- 0:00Speaker 1: And loves Louisiana loves LSU like for you and your
- 0:02Speaker 1: family because y'all are rooted somewhere.
- 0:04Speaker 2: I mean Georgia.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Your dad played Georgia. What does l s U mean
- 0:07Speaker 1: to the Week's family now.
- 0:09Speaker 3: I mean that that's my I consider Baton Rouge my
- 0:11Speaker 3: home now, all my brothers do. My dad's pretty much
- 0:14Speaker 3: there half the time and in Georgia half the time. Yeah,
- 0:17Speaker 3: we love it. Great town, great place. I mean, there's
- 0:20Speaker 3: nowhere else we'd rather be.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:22Speaker 4: So with the we can talk about all the you know,
- 0:25Speaker 4: the success in the portal and there's a ton of
- 0:27Speaker 4: success with coach oh coming back in the high school
- 0:29Speaker 4: recruiting level, like a setting up hopefully a great.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Roster for years to come.
- 0:34Speaker 4: But what has uh the biggest recruit that Lane Kiffin
- 0:39Speaker 4: secured when he got here was Blake Baker for sure,
- 0:41Speaker 4: So like what.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Did that mean to you? Uh?
- 0:44Speaker 4: Just getting him back for one? We know you, we
- 0:46Speaker 4: know you love and we know that relationship. But like
- 0:48Speaker 4: with your decision to stay here and let's let's let's
- 0:51Speaker 4: run it back one way of you, that really solidified
- 0:54Speaker 4: my decision.
- 0:54Speaker 5: Yeah, whatever, Whenever.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Coach Baker told me that he that he wasn't leaving.
- 0:58Speaker 3: I was like, all right, I'm like, I know, I
- 1:01Speaker 3: know the chemistry we have and I love playing in
- 1:03Speaker 3: his defense, and I was like, that's that's the football
- 1:05Speaker 3: that I want to play.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yeah, you're gonna have somebody next to you, TJ Doughter,
- 1:09Speaker 1: He's going to be here as well. What has that
- 1:11Speaker 1: been like? Your two veteran players. You played a lot
- 1:13Speaker 1: of football. He's coming over from Ole Miss, and look,
- 1:16Speaker 1: he's probably gonna get harder questions than anybody here this
- 1:19Speaker 1: week right because of that. But you know, Coach Kiffin said,
- 1:21Speaker 1: I think he can handle it. Obviously, he's here. He
- 1:23Speaker 1: was here for Old Miss, so he's a veteran leader.
- 1:25Speaker 1: What does it mean for you? And like, how do
- 1:27Speaker 1: you think that's gonna work out? With y'all two next
- 1:29Speaker 1: to each other in the defense. I love it.
- 1:30Speaker 5: I mean I've learned.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I've learned so much just watching TJ play this spring
- 1:34Speaker 3: and us just picking each other's minds out. I mean
- 1:36Speaker 3: we hang out all the time outside of football, you know,
- 1:39Speaker 3: hanging out, shooting basketball, whatever we're doing.
- 1:42Speaker 5: I love that dude to death, and I think our chemistry.
- 1:44Speaker 3: People are really gonna see like how the communication has
- 1:49Speaker 3: talked from the back end all the way to the
- 1:50Speaker 3: front now because we've have two veteran guys out there
- 1:53Speaker 3: with me and him. I'm pretty sure he led to
- 1:55Speaker 3: sec and snaps last year or so. That dude knows
- 1:58Speaker 3: how to play ball.
- 1:59Speaker 1: Do we fight over the green dot? I mean cause
- 2:01Speaker 1: I know I know Perk had it last year for
- 2:03Speaker 1: a reason. Like, are we fighting over the green dot?
- 2:05Speaker 1: You got a green shoot on? Is that saying something today?
- 2:07Speaker 3: No?
- 2:08Speaker 5: I got the green dot in my hand. Me and
- 2:11Speaker 5: coach Baker got that.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Yeah, but that green dot is mine for sure.
- 2:15Speaker 2: That's all right.
- 2:16Speaker 4: So summer, it is kind of getting towards the end
- 2:19Speaker 4: of summer. You're so you're so close to checking in
- 2:22Speaker 4: for training camp.
- 2:23Speaker 2: How has the summer been?
- 2:24Speaker 4: Brand new coaching staff from the top bottom, but a
- 2:27Speaker 4: lot of similarities on defense of course, by how has
- 2:31Speaker 4: it been? How is this summer different than last summer?
- 2:34Speaker 5: We've been working? That's all I say.
- 2:37Speaker 3: I mean every single day that you wake up, you
- 2:39Speaker 3: know you're in for one. You know the team run
- 2:41Speaker 3: is gonna kill you. You know you're gonna go in
- 2:43Speaker 3: the weight room right after and just get after it.
- 2:46Speaker 5: So every single week.
- 2:47Speaker 3: It's like you're just steadily building, steadily building, and then
- 2:50Speaker 3: next week we'll kind of have a little down week,
- 2:51Speaker 3: you know, just kind of recover a bit and then
- 2:53Speaker 3: roll right into camp.
- 2:54Speaker 2: That's right.
- 2:54Speaker 4: We went to a practice last last training camp, we too,
- 2:58Speaker 4: and it was about an hour and a half long.
- 2:59Speaker 4: You know that's not normal, right, yea longer than that
- 3:03Speaker 4: an hour and a half. I think that's right, all right.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And one of the things, and I've talked to Blake
- 3:09Speaker 1: Baker about this, it's bringing back the physicality to practice
- 3:13Speaker 1: as well, and not just for you know, the offense,
- 3:16Speaker 1: but like for the defense too, because you like y'all
- 3:18Speaker 1: need to see that. I know, before you played Clemson
- 3:21Speaker 1: last year. I'm talking with Blake. He goes, man, I
- 3:23Speaker 1: just don't know if our run fits are where they
- 3:24Speaker 1: need to be because we need to be a little
- 3:25Speaker 1: bit more physical. And I know, look one thing about
- 3:29Speaker 1: Lane Kiffin in offense, he gonna run the football right
- 3:31Speaker 1: like I know everybody thinks it's like air raid and stuff,
- 3:33Speaker 1: because they go fast. They want to run the football.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Have you noticed that in practice that there's a little
- 3:37Speaker 1: bit of more of a physicality, certainly in the run
- 3:40Speaker 1: game to try to get ready.
- 3:41Speaker 5: Oh yeah, definitely.
- 3:42Speaker 3: I mean I didn't go through the spring, but they
- 3:44Speaker 3: were hitting every single practice for fifteen straight practices during
- 3:47Speaker 3: the spring. Yeah, so that's what we get during the spring.
- 3:50Speaker 3: I can't wait to see what we're doing during camp.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Yeap.
- 3:53Speaker 4: How good a shape y'all going to be in going
- 3:55Speaker 4: against this offense every day. I know speed is the
- 3:58Speaker 4: name of the game and the lane Kiffin's. It's gonna
- 4:01Speaker 4: help the offense, of course, but it's got to help
- 4:04Speaker 4: y'all on defense.
- 4:05Speaker 3: I think it'll help us more than them because we
- 4:06Speaker 3: play for the fastest offenses in the country.
- 4:09Speaker 1: Yeah, but then.
- 4:11Speaker 3: We play the fastest country, the fastest offense in the country.
