- 0:20Speaker 1: We have boots on the ground all over the United
- 0:23Speaker 1: States of America. In La at the Wooden Award, in
- 0:26Speaker 1: Miami with Israel Goodie Eras, and in Baltimore me boots
- 0:30Speaker 1: on the ground. I wanted to make sure that Lamar
- 0:32Speaker 1: Jackson did indeed show up to the voluntary workout, and
- 0:37Speaker 1: I had to see it with my own eyes and
- 0:39Speaker 1: his he I am here to report that he did.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Wow with your size. I was actually doing some watching
- 0:49Speaker 3: of things going on in Maryland as well, because I
- 0:52Speaker 3: saw Maryland versus Northwestern lacrosse game was on some sort
- 0:55Speaker 3: of CBS network, and I said, why me see, Yeah,
- 0:59Speaker 3: let me see if I can find I was going
- 1:02Speaker 3: to say a wiener, but let me see if I
- 1:03Speaker 3: can find Steve Gotts in the crowd. And the crowd
- 1:06Speaker 3: wasn't that let's say impressive, but I still couldn't find
- 1:10Speaker 3: it because they didn't zoom in.
- 1:11Speaker 4: Well that's on Maryland.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I mean, you bring that game to Northwestern and there'll
- 1:14Speaker 1: be ten thousand fans out there cheering on the Northwestern Wildcat.
- 1:18Speaker 4: So if anything, that's on, uh, that's on Maryland.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Who claims they love lacrosse so much, yet when a
- 1:22Speaker 1: big game appears right in their backyard no one shows
- 1:25Speaker 1: up to it.
- 1:26Speaker 4: Go ahead, Mikey.
- 1:28Speaker 5: H Taylor.
- 1:29Speaker 6: The yesterday's show much better.
- 1:30Speaker 7: Right, Jess start of the show like, yeah, already, I
- 1:35Speaker 7: miss Sal.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, listen, you volunteered to talk. I didn't go
- 1:39Speaker 1: to you. You volunteered to talk. I know with Sally,
- 1:41Speaker 1: you didn't talk for the first six or seven minutes
- 1:43Speaker 1: of the show. I'm getting tired of Sally. I got
- 1:45Speaker 1: to be honest with you right now. And by the way,
- 1:46Speaker 1: I'm so tired of him. He joined us on the
- 1:48Speaker 1: podcast today.
- 1:50Speaker 3: I got a debrief.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, listen. I spoke to mikey a this morning.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Had a very important conversation. Things to discuss with my
- 2:00Speaker 1: friend because I trust him and because he cares about me.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And he started that conversation knowing it was an important conversation, saying, listen,
- 2:07Speaker 1: I think me Sal Taylor We've got a podcast.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Going to do.
- 2:18Speaker 3: What are we going to do?
- 2:19Speaker 4: Yeah? What am I going to do?
- 2:21Speaker 1: The Masters is going on right now. We're gonna have
- 2:23Speaker 1: melk kiper Junior joining us as well. But Israel Goudieires
- 2:29Speaker 1: was the judge at a poetry con contest recently.
- 2:33Speaker 4: Who'd you do it for?
- 2:34Speaker 8: Is he?
- 2:34Speaker 4: Who was it for?
- 2:36Speaker 3: It's a program called Louder Than a Bomb and it's
- 2:40Speaker 3: you know, poetry. It's high school and middle school kids
- 2:43Speaker 3: reading original poetry. Yeah, it's a lot of fun. In fact,
- 2:47Speaker 3: I'm doing another one, judging another one on Saturday.
- 2:49Speaker 1: All right, you're going to judge another one right now,
- 2:51Speaker 1: because we decided here on this show that it would
- 2:54Speaker 1: be a good idea for all of us to write
- 2:56Speaker 1: poems and for Israel Goudyeirez, who is an expert in poetry,
- 3:01Speaker 1: for him to judge these.
- 3:03Speaker 4: Are you good with that?
- 3:04Speaker 3: I'm so great with this, But I did not notice
- 3:07Speaker 3: was coming. I'm very excited about this. I will say
- 3:09Speaker 3: that I hope in tone that your poems are just
- 3:13Speaker 3: a little happier than some of these kids poems because
- 3:17Speaker 3: his high school in middle school, man, are.
- 3:21Speaker 4: They sad about stuff? So listen yesterday with Salikata.
- 3:25Speaker 1: He came out hot, you know, throwing some heat six
- 3:28Speaker 1: or seven minutes on dexter Lawrence. I think I can't
- 3:31Speaker 1: do six or seven minutes on anything. Yeah. So I'm
- 3:36Speaker 1: back here, and here we are doing poetry. I mean,
- 3:40Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
- 3:41Speaker 4: I don't know what to tell you. Let's go to
- 3:43Speaker 4: mikey A first.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I'm putting them in a bad spot here, but he
- 3:46Speaker 1: put me in a bad spot by bailing on me
- 3:48Speaker 1: and being, you know, falling in love with Sal. So,
- 3:50Speaker 1: mikey A, you're gonna go first. Everyone's gonna read their poems,
- 3:53Speaker 1: is he, and then you have to rank them. Okay,
- 3:55Speaker 1: that's what you have to do before we get to Melchiper.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Or you can snap.
- 4:01Speaker 4: That's what I was getting you.
- 4:02Speaker 1: There, And there could be a college basketball player pop
- 4:04Speaker 1: it up at any time. I have no idea. That's
- 4:06Speaker 1: what we do. That's how we roll what you got sal.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Let's go, mikey A. Mikey A, you are up first,
- 4:11Speaker 1: Go ahead, So confused.
- 4:13Speaker 5: My poem is entitled the worst team Ever?
- 4:17Speaker 4: Uh huh.
- 4:17Speaker 6: I root for a team that I wish I didn't.
- 4:20Speaker 6: I wasn't smart, a bad student. They cause me hurt.
- 4:24Speaker 6: They cause me pain, but I keep coming back like
- 4:27Speaker 6: I'm insane. My lofty goals are more simpler than they sound.
- 4:32Speaker 6: Just one time, I would love to be playoff bound.
- 4:35Speaker 6: I see players come, I see players go, Yet I
- 4:38Speaker 6: remain taking each painful blow. They win in Seattle, they
- 4:42Speaker 6: win in the Bay of Green, But a championship is
- 4:45Speaker 6: something I've never seen. I cried tears. They fill this space.
- 4:49Speaker 6: I hate Woody Johnson. I hate his stupid face. I
- 4:52Speaker 6: could blame my brother, I could blame Tom Brady, I
- 4:55Speaker 6: could even blame Stu Gotts. You know that guy is shady.
- 4:59Speaker 6: But in the end, I should accept my fate. Let
- 5:01Speaker 6: the losing cover me as I begin to suffocate. For
- 5:05Speaker 6: it is foretold that the only Jets that will win
- 5:08Speaker 6: a chip and tap that victory keg will come from
- 5:11Speaker 6: Canada and the little town of Winnipeg.
- 5:14Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 5:18Speaker 4: Snap, Snap, Snap, Snap. Is that what you do for poetry? Snap?
- 5:24Speaker 3: Well, if it's a good line in it, you can
- 5:25Speaker 3: snap during the good line.
- 5:28Speaker 9: Yet long Yet, however, my favorite part of it, and
- 5:37Speaker 9: this speeds to the length, is I could feel your pain.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I could definitely feel the emotions coming out.
- 5:43Speaker 5: I don't know how legal the music is.
- 5:45Speaker 3: But I think for the audience, I like the music,
- 5:47Speaker 3: that's fine. A little sing song ye, you know, little
- 5:50Speaker 3: sing song y, a little kind of Doctor seussish. But
- 5:53Speaker 3: over my only real complaints so far. The scoring system
- 5:56Speaker 3: is somewhere between like one and ten. Obviously, nobody's gonna
- 5:59Speaker 3: score like below a five, five or six. So I
- 6:01Speaker 3: give that a solid eight point one, okay, but you're
- 6:04Speaker 3: supposed to just rank him towards the end.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I didn't know you were going to turn into Simon
- 6:07Speaker 1: Cowell on us. I mean, this is this is a
- 6:10Speaker 1: judge eight snaps.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Golf claps kind of like snaps.
- 6:15Speaker 4: So it counts.
- 6:18Speaker 1: All right, let's go to boardot Ricardo, this is gonna
- 6:21Speaker 1: be great. He's gonna pry his eyes away from watching
- 6:24Speaker 1: baseball for a moment.
