- 0:10Yeah. Oh. hi welcome to ben with the boys fast
- 0:20slaps i was flying joe we are back after the
- 0:24belgian grand prix spa francorchamps uh i'm here
- 0:30hosting this week i guess yep uh with the one
- 0:34the only infamous the infamous how are you doing
- 0:38schmelze uh good you're this is weird being on
- 0:42this side i was gonna say you're in you're in
- 0:43someone else's seat today i'm in someone else's
- 0:45seat uh You just opened the show because I was
- 0:48busy flying. I feel weird right now. This is
- 0:51weird. I don't know what's going on. If you think
- 0:55about it, this is kind of what we were doing
- 0:57for a while. Just you and me, especially at the
- 1:01end of last season. It was just you and me for
- 1:03a good while. Almost half of the season, I would
- 1:06say. But we were blessed to get Mike as an addition.
- 1:09We were blessed to get Mike, yeah. And we love
- 1:11all of our past guests as well. Past co -hosts
- 1:14and such. Mike did, unfortunately, perish due
- 1:17to work this week. No, no, no. Mike did not perish.
- 1:20He's well alive. He's doing his best Carlos Sainz
- 1:23impression. He is, he is. Mike will be back,
- 1:26though. Work just got the better of him this
- 1:30week. Got the better of him. Unbelievable. Mike
- 1:34is coming back to attack you, I hope. I hope
- 1:36so. Yeah. I hope so. But no. Yeah. Work has sucked
- 1:39this week. That's all right. Kev's here. Kev.
- 1:42What's up, Kev? What's up, dude? He says, what's
- 1:45up, dude? What's up? Anyway, let's move on. Holy
- 1:48crap. Belgian GP recap. Let's get into it. Oh,
- 2:06my God. Did you guys see that? If you're on YouTube,
- 2:08you would have seen Joe just flying. Yeah. Let's
- 2:11kick it off. I guess I am hosting this. It was
- 2:14a joke, but I think I'm going to just host this
- 2:15week. Let's go for it. No, Mike. It's all weird.
- 2:19We've, of course, forgot to mention it last week.
- 2:22It was a sprint weekend, so we got one practice,
- 2:25and then we got sprint, crawly, sprint, and then
- 2:27race, crawly, and then race. Should we predict
- 2:28sprints from now on? Nah, it's doing too much.
- 2:30No, no, no, no, no. Maybe we'll look at something
- 2:32next year. I think it's too much, though. We
- 2:34should predict pole next year. yeah it's not
- 2:36a bad day we could do that we could do that um
- 2:38so i didn't have anything on the practice session
- 2:40that happened i think i did watch a quick recap
- 2:43but i don't think anything crazy happened i was
- 2:45watching alpine so i quit watching uh we i do
- 2:48have one they were 19 and 20 i'm pretty sure
- 2:51they do have one funny note to make about alpine
- 2:53yeah i do have one funny note to make about alpine
- 2:56during the race um but sprint quali um a couple
- 2:59of A couple of things happened. We saw Hamilton
- 3:02go off at the new bus stop chicane at the end
- 3:05of his sprint quality one lap. There wasn't a
- 3:09crash, but that did knock him out of sprint quality
- 3:12one. He did. He was a very interesting weekend.
- 3:14Very bad qualifying weekend. Antonelli also out
- 3:19in SQ1 in 20th. I got a lot to say. Bad, bad
- 3:22weekend for him as well. Start of qualifying
- 3:26two was delayed due to gravel from Kimmy's first
- 3:30run. there was actually a very big sweat in sprint
- 3:35quality too both mclarens were almost knocked
- 3:38out um i believe it was norris that was like
- 3:42two positions away from elimination uh it was
- 3:45it was just really really really high uh evolution
- 3:49on the track and neither of them got good laps
- 3:51in so that was a bit of a sweat while i was watching
- 3:53um and then to finish it off russell out in sq2
- 3:56along with sonota which is you know kind of par
- 3:58for the course at this point um but not a bad
- 4:01quality yeah sorry sorry no i was just gonna
- 4:04say not a bad regular quality for yuki oh yeah
- 4:06no no no yeah definitely not yeah it wouldn't
- 4:08be a bad regular quality and he actually did
- 4:10end up doing better in the actual quality itself
- 4:12um we did see him get into the top 10 along with
- 4:15hajar and lawson right behind him lawson yeah
- 4:19bortoletto too also getting into the top 10 had
- 4:21a good weekend uh race quality so during the
- 4:24sprint race itself verstappen did get ahead very
- 4:27early, took the lead, and then kept the lead.
- 4:30And so it was Verstappen, Piastri, De Norris.
- 4:34And then inside the points, we actually got Behrman
- 4:36and Hadjar. And Ocon! Ocon was fifth in the sprint.
- 4:40That was a big mention. Unfortunately, just the
- 4:43sprint, so didn't get the crazy amount of points,
- 4:47but crazy good showing, I would say. The one
- 4:50thing I wanted to note about Alpine is that Gasly,
- 4:53I think, was starting ninth. uh he did his formation
- 4:56lap he went into the pits the race started and
- 4:59he came out two laps later two laps behind and
- 5:02finished the race that like that so something
- 5:04happened to him i just thought it was crazy that
- 5:06i thought he was retiring but he came back out
- 5:07on track and finished the race and the commentators
- 5:09were calling it just like extra practice for
- 5:11him which which i mean hey with quality the next
- 5:14day yep for the gp same day or same day i'm sorry
- 5:16yeah correct why not yep You're totally right.
- 5:19It is weird, though. It is a little different.
- 5:20Yeah. And then the only note I have for the race
- 5:23quality. Exactly. Exactly. The only note I have
- 5:26for race quality is Hamilton out in Q1 again.
- 5:28So, I mean, do we want to start there? Just talk
- 5:30about Hamilton and Red Bull. Do we want to start
- 5:33somewhere else? Maybe a little higher? Maybe
- 5:35the dominant team? What do you mean, talk about
- 5:38Hamilton and Red Bull? I'm sorry, Hamilton. Did
- 5:41I say Red Bull? I meant Ferrari. Oh, yeah. I
- 5:43was like, was there some dramatic news that I
- 5:45don't know about? Hamilton to Red Bull. Where's
- 5:47the tinfoil hat? It's right behind you. Nah,
- 5:50not worth it. It was a joke. Nah, let's just
- 5:54start at the McLarens. Start at the McLarens.
