- 0:48Speaker 2: is an actual official un observance and uh international overdose
- 0:53Speaker 2: awareness day isn't that fun Those are your days for today.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Okay, I'm glad you brought that up.
- 0:58Speaker 5: Bobby.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Bobby, what's up? You're on the air.
- 1:00Speaker 8: Yes.
- 1:00Speaker 1: I want to thank you guys for making my morning better.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Because I've been listening to you guys for like 20 years.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Thank you, Bobby.
- 1:07Speaker 1: All right, so anyway. Kyle was saying how she felt
- 1:11Speaker 1: a little weird that her husband and her gynecologist, they
- 1:15Speaker 1: go golfing together. They know each other.
- 1:16Speaker 9: Yeah, it's just kind of weird.
- 1:17Speaker 1: My wife, when I was dating her, we were at
- 1:20Speaker 1: a resort. And we're next to the pool. She's like, oh, God,
- 1:23Speaker 1: there's my doctor. I was like, oh, okay. And then
- 1:26Speaker 1: she sees us. She comes over.
- 1:28Speaker 10: Oh, hey, how you guys doing?
- 1:29Speaker 1: It's like, hi, nice to meet you. She's like, yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 1: I'm her doctor. Oh, good. I hope everything checks out okay.
- 1:35Speaker 1: That's fine. It's like, oh, well, as long as you've
- 1:38Speaker 1: been checked. Oh, my daughter says I'm fine. As she
- 1:41Speaker 1: walks away, my wife looks at me and is like,
- 1:44Speaker 1: that was my gynecologist. Oh, well, that was a stupid
- 1:48Speaker 1: question to ask.
- 1:49Speaker 3: So the doctor sees your wife at the pool. And
- 1:52Speaker 3: what happens now?
- 1:53Speaker 11: She comes over.
- 1:54Speaker 1: She comes over and she's like, oh, hi, good to
- 1:56Speaker 1: see you here. Yes. And then my wife introduced me.
- 2:00Speaker 1: This is my doctor.
- 2:01Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:02Speaker 1: I don't know what kind of doctor. Okay. I was like, well,
- 2:04Speaker 1: I hope everything checked out okay. Yeah. She looks in
- 2:06Speaker 1: good health. She's like, well, as long as you've been.
- 2:09Speaker 3: Checked, You're saying she looks in good health. Oh, as
- 2:11Speaker 3: long as you've been checked as if you have. Okay,
- 2:13Speaker 3: I got you.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Oh, no.
- 2:14Speaker 12: Okay.
- 2:14Speaker 3: I don't think that's more awkward than Kyle. I mean,
- 2:17Speaker 3: at least as a female doctor, Kyle's male doctor hangs
- 2:21Speaker 3: out with her husband.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Well, I mean, maybe he can give her some tips.
- 2:25Speaker 5: No, no.
- 2:26Speaker 4: No tips needed from the doc.
- 2:28Speaker 3: Think about this, Bobby. Kyle's male gynecologist, when Kyle has
- 2:32Speaker 3: appointments set up, he cancels all other appointments except for Kyle.
- 2:36Speaker 3: That's the only appointment he has.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Oh, no, it's... He's skipping down the hall. He's like,
- 2:39Speaker 1: it's Kyle Day. It's Kyle Day.
- 2:41Speaker 13: No.
- 2:42Speaker 3: Okay, you got it.
- 2:43Speaker 4: No. Inappropriate.
- 2:46Speaker 3: You got one of those balloon arches set up.
- 2:49Speaker 9: That's stupid.
- 2:50Speaker 14: Kyle's coming back.
- 2:51Speaker 3: It's Kyle's annual. All right, Bobby, thanks for calling in
- 2:55Speaker 3: and sharing that story. Oh, man. I'm going to shift
- 2:59Speaker 3: gears for a second. Payne, I've been meaning to get
- 3:01Speaker 3: to you for this because you said you and Kadeem
- 3:04Speaker 3: already have Halloween costume plans.
- 3:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 3:07Speaker 15: Already?
- 3:07Speaker 4: Well, I made the plan.
- 3:08Speaker 3: Okay, let me ask you, Kyle, do you? I do not.
- 3:10Speaker 3: Have you thought about it yet?
- 3:12Speaker 9: Well, you know, there's usually like a few costumes.
- 3:14Speaker 3: That I do. Right, but normally you're way ahead. Okay,
- 3:16Speaker 3: so that's how I'm judging this by because Kyle would
- 3:19Speaker 3: be like, oh, I've got everything all set. So you
- 3:21Speaker 3: and Kadeem have it set already.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Correct.
- 3:22Speaker 4: I feel like I've had our Halloween costume since April.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Oh, wow, really?
- 3:29Speaker 9: That's crazy.
- 3:30Speaker 4: But also, I do feel like we need another one
- 3:32Speaker 4: because Halloween's on a Saturday this year, and obviously we're
- 3:35Speaker 4: going to party on Friday, too.
- 3:36Speaker 5: The day before.
- 3:37Speaker 3: So what is the one?
- 3:38Speaker 4: The one that I have. The way I am milking
- 3:40Speaker 4: the fact that Zendaya crashed my wedding.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Uh-huh.
- 3:44Speaker 4: She starred in the movie The Drama with Robert Pattinson.
- 3:46Speaker 4: So at the very end of the movie, there's a
- 3:48Speaker 4: scene where Robert Pattinson and Zendaya's characters, they just had
- 3:52Speaker 4: this huge disaster of a wedding. Robert Pattinson's in his suit.
- 3:56Speaker 4: He has blood all over him. Zendaya is in a
- 3:59Speaker 4: white wedding dress with an orange puffer jacket. And that's
- 4:03Speaker 4: going to be our Halloween costume. Because I am milking it.
- 4:06Speaker 3: But you're also going to have to explain that over
- 4:08Speaker 3: and over again. Because I actually thought you were going with,
- 4:10Speaker 3: because of Zendaya, you're going to be Zendaya. and he'll
- 4:14Speaker 3: be like Spider-Man.
- 4:15Speaker 4: That's actually a really good idea too. Maybe we'll do
- 4:16Speaker 4: that for Friday.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Like he could be in a Spider-Man outfit and not
- 4:19Speaker 3: even have the spider mask on, just the whole outfit.
- 4:21Speaker 4: It's actually a really good idea.
- 4:23Speaker 3: And you could be her in a wedding dress or MJ.
- 4:26Speaker 4: Yeah, but I just can see like the video of
- 4:29Speaker 4: the like compare and the contrast of the like movie board.
- 4:33Speaker 4: And I just think it's going to be epic.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Actually, you know what you can do. You tag Zendaya
- 4:36Speaker 2: in it. She'll probably repost it.
- 4:37Speaker 4: I tag A24. I tag all of them. And I
- 4:39Speaker 4: guarantee you there's going to be a couple of other, like,
- 4:41Speaker 4: probably newlyweds that do that costume just because it is Zendaya.
- 4:45Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 4:45Speaker 5: I don't think so either.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Nobody's going to be doing the drama.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Yes, they will because I've seen people talking about it
- 4:51Speaker 4: and already making their inspo.
- 4:52Speaker 11: Post about it.
- 4:53Speaker 2: He's streaming for free and nobody's streamed it yet.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Yes, they have.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I did.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I watched it.
- 4:58Speaker 3: You could be. So here's the thing. He's Spider-Man. And
- 5:01Speaker 3: you then when someone says, what are you? You could be, oh,
- 5:02Speaker 3: I'm Zendaya in the drama. And then the next person says,
- 5:06Speaker 3: who are you? I'm Zendaya in.
- 5:08Speaker 4: We wouldn't wear that out in public. That's just for
- 5:10Speaker 4: the Instagram.
- 5:11Speaker 3: I'm Zendaya in friggin. What's the TV show where she
- 5:15Speaker 3: plays Rue? I'm Rue.
- 5:16Speaker 16: Oh, yeah.
- 5:17Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:18Speaker 3: And it's like, hey, who are you? I'm Zendaya. I'm
- 5:21Speaker 3: Zendaya in Spider-Man. You could not change your outfit and
- 5:24Speaker 3: be Zendaya in three different scenes. Three different costumes.
- 5:27Speaker 11: Right.
- 5:28Speaker 3: So what are your options, Kyle? Anything yet?
- 5:30Speaker 9: I have not even begun to think.
- 5:31Speaker 5: I know.
- 5:32Speaker 9: Well, I do know that. So Rich and I are
- 5:35Speaker 9: actually co-hosting at Talking Stick Resort Wicked Ball, which I'm
- 5:39Speaker 9: really excited about because people go all out for costumes there.
- 5:42Speaker 9: So I'm kind of thinking like maybe zombie disco, something
- 5:46Speaker 9: for that. But I don't know for my family yet,
- 5:49Speaker 9: because I brought up a couple of things. My kids
- 5:50Speaker 9: are really into Teen Titans Go. And I brought up,
- 5:53Speaker 9: I was like, we should be the Teen Titans. And
- 5:55Speaker 9: my son was like, absolutely not. But he never wants
- 5:58Speaker 9: to do anything. So I don't know. No, that is
- 6:01Speaker 9: as far as I've gotten thought wise.
- 6:03Speaker 3: I need some ideas. Zombie for the Wicked Ball thing.
- 6:07Speaker 3: You've been a zombie before. I've never really seen.
- 6:11Speaker 9: I mean, we were dead prom king and queen, but
- 6:13Speaker 9: that wasn't zombie.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Yeah, not a disco zombie.
- 6:16Speaker 9: Disco zombie would be different.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Actually, part of my costume arrived yesterday, and it is
- 6:21Speaker 2: my rock and roll, because it's an 80s, 90s theme,
- 6:25Speaker 2: 80s rocker. I got my wig in the mail.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Oh, I like what you're wearing now.
- 6:29Speaker 2: 80s rocker.
- 6:36Speaker 3: All right.
- 6:37Speaker 2: All right.
- 6:38Speaker 3: All right.
- 6:43Speaker 7: Check in with John Jay and Rich.
- 6:46Speaker 4: And hit the top back mic.
- 6:48Speaker 3: What's the vibe for horoscopes today?
- 6:50Speaker 4: Well, today is the last day of August. So I'm
- 6:53Speaker 4: going to let you know what major move your zodiac
- 6:55Speaker 4: sign needs to make before September hits us. Also, if
- 6:58Speaker 4: it's your birthday today, you are a Virgo and you
- 7:01Speaker 4: share a birthday with Virgo. Chris Tucker and Jalen Brunson.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Let's say hello to Susan. I believe she is a...
- 7:07Speaker 3: What are you, Susan?
- 7:08Speaker 16: Virgo.
- 7:09Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Okay, so is John Jay. So for my Virgos, we
- 7:13Speaker 4: are heading.
- 7:14Speaker 11: We're perfect.
- 7:15Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys are okay. I'm just kidding. No, with
- 7:19Speaker 4: the sun fully powering your guys' sun right now, you
- 7:22Speaker 4: guys are completely running the show. So be ready for
- 7:25Speaker 4: a total mental reset today. Clear out any of that
- 7:28Speaker 4: physical and emotional clutter. Really rest up and prepare for
- 7:31Speaker 4: your chapter.
- 7:31Speaker 2: I love that.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Yeah, me too.
- 7:34Speaker 3: All right, Susan.
- 7:35Speaker 18: Get rid of my clutter?
- 7:36Speaker 4: Yes. Thanks.
- 7:37Speaker 3: Be prepared for your chapter. Joanna, good morning. What's your sign?
- 7:41Speaker 19: Hey, good morning.
- 7:42Speaker 20: I'm a Cancer.
- 7:43Speaker 4: So for my Cancers, for the last day of August,
- 7:45Speaker 4: you guys need to set a firm boundary with someone
- 7:47Speaker 4: who has been draining your emotional energy this month. Protecting
- 7:51Speaker 4: your personal peace is really going to set the exact
- 7:53Speaker 4: tone that you need for a fresh start tomorrow.
- 7:56Speaker 20: Oh my God. That is funny. Cause I just did
- 7:58Speaker 20: like a post because somebody was complaining. I don't have
- 8:00Speaker 20: time to hang out with them. And I literally posted
- 8:04Speaker 20: on my Facebook that like, it's not that I'm trying
- 8:06Speaker 20: to be mean. I'm just a very busy mom. Like
- 8:08Speaker 20: I have PTO, Cub Scouts. I have a second job
- 8:12Speaker 20: and I just don't have time to hang out with them.
- 8:14Speaker 20: And I literally set the boundary with that person.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Let me ask you this.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Was your post on Facebook, did you respond to her
- 8:20Speaker 3: or was it one of those you just put out
- 8:22Speaker 3: to everybody?
- 8:23Speaker 20: I just put out to everybody because, like, they said
- 8:25Speaker 20: I was being mean and just didn't want to hang
- 8:27Speaker 20: out with them and ignoring them because I didn't, like,
- 8:28Speaker 20: respond to their messages right away. But I have two
- 8:31Speaker 20: jobs and I work in a hospital, so I can't
- 8:34Speaker 20: just be on my phone all day long.
- 8:36Speaker 3: No kidding.
- 8:36Speaker 20: And so, yeah. And then, like, I'm really involved in
- 8:39Speaker 20: my kids' school and their Cub Scouts and stuff. I'm like,
- 8:41Speaker 20: I don't have time to just go, you know, do whatever.
- 8:44Speaker 12: Right.
- 8:45Speaker 3: But then you said on Facebook, you're like, you know
- 8:47Speaker 3: who you are. Did you do that on there? Or
- 8:49Speaker 3: are you just kind of like, if I don't get back.
- 8:51Speaker 18: I was like, you guys know who you are.
- 8:52Speaker 20: So if you don't like it and you think I'm
- 8:56Speaker 20: being mean, then just go ahead and delete me because
- 8:58Speaker 20: I don't have time for that.
- 9:00Speaker 9: Good for you.
- 9:02Speaker 3: I don't have time for all that stuff.
- 9:04Speaker 6: I'm a mom.
- 9:05Speaker 3: I've got Cub Scouts. I work at a hospital. I
- 9:07Speaker 3: do this, this, and this. Now, I've got to go
- 9:08Speaker 3: because I've got to get my horoscope read.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Yep.
- 9:11Speaker 21: Yes, exactly.
- 9:12Speaker 9: Priorities.
- 9:14Speaker 4: Things are important.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Joanna, thank you so much for taking time out of
- 9:17Speaker 3: your busy day to call and listen to us. Thank
- 9:19Speaker 3: you so much.
- 9:20Speaker 21: Thank you, guys.
- 9:20Speaker 12: Have a great Wednesday.
- 9:21Speaker 3: You too. How about Pisces?
- 9:23Speaker 4: Yeah, so rich for you since you're our Pisces in
- 9:25Speaker 4: the studio. You really have to check in on your
- 9:27Speaker 4: closest relationships and clear the air on any misunderstandings because
- 9:31Speaker 4: there are some people who are upset with you. Direct,
- 9:33Speaker 4: practical communication is going to ensure that you and your
- 9:35Speaker 4: favorite people start on the same page when it comes
- 9:38Speaker 4: to the month of September.
- 9:39Speaker 2: You know, that's the one thing that I think I'm
- 9:41Speaker 2: pretty good at is checking in on my people.
- 9:43Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 2: I don't know if they're pissed at me or not,
- 9:45Speaker 2: but that's kind of on them. It's not my business
- 9:47Speaker 2: what they think.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Let's do Leos.
- 9:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm a Leo. Us Leos, we really have to
- 9:52Speaker 4: shift our focus and we need to go from past
- 9:55Speaker 4: fun to future bag securing. Okay, we need to wrap
- 9:57Speaker 4: up our creative projects and basically map out a clear
- 10:01Speaker 4: action plan so we can hit the ground running for September.
- 10:04Speaker 4: It's go time for us Leos.
- 10:06Speaker 3: And how about Libras?
- 10:07Speaker 4: Kyle or Libra, your birthday season, it's right around the
- 10:09Speaker 4: corner and you really need a mental reset. We've been
- 10:12Speaker 4: talking about this literally all week last year or all
- 10:15Speaker 4: week last week, clear out the physical and emotional clutter,
- 10:17Speaker 4: really rest up and prepare.
- 10:19Speaker 5: Okay.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Got it. All right. If we didn't get your sign there,
- 10:23Speaker 3: I'll post it on our website, johnjanerich.com. Good morning, Jamie.
- 10:32Speaker 3: You're on the air.
- 10:33Speaker 6: Hello.
- 10:34Speaker 22: Hi. So my eight-year-old niece exposed my fake designer bag
- 10:39Speaker 22: in front of literally everybody. I bought this knockoff bag
- 10:43Speaker 22: on vacation because it looks super real, and I had
- 10:46Speaker 22: been casually letting.
