- 0:06Speaker 2: When you're on the road, when you're on the go,
- 0:09Speaker 2: Juicy Scoop is the show to know. She talks Hollywood
- 0:13Speaker 2: tales for real life.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Mr.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Saving Serial Data and Serial Sisters.
- 0:18Speaker 3: You'll be addicted and addicted fast to the number one
- 0:21Speaker 3: tabloid real life podcast.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Listen in, listen up. Woo, woo. Heather MacDonald. Juicy Scoop.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to Juicy Scoop. Well, we had a
- 0:34Speaker 2: wonderful weekend, Chris Frangiolla and I, doing shows for my
- 0:38Speaker 2: Juicy Scoopers in Sacramento and San Francisco. And it was
- 0:41Speaker 2: a really fun show. It combined stand-up with the hot topics.
- 0:47Speaker 2: And at the end of the show in Sacramento and
- 0:50Speaker 2: San Francisco, I ended with talking about Britney Spears, which
- 0:54Speaker 2: I'll get to in a minute. But I just have
- 0:57Speaker 2: to tell you the juiciest scoop that happened in San Francisco.
- 1:00Speaker 2: So just as we're at the last topic, I hear
- 1:04Speaker 2: these people screaming in the first couple rows and moving
- 1:08Speaker 2: up and jumping around. And I'm like, oh my God,
- 1:11Speaker 2: what's wrong? I don't know if there is somebody that's
- 1:15Speaker 2: coming to attack them, if someone's getting in a physical fight.
- 1:18Speaker 2: It was very scary. And they said, there's a rat.
- 1:21Speaker 2: There's a rat running around. And I was like, oh, okay, well,
- 1:25Speaker 2: do we know where it is? And I'm like asking.
- 1:29Speaker 2: the security, the people that work there. And I guess
- 1:31Speaker 2: I've never really dealt with like a rat. And so
- 1:34Speaker 2: it's not like a bug that you could just squash
- 1:36Speaker 2: or whatever and then be done with it. And so
- 1:40Speaker 2: they kind of settled down, but then it moved to
- 1:43Speaker 2: like another row. So then I continued to try to
- 1:45Speaker 2: talk about Britney Spears and it moved to another row.
- 1:48Speaker 2: And at this point, I've already, we've already done a
- 1:50Speaker 2: show for an hour and a half. So I'm like, well,
- 1:51Speaker 2: thank God at least this rat who was not on
- 1:55Speaker 2: my Patreon VIP list. He or she did not have
- 2:00Speaker 2: a lanyard. So I just was like, I think we
- 2:03Speaker 2: just need to end the show. I don't know who
- 2:04Speaker 2: sent the rat. I don't know what was going on
- 2:07Speaker 2: with the rat. So we ended the show early. Not
- 2:11Speaker 2: a little early, but anyway, we got to it. But
- 2:15Speaker 2: it was so funny because it was really interesting hearing
- 2:19Speaker 2: all the different accounts because then when I did my
- 2:21Speaker 2: meet and greet, I saw the one girl that originally
- 2:24Speaker 2: was scared about the rat and she's like, it was huge.
- 2:27Speaker 2: It was disgusting. When I talked to the first girl
- 2:32Speaker 2: who coincidentally Chris made a joke about because she had
- 2:36Speaker 2: her hair, a very pretty girl, brown hair with like
- 2:39Speaker 2: a low bun and she had like a bodysuit on
- 2:41Speaker 2: and a tan sweater. And when she got up, cause
- 2:44Speaker 2: she was the most freaked out by the rat, Chris
- 2:46Speaker 2: was like, wait, weren't you the girl on the plane
- 2:49Speaker 2: that saw the, it the person who was a shapeshifter alien.
- 2:53Speaker 4: And it really did look like her.
- 2:55Speaker 2: So that was kind of funny. But anyway, she said
- 2:57Speaker 2: that the rat was a big black rat. These other
- 3:01Speaker 2: three girls said, no, it was actually really cute. It
- 3:06Speaker 2: was gray and little and it seemed scared.
- 3:09Speaker 5: Okay.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Anyway, I have heard from some juicy scoopers that they
- 3:16Speaker 2: were aware that the theater handled it very humanely. They
- 3:20Speaker 2: did capture the mouse. They're going to call it a
- 3:23Speaker 2: mouse because we don't know how it identifies. Took the
- 3:27Speaker 2: mouse and then put it outside, which this theater was
- 3:31Speaker 2: beautiful and there was wildlife and like a little pond
- 3:34Speaker 2: and released it into the wild. So just so you know.
- 3:38Speaker 2: But that was the first time that's ever happened to me.
- 3:40Speaker 2: And the people that worked at the Palace of Fine
- 3:43Speaker 2: Arts Theater said they've been there for 12 years. That's
- 3:45Speaker 2: never happened. So leave it to me to have them
- 3:49Speaker 2: break history. But Chris and I had a great time.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I loved my outfit. And that's all that matters. Okay,
- 3:56Speaker 2: so getting back to Britney Spears. So Britney Spears, you know,
- 3:59Speaker 2: danced with the knives, okay? Which I also did. That
- 4:02Speaker 2: was the finale. I had Brandon go out and buy
- 4:04Speaker 2: me some fake knives before I left on the plane
- 4:07Speaker 2: to go to Sacramento.
- 4:08Speaker 4: And I would dance as Britney with the knives.
- 4:11Speaker 2: So I still got to do that, even though the
- 4:13Speaker 2: rat and the rat got to see that for free. Anyway,
- 4:15Speaker 2: or the mouse. So... Britney Spears posts this photo of
- 4:19Speaker 2: a ballerina on knives, like her toes on knives. And
- 4:23Speaker 2: she writes this. Is it a joke in the news
- 4:26Speaker 2: again with a welfare check? So I guess they sent
- 4:29Speaker 2: over the sheriff's department for a welfare check. They did
- 4:32Speaker 2: not see her, but they talked to people that were
- 4:34Speaker 2: there and they were assured that she is fine.
- 4:38Speaker 4: Come on, America. We're cooler than that, right?
- 4:40Speaker 2: The officers came to my home and said they would
- 4:42Speaker 2: not leave until they spoke to me as people do.
- 4:45Speaker 4: Four minute performances with them. Don't understand that.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I'm getting an apology. I've been bullied in my house
- 4:51Speaker 2: for so long now.
- 4:52Speaker 4: It's enough.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Don't talk about it. Come on, let's do as my
- 4:56Speaker 2: mom does the silent treatment when paps ask her questions
- 4:58Speaker 2: about her own daughter as if I'm in the wrong. Nope,
- 5:03Speaker 2: it's an old game. People need to be responsible for
- 5:05Speaker 2: their actions. It's about power for cops. This was a
- 5:10Speaker 2: very hard message to understand. Couple questions. So does she
- 5:14Speaker 2: want her mom to talk to the paparazzi? Or it
- 5:16Speaker 2: sounds like she's mad that she doesn't talk to the
- 5:18Speaker 2: paparazzi when it's about her own daughter. You know, you
- 5:23Speaker 2: could stop the welfare checks by not doing weird shit
- 5:27Speaker 2: for your 42 million followers.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Like, it was scary.
- 5:30Speaker 2: After you had these knives that sounded like real knives,
- 5:33Speaker 2: you did have cuts on your body afterwards.
- 5:35Speaker 4: She did have.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Something on her, a bandage on her arm and a
- 5:39Speaker 2: cut on her leg. And But I guess they were fake.
- 5:44Speaker 2: They were bought at some propped house, like a prop house,
- 5:47Speaker 2: and they've sold out. The knives I bought from the
- 5:51Speaker 2: spirit stores that Brandon got me were plastic. So there
- 5:55Speaker 2: you go.
- 5:58Speaker 4: So I don't know who these four.
- 6:00Speaker 2: People are because I heard that the gardener that she
- 6:03Speaker 2: was living with who moved in his ex-wife and children
- 6:07Speaker 2: at her house for a few weeks, he is out
- 6:09Speaker 2: of the picture. So I don't know who the four
- 6:10Speaker 2: other people are. And she did have a ghostwriter apparently
- 6:14Speaker 2: help her with the book. So that is coming out
- 6:17Speaker 2: in October. I loved Taylor Swift's outfit. She wore these
- 6:22Speaker 2: really cute jeans that have already sold out. They're jean shorts.
- 6:25Speaker 4: With similar boots to what I had on.
- 6:27Speaker 2: So gotcha, girl. And she went with Blake Lively and
- 6:34Speaker 2: her husband. I can't think of her husband's name.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Anyway, they're good friends.
- 6:39Speaker 2: I think that... At least, I don't know if they
- 6:42Speaker 2: went to the game, but Sophie Turner, who is the
- 6:47Speaker 2: ex-wife-to-be of the Jonas brother, that whole divorce has been
- 6:50Speaker 2: going on. She has now proven to the judge that
- 6:56Speaker 2: as a couple, they had agreed that their main home
- 7:01Speaker 2: would be in England. And she proved that because he
- 7:05Speaker 2: wrote a letter to an owner of a house that
- 7:08Speaker 2: he wanted to buy saying, We love your home. We
- 7:11Speaker 2: want to buy it. This is where we plan to
- 7:13Speaker 2: have our children be raised and where they go to school.
- 7:17Speaker 2: So right now they're fighting over where the main home
- 7:20Speaker 2: would be, like New York or the States or England.
- 7:24Speaker 2: She wants England. And she said that was always the plan.
- 7:28Speaker 2: So she presented that with the court. So that was
- 7:30Speaker 2: kind of interesting.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Anyway, I don't know.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I think they won. I don't know if they won
- 7:35Speaker 2: the game or not. But anyway, she was there looking cute.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Hugging the mom again in the box. Oh, and Hugh
- 7:42Speaker 2: Jackman went. New single Hugh Jackman. You know, he's getting
- 7:46Speaker 2: forced out for 27 years. And so it looked like
- 7:49Speaker 2: a fun group of people. They had the good seats. Also,
- 7:53Speaker 2: the U2 concert went on in Las Vegas at the
- 7:58Speaker 2: Incredible Sphere. Look it up.
- 8:00Speaker 4: It looks incredible, the concert.
- 8:02Speaker 2: And Oprah was there and Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend,
- 8:06Speaker 2: fiancee Lauren Sanchez. All the stars were there, and it
- 8:10Speaker 2: looked really cool. So all these things were happening this weekend.
- 8:13Speaker 2: Also happening this weekend, Bethany interviewed NeNe. It was a
- 8:17Speaker 2: two-parter on her podcast. It didn't really get the kind
- 8:20Speaker 2: of buzz that I kind of thought it would be,
- 8:22Speaker 2: and I think it's because NeNe has revealed a lot
- 8:24Speaker 2: of that already on Carlos King's podcast. And it was
- 8:30Speaker 2: kind of interesting because they're both talking, and you know
- 8:32Speaker 2: how Bethany always likes to do all the analogies where
- 8:36Speaker 2: she's like, I didn't burn down the house. I lit
- 8:38Speaker 2: a fire in the fireplace. I plan on coming back
- 8:40Speaker 2: for a hot chocolate. I don't know when that would be,
- 8:42Speaker 2: but I was willing to throw the ball and have
- 8:44Speaker 2: somebody else catch it outside in the backyard near a pool.
- 8:48Speaker 2: That's how we play the game. Like her analogies are
- 8:50Speaker 2: just insane. But anyway, so they're talking about housewives and
- 8:55Speaker 2: they get in this one moment where they're really kind
- 8:57Speaker 2: of bragging about who was the more popular podcast host.
- 9:00Speaker 2: I'm sorry, who is a more popular housewife and who
- 9:04Speaker 2: made more? And Bethany's like, well, we're a little bit
- 9:08Speaker 2: different because I left. They begged for me to come back.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I left.
- 9:11Speaker 4: They begged for me to come back. And that's why
- 9:12Speaker 4: they offered me so much money.
- 9:13Speaker 2: And I made several thousands of dollars, several thousands, several
- 9:17Speaker 2: millions of dollars. That's what I made. I made several
- 9:20Speaker 2: millions of dollars. And then Nene's like, you made several millions?
- 9:25Speaker 2: And she's like, yeah, didn't you make the same as me?
- 9:28Speaker 2: And she's like, not millions. I mean... I made a million,
- 9:33Speaker 2: but you made more than one million, right? I mean, I, yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 2: but did you make several? Well, no, I didn't make several.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I made like more than one though. Wouldn't you agree
- 9:41Speaker 2: that you did that too? I mean, it was, and
- 9:44Speaker 2: it was really not being that well-received because a lot
- 9:46Speaker 2: of people just heard two of the most successful, you know,
- 9:51Speaker 2: wealthiest housewives kind of boohooing about where their careers are
- 9:56Speaker 2: now and how Bravo has screwed them over. Some of
- 9:59Speaker 2: the things, I thought were interesting is things nobody thought
- 10:03Speaker 2: of when their show started 15 years ago is, of course,
- 10:07Speaker 2: that there'd be all these streaming services, Peacock, Hey You,
- 10:12Speaker 2: and other countries where their shows would be played and
- 10:16Speaker 2: they would not get it done. but also the merchandise
- 10:19Speaker 2: and the memes and their image, like, you know, on
- 10:23Speaker 2: stickers and things like that, that they don't get any
- 10:25Speaker 2: money for. And NeNe really does have the most iconic
- 10:29Speaker 2: memes and lines and her voice is used on TikToks
- 10:33Speaker 2: and stuff, but a lot of people's songs and voices
- 10:36Speaker 2: are used on TikToks and nobody gets money for that.
- 10:38Speaker 2: So it is kind of a hard thing to figure
- 10:41Speaker 2: out today, but that was interesting. And then she said
- 10:45Speaker 2: she and Andy, she realized now we're not very good
- 10:48Speaker 2: friends that looking back, the only time they ever talked
- 10:51Speaker 2: was about housewives and whether she was coming back or not.
- 10:54Speaker 2: She only went to one party at his house 10
- 10:56Speaker 2: years ago, like a holiday party. And she was invited
- 10:59Speaker 2: to his baby shower through Kyle Richards, but she thought
- 11:02Speaker 2: it would be, you know, every, every housewife trying to
- 11:06Speaker 2: show up each other and who is the more popular person.
