Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eyes are good, your whole body also is full of light. But when they are bad, your body is full of darkness. — Luke 11:34
Spiritual sight comes only by God's sovereign action; no human effort can produce it. The light God commands into the heart becomes a transforming power, so the Christian life increasingly mirrors the brightness that first pierced their darkness.