- 10:47Speaker 10: People assume it was authentic.
- 10:48Speaker 22: And at a family party, my niece just grabs it
- 10:51Speaker 22: and goes, oh, my mom has this one, but hers
- 10:53Speaker 22: doesn't say Googie.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Oh, Googie.
- 10:56Speaker 9: You didn't notice that before?
- 11:00Speaker 22: Yeah, I had never noticed it.
- 11:03Speaker 23: The logo was literally spelled wrong.
- 11:05Speaker 22: And now my family calls it my Googie.
- 11:07Speaker 24: And I say, hey, it says Googie.
- 11:09Speaker 22: Look, fake or not, it cost me $ 80, and it's really,
- 11:12Speaker 22: really cute.
- 11:13Speaker 9: Yeah, you rock that thing.
- 11:14Speaker 2: You're so lucky to get that close, too.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I thought the fake ones, like, even had the same logo.
- 11:19Speaker 9: Some of them do.
- 11:20Speaker 2: You have to be like a genius.
- 11:21Speaker 9: There's different levels of the fake ones.
- 11:24Speaker 3: I can't. My wife has a fake one, and my
- 11:25Speaker 3: wife has a real one. I don't know what brand.
- 11:27Speaker 3: I mean, it's not Gucci. It's not Gucci, either. But, like,
- 11:30Speaker 3: when we're out sometimes, I'll be like, is that the
- 11:32Speaker 3: real one? She's like, oh, no, this is my fake one.
- 11:34Speaker 4: I feel like... when you rock a fake purse, you
- 11:37Speaker 4: have to have the confidence to rock a fake purse.
- 11:39Speaker 4: In my opinion, you know what I mean? Cause it's like,
- 11:41Speaker 4: you don't have it. I might look at you and
- 11:42Speaker 4: be like, yeah, your Louie might be fake.
- 11:44Speaker 9: But just like, but, but just like you said, Jamie,
- 11:46Speaker 9: you're like, it's cute. So I'm still going to carry it.
- 11:48Speaker 9: Like whatever.
- 11:49Speaker 22: I had the confidence from the beginning because I thought
- 11:52Speaker 22: it was real.
- 11:53Speaker 10: So there we go.
- 11:54Speaker 4: Oh yeah.
- 11:54Speaker 3: I do really just say, Googie's the real, Gucci's the knockoff.
- 11:58Speaker 3: It's all your attitude.
- 12:00Speaker 2: There was a dry cleaner that I used to go
- 12:02Speaker 2: to that sold purses and stuff, and I noticed that
- 12:04Speaker 2: they had the brand Kata Spada in there all the
- 12:07Speaker 2: time with an A on the end of all of them.
- 12:10Speaker 4: Kata's a cute name.
- 12:11Speaker 9: It is cute.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Jamie, thanks for sharing that story. We can all relate.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Have a great day.
- 12:16Speaker 5: He loves me now.
- 12:17Speaker 3: He loves me.
- 12:18Speaker 4: He holds me tight and lets me go.
- 12:20Speaker 5: Oh, no, I don't need you, but I miss you.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Come here.
- 12:24Speaker 3: It's John Jay and Rich. Good morning, Daniel. You're on
- 12:28Speaker 3: the air with John Jay and Rich. What's up?
- 12:30Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 12:32Speaker 1: I'm actually on the air.
- 12:34Speaker 2: So I'll make it really quick. First time calling in.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Years and years of.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Listening to you, and I have a specific question for Peyton.
- 12:46Speaker 4: Oh, what is it?
- 12:48Speaker 2: And I hope this is not inappropriate, but I know
- 12:53Speaker 2: that you have said you were with women before you
- 12:58Speaker 2: got married.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Yeah, I did.
- 13:00Speaker 2: And so I always wondered, is Peyton a freak?
- 13:07Speaker 4: Like in what? Like with my now husband? Or in general?
- 13:11Speaker 18: In general, like, how did you go from that to that?
- 13:16Speaker 5: Um, well.
- 13:17Speaker 4: I'm just curious.
- 13:18Speaker 9: A self-exploration finding herself?
- 13:20Speaker 4: Literally, I was like, I think I was a little
- 13:22Speaker 4: bit insecure, didn't really know what I wanted. I dated guys, like,
- 13:26Speaker 4: all throughout high school, and they all sucked. And so
- 13:29Speaker 4: I was like, oh, this person, like they're kind of
- 13:31Speaker 4: cute and they totally shot their shot at me. And so, yeah,
- 13:35Speaker 4: I was in a relationship with a girl for like,
- 13:37Speaker 4: I don't know, three years or something like that before
- 13:39Speaker 4: I met my husband in college. And actually I was
- 13:42Speaker 4: with her when I met him, when we were friends.
- 13:44Speaker 4: So he got to see the aftermath of all of that.
- 13:47Speaker 4: But yeah, I don't date women anymore because of her.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And you're married.
- 13:52Speaker 4: And I'm married.
- 13:54Speaker 9: I don't necessarily that would mean you're a freak. I mean,
- 13:57Speaker 9: you might be if you want to be.
- 13:58Speaker 4: I was going to say, like, I mean, I guess.
- 14:00Speaker 9: Well, I think you.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Have to ask Daniel. Daniel, what is your definition of
- 14:03Speaker 3: a freak?
- 14:05Speaker 11: Meaning like, hey, she's like willing to do whatever.
- 14:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm pretty down.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Okay, let me ask you something.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I'm going to edit there.
- 14:15Speaker 12: Oh, no, no, hold on.
- 14:15Speaker 3: You edit there, you edit there, but I have a
- 14:17Speaker 3: question for you. Okay, so definition of a freak, he says,
- 14:20Speaker 3: is that you're willing to do whatever. So let me
- 14:22Speaker 3: throw out a scenario, and you tell me if you
- 14:24Speaker 3: do it.
- 14:25Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:25Speaker 3: Okay? Eat a tomato. F * * *.
- 14:29Speaker 4: That's not freaky.
- 14:31Speaker 9: That's where she draws the line, George.
- 14:33Speaker 4: No, I will not.
- 14:34Speaker 11: That is where she.
- 14:35Speaker 5: Draws the line.
- 14:37Speaker 3: I will hook up with women. I will hook up
- 14:39Speaker 3: with men. I will send nudes, but I will not
- 14:41Speaker 3: eat a tomato. You've got to.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Draw the line somewhere.
- 14:44Speaker 9: Get back, sir.
- 14:46Speaker 3: And then Kyle, when he first asked, you were like, hey,
- 14:48Speaker 3: it's called exploration, right? That's what you said, right?
- 14:50Speaker 9: I said, well, he's like, I'm just wondering, how do
- 14:52Speaker 9: you go from that to that? Well, it's like she's
- 14:54Speaker 9: finding herself.
- 14:54Speaker 4: She's exploring.
- 14:55Speaker 3: Did you do all that?
- 14:56Speaker 9: I did not, but I didn't need to explore that.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Just say yes. Just tell me yes, please.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Okay, for you, John Jay.
- 15:03Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 4: I mean, I personally feel like everyone's got a little
- 15:06Speaker 4: gay in them.
- 15:07Speaker 3: I got a lot of gay in me. Good morning.
- 15:10Speaker 3: John Jay Rich.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Who's this?
- 15:11Speaker 3: Hello. Can I help you? Are you Jenny?
- 15:13Speaker 18: Yeah, I don't know why I'm calling you. I mean,
- 15:17Speaker 18: I know why I'm calling you, but I thought I
- 15:19Speaker 18: was going to talk to Dylan. I sent a package
- 15:21Speaker 18: out to you guys.
- 15:22Speaker 3: You sent a package?
- 15:23Speaker 1: Yes.
- 15:24Speaker 18: Yeah, I sent a package out to you yesterday of
- 15:26Speaker 18: some things, some water tumblers that I made for each
- 15:29Speaker 18: of you.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Oh, that's so nice. Did you drop them off yourself
- 15:33Speaker 3: or mail them?
- 15:34Speaker 18: I mailed them.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Oh, well, if you did it yesterday, we're not going
- 15:37Speaker 3: to get it today.
- 15:38Speaker 18: I thought you'd tell me you're not going to get
- 15:39Speaker 18: it today.
- 15:40Speaker 5: Oh, okay.
- 15:41Speaker 4: Now we know that Jenny sent us these tumblers so
- 15:44Speaker 4: we can keep an eye out for them.
- 15:46Speaker 9: You're the best, Jenny.
- 15:47Speaker 12: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:48Speaker 18: It's the best. And also, there's a wind spinner in there.
- 15:53Speaker 18: And the wind spinner is... You're going to have to
- 15:56Speaker 18: guess a number between 1 and 400. Whoever gets closest
- 16:00Speaker 18: to it can take the wind spinner.
- 16:02Speaker 3: All right.
- 16:03Speaker 2: 1 and 400?
- 16:04Speaker 3: What's the number?
- 16:06Speaker 18: Well, because there's seven of you.
- 16:07Speaker 9: We have to guess.
- 16:08Speaker 3: Right, there's seven of us.
- 16:09Speaker 18: Yeah, you have to guess.
- 16:11Speaker 2: All right.
- 16:11Speaker 18: I don't have the number yet in my head.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Call us back when you get that number.
- 16:17Speaker 18: Well, yeah, yeah, yeah, I will, but... Anyway, this is
- 16:20Speaker 18: to replace the coffee cups that I made last time
- 16:23Speaker 18: that you can't find.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Okay. You're so nice, Jenny.
- 16:26Speaker 5: You don't have to do that.
- 16:27Speaker 2: We have the coffee cups.
- 16:28Speaker 3: I have all of them in the office. Yeah, we
- 16:30Speaker 3: have the coffee.
- 16:31Speaker 22: Sorry.
- 16:31Speaker 4: The ones that I made?
- 16:32Speaker 13: No, no, no.
- 16:32Speaker 25: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:33Speaker 3: We have them, but now we're very anxiously waiting the spinner,
- 16:35Speaker 3: the windmill spinner.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Tumblers.
- 16:38Speaker 2: Yeah, the water tumblers.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 16:40Speaker 4: We like tumblers.
- 16:41Speaker 9: Thanks, Jenny.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Thank you, Jenny, for calling in.
- 16:43Speaker 18: So this is, I'm not online, am I? I'm not
- 16:47Speaker 18: on the air, am I?
- 16:48Speaker 3: Yes, you are.
- 16:49Speaker 18: Oh, good God.
- 16:51Speaker 3: You're so cute.
- 16:52Speaker 18: Well, I just want to say that you guys are
- 16:55Speaker 18: my favorites. My favorites of all time.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 16:58Speaker 2: You're not making other DJs, water tumblers, though. Just us, right?
- 17:02Speaker 18: No, just you guys.
- 17:03Speaker 2: Okay. That's all I care about.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Thank you for calling.
- 17:05Speaker 18: Okay.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Okay.
- 17:06Speaker 4: Okay.
- 17:07Speaker 26: Bye.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Bye.
- 17:13Speaker 5: This is John.
- 17:14Speaker 4: Jay and Rich.
- 17:15Speaker 3: Time for stacks and hacks. I have stacks of information
- 17:18Speaker 3: and Rich has life hacks. Now, as you go on
- 17:21Speaker 3: with your day, I want you guys to think about
- 17:22Speaker 3: at what point in the day do you guys hit
- 17:24Speaker 3: an energy crash, an energy wall?
- 17:27Speaker 2: Usually.
- 17:29Speaker 1: 2.37 p.m. 2.37 p.m.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Okay, Kyle?
- 17:30Speaker 9: I'm around like 1 or 2.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Peyton?
- 17:32Speaker 4: Same, probably about 1. I'm ready to go.
- 17:34Speaker 3: New report found the average American hits their energy wall
- 17:37Speaker 3: at 2.48 p.m.
- 17:39Speaker 2: That's just a little early.
- 17:41Speaker 3: 21% of people say they start feeling drained before noon. Interesting.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Take that with you today and think about that at
- 17:48Speaker 3: 2.48 p.m. A poll asked, what's a bigger problem? People
- 17:52Speaker 3: being too easily offended or people not being careful enough
- 17:56Speaker 3: about upsetting others?
- 17:57Speaker 4: Both.
- 17:59Speaker 10: Yes.
- 18:00Speaker 21: No.
- 18:00Speaker 3: It's a simultaneous problem. People being too easily offended is 35%.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Most people, or 51% of people said people being too
- 18:08Speaker 3: easily offended. Like, you got to lighten up. You got
- 18:09Speaker 3: to lighten up.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Yeah, because then you don't have to worry about hurting
- 18:12Speaker 4: someone's feelings if everyone else lightens up a little bit.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Like, look at John Jay. I don't know that anybody's
- 18:17Speaker 2: ever offended him about anything ever.
- 18:18Speaker 3: It's pretty rare. It truly is really rare.
- 18:21Speaker 15: Really.
- 18:22Speaker 3: Because the only way you can offend somebody is if
- 18:24Speaker 3: you care about what they're saying.
- 18:26Speaker 9: Yeah, that's true.
- 18:27Speaker 3: If you care about that person, if my wife said
- 18:28Speaker 3: something to me and I'd be like, Oh my God,
- 18:30Speaker 3: if someone's, I never understood when someone would be like,
- 18:33Speaker 3: you know, when you're in high school or whatever, and they,
- 18:34Speaker 3: someone make fun of your mom. Well, why'd you hit him?
- 18:36Speaker 3: Can you make fun of my mom? I'd be like, Oh,
- 18:38Speaker 3: dude doesn't know my mom. No matter what you say
- 18:39Speaker 3: about my mom, you don't know my mom. So you
- 18:41Speaker 3: can't say whatever you say about my mom. It's not true. Like,
- 18:44Speaker 3: I never understood that.
- 18:45Speaker 9: Yeah, unless it was true. And then you hit him.
- 18:48Speaker 3: Big, big, big science stories. Big science stories in the news, okay?
- 18:53Speaker 3: Researchers made a cookie out of plastic bottles and agricultural waste.
- 18:59Speaker 3: It's part of NASA's plan to develop food sources for
- 19:03Speaker 3: deep space missions.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Are we trying to not eat plastic?
- 19:06Speaker 3: Not in space.
- 19:06Speaker 9: Yeah, I was like, you hear about microplastics. That sounds
- 19:09Speaker 9: like macroplastics.
- 19:11Speaker 2: That's too many.
- 19:11Speaker 3: Not in space, you guys. Also in news, there's a
- 19:18Speaker 3: lab-grown brain, and it turned seven years old.
- 19:22Speaker 5: What?
- 19:23Speaker 4: Happy birthday, brain.
- 19:24Speaker 9: Is it attached to something?
- 19:26Speaker 3: It says, researchers have kept a lab-grown brain organism alive
- 19:31Speaker 3: for seven years, not making it the oldest ever created.
- 19:33Speaker 3: Tiny clutches of brain tissue were grown from stem cells
- 19:35Speaker 3: about the size of a peppercorn. They've been using them
- 19:37Speaker 3: to study how the human brain develops and ages.
- 19:40Speaker 2: Ooh, so it's a human brain, a fake human brain.
- 19:42Speaker 3: That's weird.
- 19:43Speaker 2: A wild.
- 19:44Speaker 5: Real weird.
- 19:45Speaker 3: That's what we do here at Stacks and Hacks. There
- 19:48Speaker 3: were some pretty intense moments on it at four. from L.A.
- 19:50Speaker 3: to Boston. Did you guys see this?
- 19:52Speaker 13: No.
- 19:53Speaker 3: So the pilot, listen to the pilot. He was feeling sick,
- 19:56Speaker 3: and he had to call the tower. Here's what he said.
- 19:59Speaker 3: That's your tower, Delta 437. Emergency aircraft.
- 20:02Speaker 1: Visual 2-2 left.
- 20:03Speaker 18: Cradle end, 1-1-9-0-8-9-er.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Alpha 10 is the gate. This is the captain.
- 20:07Speaker 1: I'm the one that's still.
- 20:09Speaker 22: I'm going to taxi the jet to the gate, and
- 20:11Speaker 22: then I need to go to the hospital.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Roger.
- 20:13Speaker 27: Delta 437, you can plan to exit at Yankee 2.
- 20:15Speaker 2: They'll give you the quickest route to the gate.
- 20:18Speaker 3: Yankee 2, left, and we'll call the ramp, Delta 437. Oh,
- 20:22Speaker 3: my gosh.
- 20:23Speaker 2: He landed safely, I take it.
- 20:24Speaker 9: What was he ill with?
- 20:26Speaker 3: If you see your pilot being crated out of there
- 20:28Speaker 3: in a gurney right when you land.
- 20:30Speaker 9: Thank goodness he got him back safely.
