speaker 7: the music because of the licensing rights.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Two points, okay, she had to give.
- 23:19Speaker 2: She had to give Caroline four because of the difficulty,
- 23:22Speaker 2: the sheer difficulty involved, and the fact that she pulled
- 23:24Speaker 2: it off. I thought Caroline's movie was very well done
- 23:29Speaker 2: in the end, and I don't I don't know that
- 23:32Speaker 2: I would have agreed with putting Augie at five points
- 23:34Speaker 2: simply because it was the Lord of the Rings flim,
- 23:36Speaker 2: but he played the task mask mistresses, uh likes and dislikes,
- 23:42Speaker 2: So yes, and part of the game, I.
- 23:45Speaker 9: Think to air is human to not give a ship
- 23:49Speaker 9: about your complaints is task master?
- 23:53Speaker 12: Yes, yes, exactly as I that was one of my
- 24:00Speaker 12: favorite I was gonna name that as one of my
- 24:02Speaker 12: favorites to record because it was such a surprise after
- 24:07Speaker 12: part one of that task find three thing, you know,
- 24:10Speaker 12: find your three favorite.
- 24:11Speaker 6: Objects, like like first thinking about that and then turning
- 24:16Speaker 6: it all sideways and having to think, like, oh god,
- 24:18Speaker 6: how do I first of all, what's my favorite movie?
- 24:21Speaker 6: I don't even you know, that's going to take a think,
- 24:24Speaker 6: and I loved your big favorite scene in favorite movie,
- 24:27Speaker 6: and and honestly, the challenge of incorporating all that stuff
- 24:30Speaker 6: it was one of my favorite things to do. And
- 24:32Speaker 6: then seeing how differently everybody else did it was so fun.
- 24:38Speaker 8: Honestly, I would rank myself much lower than everybody else,
- 24:41Speaker 8: just because like, there's no way I was ever gonna
- 24:43Speaker 8: do anything close to Dave's voice, and then with Matt
- 24:49Speaker 8: and then Caroline with their choices, and then you did.
- 24:52Speaker 5: The entire fucking it was fucking.
- 24:57Speaker 2: Eleven rights. They both skill.
- 25:00Speaker 10: Shit, it's the same.
- 25:04Speaker 5: I'm surprised you remember that entire sequence.
- 25:06Speaker 10: Oh I didn't.
- 25:07Speaker 11: We had twenty minutes to prepare, so I went and
- 25:10Speaker 11: put that scene on YouTube, watched it. I actually just
- 25:13Speaker 11: threw away the piece of paper where I took bullet point,
- 25:16Speaker 11: like this person did this, this person did this. Notes
- 25:19Speaker 11: for myself and like we had recently watched it, so
- 25:23Speaker 11: like I knew I could add libs and things, but yeah,
- 25:27Speaker 11: it was like I had a shot list next to
- 25:30Speaker 11: me that was like, Okay, this is what you need
- 25:33Speaker 11: to do. And then yeah, it just felt very me
- 25:38Speaker 11: to just like have that like exposition dump at the end,
- 25:41Speaker 11: and I love that. I was like, I didn't give
- 25:45Speaker 11: any like production creers. That's not like directing cues.
- 25:48Speaker 10: That's not my brain. But it was like to be.
- 25:51Speaker 11: Zoomed in a little bit and then for you to
- 25:53Speaker 11: zoom out and like have me just do the like
- 25:57Speaker 11: lord dump at the end.
- 25:59Speaker 10: This is a good This was good. It was it
- 26:03Speaker 10: was edited very well.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Such a joy.
- 26:08Speaker 1: It made a mission if possible makes sense to me.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Uh, should we take a break? It's been about half
- 26:16Speaker 2: an hour.
- 26:17Speaker 9: Will you do that?
- 26:18Speaker 6: I'm down, I'm tired.
- 26:20Speaker 2: Yeah, just a quick one.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah, we'll get up and stretch, We'll do exercises.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, well hold on, hold on, let's let's not
- 26:30Speaker 2: go crazy here.
- 26:31Speaker 6: Let's just take a few minutes.
- 26:32Speaker 2: We'll play some ads and we'll be right.

- 27:20Speaker 2: Hello, welcome back. It's time for the second part of
- 27:24Speaker 2: our b F Y tw does task Master Episode three
- 27:27Speaker 2: hundred post mortem and joining us now is our super
- 27:31Speaker 2: special guest, Kristin Fie. Kristin, Hello, would have been here sooner,
- 27:38Speaker 2: but my dumb ass forgot to send her the zoom link.
- 27:40Speaker 2: So here we are.
- 27:42Speaker 4: Fuck you Aaron, Yeah, I deserve that all.
- 27:46Speaker 14: He kind of just said, you didn't want me here.
- 27:50Speaker 2: Totally want you here. I'm happy to have you here.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Kristen gets fifty points. Hi, Kristin, thank you for joining us.
- 28:05Speaker 2: Christin joined us for the actual trip, med us down
- 28:09Speaker 2: in Colorado Springs and got the airbnb with us and
- 28:14Speaker 2: we all shared a house together for four days and
- 28:17Speaker 2: it was lovely, an absolute blast.
- 28:21Speaker 14: Yeah, it was a lot of fun to have everybody
- 28:23Speaker 14: together and play some games, entertain go to some shows.
- 28:28Speaker 14: It's a wonderful time.
- 28:31Speaker 9: As possible.
- 28:33Speaker 2: My favorite Kristin memory I think of the whole trip
- 28:36Speaker 2: is drunken bomber Man.
- 28:39Speaker 3: I had.
- 28:41Speaker 2: I had a little I had a little games machine
- 28:44Speaker 2: with four controllers, and like the very first night we
- 28:46Speaker 2: all sat down and hooked it up to the TV
- 28:48Speaker 2: and like one of the games that we wound up
- 28:50Speaker 2: playing for a good length of time was bomber Man
- 28:53Speaker 2: two for the Supernintendo.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I think.
- 28:56Speaker 2: And Kristin and Jeremy were hilarious playing the game. I've
- 29:01Speaker 2: never played it before. I left so hard you wouldn't
- 29:04Speaker 2: know it. After a while. No, after a while, she
- 29:06Speaker 2: became very deadly. I get attle competitive, but at first
- 29:13Speaker 2: there were some some cell phones. To be sure, I'm
- 29:17Speaker 2: just trying you call people on.
- 29:21Speaker 6: Not not to digress too heavily, but I am super
- 29:23Speaker 6: curious and soft plug Aaron. Was this one of your
- 29:28Speaker 6: zeem's gaming custom builds or was this an off the
- 29:31Speaker 6: shelf thing that you grabbed and were then? And what
- 29:35Speaker 6: was the controller situation? Because that's the hardest thing for me,
- 29:39Speaker 6: I find is like configuring four controllers for a quick
- 29:45Speaker 6: game of bomber Man without requiring twenty minutes of setup. No,
- 29:48Speaker 6: this was really My kids are like done.
- 29:51Speaker 2: So this this was this was a custom build for
- 29:54Speaker 2: anyone listening or doesn't know. I build computers and handheld
- 29:58Speaker 2: gaming machines and all kinds. It's my it's my other hobby.
- 30:02Speaker 2: Other than making games up to torture my friends with.