- 6:25Speaker 4: And read us a poem. Go ahead.
- 6:31Speaker 10: Though impressed with Lucas seventy three and seventy one points
- 6:35Speaker 10: by Dame, still not second place all time like bam
- 6:38Speaker 10: Adebio's eighty three point game. It wasn't disrespectful like the
- 6:43Speaker 10: Kobe Stans claim bam ade Bio's eighty three point game.
- 6:47Speaker 10: The national media called forty three free throws Corney and
- 6:51Speaker 10: said he should be ashamed in bam ade Bio's eighty
- 6:54Speaker 10: three point game, but as a heat fan in the
- 6:56Speaker 10: playing game, I wish to go back to the glory
- 6:59Speaker 10: and the fame of Bam out of Bio's eighty three
- 7:02Speaker 10: point game.
- 7:05Speaker 4: I mean, I'm gonna snap forever.
- 7:08Speaker 3: I was really good talk talk about a guy who
- 7:11Speaker 3: knew how to go after the judge's heart.
- 7:13Speaker 4: Right, I'm still snapping.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Very thankful that that was the topic, and normally the
- 7:18Speaker 3: topic itself really hits the judges. That one, to me,
- 7:21Speaker 3: couldn't have done any better. I wish maybe we could
- 7:26Speaker 3: have rhymed out of Bio with something. I feel like
- 7:28Speaker 3: that's a nice challenge. But overall, I love the tone,
- 7:31Speaker 3: I love the voice, I love the it was great.
- 7:33Speaker 3: The music was even better.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Wow.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Give that a solid eight point three?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Whoa, whoa wow Wow ahead of Mikey, I mean, too
- 7:42Speaker 1: tense of a point.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Let's go out for ninety five. I might have given
- 7:46Speaker 3: him nine five.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Let's go out to ep Jason in Sherman Oaks. He
- 7:52Speaker 1: has a poem here for Israel. Goody eras and I
- 7:55Speaker 1: understand why the guys want salback.
- 7:56Speaker 7: Go ahead, This poem is called not a mithy as
- 8:00Speaker 7: mikey a take that whoever you want. How to build
- 8:05Speaker 7: a farm. There once was a farm in Iowa purchased
- 8:09Speaker 7: by the NFL. Roger Goodell was tasked to make owners
- 8:13Speaker 7: lots of money, something he does very well. One day,
- 8:16Speaker 7: he asked, how do we quickly make lots of children
- 8:19Speaker 7: to tend to these chickens and pigs? Won't? Owner replied,
- 8:24Speaker 7: Tyreek Hill is unavailable. Let's get Stefan Diggs EXAs.
- 8:33Speaker 4: No one snapping.
- 8:34Speaker 3: I mean no, no, in large part because I had
- 8:37Speaker 3: no idea what the subject of that poem was.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I really don't know what you're about.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Yeah, totally. My interpretation was I don't know what that
- 8:47Speaker 3: was about. So I'm going to get that one a
- 8:49Speaker 3: seven point nine.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Wow, I mean I understood it. I would have given
- 8:53Speaker 1: it a nine point two. But that's you know, it's
- 8:55Speaker 1: Easy's judge, I'm.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Not thank you. Thanks, no swaying the judges. After you're done,
- 9:02Speaker 4: let's go to update anchor Ike. This is very exciting.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I am told update anchor Ike does indeed have a poem.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I don't know if I was Sam does, but someone
- 9:11Speaker 1: will have to convey that to me, and if he doesn't,
- 9:13Speaker 1: it's fine.
- 9:16Speaker 4: Go ahead, update anchor ike this one.
- 9:18Speaker 11: Also on the shorter side, there was once a coach
- 9:24Speaker 11: named Vrabel to beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl.
- 9:29Speaker 11: He was unable. He retreated to Sedona, where he was
- 9:34Speaker 11: allegedly not alone. But it's still better than if the
- 9:38Speaker 11: Pats had hired Brian Dable.
- 9:43Speaker 4: Jesus throw a dead fish on my lap?
- 9:46Speaker 1: Why don't you, I mean, my god, bars, bars, I'm
- 9:53Speaker 1: not going to talk about it.
- 9:54Speaker 3: The score six point.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Nine, all right, let's go. I am told that I
- 10:02Speaker 1: always send now tailors in a pickle. Because you know,
- 10:05Speaker 1: I haven't spoken about Diana Versiti yet.
- 10:07Speaker 12: People shaking about Yeah, we probably should have checked everybody's topic.
- 10:10Speaker 4: You should have prove fred them.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Listen, I'll tell you this on the front end of
- 10:14Speaker 1: any Diana Versini discussion I'm going to have. If the
- 10:17Speaker 1: athletic gets rid of her, she'll be sitting right next
- 10:19Speaker 1: to me. And is he doing the show? How does
- 10:21Speaker 1: that sound? Okay?
- 10:22Speaker 4: I support my friends.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I don't bail on my friends, especially at their worst
- 10:27Speaker 1: professional time in their history.
- 10:28Speaker 4: I don't do that to them.
- 10:29Speaker 3: Okay, I'm going to upgrade that to a seven point
- 10:31Speaker 3: zero because I'm just remembering rhyming Sedona with a loono.
- 10:36Speaker 13: Yeah it's a seven point oh, yes, it's a great
- 10:42Speaker 13: Do we have, I Sam, Yes, you do, we do.
- 10:44Speaker 13: He has a short one, he told me, and it
- 10:46Speaker 13: better be short short one.
- 10:47Speaker 8: Here.
- 10:47Speaker 3: Okay, guys, here go, let's get the music going again.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Roses are red, violets are blue.
- 10:54Speaker 14: I forgot to do a poem. I had another show
- 10:57Speaker 14: to do.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Ah, okay, this to God's is strong in you.
- 11:01Speaker 4: Conflict of interest, Diana Russidi.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I mean, this entire industry is littered with conflicts of interest.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Every single take that anyone makes is littered in conflict
- 11:10Speaker 1: of interest. I don't want to hear about it. I
- 11:13Speaker 1: spoke to her. Okay, she's going through a very difficult time.
- 11:17Speaker 1: She's going to survive this, and again, anyone who wants
- 11:19Speaker 1: to get rid of her I will hire her in
- 11:21Speaker 1: two seconds.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Let's go to Taylor Tailor. Go ahead. You are up
- 11:24Speaker 4: here for poetry, Dight. Yes, oh yeah, where's my score.
- 11:29Speaker 3: I'm a little conflicted as it is, because that is
- 11:33Speaker 3: not I don't know how snapworthy it was. But I
- 11:35Speaker 3: also I'm kind of a fan of the Roses a
- 11:37Speaker 3: red vehicle, so that one's going to get a seven
- 11:40Speaker 3: point one.
- 11:40Speaker 1: All right, we'll go I'll take it because I made
- 11:43Speaker 1: it up in about five scards thirty lines, and he
- 11:46Speaker 1: tried said, yeah, that's exactly right, Mikey.
- 11:52Speaker 4: I'll go ahead, Taylor.
- 11:54Speaker 12: I once saw a woman so striking and round, with
- 11:57Speaker 12: a bounce in her step and a sway so profound.
- 12:01Speaker 12: She walked through the park with a confident glide, turning
- 12:04Speaker 12: each head as she strolled side to side. My brain said,
- 12:08Speaker 12: just keep walking. My feet said no chance, as I
- 12:11Speaker 12: fumbled my way into an awkward advance. So I stood
- 12:15Speaker 12: there beside her a bundle of sweat, and somehow just asked,
- 12:19Speaker 12: how do you fit everything in those pants?
- 12:21Speaker 14: Missus?
- 12:21Speaker 4: Mett I'm slapping.
- 12:29Speaker 3: My initial thought was it better be relevant that this
- 12:33Speaker 3: woman was round, because nobody is gonna be I could
- 12:37Speaker 3: see that as a compliment. But once I realized who
- 12:40Speaker 3: you were speaking of, and it was about halfway through
- 12:42Speaker 3: when I heard whatever rhymes with met, I thought it
- 12:45Speaker 3: was stellar. I'm gonna go ahead and say, based on
- 12:48Speaker 3: subject matter, based on delivery and length, hmm, that's gonna
- 12:54Speaker 3: go eight point five.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Wow.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Wow, leader in the clubhouse, I believe right, Yes it
- 13:00Speaker 1: is that leaves me Yes, yep, all right. Mine is
- 13:06Speaker 1: short and sweet. Roses are red, violets are blue. I
- 13:12Speaker 1: love Salakata.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Don't you.