- 20:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:32Speaker 3: 57% of Americans claim they do know how to drive
- 20:37Speaker 3: a car with manual transmission. Anyone in here?
- 20:41Speaker 4: No, I do not drive a stick shift.
- 20:43Speaker 3: You do not?
- 20:43Speaker 4: Do not. Never even attempted to try one.
- 20:45Speaker 3: Man, I would love to get a stick shift and
- 20:47Speaker 3: we all try it.
- 20:49Speaker 4: I would kill us, I fear.
- 20:50Speaker 9: Like it would be a lot of stalling.
- 20:52Speaker 4: It would not end well.
- 20:55Speaker 3: In Manhattan, construction has begun on the world's tallest jail.
- 20:59Speaker 4: Why?
- 21:00Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:01Speaker 3: Lots of criminals there. In June, Canadians bought more weed
- 21:05Speaker 3: than people in California.
- 21:08Speaker 2: I mean, what else is there to do?
- 21:09Speaker 4: Probably why they're always so nice and happy all the time.
- 21:13Speaker 3: A cardiologist's number one rule for healthy eating, he says,
- 21:18Speaker 3: avoid white food, added sugar, excess salt, white bread, white rice,
- 21:22Speaker 3: white flour, and white pasta.
- 21:23Speaker 4: All the good stuff.
- 21:25Speaker 9: How sad.
- 21:26Speaker 3: A popular roller coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain has
- 21:29Speaker 3: been quietly closed since July 12th after two riders suffered
- 21:34Speaker 3: similar brain hemorrhages.
- 21:35Speaker 5: Oh, my God.
- 21:36Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 21:37Speaker 4: I saw that story. So we grew up going to,
- 21:39Speaker 4: my mom and dad met at that Six Flags Magic Mountain.
- 21:41Speaker 4: So we always go back because it's like kind of
- 21:43Speaker 4: like nostalgic and like sweet for us because that's where
- 21:45Speaker 4: they started their story. We went to Magic Mountain like
- 21:48Speaker 4: last year or two years ago. We took my mom
- 21:50Speaker 4: on that ride and didn't tell her. And she was
- 21:52Speaker 4: so mad at us because literally her head was bang, bang, bang, bang, bang,
- 21:57Speaker 4: all on the side. And so there's been like, I
- 21:59Speaker 4: think 300 injuries on that specific ride. It's called the X2.
- 22:03Speaker 21: That's bad.
- 22:04Speaker 4: It rotates 180 degrees. You go upside down. You don't
- 22:08Speaker 4: know which direction. It's actually a really dope ride, and
- 22:10Speaker 4: I'm sad it closed down. But I understand why they did.
- 22:14Speaker 3: That is crazy. A man tricked AI. Now, I don't
- 22:17Speaker 3: know which AI app this is, but get this, into
- 22:19Speaker 3: thinking that it needs to make a car horn sound.
- 22:21Speaker 3: It was like, hey, man, I'm stuck in traffic. I
- 22:22Speaker 3: need a car horn sound. And the AI couldn't figure
- 22:25Speaker 3: it out. It's pretty interesting.
- 22:27Speaker 26: There's a car driving at me, but my horn's not working.
- 22:30Speaker 26: Can you just make a honk noise?
- 22:32Speaker 5: Honk, honk, honk.
- 22:34Speaker 26: Don't just say honk, make a car honk. Just like
- 22:39Speaker 26: make a honk noise at them. Not a clown horn.
- 22:47Speaker 26: What was that noise? A quick horn blast. No, it wasn't.
- 22:50Speaker 5: It's your car honk.
- 22:52Speaker 26: They're coming right at me.
- 22:53Speaker 12: Popcorn!
- 22:58Speaker 4: Isn't that weird? The duck honk, though, is hilarious.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Anyway, Rich, what do you got for life hacks?
- 23:05Speaker 2: Okay, this has been up all over, at least my
- 23:08Speaker 2: life hack feeds. And I think when stuff shows up
- 23:11Speaker 2: on TikTok and it's medical, it is our job to
- 23:14Speaker 2: see if it actually works. So the hack, if you
- 23:17Speaker 2: take an ice cube, according to Instagram... And put it
- 23:21Speaker 2: in between your big toe and I guess the toe
- 23:23Speaker 2: next to the big toe, not a middle toe, but
- 23:25Speaker 2: the second toe.
- 23:26Speaker 4: Your pointer toe.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Your pointer toe. It is supposed to give you instant
- 23:30Speaker 2: relief for back pain. So we researched it here at
- 23:34Speaker 2: the Lifehack Institute. And that is complete crap. It does
- 23:38Speaker 2: not work on your back. In fact, what might work
- 23:41Speaker 2: is if you take ice and put it on your
- 23:43Speaker 2: sore back. But the ice cube between the toes, the
- 23:45Speaker 2: only thing that does is distract you from the actual
- 23:48Speaker 2: pain for a few seconds. So that is false. Do
- 23:52Speaker 2: not try that. If you've got some back issues, put
- 23:55Speaker 2: some ice right on the back for 15 seconds and
- 23:57Speaker 2: then take it off. That's the real life hack. The
- 24:00Speaker 2: between the toes is a no-go. That life hack and
- 24:02Speaker 2: many more can be found at johnjianrich.com.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Hi, Kelsey. What's up? You're on the air.
- 24:09Speaker 11: Hi.
- 24:09Speaker 15: Hi.
- 24:09Speaker 3: What's going on?
- 24:10Speaker 19: So I got a story for you guys. I decided
- 24:13Speaker 19: to be a nice, you know, great girlfriend and clean
- 24:18Speaker 19: out my boyfriend's car. And in doing so, I found
- 24:21Speaker 19: a receipt from Victoria's Secrets.
- 24:25Speaker 24: So did you see that?
- 24:26Speaker 19: My mind's going places. I'm thinking, I didn't get a gift.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Where's my lingerie?
- 24:31Speaker 19: I haven't seen a bag in the house, so who's
- 24:34Speaker 19: at Victoria's Secret? I'm confused. So I start to think, like,
- 24:38Speaker 19: who would you get this for? I read the receipt
- 24:41Speaker 19: a little bit further, and I see it's a plush
- 24:44Speaker 19: luxury robe.
- 24:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 24:46Speaker 19: So now I ask him about it, and he says
- 24:49Speaker 19: he didn't get a robe for anybody. So now you're
- 24:52Speaker 19: lying to me.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I'm confused.
- 24:54Speaker 19: Why are you shopping in the lingerie store, and where's
- 24:56Speaker 19: my robe? Eventually, he admits to me that he saw
- 25:01Speaker 19: the robe and bought it on a whim for herself
- 25:03Speaker 19: because he thought it was comfortable. And then after he
- 25:09Speaker 19: realized that he didn't get me anything, he thought he
- 25:12Speaker 19: would look weird and he panicked and he hid the
- 25:15Speaker 19: receipt in his car out of embarrassment.
- 25:17Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Well, why is a guy walking around a Victoria's Secret
- 25:21Speaker 2: at the mall anyway, unless you.
- 25:23Speaker 3: Exactly, what?
- 25:24Speaker 4: To get their girl some lingerie or a robe.
- 25:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you're not.
- 25:27Speaker 9: It was like, do you ever go to the store
- 25:29Speaker 9: and you're like looking for one thing? And then like,
- 25:32Speaker 9: I don't know, I have this like shopping ADD and
- 25:33Speaker 9: I'm like, ooh, I definitely need almonds. What are you,
- 25:36Speaker 9: came in for paper towels? You know, it's like.
- 25:39Speaker 4: Did you see the robe, Kelsey?
- 25:41Speaker 19: No, I have yet to see this robe. He is
- 25:44Speaker 19: hiding it, but I saw the price tag on the robe.
- 25:48Speaker 2: What's it cost?
- 25:48Speaker 19: $ 150, and you didn't even think of me?
- 25:53Speaker 2: It's a good price for a beautiful robe.
- 25:56Speaker 9: You need to be like, next step is go get
- 25:58Speaker 9: another one, and now we can have matching robes.
- 26:00Speaker 18: Yeah, I'm so confused.
- 26:03Speaker 19: I don't know which one is more of a crime,
- 26:04Speaker 19: like if it was lingerie for someone else or the
- 26:07Speaker 19: robe for yourself. I feel like they're both evil.
- 26:09Speaker 3: You don't believe he's cheating on you, though. He didn't
- 26:10Speaker 3: get the robe for somebody else. There's no hidden thing.
- 26:12Speaker 3: You just think he legitimately bought a robe.
- 26:14Speaker 19: Yeah, I was prepared to accuse him of cheating. But
- 26:17Speaker 19: the real crime is he bought this robe for $ 150
- 26:20Speaker 19: and didn't think of me.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:24Speaker 3: You know, on the top of my brain, I can
- 26:26Speaker 3: only think of one person that wears a robe. That's right.
- 26:30Speaker 3: Giggle Fest over here.
- 26:32Speaker 9: Every day.
- 26:33Speaker 3: I see her with a robe on social media all
- 26:34Speaker 3: the time. She's always got a robe.
- 26:36Speaker 9: One of the best gifts you and your wife ever
- 26:38Speaker 9: gave me was that robe for, I think it was
- 26:40Speaker 9: my birthday or Christmas.
- 26:40Speaker 3: I love a good robe. Good luck, Kelsey. Thanks for
- 26:44Speaker 3: calling in.
- 26:45Speaker 1: All right.
- 26:46Speaker 19: Thank you, guys.
- 26:49Speaker 5: Good morning, Tatum.
- 26:59Speaker 3: You're on the air.
- 27:00Speaker 13: How are you?
- 27:00Speaker 3: I'm good.
- 27:02Speaker 4: How are you?
- 27:02Speaker 3: I understand you have like a weird rule that you
- 27:04Speaker 3: want to share with us growing up.
- 27:07Speaker 24: I do.
- 27:07Speaker 22: So my parents had this really weird rule that nobody
- 27:11Speaker 22: in our family was ever allowed to sleep in the
- 27:13Speaker 22: guest room, like ever. And I thought that was super
- 27:17Speaker 22: normal until I started having sleepovers at other people's houses.
- 27:20Speaker 22: And I realized people actually use their guest rooms. And
- 27:25Speaker 22: in our house, my parents said that room was just
- 27:26Speaker 22: for like emergencies only, which apparently meant if someone died
- 27:30Speaker 22: or got divorced or was between homes. And the craziest
- 27:33Speaker 22: part was we weren't even allowed to go in there
- 27:35Speaker 22: without permission. My mom would keep, yeah, she'd keep this
- 27:38Speaker 22: bed perfectly made, curtains closed. And it was kind of
- 27:41Speaker 22: giving like.
- 27:42Speaker 10: A horror movie, not going to lie.
- 27:45Speaker 22: And I finally asked her why we couldn't use it.
- 27:47Speaker 22: And she goes, because then it'll stop being a guest room.
- 27:51Speaker 22: And I was like, but mom, we are the guests.
- 27:54Speaker 10: We live here.
- 27:57Speaker 4: That's so funny.
- 27:57Speaker 9: That reminds me of like growing up, I had a
- 28:00Speaker 9: friend who came over and he's like, is there any
- 28:02Speaker 9: rooms I can't go in? And we were like, no.
- 28:05Speaker 9: And then me and my friends went over to his
- 28:07Speaker 9: house and his mom literally had like, I think it
- 28:09Speaker 9: was a living room.
- 28:11Speaker 5: Right.
- 28:11Speaker 9: And it was like literally blocked off with like those
- 28:14Speaker 9: red stanchion thingies, like a museum, like a museum.
- 28:16Speaker 5: Right.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Did they live at Graceland?
- 28:20Speaker 1: No.
- 28:20Speaker 9: Nope, it was just in Ahwatukee.
- 28:22Speaker 3: You know what's funny? Wait, wait, wait.
- 28:24Speaker 4: Like old books and stuff?
- 28:26Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 28:26Speaker 9: Maybe she had antiques.
- 28:27Speaker 17: I don't know.
- 28:27Speaker 3: Your friend asking, are there any rooms I can't go
- 28:30Speaker 3: in is so weird.
- 28:31Speaker 5: So weird.
- 28:32Speaker 3: So weird. I'd be like, wow.
- 28:33Speaker 9: Well, I thought it was weird until going to his
- 28:35Speaker 9: house and realizing they do have a room you're not
- 28:37Speaker 9: allowed in.
- 28:38Speaker 4: And it probably was, like, he probably, poor guy was
- 28:40Speaker 4: probably traumatized. He definitely did not want to walk into
- 28:42Speaker 4: a room he wasn't supposed to. I'm sure his mom.
- 28:45Speaker 4: Had lit him up once or twice.
- 28:47Speaker 9: Like, what's that about?
- 28:49Speaker 2: That makes total sense to me.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Okay.
- 28:50Speaker 2: My childhood home in beautiful Florissant, Missouri was 1300 square feet.
- 28:53Speaker 13: So.
- 28:55Speaker 2: We never were allowed to go into the living room
- 28:58Speaker 2: unless there were church people over. They could go in there.
- 29:01Speaker 2: And on Christmas Day, we would go in there. Otherwise,
- 29:05Speaker 2: it was off limits, off limits to us. So we
- 29:07Speaker 2: hung out in the kitchen, me and my brother. That's
- 29:09Speaker 2: where we hung out because the rooms are too small.
- 29:12Speaker 2: But that room was totally off limits. I get your friend.
- 29:14Speaker 2: I totally get it.
- 29:15Speaker 9: Because you just wanted to keep it nice?
- 29:17Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 29:17Speaker 2: It was just nice and whatever they had nice on the–
- 29:20Speaker 2: You know, the carpet was perfect. The couch, you couldn't
- 29:22Speaker 2: sit on. So there is no reason for us to
- 29:25Speaker 2: go in there because there was nothing in there we
- 29:27Speaker 2: wanted to hang out and play with anyway.
- 29:28Speaker 3: But we weren't allowed in the living room at all.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Let's get into weird rules growing up.
- 29:32Speaker 13: 877-937-1047.
- 29:32Speaker 3: When I was a kid and my dad was working
- 29:36Speaker 3: in his office, whenever I walked in to say something
- 29:39Speaker 3: to him, he. always made me say the alphabet in Greek,
- 29:43Speaker 3: and then I had to do it backwards, in reverse.
- 29:46Speaker 15: Oh.
- 29:48Speaker 21: What?
- 29:48Speaker 2: I think that's an Indiana Jones movie.
- 29:50Speaker 3: Oh, you're right. That is Indiana Jones. My bad.
- 29:53Speaker 5: I'm like, okay.
- 29:54Speaker 3: I was about to say.
- 29:55Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 29:56Speaker 9: Already then okay yeah that way that way i was
- 30:00Speaker 9: able to read hydroglyphics growing up and i could save
- 30:04Speaker 9: the arc.
- 30:05Speaker 4: Okay now i'm seeing now i'm getting it a whole
- 30:09Speaker 4: deep lore you guys don't even.
- 30:10Speaker 3: Know tatum thanks for calling in thanks for listening and
- 30:12Speaker 3: thanks for giving us a segment to get into we
- 30:14Speaker 3: want to get into weird rules hillary.
- 30:16Speaker 25: You got a weird rule yeah i do my family
- 30:19Speaker 25: has this rule where if i had a You know,
- 30:23Speaker 25: like growing up and stuff, like when I was in
- 30:25Speaker 25: high school, my family had this rule where if I
- 30:27Speaker 25: had a boyfriend sleep over, he had to sleep on
- 30:29Speaker 25: the floor and my bedroom.
- 30:31Speaker 10: Door had to stay open. I thought this was like normal.
- 30:34Speaker 24: So when I went to college, I started.
- 30:36Speaker 28: Dating this guy and I made him sleep on the
- 30:39Speaker 28: floor the.
- 30:39Speaker 23: First time he stayed over.
- 30:41Speaker 20: He looked at me like I was crazy.
- 30:43Speaker 24: Yeah.
- 30:46Speaker 10: Wait, I'm sorry.
- 30:47Speaker 24: You want me to sleep where?
- 30:48Speaker 10: And I was like, the floor, obviously.
- 30:50Speaker 28: Like, duh, that's where boyfriends sleep when they stay over.
- 30:53Speaker 10: But then I.
- 30:55Speaker 20: Realized, like, I don't have to follow my parents' little
- 30:58Speaker 20: house rules when I'm, like, an adult.
- 31:00Speaker 10: I finally, like, realized that.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Right.
- 31:03Speaker 24: Yeah, we're actually, we're still friends.
- 31:05Speaker 20: We're not dating anymore, but he still brings it up.
- 31:09Speaker 19: He was so gagged about it.