- 5:55Give them their flowers. Yeah. Nothing else to
- 5:59say, really, at least for me as a non -McLaren
- 6:01fan, other than what a performance. Yeah. It
- 6:06sucks for Lando, though, actually. There was
- 6:08multiple miscues for Lando as a driver, and then
- 6:12the mechanics let him down, too. That mid -race
- 6:16box at lap 22 -ish or whatever, that front -left
- 6:20tire -putter -honor guy. man big mess up dog
- 6:25he messed up once tried to reset messed up again
- 6:27and then finally got it on but by that i mean
- 6:29that's we're talking a good pit is what two seconds
- 6:32two point i mean that's a really good pit like
- 6:342 .2 .0 is crazy right but like you'd be happy
- 6:37with 2 .2 2 .3 yeah i mean you're costing crazy
- 6:40time and then lando locking up a couple times
- 6:43locking up a couple times the biggest moment
- 6:46um he had a really weird restart because we did
- 6:49a, instead of doing a standing start first, first
- 6:52of all, we had a huge. delay yeah an hour and
- 6:56a half i think just about um maybe a little less
- 6:59uh and instead of starting a standing start we
- 7:03decided to do a rolling start it's funny you
- 7:05say you disliked it yeah it's funny yeah on roll
- 7:07f4 it's funny you say you disliked it because
- 7:09i actually have one of the notes that mike did
- 7:11give me when he called me earlier he loves it
- 7:13um was that as much as it made the start boring
- 7:16um he actually is glad they did a rolling start
- 7:19because of how dangerous spock just can be in
- 7:23general well and they didn't turn on drs for
- 7:24a while i mean while it's wet they wouldn't right
- 7:27right right and that track was wet for it was
- 7:30solid 20 laps until it even started to look like
- 7:33it was drying out yep yeah it definitely was
- 7:36um but i agree uh rolling starts were usually
- 7:39um i prefer standing starts obviously but the
- 7:43rolling starts made for an interesting start
- 7:45to the race lando had a really weird start i
- 7:48mean i think he started like way before the bus
- 7:50top chicane um And then I think the reason why
- 7:54he lost his position so quickly was he had a
- 7:56bad turn into turn one, but also he used a lot
- 7:59of his battery on the restart. And so Oscar just
- 8:02passed him no issue. No problem. And that was
- 8:05it. It was a weird pass almost. Yeah, no problem.
- 8:08And Oscar was... I'm just trying to think of
- 8:13the race as a whole. I mean, he felt immaculate.
- 8:17I don't think he had really many issues at all.
- 8:19Yeah, so... Stella came out and said that they
- 8:23were kind of, quote, racing like champions. I
- 8:25mean, that's the truth. They're 1 -2, right,
- 8:26in the standings right now. So they're literally
- 8:29fighting for the championship as well. Of course,
- 8:32McLaren coming out, doing their thing. You got
- 8:35anything else on them? Oh, what I did want to
- 8:36ask. Yeah. That rolling start, you could see
- 8:39just the, what do they call it, the rain coming
- 8:44off the tires. There's a word for it. Displacement?
- 8:46The spray. Or the spray, water displacement.
- 8:49You got a word for it, Kev? Spray. He says spray.
- 8:52Spray. So the spray. Have you played or raced
- 8:58in a wet race yet on F125? I assume you have.
- 9:01Yes, I have. So how? There sounds like there's
- 9:05a story behind here. So this is a two -parter.
- 9:07First part. How difficult is it to see in the
- 9:10game with the spray? Do they make it pretty realistic?
- 9:12I don't think visibility is too bad. It's definitely
- 9:14not. Because on that rolling start behind the
- 9:16McLarens, I'm like. you can't see anything dude
- 9:19yeah i mean i'm never behind anyone in the game
- 9:22so you know i don't have right sorry i'm a realist
- 9:26i i know where i belong i think visibility is
- 9:29okay i don't think they make it very good at
- 9:30being like looking good and realistic but like
- 9:33which would be tough i would imagine yeah i'm
- 9:35not i'm no graphic they also they also don't
- 9:37want you to be completely blind right but i mean
- 9:39even though it would be kind of cool um i know
- 9:42make it as real as it's a simulation game make
- 9:44it as real as it's supposed to be Just so you
- 9:46can barely see the little red light and you're
- 9:48like, oh, shit. Yeah. You know, oh, well. Anyway,
- 9:51so what's the story on the wet racing? Wet racing
- 9:54is just, it's like it's okay, I guess. Like,
- 9:58the problem is not the wet racing or rather the
- 10:01wet driving. The problem is the wet racing against
- 10:03the AIs because they are not as affected. They
- 10:05do not have, they don't have the same level of
- 10:08tire wear as the player does. Can you adjust
- 10:11that? No. Really? I mean, you could turn down
- 10:14their difficulty, and then you could be faster.
- 10:17That's one thing that you could do in NASCAR
- 10:18Heat 5, which is like six years old. Increase
- 10:21or decrease the tire heat of your opponents.
- 10:23The tire wear of the AI specifically for online
- 10:26races, too. Interesting. You could even do it
- 10:27for online races. Yeah, no, I think the only
- 10:29thing you can do with the AI is change their
- 10:30difficulty and change the rate that they get
- 10:32the resources at, which is out of race. Interesting.
- 10:35Okay. Yeah. So, yeah, I mean, like, I'm not the
- 10:37only one. That would be annoying. Like, our current...
- 10:40Our current F1 esports champion said the exact
- 10:42same thing. It's just a problem right now with
- 10:45the game. Mike and I, in our co -op career, we've
- 10:48completely said, if we get another wet race,
- 10:52we're just going to simulate and move on. Dang,
- 10:54that bad, huh? You guys play a lot, so I feel
- 10:57like you'd want the challenge, but if it's literally
- 11:00impossible, like you said, then what's the point?
- 11:02Yeah, exactly, and we tried playing this weekend,
- 11:04and the last patch actually broke the game for
- 11:07us, so we're not even playing F1 25 right now.
- 11:09We actually did some online races with other
- 11:12people. I got griefed once. It was actually for
- 11:15the most part okay, but I got one race where
- 11:17someone just sent it into the back of my car.
- 11:21So about us racing. You might see that. I'm going
- 11:25to try not to. Yeah, but you won't do it. This
- 11:27guy was definitely doing it on purpose. Oh, on
- 11:29purpose? Oh, I would never play F1 to crash on
- 11:32purpose. If I'm doing that, I'm going to NASCAR.
- 11:33He was 100 % doing it on purpose. Which, by the
- 11:35way, not to plug it, there's a new NASCAR game
- 11:37coming out this fall, and it's going to be awesome.
- 11:38Yeah? I saw just minor game plan. It looked really
- 11:41awesome, so I can't wait. I remember, I feel
- 11:43like Heat didn't get very good reviews, did it?
- 11:45Heat 5 was decent because everybody went back
- 11:48to Heat 5 after Ignition 21 or whatever. just
- 11:52sucked sucked it was garbage so everybody started
- 11:55playing heat five and that's why you can still
- 11:56play online this many years later which is crazy
- 11:59because usually that gets shut down you know
- 12:00so he five is a few years old then oh yeah oh
- 12:04yeah he five is sorry f1 fans i know you don't
- 12:06yeah i was about to say we're talking about our
- 12:08game right now uh yeah i just feel like 2020
- 12:122020. I feel like I was looking at a NASCAR heat
- 12:15game and it had bad mixed reviews on Steam or
- 12:17something. I just won't touch it. No NASCAR game
- 12:20has been good since NASCAR 14. NASCAR 08 was
- 12:24good. 2003. What is it? Something to Daytona.
- 12:30Road to Daytona? No, I didn't get it. Why am
- 12:32I forgetting that? Anyway, whatever. Let's get
- 12:34back on F1. Holy crap. If you want an NASCAR
- 12:36pod, let me know. I'd probably run one. Yeah,
- 12:38TLDR, game's bad. Anyway. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Anyway,
- 12:41good thing. We got through McLaren so far. Awesome.
- 12:44Let's do it. So we got to roll. Ferrari. Ferrari.
- 12:48Actually looked great. Yeah. Yeah, Hamilton struggled
- 12:51with quality, obviously. I still don't understand
- 12:53what was going on there. But what a GP. And I
- 12:57think he got driver of the day. He did? Yeah.
- 12:59By a good amount, too. I mean, starting back
- 13:01there, in the wet, too, and battling all the
- 13:03way. I mean, for Europe words, what a mega drive.
- 13:08You know what I mean? Europe words. Unbelievable.
- 13:11Good thing I'm good on the fly. But, yeah, no,
- 13:14seriously, mega drive from Hamilton. Great day.