- 4:14Speaker 3: I practice every day, so it's just going to prepare
- 4:16Speaker 3: us to play those teams.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 4:17Speaker 4: What is the schematically What are some of the challenges
- 4:21Speaker 4: that y'all take because you're watching them every single day
- 4:24Speaker 4: because you're watching you, you're watching your defense, but of
- 4:27Speaker 4: course you're going against that lane Kiffn offense. What is
- 4:30Speaker 4: some schematically things that they do that create a lot
- 4:33Speaker 4: of challenges.
- 4:33Speaker 3: I'd say the biggest challenge that I've realized so far
- 4:35Speaker 3: is they'll give you the same picture, but they got
- 4:38Speaker 3: eight different route combinations run plays that they'll do out
- 4:41Speaker 3: of the exact same picture. Whereas some offenses, you look
- 4:44Speaker 3: at it and you're like, okay, when this receiver's cut,
- 4:46Speaker 3: two's on the ball over here, you know exactly what
- 4:48Speaker 3: you're getting. So I'm out there and I'm like, okay,
- 4:50Speaker 3: this is the same picture. I know exactly what he's
- 4:52Speaker 3: about to do. He's running and under and then they
- 4:54Speaker 3: snapped the ball and he vertical released, and I'm like, right,
- 4:56Speaker 3: all right, now, we just got to play, you know.
- 4:58Speaker 3: So you can't really pick up on what they're doing
- 5:01Speaker 3: because they'll give you the exact same look and then
- 5:03Speaker 3: run something totally certific tendencies.
- 5:06Speaker 4: For our listeners out there, he's telling you that on offense,
- 5:09Speaker 4: you're allowed to run more than one running play out
- 5:11Speaker 4: of the same formation.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Just for LSU fans. I forgot about that last year.
- 5:14Speaker 1: You don't have to answer this. You can run more
- 5:16Speaker 1: than inside zone. It's not illegal, and that's what you're
- 5:18Speaker 1: gonna get this year, all right. So I do feel
- 5:22Speaker 1: like you are a coach on the field as well.
- 5:24Speaker 1: You've been there a long time, You've played so much football.
- 5:26Speaker 1: You've got a great relationship. You mentioned I talked to
- 5:28Speaker 1: everybody before you know they even signed with LSU, So
- 5:31Speaker 1: you know the roster. Give us some names, give our
- 5:34Speaker 1: listeners some names of maybe some new players that maybe
- 5:36Speaker 1: they don't know as well right now, because they're coming
- 5:39Speaker 1: in from the portal that you think are going to
- 5:41Speaker 1: be you know, the reason why you get to where
- 5:43Speaker 1: you want to go. I'd say a.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Guy who's coming back who I think is just going
- 5:47Speaker 3: to have an amazing season is PJ Woodland.
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm glad you said I think.
- 5:52Speaker 5: He's the next great one from THEBU.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I really do, because you know, sometimes and you got
- 5:57Speaker 1: a lot of really good players that play that position,
- 6:00Speaker 1: and they were five stars and they were talked about
- 6:02Speaker 1: for a long time, which is great. It's fine, but
- 6:04Speaker 1: I feel like he does get lost in the shuffle
- 6:05Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 6:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I mean, he's a guy who we've brought in transfers
- 6:08Speaker 3: at that position and he's just continued to work and continued.
- 6:11Speaker 5: To beat everybody out.
- 6:12Speaker 3: So you love you love to see a guy who
- 6:13Speaker 3: loves LSU and loves playing and I mean me and him.
- 6:16Speaker 3: Every time he has a pass breakup, we get so
- 6:18Speaker 3: excited out there. So I love playing with him.
- 6:20Speaker 5: His energy. It's contagious for sure.
- 6:22Speaker 1: All Right, So give us an offensive player. Maybe that's
- 6:24Speaker 1: going to be a little bit new. And I know
- 6:25Speaker 1: you said you didn't go through the spring, but you
- 6:27Speaker 1: know football, You watch film, you watch practice, Like, is
- 6:29Speaker 1: there somebody out there that's going to be a problem.
- 6:32Speaker 5: Yeah, Bo Bordelawn, He's a dude. He's a dude.
- 6:35Speaker 1: This is we talked about him two weeks ago. Yeah,
- 6:37Speaker 1: this is his.
- 6:38Speaker 3: Fifth year and he's just now finally breaking through the
- 6:40Speaker 3: starting roster.
- 6:41Speaker 5: And I mean that dude. He's the hardest working guy
- 6:43Speaker 5: on our team by far.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Well, that's what we were talking about, Like, if Bo's
- 6:46Speaker 1: getting a starting job, there was three, four or five
- 6:49Speaker 1: other people that were supposed to get that job. If
- 6:51Speaker 1: Bo gets that job, it wasn't given to him. No,
- 6:54Speaker 1: he earned it, maybe more than anybody's starting job on
- 6:56Speaker 1: the team, because again, these four or five people were
- 6:59Speaker 1: supposed to So I love hearing you say he earned
- 7:02Speaker 1: it through work percent.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Yeah, fifth year guy as and I'm sure for the
- 7:08Speaker 4: guy that's been there a long time, he gets that
- 7:09Speaker 4: start in the same school, yeah, fifth the same school,
- 7:12Speaker 4: very rare, but he gets that. I bet there was
- 7:15Speaker 4: a little smile and y'all had a little smile when
- 7:18Speaker 4: he got named a starter.
- 7:19Speaker 5: Oh yeah, for sure, definitely.
- 7:20Speaker 3: I mean me and him really were like, I feel
- 7:23Speaker 3: like our whole team this year is pretty much made
- 7:25Speaker 3: up of the portal. So me and him are two
- 7:27Speaker 3: guys who have been here the longest. We know what
- 7:29Speaker 3: LSU's about. So we were able to kind of set
- 7:32Speaker 3: the tone and kind of like trickle what LSU is
- 7:34Speaker 3: about into all these new transfer guys.
- 7:36Speaker 4: Yeah, so what when the dust settles from this twenty
- 7:40Speaker 4: twenty sixth season and you look back on it, what
- 7:43Speaker 4: is going to what is your goal to say, Man,
- 7:46Speaker 4: that was a successful season, win.
- 7:50Speaker 5: The national Championship. I understand that.
- 7:53Speaker 3: You know, my previous three seasons here, we've lost a
- 7:56Speaker 3: lot of football games, and that's that's not me.
- 7:59Speaker 5: That's not what LSU is about.
- 8:02Speaker 1: So that's what I wake up with every.
- 8:04Speaker 3: Morning as I think, Wow, like, this isn't what I
- 8:06Speaker 3: want my career to be here. I don't want to
- 8:08Speaker 3: be a team that loses five six games a year, Like,
- 8:11Speaker 3: that's not LSU.
- 8:12Speaker 5: That's not the legacy that I want to leave at LSU.
- 8:14Speaker 3: So that's what I wake up with every morning, knowing
- 8:16Speaker 3: that I haven't won a lot of ball games here,
- 8:18Speaker 3: but I want to write that narrative and go, go.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Do what we should do.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Yeah, as a leader on this team, and there's a
- 8:27Speaker 1: week three game that everybody wants to talk about, right,
- 8:29Speaker 1: They want to jump immediately to that one. You got
- 8:33Speaker 1: Clemson Week one, right, and it feels like, and look
- 8:35Speaker 1: that other team's got another really good team too. It
- 8:38Speaker 1: feels like for older players like it's going to be
- 8:41Speaker 1: the first couple of weeks to remind everybody on the team.