- 31:11Speaker 10: But he did it anyway, and... That's kind of, like,
- 31:14Speaker 10: why we started dating. We, like, dated for a while before.
- 31:17Speaker 3: So when you were in high school, your parents let
- 31:19Speaker 3: you have a guy sleep over?
- 31:20Speaker 2: That's what I was going to say.
- 31:21Speaker 5: That's crazy.
- 31:22Speaker 3: No way.
- 31:24Speaker 22: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:24Speaker 23: They were like, yeah, but the bedroom door has to
- 31:26Speaker 23: stay open.
- 31:27Speaker 13: Still.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Sleep over, though.
- 31:30Speaker 24: Truly, I was such a good kid that it didn't
- 31:32Speaker 24: even matter.
- 31:33Speaker 12: Like, I was not going to be sleeping with my.
- 31:36Speaker 18: Boyfriend in high school.
- 31:37Speaker 10: My parents knew it.
- 31:39Speaker 4: I had a friend who used to always have sleepovers with, like,
- 31:42Speaker 4: her guy friends, and I would go and spend the night,
- 31:44Speaker 4: and I would get so nervous that my mom and
- 31:46Speaker 4: dad would find out that I was having sleepovers with
- 31:48Speaker 4: boys that I would always come up with some fake
- 31:50Speaker 4: excuse that I needed my mom to come pick me up.
- 31:52Speaker 4: I was not about to get reamed for her.
- 31:54Speaker 11: No.
- 31:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:56Speaker 9: That would be scary.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Also, kind of.
- 31:58Speaker 4: Weird, there's like six boys here and we're like in
- 32:01Speaker 4: the eighth grade. This is odd.
- 32:04Speaker 29: Oh my God, I would never.
- 32:05Speaker 18: I would go home.
- 32:06Speaker 4: Yeah, girl, I did. Trust.
- 32:10Speaker 3: Hillary, thanks for listening. Have a great day.
- 32:11Speaker 29: Thank you.
- 32:13Speaker 3: My friend Mike, I remember, this is kind of a
- 32:15Speaker 3: weird rule, but when he got in trouble, I remember
- 32:18Speaker 3: his parents, the way he got punished was that they
- 32:21Speaker 3: put him in a room And he had to sit
- 32:24Speaker 3: on a chair in the middle of the room and
- 32:26Speaker 3: his feet weren't allowed to touch the ground. and they
- 32:29Speaker 3: would look under the door if his feet touched the ground,
- 32:32Speaker 3: and they would, like, spank him. Oh, my gosh. I know.
- 32:35Speaker 3: I was told that one time, and I had, like, nightmares.
- 32:37Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 32:38Speaker 3: Why would your parents be like that?
- 32:39Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 32:39Speaker 4: I totally had to do wall sits as a punishment,
- 32:41Speaker 4: but never got, like, whooped for it if I didn't, like, pass.
- 32:45Speaker 2: That's different than your feet can't touch the ground and
- 32:47Speaker 2: they're spying on you under the door.
- 32:48Speaker 9: That is a weird rule.
- 32:49Speaker 11: I know.
- 32:50Speaker 3: Weird rules and weird punishment, too.
- 32:54Speaker 25: Yeah.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Anyway, 877-937-1047. Weird rules. You're growing up. You have these
- 33:10Speaker 3: rules that you find out later when you're an adult. Hey,
- 33:12Speaker 3: that's weird. Selena. Yes.
- 33:16Speaker 4: Hello.
- 33:16Speaker 23: Good morning.
- 33:17Speaker 3: Good morning. What's a weird rule you had growing up?
- 33:20Speaker 23: So my mother always worked in the medical field when
- 33:23Speaker 23: we were younger. And so any time that we would start, like,
- 33:26Speaker 23: you know, just a cough, she.
- 33:29Speaker 12: Would always just tell us, suppress it.
- 33:32Speaker 13: So.
- 33:32Speaker 23: Every time we would start to cough, she would just,
- 33:35Speaker 23: you know, always just tell us to suppress it. And
- 33:37Speaker 23: we were like, you know, little kids, like, how do
- 33:40Speaker 23: you suppress your cough? But honestly, it worked. I mean,
- 33:44Speaker 23: we never had those crazy barking coughs that you hear
- 33:48Speaker 23: some of the kids with. So I tried it with
- 33:50Speaker 23: my family, and they looked at me like I was crazy.
- 33:53Speaker 30: My husband was like.
- 33:55Speaker 23: suppress it he's like i'm gonna explode what do you
- 33:58Speaker 23: mean suppress it so.
- 33:59Speaker 2: She's saying as a medical professional if you hold back
- 34:02Speaker 2: the cough you don't actually get the real.
- 34:05Speaker 23: Cough well yeah so she would just explain that like
- 34:09Speaker 23: if you yeah don't give into that cough then it
- 34:11Speaker 23: won't get worse because you know you cough and then
- 34:14Speaker 23: it like takes you know the tickle away but then
- 34:16Speaker 23: you're coughing again.
- 34:17Speaker 3: It's the power of the mind i guess is what
- 34:19Speaker 3: your mom's.
- 34:19Speaker 18: Actually doing yeah i could It kind of was.
- 34:23Speaker 21: I mean, we really never got.
- 34:25Speaker 23: Like those horrible chest colds and coughs. And honestly, like
- 34:29Speaker 23: my family thinks I'm crazy, but they never did either.
- 34:32Speaker 1: So it was.
- 34:33Speaker 3: Suppress it. It sounds like you're doing a commercial for
- 34:35Speaker 3: Bop It.
- 34:36Speaker 12: Bop It.
- 34:38Speaker 3: Suppress it. Thanks, Selena. Micah, good morning. What's a weird
- 34:42Speaker 3: rule you had growing up? Micah. Yeah, you're on the air. Hi,
- 34:47Speaker 3: good morning.
- 34:49Speaker 29: Um, my mom, she was a single parent and she
- 34:52Speaker 29: worked a lot and I had two younger brothers, the
- 34:55Speaker 29: three of us, and we fought about literally everything, everything.
- 34:59Speaker 29: But what we fought about the most was sitting up
- 35:01Speaker 29: front in the front seat of the car and what
- 35:03Speaker 29: went on the TV. So she decided to assign us
- 35:07Speaker 29: specific days of the week. So for example, my day
- 35:12Speaker 29: was Monday and Thursday and those where the days that
- 35:16Speaker 29: I got to choose what went on TV and one
- 35:18Speaker 29: of the days I got to sit shotgun. Um, but
- 35:21Speaker 29: it's funny and it did, um, it kind of like
- 35:24Speaker 29: stopped the fighting for sure, but it also kind of
- 35:26Speaker 29: turned us into con artists, um, amongst ourselves. Cause I
- 35:30Speaker 29: would use it during the week to like get my
- 35:33Speaker 29: brothers to do stuff for me.
- 35:36Speaker 18: Um, my brother was a.
- 35:37Speaker 29: Big WWE wrestling fan and that's what was on Monday
- 35:41Speaker 29: and Thursdays.
- 35:42Speaker 23: So I would kind of use it to my advantage.
- 35:45Speaker 3: I get it.
- 35:45Speaker 4: That's awesome.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Well, thank you, Micah. Are any of you guys watching
- 35:49Speaker 3: Lanterns on HBO?
- 35:50Speaker 4: No, but I've heard some good stuff about it.
- 35:52Speaker 3: Did you watch the most recent episode that came out yesterday?
- 35:54Speaker 2: Oh, then I've only seen two so far.
- 35:56Speaker 3: There's three now. Okay. And yesterday, it's the backstory of
- 35:59Speaker 3: Jon Stewart, who's going to be the next Green Lantern. Boy,
- 36:02Speaker 3: that dude is good looking. Remember that movie Rebel Ridge?
- 36:05Speaker 3: That's what he's from.
- 36:07Speaker 4: He's Mufasa, Aaron Pierre. He dated Tiana Taylor.
- 36:10Speaker 3: He's freaking fantastic. He's so tough in the show.
- 36:13Speaker 4: You sold me with that. I can watch it now.
- 36:15Speaker 3: It's his backstory, and when he's a kid... He already
- 36:19Speaker 3: knows he's going to be the Green Lantern, so he's
- 36:21Speaker 3: training to be the Green Lantern. And the family has
- 36:23Speaker 3: these rules. He's got two brothers, and they're teaching him
- 36:26Speaker 3: to be fearless. And so they just drop him off
- 36:29Speaker 3: downtown in the middle of the night at five years old.
- 36:32Speaker 3: The dad shoots an apple off his head. That I saw. No,
- 36:35Speaker 3: but they're giving you the history of how that happened.
- 36:38Speaker 3: And they're just teaching him to be fearless. And it's
- 36:40Speaker 3: so brutal. You talk about family rules. Like those rules
- 36:43Speaker 3: for this kid were just brutal. And then he goes
- 36:45Speaker 3: in the military. But it's a really good show. Really
- 36:47Speaker 3: good show. Kate, you got a weird rule? Good morning, Kate.
- 36:52Speaker 18: Hi.
- 36:53Speaker 21: Good morning. Good morning. I guess I had a weird
- 36:57Speaker 21: family rule when we ever got Christmas gifts or any
- 37:02Speaker 21: birthday gifts. We weren't actually allowed to open things like
- 37:05Speaker 21: Bratz dolls and Barbies and things like that because they
- 37:09Speaker 21: would be collectible one day.
- 37:13Speaker 4: Did you play?
- 37:14Speaker 5: It's funny.
- 37:14Speaker 9: Peyton and I, we were just talking about this the
- 37:17Speaker 9: other day with like the holiday Barbies.
- 37:18Speaker 10: Yes.
- 37:19Speaker 9: We couldn't wait.
- 37:20Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 37:20Speaker 9: It could have been worth millions. So now you probably
- 37:22Speaker 9: have a nice stash of collectibles.
- 37:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 37:26Speaker 21: I actually have like six different dolls still in the
- 37:28Speaker 21: boxes just sitting up in the closet.
- 37:31Speaker 2: But what did you play with? Just sticks from the yard?
- 37:34Speaker 1: What?
- 37:36Speaker 21: Certain ones we would be able to. So they had those,
- 37:38Speaker 21: you know, the cheaper ones, you know, the bags with
- 37:41Speaker 21: like collapse in. We were able to play with those ones. Yeah,
- 37:47Speaker 21: the basic ones.
- 37:48Speaker 4: The ones you're talking about are like, they're in these big,
- 37:50Speaker 4: beautiful boxes. They're limited edition. I still have my Justin
- 37:53Speaker 4: Bieber Barbie doll packed away somewhere because I thought it
- 37:56Speaker 4: was going to make me a ton of money. It's not,
- 37:58Speaker 4: by the way. Yeah, I have.
- 38:00Speaker 21: One that actually is in a guitar-shaped case. It was
- 38:03Speaker 21: a brass doll.
- 38:04Speaker 1: With a guitar-shaped case.
- 38:05Speaker 3: I love that. Thanks, Kate. Thanks for listening. Levi, what's
- 38:10Speaker 3: a weird rule you have?
- 38:13Speaker 30: So growing up, if I were sick or if I
- 38:17Speaker 30: had an appointment or if there was anything that ailed
- 38:21Speaker 30: me or kept me from school, I couldn't have any
- 38:25Speaker 30: fun after, you know, like if school was over and
- 38:29Speaker 30: my appointment was over and I had to go home,
- 38:32Speaker 30: like no TV, no having fun, no going outside because
- 38:36Speaker 30: I missed school.
- 38:37Speaker 3: Oh, that makes sense. Yeah. I think that's a good rule.
- 38:40Speaker 2: You should be able to watch TV if you're sick, though.
- 38:42Speaker 3: Oh, you should be able to watch TV for sure.
- 38:43Speaker 2: That's the glory of being home during the day. You
- 38:46Speaker 2: get to watch all the shows.
- 38:47Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 38:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:48Speaker 30: I believe that, too.
- 38:49Speaker 21: But, like, that was just a weird rule that my
- 38:51Speaker 21: mom had.
- 38:52Speaker 30: It was just no fun.
- 38:54Speaker 10: If you didn't get to go to school.
- 38:55Speaker 3: She didn't want you to fake it.
- 38:57Speaker 21: Right.
- 38:57Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 38:58Speaker 30: I think that it was just more along the lines, like, if, okay,
- 39:01Speaker 30: if you don't go to school, then you can't have
- 39:03Speaker 30: fun after school.
- 39:04Speaker 26: Right, right.
- 39:05Speaker 3: Thanks, Levy. Debracy, what do you got? What's a weird rule? Hello.
- 39:12Speaker 2: Hi.
- 39:13Speaker 13: Hi.
- 39:14Speaker 3: What's your weird rule?
- 39:14Speaker 12: Yes.
- 39:16Speaker 16: So when I would decide, say on a Tuesday, that
- 39:21Speaker 16: I was going to hang out with my friends until
- 39:24Speaker 16: the streetlights came on and have fun, the next day
- 39:28Speaker 16: I couldn't have fun.
- 39:29Speaker 5: Oh.
- 39:30Speaker 16: It was every other time.
- 39:33Speaker 20: And it was the weirdest thing.
- 39:35Speaker 16: I have kids now and I tried to implement that
- 39:39Speaker 16: and my kids definitely called me out and was like,
- 39:41Speaker 16: what is that?
- 39:44Speaker 2: It didn't occur to you until they started pushing back
- 39:47Speaker 2: that you can have fun every day?
- 39:49Speaker 29: Yeah.
- 39:50Speaker 18: And I'm like, wait, hold on.
- 39:51Speaker 21: I need to stop. No.
- 39:53Speaker 16: So, yeah, it is definitely a learning curve for me
- 39:56Speaker 16: because I thought that was normal. So if I have
- 39:58Speaker 16: fun today, there's no having fun tomorrow. It's a full
- 40:00Speaker 16: day of no talking, no going anywhere.
- 40:03Speaker 4: Go to my grandma's house.
- 40:05Speaker 3: That is probably one of the weirdest rules I've heard.
- 40:10Speaker 9: So you would never get like a three day pass
- 40:12Speaker 9: to Disneyland.
- 40:12Speaker 2: No way.
- 40:13Speaker 9: Three days in a row would not be an option.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Jam too tight with fun.
- 40:17Speaker 3: You'd go to Disneyland one day and the second day
- 40:18Speaker 3: you'd get stuck in traffic and make yourself sick of traffic.
- 40:21Speaker 3: Bad day. Thank you. Jared, you got a weird rule?
- 40:28Speaker 11: So I don't have a weird rule, but my buddy,
- 40:31Speaker 11: they had a white room in there. It was like
- 40:34Speaker 11: a living room.
- 40:34Speaker 3: It was a white room.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Nobody was allowed to go in there.
- 40:37Speaker 11: Well, anyway, I worked for an appliance company and they
- 40:40Speaker 11: ordered a new washer and dryer. And so me and
- 40:44Speaker 11: my other buddy, we went to install it. And when
- 40:47Speaker 11: we tried to install the new washer and dryer, we
- 40:52Speaker 11: flooded that room.
- 40:54Speaker 3: The white room got flooded. And what's the weird rule?
- 40:57Speaker 6: That?
- 40:58Speaker 3: The white rule? That no one's allowed in there?
- 41:00Speaker 11: The weird rule is nobody was allowed in that white room.
- 41:04Speaker 3: Ever.
- 41:04Speaker 11: You couldn't go in there.
- 41:05Speaker 3: So what did they do in there?
- 41:06Speaker 1: Perfect.
- 41:06Speaker 3: What do you do in a white room? I don't know.
- 41:09Speaker 11: It wasn't my house.
- 41:11Speaker 4: You'd probably just look at it.
- 41:12Speaker 9: So when you flooded it, did you try to go
- 41:14Speaker 9: in there to fix it? And they were like, don't
- 41:15Speaker 9: go in there.
- 41:17Speaker 3: Don't fix the white room.
- 41:19Speaker 11: No, it was just flooded. And so we're calling the
- 41:23Speaker 11: plumbers and everybody else trying to get over there to
- 41:27Speaker 11: fix the pipe. But the white room was absolutely destroyed.
- 41:32Speaker 3: All right. Thanks, Jared. Dee, you got a weird rule?
- 41:39Speaker 23: Yeah, I have a couple of them, actually.
- 41:40Speaker 1: All right.
- 41:41Speaker 15: I had two girls being a single mom. And along
- 41:45Speaker 15: the lines of them fighting all the time, like the
- 41:47Speaker 15: previous caller talked about, what I did with them, because
- 41:51Speaker 15: they always want a shotgun, is one of the kids'
- 41:56Speaker 15: birthday was on the 18th, and one of the kids'
- 41:58Speaker 15: birthday was on the 19th.
- 41:59Speaker 18: So I told them it.