- 13:19Still has that skill, for sure. It was just fun
- 13:22to see. Good drive. It's sad we don't get more
- 13:25of that. I feel like we lack it a lot, but maybe...
- 13:28Was there... Did they have an upgrade last race,
- 13:31or was it this race that they had their upgrade?
- 13:32So, funny enough, I think it was... I thought
- 13:34it was last race, but funny enough, I just saw
- 13:37a meme about their upgrades. They're called the
- 13:40007 crew now. Oh, yeah? Charles and Hamilton.
- 13:46The zero is like zero wins. The other zero, I
- 13:50can't remember what the other zero was. Gosh,
- 13:52this one is going to be good. And then the seven
- 13:54was seven upgrades that have done nothing. I
- 13:57was like, oh, my God. That's so rough, bro. But
- 14:02Leclerc is on the podium. Yeah, I mean, yeah,
- 14:04was he? Because Verstappen was. Leclerc started
- 14:07third. Verstappen's still struggling with that
- 14:09car, man. Leclerc kept him behind. Verstappen
- 14:12finished only like a second and a half behind,
- 14:15I think, if I remember right. You are correct.
- 14:17It was literally a second and a half. Sweet.
- 14:19But yeah, no, Verstappen... And Leclerc 20 seconds
- 14:23behind Norris. Yeah, no, I mean, literally a
- 14:27league of their own, the McLarens, unfortunately.
- 14:30Would it have been better if it was a standing
- 14:32start? Because they really pulled off immediately.
- 14:36And then DRS didn't kick on until way later.
- 14:38Like, is that a big factor to the McLarens? Let's
- 14:40talk about it. I don't think it is a big factor
- 14:42because the McLarens have been so freaking dominant
- 14:44the last few, you know what I mean? But, like,
- 14:46do you think that played? Because when did DRS
- 14:50come on? It was probably halfway to his distance
- 14:53around. So here's my thing. Great Williams hat,
- 14:57by the way. We didn't touch on that yet. Thank
- 14:58you. It's a good one. I like it. I should have
- 15:00worn my Mercedes because it was a 1 -2, but,
- 15:02like, I'm wearing blue. Oh, my gosh. I am not.
- 15:06I'm so sorry. I'm not here today. I'm just checked
- 15:08out mentally. Be here with me, Joe. Sorry, I'm
- 15:11going to fly. That's crazy. On a standing start,
- 15:16P1, not a good position to be in. Like we saw
- 15:21last year, there's a possibility Norris doesn't
- 15:24just lose one position, but he loses two or three
- 15:26just because of how chaotic it can be. So I think.
- 15:31probably the best result Norris could have gotten
- 15:33at the start of the race. Just because, I mean,
- 15:36historically his starts are better this year.
- 15:38Are better this year, but historically bad. Not
- 15:40great. Just bad. So I actually think, I think
- 15:43the start could have shaken things up a little
- 15:45bit. I think Norris probably could have fallen.
- 15:46I don't think, I think he actually would have
- 15:48still gotten ahead though. And won the race?
- 15:50Yeah, definitely. He's ahead and he's not leaving
- 15:53that spot. Unless Norris is like right there.
- 15:56He's going to fight to the death. Yeah. Like
- 15:58the only, I could see. I could see, like, maybe
- 16:00Piastri gets ahead first turn. Norris is right
- 16:03behind up of Eau Rouge. And then on that next
- 16:05straight, Norris gets ahead there. But, like,
- 16:07otherwise, I think Piastri's taking it no matter
- 16:09what. But even at the end, Norris was actually
- 16:10charging hard. Now, whether his tires would have
- 16:12held on in the last lap, I don't know. And we
- 16:15saw him go wide because he locked up again with,
- 16:18like, three laps left, maybe. He was charging
- 16:21hard. He had a couple of issues. Get that gap.
- 16:25I thought he made it like two seconds, then he
- 16:27locked up again, and then it was four seconds.
- 16:28Or went wide on a turn. Yeah, they were talking
- 16:31about it a lot. We were watching it. He was on
- 16:32a completely different tire strategy than Piastri.
- 16:35He went super long. I think it was a... Was he
- 16:39on just a one -stop? Or was Piastri on the one
- 16:42-stop? I can't remember. He was on a completely
- 16:44different strategy, though. I think Piastri one
- 16:46-stopped. Whether that was the original strategy,
- 16:49but I really feel like Piastri one -stopped.
- 16:52yeah i think you might be right either way I
- 16:55think Lando's tires were technically newer, though,
- 16:57than Piastri's. And, yeah, he just kept on locking
- 17:01up. He kept pushing them way too hard. I just
- 17:03don't understand what's up with that. Yeah, his
- 17:05engineer was like, listen, you are faster than
- 17:07him without having to do all this pushing. All
- 17:10this extra stuff. Just drive naturally. Yeah,
- 17:14he just couldn't make it done, which is fine.
- 17:15It's still a McLaren 1 .2. I mean, obviously,
- 17:19my predictions wanted it this way. He was just
- 17:21antsy. Yeah, probably. Sorry, we keep regressing
- 17:24back to McLaren. Ferrari fans. We mentioned literally
- 17:26nothing about Ferrari and unfortunately we got
- 17:28to move on. So we talked about McLaren instead.
- 17:31Sorry. Yeah. Red Bull. Max Verstappen P4. Sonata.
- 17:36Better weekend. I think I agree with Mike. I
- 17:44think Sonata starts in the car in 2026. I don't
- 17:47think there's any reason not to. Hopefully the
- 17:492026 car is more geared towards. just drivers
- 17:56in general not Max Verstappen you know and since
- 17:59they got to start over hopefully that happens
- 18:01and I'm actually really curious we've never really
- 18:04talked enough about Red Bull on the show because
- 18:06they're so good and we hate them well we don't
- 18:09hate them Red Bull fans stay here because I think
- 18:12there's gonna be a lot to talk about with Red
- 18:14Bull going forward um obviously news came out
- 18:17this weekend Max Verstappen's going nowhere we'll
- 18:18touch on it but with that I think you do start
- 18:22Yuki in there, and then now, like I said, new
- 18:24regs, new car. Maybe a fresh start for them,
- 18:29and maybe they can actually take some of Yuki's
- 18:31suggestions. Not that they're not. We don't know
- 18:33that. But I think Red Bull as a whole is going
- 18:37to be really interesting to just watch in the
- 18:39next literally 12 months. From now until next
- 18:42summer break, real curious to see where they're
- 18:45at. Yep, me too. I think it's smart that they
- 18:49keep him. I think with Laurent Mekis on the team,
- 18:52I think there's even more of a chance that they
- 18:54do keep him. I know this is Mike's point. I can't
- 18:57remember if he said this last week, but if he
- 18:59didn't, he made a good point to me at least that
- 19:01Laurent Mekis has always been a champion of Sonota.
- 19:05He did say that. I think there's a really good
- 19:09chance that he keeps him on and they should.
- 19:10I think he's a good driver. They just have a
- 19:12bad car right now. Maybe they make a car that
- 19:15both of them can drive. I'm curious to see if
- 19:18it nerfs Max a little bit because he might have
- 19:22to change his driving style a little. Maybe.
- 19:23Who knows? I think it's just a new chapter for
- 19:26Max. Sure. You know, I think he still can. Well,
- 19:30actually, I don't even know if I want to say
- 19:31he could still win a WDC because only because
- 19:33we have no idea. Who else is going to have a
- 19:36decent car? We can assume Red Bull, McLaren,
- 19:39Ferrari, Mercedes are probably going to have
- 19:41a somewhat decent car. Maybe Aston. We don't
- 19:43know. Somewhat decent car to start the season.
