- 0:00Speaker 1: I'm going to regret this. Welcome to the note party.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hi, this is Nick and Ostasu, story editor on Star Wars,
- 0:10Speaker 2: the Clone Wars and Star Wars bad Batch, and you
- 0:14Speaker 2: are listening to aggressive negotiations.
- 0:24Speaker 3: That's right, it's aggressive negotiations, the Star Wars podcast that
- 0:27Speaker 3: has beamed out each and every week with new explorations
- 0:31Speaker 3: of all of the nooks and crannies of the Star
- 0:33Speaker 3: Wars galaxy. I am one of your humble hosts, John Mills,
- 0:37Speaker 3: and I am joined by my dear friend and esteemed
- 0:40Speaker 3: Jedi Master with another surprise topic, Jedi Master Matthew Rushing. Matt,
- 0:45Speaker 3: welcome back to your usual seat here at our little
- 0:49Speaker 3: mini Jedi Council chamber table.
- 0:52Speaker 1: Well, it's so good to be back. It's quite a
- 0:55Speaker 1: comfortable chair here. It's a cross between one's chair from
- 1:01Speaker 1: the council and Yoda's chair, and it's just really cushy.
- 1:05Speaker 1: I feel like this fine Reekian leather chair here is
- 1:10Speaker 1: just oh, it feels really good. You know, it's strangely
- 1:14Speaker 1: softer than you would think it would be.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Well, you know what, I decided to go with the
- 1:18Speaker 3: traditional Jedi council chair, which is in fact filled with
- 1:22Speaker 3: water and that's why it is so supportive and comfortable
- 1:24Speaker 3: at the same time very very difficult to get out though.
- 1:29Speaker 1: Yes, yes, this is true. The waterbed chair, yes, I
- 1:33Speaker 1: forgot about those.
- 1:34Speaker 3: It's very comfy, very comfy. But you know what is
- 1:38Speaker 3: also very comfy is going up and just hitting that
- 1:42Speaker 3: subscribe button on Spotify or Apple podcasts. You're here, you're listening,
- 1:46Speaker 3: go ahead and follow us in both places. It helps
- 1:48Speaker 3: the show grow, helps people find it in their searches
- 1:51Speaker 3: and everything like that. And of course, if you're so
- 1:54Speaker 3: inclined and you have not yet taken the opportunity, go
- 1:57Speaker 3: ahead and leave us a rating and review on Apple Podcasts.
- 2:01Speaker 3: We would appreciate both of those things. But here's a
- 2:05Speaker 3: surprise topic for tonight because we're you know, we spent
- 2:08Speaker 3: a lot of time talking about the prequels, because the
- 2:10Speaker 3: prequels are freaking fantastic. We've talked a lot about the
- 2:13Speaker 3: original trilogy. Who doesn't love the original trilogy? And sometimes
- 2:16Speaker 3: we don't talk a whole lot about the sequel trilogy.
- 2:18Speaker 3: But one of the things that people do talk about
- 2:22Speaker 3: the sequel trilogy is some disappointment about history of character
- 2:27Speaker 3: stuff like that. I mean, how many years later are
- 2:30Speaker 3: we and we haven't even gotten a book attempting an
- 2:32Speaker 3: explanation of Snoke. I mean, unless there's something I've missed. Yeah,
- 2:37Speaker 3: And there were hints when Force Awakens came out that
- 2:42Speaker 3: Lawrence kas Didn't sat there and said, oh, he's got
- 2:44Speaker 3: a history, you just haven't seen it yet. I'm like, Okay,
- 2:48Speaker 3: well there's a history. Since we haven't gotten that history.