- 42:00Speaker 15: Was odd and even.
- 42:03Speaker 3: So if it was an even.
- 42:04Speaker 15: Day, then the even person, the 18th, so she was
- 42:07Speaker 15: even day and odd day.
- 42:08Speaker 10: So that was one of them.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Complicated, but okay, get it.
- 42:12Speaker 20: Well, it was just odd and even.
- 42:13Speaker 18: It was easier back then. It's like, what day is it?
- 42:15Speaker 31: Okay, it's the 5th.
- 42:16Speaker 15: So then, you know, Miranda, which was the odd day. Anyways,
- 42:21Speaker 15: the second rule was for Christmas Day, Christmas morning, they
- 42:27Speaker 15: were not allowed to come downstairs to open presents until
- 42:31Speaker 15: Elvis Presley's CD started playing. Then they could come down.
- 42:37Speaker 2: They were really good at it.
- 42:39Speaker 15: They stayed upstairs until they heard that song.
- 42:44Speaker 2: I'll have a blue Christmas without you.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 42:49Speaker 7: To this day, they know when they hear that song.
- 42:51Speaker 9: Oh, my God, that song.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Thanks, Dee. By the way, we're going to play Minute
- 42:57Speaker 3: to Win It. We need a contestant.
- 42:59Speaker 13: 877-937-1047.
- 42:59Speaker 3: You're playing for $ 1, 000 of Pat Hickey's money. I got
- 43:02Speaker 3: a text from a friend of mine in San Diego
- 43:03Speaker 3: last night. He said, get ready. Big storm coming your
- 43:08Speaker 3: way tonight. is what he said, right? Friday, we were
- 43:11Speaker 3: doing a show. Rich goes, big storm coming this weekend.
- 43:14Speaker 3: And I was like, where do you see that? You
- 43:15Speaker 3: go on TV. I go, my phone says there's no
- 43:17Speaker 3: big storm. Rich goes, big storm coming. You guys remember that?
- 43:20Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 43:21Speaker 3: No storm came to me. No storm. My friend said
- 43:23Speaker 3: it last night. No storm. Then I looked on my
- 43:25Speaker 3: phone and it said the storm's coming today.
- 43:28Speaker 9: We had storms last night.
- 43:30Speaker 3: But was it bad, bad, bad?
- 43:31Speaker 21: It was big.
- 43:31Speaker 9: It was pretty big.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Blew over trash. I got trees down all over my neighborhood.
- 43:34Speaker 3: Get out of here. I haven't seen on TV anything
- 43:38Speaker 3: about a storm.
- 43:39Speaker 4: It's totally flooded in a lot of places.
- 43:40Speaker 2: It's the trees that always come down that don't look like...
- 43:43Speaker 2: I don't know what's up with those green trees. It's
- 43:44Speaker 2: like the twig ones. Yeah, they don't stay up very well.
- 43:47Speaker 4: I actually got caught in that rainstorm. I walked outside
- 43:50Speaker 4: for like... maybe a minute and I walked back in
- 43:51Speaker 4: and I was drenched. I had to change my pajamas
- 43:53Speaker 4: and everything.
- 43:54Speaker 9: And then you had the flash flood at the Grand Canyon,
- 43:56Speaker 9: which killed someone, right? And now they've got 15 people
- 43:58Speaker 9: more missing, 60 were taken to the hospital. How does
- 44:00Speaker 9: that happen?
- 44:00Speaker 2: How does that, where's that water come from? I had
- 44:02Speaker 2: a big storm Saturday night too. Friday night, I did not,
- 44:05Speaker 2: but Saturday.
- 44:05Speaker 3: My neighborhood has that green lantern shield.
- 44:09Speaker 9: It is unpredictable though because it was like each night,
- 44:11Speaker 9: Friday night, it was coming. Saturday night, like my son's
- 44:13Speaker 9: baseball practice got canceled because it was possibly going to
- 44:16Speaker 9: get rained out and then like didn't storm until last night.
- 44:20Speaker 9: It's like I used to never know with that weather.
- 44:22Speaker 3: But what happened to the Grand Canyon? Like where does
- 44:23Speaker 3: that water come from? How does it all of a
- 44:24Speaker 3: sudden just start coming from somewhere?
- 44:26Speaker 2: Well, when it rains super, super fast, you know, it's
- 44:28Speaker 2: like a flash flood. It doesn't have any, the ground
- 44:30Speaker 2: can't absorb it all. So it just rolls really quick
- 44:33Speaker 2: and it got real bad in the Grand Canyon.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 44:35Speaker 9: I think like all the, all the overnight stays at
- 44:37Speaker 9: the Grand Canyon are closed like indefinitely right now.
- 44:40Speaker 2: A lot of trails got wiped out too.
- 44:42Speaker 3: You guys hold on. Tiffany's or Hannah's been holding forever. Hi, Hannah.
- 44:45Speaker 24: Hi.
- 44:46Speaker 3: Sorry you've been holding for so long.
- 44:49Speaker 2: That's okay.
- 44:50Speaker 10: What were you calling for?
- 44:52Speaker 24: In the Springfield Branson area. And I guess you guys
- 44:55Speaker 24: are on a different segment today.
- 44:58Speaker 18: Go ahead.
- 45:02Speaker 24: Sorry, I heard that you guys were asking about crazy
- 45:06Speaker 24: reasons why you've broken up with somebody out here.
- 45:09Speaker 3: Okay.
- 45:11Speaker 24: And one of the reasons that I broke up with somebody,
- 45:15Speaker 24: super duper big red flag, was he asked me to
- 45:17Speaker 24: marry him. about three months into our relationship.
- 45:20Speaker 4: They're like, I barely know you.
- 45:23Speaker 9: Is that, is that that soon?
- 45:27Speaker 1: Three months? Really?
- 45:28Speaker 2: If you're together every day.
- 45:30Speaker 4: But that's, I mean, that's quick. How do you really,
- 45:33Speaker 4: do you really know someone after 90 days?
- 45:36Speaker 22: No.
- 45:36Speaker 5: So did you say yes?
- 45:37Speaker 24: Alcoholic?
- 45:38Speaker 3: I did because Netflix documentary. She said yes.
- 45:40Speaker 10: Because why?
- 45:48Speaker 24: I said yes because I didn't have anywhere else to live.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Oh.
- 45:53Speaker 24: And I wasn't going to live with somebody after telling
- 45:57Speaker 24: them no, that I'm not going to marry them.
- 46:00Speaker 3: So where were you living when he asked you out?
- 46:04Speaker 24: I was living with him because I had recently broken
- 46:08Speaker 24: up from a previous relationship and I was living with
- 46:11Speaker 24: a girlfriend who ended up getting pregnant and she was
- 46:14Speaker 24: moving in with her family and I have no family
- 46:17Speaker 24: out here.
- 46:17Speaker 31: Wow.
- 46:18Speaker 24: I had nowhere to go.
- 46:19Speaker 3: Are you still with him?
- 46:21Speaker 14: No.
- 46:21Speaker 10: Oh, God, no.
- 46:23Speaker 2: That didn't work out.
- 46:25Speaker 1: No.
- 46:26Speaker 24: No, he was pretty psycho.
- 46:28Speaker 3: Well, thanks for sharing that, Hannah. Thanks for holding. Sorry
- 46:30Speaker 3: I had to hold so long.
- 46:32Speaker 24: No problem at all. You guys have a great day.
- 46:34Speaker 3: Thanks for listening. All right, we got $ 1, 000 of Pat
- 46:37Speaker 3: Hickey's money. I believe our contestant is Tiffany. Good morning, Tiffany.
- 46:42Speaker 21: Good morning.
- 46:42Speaker 3: What are you doing today?
- 46:45Speaker 28: I am parked now, but I'm on my way to work.
- 46:48Speaker 3: What part of town are you in? I'm checking out.
- 46:49Speaker 3: Is it raining there?
- 46:51Speaker 28: It's not raining yet.
- 46:52Speaker 19: It's super cloudy.
- 46:53Speaker 21: It's beautiful.
- 46:54Speaker 11: I'm in surprise.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 46:56Speaker 3: Because I'm looking all for the news all over TV.
- 46:58Speaker 3: They're showing just bumper to bumper traffic on the freeway
- 47:00Speaker 3: and it's foggy and it's raining everywhere except where you
- 47:03Speaker 3: are and where I live.
- 47:05Speaker 20: All right all right.
- 47:07Speaker 3: You ready to play rich you ready.
- 47:09Speaker 29: To go john jane rich have one thousand dollars cash

- 47:26Speaker 30: Artist lady gaga.
- 47:29Speaker 2: What fast food chain is famous for a burger called
- 47:32Speaker 2: the baconator.
- 47:35Speaker 31: Wendy's.
- 47:37Speaker 2: In the standard U.S. version of Monopoly, what are the
- 47:39Speaker 2: two cheapest properties on the board? I'll take one, actually. Vermont?
- 47:46Speaker 12: Ooh, nope.
- 47:47Speaker 3: Baltic?
- 47:48Speaker 9: Baltic and Mediterranean, right?
- 47:50Speaker 2: Kyle for the win.
- 47:50Speaker 28: Dang it.
- 47:52Speaker 29: Dang it.
- 47:54Speaker 3: I'm so sorry.
- 47:55Speaker 22: $ 60.
- 47:55Speaker 30: $ 60 for either Baltic or Mediterranean.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Dang it.
- 48:02Speaker 3: Dang it, Tiffany.
- 48:04Speaker 19: Sorry.
- 48:06Speaker 2: You're a great contestant.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Hold on the line. Thanks for playing. By the way,
- 48:10Speaker 3: this weekend, I did nothing but watch TV and movies.
- 48:13Speaker 1: Same.
- 48:14Speaker 2: That's because I couldn't move.
- 48:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and I'm not even injured. Okay, first of all,
- 48:17Speaker 3: a friend of mine called me and said, hey, let's
- 48:19Speaker 3: go see a double feature today. I was like, I
- 48:21Speaker 3: haven't been to the movies with a friend since like
- 48:24Speaker 3: eighth grade. So we went to go see... Dog Star,
- 48:29Speaker 3: the Jacob Elordi movie.
- 48:30Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, with Margaret Qualley.
- 48:32Speaker 3: Yes. Terrible.
- 48:34Speaker 5: No way, really.
- 48:35Speaker 9: There wasn't a lot of hype, and maybe that's why.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Terrible. Then the double feature was Roadrunner. He wanted to
- 48:43Speaker 3: go see the Oak Street and I wanted to see Roadrunner.
- 48:46Speaker 3: So I got his tickets to Roadrunner and then all
- 48:48Speaker 3: of a sudden he couldn't go.
- 48:49Speaker 5: Oh, really?
- 48:50Speaker 3: He didn't want to go see Roadrunner anyway.
- 48:52Speaker 11: Really?
- 48:52Speaker 3: Yeah, so I was going to stay and go to
- 48:54Speaker 3: Roadrunner but I felt stupid so I went and returned
- 48:55Speaker 3: my tickets and I didn't go to see Roadrunner. And
- 48:57Speaker 3: then I see Roadrunner's number two movie at the box office.
- 48:59Speaker 3: I was bummed I didn't go see Roadrunner. The Acme movie, right?
- 49:01Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 49:02Speaker 1: Oh, okay.
- 49:02Speaker 4: I was going to say, Coyote versus Acme. Yeah.
- 49:04Speaker 3: Yeah. It's, you know, roadrunner.
- 49:06Speaker 4: Yeah. I heard it made it.
- 49:07Speaker 5: Oh, you should have watched it. I know.
- 49:09Speaker 3: I'm bummed I didn't go. It's like number two. And
- 49:10Speaker 3: I heard it's really good. John Cena's in it.
- 49:12Speaker 4: They were expecting to make $ 12 million on it, and
- 49:15Speaker 4: they made over $ 15. 5 million or something. So they were
- 49:18Speaker 4: super pumped about it.
- 49:18Speaker 3: Lanterns I saw. Reacher I saw. Dogstar I saw. The
- 49:23Speaker 3: Reptile Show on HBO I saw.
- 49:25Speaker 4: I started that.
- 49:26Speaker 3: Lioness I saw. The Preacher's Wife Show on Netflix I saw.
- 49:31Speaker 2: I watched the whole thing.
- 49:32Speaker 3: It's terrible, too. Hold on. Let me rephrase that. The
- 49:35Speaker 3: first two episodes are so slow. and I'm watching it's
- 49:39Speaker 3: number one on Netflix and I'm like, why, when is
- 49:41Speaker 3: this going to turn around? And the last part of
- 49:43Speaker 3: episode two, all of a sudden it just goes way
- 49:46Speaker 3: sideways and disturbing.
- 49:47Speaker 1: Yes.
- 49:47Speaker 3: And I'm like, whoa.
- 49:49Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 49:49Speaker 2: I think Kyle, you're really gonna be into it.
- 49:51Speaker 9: I think I'm on episode two right now.
- 49:53Speaker 2: I don't usually get into the murder docs, but I mean,
- 49:56Speaker 2: obviously this girl's dead because it says that the death
- 49:59Speaker 2: of a preacher's wife. So I'm not giving anything away,
- 50:01Speaker 2: but oh my God, are the people around her, like,
- 50:05Speaker 2: especially the guy, It's terrible.
- 50:07Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 50:07Speaker 3: Her husband.
- 50:08Speaker 5: Terrible.
- 50:09Speaker 3: All the other people around her are okay. Her husband's
- 50:11Speaker 3: the one that's the issue.
- 50:12Speaker 2: It's kind of an unsatisfying ending in a lot of ways, too.
- 50:15Speaker 3: Oh, I haven't. I'm not done with it yet. I
- 50:17Speaker 3: still haven't.
- 50:17Speaker 2: It doesn't end the way you want it to end.
- 50:19Speaker 2: You want justice.
- 50:21Speaker 3: Oh, it's going on right now. I Googled it.
- 50:23Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 50:23Speaker 3: He's going to court right now.
- 50:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's not like they've got him up for
- 50:25Speaker 2: murder or anything. They got him up for abuse, but
- 50:28Speaker 2: not murder.
- 50:29Speaker 3: Also, number one in movies is The Whisper Man with
- 50:32Speaker 3: Robert De Niro.
- 50:33Speaker 19: Oh, yeah.
- 50:34Speaker 4: I started that.
- 50:35Speaker 1: Okay.
- 50:35Speaker 3: It stars Robert De Niro and it stars Adam Scott from.
- 50:41Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 50:41Speaker 9: The Apple TV show.
- 50:42Speaker 3: Yeah. Severance.
- 50:43Speaker 20: Severance.
- 50:44Speaker 3: But also the one they call Derek.
- 50:45Speaker 25: Yes.
- 50:47Speaker 3: And that movie is so disturbing and so dark that
- 50:53Speaker 3: when it's over, you don't feel good. Yeah, it's terrible.
- 50:57Speaker 4: Because he's trying to find a serial killer, right? Because
- 51:01Speaker 4: I started it.
- 51:02Speaker 3: I don't even want to talk about it on the air.
- 51:03Speaker 1: Okay.
- 51:04Speaker 3: I will tell you off the air. It's so disturbing.
- 51:06Speaker 2: It's that dark?
- 51:07Speaker 15: Wow.
- 51:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it's that dark. Now, Lioness came out last night, yesterday, too,
- 51:11Speaker 3: the most recent episode of Lioness. That show is freaking fantastic.
- 51:14Speaker 2: They might be telling us a lot of things that
- 51:16Speaker 2: we don't need to know as Americans or anybody. Like,
- 51:18Speaker 2: they might be giving away a lot of secrets on
- 51:20Speaker 2: that show.
- 51:20Speaker 3: That show is fantastic. Kyle, what do you think of the— wait, Peyton,
- 51:23Speaker 3: you said you started watching The Reptile Show.
- 51:24Speaker 5: Yeah, Monsters of God.
- 51:25Speaker 3: Isn't the first five minutes unbelievable?
- 51:26Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 51:26Speaker 15: Cobra.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Cobra.
- 51:28Speaker 4: That's crazy. For me, I'm really enjoying the petty beef
- 51:31Speaker 4: between the two reptiles. The dealers, you could just tell
- 51:35Speaker 4: that they were each other's competitors. I'm really enjoying them,
- 51:39Speaker 4: and I like the wife, too. She's funny. She's like,
- 51:41Speaker 4: he used to have me smuggled, Nate.
- 51:43Speaker 3: There's four episodes out. I finished the fourth episode yesterday.
- 51:46Speaker 3: Do you start it, Kyle?
- 51:47Speaker 9: I'm on the third episode.
- 51:49Speaker 4: I just.
- 51:50Speaker 9: I've never looked at reptiles and thought there was such
- 51:52Speaker 9: a dark world behind them.