- 19:46We can't. We literally have no idea. Yeah, we
- 19:49can't count Aston. And I can't count out Max
- 19:52Verstappen. No, definitely not. You cannot. But
- 19:54I think he's going to have to. change the way
- 19:57he drives and the car is way smaller right i
- 19:59could unfortunately kind of count out mclaren
- 20:01just because they have two really good drivers
- 20:04but obviously they need a car to drive and they're
- 20:08going to win constructors which means that they're
- 20:09going to get less air wind tunnel time than everyone
- 20:12else with new specs so they're already already
- 20:15going to be on the back foot unfortunately yeah
- 20:16i didn't even think about that they could still
- 20:18could build a rocket ship and it won't matter
- 20:20uh we've seen red bull do it i think zach brown
- 20:22wants to punch you in the face right now why
- 20:25you're wrong I want to be wrong. I'd love to
- 20:28be wrong. I want to get punched. Come punch me
- 20:30in the face. We keep going back to McLaren. Who
- 20:32are we talking about? Mercedes? No, Red Bull.
- 20:34No, Red Bull. We haven't even reached Mercedes.
- 20:36Yeah, Red Bull. I think you cannot count Max
- 20:38out, right? So, I mean, next year he's going
- 20:40to be at least trying to fight for wins. 100%.
- 20:44Who doesn't want to win another WC? In fact,
- 20:46I'll even go as far as to say he's the only person
- 20:47I can count on that will have a win next year.
- 20:50The only person. For sure, locked in one win.
- 20:52For sure, locked in. Max will at least get one
- 20:54win next year. Fair enough. There's no way he
- 20:55doesn't. Fair enough. Fair enough. What about
- 20:58a guy like George Russell? George Russell, he's
- 21:02Mr. Consistent. He kind of just sneaks his way
- 21:04into podiums. I know. And he finished P5. Has
- 21:07he gotten a win this year yet? Yeah, yeah. He
- 21:09has gotten a win? Where was that? Yeah, he's
- 21:13got one, though. I think it's only one. Canada.
- 21:17Was it Canada? It was Canada. Okay. Yes. Yeah,
- 21:21I mean, you can't count him out. He might sneak
- 21:23in for a win next year. There's a chance he doesn't
- 21:25get any more wins this year. I don't know. Mercedes
- 21:27is just so up and down. It's just so weird. And
- 21:29the way Antonelli raced is partially Antonelli,
- 21:31too. I feel like, yeah, that was weird. He had
- 21:33a bad weekend. It was a really bad weekend for
- 21:35him. And, like, I was thinking about an earlier
- 21:39show. I can't remember which week it was. Probably
- 21:41after one where Antonelli got points. And I was
- 21:43like, you know, I wake up on Sunday curious.
- 21:47What Antonelli's going to do today, you know?
- 21:49And I can't do that anymore. Like, that's...
- 21:52What an idiot. Stupid. Because he looked like
- 21:56crap, dude. Like, seriously. I mean, just bad
- 21:59decisions all over the place, driving off the
- 22:01track, blowing through corners. It was just a
- 22:04bad weekend. So hopefully he can reset and get
- 22:06after it. I don't know if it was because it was
- 22:08wet. I think it's a mixture of, you know, Mercedes
- 22:12also just not being an elite car right now. but
- 22:18what did i put there oh so mercedes is actually
- 22:22this probably already happened by the time today
- 22:25i'm not sure but mercedes is holding like a whole
- 22:27do i dare say like company meeting you know with
- 22:31the drivers and all the mechanics and they're
- 22:33gonna try to figure this thing out figure out
- 22:35why performance since the win has been so poor
- 22:39like they got the win and then it's just been
- 22:42going downhill so and all in all hands team meeting
- 22:45all hands team meeting yeah for sure so we'll
- 22:48see what happens uh at the hungaro ring right
- 22:52yep you got it okay um i was like is it raw or
- 22:54raw oh well um so we'll see you know but yeah
- 22:58anthony not good he's he needs a rebound uh he
- 23:02was kind of up there for rookie of the year for
- 23:06me really uh i mean Yeah, yeah. He was playing
- 23:14nice. And then, you know, Hajar's had a good
- 23:17year. He finished P20 in a lap down this race.
- 23:20You know, Bierman's kind of been there, but kind
- 23:24of not. So now I don't know. Bortoletto just
- 23:27had a great weekend. He did. We'll talk about
- 23:29him in a second. So I don't know anymore. You
- 23:31know what I mean? But you've got to look for
- 23:33Rookie of the Year. You'd have to look at...
- 23:35the whole body of work. Not just how they end,
- 23:38but I'd be concerned if they end poorly. You
- 23:40definitely can't discount Kimi. He's in a better
- 23:44car than all of them. That's another thing to
- 23:48look at when you're looking at quote -unquote
- 23:49rookie there. Do they even do that? No. Actually,
- 23:53they might do that. They should. This year, there's
- 23:56six of them. That's true. There's not always
- 24:00new rookies. Last year, we didn't have a rookie,
- 24:01right? Or did we have one? I don't think so,
- 24:04because Joe was the year before. They do have
- 24:08a Rookie of the Year award. Yeah, they do have
- 24:10an FIA award ceremony during the winter break.
- 24:16Sure. So they do give out a Rookie of the Year.
- 24:17I believe Piastri got Rookie of the Year, I think.
- 24:21Okay, fair enough. That would make sense. Best
- 24:25performing, and it includes F1 and F2. So Gabby
- 24:28already won Rookie of the Year once. Okay, now
- 24:31I don't like it. So now we're going to come up
- 24:33with our own Rookie of the Year here on Banter
- 24:35with the Boys, and we got to figure that out.
- 24:37Yeah, Oscar, Charles, and Alex have all won Rookie
- 24:40of the Year. And they're all still currently
- 24:44in F1. And then... Gabby won last year for Formula
- 24:492. He might have won. I don't know if they combine
- 24:51them both together and just pick one rookie out
- 24:53of both. That seems a little weird. That's what
- 24:54I mean. If they combine them, that's what would
- 24:56bug me. You know what I mean? I don't know. Rookie
- 25:03watch this year is good, though. Oh, for sure.
- 25:06That's why I keep telling Kev I can't wait to
- 25:07rip cards when they drop in November. Topps Chrome.
- 25:12F120. I think they'll call it 25, I hope. Yeah,
- 25:14I think so. I don't know. I don't know. But I
- 25:16think it drops in November, of course, and the
- 25:18season's pretty much over. So it's like, but
- 25:20we'll have fun. Anyway. Yeah. Yeah. A couple
- 25:25of hobby boxes, you know, got to foot the bill.
- 25:28Yep. Yeah. You heard it. Anyway, Mercedes. We
- 25:31already talked about them. We just finished.
- 25:34Williams. Williams. How about in six? Albon.
- 25:37Albon, according to the commentators. Albon.
- 25:39Albon. either way right somebody tell us how
- 25:42to say his name alexander yeah he only lost position
- 25:47to one person that was russell that's it so and
- 25:51he was at that time his tires were pretty much
- 25:53dead i'm pretty sure when that happened if i
- 25:54remember right i think so and he was he said
- 25:56he was struggling and then george yeah i believe
- 25:58i believe russell was fighting albon for a while
- 26:00yeah i remember correct and i think he probably
- 26:03wore out his tires fighting him but great yeah
- 26:07great race for albon Way to get some points.