- 11:08Speaker 4: And she didn't even want, she just passed on it.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Even though she was in LA at the time and
- 11:14Speaker 2: was free that afternoon, She said, no, I don't want
- 11:16Speaker 2: to be around this housewife circus. And I'm like, well,
- 11:19Speaker 2: if you were a real friend, wouldn't you have just
- 11:21Speaker 2: gone to the baby shower to support your friend who's
- 11:24Speaker 2: becoming a parent?
- 11:25Speaker 3: Okay.
- 11:26Speaker 2: But then NeNe keeps saying, I've been blackballed. I used
- 11:31Speaker 2: to have all these opportunities to host shows, to have
- 11:34Speaker 2: TV shows, to have radio shows and podcasts.
- 11:37Speaker 4: And they've all dried up.
- 11:39Speaker 2: And I think it's basically I've been blackballed because Bravo's
- 11:42Speaker 2: mad at me because I have complained saying, I haven't
- 11:46Speaker 2: gotten fair treatment, but mostly the women of color on
- 11:50Speaker 2: our cast didn't get the same treatment as the white
- 11:53Speaker 2: woman on the cast and all of that.
- 11:55Speaker 4: And so I was like, what?
- 11:58Speaker 2: She never really says what, where, what specifically did she
- 12:02Speaker 2: think she was getting blackballed on? Because she had a
- 12:05Speaker 2: pilot to do a talk show with Wendy Williams production company.
- 12:10Speaker 2: It wasn't her production company, but the same production company
- 12:13Speaker 2: that did her show was going to do a a
- 12:15Speaker 2: talk show pilot with she and Tom Arnold, which I
- 12:18Speaker 2: think is a really strange combination. And it didn't go,
- 12:23Speaker 2: the pilot didn't go and it didn't get picked up. Well,
- 12:25Speaker 2: that happens all the time. Maybe it wasn't a great idea, whatever,
- 12:29Speaker 2: you know, you pick, they pick up a bunch of ideas.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Then they only issue money to do a handful of pilots.
- 12:35Speaker 2: And then from there, only a few go. So I
- 12:38Speaker 2: was like, listen, girl, All these opportunities came maybe 2014, 2015,
- 12:43Speaker 2: those years that you were really, really popular. And there
- 12:48Speaker 2: were times when I came off of my TV show,
- 12:50Speaker 2: I had more opportunities and they dried up. And so
- 12:53Speaker 2: I built Juicy Scoop. Like that happens. Even Reese Witherspoon said,
- 12:58Speaker 2: I stopped getting the movie roles. That's why I now
- 13:01Speaker 2: have this huge production company and give other women, you know,
- 13:04Speaker 2: opportunities to direct and act in things. It doesn't always
- 13:08Speaker 2: continue and it doesn't necessarily mean that a group of
- 13:10Speaker 2: 10 people got together in Hollywood and was like, let's
- 13:12Speaker 2: never hire Nene. I just think that's stupid. But one
- 13:15Speaker 2: thing I do think is interesting that I heard from
- 13:18Speaker 2: a very good source is apparently one thing she hasn't said,
- 13:22Speaker 2: this is alleged, is that she did have a deal
- 13:27Speaker 2: in which she was talking and was very close to
- 13:29Speaker 2: closing a deal with doing a show on Sirius. And
- 13:33Speaker 2: what this person told me, allegedly, is that she had
- 13:37Speaker 2: a conversation with Andy about how she was going to
- 13:40Speaker 2: get a show on Sirius too. And he was a
- 13:42Speaker 2: little bit like, really? Wow. Oh, okay. They're, they're giving
- 13:46Speaker 2: you a radio show. All right. Kind of surprised by it.
- 13:50Speaker 2: And then within a week, the deal dried up and
- 13:53Speaker 2: they were no longer interested. So I think that is
- 13:59Speaker 2: suspect that people talk.
- 14:00Speaker 4: It only takes one person.
- 14:02Speaker 2: I don't know. Um, And now big deals aren't being
- 14:07Speaker 2: done like that anyway. So even if she was to
- 14:09Speaker 2: start a show, it wouldn't be what she could have
- 14:11Speaker 2: gotten three or four years ago or even two years
- 14:15Speaker 2: ago in the field of podcasting and radio.
- 14:18Speaker 4: So I don't know what she's going to do.
- 14:20Speaker 2: But one thing that Bethany said is she's like, I
- 14:22Speaker 2: had a great idea for a TV show for you
- 14:24Speaker 2: and I to do together.
- 14:25Speaker 4: It was going to be called Ebony and Ivory.
- 14:27Speaker 2: And you and I were going to go in an
- 14:29Speaker 2: RV and I was going to take you to places
- 14:31Speaker 2: that you know, people of color aren't used to going
- 14:34Speaker 2: to like Nantucket.
- 14:36Speaker 4: And you were going to take me to like places
- 14:38Speaker 4: in the South.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I mean, that moment was pretty cringe. A, that that
- 14:45Speaker 2: was the title. B, like, it doesn't even make sense
- 14:49Speaker 2: because I'm like, you're two women and you have a
- 14:52Speaker 2: lot in common. You should have focused on, okay, let's
- 14:55Speaker 2: do something because we're two women who have a lot
- 14:57Speaker 2: in common. We're wealthy. We're run on housewives. We're witty.
- 15:00Speaker 2: We say funny lines. I think the least interesting thing
- 15:04Speaker 2: about the two of you is the fact that you
- 15:07Speaker 2: are different ethnicities. And why would you want to highlight
- 15:09Speaker 2: on that? No wonder they didn't pick up that show.
- 15:11Speaker 2: That is not because the industry hates you. That is
- 15:14Speaker 2: just an awful idea. So those are my two cents.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Meanwhile, Kyle.
- 15:21Speaker 2: So Mauricio was approached coming out of Dancing with the Stars.
- 15:26Speaker 2: He is still on the show. They got rid of
- 15:28Speaker 2: this actor from Veep. He's the first to be cut,
- 15:30Speaker 2: but he didn't do great on his score, but he's around.
- 15:33Speaker 2: And he said, look, I want to know who leaked
- 15:37Speaker 2: the story that Kyle and I were separated because we
- 15:40Speaker 2: had not announced that. Nobody knew that, but very few
- 15:44Speaker 2: people in our inner circle that we were separated and
- 15:46Speaker 2: working on our marriage.
- 15:47Speaker 4: No one has filed for.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Divorce, but we are in fact separated. But I want
- 15:51Speaker 2: to know who gave that story to People Magazine because
- 15:54Speaker 2: if that is somebody in our inner circle or our employee,
- 15:57Speaker 2: I want to know who it is because I want
- 15:58Speaker 2: to fire them. That was very interesting. And then they
- 16:03Speaker 2: stopped Kyle at an airport and asked her about it.
- 16:07Speaker 2: And she's like, please, it's not interesting. Yes, we are separated.
- 16:09Speaker 2: We are separated. We have been separated. Very upset. But
- 16:15Speaker 2: one thing Mauricio did say is, There is no doubt
- 16:19Speaker 2: in my mind that Kyle has not slept with or
- 16:21Speaker 2: cheated with Morgan Wade. They are just really great friends.
- 16:25Speaker 2: They are filming stuff together. They are doing things together.
- 16:28Speaker 2: They are not in a relationship. Well, we saw the
- 16:31Speaker 2: music video. I'm gonna make you love me. And they said, oh,
- 16:36Speaker 2: we just played. We did this video and Kyle was
- 16:39Speaker 2: in it. And it was about A lesbian moves into
- 16:43Speaker 2: the neighborhood and is flirting with a housewife and they
- 16:46Speaker 2: get real close and they feed each other food. And
- 16:48Speaker 2: it's very, you know, in their bathtub together and all
- 16:51Speaker 2: this stuff. And so I'm like, so is it what
- 16:55Speaker 2: or or was this like I said, she dropped the crumbs.
- 16:59Speaker 2: She got us talking that she and Morgan had something
- 17:03Speaker 2: going on. and that her marriage wasn't going that great
- 17:06Speaker 2: to get us interested in Morgan's music in which now
- 17:10Speaker 2: she is doing a documentary about Morgan and her life
- 17:14Speaker 2: and her music and everything. Nobody I know had heard
- 17:16Speaker 2: of Morgan Wade before she was seen with Kyle working
- 17:20Speaker 2: out and sitting on her lap on a private jet. So,
- 17:25Speaker 2: but here she is in page six saying that they
- 17:29Speaker 2: found her. She was comforted by some friends while they
- 17:33Speaker 2: were on a hike. or something.
- 17:36Speaker 4: So it, that seems a little suspicious too, that they
- 17:38Speaker 4: found her there, but maybe what they.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Followed her off the airport.
- 17:40Speaker 4: This is sad. You guys, everyone loved this couple.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Jody Turner Smith has filed for divorce from Joshua Jackson
- 17:48Speaker 2: on Monday after nearly four years of marriage.
- 17:50Speaker 4: And I believe they have a child.
- 17:53Speaker 2: We don't know why all the reports are just, you know,
- 17:57Speaker 2: pulling up interviews in which they declared their love for
- 18:00Speaker 2: each other. Everyone loved them. They were a gorgeous couple and,
- 18:05Speaker 2: Just sad. Meanwhile, Kim and Corey, Kim tried to get
- 18:09Speaker 2: the divorce thrown out.
- 18:11Speaker 4: She's like, he filed for divorce.
- 18:13Speaker 2: She asked the judge, throw it out.
- 18:15Speaker 5: Why?
- 18:15Speaker 2: Because we're still living under the same roof and we're boning.
- 18:19Speaker 2: We're boning all the time. The judge said, no, I'm
- 18:23Speaker 2: allowing the divorce to go forward because of hardship.
- 18:27Speaker 4: You guys can live in the same house.
- 18:29Speaker 2: However, he gets the master bed with the with a
- 18:33Speaker 2: good mattress because he has, I assume because he has
- 18:36Speaker 2: like some NFL injury, she has to go down to
- 18:39Speaker 2: the basement in the maid's quarters and live. They'll share
- 18:42Speaker 2: the kitchen. She and Brielle have to share a Range Rover.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I don't know what their other cars are. He only
- 18:50Speaker 2: gets $ 4, 500 a month from his pension. She only declared $ 5, 000
- 18:55Speaker 2: a month from some like Instagram clickbait type of a thing.
- 18:59Speaker 2: And She did do Surreal Life. I don't know what
- 19:03Speaker 2: they get from that show. I'm guessing not more than $ 100, 000,
- 19:05Speaker 2: if that. So I don't know if she gets to
- 19:07Speaker 2: keep that for herself. The house is upside down and
- 19:11Speaker 2: in foreclosure. And it also was revealed in the court
- 19:17Speaker 2: that she has borrowed even more money from her personal friend.
- 19:20Speaker 2: She's gambled hundreds of thousands of dollars away, which she
- 19:23Speaker 2: can prove over the last couple of years, which he
- 19:26Speaker 2: claims is why they're in this financial strait.
- 19:29Speaker 4: But they were.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Getting it on. And I just think that's amazing when
- 19:33Speaker 2: a couple breaks up and they're getting a divorce, but
- 19:35Speaker 2: they're still sleeping together. To me, I'm like, you should
- 19:38Speaker 2: try to make this work. Anyway, people were shocked. This
- 19:41Speaker 2: is from the good, the bad, and the fake. Because
- 19:44Speaker 2: he has a beard, Croy, and his hair is dark now.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Like, it definitely looks like he dyed it.
- 19:50Speaker 2: And he looks good but he just looks unrecognizable so
- 19:53Speaker 2: that was kind of interesting the car is beautiful where
- 19:57Speaker 2: did you end up going for it.
- 19:58Speaker 1: This exclusive place that dad has connections with they have
- 20:01Speaker 1: more cars for more dealerships than like anywhere else.
- 20:04Speaker 2: You have to put me in touch what's it called it's.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Dune ADL where Doonay DL? There's an accent on the E.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Do you mean.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Yes, I got it on Dundale Cars.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Lift?
- 20:16Speaker 2: Please. You're going past Kimmage. Oh, Kimmage.
- 20:20Speaker 5: No.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Dundale Cars. You couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 20:25Speaker 5: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 20:28Speaker 5: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 20:31Speaker 5: have faced tremendous setbacks and yet somehow have found a
- 20:36Speaker 5: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 20:38Speaker 1: Life is one long lesson of chaos.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I'm heading to the Emmys and I have police complaints
- 20:44Speaker 2: filed against me.
- 20:45Speaker 3: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 20:47Speaker 3: what would you do if it was given back?
- 20:49Speaker 5: Where did that need come from where you thought that
- 20:52Speaker 5: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 20:55Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad.
- 20:56Speaker 5: I need a home dad. What happens next?
- 20:58Speaker 2: When I came in, he started crying.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Everybody in life encounters hardships. What defines them is not
- 21:04Speaker 5: those hard moments that they go through. It's about what
- 21:07Speaker 5: happens next.
- 21:08Speaker 2: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 21:10Speaker 2: every day was. You're worth the work. Listen, Dara, I'm
- 21:13Speaker 2: not going to pull punches. You can use your voice
- 21:16Speaker 2: even if it's shaped.
- 21:17Speaker 5: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 21:20Speaker 5: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 21:31Speaker 2: Also on The Real Housewives of Potomac, Mia and Gordon,
- 21:35Speaker 2: she filed for divorce. She's only 37. He's 71. They
- 21:39Speaker 2: have two kids together. And, you know, in the upcoming season,
- 21:45Speaker 2: she's like, yeah, maybe I did marry him for his money.
- 21:47Speaker 2: I can't remember what their story was, but I mean,
- 21:52Speaker 2: it's not a shock. They are such a huge age difference.
- 21:56Speaker 2: And they were having money trouble. They had all these
- 21:59Speaker 2: the joint chiropractic places and something happened with one of
- 22:03Speaker 2: their relatives getting involved or she not being able to
- 22:06Speaker 2: run it. So that doesn't help. And then she's on
- 22:09Speaker 2: the show and feeling her oats. And so, hey, it's,
- 22:13Speaker 2: I can't even, I would need someone to count up
- 22:15Speaker 2: how many divorces have happened in the Real Housewives franchise.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Last I checked, it was almost at 30. So I'm
- 22:22Speaker 2: not sure. Meanwhile, Kourtney, the show is on, the Hulu
- 22:27Speaker 2: show of Keeping Up With The Kardashians And there is
- 22:30Speaker 2: this fight that is so awful.
- 22:32Speaker 4: And they're on the phone.