- 30:06Speaker 2: And this was like a mini PC that I got
- 30:09Speaker 2: for like one hundred and twenty bucks. It wasn't anything special.
- 30:12Speaker 2: It had like an Intel in ninety seven I think,
- 30:18Speaker 2: and it ran a lot of things okay. It struggled
- 30:21Speaker 2: with PS two, but it seemed to handle game Cube okay.
- 30:24Speaker 2: And I just kind of put it together as like
- 30:26Speaker 2: a multi game thing that I could throw in a
- 30:28Speaker 2: bag with four controllers and just go and for a
- 30:32Speaker 2: Dave and for anyone curious about this. Although this really
- 30:35Speaker 2: doesn't have anything to do with Taskmaster, but it's the trip,
- 30:38Speaker 2: so it counts. I've been getting into these lately. These
- 30:41Speaker 2: are game ser controllers. They're like they're like twenty five
- 30:44Speaker 2: thirty bucks and they have hal effect sticks and the
- 30:47Speaker 2: controllers are really genuinely high quality for the price. So
- 30:51Speaker 2: and they are treated as you. Yeah, it comes with
- 30:56Speaker 2: the USBC to USBA wire. It's not very long. I'm
- 31:00Speaker 2: getting longer ones. But yeah, they're like twenty five thirty bucks.
- 31:04Speaker 2: So if you want to if you wanted to build
- 31:06Speaker 2: something like this that they're they're the ideal choice because
- 31:09Speaker 2: they're not expensive and getting four of them won't break you.
- 31:13Speaker 2: So yeah, I literally just took four of those, tossed
- 31:16Speaker 2: them in a bag, and they they act as Microsoft
- 31:20Speaker 2: three sixty controllers in Windows, so they just kind of
- 31:22Speaker 2: automatically picked up in RetroArch and didn't have to do
- 31:26Speaker 2: a lot of reconfiguring. I think the hardest part was
- 31:28Speaker 2: setting it up for the four players in retro Arch,
- 31:33Speaker 2: like getting the four player adapter included the thing. But
- 31:37Speaker 2: once we.
- 31:37Speaker 6: Figured that out, it was go, go go, and where
- 31:41Speaker 6: can people find your game, your Zeam's gain zeam's custom
- 31:44Speaker 6: gaming bills, And.
- 31:46Speaker 2: Honestly, at this point I log for the end. At
- 31:48Speaker 2: this point, I'd rather they didn't because I'm not going
- 31:51Speaker 2: to be doing a lot of stuff for a while.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I've not been able to do a lot of projects recently.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Mostly that was due to the task Master trip. I
- 32:01Speaker 2: spent a lot of time preparing for that. And you know,
- 32:05Speaker 2: now computer parts are so expensive, like the cost of
- 32:10Speaker 2: RAM has shot through the roof and it's only gonna
- 32:12Speaker 2: get worse. So it's it's not really a cost effective
- 32:16Speaker 2: idea to build anything at this point in time. So
- 32:18Speaker 2: I'm probably not going to do a lot more. But
- 32:20Speaker 2: if you are curious, Ziem's games on Facebook is literally
- 32:24Speaker 2: the only place I don't post this stuff anywhere else,
- 32:26Speaker 2: and I pretty much just do it just for my
- 32:27Speaker 2: own entertainment, but other people have appreciated sharing my posts.
- 32:31Speaker 2: So there you go. Rad complete and total digression from
- 32:39Speaker 2: the point of the show and full disclosure.
- 32:41Speaker 6: You were playing Super powmer Man two. Yes, all right, okay,
- 32:45Speaker 6: largely agreed to be the best, but most of my
- 32:47Speaker 6: experience is just with one, and so sometimes the extra
- 32:49Speaker 6: options and weapons and things and two are like, oh,
- 32:52Speaker 6: that's too much.
- 32:53Speaker 2: Just four it was. It was for Hay's favorite favorite
- 32:58Speaker 2: game on Supernintendo, so Play, so we played it a lot,
- 33:01Speaker 2: and uh, you know, remembering him was a good portion
- 33:05Speaker 2: of the reason for a lot of the stuff we
- 33:07Speaker 2: did on this trip. The trophy was our first ever
- 33:10Speaker 2: microphone from episode one. Stevie painted it gold, screwed it
- 33:16Speaker 2: to a big wooden block, put a nice shiny plaque
- 33:19Speaker 2: on the front, said Jorge Memorial Trophy. D F y
- 33:24Speaker 2: t W does task Master three hundred here. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Caroline.
- 33:34Speaker 7: Can we talk about how it's not on actually, like
- 33:37Speaker 7: it's not I know, we're joking about Okay, Like Caroline
- 33:40Speaker 7: but the champion not being here. Not actually, I feel
- 33:46Speaker 7: like that's the one person who should be here for
- 33:48Speaker 7: the what we call him, the post morton.
- 33:52Speaker 4: I want the champions.
- 33:54Speaker 10: Is it a move you know.
- 33:58Speaker 2: At the end of this game that would be shut.
- 34:01Speaker 8: I mean Kristen showed up in the middle of this,
- 34:03Speaker 8: so you never know at this point she could show
- 34:05Speaker 8: up in that Like I heard you mother, the fuckers
- 34:06Speaker 8: were talking about me.
- 34:11Speaker 4: I would retract everything and grubble so fast.
- 34:14Speaker 9: Yeah, immediately any ship I had spoken gone.
- 34:21Speaker 4: No, that's that's her right, that's her privilege as champion.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Yeah here, Yeah, with the rest of us, it makes sense.
- 34:28Speaker 1: We're the ones to don't try to get the fame.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I what okay, So did we get through everybody's favorite
- 34:36Speaker 1: task in the first part for the most part or
- 34:38Speaker 1: not really?
- 34:39Speaker 2: I can't remember. Just Matt's really got a little distracted.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Yeah it happens, squirrels whatnot?
- 34:46Speaker 5: I mean a lot happened. But yeah, anyone else have
- 34:49Speaker 5: a different favorite?
- 34:50Speaker 8: Because my favorite was also the movie one obviously, but
- 34:54Speaker 8: anyone else have a favorite?
- 34:55Speaker 5: Actually, Kristen, did you have a favorite from the show?
- 34:59Speaker 14: I can't get the word potato out of my head.
- 35:04Speaker 2: That drawing one.
- 35:05Speaker 14: It was fantastic. I still I re listened to the episode.
- 35:09Speaker 14: I was just dying laughing.
- 35:12Speaker 11: Fat team task was it's funny thinking about like, oh, favorite,
- 35:17Speaker 11: like favorite, to watch, your favorite, to do your favorite
- 35:20Speaker 11: like because they all are a little different for me
- 35:22Speaker 11: in my head, like favorite too, Like do was ironically
- 35:28Speaker 11: the like you know, Russian doll of the task on
- 35:33Speaker 11: task on task and having to identify what changed like
- 35:37Speaker 11: that was like my brain was like, okay, that I
- 35:39Speaker 11: can do. But it was just very funny to set
- 35:42Speaker 11: up for that particular drawing task and like.
- 35:47Speaker 10: Expressed through my hands how I was feeling. And there
- 35:50Speaker 10: was one moment where like massas something and I just
- 35:53Speaker 10: go what.