- 2:51Speaker 3: All that we've gotten is what we've all sort of
- 2:55Speaker 3: affectionately made the occasional joke about that Snoke was a
- 2:58Speaker 3: clone of some one somewhere along the lines, and we
- 3:03Speaker 3: saw other snow clones and vats On, not Malakor in
- 3:08Speaker 3: the Rise of Skywalker. So I want to say here,
- 3:11Speaker 3: I want a brainstorm. I want to say we're longtime
- 3:13Speaker 3: Star Wars fans. We love to get in there. We
- 3:14Speaker 3: love to get into the nitty gritty. You know, if
- 3:18Speaker 3: somebody were to say to you, you know, what history
- 3:22Speaker 3: of Snoke would be interesting to you, Matt, Where would
- 3:26Speaker 3: you see this character? Where would you see Snoke having
- 3:32Speaker 3: been discovered and by whom in the course of this
- 3:38Speaker 3: history we haven't gotten how old was he? Where did
- 3:43Speaker 3: the Dark Side first make him apparent? To either Palpatine
- 3:46Speaker 3: or Vader whomever else over time.
- 3:52Speaker 1: You know, I think that's a really interesting question and
- 3:55Speaker 1: definitely out of left field, because I did not expect that.
- 4:00Speaker 1: And you know, the first thing that actually came to
- 4:04Speaker 1: my mind is that that he would be a character
- 4:06Speaker 1: who would have been discovered by Palpatine, and that he
- 4:13Speaker 1: would have been a character that Palpatine actually kept in
- 4:18Speaker 1: secret on what's the name of that stupid planet from the.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Rise of Sky.
- 4:27Speaker 3: I just always called it, not malacor it's exeg exical.
- 4:34Speaker 1: That he would have been a person that would have
- 4:37Speaker 1: been actually kept on Exagal and maybe been somebody that
- 4:43Speaker 1: was strong in the force obviously, and somebody that Palpatine
- 4:49Speaker 1: would have trusted with those secrets, and that his job
- 4:54Speaker 1: would have been to work on the cloning project, you know,
- 5:01Speaker 1: and in some ways much like the character doctor Hemlock
- 5:08Speaker 1: that we saw in The Bad Batch, but a force
- 5:13Speaker 1: sensitive scientist.
- 5:15Speaker 4: Whose goal was to continue that work.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And then I would have I think what would make
- 5:24Speaker 1: it interesting is that one of the reasons that he's
- 5:26Speaker 1: deformed is because of the experience that he has done
- 5:30Speaker 1: on himself dark side and otherwise to try and advance
- 5:35Speaker 1: the cloning science to the point where you could clone
- 5:39Speaker 1: a force user the way that Palpatine wants it to
- 5:42Speaker 1: be done. And so what That's just the first thing
- 5:46Speaker 1: that just kind of pops into my head, and which,
- 5:50Speaker 1: when you think about it, would be an incredibly fascinating story.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I mean, did Palpatine already know about exigall? Did they
- 5:56Speaker 1: have to go search for it together? You know, there's
- 5:59Speaker 1: so many possibilities in that that my head actually kind
- 6:04Speaker 1: of explodes with the amount of possibilities of storytelling that
- 6:07Speaker 1: you could do with those two characters.
- 6:09Speaker 3: I love everywhere you went with that, I really do.
- 6:15Speaker 3: I think the cloning tech definitely comes into it. I
- 6:17Speaker 3: still hold onto my pet theory, backed by nothing but
- 6:22Speaker 3: what I wish, which is which is that he is
- 6:33Speaker 3: the product of an attempt to combine Palpatine DNA with
- 6:40Speaker 3: Keminoan DNA. Because there's that episode in Bad Batch where
- 6:44Speaker 3: they go off and there are those lost cloning chambers
- 6:48Speaker 3: and they're doing some sort of cloning experiment. But the
- 6:52Speaker 3: figure inside is a little over large. But there was
- 6:57Speaker 3: something about the figure that reminded me of Snoke. I
- 7:01Speaker 3: am not saying there's any intent. I'm saying that's just
- 7:04Speaker 3: where my brain went with it. And obviously we've gotten
- 7:07Speaker 3: a sort of a hint in season two of The
- 7:09Speaker 3: Mandalorian where they happened across what looked to be a
- 7:12Speaker 3: cloning chamber and there was a snoke theme that seemed
- 7:17Speaker 3: to be playing in the background when they were staring
- 7:19Speaker 3: at it, And if I remember correctly, it's thee infamous
- 7:23Speaker 3: episode where they later had to go back and erase
- 7:25Speaker 3: the half a crew member that you could see in
- 7:27Speaker 3: one of the shots. Yeah, I think that was the episode.
