- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on?
- 0:00Speaker 2: It's Romeo, and we made it to Wednesday, halfway through
- 0:03Speaker 2: the week. We talked about sitting in the car. My
- 0:05Speaker 2: neighbor was just sitting in his driveway in the car.
- 0:07Speaker 2: I don't know what was going on there. Also, you know,
- 0:11Speaker 2: going out to dinner, going out to eat used to
- 0:13Speaker 2: be a special occasion. Now it just seems like you
- 0:15Speaker 2: do it whenever you want. So it's kind of funny
- 0:18Speaker 2: that a friend of mine and his wife got in
- 0:19Speaker 2: an argument over what goes on a hot dog.
- 0:22Speaker 1: She put mayonnaise on it. He said no. She had
- 0:24Speaker 1: to go remake it because, well, mayonnaise does not go
- 0:26Speaker 1: on a hot dog. Hey, yo, Rome, T-Mayo on hot
- 0:29Speaker 1: dogs here. That's because you're weird.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, toast a hot dog bun with mayonnaise does
- 0:36Speaker 2: not belong. Wait, toast a hot dog bun with mayonnaise
- 0:41Speaker 2: does not belong on a hot dog.
- 0:42Speaker 1: It does not. Now, look, we're talking about traditional foods.
- 0:46Speaker 1: Here's the thing. Here's what I want to tell you guys.
- 0:51Speaker 1: And we'll get into something a little bit different.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Because I got a friend who puts ketchup on street tacos,
- 0:57Speaker 2: which I think is the oddest thing ever.
- 1:00Speaker 1: But in his mind, he likes it. It's just a condiment.
- 1:02Speaker 2: But in a weird sense, it's a strange combination of
- 1:06Speaker 2: foods to mix together, okay? So mayonnaise in a hot
- 1:10Speaker 2: dog is not a combo that traditional. Now, look, you
- 1:14Speaker 2: guys are going to all sit here and say, well, man,
- 1:16Speaker 2: it's like jalapenos, you know? I got folks that put
- 1:19Speaker 2: jalapenos on absolutely everything, okay?
- 1:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Jalapenos don't traditionally go on a hamburger or a hot
- 1:27Speaker 2: dog or anything else, okay? Maybe some nachos, maybe in
- 1:32Speaker 2: some salsa, but no, okay? But there are a lot
- 1:35Speaker 2: of you weirdos out there that you have some strange
- 1:38Speaker 2: combination of foods that you like for whatever reason when
- 1:42Speaker 2: they go together. Like, I think it's absolutely disgusting to
- 1:45Speaker 2: take Thousand Island salad dressing and put it on a hamburger,
- 1:49Speaker 2: but that's become the norm. When you go to a
- 1:53Speaker 2: lot of restaurants, I think that's not, to me, something
- 1:56Speaker 2: that goes on a burger.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Okay?
- 1:58Speaker 2: But you guys all have these weird combinations of foods
- 2:02Speaker 2: that you eat, and you think it's normal, but it's not.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Okay?
- 2:06Speaker 2: 34254727, what did somebody tell me on a taco? On
- 2:10Speaker 2: a taco roll, for example, on tacos, cilantro, onions, beet radishes,
- 2:15Speaker 2: hot sauce. Okay?
- 2:16Speaker 1: I don't know what a beet radish is, but I guess.
- 2:20Speaker 2: But also, you guys know that when you get cilantro
- 2:23Speaker 2: and onion for a street taco, it's supposed to be
- 2:26Speaker 2: a white onion, right?
- 2:27Speaker 1: Not any other kind.
- 2:31Speaker 4: R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 2:31Speaker 2: But a lot of you eat strange foods, strange combinations.
- 2:35Speaker 2: What kind of strange combinations of foods do you eat?
- 2:37Speaker 2: They're not traditional, but yet you like them for some reason,
- 2:40Speaker 2: like ketchup on a steak, ketchup on a taco, things
- 2:44Speaker 2: like that.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Good morning, how's it going on?
- 2:46Speaker 5: Hey, good morning, Romeo.
- 2:47Speaker 1: Hey, what's up?
- 2:49Speaker 6: I actually had a similar conversation about this earlier, well,
- 2:53Speaker 6: last week with my co-worker. I told him not every
- 2:57Speaker 6: hot sauce belongs on, you know, like, you can't just
- 3:00Speaker 6: add zapatillo on everything. Certain hot sauces go with certain foods.
- 3:06Speaker 6: And he was laughing at me, and I said, no, really.
- 3:09Speaker 6: You know, Taco Bell tacos go with... Taco Bell sauce.
- 3:13Speaker 4: You're right.
- 3:13Speaker 6: Jack in the Box tacos go with Jack in the
- 3:15Speaker 6: Box sauce.
- 3:15Speaker 1: You're right. You can't just.
- 3:17Speaker 6: Score tapatio on everything.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Because he was laughing.
- 3:22Speaker 6: He had never tried a crystal hot sauce with Albertson's chicken.
- 3:25Speaker 3: And I said, that's a must for me. Okay.
- 3:29Speaker 6: And he said, no, I just add tapatio to whatever
- 3:32Speaker 6: we have.
- 3:32Speaker 7: And I was like, no.
- 3:33Speaker 8: You can't just add tapatio to everything. There's certain tastes
- 3:38Speaker 8: that go with certain foods and flavors.
- 3:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 1: 100% agree with you. See, but that means he's eating
- 3:44Speaker 1: bad foods.
- 3:45Speaker 2: If he has to put tapatio on everything, that means
- 3:47Speaker 2: whatever he's eating is not good.
- 3:49Speaker 8: I just don't like tapatio, period. I'm that one Mexican
- 3:56Speaker 8: that doesn't like tapatio.
- 3:58Speaker 4: I have to have different flavored sauces, and they.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 4:05Speaker 8: I agree with you 100%.
- 4:06Speaker 1: No, I agree with you 100%.
- 4:08Speaker 2: I think you're right. I think tapatio does not go
- 4:10Speaker 2: on everything. I think your 100.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Food combinations go together. You know, it took me a
- 4:14Speaker 1: while to learn that.
- 4:15Speaker 2: I started, you know, because I like certain things and
- 4:18Speaker 2: I started going to restaurants in the last couple of
- 4:20Speaker 2: years and just trying whatever their combination of food was
- 4:23Speaker 2: because I thought, you know what? Maybe I'm missing something
- 4:25Speaker 2: because they put this together. Let me try and see
- 4:28Speaker 2: if it's good, even though I don't like certain parts
- 4:30Speaker 2: of the food.
- 4:31Speaker 1: But no, it was good. It's good.
- 4:32Speaker 2: So you start to learn that, yeah, certain things go
- 4:35Speaker 2: together and certain things don't.
- 4:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that's exactly what I told him.
- 4:38Speaker 9: And at the end of the day, he's like, oh,
- 4:40Speaker 9: I got to go buy me some Crystal Hot Sauce
- 4:42Speaker 9: and keep that home now.
- 4:43Speaker 4: I said, yeah, expand your palate.
- 4:46Speaker 1: It's funny, though.
- 4:47Speaker 2: You know how many people out there think Tapatio goes
- 4:51Speaker 2: on everything? Wow. Yeah, no, no.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 4:55Speaker 8: All right.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Hey, thanks for calling.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Later.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Bye. On 842-547-7.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Just like I know people that think jalapenos go on
- 5:03Speaker 2: everything and they don't.
- 5:06Speaker 1: All right.
- 5:08Speaker 4: 842-547-7.
- 5:08Speaker 2: Let's look at what kind of strange things you guys
- 5:11Speaker 2: are eating right here. Yo, Rome, I can't stand that
- 5:15Speaker 2: hot Cheeto trend. I put hot Cheetos on everything that
- 5:18Speaker 2: drives me away from the business. It's cool, but don't
- 5:23Speaker 2: let it take you take over your menu.
- 5:27Speaker 6: Yes.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Hot Cheetos. Yeah. That hot Cheetos and cheese and whatever else.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Disgusting.
- 5:33Speaker 1: All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7.
- 5:35Speaker 2: What kind of strange combination of foods do you eat?
- 5:38Speaker 2: Talking about strange food combinations, right? Somebody said you put
- 5:41Speaker 2: mayonnaise on hot dogs.
- 5:42Speaker 1: That's weird. That's weird. That's not normal. Good morning, Al.
- 5:45Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 5:46Speaker 9: I'm trying to call Rome and talk.
- 5:48Speaker 1: What up, brother? You got me. What do you want?
- 5:50Speaker 9: Hey, Rome, let me just tell you this.
- 5:52Speaker 6: Back in the day, you know real.
- 5:54Speaker 9: Quick, french fries, we used to.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Cook them up.
- 5:56Speaker 6: What we put on it, ketchup. We didn't do.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Mayonnaise, dip it in mayonnaise, dip it in wax, none
- 6:02Speaker 3: of that stuff.
- 6:03Speaker 9: Our dog's going with it.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Let's see what you're telling everybody.
- 6:06Speaker 6: They don't want to hear you, though.
- 6:09Speaker 3: It's real.
- 6:10Speaker 9: It's real.