- 22:34Speaker 2: And they fought about Kourtney feeling that Kim stole her
- 22:38Speaker 2: wedding look with her Dolce & Gabbana lingerie look of
- 22:42Speaker 2: her wedding. And Kim was like, I'm not. They asked
- 22:46Speaker 2: me to do it. And that was the look I wanted.
- 22:48Speaker 2: And so they are back. And they're on the phone.
- 22:52Speaker 2: And Kourtney's like, you weren't happy for me at my wedding.
- 22:55Speaker 2: You complained the whole time in Italy. You just are
- 22:58Speaker 2: not happy for you. And she's like, why would you
- 23:00Speaker 2: think so little of me, Courtney, that I'm not happy
- 23:03Speaker 2: for you? She goes, you're the one who's not happy.
- 23:06Speaker 2: And all your friends think it. We have a side
- 23:09Speaker 2: group chat called Not Courtney where we all talk about
- 23:13Speaker 2: you and how unhappy you seem and how much you
- 23:16Speaker 2: have changed. Well, that was a real trigger for me
- 23:20Speaker 2: to think that people that you think are your close
- 23:22Speaker 2: friends are talking behind your back. So once this episode aired,
- 23:27Speaker 2: some of Courtney's close friends Simon Huck being one of
- 23:31Speaker 2: them started getting DMS from people like, are you part
- 23:34Speaker 2: of this, this text group going and talking shit about Courtney?
- 23:39Speaker 2: So she has now confirmed Courtney. No, I don't believe
- 23:43Speaker 2: any of my friends are part of it. Who's part
- 23:45Speaker 2: of it are my sisters. The only people that are
- 23:48Speaker 2: part of it are Kendall, Kylie, Chloe, and Kim. So
- 23:51Speaker 2: she has kind of protected her friends, but I thought
- 23:53Speaker 2: that was awful. And even if it was true, I'm like,
- 23:56Speaker 2: what's she supposed to do with that now? Now realize
- 23:58Speaker 2: she has no friends either. She already has to deal
- 24:00Speaker 2: with you. Anyway, she had her old fashioned Disneyland baby
- 24:08Speaker 2: shower and Kim posted a bunch of photos and she
- 24:12Speaker 2: wrote like, oh, thank you.
- 24:13Speaker 4: It was such a beautiful shower.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Thank you. So, of course, they're back together. But this
- 24:16Speaker 2: gets people watching. And it was honestly kind of a
- 24:19Speaker 2: really interesting thing to talk about because. To remind you,
- 24:23Speaker 2: her now husband, Travis Barker, did date Kim Kardashian and
- 24:27Speaker 2: wrote about it in his book. And it didn't totally
- 24:31Speaker 2: say that they boned in the book, but Audrey O'Day
- 24:35Speaker 2: had said it.
- 24:35Speaker 4: Other people have said it.
- 24:36Speaker 2: His wife thought there was more going on, Shanna Moakler,
- 24:39Speaker 2: when he was hanging out with Kim. But they were
- 24:42Speaker 2: dating supposedly on a time that they had a break.
- 24:45Speaker 2: So some people feel like it's a real resentment. between
- 24:48Speaker 2: the two girls because they both have dated the same guy.
- 24:52Speaker 4: And one ended up marrying him.
- 24:53Speaker 2: Does Courtney have a chip on her shoulder about the
- 24:55Speaker 2: fact that he was infatuated with Kim years ago and
- 24:58Speaker 2: wrote about her? Or is Kim a little jealous of
- 25:01Speaker 2: the mad devotion that Travis has for his sister when
- 25:05Speaker 2: she is single and not currently in love? But they
- 25:09Speaker 2: do say that she's hanging out with Tom Brady, so
- 25:11Speaker 2: that's pretty good. Real Housewives of New York City. This
- 25:16Speaker 2: is what they wore for the reunion. Some people think
- 25:19Speaker 2: it's great that Jenna Lyons, who is by far the
- 25:21Speaker 2: favorite of this new cast, wore jeans, wore jeans and,
- 25:25Speaker 2: you know, just a blazer with just like a tie
- 25:28Speaker 2: and some tits hanging out. But this show was the
- 25:32Speaker 2: only thing interesting about this show last night was this girl, Jessel,
- 25:35Speaker 2: who hasn't had sex with her husband in a year
- 25:37Speaker 2: and a half, was talking about like, let's have sex.
- 25:40Speaker 2: And he still was not really interested. And she wore
- 25:43Speaker 2: this lingerie and he was like, OK, we have to
- 25:46Speaker 2: do this now. And then she said, oh, yeah, he's
- 25:49Speaker 2: going away. She tells Sai, he's going away. He's going
- 25:52Speaker 2: to Vietnam. He always goes to Vietnam a couple times
- 25:55Speaker 2: a year. And she goes, oh, what kind of businesses
- 25:57Speaker 2: he has in Vietnam? That's kind of weird. She goes, oh, no,
- 26:00Speaker 2: he just goes for miles. He just gets on a
- 26:03Speaker 2: plane from New York and goes to Vietnam to collect
- 26:06Speaker 2: miles so that we can go.
- 26:08Speaker 4: On other trips.
- 26:11Speaker 2: So the guy that you're never having sex with, who's
- 26:13Speaker 2: your husband, happens to go to Vietnam and a couple
- 26:17Speaker 2: times a year to up his status on United. So, um,
- 26:25Speaker 2: so I thought that was weird. And also Cy and
- 26:27Speaker 2: she are still competing with who had the saddest childhood.
- 26:31Speaker 2: All these people, this whole season is about who had
- 26:34Speaker 2: a sadder, more depressing childhood. And they're going toe for
- 26:38Speaker 2: toe about it. Um, real houses of Salt Lake city
- 26:42Speaker 2: was fantastic. It was great. It's everything I wanted. And, um,
- 26:48Speaker 2: I don't know if you guys know, but Meredith has
- 26:50Speaker 2: a caviar line. That's right. I have a caviar line.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Seth and I love caviar. And I have a pearl
- 26:59Speaker 2: spoon that you could buy with it. She really hasn't
- 27:01Speaker 2: pushed it yet. So I predict there'll be a party
- 27:04Speaker 2: celebrating this caviar.
- 27:06Speaker 4: And I don't know.
- 27:08Speaker 2: When I think of caviar and the people that really
- 27:10Speaker 2: know caviar, I wouldn't think that it would be someone
- 27:12Speaker 2: in Utah wearing a Brooks Merck sweatsuit while she separates
- 27:17Speaker 2: the um the eggs from the fish i i don't
- 27:20Speaker 2: know but i did see her eating it at the
- 27:23Speaker 2: tricksy motel and i do feel like caviar is the
- 27:26Speaker 2: new thing that housewives are pushing it used to be
- 27:30Speaker 2: pinot grigio and wines and alcoholic drinks now it's all
- 27:34Speaker 2: about caviar and you really can't make it at a
- 27:39Speaker 2: cheap level though like even this is a small thing
- 27:42Speaker 2: that's like 400 so who knows But they did not
- 27:46Speaker 2: want to get ready in the Trixie Mattel makeup and hair.
- 27:50Speaker 4: Only a few of them did. And Meredith is like,
- 27:53Speaker 4: I have a splitting headache.
- 27:55Speaker 2: How dare you, Whitney, weaponize a small child's illness because
- 28:01Speaker 2: I didn't want to wear drag makeup. And then.
- 28:06Speaker 2: And then Lisa Barlow was like, I don't want to.
- 28:09Speaker 2: I don't like that for me. I don't want to
- 28:11Speaker 2: wear the makeup. I don't. I brought my own makeup artist,
- 28:14Speaker 2: and she could do like a bright lip, but I don't.
- 28:16Speaker 2: I don't. And then they show Meredith getting her makeup
- 28:20Speaker 2: done from the girl that she brought, and the editors
- 28:23Speaker 2: did a photo, like the light coming in, and it
- 28:27Speaker 2: was so not flattering to beautiful Lisa, and I definitely
- 28:30Speaker 2: think they were doing her dirty. They think that they're
- 28:33Speaker 2: not happy with her this season. Maybe they felt... They
- 28:37Speaker 2: really wanted her to wear the Trixie Mattel makeup, and
- 28:39Speaker 2: they're like, oh, we got you, girl. Oh, no, it's fine.
- 28:41Speaker 2: It's fine. Have your makeup girl do your own pretty makeup,
- 28:44Speaker 2: and you don't participate. Can we just film you while
- 28:47Speaker 2: you do it? Not nice. And then Mary, of course,
- 28:51Speaker 2: didn't participate in anything, and she was like, well, I'll
- 28:55Speaker 2: tell you something, little girl. I don't want to do
- 28:58Speaker 2: the makeup either.
- 28:59Speaker 4: She didn't do the makeup either.
- 29:00Speaker 2: So there you go. Now, you guys, I'm excited. I'm
- 29:04Speaker 2: going to get right to it. Let's enjoy our guest.
- 29:08Speaker 2: This is such a fun book that I'm going to
- 29:10Speaker 2: tell you all about. It's the Real Housewives Ultimate Trivia book,
- 29:13Speaker 2: but so much juice I'm going to get from my
- 29:15Speaker 2: next guest about Hollywood and back in the day when
- 29:19Speaker 2: she worked for J-Lo and Julie Roberts. So here is
- 29:23Speaker 2: a real fun interview with my friend Thea. Hello and
- 29:28Speaker 2: welcome to Juicy Scoop. I have a fun one for you.
- 29:30Speaker 2: I have the book that you're going to want to
- 29:32Speaker 2: buy for yourself, for your friends, for everybody.
- 29:36Speaker 4: I have Thea De.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Say your last name.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Thea de Souza.
- 29:42Speaker 2: She runs a really great Instagram account that I've talked
- 29:45Speaker 2: about called Your Moms Are Watching. But she came up
- 29:48Speaker 2: with this book, The Real Housewives, the ultimate trivia book.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I already started to do it. The first chapter is
- 29:55Speaker 2: Orange County. I've gotten 100%.
- 29:57Speaker 4: This is so fun.
- 29:58Speaker 2: How are you?
- 29:59Speaker 4: Welcome to Juicy Scoop.
- 30:00Speaker 2: I'm great.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Thank you so much for having me. I'm so excited
- 30:02Speaker 3: to be here.
- 30:04Speaker 2: So give me a little bit of a background of.
- 30:08Speaker 2: Your Hollywood background, how you got into The Housewives, and
- 30:12Speaker 2: the thought about this book.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Which is a hit, which is going to be a
- 30:15Speaker 4: huge hit.
- 30:16Speaker 3: So I was a development girl in Hollywood. So that
- 30:18Speaker 3: means you find projects for producers to act and direct, whatever.
- 30:22Speaker 3: I mean, actors to produce, whatever. So I worked for
- 30:25Speaker 3: Julia Roberts and Jennifer Lopez.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Now, what years were this?
- 30:28Speaker 3: This is all leading up to 2001. So I started
- 30:31Speaker 3: in Hollywood in 1998 as Mike Myers and Keanu Reeves' assistant.
- 30:35Speaker 3: And then I went to I did talent for a year,
- 30:39Speaker 3: so I worked at Three Arts.
- 30:40Speaker 2: They represent... Oh, God, Three Arts was such a hot spot.
- 30:43Speaker 3: So I was Erwin Stoff's assistant. So he's the president
- 30:45Speaker 3: of the company. And so I worked very hard for
- 30:48Speaker 3: those actors. And I was, like, basically their assistant, you know,
- 30:50Speaker 3: going to get Keanu a can opener, you know, all
- 30:53Speaker 3: that stuff.
- 30:54Speaker 2: Is Keanu... Still, in your opinion, the nicest guy in Hollywood.
- 30:59Speaker 4: Yes.
- 30:59Speaker 3: My friend Jeanette has worked for him for 25 years.
- 31:02Speaker 3: So I know all about him and he couldn't be nicer.
- 31:04Speaker 3: He could not.
- 31:05Speaker 2: So I just sent a TikTok to my husband because
- 31:07Speaker 2: I just thought it was so funny. And someone did
- 31:10Speaker 2: a TikTok on all the photos that he's taken throughout
- 31:13Speaker 2: the years where he won't touch the women's backs. Oh,
- 31:15Speaker 2: I've seen that TikTok.
- 31:16Speaker 4: So it's like a little bit.
- 31:17Speaker 3: He's too respectful to even put his hand.
- 31:20Speaker 2: And he's too smart.
- 31:21Speaker 3: Yep.
- 31:22Speaker 2: He's too smart because even just doing that, someone could
- 31:25Speaker 2: then do a TikTok about, so here's my picture with
- 31:28Speaker 2: Keanu and like look at his hand. And they're taking
- 31:31Speaker 2: pictures so fast and oftentimes these guys don't mean to
- 31:34Speaker 2: grab a side tit, but it happens.
- 31:37Speaker 3: When I worked for him, he had just done The
- 31:39Speaker 3: Devil's Advocate and he was about to do The Matrix.
- 31:42Speaker 3: And I literally, Heather, he called me up one day.
- 31:47Speaker 3: This is Keanu to a T. I don't do impressions
- 31:49Speaker 3: like you do, but.
- 31:50Speaker 2: He's like, Thea. is it me, Keanu?
- 31:53Speaker 3: I was walking down the street and this guy comes
- 31:56Speaker 3: up to me and he's like, Keanu, that acting in
- 31:58Speaker 3: The Devil's Advocate was amazing. I mean, I never really
- 32:01Speaker 3: thought of you as an actor. And then he's like
- 32:03Speaker 3: crying to me. He goes, what does that mean? You
- 32:04Speaker 3: didn't think of me as an actor. And I was like, well,
- 32:06Speaker 3: Keanu was complimenting you. He was, yeah, but he said,
- 32:08Speaker 3: this was the first time I've ever seen you act.
- 32:11Speaker 3: And I was trying to explain to him how that's
- 32:13Speaker 3: a compliment because you're just yourself and your movies and
- 32:16Speaker 3: He was practically crying.
- 32:18Speaker 2: It's amazing. The backhanded compliments that come in this business from, honestly,
- 32:25Speaker 2: real fans. They just don't realize it. I just had
- 32:28Speaker 2: someone tell me who is definitely well-known that he said,
- 32:33Speaker 2: you know, this guy thinks he's being a friend, but
- 32:35Speaker 2: I heard him on his podcast, and.
- 32:36Speaker 4: He's like, this person, his name, is the funniest person ever.
