Ohio Deputy Shooting Leaves Man Dead | Dayton News
In a tense standoff in Seneca County, Ohio, deputies cornered 43-year-old Jeffrey Sergent, wanted on felony domestic violence charges. Refusing to exit his truck and wielding knives, Sergent reversed and charged forward as officers surrounded him. In response, deputies fired into the vehicle, fatally striking Sergent — who later showed no pulse — while his truck clipped a cruiser. One officer suffered a hand injury from shattered glass.