- 7:31Speaker 3: It sort of stole the thunder of the conversation, as
- 7:34Speaker 3: it were, But I think that where I went with
- 7:41Speaker 3: it originally was that he was Vader's secret apprentice and
- 7:46Speaker 3: then the Emperor took him out when Vader made a
- 7:53Speaker 3: play for power, or the Emperor discovered him and tried
- 7:58Speaker 3: to get rid of him the way that he had
- 8:00Speaker 3: or he told Vader to get rid of him the
- 8:02Speaker 3: way that he told Dooku to get rid of Ventris.
- 8:07Speaker 3: But I really like your idea that he would have
- 8:09Speaker 3: been involved in some sort of dark magic cloning stuff,
- 8:15Speaker 3: because that's the you know, that's the famous lines, like
- 8:17Speaker 3: you know, sith magic cloning technology, right, Okay, so maybe
- 8:22Speaker 3: he was tied to that and Vader was trying to
- 8:26Speaker 3: woo him to be an apprentice to get himself restored,
- 8:30Speaker 3: and then Palpatine, being who he was, stole him from Vader,
- 8:34Speaker 3: or there was some sort of fight involved. So like,
- 8:37Speaker 3: I like that's where I would layer in Vader and Palpatine,
- 8:41Speaker 3: and Vader would not have known that Snoke was then
- 8:45Speaker 3: brought back to life, as it were. But I want
- 8:47Speaker 3: to I want to pick at that one. Do you
- 8:49Speaker 3: think it's possible that the Snoke we encountered. Obviously we
- 8:56Speaker 3: don't know whether he was a clone or whether he
- 8:58Speaker 3: was the original or what have you. But wouldn't it
- 9:01Speaker 3: be interesting if when they hit a reset button on
- 9:05Speaker 3: Snoke it was basically a new being the like the
- 9:09Speaker 3: the failure of his attempt was there was no successful
- 9:12Speaker 3: transfer of consciousness from one physical body to the next.
- 9:22Speaker 4: Yeah, that's really interesting.
- 9:24Speaker 1: So if I understand what you're saying is then you
- 9:28Speaker 1: know there have been like multiple Snokes that almost is
- 9:33Speaker 1: it like they almost kind of start over or is
- 9:36Speaker 1: there like a baseline for them?
- 9:38Speaker 3: That's what That's what I haven't thought far enough about.
- 9:40Speaker 3: What do you think makes the most sense it.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Would be interesting almost that there was kind of this
- 9:47Speaker 1: baseline that they could never get past a certain point,
- 9:52Speaker 1: you know with the transfer, Its like you could you
- 9:56Speaker 1: could kind of like half a transfer, and then it
- 9:58Speaker 1: just stalls out.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Almost the band to expand with.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, the force bandwidth is not strong enough. But
- 10:07Speaker 1: and and and so that's what would make it interesting.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Then when you think about this idea of them trying
- 10:13Speaker 1: to do this and and maybe there's an original snoke, right,
- 10:16Speaker 1: but they've tried this with others and they've just had
- 10:18Speaker 1: to kill them because you know, the it's almost like
- 10:23Speaker 1: the prestige, right, Yeah, yes, but like you said that,
- 10:29Speaker 1: there's there's something that's wrong with the transfer and and
- 10:34Speaker 1: you know, we're making a joke about this.
