- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's make some money together. It's Thursday.
- 0:02Speaker 2: I'm Lawrence Presman. You're watching the best betting show ever.
- 0:06Speaker 2: We are two days away from college football. We are
- 0:09Speaker 2: hours away from baseball. We got Art DeCesar and Joe Ranieri.
- 0:14Speaker 2: Let's get straight into it, Art. We got a big
- 0:16Speaker 2: announcement about you coming. But before that, how did the
- 0:20Speaker 2: books do last night?
- 0:23Speaker 3: Well, it was one of those, you know, the sharp
- 0:24Speaker 3: information we gave out last night, I believe was one
- 0:26Speaker 3: and two, one win, two losses. Yankees win. But, you know,
- 0:30Speaker 3: other public teams like the Cubs lose. So it's probably,
- 0:32Speaker 3: you know, kind of a break-even day for the books.
- 0:35Speaker 3: Once again, you know, I'm going to continue to say
- 0:37Speaker 3: this all week. It's really going to start to feel
- 0:40Speaker 3: like the football season kicking off tonight with some, obviously,
- 0:44Speaker 3: NFL preseason. And like you said, Prez, two days away
- 0:48Speaker 3: from college football when we'll really get into it here.
- 0:52Speaker 4: I think the I saw it this Saturday, every Saturday
- 0:58Speaker 4: from from this one through April 10th, I think we'll
- 1:01Speaker 4: have either college football or college basketball on. So welcome back.
- 1:07Speaker 4: Saturdays are going to be a lot of fun here
- 1:09Speaker 4: moving forward.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and only two more free Sundays until basically the
- 1:16Speaker 2: exact same thing. Sharp bets tonight, Art. There's four NFL
- 1:22Speaker 2: preseason games, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, the Pats against Cleveland, San Fran,
- 1:27Speaker 2: Las Vegas, and the Rams against the Chargers. Is there
- 1:31Speaker 2: anything we need to know about those games and perhaps
- 1:34Speaker 2: the baseball card?
- 1:37Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Let me go baseball, WNBA, and then I'll throw in
- 1:40Speaker 3: an NFL preseason game. Baseball, it's a small slate, but
- 1:43Speaker 3: they're on the Nationals. They're on the Diamondbacks. They took
- 1:46Speaker 3: over 166 in the Mercury game in the WNBA. You've
- 1:50Speaker 3: seen Buffalo go up from one, one and a half
- 1:52Speaker 3: to three. You know, pretty much the other games like
- 1:56Speaker 3: New England and the Chargers have pretty much stayed steady.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Minus two and a half. Chargers, four, four and a half.
- 2:02Speaker 3: And then you've seen a move in the Vegas game.
- 2:03Speaker 3: That was like two. two and a half, and now
- 2:05Speaker 3: Vegas is minus three and a half.
- 2:09Speaker 4: Getting to be fun now, Art, because baseball's winding down
- 2:13Speaker 4: as we turn the clock to September. Only a couple
- 2:16Speaker 4: more weeks here, and then postseason time. We'll talk about
- 2:20Speaker 4: it later, but there is an awful lot of anything
- 2:25Speaker 4: can happen here as far as who's going to make
- 2:26Speaker 4: the postseason and who's not.
- 2:29Speaker 5: It's what they wanted.
- 2:31Speaker 4: I think it's going to be some terrible baseball, but
- 2:34Speaker 4: it certainly is what they wanted.
- 2:35Speaker 5: And by the way, Dodgers. Yikes. Can't beat anybody good,
- 2:40Speaker 5: I guess, huh? For now. For now. Good point.
- 2:44Speaker 3: For now.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:45Speaker 2: And just in keeping with that, Joe Art and I
- 2:48Speaker 2: did a segment a.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Couple of days ago. You didn't make it. I think
- 2:51Speaker 1: that was when you had the 10 women over.
- 2:56Speaker 2: We talked about who was going to make the wild
- 2:58Speaker 2: card in the East. And at the time, I think
- 3:01Speaker 2: Cleveland was like plus three and change.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Well, now they're sitting.
- 3:07Speaker 2: With a huge half-game advantage against Texas and two against Minnesota, Baltimore,
- 3:15Speaker 2: and the Jays. So, yeah, I think there's a lot
- 3:18Speaker 2: of money to be made in the predictive market segment.
- 3:19Speaker 5: I don't trust any of those teams either.
- 3:22Speaker 3: That's what we said.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Joe, take, like, we're not in the predictive market segment yet,
- 3:27Speaker 2: but take Seattle and Toronto right now.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Two days from now, take Texas and Baltimore.
- 3:32Speaker 5: Two days later.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Take Minnesota and Cleveland. You're going to have plus money
- 3:36Speaker 2: on every one of those damn bets.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Yep. Yep. Okay.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Do not do that plan, but you understand the point
- 3:43Speaker 1: I'm making. Exactly. That plan will not work. Okay, Art.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So what else is going on? Golf, tennis, U.S.
- 3:56Speaker 5: Open. Open, yeah. Right in front of us.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Are you taking bets on that?
- 4:02Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, listen, I've always said this about, you know,
- 4:04Speaker 3: the tennis here over these last couple of years. The
- 4:07Speaker 3: men's bracket, because it's been dominated by two guys and obviously,
- 4:11Speaker 3: you know, one pulled out and one came into this tournament,
- 4:15Speaker 3: Alcaraz in, Sinner out, barely gets any action. It's the
- 4:18Speaker 3: women's that always sees the most because you basically can have,
- 4:21Speaker 3: you know, six, eight, 10, 12 women who have a
- 4:24Speaker 3: shot to win that. So you always see a lot
- 4:27Speaker 3: more money in the women's pool in all these majors.