- 26:11Signs, not so much. But Signs kind of struggled
- 26:13all day, actually. But I feel like he was battling
- 26:16early, like mid -pack, and then something just
- 26:19didn't go right. Did he have a bad pit? I don't
- 26:22know if he had a bad pit. I definitely think
- 26:24he had some issues in the back of the field,
- 26:26though, with other drivers. Okay, okay. I just
- 26:28know I don't remember seeing him top 10 almost
- 26:33ever in this race. I don't know. Where are Williams
- 26:40in the constructors right now? I have it up right
- 26:43here. Do you? Okay. That should be a good thing
- 26:45I should have up. Williams. I'm an idiot. I just
- 26:48Googled constructors, and obviously it's not
- 26:50giving me what I was looking for. They're fifth
- 26:52by a good margin. They're fifth by 27 points.
- 26:57Two and. Kick. Kick. Oh, yeah. That's right.
- 27:00Kick. And kick just got some more points. So
- 27:03awesome. Kick is two points ahead of racing bulls
- 27:05at the moment. Okay. Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 27:07Okay, so that's going to be a good race. With
- 27:10Liam finishing eighth, Bortoletto ninth. Mm -hmm.
- 27:12Yeah, yeah. Okay, so, yeah, Williams pretty much
- 27:15has fifth, I want to say, locked up, but signs
- 27:19can't be finished in P18. No, definitely not.
- 27:21You know, if it's going to be locked up when
- 27:24you got Hulkenberg in 12th, Bortoletto in ninth,
- 27:26Hulkenberg's two spots away from points. They
- 27:26both need to be getting low points. So, yeah.
- 27:30All right. I mean, you're... partial williams
- 27:34fan i do like williams yeah um no not really
- 27:37i didn't really i guess there wasn't a lot to
- 27:39really pay attention to i mean the races in general
- 27:42just kind of kind of happened yep you know it
- 27:44didn't really nothing too wild no other than
- 27:47an hour and a half delay really yeah pretty much
- 27:49um racing bulls liam p8 don't know what that
- 27:54happens i mean i think he had he had good quality
- 27:57too no starting yeah he started yeah he started
- 27:59ninth so plus one Yeah, who dropped out of the
- 28:05top 10? Hajar. That's correct. Hajar had a bad
- 28:10day. What happened to Hajar? I can't remember.
- 28:13I'm going to be honest with you. I cannot recall
- 28:16what happened to Hajar. I feel like he pit a
- 28:17lot. I feel like he went to the pits a lot. Do
- 28:22they give you a thing? I think they might. Hold
- 28:24on. Oh, yeah. No, he only pit twice. Really?
- 28:27But all, actually everyone. That finished P16
- 28:32or worse, pit twice, and so did Hulkenberg, who
- 28:35was able to finish P12. Everybody else was on
- 28:38a one stop. That's wild. I felt like there was
- 28:41way more stops than that in general. Hmm. Interesting.
- 28:47Both of the pits were normal. I don't know what
- 28:50happened. Did you just fall behind? I wonder
- 28:53if they have, they might have. I know there is,
- 28:55I remember. Nothing would have happened there
- 28:58because I think Hamilton was passing Liam. That
- 29:00would make sense. When Hamilton almost freaking
- 29:03touched Liam's back wheel. That was crazy. Do
- 29:07you recall that at all? I thought he was about
- 29:12to touch his back wheel and give him a puncture
- 29:15or something late in the race. I was like, oh,
- 29:17my God. Oh, my God. Poor Liam. Typical. Anyway,
- 29:23sorry, Liam. Time of the day, I don't know what
- 29:25time of the day means. Like, I don't know what
- 29:30that means. I mean, I'll give you the time of
- 29:32the day. It's 8 .19. No, no, no. His average,
- 29:36so I can see fastest lap. Which was Kimi, of
- 29:40all people, I'm pretty sure. It was Kimi, yes.
- 29:45After we just slaughtered him. And he had a 144
- 29:48.8. Hadjar was last with a 147 .6. He was two
- 29:54seconds off the pace. Wow. And he was also slowest
- 29:58at an average speed of 211. Maybe he had an issue?
- 30:02That's what I'm wondering. Because if not, that's
- 30:05big concerns. Let's see. Super painful issue
- 30:11that marred a Belgian GP. Just real quick, sorry.
- 30:19It was a car issue. Car issue, okay. Joe and
- 30:23I did not have a ton of time to figure this all
- 30:26out, so that's why we're going on the fly. It's
- 30:27all good. Oh, and he also, he did, excuse me,
- 30:31he did, he was on, like, new mediums, and he
- 30:34had to pit again for hards to, I think, like,
- 30:37help an issue or... do something with an issue
- 30:40so he did pit so he did he did pit out of place
- 30:43and that ruined his yeah sure fair enough um
- 30:47again most of the people that pit twice at the
- 30:49bottom of the grid so makes sense um when most
- 30:53people are running a one -stop strategy yep uh
- 30:56let's see what do we got what do we got kicks
- 30:58albert bordelletto battling into p9 hulkenberg
- 31:01finishing p12 there was a time in the race where
- 31:04bordelletto asked To pass Hulkenberg, they gave
- 31:07him that opportunity and he seized it. Got himself
- 31:11into points. That's a good look for Gabriel.
- 31:14I don't think I'll ever see a moment where Hulkenberg
- 31:16won't secede his position. I think he's a team
- 31:20player. He's a team guy. And Bortolotto was on
- 31:23him. He was. It was good that he let him pass.
- 31:28Let's see if he can carry this momentum to Hungary.
- 31:32Into the summer break, I would really like to
- 31:34see that from Bortoletto specifically. Kick in
- 31:36general, yeah, for sure. Hulkenberg, who doesn't
- 31:38like him, right? But from Bortoletto specifically,
- 31:41yeah, I'm real curious how he'll end the season.
- 31:46Because he's been, I mean, battling the car,
- 31:48battling the car. Then we see Hulkenberg start
- 31:50doing well. Now Bortoletto, because Bortoletto
- 31:52had a good weekend in general. curious i mean
- 31:56is that car just turning around do they have
- 31:59any more upgrades to come or is this this is
- 32:01what we're going to get from kick now at this
- 32:03point or should we be more excited all right
- 32:05i'm curious to see what they bring out of out
- 32:07of summer um anything on kick for you uh i just
- 32:12had it's still weird seeing the green cars like
- 32:15in the middle of the pack yeah honestly very
- 32:17odd yeah i mean they were doing so badly and
- 32:20now they're doing pretty good um My second note
- 32:23that I got from Mike was good job, Gabby. Good
- 32:26job, Gabby. Happy to see Gabby doing so well.
- 32:28All right. Let's see. I guess it would be Alpine.
- 32:35Gasly fighting to get into points, I would say,
- 32:38with battling again a car that's just not great.
- 32:42The only note I have is that I personally am
- 32:45looking for Alpine to make a change in the second
- 32:47seat coming out of summer at this point. Who
- 32:50do you think should go in? I don't know. The
- 32:52season's a bust, so I would say... It doesn't
- 32:55even matter anymore, man. It doesn't. It doesn't.
- 32:58So that's why I mean, like, I'm not sure. I'm
- 33:01not sure. I mean, do they give Duane a little,
- 33:05like, a second try, or do they give the reserve
- 33:07driver... I feel like that'd be really weird.