- 35:56Speaker 5: Oh it was?
- 35:57Speaker 2: It was so loud.
- 35:58Speaker 9: It was.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Just like and it it's I feel bad because the
- 36:06Speaker 2: audience kind of washed it out a little bit because
- 36:08Speaker 2: they were already laughing at that's not left, not not right,
- 36:13Speaker 2: not right. But when I was editing it, I was
- 36:19Speaker 2: laughing so hard. He's hearing Jen lose it and I'm so.
- 36:24Speaker 10: Bad at my rights and left so to have like
- 36:27Speaker 10: the negative form not that but then not not that.
- 36:29Speaker 10: I got so lost.
- 36:31Speaker 11: It was so funny because I didn't tell Chris about
- 36:34Speaker 11: some of the tasks of the task. He had to
- 36:36Speaker 11: hear me like complain about after I'd done them. But
- 36:39Speaker 11: I don't think I mentioned that one and the second
- 36:43Speaker 11: it's like, these are the only words you can say,
- 36:45Speaker 11: and Matt says not left, not right. Like as he's
- 36:48Speaker 11: reading the task, I look up at Chris and he
- 36:51Speaker 11: just goes in the audience, he just goes, oh no.
- 36:54Speaker 10: And I was like, it was like, forga, this was
- 37:01Speaker 10: the task was just being read.
- 37:03Speaker 11: We just knew it was going to go over poorly.
- 37:05Speaker 11: And then I love that they jumped to a clip
- 37:07Speaker 11: of me and Matt where I've written an.
- 37:09Speaker 10: R and an OWL on one side. I'm like, what,
- 37:11Speaker 10: I don't care what's right and left?
- 37:13Speaker 2: Just go off of this fits.
- 37:16Speaker 10: Yeah, that was funny, A funny one to me.
- 37:22Speaker 9: I loved that one. I was just so surprised by
- 37:27Speaker 9: the end that there were identifiable features.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, in the end, they've done a really good job.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Oh huh. They had the structure of the face, they
- 37:37Speaker 2: had the glasses, the eyes, and they had the the peacocks.
- 37:43Speaker 11: The deep lore of our friendship group we do a
- 37:46Speaker 11: field day every year and this year Matt was the
- 37:49Speaker 11: or was it last year?
- 37:50Speaker 10: Last year?
- 37:52Speaker 4: Well year are we are we still in twenty twenty five?
- 37:55Speaker 2: It was this?
- 37:55Speaker 4: It was this year.
- 37:56Speaker 10: This year our field day.
- 37:58Speaker 11: We had to have an animal and the word rainbow,
- 38:01Speaker 11: and we all painted our faces and so hers was
- 38:05Speaker 11: peacock and rainbow.
- 38:06Speaker 10: And so it was just funny to see that being
- 38:08Speaker 10: the picture, because I was like writing it down, was like,
- 38:10Speaker 10: what do you do? Why are there any circles happening?
- 38:14Speaker 10: What is happening?
- 38:16Speaker 4: And I couldn't just say it.
- 38:17Speaker 7: The words weren't included on the sheet Field twenty twenty five,
- 38:22Speaker 7: ultra peacock, God, I would have gone.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Still, the fact that what you put together was pretty impressive. Oggie,
- 38:33Speaker 2: Carolina and Dave, on the other hand.
- 38:36Speaker 9: Still some identifiable features, the little round glasses and in
- 38:41Speaker 9: the first.
- 38:41Speaker 2: One I thought they actually they had the glass in
- 38:45Speaker 2: your hand with the ice in it. I was like,
- 38:47Speaker 2: and then they started over completely and.
- 38:51Speaker 6: Tossed it aside.
- 38:52Speaker 2: But they did manage to get the glasses in the
- 38:54Speaker 2: brim of the hat and that was about it yet.
- 38:59Speaker 5: But also, oh, that was very fucking fun. How do
- 39:02Speaker 5: you like?
- 39:05Speaker 8: Yeah, I won't even know how to begin, how how
- 39:08Speaker 8: could you even convey something accurately in that.
- 39:11Speaker 4: Form, Oh, I believe it's not left, not right, potato.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Crucial. But each of you hit on like clever ways
- 39:26Speaker 2: of using the using the prompts in a different way,
- 39:29Speaker 2: Like Matt hit on saying the word longer and louder
- 39:33Speaker 2: if you wanted it to be bigger, and Aggie and
- 39:36Speaker 2: Caroline and Dave hit on the potato or oopsie poopsy
- 39:39Speaker 2: as a yes no system, which I thought was pretty
- 39:42Speaker 2: clever as well. So everybody, everybody surprised me and how
- 39:46Speaker 2: they thought differently about a lot of the challenges, Like
- 39:49Speaker 2: Jen brought up the the interlocking task the three of them,
- 39:52Speaker 2: Like Caroline was locked in for the memorization, had it
- 39:57Speaker 2: down pat very clearly one that one, but the figuring
- 40:02Speaker 2: out the differences, she was completely lost. And Jen was
- 40:06Speaker 2: locked in on that one totally and completely. She's just
- 40:09Speaker 2: rattling them off like one after another, And I was like,
- 40:13Speaker 2: this is Jen's task for sure.
- 40:15Speaker 11: Yeah, the rest of us, the rest of us well,
- 40:22Speaker 11: I mean, those were some of the moments where like
- 40:24Speaker 11: I laughed the hardest, Like there was often a lot
- 40:27Speaker 11: of times, especially that first night when we were like
- 40:29Speaker 11: starting to get the flow and like figure out the
- 40:31Speaker 11: dynamics and all of that, where I kind of forgot
- 40:35Speaker 11: that there was an audience that like it. Just like
- 40:38Speaker 11: we were just laughing so hard at like this collective
- 40:43Speaker 11: delusion of doing all of these.
- 40:45Speaker 10: Things and like realizing what the real the way, the
- 40:49Speaker 10: way to do.
- 40:50Speaker 11: The task, the like cleanest way, and we like they
- 40:53Speaker 11: always said that there's like one clean way to do it.
- 40:55Speaker 11: And then obviously like creativity can get you to where
- 40:59Speaker 11: you need to go. But yeah, I think that first,
- 41:02Speaker 11: and I I was like crying laughing through a lot
- 41:05Speaker 11: of the tasks.
- 41:08Speaker 6: Well, and not to sound too hoity toity about it,
- 41:11Speaker 6: but like, you know, I don't know. To me, the
- 41:13Speaker 6: part of the whole purpose of art is like revealing
- 41:17Speaker 6: how the artist's brain works, you know, to like like
- 41:21Speaker 6: what is the inside of your brain? Like, and so
- 41:24Speaker 6: seeing the different ways that everyone accomplished the tasks was
- 41:28Speaker 6: was really felt like the absolute peak of creativity, you know, like, oh,
- 41:32Speaker 6: this is how your brain approached this challenge in this
- 41:36Speaker 6: really interesting and and in fact entertaining way. And so
- 41:40Speaker 6: that's I mean, and that's part of what was so
- 41:43Speaker 6: brilliant and hopefully like entertaining about watching that kind of
- 41:47Speaker 6: thing is giving the audience the chance to be delight
- 41:50Speaker 6: equally delighted about like, oh my gosh, they all solve
- 41:53Speaker 6: those problems completely differently or failed ridiculously to solve the problems.