- 4:30Speaker 2: So where is Alcaraz now from a future perspective to
- 4:34Speaker 2: win it all?
- 4:36Speaker 5: He hasn't played, though.
- 4:39Speaker 3: No, and that's the problem. He hasn't played.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Doesn't mean he's not going to win it, but it's
- 4:44Speaker 4: so funny that he goes down, Sinner's left. Now Sinner
- 4:47Speaker 4: goes down, he comes back.
- 4:50Speaker 5: I still would. It's like not betting Scottie Sheffield. Like,
- 4:53Speaker 5: why wouldn't I do that? Of course I'm going to
- 4:54Speaker 5: bet Scottie Sheffield. At some point.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I don't think he'd come back unless he was 100%
- 5:00Speaker 4: at this point.
- 5:00Speaker 5: I really don't.
- 5:02Speaker 3: You would think he would. I mean, obviously, you know,
- 5:04Speaker 3: and he's still a young guy. He knows his body
- 5:07Speaker 3: better than anyone.
- 5:08Speaker 5: But you're right.
- 5:08Speaker 3: I mean, the guy hasn't played the whole season. Now
- 5:11Speaker 3: he's going to go win a, you know, hard contested
- 5:14Speaker 3: major when there's still some guys out there. And it's
- 5:17Speaker 3: not grass either.
- 5:18Speaker 1: It's like hard court.
- 5:20Speaker 5: Easy course for it.
- 5:25Speaker 3: No, you're going to be pounding on your body on
- 5:27Speaker 3: that hard court.
- 5:28Speaker 5: Yep, so true.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I just watched the Novak documentary, and, you know, an
- 5:33Speaker 2: hour and a half, it was really, really good. Obviously, Novak,
- 5:37Speaker 2: close friend of my brother's, a person who's in our lives, and,
- 5:41Speaker 2: you know, a guy that I will be cheering for
- 5:44Speaker 2: coming this U.S.
- 5:45Speaker 5: Open. Okay.
- 5:47Speaker 4: And the Tour Championship, Art, you going to have anything
- 5:50Speaker 4: along those lines that still, Stoddy Scheffler, is that pretty
- 5:53Speaker 4: much it?
- 5:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, you know, the golf, I always say
- 5:58Speaker 3: with the golf, it's the people are there week in
- 6:00Speaker 3: and week out who want to bet their, you know, 10, 20,
- 6:03Speaker 3: 50 bucks on people to win the tournaments. Obviously, the
- 6:05Speaker 3: majors get the big, big buzz. But outside of that,
- 6:08Speaker 3: I mean, as far as a public, you know, person
- 6:13Speaker 3: who just wants to come in, they're not going to
- 6:15Speaker 3: bet things that aren't the majors for the most part.
- 6:17Speaker 4: I don't, can anybody catch him? I mean, he's the
- 6:21Speaker 4: points leader. Yeah, he's the points leader here. And I
- 6:24Speaker 4: don't know. This is the final, I think, tournament of
- 6:28Speaker 4: the season for the PGA. So it's going to be
- 6:30Speaker 4: winner take all. They talked about and I'd love to
- 6:33Speaker 4: see this, but they had talked about doing match play
- 6:36Speaker 4: on these press instead of this whole BS point system.
- 6:40Speaker 4: I think they're doing it next year. Where when you
- 6:43Speaker 4: get to this point, it's going to.
- 6:44Speaker 5: Be mano y mano.
- 6:45Speaker 4: And that's how you're going to, that's the bracket is
- 6:48Speaker 4: that you're going to have to do match play.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Well, hey, I mean, maybe they go the NASCAR route,
- 6:52Speaker 2: which nobody understands.
- 6:53Speaker 4: I'd much rather see McElroy versus Scheffler than Scheffler just
- 6:57Speaker 4: have more points.
- 6:58Speaker 5: Than everyone else.
- 6:59Speaker 4: And what the, you know, congratulations, whether you finish 20th
- 7:02Speaker 4: or not, you're still winning.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:04Speaker 3: He knows his position.
- 7:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Okay, boys, parlay of the day.
- 7:12Speaker 5: I'm going to go right off the bat.
- 7:13Speaker 1: I'm just taking the Js.
- 7:15Speaker 2: Two and a half back, must-win mode, playing Kansas City. Basically,
- 7:20Speaker 2: pick them at home. That's where I'm going.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Art?
- 7:26Speaker 3: It's a small baseball slate, so I'm actually going to
- 7:28Speaker 3: go to the WNBA. Liberty are about a two, two
- 7:30Speaker 3: and a half point home favorite, so I'm taking them
- 7:32Speaker 3: on the money line.
- 7:35Speaker 5: How did we do yesterday, by the way?
- 7:37Speaker 3: I'll say this. All three of the people on this
- 7:40Speaker 3: show hit.
- 7:42Speaker 5: Oh, Ralph.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Right now. Yeah, Ralph. Ralph screwed us.
- 7:45Speaker 1: So we went three of four again. And that's okay. Again, again.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Rob and those boys.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Rob and those boys.
- 7:51Speaker 5: 100%.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Man, I'm seeing. Joe, did you give your play?
- 7:56Speaker 5: Yankees.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Yankees.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Before we get into the predictive market segment, let's take
- 8:01Speaker 2: care of some business.
- 8:04Speaker 1: So everybody, Art DeCesar.
- 8:07Speaker 2: He is now officially a handicapper over at wager talk.