- 33:10getting back in there i don't hate the idea but
- 33:13i feel like that would be a weird thing and then
- 33:15so you don't think they should keep you don't
- 33:17sorry to cut you off no no you don't think they
- 33:19should keep a single driver and let them learn
- 33:21how to drive a little bit i do i do but sorry
- 33:25i didn't mean that to feel targeted at you but
- 33:27it's a valid question it is a valid question
- 33:29because it's like how is one going to learn if
- 33:32you don't just keep throwing them to the fire
- 33:33right um but it's such a short leash with doing
- 33:37Has he learned anything else on the Sims? I'd
- 33:39imagine he's still using the same Sims that they
- 33:42are still available to him. Has he learned anything
- 33:44else? You know what I mean? I mean, I'd imagine
- 33:47he's gotten worse. You think so? If he's not
- 33:49in the car. If he's not in the car, right. And
- 33:52I don't know, do reserve drivers get to run any
- 33:56laps ever? Or are they just kind of hanging out?
- 34:00Reserve drivers? I don't think so. so where are
- 34:04they getting i think it's i think it's noted
- 34:05for like junior f2 drivers sure right right right
- 34:09for the fp1 stuff i think so right right like
- 34:12reserve can get they can get in the car but that's
- 34:14if a driver is out for the weekend do most f1
- 34:17hqs i don't know if alpines does should be something
- 34:20alpine fan would know but do most hqs have a
- 34:23track available to them close by for testing
- 34:25i'd imagine yeah i would say so so why like but
- 34:28i don't think they can do it whenever they want
- 34:30i think they get a certain time see and that's
- 34:33That's interesting. Yeah, I think reserve drivers
- 34:35should be able to get laps in at the practice
- 34:38track kind of whenever. Not like, oh man, I can't
- 34:43sleep and it's midnight. I'm going to go turn
- 34:44some laps. You know what I mean? Right. or at
- 34:47least can i borrow the keys i want to take it
- 34:49for a spin and then and now i just like or at
- 34:51least have the ability to hop on a sim at midnight
- 34:53but i was like that's dumb too if you break that
- 34:55somehow so like no i mean the sims i feel like
- 34:57the sims if you break that obviously it probably
- 35:01is expensive but i think there's more of i'm
- 35:03sure they also have like sim time there's way
- 35:05more flexibility with a sim yeah i'm sure they
- 35:08still have to set time for it but like but i
- 35:10would hope that there's time set aside or at
- 35:13least available to the reserve drivers to be
- 35:15doing that you know what i mean oh yeah i mean
- 35:17they gotta be doing it they gotta stay sharp
- 35:18too you know and i'm sure like even even toto
- 35:21like he's probably being asked by other people's
- 35:24like hey what are botas sometimes looking like
- 35:26i was just about to say i wonder if alpine like
- 35:31is like hey cadillac let's get one of your drivers
- 35:36in the seat for the end of the season we'll just
- 35:39it's fine just pay us some money or something
- 35:41like warm botas up botas gets in the car it's
- 35:45like a bullpen calling that can we get botas
- 35:47warming up yeah you see a mustache into the field
- 35:50running with a how high of a possibility is that
- 35:53probably pretty low i don't but it'd be crazy
- 35:57to see botas in an alpine um but i'm here for
- 36:01it you know will we see botas in alpine first
- 36:03or christian horner in an alpine shirt first
- 36:05oh that is such a good question all right anyway
- 36:09um man that's such a good question because they
- 36:13are looking at botas to fill that that seat and
- 36:16just see how he does see if they're if they're
- 36:18just like you know in general screw these rookies
- 36:21let's get someone who knows how to drive a car
- 36:23and has driven for a long time in like just i
- 36:25would say even like they're already on their
- 36:27bs right just give them like two races crazy
- 36:30stuff has already been happening at alpine they're
- 36:34dead last in the constructors they're gonna finish
- 36:36there let them set the record for most driver
- 36:38swaps in a season I think something crazy could
- 36:42be coming for this out of summer break. And they're
- 36:45finishers, though. I don't think they're going
- 36:47to go catch Williams by any means. You still
- 36:52got constructors pulled up? How far back are
- 36:54they of second to last? They are... Probably
- 36:57like a solid 30. I hope not, because that's probably
- 37:02done. Did you say how far they are in second
- 37:05to last? Yeah, when can they catch the next position?
- 37:08How far back are they? So they're in 10th currently.
- 37:12Correct, yeah. And they are 15 points behind
- 37:14Haas. 15? They are 16 points behind Aston. Whoa,
- 37:19uh -uh. Season back on. Season back on for Alpine.
- 37:2315? Okay, let me go ahead and just bring you
- 37:25back down to Earth for a second. Just hold on.
- 37:27I want you to realize that Alpine's most points
- 37:29they're getting in a weekend is probably going
- 37:31to be like six. Yeah, okay. I said three, so,
- 37:34you know, whatever. But they finished strong.
- 37:38You never know. Hey, you never know. Alonzo and
- 37:40Stroll finished 14 and 17. Where did Gasly finish?
- 37:4310. Alpine finished really high last year. They
- 37:46finished fifth, right? They did. And they finished
- 37:48well. They woke up in the back end of the year.
- 37:50It could 100 % happen. Like, I'm expecting Alpine
- 37:54to get some energy back at the end of the year.
- 37:56I hope so. I just don't know who it's going to
- 37:58be for that second try. Yeah, I don't either.
- 38:00Okay, but, I mean, like, we're wasting time here
- 38:03a little, but that's okay. I don't know if we
- 38:05answered your question. You didn't know that's
- 38:06what we were doing to start? You said the next
- 38:12person they put in is finishing. I don't think
- 38:15I got your answer. Who's it going to be? Let's
- 38:18make a fun little prediction. Who do you think
- 38:20is going to fill that second seat? If it's not
- 38:22Colapinto, who is it? I was going to be cheeky
- 38:28and say Colapinto. You could. I don't know. I
- 38:33have a gut feeling that there's going to be a
- 38:35change. I don't think it'll be doing. I don't
- 38:39think it'll be. I don't think it'll be. Jack
- 38:40Crawford, right? Is that the next? No, that's
- 38:43that's the Red Bull driver. Jack Crawford, right?
- 38:46Oh, you're right. But. Daniel Ricardo. I don't
- 38:53know. You know, I'm just kidding. But I think
- 38:56it would be Colapinto before Botas, honestly,
- 38:58if I'm being a realist. You think it could still
- 39:00keep Colapinto? The money. You know, it's got
- 39:04to be good. Otherwise, like, dude's not figuring
- 39:06it out right now. But, again, it's like you take
- 39:08him out, when is he going to figure it out? So
- 39:10he's got all this upside. So did Jack Doohan.
- 39:14So does every other rookie on this, you know,
- 39:16on the grid. That's why they're in a seat. Everybody
- 39:20else has had a chance to stay in the seat, even
- 39:22struggling. So why is it different at Alpine?
- 39:24Yeah. Which, again, goes back to why did Jack
- 39:26Doohan have such a short lease then? short leash
- 39:28then you're totally right but again i think they
- 39:30know they knew they had franco colopinto sitting
- 39:33there and i think that's the only reason why
- 39:35if it was a veteran driver sitting and waiting
- 39:37they would not have pulled jack doing out of
- 39:40the seat i think it's because i had another young
- 39:42driver sitting there waiting what's your what's
- 39:46your prediction obviously it's about to change
- 39:48i just looked something up quick and a name popped
- 39:50up that made me smile mick schumacher No, no
- 39:55way. No way. I think he's driving for Alpine
- 39:58in a sports car right now, I think. I think you're
- 40:01right. Or at least he drove for Alpine in Le
- 40:04Mans, at least. I don't know if he's driving.