- 13:17Speaker 15: Missing God?
- 13:19Speaker 3: Missing by far the best subject matter of all. Thank you,
- 13:28Speaker 3: because sal is my man.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah, but it falls just.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Below Tailor's only because we already heard the roses are red.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Vehicle that gets an eight point four winner.
- 13:39Speaker 4: You said you like the most gator I did.
- 13:41Speaker 1: I did made a little quiz ten pages.
- 13:45Speaker 3: You could have said violets are slightly different colored, rhyming
- 13:48Speaker 3: something else than blue, you know, but hey, no shame.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Eight point four is a good score.
- 13:53Speaker 4: All right, Thank you Ike for doing that. I appreciate it.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Thank you to all of you.
- 13:58Speaker 3: That was my favorite portion of the show since it's inception.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Yes, wow, we finally catered to you. We did something
- 14:04Speaker 1: that you wanted to do, which is amazing because usually
- 14:07Speaker 1: we don't.

- 14:56Speaker 4: is well. I heard Ike say that he's running away
- 14:59Speaker 4: with it.
- 15:00Speaker 1: There's two and a half rounds to go in Augusta,
- 15:03Speaker 1: but he is two up right now, and it's interesting

- 15:07Speaker 1: I am at a legendary sports radio station here in Baltimore,
- 15:11Speaker 1: w b A L Yes, speaking of legendary ease, legendary
- 15:18Speaker 1: things in sports radio. A legendary host is he has
- 15:22Speaker 1: passed away a guy that I knew very well, a
- 15:26Speaker 1: host out of Atlanta. You will know who I'm talking
- 15:29Speaker 1: about once we play this sound for you, But this
- 15:32Speaker 1: is a tribute to and may he rest in peace.
- 15:34Speaker 4: He is a good man. But a tribute to the
- 15:37Speaker 4: one and only bobach Tims and Stone Mountain Tim.
- 15:41Speaker 5: How are you are we going.
- 15:41Speaker 16: To spend the whole preseason listening to you guys trying
- 15:45Speaker 16: to be dishonest and upseal doc? Who is Rodgers? And
- 15:49Speaker 16: Harry Douglass and parade Zieri? Oh we don't finally be honest,
- 15:52Speaker 16: and that is you're a Facon fan.
- 15:54Speaker 5: You know what.
- 15:55Speaker 16: I've been a fac fan in my whole life. I've
- 15:57Speaker 16: been in the city for.
- 15:58Speaker 17: No you haven't.
- 15:59Speaker 5: No, you haven't.
- 16:00Speaker 4: No, you haven't.
- 16:00Speaker 17: If you're been a Falcon fan your whole life, you
- 16:02Speaker 17: realize they were on the birds of something special for
- 16:06Speaker 17: three years.
- 16:07Speaker 5: Sir, you have not been paying attention. Harry dunnness is coming.
- 16:11Speaker 17: Up an injury a year before last. Last year was
- 16:15Speaker 17: his rehab year. He's going to be a dynamic receiver.
- 16:18Speaker 17: If not, come up here, and I'll give you one
- 16:21Speaker 17: hundred dollars. I mean, you don't know anything about what
- 16:24Speaker 17: you're talking about, and you have to pull up here.
- 16:27Speaker 17: I say, what do you say to me that we're
- 16:29Speaker 17: trying to upsell the Falcons to you. Sorry, you're not
- 16:32Speaker 17: a vlible fan. You haven't been, and if you have been,
- 16:35Speaker 17: you don't know what you're looking at.
- 16:37Speaker 16: Being a homer.
- 16:38Speaker 17: Bo was a homer.
- 16:41Speaker 5: Don't you ever call me a homer? Who the hell
- 16:43Speaker 5: do you think has.
- 16:44Speaker 17: Been saying the truth since nineteen seventy three Atlanta Radio?
- 16:49Speaker 5: Who takes New York?
- 16:55Speaker 3: What year was that? Do we know? When that call?
- 16:57Speaker 1: It doesn't matter. That's what sports radio is all about.
- 16:59Speaker 1: You're a homer. I'm not a homer. Let's talk over
- 17:02Speaker 1: each other. I love it.
- 17:03Speaker 5: So that is.
- 17:04Speaker 12: He was the twenty eleven preseason. To Bow's credit, the
- 17:11Speaker 12: Falcons went ten and six that season, and Harry Douglas
- 17:15Speaker 12: was fourth on the team in receiving.
- 17:16Speaker 14: Yards four hundred and ninety eight yards.
- 17:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, okay, he wasn't on the verge of
- 17:22Speaker 3: something special, but no, he did have a two thousand
- 17:25Speaker 3: yard season a couple of years later, and the Falcons
- 17:28Speaker 3: you know, they.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Were better, right, I mean, the man passed away.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Do you have to criticize every word that comes out
- 17:33Speaker 1: of his mouth?
- 17:34Speaker 4: Just picking apart? I mean, what are you doing?
- 17:36Speaker 3: Here, I'm literally giving him credit for what he said.
- 17:40Speaker 4: It doesn't feel like you're giving him credit.
- 17:42Speaker 1: They wanted to hear me right well, bull Box said
- 17:44Speaker 1: they were on the verge of something. You said they
- 17:46Speaker 1: weren't really on the verge of something. And when bow
- 17:48Speaker 1: Box says you're on the verge of something, you're on
- 17:50Speaker 1: the verge of something.
- 17:51Speaker 3: All right, I was talking about Harry Douglas.
- 17:52Speaker 4: But that's okay.
- 17:53Speaker 3: We can move. And the reason I asked for what
- 17:55Speaker 3: year it was is because I'm not gonna lie. I
- 17:58Speaker 3: didn't know how much longer he had after listening to that.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Yes, I'm surprised.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Six very impressive. Sad to hear, sad to hear.
- 18:08Speaker 1: I want to hear the sound one more time. Maybe
- 18:09Speaker 1: is he's right now I'm wrong one more time? Tims
- 18:14Speaker 1: and Stone Mountain. Tim, how are you are we going.
- 18:16Speaker 16: To spend the whole preseason listening to you guys trying
- 18:19Speaker 16: to be dishonest and upsel Doc Quiz Rodgers and Harry
- 18:23Speaker 16: Douglass and Paray Jery, or we're gonna finally be honest
- 18:27Speaker 16: and say, if you're a Facon fan, you're really you
- 18:29Speaker 16: know what I'm saying, I've been a Facon fan in
- 18:31Speaker 16: my whole life. I've been in this city for.
- 18:33Speaker 5: No, you haven't. No, you haven't.
- 18:34Speaker 17: No, you haven't if you're a Falcon fan your whole
- 18:36Speaker 17: life in real life, they were on the birds of
- 18:38Speaker 17: something special in.
- 18:39Speaker 16: The city for forty three years.
- 18:41Speaker 5: All sir, you have not been paying attention.
- 18:44Speaker 17: Harrold is coming up an injury a year before last.
- 18:49Speaker 17: Last year was his rehab year. He's going to be
- 18:51Speaker 17: a dynamic receiver. If not, come up here and I'll
- 18:55Speaker 17: give you one hundred dollars, Harry.
- 18:57Speaker 5: I mean, you don't know anything about what you're talking.
- 19:00Speaker 5: You have to pull up.
- 19:01Speaker 17: Here say to me that we're trying to upsell the
- 19:05Speaker 17: Falcons to you.
- 19:06Speaker 5: Sorry, you're not a falc fan. You haven't been, and
- 19:09Speaker 5: if you have been, you don't know what You're looking at.
- 19:12Speaker 16: Me at a Homer.
- 19:15Speaker 17: Homer.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Don't you ever call me a Homer? Hold the hell?
- 19:18Speaker 17: Your thing has been training the truth since nineteen seventy three,
- 19:22Speaker 17: hunted landa radio.
- 19:23Speaker 12: Who boy, that takes me off, Stu sticking to our
- 19:30Speaker 12: connections to the NFC South. Yeah, our good friend t
- 19:35Speaker 12: Bob A Bear was hosting Wake Up barstool. Yeah, and
- 19:39Speaker 12: he was kind of wearing some short shorts. The sun
- 19:43Speaker 12: must be out in Chicago because he was kind of
- 19:45Speaker 12: letting his legs show off. And then maybe the most
- 19:48Speaker 12: surprising tweet I've ever seen, really, Little Wayne tweeted, why Bob?