- 8:12Speaker 1: We could not be happier. Are you kidding me?
- 8:15Speaker 5: A lot of you.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Guys have asked basically, uh, what happened was art was
- 8:20Speaker 2: working at the West gate. Um, and the West gate
- 8:25Speaker 2: was purchased from Caesar by Caesars. A lot of people
- 8:29Speaker 2: became redundant. It's very hard to have two arts. Um,
- 8:34Speaker 2: I mean, I'll take two arts any day of the week, but, uh,
- 8:37Speaker 2: Long story short, after a lot of contemplation and about, what,
- 8:41Speaker 2: seven other job offers, Art has decided that handicapping is
- 8:47Speaker 2: his future.
- 8:48Speaker 1: He's joining WagerTalk full-time.
- 8:49Speaker 2: We could not be more excited to have you. Art,
- 8:53Speaker 2: I want you to tell the audience Two things. One,
- 8:58Speaker 2: how do you continue with your sharp plays and all
- 9:03Speaker 2: this incredible info that you provide on a daily basis?
- 9:06Speaker 2: And also, what do people, what should people expect when
- 9:11Speaker 2: purchasing Art DeCesar? What type of volume? What type of sports?
- 9:16Speaker 2: What type of unit ratings? What type of analysis? That
- 9:19Speaker 2: kind of a thing. Totals, sides, props, money lines. Tell
- 9:23Speaker 2: us about Art DeCesar, the handicapper.
- 9:27Speaker 3: Absolutely. I appreciate you, Prez. Listen, obviously 10 plus years
- 9:31Speaker 3: in the business behind the scenes still have oodles and
- 9:34Speaker 3: oodles of contacts. So, you know, I'll always have my
- 9:38Speaker 3: ear to the ground. First of all, I'm well-versed in
- 9:42Speaker 3: why these numbers get made, why they move, why sharp
- 9:45Speaker 3: action pushes a number one way or the other. And
- 9:48Speaker 3: my contacts with, you know, all the sports books and
- 9:51Speaker 3: the people I know in back rooms will continue to
- 9:54Speaker 3: So sharp information will always be coming in. I'm in
- 9:56Speaker 3: plenty of chats with people. So that stuff's not going to.
- 10:00Speaker 5: Go away.
- 10:00Speaker 3: As far as me as a handicapper goes, listen, I
- 10:03Speaker 3: always say I start as, you know, a regular guy
- 10:05Speaker 3: who's a sports fan who bets every day, but has
- 10:08Speaker 3: that intimate knowledge of things behind the counter. And once again,
- 10:11Speaker 3: why numbers move and all that type of stuff. You know,
- 10:14Speaker 3: I'm a guy who bets the big sports, baseball, hockey,
- 10:16Speaker 3: college basketball, NBA, NFL. You know, college football, I'm in
- 10:21Speaker 3: all those sports. I like getting my hands in the
- 10:23Speaker 3: props a little bit here with the football, sides and
- 10:26Speaker 3: totals for all sports. I wouldn't say I'm a heavy
- 10:28Speaker 3: volume player, probably more of a lower volume player, looking
- 10:31Speaker 3: for situational spots and all those type of things. You know,
- 10:34Speaker 3: I have a free play up now at WagerTalk for
- 10:36Speaker 3: week zero for a total, and you can see kind
- 10:39Speaker 3: of my breakdown on that game there. And, you know,
- 10:42Speaker 3: that's kind of what you can expect from me moving forward.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Wonderful stuff, an arts first play. Client purchase play will
- 10:51Speaker 2: be up later today.
- 10:54Speaker 1: Is that right?
- 10:55Speaker 3: MLB, yes. We're going to have an MLB play up,
- 10:57Speaker 3: you know, probably within the next 30, 40 minutes here.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Okay, there we go, everybody. Art, I already asked for
- 11:06Speaker 1: that segment to be cut. You should use it. Send
- 11:08Speaker 1: it out.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Welcome full time to the WagerTalk family. We are bloody
- 11:14Speaker 2: thrilled to have you. Joe Ranieri, I'm going to rain
- 11:18Speaker 2: on Arts Parade.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Sure.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I've had one 5% play in the last two months,
- 11:25Speaker 2: something like that. I mean, I haven't had one in
- 11:27Speaker 2: all of August. I almost never have a 5% play.
- 11:31Speaker 2: 90% of all my plays are 2% and 3% plays.
- 11:32Speaker 2: I have a college football 5% play up for week zero.
- 11:34Speaker 1: This is insane. a point spread bet.
- 11:44Speaker 2: I absolutely love it. I got some incredible information on it. Plus,
- 11:49Speaker 2: you'll get analysis on why I like to play.
- 11:52Speaker 5: It's $ 35.
- 11:52Speaker 2: It's over at WagerTalk. If you were to bet one
- 11:56Speaker 2: single bet all week, this would be it. And I'm
- 12:00Speaker 2: telling you guys, read between the lines. Go get it
- 12:03Speaker 2: right now. Like right now. Anyway, Joe, 5%. College football
- 12:10Speaker 2: played for me on week zero. What do you got
- 12:12Speaker 2: going for the clients?
- 12:14Speaker 5: Outstanding, Prez.
- 12:16Speaker 4: We've got another Major League Baseball play up, and I, too,
- 12:21Speaker 4: have a week.
- 12:22Speaker 5: Zero college football play. Welcome back, football.
- 12:25Speaker 4: That is also going to be available over at wagertalk.com.
- 12:30Speaker 5: Get them both.