- 40:05He's not driving them consistently in a sports
- 40:07car. Did you just Google Mick? No, I said, who
- 40:10can replace Cole Pinto in F1? And the first result,
- 40:12no joke, Valtteri Bottas and Mick Schumacher
- 40:15are being considered. This was obviously Google's
- 40:18AI overview. I didn't even think about Mick,
- 40:20though. But it's been, what, how long? Two years?
- 40:24Since he's driven an F1? Yeah, I don't think
- 40:26he's coming back, unfortunately. Not like that,
- 40:28at least. It'd be wild if they brought Mick back.
- 40:31What would be his path back? What would be his
- 40:33path back? What would be his path back? Yeah,
- 40:35Mick. Probably right now. You think so? I don't
- 40:38think there's any other way, you know? You don't
- 40:39think Cadillac takes a flyer on him? Ooh, I think
- 40:42it's really unlikely Cadillac. I'm unfortunately...
- 40:45I still think it's Botas and Sergio. I feel like
- 40:47Botas is a pretty good bet. Unfortunately, I'm
- 40:50leaning towards Sergio, too. And it's BS that
- 40:52we keep getting all these bullcrap. memes and
- 40:54bull like unofficial officially unofficial signed
- 40:58stuff nah call me when he signs this one commentator
- 41:02said that uh they definitely signed these two
- 41:05when i read the article i was like he didn't
- 41:06say that at all oh my god he just said that he
- 41:09just said name he just said that all right all
- 41:12right we better talk about hoss quick because
- 41:13mike's probably gonna listen to this tonight
- 41:16um while he's sitting around could be yeah um
- 41:19beerman 11 all con 15 That's it, man. That's
- 41:24it. That's it, man. You know, Berman had a good
- 41:26run up. Berman probably the worst rookie on the
- 41:28grid. No, I'm just kidding. He's been all right.
- 41:30No, no, no. That was so rough. No, no, no. And
- 41:32again, I think with Kimmy's struggles, now I
- 41:34have no idea because it's not just this weekend
- 41:37that Kimmy struggled. He's kind of been on this
- 41:39downward trend all of a sudden. Oh, I don't think
- 41:42Kimmy's worst rookie of the year, though. It's
- 41:44Lawson, 100%. If we're considering him a rookie,
- 41:48it's 100 % loss and worst rookie of the year.
- 41:50Oh, worst rookie. No, no, no. I'm not saying
- 41:53there's a worst rookie of the year. Were you
- 41:54calling Bearman worst rookie of the year? As
- 41:56a joke. Yeah, I was definitely not. My inner
- 42:00mic was coming out. It's all good. Your inner
- 42:03hate for loss? I mean, no. Okay. My love for
- 42:06Bearman, my hate for Lawson. But I think Antonelli's,
- 42:09I don't even want to say decline. He's just kind
- 42:11of going through a rough patch right now. I'm
- 42:14still excited about Kimi. I still think I'm going
- 42:16to be a Mercedes fan next year. We'll find out.
- 42:18But with Kimi's kind of decline, I think that's
- 42:21opening more eyes to guys like Bierman and now
- 42:26maybe Bortoletto as that quote -unquote rookie
- 42:30of the year. I don't know. I don't know. We'll
- 42:33see. Bierman's head? An okay season. Where's
- 42:36he on driver standings in comparison to Liam?
- 42:41In comparison to Liam, he's below Liam. He is
- 42:45below Liam. He is by eight points. Whoa, by eight
- 42:48points. Well, Liam had that one good finish,
- 42:50what, two weeks ago? Like a week ago, I think.
- 42:53About a week ago. No, okay. Anyway. Is Lawson
- 42:56on an upswing? Maybe. Is Liam going to be in
- 43:01seat two at Red Bull? Again? Not Yuki? No. I'm
- 43:06over that. I think Yuki will be there. Anyway,
- 43:08at least to start. I think it's just Aston, right?
- 43:13We talked about everybody? God, we're just rambling
- 43:15now. Yeah, it's interesting that we usually go
- 43:20in order of the one who did the best on the team,
- 43:22and we got down to 11. And now we're at Aston
- 43:2614 and 17. So like one driver of each team did
- 43:30decent and the other driver typically did not
- 43:32do well. So it's weird to see. Yeah, that usually
- 43:35is not the case. That's true. We have a lot of
- 43:37teams in the top, a lot of different teams in
- 43:39the top 10. I think the commentator said that
- 43:41during qualifying. I was like, this is like the
- 43:42first time we're seeing five different teams
- 43:44out. I think it was like out in the qualifying
- 43:46session. All of them are like five different
- 43:49teams. Is that a good sign? I think so. Competition
- 43:54-wise? Yeah, I think so. I think it's a good
- 43:56sign. Or it's a sign that someone really messed
- 43:59up. Yeah, good point. Which, I mean, it also
- 44:02means that someone that should be up in the top
- 44:04has to fight. Hamilton should be out of Q1. Yep.
- 44:07I wish I watched more of Hamilton's race. There
- 44:10was also a meme that I saw that was funny. Sorry.
- 44:13We are truly rambling at this point. It was Toto
- 44:17getting down into Kimmy's face, looking at him
- 44:20like that in the car, saying, Kimmy, I meant
- 44:23finish P1, not out in Q1. I thought that was
- 44:26funny. Anyway, because I read it in his voice.
- 44:29I wasn't going to say it in his voice because
- 44:31I would have messed that up. Aston, anyway, sorry.
- 44:34Sorry, Mike's second favorite team. Ooh, I think
- 44:37kick passed him. Sorry. Mike's third favorite
- 44:40team. One of Mike's hats that he wears. Not good.
- 44:45Just not good. Not good. Not good. Nothing more
- 44:47to say, I don't think. Nope, nope, nope, nope,
- 44:48nope. Before we move on, calm call -outs. The
- 44:52only thing that I kind of... It's not even a
- 44:55call -out. But later in the race, when Oscar's
- 45:00engineer was kind of asking him, like, hey, we
- 45:03think it's the best strategy to stay on this
- 45:06tire and to do a one -stop and just... try to
- 45:08take this to the end, you know, blah, blah, blah.
- 45:10And Oscar's saying, you know, there's definitely,
- 45:13you know, dag already. So, you know, we'll see.
- 45:16I'm not confident it'll make it to the end. Just
- 45:19the communication that these teams are able to
- 45:21have just blows my mind. Yes, they have that
- 45:23NASCAR too, you know, whatever for you NASCAR
- 45:25freaks. But just the ability to be able to talk
- 45:29directly to an engineer. Yep, we're working on
- 45:32it. We're looking at that. You got other people
- 45:33checking things out. It's just, I don't know.
- 45:36just another example of like how cool it is and
- 45:38how key communication with your team can be in
- 45:42f1 you know what i mean and then they you know
- 45:44towards the end then they're like they updated
- 45:46them they're like we still think this is the
- 45:47right strategy and or something and he was you
- 45:50know keep keep going and he was like yeah i'm
- 45:52happy to hear that or something like that uh
- 45:54i actually i'd love that point i'm glad you said
- 45:57it i have two two kind of like things to branch
- 46:00off with one uh i think it was at that where
- 46:03the engineers were asking how oscar felt about
- 46:06the tires one of the commentators said i don't
- 46:08know why he's asking that they have all the data
- 46:09in front of them that shows them like this is
- 46:11the tire to be on and this is good and i'm like
- 46:13oh what data will never tell you yeah you have
- 46:16the data that says that the tire should be good
- 46:18but if the driver says it's not good then like
- 46:21you should trust your driver it's like there's
- 46:23no way you can't have a two you can't like you
- 46:25need that two -way communication yes i was like
- 46:27that's crazy that you just said that crazy i
- 46:30feel like i could be wrong feeling the car real
- 46:33time yeah they have the data real time it might
- 46:35have been nico roseberger said that and i was
- 46:37like that's crazy that you just said that a former
- 46:39champion it's insane um my second point to branch
- 46:43off of i recently saw a video i hope it wasn't
- 46:45nico that is insane that's a great point yeah
- 46:46former champions yeah it's crazy um and this
- 46:49is around so this is around the time that nico
- 46:51was driving i think but uh There was a time,
- 46:54this was I think right around radios got really
- 46:55good. There was a time that engineers couldn't
- 46:58help out the drivers like that. I saw a clip.