- 8:44Speaker 2: We can't do that.
- 8:45Speaker 1: We cannot look ahead. We've got a team coming in
- 8:47Speaker 1: that we beat last year. They've got good enough players
- 8:49Speaker 1: to come in and embarrass us on our own stadium.
- 8:52Speaker 1: As a leader, how do you make sure that everybody
- 8:54Speaker 1: looks at week one again, it's Clemson, it's a major opponent,
- 8:57Speaker 1: it's a major program, and not all the hype that's
- 8:59Speaker 1: already going into Week three.
- 9:01Speaker 5: You just got to focus day to day.
- 9:03Speaker 3: You got to know that, honestly, we haven't even started
- 9:05Speaker 3: talking about Clemton yet because we got to focus on
- 9:07Speaker 3: where our feet are right now in the summer, the
- 9:09Speaker 3: summer program, you know, in the weight room, on the field,
- 9:13Speaker 3: getting in the best shape of your life. And then
- 9:14Speaker 3: come camp we'll start talking about Clemson a little.
- 9:17Speaker 5: So we haven't.
- 9:17Speaker 3: We haven't even had a thought of that. And I
- 9:19Speaker 3: know everybody hypes up week three, but I mean we're
- 9:22Speaker 3: just we're just focused on the right now.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Yeah, set the tone early, isn't that right?
- 9:26Speaker 3: Oh?
- 9:26Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 9:27Speaker 4: Hey, so we talked about y'all, y'all grinding summer workouts,
- 9:30Speaker 4: but any good fishing this summer.
- 9:33Speaker 5: I did get to go down to grandele once.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Okay, all right, there you go, all right, all right,
- 9:38Speaker 2: last one.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I think he's gonna break our heart again. Have you
- 9:41Speaker 1: watched Farsity Blues for us yet?
- 9:43Speaker 3: No, Jesus, I can't remember last time I even watched
- 9:47Speaker 3: the TV.
- 9:48Speaker 2: I know, but you told us a year ago, you promised.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Okay, now, don't even those just fall on death hears
- 9:58Speaker 1: with You're the man. We've appreciate you man for wit weeks.
- 10:02Speaker 1: LSU all American linebacker good enough to join us more
- 10:05Speaker 1: OTB when we come back here Live from Tampa. Off
- 10:08Speaker 1: the Bench.
- 10:10Speaker 6: Live from the twenty twenty six SEC Football Media Days
- 10:14Speaker 6: in Tampa presented by FMOL Health, our Lady of the
- 10:17Speaker 6: Lake Relief, Windows, Rev Fiber and Farrish Construction and Roofing.
- 10:42Speaker 1: All right, welcome back in OTV. Here live our continue
- 10:45Speaker 1: coverage of SEC Media Days live from Tampa, Florida. Just
- 10:50Speaker 1: had LSU linebacker Wit Weeks join us. Always a pleasure
- 10:54Speaker 1: looking sharp And my man played the whole summer of
- 10:59Speaker 1: summer baseball and didn't get a single hit.
- 11:01Speaker 2: That's what I took away from That's the only thing.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Like I couldn't hear anything.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Once he said it.
- 11:05Speaker 2: I was like, well, a single hit.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Well, you can say a lot of things, but I
- 11:09Speaker 1: don't know. Man. You couldn't luck your way. You couldn't
- 11:11Speaker 1: bump one down the third baseline. You're fast, Yeah, you
- 11:16Speaker 1: gotta get on base at least start intimidating people. Yeah,
- 11:19Speaker 1: like you have to.
- 11:21Speaker 4: And he couldn't even get on base. That's okay though,
- 11:23Speaker 4: that's why he's not playing baseball at LSU. It's playing football,
- 11:27Speaker 4: and he's ready to roll. He did look good though,
- 11:30Speaker 4: he looked great. Someone in the chats that he looks
- 11:32Speaker 4: like he's hiding razor blades under his hat.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what I mean, Little Peak little peak,
- 11:36Speaker 1: little peak, little blinders.
- 11:37Speaker 2: It was funny.
- 11:38Speaker 4: It is confirmed he did not throw up before media days,
- 11:43Speaker 4: because he throws up. He said he didn't.
- 11:45Speaker 1: I don't know, so good to catch up with him.
- 11:49Speaker 1: He's a great ambassador for LSU. And again like his
- 11:53Speaker 1: family's dad played at Georgia, was really good player at Georgia.
- 11:56Speaker 1: But you know, now you've had three weeks, brothers rolled
- 11:59Speaker 1: through the program a couple a couple of big takeaways
- 12:03Speaker 1: from win. First time that he hadn't had to rehab
- 12:07Speaker 1: an injury in a year and a half. Yeah, now
- 12:10Speaker 1: he's played and I still don't know how he played
- 12:13Speaker 1: in some of those late games last year knowing the
- 12:15Speaker 1: injury that he had, but he wanted to be out
- 12:17Speaker 1: there with his brothers. I can appreciate it. It's very
- 12:19Speaker 1: meadhead of him. That's why we love him. But he
- 12:22Speaker 1: is ready to go and doesn't have to go into
- 12:25Speaker 1: the training room before and after a practice, will work
- 12:28Speaker 1: out a game for the first time in a year
- 12:30Speaker 1: and a half, he's gonna be flying around and that's
- 12:32Speaker 1: the thing we love about wid weeks when he's flying
- 12:34Speaker 1: around making plays all around the football.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and he looks he looked big.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, he's always like you around people, That's
- 12:43Speaker 4: what people always like. They see me, they're like, oh,
- 12:45Speaker 4: you're taller or not thought you were. Well, that's because
- 12:47Speaker 4: I'm around really big people. Ye don't get that very often.
- 12:51Speaker 4: I don't know why, But what's kind of the same way.
- 12:54Speaker 4: It's like he kind of looks a little bit shorter
- 12:57Speaker 4: on the field just because he's around big people. But yeah,
- 12:59Speaker 4: he's a big dude, and he looks like what he said,
- 13:02Speaker 4: They've had a really hard and grinding summer conditioning program,
- 13:07Speaker 4: so extremely excited to see what he can do. Of course,
- 13:11Speaker 4: like Jake just mentioned, not rehabbing right now and just
- 13:15Speaker 4: getting to work get in his body ready.
- 13:18Speaker 2: So it's uh.
- 13:20Speaker 4: When we talked to him, the thing that stuck out
- 13:22Speaker 4: to me the most was when, of course I asked
- 13:27Speaker 4: him what the goal was, like, what is a successful
- 13:29Speaker 4: season to him? Well, of course national championship. Yeah, that's
- 13:33Speaker 4: why a guy like Witweeks comes back. And he paused
- 13:36Speaker 4: the second like, Okay, well it's time to call the
- 13:39Speaker 4: shot right here, right that that's going to be the
- 13:41Speaker 4: successful season. And I'm like, that's what we are doing
- 13:44Speaker 4: all of this for. So the he was looking at me,
- 13:48Speaker 4: so I don't know if you could see it, but
- 13:49Speaker 4: like the the pain in his eyes when he had
- 13:54Speaker 4: to say, sit here and say, I know that I've
- 13:56Speaker 4: lost a lot of games.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Here at LSU, and that's not what LSU was about.