- 12:31Speaker 4: I'm putting them together, so you can just go get
- 12:33Speaker 4: them both here and get ready for what should be
- 12:35Speaker 4: a whole lot of fun from this Saturday moving forward.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Damn straight.
- 12:40Speaker 2: Lots of shows still left, everybody. We got the predictive
- 12:43Speaker 2: market segments coming up. Some college football week zero talk.
- 12:47Speaker 2: NFL preseason week three. We'll discuss some of the games
- 12:51Speaker 2: that are going even today. Our MLB rundown. Our mailbag section.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Hit the like button. Subscribe to our channel.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Yeah. So that's where we're at. Okay. So predictive markets, Joe.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I do want to dabble real quick.
- 13:09Speaker 2: We will talk Bitcoin, obviously, but I definitely want to
- 13:12Speaker 2: talk AL East.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Not East, AL. Who's going to make the wild card?
- 13:18Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, where is Bitcoin today?
- 13:23Speaker 2: Bitcoin, where are you?
- 13:28Speaker 1: Oh, you're that high up.
- 13:31Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Oh, are you over 80 now?
- 13:36Speaker 2: Oh, did someone say that was going to happen by
- 13:40Speaker 2: this week?
- 13:40Speaker 4: Yes.
- 13:43Speaker 2: Joe, I think we got to keep with the momentum here.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I think the run is on. The FOMO is kicking in.
- 13:51Speaker 2: This has gone up close to $ 20, 000 over the last month,
- 13:57Speaker 2: 15 grand over the last month. We have seen this
- 14:03Speaker 2: story play out. Be careful right now, guys.
- 14:09Speaker 1: There is going to be drops, fast drops.
- 14:12Speaker 2: On our way to 131.40. But on a whole, I
- 14:16Speaker 2: think you should feel comfortable betting over by 5 p.m.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Eastern basically every day. If it's at 80, take over 80, 250.
- 14:24Speaker 5: Yes, 48 cents.
- 14:24Speaker 2: If tomorrow it's at 82, take over 82.50. This is
- 14:33Speaker 2: going to continue to move in the right direction regardless
- 14:38Speaker 2: of what Mr. Ben McKenzie has to say.
- 14:43Speaker 1: There we go. That's my Bitcoin take.
- 14:46Speaker 3: Who the hell is that?
- 14:48Speaker 1: He's the guy that was the actor in The O.C.
- 14:52Speaker 5: Oh, yes.
- 14:53Speaker 1: And he played Commissioner Gordon in Gotham.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Yeah, in Gotham, sure.
- 14:58Speaker 2: And now he's playing Crypto is a Ponzi Scheme. Watch
- 15:03Speaker 2: my documentary and read my book. I'm a genius economist.
- 15:07Speaker 1: No one is smarter.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Okay.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Well, that'll show him. That's right.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Listen, he's a very intelligent guy. Like he was on
- 15:16Speaker 2: Bill Maher a few months ago talking about Bitcoin. And
- 15:20Speaker 2: although I do not agree with him, he is extremely intelligent,
- 15:25Speaker 2: very communicative and seems like a genuinely good dude. So
- 15:29Speaker 2: with that said, Ben McKenzie.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Go Bitcoin!
- 15:34Speaker 5: Stuff it. Yeah, exactly, Ben. Way to go. 80 grand.
- 15:37Speaker 5: Love it.
- 15:38Speaker 4: All right, you wanted to see what was going on
- 15:40Speaker 4: for the playoffs? Is that what you wanted to see here?
- 15:43Speaker 4: And who is actually going to have a chance to
- 15:46Speaker 4: make the American or anybody?
- 15:47Speaker 2: Yeah, because I want to look at that chart, Joe.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Let's look at that chart from Monday to now.
- 15:52Speaker 5: Okay.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Because there's been some hell of an opportunity. Like, it's
- 15:57Speaker 2: so volatile.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Let's see here.
- 15:59Speaker 5: Let's see.
- 16:00Speaker 2: How could Cleveland possibly be at 61%?
- 16:06Speaker 1: What am I missing here, guys?
- 16:08Speaker 2: They are half a game up with one, two, three, four,
- 16:13Speaker 2: six teams right behind them, all in striking distance. I
- 16:20Speaker 2: know they got two shots at the playoffs, but 61%
- 16:23Speaker 2: seems very high to me.
- 16:25Speaker 4: You got all of these teams right here. San Diego, Cleveland, Houston, Arizona.
- 16:31Speaker 2: There's no chance San Diego makes it into the AL
- 16:35Speaker 2: wildcard spot.
- 16:36Speaker 1: 0%.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Yeah, but it's 68 cents. Are they really going to overtake?
- 16:41Speaker 4: Is Arizona's going.
- 16:42Speaker 5: To catch him? I don't know.
- 16:44Speaker 2: Well, given that we're talking AL, I'm saying 0% both teams.
- 16:49Speaker 4: No, we're actually talking about teams making the postseason, because
- 16:52Speaker 4: that's how it is in the predictive market. They don't
- 16:54Speaker 4: give a crap about American League.
- 16:56Speaker 5: It's just broken down full.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I like the color of that Seattle glove. That would
- 17:02Speaker 2: be a great color for a Lamborghini.
- 17:06Speaker 3: What about.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Why is Toronto 17, 18 cents?
- 17:12Speaker 1: It's crazy to.
- 17:13Speaker 4: Me, and.
- 17:14Speaker 3: That's what President I said when we talked, yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 1: They win tonight, Cleveland loses. They're a game and a
- 17:20Speaker 1: half back. That's crazy. And this is what I'm saying.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Guys, I'm telling you now, I think the way to...
