- 0:00Today I will share seven tips to help you challenge your negative thoughts and promote positive daily behaviors.
- 0:08This is the exact strategy I use to ensure I'm manifesting more positive thoughts.
- 0:15And the few times I have failed to use this strategy, I have found that my day almost feels like everything is falling apart.
- 0:24Today, I'm excited to share my positive strategy to confidently challenge your negative thoughts and attract more positive thoughts daily.
- 0:34These techniques have helped me immensely, and I believe they can do the same for you too.
- 0:40By consistently implementing this strategy, you'll start to feel amazing and draw more friends toward you as people are naturally attracted to those who uplift them.
- 0:54Did you know we have 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts daily, 95 percent which are repetitive and 75 to 80 percent negative.
- 1:07While we can't control our thoughts, we can choose which ones to focus on and how they affect our behavior.
- 1:15So what do I mean when I say negative thoughts?
- 1:19Maybe you didn't get a good night's sleep.
- 1:21Then you run a mental checklist of everything you need to complete today.
- 1:26You start thinking, can anything be rescheduled for tomorrow or later in the week?
- 1:33And those negative thoughts start creeping in.
- 1:36You couldn't do that task anyways, because you don't know how.
- 1:39Or there you go again, putting things off.
- 1:44No one cares if you do it or not.
- 1:47And then the good thoughts come in.
- 1:49You can do this with your eyes closed.
- 1:53Everyone cares what you do, that's why they asked you.
- 1:58Now let's explore the strategies that will undoubtedly improve your ability to focus on positive thoughts and empower your behavior.
- 2:07Self affirmation.
- 2:10Stop what you're doing right now.
- 2:12Find a mirror look deep into your eyes and tell yourself three things you love about yourself.
- 2:21I love that you're creative.
- 2:23I love that you're an amazing problem solver.
- 2:28I love that you're a good mom.
- 2:31Acknowledge that it's normal to have negative thoughts, but those negative thoughts do not define who you are.
- 2:38Last week was challenging for me.
- 2:40I had several things that did not go as planned.
- 2:44I noticed the more I dwelled on how I felt things should have gone, the more I began to develop self-doubt.
- 2:52And this challenging week suddenly became personal.
- 2:56So I stopped right there where I was at.
- 3:00I'll share more about that later.
- 3:03Engage in physical activity.
- 3:06Go out walking, running, or scan YouTube for any workout or yoga videos.
- 3:13The goal is to be active.
- 3:16Did you know movement makes us feel better, sleep better, reduces anxiety, releases endorphins, which helps relieve stress.
- 3:26A busy mind is a healthy mind.
- 3:29The key is to keep busy.
- 3:32Journaling.
- 3:33Write a letter to yourself or write what you are thinking or going through right now.
- 3:40Give your thoughts a safe place to live and get out of your head.
- 3:45Surround yourself with positive people.
- 3:48Find one or two people you trust and be present.
- 3:54We are social beings.
- 3:56We were designed to be among other people.
- 4:00The key is to be social.
- 4:03Go out, surround yourself with people.
- 4:06Practice mindfulness, go outside, take your shoes off, put your feet in the grass, feel the energy that comes from the grass.
- 4:19Breathe in the air, grounding or earthing, this is so important, if you have a pet, pet them, love on them, embrace the sweet energy and love that your pet has to offer.
- 4:35Give yourself grace.
- 4:38What is the root of your negative thoughts?
- 4:41Is it your weight?
- 4:43Is it your appearance?
- 4:44Is it menopause?
- 4:46It's okay, guess what?
- 4:48We're all going through this and it's perfectly normal.
- 4:52You're not alone.
- 4:54Could it be frustration because you couldn't do something correctly?
- 4:57Or the outcome didn't look or provide the results that you had anticipated?
- 5:03That's okay.
- 5:04It's all part of growing and learning.
- 5:08Give yourself grace to accept, that it's okay.
- 5:13Everyone's beginning looks different and you need to love your beginning so that you can embrace your middle and your end.
- 5:24Practice gratitude.
- 5:26Be grateful for everything you have.
- 5:29Your family, your health, your friends, your pets, your home, your job.
- 5:36Being grateful for everything you have accomplished so far and celebrate them.
- 5:42So, back to my challenging day, when I stopped and separated myself from the challenges that I was faced with and just took the time to engage in activity, tell myself three things I loved about myself.
- 6:00Journal, surround myself with positive people, my husband and my daughter.
- 6:06Practice mindfulness.
- 6:08Give myself grace and be grateful.
- 6:12I was able to come back into my office and solve a technical problem that several techs told me did not have a solution.
- 6:21So by choosing to listen to my positive thoughts, which changed my behavior, I was able to think more clearly and resolve a problem which I had been told had no possible solution.
