- 0:00Speaker 1: This podcast is recorded on gadigal Land, Always was, always
- 0:03Speaker 1: will be Aboriginal Land. Hey chicks, I'm out and I'm
- 0:12Speaker 1: sal and this is two broad Chicks, the show that
- 0:14Speaker 1: shares life lessons and tips to help make you rich
- 0:17Speaker 1: in life.
- 0:18Speaker 2: And we're back. It's another week.
- 0:20Speaker 1: I start every episode like that. I'm like, guess what,
- 0:24Speaker 1: You'll never believe it. It's another week. It's another Tuesday. Well,
- 0:29Speaker 1: today we have one of your favorite styles of episodes.
- 0:34Speaker 1: You chicks love a glow up episode to do sluts
- 0:38Speaker 1: for a glow up, slut for.
- 0:40Speaker 2: I'm a slut for a glow up. Yeah, I'm a
- 0:42Speaker 2: slut for a glow up.
- 0:44Speaker 1: And so we're gonna say what our glow up tips
- 0:48Speaker 1: are to glow up before the end of twenty twenty five.
- 0:51Speaker 1: And so as always with this it's very much inside
- 0:56Speaker 1: outside vibes, Like your life does not revolve around the
- 1:00Speaker 1: way that you look on the outside. It's on the
- 1:02Speaker 1: way that you feel on the inside. So always keep
- 1:05Speaker 1: that in mind with these episodes. You don't need to
- 1:07Speaker 1: change everything about you, as hannahmon Tanna says, you can
- 1:10Speaker 1: change your hair, you can change your clothes, you can
- 1:13Speaker 1: change your mind. It's just the way it goes. But
- 1:15Speaker 1: you'll always find your way back home. So true and
- 1:18Speaker 1: so right for that.
- 1:19Speaker 2: She was so right for that. How old was she
- 1:21Speaker 2: when she wrote that?
- 1:23Speaker 1: Did?
- 1:23Speaker 2: She wrote that, we don't know, but questions you don't.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Don't pop the bubble. Yeah, put that on a shirt.
- 1:30Speaker 1: If you believe something and that makes you happy, don't
- 1:32Speaker 1: pop the bubble with it.
- 1:34Speaker 2: You know what, I've always said, I fuck with a posibo.
- 1:37Speaker 2: I've always said.
- 1:38Speaker 1: I've always But before we get into it, we must
- 1:42Speaker 1: discuss obsessions of the week.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I'll obsas she yelled, my obsession of the week.
- 1:49Speaker 3: It's actually from a brand that we've partnered with, a Cosa,
- 1:54Speaker 3: and we did work with them on the live show
- 1:56Speaker 3: tour as well, So any of you chicks who came
- 1:59Speaker 3: along to the group Chat tour at all of the shows,
- 2:01Speaker 3: we gave away a bedroom makeover thanks to.
- 2:05Speaker 2: We did a sexy little quiz yeah, which was.
- 2:07Speaker 3: So much fun, and we worked with them a bunch
- 2:09Speaker 3: of times before. But as we've been doing content around
- 2:13Speaker 3: the Black Friday sALS and doing like our online shot
- 2:15Speaker 3: with us and whatnot, so many chicks have been reaching
- 2:17Speaker 3: out asking for where to buy mattresses and bedding on
- 2:22Speaker 3: sale this Black Friday. So I wanted to use my
- 2:24Speaker 3: Obsession of the Week as a chance to highlight that
- 2:28Speaker 3: particular Black Friday sale because they're doing up to thirty
- 2:30Speaker 3: five percent off and that includes like mattresses, bed frames,
- 2:35Speaker 3: sofa beds as well. We have one of their sofa
- 2:37Speaker 3: beds in our office and we pull it out and
- 2:40Speaker 3: lay down on it all the time.
- 2:41Speaker 1: When we hit the three pm Slumpy Doodles, we've literally
- 2:44Speaker 1: laid on it and done like breath.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Work because we're so sleepy. Literally.
- 2:49Speaker 3: But yeah, so I wanted to throw that out there
- 2:51Speaker 3: and make sure you chicks add that to your list
- 2:52Speaker 3: if you are in need of some new bedding or
- 2:55Speaker 3: sofa bed or furniture.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Ah, what about you? Okay. Ession of the Week is
- 3:01Speaker 1: a new accidental find love like file this under products
- 3:06Speaker 1: that should be.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Viral but aren't. My favorite category of product.
- 3:11Speaker 1: And Sal and I were shooting some content for a
- 3:14Speaker 1: brand partnership and I had just like not brought any
- 3:18Speaker 1: of my makeup with me to like do touch ups.
- 3:21Speaker 1: So I was like, Oh, I need to go get
- 3:22Speaker 1: MISCA and I need to go get this so much
- 3:24Speaker 1: price line ended up spending like one hundred bucks and.
- 3:28Speaker 2: It always happens a like price line. It's like half fried.
- 3:32Speaker 1: So no ragrets, not a single letter. And this is
- 3:36Speaker 1: probably my new lipliner obsession. This flipliner is literally ten
- 3:42Speaker 1: out of fucking ten. It's the revolution peut bomb plumping lipliner,
- 3:48Speaker 1: and it's ten dollars. This ten dollars lip liner will
- 3:53Speaker 1: change your life. It is a twisty lip liner because
- 3:57Speaker 1: I hate the pencils because I'm like, where's my pencil
- 3:59Speaker 1: sharp now? You lose so much product in the process
- 4:02Speaker 1: of like actually sharpening the pencil.
- 4:04Speaker 2: So true.