- 17:27Speaker 2: How is Seattle... Well, I guess they have two chances.
- 17:30Speaker 2: But I think the way to tackle this is to
- 17:32Speaker 2: really look at teams like Baltimore and Toronto. I mean,
- 17:37Speaker 2: Baltimore has, you know, half the game up on Toronto
- 17:42Speaker 2: and are two points behind them in the percentage chance.
- 17:47Speaker 2: None of this makes sense. I would look at Toronto
- 17:51Speaker 2: and Seattle as for, you know, Arizona, San Diego, I
- 17:57Speaker 2: would take San Diego.
- 18:00Speaker 4: The problem with all of this is it's extremely volatile
- 18:03Speaker 4: because one five game winning streak, changes this entire board overnight.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Which is exactly why the low-hanging fruit are the way
- 18:13Speaker 2: to go here.
- 18:14Speaker 5: That's crazy. By low.
- 18:15Speaker 2: Art, where was Toronto three days ago? Were they not, like,
- 18:23Speaker 2: they were plus 210 or something.
- 18:26Speaker 3: Something around that number. Who bet the A's?
- 18:28Speaker 1: One cent.
- 18:28Speaker 3: They were higher than that press.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Oh!
- 18:34Speaker 5: How are the A's going to make the bet? Somebody
- 18:37Speaker 5: by one cent. The A's have a one cent price.
- 18:41Speaker 5: You have two games in a row, I think.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Wow.
- 18:44Speaker 5: Miami's done. Detroit's done.
- 18:47Speaker 3: I'm AL East. I like Toronto and Baltimore. Baltimore scores
- 18:51Speaker 3: 100 runs a game now. I mean, you know, I'm
- 18:55Speaker 3: worried about their pitching, but the way they're slugging right
- 18:57Speaker 3: now in that offense, I mean, Baltimore. I like the
- 19:01Speaker 3: no on Seattle.
- 19:01Speaker 5: 62 cents. Yeah. Seattle's not making the postseason. Not happening. Nope.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Brian Wu can't pitch anymore. Bryce Miller's an absolute gas can.
- 19:15Speaker 4: They have no starting. Absolutely not.
- 19:18Speaker 5: Seattle's not making it.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the strength.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Of their team. Can we look at the no on Cleveland?
- 19:25Speaker 5: On Cleveland? Let's see.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Yeah, they're two and a half back on the White Sox.
- 19:30Speaker 2: I don't see the White Sox relinquishing that division. And
- 19:33Speaker 2: as far as the wildcard goes... Cleveland has as much
- 19:37Speaker 2: chance of getting in as Texas.
- 19:39Speaker 1: And Baltimore and Toronto.
- 19:40Speaker 4: I think Cleveland needs to win that division to get in.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I don't think they do. I don't think they win
- 19:48Speaker 2: that division, guys. So where is the no on Cleveland?
- 19:51Speaker 5: 40 cents.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's a good bet, Art.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, this is... You're kind of just picking,
- 20:01Speaker 3: you know, the worst of the worst here. But as
- 20:03Speaker 3: far as the teams who are up there, like you
- 20:04Speaker 3: just said, Cleveland and even Texas... Those teams night in
- 20:08Speaker 3: and night out are playing these bad teams like the Angels,
- 20:11Speaker 3: and they're struggling with those teams. I can't trust those teams.
- 20:15Speaker 3: I think Texas is bad. They're another one.
- 20:21Speaker 2: Joe, Cleveland is 8-2 in their last 10. I mean,
- 20:24Speaker 2: is this not the perfect time to bet against them?
- 20:28Speaker 5: Yeah, but the.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Problem is that they made a lot of moves at
- 20:32Speaker 4: the deadline to bolster that lineup and to try to
- 20:35Speaker 4: give themselves a chance at it. They were more than
- 20:39Speaker 4: capable of winning eight out of every ten games, but
- 20:42Speaker 4: they finally started to do it. The question is, is
- 20:45Speaker 4: this the moment where they're kicking it? Because they've been
- 20:48Speaker 4: up and they've been terrible all year long.
- 20:51Speaker 5: Terribly inconsistent.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Are they going to see next?
- 20:54Speaker 5: Look at the schedule.
- 20:55Speaker 4: That's really the kicker, is who they got coming up here.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Because I still don't trust the White Sox. That's my problem.
- 21:03Speaker 5: And you would.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Figure they'd play again.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Yeah, one more time, I think.
- 21:06Speaker 3: They've got to have a series left, right?
- 21:08Speaker 5: Yeah, I think they have one more series left.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Yep.
- 21:10Speaker 5: Mm-hmm. What else, boys? I don't know. Give me no
- 21:16Speaker 5: on all of them. Yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 4: And you know what's going to happen? Minnesota's going to
- 21:21Speaker 4: end up making it, right?
- 21:22Speaker 5: Yeah. It's going to be Minnesota.
- 21:23Speaker 3: The one team we didn't talk about.
- 21:25Speaker 1: That's great.
- 21:26Speaker 5: Awful. Absolutely awful.
- 21:28Speaker 1: Listen, they're only four out, right?
- 21:30Speaker 5: Yep.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Four out on the wild card spot, so... You know,
- 21:36Speaker 1: they're not completely out of this thing.
- 21:38Speaker 5: No.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Six and a half back on the division. That's not
- 21:42Speaker 1: going to happen. Nope.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Although, as a Toronto Blue Jay fan, I can tell you,
- 21:47Speaker 2: six out with six games to go, Doyle Alexander doesn't
- 21:51Speaker 2: guarantee shit.