- 10:36Speaker 4: Idea of the bandwidth.
- 10:36Speaker 1: But that's why they go and search for the hidden
- 10:40Speaker 1: world of Exagal where the force nexus power of the
- 10:45Speaker 1: dark Side is the strongest, and that's what allows them
- 10:49Speaker 1: to finally get to the point where they could do
- 10:53Speaker 1: what they do with Palpatine. And it was only at
- 10:56Speaker 1: that point because it's the only place that it my works, right, like,
- 11:02Speaker 1: because we know from the Rise of Skywalker it's not
- 11:07Speaker 1: completely successful because Palpatine is this, you know, kind of
- 11:11Speaker 1: half their rotting corpse, not fully completely formed. He doesn't
- 11:16Speaker 1: have quite his full power, and that's the whole point
- 11:20Speaker 1: of wanting to you know, draw Ben and Ray there,
- 11:23Speaker 1: because he can suck the force of the Diad from
- 11:26Speaker 1: them that allows him to become the fully flushed out
- 11:31Speaker 1: version of himself.
- 11:34Speaker 4: And that's what I think.
- 11:36Speaker 1: The idea obviously of like bringing back Palpatine was something
- 11:40Speaker 1: they did in the comics, right, and this whole idea,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and of course they played with cloning of course in
- 11:48Speaker 1: the original Throng trilogy, right yea of Luke and all
- 11:51Speaker 1: these things, And I think the idea isn't bad. It
- 11:56Speaker 1: really just came down to the execution. And a big
- 11:59Speaker 1: part of that is because you know, if you're going
- 12:02Speaker 1: to do that, this type of story does feel like
- 12:05Speaker 1: it really requires as we're talking about what would be
- 12:08Speaker 1: the nitty gritty for the character of Snoke and the
- 12:11Speaker 1: character of Palpatine and how all this comes to be.
- 12:15Speaker 4: I mean, it.
- 12:15Speaker 1: Does feel like you do need a lot of legwork
- 12:19Speaker 1: to be able to get to a place where you
- 12:22Speaker 1: can make that story makes sense. But you can do it, right,
- 12:27Speaker 1: I mean, you could absolutely do it, but you would
- 12:30Speaker 1: have had to I almost feel like reveal that from
- 12:35Speaker 1: you know that mystery starts in you know what we
- 12:38Speaker 1: know as the Force awakens and then has to continue
- 12:41Speaker 1: throughout the rest of the series.
- 12:42Speaker 4: And so but that when I think about the whole
- 12:48Speaker 4: idea of like what we did with Cloning and the
- 12:50Speaker 4: Clone Wars and of course Attack of the Clones and
- 12:53Speaker 4: everything like that, and then what the EU kind of
- 12:55Speaker 4: played with with Cloning and all that, there really is
- 12:58Speaker 4: a place for this to happen because obviously we played
- 13:01Speaker 4: with it in the Mandalorian too, of this whole idea
- 13:04Speaker 4: of you know, maf Gideon's.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Desire to be able to create force ability in himself. Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 1: and that's what he wanted most was was was to
- 13:17Speaker 1: be able to bond. You know, the Midi Chlorians did
- 13:22Speaker 1: a higher content rate so that you know, he could
- 13:25Speaker 1: be for sensitive and obviously he's not able to make
- 13:30Speaker 1: that happen, but that's what he wanted, you know, Grogu
- 13:33Speaker 1: for and and so you know, maybe this will be
- 13:39Speaker 1: one of those things. And you know, as we know
- 13:42Speaker 1: the Mandalorian, Grogu's coming out and we've got all this
- 13:45Speaker 1: stuff that's going to be happening with Ah Soca and all,
- 13:47Speaker 1: and maybe all this is kind of a way to
- 13:49Speaker 1: do exactly what we're talking about, which is to make
- 13:53Speaker 1: the story of the sequels in that sense makes sense,
- 13:56Speaker 1: right that we're going to write what I'm talking about
- 13:59Speaker 1: all that leg so that when you watch that film,
- 14:03Speaker 1: maybe it's like, Okay, now that actually makes more sense.