- 32:42Speaker 2: That is not known. And he's like, I think I
- 32:44Speaker 2: am a little bit known. Like I, Yeah, it's always
- 32:47Speaker 2: that kind of thing. I'm not a nobody. Right, yeah,
- 32:50Speaker 2: that is really funny. Yeah, he's very sweet.
- 32:52Speaker 3: So he's very sweet, and he was at the time,
- 32:54Speaker 3: his girlfriend had just died. His sister had leukemia, and
- 32:59Speaker 3: he was taking care of her. He was living in
- 33:01Speaker 3: the Chateau Marmont, but we moved him into a house
- 33:03Speaker 3: so he could take care of his sister.
- 33:04Speaker 2: I'm just like, who are you? He was just the.
- 33:07Speaker 3: Sweetest, for sure. So everyone always asks me, who's the
- 33:10Speaker 3: nicest person you've ever worked for?
- 33:11Speaker 2: And he's like, beyond. I think I also saw like
- 33:14Speaker 2: a funny, like, fake news report, like funny meme that
- 33:18Speaker 2: was like, and in, you know, in shocking news or
- 33:21Speaker 2: something like Keanu Reeves still continues to be the nicest
- 33:25Speaker 2: person in Hollywood, like in unshocking news or something.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Like the way that he acts is not a celebrity
- 33:30Speaker 3: because even the nicest celebrities still have to put walls
- 33:33Speaker 3: up and, you know, just for the protection. Like Julia
- 33:36Speaker 3: is a nice person, but she's so protected and so
- 33:38Speaker 3: scared of getting screwed over that you might think she
- 33:41Speaker 3: wasn't nice. But Keanu doesn't care. He's got no walls
- 33:44Speaker 3: and he's just the sweetest.
- 33:46Speaker 2: With Julia Roberts, were you with her during the breakup
- 33:51Speaker 2: with Kiefer Sutherland?
- 33:53Speaker 3: Benjamin.
- 33:54Speaker 2: So she was breaking up with Benjamin.
- 33:56Speaker 4: She'd won the Oscar?
- 33:58Speaker 3: I started the day after she won her Oscar. So
- 34:00Speaker 3: she won the Oscar on a Sunday night and I
- 34:02Speaker 3: started working for her on Monday.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Do you think she regrets wearing that weird 1960s hairpiece
- 34:07Speaker 2: to win her Oscars? No, she never regrets anything. I
- 34:12Speaker 2: regret it for her because I feel like that, you know,
- 34:16Speaker 2: she's so known for her hair. Right. To this day. Right.
- 34:20Speaker 2: And whether she straightens it out or wears it curly
- 34:23Speaker 2: or whether it's more blonde or more red, she just
- 34:25Speaker 2: has that hair.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Right.
- 34:26Speaker 2: And I feel like at those monumental moments in your life,
- 34:30Speaker 2: That's just not the time, like your wedding day, to
- 34:33Speaker 2: like try a weird look. Same with Kate Hudson. Remember
- 34:35Speaker 2: when she was nominated? Did she win? I don't know,
- 34:38Speaker 2: but she wore this like weird, you know, and the
- 34:41Speaker 2: hair was like a weird curly that she didn't do.
- 34:43Speaker 2: And she wore like this weird outfit. And I'm like,
- 34:46Speaker 2: you just should have worn, you know, like your flowy
- 34:50Speaker 2: blonde hair and like a sexy, like slinky dress.
- 34:53Speaker 3: Well, Heather, you know how it is. They are not
- 34:55Speaker 3: making these decisions. Her team is making all the decisions.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Julia actually, of all the people I've ever worked with,
- 35:00Speaker 3: cares the least about her appearance of anyone. I will
- 35:03Speaker 3: never forget walking down Fifth Avenue with her. Two days
- 35:06Speaker 3: after she won her Oscar, she had like a banana
- 35:08Speaker 3: clip in her hair and a jean jacket. And not
- 35:10Speaker 3: one person even blinked. And because she doesn't do nothing,
- 35:14Speaker 3: she's very, guys, girl, I don't need that stuff. So
- 35:18Speaker 3: I bet you a million dollars she didn't have any
- 35:20Speaker 3: input and didn't care.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:22Speaker 3: I know it sounds crazy. How could you not care
- 35:23Speaker 3: what you look like? But she doesn't.
- 35:26Speaker 2: I have a theory that the biggest stars from the nineties, she,
- 35:30Speaker 2: Pamela Anderson, it's because they had such great lips, teeth,
- 35:37Speaker 2: and smile, which back then couldn't be recreated. So you
- 35:42Speaker 2: come across someone like a Pamela Anderson, perfect teeth, smile,
- 35:46Speaker 2: or her. And you're like, that's a star because it's
- 35:49Speaker 2: because you didn't see it on everybody. So now speaking
- 35:52Speaker 2: of the housewives, you know, everybody has the big giant
- 35:56Speaker 2: pearly whites and they look, I think they look good
- 35:59Speaker 2: on people. I mean, I know some people think people
- 36:01Speaker 2: go too far, but when you look at the previous
- 36:03Speaker 2: teeth and you look at the post-housewife teeth, I'm sorry
- 36:07Speaker 2: it looks better.
- 36:08Speaker 3: I feel like women carry it off better than men. Men,
- 36:11Speaker 3: sometimes when the glaring veneers come out and I'm like, whoa,
- 36:15Speaker 3: what the? That kind of shocks me a little bit.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Just the fact they went through that kind of trouble
- 36:19Speaker 3: and then they just don't blend as well as with
- 36:22Speaker 3: the women. Women, I feel like they are doing other
- 36:23Speaker 3: stuff and it's all getting blended. And men just walk
- 36:26Speaker 3: out and you're like, whoa, new teeth.
- 36:28Speaker 4: Getting back to Julia, I do have some questions.
- 36:30Speaker 2: So were you working with her when she started to
- 36:32Speaker 2: date her now husband, who was married to the makeup
- 36:35Speaker 2: artist Vera, or Veena? What was her name? Vera. Vera.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Can you give us any scoop on that? I mean,
- 36:42Speaker 2: now listen, it obviously worked out. They've been together 21 years.
- 36:45Speaker 2: They have two kids. But it was a scandal, and
- 36:48Speaker 2: it's all... You can look it up in the tabloids.
- 36:49Speaker 2: I'm not bringing up anything that... Right. And she wore, like,
- 36:52Speaker 2: a shirt that said, Hello, Vera.
- 36:54Speaker 5: I know.
- 36:55Speaker 2: And she was a makeup artist that actually... lived very
- 37:00Speaker 2: close to where we are right now. Right. And I
- 37:03Speaker 2: knew this is kind of juicy. So I knew a
- 37:05Speaker 2: mom back when our kids were little who was a writer.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Then she was just a mom and she wanted to
- 37:11Speaker 2: get back in writing and she knew her and she
- 37:15Speaker 2: wrote a fictional book from like a fictional story about
- 37:21Speaker 2: this from, from her opinion of what is it like
- 37:24Speaker 2: when you're, kind of below the line, which is what
- 37:27Speaker 2: we call people in the industry that are the prop master,
- 37:31Speaker 2: the stunt man, the assistant, the camera. And her guy
- 37:35Speaker 2: was a cameraman, not a director, a cameraman, like a
- 37:38Speaker 2: worker that gets trained. A lot of them are grandfathered in. Literally,
- 37:43Speaker 2: their grandfather was part of the union, whatever. And she
- 37:46Speaker 2: was a makeup artist, and they had a nice life
- 37:49Speaker 2: living in a middle-class, nice home in Woodland Hills. And
- 37:53Speaker 2: then they he met her on the set, I guess,
- 37:56Speaker 2: and they fell in love. And they didn't have any kids.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Not that that, you know, makes it any less devastating.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I don't want to be like Bethany Frankel who said
- 38:05Speaker 2: that Ariana shouldn't be so sad because she didn't have
- 38:07Speaker 2: a kid with Tom Sandoval. But, so she wrote this
- 38:10Speaker 2: fictional book that was published and stuff.
- 38:14Speaker 4: I don't really know that it made it, but it
- 38:16Speaker 4: was kind.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Of a juicy, did people know that that's what it
- 38:19Speaker 3: was about?
- 38:20Speaker 2: I think she just, like, I was on Chelsea Lately
- 38:23Speaker 2: at the time and she and I remember okay speaking
- 38:26Speaker 2: of this okay I remember like I was like oh
- 38:30Speaker 2: my god you finished your book and I'm on Chelsea
- 38:32Speaker 2: Lately and she's like a mom at the school right
- 38:34Speaker 2: I'm like you finished your book that is so great
- 38:38Speaker 2: you know let me know if you want me to
- 38:41Speaker 2: post about it this is before Instagram but there was
- 38:44Speaker 2: definitely Twitter we were like hot on all of us
- 38:46Speaker 2: were hot on Twitter and we'd like post about on
- 38:49Speaker 2: Twitter all the time the Chelsea Lately people and she goes.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Okay, this is how you can buy it.
- 38:56Speaker 2: You gotta buy this Lincoln, which is fine. But I
- 38:59Speaker 2: was kind of like, why wouldn't you have dropped one
- 39:02Speaker 2: off at my fucking doorstep? Like I live down the
- 39:04Speaker 2: street from you. I know she wanted to buy a
- 39:09Speaker 2: sale and I'm not being like cheap about it. I'm
- 39:12Speaker 2: just saying like, if you want somebody to promote your thing,
- 39:16Speaker 2: make it really easy for them.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Send it to them, hand it to them.
- 39:21Speaker 2: You know, I know you maybe, it's not about the $ 8.
- 39:24Speaker 2: It's just about me being like, okay, wait a minute.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Now I've got to get my purse, get my credit
- 39:29Speaker 2: card out. go get the thing.
- 39:32Speaker 4: And I honestly say I think I maybe never read it.
- 39:35Speaker 2: Now I'm kind of curious.
- 39:37Speaker 3: Well, here's my experience. I remember I was at her office.
- 39:41Speaker 3: I'd only been there a month or two. And I
- 39:42Speaker 3: was given a camera, the old cameras, the disposable, remember
- 39:47Speaker 3: those days? And I had to bring it to the
- 39:49Speaker 3: photo place. The one-hour photo. I had to pull it
- 39:52Speaker 3: off the machine myself. Nobody else was allowed to because
- 39:54Speaker 3: they didn't want anyone to see the pictures of her
- 39:56Speaker 3: and Danny doing the tequila body shots off each other.
- 39:59Speaker 3: I pulled the pictures off. They said, no one can
- 40:02Speaker 3: look at these. And I was like in a cab
- 40:04Speaker 3: with these pictures in my hand.
- 40:05Speaker 4: But she just wanted them for her memories.
- 40:07Speaker 3: Right, yeah.
- 40:07Speaker 4: Okay, yeah.
- 40:08Speaker 3: And I was like shaking because I was like, at
- 40:10Speaker 3: this point, the speculation was everywhere. Like, who is Julia
- 40:12Speaker 3: going to date next? Like, her and Benjamin are over.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Who's the next guy? So we had people calling our office. Oh,
- 40:17Speaker 3: I want to set Julia up on a date with
- 40:19Speaker 3: this person and that person. And here I am with
- 40:21Speaker 3: these photos that she was already dating someone, but no
- 40:23Speaker 3: one knew yet. And I was, because she had just broken.
- 40:26Speaker 2: Up with Benjamin. So it was clear there was an overlapping.
- 40:29Speaker 3: And I would just never forget that and thinking like
- 40:31Speaker 3: how many millions, like a million.
- 40:33Speaker 2: I could have made a million.
- 40:34Speaker 3: Let's be honest.
- 40:34Speaker 6: A million?
- 40:35Speaker 2: Probably.
- 40:35Speaker 3: Back in those days when it was like a hard
- 40:37Speaker 3: photo that the tabloids would pay for.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Right, right. I might have gotten a million.
- 40:41Speaker 3: And he's married. And they're doing tequila body shots. And
- 40:44Speaker 3: her and Benjamin had just broken up and the pictures
- 40:46Speaker 3: were not from, they were from a little before.
- 40:48Speaker 2: I was like, this is major.
- 40:50Speaker 3: But I never gave them to anyone.
- 40:52Speaker 2: I had someone just call me and be like, oh,
- 40:54Speaker 2: I've got some, you know, I've got a major story
- 40:56Speaker 2: and a major celebrity, whatever. And I'm like, okay, well,
- 41:01Speaker 2: you know, do you want to tell me now? And
- 41:02Speaker 2: I can evaluate, like, if I want you to come
- 41:04Speaker 2: on the show or not. And if you say I
- 41:06Speaker 2: can't share it, then I won't share it, whatever. And
- 41:09Speaker 2: he's like, well, I'd like to get paid for this.
- 41:11Speaker 2: I'll be honest. I want to make some monetary money
- 41:14Speaker 2: from it. I go, well, I don't pay for stories.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Out of curiosity, I'm like, so you should go to
- 41:19Speaker 2: like TMZ or something.
- 41:20Speaker 4: Out of curiosity, what are you thinking of making?
- 41:24Speaker 3: Because you're going to make $ 250.
- 41:26Speaker 2: He said a million. No, stop. And I go, definitely not.
- 41:29Speaker 2: He goes, what about $ 750?
- 41:31Speaker 4: I'm like, no.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Not even close.
- 41:32Speaker 4: What about like a couple hundred?
- 41:34Speaker 2: I'm like, no. And also your scoop isn't. And then
- 41:38Speaker 2: when I found out what the scoop was later, because
- 41:40Speaker 2: we still talked. It wasn't anything like definitive. I'm like,
- 41:47Speaker 2: we already think this person might be doing drugs. And
- 41:50Speaker 2: you're saying they are. Right. Great.
- 41:53Speaker 3: That's 500.
- 41:54Speaker 2: I would give them 500.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 41:55Speaker 2: It's not like you have like a person in office
- 41:59Speaker 2: or something that's like doing lines of cocaine off like,
- 42:02Speaker 2: you know, whatever. And then you're like, here's the photo
- 42:04Speaker 2: and here's the scoop. And we brought in three young boys.
- 42:07Speaker 2: I'm like, I mean, something that would be scandalous about somebody.
- 42:09Speaker 2: I'm like. Yeah, not a scandal.
- 42:12Speaker 3: These are not the days where you're making a million,
- 42:14Speaker 3: but back then, for a picture, because.
- 42:15Speaker 2: It was a digital.
- 42:16Speaker 3: Because that was the only way to get the scoop. Right,
- 42:18Speaker 3: and there was no paparazzi, whatever, like it is now.