- 21:53Speaker 5: Oh, I like that. I kind of like that, yeah.
- 21:55Speaker 5: Doyle Alexander's nice.
- 21:56Speaker 1: Do you know what I'm talking about?
- 21:58Speaker 5: That is some reference. What is that, 85?
- 21:59Speaker 2: Holy shit.
- 22:00Speaker 3: 85.
- 22:05Speaker 1: It was before. No. Didn't they win it? No, they
- 22:09Speaker 1: won it.
- 22:10Speaker 3: When did they win it?
- 22:12Speaker 1: 92-93.
- 22:13Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 22:13Speaker 1: So then it was like 89-90. It was right before
- 22:16Speaker 1: they won. No, no, no.
- 22:17Speaker 5: It wasn't.
- 22:18Speaker 1: It was like 87-88.
- 22:18Speaker 2: Yeah, it was with Dave, Steve, and those guys. They
- 22:22Speaker 2: were up six with six to go.
- 22:24Speaker 3: Bobby Cox was the manager?
- 22:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Wow. That was his last year, right before Speedo. Anyway.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Let's move on. CFB a week. Zero art. What do
- 22:38Speaker 1: you got for us? Yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 3: I mean, listen, we talked about it kind of in
- 22:41Speaker 3: the sharp bets here. Some of the games that have moved,
- 22:43Speaker 3: obviously TCU has moved up all the way to nine.
- 22:45Speaker 3: Now there has been a buyback on NC state. You know,
- 22:49Speaker 3: we had talked yesterday, Virginia had gotten up as high
- 22:52Speaker 3: as six and there's been a little bit of buyback
- 22:54Speaker 3: on NC state, you know, and another thing we've basically
- 22:57Speaker 3: talked about these last couple of weeks, these numbers have
- 23:00Speaker 3: been out for months and months and months. So we
- 23:01Speaker 3: were definitely going to see, Lines move early, and then
- 23:04Speaker 3: where's going to be the buyback? Obviously, you saw the
- 23:07Speaker 3: buyback on NC State. You saw the buyback on Memphis.
- 23:10Speaker 3: You saw the buyback on Hawaii. A lot of teams
- 23:12Speaker 3: that got up as high as 5.5, 6, and now
- 23:15Speaker 3: they've creeped back down to 4, 4.5.
- 23:18Speaker 4: You know what else, Art, is that they've– you're talking
- 23:22Speaker 4: about teams that have had a long time to prep
- 23:26Speaker 4: for one game. So yeah, which makes totals very dangerous
- 23:32Speaker 4: here because you give anybody, I don't care that much
- 23:36Speaker 4: time to prep for one team.
- 23:37Speaker 5: You got, it's going to be, it's going to be interesting.
- 23:41Speaker 4: I'm fascinated talking to people about this NC state team
- 23:45Speaker 4: because People either love them.
- 23:48Speaker 5: Or hate them.
- 23:49Speaker 4: They've got a great quarterback. They've got a great running back.
- 23:52Speaker 4: They've got a great head coach here. The defense was
- 23:55Speaker 4: terrible last year. It's going to be terrible again this year.
- 23:58Speaker 4: But offensively, in the ACC, they can compete. And do
- 24:03Speaker 4: you know who has the oldest team by average age, Prez,
- 24:08Speaker 4: in all of college football?
- 24:12Speaker 1: Alabama.
- 24:13Speaker 5: No, that can't be true.
- 24:15Speaker 1: That can't be true because they send.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Guys to the NFL. I would have went Indiana because
- 24:19Speaker 5: that's what Signetti does.
- 24:20Speaker 1: It's teams that don't send people to the NFL. SMU.
- 24:25Speaker 5: Virginia. As the oldest average.
- 24:28Speaker 4: Now, when you have a bunch of 25-year-olds, does that
- 24:32Speaker 4: mean you're going to win? I mean, they got a
- 24:34Speaker 4: lot of people back, but they were better than anybody
- 24:38Speaker 4: thought they were going to be last year.
- 24:40Speaker 5: And now they got older. I don't know.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Usually when you say, oh, they got older, it's like, oh,
- 24:45Speaker 4: that team's terrible. But in this case?
- 24:48Speaker 1: Well, the kids don't.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Yeah, right. That's the funny part. It's like you're going,
- 24:53Speaker 4: so wait, they're 25. Yeah, the average age is almost
- 24:56Speaker 4: 26 years old on Virginia.
- 24:58Speaker 1: Yeah, so they are exactly 31.
- 25:00Speaker 3: And this was a game that was going to be
- 25:01Speaker 3: in Brazil.
- 25:02Speaker 5: Correct.
- 25:04Speaker 3: And it got moved, so they get an actual home game.
- 25:06Speaker 5: Yep, yep.
- 25:08Speaker 1: I would not sleep. 31 years away from their prime.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly. That's what I'm laughing at. 32 years away
- 25:16Speaker 5: from their prime.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Yep, yep.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Okay, my favorite play in week zero, total-wise, UNLV, Memphis.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Over the total.
- 25:26Speaker 2: My power ratings has it at 59-ish. 59, 59 and
- 25:31Speaker 2: a half. It's 56 and a half. We got a
- 25:33Speaker 2: full field goal opportunity here. I like the over in
- 25:38Speaker 2: the Memphis UNLV game. NFL week three preseason, what do
- 25:45Speaker 2: you got?