- 14:01Speaker 2: So he understands.
- 14:03Speaker 1: The torch almost felt like he said it like, I
- 14:06Speaker 1: know we've disappointed you. Yeah, it was really it really did.
- 14:10Speaker 2: And you could see that he knows that's not the standard.
- 14:13Speaker 4: The standard of what has happened in the last couple
- 14:15Speaker 4: of years from a just a win lost standpoint is
- 14:18Speaker 4: not the LSU standard.
- 14:19Speaker 1: Yeah, he knows that he's holding that torch, and I
- 14:26Speaker 1: got I got fired up talking to him. I always do.
- 14:29Speaker 4: I mean, that's that's that's the do that's the guy
- 14:31Speaker 4: that you want to be the voice of your football
- 14:34Speaker 4: team is.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Going to be the green dot. I don't know if
- 14:36Speaker 1: he's supposed to tell us that. We kind of pried
- 14:39Speaker 1: a little bit.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what made he should have the green dot.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And look, I know Perkins had it for certain reasons
- 14:47Speaker 1: last year. They want to make sure getting in the
- 14:49Speaker 1: right position because he was kind of moving all over
- 14:51Speaker 1: the place a little bit. But yeah, that's the heart
- 14:54Speaker 1: and soul of your team, not just your defense. And
- 14:57Speaker 1: I don't say that lightly because I don't give that
- 14:59Speaker 1: over it to defense of guys.
- 15:01Speaker 2: No very offensive guys. Players are usually pretty dump.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Big, big dumb dumbs, which Gap is a coach, so
- 15:08Speaker 1: to have him and I love to hear him talk
- 15:09Speaker 1: about the offense and realizing you can't, you know, just
- 15:12Speaker 1: go into tendencies because they can do so many different things,
- 15:14Speaker 1: and him walking through.
- 15:15Speaker 4: It both when he said, my god, they lined up
- 15:19Speaker 4: and they were in a formation and he's like, it's
- 15:22Speaker 4: it's amazing you're in this formation and they could run
- 15:25Speaker 4: a couple of different running plays at the same time.
- 15:27Speaker 4: And I'm like, well, that's not that's not special, that's
- 15:33Speaker 4: just football.
- 15:33Speaker 2: That's just normal.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Right there, buddy, you have seen something that's not normal
- 15:39Speaker 1: in the last couple of years. Oh boy, we left
- 15:42Speaker 1: so we don't cry. Yeah. PJ Woodland getting shout out
- 15:45Speaker 1: was big.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:46Speaker 1: I asked this person because I said, like, give me
- 15:50Speaker 1: a transfer almost like give me a new player, and
- 15:52Speaker 1: he said, I hear your question, but I'm going to
- 15:54Speaker 1: answer the way I want to, and I'm gonna tell
- 15:56Speaker 1: you PJ Woodland is the guy that everybody needs to
- 15:59Speaker 1: know more about. And PJ. He's been at LSU for
- 16:01Speaker 1: a long time. People can't stop talking about him, like
- 16:06Speaker 1: when you but you gotta you gotta pry it out
- 16:08Speaker 1: of him. And it's people the one like the people
- 16:11Speaker 1: in the building. They understand that. But it's one of
- 16:14Speaker 1: those deals. And I didn't want to be smirch another
- 16:16Speaker 1: player like by bringing them up you know what I mean,
- 16:19Speaker 1: and be like, oh, well, this guy can talk because
- 16:20Speaker 1: like some of the like DJ Pickett's really good. I
- 16:23Speaker 1: get it. I understand he's a stuff. He starts a
- 16:25Speaker 1: true freshman every game. But because of that, sometimes guys
- 16:28Speaker 1: get lost in the shuffle, like a PJ. Woodland. And
- 16:30Speaker 1: if your defensive captain immediately says his name, that's gonna
- 16:35Speaker 1: make me star his name and get excited about it.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Yeah, you said give me one player from the team. Yeah,
- 16:40Speaker 4: they didn't say defense. That's gonna stick out he said
- 16:42Speaker 4: from the team. Yeah, that's where he went right there.
- 16:45Speaker 4: And of course it's a guy in a corner.
- 16:46Speaker 1: For a linebacker to say a corner, that's true. They
- 16:50Speaker 1: usually you know, front seven guy, typically.
- 16:53Speaker 4: We're gonna stay I'm only talking I'm backing the backers here. Yeah,
- 16:58Speaker 4: so yeah, it's all and then on the offensive side
- 17:01Speaker 4: of the ball, low barterline.
- 17:03Speaker 1: Yeah, so what a cool story. They're all fired up
- 17:06Speaker 1: for him.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:06Speaker 4: It's kind of like you know when you have the
- 17:09Speaker 4: the walk on guy that gets the gets the scholarship
- 17:13Speaker 4: team celebrates.
- 17:14Speaker 2: It's like, well, Bo, you're starting out, like, yeah, let's going.
- 17:17Speaker 2: I know you worked for it, and I know you.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Earned it, which is most important pay and look, and
- 17:20Speaker 1: Bo's a scholarship player for sure. But I think for
- 17:23Speaker 1: us the thing that is exciting to hear because we've
- 17:26Speaker 1: been in locker rooms like Matt's talking about, you're so
- 17:28Speaker 1: excited for him, But again, I was that guy. This
- 17:31Speaker 1: wasn't Yeah, that was you your senior year. Like we
- 17:35Speaker 1: were like, oh, poor Matt Man, poor man, Like that
- 17:37Speaker 1: guy a love but is he gonna get out here?
- 17:39Speaker 2: Good for him?
- 17:41Speaker 1: So for Bo, we bring it up because there was
- 17:45Speaker 1: people brought in to be that guy through high school recruiting,
- 17:49Speaker 1: this year, last year, whatever, and certainly through the portal.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And Bo's been a guy that switched jerseys a couple
- 17:55Speaker 1: of times during games because he's played a little tight end.
- 17:57Speaker 1: He's playing a little guard. He's playing some specialty. It
- 18:01Speaker 1: was not given to him. He had to go earn it.
- 18:03Speaker 1: And when I say he had to go earn it,
- 18:05Speaker 1: he had to earn it about seven different times in
- 18:07Speaker 1: seven different ways probably.
- 18:09Speaker 4: So those are good things, yeah, for sure, And that's
- 18:12Speaker 4: that is what you want, especially on an offensive line
- 18:18Speaker 4: group that struggled last year. Now we can talk about
- 18:20Speaker 4: the reasons why they struggled, but as a team, the
- 18:23Speaker 4: offensive line group did not perform the way your offensive
- 18:27Speaker 4: line group should. Now I am, I am very hesitant
- 18:31Speaker 4: to blame the players on that because I think this
- 18:34Speaker 4: scheme did the no favors, the coaching did no favors.
- 18:37Speaker 4: But you want your offensive line to go out there
- 18:40Speaker 4: and earn their spot, ye, earn their playing time, and
- 18:44Speaker 4: that's certainly a BO has done just that. So excited
- 18:47Speaker 4: to see just this entire offense work. Man, There's one
- 18:50Speaker 4: thing that I know is that both the offensive players
- 18:53Speaker 4: and defensive players are going to be in real good
- 18:56Speaker 4: shape come the thumbson game.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:58Speaker 1: I just feel like that's kind of one of the
- 19:00Speaker 1: things you don't really have to ask them about it. Yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 1: Like they just kind of bring it up organically. Through
- 19:04Speaker 1: their talk. And if you've got a strength coach his
- 19:07Speaker 1: last name Savage, yep, it kind of tells you all
- 19:11Speaker 1: you need to know, Yeah.