- 42:21Speaker 2: This is obviously 2001.
- 42:23Speaker 3: It would have been.
- 42:25Speaker 2: A big deal.
- 42:26Speaker 4: That's why they had me pull them off.
- 42:27Speaker 3: There's a reason they didn't want the Photoshop person to
- 42:29Speaker 3: see them.
- 42:30Speaker 2: Right.
- 42:31Speaker 3: And I just brought them back to the office, and
- 42:32Speaker 3: I was like, well, there goes my million-dollar chance. I'll
- 42:35Speaker 3: just take my $ 35, 000- a- year paycheck from you, Julia, and move on.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Yeah. So then how did that job, what did you
- 42:44Speaker 2: do after that? So you were just there for a
- 42:46Speaker 2: couple of years?
- 42:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I was there.
- 42:48Speaker 2: Were you there when they got married?
- 42:51Speaker 5: No.
- 42:51Speaker 3: I was only there for a year because 9-11 happened
- 42:55Speaker 3: and we all spent that together. I worked on Made
- 42:57Speaker 3: in Manhattan.
- 42:57Speaker 4: So where were you in 9-11?
- 42:59Speaker 3: Elaine Goldsmith Thomas' apartment.
- 43:02Speaker 2: You were in New York?
- 43:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I was in New York at the office when
- 43:04Speaker 3: it happened. Julia lived two blocks away. She's doing.
- 43:07Speaker 2: with like headphones on. Aerobics, that's a word. To her TV.
- 43:11Speaker 3: And we're all just like, we got to get Julia
- 43:13Speaker 3: out of Manhattan. So we bought her an Escalade. We
- 43:15Speaker 3: filled it with supplies. We got her out. Tim Robbins
- 43:17Speaker 3: worked with us and he came up with like gas masks.
- 43:19Speaker 2: He's like, the bridges are going to blow.
- 43:21Speaker 3: And we're all like putting gas masks. It was like
- 43:23Speaker 3: a whole thing. And the whole day was about getting
- 43:24Speaker 3: Julia out of Manhattan because they're targeting these celebrities and
- 43:28Speaker 3: the bridges are wired and these crazy conspiracies. So I
- 43:31Speaker 3: spent the morning getting her out of town. And then
- 43:33Speaker 3: I walked up to Elaine's apartment. Our boss, Elaine Goldsmith Thomas,
- 43:36Speaker 3: who now produces with Jennifer Lopez. She was our, you know,
- 43:39Speaker 3: the head of Revolution Studios East. And we walked to
- 43:42Speaker 3: her apartment 80 blocks. Me and like the interns and
- 43:45Speaker 3: the staff and her assistants.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Oh, I remember that Revolution Studios. Right. Revolution East.
- 43:49Speaker 3: I worked with Rachel Horvitz, who is Adam Horvitz's sister.
- 43:52Speaker 2: She's a producer.
- 43:53Speaker 3: She's amazing.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Because I went out for, I was up. For the
- 43:59Speaker 2: talk show that Jennifer was producing that her sister was
- 44:02Speaker 2: going to be. It was going to be like the
- 44:03Speaker 2: younger view. Right. Or the hipper view. Oh, right. Before
- 44:06Speaker 2: the talk, the view had been out. The talk had
- 44:09Speaker 2: not come out. They were going to do this show
- 44:10Speaker 2: and it was going to be Jennifer's sister.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Right.
- 44:13Speaker 2: What is her name?
- 44:14Speaker 3: Jennifer Lopez's sister.
- 44:15Speaker 2: Yeah. Do you remember? I don't remember. Anyway.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Starts with a C, right?
- 44:18Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 44:19Speaker 4: It was Jennifer Lopez's sister. And then like three, you know,
- 44:22Speaker 4: there'd be three or four of us.
- 44:24Speaker 3: Oh.
- 44:24Speaker 2: And I... I tested and I got the offer. And
- 44:28Speaker 2: it was like, you know, you get the offer before
- 44:29Speaker 2: you test.
- 44:30Speaker 6: Right.
- 44:31Speaker 2: So then it's like, if you get it, this is
- 44:32Speaker 2: what you'll make.
- 44:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 44:34Speaker 2: And anyway.
- 44:36Speaker 3: And it never even happened.
- 44:37Speaker 2: I think they did the pilot, but they didn't pick me,
- 44:39Speaker 2: which is usually what happens. And but I remember thinking
- 44:43Speaker 2: that was like, you know, kind of I thought it
- 44:46Speaker 2: was a good idea. And I liked the sister.
- 44:47Speaker 4: I thought she was cool.
- 44:49Speaker 2: And I think that's when Jennifer was trying to produce
- 44:52Speaker 2: things and stuff. Right.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Then Elaine went on to become her producing partner from Julia.
- 44:57Speaker 3: So Elaine was Julia's agent. She discovered Julia in the
- 45:00Speaker 3: bowling alley with the boyfriend, the Sleeping with the Enemy guy, Patrick.
- 45:05Speaker 3: What's his name? Sleeping with the Enemy. Remember Julia's first boyfriend?
- 45:09Speaker 3: Patrick something.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Wait, wait, hold on.
- 45:12Speaker 3: Jason Patrick.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Wait, she discovered Julia? So Julia hadn't even done the
- 45:18Speaker 2: Mystic Pizza yet?
- 45:20Speaker 3: Nothing. She got her Mystic Pizza. Julia wanted to act.
- 45:24Speaker 3: She had a boyfriend named Jason Patrick who did movies.
- 45:26Speaker 3: Julia had never done anything.
- 45:28Speaker 2: But her mom ran an acting school in Georgia. Right,
- 45:31Speaker 2: but a school. That's not.
- 45:32Speaker 3: Jason brought Julia to Bowl with his childhood friend, Elaine.
- 45:36Speaker 2: In L.A.? No, New York. Brooklyn, whatever.
- 45:39Speaker 3: They were all in Brooklyn. And Elaine said, who is
- 45:42Speaker 3: this girl? I swear in my life. And then Elaine,
- 45:45Speaker 3: she was working at William Morris. Elaine was an agent.
- 45:47Speaker 2: Brought her in.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Elaine completely discovered her.
- 45:49Speaker 2: Got her Mystic Pizza.
- 45:51Speaker 3: Like, completely discovered her in this bowling alley as Jason
- 45:53Speaker 3: Patrick's girlfriend.
- 45:55Speaker 2: That's the story.
- 45:55Speaker 3: And then she was her agent for 25 years at
- 45:57Speaker 3: William Morris. And then she went on to be her
- 45:59Speaker 3: producing partner. And then left and went with J-Lo. Because
- 46:03Speaker 3: we did Made in Manhattan with J-Lo. So I worked
- 46:04Speaker 3: with Jen, like, all day, every day for three months.
- 46:07Speaker 3: It was amazing.
- 46:09Speaker 4: Isn't it so interesting, like, how.
- 46:14Speaker 2: It really can just be, you know, like you just
- 46:18Speaker 2: really can sometimes, back in those days, kind of be discovered.
- 46:23Speaker 2: And you didn't go through the Yale acting school. And
- 46:25Speaker 2: you didn't then get commercials and then was on a
- 46:28Speaker 2: soap and then got a sitcom.
- 46:30Speaker 5: Right.
- 46:30Speaker 2: And then got the movies. I kind of feel like.
- 46:34Speaker 4: What's interesting is like, you know, especially being a young person, you.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Either get right into like the movie world, the A,
- 46:41Speaker 2: the top of the pyramid.
- 46:43Speaker 5: Right.
- 46:45Speaker 4: Otherwise, it's very hard to jump.
- 46:46Speaker 2: No, you're just spinning your wheels. It's very hard to jump,
- 46:48Speaker 2: but everybody says, well, start with a commercial agent. You know,
- 46:51Speaker 2: this is back in our days. Start with a commercial
- 46:53Speaker 2: agent first. No, it's like you've got to get right
- 46:58Speaker 2: in there.
- 46:59Speaker 3: And then hope you get lucky that someone says, oh,
- 47:01Speaker 3: you have something.
- 47:02Speaker 4: I mean, that's where nepotism... and who.
- 47:05Speaker 2: You date and who you know really is true.
- 47:09Speaker 4: And so, you know, it.
- 47:10Speaker 3: Really, it really does help. The trust thing, as you know,
- 47:13Speaker 3: is big now, even now.
- 47:15Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 47:15Speaker 3: Because if you know someone already, then you can be,
- 47:18Speaker 3: you're in the circle.
- 47:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 47:19Speaker 3: So dating or coworker or someone that used to work,
- 47:21Speaker 3: you wish to work with, like they're the circle of
- 47:23Speaker 3: people you trust and that's what you're going to use.
- 47:25Speaker 3: And so she was in the circle from being his,
- 47:28Speaker 3: girlfriend so it wasn't some rando that you can't count
- 47:30Speaker 3: on you just right right even now it's the same
- 47:32Speaker 3: I as all the celebrities I know they just stay
- 47:35Speaker 3: with the same people because it's all about trust we're
- 47:37Speaker 3: not going to hire some new person that just you
- 47:38Speaker 3: know sent me the resume on the internet like if
- 47:40Speaker 3: it's your brother or your cousin or whoever I'm going
- 47:42Speaker 3: to hire them because you know them and because.
- 47:45Speaker 2: And I think it's the same thing with every industry
- 47:47Speaker 2: I say that too like when people talk about nepotism
- 47:49Speaker 2: and everything I'm like yeah and if you're you know,
- 47:53Speaker 2: and if your dad and your grandpa were plumbers and
- 47:55Speaker 2: they have a really successful plumbing business, like you're going to,
- 47:58Speaker 2: you probably are going to want to be a plumber.
- 48:00Speaker 2: And then like, and you're probably going to hire your
- 48:02Speaker 2: high school friend to work at the plumbing place. Like, like,
- 48:05Speaker 2: I mean, it does happen in other industries where it
- 48:09Speaker 2: is about knowing people and it isn't just finding someone blindly.
- 48:12Speaker 3: And even you, Heather, you use a lot of the
- 48:14Speaker 3: people on here that you've worked with before because you
- 48:16Speaker 3: know them and you know they're solid and they're going
- 48:18Speaker 3: to give a good show. And I mean, you took
- 48:21Speaker 3: a chance on me today, but. And so people could say, oh,
- 48:25Speaker 3: you know, it's just the same people. But it's because
- 48:27Speaker 3: you trust them. You know what they're going to give you.
- 48:29Speaker 2: And that's important.
- 48:30Speaker 5: Right.
- 48:30Speaker 3: When you're creating content, you don't want some firecracker. It's
- 48:36Speaker 3: going to come on and blow up your show. No,
- 48:37Speaker 3: I'm not going to.
- 48:39Speaker 2: Okay. So then you worked with J-Lo. Were you with
- 48:41Speaker 2: J-Lo during any of the Ben Affleck season one term?
- 48:45Speaker 3: Chris and her were married and he was with her every.
- 48:47Speaker 4: Chris the dancer.
- 48:48Speaker 5: Yes.
- 48:48Speaker 2: Every second of the day. Husband number one.
- 48:50Speaker 3: Yes, he was with her every second. All the meetings
- 48:52Speaker 3: we had, Chris would be like with his big sneakers
- 48:54Speaker 3: up on the thing, like stretch out, giving us, you know,
- 48:57Speaker 3: just not speaking, but like Jennifer, me, Elaine, Julia, whoever.
- 49:01Speaker 3: And he would just be there. And he was very,
- 49:04Speaker 3: very good to look at. Like his skin glowed. But
- 49:08Speaker 3: he wasn't the, wait, she had a husband before that.
- 49:10Speaker 2: Right. She had the waiter. Right.
- 49:12Speaker 4: Then she had Chris the dancer.
- 49:14Speaker 3: This is Chris the dancer that she was with during
- 49:16Speaker 3: Meet in Manhattan.
- 49:17Speaker 2: Okay.
- 49:17Speaker 3: And he was very lovely to look at. He never
- 49:19Speaker 3: spoke but he was so just like sitting there and
- 49:21Speaker 3: we were all just like look at him once in
- 49:23Speaker 3: a while.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:24Speaker 3: So I think that might have been the role he
- 49:25Speaker 3: played in her life. Just hang out, look great.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Right. But he came everywhere. It was hilarious.
- 49:30Speaker 3: Like anything we did he was there. Just not talking.
- 49:33Speaker 2: And then who was and then and did you enjoy
- 49:35Speaker 2: working with her? Oh yeah.
- 49:37Speaker 3: I loved She's the kind of person that would come,
- 49:40Speaker 3: Jen we call her, would come to the office and
- 49:42Speaker 3: give you stuff that people had sent her and be like, oh,
- 49:44Speaker 3: would you like this box of Prada clothes? I'm not
- 49:46Speaker 3: going to use them.
- 49:47Speaker 2: And you're like, what? Yes, I would like that. She
- 49:49Speaker 2: invited us. But do you think that's better than the
- 49:51Speaker 2: way Bethany does it, goes to TJ Maxx and films
- 49:54Speaker 2: the person and it's already been used? I mean, Bethany is.
- 49:57Speaker 2: I mean, J-Lo wouldn't. No, it was never used.
- 50:01Speaker 3: It was never open to see what color it was
- 50:04Speaker 3: or whatever the reason those things were already. I don't
- 50:06Speaker 3: even get why those things were used. Like if someone
- 50:09Speaker 3: sends you product and you don't want them, you give them.
- 50:12Speaker 3: But the weird thing about that whole story was how
- 50:14Speaker 3: she said, I just open it for a second to
- 50:15Speaker 3: look at it.
- 50:16Speaker 2: That was strange. Why are you opening it if you're
- 50:18Speaker 2: not going to use it? No, she did say she
- 50:19Speaker 2: used it, but she didn't use a lot of it.
- 50:22Speaker 3: OK, but if you're putting something on your lips, you
- 50:24Speaker 3: don't give that to a person. There's bacteria, there's germs.
- 50:27Speaker 3: In this post-pandemic world, what are we giving people something
- 50:30Speaker 3: you've used?
- 50:31Speaker 2: Right.
- 50:31Speaker 3: That's unsanitary.
- 50:32Speaker 4: But she would do that, which is nice, which is great.
- 50:35Speaker 2: Jennifer would never. I do that, too.
- 50:36Speaker 4: I'm always like, do you guys want this?
- 50:37Speaker 2: Right. Jen would never use the stuff. Well, she didn't
- 50:40Speaker 2: need to.