- 25:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, listen, this preseason week three is going
- 25:50Speaker 3: to lose a lot of its luster because obviously we're
- 25:52Speaker 3: all gearing up for the college football on Saturday. But,
- 25:54Speaker 3: you know, just to mention again, Buffalo went to three
- 25:57Speaker 3: off one, one and a half. Vegas has moved a lot.
- 26:00Speaker 3: You know, it's funny, the totals really haven't budged that much.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Half a point here, half a point there. Like the
- 26:06Speaker 3: Charger game really hasn't moved at all. It was 38
- 26:09Speaker 3: and a half, still 38 and a half. So I
- 26:12Speaker 3: think the Sharp guys are probably going to be betting
- 26:15Speaker 3: this week. But I don't think you're going to see
- 26:17Speaker 3: much public action on these preseason games.
- 26:21Speaker 4: I'll tell you this, just to give you an update here.
- 26:23Speaker 4: I have the record. Preseason thus far, Dawgs 18-13-1 straight up.
- 26:29Speaker 5: 22-9-1 against the spread, one pick'em. Unders are 20-13.
- 26:32Speaker 4: So 20 unders, 13 overs so far in two weeks
- 26:33Speaker 4: of the preseason matchups here. And we gave it to
- 26:46Speaker 4: you yesterday. To me, give me the over in Cleveland
- 26:49Speaker 4: all day. You got quarterback competitions there. Who's going to
- 26:53Speaker 4: be the backup? You got a Browns team that's probably
- 26:57Speaker 4: sick and tired of people talking about them.
- 27:00Speaker 5: Probably not going to be great.
- 27:01Speaker 4: I think Baltimore destroys Washington also coming up here. And
- 27:08Speaker 4: Tua is starting for Atlanta against Miami. in the final
- 27:12Speaker 4: preseason game. Art, I'm having a hard time figuring out
- 27:15Speaker 4: if that's a good thing for Miami or a bad
- 27:19Speaker 4: thing for Miami.
- 27:20Speaker 5: Atlanta's been terrible.
- 27:22Speaker 4: And I'm hearing in Miami, the practices are so bad.
- 27:27Speaker 4: It's not, the offenses are just terrible in this game here.
- 27:32Speaker 4: So maybe this is the under that we should be
- 27:34Speaker 4: looking at.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know, I know we've talked about this
- 27:38Speaker 3: in the future market a lot. I'm starting to think
- 27:40Speaker 3: more and more Miami's the worst team, not Arizona.
- 27:42Speaker 5: Oh, yeah. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. But I will take the
- 27:47Speaker 5: Jets to win the game against the Giants.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Joe, I'm going with the Rams.
- 27:51Speaker 2: And I know you spoke about the Chargers just being
- 27:54Speaker 2: a disaster.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Well, here they are.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Minus three and a half. Why can't the Rams win
- 28:00Speaker 2: this game? I think they could win outright. I'm getting
- 28:04Speaker 2: three plus a hook. Man, the Rams just have so
- 28:09Speaker 2: much talent, even their second tier. The Rams are the
- 28:13Speaker 2: bet for me week three NFL preseason.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Baseball rundown. The two of you, let's go.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Ooh, Art. All right.
- 28:21Speaker 4: Only eight games here today, Art. Not a ton going on.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Some afternoon baseball here. Nobody cares about the Rockies and Nats.
- 28:31Speaker 4: So let's do Cardinals and Orioles. Trevor Rogers on the
- 28:34Speaker 4: mound for the Orioles. Does it really matter who's there
- 28:38Speaker 4: for the Cardinals? Because they can't hit anyway. What do
- 28:40Speaker 4: you think, Art?
- 28:41Speaker 3: This, I mean, Baltimore has exploded in this series, scoring
- 28:46Speaker 3: a million runs. I I'm going to ride the hot
- 28:48Speaker 3: Baltimore offense.
- 28:49Speaker 5: Give me the Orioles. I'm going to take their team
- 28:51Speaker 5: total over.
- 28:52Speaker 4: There's something called a herpy pitching or a jerk.
- 28:55Speaker 5: I can't tell. It's new. Astros and the Yankees. You know,
- 29:01Speaker 5: I'm on the Yankees, Art. What are you thinking?
- 29:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, this has been a wild series as well,
- 29:06Speaker 3: but got to lean the Yankees here.
- 29:09Speaker 5: Fred, you said Blue Jays or did you have the
- 29:11Speaker 5: Royals today?
- 29:12Speaker 1: No, I like the Blue Jays, brother.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Blue Jays.
- 29:15Speaker 1: I think the Blue Jays are a bet on team
- 29:17Speaker 1: for the next week.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Blue Jays, good price. Minus 105. We'll go with that.
- 29:22Speaker 4: Brewers and the Mizorowski versus... Listen, I mean, I'm not
- 29:27Speaker 4: a big fan of laying $ 2, but.
- 29:31Speaker 5: I'm not betting against Miz against the Mets on, are you?
- 29:35Speaker 3: No, Mets team total under.
- 29:37Speaker 5: Yeah, no thanks.
- 29:38Speaker 4: Yamamoto versus Chris Sale, pitching battle of the day.
- 29:43Speaker 5: The total is six and a half, Art. Is it
- 29:44Speaker 5: too much?
- 29:47Speaker 3: This is a great matchup. What a matchup. But yeah,
- 29:51Speaker 3: I get why it's there, but there might be some
- 29:54Speaker 3: runs in this game, surprisingly. bullpens because the bullpens are
- 29:57Speaker 3: a little, you know, little work worked.
- 29:59Speaker 5: Yeah. By the way, the Dodgers won a game yet
- 30:01Speaker 5: at Truist. No, no. Going for the sweep here. Atlanta is.