- 19:12Speaker 2: For sure.
- 19:12Speaker 4: And it's just from like just from you know, training
- 19:16Speaker 4: camps about callous and the body getting and you have
- 19:18Speaker 4: to hit working through the suck.
- 19:20Speaker 2: Working through the suck, and you get used to it.
- 19:22Speaker 4: But when your offense works at the speed that in
- 19:25Speaker 4: which Lane Kivin's offense is going to work, you got
- 19:29Speaker 4: no choice but to not only callous your body, but
- 19:31Speaker 4: to get in damn good shape. And that's like, that's
- 19:34Speaker 4: kind of a cliche to say, man, this team's in
- 19:36Speaker 4: really good shape going into training camp. Like that's everybody
- 19:39Speaker 4: says that because everybody's in good shape.
- 19:41Speaker 2: You are college football team, you should be.
- 19:44Speaker 4: But like once training camp starts, they're gonna get in
- 19:47Speaker 4: better shape. That usually doesn't happen from like a conditioning standpoint.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Yeah. So, like I think for you know, so coach Savage,
- 19:56Speaker 1: who is the strength coach, now, the expectation of what
- 20:00Speaker 1: kind of shape to be in has to be higher
- 20:02Speaker 1: than anybody else because Lane knowing what he's going to
- 20:06Speaker 1: ask and demand certainly of the offensive players, right, Like
- 20:10Speaker 1: that that had to be like a formula that they've
- 20:12Speaker 1: all kind of come up with together, knowing that, hey,
- 20:14Speaker 1: we got to be strong. We can't lose weight and
- 20:17Speaker 1: lean up because we're doing but we got to come
- 20:19Speaker 1: up with a formula to still keep our shing. But
- 20:21Speaker 1: we're going to run the you know what out of
- 20:23Speaker 1: them in our offense like we are. We don't celebrate
- 20:25Speaker 1: first downs. We run the ball to the middle of
- 20:28Speaker 1: the field, we run it to the official, and we
- 20:29Speaker 1: are on the line and we are ready to go.
- 20:32Speaker 1: I would like if we play in that offense, I'd
- 20:35Speaker 1: be I've been looking over at Larry Porter like, hey,
- 20:37Speaker 1: you're gonna get You're gonna get somebody else in here
- 20:39Speaker 1: real quick. After about six six of those plays.
- 20:41Speaker 4: I gotta tell you, Chef, Michael Johnson's got his work
- 20:43Speaker 4: cut out for him. Gotta keep the calories up, got
- 20:45Speaker 4: to keep the pro team. Maybe take a little extra
- 20:47Speaker 4: CREA team this training camp, because like you said, big boys, you.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Don't want to like easy with all that run to
- 20:53Speaker 2: kind of lean up.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I mean, you can lose eleven pounds in a training camp.
- 20:57Speaker 4: Yeah, Carl, Chef, you got your work cut out for
- 20:59Speaker 4: You've been cuttle extra pounds on that that steak order.
- 21:02Speaker 1: I got faith in him.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Speaking of steak, Whit said he was done with the steak.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Well, yeah, he's like, hey guys, I like steak, but
- 21:11Speaker 1: I'm recruiting everybody on this roster. It's almost too much.
- 21:14Speaker 1: He said he had to cut the butter off steak
- 21:16Speaker 1: for sure.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Yeah, definitely. You know, first world problems right there.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Yeah, did we get steak as recruits like once? Maybe,
- 21:24Speaker 1: like only during the official visit, that's right, The official
- 21:27Speaker 1: was that, like the official visit. I don't remember if
- 21:30Speaker 1: something like that mine. They took us up like yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 1: at the top of that at the top of the
- 21:35Speaker 1: downtown building like the Chase building or something. But it
- 21:38Speaker 1: was a top level they did that. They didn't take
- 21:41Speaker 1: the fullbacks there, but yeah, it was still more I
- 21:45Speaker 1: think the Sullivan's that you get.
- 21:46Speaker 2: You passed the Hooters up to get to it. Well,
- 21:49Speaker 2: I'm in nice, nice little steak there.
- 21:50Speaker 1: That was we didn't get. The rooftop. Didn't get the
- 21:54Speaker 1: the rooftop wasn't I mean, I don't even know if
- 21:56Speaker 1: it was a restaurant. Just like, bring in some food,
- 22:00Speaker 1: bring some food.
- 22:01Speaker 4: It's on that it's on the it's on the foil
- 22:03Speaker 4: tray with the little candle underneath it keeping it warm.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Yeah, all this big stops for the big four star quarterback,
- 22:10Speaker 1: not with the everybody big ankles. All right, we'll take
- 22:13Speaker 1: a break more OTB when we come back here live

- 23:27Speaker 6: Live from the twenty twenty six SEC Football Media Days
- 23:31Speaker 6: in Tampa, presented by FMOL Health, our Lady of the
- 23:34Speaker 6: Lake Relief, Windows, rev Fiber, and Farish Construction and roofings.
- 24:29Speaker 1: All right, welcome back in ot B here live from Tampa, Florida,
- 24:34Speaker 1: continuing our coverage of SEC Media Days. It is LSU day.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Just had wit weeks on a little bit ago. Uh,
- 24:42Speaker 1: Lane Kiffin gonna take the podium here in about thirty
- 24:46Speaker 1: minutes from now, and so we will carry that here
- 24:49Speaker 1: live with you on the station. When Lane is on
- 24:52Speaker 1: the podium, of course, there's a couple of other LSU players. TJ.
- 24:55Speaker 1: Dotttery is here. You've got tre des Green the very
- 25:00Speaker 1: out to tight end as well. I don't look, I
- 25:01Speaker 1: don't know if we're get a chance to catch up
- 25:03Speaker 1: with TJ R. With trade as you know, we want
- 25:05Speaker 1: to catch up with our guy, wait weeks, even though
- 25:08Speaker 1: he definitely let us down.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Yeah, well he's a liar.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Evan is a liar.
- 25:18Speaker 2: He said he would watch Varsity Blues a year, hit
- 25:20Speaker 2: a year.
- 25:20Speaker 1: We gave him a year, which I think is a
- 25:23Speaker 1: fair amount of time to watch a great movie, and
- 25:26Speaker 1: he didn't do it.
- 25:29Speaker 2: I mean, why would you do it?
- 25:31Speaker 4: I don't know giving him let me ask you this, Okay, So,
- 25:35Speaker 4: of all the players to come through SEC Media Days
- 25:40Speaker 4: this year, is anybody going to be susceptible to tougher
- 25:46Speaker 4: questions than TJ Daughters?
- 25:47Speaker 1: I don't think so. I think more than anybody here
- 25:50Speaker 1: at Media Days, he's going to be the one.
- 25:53Speaker 6: He is.