- 19:55Speaker 12: Little Wayne tweeted, T Bob, put your laid down Maine.
- 20:00Speaker 12: You can't sit like that in them nasty Daisy Dukes
- 20:03Speaker 12: king what we doing? Shout out Bobby A Bear, New
- 20:06Speaker 12: Orleans legend.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, I love that so much. I think
- 20:16Speaker 3: Lil Wayne should be like sports, television, fashion or media
- 20:21Speaker 3: whatever judge of all time because it's so true. I
- 20:25Speaker 3: don't mind the shorts. You can't be crossing your legs
- 20:28Speaker 3: with the shorts that short. Then it gives a little
- 20:30Speaker 3: too much away.
- 20:31Speaker 12: How surprised do you think t Bob was when he
- 20:33Speaker 12: looked down at his phone and was like, is this
- 20:35Speaker 12: the real Little Wayne tweeting at me?
- 20:37Speaker 4: Yeah? Shocked?
- 20:38Speaker 1: How surprised were you is he? How well Taylor read
- 20:40Speaker 1: the tweet from Lil Wayne?
- 20:42Speaker 3: I mean, I'm sure he's been studying that tweet. That
- 20:45Speaker 3: is also around the Horn alumnus, by the way, So
- 20:48Speaker 3: that's why we feel that connection talking about Lil Wayne
- 20:50Speaker 3: that way.
- 20:51Speaker 4: Yes, ad Nan Verk is and is he you were

- 21:24Speaker 1: I have boots on the ground. I had to make
- 21:25Speaker 1: sure that Lamar Jackson did indeed show up the voluntary workouts,
- 21:29Speaker 1: and he did so.
- 21:30Speaker 4: I have confirmed that. But I have a problem.
- 21:33Speaker 1: Sal was in yesterday and mikey A greeted me this

- 21:46Speaker 1: paying attention Tailor and mikey A. They just want Salacotta back.
- 21:50Speaker 1: And I don't know what to do with them.
- 21:52Speaker 8: I mean.
- 21:53Speaker 15: So many thoughts hers, dude.
- 21:55Speaker 18: First off, I love the show before the show. It
- 21:57Speaker 18: reminds me that great line of swingers the guy behind
- 21:59Speaker 18: the Guy, which a friend of mine happened like this
- 22:02Speaker 18: Mson Messenger name. It was like what kind of double
- 22:05Speaker 18: on Todder's sexual end of it saying no the guy
- 22:07Speaker 18: behind the guy?
- 22:08Speaker 15: What no, no.
- 22:10Speaker 5: No, no, it's not that.
- 22:10Speaker 15: It's a lot from swingers.
- 22:12Speaker 18: I love that expression, just to show before the show
- 22:14Speaker 18: the guy behind the guy.
- 22:15Speaker 15: I also like in sports. I did this last night.
- 22:17Speaker 15: I think this is one of the most silliest things.
- 22:20Speaker 15: People say, that's a real goal scorers goal. What does
- 22:23Speaker 15: that mean?
- 22:23Speaker 16: But that.
- 22:25Speaker 5: What does that mean?
- 22:27Speaker 18: It's a real goal scorers goal. No, he took the punk,
- 22:29Speaker 18: he shot it, he scored. What makes that better than
- 22:31Speaker 18: anybody else? There's no goal scorers goal.
- 22:33Speaker 15: They'll get points for fans and just just shoot the
- 22:35Speaker 15: bucking of it. To your point about.
- 22:36Speaker 18: Salakata, having filled it many times at ESPN Radio, I
- 22:40Speaker 18: know what it's like when you're the backup quarterback. I
- 22:41Speaker 18: probably know as well as anybody. I've never had my
- 22:43Speaker 18: own show, but I've been the fill in for Mike
- 22:45Speaker 18: and Mike, and for you for Levotard Show, for Rossilo,
- 22:48Speaker 18: et cetera. It's a great feeling to have because everyone's
- 22:51Speaker 18: happy to see you.
- 22:52Speaker 15: You're coming to go ahead, there's a right.
- 22:56Speaker 5: Movies Canada. Let's go right.
- 22:58Speaker 15: You do it for three hours. That's it.
- 22:59Speaker 18: And I'll tell you, in all honesty when people have
- 23:02Speaker 18: said you, wouldn't you like to have your own show?
- 23:04Speaker 15: And I go, of course I would.
- 23:05Speaker 18: We were all ego maybe the actually narcissists, and quite frankly,
- 23:07Speaker 18: I want the money. But more than anything, I don't
- 23:09Speaker 18: know how effective i'd be. I go, I think I
- 23:11Speaker 18: am terrific off the bench, I go. I will give
- 23:13Speaker 18: you energy in a spark, but five days a week.
- 23:16Speaker 18: I'm not to gods, I'm not iusy, I'm not anybody.
- 23:18Speaker 15: So listen, tell sal phenomenal job.
- 23:21Speaker 18: Congrats you come in here, find these weeks, sit in
- 23:23Speaker 18: my shoes, see how it goes.
- 23:24Speaker 15: Then mikey A and tail them not to say.
- 23:26Speaker 4: The same thing they got.
- 23:27Speaker 3: TJ McConnell over here.
- 23:30Speaker 15: Exactly years a work. Well, he can't hold down a
- 23:35Speaker 15: full time job. Quite frankly, seemile doesn't make any sense.
- 23:38Speaker 15: But he's great. For fifteen minutes you put up on
- 23:40Speaker 15: ed he's fifteen minutes. This guy's great.
- 23:42Speaker 19: Ad Nan, you should be on my side here because
- 23:45Speaker 19: I I can spot talent coming off the bench, and
- 23:48Speaker 19: I believe I did so with one certain ad Nan
- 23:51Speaker 19: Verk filling in for Darynoka years yack, and I was like,
- 23:55Speaker 19: you know what, this guy, ad Nan, he's got something
- 23:57Speaker 19: getting more reps.
- 23:58Speaker 18: I will always be fond of my man, my age. True,
- 24:00Speaker 18: but there's one thing you have in life. You have
- 24:02Speaker 18: a fond memory of those that were nice to you
- 24:05Speaker 18: when you were nobody, which Mikey was to me. I'm
- 24:07Speaker 18: just some guy at HISPN News.
- 24:08Speaker 15: You're filling in.
- 24:09Speaker 18: I think I did a couple of times filling in
- 24:11Speaker 18: for Gottli, even that it was me and Mikey, and
- 24:12Speaker 18: of course our man Dan Stanzick ad him Klube back
- 24:15Speaker 18: in the day, and then eventually it was me and Mikey.
- 24:17Speaker 15: How about this?
- 24:19Speaker 18: People ask you, what was it about ESPN Radio? I
- 24:21Speaker 18: go again, how much clearer can I make this? The
- 24:22Speaker 18: money once I entered it was extra money. I go
- 24:25Speaker 18: on a hundred bucks anari.
- 24:25Speaker 15: It is like, oh my god, I've got a second
- 24:28Speaker 15: child on the way. I'm like, I've been a hundred
- 24:30Speaker 15: I'll let repeat that, one hundred dollars in hours. What
- 24:32Speaker 15: you're paying for this? And you want me to talk
- 24:34Speaker 15: sports radio? I go, okay, I'm plainly lying, guys. I'm
- 24:37Speaker 15: telling Scott Masto. I go, I've done radio for years
- 24:39Speaker 15: in Toronto.
- 24:39Speaker 18: Really who he goes, Nelson Melman. I go, yeah, yeah, sure,
- 24:43Speaker 18: I worked it in the bunch. It's okay, look at
- 24:45Speaker 18: my references.
- 24:46Speaker 8: I can do it.
- 24:47Speaker 18: And so I would show up me and mikey A
- 24:49Speaker 18: and John stash Hour Saturday morning seven to ten am.
- 24:52Speaker 18: What a plush time slot. And everyone's like, oh my god,
- 24:55Speaker 18: who's listening to that? I go, hey, buddy, I drove.
- 24:56Speaker 15: In twenty minutes. I drove home three hundred bucks, Richard,
- 24:59Speaker 15: I don't care.
- 24:59Speaker 18: What happened today. I'll just talk and talk and talk
- 25:02Speaker 18: three hundred bones and talk sports. Me and Mike Kate
- 25:05Speaker 18: riding shotgut.
