- 0:00Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 0:03Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 0:07Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 0:11Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 0:15Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 0:19Speaker 1: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy nom the United States
- 0:23Speaker 1: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 0:28Speaker 1: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 0:31Speaker 1: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 0:35Speaker 1: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 0:39Speaker 1: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 0:43Speaker 1: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 0:46Speaker 1: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Do what's right. Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws,
- 0:55Speaker 1: border and families will be protected.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
- 1:00Speaker 3: So earned Alesia will be a part of this year's
- 1:03Speaker 3: All Star festivities with you guys collaboration. So we're gonna
- 1:09Speaker 3: be We're gonna be picking the All Star team, gonna
- 1:11Speaker 3: be drafting and it's actually gonna be the e YO team,
- 1:15Speaker 3: that's a fact. And then we're gonna be live stream
- 1:18Speaker 3: in the game.
- 1:18Speaker 4: It's gonna be good. You know, you played basketball your
- 1:20Speaker 4: whole life for sure. I don't think they know that.
- 1:23Speaker 4: So this is gonna be fun to sit down and
- 1:25Speaker 4: do a game.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Man, it's gonna be done. Yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 3: So yeah, let's talk about that. You know, who's whose
- 1:30Speaker 3: bright idea was that?
- 1:34Speaker 6: So the idea of the game is, you know, up next,
- 1:37Speaker 6: that's our best, you know, our brightest G League players
- 1:41Speaker 6: and you know, not All Star because it's only one
- 1:44Speaker 6: All Star game, right, Like.
- 1:46Speaker 5: They all want to be in the big All Star Game.
- 1:47Speaker 6: So that you know that the concept of that is
- 1:50Speaker 6: to be able to celebrate our G League players during
- 1:53Speaker 6: the All Star weekend. Bring them there and then you
- 1:56Speaker 6: know we did that last year. Now say, you know
- 1:58Speaker 6: our group, how can we like make it even you know,
- 2:05Speaker 6: something different, innovative, creative, And the idea there was okay,
- 2:09Speaker 6: let's let's you know, kind of partner with someone to say, okay,
- 2:15Speaker 6: you know you you have your own team, you know,
- 2:17Speaker 6: pick the team. So we break the teams up into
- 2:20Speaker 6: three three teams, four teams, Mark with Yeah, so will
- 2:25Speaker 6: break the teams up into four teams. One of the
- 2:27Speaker 6: teams will be the uy L team. You guys will
- 2:30Speaker 6: be able to pick your own team, and.
- 2:33Speaker 5: We're going to you know, the way the game will go.
- 2:36Speaker 6: We'll try to, you know, kind of make it too
- 2:38Speaker 6: ca is you know, where it's you know, faster pace
- 2:41Speaker 6: and kind of gamifyed. You know, you'll be able to
- 2:45Speaker 6: stream it on your platform, so streams, you know, you know,
- 2:48Speaker 6: distributed in different ways and just make it a different,
- 2:52Speaker 6: you know again, like a different experience of a game,
- 2:55Speaker 6: and get really get really creative and you know, you guys,
- 3:00Speaker 6: you know, being willing to be a part of that
- 3:01Speaker 6: is obviously huge, I'm telling us, and it's going to
- 3:05Speaker 6: be i think, you know again, empowering and a great,
- 3:09Speaker 6: great opportunity for our guys.
- 3:11Speaker 5: General managers. Yeah, I mean, I told, I told the guys.
- 3:15Speaker 5: I mean I've been watching.
- 3:16Speaker 4: I'm already watching the GD but now I'm even more
- 3:19Speaker 4: intently watching because I got a scout to see who's
- 3:22Speaker 4: gonna be on our team. Because we don't come to
- 3:24Speaker 4: just be part of things. We only participate because we're
- 3:28Speaker 4: coming to win everything. So we appreciate the opportunity to
- 3:31Speaker 4: come and win.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Yeah, but now I definitely appreciate it for sure. And
- 3:36Speaker 3: is it something that you know, you guys want to
- 3:39Speaker 3: do more of as far as you know, untraditional type
- 3:41Speaker 3: marketing reaching. We're in a different world now, right where
- 3:44Speaker 3: people are consuming content different It's not just a matter
- 3:47Speaker 3: of watching television, right, It's a matter of social media.