- 4:05Speaker 1: So this slipliner comes in ten shades. And when I
- 4:08Speaker 1: tell you that, like I put it on, it's so creamy,
- 4:11Speaker 1: so buttery, not dry at all. But this morning we
- 4:16Speaker 1: went to have breakfast, I ate a hole for Kasher
- 4:19Speaker 1: and literally the whole thing was still on, Like the
- 4:23Speaker 1: lip gloss in the center had moved off and that
- 4:25Speaker 1: was gone, but literally the whole outline of my lips
- 4:29Speaker 1: and lipliner was still intact. And normally I have to
- 4:32Speaker 1: reapply lipliner maybe like an hour after I apply it,
- 4:37Speaker 1: you know, in most cases, I put it on yesterday
- 4:40Speaker 1: at what time do we go on shoot at like
- 4:42Speaker 1: eleven o'clock at three pm, I hadn't touched my lips.
- 4:45Speaker 2: That's so good. It is so good. And they're ten bucks.
- 4:49Speaker 1: And I lose small products like lipliners and biscas and
- 4:54Speaker 1: lip glosses so much that like, I feel like the
- 4:58Speaker 1: days of spending based I'll probably buy a six dollar.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Lip line next week.
- 5:03Speaker 1: The days of spending like sixty dollars on a lip
- 5:05Speaker 1: line are?
- 5:06Speaker 2: I feel like that's done for me? Yeah's? I love them,
- 5:08Speaker 2: but also I'm gonna go.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Stuck up on a shit ton because I'm scared this
- 5:13Speaker 1: will go viral and I won't be able to buy
- 5:15Speaker 1: them anymore. Okay, So the shades that I really like
- 5:18Speaker 1: is burnt cherry red.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Which is what I'm wearing right now. Looks great. And
- 5:23Speaker 2: then cookie warm brown.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, those are my favorite and you can also
- 5:27Speaker 1: wear them together if you want.
- 5:29Speaker 2: So does it have like a plumping ingredient in it?
- 5:32Speaker 1: Look?
- 5:32Speaker 2: Did it feel like it didn't tingle at all? Okay?
- 5:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't feel a plumping sensation, but it does
- 5:39Speaker 1: say that it does that. So these smooth, belvety lip
- 5:42Speaker 1: liners will define your lips with a warming tingle to
- 5:45Speaker 1: provide the appearance of plumper feeling lips, and they also
- 5:49Speaker 1: infused with vitamin E. Lovely lips look noticeably fuller after
- 5:54Speaker 1: eight hours. I think that's a good thing that I
- 5:56Speaker 1: didn't experience some like wild tingling, because I kind of
- 5:59Speaker 1: hate that in products, Like you don't want it to
- 6:02Speaker 1: be painful.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree.
- 6:05Speaker 1: What's that?
- 6:06Speaker 2: Let you see? Is that like a little sharpener in itself?
- 6:09Speaker 2: Why does it? It is a news.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Sharpener, like to make the I understand I'm loaning something new.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Let's see for those not watching the video, I've just
- 6:19Speaker 1: pulled off the end and there's like a little oh
- 6:22Speaker 1: my god, it's a tiny sharpener to make the tip sharp.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Wrap up the podcast. I've got to go home. That's
- 6:27Speaker 2: all you need to glow up before next year. Holy
- 6:30Speaker 2: fucking shit. Love it. Ten out of ten.
- 6:33Speaker 1: There's also a clear Okay, I just want like the plumping.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, bitch, wow yeah. The future is here. The
- 6:41Speaker 2: future is here.
- 6:42Speaker 1: And it's a plumping tend to look finer.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Okay, shall we going to see the episode?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Let's rack this bitch, alrighty. My first tip to blow
- 6:50Speaker 1: up before the end of twenty twenty five is to
- 6:54Speaker 1: do the financial hot Girl audit. I'm sad, she's sat,
- 6:59Speaker 1: She's sad, And basically it's called that to make it
- 7:02Speaker 1: sound fun, but basically it's your performance review with yourself.
- 7:08Speaker 1: But the end result is a financially savvy chick and
- 7:11Speaker 1: that's hot. The reason I included this was because I
- 7:14Speaker 1: saw a post saying it takes fifty five dollars a
- 7:17Speaker 1: day to blow twenty thousand dollars in a year.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Shit.
- 7:21Speaker 1: That put the fear of God in me.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I think my heart rate just went up. Jake your ring.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Literally, I was like, holy shit, that start also put
- 7:33Speaker 1: the fear of God in you.
- 7:34Speaker 2: You need to do a financial hot girl audit. Yeah.
- 7:38Speaker 1: So what this is and I've kind of mapped it
- 7:40Speaker 1: out right, and the purpose of it is to identify
- 7:44Speaker 1: your iconic, your chaotic, and your toxic money traits. So
- 7:48Speaker 1: number one, your iconic purchases. These are the things you
- 7:52Speaker 1: bought that genuinely improved your life. These stay they're the blueprint, Okay, right,
- 7:59Speaker 1: So example being like your kindle because you use that
- 8:03Speaker 1: every day. Yep, you know, concert tickets to that thing
- 8:06Speaker 1: that you really enjoyed, Like the content you really enjoyed
- 8:08Speaker 1: ac DC. You know that one serum that you really
- 8:12Speaker 1: saw a difference in your skin after using it. Good
- 8:15Speaker 1: coffee pods, Polarates, membership that you actually use. They're your
- 8:19Speaker 1: iconic purchases. They're your guilt frey, gorgeous, stunning, amazing, They're
- 8:23Speaker 1: the blueprint that we want to identify those.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Ye. Number two is your chaos purchases. Oh god, these
- 8:33Speaker 2: are the.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Things that you bought in an emotional spiral, whether it
- 8:38Speaker 1: was you're at like drinks with the girls and you're like, no.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Babes, this round is on me. I love you guys
- 8:44Speaker 2: so much. I'm just gonna hold a mirror in front
- 8:46Speaker 2: of my babes.