- 42:01Speaker 11: It's also fun to see when we completely lined up
- 42:03Speaker 11: and did things like the same, like the one with
- 42:07Speaker 11: the shirt Memet did almost exactly the same, and we're
- 42:10Speaker 11: within seconds of each other, yea, with all of our
- 42:13Speaker 11: choices and I had a cut like me and Caroline
- 42:17Speaker 11: both were like, let's take it to miming when it
- 42:19Speaker 11: came to working with piring, because it was like, Okay,
- 42:23Speaker 11: I don't, I don't, I don't know what you're saying,
- 42:25Speaker 11: so let's communicate some other way. And so it was
- 42:28Speaker 11: just funny to also see how we like aligned in
- 42:33Speaker 11: the way that we tried.
- 42:34Speaker 14: Yeah, I can see what's happen being in the audience.
- 42:40Speaker 14: You're watching the videos everybody doing the tasks and seeing
- 42:42Speaker 14: how everybody does them differently, but also you're seeing, you, guys,
- 42:47Speaker 14: see how everybody else did it. So it's really neat
- 42:51Speaker 14: to see you guys experiencing how everybody else did it
- 42:55Speaker 14: for the first time as well, like the facial expressions
- 42:58Speaker 14: and stuff.
- 42:59Speaker 2: It was fantastic's mind blowing.
- 43:01Speaker 6: Yeah, like you know when you've got the pressure of
- 43:03Speaker 6: the timer and you land on all right, well, this
- 43:06Speaker 6: is how I'm going to solve this problem, like kind
- 43:08Speaker 6: of to the exclusion of all with the pressure of
- 43:11Speaker 6: a time limit, you exclude all other possibilities, right, Like, Nope,
- 43:15Speaker 6: this is how I'm gonna figure it out. This is
- 43:16Speaker 6: how I'm gonna do it. You don't even consider other ways.
- 43:19Speaker 6: That's so it's a particular delight. It's particular delight to
- 43:22Speaker 6: see how everyone else's brain worked and like the totally
- 43:26Speaker 6: lateral ways to approach some of the problem solving. It
- 43:30Speaker 6: was really just super fun to watch and yeah, even
- 43:34Speaker 6: even better for us having to do it. And that's
- 43:36Speaker 6: why immediately after we recorded those the ones that I could, like,
- 43:42Speaker 6: I immediately went and had my kids do it, Like
- 43:44Speaker 6: I got off the video call with you, Randolf and like, okay, oh,
- 43:49Speaker 6: you guys got to try this because it's just really
- 43:51Speaker 6: really fun. And of course they all approached it differently,
- 43:54Speaker 6: especially because they're different ages. You know, my nine year
- 43:57Speaker 6: old just did it ridiculous, just trying to be funny
- 44:00Speaker 6: in my fourteen year old tried so hard to get
- 44:02Speaker 6: them roll right and do the best. And my wife
- 44:06Speaker 6: doesn't really care. I should say, I don't care about
- 44:11Speaker 6: that's selling she's not competitive.
- 44:13Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 44:13Speaker 7: Yeah, And that's a perfectly balanced task master lineup right there,
- 44:17Speaker 7: just like how I felt with the five of us,
- 44:19Speaker 7: Like it felt like Aaron had made some good choices
- 44:22Speaker 7: in terms of who I mean. I'm glad he chose
- 44:25Speaker 7: me to be involved. This was a dream come true.
- 44:27Speaker 7: But it was five different brains that had enough overlap
- 44:31Speaker 7: in some places but ultimately produced different results. And yeah,
- 44:36Speaker 7: if I'm so glad christ and it paid off the
- 44:39Speaker 7: joy of like seeing us see it back because it
- 44:42Speaker 7: was so joyous to It's the question that had been
- 44:45Speaker 7: on our minds for six months, was I wonder how
- 44:48Speaker 7: everyone else did? And so being able to see it
- 44:50Speaker 7: and be like, oh, that's a way that this could
- 44:53Speaker 7: have been taken or that's genius. I never would have
- 44:56Speaker 7: thought of that. It was just it was such a joy.
- 45:00Speaker 10: Yeah, Audrey, which one was your favorite to judge?
- 45:07Speaker 9: Oh God, I'd have to look at my notes.
- 45:10Speaker 10: I think.
- 45:12Speaker 9: I loved any of them that had I know this
- 45:16Speaker 9: goes back to the first one. But I love any
- 45:18Speaker 9: of them that had many situations where y'all were being goofy,
- 45:24Speaker 9: because yes, I took great joy in ranking the ranking
- 45:31Speaker 9: the things and handing out the points and being in
- 45:33Speaker 9: a position of power. But the most fun is the
- 45:36Speaker 9: thing of what and why did you say that are
- 45:44Speaker 9: calling out the question of like if you were Jesus Christ,
- 45:49Speaker 9: what would your body and blood?
- 45:51Speaker 11: Legitimately, we went back to Audrey and Matt's house to
- 45:54Speaker 11: like do our decompression after that recording, and we were like, okay,
- 45:57Speaker 11: everyone's share, Like I've maybe asked that at my entire job,
- 46:01Speaker 11: like we we always ask questions in our warehouse. And
- 46:04Speaker 11: I was like, all right, y'all, and okay, I have
- 46:06Speaker 11: to tell you that's unhinged one because tangent.
- 46:09Speaker 10: But I asked my coworkers this, and one of them
- 46:12Speaker 10: said that their blood would be mayo. That's terrific.
- 46:19Speaker 11: Another said that their their blood would be honey mustard.
- 46:22Speaker 11: And so I was like, well, then you just need
- 46:24Speaker 11: one more person to hit the holy trinity of.
- 46:33Speaker 4: The chicken sandwich factor. Of course, yes, but it was
- 46:36Speaker 4: just a.
- 46:37Speaker 10: Joy to like, yeah, see how people.
- 46:41Speaker 4: Cleep in my mind?
- 46:42Speaker 11: And I was like, how I asked what his favorite
- 46:46Speaker 11: sports team was, and you asked, what if he was
- 46:49Speaker 11: Jesus Christ?
- 46:53Speaker 4: Blood, your body and your blood.
- 46:55Speaker 2: I was I was hoping somebody would ask some unhinged questions.
- 46:59Speaker 1: It was.
- 47:01Speaker 2: Just because I mean, this task shared a lot in
- 47:03Speaker 2: common with one from season series five where is it four?
- 47:08Speaker 2: With Bob Mortimer? I think it was series five? Uh
- 47:11Speaker 2: and and Bob Mortimer just asked questions that made no sense. Whatsoever?
- 47:16Speaker 2: Do we strike you?
- 47:17Speaker 4: Yes, Ultra says stolen. Probably once someone.
- 47:24Speaker 2: Reasons what's your favorite meat?
- 47:27Speaker 9: Like?
- 47:30Speaker 2: So I was hoping there was gonna be some of that,
- 47:32Speaker 2: and Caroline thankfully delivered. But yeah, that was that was
- 47:37Speaker 2: That was a fun one. That was a fun one.
- 47:40Speaker 11: Let's talk stage tasks were when you were thinking about
- 47:45Speaker 11: what we were going to do.