- 25:05Speaker 15: It's the best.
- 25:06Speaker 4: And you got to work with a legendary update anchor.
- 25:09Speaker 18: I mean, so this is a great point. That's a
- 25:12Speaker 18: question of the floor. Steve Levy sent me one to me.
- 25:14Speaker 18: This John stash Hour is the greatest update guy in
- 25:16Speaker 18: the history of sports.
- 25:18Speaker 15: I said, wow, it's a hell of complies.
- 25:19Speaker 18: Said yeah. I brought it up to Levy years later
- 25:21Speaker 18: to Stash had left, and Stash was a great guy.
- 25:23Speaker 15: We got along well, I said, Levy, he.
- 25:24Speaker 14: Goes well, I go what he goes.
- 25:26Speaker 18: It's a true statement, but it's both a compliment and
- 25:28Speaker 18: a denigration.
- 25:29Speaker 15: I go on me because all the compliments.
- 25:32Speaker 18: He is absolutely the greatest update sports media guy ever
- 25:35Speaker 18: because he was awesome at just ripping and reading scores
- 25:37Speaker 18: and highlights. But at some point you want to graduate
- 25:40Speaker 18: beyond that. So it's to be an insult saying he's limited.
- 25:43Speaker 18: I said, I don't care if I would take it
- 25:44Speaker 18: as a compliments. I said, to me, he's the best
- 25:46Speaker 18: ever at this showing up for twelve minutes on a Friday,
- 25:49Speaker 18: and ste got to show him like, okay, I'm the
- 25:50Speaker 18: best ever at that one thing.
- 25:51Speaker 4: I'll take them the bank.
- 25:52Speaker 3: It's like when people tried to give me compliments as
- 25:54Speaker 3: a sideline reporter, I'm like, yeah, okay, whatever, always a game.
- 26:00Speaker 3: It's there are harder things in the world, or a
- 26:04Speaker 3: good point, but is.
- 26:05Speaker 15: He you're right with silent reporting. It's all those things.
- 26:07Speaker 18: Yes, you can muck it up easily, and then that's
- 26:09Speaker 18: the competent to just keep it straightforward, open ended questions,
- 26:13Speaker 18: lean neutral, getting get out because amount people who screw
- 26:15Speaker 18: that up, unlike yourself.
- 26:17Speaker 15: That's why it's a complished don't.
- 26:19Speaker 3: You mean you can only screw it? Just keep it on.
- 26:21Speaker 1: Yes, And by the way, John Mako is the greatest
- 26:24Speaker 1: update anchor of all time to make man, I mean,
- 26:26Speaker 1: come on, what are we doing here?
- 26:28Speaker 15: What someone someone said, I'll give it to you. If
- 26:31Speaker 15: someone said you studio the greatest.
- 26:32Speaker 18: Psyekic of all time, offend it or like, would you
- 26:35Speaker 18: take as a complished No, I'll take it as a compliment.
- 26:38Speaker 4: I took it as a compliment all the way to
- 26:39Speaker 4: the bank. I mean, you're kidding me.
- 26:42Speaker 3: That's a more difficult job.
- 26:45Speaker 5: I wrote that.
- 26:45Speaker 15: Sucker for twenty years. All right, it worked out.
- 26:48Speaker 16: Well.
- 26:48Speaker 4: What are you saying? Is he that particular kind of
- 26:50Speaker 4: sidekick is a is a difficult job?
- 26:52Speaker 10: Right?
- 26:53Speaker 1: Like sidekicks in general not difficult, but being dan sidekick
- 26:56Speaker 1: is a whole different animal.
- 26:59Speaker 4: Is that what you're saying?
- 27:00Speaker 15: Great question? Is a sidekick? Like if I should do
- 27:02Speaker 15: Andy Richter? Do you respect Andy Richter?
- 27:04Speaker 12: You go.
- 27:05Speaker 3: It's just got his own sitcom. I don't know how
- 27:08Speaker 3: long it lasted, but.
- 27:09Speaker 15: Indy Richter saves the universe.
- 27:11Speaker 18: Yes, I think a sidekick is harder than you realize,
- 27:13Speaker 18: and specifically pursue ricking with Dan for twenty plus years.
- 27:16Speaker 15: That there's a lot going on.
- 27:17Speaker 3: And what did Ed McMahon make out of his sidekick job?
- 27:20Speaker 5: Was it star Search?
- 27:21Speaker 3: Was that for the peak of him?
- 27:23Speaker 16: Yeah?
- 27:23Speaker 15: It was also one of the endorsements tailor Mike Key.
- 27:25Speaker 15: You can look it up for me. I can't real
- 27:27Speaker 15: the him it now. It's not publishing clearing House's one
- 27:29Speaker 15: of those types of things.
- 27:30Speaker 18: If we do voiceovers and that kind of crap on
- 27:32Speaker 18: the side millions lucrative.
- 27:34Speaker 4: We'll get to a fair or foul in just a
- 27:36Speaker 4: second here.
- 27:37Speaker 1: But speaking of sports radio and icons in the industry,
- 27:40Speaker 1: we lost one today.
- 27:41Speaker 4: Bobach and I.
- 27:42Speaker 1: Want to play this sound for you because I believe
- 27:44Speaker 1: that this is what sports radio is all about. If
- 27:46Speaker 1: you looked up sports radio in the dictionary, you would
- 27:49Speaker 1: what you would find is this take from bobach Tim's
- 27:53Speaker 1: and Stone Mountain Tim.
- 27:54Speaker 16: How are you are we going to spend the whole
- 27:56Speaker 16: preseason listening to you guys trying to be dishonest, Cel
- 28:01Speaker 16: Doc Quiz Rodgers and Harry Douglass and Gray Jeri or
- 28:04Speaker 16: we gonna finally be honist and said, if you're a
- 28:06Speaker 16: Facon fan, you're really you know what, I've been a
- 28:09Speaker 16: Facon fan in my whole life. I've been in the
- 28:11Speaker 16: city for.
- 28:11Speaker 17: No, you haven't.
- 28:12Speaker 5: No, you haven't. No, you haven't.
- 28:13Speaker 17: If you're been a Falcon fan your whole life in
- 28:15Speaker 17: real life, they were on the birds of something special
- 28:18Speaker 17: in the.
- 28:18Speaker 5: City for forty three years, you have not been paying attention.
- 28:23Speaker 17: Harry Dunnomy is coming up an injury a year before last.
- 28:27Speaker 5: Last year was his rehab year. He's going to be
- 28:30Speaker 5: a dynamic receiver. If not, come up here and I'll
- 28:34Speaker 5: give you one hundred dollars, Harry. I mean, you don't
- 28:36Speaker 5: know when you think about what you're talking about. You
- 28:39Speaker 5: have to know.
- 28:40Speaker 17: Roll up here, say you say to me that we're
- 28:42Speaker 17: trying to upsell the Falcony to you, sir, you're not
- 28:45Speaker 17: a Valm fan. You haven't been, and if you have been,
- 28:49Speaker 17: you don't know what you're looking at.
- 28:50Speaker 16: Be a homer bot.
- 28:53Speaker 17: It was a homer Don't you ever call me a homer,
- 28:56Speaker 17: Who the hell your think has been training the truth
- 28:59Speaker 17: since ninety three?
- 29:01Speaker 5: Atlanta Radio?
- 29:02Speaker 4: Who rip ding ding ding?
- 29:13Speaker 15: That's great, that's great?
- 29:14Speaker 4: It is is I love listen?
- 29:16Speaker 1: That's the highest sports radio telling a man who's lived
- 29:18Speaker 1: in Atlanta his whole life that he hasn't.
- 29:24Speaker 15: Right, it's a very.
- 29:25Speaker 18: Insun You don't know what you're talking about in this case,
- 29:27Speaker 18: but it's actually not true.
- 29:28Speaker 15: Like, no, I lived here. You know what you're talking about.
- 29:30Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 29:32Speaker 15: You're an idiot.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Seventy three that's a long time to be fair to
- 29:39Speaker 3: one hundred dollars is a lot more in twenty eleven,
- 29:41Speaker 3: is no, you're right?
- 29:42Speaker 1: Yes, But I love that as a like, just as
- 29:44Speaker 1: a microcosm of sports radio. A guy who moved down
- 29:48Speaker 1: there from New York to Atlanta telling a guy who's
- 29:50Speaker 1: lived there his entire life you haven't.