- 8:47Speaker 1: Personal Yeah, these are your not hot approved items and
- 8:52Speaker 1: spending habits, like late night wish lists. The I saw
- 8:56Speaker 1: it on TikTok and bought it within four seconds. The
- 8:59Speaker 1: I was sad uber eats.
- 9:01Speaker 2: The emotional trigger purchases.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Yeah, the like eighty dollar foundation when you already have
- 9:06Speaker 1: half a bottle of one at home. Yeah, then we
- 9:08Speaker 1: have your joy to cost ratio queens. So the tiny
- 9:13Speaker 1: affordable things that give huge joy. So these are your
- 9:18Speaker 1: hot girl gold so things like fresh flowers or like
- 9:22Speaker 1: art supplies, a new mug, a twelve dollar romance novel.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Is this a necessity?
- 9:30Speaker 1: No?
- 9:30Speaker 2: But is this gonna make me really really happy? Yes?
- 9:34Speaker 1: But these obviously have like an asterisk on it because
- 9:37Speaker 1: the more you overindulge in something that joy to cost
- 9:40Speaker 1: ratio is gonna plummet.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Okay, then we have your high ROI habits, So the
- 9:46Speaker 1: free or low cost things that make you feel like
- 9:48Speaker 1: you're in a rich girl eerror. So the things that
- 9:51Speaker 1: you were like, Okay, no, this is money that I
- 9:53Speaker 1: need to spend because I'm getting the value out of it.
- 9:56Speaker 1: This is like your rent because you live there, right,
- 10:00Speaker 1: This is your bills. This is the maybe not so
- 10:02Speaker 1: sexy things like petrol that you're like, while these aren't
- 10:07Speaker 1: maybe the sexiest of items, and wheys that I spend money?
- 10:11Speaker 2: The ROI of how much I use it? That's there.
- 10:14Speaker 3: Yeah, they are like daily essentials exactly.
- 10:18Speaker 1: And then last, but not least, is your financial IX.
- 10:23Speaker 2: So the money.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Behaviors that you did this year that gave.
- 10:26Speaker 2: You the ick when you're in the shower and you.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Like remember it and you're like, oh yeah, the behavior
- 10:31Speaker 1: is that you're like, oh, I didn't want to check
- 10:32Speaker 1: my bank account after that, yeah, or I don't want
- 10:35Speaker 1: to look at the after paid balance because it's going
- 10:39Speaker 1: to give me anxiety. So like ignoring bills, avoiding your
- 10:43Speaker 1: banking app, buying things because TikTok told you.
- 10:45Speaker 2: To, Yeah, subscriptions that you forgot to cancel that you
- 10:48Speaker 2: haven't used.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Yeah, So to recap iconic purchases, chaotic purchases, joy to
- 10:55Speaker 1: cost ratio, high ROI, habits, and your financial and then
- 11:01Speaker 1: once you get that done, you'll make your hot girl adjustments.
- 11:04Speaker 1: So like where will you redirect your money too? Is
- 11:08Speaker 1: that going to go to savings? Are you going to
- 11:09Speaker 1: put that into investing and learn how to do that?
- 11:13Speaker 1: Is there a certain thing you're saving up that you
- 11:15Speaker 1: want to buy, like a house or a car or
- 11:18Speaker 1: a really nice leather jacket. Yeah, I love that. That's
- 11:21Speaker 1: the one that got here. Yeah, not the house, not
- 11:24Speaker 1: the car, the really nice leather jacket.
- 11:26Speaker 2: You're like, yeah, yeah, that's of good. That's good. You're like,
- 11:29Speaker 2: I'm going to do that exactly.
- 11:32Speaker 1: You're then going to lower your chaos purchases category. So
- 11:37Speaker 1: being like, okay, these items this I need to stop doing.
- 11:40Speaker 1: If that's your uber eats and like a late night,
- 11:43Speaker 1: how are you going to start lowering that amount? And
- 11:47Speaker 1: then you're also going to look at your iconic purchases,
- 11:49Speaker 1: what behaviors or what was the similarity of those things
- 11:52Speaker 1: that I did within those Yeah and yeah, and then
- 11:55Speaker 1: you plan the rest of your rest of your.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Money for twenty twenty five twenty six.
- 12:00Speaker 3: Yeah. I love that, And like this time of year
- 12:04Speaker 3: is a good time to do it as well, because
- 12:05Speaker 3: you can go back, you know, the last twelve months,
- 12:08Speaker 3: or it's a good point to reflect and then put
- 12:11Speaker 3: some of those habits into place, hit the ground running
- 12:14Speaker 3: for the new year.
- 12:15Speaker 1: This doesn't have to be your budgeting for next year either. Yeah,
- 12:18Speaker 1: Like it's more like this is a performance review. We're
- 12:21Speaker 1: looking back, We're not looking forward yet reflecting because I
- 12:23Speaker 1: think as well, when you're going into like your money
- 12:26Speaker 1: goals in twenty twenty six, which is so crazy that
- 12:28Speaker 1: we're even saying that, it's like to do both the
- 12:31Speaker 1: backwards and the forwards can feel like a really big task.