- 47:48Speaker 10: In real life. What was like your thought process?
- 47:51Speaker 11: I'm like, okay, it needs to be something like easy
- 47:54Speaker 11: enough to do, like obviously you were, there was gonna
- 47:58Speaker 11: be too much set to it because our spatial recognition
- 48:01Speaker 11: and all of that.
- 48:02Speaker 10: Yeah, were also very fun.
- 48:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I would have liked to have done some more creative.
- 48:08Speaker 2: If I could go back and change one thing, I
- 48:10Speaker 2: probably would have made the first night's task more creative
- 48:14Speaker 2: based rather than rather than luck based, because they were
- 48:17Speaker 2: both in a way. They were both luck based, but
- 48:20Speaker 2: the second one had more of a press your luck
- 48:22Speaker 2: sort of element to it, so so it felt a
- 48:25Speaker 2: little bit like gambling every time you decided to hit,
- 48:27Speaker 2: which yeah, so yeah, So if I could do the
- 48:31Speaker 2: first one over again, I probably would, But I definitely
- 48:34Speaker 2: did like the idea of like, what's the sexiest number,
- 48:39Speaker 2: what's the silliest number? What you know, all these other
- 48:42Speaker 2: things that went through my head, and I eventually settled
- 48:44Speaker 2: on the ones that we used in the show. But
- 48:50Speaker 2: the second one is was like I was, I was
- 48:55Speaker 2: looking for something else to do, and I had just
- 48:58Speaker 2: found this board game called Flip seven, which is effectively
- 49:02Speaker 2: that same game, but instead of a standard deck of
- 49:05Speaker 2: playing cards, there are cards numbered one through twelve, and
- 49:08Speaker 2: there are that many cards of that number in the
- 49:11Speaker 2: deck I played the weeks ago, and they are also
- 49:16Speaker 2: they're also worth that many points, So the higher value
- 49:20Speaker 2: card you get, the more likely you are to bust
- 49:23Speaker 2: if you keep going. And there's there's a bunch of
- 49:26Speaker 2: other things thrown in there, like there's second chances and
- 49:29Speaker 2: freezing and stuff and I was like, Oh, I really
- 49:31Speaker 2: like this. It's too bad I can't get a giant
- 49:33Speaker 2: set of flip seven cards. We could do this on stage.
- 49:37Speaker 2: And then I thought, well, wait a minute, what if
- 49:38Speaker 2: I just do it with a regular deck of cards?
- 49:41Speaker 2: Like it wouldn't It wouldn't be that different, except for
- 49:44Speaker 2: all the cards have the same chance of busting you,
- 49:46Speaker 2: So it's just a matter of like somebody could have
- 49:49Speaker 2: if they were insanely bold and incredibly lucky, they could
- 49:53Speaker 2: have walked away with fourteen points. So I the one
- 49:56Speaker 2: thing I liked about making that the second night's task
- 49:59Speaker 2: is it meant that anybody could win the show or
- 50:03Speaker 2: possibly even the series, if they were crazy enough and
- 50:07Speaker 2: lucky enough to go for it.
- 50:09Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 50:09Speaker 10: I was talking to someone and then they were like,
- 50:11Speaker 10: why did you keep going?
- 50:12Speaker 11: And I was like, well, I knew how closed me
- 50:15Speaker 11: and Caroline were in points, so I was like, if
- 50:18Speaker 11: I stop and she keeps going, that's it's it's right there.
- 50:22Speaker 11: So I was like, I told myself, I will keep
- 50:25Speaker 11: going and until Caroline keeps going.
- 50:27Speaker 10: So she hit. I hit like if she were to stop, I.
- 50:30Speaker 11: Would have stopped because I was like, there's no there's
- 50:34Speaker 11: literally no chance if I don't do that.
- 50:37Speaker 10: So every time she did it, I was like, you're
- 50:40Speaker 10: giving me stress. She just wouldn't stop.
- 50:44Speaker 9: I've committed to this internally and now it has to happen.
- 50:49Speaker 10: No one else knows this, but I do.
- 50:51Speaker 1: So.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Yeah, in the end of you had stopped it, I mean,
- 50:59Speaker 2: the cards coming out would have changed. So I don't
- 51:01Speaker 2: know if Caroline would have busted. Yeah, I didn't. I didn't.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I didn't track it, and I you know, I didn't.
- 51:07Speaker 2: I didn't check that and I probably should have, but
- 51:12Speaker 2: I was just swept up in the moment. I was
- 51:14Speaker 2: just trying to get through the game. But as it happened,
- 51:18Speaker 2: she she won the whole series by five points. So
- 51:21Speaker 2: I think even if you'd stopped, you still would have lost. Yeah,
- 51:26Speaker 2: so I think you made the right move for sure.
- 51:29Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Dave, what's up?
- 51:30Speaker 6: So my question is, well, uh so, my favorite task
- 51:33Speaker 6: I think was finding the free thing on Craigslister Facebook
- 51:38Speaker 6: marketplace because it was so open ended and I feel
- 51:43Speaker 6: like I had a vision in my mind of the
- 51:46Speaker 6: kind of thing I hoped to find, and of course
- 51:50Speaker 6: and what I ended up finding was completely different, just
- 51:53Speaker 6: completely not what I envisioned. But when you assigned as
- 51:57Speaker 6: that task, was there anything that you expected someone to find?
- 52:02Speaker 6: Was there anything in particular like you had in your
- 52:05Speaker 6: mind that like, oh, I bet someone will bring this,
- 52:08Speaker 6: or I bet someone will probably inevitably wind up with,
- 52:12Speaker 6: you know, some grandmother's old dishwaar set, or did you
- 52:16Speaker 6: have any like mental vision that either got confirmed or
- 52:21Speaker 6: or or just obliterated.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Not really. I think I was surprised just as much
- 52:27Speaker 2: as anybody else by a lot of the choices that
- 52:29Speaker 2: were made. And Matt, I think, made a brilliant choice
- 52:33Speaker 2: of just saying fuck it. If I can't get something legitimately,
- 52:37Speaker 2: I'll just fake it, which was great for the show.
- 52:41Speaker 2: So yeah, I love that bite. But there was there
- 52:45Speaker 2: were some times when I thought, oh, maybe they'll actually
- 52:48Speaker 2: do that, Like when Jen suggested getting a cat, I'm like, oh,
- 52:53Speaker 2: what if somebody gets stopped, somebody gets somebody actually gets
- 52:59Speaker 2: a lie The animal for this task be a basic.
- 53:04Speaker 7: That's what was tempting. There were in the first look
- 53:08Speaker 7: live chickens, and I was like, this is possible.
- 53:13Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 53:14Speaker 11: There was live guinea pigs and they were free, and
- 53:18Speaker 11: they were like good, you know for you to a
- 53:20Speaker 11: good home whatever.
- 53:21Speaker 10: And I walked into my living room and I said, Chris,
- 53:23Speaker 10: how do you feel about rodents? He was like, stop
- 53:29Speaker 10: take care of them. You're like, well, what if the
- 53:32Speaker 10: boys are going to do our cats would hate that.
- 53:34Speaker 10: I was like, yeah, but it's for the bit, Chris,
- 53:39Speaker 10: it's for the bit. For the bit.