- 14:09Speaker 3: You know. And the thing is, I'm I've always been
- 14:12Speaker 3: perfectly happy with the one shot villain where it's like
- 14:16Speaker 3: they come and they go. I almost think that I
- 14:20Speaker 3: would have been better with Snoke if he had just
- 14:23Speaker 3: died in the Force, awakens, Grievous comes and goes in
- 14:26Speaker 3: one film, Tarking comes and goes in one film. I
- 14:29Speaker 3: would have been fine with Snoke coming and going in
- 14:31Speaker 3: one film, and I never I would have always been curious,
- 14:34Speaker 3: but I wouldn't have been as lack of a better term,
- 14:36Speaker 3: I wouldn't have been as annoyed as the way that
- 14:39Speaker 3: it went. But let me actually just posit this as
- 14:43Speaker 3: one last sort of way to look at it, cause
- 14:44Speaker 3: I think we're pretty much on the same things. Like,
- 14:46Speaker 3: you know, there was some sort of brilliant science going
- 14:49Speaker 3: on war for Snoke between Vader and Palpatine and we
- 14:55Speaker 3: have them off Gideon angle. What if throw this idea
- 14:59Speaker 3: out there. What if Snoke was simply not simply that's
- 15:06Speaker 3: I'm not saying that to be dismissive. What if Snoke
- 15:10Speaker 3: was a character who was like a brilliant military strategist
- 15:16Speaker 3: or weapons maker and they volunteered him or he volunteered
- 15:24Speaker 3: to have the off Gideon thing happened to him. So
- 15:28Speaker 3: he has a history just as a regular old person
- 15:33Speaker 3: in the original trilogy timeline, he survives as part of
- 15:37Speaker 3: the Imperial Remnant and he falls in somehow with Gideon
- 15:42Speaker 3: or the Secret Emperor, what have you. But the thing
- 15:46Speaker 3: is that leaves what's his association with Vader then? Because
- 15:50Speaker 3: he he has an obsession with Vader as like, it's
- 15:55Speaker 3: not just Kylo Ren that has the obsession with Vader.
- 15:56Speaker 3: But do you think that that is a possibility that
- 15:58Speaker 3: like he was one of Vader's trusted lieutenants or you know,
- 16:03Speaker 3: generals in that case, and was given the opportunity. Do
- 16:08Speaker 3: you want power like I have? There's a crazy experiment
- 16:11Speaker 3: we can do. Are you willing to take the risk?
- 16:14Speaker 3: And that's why he winds up deformed like it winds
- 16:17Speaker 3: up messing with him, but at the same time giving
- 16:20Speaker 3: him what appears to be, based on what we see
- 16:23Speaker 3: on screen in the Last Jedi incredible power.
- 16:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I think all of that works for
- 16:33Speaker 1: the character to help explain, you know, why the character
- 16:37Speaker 1: has the abilities that he does, and why he does
- 16:41Speaker 1: seem to be so strong, and you know, in some
- 16:45Speaker 1: ways make him a force to be reckoned with. Then
- 16:50Speaker 1: in the series, you know, and makes him kind of terrifying.
- 16:56Speaker 2: You know.
- 16:57Speaker 1: It's interesting that for the series, one of the things
- 17:02Speaker 1: that ends up happening is that Snoke becomes kind of
- 17:06Speaker 1: a combination of Vader and Palpatine, and the sense that
- 17:11Speaker 1: his same foibles, right, are the same things that lead
- 17:17Speaker 1: to their downfall, Right, they're Hubris and all that kind
- 17:20Speaker 1: of stuff, which is very interesting.