- 29:52Speaker 4: I mean, it's unbelievable. It's amazing. Let's get to a
- 29:56Speaker 4: fair foul right now, Taylor taken away. We need the music, please, so.
- 30:02Speaker 14: Fair foul rong music. Sam, it's the baseball instrumental one.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Wow, he knew that.
- 30:07Speaker 3: On one note.
- 30:08Speaker 4: The media knows he knows the songs.
- 30:11Speaker 12: Yes, the Baseball Oregon one right, three BIS, and then
- 30:16Speaker 12: fair or foul.
- 30:18Speaker 14: The Pittsburgh Pirates might actually be pretty good.
- 30:22Speaker 15: Let's go fair tailor what the hell?
- 30:24Speaker 18: Man?
- 30:24Speaker 16: I mean?
- 30:24Speaker 15: This is a good time right now to be a
- 30:25Speaker 15: Pittsburgh Pirates fan.
- 30:27Speaker 18: Connor Griffin signs a nine year, one hundred and forty
- 30:29Speaker 18: million dollar contract.
- 30:30Speaker 15: Everyone says he's the greatest thing since slice bread. His
- 30:32Speaker 15: slice Bread really the greatest thing ever? Wins another debate.
- 30:34Speaker 18: But this kid looks like a real special talent six
- 30:37Speaker 18: four two twenty two, can hit for days, obviously a
- 30:39Speaker 18: ton of power and athleticism. And you got Paul Skins
- 30:42Speaker 18: for four more years. And I said this at the
- 30:43Speaker 18: start of the season. But their pitching staff beyond Skemes
- 30:46Speaker 18: is still pretty good. Jared Jones will be back mid season.
- 30:49Speaker 18: Mitch Keller Ashcraft I think is really good. You say
- 30:52Speaker 18: to yourself, you know what, if they can score four
- 30:53Speaker 18: runs a game, they'll be competitive. So just get to
- 30:56Speaker 18: five hundred. A year ago the Reds with eighty three
- 30:58Speaker 18: wins that made the playoffs. The Pirates by virtue even
- 31:01Speaker 18: being a five hundred team, you could be in the
- 31:02Speaker 18: mix for a playoff spot. Imagine playoff baseball in Pittsburgh.
- 31:05Speaker 15: It feels like the Pirates are having a moment right now.
- 31:08Speaker 15: It's a moment.
- 31:08Speaker 18: It's good time to be a pirate. I would say
- 31:10Speaker 18: pirates potentially, Yes, fair, they're.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Good prea Chadman. If I never had to slice bread,
- 31:16Speaker 3: I would live a perfectly normal life.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Yeah, I tail, I don't on the pole. Is sliced
- 31:20Speaker 4: bread the greatest thing? Yes?
- 31:22Speaker 7: Or no?
- 31:24Speaker 15: Like, how did this respression first comet? Who was the
- 31:26Speaker 15: guy that was like, Oh my god, I just I
- 31:28Speaker 15: can't take the giant loan. I don't know how much
- 31:30Speaker 15: to have those portion control issues here.
- 31:32Speaker 18: I got the idea, we're gonna take this and we're
- 31:34Speaker 18: gonna cut to sucker up wonderbread for days, Like, oh
- 31:37Speaker 18: my god, this is the grassticks and sliced bread.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Get this man, metal, I tell it.
- 31:44Speaker 12: Col Rawley season last year might have been a fluke
- 31:48Speaker 12: fair foul.
- 31:49Speaker 18: Oh jeez, I'll walk right into it. Yeah, absolutely, it's fairs.
- 31:53Speaker 18: He's a bomb. He's completely overrated. Sixty home run season
- 31:56Speaker 18: was a joke. Listen, cal Rawley in his career prior
- 31:59Speaker 18: to last season was what a guy would hit you?
- 32:01Speaker 18: Thirty seven three at home runs in about two ten.
- 32:03Speaker 18: So he has this one year where he was unbelievable
- 32:06Speaker 18: sixty home runs. Store prayer for catchers. So for this
- 32:08Speaker 18: year has been awful. Him, Julio Rondriguez, and Josh Neil,
- 32:11Speaker 18: which hurts me, fellow Canadian have all been struggling mightily. Now,
- 32:14Speaker 18: Raleigh last year didn't get rolling until later in the year.
- 32:17Speaker 18: But what the hell, sure he's overrated. He's not gonna
- 32:19Speaker 18: hit forty home runs this season, Cayle rally do for
- 32:21Speaker 18: a stinker.
- 32:23Speaker 12: Joe Adell's three home run robbery game was the best
- 32:27Speaker 12: thing you've ever seen in a baseball game.
- 32:29Speaker 4: Fair foul, I mean, come.
- 32:30Speaker 15: On, absolutely fair.
- 32:32Speaker 18: And sometimes you fall in love with the guy just
- 32:34Speaker 18: because of his name. So going back to my years
- 32:36Speaker 18: on Sports Center, of course, you know, inspired by Boomer
- 32:39Speaker 18: and Oberman and all these guys.
- 32:40Speaker 15: You know a couple of these nicknames and playoff words.
- 32:42Speaker 18: So the first time I saw Joe Adell, I said, Hello,
- 32:45Speaker 18: it's me, right the Adell saw every time I wish
- 32:48Speaker 18: they could deliver it like Boom, But every time I
- 32:49Speaker 18: said Joe.
- 32:49Speaker 15: Adell, Hello, it's me. And the key for me is
- 32:52Speaker 15: when you deliver the line is you say it straight right,
- 32:54Speaker 15: you don't.
- 32:55Speaker 18: You don't infer what you're saying. I don't say what
- 32:57Speaker 18: the reference is. You said, Joe Adell, Hello, it's me,
- 32:59Speaker 18: and then it's fine. And if somebody gets in thinking
- 33:01Speaker 18: that if the don't get it's fine.
- 33:03Speaker 15: This reminds me of Carmel and Anthony. You stilways. See
- 33:05Speaker 15: you had me at Mellow and someone's like, what is that?
- 33:07Speaker 15: I go, Jerey MacGuire, you.
- 33:08Speaker 8: Had me at Hello.
- 33:09Speaker 15: He goes, yeah, but that lines you had me at Hello, Mike. Yeah,
- 33:11Speaker 15: he goes, you had me at Melow's.
- 33:13Speaker 18: Well. I don't want to say if you had me
- 33:14Speaker 18: at below, because that doesn't make any sense.
- 33:17Speaker 15: You had me at Mellow, and it's posted up to
- 33:19Speaker 15: you have me at Hell, and you go, okay, Jeam McGuire,
- 33:20Speaker 15: I got it.
- 33:21Speaker 18: Anyways, I've been using it for years and Joe Dell,
- 33:23Speaker 18: for the first few respirits stunk.
- 33:25Speaker 15: Every year.
- 33:26Speaker 18: He was terrible, and I go, can this guy start hitting?
- 33:28Speaker 18: I go, I'm spending gold here. Joe Dell's not even
- 33:30Speaker 18: the highlights. So work with Dan, please sect one night
- 33:32Speaker 18: and every chance.
- 33:33Speaker 15: I got you a big game. Joe Adell, Hello is me,
- 33:36Speaker 15: Joe Adell, Hello, it's me. I'm hitting it hard. Please
- 33:39Speaker 15: take me. He's driving home and he goes Now he's
- 33:45Speaker 15: at times it's an idiot. Every time I see dam
- 33:48Speaker 15: please like he brings it up. So anything involving joy Deell,
- 33:51Speaker 15: I'm thrilled about. Whether it's Homeland robberies. Just get the highlights, kid,
- 33:54Speaker 15: he's great, A.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Few years late from being a golden joke.
- 33:59Speaker 15: Exactly.
- 34:00Speaker 12: I have one more ad Nan Fairer foul. It's fair
- 34:05Speaker 12: to criticize the Mets because the vibes on their team
- 34:08Speaker 12: seem pretty terrible.
- 34:10Speaker 4: Oh good, no foul.
- 34:12Speaker 15: I'm pro Mets.
- 34:13Speaker 8: Listen.