- 25:55Speaker 1: It's not the old miss players like Look, I had
- 25:57Speaker 1: Trendad Chambliss and heck key one. See I had those
- 26:00Speaker 1: guys yesterday, and you know them answering an LSU question
- 26:03Speaker 1: is going to be completely different. Did they get asked
- 26:05Speaker 1: tough questions? Maybe? I don't know. TJ is going to
- 26:08Speaker 1: get the worst. He's the Old Miss player that went
- 26:12Speaker 1: to l s U and is here at media days now.
- 26:14Speaker 1: He was here for Old Miss. He's been here before.
- 26:17Speaker 1: This this, this part of it is not new to him.
- 26:19Speaker 1: But he's going to be the villain and everybody's eyes
- 26:22Speaker 1: everybody but one table here, this table, this one, that's
- 26:26Speaker 1: the only table that he is not going to be
- 26:27Speaker 1: seen as the villain right wrong on different place. It
- 26:31Speaker 1: is a very safe place, safe haven right here on
- 26:34Speaker 1: O TV. But also like him, have already been through
- 26:39Speaker 1: a media day with Lane deciding that he was the
- 26:41Speaker 1: guy to go. That does tell you that Lane thinks
- 26:44Speaker 1: he can handle the heat. Because it's gonna be hot.
- 26:47Speaker 1: He's gonna get some hot questions.
- 26:48Speaker 2: It is, and it kind of just and that's the
- 26:52Speaker 2: job of.
- 26:54Speaker 4: The l s U s idea and their team. It's
- 26:57Speaker 4: their job to protect him in this kind of situation.
- 27:00Speaker 4: I'm probably not gonna go sit down with many local
- 27:02Speaker 4: Mississippi radio stations this morning, but he is, he's gonna
- 27:06Speaker 4: he's gonna, I would assume, get tough questions. But you
- 27:11Speaker 4: know what, just like you said, Trinidad, they got tough
- 27:15Speaker 4: questions yesterday and they were trained on how to deal
- 27:17Speaker 4: with them, and they this is the training lame Kiffin
- 27:20Speaker 4: obviously said, this is a guy that can handle this
- 27:22Speaker 4: type of pressure. But good for him for bringing a
- 27:24Speaker 4: guy here that did make the transfer. If I'm all missed,
- 27:27Speaker 4: l shoot, let's not shy.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Away from this. We all did this, we all knew
- 27:31Speaker 2: what we were doing, and we're past it. Let's go
- 27:34Speaker 2: play some football. Let's have a good football season.
- 27:36Speaker 4: So I'll be interested to hear what he says, but
- 27:40Speaker 4: I'm sure it's going to be a lot of just
- 27:41Speaker 4: defusing the situation.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think there's a lot of people that
- 27:46Speaker 1: want to get to what you're talking about, boot meeting ball,
- 27:48Speaker 1: getting to a kickoff because my guy, can we just
- 27:51Speaker 1: not talk? And look, I'm sure Old Miss players in fact,
- 27:54Speaker 1: I know they are. I mean I talked to him
- 27:56Speaker 1: yesterday about it. Can we just get to even training
- 27:59Speaker 1: can practices? You're still getting little bit, but they're not
- 28:02Speaker 1: you know, the media stuff. The players don't do media
- 28:04Speaker 1: like that in training camp in college. They just want
- 28:06Speaker 1: to get to that point. And Ole Miss wants to
- 28:08Speaker 1: get the Louisville and LSU wants to get to Clemson
- 28:10Speaker 1: and just kick the ball off because once it dude,
- 28:12Speaker 1: you know this, we all know this. Once it's kicked off,
- 28:15Speaker 1: then there's narratives out there. But there's so much smaller
- 28:18Speaker 1: because it's the off season. Everybody in here, right, Well,
- 28:22Speaker 1: a couple of things. They're trying to find a way
- 28:24Speaker 1: to breathe out of their nose. That's the first thing,
- 28:26Speaker 1: that stuff, and then the second thing that like they're
- 28:29Speaker 1: trying to grab any storyline and just try to make
- 28:31Speaker 1: it as big as they possibly can because there's not
- 28:33Speaker 1: a lot see all season season. But that's like Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You know, LSU's not here and l Sho's talked about, right,
- 28:42Speaker 1: People ask the questions, give me the biggest storyline in
- 28:44Speaker 1: the SEC this year at media days, and you can't
- 28:46Speaker 1: pick Lane Kiffin and LSU. That's what they're saying, because
- 28:49Speaker 1: it's like everybody's doing the same thing, right I. My
- 28:53Speaker 1: hope is once boot meets Ball, all of that just
- 28:57Speaker 1: goes away and we talk about XS and OZ, we
- 29:00Speaker 1: talk about guys on the field, we talk about matchups
- 29:04Speaker 1: because right now that's cute.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Though cute as you take though, Sorry, that's gonna be
- 29:09Speaker 2: some good story.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I mean during the week when that comes that we
- 29:12Speaker 1: comes back, no doubt it's going to be hammered.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it is. Yeah, I'm excited to see how
- 29:18Speaker 2: I handle it. I was.
- 29:19Speaker 4: I was watching Trinidad yesterday and our guy Cobble was like, hey,
- 29:23Speaker 4: tell me about you know, what are the quarterbacks getting
- 29:25Speaker 4: from Lane Kiffin. I was like, man, that guy does
- 29:27Speaker 4: not want to answer that question right now. He wants
- 29:29Speaker 4: to answer questions about his coach. You're not giving advice
- 29:34Speaker 4: tell issues quarterbacks come.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Yeah, but they did.
- 29:37Speaker 2: I thought I thought they did it. They did a
- 29:39Speaker 2: nice show. How were they? How was a Makwan Lacey
- 29:42Speaker 2: and uh interviewed them?
- 29:44Speaker 1: Lay is a little bit more reserved, a little bit
- 29:48Speaker 1: shorter answers there, and you know, he's just I think
- 29:51Speaker 1: he's ready to play ball. And we talked about that.
- 29:53Speaker 1: He talked about that over and over again. But Trinidad
- 29:55Speaker 1: Chambus is going to run for some kind of I
- 29:59Speaker 1: don't senator Congress type brawl somewhere. That that guy is
- 30:03Speaker 1: buttoned up. He's sharp. He walked around the room, shook
- 30:06Speaker 1: everybody's hand, including the engineer and whoever was in the room,
- 30:10Speaker 1: and very well spoken a great a great rep for
- 30:13Speaker 1: Old Miss for sure.
- 30:14Speaker 4: And let me tell you this, Ay, I love to
- 30:16Speaker 4: hear that because going into the I don't know how
- 30:19Speaker 4: the season is going to play out. Of course Trenida,
- 30:21Speaker 4: that is going to have brand new head coach, brand
- 30:23Speaker 4: new offensive coordinator, offensive coaches, all that stuff. But he
- 30:28Speaker 4: is deserving of the title of best quarterback in the
- 30:32Speaker 4: country going into this twenty twenty sixth season. Again, I
- 30:35Speaker 4: don't know how it's going to be halfway through the
- 30:37Speaker 4: season at the end of the season, but based on play,
- 30:41Speaker 4: he is the best quarterback going into this twenty twenty
- 30:43Speaker 4: sixth season. So don't get it twisted. Don't like talk
- 30:46Speaker 4: yourself into anything else. Just watch the quarterback play from
- 30:49Speaker 4: the end of the season and tell me that I'm
- 30:53Speaker 4: wrong from that.
- 30:53Speaker 2: So he is deserving of that honor, I think.