- 3:49Speaker 3: It's a matter of YouTube, it's a matter of podcast,
- 3:51Speaker 3: a variety of different things. So yeah, is that's something
- 3:55Speaker 3: that you know, you guys are embracing more on that
- 3:57Speaker 3: online social media marketing type of platform.
- 4:00Speaker 5: No doubt.
- 4:01Speaker 6: And and and we we have to you know, one
- 4:05Speaker 6: just know, like the younger fans that we want to reach,
- 4:08Speaker 6: and you know that we want connected to the g
- 4:12Speaker 6: League and to be able to introduce again like new fans,
- 4:16Speaker 6: younger fans that you know, we can even be the
- 4:18Speaker 6: first stop to them becoming NBA fans. And then that's
- 4:22Speaker 6: just again as a league, like when I talk about
- 4:24Speaker 6: testing rules and you know, introducing you know, new new
- 4:28Speaker 6: concepts to the game, that's you know, like League of Innovation,
- 4:32Speaker 6: that's what we want to be known as.
- 4:34Speaker 5: So I think this is even you know a further
- 4:36Speaker 5: step in that direction.
- 4:38Speaker 4: And so again this has taking place during All Star weeks.
- 4:41Speaker 4: So it's gonna be Indiana this year. Talk about things
- 4:44Speaker 4: that the time and that has happened, and get the details.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Everybody who wants to support can be there to will be.
- 4:52Speaker 6: We'll hold the game Sunday, so it's Sunday afternoon before
- 4:57Speaker 6: NBA All Star Game. It will be in the footprint
- 4:59Speaker 6: U it's what you called crossover, so like in the
- 5:03Speaker 6: footprint of the NBA activations going on. So if you're
- 5:08Speaker 6: add the NBA All Star like the All Star NBA
- 5:10Speaker 6: All Star Game tickets are really really hard to get,
- 5:13Speaker 6: a lot of people can't get those tickets. You can
- 5:15Speaker 6: get a ticket to the up next game. So come
- 5:17Speaker 6: to the up next game and cheer four you know,
- 5:21Speaker 6: the future stars of the NBA. How would they get
- 5:24Speaker 6: a ticket? Just NBA dot com, NBA dot Com.
- 5:28Speaker 3: That's part of the package of just not the All
- 5:31Speaker 3: Star Game, but like they have a package where you
- 5:32Speaker 3: could come to like the type thing and that's included
- 5:38Speaker 3: in that. Yes, okay, and yeah, this is exciting. Definitely
- 5:43Speaker 3: looking forward to it for sure. Before we leave, any
- 5:48Speaker 3: other initiatives that you guys are working on or what's
- 5:50Speaker 3: what's your vision for you know, making this league as
- 5:53Speaker 3: you know, big as possible.
- 5:56Speaker 6: Well, you know obviously we like I said, I think
- 5:59Speaker 6: that for a long time our goal was getting heavn.
- 6:03Speaker 4: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.

- 7:53Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 7:57Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member mel Salvador accused
- 8:01Speaker 1: of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with filming
- 8:05Speaker 1: and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just some
- 8:09Speaker 1: of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President Donald J.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States Secretary of
- 8:17Speaker 1: Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border crossings are
- 8:22Speaker 1: at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over one hundred
- 8:25Speaker 1: thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you are here illegally,
- 8:30Speaker 1: your next you will be fined nearly one thousand dollars
- 8:33Speaker 1: a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will never return. But
- 8:37Speaker 1: if you register using our CBP home app and leave now,
- 8:41Speaker 1: you could be allowed to return legally. Do what's right.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Leave now. Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families
- 8:50Speaker 1: will be protected.