- 6:10Speaker 1: All right, man. I appreciate you calling, brother. Thank you.
- 6:13Speaker 1: All right. What's going on?
- 6:16Speaker 9: Good morning, Romeo.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Hey, what's up?
- 6:19Speaker 7: I was just hearing about the weird food combinations.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:23Speaker 6: I remembered about.
- 6:25Speaker 7: When I first got with my husband, I went out
- 6:28Speaker 7: to his house to.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Go have pozole because my sister-in-law.
- 6:31Speaker 7: Had made some. And they just eat it with cabbage
- 6:36Speaker 7: and just like salsa de aceite. And I eat it
- 6:42Speaker 7: with tomatoes and i put avocado and they thought that
- 6:48Speaker 7: it was strange and now now that i'm a part
- 6:51Speaker 7: of the family and i've been coming around more they
- 6:53Speaker 7: know to have one tomato and one avocado just for
- 6:57Speaker 7: me because for them it's so strange that is strange
- 7:00Speaker 7: what the hell's wrong with you And then when my
- 7:02Speaker 7: mother-in-law came to visit, she saw how I served my
- 7:07Speaker 7: plate and she was also, like, criticizing me. And then
- 7:09Speaker 7: I was like, maybe you should try it.
- 7:12Speaker 3: And now she does the same thing.
- 7:13Speaker 1: So, I don't know.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I was like, first I'm.
- 7:17Speaker 6: The weirdo, but I guess I'm not so weird at all.
- 7:20Speaker 1: That's weird. That's weird. I'm sorry. That's weird. All right.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Have a good one. Goodbye. Yeah, that's a little strange
- 7:28Speaker 1: for Pasola. All right, 842. Is that what she said?
- 7:30Speaker 1: Pasola or Menudo? Which it was.
- 7:31Speaker 2: All right, 842-547-7. Strange food combinations. What do you got?
- 7:36Speaker 6: 842-547-7.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Good morning. How's it going on?
- 7:41Speaker 9: Hey, Romeo.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 7:42Speaker 4: Good morning.
- 7:43Speaker 5: It's weird that people put ketchup on their eggs.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Oh, that is so weird. Absolutely.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 7:52Speaker 3: 100%.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you 100%. Ketchup does not go
- 7:56Speaker 1: on eggs. 100% agree with you.
- 7:58Speaker 4: Oh.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:59Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 7:59Speaker 1: People love it. I know people that'll make scrambled egg
- 8:01Speaker 1: sandwiches with ketchup on it. It's disgusting.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:04Speaker 9: I'm like, that is the smell.
- 8:07Speaker 4: No.
- 8:08Speaker 2: You know, and the worst part about it is it's
- 8:10Speaker 2: probably so much more normal than we think it is
- 8:13Speaker 2: about the people that do that.
- 8:15Speaker 9: Right.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:16Speaker 9: If they knew really what was in ketchup and how
- 8:18Speaker 9: it's made, I don't think they would be eating it.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Well, don't tell us, because I still put ketchup on
- 8:24Speaker 2: my hot dog.
- 8:25Speaker 9: Right?
- 8:26Speaker 6: I had a friend, and I told him, I said,
- 8:27Speaker 6: do you know what's in it? He's like, don't tell me.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Don't tell me. Yeah. Thanks for calling.
- 8:33Speaker 3: All right, I'm on my way to work.
- 8:35Speaker 7: You have a good one.
- 8:35Speaker 1: You too. All right, 842-547-27. Oh, what are we doing here?
- 8:44Speaker 1: Let's see here. Rome, you grew up on the reservation.
- 8:48Speaker 2: Now we know why you don't like mayo on a
- 8:50Speaker 2: hot dog, because mayo and quail or rabbit is probably nasty.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Quail or rabbit. We did not eat quail or rabbit
- 8:56Speaker 1: on my reservation. We ate salmon and deer meat. And yes,
- 9:00Speaker 1: you don't put mayonnaise on either one of those. Hey, Rome,
- 9:04Speaker 1: weirdos make the world go round.
- 9:06Speaker 2: If it wasn't for weirdos, these poor girls would not
- 9:10Speaker 2: be making money off selling pictures of their feet.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Oh, fair enough.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Yo, Rome, here's a good one. Hot link in a
- 9:18Speaker 2: hot dog bun with grilled onions, guacamole, and yes, mayo.
- 9:22Speaker 1: That's disgusting. That's just not, that's weird. Yes, that's weird.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Guacamole on a hot dog? That's strange. Strange food combinations, man.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Things that you eat that you like that just aren't normal.
- 9:34Speaker 2: They're just weird, all right? Because for some reason, it's
- 9:37Speaker 2: to your taste. All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7. This is going
- 9:40Speaker 2: to be one right now that is one of the
- 9:42Speaker 2: weirdest things I've ever heard. And I've heard it before.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I love tamales with ketchup, Romeo. The best. No. Ketchup
- 9:50Speaker 1: does not go on tamales.
- 9:51Speaker 2: All right, just like it doesn't go on a steak.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Ketchup does not go on a tri-tip sandwich. check ketchup
- 9:56Speaker 2: does does not yeah that's just that's terrible that's terrible
- 10:01Speaker 2: rome you can't eat mcdonald's ranch with in and out
- 10:04Speaker 2: fries um yeah that's true oh you're talking about that
- 10:09Speaker 2: okay so earlier somebody said uh she called up and
- 10:12Speaker 2: she said she has a friend that he puts tapatio
- 10:15Speaker 2: on everything a co-worker a friend and she tried to
- 10:17Speaker 2: tell him no you can't put tapatio on everything You know,
- 10:21Speaker 2: when you go to Jack in the Box, you get
- 10:22Speaker 2: the Jack in the Box sauce with the Jack in
- 10:24Speaker 2: the Box tacos.
- 10:25Speaker 1: You know, that type of situation. And you're right.
- 10:28Speaker 2: You're absolutely right. Because even when you go to different
- 10:31Speaker 2: taco stands, I mean, certain sauces go with certain tacos.
- 10:37Speaker 2: All right, 8-4-2-5-4, 7-7, Romeo. Whenever you have Tri Astro
- 10:44Speaker 2: Dogs on the east side, they have an Instagram account.
- 10:47Speaker 2: They serve bacon-wrapped hot dogs with nacho cheese, grilled onions,
- 10:50Speaker 2: hot Cheeto crumbs on top, plus a grilled jalapeno on
- 10:53Speaker 2: the side.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Must try.
- 10:54Speaker 2: I'll never try that. I'm just going to tell you
- 10:56Speaker 2: right now, I'll never try that. Maybe you love it.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Maybe it's great. But I'll never try it. I do
- 11:02Speaker 2: want to say one thing about Instagram, though. You know,
- 11:05Speaker 2: I told you the other day, I see all of
- 11:07Speaker 2: these restaurants. They grill up their food, and they show
- 11:10Speaker 2: you what they got, and come to our restaurant, and
- 11:12Speaker 2: I can never find the address.
- 11:15Speaker 1: They don't put the address.
- 11:17Speaker 2: on the page, you have to actually click on something.
- 11:19Speaker 2: I'll never go to a place that does it. But
- 11:21Speaker 2: guess who put the address? I'm so proud that I
- 11:25Speaker 2: go there as a Ritmo, Ritmo over off of, uh, Hageman.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I saw a Ritmo ad on Instagram and they had
- 11:33Speaker 2: the address right under the name of their restaurant, which
- 11:36Speaker 2: is what every single restaurant should have. If you want
- 11:39Speaker 2: me to go there already for two, five, four, seven, seven,
- 11:43Speaker 2: five to search for your address.
- 11:45Speaker 1: You don't really want me at your restaurant.
- 11:48Speaker 9: All right, Rome.
- 11:49Speaker 1: The worst is.
- 11:50Speaker 2: When people put ketchup and Parmesan cheese on their pizza.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Ketchup is weird on a pizza. Parmesan cheese depends on
- 12:00Speaker 2: the pizza. Depends on the pizza. And it depends on
- 12:04Speaker 2: the Parmesan cheese. Some pizza places have better Parmesan cheese
- 12:08Speaker 2: than others.
- 12:08Speaker 3: R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7-8.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Hey, Rome, my ex adds ketchup on tamales. Always found
- 12:16Speaker 1: it weird.
- 12:16Speaker 2: It's a good thing that is your ex, because ketchup,
- 12:20Speaker 2: only psychopaths put ketchup on a tamale. Yo, Rome, I
- 12:24Speaker 2: eat my French fries with mustard. If I use ketchup,
- 12:28Speaker 2: I like to mix black pepper in the ketchup. Sounds crazy,
- 12:30Speaker 2: but you need to try it. Mustard and, mustard and, no,
- 12:36Speaker 2: you said mustard and fries.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Or ketchup with black pepper.
- 12:40Speaker 3: Oh.
- 12:42Speaker 1: I don't know. With sour bread, what? Oh, it has
- 12:46Speaker 1: to be a hot dog link.
- 12:47Speaker 4: Oh, Rome?
- 12:48Speaker 1: It has to be a hot dog.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Link, not a hot dog with guacamole and sourdough bread.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Well, okay.
