- 6:41its people and settled there. They renamed the town Dan after
- 6:46their ancestor. The homeland allocated to the

- 6:58among the tribes. The Israelites gave a piece of
- 7:01land to Joshua as his allocation, for the Lord had
- 7:05said he could have any town he wanted.
- 7:08He chose Timnath Sarah in the Hill Country of Ephraim.
- 7:13He rebuilt the town and lived there.
- 7:16These are the territories that Eliezer the priest Joshua son of
- 7:21Nun, and the tribal leaders allocated as grants of land to
- 7:25the tribes of Israel by casting sacred lots in the presence of
- 7:29the Lord at the entrance of the Tabernacle at Shiloh.
- 7:34So the division of the land was completed.
- 7:47Boy Lord, let it not be said that real estate is a godless
- 7:51industry because wow, you certainly know how to do.
- 7:55Your. Real estate divisions.
- 7:56And here we see you coming. Good on that promise that you
- 8:01made so long ago to their ancestor Abraham, that you would
- 8:05give his descendants land and here in all of that.
- 8:10Beautiful. Glorious detail from rivers to
- 8:14towns, marking the borders so that it would be known forever
- 8:18that that land, that tangible place measurable from corner to
- 8:23corner, was your gift to your people.
- 8:28And you have given us a promise that through Jesus sacrificial
- 8:33death and resurrection that we are forgiven people, and that
- 8:39through what Jesus has done we stand before you, wrapped in his
- 8:44perfection, so that when you look at us, you see your beloved
- 8:49children completely acceptable and perfect in your sight.
- 8:55Ah, thank you Father, for the gift of Jesus and all that you
- 8:59promise. And as we know, come good on
- 9:04your commitment to us in what he has done.
- 9:07So we stand before you, confident that what you have
- 9:10said is the truth. We love you.
- 9:15We are your grateful children, and we commit ourselves once
- 9:19again to holding onto our identity as one of your children
- 9:24as the access upon which our life moves.
- 9:28You are our wonderful God. We love you.
- 9:31And we pray all of this in the saving name of Jesus, Amen.