- 53:42Speaker 6: Baby all hailed a bit because in my mind, I
- 53:48Speaker 6: think what I what I started out looking for, was
- 53:51Speaker 6: something akin to what we would give it like a
- 53:54Speaker 6: White Elephant Christmas party, where you're looking for the worst
- 53:57Speaker 6: gift and you try to find something that's like obnoxious,
- 54:01Speaker 6: you know, like our favorite gifts are something that is
- 54:03Speaker 6: disgusting or makes a loud noise. Some of our favorite
- 54:09Speaker 6: White Elephant gifts in the past have been like some canned,
- 54:14Speaker 6: some like jar someone did some canning, like they canned
- 54:17Speaker 6: some really old like peaches or something and have been
- 54:20Speaker 6: sitting in a basement for twenty years like in the
- 54:23Speaker 6: Bell jars, or or we found some like really obnoxious,
- 54:28Speaker 6: like a toy that's like an off brand Christmas toy
- 54:31Speaker 6: with a very hideous little elf that makes a terrible
- 54:34Speaker 6: jingle when you play it, like something like that. That's
- 54:37Speaker 6: kind of what I expected to find. That's what I
- 54:39Speaker 6: was looking for going in, and it turned out to
- 54:42Speaker 6: be just not that in any way.
- 54:44Speaker 2: When I had finished recording with everybody, Like the first
- 54:48Speaker 2: thought that went through my head about thinking about, like
- 54:50Speaker 2: what would be the ideal get for this, it was
- 54:54Speaker 2: something that tells the story right, And Dave and Jen
- 54:57Speaker 2: both knocked out of the park, Like Dave got the
- 55:00Speaker 2: set of the set of movie standing found and she
- 55:06Speaker 2: gave me nothing found in the basement of a home
- 55:09Speaker 2: that used to belong to a ninety one year old man,
- 55:14Speaker 2: Like why was that the only thing down there? Why?
- 55:18Speaker 9: Like it was important enough for him to collect them
- 55:22Speaker 9: at one point, but there's a but not.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Important enough to take with him how and it's the
- 55:28Speaker 2: only thing he left he took everything else.
- 55:31Speaker 7: How old is Crumwell? The hows Crumwell? Because it could
- 55:35Speaker 7: have been James Cromwell.
- 55:39Speaker 2: I was unaware he lived in central New York.
- 55:41Speaker 6: But okay, maintains a home here, loves it.
- 55:44Speaker 2: But it's similarly Gens. Gens was perfect.
- 55:49Speaker 10: Clutch right at the end, like.
- 55:51Speaker 2: The weddings, the end of the marriage, Oh.
- 55:54Speaker 11: My god, at the end, I had been scrolling so much.
- 56:01Speaker 11: I was scrawling all over Colorado. Every time I took
- 56:03Speaker 11: a trip, I would look at the place around me
- 56:06Speaker 11: like it was like my life for like three months
- 56:10Speaker 11: to just scroll Facebook, Marketplace and crixlist, and I was
- 56:15Speaker 11: like getting down to the wire. I almost was gonna
- 56:17Speaker 11: pull mat and like what is this going to be?
- 56:20Speaker 11: And then literally I picked it up. You asked for
- 56:24Speaker 11: everything on Friday and I picked it up on Tuesday,
- 56:27Speaker 11: like it was. It was down to the wire for
- 56:32Speaker 11: grabbing that, and I think the icing on the top
- 56:36Speaker 11: that I was like, yeah, that was the funniest thing
- 56:38Speaker 11: that I did, was just dumping the sand in a sandwich, like.
- 56:43Speaker 10: Grabbing that and just lifting it up got such a
- 56:46Speaker 10: laugh and I was like, yeah, I'm so glad I
- 56:49Speaker 10: did that.
- 56:51Speaker 6: You didn't have to.
- 56:52Speaker 10: There was no reason, no reason to it last.
- 56:56Speaker 11: That was like a last minute I'm packing everything up
- 56:58Speaker 11: and I was like, you know what, I'll bring the
- 56:59Speaker 11: sand just for the sake of bringing it.
- 57:02Speaker 10: And yeah, it was great.
- 57:03Speaker 2: But Jen keeping her eye on the bit, keeping on
- 57:07Speaker 2: the bit there for the bit.
- 57:10Speaker 4: It's the Chris.
- 57:15Speaker 11: He's literally sitting in the living room right there, and
- 57:17Speaker 11: he said, why do you keep saying my name?
- 57:21Speaker 10: That's for the bits for.

- 57:47Speaker 1: you are a fan of the Green head on over
- 57:49Speaker 1: to Peace Love and Bud at three twenty self Transit
- 57:53Speaker 1: Road in Lockport, New York. Tell him. B F y
- 57:55Speaker 1: tw SENTA able to hook you up.
- 58:08Speaker 2: Hello, welcome back for the final part of our bfy
- 58:11Speaker 2: tw does Task Master post mortem. We're hanging here with
- 58:16Speaker 2: nearly the entire cast Matty, Aggie, Jen, and Dave. Just
- 58:24Speaker 2: one missing, can't think of who that. But we also
- 58:33Speaker 2: have joining us Kristen from on the Lunai podcast. Welcome,
- 58:39Speaker 2: thanks for coming. Thanks for coming both to the show
- 58:41Speaker 2: and to the Colorado trip, to the show, to the
- 58:46Speaker 2: show and to the show, to both shows. My pleasure. Yeah, no,
- 58:49Speaker 2: happy to have you. So during the break we were
- 58:52Speaker 2: talking about like, did we get to everybody's favorite task?
- 58:55Speaker 2: And I I still have trouble picking my favorite task,
- 58:58Speaker 2: but I informed everybody that I do have a least
- 59:01Speaker 2: favorite task. And it was the Team Battle rap task
- 59:05Speaker 2: for sure for a number of reasons. Really wasn't that bad.
- 59:10Speaker 2: I know, I yeah, no, there's there's a number of things.
- 59:14Speaker 2: First of all, like I did not think at the time,
- 59:17Speaker 2: I didn't really I had a vague idea, but basically
- 59:21Speaker 2: I was forcing myself into the role of a rap
- 59:24Speaker 2: song producer because I had to put I had to
- 59:27Speaker 2: find music that was, you know, both royalty free and like,
- 59:33Speaker 2: could make a good beat and could fit to these
- 59:37Speaker 2: these songs you guys had created. Now, thankfully Matt and
- 59:41Speaker 2: Jen had actually stayed on a rhythm like it was
- 59:44Speaker 2: very easy to line you guys up with the song
- 59:47Speaker 2: that I wound up picking that match that matched your
- 59:50Speaker 2: your speed, So that was very easy. Oggie, Dave and Carolina,
- 59:55Speaker 2: on the other hand, holy crap like that. There were
- 59:58Speaker 2: there were three different times you were on different beats,
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: and I was like, why didn't I have some kind
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: of like metronome or something up to keep the beat
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: for them so they could stick to If I could
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: do this task again, That's the first thing I'd changed
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: is I would have a beat ready for them and
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: they would just rap to that so they could they
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: could arrange their their lyrics. They could arrange the whole
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: thing to to that particular song or that particular beat,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: and it would it would come out a little bit better.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: As it was, I had to slow Augie down so
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: you can you can audibly hear he's his voice is
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: shifted about pitch and a half too low. But if
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: if I if I raised the pitch, he would have
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: sounded like a robot. Like the it doesn't quite work
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: any different, It just it's it sounded better to leave
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: you pitch shift low.