- 12:56Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Yeah, okay. Yo, Rome, is Ritmo a good spot? Ritmo's
- 13:03Speaker 2: a great spot. Ritmo's good food.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Good food, good drinks, yes. Ritmo's good food. I go
- 13:10Speaker 1: to Ritmo.
- 13:11Speaker 2: And always get a ribeye and a glass of wine.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Get the lobster mac. It's what you need to get
- 13:17Speaker 2: at Ripmo. Either get the ribeye shaved tacos, the ribeye
- 13:22Speaker 2: shaved tacos, or a ribeye or a filet with a
- 13:28Speaker 2: glass of Austin and some lobster mac and cheese. And
- 13:33Speaker 2: I think they usually come with asparagus or something like that. But, yeah,
- 13:35Speaker 2: Ripmo's good.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Ripmo's good. It's worth it. Yo, Rome, my girlfriend puts
- 13:39Speaker 1: ketchup on her ground beef tacos. Oh, God, that's nasty.
- 13:45Speaker 1: That's nasty.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Romeo, I think.
- 13:47Speaker 9: Ketchup is one of those things that should only be
- 13:49Speaker 9: reserved for fries, potatoes.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Ketchup should only be put on French fries, hamburgers, and
- 13:59Speaker 1: hot dogs. Nothing else. Oh, meatloaf. Ketchup on meatloaf is
- 14:04Speaker 1: good when you cook ketchup on meatloaf.
- 14:05Speaker 8: The hamburger and meatloaf, yeah, but the hot dog, I
- 14:08Speaker 8: don't know.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I put mustard on a hot dog, so yeah, I'm
- 14:13Speaker 1: with you on that.
- 14:15Speaker 6: I hate people that put it on tamales.
- 14:17Speaker 9: You hear people ground beef and all this other stuff.
- 14:20Speaker 9: That's just gross.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Yeah, it's disgusting. And tacos, I knew a guy when
- 14:24Speaker 1: I grew up.
- 14:25Speaker 2: He put ketchup on regular hard-shelled tacos.
- 14:28Speaker 1: It was disgusting.
- 14:29Speaker 6: Do you know that ketchup originated in China and it
- 14:33Speaker 6: was meant.
- 14:33Speaker 2: For a fish seasoning?
- 14:36Speaker 1: I did not know that.
- 14:37Speaker 9: Yeah, and Western civilization turned it into a potato thing.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Okay. Too late.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Yeah, ketchup only goes on about three things. It only
- 14:48Speaker 2: goes on about three things.
- 14:50Speaker 1: We're talking about ketchup. Hey, good morning, Rome.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Ketchup went on tacos back then for ground beef. Couldn't
- 14:58Speaker 2: tell us African-American anything. It was the bomb. Is that
- 15:07Speaker 2: who put ketchup on taco, ground beef tacos?
- 15:10Speaker 1: No.
- 15:12Speaker 2: I knew a few cats that put ketchup on ground
- 15:15Speaker 2: beef tacos.
- 15:16Speaker 1: And they were... It's not how that goes, man. You
- 15:22Speaker 1: know what's funny?
- 15:22Speaker 2: It's funny when it comes to the condiments that you
- 15:25Speaker 2: put on food, right? Because I will not, I will
- 15:28Speaker 2: only put ketchup on French fries, hot dogs and hamburgers.
- 15:33Speaker 1: Only three, meatloaf, three, four things. Right.
- 15:38Speaker 2: But when you talk about tacos, like I won't put a,
- 15:42Speaker 2: like on a ground beef taco, I won't put a
- 15:46Speaker 2: traditional salsa. Like I would a street taco, like a
- 15:49Speaker 2: Sala or, or, or, or, or, um, you know, chicken
- 15:53Speaker 2: or Sala or whatever. Um, Street taco, right? I got
- 15:58Speaker 2: to have some salsa. But on a ground beef taco,
- 16:06Speaker 2: I put La Victoria salsa when I make ground beef tacos.
- 16:11Speaker 1: I don't know why. I don't make, I mean, I
- 16:14Speaker 1: know how to.
- 16:14Speaker 2: Make different types of salsas, whether they be chunky or
- 16:16Speaker 2: whether they be, you know, watery.
- 16:19Speaker 1: But I don't, for some reason, I don't know why.
- 16:23Speaker 1: It's kind of weird. But yeah, just like... Hey, Rome,
- 16:29Speaker 1: what about putting ketchup on scrambled eggs? Hell no. Oh,
- 16:32Speaker 1: hell no. That's nasty.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Don't put ketchup on scrambled eggs. Ketchup goes on four things. Hamburgers,
- 16:39Speaker 2: hot dogs, fries, and meatloaf. And it has to be
- 16:43Speaker 2: cooked on the meatloaf. You don't use it as a
- 16:45Speaker 2: dipping sauce for your meatloaf.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Okay?
- 16:47Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, what about ketchup on white rice? You're just
- 16:54Speaker 2: messing with me, right?
- 16:55Speaker 1: You just... you just sent that in to mess with me.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I mean, who in their right mind would put ketchup
- 17:01Speaker 1: on white rice? I'm not even, I don't think I've
- 17:05Speaker 1: even heard of that before.
- 17:06Speaker 2: What kind of, I mean, Oh my God, you're just
- 17:11Speaker 2: messing with me, right? You just sent that to screw
- 17:13Speaker 2: with me. Uh, yeah, I hope.
- 17:16Speaker 3: Hey, Romeo.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Yes, I agree.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Uh, as an adult for the taste buds change, but
- 17:22Speaker 2: as a kid, no choice for ground beef tacos. Uh,
- 17:26Speaker 2: No choice for ground beef tacos with ketchup. I just, no,
- 17:35Speaker 2: I've never had that. Maybe it's good.
- 17:36Speaker 1: Maybe I'm wrong.
- 17:38Speaker 2: But I will give you this, though. Here's the problem
- 17:41Speaker 2: with a lot of us, okay? We grow up on
- 17:45Speaker 2: certain things. Now, whether it's because of our economic background,
- 17:50Speaker 2: whether it's because we grew up on a reservation and
- 17:53Speaker 2: all we got is fish and deer meat, Salmon and
- 17:56Speaker 2: deer meat, that's our main source of food. Or whether
- 17:59Speaker 2: you grow, I mean, it just depends where you grow
- 18:01Speaker 2: up in the South and you've eaten different things. Everybody
- 18:04Speaker 2: kind of grows up as a kid eating certain things, right?
- 18:09Speaker 2: And you're right about what you say. As a kid,
- 18:13Speaker 2: we eat certain things. As we grow up and become
- 18:16Speaker 2: a little more cultured and understand a little more that
- 18:19Speaker 2: there's other things out there and better things out there, then, yeah.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Yeah. We change.
- 18:26Speaker 2: I always equated 22 and in college, you drink some
- 18:33Speaker 2: of the worst alcohol ever. The cheapest whiskey, the cheapest tequila,
- 18:39Speaker 2: and you think it's good.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Cuervo Gold is terrible. Jack Daniels is awful.
- 18:45Speaker 2: It's cheap.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Jameson's is nasty.
- 18:50Speaker 2: Once you grow up, start making a little bit more
- 18:53Speaker 2: money and start drinking a little better quality whiskey, a
- 18:55Speaker 2: little sipping whiskey, I mean tequila, you start to realize
- 19:00Speaker 2: there's a quality product out there. You just got to
- 19:02Speaker 2: find it and be able to afford it.
- 19:03Speaker 9: Hey, Rome.
- 19:05Speaker 2: I just heard what you said about drinking cheap booze
- 19:07Speaker 2: when you're younger because that's all you can afford. What
- 19:11Speaker 2: other stuff, once you could afford it, you started buying it?
- 19:16Speaker 1: That's a good question. Uh, like every, like the rest
- 19:20Speaker 1: of you, I used to, you used to drink terrible whiskey.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Now I drink a nice whiskey. Not really.
- 19:27Speaker 2: It's, I mean, not expensive, expensive, but you know, there's
- 19:31Speaker 2: more expensive out there, but I drink a better wine.
- 19:34Speaker 2: I guess I drink better wine now. I do drink
- 19:36Speaker 2: better wine. I don't drink, uh, boons, um, tequila, obviously. Uh,
- 19:43Speaker 2: what else, what else have you upgraded?
- 19:45Speaker 1: On buying or maybe your taste upgraded? That's a very
- 19:49Speaker 1: good question. I don't have to, let me think about
- 19:51Speaker 1: that for a minute.
- 19:52Speaker 2: I don't know what I, now that I make a
- 19:57Speaker 2: little more money than when I was in college, I
- 19:59Speaker 2: don't know what I've changed. Maybe food, maybe eat better
- 20:03Speaker 2: food steaks. That's a very good question. What have you
- 20:08Speaker 2: upgraded now that you make more money?
- 20:11Speaker 1: Hmm. That's a good question. Let me think about it
- 20:14Speaker 1: for a little bit. What do you got here? Hey, Rome.
- 20:17Speaker 2: You think a lot more women these days are into gorditos,
- 20:20Speaker 2: fat guys? I don't think they're. Women are just into
- 20:23Speaker 2: people that treat them right. That's really all they're into.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Women tend to, at a certain point in her life,
- 20:30Speaker 2: She decides that respect, communication, love, caringness, wanting to be
- 20:36Speaker 2: with her is more important than body shape or body size, okay?