- 30:57Speaker 4: So to hear that that he is doing all the
- 31:00Speaker 4: right things and being that guy that's gonna shake everybody's hand,
- 31:03Speaker 4: I think that fits fit exactly who he should be
- 31:06Speaker 4: going into the season.
- 31:08Speaker 1: He's gonna have five of his top six receivers somewhere else,
- 31:12Speaker 1: a lot in the NFL, some and other schools. It's
- 31:15Speaker 1: gonna be some new targets that he's going to be
- 31:17Speaker 1: throwing to. We'll see how that goes. Week number one
- 31:21Speaker 1: in Nashville against Louisville and Jeff.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Biggie, that'll be a biggie.
- 31:26Speaker 1: That's a sneaky game, man.
- 31:28Speaker 2: My brothers are going to have them ready to roll.
- 31:30Speaker 1: That's a sneaky game. And I mean, look, okay, Louisville
- 31:35Speaker 1: beat Miami last year. Miami beat Old Miss. That's all
- 31:39Speaker 1: you That's all you got to do. If you're Old Miss,
- 31:41Speaker 1: to try to make sure you're ready for that game.
- 31:42Speaker 1: If you're Pete Golding, you know, like, hey, Loivill beat Miami,
- 31:48Speaker 1: and Miami's who sent us home for the year.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Yeah, so basically Louisville beat them last year.
- 31:52Speaker 1: And you know we're head coaches. He tried to find
- 31:54Speaker 1: anything you can to make sure you guys are ready. Louisville, Louisville, Oville,
- 31:58Speaker 1: louis Louisville. Marlar, you say, like, Marlar, let's all right,
- 32:07Speaker 1: we will step away. We've got more ot B when
- 32:09Speaker 1: we come back here live from SEC Media Days Off
- 32:13Speaker 1: the Bench, all right, go to gcop net dot com,
- 32:17Speaker 1: gcopnet dot com, Golf Coast Office products, you're in question,

- 32:43Speaker 1: you want. And that is always going to be the case.
- 32:46Speaker 1: The number one thing that you're going to learn from
- 32:48Speaker 1: Trede Bill and his team at gcopnet dot com.
- 32:51Speaker 4: You know it's gcop Yeah, you know me. They are

- 33:06Speaker 4: one person, ten people, ten thousand people, it doesn't matter.
- 33:09Speaker 4: They got the best technology. But it sets them apart
- 33:11Speaker 4: is their award winning service team. If something goes down,
- 33:14Speaker 4: they will get you back up and right a fastest
- 33:16Speaker 4: Gulf Coast Office Products gcop dot dot com Live.
- 33:20Speaker 6: From the twenty twenty six SEC Football Media Days in Tampa,
- 33:24Speaker 6: presented by FMOL Health our Lady of the Lage Relief, windows,
- 33:28Speaker 6: REV Fiber and Farish Construction and Roofing.
- 33:39Speaker 1: It's funny, all right, Welcome back in OTB here live
- 33:52Speaker 1: Tampa Media Days. LSU day always out look. It gives
- 33:57Speaker 1: you a little juice, little energy when LSU's here, right
- 34:00Speaker 1: almost like I went to rejuven me.
- 34:01Speaker 2: That's what almost, but that's almost, but not quite, not quite.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Redive me Medical dot Com thirteen locations across Louisiana. Also,
- 34:11Speaker 1: you have a location in Mississippi, and it's a quick process.
- 34:14Speaker 1: It's five minutes for the blood work, you send it off,
- 34:18Speaker 1: you come back in about a week and it's five
- 34:20Speaker 1: minutes for the consultation. Ten minutes and they're gonna make
- 34:23Speaker 1: sure your WRN a path for you to feel youthful again.
- 34:27Speaker 1: And that's over at regeve me medical dot com. Again,
- 34:30Speaker 1: go schedule your appoint today. Rejeven me medical dot com.
- 34:35Speaker 1: You are.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Not real happy with me right now.
- 34:41Speaker 1: I was like, wait, what so LSU has you know
- 34:47Speaker 1: people that do video, people are doing pictures and they
- 34:51Speaker 1: wanted us to take a picture with what weeks makes sense.
- 34:54Speaker 1: You got two four players doing radio wit Weeks is
- 34:58Speaker 1: our guy. Let's get a picture of three. And the
- 35:01Speaker 1: person that was taking the picture said, okay, let's throw
- 35:05Speaker 1: the l's up because you know, it's what LSU does now.
- 35:07Speaker 1: They didn't do it when we were in school, but
- 35:08Speaker 1: that's what they do now. And so look, I'm on
- 35:11Speaker 1: the right side, so I throw the right hand up. Boom,
- 35:14Speaker 1: got a nail, yep, And they were like waiting on you,
- 35:16Speaker 1: and you refused to throw the L up. Yes, you
- 35:20Speaker 1: literally said no. And so this man then goes to
- 35:23Speaker 1: like like a boxer, you know, like when you're about
- 35:26Speaker 1: to have like you know, any kind of way in
- 35:28Speaker 1: and you got like the fist up to that. That's
- 35:30Speaker 1: what he did. So I think the video or the
- 35:34Speaker 1: picture is so bad that they went with some random
- 35:36Speaker 1: video that they took because this man's acting like he's
- 35:39Speaker 1: a boxer and he couldn't throw the l's up like me.
- 35:41Speaker 4: And well, yeah, unapologetic, unapologetic is what I am. I
- 35:45Speaker 4: you know, I don't subscribe to the l's And certainly
- 35:48Speaker 4: when I'm on that side of the picture, and I'd
- 35:50Speaker 4: have to go backward. LL I don't think so. Not
- 35:54Speaker 4: this guy, not this guy ain't gonna happen.
- 35:59Speaker 1: If you'd be on the right, you probably you probably
- 36:01Speaker 1: would have. If you were me, I would have got
- 36:02Speaker 1: you'd been on right, fist all right, Tommy, tough nuts
- 36:06Speaker 1: or thumbs up? So now you're an aggie. Okay, yeah,
- 36:10Speaker 1: I would.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Have done that. You're right, no thumbs up. Get one
- 36:16Speaker 2: of these up either.
- 36:18Speaker 1: What are you playing for Hawaii? Now? I don't know.
- 36:22Speaker 1: No anyway, he runned it. Anyway, I did it, and
- 36:28Speaker 1: you didn't. You didn't taking it back, So I do. Actually,
- 36:31Speaker 1: I mean you're being very like. It is very like
- 36:34Speaker 1: me because I'm typically the one that's very stubborn, like
- 36:36Speaker 1: you're being right now, So I do appreciate that part.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I mean it's not stubborn.
- 36:40Speaker 4: It's just it's just you got to sit on your morals,
- 36:43Speaker 4: like if you're going to talk trash about it for
- 36:44Speaker 4: a year, you just can't let be.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Oh gosh, there's a lot of pressure. Definitely got to
- 36:47Speaker 2: throw it.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Throw it. That's a good looking ponto you got you
- 36:53Speaker 1: did you add the l shu to that?
- 36:54Speaker 2: I did not.