- 8:51Speaker 2: Sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland.
- 8:53Speaker 6: Security, thirty G League teams, the NBA teams, so we're
- 8:55Speaker 6: really close to that. And then continue to create platforms
- 8:59Speaker 6: and oppert tun of these for our guys to grow
- 9:02Speaker 6: and grow on the court and off the court.
- 9:05Speaker 5: So you know, we again we you know, we.
- 9:07Speaker 6: Talked about ignite, But for all of our our players,
- 9:09Speaker 6: we offer them a continuing education program. We offer them
- 9:14Speaker 6: job shadow programs, we offer you know, entrepreneur programs where
- 9:20Speaker 6: they continue to learn. So just continue to put the
- 9:23Speaker 6: league in a place, put our players in a place
- 9:25Speaker 6: where they can continue to grow and learn.
- 9:28Speaker 3: How do you feel about the state of basketball right now?
- 9:30Speaker 3: A lot of people, you know, the Europeans there taken over.
- 9:36Speaker 3: It's an international game, and even how the game is
- 9:39Speaker 3: played it is more of a European style, the euro
- 9:41Speaker 3: step right, and people are playing the game more different.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Step on steph has changed the game as far as
- 9:47Speaker 3: shooting threes. Now everybody shoot threes. At twelve years old,
- 9:50Speaker 3: people come down from half court shoot threes. You're a
- 9:52Speaker 3: big man, but the big man is not really relevant
- 9:55Speaker 3: in today's game anymore. Seven foot is when beyond the
- 9:58Speaker 3: seven four and he's a guard pretty much. So the
- 10:01Speaker 3: game has changed a lot since the nineties and early
- 10:05Speaker 3: two thousands and the golden age of the NBA. How
- 10:07Speaker 3: people like to say, but I think it's I think
- 10:10Speaker 3: it's in a good space. What is your thoughts as
- 10:13Speaker 3: far as somebody that's actually played the game and you've
- 10:15Speaker 3: you've seen different stages of the game where we are now,
- 10:18Speaker 3: how you feel I think, I think the game is
- 10:20Speaker 3: is great, And I mean I even say that like
- 10:22Speaker 3: with a critical I'm not saying like I like every
- 10:25Speaker 3: you know, I would like a couple of more post touches.
- 10:29Speaker 3: But I think the game is I think the game
- 10:31Speaker 3: is great. I think the game is a global game,
- 10:33Speaker 3: you know. I think the idea that it has to
- 10:35Speaker 3: be you know, how many you know, Europeans or international players,
- 10:39Speaker 3: you know taking over the game. I just think like
- 10:42Speaker 3: good players, you know, find their way to the best
- 10:45Speaker 3: league in the world, like the NBA is the best
- 10:48Speaker 3: league in the world. I think styles, I think that evolves.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Like you know, I think right now it's a style
- 10:53Speaker 3: of kind of five man out and you know, pace
- 10:57Speaker 3: and you know, shooting a lot of perimeter shots. That's
- 11:00Speaker 3: you know, that's the style that teams are seeing success
- 11:02Speaker 3: with now.
- 11:03Speaker 6: I think that'll that will evolve. I don't know if
- 11:05Speaker 6: we'll ever go back to you know, when I had
- 11:07Speaker 6: to come play the Nicks in the Garden and like
- 11:09Speaker 6: it was like Oakley and Mason and charl Smith. I
- 11:12Speaker 6: don't know, we won't ever go back to that. But
- 11:14Speaker 6: you know, I think I think your game would have translated.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I think so I know your game, like I feel like, yeah,
- 11:22Speaker 4: there's a Tim Duncan, but your game wasn't really Tim Duncan.