- 20:42Speaker 1: And I'm going to be honest with you, man.
- 20:44Speaker 2: So it's not necessarily that, you know, women are into
- 20:47Speaker 2: fat guys. They're just into guys that, you know, at
- 20:50Speaker 2: a certain point work hard and will take care of them.
- 20:53Speaker 1: And fat guys eat. You know, women want to eat.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Times are tough.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Prices are inflation and the cost of things gone up. Bro,
- 21:01Speaker 2: fat guy's still eating, so if she wants to eat,
- 21:04Speaker 2: she might have to get with a fat guy. So
- 21:08Speaker 2: I don't think it's a trend. I think women are just,
- 21:10Speaker 2: I think women figure out whatever. Body size doesn't matter.
- 21:15Speaker 2: There are a lot more things that are more important
- 21:16Speaker 2: to a woman than that. So, all right.
- 21:20Speaker 1: R-8-4-2-5-4, 7-7.
- 21:21Speaker 2: So yesterday, I go out to grab some packages out
- 21:25Speaker 2: at the front door, right?
- 21:27Speaker 1: And I look over, and I see my neighbors. In
- 21:32Speaker 1: his driveway, just sitting in his car. And he doesn't
- 21:35Speaker 1: see me.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I don't know what he's doing. I'm looking at him
- 21:37Speaker 2: for a minute, grabbing my package. I wasn't going to
- 21:39Speaker 2: go say hi, but I thought, nah. How bad of
- 21:42Speaker 2: a day do you have to have to where you're
- 21:44Speaker 2: just sitting in your car before you go in the house?
- 21:49Speaker 2: You know, like how rough did it have to be
- 21:53Speaker 2: to be in your driveway? Just sitting in your car
- 21:58Speaker 2: trying to figure out what's next. No, I don't know
- 22:01Speaker 2: what he was doing, but I was thinking, man, bro,
- 22:05Speaker 2: you must have had a rough day.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Or, let me tell you this.
- 22:10Speaker 2: This is another funny thing I thought about when he
- 22:13Speaker 2: was sitting there, and I don't know why he was
- 22:14Speaker 2: sitting there.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I haven't asked him. I will, or he'll hear this
- 22:17Speaker 1: right now on his way to work, or his wife will,
- 22:20Speaker 1: and I'll find out.
- 22:24Speaker 2: But for those of you that don't know that before
- 22:31Speaker 2: you could text your family at any given moment, before
- 22:35Speaker 2: you could communicate with them 24-7, you would come home
- 22:41Speaker 2: from work and you didn't know what was going to happen.
- 22:44Speaker 2: You didn't know what you were in for. You didn't
- 22:47Speaker 2: know what the kids were doing, the wife, the husband.
- 22:50Speaker 2: You'd show up home, you'd pull into that driveway, and
- 22:55Speaker 2: we didn't all have cell phones. So you didn't know
- 22:58Speaker 2: what you were walking into. Now, I don't know what
- 23:03Speaker 2: he was walking into. Maybe something was going on inside
- 23:06Speaker 2: the house that he needed a moment, you know, to
- 23:11Speaker 2: collect his thoughts before he walked in.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I don't know. But I'm just saying. I mean, how
- 23:19Speaker 1: many of you remember dad? I mean, a lot of
- 23:22Speaker 1: you remember back in.
- 23:23Speaker 2: The day when we were kids, you remember dad having
- 23:25Speaker 2: a cigarette before he came in the house. You guys
- 23:27Speaker 2: remember that, right? Your dad would get off work. He'd
- 23:32Speaker 2: get out of his car and he'd just stand there,
- 23:34Speaker 2: have a smoke before he came into the house because
- 23:37Speaker 2: he didn't know what he was getting into. Maybe he
- 23:40Speaker 2: had a rough day at work. You just never know.
- 23:44Speaker 2: So I just thought it was the craziest thing. And
- 23:49Speaker 2: I don't know what he was doing. He didn't look
- 23:52Speaker 2: like he was talking to anybody on the phone or anything.
- 23:55Speaker 2: He didn't look like he was wrapping up a conversation.
- 23:57Speaker 1: I have no idea. I mean, I'm sure I'll find out, but...
- 24:02Speaker 1: What kind of day do you have to have?
- 24:06Speaker 2: Or what's going on inside that house that you just
- 24:10Speaker 2: need a moment to collect yourself.
- 24:12Speaker 1: In the car? R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. Have you ever done that?
- 24:19Speaker 2: Have you ever gotten home and just said, I need
- 24:21Speaker 2: a minute. Let me just sit in this car for
- 24:23Speaker 2: a second or two or three to collect my thoughts,
- 24:28Speaker 2: to collect me as a person. Get my emotions straight
- 24:32Speaker 2: before I go in this house for whatever reason.
- 24:34Speaker 1: So, yeah, I went out yesterday to grab something off
- 24:39Speaker 1: the front porch, got delivered.
- 24:40Speaker 2: I look over, and my neighbor, he's just sitting in
- 24:42Speaker 2: his car. I don't know what he's doing, just sitting there.
- 24:46Speaker 2: And I was thinking, man, how bad of a day.
- 24:50Speaker 2: How crazy did your day have to get to you
- 24:53Speaker 2: just got to sit in the car in the driveway
- 24:55Speaker 2: for a minute and collect yourself? Or what's going on inside?
- 24:59Speaker 2: That means you've got to prepare yourself to go inside.
- 25:03Speaker 2: Who does that?
- 25:06Speaker 1: R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. I actually have no idea why he was doing it.
- 25:10Speaker 1: Good morning, Al. What's going on?
- 25:11Speaker 5: Good morning, Romeo.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Hey, what's up?
- 25:14Speaker 3: So I'm a knock shift worker.
- 25:16Speaker 9: I just got off of work right now. So when
- 25:19Speaker 9: I get off of work, I sit in my car
- 25:20Speaker 9: in the morning. For how long?
- 25:23Speaker 8: Maybe about.
- 25:24Speaker 6: 20 minutes.
- 25:26Speaker 9: 20, 30 minutes. Why?
- 25:28Speaker 3: I sit in my car to.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Listen to you. To listen to what?
- 25:31Speaker 9: Your phone cut out.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I sit in my car to listen to your bull
- 25:34Speaker 3: * * * *.
- 25:35Speaker 6: Oh, God.
- 25:38Speaker 3: I don't have a radio in my job.
- 25:40Speaker 5: I'm a noxious caregiver, so we don't have radios.
- 25:45Speaker 4: Oh.
- 25:46Speaker 3: I catch up on my day before I.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Go to bed.
- 25:48Speaker 6: Gotcha.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Well, that makes sense. That makes sense. Okay.
- 25:52Speaker 9: Yeah. Dude, try to collect my thoughts because I have
- 25:55Speaker 9: two boys at home that are boys. So I'm like, if.
- 25:59Speaker 6: When I left, they better left my house, I better
- 26:01Speaker 6: come home to a clean house.
- 26:02Speaker 3: So that's nothing.
- 26:05Speaker 8: All right.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Well, thanks for calling. I appreciate it. Bye. That's just
- 26:11Speaker 1: funny to me. I mean, I don't know.
- 26:13Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, I sit in my car after work, pound
- 26:17Speaker 2: two tallies and going after a long day.
- 26:22Speaker 1: That's my question. I get it.
- 26:25Speaker 2: You have a long day at the office. You need
- 26:27Speaker 2: a couple tall boys to get you through it. But
- 26:29Speaker 2: why do you got to pound them in the car?
- 26:30Speaker 2: Why can't you go into the house.
- 26:32Speaker 1: And pound them? I'm just, it just, it was just
- 26:35Speaker 1: strange to me. I don't, I don't know why. I
- 26:37Speaker 1: don't know why he.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Was sitting in his car, but I mean, with nowadays,
- 26:40Speaker 2: you know what you're coming home to. Back in the day,
- 26:43Speaker 2: you didn't know what you were getting yourself into when
- 26:45Speaker 2: you got home. Whether the wife was mad, the husband
- 26:48Speaker 2: was upset, the kids were obnoxious. You had no idea
- 26:51Speaker 2: what you were coming home to. Nowadays, I guess you
- 26:55Speaker 2: know you're coming home to a fight because she's texting
- 26:57Speaker 2: you or he's texting you about what's this and what's that.
- 27:00Speaker 1: So maybe that's what it is. I have no idea.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Just sitting in the car. So I go out to
- 27:06Speaker 2: get some packages. The front door, right? I look over
- 27:08Speaker 2: at my neighbor.
- 27:09Speaker 1: He's just sitting in his car. Right in the driveway.
- 27:12Speaker 1: And I'm thinking.
- 27:13Speaker 2: To myself, why is this dude sitting in the car?
- 27:16Speaker 2: What's going on? Rough day at work. Got to get
- 27:19Speaker 2: yourself together.
- 27:20Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Maybe he knows that things are going chaotic inside the house,
- 27:24Speaker 2: so he needs to collect himself.