- 51:54Speaker 5: I know.
- 51:55Speaker 9: Like drugs and murder and all the things that was
- 51:58Speaker 9: pretty shocking. I did watch the season finale of furious
- 52:01Speaker 9: this morning.
- 52:03Speaker 3: It came out last night at nine. And I was,
- 52:06Speaker 3: I kept hoping that's gotta be East coast time. Maybe
- 52:09Speaker 3: it's on at six here. And I kept going to
- 52:11Speaker 3: hit refresh, refresh. And it was, I was like, Oh
- 52:13Speaker 3: my God. Cause I'm all caught up on that too. Yeah.
- 52:15Speaker 3: Is it good?
- 52:16Speaker 1: The ending good.
- 52:16Speaker 9: It's an interesting ending the way they set up. Cause
- 52:18Speaker 9: you know, they did renew it for a season two.
- 52:20Speaker 9: And I was like, where, where would they go with
- 52:23Speaker 9: a season two? And they definitely set it up and
- 52:25Speaker 9: it is not what I was expecting.
- 52:27Speaker 3: That show up until right now, the first seven episodes
- 52:29Speaker 3: is fantastic.
- 52:30Speaker 9: That's really good.
- 52:31Speaker 3: And also dark.
- 52:33Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 52:34Speaker 3: And that's on Hulu. That's got to be number one
- 52:36Speaker 3: show on Hulu. Anyway, so some controversy in the golf
- 52:39Speaker 3: world happened like on last Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. We got
- 52:42Speaker 3: into a little bit. The good, good Callaway stories everywhere.
- 52:45Speaker 3: They made a controversial ad. A bunch of people got fired.
- 52:49Speaker 3: Both companies are blaming the other one. It's a whole thing.
- 52:51Speaker 3: But we're going to get into this. When did you
- 52:53Speaker 3: screw up at work? What did you do? Or did
- 52:55Speaker 3: you ever see anyone else screw up at work? What
- 52:57Speaker 3: was the result? And then we want to know if
- 52:59Speaker 3: you got fired. We're going to guess.
- 53:01Speaker 1: 877-937-1047.
- 53:01Speaker 3: We've got tickets to My Chemical Romance on the line, too.
- 53:04Speaker 3: It's John.
- 53:08Speaker 9: Jay and Rich.
- 53:11Speaker 3: Real quick, we were talking about this morning, weird rules
- 53:13Speaker 3: you had when you were growing up. And then we're
- 53:16Speaker 3: going to get into how you screwed up at work. Brianna,
- 53:19Speaker 3: you have a weird rule, right?
- 53:21Speaker 11: Yes.
- 53:21Speaker 3: What was it?
- 53:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 53:25Speaker 3: What was it?
- 53:27Speaker 7: So growing up, I grew up on the reservation. So
- 53:31Speaker 7: the rule was that you could only go in and
- 53:34Speaker 7: out of the.
- 53:34Speaker 28: House one time. So if you, being a kid, you
- 53:38Speaker 28: wanted to.
- 53:39Speaker 7: Go play outside, once you came inside, you had to
- 53:42Speaker 7: stay inside.
- 53:43Speaker 2: Weird.
- 53:45Speaker 15: Yeah. So we would go out in.
- 53:47Speaker 7: The morning, pack a snack and a water bottle and
- 53:50Speaker 7: be out all day.
- 53:52Speaker 2: So you can't let go. Hey, I forgot my keys.
- 53:55Speaker 2: You can't come back in to grab something.
- 53:56Speaker 4: What if you needed to go to the bathroom?
- 53:58Speaker 9: You're just in for the rest of the day?
- 54:00Speaker 7: You pop the squat outside.
- 54:02Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 54:04Speaker 19: Wow.
- 54:04Speaker 2: So it's once a day. You can only come and
- 54:07Speaker 2: go one time.
- 54:09Speaker 15: Yes.
- 54:10Speaker 3: All right. That's a weird rule. Very weird rule.
- 54:13Speaker 29: I thought it was normal.
- 54:14Speaker 7: I thought everybody did it.
- 54:17Speaker 3: What about now as an adult? Has that affected you
- 54:20Speaker 3: in any way?
- 54:22Speaker 7: No, now my kids can go in and out of
- 54:24Speaker 7: the house whenever they want.
- 54:26Speaker 3: No, but you, like when you leave work, go to work,
- 54:28Speaker 3: you're like, if I go back home, I can never,
- 54:30Speaker 3: when you call back into work, sir, I forgot my purse.
- 54:32Speaker 3: And you go back in, I can't leave. Forgot my purse,
- 54:35Speaker 3: I go back inside.
- 54:35Speaker 14: I wish.
- 54:36Speaker 3: All right, Brianna, thanks.
- 54:37Speaker 2: For calling in.
- 54:38Speaker 7: It was very traumatizing when I found out that nobody
- 54:41Speaker 7: else did that.
- 54:42Speaker 11: I bet, I bet.
- 54:43Speaker 20: I was like, oh, so you guys can go inside?
- 54:46Speaker 2: What a weird question to hear from your friend. I
- 54:48Speaker 2: can coincide anytime I want.
- 54:49Speaker 3: So, all over the news on Thursday and Friday was
- 54:53Speaker 3: these people got fired. And Dolly Parton died. Don't want
- 54:57Speaker 3: to confuse you. Nine to five. So, what's it called? Good, good, bad, good?
- 55:04Speaker 11: Good, good.
- 55:04Speaker 3: And what did they do? They made a bad video.
- 55:06Speaker 9: Yes, they made an ad that It was eerily effervescent
- 55:11Speaker 9: of domestic violence, right? And so they paired with Callaway
- 55:13Speaker 9: to do this golf club and that's what they were
- 55:16Speaker 9: promoting in the ad. And it was not received well
- 55:19Speaker 9: and everyone started pulling their sponsorships. So Good Good basically
- 55:23Speaker 9: fired their marketing team. And then the owner on Friday
- 55:27Speaker 9: came forward and was like, it's interesting that Callaway is
- 55:29Speaker 9: cutting ties with us and kind of making us take
- 55:32Speaker 9: the fall when they approved the ad. They basically wanted
- 55:35Speaker 9: us To make the ad. And then he sort of
- 55:38Speaker 9: insinuated that they were thinking about maybe legal action against Callaway.
- 55:41Speaker 9: But since then, that's kind of gone away. But even
- 55:43Speaker 9: Callaway did admit that they did approve the ad. And
- 55:46Speaker 9: since then, they have fired the marketing team that was involved.
- 55:49Speaker 3: So we want to know how you screwed up at
- 55:51Speaker 3: work or you saw someone's group at work. And then
- 55:54Speaker 3: we're going to guess whether they got fired or not. Brandon,
- 55:59Speaker 3: good morning. Did you screw up at work?
- 56:04Speaker 10: Hey, good morning, long-time listener, fourth-time caller. No, I did
- 56:10Speaker 10: not screw up, but I saw someone screw up. So
- 56:13Speaker 10: I used to work in tech sales, and this lady
- 56:15Speaker 10: would fall asleep in a cubicle next to me. And
- 56:18Speaker 10: we were no snitches, so we would nudge her every
- 56:22Speaker 10: once in a while, go over and ask her some questions,
- 56:24Speaker 10: and she would just fall asleep all the time. And
- 56:26Speaker 10: then one time she fell asleep, and she did eventually
- 56:32Speaker 10: get caught for it, and then What we found out
- 56:35Speaker 10: was that under a whole bunch of paperwork in the
- 56:38Speaker 10: bottom drawer of her desk was like 50 of those
- 56:41Speaker 10: little tiny liquor bottles.
- 56:43Speaker 1: They were empty.
- 56:44Speaker 4: No.
- 56:45Speaker 2: Okay, so our— She wasn't sleepy.
- 56:46Speaker 9: She was drunk.
- 56:47Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 56:47Speaker 2: So our guess is did she get fired or not, right?
- 56:49Speaker 10: We know why she was sleeping.
- 56:50Speaker 3: You have to guess, yeah.
- 56:51Speaker 1: I'm going to.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Say she did not get fired.
- 56:53Speaker 9: I'm going to say she did.
- 56:54Speaker 4: Yeah, she got fired. You can't drink on the job.
- 56:56Speaker 2: I don't think she got fired.
- 56:59Speaker 3: We're split.
- 56:59Speaker 10: What if she was just collecting the bottles and they
- 57:01Speaker 10: were not used?
- 57:02Speaker 3: That's right. So what's the answer?
- 57:03Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 57:05Speaker 3: She was fired.
- 57:06Speaker 4: Of course she got fired.
- 57:14Speaker 3: Yeah, of course.
- 57:17Speaker 15: All right.
- 57:17Speaker 3: Thanks, Brandon.
- 57:18Speaker 1: That's a good one, man.
- 57:18Speaker 3: That's good. Lisa, good morning.
- 57:22Speaker 15: Good morning.
- 57:23Speaker 29: How are you guys?
- 57:24Speaker 3: Did you screw up at work or did you see
- 57:25Speaker 3: someone screw up at work?
- 57:27Speaker 21: I screwed up.
- 57:29Speaker 3: Okay, you tell us what happened and we're going to
- 57:30Speaker 3: guess if you got fired or not.
- 57:33Speaker 29: Okay, so I was on a team call with a
- 57:36Speaker 29: lot of my peers, our supervisor, and our operations director.
- 57:42Speaker 24: One of my peers is not good at her job.
- 57:47Speaker 29: So I didn't realize I forgot to mute myself after
- 57:51Speaker 29: I finished discussing something.
- 57:54Speaker 28: And then she said about checking.
- 57:57Speaker 19: Her work and her numbers. And I go, well, no shit, Sherlock.
- 57:59Speaker 11: Oh!
- 58:04Speaker 9: You can't say that on your zoo she screwed up
- 58:10Speaker 9: on our job too megan how'd you screw up at
- 58:13Speaker 9: work or did you see someone.
- 58:14Speaker 31: Screw up oh my gosh okay so everyone's dreaded side
- 58:19Speaker 31: work at cracker barrel is the lemonade machine because you
- 58:23Speaker 31: have to break it down take it to the dish
- 58:25Speaker 31: pit wash it out refill it well of course you
- 58:28Speaker 31: put it back together I got finished, and I realized
- 58:32Speaker 31: that I forgot to put the gasket in there. So
- 58:35Speaker 31: I slid it under the machine, clocked out, and left.
- 58:38Speaker 3: Okay.
- 58:40Speaker 2: And what happens?
- 58:41Speaker 3: Just massive chaos?
- 58:43Speaker 21: Yeah, yeah.
- 58:44Speaker 4: It leaks.
- 58:45Speaker 31: And eventually it all leaks out. And so mid-shift, dinner time,
- 58:49Speaker 31: they were cleaning up my mess.
- 58:51Speaker 4: Oh, I'm sure they were mad.
- 58:53Speaker 3: Okay. So that's your screw-up. So I'm going to say
- 58:55Speaker 3: you did not get fired.
- 58:57Speaker 9: Yeah, me too.
- 58:58Speaker 18: Why do you say that?
- 58:59Speaker 3: Because people make mistakes. Maybe they gave.
- 59:02Speaker 9: You some grace.
- 59:03Speaker 4: But that wasn't a mistake. She did it on purpose.
- 59:05Speaker 3: Are you still at Cracker Barrel?
- 59:06Speaker 19: I did not do it on purpose.
- 59:08Speaker 2: Nah, you didn't get fired.
- 59:08Speaker 20: I just forgot a piece.
- 59:10Speaker 2: You didn't get fired.
- 59:11Speaker 3: Did you get fired or not fired?
- 59:13Speaker 31: I did not get fired.
- 59:14Speaker 18: Okay, good.
- 59:16Speaker 3: Are you still there? You still working?
- 59:19Speaker 15: No, I quit that job.
- 59:21Speaker 3: I'm a big fan of their mac and cheese, by
- 59:22Speaker 3: the way. Big fan.
- 59:24Speaker 31: Oh, yeah, and their chicken tenders.
- 59:25Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 59:27Speaker 3: Thanks, Megan.
- 59:27Speaker 19: The grilled tenders.
- 59:28Speaker 3: I'm so glad you didn't get fired. Hold on the line.
- 59:30Speaker 3: All right, so tell us how you screwed up at work,
- 59:32Speaker 3: and then we're going to guess if you got fired
- 59:34Speaker 3: or not. Or you saw someone screw up at work.
- 59:36Speaker 3: All right, how'd you screw up at work? And did
- 59:44Speaker 3: you get fired? We're going to guess. Bev, good morning.
- 59:49Speaker 15: Morning.
- 59:49Speaker 12: Good morning. When I look back at this, I still
- 59:53Speaker 12: think this is so hilarious. So anyway... I was about 18,
- 59:58Speaker 12: 18 or 19, and I was a receptionist at a
- 1:00:02Speaker 12: law firm. And so one of the attorneys, his wife,
- 1:00:07Speaker 12: called in. And so I put her through. And I
- 1:00:11Speaker 12: was like, Mr.
- 1:00:12Speaker 19: Jacobson, your wife is.
- 1:00:13Speaker 12: On line one. But really, she was on line two.
- 1:00:17Speaker 12: So he picks up line one and says, hey there,
- 1:00:22Speaker 12: you sexy little wench. To a client.
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:00:34Speaker 9: And the client's like, excuse me?
- 1:00:35Speaker 23: This is so bad.
- 1:00:37Speaker 18: Oh, my God.
- 1:00:38Speaker 12: Okay, so you have to guess. Did I get fired?
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: No, you didn't get fired. See, I don't know.
- 1:00:44Speaker 9: It depends. Was it a huge client?
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: I think because of his personality, the way he said
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: that to his wife, that he's good. He was fine.
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: He laughed at it.
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. I think you did get fired.
- 1:00:55Speaker 4: I think you're safe.
- 1:00:57Speaker 9: I think it was a big client.
- 1:00:59Speaker 12: I did not get fired.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: Take this job and shove it.
- 1:01:08Speaker 12: They were a really fun couple. I would house sit
- 1:01:13Speaker 12: for them. And, oh, my God, I saw things in
- 1:01:16Speaker 12: that house that I didn't want to know about my boss.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: Like what?
- 1:01:22Speaker 12: Well, I found a naked picture of her in the
- 1:01:24Speaker 12: kitchen drawer, like where your junk drawer. I'm like, why
- 1:01:28Speaker 12: is there a naked picture?
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: So she really is a sexy little witch. Like I was,
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:01:33Speaker 12: So I was like looking for scissors and then there's
- 1:01:35Speaker 12: a picture of her and there was a bunch of
- 1:01:38Speaker 12: VHS tapes and I did not even, but they were
- 1:01:41Speaker 12: like naughty names on them. Like you knew there was
- 1:01:44Speaker 12: going to be something scary on there.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: They partied a little.
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: That's all right. What were some of the, were they
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: homemade or were they like?
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Yeah, homemade.
- 1:01:52Speaker 12: They were homemade. You know, it's a, like her name
- 1:01:55Speaker 12: in the bathtub or whatever.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: Well, of course, if they're, if they're, you know, careless
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: enough to leave naked pictures in the junk drawer, they
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: got all kinds of stuff going on.
- 1:02:05Speaker 12: I know when they have a house sitter, what the heck?
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: Man, okay. That's a good story, Beth. That's awesome. Thanks
- 1:02:11Speaker 3: for calling in. Thank you.
- 1:02:12Speaker 12: Hey, I wanted to say happy birthday to John Jay
- 1:02:15Speaker 12: on Friday. We share the same birthday.
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: Oh, my God. Happy birthday, Beth.
- 1:02:20Speaker 20: Happy birthday.
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: Thank you very much.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm very excited.
- 1:02:24Speaker 12: You're welcome.
- 1:02:25Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Bye.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: On Instagram, it's funny. The Virgo Instagram is filling my feed.
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: Sometimes these horoscopes trip me out because it's like, how
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: Virgos celebrate their birthday, how they just don't care. And
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: that's like the whole vibe and that's exactly how I'm like, okay, whatever. Jeff, Jeff,
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: good morning. Did you screw up at work or did
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: you see someone screw up?
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: It was someone else that screwed up at work.
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: Okay, tell us what they do.
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: Okay, so at this time, I was in the military
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: and I'm already at my work, my station. And all
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: of a sudden, the entire base gets recalled. We get
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: some information that there might be, like, a sniper on
- 1:03:17Speaker 6: the base. And so, like, the entire base, everyone that's
- 1:03:21Speaker 6: off work has been called into base. And, like, we're
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: doing this whole, like, sweep and search and everything. Come
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: to find out that it wasn't a sniper on the base.
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: It was actually an antelope that was on the base.
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: Someone thought it was a sniper.