- 11:25Speaker 4: You were almost like a face up for in a
- 11:27Speaker 4: sense where if you had to step back. I feel
- 11:30Speaker 4: like brook Lopez was a post up man that now
- 11:33Speaker 4: shoots more threes than anybody on outside of day.
- 11:35Speaker 6: You work on those like you're gonna like, I didn't
- 11:39Speaker 6: shoot a lot through, but I would have worked, you know,
- 11:41Speaker 6: in this era, I would have worked on it more.
- 11:43Speaker 6: I would have been more empowered to shoot them, you know,
- 11:45Speaker 6: the coaches would I would have felt better about Yeah.
- 11:48Speaker 6: So yeah, but I think like all of that comes
- 11:52Speaker 6: in and you know, kind of waves and I think
- 11:56Speaker 6: we'll see, you know, at some point, based on like
- 11:58Speaker 6: the talent and the type of players you see, you're
- 12:00Speaker 6: gonna see a different way the game is played.
- 12:03Speaker 4: I think there's another evolution that's happening, and maybe most
- 12:05Speaker 4: people are n't aware of his players that are now
- 12:08Speaker 4: in the exact position when we talk about you know,
- 12:10Speaker 4: we just sat down with Andre Goadala and now at
- 12:12Speaker 4: the NBA, NBA PA, Joe Dumars is here at the league.
- 12:15Speaker 4: You're here talk about that evolution of guys now stepping
- 12:19Speaker 4: in exact roles. You know, Adam Silver probably you know,
- 12:22Speaker 4: he won't be running the NBA forever, right, so now
- 12:25Speaker 4: we've got guys and training that a league that's dominated
- 12:28Speaker 4: by people looking like us can now be run by
- 12:30Speaker 4: people that.
- 12:30Speaker 5: Look at us.
- 12:31Speaker 6: I mean, I'll go even like beyond, like beyond then.
- 12:35Speaker 6: I think that's a nice thing where you see, you know,
- 12:39Speaker 6: I came up where you know, it was a Joe
- 12:41Speaker 6: Dumars running the team and a Billy Knight running the
- 12:44Speaker 6: team and Stuve Jackson. So like, you know, what we've
- 12:47Speaker 6: seen that like what we see now with guys that I
- 12:50Speaker 6: think that's really exciting is like they're like business prowess,
- 12:54Speaker 6: you know, like Lebron the things that he's done, you know,
- 12:57Speaker 6: off the court, like he's you know, arguably the best
- 13:00Speaker 6: player ever, right, you know I say that to respect.
- 13:05Speaker 6: You know, youpect you don't think he's the best. I
- 13:07Speaker 6: just always you know, like we didn't really get to
- 13:10Speaker 6: see Oscar. We didn't really get to see you know,
- 13:13Speaker 6: I saw Kareem, but we didn't really get to see career.
- 13:15Speaker 6: So I always think of it like I don't want to.
- 13:18Speaker 6: You know, my father he taught me that he's like,
- 13:20Speaker 6: you know, for the fathers.
- 13:22Speaker 5: Yeah, I don't came.
- 13:23Speaker 4: Into this league there was a man dominating. He wants
- 13:26Speaker 4: to be respectful of the people who think that that man.
- 13:28Speaker 5: Yes, that's so.
- 13:28Speaker 6: I mean, but the things that they're doing, uh, you
- 13:31Speaker 6: know what magic is done in ownership. You know, Michael
- 13:35Speaker 6: Jordan has done ownership that we haven't. You know, we
- 13:38Speaker 6: hadn't witnessed that before. I think seeing that in addition
- 13:42Speaker 6: to you have Andre leading the players union now and
- 13:47Speaker 6: you know guys you know, doing things in different executive role,
- 13:51Speaker 6: I think the combination of those two is really powerful.
- 13:55Speaker 1: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 13:58Speaker 1: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 14:02Speaker 1: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 14:07Speaker 1: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 14:11Speaker 1: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