- 27:25Speaker 1: I'm not sure. Why are you sitting in the car?
- 27:31Speaker 1: rd425477 yo.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Rome the way i do it is i take the
- 27:36Speaker 2: long way home and catch every red light so when
- 27:40Speaker 2: i get home i'm ready to go in well i
- 27:44Speaker 2: mean that's a better way to do it instead of
- 27:47Speaker 2: just sitting in the car sitting there in your driveway
- 27:50Speaker 2: just trying to figure out what's next in life you
- 27:52Speaker 2: know what Is that what's going on? You trying to
- 27:55Speaker 2: collect your thoughts and figure out where you went wrong today?
- 27:57Speaker 1: I mean, why are you sitting in the car? That's
- 28:01Speaker 1: what I don't know. In your driveway. What is going
- 28:05Speaker 1: on in your life?
- 28:07Speaker 2: R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7-8, Romeo. I got to tell you a funny story
- 28:12Speaker 2: about sitting in the car. Now, we have cameras in
- 28:16Speaker 2: our driveway and the ring cam. My husband came home,
- 28:20Speaker 2: thought he was slick, went and got some fast food,
- 28:23Speaker 2: didn't bring any for nobody, and we could watch him
- 28:27Speaker 2: on the camera eating in the car. Me and the
- 28:30Speaker 2: kids just watched it, and then when he came in,
- 28:33Speaker 2: I showed him the video. It was so funny, Rome.
- 28:37Speaker 2: He had to go back out and get us all
- 28:39Speaker 2: fast food just like he got.
- 28:43Speaker 1: My man got caught, huh? I had a friend of
- 28:47Speaker 1: mine did that. His wife doesn't like him eating hot dogs.
- 28:50Speaker 2: So this fool pulls up to his driveway, gets out
- 28:53Speaker 2: of his car, right in front of the camera, just
- 28:57Speaker 2: eating hot dogs.
- 28:58Speaker 1: Man, she sent that video to everybody he knew.
- 29:02Speaker 2: I still got the video on my phone.
- 29:03Speaker 1: It's hilarious.
- 29:05Speaker 2: But anyway, sitting in the car, man, how bad does
- 29:07Speaker 2: your day have to be? Or how messed up do
- 29:10Speaker 2: things have to be in your house that you just
- 29:12Speaker 2: need a moment to sit in the car?
- 29:15Speaker 1: So it's funny.
- 29:16Speaker 2: I went out to grab some packages. You know, at
- 29:18Speaker 2: the front porch, I look over at my neighbor. He's
- 29:20Speaker 2: just sitting in his car in the driveway. I don't
- 29:23Speaker 2: know what he's doing.
- 29:24Speaker 1: I thought, man. Why are you sitting in your car?
- 29:29Speaker 2: What is going on with your day that you need
- 29:32Speaker 2: to sit there and collect your thoughts?
- 29:34Speaker 1: Good morning, out what's going on.
- 29:35Speaker 5: Hey romeo i was calling about the whole sitting in
- 29:37Speaker 5: the car thing yeah what up brother well you know
- 29:41Speaker 5: i work for ups and i drive all day okay
- 29:44Speaker 5: when i get home honestly i just want to just
- 29:47Speaker 5: sit there for a second like let my mental just
- 29:51Speaker 5: calm down because i'm like i'm driving all day i
- 29:53Speaker 5: even gotta drive home and i don't want to take
- 29:55Speaker 5: it out on nobody you know what i'm.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Saying Oh, I see what you're saying. You're doing it
- 29:59Speaker 2: so that you don't go into your family. And, okay,
- 30:03Speaker 2: I see that. That makes sense, I guess.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:07Speaker 9: But I know sometimes, like, you know, everybody brings work
- 30:10Speaker 9: to home, and I'm like, I'm not one of those people,
- 30:12Speaker 9: you know?
- 30:15Speaker 2: As a UPS driver, by the way, you buy yourself
- 30:18Speaker 2: all day. How can you have some mental instability that
- 30:21Speaker 2: you're going to take out on your family?
- 30:23Speaker 1: You buy yourself all day, bro.
- 30:26Speaker 9: Well, look, I'm going to tell you something. Being a
- 30:29Speaker 9: driver is almost like cartoonish because so much things happen
- 30:34Speaker 9: during the day. And I'm not saying take it out
- 30:36Speaker 9: on your family. It's like I don't want to bring...
- 30:39Speaker 9: the energy to the family.
- 30:41Speaker 5: I already talked to my girl about what's going on,
- 30:45Speaker 5: like the crazy drivers.
- 30:46Speaker 9: But I just want to bring positivity to my family.
- 30:54Speaker 9: You know what I'm saying? I don't want to just
- 30:56Speaker 9: bring it. Because, you know, family, kids, you got to
- 30:59Speaker 9: be the best version of yourself.
- 31:00Speaker 1: I'm not going to argue with you, but all right.
- 31:03Speaker 3: Okay.
- 31:03Speaker 4: All right.
- 31:04Speaker 1: So how long do you sit in the car?
- 31:07Speaker 9: Uh, well, I'm going to be honest with you. It
- 31:09Speaker 9: depends on what time I get off. Like, if I
- 31:11Speaker 9: get off at a decent time, you know, probably five minutes.
- 31:14Speaker 9: But if I'm out here until nine o'clock, I don't know,
- 31:17Speaker 9: it'll take like 20 minutes just to get it off me.
- 31:21Speaker 9: It's tiring out here.
- 31:23Speaker 1: Oh, that's awesome.
- 31:25Speaker 5: A lot of people be ordering around the same time, summertime,
- 31:29Speaker 5: waiting to bench.
- 31:30Speaker 9: And I'm like, you know what? Y'all ordering all this
- 31:33Speaker 9: stuff and it's going to be clothes on there. Clothes
- 31:36Speaker 9: on there. in the next few weeks. But, you know, hey.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Oh, that's hilarious. Well, good. All right, man. Just take
- 31:42Speaker 1: you a little, collect your thoughts before you go in
- 31:44Speaker 1: the house.
- 31:46Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 31:46Speaker 1: All right. All right, man. Thanks for calling.
- 31:49Speaker 9: No problem.
- 31:50Speaker 1: That makes sense, right?
- 31:51Speaker 9: I agree with the Romeo. I work for a repo company.
- 31:54Speaker 9: Sometimes you just got to sit there because people just
- 31:57Speaker 9: mess your day up because they're mad you didn't pay
- 31:59Speaker 9: their car note.
- 32:04Speaker 1: So what, man? So people be mad at what you're.
- 32:07Speaker 2: Doing, and you just get home, sit in the car
- 32:10Speaker 2: for a minute before you.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Go in the house?
- 32:12Speaker 9: I take a deep breath. That way I can exhale
- 32:15Speaker 9: and let all of the craziness out.
- 32:18Speaker 1: You just got to let it out, Romeo. Just take
- 32:21Speaker 1: a deep breath and go, okay, I'm going in the house.
- 32:23Speaker 9: Let me see what the wife wants. I don't want
- 32:25Speaker 9: to give her the bad news that somebody didn't pay
- 32:27Speaker 9: their car note and they screamed at me today.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Oh, that's hilarious. Okay. All right. All right, man. Thanks
- 32:36Speaker 1: for calling. That is hilarious to me.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, gas is too expensive to just be sitting
- 32:43Speaker 2: in the car. That's what you got the drive home
- 32:46Speaker 2: from work for to think about your day, not just
- 32:49Speaker 2: sitting in the.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Driveway wasting gas. Who cares about that? I just wonder.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Man, what kind of day do you have to have
- 32:59Speaker 2: to when you come home? There's only two things that
- 33:03Speaker 2: it can be, right? Sitting in the car, you had a.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Day, and you need to.
- 33:07Speaker 2: Collect your thoughts, or you got a household that you
- 33:12Speaker 2: just don't want to walk into. So you need a
- 33:15Speaker 2: moment before you can handle that insanity.
- 33:19Speaker 1: Good morning, Al. What's going on?
- 33:20Speaker 9: Yo, Rome.
- 33:22Speaker 1: What up, man?
- 33:23Speaker 3: You know what?
- 33:24Speaker 6: There's only two places where a man can really think
- 33:29Speaker 6: and come up with either great ideas or great inventions.
- 33:32Speaker 6: And sitting down in the driveway in your car or
- 33:35Speaker 6: sitting on.
- 33:36Speaker 3: Your toilet, my man.
- 33:39Speaker 6: My man was probably thinking about some great, you know,
- 33:43Speaker 6: what's my next move? You know what I mean?
- 33:44Speaker 9: Maybe.
- 33:45Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 33:46Speaker 6: Let me just tell you, do you think Alexander Hamilton
- 33:48Speaker 6: didn't sit in the toilet and thought about writing the Constitution.
- 33:53Speaker 3: My man?
- 33:55Speaker 1: Okay, wow. All right.
- 33:59Speaker 6: I'm telling you, Gabe.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Okay, fair enough.
- 34:02Speaker 6: Driveway or go to the toilet, great ideas, my man.
- 34:05Speaker 1: All right, later.