- 12:36Speaker 1: So it's like to just the background work, Just do
- 12:39Speaker 1: the background work before.
- 12:40Speaker 2: The end of twenty twenty five.
- 12:41Speaker 1: And I think it's also really good to do that
- 12:44Speaker 1: before Christmas and New year's because it is kind of
- 12:47Speaker 1: a motivated to be like, Okay, this has kind of
- 12:50Speaker 1: pissed me off that I spent that much money on
- 12:52Speaker 1: this one thing and I haven't used it.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:54Speaker 3: My first tip is to ask yourself if your life
- 12:59Speaker 3: was a movie, what would the audience be screaming.
- 13:02Speaker 2: At you to do right now?
- 13:06Speaker 3: So you know, when you're watching a TV show or
- 13:08Speaker 3: a movie and the protagonist is doing something and you know,
- 13:13Speaker 3: like whether that is they're in a relationship that they
- 13:16Speaker 3: shouldn't be in, or they're in love with someone and
- 13:18Speaker 3: they're too afraid to say it, or you know, they're
- 13:21Speaker 3: scared to take the leap in their career and you're
- 13:23Speaker 3: like watching being like, bitch, just do it, like and
- 13:27Speaker 3: it seems so obvious when you're watching it, and you
- 13:30Speaker 3: just want to like grab the carry Bradshaw or whoever
- 13:33Speaker 3: it is, and shake them by the shoulders and be like,
- 13:35Speaker 3: just do this one thing. If somebody was watching your life,
- 13:39Speaker 3: what would they be telling you to do?
- 13:41Speaker 2: Oh right now?
- 13:42Speaker 1: Very good self reflection practice.
- 13:44Speaker 3: Yeah, so that could be something like dump him, or
- 13:49Speaker 3: tell the person how you feel, or quit the job
- 13:53Speaker 3: that you hate, or start working on that project that
- 13:56Speaker 3: you've been wanting to do or whatever it is. And
- 13:59Speaker 3: I think when you do ask yourself that question, something
- 14:02Speaker 3: will pop into your head and it's something that.
- 14:04Speaker 2: You know that you should do, and you know.
- 14:06Speaker 3: That deep down inside is something that you've been wanting
- 14:10Speaker 3: to action, but you kind of just push it to
- 14:12Speaker 3: the side. The end of the year is a really
- 14:15Speaker 3: great time to reflect on those things and maybe some
- 14:18Speaker 3: of the ambitions that you had for yourself for twenty
- 14:21Speaker 3: twenty five and put something into place to action that.
- 14:27Speaker 3: I don't think that you necessarily have to do the thing,
- 14:30Speaker 3: because say, if it is like quit your job, I'm
- 14:33Speaker 3: not telling.
- 14:33Speaker 2: You like everyone everyone job or the end of the year.
- 14:36Speaker 3: But maybe it's like, Okay, do you know what it
- 14:39Speaker 3: is to pursue my passion or to quit this toxic
- 14:43Speaker 3: job that I hate? So what's one thing that I
- 14:45Speaker 3: can do in between now and the end of the
- 14:47Speaker 3: year to get those steps in motion that would make
- 14:51Speaker 3: the audience who's watching my life go oh, thank god?
- 14:55Speaker 3: And that could be as simple as updating your LinkedIn, yeah,
- 15:01Speaker 3: giving your resume a glass, taking like the steps, yeah,
- 15:04Speaker 3: and recognizing what that thing is. I do think that
- 15:08Speaker 3: you can probably do this anytime of the year, but
- 15:10Speaker 3: the end of the year is just the perfect time
- 15:12Speaker 3: to do it and reflect on maybe where you thought
- 15:15Speaker 3: that you would be at the end of the year, or.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yeah, how you want to live your life in twenty
- 15:20Speaker 2: twenty six. That's such a good thing. I love that.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I was trying to look up there were any statistics
- 15:26Speaker 1: on relationship regret. I've found one and it says, in general,
- 15:31Speaker 1: seventy one point nine percent of Australians report facing at
- 15:35Speaker 1: least one relationship pressure in the last six months.
- 15:38Speaker 2: In a twenty twenty four report by.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Relationships Australia, like, seventy two percent of those in relationships
- 15:45Speaker 1: feel the pressure to be in a relationship.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Yeah, which is kind of wild. Yeah.
- 15:50Speaker 1: A US study found that nearly forty five percent of
- 15:53Speaker 1: women but less than twenty percent of men, expressed regret
- 15:58Speaker 1: in the area of mance. A notable regret for most
- 16:03Speaker 1: women was not breaking off a relationship sooner.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Dumb pimp, dumb pimp, dumb pimp.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Oh my god, if that come on? Yeah, I would
- 16:16Speaker 1: love to know. We should poll our chicks comment below.
- 16:19Speaker 1: We'll put a pole up in the in the Spotify commens.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Yeah, let us know Yeah, because.
- 16:27Speaker 3: You don't want to carry whatever it is, whatever has
- 16:29Speaker 3: popped into your head. You don't want to carry that
- 16:31Speaker 3: baggage into the new year.
- 16:35Speaker 1: I heard it quite recently and it was like, if
- 16:37Speaker 1: you're waiting for closure, give it to yourself. Yeah, And
- 16:42Speaker 1: I think that's also something that would be helpful and
- 16:45Speaker 1: really good to do before the end of the year.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Whether that's you know, the X that you only get
- 16:50Speaker 1: a message from at three am in the morning, or
- 16:54Speaker 1: the friend that maybe you had one fight and you
- 16:57Speaker 1: haven't spoken since, or they've kind of fallen off the
- 16:59Speaker 1: map of the earth, yeah, or you know, whatever that
- 17:04Speaker 1: situation is that you're waiting for closure, whether it was
- 17:07Speaker 1: you know, a job of passion that you really thought
- 17:09Speaker 1: you were meant to do but it hasn't quite worked
- 17:11Speaker 1: out for you. Yeah, that instead of waiting for that closure,
- 17:16Speaker 1: especially if you're waiting for someone else to give it
- 17:18Speaker 1: to you, you can actually just give that to yourself.