- 50:40Speaker 3: You know, unlike Bethany, she did not need to be
- 50:43Speaker 3: using things and buying things herself ever. Nobody bought anything.
- 50:47Speaker 3: Jennifer and J-Lo never bought it. I mean, Julie and
- 50:50Speaker 3: Jennifer never bought anything for themselves, like ever. You know,
- 50:53Speaker 3: we bought it.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 50:55Speaker 3: Your favorite perfume, this. Like, we got it. They're not
- 50:57Speaker 3: at the stores.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Yeah, they're not shopping at the stores. However, I saw
- 51:00Speaker 2: J-Lo at Saks in Beverly Hills. Amazing. Just in the
- 51:04Speaker 2: last five years. And we'd met before, and she was lovely.
- 51:07Speaker 4: With, like, a couple people.
- 51:09Speaker 2: I really, I mean, I think she was maybe stopped
- 51:11Speaker 2: there by to get something after or whatever. just wanted
- 51:14Speaker 2: to go. I mean, it's a beautiful store.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I'm sure they shop. I'm just saying they're
- 51:18Speaker 3: not at Target, like giving makeup to people.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Yeah, she's stunning.
- 51:21Speaker 3: It's another level. We'll put Bethany here on the level,
- 51:25Speaker 3: and then, you know, Jen's not going to Target.
- 51:29Speaker 2: So you weren't there during the Ben Affleck years? No,
- 51:32Speaker 2: not at all.
- 51:32Speaker 3: I was not there, but obviously Elaine has worked with
- 51:35Speaker 3: her closely all these years, and I'm close with Elaine,
- 51:37Speaker 3: so I get a lot of the scoop with Ben.
- 51:40Speaker 2: I heard the Ben.
- 51:40Speaker 3: This is my favorite quote from someone in the inner
- 51:44Speaker 3: circle about Ben and Jen. They said the first week
- 51:47Speaker 3: that they were back together, they had more sex than
- 51:50Speaker 3: Jen had with A-Rod in the entire marriage, or entire engagement. Like,
- 51:55Speaker 3: since she knew A-Rod, I think they dated for three years,
- 51:57Speaker 3: she had more sex with Ben that week, and I
- 51:59Speaker 3: was like, enough said.
- 52:01Speaker 4: I totally believe that.
- 52:04Speaker 2: Also, because when they got back together, I'm like, I
- 52:07Speaker 2: think this is, like, awesome, because only J-Lo could hook
- 52:12Speaker 2: up with a guy that she dated 20 years ago
- 52:14Speaker 2: and be like, I'm more gorgeous now than I was
- 52:17Speaker 2: 20 years ago. And I'm, you know, and I've, I've
- 52:21Speaker 2: always been very attracted to Ben Affleck. So I, I
- 52:23Speaker 2: like that.
- 52:24Speaker 4: They're very tall.
- 52:25Speaker 2: Have you met him in person?
- 52:26Speaker 3: He's very tall.
- 52:26Speaker 2: I went, I went to a premiere that he was doing. Um,
- 52:31Speaker 2: so I did get to see him like standing there. No,
- 52:33Speaker 2: it's the height.
- 52:34Speaker 3: Cause I've met him. I met with him and I
- 52:36Speaker 3: was an executive for Fox for, for Harold Ramis. They
- 52:40Speaker 3: came in to pitch me a movie and they pulled
- 52:42Speaker 3: up in this blue convertible antique car. How like on brand,
- 52:46Speaker 3: the two of them, they jump out there right in
- 52:48Speaker 3: front of my window, my bungalow, they jump out of
- 52:50Speaker 3: the car, they're the convertible and they come in and
- 52:52Speaker 3: we had this amazing meeting and they were so animated,
- 52:55Speaker 3: but I was very swoony over Ben because he was
- 52:57Speaker 3: just like, tall and i don't know like he looks
- 53:00Speaker 3: like he could just like wrap his arms around you
- 53:02Speaker 3: yeah i was very into him not matt but i
- 53:04Speaker 3: was into him.
- 53:05Speaker 2: They just did some like exclusive photos and it's just
- 53:08Speaker 2: them in a car i think she might be driving
- 53:11Speaker 2: i don't know um oh no no he'd be driving
- 53:13Speaker 2: and she's just there and she's looking straight ahead and
- 53:15Speaker 2: he's like and you know they're snapping it they're like
- 53:19Speaker 2: oh my god what is this about it must they
- 53:21Speaker 2: must be arguing and You have to get a lip reader.
- 53:24Speaker 2: The lip reader. I love the lip readers. Well, it
- 53:26Speaker 2: was just, I don't even think it was video. It
- 53:27Speaker 2: was just like a snap. And they must be arguing
- 53:29Speaker 2: because he's been co-parenting so well with Jennifer Garner.
- 53:33Speaker 4: And I'm like, oh my God.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Like anybody cares. And then you read the whole thing.
- 53:36Speaker 2: They're like, seen driving around in LA on Friday. I'm like,
- 53:41Speaker 2: Friday LA traffic? That's why they're not smiling. Like it
- 53:45Speaker 2: has nothing to do with jealousy or whatever. But we
- 53:49Speaker 2: do enjoy talking about that. Of course. I love it.
- 53:52Speaker 2: And I think they, I don't think she necessarily minds it.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Like sometimes I think, in my opinion, she, and Jennifer
- 54:00Speaker 2: Garner too, go out and engage with paparazzi where they weren't,
- 54:05Speaker 2: you know, shocked to see them on the corner is
- 54:07Speaker 2: what I'm saying. Of course. Of course. Yeah.
- 54:09Speaker 3: The tender moments. Because then we see them, you know,
- 54:11Speaker 3: on the red carpet and they're definitely arguing. And then
- 54:13Speaker 3: immediately you'll see the tender moment a few days later.
- 54:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Right, at the Dunkin' Donuts. Yeah, like, oh, how
- 54:19Speaker 2: did we just happen to know that? Well, tell us
- 54:21Speaker 2: a little bit about how you decided to do this
- 54:25Speaker 2: book and explain it a little bit to us because
- 54:27Speaker 2: it's so fun.
- 54:28Speaker 4: There's all this great art. It's all different quizzes.
- 54:33Speaker 2: So you can really play with your friends or play
- 54:35Speaker 2: by yourself with the answers on the bottom.
- 54:39Speaker 4: So tell me a little bit about.
- 54:40Speaker 2: How you came about it.
- 54:41Speaker 3: So this book actually ties into Julia Roberts because when
- 54:43Speaker 3: I went to work for Julia, I was her story editor.
- 54:46Speaker 3: And the gentleman who was the story editor that I
- 54:48Speaker 3: was replacing, I met him briefly.
- 54:49Speaker 2: The story editor for what? Julia Roberts' True Lace Productions. Oh,
- 54:53Speaker 2: so you'd read scripts that came in and stuff? Okay.
- 54:55Speaker 3: I was her story editor. So I was replacing a
- 54:57Speaker 3: guy named Mark. I'd never met him before. And I,
- 55:00Speaker 3: at the time, was writing this big gossip column for
- 55:03Speaker 3: Warren Zide, who produced American Pie. So he had a
- 55:05Speaker 3: website for American Pie, and my blog was on there.
- 55:08Speaker 3: And it was a big blog. It had like 500,000 subscribers.
- 55:11Speaker 2: And it was anonymous.
- 55:12Speaker 3: And I would just talk about Hollywood and our, like,
- 55:15Speaker 3: you know, development.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Now, I have to say, now, while you have this job,
- 55:19Speaker 2: did they not know that you had this blog?
- 55:21Speaker 3: No, they love my blog. Julia bought my blog to
- 55:23Speaker 3: make into a TV show with Darren Star. They love
- 55:24Speaker 3: my blog.
- 55:25Speaker 2: What was it called?
- 55:26Speaker 3: It was called D Girl Diary.
- 55:27Speaker 2: They did a huge.
- 55:27Speaker 4: Wait, I remember this.
- 55:29Speaker 3: Everybody knows D Girl Diary.
- 55:30Speaker 4: So what happened with the show?
- 55:32Speaker 3: Well, 9-11 happened. Darren Star took me to the. season
- 55:35Speaker 3: the finale of Sex and the City at Lincoln Center
- 55:38Speaker 3: because I was his new like Candace Bushnell because of
- 55:40Speaker 3: my blog it was amazing and I had a book
- 55:42Speaker 3: deal with Harper Collins and they were going to make
- 55:44Speaker 3: it a TV show and I was like on the
- 55:45Speaker 3: development slate at my company it was so great So
- 55:48Speaker 3: I wrote this blog in Hollywood and it was anonymous
- 55:51Speaker 3: at first and then for Warren. And then they Anna
- 55:55Speaker 3: David did a big spread on me in Premiere magazine.
- 55:57Speaker 3: I had pictures of me to out me. And it
- 55:59Speaker 3: was funny. It was just like, this is the girl, everybody.
- 56:01Speaker 3: Like all the guesses that you've all had is not right.
- 56:03Speaker 3: This is her. I'm pretty sure you don't know who
- 56:05Speaker 3: you know her. But I would write all the inside,
- 56:08Speaker 3: not most, not like trashing celebrities. It was really like
- 56:11Speaker 3: the us, the development people who sold the drugs, who
- 56:13Speaker 3: did that. You know, I just use different names. And
- 56:15Speaker 3: then I would talk about like Jennifer Aniston's birthday party
- 56:17Speaker 3: that we all snuck in the back window and the Sundance,
- 56:20Speaker 3: you know, the, we all like, you know, went through
- 56:22Speaker 3: the garage, like how we would get into all these
- 56:23Speaker 3: crazy parties.
- 56:24Speaker 2: You're saying like, you know, we don't know. Oh, how
- 56:26Speaker 2: did you do it?
- 56:27Speaker 3: Because my best friend and I had a saying, if
- 56:30Speaker 3: we know the address of a party, we're going. So
- 56:32Speaker 3: the whole guest list and all that, whatever you would
- 56:35Speaker 3: go half the time, as long as you know that
- 56:37Speaker 3: it's going on, they'll let you in because you know,
- 56:39Speaker 3: you're there, you're in the hills, you're at the house.
- 56:41Speaker 3: And if we didn't like, For Jennifer Aniston, it was
- 56:44Speaker 3: at some bar on Sunset, and we went up to
- 56:47Speaker 3: the front, and they had closed the party because it
- 56:49Speaker 3: was over capacity. You know, the fire marshal gets out there,
- 56:51Speaker 3: and my friend gives the fire marshal $ 100, so he
- 56:53Speaker 3: lets us in. And then in Sundance, there was a
- 56:56Speaker 3: big party for, it was like Blues Traveler was singing, blah, blah, blah,
- 57:01Speaker 3: you know, the 90s. And we literally went through the back,
- 57:04Speaker 3: a window through the garage. My friend and I snuck
- 57:07Speaker 3: through the window to get into the party.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Everybody was there.
- 57:08Speaker 3: It was like Cameron Diaz, but still everybody was there.
- 57:11Speaker 2: And then you'd write about that. Right, in my blog.
- 57:14Speaker 2: So how do you feel about the du moi? Now,
- 57:18Speaker 2: du moi supposedly has all these deals and stuff for
- 57:21Speaker 2: TV shows and stuff, and nobody knows who she is.
- 57:23Speaker 2: I've been on her show, so I have talked to
- 57:25Speaker 2: her on the phone. I believe she had the weird
- 57:27Speaker 2: voice thing when I did it. Yeah.
- 57:30Speaker 4: And what is your opinion of how she does it?
- 57:33Speaker 3: I mean, all my followers say that I'm like the
- 57:37Speaker 3: 90s du moi.
- 57:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 57:39Speaker 3: So I've got all the tea. It's just from the 90s.
- 57:41Speaker 2: So if you care about the 90s, come to me.
- 57:43Speaker 4: I call it Juicy Scoop History.
- 57:44Speaker 3: Right.
- 57:45Speaker 4: Juicy Scoop History.
- 57:46Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 57:46Speaker 2: And eventually I plan, I've been manifesting that I will
- 57:50Speaker 2: be teaching a class one day at USC. I will
- 57:53Speaker 2: be a salaried professor. Right. Love it. Doing either Real
- 57:57Speaker 2: Housewives History, Juicy Scoop History.
- 57:59Speaker 4: It'll be a combo class.
- 58:02Speaker 3: Well, she, I definitely... I feel like I bring the
- 58:06Speaker 3: history to my followers. So I do like Dumois. She's
- 58:08Speaker 3: reposted me a bunch of times, so we have a rapport.
- 58:11Speaker 3: She gave me her book, autographed book for a giveaway
- 58:13Speaker 3: I was doing. So she's nice. It's two, I think,
- 58:17Speaker 3: aren't they? I think it's two. Two girls.
- 58:20Speaker 4: Oh, is that the secret? Is that why it's called Dumois?
- 58:23Speaker 3: It's two girls. I don't know if they're still doing
- 58:25Speaker 3: it together, but it's for sure two girls. I can
- 58:27Speaker 3: see the picture of their faces in my head, who
- 58:29Speaker 3: they really are. I would never say their name because
- 58:30Speaker 3: I actually don't remember. But people in Hollywood, inside Hollywood,
- 58:34Speaker 3: know who they are.
- 58:35Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 58:35Speaker 3: So they do get real scoop from real people.
- 58:38Speaker 2: But a lot of it is just sharing an anonymous
- 58:43Speaker 2: DM on their stories, which I sort of have a
- 58:49Speaker 2: little bit of a moral issue with. That's why I
- 58:51Speaker 2: don't really cover it. I think it's kind of interesting
- 58:53Speaker 2: when somebody sends it to me. They're like, what do
- 58:55Speaker 2: you think about that? I'm like, that's interesting. It informs you,
- 58:58Speaker 2: but you're not going to post it. Right, and I'm
- 59:00Speaker 2: not going to report on it because I'm like, Literally
- 59:03Speaker 2: someone could write a DM and they're like, I saw
- 59:07Speaker 2: Heather making out with Thea. at HQ right after it
- 59:14Speaker 2: was this day, which they, I know they just recorded
- 59:16Speaker 2: their show. So they went over there, they had three
- 59:18Speaker 2: margaritas and they were making out.
- 59:20Speaker 4: Anonymous, please.
- 59:22Speaker 2: And it's just not true. Like, it's not true. It
- 59:24Speaker 2: could be true.
- 59:25Speaker 3: The day is young.