- 34:09Speaker 2: My man was, so you're telling me my neighbor was
- 34:11Speaker 2: trying to figure out how to cure cancer, huh?
- 34:13Speaker 1: While he was sitting in the driveway after work. Before
- 34:16Speaker 1: he went into his house, is that what was going on?
- 34:18Speaker 2: I don't.
- 34:19Speaker 1: I don't think I've ever sat in my car after
- 34:21Speaker 1: getting home. And, yeah.
- 34:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:27Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 34:28Speaker 1: I guess you guys do it.
- 34:29Speaker 2: You just sit in the car after work, in the driveway,
- 34:32Speaker 2: collect yourself before you go in.
- 34:34Speaker 9: Bro, bro.
- 34:36Speaker 1: What up, man?
- 34:37Speaker 3: How you doing today, man?
- 34:38Speaker 9: It's your boy Slick, man.
- 34:39Speaker 7: Hey, what up, Slick?
- 34:40Speaker 1: What's going on? Oh, man.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Slow motion laughing at all these cats. They got to
- 34:44Speaker 3: sit in the car, man.
- 34:45Speaker 6: Like you said, the ride home should be good enough, bro.
- 34:48Speaker 9: I didn't understand what he was saying as a driver
- 34:51Speaker 9: because I drive for USPS, but.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Like you said, you know you have a lot of
- 34:57Speaker 3: crazy drivers, but come on now.
- 34:58Speaker 9: You got to go home and to the fair now, man.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not really sure.
- 35:02Speaker 2: I mean, logic, I guess, sounds sound, but I just don't... Man,
- 35:07Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 35:08Speaker 1: I never had to sit in the car for anything,
- 35:10Speaker 1: but I guess. I don't know.
- 35:13Speaker 9: Yeah, I collect my thoughts, but hey, that's the whole ride.
- 35:16Speaker 6: Home, man.
- 35:17Speaker 1: I got.
- 35:18Speaker 6: A three-year-old and a five-year-old.
- 35:19Speaker 9: There, they're not letting me do none of that. They're
- 35:21Speaker 9: going to be watching me through the window.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Hey, daddy's home.
- 35:27Speaker 2: Why is dad out there smoking a menthol under the
- 35:30Speaker 2: tree before you come in?
- 35:33Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 35:33Speaker 9: Dad got something in his mouth.
- 35:34Speaker 6: What is he doing?
- 35:37Speaker 1: All right, bro. Thanks for calling us. All right, bro.
- 35:39Speaker 6: Have a good one, bro.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I get it. I guess,
- 35:43Speaker 1: you know, things are wild. You know, you got to
- 35:46Speaker 1: go in the.
- 35:47Speaker 2: I guess you got to take a moment, collect your
- 35:49Speaker 2: thoughts before you head in to the rest of the
- 35:52Speaker 2: head to the house. I don't know. I need four, two, five, four, seven, seven.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Yo, Rome, let me tell you this. I got a
- 36:02Speaker 1: stressful job.
- 36:04Speaker 2: And when I get home, I got three kids and
- 36:06Speaker 2: a wife at home. Now, don't get me wrong, Rome.
- 36:10Speaker 2: They all great. But every once in a while, I
- 36:12Speaker 2: just need a moment. But luckily for me, I don't
- 36:15Speaker 2: have to sit in the car. I get out, pop
- 36:18Speaker 2: a beer from the fridge, and just sit in the garage,
- 36:21Speaker 2: have a beer before I go in.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Well, same thing, sitting in the garage. All right. All right.
- 36:30Speaker 1: I guess. 34254 is 7 to 7, yo, Rome. So
- 36:32Speaker 1: I have a routine before I get home from work.
- 36:36Speaker 2: I stop at the liquor store, buy a three-pack and
- 36:38Speaker 2: two shots.
- 36:39Speaker 1: As soon as I get home, I sit.
- 36:41Speaker 2: In the car, drink one beer before I go in,
- 36:44Speaker 2: My wife goes to work as soon as I get
- 36:46Speaker 2: off work, and we have two children. I got to
- 36:49Speaker 2: be able to drink at least one beer calm before
- 36:52Speaker 2: the storm.
- 36:54Speaker 1: I guess. Well, let me ask you this question, my friend.
- 36:58Speaker 2: I'm just going to do the math real quick. You
- 37:01Speaker 2: say you buy a three-pack, I'm guessing a Tallboys, in
- 37:06Speaker 2: two shots. As soon as you get home, you sit
- 37:08Speaker 2: in the car and drink one beer before you go in.
- 37:12Speaker 2: Why you got to buy a three-pack every day and
- 37:15Speaker 2: two shots? When do you drink the other two tall
- 37:17Speaker 2: boys and two shots? As you're being a dad. I'm
- 37:24Speaker 2: just trying to figure out the.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Math, bro.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, when I get off work, I water my
- 37:31Speaker 2: grass plants, have a beer before I go inside, but
- 37:34Speaker 2: not because of my fam, but because work was rough.
- 37:37Speaker 4: Okay.
- 37:38Speaker 1: Good morning, how's it going on?
- 37:40Speaker 9: What's up, Rome?
- 37:41Speaker 1: This is your glue, man. What up, Lou?
- 37:43Speaker 4: Hey, so I like to get home and chill in
- 37:47Speaker 4: the car.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Only two reasons, though. One is because my car has
- 37:53Speaker 3: this ridiculously cold AC, man, that I love. So if
- 37:58Speaker 3: it's a hot day, man, I'm going to be there
- 38:00Speaker 3: another five, you know, ten minutes cooling off.
- 38:04Speaker 6: And I love it.
- 38:06Speaker 3: And two, huh?
- 38:09Speaker 1: Okay, go ahead. Give me two first.
- 38:11Speaker 4: And two is I like to chill in the car if, like, my.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Favorite song comes out or a good song. Man, I'm
- 38:18Speaker 3: jamming in the car, man.
- 38:19Speaker 4: I'm not going to let just because I got to
- 38:21Speaker 4: my house stop that song. Just continue, you know, jam out,
- 38:25Speaker 4: listen to it, AC full blast, and then once it's over,
- 38:29Speaker 4: then I'll go inside.
- 38:30Speaker 1: First of all, where are you going?
- 38:35Speaker 3: It don't matter. Sometimes I'll go pick up the kids
- 38:37Speaker 3: from school or drop them off or, you know, go
- 38:42Speaker 3: get groceries. That's where I'm going.
- 38:45Speaker 4: Okay.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Somewhere in Wasco. I love to chill in the car, man.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Okay.
- 38:52Speaker 3: And if I have a B-Box after the groceries, that's
- 38:55Speaker 3: going down, too, you know, in the driveway, legally. Okay.
- 38:58Speaker 3: All right.
- 38:59Speaker 1: All right, Luke. All right, Rome. Good job. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Yo, Rome, I have a spring-loaded rubber dog on my
- 39:08Speaker 2: walk to my front door. On a bad day, I
- 39:11Speaker 2: just kick it.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Oh, God, that's horrible. Hey, Rome, what is it?
- 39:16Speaker 2: The same neighbor who offered a beer to you? Maybe
- 39:20Speaker 2: he needed that beer this time.
- 39:22Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 39:23Speaker 9: I don't know.
- 39:23Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 39:24Speaker 2: What a bother somebody when they're just sitting in the
- 39:26Speaker 2: car looking like they're collecting their thoughts, trying to figure
- 39:29Speaker 2: out what's next in life. I'm not bothering that dude
- 39:32Speaker 2: I'm going to let him ride it out if he
- 39:34Speaker 2: needs a beer he'll come by hey Rome I sit
- 39:38Speaker 2: in my oh this guy said he's sitting in his
- 39:39Speaker 2: car and pounds two tallies a day he goes come
- 39:42Speaker 2: on Rome you drink every day um.
- 39:46Speaker 1: I don't drink every day I actually I actually stop
- 39:49Speaker 1: drinking every day A few months ago.
- 39:53Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:54Speaker 2: I should probably go back to drinking every day, though.
- 39:57Speaker 2: You guys were a lot easier to deal with when
- 39:59Speaker 2: I drank every day.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Good morning, y'all. What's going on?
- 40:01Speaker 6: Top of the morning, Mr. Romeo.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Hey, what's going on, my man?
- 40:06Speaker 3: Man, Mr.
- 40:06Speaker 8: Romeo, man, I just wanted you and all the listeners
- 40:09Speaker 8: to know, man, that the Raiders are number one in
- 40:11Speaker 8: their division. And ain't nobody out there could be hating
- 40:14Speaker 8: on us right now, man.
- 40:17Speaker 1: Well, yeah, they beat the Miami Dolphins.
- 40:20Speaker 2: The Miami Dolphins are like a, what, third-rate college team?
- 40:25Speaker 8: Well, actually, you know, they do got a Super Bowl ring.
- 40:28Speaker 1: The Miami Dolphins?
- 40:30Speaker 6: Yes, they do.
- 40:31Speaker 4: In 1972?
- 40:31Speaker 8: Hey, man, these teams ain't never got one.
- 40:37Speaker 7: Wait, what?
- 40:38Speaker 8: Yeah, there's teams out there that play right now.
- 40:42Speaker 1: Oh, there's teams out there?