- 17:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and always have to give it to yourself. I'm good. Yeah,
- 17:26Speaker 2: it's so exhausting.
- 17:28Speaker 3: Well, because even if somebody gives you what you think
- 17:31Speaker 3: will give you closure, you need to be willing and
- 17:34Speaker 3: ready to like accept that.
- 17:35Speaker 1: Their actions are closure.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 1: It might not be their words they give you closure,
- 17:40Speaker 1: but their actions should.
- 17:42Speaker 2: Yeah, totally.
- 17:43Speaker 1: And there's always that quote that we shared on the
- 17:45Speaker 1: pod before, they couldn't give you closure because doing so
- 17:49Speaker 1: would mean taking accountability for their actions.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Yeah, and that just hits the nail on the head. Sorry.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I love how We've gone down a whole rabbit hole
- 17:59Speaker 1: that it was like a really nice.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Like if life was a movie. Love that song. Anyway,
- 18:07Speaker 2: what's your next one? Okay? My next one is a
- 18:10Speaker 2: fun little girlo pop one into it.
- 18:12Speaker 1: And it is these two skincare steps that I've been
- 18:16Speaker 1: doing for the last I'm gonna say six months, and
- 18:21Speaker 1: whenever I stop doing it, fuck me.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Do I know about it?
- 18:26Speaker 1: Yeah? Because my skin's like, wow, exactly that I hate
- 18:31Speaker 1: that I just did that.
- 18:33Speaker 2: I liked it. Let's zoom in so so.
- 18:38Speaker 1: Number one double cleansing. And I'm sure a lot of
- 18:44Speaker 1: chicks that are listening to this probably have already heard
- 18:46Speaker 1: this on some platform in a way of source. But
- 18:50Speaker 1: double cleansing is the one skincare step that I truly
- 18:54Speaker 1: account a lot of my skin success in the recent
- 18:59Speaker 1: months too, especially last year, my skin was like you
- 19:02Speaker 1: know and gone through something. She was gone through something.
- 19:05Speaker 1: You know, she was not a happy little girl. She's
- 19:07Speaker 1: not a happy little Veggieminte and double cleansing. So first
- 19:10Speaker 1: cleansing with an oil based cleanser. I like to use
- 19:13Speaker 1: a cleansing balm. They're Alpha h one reactions, and and
- 19:21Speaker 1: then a water based cleanser and chef's kiss. So the
- 19:26Speaker 1: oil based cleanser is to remove all the dirt make up,
- 19:31Speaker 1: and then the water based cleanser is to really kind
- 19:33Speaker 1: of like cherry on top, really clean the skin and
- 19:36Speaker 1: just leave such a beautiful clean canvas. And I'm absessed
- 19:43Speaker 1: because obviously life gets busy and you'll have like busy phases.
- 19:46Speaker 2: With work, or you'll just be tired.
- 19:48Speaker 1: And I'll fall off it, or maybe I'll run out
- 19:50Speaker 1: of one product and I haven't bought the other one,
- 19:52Speaker 1: so I'll go back to just doing one cleanse. It's
- 19:55Speaker 1: so obvious when I stopped doing it that I'm like, wow,
- 19:59Speaker 1: I hate it. When people were write I know and
- 20:01Speaker 1: like they were like I told you. It's like when
- 20:03Speaker 1: people are like, yeah, if you move your body, you'll
- 20:05Speaker 1: stop being sad, and so then I do it. I'm
- 20:07Speaker 1: like shit, and it is ten out of ten. And
- 20:10Speaker 1: then the second thing in that that I've only been
- 20:13Speaker 1: doing maybe for like the last two.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Months, is a facial tanning mist.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Now hear me out because I when I was like
- 20:23Speaker 1: having difficulties with my skin, my dorm was like, You've
- 20:27Speaker 1: got to stop fake tanning your face, and I was like, God,
- 20:31Speaker 1: I can. But yeah, anyway, I found a face tanning
- 20:36Speaker 1: product that doesn't break me out, that's super subtle, that
- 20:40Speaker 1: doesn't sink into your paws, and you've very likely already
- 20:42Speaker 1: heard of it, but I have a little way that.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I use it that's different.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Oh, it's the Eco Tan face tanning water, right, You've
- 20:51Speaker 1: very likely seen it. It's like natural products, which I
- 20:54Speaker 1: know natural.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Was kind of like, what does that mean?
- 20:56Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, it just doesn't
- 20:59Speaker 1: break me out and it doesn't sink in my paws,
- 21:01Speaker 1: and that's what I like. The thing that I didn't
- 21:04Speaker 1: like about it was that you had to like put
- 21:06Speaker 1: it on a like cotton pad and then like swipe it.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Over your face, right, which to me, I was like, I'm.
- 21:11Speaker 1: Losing products because it's soaking into the cotton pad and
- 21:15Speaker 1: I just never have cotton pets.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Yeah, So I'd end up using kind of like my hands,
- 21:19Speaker 2: and then.