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: And I tried to real quick grab a beat in
- 1:00:58Speaker 6: my audio production software, and you rightly told me, like, no, Dave,
- 1:01:03Speaker 6: don't worry about that. That's going to take too much time.
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: I'm going to do it in pose, which was the
- 1:01:07Speaker 6: right thing to do obviously, but like to your point, yeah,
- 1:01:14Speaker 6: I think just at least having a consistent tempo, even
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: it was if it was just a metronome to go off,
- 1:01:20Speaker 6: because again, it's how everybody's brain works, right, Like what
- 1:01:24Speaker 6: is your mental when you just he like, like, imagine
- 1:01:28Speaker 6: a rap song in your head, what is the beat?
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Like?
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: You know for everyone is different.
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: That it was.
- 1:01:36Speaker 11: That's too much work. It was, Oh, Matt, your line
- 1:01:39Speaker 11: makes more sense. First you start, he picked a beat
- 1:01:44Speaker 11: and I said, fantastic. I am really good at mimicking
- 1:01:47Speaker 11: and being on someone else's timing. And then we just
- 1:01:49Speaker 11: like fell into time. So that was not planned. That
- 1:01:52Speaker 11: was just sorry, man, you're going first. You have to
- 1:01:55Speaker 11: establish the beat and the rhythm, and then I just
- 1:02:00Speaker 11: like we just stuck to it, and.
- 1:02:03Speaker 13: I did.
- 1:02:03Speaker 7: We did a solid job, as it turns out. But
- 1:02:06Speaker 7: I didn't think until you just mentioned that, Aaron, what
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: was strange about doing that rap? Because like now being
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: part of an improv community, I've I've wrapped more often
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: than I would like to admit, but it's always there's
- 1:02:20Speaker 7: like a backing track there to like do it along,
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: to to do like Beastie rap or something like that,
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: and it's it was doing the task. I was like,
- 1:02:28Speaker 7: something that felt weird about that, but I can't I
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: can't quite put my finger on it. Oh well, uh,
- 1:02:33Speaker 7: and yeah, I guess like if there was a beat there,
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: but even then with two of us we can, like
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: Jen said, we can find that rhythm, but when it's
- 1:02:40Speaker 7: three of you, that's so much harder.
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: Yeah, and one hand, I agree. A metronome would definitely
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: have made it way better and it would have made
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: the ending process waysier.
- 1:02:51Speaker 2: Oh god.
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: But on the other hand, I.
- 1:02:54Speaker 15: Feel like everything we needed to know was written in
- 1:02:56Speaker 15: the desk, so fair, all the information was in the
- 1:03:05Speaker 15: TASKO true.
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: I'm just saying, but yeah, it was fun.
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: It was jarring, but fun.
- 1:03:17Speaker 4: Safe to last as well.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: And I do have to apologize to Jen. I don't
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: know if I did this on the day, but I
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: that was the not rhyming thing. Was one of the
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: few jokes that I that I wrote ahead of time,
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: and it was only afterwards. It was only in the
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: moment that I went what makes me think that I
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: have the right to criticize anyone in doing this? Anyone
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: at all? Not only am I white and middle aged?
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: But the last rap song I listened to on purpose
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: was by Buster Rhymes, probably fifteen or sixteen years ago. Yeah,
- 1:03:58Speaker 2: it's still in my still in my song rotation because
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: it's fucking awesome. But it was so funny.
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: When's the what's on which track?
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Oh, it's the one where he lists off the all
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: the states and he goes wyoming fuck it, which always
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: always makes me laugh always. It's everybody Rise is what
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: it's called everybody rise.
- 1:04:25Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:04:27Speaker 11: Now, I just thought it as an opportunity for a
- 1:04:29Speaker 11: ris and it was just funny because like it was
- 1:04:33Speaker 11: in the moment where I was like, Okay, it was
- 1:04:37Speaker 11: one of those things that when I wrote it out
- 1:04:40Speaker 11: it looked good, but then I like the way I
- 1:04:44Speaker 11: said it didn't communicate all of it. And with the
- 1:04:48Speaker 11: addition of laughs in the room and all of those things,
- 1:04:53Speaker 11: not every there was a ton of word play in there.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, to be real clear, Gen's flow and her
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: wordplay were both on point.
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: I think it just.
- 1:05:04Speaker 10: Didn't come off that way. And then yeah, I just
- 1:05:07Speaker 10: saw the opportunity when they were like the other team
- 1:05:09Speaker 10: did better, and I was like, no, they didn't. Like
- 1:05:12Speaker 10: I was like, we're just gonna we're gonna take this opportunity.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: Why you both went. One of my favorite things about
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: that test is each of you when you had finished
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: to turn the other team and went dope, dope, and
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: it was delightful.
- 1:05:30Speaker 4: It was delightful.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: So but I mean the audience clearly loved them both,
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: like clearly clearly loved both raps.
- 1:05:36Speaker 11: So I mean, I mean that's peak embarrassment ship, especially
- 1:05:39Speaker 11: after watching I have to talk to a stranger.
- 1:05:43Speaker 10: And then like be like, oh, how are you going
- 1:05:46Speaker 10: to translate that?
- 1:05:47Speaker 11: And then yeah, and especially when it's all darring, like
- 1:05:50Speaker 11: that person gets off the call and it's like hey,
- 1:05:52Speaker 11: you make something and you're like, okay, what sure?
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: But you guys an amazing yeah, absolutely, amazing.
- 1:06:04Speaker 6: Wow cringe I get. Like, I mean that's also my
- 1:06:08Speaker 6: hope for the audience is that it's not like cringe
- 1:06:10Speaker 6: embarrassment humor.
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: Like ales are making.
- 1:06:14Speaker 6: Fools of themselves. No, like I hopefully we all seemed
- 1:06:17Speaker 6: like just the people having fun.
- 1:06:21Speaker 10: And I mean that is task Master, right.
- 1:06:22Speaker 11: Like when I was talking too Mad about it and
- 1:06:25Speaker 11: like Chris about it, I was like, literally, I'm volunteering
- 1:06:28Speaker 11: for a thing where the person running it is trying
- 1:06:33Speaker 11: to get me.
- 1:06:34Speaker 10: Like it's a lot of gotcha moments.
- 1:06:35Speaker 11: That's the point, Like they're setting you up, Like all
- 1:06:39Speaker 11: of the tasks on the actual show are meant to
- 1:06:42Speaker 11: be like yeah, there's a clear two minute path to.
- 1:06:44Speaker 10: Doing this, but like you're not in the mindset for it.
- 1:06:47Speaker 10: Your this is your three pm.
- 1:06:49Speaker 11: You're on craft Services and it's been a long day
- 1:06:52Speaker 11: and you're doing all of these tasks and your brain
- 1:06:54Speaker 11: is tired, Like yeah, you're gonna do things that you
- 1:06:56Speaker 11: wouldn't have done in sound mind. But that's kind of
- 1:06:58Speaker 11: that's the fun of it. It's watching medians make fun
- 1:07:00Speaker 11: of themselves. And so it was like yeah, like yeah,
- 1:07:04Speaker 11: there was a little like no.