- 40:44Speaker 6: Yeah, that ain't never even won a ring.
- 40:47Speaker 2: But they won a ring 50 years ago.
- 40:50Speaker 8: Hey, we still in the ring club though, right?
- 40:54Speaker 1: Um, I guess.
- 40:56Speaker 2: Mr.
- 40:56Speaker 8: Romeo, man, you gotta let me just have this one
- 40:59Speaker 8: one time, man. You never know what's gonna happen next week.
- 41:03Speaker 1: Okay, I'll give you this one.
- 41:08Speaker 2: All right. Hey, Rome, the minute my husband gets off work,
- 41:11Speaker 2: he's calling me. We talk the whole ride home for him.
- 41:15Speaker 2: It's a 45 minute drive. We talk till he walks
- 41:18Speaker 2: in the door. I also call him when I get off.
- 41:21Speaker 2: I think for both of us, after a long day,
- 41:24Speaker 2: we use each other to calm our headaches. The only
- 41:28Speaker 2: time I sit in the car when I get home
- 41:29Speaker 2: is when Randy announces he's about to give out some tickets.
- 41:34Speaker 1: I really want to try to win. That's pretty funny
- 41:40Speaker 1: right there. Let's see, Rome.
- 41:43Speaker 2: KC 1-0 is better than the Raiders 1-0 because it
- 41:46Speaker 2: was a division win.
- 41:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I know. Raider fans don't know what the hell
- 41:49Speaker 1: they're talking about. I get it.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Rome, why did the Chiefs play at home again on
- 41:54Speaker 2: a primetime game? Again, it's stupid because they're the most
- 41:59Speaker 2: dominant team in the last seven years.
- 42:00Speaker 1: That's why. Or eight years. Come on, what do you mean?
- 42:03Speaker 1: What do we got here?
- 42:04Speaker 9: Hey, Rome.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Let me see here. Yo, Rome, this fool Seahawk Lou
- 42:10Speaker 1: don't even work. What's he getting home from? That's what
- 42:14Speaker 1: I'm saying. What the hell has Lou got to sit
- 42:16Speaker 1: in the car for?
- 42:17Speaker 2: Because his AC in his car is better than his
- 42:20Speaker 2: AC at home. Hey, Lou, you know, MCOR, I've been
- 42:24Speaker 2: telling you about MCOR services, Hillcrest.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Give them a call, Lou.
- 42:28Speaker 2: They'll fix your AC problems at the house. Hey, Rome,
- 42:33Speaker 2: Seahawk who has a car? See how glue has a car. Hey, Rome,
- 42:40Speaker 2: when I get home, I chill in the work truck
- 42:42Speaker 2: for about 10 minutes because I know I'm going to
- 42:44Speaker 2: walk inside.
- 42:45Speaker 1: There's going to be dishes in the sink. Trash needs
- 42:48Speaker 1: to be thrown. Nothing done around the house.
- 42:52Speaker 2: And when I walk inside, my girl's son, 26-year-old person
- 42:56Speaker 2: that doesn't work, clean, help around the house, all he
- 43:00Speaker 2: does is play video games and complain about what we
- 43:03Speaker 2: cook for dinner. So I chill and prepare myself for
- 43:06Speaker 2: what I'm about to walk into so I don't go
- 43:09Speaker 2: off on them and then suck it up and just
- 43:13Speaker 2: do everything that needs to get done in 30 minutes
- 43:17Speaker 2: when he's been home all day. It sounds like you
- 43:21Speaker 2: got an issue with the house, right, with your chick.
- 43:23Speaker 2: She better straighten him out. Hey, Rome, do you think,
- 43:27Speaker 2: let's see, do you, hey, Romeo, do you make a
- 43:30Speaker 2: right turn from the middle of the lane or do
- 43:32Speaker 2: you go, to the right and then start turning or
- 43:38Speaker 2: like it's close to the right. What are you talking about?
- 43:40Speaker 2: Why are you asking me that? I don't know. I
- 43:45Speaker 2: don't know why you're asking me that question. I have
- 43:48Speaker 2: 11 minutes from work to the house to let it
- 43:51Speaker 2: all out. As soon as I get home, it's strictly business.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Kiss the kids, kiss the wife, get attacked by our
- 43:57Speaker 2: dog and then start on dinner. and whatever's needed to
- 44:00Speaker 2: be done before we shut our eyes.
- 44:03Speaker 1: Well, I just, you know, we.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Should talk about that one day, about bringing work home
- 44:11Speaker 2: with you. I mean, a lot of you don't know
- 44:15Speaker 2: how to just let it go. I mean, once you're
- 44:17Speaker 2: off work, you're off work. I have some friends that
- 44:20Speaker 2: I don't know, they can just let it go. Like,
- 44:25Speaker 2: I can let it go. Once I leave here, I'm
- 44:30Speaker 2: done with you fools. Which is funny because if I
- 44:34Speaker 2: go out in public, I still got to deal with
- 44:36Speaker 2: you fools. But once I leave here, I could care
- 44:38Speaker 2: less about work. But I guess to be fair, you
- 44:41Speaker 2: guys don't stress me out that much, I guess. But yeah,
- 44:44Speaker 2: you got to learn to leave work at work and
- 44:46Speaker 2: get home and just enjoy whatever it is at home.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Get a dog. You want to have a better life
- 44:54Speaker 1: at home? Get a dog. In fact, get two.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Because they will love you Regardless of, they'll just love
- 45:00Speaker 2: you to death.
- 45:02Speaker 1: They just want you to come home. That's all they want.
- 45:04Speaker 9: Hi, good morning.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Hi, you're caller 29. Congratulations.
- 45:09Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 45:10Speaker 1: What's your name? Brittany. All right, Brittany, so you're in.
- 45:14Speaker 2: You're going to play four rounds of RV Tour Bingo,
- 45:16Speaker 2: I guess, music bingo. Each round you can win tickets
- 45:20Speaker 2: to Chris Brown and Usher SoFi on the 25th of
- 45:23Speaker 2: the 26th.
- 45:23Speaker 1: So we're going to do it on the 22nd, okay?
- 45:25Speaker 8: Okay.
- 45:28Speaker 7: Okay, thank you.
- 45:29Speaker 1: Have you ever played this game before? I haven't.
- 45:33Speaker 4: Okay.
- 45:33Speaker 1: All right, I hear it's pretty popular. They're doing it
- 45:35Speaker 1: all over town now, so.
- 45:38Speaker 9: All right.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Hold on, Brady. We'll get you in, okay? Okay. All right,
- 45:43Speaker 1: so there you go.
- 45:43Speaker 2: We got more chances for you to get in on
- 45:45Speaker 2: that bingo. What did you send me here? Somebody said, Romeo,
- 45:51Speaker 2: take a wild guess. Who is this? And they sent
- 45:55Speaker 2: me a picture of a little kid. um, in a
- 45:59Speaker 2: room with a computer, oh, that's gotta be Seahawk Lou, right,
- 46:06Speaker 2: that's gotta be Seahawk Lou, uh, hey, good morning, Rome, no, bruh,
- 46:11Speaker 2: what up with these, uh, chumps talking about, I wait
- 46:15Speaker 2: in the car for 10 minutes to mentally prepare myself
- 46:17Speaker 2: to cook and clean, while the female been home, she
- 46:20Speaker 2: better be 10 out of 10, and give it up
- 46:24Speaker 2: on command. If not, get rid of her and hire
- 46:27Speaker 2: a pro. Get rid of that headache. Man, value yourself, bros. Brothers,
- 46:33Speaker 2: that's why these females take advantage of so many dudes.
- 46:39Speaker 1: You know, it's funny. I had a... Gosh, I didn't.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Really want to talk about this today. A buddy of
- 46:48Speaker 2: mine is mad because he makes good money.
- 46:51Speaker 1: A real good guy.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Makes really good money, but he's been having trouble finding
- 46:56Speaker 2: a woman lately because he says once he gets with them,
- 47:01Speaker 2: they always say the right things and do the right things,
- 47:04Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden once they get into
- 47:07Speaker 2: a relationship and things get a little serious, they always change.
- 47:10Speaker 2: And he keeps asking me, he was asking me the
- 47:12Speaker 2: other day, Rome, why do they always change? And I
- 47:15Speaker 2: have a theory behind it, but I don't know if
- 47:17Speaker 2: I have time to deal with it today.
- 47:19Speaker 1: Hey, Rome.
- 47:20Speaker 2: Hey, my husband used to finish his tall can in
- 47:23Speaker 2: his personal truck before getting off at home, but now
- 47:27Speaker 2: he has a company truck, so he practically jumps out
- 47:31Speaker 2: to open his first one.
- 47:32Speaker 1: Oh, he can't finish the tall boy in the truck?
- 47:36Speaker 2: All right.
- 47:36Speaker 1: All right, so we can all take the rest of
- 47:39Speaker 1: the day off. Actually, that's not true.
- 47:40Speaker 2: I want to ask you guys something about Ritmo. You
- 47:44Speaker 2: guys don't know what Ritmo is. Ritmo is a steakhouse
- 47:47Speaker 2: over off of Hegeman. The food's amazing. drinks are delicious.