- 21:19Speaker 1: It would go everywhere, and it was just annoying because
- 21:22Speaker 1: then I would never end up using it because it
- 21:23Speaker 1: wasn't easy to use in my brain. So anyway, sitting
- 21:28Speaker 1: in the bathroom there picture this, take me there, and
- 21:32Speaker 1: I've got this little tiny travel bottle of like a
- 21:35Speaker 1: setting spray that had like two millimeters in it, and
- 21:39Speaker 1: I went, I'm just.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Gonna put that in that.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I just put the Eco Tan face tanning water in
- 21:44Speaker 1: that little spray bottle and before I go to bed,
- 21:46Speaker 1: I just got sure game changer.
- 21:51Speaker 2: Do you have to like rub it in?
- 21:52Speaker 1: No?
- 21:53Speaker 3: You literally just sy it and you don't have any
- 21:55Speaker 3: issues with it being like streaking.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Any moisturizer on, Okay, So I do like my skin
- 22:00Speaker 1: care routine and I will have moisturizer on and I
- 22:03Speaker 1: feel like the moisturizer helps it.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Like okay, yeah, yeah, I love that, by the way, yeah,
- 22:10Speaker 3: because that's my only thing with tanning mysts because I'd
- 22:12Speaker 3: never tann my face. But I think I'm always worried
- 22:15Speaker 3: that I'm going to end up looking like Donald Trump
- 22:17Speaker 3: with like the white ring around my eye kind of vibe.
- 22:20Speaker 1: Because you're spraying it everywhere, so it kind of just
- 22:24Speaker 1: just wearing his hintint today I'm not wearing foundation. Wow.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Moving on to my next one, it is embody the
- 22:30Speaker 2: year of the Horse. I thought you were going to
- 22:33Speaker 2: say embody the year of the hawk.
- 22:35Speaker 3: That was like, yeah, maybe that too seasoned hours if
- 22:42Speaker 3: you know, you know, so you know, in the Chinese zodiac,
- 22:48Speaker 3: there's like a different of course, I'm I'm all over this, bitch.
- 22:52Speaker 3: Twenty twenty five was the year of the snake, so
- 22:56Speaker 3: that was all about like shedding a new beginning then,
- 23:01Speaker 3: and that which is really for you. Yeah, But twenty
- 23:04Speaker 3: twenty six is the year.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Of the horse.
- 23:07Speaker 1: And again I still keep thinking you to say, oh,
- 23:10Speaker 1: then you ruin it by putting this, I'm kidding.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Year of the whore the hoes.
- 23:16Speaker 3: It officially starts in February twenty twenty six, but I
- 23:21Speaker 3: was looking into this and what it means and whatnot,
- 23:24Speaker 3: and I was like, what's stopping us from embodying some
- 23:27Speaker 3: of these things?
- 23:27Speaker 2: Now?
- 23:28Speaker 1: So the Year of the Horse, if you were born
- 23:31Speaker 1: in nineteen seventy eight, which I'm sure someone would be
- 23:35Speaker 1: listening to this episode if they born in that year,
- 23:37Speaker 1: nineteen ninety, two, thousand and two, and twenty fourteen.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Regardless even if you weren't, no matter what year you're in,
- 23:44Speaker 3: you can always embody.
- 23:46Speaker 2: No yeah, And that's not what I say.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I were like, if you're like, ooh, I wonder if
- 23:49Speaker 1: it's my year, then if you're in those year, then
- 23:52Speaker 1: double whammy exactly.
- 23:55Speaker 3: But the Year of the Horse apparently brings momentum, boldness
- 23:59Speaker 3: and forward movement. It's a fast, fiery energy that calls
- 24:03Speaker 3: you into clarity. And I saw this post and it
- 24:07Speaker 3: had a bunch of different words that are associated with
- 24:11Speaker 3: the Year of the Horse, so I can link that
- 24:13Speaker 3: in the show notes. But I picked out some of
- 24:15Speaker 3: my favorites and some of the words that I think
- 24:19Speaker 3: we can hone in on and embody the year of
- 24:23Speaker 3: the horse. Now we don't wait until February twenty twenty six.
- 24:28Speaker 3: So some of my favorite words in the list were boldness, movement, freedom, authenticity, courage,
- 24:38Speaker 3: and leadership. We were speaking with Jim when we had
- 24:40Speaker 3: her on the podcast recently. She was talking about how
- 24:43Speaker 3: it can be really powerful to do some of those
- 24:45Speaker 3: exercises where you have a series of words and then
- 24:48Speaker 3: you pick out a top three that you feel like
- 24:51Speaker 3: aligned with your values. And I thought that could be
- 24:55Speaker 3: a really cool exercise that you could do for the
- 24:57Speaker 3: end of the year, Like, what are some of these
- 24:59Speaker 3: words that I wan want to embody in this final
- 25:03Speaker 3: month of the year and then potentially carry into the
- 25:05Speaker 3: new year. And what I love about this particular theme
- 25:11Speaker 3: is that it is all about taking leadership and being
- 25:14Speaker 3: bold and like making scary decisions, but also that there
- 25:19Speaker 3: is freedom and authenticity in that and kind of just
- 25:22Speaker 3: like following what your heart is telling you to do
- 25:25Speaker 3: and not being scared to make some of those decisions
- 25:28Speaker 3: that might feel a little bit bold.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I was like, I love that. Do you know
- 25:34Speaker 2: the story of the Chinese zodiac and how it was
- 25:36Speaker 2: like a race.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Yeah, there's one animal that cheats.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Oh what is it? Is it the mongoose or something?
- 25:44Speaker 2: What is it the rat?
- 25:45Speaker 1: Oh?