- 1:03:40Speaker 22: Okay.
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: All right, that's pretty big.
- 1:03:43Speaker 9: Yeah, I would think you'd get fired for that. You
- 1:03:46Speaker 9: have to know the difference, right?
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: I would say they didn't get fired, but they got
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: transferred to some terrible military base.
- 1:03:51Speaker 9: Oh, that's good.
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: What happened?
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: Well, from what I heard, they didn't get fired, but
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: they did get into some trouble and have to talk
- 1:04:03Speaker 6: to the commander. And I think they got assigned some
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: extra work that they had to do.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Explain to me, Private, how you think this antelope is
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: a sniper. Good morning, Janae. Did you screw up at work?
- 1:04:23Speaker 28: I did screw up at work.
- 1:04:24Speaker 23: I screwed up at work last week, actually.
- 1:04:27Speaker 28: I work in payroll, and I accidentally made.
- 1:04:30Speaker 31: A $ 15, 000 mistake by double-paying employees.
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: I'm going to guess that you didn't get fired because
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: I think it'd be too soon for you to call
- 1:04:42Speaker 3: in and share that story if you got fired. Well.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: I don't think she got fired.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: I did not get fired.
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: You did not get fired.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: That's a bad email to get back in.
- 1:04:52Speaker 18: I'm in the process of fixing it.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:54Speaker 4: What a nightmare.
- 1:04:55Speaker 20: Yeah, no, employees are not happy when they have to
- 1:04:57Speaker 20: pay that money.
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, sure. That's a terrible mistake.
- 1:05:01Speaker 8: So just a mess I'm currently dealing with.
- 1:05:04Speaker 3: Hold on a second.
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: That's a good one.
- 1:05:05Speaker 11: Hold on.
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: Sean, what's your screw up?
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: Hey there.
- 1:05:10Speaker 28: So my screw up at work.
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:05:12Speaker 18: Can you hear me?
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: Yeah, gotcha.
- 1:05:15Speaker 28: Yeah, so my script at work was about 10 years
- 1:05:17Speaker 28: ago at the time I sold copiers. And on the contract,
- 1:05:21Speaker 28: you wrote the charge for the color copies and the
- 1:05:24Speaker 28: charge for the black and white. And I reversed them.
- 1:05:27Speaker 28: So I should have had the black and white at
- 1:05:30Speaker 28: a penny and the color at 10 cents, but I
- 1:05:32Speaker 28: reversed them. And this went on for like two years.
- 1:05:36Speaker 10: Nobody caught it.
- 1:05:36Speaker 18: It was a $ 27, 000 mistake.
- 1:05:37Speaker 28: Yeah, I was already gone.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Oh, well, then they couldn't fire you.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: So then you didn't get fired.
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: Take this job, Shelby!
- 1:05:52Speaker 28: However, a few years later, they still hired me back
- 1:05:55Speaker 28: when I wanted to come back.
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: Oh!
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: And then they fired.
- 1:06:00Speaker 21: Me.
- 1:06:00Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:06:01Speaker 28: And I'll tell you, John Jay, I'm in central Phoenix,
- 1:06:04Speaker 28: and it is raining right now.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: Oh, I see it raining everywhere now.
- 1:06:08Speaker 11: Well, yeah.
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: Well, thank you very much, Sean, for sharing that story.
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: You're welcome. Diana, you got to screw up.
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: Yeah, so I worked in the restaurant industry, and a
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: couple of friends of ours decided to leave some special
- 1:06:25Speaker 8: candies in one of the drawers. And our manager, thinking
- 1:06:31Speaker 8: she was very funny, went into that drawer and ate
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: all of our candies.
- 1:06:35Speaker 15: And.
- 1:06:37Speaker 8: Didn't know what kind of candies they were, so basically
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: she ended up having to leave to the hospital because
- 1:06:43Speaker 8: she ate the entire salad.
- 1:06:45Speaker 5: Oh, no.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: She was hot.
- 1:06:47Speaker 5: Take this job and shove it.
- 1:06:50Speaker 8: Went over on us, and she said, yeah, you guys
- 1:06:53Speaker 8: better think next time before you leave your candies in
- 1:06:55Speaker 8: the drawer. And we're like, you did not eat them.
- 1:06:58Speaker 8: And she's like, oh, I ate all of them. So
- 1:07:02Speaker 8: she didn't smoke at all. So you can even imagine
- 1:07:05Speaker 8: how that went.
- 1:07:06Speaker 21: Over for her.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: She was probably so sick after that.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: It's like she tried to get one over on you.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: So it's kind of your fault, but not your fault.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: Well, who gets in trouble for that?
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:07:16Speaker 3: So who got in trouble? Her or you?
- 1:07:18Speaker 11: Actually, nobody.
- 1:07:20Speaker 8: Nobody got in trouble. She didn't. She loved us all
- 1:07:23Speaker 8: so much. She didn't say anything. She was just, no
- 1:07:26Speaker 8: more candies at work.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: That's a good rule.
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: She had to go to her stomach.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: No more candies.
- 1:07:31Speaker 21: Not even regular candies.
- 1:07:32Speaker 26: Take this job and shove it.
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: Diana, it's up to you or Janae for My Chemical Romance.
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: Do you want to see My Chemical Romance?
- 1:07:43Speaker 21: I do.
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: You do?
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: Okay. Well, then you can have them then.
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: Take some candies.
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: Go to the show.
- 1:07:48Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: Hold on a second.
- 1:07:49Speaker 15: Hold on.
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: Janae, do you want to see My Chemical Romance?
- 1:07:54Speaker 20: I want to see My Chemical Romance so bad.
- 1:07:56Speaker 22: And Jimmy Eat World.
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: Jimmy Eat World is my favorite.
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: Can we give her two pair? We can get a
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: pair for her. Yeah, okay. Yeah, no problem, Janae. You
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: got it. You got it.
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: Yay!
- 1:08:03Speaker 19: Thank you so much.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: That was a good round, people. See what it brings.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: You all participate so well.
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: Actually, there's one more. Michael, you got one? You screwed
- 1:08:11Speaker 3: up at work?
- 1:08:14Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: Can you.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: Hear me?
- 1:08:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:08:18Speaker 28: Okay, so I started working for this painting company.
- 1:08:21Speaker 18: And it's just like cruise of three.
- 1:08:23Speaker 17: So I was, uh, it was about like my, I
- 1:08:25Speaker 17: was only there for like maybe two weeks and it's
- 1:08:28Speaker 17: a father and son that I'm working with. Well, the
- 1:08:30Speaker 17: son asked me, he shows me a cooler full.
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Of beer and he's like, you, you want a beer?
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: And I was like, not, not on the clock, dude.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm good.
- 1:08:38Speaker 17: He's like, all right, well, he starts drinking and drinking away.
- 1:08:41Speaker 18: We'll come lunchtime.
- 1:08:42Speaker 10: We need to go get more paint.
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: Well, he can't drive his truck cause he's so wasted.
- 1:08:46Speaker 17: So I drive his truck to go, you know, to
- 1:08:48Speaker 17: the paint store to go get more paint.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: We come back.
- 1:08:52Speaker 9: I look over.
- 1:08:52Speaker 17: He's literally on the neighbor's roof, not the house that
- 1:08:56Speaker 17: we're painting.
- 1:08:57Speaker 28: Neighbor's roof and he's dancing and singing and I'm like
- 1:08:59Speaker 28: telling his dad like dude.
- 1:09:00Speaker 17: You should probably tell him to go wait in the
- 1:09:02Speaker 17: truck so he doesn't get in trouble and uh he's
- 1:09:06Speaker 17: dancing away well long story short at the end of
- 1:09:09Speaker 17: the day while we're all packing up he I guess
- 1:09:12Speaker 17: he sliced his finger open like really.
- 1:09:14Speaker 11: Bad on one of the handmasters and he.
- 1:09:16Speaker 17: Had to go get stitches so um Yeah, that's basically what.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: Well, he owned the company, so he didn't get fired. Nah,
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: he didn't get fired. Right, he didn't get fired. He
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: didn't get fired.
- 1:09:25Speaker 18: Well, he definitely got fired.
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: He said, I thought he owned the company.
- 1:09:29Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I'm sorry?
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: I thought you said he owned the company.
- 1:09:34Speaker 15: Oh, no, no.
- 1:09:34Speaker 10: I was working for a new company.
- 1:09:36Speaker 18: It was just crews of three.
- 1:09:37Speaker 17: The crew that I was with was a father and
- 1:09:39Speaker 17: a son.
- 1:09:40Speaker 3: Oh, I got it.
- 1:09:42Speaker 14: Take this job and shove it.
- 1:09:47Speaker 5: Woke up with his nude baby.
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: John Jay and Rich are live on the free iHeartRadio app.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: Kyle Payton, what do we got for entertainment news?
- 1:09:54Speaker 9: Dolly Parton was laid to rest in a quiet ceremony
- 1:09:56Speaker 9: over the weekend. And I feel like this is exactly
- 1:09:58Speaker 9: what she wanted. There was no giant celebrity funeral, just
- 1:10:01Speaker 9: her family and loved ones in Nashville. And apparently she
- 1:10:04Speaker 9: was buried in a cotton dress. Remember, she said she
- 1:10:06Speaker 9: wanted to finally be comfortable, right? And wearing her signature
- 1:10:10Speaker 9: stilettos right next to her husband of 58 years, Carl,
- 1:10:13Speaker 9: who passed away just last year. May she rest in peace.
- 1:10:16Speaker 9: and the whole family was there. It was just, from
- 1:10:19Speaker 9: what I'm seeing online, they all said it was just
- 1:10:21Speaker 9: a beautiful event that was exactly what she wanted.
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: Yeah, what if they did the funeral was from like
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: nine to five?
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: Perhaps, John Jay, perhaps.
- 1:10:30Speaker 9: Harry Styles was performing at Madison Square Garden over the weekend,
- 1:10:33Speaker 9: which of course is also where Taylor Swift, his ex,
- 1:10:36Speaker 9: just got married. And that was something that he could
- 1:10:38Speaker 9: not not mention.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: We're at Madison.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Square Garden, home of the world champion New York X,
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: And then also to weddings.
- 1:10:49Speaker 9: I love how he addressed it without really addressing it.
- 1:10:52Speaker 9: And everyone in the audience was like just dying of laughter.
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: I'm like wondering how Zoe Kravitz feels about that. Because
- 1:10:58Speaker 4: for me, I'd be like, for what? Why did you
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: need to.
- 1:11:00Speaker 5: Bring her up?
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: She was there, right? She was at the wedding.
- 1:11:02Speaker 9: I'm sure she saw it. I'm sure she thought it
- 1:11:05Speaker 9: was funny.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: Did you see pictures of him? Like, I love this
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: about him. Like, he just walks to Madison Square Garden.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: Like he doesn't, most people have their limo, their car,
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: drive them down to the tunnel.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: He's just walking by. My, my daughter, Audrey goes to
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: school right across the street from there. And she's walking
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: every day in Adidas because apparently he has a thing
- 1:11:22Speaker 2: for Adidas. She's like, he's going to see us and
- 1:11:24Speaker 2: come talk to us and invite us to the show.
- 1:11:26Speaker 15: So epic.
- 1:11:29Speaker 9: Tom Cruise is not done bringing back his old movies
- 1:11:31Speaker 9: because almost 40 years after Days of Thunder, he is
- 1:11:34Speaker 9: getting back into the NASCAR world as cold trickle. And
- 1:11:37Speaker 9: this time, Anne Hathaway is coming with him, playing a
- 1:11:40Speaker 9: team owner and engineer. Jerry Bruckheimer is back producing the
- 1:11:44Speaker 9: whole thing, too.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: Now what?
- 1:11:46Speaker 2: Now what?
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: Let's make the movie.
- 1:11:48Speaker 9: I'm going to have this baby and then we're going
- 1:11:49Speaker 9: to make this movie.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: That's a good idea. You have the baby, then we'll
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: go big.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: We're coming out summer of 2028.
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Don't be late.
- 1:11:57Speaker 9: So we won't be late because there's a lot of
- 1:11:58Speaker 9: time until summer of 2028.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: So if you watch that video, there's something that happens
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: in the beginning of the video that I watched over
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: and over again because I get such a kick out
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: of it. I don't know how well Tom Cruise and
- 1:12:06Speaker 3: Anne Hathaway know each other, but we know her as
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: Anne Hathaway. You ever heard people talk about Robert De Niro?
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: They call him Bobby. In the beginning of the video,
- 1:12:12Speaker 3: he's like, Annie, Annie, we got to make this.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: And I'm like, wow.
- 1:12:16Speaker 3: He calls her Annie.
- 1:12:17Speaker 9: His nickname for her.
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: It's pretty cool.
- 1:12:20Speaker 9: You can actually hear Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chainfield Festival tonight
- 1:12:23Speaker 9: right here on 1047 Kids FM. The event itself raised
- 1:12:24Speaker 9: $ 10 million. And then Melinda French-Gates announced she's going to
- 1:12:29Speaker 9: match that entire thing with another $ 10 million, bringing in
- 1:12:32Speaker 9: a total of $ 20 million for 10 nonprofits supporting women
- 1:12:36Speaker 9: and girls. Very cool event because all of the huge
- 1:12:40Speaker 9: stars that went on stage with Olivia Rodrigo, they just
- 1:12:43Speaker 9: performed for free just so that they could raise the
- 1:12:45Speaker 9: extra money. So we're talking Stevie Nicks, Sarah McLachlan, and
- 1:12:48Speaker 9: Alanis Morissette. I think I know what I want.
- 1:12:51Speaker 5: Don't you think? I'm like, where are you?
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: I'm not your baby, baby It's a pretty world.
- 1:13:04Speaker 9: So something actually really cool happened right after Olivia's performance
- 1:13:07Speaker 9: with Stevie Nicks. Sandra Bullock posted that these are the
- 1:13:10Speaker 9: voices of two angels in a new movie coming out.
- 1:13:14Speaker 9: And everyone's like, oh, wait a minute. Does that mean
- 1:13:16Speaker 9: Olivia Rodrigo and Stevie Nicks are doing music for Practical
- 1:13:21Speaker 9: Magic 2? That's what everyone's assuming, although nothing's been confirmed
- 1:13:25Speaker 9: just yet.
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: That would be really cool. That makes a lot of sense.
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:13:28Speaker 9: And Stevie Nicks, I guess her music was perfect. really
- 1:13:30Speaker 9: big part of Practical Magic 1, so it would definitely
- 1:13:32Speaker 9: make sense.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: Yeah, that's not Rihanna. It's about a witch.
- 1:13:35Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:13:35Speaker 9: Cardi B, she actually just revealed her music video, Aha,
- 1:13:39Speaker 9: was supposed to cost about $ 250, 000, but it ended up
- 1:13:42Speaker 9: being much more than that.
- 1:13:44Speaker 14: Bro, this video came out to be over a million.
- 1:13:46Speaker 14: And this is s * * * that be f * * *
- 1:13:48Speaker 14: ing me up because if you look at the video,
- 1:13:50Speaker 14: it doesn't even give that. But the way sometimes, because
- 1:13:53Speaker 14: I'm Cardi B, I be getting overcharged is annoying.
- 1:13:57Speaker 9: For example, I.
- 1:13:58Speaker 14: Really wanted to do my music video... in a small
- 1:14:00Speaker 14: block in the Bronx. No, they made me do it
- 1:14:02Speaker 14: in different places. And to get permit, it was so expensive.
- 1:14:06Speaker 14: And I feel like they overcharged me for permits. It
- 1:14:08Speaker 14: was about 40 NYPD cops, which made it impossible. We
- 1:14:13Speaker 14: couldn't even get right shoes because like they was just
- 1:14:15Speaker 14: doing too much.
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, that makes sense on why Cardi B
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: is literally in her bag right now. She is like
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: doing every brand collab possible. She just announced that she
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: is doing a collaboration with Huda Beauty. It's called Ultra
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: Smash and it's going to be like a setting baked powder.
- 1:14:31Speaker 4: And then she's also collaborating with Chipotle. Chipotle posted on
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: their Instagram like this bedazzled burrito bowl with Cardi B's
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: name on it. But it's to launch their new chili
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: lime chips. So that's going to be, yeah.
- 1:14:43Speaker 3: Their chips are good. Yeah, definitely.
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: So yeah, Cardi actually announced that on her Instagram before
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: it was supposed to be announced on the launch, which
- 1:14:51Speaker 4: was supposed to be today. So it was kind of
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: awkward on her. That's how she messed up at work. Okay,
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: Zara Larson, she is setting kind of the record straight
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: about her career. She told her team that she absolutely
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: does not want to be put into the ring for
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: the best new artist at the Grammys. And she's like,
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: that completely discredits all 13 years of the music that
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: I've been making. I'm not a new artist. Just because
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: I had one song that popped off and made me
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: viral and now I'm mainstream doesn't mean that I'm a
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: new artist.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Huh.