- 47:54Speaker 2: Somebody asked me about it earlier. Asked me about Ritmo.
- 47:58Speaker 2: And it's a steakhouse. And I was just there yesterday
- 48:02Speaker 2: for dinner. On a, what, just a random day of
- 48:05Speaker 2: the week. I was over there, had a steak, had
- 48:08Speaker 2: a glass of Austin. Austin Hope had a, you know,
- 48:12Speaker 2: a ribeye with some lobster mac and cheese. And vegetables
- 48:19Speaker 2: and just random day of the week. Now, the reason
- 48:22Speaker 2: I say I keep saying random day of the week
- 48:24Speaker 2: is because.
- 48:26Speaker 1: Do you remember I was actually talking to my mom
- 48:29Speaker 1: about this a couple of weeks ago and or over.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Labor Day, she came to visit and my mom goes
- 48:34Speaker 2: out to dinner all the time, lunch all the time.
- 48:37Speaker 2: And I asked her, I said, Mom, how often did
- 48:39Speaker 2: we go out to dinner when we lived on the reservation?
- 48:43Speaker 2: How often in a month would we go out to dinner?
- 48:47Speaker 2: She said maybe once. So when I was a kid,
- 48:54Speaker 2: we went out to dinner maybe once a month.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Maybe once to maybe pizza, right?
- 49:02Speaker 2: I was just out on a random day of the
- 49:04Speaker 2: week having steak and lobster mac and cheese.
- 49:07Speaker 1: How things have changed. Do you remember how many times
- 49:10Speaker 1: you went out So going out to.
- 49:15Speaker 2: Eat nowadays seems like it's almost an everyday occurrence for
- 49:18Speaker 2: a lot of people. man I don't know if anybody
- 49:21Speaker 2: even knows how to cook anymore but back in my
- 49:23Speaker 2: day when I was a kid you did not get
- 49:25Speaker 2: to go out to eat very much I mean maybe
- 49:29Speaker 2: once a month maybe you would go out once a
- 49:32Speaker 2: month for I don't know pizza you know nowadays I mean.
- 49:39Speaker 1: It's just not the same, right? R-D-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Where did
- 49:45Speaker 1: you go?
- 49:46Speaker 2: Where was the excitement when you actually got to go
- 49:49Speaker 2: out to dinner?
- 49:52Speaker 1: Where was your spot? You know, where did mom and
- 49:54Speaker 1: dad take you? R-D-4-2-5-4, 7-7. Yo, Rome, we are kind
- 49:57Speaker 1: of like you. We only went out a couple of
- 49:59Speaker 1: times a month.
- 50:05Speaker 2: But it was always a big deal when we would
- 50:08Speaker 2: go to Sizzler. The steak and all-you-can-eat shrimp. My mom
- 50:14Speaker 2: and dad loved it. So me and my brother, we
- 50:17Speaker 2: had to get dressed up like we were going out
- 50:19Speaker 2: to a fancy dinner to Sizzler.
- 50:24Speaker 1: That's funny. I mean, when I was a kid, I
- 50:30Speaker 1: worked at a Sizzler. When I just got out of
- 50:33Speaker 1: high school, I worked at a Sizzler. R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7. Steak and
- 50:38Speaker 1: all you can eat shrimp.
- 50:38Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Going out to dinner used to be a treat. I
- 50:42Speaker 2: don't know if it still is, but it used to
- 50:44Speaker 2: be a treat.
- 50:45Speaker 1: You know? R-A-4-2-5-4-7-7.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Now it just seems like moms and dads don't either
- 50:52Speaker 2: know how to cook or want to cook, so let's
- 50:54Speaker 2: just grab dinner. I talked to my mom the other
- 50:56Speaker 2: day about going out to dinner. When I was a kid,
- 50:58Speaker 2: my mom said we maybe went out to dinner once
- 51:00Speaker 2: a month, and that was an exciting treat for us.
- 51:02Speaker 2: That was, oh, my God, we're going out to dinner.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I mean, and nowadays it's not the same. People just
- 51:08Speaker 2: go out to dinner because they're too lazy to cook.
- 51:10Speaker 1: It's ridiculous. Good morning, Al. What's going on?
- 51:12Speaker 3: Okay.
- 51:13Speaker 4: Okay.
- 51:14Speaker 3: Where was that at?
- 51:28Speaker 5: On 18th Street.
- 51:29Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, yeah.
- 51:31Speaker 8: Right next to that Harley-Davidson shop.
- 51:33Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I know what you're talking about.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Yeah, because my dad was a biker, so we'd go
- 51:37Speaker 3: in the shop first, and then we'd go eat.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Oh, how crazy, and how often would you go out
- 51:44Speaker 1: to eat?
- 51:45Speaker 6: Oh, man, it was like a treat if we got
- 51:47Speaker 6: to go.
- 51:48Speaker 3: So it was like, like you said, once a month.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Once a month, yeah, wild. Once every other month.
- 51:52Speaker 3: Or somebody's birthday or something. Yeah, yeah.
- 51:56Speaker 1: You know what? Unfortunately, and that's another thing with these birthdays.
- 52:00Speaker 1: Even on somebody's birthday, we didn't go out. We stand
- 52:03Speaker 1: at the house. endeavor?
- 52:06Speaker 3: Well, you know, when your birthdays are stretched far apart,
- 52:09Speaker 3: that's pretty good.
- 52:10Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 52:10Speaker 3: But the ones that have them.
- 52:12Speaker 6: Too close together, we combine them.
- 52:15Speaker 1: We combine them into treats. Oh, my God.
- 52:19Speaker 6: When you combine them, you get to go to the buffet,
- 52:21Speaker 6: the king table.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Oh, that's great. That is great. Hey, thanks for calling.
- 52:28Speaker 4: All right.
- 52:28Speaker 3: Have a good day.
- 52:29Speaker 2: I got to tell you, though, there's nothing worse than
- 52:31Speaker 2: when you used to have to combine your birthdays with
- 52:33Speaker 2: your cousins or with your sister or brother or something
- 52:36Speaker 2: like that.
- 52:36Speaker 1: Nobody, like, combined at a birthday. R-D-4-2-5-4-7-7. But going out
- 52:41Speaker 1: used to be a treat. It really did. You know?
- 52:46Speaker 1: And nowadays, it's, yeah. Hey, Rome, are you going out
- 52:49Speaker 1: to dinner?
- 52:50Speaker 2: Going out to dinner was Far East Chinese Restaurant here
- 52:53Speaker 2: in town.
- 52:54Speaker 1: I don't think it's around anymore. Yeah, the girl just
- 52:56Speaker 1: said that. The Far East Restaurant. I mean... Yeah, going
- 52:59Speaker 1: out to dinner used to be a treat. It really did. Hey, Rome,
- 53:04Speaker 1: good morning.
- 53:05Speaker 2: I grew up in a family of 10 kids, so
- 53:07Speaker 2: we never ate out. The first time I had a pizza,
- 53:11Speaker 2: I was 17, and that's because I got a job.
- 53:14Speaker 1: Wow.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Yeah, big families are crazy, man. You never get to
- 53:18Speaker 2: go out. Going out to dinner used to be a treat.
- 53:22Speaker 2: It used to be something that you would get dressed
- 53:25Speaker 2: up for, be excited about. Nowadays, you know, It's ridiculous.
- 53:31Speaker 2: It's funny that you said a big family because my
- 53:33Speaker 2: grandmother had nine grandchildren. No, seven grandchildren. And then a
- 53:40Speaker 2: couple of came with seven, like kind of original. We're
- 53:43Speaker 2: all I was the oldest.
- 53:44Speaker 1: I was the firstborn.
- 53:45Speaker 2: And then we were kind of maybe two, two to three,
- 53:49Speaker 2: four years apart, something like that.
- 53:51Speaker 1: And we all got a little older.
- 53:53Speaker 2: My grandfather never wanted to take us all out at
- 53:56Speaker 2: one time because it was a big family. She had
- 53:58Speaker 2: eight kids, seven grandchildren. And that's a big check to
- 54:04Speaker 2: pay when you go out to dinner, right? So my grandfather,
- 54:06Speaker 2: he'd never take us out to dinner. But individually, you
- 54:11Speaker 2: got to go wherever they wanted. Like I said, my
- 54:15Speaker 2: grandfather would get up in the morning and say, hey,
- 54:17Speaker 2: I'm leaving at 5 a.m.
- 54:19Speaker 1: I'm going to McDonald's. Anybody's up. You can go. And
- 54:22Speaker 1: not all of us are getting up.
- 54:25Speaker 2: Or my grandmother used to individually invite people to lunch
- 54:28Speaker 2: when we got older. She would invite us individually to
- 54:31Speaker 2: lunch so she wouldn't have to.
- 54:32Speaker 1: Pay for everybody, for all of us. It was great.
- 54:35Speaker 1: She was a straight hustler, man, those two.
- 54:37Speaker 2: Remember when church dinner, a lot of people would go
- 54:39Speaker 2: out and have something to eat after church. You know,
- 54:54Speaker 2: that was a treat. You'd look forward to those days. Now,
- 54:57Speaker 2: you just go out whenever you want, I guess.