- 36:55Speaker 1: They like that they did that. I don't remember seeing
- 36:57Speaker 1: that one, but this was one of the new releases
- 36:59Speaker 1: this year. It's on the way to my house right now,
- 37:01Speaker 1: to your house. Yeah, if you were going on the
- 37:04Speaker 1: fishing trip, you would have it already, touchet. I got
- 37:08Speaker 1: Poncho on today too, though, Bro, the new polos. You
- 37:11Speaker 1: know what I'm saying, wish a look at it somewhere.
- 37:14Speaker 1: Boom bam, poncho. Let's go splam. Keeping us geared up here.
- 37:19Speaker 1: We're male models. It's not that big a deal. I mean,
- 37:22Speaker 1: who didn't see that coming? Oh?
- 37:29Speaker 4: Lor Just a reminder to the listeners, we will be
- 37:32Speaker 4: carrying Lane Kiffin's coverage his press conference live here, so
- 37:37Speaker 4: if you want to listen to that live, you can
- 37:39Speaker 4: stay tuned and we'll Jake and I are going to
- 37:41Speaker 4: kind of roll in there and listen to it.
- 37:44Speaker 2: So stay tuned.
- 37:46Speaker 1: My package is out for delivery. My Poncho shirt notification
- 37:50Speaker 1: of my phone. I was like, they better not give
- 37:51Speaker 1: him flesh shirt.
- 37:52Speaker 2: They didn't give me.
- 37:53Speaker 1: He's right though, we are going to have Lane Kiffin
- 37:55Speaker 1: and if he's on, like, you.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Got to kind of be on time for the Yeah,
- 38:00Speaker 2: I think it's.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I think I don't think it's like one of those
- 38:02Speaker 1: situations like Coach Miles used to be like, we're gonna
- 38:04Speaker 1: have media availability at six o'clock and at six point
- 38:08Speaker 1: thirty walks in, you know.
- 38:09Speaker 4: And yeah, I think it's supposed to be nine oh
- 38:11Speaker 4: five Eastern times, so eight oh five back home. But
- 38:15Speaker 4: you know, I don't know for sure what time he
- 38:17Speaker 4: will exactly, but we will keep you updated and we
- 38:20Speaker 4: will be carrying that live right here.
- 38:23Speaker 1: How long do you think they're gonna grill him before
- 38:26Speaker 1: he gets a question that's not about him leaving or
- 38:29Speaker 1: old Miss.
- 38:29Speaker 4: Well, honestly, so the media members line up in the
- 38:32Speaker 4: press conference room, they line up, they put their hand
- 38:34Speaker 4: up for so it how this press conference goes is
- 38:37Speaker 4: probably gonna depend on how many Mississippi reporters end up
- 38:42Speaker 4: getting the microphone for a question.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Is probably now that's gonna there's gonna be some reporters
- 38:47Speaker 1: from Mississippi too. It's like Old Miss is gone, so
- 38:50Speaker 1: some will be gone, but Mississippi State is here, and look,
- 38:53Speaker 1: they cover Missisippi state. But maybe it's somebody from Jackson.
- 38:55Speaker 1: They're gonna want to like, they're gonna want to lank
- 38:57Speaker 1: iff an old Miss answer, you know. So sure, even
- 39:00Speaker 1: though that school's gone and there's still gonna be plenty
- 39:03Speaker 1: of good reporters from Mississippi. So I just the reason
- 39:06Speaker 1: I ask is because they got to ask.
- 39:08Speaker 5: Duh.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Like, I'm not saying you don't ask you, you have
- 39:10Speaker 1: to ask the questions. But I do hope that there's
- 39:13Speaker 1: time for some football questions in there, because I do
- 39:16Speaker 1: want some insight into the actual program and not just
- 39:19Speaker 1: insight into Lane and he left and how this that,
- 39:22Speaker 1: And I want some actual football talk from him as well.
- 39:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, let's let's go ahead and start it
- 39:29Speaker 4: out hot, you know what I mean, get the tough
- 39:31Speaker 4: stuff out of the way. But yeah, we want to
- 39:33Speaker 4: hear football, but I think I think the majority of
- 39:35Speaker 4: the country wants to hear fireworks.
- 39:37Speaker 2: They don't care about the football part.
- 39:38Speaker 3: But we do.
- 39:39Speaker 2: We care about the football.
- 39:40Speaker 4: We want to hear him talk about his personnel packaging
- 39:43Speaker 4: and how they're adapting, and how the coaches him and
- 39:46Speaker 4: like Baker are working together. We want to hear all
- 39:48Speaker 4: that good stuff. But of course it's super fun to
- 39:52Speaker 4: hear the juicy stuff, the hot goss. Yeah, so we'll see,
- 39:56Speaker 4: we'll see how he handles it all. We'll see if
- 39:57Speaker 4: he wants to elaborate. Does he want to take some
- 40:00Speaker 4: shots at some other coaches or does he just want
- 40:03Speaker 4: to defuse and get to his team.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Somebody was asking me yesterday, is he going to be
- 40:07Speaker 1: like the lin Kiff and we've seen before where he's
- 40:09Speaker 1: up there at throw a little jabb at Kirby, throw
- 40:11Speaker 1: a little jabb at Eli Drinkquez. I was like, Hey,
- 40:12Speaker 1: you know what I don't know about this time him.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Being that guy.
- 40:16Speaker 4: I'm going to predict that he tells Josh Hipel to
- 40:21Speaker 4: go do yoga. That would be applies. That's kind of
- 40:26Speaker 4: because they took a shot at Lsu. I mean so,
- 40:29Speaker 4: I don't know if they've ever had beef together in
- 40:32Speaker 4: the media. So maybe maybe we're starting something today. We'll
- 40:35Speaker 4: find out.
- 40:35Speaker 1: If he goes up there, it's like, hey, you know,
- 40:37Speaker 1: funny enough did some yoga this morning? Did it here
- 40:40Speaker 1: in Tampa? Didn't take a day off?
- 40:42Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 40:42Speaker 1: There's some coaches in this league, maybe one in Knoxville
- 40:45Speaker 1: he's worried about filling the shelves with the mustard bottles
- 40:48Speaker 1: and golf balls.
- 40:49Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 40:50Speaker 1: Maybe he could have joined me this morning. Yeah, that'd
- 40:52Speaker 1: be good.
- 40:53Speaker 4: Maybe Hypel's a little bit upset that Lane flew to
- 40:57Speaker 4: Knoxville too, Sam Lovett.
- 41:00Speaker 1: From his if I forgot about Okay about that, I
- 41:06Speaker 1: bett that is true. He's like, oh, you thought Sam
- 41:10Speaker 1: was coming on that visit.
- 41:12Speaker 2: No, he had got it. I'm just gonna fly to Knoxville.
- 41:15Speaker 2: I forgot that happened. Yeah, yeah, that's kind of fun.
- 41:18Speaker 1: So maybe that's where the shot came from, because we
- 41:19Speaker 1: were wondering, like where it came from.
- 41:22Speaker 4: That's kind of kind of random, right, I felt like
- 41:25Speaker 4: it was. But now that you say that he did
- 41:28Speaker 4: fly and take him probably from his living room.
- 41:31Speaker 1: All right, So again coming up at well, we'll say
- 41:34Speaker 1: we keep saying nine off eight oh five for our
- 41:36Speaker 1: listeners eight oh five Central time, eight o five Central time,
- 41:39Speaker 1: So ten minutes from now you'll hear from l s
- 41:42Speaker 1: U head coach Elane Kiffin more O TV when we