- 34:13Speaker 18: Maybe it's just because the fact that I live in
- 34:14Speaker 18: Jersey now I'm surrounded by Yankees and Mets fans. But no,
- 34:16Speaker 18: I love Studs guys, plucky underdogs. Boba Schets only hitting
- 34:20Speaker 18: two twenty two, that's okay, Louise robertsiell that they dropped
- 34:23Speaker 18: a fly ball wasn't great. A home run yesterday, though,
- 34:26Speaker 18: I will, I will call foul on that. I still
- 34:28Speaker 18: like this Mets team. Soto's out right now, but plenty
- 34:30Speaker 18: of time. That division is a little, you know, a
- 34:32Speaker 18: little more open than he might think it's not. Just
- 34:34Speaker 18: like the Phillies are going to run and hide some
- 34:36Speaker 18: bad vibes here and there. But Stevie Cohen's bunny will
- 34:38Speaker 18: be Okay, it's been cold here in New York. Okay,
- 34:40Speaker 18: it blums up a little bit.
- 34:41Speaker 15: Mets will be okay. I'm calling foul on that one.
- 34:43Speaker 4: Ad Man.
- 34:43Speaker 3: Last time we talked, we talked about the idea of
- 34:45Speaker 3: eventually keeping the umpire, but balls and strike is completely
- 34:48Speaker 3: out of his hands. I think that's getting closer and
- 34:51Speaker 3: closer because some of these challenge calls. There was one
- 34:54Speaker 3: right down the middle that was called the ball, and
- 34:55Speaker 3: it's just like, all right, you guys are embarrassing yourselves easier.
- 34:58Speaker 15: It minds me.
- 34:59Speaker 18: You know, I'm coaching my son in baseball and you're
- 35:01Speaker 18: throwing VP and everyone just assumes, because you're an adult,
- 35:03Speaker 18: you know what you're doing.
- 35:04Speaker 15: But once in a while, throwers get a little walk
- 35:06Speaker 15: and they kind of give you like what does this
- 35:07Speaker 15: guy doing? Like how can you answer a groove a ball?
- 35:08Speaker 7: No?
- 35:08Speaker 3: I know, I know.
- 35:09Speaker 15: Similarly with an umpire, you're like, how hard could this be?
- 35:12Speaker 5: This is a ball?
- 35:12Speaker 15: This is a strike? Like I mean, you think it's
- 35:14Speaker 15: a hard job.
- 35:15Speaker 18: Like, Bro, you had enough years of training and practicing,
- 35:17Speaker 18: you should be good at your job. I can imagine
- 35:19Speaker 18: some of these guys are going home just like I am.
- 35:20Speaker 18: After a bad day at VP, thirteen kids on the team.
- 35:23Speaker 18: I threw ten picks to each kid.
- 35:24Speaker 4: I'm my band.
- 35:24Speaker 15: I gotta go ice of the arm. Some of these
- 35:26Speaker 15: umps are going home popping a few excentrics, going hey,
- 35:28Speaker 15: is this the right job for me? Like I am
- 35:29Speaker 15: getting shown up here at.
- 35:30Speaker 18: Time and time again, and think of how much easier
- 35:32Speaker 18: umpires have the past. You blew a call, nobody had
- 35:35Speaker 18: any idea. Everybody respected authority back then. You respected the
- 35:38Speaker 18: president for god six twelve. He's an umpire.
- 35:40Speaker 15: Clearly he's wearing a uniform. He has a pitch counter
- 35:42Speaker 15: this guy, so he has to be valued in our society.
- 35:45Speaker 15: Now this is a back on. You tapped your head.
- 35:47Speaker 15: You just tapped your head. He's wrong. Challenge it wrong again,
- 35:50Speaker 15: wrong again.
- 35:51Speaker 18: So I'm worried to with C. B. Buckner's mental health
- 35:53Speaker 18: right now. This is not great getting challenged as much?
- 35:56Speaker 1: Uh add Dan, enjoy the weekend, enjoy the masters, get
- 35:58Speaker 1: out of here. We have a guest coming up that
- 36:00Speaker 1: Taylor's very excited about so he's kicking y out.
- 36:02Speaker 18: Okay, I was gonna say this feels a little premature,
- 36:05Speaker 18: but again, I'm good for fifteen minutes.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Boys, that's it.
- 36:07Speaker 15: The guy behind the guy.
- 36:09Speaker 1: You get paid the same regardless, it doesn't matter. It's
- 36:15Speaker 1: very excited to have a national champion joining us. Right now,
- 36:19Speaker 1: Taylor's pumping his fists. Why are you pumping your fist?
- 36:22Speaker 16: Man?
- 36:22Speaker 4: All I said is that I didn't even introduce who
- 36:24Speaker 4: it was. I just said he's a national champion.
- 36:26Speaker 12: Because I was one of the fourteen percent of brackets
- 36:29Speaker 12: that trusted my eyes and said Michigan best team all year.
- 36:34Speaker 1: Yaxel Lundenborg is with us, and he is up for
- 36:37Speaker 1: the Wooden Award Player of the Year, YAC. So let's
- 36:39Speaker 1: start here. I don't have a vote, but I just
- 36:41Speaker 1: wanted you to know that I voted for you. You
- 36:44Speaker 1: know what I'm saying.
- 36:45Speaker 8: I appreciate that. Thank you.
- 36:48Speaker 4: You're my guy. You're my guy. Man. How's it feel
- 36:51Speaker 4: being a national champion?
- 36:53Speaker 8: Man? It was amazing. The moment it happened, it didn't
- 36:57Speaker 8: hit me, you know. It took a couple of days
- 36:58Speaker 8: for the settle in and like realize, actually, you know,
- 37:01Speaker 8: we won the championship, but man, it's an amazing feeling.
- 37:04Speaker 8: You know, we worked really really hard to get there,
- 37:06Speaker 8: and uh, it's a big accomplishment. Yeah.
- 37:07Speaker 3: So when did you know there's been doesn't happen every year,
- 37:11Speaker 3: but a lot of years when the national champion comes out,
- 37:13Speaker 3: you look back and say, oh, yeah, there was a
- 37:15Speaker 3: point where it was pretty clear they were the best team.
- 37:17Speaker 3: Was there a point where you and your guys just
- 37:19Speaker 3: knew was it the tournament? Was it before the tournament?
- 37:22Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 37:23Speaker 8: I would say after we dog walked Auburn and San
- 37:25Speaker 8: Diego State in Gazaga. I feel like that's when we
- 37:27Speaker 8: were all like, wow, like we could be the best
- 37:29Speaker 8: team you know ever. You know, Elliot, it was the
- 37:31Speaker 8: first guy to say that, and then I pretty much
- 37:33Speaker 8: like was rolling without seeing in the media, and then
- 37:35Speaker 8: everybody else started agree in. You know, a lot of
- 37:37Speaker 8: people were declining and we can't be but man, we
- 37:40Speaker 8: just you know, we just kept our heads down and
- 37:42Speaker 8: kept working.
- 37:42Speaker 4: Man, do you feel like you guys are the best
- 37:45Speaker 4: team ever?
- 37:46Speaker 8: I want to say yes. I thought that we could
- 37:48Speaker 8: compete with every team. Honestly, let's separate.
- 37:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sorry act. So I'll just say, what separates
- 37:55Speaker 3: your team? Make the case for your team? Is that
- 37:57Speaker 3: the size?
- 37:58Speaker 5: Is it just the depth?
- 37:59Speaker 8: Yeah, say the size we have. We have both. We
- 38:01Speaker 8: have a lot of size. We have death. We have
- 38:03Speaker 8: a very very unselfished group. You know, that really goes
- 38:05Speaker 8: a long way. You know, it's kind of hard to
- 38:07Speaker 8: game plan for Michigan because you don't know who's going
- 38:10Speaker 8: to be the main score at night. You know, you
- 38:11Speaker 8: can game plan for one guy, then the other guy's
- 38:13Speaker 8: gonna go for thirty. That guy that you game plan
- 38:15Speaker 8: for maybe have five points.
- 38:16Speaker 10: You know.
- 38:16Speaker 8: It's like it's different ways that we can attack. And
- 38:19Speaker 8: I feel like that's the main reason why we won
- 38:20Speaker 8: this year.
- 38:21Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 38:21Speaker 12: So I love your your TikTok lives. They always go
- 38:26Speaker 12: they just always go completely off the rails. And some
- 38:29Speaker 12: people would look at this Michigan team and say they
- 38:32Speaker 12: are the worst media trained team. I just say, hey,
- 38:35Speaker 12: you guys are just being your authentic selves.
- 38:39Speaker 8: I agree with what they say. We definitely aren't media trade.