- 17:23Speaker 3: So what if he's a product of them doing an
- 17:28Speaker 3: experiment using Vader's blood for the m count, and that's
- 17:33Speaker 3: why he winds like Vader is so powerful, like so
- 17:35Speaker 3: baseline powerful. His antenna's broken. He just needs a new
- 17:39Speaker 3: body to live in. So they do the transfer to
- 17:42Speaker 3: somebody who is willing to undergo the experiment. But it's
- 17:47Speaker 3: so powerful that it winds up making Snoke look and
- 17:51Speaker 3: function the way that he does physically. I guess that's
- 17:53Speaker 3: a possibility too. Unfortunately, nobody seems to want to take
- 17:56Speaker 3: a crack at explaining any of that to us, So
- 17:59Speaker 3: we'll just have to sit here and ponder. But at
- 18:01Speaker 3: the very least, I think we can agree that it
- 18:04Speaker 3: is something that we can ponder regardless of anything else.
- 18:08Speaker 3: And someday, I legitimately hope someday we get that explanation
- 18:14Speaker 3: because some attempt at it in some source material I
- 18:19Speaker 3: really think needs to be made.
- 18:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it would be great to have.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I mean, you know, as we're talking about it here,
- 18:26Speaker 1: I think you can see if you're listening to this,
- 18:29Speaker 1: there are just so many interesting avenues that you could
- 18:31Speaker 1: go down to help understand this character in his place
- 18:36Speaker 1: in the galaxy, has connection with you know, Palpatine Invader
- 18:41Speaker 1: and all these different things.
- 18:43Speaker 4: And you know, I think the.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Whole idea of even just what it is that you know,
- 18:50Speaker 1: because this is the thing that the bad Batch does right,
- 18:53Speaker 1: is that it does really help build into that mystery
- 18:57Speaker 1: of exactly how and what how La teen is trying
- 19:01Speaker 1: to do, you know, with these four sensitive children and
- 19:04Speaker 1: all of this type of stuff building into that idea
- 19:07Speaker 1: of what we got in the sequels, and so I
- 19:10Speaker 1: think what that shows is that this storyline itself is
- 19:16Speaker 1: kind of rife with great opportunities and deep and interesting
- 19:22Speaker 1: opportunities to explore the mythos of the Star Wars universe,
- 19:26Speaker 1: and especially the mythos is the Sith in that way too, right,
- 19:29Speaker 1: mm hmm.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Yeah. So the one last question then, is if they
- 19:34Speaker 3: have a great backstory for Snoke that they roll out,
- 19:38Speaker 3: will that help you enjoy the entire sequel trilogy more?
- 19:44Speaker 3: Will it give you something that you can take into it,
- 19:47Speaker 3: because there there are always things where the outside source
- 19:51Speaker 3: material can help, you know, ameliorate some of the issues
- 19:55Speaker 3: you might have. If they roll out a great backstory
- 19:58Speaker 3: for Snoke, does that open your heart to the sequel
- 20:01Speaker 3: trilogy a little more?
- 20:04Speaker 1: You know, I think it's something that could absolutely help,
- 20:07Speaker 1: you know, I don't really know that it could make
- 20:10Speaker 1: it worse in that sense unless it becomes one of
- 20:14Speaker 1: those things where you know, it gives you that feeling
- 20:21Speaker 1: as you're watching it, oh my gosh, this is so great.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I wish that. Then the thought process for those three
- 20:27Speaker 1: films then was so much more cohesive to allow all
- 20:31Speaker 1: of this to actually flow even better, you know, So
- 20:35Speaker 1: I think it's probably gonna actually be a combination of
- 20:38Speaker 1: the two.
- 20:39Speaker 3: Right.