- 1:07:05Speaker 10: Point did I actually feel embarrassed for the thing that
- 1:07:07Speaker 10: I did.
- 1:07:08Speaker 11: It was like it's situations that others in real life,
- 1:07:13Speaker 11: if not orchestrated, it would feel embarrassed. Like if if
- 1:07:16Speaker 11: on the street someone was like make up or wrap
- 1:07:18Speaker 11: and you just did something, it would feel embarrassing. But
- 1:07:21Speaker 11: like in the confines of microphone, Yeah, but the same
- 1:07:26Speaker 11: environment where it's like, hey, this is for entertainment.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: Entertain Yeah, And and honestly, Jen, you've hit on. Like
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: that's the exact reason why I said in my speech
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: that I was immensely grateful to the six of you
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: for all saying yes and so quickly to doing this,
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: because it implied that you trusted me to not push
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: things too far, to not put you in the most
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: embarrassing light possible. And and I really was grateful the
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: way things laid out, because, as it happens, everybody had
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: a tech in which they excelled, Like every everybody had
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: at least one thing in which they were brilliant, And
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: I was so happy that nobody had just an awful
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: time like repeatedly falling down a hill, you know soun
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: so yeah, it could have been funny, to be fair,
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: You've done right, it would have been.
- 1:08:22Speaker 14: But they had great banter while discussing the tasks together,
- 1:08:27Speaker 14: and none of it was felt mean spirited in any way.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: It was fun.
- 1:08:31Speaker 14: It was It was a nice back and forth flow
- 1:08:34Speaker 14: between everybody.
- 1:08:35Speaker 6: Oh, it is a joy to riff with fun, funny,
- 1:08:39Speaker 6: quick thinking people. And like everyone was so like I
- 1:08:43Speaker 6: had the time of my life up there with y'all. Uh,
- 1:08:47Speaker 6: you are all just so just very very game and
- 1:08:51Speaker 6: also just genuinely funny and and and also I feel
- 1:08:54Speaker 6: like I need to I think I told you all
- 1:08:56Speaker 6: this at the time too, Like it makes me feel
- 1:08:58Speaker 6: like I gotta be like like up my game and
- 1:09:01Speaker 6: make sure I'm I'm thinking quick to match the funny
- 1:09:04Speaker 6: of everyone else, because you were all just so wonderful.
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: That's amazing, Joy, absolute joy.
- 1:09:12Speaker 6: Don't everyone reciprocate all at once, just like.
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: We were so happy to carry your ask. We were
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: so happy.
- 1:09:25Speaker 5: Honestly, I was just going to sit here in silence
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: and see how long it took.
- 1:09:31Speaker 11: Its fun to strangers with people and immediately click, like
- 1:09:35Speaker 11: me and Dave never met each other, and like it was,
- 1:09:38Speaker 11: you know, you gave me a great compliment of being
- 1:09:40Speaker 11: very funny and telling Chris like she's a great fouriel.
- 1:09:43Speaker 11: Like it felt like I could riz and play and
- 1:09:47Speaker 11: have those moments. And one of my favorite moments of
- 1:09:50Speaker 11: both nights was when we had to vamp because we
- 1:09:52Speaker 11: had some technical issues and it was just like all
- 1:09:56Speaker 11: of us were just like, all right, let's do it,
- 1:09:58Speaker 11: and like it was still like it was, it flowed,
- 1:10:01Speaker 11: It felt funny. It felt like a group of people
- 1:10:04Speaker 11: like coming together, like it built a lot of trust.
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: And I knew I could trust you all immediately, Like
- 1:10:11Speaker 6: it felt very safe, and you know, so I always
- 1:10:14Speaker 6: looked great.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: I'm just gonna tell you right now. I cut that
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: out of the first night's episode, but I saved it
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: so we could post it later as a blooper, so
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: you guys will still be able to enjoy that. But
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: I wanted the episodes to look as much like an
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: episode of task Master as I could, so I tried
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: to cut as many technical issues out as I could Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: that is going to be it for us. Thank you
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: to everybody for coming along on this insane journey. And
- 1:10:49Speaker 2: I don't just mean the cast members in the room.
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: I'm talking to Stevie and Augie as well, and I'm
- 1:10:55Speaker 2: talking to Kristen for being one of our biggest fans
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: and for constantly supporting everything we do. Thank you so much.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: This would not have been possible without each and every
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: one of you, and I'm so grateful that it turned
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: out as well as it did. And I just wish
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: the only wish that I have is that I had
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: another trip to come visit y'all without all of the
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: stress and without all of this stuff, so that I
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: could have just relaxed and enjoyed it. But as it was,
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: I was an anxious ball of anxiety for two full days.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: And uh yeah that that that was not the most
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: fun part of it.
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: But the end results anxiety about it experience for all
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: of us, the end result was incredible.
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: Such a great point, David.
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: End result was incredible.
- 1:11:42Speaker 7: I will say thank you Aaron so much for all
- 1:11:44Speaker 7: of the anxiety you felt, all of the stress, the
- 1:11:48Speaker 7: extra work, because it meant we could we could put
- 1:11:51Speaker 7: on two of the easiest shows I think we've ever
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: had to do because you did all of the hard
- 1:11:56Speaker 7: work for us, so we just got to have a
- 1:11:59Speaker 7: great time with great people.
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: And it was wonderful knowing what you were going through
- 1:12:05Speaker 6: because those four days were an escape for me from
- 1:12:08Speaker 6: my own high stress producer role, which congratulations on your show,
- 1:12:14Speaker 6: by the way, well thank you, but like I appreciate that,
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: but also like good God, the stress of being in
- 1:12:20Speaker 6: charge and the stress of being the producer and making
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: sure that you are the one on whom everything depends.
- 1:12:26Speaker 6: Like I so appreciate everything you did because for the
- 1:12:30Speaker 6: rest of us it meant that we just got to
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: show up, relax, enjoy ourselves, be funny, and all your
- 1:12:36Speaker 6: hard work paid off so so much.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: And I will I will wear that hat every time
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: because one of my favorite things is showing the world
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: how funny and how awesome my friends are, and I
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: got to do that in a big, big way. So
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: thank you once again for letting me do this and
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: for joining me on this crazy journey that is going
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: to be it from us, you can follow the gate
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: Lapers wherever you can find podcasts. I cannot recommend it

- 1:13:05Speaker 2: is a regular guest, and I'm a regular guest. There's
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: no reason not to come hang out. But do you
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: guys have any more plugs you want to give about
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: your show or anything else you've got coming up? Any
- 1:13:14Speaker 2: live shows coming up?
- 1:13:16Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:13:17Speaker 7: I mean, look, we're gonna be based in Colorado Springs.
- 1:13:20Speaker 7: Apart from maybe we're gonna be playing some conventions starting
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: this year. That's all this upcoming year. What is it
- 1:13:26Speaker 7: twenty twenty six yet? Like for almost Sorry, I'm just
- 1:13:31Speaker 7: itching for it. But we will do a show pretty
- 1:13:35Speaker 7: much every second Friday of the month. The Peak Improv