- 25:46Speaker 2: Of course, the year the Rat. I think I'm the chicken.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Characteristics of the rat intelligence and wit. People born in
- 25:54Speaker 1: the Year of the Rat are often described as smart
- 25:56Speaker 1: and quick witted. They're considered to be social creatures who
- 25:59Speaker 1: enjoy being where the action is. They're known for being
- 26:03Speaker 1: intelligent and agile that helped it win the race and
- 26:07Speaker 1: become the first animal in the zodiac cycle. Rats may
- 26:10Speaker 1: be perceived as thrifty or even a bit mean, as
- 26:13Speaker 1: they prefer to keep their money within the family and
- 26:15Speaker 1: are very generous to loved ones.
- 26:17Speaker 2: Interesting.
- 26:19Speaker 3: I actually do feel like there are a lot of
- 26:20Speaker 3: correlations between that and even like an aries yeah, which.
- 26:24Speaker 2: I think is really cool.
- 26:26Speaker 1: I remember when I was a little bit like, yeah, rat,
- 26:28Speaker 1: you rat, whereas now.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm fucking rat. Yeah, yeah, bitch, Yeah, mine's
- 26:33Speaker 2: the chicken.
- 26:35Speaker 3: And some of the characteristics are observant, hard working, courageous, confident,
- 26:43Speaker 3: with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
- 26:46Speaker 2: Interesting, very interesting.
- 26:50Speaker 1: My final glow up tip to glow up before the
- 26:53Speaker 1: end of twenty twenty five is the micro joy method. Yes,
- 26:57Speaker 1: and I've been putting this together, i would say, over
- 27:00Speaker 1: the last month, and it's basically a theory for building
- 27:05Speaker 1: a life you actually enjoy one tiny, happy little thing
- 27:09Speaker 1: at a time. And it's the idea that your happiness
- 27:13Speaker 1: isn't built from huge milestones or like personality overhauls, right,
- 27:20Speaker 1: because very often we have this like self improvement trap
- 27:25Speaker 1: from social media a lot, but just everything in life.
- 27:29Speaker 1: I think it's normal, but it shouldn't be to think
- 27:32Speaker 1: there's always a better version of you out there. This
- 27:36Speaker 1: micro joy method is like tiny personal and like weirdly
- 27:40Speaker 1: specific things that make you feel like yourself.
- 27:44Speaker 2: And this is this.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Thing that I've really been trying to lean into this
- 27:47Speaker 1: year of like what are the things that just make
- 27:50Speaker 1: me happy? And like those things where you're sitting there
- 27:53Speaker 1: and you're like, fuck, I need to do this more,
- 27:55Speaker 1: Like this is just so me and like, for example,
- 27:59Speaker 1: one of the things was like we went and saw
- 28:00Speaker 1: Wicked for Good this week and when we were like
- 28:04Speaker 1: literally having an aneurysm in the movie theater about like
- 28:07Speaker 1: the talent and the singing and the music, like I've
- 28:10Speaker 1: always loved musicals, but like sitting there and I was.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Like I needed to do this more. You should like
- 28:16Speaker 2: join a community theater.
- 28:18Speaker 1: No, I mean that I go and enjoy the art.
- 28:21Speaker 2: Yeah, like go we should go watch like more community.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Yes, what are those like weird little things that are
- 28:29Speaker 1: so uniquely things that make me happy? And how can
- 28:33Speaker 1: I incorporate those more into my lifestyle? And so I
- 28:39Speaker 1: came up with the soul Snacks menu, so different to
- 28:45Speaker 1: the adopamine menu, which is built around completing tasks that
- 28:49Speaker 1: you need to do in order to increase your dopamine.
- 28:52Speaker 1: The Soul Snacks menu is a daily menu of tiny
- 28:55Speaker 1: things that feed your soul, not your productivity.
- 28:59Speaker 2: Love that right, yeah, I was quite trapped with myself. Actually, good,
- 29:03Speaker 2: thank you. This can go this. I can get forehead
- 29:05Speaker 2: kiss for this later.
- 29:06Speaker 1: So you want to think of it like an emotional
- 29:08Speaker 1: tap ass Oh yeah, I know, right. So a bite
- 29:12Speaker 1: is like a two to three minute joy hit. That
- 29:15Speaker 1: could be listening to your favorite song yep, right, the
- 29:19Speaker 1: Wizard and I from Wicked.
- 29:21Speaker 4: There you go, High Hopes, Bipanic of the Disco Oh yeah,
- 29:25Speaker 4: release me, yeah, rock DJ, Predigress, Thunderstruck, ACDC, come on
- 29:31Speaker 4: now right.
- 29:32Speaker 1: A snack is like a five to ten minute ritual.
- 29:36Speaker 1: This could be reading your book before bed, like one chapter.
- 29:40Speaker 1: This could be having your morning coffee, maybe putting bit
- 29:42Speaker 1: of cinnamon in it, h brown sugar, something like that.
- 29:46Speaker 1: And then a meal is a twenty plus minute immersion,
- 29:51Speaker 1: so it's when you're you're like, I'm doing this. That
- 29:54Speaker 1: could be going to the markets and thrifting.
- 29:57Speaker 2: It could be going to the beach.
- 29:59Speaker 1: And going for a swimming, like your favorite rock pool.
- 30:01Speaker 1: It could be sitting down to watch your favorite movie
- 30:03Speaker 1: that makes you realize that, like, life's not that serious.
- 30:07Speaker 1: That's my final glow up tip is the soul Snacks
- 30:10Speaker 1: menu because I saw it on TikTok someone, I'll link
- 30:13Speaker 1: it in the show notes.