- 20:40Speaker 1: It's gonna leave you feeling like, oh, that makes more sense,
- 20:43Speaker 1: but it's also gonna make you think the same thing
- 20:45Speaker 1: that you know, we as fans have really been kind
- 20:48Speaker 1: of thinking this this whole time, which is just I
- 20:53Speaker 1: wish there was more cohesion for this storyline in the
- 20:59Speaker 1: sense that from start to finish, somebody had really looked
- 21:02Speaker 1: and said, Okay, what are the puzzle pieces that we
- 21:05Speaker 1: need to make everything fit together well? And part of
- 21:11Speaker 1: that is you kind of need to understand what the
- 21:14Speaker 1: whole of the picture is before you can break it
- 21:16Speaker 1: down into the puzzle pieces. So you know, this is
- 21:20Speaker 1: basically trying to add to the puzzle after the fact,
- 21:25Speaker 1: you know, after you have the picture, and that is always,
- 21:31Speaker 1: I think, going to be a slightly more Frankenstein's Monster
- 21:36Speaker 1: type of approach to storytelling then it would be otherwise
- 21:40Speaker 1: if you had just you know, started with a good
- 21:43Speaker 1: picture from the beginning.
- 21:44Speaker 3: But at the very least we can feel like we're
- 21:46Speaker 3: in the writer's room as something is developing, and maybe
- 21:49Speaker 3: at the end it all becomes magical because they figure
- 21:52Speaker 3: out how to make it work. We got to be
- 21:54Speaker 3: open to the idea of it, no matter what the
- 21:56Speaker 3: odds are, you know.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I mean, as that other franchise would say, there are
- 22:01Speaker 1: always possibilities.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Or as Hans Solo would say, never tell me the odds.
- 22:06Speaker 3: But what I do want you to tell me is
- 22:08Speaker 3: where people can find you online?
- 22:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you can find me all over social media under
- 22:13Speaker 1: the name Matt Rushing zero two. Of course here on
- 22:16Speaker 1: the network in ol post talking about every single chapter
- 22:20Speaker 1: the Harry Potter series, one chapter a time. That's a
- 22:23Speaker 1: completed show, so you can enjoy that now. And you
- 22:25Speaker 1: can also find me over on the TFM network with

- 22:30Speaker 1: oh two clup where we talk about all of those
- 22:33Speaker 1: franchises we love outside of Star Trek, and then Chris
- 22:36Speaker 1: Jones and I have a bunch of great Star Trek
- 22:38Speaker 1: talk over there as well. So John, though, if people
- 22:41Speaker 1: wanted to maybe bounce some ideas off of you about
- 22:43Speaker 1: what we were talking about, where could they find you?
- 22:46Speaker 3: Well, gosh, you can find me out there in the
- 22:48Speaker 3: wilds of the internet. As Kessel Junkie k Ees s
- 22:51Speaker 3: E l j U n ki E. And as we
- 22:53Speaker 3: record this, it's spooky season and I have started watching
- 22:58Speaker 3: a whole lot of actually slasher movies and horror movies
- 23:02Speaker 3: I've never seen before. So follow me over on Letterbox.
- 23:06Speaker 3: Let's connect over on letterbox because that's my favorite social network,
- 23:10Speaker 3: what the heck, and you can find me right here
- 23:12Speaker 3: on this podcast network, co hosting a show with Darren
- 23:16Speaker 3: Moser and Tristan Radell called house Lights, where we look
- 23:19Speaker 3: at the work of different directors through the course of
- 23:23Speaker 3: their careers or their careers divided up by decade, what
- 23:26Speaker 3: have you. As we record this, we're talking about Robert
- 23:29Speaker 3: Zamechis of the nineteen nineties, So you know, that's a
- 23:31Speaker 3: fun time. And Matt, all of that said, I think
- 23:36Speaker 3: that we have to go back because they're having a
- 23:37Speaker 3: dinner special tonight snoke stew and I sincerely hope it
- 23:42Speaker 3: doesn't have ingredients that come to mind when I say that.
- 23:45Speaker 3: So I think it's time to close these negotiations.
- 23:49Speaker 4: John, negotiations are closed.
