  back in 2012, she was actually 12.

  Oh, OK. I was born in Nova Scotia and I

  grew up at at at about 27. I had been bartending for five

  years and I was like, you know what, I don't want to be, I want

  to wake up and be 40 and making drinks for drunk 19 year olds.

  So that's not my jam. So I said I need a career.

  A lot of my family has served in the Forces.
• 4:16
  So I said, OK, let's do it. And I wanted the option that

  would be most likely to keep me in this province and the Navy or
• 4:24
  either East Coast or West Coast. So I joined the Navy, Yeah.

  And I joined as a weapons technician.
• 4:30
  So I was the, I was responsible for making sure that all of the
• 4:33
  targeting systems and all of the missile systems operated
• 4:37
  correctly and been without error.
• 4:39
  So. Yeah, very cool.

  And then what about World of Warcraft?
• 4:44
  When did that come into your life?
• 4:47
  Vanilla. So I was an MMO player from like
• 4:53
  EverQuest days. Like original EverQuest days.
• 4:54
  My brother and I, we had two dwarfs.
• 4:58
  I was a paladin, he was a warrior named Caster and Pollux
• 5:01
  because we always tried to name ourselves in clever ways and he
• 5:08
  jumped on World of Warcraft early.
• 5:10
  I went to EverQuest 2O for shame, for shame.
• 5:14
  And eventually was convinced to join, well, the Warcraft by two
• 5:18
  of my friends who also played from.
• 5:21
  They played in the beta, actually, but they played right
• 5:24
  through, right through, right through launch.
• 5:26
  And they said, hey, we're rogues on this server, and we just
• 5:31
  spent all our time killing Horde players in Tarrant Mill, why
• 5:36
  don't you join us? And I was like, OK, that sounds
• 5:38
  like fun. And they were right.
• 5:39
  It was fun, Yeah. There's no truth or joy than
• 5:43
  killing horde players. Isn't that really?
• 5:45
  Really. Isn't I?

  I realize I've made a mistake. I'm now outnumbered here.

  Yeah. Well, Sean, you play like both

  EU and NA, though you're not actively on EU anymore.

  And you played both Alliance and Horde, right?

  Yeah, I am bi factional. If they had a third one I'd be

  pan factional. I'm certain of it.

  I just play what's fun. I really like blood elves.

  I really like dark iron dwarves and regular dwarves.

  Like humans. Big fan of Stormwind.

  Love silver moon, can't pick sides, Flipper flopper, wishy

  washy. And then of course, where or do
• 6:22
  you stand in like the kind of content that you hit?

  Like what? What's your jam when you get

  playing World of Warcraft? So I would classify myself as
• 6:30
  aggressively mid. I rated ACE level and on a in a
• 6:36
  two night a week mythic Guild I do keys.
• 6:40
  I I typically hit whatever the gear cap is for keys within the
• 6:44
  first two weeks. So in this season it was plus
• 6:47
  20s and then just stay at 20s for the whole season.
• 6:51
  At the end of this season I was like, hey, let's just do some 20
• 6:55
  fives and we did a little bit higher, but normally I hit that
• 6:57
  level and just stay there. I like speed more than
• 7:01
  difficulty, so I would rather see if I can do a 20 in eight
• 7:04
  minutes, then see if I can do a 25 in in time.

  Yeah, so I get pretty sweaty with it, but I'm not good enough
• 7:12
  to say that I'm like, you know, I'm a top end player.

  I'm I'm aggressively mid. I love it.

  I love it. I love that.

  Like that's your description of aggressively mid.

  And I'm sure that there are listeners out there that are

  like cutting edge CE that's not mid.

  I have been preparing my Demon Hunter for the next raids.

  I am so excited for season four. I am loving melee DPSI spent my

  entire life I was like Nope I'm a healer only.

  I hate DPS. I've tried.

  DPSI will never do DPS. It is worse.
• 8:47
  It is terrible. Please don't make me do DPS.

  Turns out I'd only ever done range.

  DPSI am in love with melee DPS. This is the most fun I've had

  and in the longest time. So I'm bopping around on that.

  And I got level 11 in Plunderstorm.

  So I got the cute little crab and that is all I'm doing in

  And so this week was spent almost and I guess from

  Thursday, I almost spent almost entirely in the alpha and just

  loving it. A lot of dungeons, a lot of

  delves and I found found my my new spirit animal in the war

  within those big are we allowed to talk about the war within and

  the things that are in there? We are allowed to talk about the

  war within and everything that's in there.

  warlock. So those are the two I've been

  spending time with. The alpha is alpha.

  I got locked out of 1 character for like half a day.