- 30:14Speaker 2: I love her content and she.
- 30:16Speaker 1: Said we're saving PDFs, not lives, and I was like, fuck,
- 30:23Speaker 1: you're so real for that. Yeah, like, yes, there are
- 30:27Speaker 1: very important things in the world that we all need
- 30:29Speaker 1: to like help one another and support and speak up
- 30:33Speaker 1: for what's right.
- 30:35Speaker 2: But as well, there.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Are also things that it's not that deep and that
- 30:39Speaker 1: three pm marketing email is not what makes the world
- 30:44Speaker 1: go round.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:45Speaker 1: So yeah, that's everyone's homework is to build your soul
- 30:48Speaker 1: snacks menu.
- 30:49Speaker 2: Yeah, dm ye share it in the comments. I want
- 30:54Speaker 2: to know why you chicks are going to be nibbling. Yeah.
- 30:57Speaker 1: I want everyone to comment their bite, their snack, and
- 31:01Speaker 1: their meal.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Cute.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Love it cute?
- 31:04Speaker 1: Should we get into the ro chick's hot line? Okay,
- 31:08Speaker 1: so we asked you chicks to send in your ways
- 31:11Speaker 1: that you feel like you glow up and that you
- 31:14Speaker 1: feel like your best, shiniest miss spark your self.
- 31:17Speaker 2: So let's get into them.
- 31:20Speaker 5: But if I'm ever in a room or have to
- 31:23Speaker 5: give a presentation and I'm feeling like really intimidated by someone,
- 31:28Speaker 5: I know the old saying is to picture them naked,
- 31:31Speaker 5: but I actually picture them doing a pooh, and it
- 31:33Speaker 5: just makes me feel like they're more human, and then
- 31:37Speaker 5: I feel better and more confident about myself.
- 31:43Speaker 2: I'm fucking done.
- 31:45Speaker 3: That is actually, that's amazing, amazing and terrifying, but it's true.
- 31:54Speaker 2: We all shit, that's amazing. That is really really good.
- 31:59Speaker 1: You know, the saying is to picture them naked, but
- 32:01Speaker 1: I actually picture them doing a poo. That's unwell, well
- 32:04Speaker 1: because in the best way, that's perhaps even more vulnerable. Yeah,
- 32:10Speaker 1: that's like how we always say when people like insecure
- 32:12Speaker 1: and it's like everyone's in a human body.
- 32:14Speaker 2: Kim Kardashian shits, yeah, she'd be pooping. Yep, she'd be pooping.
- 32:18Speaker 6: Okay, Hello, my name's Alexis and I've been following you
- 32:22Speaker 6: guys for a while.
- 32:23Speaker 2: I just wanted to say, you guys are doing great.
- 32:25Speaker 6: I love seeing all your videos and you guys are
- 32:28Speaker 6: getting really pig I just wanted to say thank you.
- 32:31Speaker 2: I love seeing all your stories.
- 32:32Speaker 6: In your reels.
- 32:34Speaker 1: There was no tip, but I love that.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, that's so swicey.
- 32:39Speaker 4: Cut.
- 32:40Speaker 2: You just glowed me up right now, Hey.
- 32:43Speaker 6: Chicks, my most random way of growing up is if
- 32:46Speaker 6: I spend like thirty seconds in the sun, I believe
- 32:49Speaker 6: that I am the most ten goddess Emma, and I
- 32:51Speaker 6: love hot and sexy, and I won't eat any more
- 32:55Speaker 6: ten than when I stepped outside because it's been thirty
- 32:56Speaker 6: seconds or five minutes, but I still feel so much.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Hotter anyway, Love you, love you bye.
- 33:06Speaker 7: This one's easy. Everyone already knows this. But when you
- 33:09Speaker 7: wake up, you're having a ship. Fake tin, had a
- 33:13Speaker 7: bad sleep, fake tin. Look in the mirror. Oh what
- 33:17Speaker 7: could make this out? Fake ten? It's simple, fake ten, instantly,
- 33:23Speaker 7: ten times hotter, animal effort, affordable. You gotta love it.
- 33:27Speaker 2: It's fake ten. Well from broke up with you, damn
- 33:32Speaker 2: quit your job. Faked Dan, stubbed your toe, baked Dan. Yeah, okay.
- 33:38Speaker 2: Final one.
- 33:39Speaker 1: This was a Sarah from New York, New York and International.
- 33:44Speaker 7: I get my lashes done, and I feel like a
- 33:47Speaker 7: brand new fucking woman.
- 33:55Speaker 1: That was everything to me.
- 33:57Speaker 3: More I get my lashes done, I'm a whole new
- 34:02Speaker 3: fucking woman, and I'm a whole new fucking woman. That
- 34:05Speaker 3: was maybe my favorite submission we've ever received.
- 34:08Speaker 7: I get my lashes done and I feel like a
- 34:10Speaker 7: brand new fucking woman.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Make that my fucking message tone right now. Oh my god,
- 34:17Speaker 1: I get my lashes done and I feel like a
- 34:20Speaker 1: brand new fucking woman.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Great. That's my vocal stin for the next two years.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Thank you so much, Sarah, and thank you chicks.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Guts in your eels. We absolutely love to be here.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Can't wait to go put my lashes on fake tan
- 34:34Speaker 1: and then picture a bunch of people poeing.
- 34:36Speaker 2: We love you chicks.
- 34:37Speaker 1: Thank you' not t having in your ear holes and.
- 34:39Speaker 2: We'll catch you next time. See next time, chicky. Bye
- 34:42Speaker 2: bye