- 30:07Speaker 4: And then the Giants in epic fashion gave up nine
- 30:10Speaker 4: runs in the top of the ninth inning yesterday to
- 30:13Speaker 4: the Reds to lose, which had to have been might
- 30:17Speaker 4: have been the funniest thing I've actually ever. I was
- 30:19Speaker 4: on air watching this game. They were plus 8300 going
- 30:22Speaker 4: into the ninth inning.
- 30:25Speaker 5: The Reds. Plus $ 8, 300.
- 30:26Speaker 2: When are you not on air?
- 30:30Speaker 5: You have no idea.
- 30:32Speaker 4: But Giants and Diamondbacks, I don't know why Giants are...
- 30:37Speaker 4: This is a strange price to me, Art.
- 30:39Speaker 5: It's pickup.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Yeah, Sharps are on D-back.
- 30:43Speaker 5: In San Francisco. At night.
- 30:47Speaker 1: I'm just jumping in on a segment I'm not allowed
- 30:49Speaker 1: in on.
- 30:49Speaker 5: No, you're going.
- 30:50Speaker 1: I like the over.
- 30:52Speaker 5: It's eight.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Who said you're not allowed in it?
- 30:56Speaker 1: I want the over on that game, please.
- 30:59Speaker 5: I don't get the price because the Giants are awful.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Pick them.
- 31:03Speaker 4: I'm going to go with Prez. I'll take the over
- 31:05Speaker 4: on this one here. Give me a couple of home runs,
- 31:07Speaker 4: a couple of long balls. Devers is finally hitting again,
- 31:10Speaker 4: so that's actually good news for the Giants.
- 31:12Speaker 5: There you go, Prez. You ruined the segment.
- 31:15Speaker 1: Okay, boys, let's go through the mailbag.
- 31:18Speaker 2: So 23 Degenerate writes, one day Art will be bigger
- 31:22Speaker 2: than Bezos. Art's already bigger than Bezos. What a freaking lineup.
- 31:28Speaker 2: 23 Degenerate again.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I agree.
- 31:31Speaker 5: Hey, folks, we're not.
- 31:34Speaker 1: Asking Art to share sharp bets anymore. Oh, yes, we are. Art,
- 31:38Speaker 1: you're going to be sharing sharp bets every single day, correct?
- 31:42Speaker 3: Yeah, well, it's funny. And I responded to that guy.
- 31:44Speaker 3: I think we missed it one day, Prez.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Yes.
- 31:46Speaker 3: But anyone, anyone who asked in the comments, I gave
- 31:49Speaker 3: the sharp plays to them. And then I said the
- 31:51Speaker 3: same thing to the guy yesterday. I'm like, no, we
- 31:53Speaker 3: went over them. And then I let him know what
- 31:55Speaker 3: they were, but no, we're going to do sharp bets forever.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Uh, then we've got, um, A lot of really great
- 32:05Speaker 2: stuff about Ralph.
- 32:07Speaker 1: They love the pen. They love TNA. I love Ralph.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Can we swap Prez for Ralph permanently?
- 32:15Speaker 2: I mean, you can, if you'd like. Big fan of
- 32:21Speaker 2: the show. They want a prop segment on.
- 32:24Speaker 1: The show, so.
- 32:26Speaker 2: We're actually meeting right after this show, guys, to discuss
- 32:29Speaker 2: the format for this upcoming season. We will 100% have
- 32:33Speaker 2: a prop segment both on Monday and Thursday, and we
- 32:37Speaker 2: will likely have a prop segment for Friday as well
- 32:41Speaker 2: where we'll look at the props for the Sunday week card.
- 32:46Speaker 2: New York City, I got my week one NFL. Can
- 32:49Speaker 2: we get everyone's picks too? You know, I mean, I
- 32:53Speaker 2: don't mind Monday going through. You want to do a
- 32:56Speaker 2: rundown Monday, top to.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Bottom, before I leave on early leads on NFL week one?
- 33:02Speaker 1: I'm gay. We'll do that on Monday.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 33:04Speaker 5: Wait, wait, wait. Freebird. Great show, gentlemen. Wait, wait, wait.
- 33:08Speaker 5: When are you doing the presidential address?
- 33:11Speaker 1: I start taping on Tuesdays.
- 33:13Speaker 5: Well, then they can see on Tuesday.
- 33:15Speaker 4: They can watch it then, and you go through every
- 33:17Speaker 4: goddamn game on a board anyway. So watch the presidential address.
- 33:20Speaker 4: We're just giving games we care about.
- 33:22Speaker 2: There you go.
- 33:25Speaker 5: Chad, bang, bang.
- 33:26Speaker 2: Well done, gentlemen. I appreciate your wisdom. Bob, I love
- 33:30Speaker 2: the Ralph Michaels segment. And Bada Bing, Art, you read
- 33:34Speaker 2: his comment. It was spectacular. And I'm going to read

- 33:43Speaker 1: For many years, mainly through the website.
- 33:44Speaker 2: I'm not ever looking for picks as I've been handicapping

- 34:26Speaker 2: buy art? Does everybody win their first play?
- 34:31Speaker 1: I don't know the answer to that.
- 34:33Speaker 4: First thing they should do is go get their... Go

- 34:43Speaker 3: baseball prospect comes up, first swing, home run.
- 34:45Speaker 5: Correct, yep.
- 34:47Speaker 1: Guys, I'm not here tomorrow. I'm back on Monday.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Please get my 5% college football week zero play.