- 59:26Speaker 2: Right. But I'm saying it could be true. And there's
- 59:29Speaker 2: enough facts that you're like, oh, and then it gets
- 59:32Speaker 2: in your head.
- 59:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 59:33Speaker 2: And then I'm like, and now forever, when two people
- 59:36Speaker 2: see us together, they're going to be like, I always
- 59:39Speaker 2: remember that rumor.
- 59:41Speaker 4: You know, like the gerbil up Richard Gere's butt.
- 59:43Speaker 3: Well, the way Bravo and Cocktails does it, and I
- 59:45Speaker 3: don't know if Dumont does it the same way, but
- 59:47Speaker 3: I assume probably partially, is she knows the source, and
- 59:50Speaker 3: it's usually a big one, like a housewife, and then
- 59:52Speaker 3: turns it into a blind because it's based on real info,
- 59:55Speaker 3: and Bravo and Cocktails wants to get that info out there.
- 59:58Speaker 3: But she can't say like, oh, you know, Teresa gave
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: me this.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: So it's like, I have a friend who went to
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: the party.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: No, there's not a friend.
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: So a lot of them are fake, but they're real.
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: Okay, that's good. So that's why a lot of hers
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: do turn out to be true.
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: Yeah, I like Bravo cocktails too. Yeah, because they turn
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: out to be true because she got it from a
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: real person. She just can't say that. And they want
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: to disguise the fact that it came from them. So
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: they'll pretend like it's someone else. But that's a lot
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: of them. And that's why her info is good. And
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: I've done that too. I have gotten tea from, I
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: know exactly who I'm getting it from, but I will.
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: I will try to change it so it doesn't look
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: like it's coming from them. I'll be like, oh, I
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: got this random tip. I don't know who this person is.
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: It must be a Finsta, but it's not. It's that person,
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: so I know it's true. So I don't do blinds
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: a lot either because I don't trust them, and I've
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: been burned before. A blog, a Bravo page sent me
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: false tea, so I'd post it to make me look
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: bad once, and I'll never forget it.
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: Wait, wait, what did you do?
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: A Bravo page that doesn't like me sent me tea
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: and was like, oh, my God, you should post this.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: It's amazing.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: And I did, and she did it on purpose. It
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: was not true. It's fine. I don't care. Oh, my gosh.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: And ever since then, I was like, nope, I'm not
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: taking tea unless I know who you are. I'm not
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: just going to post whatever.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: So now I have to know who it is and
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: then I'll disguise it for them so no one would
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: ever know where it came from.
- 1:01:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: And so that way I can really rely on what
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: I'm posting. Like my followers know 90% of what I
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: post is 100% true because I'm talking to this person
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: on the phone who is on The Real Housewives.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: So it's true.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: I just can't say it came from them.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: So I say it. I just word it.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: And I feel like I know Bravo and Cocktails does that.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: And if Dumas is smart, they do that, too.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: You think they will... Well, I kind of go with
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: this is my theory and this is my opinion. Oh, right.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: And.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: you know, and I do have those as well based
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: on what I've gotten, but also my knowledge and putting
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: two and two together, right. Being in this business. Then I,
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: and so I am probably giving you what is true,
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: you know, what the scoop is, but it isn't so much,
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: you know, um, or this person. And I never like
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: to do anything about someone being fired on the housewives.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: I'm like, I never say I want someone fired and
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: I never want to like predict someone being fired because
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: I think that's like shitty.
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: Well, because, you know, it's about we're all trying to
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: make a living.
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: So I want to cut someone's living off. I know.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: So when people you have also noticed, too, with the
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: way these group these people work, too, is they'll like
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: they'll be on a podcast or something and they'll talk
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: about me and they'll say I.
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: Threaten them in a DM or something.
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: And I'm like, what? And someone will send that to me,
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: the little clip. And I go and I listen and
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: I go, I can't believe this. I never had a
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: beef with this person. And I go and I go
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: back on our DMs and there's nothing, nothing like that.
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: And I'm like, they want me to then clear it
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: up on this show, which is a much bigger audience.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: So they get the views. To say, hey, I had
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: no problem with Joe Schmo.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: Why are they saying this? What an asshole. And then
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: they could go back and be like, ooh.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: Okay sorry you know and we can get you know
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: and they love that for the.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: Views yeah so now I'm just like no you.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Don't engage no no no I'm not giving you free
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: publicity based on a lot and I'm never threatening anybody
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: or you know like it's so dumb I'm like.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: Isn't your husband a lawyer no He's not a lawyer.
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: My sister and brother-in-law are a lawyer. Okay, so you
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: have lawyers?
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: But he is very, very good. Lawyers will tell you,
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: don't ever put anything in writing.
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: He could be a lawyer. Okay. He could pass the
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: baby bar way before Kim could. No, he is very
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: good at reading contracts. He's very good at understanding things.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: So I'll say, can you explain this thing to me sometimes? Oh, good.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: You know, whatever. I need to get a lawyer. Yeah,
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: and then, like, give me the cliff note version. Okay, wait,
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: I got off track. So the book.
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: So this guy that I replaced at Julia Roberts' company, Mark,
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: He went on to be book scout for all the
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: big studios, and he's the one that brought my book deal.
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: He worked for Judith Regan, and he brought my book
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: to Judith Regan, who bought it.
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: The one about the D-Girl stuff.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: I only had met him for a minute, but he
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: read my blog.
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: So he was like, you write D-Girl Diary. I'm going
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: to get you a book deal.
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: And they had just done the premiere, which outed me.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: So he got it to Judith. Judith signed me. Then
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: Judith got fired for the OJ book.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: Right, which was, to remind people, was she published the book.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: OJ wrote a book saying, if I did it, this
- 1:04:03Speaker 2: is how I would have done it. Which people, as
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: you can imagine, didn't really appreciate. Yeah, I don't think
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: Kim Goldman and her father appreciated that or the Brown family.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: That was my publisher, so that's why my book never
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: got published. But anyway, Mark went on to become a
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: book scout for all the big studios. He still does this.
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: And he eventually married a girl who works for a publisher.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: And that's the girl who called me to say, I
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: love your page. I love your moms are watching. I
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: want you to do a trivia book for me.
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: Oh, so it was kind of her idea.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: It was her idea. I didn't have any idea.
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: And she said, I just feel like with your page.
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: And I was telling her, I'm not really this encyclopedia.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: I've watched all the shows, but I'm not one of
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: those people where you can say like on season two,
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: I'm like, huh, I don't know. I don't have that brain.
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm creative.
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: I'm not like, you know.
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: So did you use anyone to help? Pre-med. No, I
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: used nobody.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: And you can tell when you go through it. But anyway,
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: the point is. I did it for her because she
- 1:04:50Speaker 3: loves my page and she knew that I would have
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: like a lot of good insights. And so I wrote
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: it for her and now I'm doing a Vanderpump rules one.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: So I'm almost done with that one.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: Um, so basically the idea of it, I think this
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: is so fun and so great. And you know, I feel,
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: and I don't feel like it was too easy. Even
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: some of them, even some of them, I was like,
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: I don't know if that was Bali or if that was,
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: see this trip. I see it in my head and
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: I'm like, Ooh, that was a, That was a good one. So, like,
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: I think you could have a lot of fun with
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: your friends on your girl nights. Right. And see how
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: well people do. And there's different scoring. And it's all
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: the different cities. And it's a good size. It's a
- 1:05:32Speaker 2: good price. It's sparkly. I like it.
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: This is what I think about it. I've always thought
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: of it this way. Is that there has never been
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: a book... that has everything in it. Like you can
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: go to Dubai, you can go to DC, you know?
- 1:05:44Speaker 3: And it goes from day one to the last day
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: when I wrote it. And so I feel like this
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: is like the definitive, like have this at your house
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: because now this is where it all is. Like all
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: the big memeable moments, all the things we've forgotten. And
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: then I was thinking it'd be a good thing for
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: BravoCon where you could get, I think we should make
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: these people sign it. Like make these housewives stop for
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: a second. How much, how annoyed would they be?
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: I love it.
- 1:06:04Speaker 3: How annoyed would they be? Like, Kyle, because Kyle Richards
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: is on the front.
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: Kyle, can you sign my book?
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: She's going to want to kill me.
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: Kyle gave you a quote.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Kyle, Melissa Gorg is on the back.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: A fun and witty trip down Housewives memory lane. Very nice.
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: And then Melissa Gorg is on the back.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: And Kate Casey gave a great foreword. Kate Casey is
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: a good friend of mine. She's such a good writer
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: in kind of explaining Housewives. you know, in general.
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:06:26Speaker 4: In a really smart way.
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: And then we have Margaret Josephs, Maricel Patton, Joanna Krupa,
- 1:06:31Speaker 3: of course, because she's in my family. Alexis Bellino.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: She's in your family. What do you mean?
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: Well, she dated my brother for two years and they're
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: still best friends.
- 1:06:37Speaker 2: When? Pre-Romaine.
- 1:06:39Speaker 3: Because if you ever looked up my brother, you would
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: see he looks exactly like Romaine. She dated my brother
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: and then a guy looked just... So they were back
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: in the day where they hung out with Slade Smiley.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: They hung out with Joe Francis. You know how that
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: all turned out.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: We know, yeah.
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: And Cato Kalin is my brother's best friend.
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: I know Kato, too.
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: I told my brother I was coming on here and
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: he was like, oh, Kato's going to die because I
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: love Kato. Kato comes to like my family gatherings. That's
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: how close we all are with Kato. And Joanna is
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: the same. She's like a sister.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: So that was a whole.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: And so we dated for two years. Very serious. He
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: picked her up literally from the airport from Poland and
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: like got her her first like modeling gig for Piken,
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: you know, Piken.
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: He used to do these things.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: Robert Piken, he's a big real estate guy out here.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: He used to do this.
- 1:07:19Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: I know Robert Paikin. Of course. The bald head. Right.
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: So Paikin used to do these videos with girls. Oh, yeah.
- 1:07:24Speaker 5: This is like.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: I know.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: We probably were at the same parties at the same time.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Blast from the past. Yeah.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: We went to the Playboy Mansion every Saturday night on
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: the little bus because Joanna was always at the Playboy Mansion.
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. I went on the bus.
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: So Paikin had these little videos where he would put
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: girls on to sell his real estate. And he hired Joanna.
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: Her first job was like $ 2, 000 to come on and
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: be like, you know, hi, I'm Joanna.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: Bye, Erica.
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: And my brother started dating her immediately, like from the
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: airport hang. I don't know where my brother stocks these
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: girls out, but he finds them and he found her.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: And he's like, I got this girl.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: She's from Poland. I'm paying for her mom. I'm paying
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: for Marta. I'm paying for the whole family, the rent.
- 1:07:56Speaker 3: It's amazing.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: And I meet her, Heather.
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: He goes, you have to meet my girlfriend. She's amazing.
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: And he goes, we're going to Sizzler. I'm like, hmm,
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: interesting choice.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: I go to Sizzler.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: She's like, this is my favorite restaurant. She had like
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: a thick accent at the time. And she was wearing
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: head to toe leather pants. with just little straps right
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: over the nipple, like nothing else. It was like a bodysuit,
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: but it was just like, boop, at Sizzler. She, of course,
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: looked stunning. I couldn't even, I was mesmerized by her eyes.
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: Yeah, she's beautiful.
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: She's like, this is my favorite restaurant. I'm like, who
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: the heck is this bimbo you've picked up? Because I
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: don't know her yet, how sweet she is. She's amazing.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: But at the time, I was like, what was this
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: girl that made you go to Sizzler and she's wearing
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: head-to-toe leather? I'm not into it.
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: I just saw a TikTok of a beautiful girl saying,
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: I love Cheesecake Factory. She's from Australia. And she goes,
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: and when I came back to Australia, every Australian asked her,
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: did you.
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: Go to Cheesecake Factory? And they love it.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: And she's like, that brown bread and everything. I don't know.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: There's certain places that it's just unique to here, I.
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: Guess, if you don't grow up here.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: I was fascinated, and that was my first impression. And
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: then ever since then, and she basically didn't talk. She
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: just pushed her lips and held on to my brother
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: the whole dinner. And I was just like, do you
- 1:09:06Speaker 3: speak English? And she's like, yes, of course. And I
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: was like, well, you could You know, we have a
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: big family of 10 people in my family, eight kids.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: We need to know who you are if you're going
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: to date my brother. And he was driving a Maserati
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: and living the life at the time.
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: Where's the brother now?
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: My brother?
- 1:09:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: He's in the Dominican Republic, living in the Dominican Republic,
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: selling like stem cells. Like you can go to him
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: to get cheap stem cells.
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: What do you do with stem cells?
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: You can put them in your body to like help
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: you with things. Like if you have like a chronic problem,
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: they insert them. He goes, I got a million STEMIs
- 1:09:39Speaker 3: right in my freezer. You got to come down here
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: for your MS. I'm going to put these STEMIs right
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: in you. I'm going to cure you right up. I'm like, Eric,
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: when did you become a doctor? Because he did. He
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: trained for Miss USA.
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: You have MS? Yes.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: And how long have you had it for?
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: So I got diagnosed three weeks after 9-11 when I
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: worked for Julia. So Julia and Elaine got me my
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: doctor who was like the most famous MS doctor in
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: the world and like saved my life. Because I would
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: be in meetings with Julia, Jennifer Lopez, Elaine, and I
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: would be falling on the floor like my– armored fall
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: asleep all the way up to the side of my
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: face and I'd be laying down with the meeting.
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: Like no no I got this I'm taking the notes and.
- 1:10:13Speaker 3: They're like are you okay and they finally sent me
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: the hospital like you have to get this checked out
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: this is not normal and they diagnosed me and they
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: took care.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: Of me I just want to say like you look
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: great I would never know and for having it for
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: 23 years you should share Your knowledge.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: I do on my PA. And your moms are watching.
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: I have so many MS people. Okay, good. I'm sure
- 1:10:31Speaker 2: you could direct people to some stuff.
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: The medicines they have now.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: But it's not your brother's stem cell?
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: Why not? My brother wants me down there so bad.
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: Why not?
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: Because you don't understand how many, I'm not going to
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: say scams, business endeavors my brother has pitched to my family.
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: We are all so over it.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: He's like, listen, you guys. First he did the kids.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: Get your kid into the movie business. That was his business.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: Kids and teens.
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: Oh, go to the thing.
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: Don't you want to be on Disney? Right. And then
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: you pay all that money.