- 38:42Speaker 8: I know I'm the like head hont of that that
- 38:44Speaker 8: that's on me, but man, it's really fun. I feel
- 38:46Speaker 8: like it helps us get together. It helps us, like
- 38:48Speaker 8: all kumbaya, you know. So I feel like those lives
- 38:51Speaker 8: definitely helped out. And eventually it became like a tradition,
- 38:54Speaker 8: like we won because we were all live last night,
- 38:56Speaker 8: so let's do it again, you know. But it was
- 38:58Speaker 8: very fun.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Did that feel good to?
- 39:01Speaker 10: Uh?
- 39:01Speaker 4: Go ahead, sy ahead?
- 39:03Speaker 3: All right? Actually, during the I'm a fellow Dominican during
- 39:06Speaker 3: the National Championship game, it kind of drove me crazy
- 39:09Speaker 3: because they only mentioned where you were born. They didn't
- 39:11Speaker 3: mention your nationality, and so I'm just like, I just
- 39:13Speaker 3: want to hear from you. You're tied because there's not
- 39:16Speaker 3: that many Dominican basketball players, Karl Anthony Towns, Al Horford,
- 39:19Speaker 3: you know, Felipe Lopez back, there's not too many of them.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Just curious how tired you are to your Dominican roots
- 39:24Speaker 3: and and if there's any sort of inspiration you have
- 39:26Speaker 3: from from Dominican players in the past.
- 39:29Speaker 8: Yeah. Well, I've been getting way more involved in with
- 39:33Speaker 8: like my Dominican side these past couple of years. I've
- 39:35Speaker 8: been getting a lot of support from the Dominican people
- 39:37Speaker 8: as well. Uh, the President actually invited me to go
- 39:40Speaker 8: over there and meet him. Really, so hopefully I'll get
- 39:42Speaker 8: a chance to go do that. You know, it's there's
- 39:44Speaker 8: been an honor, you know, just representing my country, uh,
- 39:47Speaker 8: represented my mom, you know, doing all that stuff. It
- 39:49Speaker 8: has been great, you know, man. Man, they always talking
- 39:51Speaker 8: about how great Karnthie Towns is al Horford as well,
- 39:54Speaker 8: you know, and like being able to follow on their
- 39:56Speaker 8: footsteps of the Maraislaw?
- 39:58Speaker 1: Did it feel good to finally shut up the Fab
- 40:00Speaker 1: five because they told you to make it to a
- 40:02Speaker 1: championship game and win it, and you guys made it
- 40:03Speaker 1: to the championship game and you won it.
- 40:05Speaker 4: They made it and never won it. Did it feel good?
- 40:07Speaker 8: Or what I wouldn't I wouldn't say, like like shut
- 40:10Speaker 8: them up? You know, we still were looking up to
- 40:13Speaker 8: them all year, you know, but right, but man, it
- 40:16Speaker 8: definitely felt good to, you know, be able to get
- 40:18Speaker 8: that blessing. I think I'm still waiting for them to
- 40:21Speaker 8: you know, put us on the pedestal.
- 40:23Speaker 10: Man.
- 40:25Speaker 8: It was definitely fun and excited to have those guys
- 40:27Speaker 8: having our back all year.
- 40:28Speaker 4: Yes.
- 40:28Speaker 12: Yeah, So earlier in the show, I admitted that I
- 40:31Speaker 12: used to have a crush on Missus met the mascot.
- 40:34Speaker 12: Stu Gotts said he's had a crush before on Betty Rubble.
- 40:37Speaker 12: I'm wondering who's who's the strangest person or maybe cartoon
- 40:41Speaker 12: you've had a crush on.
- 40:44Speaker 3: That's a good question.
- 40:46Speaker 4: I wouldn't say, wouldn't the War finalists.
- 40:49Speaker 8: I would say when I was a kid, maybe maybe
- 40:53Speaker 8: Lola Bunny.
- 40:55Speaker 3: From Jessica Rabbit was a.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Time make your case if you wouldn't mind as to
- 41:07Speaker 1: why you should win the Wooden Award.
- 41:09Speaker 4: I voted for you again just as a reminder, but
- 41:11Speaker 4: make your case.
- 41:13Speaker 16: Man.
- 41:13Speaker 8: Honestly, I feel like I'm not worthy the honest I'm
- 41:16Speaker 8: not really I don't think, I don't think like I
- 41:18Speaker 8: don't know, I don't know if I belonging with these guys. Man,
- 41:20Speaker 8: these guys have been doing so much for the team.
- 41:22Speaker 8: You know, they pretty much been putting a team on
- 41:24Speaker 8: their back. I've just, you know, really good player on
- 41:26Speaker 8: a really good team. Honestly, you know that's pretty much
- 41:28Speaker 8: my mindset here. But if there was any scenario where
- 41:32Speaker 8: I would win, it would probably just be because of
- 41:34Speaker 8: that national championship, right.
- 41:36Speaker 1: But you really like you're being honest there. You don't
- 41:38Speaker 1: feel like you belong in this conversation of course you do.
- 41:41Speaker 1: I mean, you're one of the best players in the game.
- 41:43Speaker 4: No, you too.
- 41:47Speaker 12: How many regular season games do you think you would
- 41:49Speaker 12: have missed with your injury in that National championship, because
- 41:52Speaker 12: it seems like you were just powering through it.
- 41:55Speaker 8: Na, Honestly, I had. I had a similar kind of
- 41:57Speaker 8: injury with like my calf that was kind of bothering
- 41:59Speaker 8: me earlier in the year. My numbers dropped, but I still,
- 42:01Speaker 8: you know, I still want to be on the court
- 42:03Speaker 8: no matter what. You know, It's like experience, and my
- 42:05Speaker 8: mom always had a saying like no pay, no game,
- 42:07Speaker 8: as cliche as it is, like I actually live by that.
- 42:09Speaker 8: So I'll just you know, I'm gonna do the best
- 42:11Speaker 8: I can to get on the court. And you know,
- 42:12Speaker 8: there's many kids at Michigan that were supporting you all year,
- 42:15Speaker 8: and it's like maybe they come to the game for
- 42:17Speaker 8: the first time and they can't watch me play, you know,
- 42:19Speaker 8: So I don't want everyone to make it be that
- 42:22Speaker 8: case for anybody.
- 42:22Speaker 3: Actually, maybe it could be a little less humble with
- 42:24Speaker 3: this question, because it feels like there were times during
- 42:28Speaker 3: the season where you watch your play and you, despite
- 42:31Speaker 3: having great teammates, could absolutely take over a game, and
- 42:34Speaker 3: the things you can do at your size just so
- 42:37Speaker 3: unique and very much seems like NBA ready. How much
- 42:40Speaker 3: of this year did you really feel like you were
- 42:43Speaker 3: coming into yourself and just getting the playing the best
- 42:45Speaker 3: basketball you've ever played?
- 42:47Speaker 8: Man I would. I would definitely say in Vegas, I
- 42:49Speaker 8: definitely grew a lot of confidence, especially in my three
- 42:51Speaker 8: point shot. I worked so hard to you know, just
- 42:54Speaker 8: be able to shoot a companiently. That's where it started off.
- 42:57Speaker 8: And then man, they're in the Mars manister, and I
- 43:00Speaker 8: feel like those games against Alabama, Tennessee and Saint Louis,
- 43:03Speaker 8: It's like, now it's my time to you know, really
- 43:05Speaker 8: take over and show these guys. Why was the big
- 43:07Speaker 8: ten player against stuff like that? And man, I started
- 43:10Speaker 8: showing all three levels of my game, and pretty much
- 43:12Speaker 8: it felt like nobody could you know, stop me in
- 43:14Speaker 8: the in the in the range. And then I started
- 43:16Speaker 8: realizing my fast break game is pretty much an easy
- 43:18Speaker 8: way to get going. If I started driving downhill, guys
- 43:20Speaker 8: want on want to make any other guys, you know,
- 43:22Speaker 8: blame me, and if they do, them kick out to
- 43:24Speaker 8: my three pointshitters.
- 43:25Speaker 3: Pallo ban Carrol's got nothing on you. Man, you're that
- 43:28Speaker 3: level of player.
- 43:29Speaker 4: I'm telling you, he's so humble.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Yack, Sol. We appreciate you joining us. Congratulations on the
- 43:36Speaker 1: National championship. Congratulations on all your success and good luck

- 43:43Speaker 8: Thank you. Thanks for having me.