  That was pretty bad. I realized that like while you

  can play around with the specs, if you don't know like the

  insurance and outs of the base back, it's a lot harder to be

  like, is this going to work? So I did like a couple of

  dungeons and the and the damage like single target was like

  pretty decent the day we was like, I clearly need to like
• 11:40
  rework this. And then I started talking with

  like the class discord and there's we've only had the first
• 11:45
  wave of of invites. So not everybody is in there.

  Obviously there's way more people that want to be in there

  which can ask the question. Sean, you're in the alpha.

  Well, first I got to find my mount, then I'm going to get on

  a slow mount because I don't like dragon riding.

  But then in the process of finding my flying mount, which

  is the armored snowy white Griffin, if I find another

  ground mount that I think might be more fun, well, maybe I just

  take a ride over. Maybe I just walk over.

  Yeah. So it's slow process.

  That's why I dungeon level. Well, we'll see if we can go a

  little bit into what people can expect and maybe some tips on

  how to speed the two of you up on a later episode.

  But for now, let's go to the bread and butter of this, which

  is the war within Alpha. Now that we are out of the press
• 19:53
  summit, we are now in a public alpha wave. 1 invites have gone
• 19:57
  out. There are more people in it than
• 19:59
  before. And so we've had more time to
• 20:02
  sort of dig through and what we like.
• 20:05
  And that's what this is going to be about, like what kind of
• 20:08
  stuff we like. So I asked you guys like, what
• 20:11
  are you going to be excited about?

  And Lex, you said single player stuff.

  Sean, you started talking about hero talents and all of that.

  And of course me, you know me. I, I got to look at those

  dungeons and them raids. So let's start off Sean, you're

  the, you're the new face on the block.

  Let's give you the start off. Let's talk about hero talents.

  Yeah, so hero talents are coming in The War Within and it's just
• 20:38
  basically an extension of your talent tree for each of your
• 20:42
  specs. But there is it's a triangle.

  If you're a spec that has three builds, two of them will share a
• 20:49
  line, two of them will share a line, two of them will share a
• 20:51
  line, and then one won't go to others.
• 20:54
  If you have more than three or less than three, it varies.
• 20:58
  And they're a lot of fun. And I think the thing that I'm
• 21:02
  most excited about them is the thing about them that I'm most
• 21:07
  excited for as the English is that people are excited.

  So it gives you a chance to like grow your character a little
• 21:14
  bit, you know, and I, and it's that there's like this sense of
• 21:18
  hype all over the alpha right now.

  And I don't know if it's because there's no damage meters, but
• 21:23
  everybody just feels like they're absolute giga blasters
• 21:26
  no matter what they're doing. Now, I do log all of my dungeon
• 21:29
  runs. So for those of us who aren't
• 21:30
  giga blasters, I do know, but in the middle of it, not looking at
• 21:35
  anybody or pointing any fingers, but in the middle of it, it
• 21:38
  feels great. We we, we blast.
• 21:42
  And it's just like this, this sense of excitement and hope for
• 21:46
  everybody. And I, that is what I am most
• 21:49
  excited about, about the hero talents.
• 21:51
  And yeah. So I'm looking forward to seeing
• 21:54
  how those developed because the devs have been really on point
• 21:57
  with their communication for the most part and what their intent
• 22:01
  is and getting that player feedback and making adjustments.

  Like the the priest I know was was very active.

  Like the priest dev was very active in like making sure that
• 22:13
  the priests were happy. Yeah, that was amazing to watch
• 22:17
  just to see the immediate taking a feedback and and learning and
• 22:21
  the way that Oracle has changed since then.

  Alas, we are not getting a a support spec.

  It appears they just released the new text today that it's

  basically going to be pulling back significantly from the
• 22:34
  support aspect of Oracle and pushing significantly more into
• 22:37
  the healing aspect. We don't know what that looks

  like, but that's very exciting. Do any of the priest talent hero

  That and training dummies. So the dungeons this expansion

  looks like they're taking a lot of feedback.

  One is that they just generally feel a lot more succinct,

  tighter and shorter. The longest dungeons in the

  batch, the eight that we're getting in the War Within have 4
• 53:29
  bosses and that's half of them. The other four have only three
• 53:35
  bosses. And while the Meteary, the
• 53:39
  cinder brew Meteary is one that has four bosses and it's got a
• 53:43
  little more trash than I would like.

  There are there is some good routing so that you can skip a

  good amount of those packs. There's only, I'd say two of the
• 53:56
  rooms you really have to clear. Actually, that hallway kind of
• 53:59
  feels like you're routed through all the trash.

  I take it back half that place you have to full clear so but.

  We won't know till we get the numbers anyway for what

  have the gear or the keys scaled scaled high enough.

  lot of fun when you are when you're running through these.