- 1:11:02Speaker 3: He worked for the Brian Rotman. He did this whole thing.
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: And then, right, bar one. They were always up bar one.
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: So he had this thing where he pitched. He would
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: go to a, get a bunch of, we would scout
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: the kids out at the mall. Every kid was a star.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: And come to the seminar. And he would stand up there.
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: And now my brother was.
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: Can I just say one thing? And then we'll go back.
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: Because I thought about this the other day. So my
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: mom and dad are realtors.
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: And we did have agents as kids, and my sister
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: did have kids in the business. But my mom would
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: do that to ingratiate herself to get the listing. No
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: matter what the kid looked like, my mom would be like,
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: get that kid an agent. And then they'd be like,
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: all right, I think you can sell our house. Everybody
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: wants to hear that their kid can be a star.
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: So you're at the mall scouting out the people. They
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: come in.
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: This is what the scam that we were running was
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: that O'Brien Rotman, the O'Brien Rotman charged you $ 1, 500 for
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: the package.
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: And what did the package include?
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: It was like pictures and, you know, headshots and training.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: I mean, BS, right?
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: You do get a manager, which is important, but the
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: manager has 400,000 clients because they all go to her.
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: So my brother's pitch was, hi. So O'Brien Rotman, whoever
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: the guy is, Eric Rotman, he would send my brother
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: the people who rejected him. And then my brother would
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: have us call and say, hi, like I saw you
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: at this O'Brien-Rotman thing. I was just in the back,
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: you know, looking. And I noticed like how amazing your
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: kid is. But like, what are they, crazy?
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: $ 1, 200?
- 1:12:24Speaker 3: You shouldn't be paying more than $ 500 for this. Like
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: $ 500 max. Why don't you come meet my brother? He's
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: a casting director because, by the way, he casted the
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: extras for Biodome.
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: I'm not kidding. Pauly Shore's movie, Biodome. So he's a
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: big casting director.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: Come meet Eric. And he's going to bring it to
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: your kid. And then the seminar my brother did, it
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: was so gold. He would stand up there and he'd
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: be like, listen, parents, I got to tell you right
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: off the bat. When I get your kid onto a sitcom,
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: I'm sorry, but you're only going to get, because of
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Gary Coleman, 10%. So if they're making $ 450, 000 a week,
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: you're only going to make $ 45, 000. The rest goes into
- 1:13:02Speaker 3: a trust. And the parents are like, 45, what did
- 1:13:04Speaker 3: you say?
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: My son's going to be. And they're like, here, take
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: my money. That was the pitch. So they would sign
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: up for $ 500. And then they'd just never hear from
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: them again. So he did.
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: I don't want to say that it wasn't completely legit.
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: They did get a manager, but no. So he could
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: only do it in each city for like a year
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: because then he started getting the lawsuits.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: So he would move.
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: This is my brother. This, by the way, is Joanna
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: Krupa's boyfriend. So don't take it up with me. And
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: then they went out for two years and then she
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: got the Playboy cover. And my brother went to a
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: party with her for the Playboy cover. And he met
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: Dean Cain.
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: Right. Superman.
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: And Dean Cain said to my brother, like, guess who
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: I banged last night? And it was Joanna.
- 1:13:48Speaker 2: That's his girlfriend.
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: And that was the end of the relationship. But they're
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: still best friends. We all laugh about the story now
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: in our family. Dean Cain, Superman.
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: And is she and Brandi Glanville okay?
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: Is Brandi Glanville okay?
- 1:14:01Speaker 2: Well, you know that's what happened with them.
- 1:14:04Speaker 3: No, the Oh, the vagina.
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: My brother swears that Joanna Krupa's vagina smells like a
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: rose bed.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: He swears.
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: But they are best friends to this day, so he
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: wouldn't say otherwise.
- 1:14:17Speaker 2: Well, for people just to remind you what happened was,
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: it was on the after show of Watch What Happens Live,
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: and Brandy just said, well, I was told by Mohammed,
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: or Mohammed told Lisa Vanderbilt, who told me, that it
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: doesn't smell like a rose. And what I think the
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: problem was is that, and I've learned this now, but
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: it took a long time, is you shouldn't even try
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: to defend such nonsense.
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: You should just.
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: Don't give it any light. Right, just say it's not true.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: And she went hardcore and they went back and forth
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: for years and I think they finally settled, but she
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: was suing Brandy. Of course.
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: That's personal.
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: You don't tell anybody, Mike.
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: And then they were all on the list.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: I brought it up because I thought, I felt bad
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: for everyone involved, but I did think it was just
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: like such kind of a funny, you know, so every
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: time like page six was right about it.
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: And so then they would get on the, they'd be deposed.
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: To go and, like, Andy was on the deposition, and
- 1:15:24Speaker 2: then I think Mark Consuelos was. We need those transcripts.
- 1:15:28Speaker 4: Well, none of them ended up going.
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: They got settled. But then they would be annoyed, like,
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: with everyone involved because they're like, I don't want to
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: fly to L.A. and be, why are you deposing me? Like,
- 1:15:39Speaker 2: Andy Cohen and Lisa Vanderpump and everything. And then and
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: then it was like, well, now we we need to
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: speak to the gynecologist. And finally, I think they just
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: then they agreed. And it's obviously a settlement that we
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: can't that we are not made aware of. But oh,
- 1:15:54Speaker 2: my God. Well, my brother is. I really think they
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: probably could have been great friends.
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: My brother has posted on his little Facebook page. I mean,
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: my brother's not a public figure, although he's like best
- 1:16:03Speaker 3: friends with Cato and Janice Dickinson and all those people.
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: But he's not a public figure. But he has posted
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: on there. Here is my take on this. Her vagina
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: smells amazing. I've never smelled anything like it. It's like
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: you're down there. It's like, you know, she just smells
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: like flowers. And, I mean, he has gone in. He's
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: been like, I promise. And we've been broken up for years.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: And that's why they're still friends today. Of course.
- 1:16:26Speaker 3: He's very big on the vagina smells lovely thing. And
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: I think Joanna really appreciates that because he has personal knowledge.
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: Do you know if Joanna would ever want to come
- 1:16:32Speaker 2: back to Miami? No, 100%. Would she ever go on
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: anybody else's like a Beverly Hills or something?
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: I got a blurb for my book. And literally when
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: I approached her, like I said, I'm texting her like
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: we're family. She said she didn't even want to talk
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: to me about like this book is Housewives. I want nothing.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Oh, OK.
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: So she was like and then I begged her as
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: like I pulled the family card and my brother called
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: her and he was like, Joanna, you got to give
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: it to my sister. And we've hung out, me and Joanna.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: So she gave in, but she did not. So she will,
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: not only does she never want to come back to Housewives,
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: she doesn't want anything to do with any of it.
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: She's like very anti.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: Because she's married and a mom now, right?
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: No, she's divorced again.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: Oh, but she is a mom. She's a single mom. Oh, okay.
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: So she, yeah, she has her life. She's in Poland
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: a lot. She does modeling in Poland. She is just,
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: I don't know what happened, what it is, but I
- 1:17:17Speaker 3: can tell you right now, she is never coming anywhere
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: near Bravo. You'll never see her again.
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: She didn't even want to talk to me about it.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: You'll never see my face again. Yes, ever. I'm out
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: of here. Ready. Well, thank you so much. This is amazing.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: I'm really glad you came out. You guys should get
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: it now. Order it. Tell them where they can find it.
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: You can find it on Amazon. It's at Barnes &
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: Noble and all those places. Books a million. But also,
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: you guys, I'm going to try to sell some of
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: these at BravoCon.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: I'll be there.
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: She wasn't going to.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: And I was like. Heather talked me into it. I go,
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: come on, girl.
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: No, I just was trying to figure out logistics of
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: how to carry books around because they don't let you
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: come into the conference with like a bag, a rolling suitcase.
- 1:17:53Speaker 2: I think we're going to make a plan where maybe
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: it'll be able to be sold in and around the facility. facility.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: So you'll be seeing people selling this and then you
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: should buy it at BravoCon to get it.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: I would say just get it before BravoCon. Go get
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: it and bring it in your bag and have fun.
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: And our plan, me and Heather, because you can blame
- 1:18:09Speaker 3: this on Heather McDonald, that we want you to really
- 1:18:12Speaker 3: annoy the housewives and make every one of them sign
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: when you do your little photo ops. They'll sign right there.
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: They're going to love this. They're going to love the
- 1:18:18Speaker 3: extra two minutes it takes and the pen and all that.
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: And then you could tell them Heather McDonald and Thea
- 1:18:23Speaker 3: D'Souza from Your Moms Are Watching told us to get
- 1:18:25Speaker 3: this autograph and they can't, what are they gonna say?
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: They're gonna have to do it and they're gonna want
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: to kill me and it's gonna be amazing. They're all
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: gonna block me and they're gonna be like, you're the
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: one that made that, you got the ink all over
- 1:18:34Speaker 3: my blouse and the girl with the fumbling pen and I'm.
- 1:18:37Speaker 2: Like, listen. And the person who could work their phone. No, exactly.
- 1:18:40Speaker 3: I'm sorry, these little photo ops you wait two hours for,
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: we need to get some ink on a book for that.
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: You get the one snap photo, it comes out blurry,
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: you put it on your page. This is for life,
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: so let's do it. make all the housewives sign this
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: book at BravoCon.
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: So fun. And then, um, I know there's a chance
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: you'll be coming to my show at the, the November
- 1:19:00Speaker 2: 4th on Saturday.
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: That is going to be a live juice scoop.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: Um, I can't wait for that. Check it out. I'm
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: so excited.
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: I love the Juicy Scoop idea because we were talking
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: earlier about how draining BravoCon is. And isn't it going
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: to be so nice on Saturday after we're done with
- 1:19:16Speaker 3: our whole day of panels and whatever to go sit
- 1:19:18Speaker 3: and just laugh at Juicy Scoop?
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: At the Venetian. I love that idea. At the Venetian,
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: which is iconic. Look at the spear.
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: Amazing.
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: Go on the gondola.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Have the yummy food.
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: So I think I'm going to do that Saturday night.
- 1:19:27Speaker 3: And then I'll be there. And I'm at Captain Lee's show.
- 1:19:29Speaker 3: Captain Lee is doing a one-man show at the Westgate
- 1:19:32Speaker 3: owned by Queen of Versailles.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: You know that hotel.
- 1:19:34Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: Oh, I know her.
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: Jackie will be there.
- 1:19:37Speaker 2: Oh, I just wrote her. I'm like, are you coming?
- 1:19:38Speaker 3: She's coming because the Captain Lee show.
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: Maybe she can come to the Juicy Scoop show too.
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: Let's get her there. So she'll be there. Yeah, I
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: love her. She's so sweet.
- 1:19:45Speaker 3: We've invited a few other Bravo Labs to come to
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: Captain Lee's show. Like I know Carl's coming. So if
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: you want to get the scoop, just approach him.
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: He won't mind.
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: Make him sign the book. Tell him that Thea and
- 1:19:54Speaker 3: Heather McDonald said he needs to.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: Tell you everything about. And now he's single. Yeah. Oh,
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: he is single. That's right.
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: So come to Captain Lee's show at the Westgate on
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: Thursday night. And then there's a meet and greet. And
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: the show, I wrote it. It's amazing. He does games
- 1:20:08Speaker 3: with the audience. We're all about the games and the
- 1:20:10Speaker 3: calling out stuff. And he'll do like his one-liners to
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: you if you tell him something. I love the show.
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: We put it on at the Hard Rock in Florida
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: and it came out amazing. People were just, it was great.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: It was sold out.
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: So you got Captain Lee show, you got BravoCon, you're
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: making everybody sit down and sign this. I don't care
- 1:20:25Speaker 3: how long it takes.
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: Approach them in the hallways. They love that.
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: I approached Heather at BravoCon last year and she was like,
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: I'm going, I'm on my way somewhere. And I'm like,
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: but it's Thea from Your Moms Are.
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: You know what?
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: You're like down the hall. Okay, so here's the thing
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: that what made it hard is because when I was there,
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: I really got to a place where I hadn't eaten
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: for like six hours. That's what I mean.
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: And I and I have fainted on stage before.
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: So I'm like I was like and I'm you know,
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: I love that people recognize me. But I'm like the
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: stars that go in the golf cart behind and they're
- 1:21:00Speaker 2: they're protected and everything. And so they can have their
- 1:21:02Speaker 2: little bit of a down time. That's what Captain Lee does.
- 1:21:05Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: And then but like people are asking for photos, which
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: I absolutely love. But then when you say no, then
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: people are like, she was rude. She was rude. And
- 1:21:13Speaker 2: I'm like, well, I was trying to go to, I
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: was trying to get to the next thing, just like
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: everybody else. So that's why I'm like, listen, I'm just
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: going to have my own thing in Las Vegas.
- 1:21:24Speaker 4: Come to me.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: Take the pictures of me. But that's why this book
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: is getting signed. It's all good and then go to
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: the Bravo things and see your proper people at their
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: panels and all that other stuff.
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: But that is why it's going to be so annoying
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: when they try to get people to... When Luann with
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: her crew is walking through and someone goes.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: Can you sign my... Darling, just come to the cabaret.
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: They're going to love it. They're going to love it.
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: But guess what? It'll be so good for me because
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: they'll see the book and they will hate the book.
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: But then, you know, no publicity is bad publicity. I'm
- 1:21:51Speaker 3: into it.
- 1:21:51Speaker 2: It's all good. Thank you for coming.
- 1:21:53Speaker 3: Thank you so much for having me. I loved it.
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: Get the book. It is fun. I can't wait. Thank you.
- 1:21:59Speaker 2: Your camera's there, too. Sorry. No one told me.
- 1:22:06Speaker 6: Christmas shopping has already started in our house. My daughter
- 1:22:09Speaker 6: is so organised, already planning Christmas gifts from Macaulay. Hair
- 1:22:14Speaker 6: care for her aunt and a fab fragrance for her bestie.
- 1:22:16Speaker 6: But the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I'm
- 1:22:19Speaker 6: an early bird, buying one present a week from now
- 1:22:21Speaker 6: till Christmas, which makes budgeting less stressful. I can buy
- 1:22:24Speaker 6: in-store or online from Macaulay.ie for home delivery or free
- 1:22:28Speaker 6: click and collect.
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: So easy.
- 1:22:31Speaker 6: Gifts they'll cherish at prices you'll love.