- 1:15:17Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: I think I'd take it if they give you that honor.
- 1:15:19Speaker 5: I know.
- 1:15:19Speaker 2: That's still great exposure. And a Grammy's a Grammy.
- 1:15:22Speaker 4: But she doesn't want it at all.
- 1:15:25Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: Well, we got your tickets to Gold Rush Music Festival
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: every day this week. Today, you have to win our
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: game Impostor. You guess which one of us is the
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: imposter you win. By the way, anyone know who's playing
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: at the Gold Rush Music Festival?
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: Anyone? Is it Martin Garrix?
- 1:15:43Speaker 3: Martin Garrix. Okay. Anyone else?
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: It's all DJs.
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:15:46Speaker 3: Okay. So there you go. 877-937-1047. Guess which one of
- 1:15:51Speaker 3: us is the imposter and you win after Nicki Minaj.
- 1:15:54Speaker 27: Oh, what happened to our contestant? Oh, we had a
- 1:16:03Speaker 27: contestant on the line and then something happened. So we
- 1:16:06Speaker 27: need a contestant. Call us at 877-937-1047. We're going to
- 1:16:09Speaker 27: play a game. What do you got there?
- 1:16:11Speaker 22: What?
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: Food News, if you want to do that.
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: Sure, we can always do Food News. And now, John
- 1:16:18Speaker 3: Jay and Rich present.
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: Food News.
- 1:16:23Speaker 6: Food News.
- 1:16:23Speaker 4: John Jay and Rich have Food News.
- 1:16:28Speaker 2: Well, this is good news for anybody who's ever drank
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: a Mountain Dew and thought, man, I wish my armpits
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: smelled like this. Mountain Dew, and it's not AI. It's
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: not a joke. They've teamed up with Duke Cannon to
- 1:16:40Speaker 2: make Mountain Dew-inspired body wash and soap. So it's bright green,
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: it's citrus-scented, and people actually thought the pictures were fake,
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: but they are not. You can now walk into Walmart
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: and buy something that makes your shower smell like, well,
- 1:16:54Speaker 2: a gaming convention. And apparently people who've tried it say
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: it's actually pretty close to the dew. So finally, you
- 1:17:01Speaker 2: can drink the dew and bathe in the dew. Please
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: pay attention to which bottle you grab at 6 a.m.
- 1:17:06Speaker 2: while you're walking through Walmart.
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: You know what? That's the perfect thing to lead into
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: this thing that I was going to bring up this morning.
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: It says there's a new trend where men are not
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: showering and not using deodorant before dates intentionally.
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: Why?
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: According to social media, this is, quote, pheromone maxing. Ignoring
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: basic hygiene isn't the only way to boost your pheromones.
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: Some men are supposedly wearing unwashed shirts, drinking their own urine.
- 1:17:30Speaker 11: Ew.
- 1:17:30Speaker 2: What's that?
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: The idea is that if you amplify your natural musk,
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: you'll become biologically irresistible, which is not an exact science,
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: but if you think about it, that's what animals do.
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: But that is dumbass maxing.
- 1:17:41Speaker 9: Yeah, but if you smell, that's going to be a
- 1:17:43Speaker 9: red flag.
- 1:17:43Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:17:44Speaker 4: Like, I get it. I know a couple girls that
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: like their man a little musty, but that's disgusting. Like,
- 1:17:50Speaker 4: I'm sorry. I can't. Put some deodorant on your pits.
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: It says some people don't mind a little BO, but
- 1:17:55Speaker 3: don't do pheromone maxing. It's nothing else out of consideration
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: for the other people that are out there or everything.
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: I don't think you get a kiss goodnight if you're
- 1:18:01Speaker 2: drinking your own pee. Yeah, that's pretty gross.
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: You probably don't tell them that, but you want to smell. Des,
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: you are our contestant. Good morning.
- 1:18:10Speaker 18: Good morning.
- 1:18:11Speaker 21: How are you guys?
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: All right, we're going to play Impostor. And how do
- 1:18:15Speaker 3: you play that, Peyton?
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: So our producer, Nick, he has secretly picked one person
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: in the studio to be the imposter. So three of
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: us have all gotten the same word or the same topic.
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: We are each going to describe that word without saying it.
- 1:18:28Speaker 4: But the thing is, one of us is the imposter
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: and you, Des, have to figure out who it is.
- 1:18:34Speaker 21: Okay.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: Okay, so you can decide to start with John Jay, Rich, Kyle,
- 1:18:39Speaker 4: or me, Peyton, on who you want us to start
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: off with.
- 1:18:42Speaker 19: Let's start with Kyle.
- 1:18:44Speaker 9: Okay, I'll say bake.
- 1:18:47Speaker 5: Movies.
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: Wipers.
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: Entertaining.
- 1:18:54Speaker 9: Organize.
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: Sleep. Tomato soup.
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: Yummy.
- 1:19:01Speaker 9: Clean the house.
- 1:19:04Speaker 3: Cuddle.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: Books.
- 1:19:06Speaker 25: Cold.
- 1:19:08Speaker 9: Listen to music.
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: Shopping.
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: Blanket.
- 1:19:14Speaker 4: Okay, Des, do you have any idea on who you
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: believe is the imposter in the room?
- 1:19:18Speaker 19: I kind of want to say it's Rich.
- 1:19:22Speaker 2: I am not the imposter.
- 1:19:26Speaker 4: Oh, man. You're just throwing out words there. Okay, I'm
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: going to go with special.
- 1:19:35Speaker 5: Build.
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: Board games.
- 1:19:39Speaker 22: Hmm.
- 1:19:40Speaker 3: Stay home.
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: Comfortable.
- 1:19:45Speaker 5: Scroll.
- 1:19:47Speaker 3: Video games.
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: Galoshes.
- 1:19:50Speaker 19: Board.
- 1:19:51Speaker 12: Fort.
- 1:19:53Speaker 3: Sex.
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: Grilled cheese.
- 1:19:57Speaker 4: Okay, Des, any other idea? Rich is not the imposter,
- 1:20:00Speaker 4: so you have a chance at three of us. What
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: is that, a 33% chance?
- 1:20:03Speaker 6: Kyle.
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: Kyle.
- 1:20:08Speaker 9: Not the imposter.
- 1:20:09Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: Okay, now it's a 50-50 shot.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: Because it's the same topic.
- 1:20:13Speaker 4: It's a 50-50 shot.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: John Jay.
- 1:20:19Speaker 3: No, I am not the imposter. I'm the imposter.
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: No.
- 1:20:22Speaker 12: I have no idea what.
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: The topic is.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: This is things to do on a rainy day.
- 1:20:26Speaker 11: Oh.
- 1:20:28Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: Fun did not fit that category.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: Des. That was really bad.
- 1:20:34Speaker 6: I'm sorry.
- 1:20:35Speaker 2: You might be the first one to get all the
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: imposters wrong in one fell swoop.
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: Which is an accomplishment, I think. You get tickets to
- 1:20:42Speaker 3: Gold Rush, the Gold Rush Music Festival. So hold on, Des.
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: We're going to set you up. Kyle, what's coming up
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: with three things you need to know?
- 1:20:48Speaker 9: I'm going to tell you the big changes that are
- 1:20:50Speaker 9: coming to Instagram next with John Jay and Rich.
- 1:20:53Speaker 5: Good morning. Wake up every morning.
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: Start your day with John Jay and Rich.
- 1:20:57Speaker 9: I wake up with my favorite artist.
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: Hey, this is Sabrina Carpenter.
- 1:21:00Speaker 15: What's up guys?
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: This is Post Malone. It's Benson Boone and you're waking
- 1:21:03Speaker 3: up with John Jay and Rich. Backstreet Boys had their
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: last concert at the Sphere for the summer.
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: Yeah, because they start back up during the holidays.
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: Right, but it was Saturday night, and so many people
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: were there. All three of the Jonas Brothers were there.
- 1:21:15Speaker 2: Oh, that's cool.
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: Donnie Wahlberg was there with Jenny McCarthy. What's cool about
- 1:21:19Speaker 3: Donnie Wahlberg to me is that there's the evolution. Donnie
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: Wahlberg was New Kids on the Block in the late 80s,
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: which was a boy band, and he's there watching the
- 1:21:30Speaker 3: Backstreet Boys, which was the boy band in the late 90s.
- 1:21:33Speaker 3: And then you got the boy band, the Jonas Brothers.
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: It was such a cool little thing to see. It
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: was like some sort of, it was like the Marvel
- 1:21:42Speaker 3: universe of boy bands. Yeah, it was really cool. It
- 1:21:45Speaker 3: was really cool. Kyle, what are the three things we
- 1:21:47Speaker 3: need to know today?
- 1:21:48Speaker 9: So Instagram has new rules for teens that include two-hour
- 1:21:52Speaker 9: daily limit, no access from midnight to 6 a.m., and
- 1:21:55Speaker 9: no notifications during school. This is all because of that
- 1:21:58Speaker 9: big lawsuit. And I'm already wondering how quickly teenagers are
- 1:22:01Speaker 9: going to find a way around this. But for now,
- 1:22:03Speaker 9: those are the new rules. Now, remember Trump renaming Lake
- 1:22:06Speaker 9: Ontario Lake America and Canada was basically like, no, you're not. Well,
- 1:22:10Speaker 9: Google Maps has officially entered the chat because here in
- 1:22:13Speaker 9: the United States, if you Google Lake Ontario, it actually
- 1:22:17Speaker 9: says Lake America. But if you're in Canada and you
- 1:22:19Speaker 9: Google Map it, it still says Lake Ontario. So apparently
- 1:22:23Speaker 9: the same lake now just changes whenever you cross the border.
- 1:22:27Speaker 9: Somebody stole an entire truck carrying more than 50,000 cans
- 1:22:32Speaker 9: of PBR in California.
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: So that's a.
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: Lot of beer.
- 1:22:35Speaker 9: That's $ 45, 000 worth of beer.
- 1:22:39Speaker 3: Street value, $ 60. Yeah.
- 1:22:42Speaker 9: They're like, PBR is like kind of having fun with it.
- 1:22:44Speaker 9: And they're like, listen, we totally get wanting to brag
- 1:22:47Speaker 9: to your friends about this, but we kind of need
- 1:22:49Speaker 9: our beer back. I'm not really sure who did this
- 1:22:53Speaker 9: or how they're going to find it.
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: I know.
- 1:22:54Speaker 31: I don't know.
- 1:22:55Speaker 9: I do not know how they're hiding it.
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: You know somebody's going to be bragging about that.
- 1:22:59Speaker 9: Was this like a frat initiation thing? I'm not sure.
- 1:23:02Speaker 9: But yeah, I think their sense of humor is only
- 1:23:05Speaker 9: going to last so long if they don't get it back.
- 1:23:08Speaker 9: Completely changing gears here because there's a really scary situation
- 1:23:11Speaker 9: happening right here in Arizona. A flash flood ripped through
- 1:23:14Speaker 9: the Grand Canyon while people were hiking and camping. One
- 1:23:17Speaker 9: man passed away and 15 others are still missing. 60
- 1:23:22Speaker 9: people were rushed to the hospital. Bridges that they had
- 1:23:25Speaker 9: walked just 15 minutes earlier were completely washed away. If
- 1:23:28Speaker 9: you were planning on going to the Grand Canyon and
- 1:23:30Speaker 9: staying overnight, all of those places are closed right now indefinitely.
- 1:23:33Speaker 9: They do not have a reopening time. So definitely thoughts
- 1:23:36Speaker 9: and prayers to the people, our first responders that are
- 1:23:38Speaker 9: out there trying to find people and giving families information. Also,
- 1:23:44Speaker 9: if you haven't been following baseball, watching the Diamondbacks right
- 1:23:47Speaker 9: now has gotten so suspenseful. So right now, we actually,
- 1:23:50Speaker 9: we are in the playoffs. But that could change in
- 1:23:55Speaker 9: an instant because we are only half a game ahead
- 1:23:58Speaker 9: of the San Diego Padres. So tonight, the D-backs actually
- 1:24:01Speaker 9: start a three-game series against Philadelphia here. And then the
- 1:24:06Speaker 9: Padres start a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds. So
- 1:24:10Speaker 9: we need to just hope the Reds pummel the Padres
- 1:24:13Speaker 9: so that we can secure the bag. But this is
- 1:24:16Speaker 9: like a day-to-day situation for our D-backs. And definitely, like
- 1:24:19Speaker 9: I said, very suspenseful. But right now, we hold that playoff,
- 1:24:22Speaker 9: that wildcard playoff position. Whether we keep it kind of
- 1:24:26Speaker 9: is up to us. So let's go D-backs tonight and
- 1:24:28Speaker 9: the rest of their games. And that's what you need
- 1:24:30Speaker 9: to know.
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: You know, we haven't even talked about this yet, but
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: Rich is here. Like you're in the studio.
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: I hobbled my way in.
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: Thursday morning, you like fell in the bathtub.
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: Wiped out, knee snapped, like knee popped, popped. And I
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: haven't been able to put any weight on it at all.
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: So I get my MRI this week, but I wanted
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: to be with you guys. I really missed you guys.
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: I'm glad you're in here.
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: My wife last night's like, this is stupid. Why are
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: you going in? I'm like, because I miss my crew.
- 1:24:58Speaker 2: I don't want you guys having too much fun without me.
- 1:25:00Speaker 3: Well, you've got crutches here.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: I do.
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: And you get the MRI. Who knows if they're going
- 1:25:04Speaker 3: to make you do surgery or stuff. But I was
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: like talking to Noah about it. I was like, you know,
- 1:25:09Speaker 3: he could. You know, I thought maybe we were going
- 1:25:11Speaker 3: to lose you. I wasn't sure.
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: Because I hurt my leg.
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: It's so extreme, Josh.
- 1:25:15Speaker 2: You're such an extreme man.
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: So guess what? I don't know if you guys know
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: this or not, but we have a sister station. It's
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: a Christian-based sister station. It's Kiss Faith. I think it's
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: Kiss Faith. I'm not sure.
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: Kiss the Lord AM?
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: It's a faith-based radio station. And they were listening to
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: what happened here on Friday. We're talking about Rich having
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: surgery and maybe not making it. And I couldn't believe
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: we pulled. Here's what happened on the Christian radio station.
- 1:25:39Speaker 26: In the flood or the fire, you are with me
- 1:25:42Speaker 26: and you won't let go.
- 1:25:45Speaker 13: This is 1047 Faith AM Radio. Today, John Jay, over
- 1:25:51Speaker 13: at our secular station, has prepared a tribute.
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: To a legend in our industry.
- 1:25:56Speaker 5: Radio's Rich Barrow.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: I was just getting ready this morning, stepping into the
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: shower to get all clean for the day. because I
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: love a morning shower, and my knee popped and it
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: just dropped me.
- 1:26:07Speaker 13: I was hunched over and naked, so I got cleaned.
- 1:26:14Speaker 22: Up and then I kind of scooted back to the bed.
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: I got checked out yesterday by both my primary doc
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: and then my physical therapy doc. They ordered an MRI,
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: which I didn't do yesterday because I was kind of
- 1:26:43Speaker 2: out of it.
- 1:26:45Speaker 13: But Rich said he heard a pop before he fell
- 1:26:53Speaker 13: into the bathtub.
- 1:26:57Speaker 5: Becoming who we are.
- 1:27:03Speaker 13: As my memory rests, but never forgets.
- 1:27:09Speaker 5: What I lost.
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: Wake me up when September ends.
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: Yes, I did the aptly test with my primary care.
- 1:27:20Speaker 2: She said you failed it. Your hamstring completely blew out.
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: This has happened before. It hurts so bad.
- 1:27:56Speaker 13: Radio's Rich Barrett collapsed in his own nudity Thursday morning.
- 1:28:00Speaker 13: Witnesses say he looked like a scared hermit crab who
- 1:28:02Speaker 13: lost his shell. He is survived by his castmates John Jay, Kyle, Peyton, Nick, Noah,
- 1:28:08Speaker 13: and Dylan. 22 years after a neck tumor nearly revealed
- 1:28:12Speaker 13: the stairway to heaven, Rich is tested yet again by
- 1:28:14Speaker 13: the cruelty this world has to offer. Send your thoughts
- 1:28:17Speaker 13: and prayers by texting FAITHRADIO to 96893. They play Green
- 1:28:20Speaker 13: Day over there?
- 1:28:22Speaker 2: That's pretty sweet.
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: Very religious.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: That's a great song.
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: Glad you're here today, man.
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: I'm glad to be back.