- 47:03No, this was way more recent than that. Way more
- 47:06recent. I think in the mid -2000s. Oh, in the
- 47:092010s even? I think so. Hamilton was asking,
- 47:14he's like, hey, this thing's happening. What
- 47:16can I do? And they were giving him very basic
- 47:18information about the race. He's like, okay,
- 47:21but I'm still having this issue. What can I do?
- 47:22and the engineer literally said bono literally
- 47:24said he's like i unfortunately can't tell you
- 47:27I can't help you. So there was rules and regulations?
- 47:29Yes. It lasted like a year, I think, because
- 47:32everyone realized how stupid it was. Why did
- 47:35they do that? I don't know. I didn't even know
- 47:36that. I'm going to have to look that up now.
- 47:37I'm pretty sure it was just like the driver should
- 47:39be able to drive their own race. For sure. The
- 47:42engineer should be there to just maybe give them
- 47:45info of stuff around them, but they shouldn't
- 47:47be able to help them with the race or tell them
- 47:49how to fix things. Hamilton was like, I'm having
- 47:51this issue. What setting do I do? And they were
- 47:54just like, and he would be like, I'm just. gonna
- 47:56press every single button i have here to fix
- 47:58this issue and and he and bono the only thing
- 48:00bono could say was we don't recommend that we
- 48:02don't recommend that he was like what do i do
- 48:04that what do i do he's like i can't i can't give
- 48:06you that information lewis you know i can't yeah
- 48:08so there was a time i'm hopping when they would
- 48:10not be isn't that insane that's crazy that's
- 48:12crazy i think i'd only lasted a year everyone
- 48:15realized how stupid it was and then that's so
- 48:17dumb yeah yeah that's so dumb wow okay crazy
- 48:20that's crazy yeah i didn't realize that until
- 48:22i think i saw a tiktok this weekend and i was
- 48:24like that's insane Quick thoughts? I don't really
- 48:28have one. Other than heal up, Mike, and we'll
- 48:31see you next week. I want to make this a quick
- 48:36thought. We don't do anything quick here. Do
- 48:41you think we were a bit too safe this weekend
- 48:44with the big delay and then the rolling start?
- 48:48Spa has created, I think, the most deaths, I
- 48:51think, unfortunately. that part, right? Yeah.
- 48:54Rouge or whatever. Rouge. Yeah. At the very top.
- 48:57Yeah. I just got in some of those videos are
- 49:00just so crazy how fast that that can change at
- 49:05the top of that hill. It's simply it's simply
- 49:07like you're going so fast up the hill and then
- 49:09the runoff is just it's there's just not enough
- 49:11of it. So if I'm a fan, which I am. I'm Tyler.
- 49:15Fan. Hi, Tyler. Actually, I'm Smelty on the pod.
- 49:18Oh, my God. I just gave away my name. Yeah, you
- 49:22got to bleep it. I'm bleep. Anyway, what was
- 49:27I going with that? Oh, as a fan, as a fan, they
- 49:30were too safe. If I was FIA, they did exactly
- 49:35what they were supposed to do to keep the drivers
- 49:37safe. Drivers went out during their exploration
- 49:43laps behind the safety car. We could hear even
- 49:45PSG was like, yeah, it's really wet in these
- 49:47places. It's still shining water. I wish they
- 49:51probably would have ended maybe a little or they
- 49:53started a little bit earlier. If they got the
- 49:56cars on track a little earlier, they could have
- 49:58cleared that water, I think, the same. I think
- 50:00they were maybe a tiny bit too cautious on the
- 50:02delay, but probably fair in the rolling start,
- 50:06I think. We're going to lose fans right here.
- 50:10So NASCAR gets, you know, pickup trucks, big
- 50:15old blowers fans out there. Oh, okay. I feel
- 50:19like I never see that for F1 race. You definitely
- 50:21don't see it. I mean, because it takes forever.
- 50:23They're not just going to, like Sky Sports is
- 50:25just going to be like, wow, look at that tractor.
- 50:27Here we go. We're seeing the tractor hit the
- 50:29corner right here at two miles an hour. There
- 50:31was not a lot going on. So we definitely got
- 50:32visual of the tractor blowing water. Yep. We
- 50:35definitely saw that. I must have missed that
- 50:36somehow. God. All right. Well. Mute point. I
- 50:40don't think it's as good as the NASCAR ones.
- 50:42First of all, the track is long. Oh, for sure.
- 50:45It would take forever. No, you'd have to have
- 50:47them stationed at different points on the outside
- 50:49of the track, which we all know that some tracks
- 50:51just don't have that option. When there's an
- 50:54accident, I'm trying to think of... It's not
- 50:57Monaco. Is it Monaco? I can't remember. When
- 51:01there's an accident, it just takes so long to
- 51:03clear it because they don't have cranes sitting.
- 51:05In Monaco, if there's an accident, they're almost
- 51:07100 % craning it off of the track because they
- 51:10can't just pull it off. I don't think it is Monaco,
- 51:15but there's another one where they don't have
- 51:17all that available. It just takes forever to
- 51:19get the car off the track. You wouldn't have
- 51:22a tractor with a dryer ready yet. Jetta, maybe.
- 51:24I think it takes a little bit of time. Okay.
- 51:26Either way. Sorry. Rambling. Kev, we're going
- 51:30to head to just our quick little section of news,
- 51:32and then we'll move right into our Hungaroring
- 51:34preview. Really, the only... quote -unquote news
- 51:47that i have right now is that uh helmet i'm sorry
- 51:50helmet came out and said that uh that's just
- 51:53my pet nickname for him um pet nickname yep we're
- 51:56gonna stick with it uh that because for stappen
- 52:00i think it was even the sprint race that did
- 52:03it before the gp even started um but that for
- 52:07stappen is to stay at red bull because he will
- 52:10not be fourth or lower in the WDC after Hungary
- 52:13or heading into the summer break, which was one
- 52:16of the exit clause stipulations in Max's Red
- 52:18Bull deal, which is good through 2028. Interesting.
- 52:23Yeah. I'm not sure if the sprint win fully did
- 52:27it. I know it was a factor. I think it could
- 52:30have, though. I can't remember. So Max is staying
- 52:34at Red Bull for 2026, according to Helmut. Oh,
- 52:39well. My quick take on it, I think it's just
- 52:42cope for why he's not going anywhere. People
- 52:45are like, he's definitely going, and it's like,
- 52:46oh, no, he can't because of the clauses. Like,
- 52:48no, he was never going. I'm still standing behind
- 52:51the fact he was never going anywhere. No, dude,
- 52:53no. There's no way. Does he retire at Red Bull?
- 52:55I personally think he will retire at Red Bull,
- 52:58yes. I mean, right now, arguably. Interesting.
- 53:02Is he the greatest Red Bull driver to this point?
- 53:05Do you put him above? A young, dominant Sebastian
- 53:09Vettel? I think so. Yeah, I think so, too. I
- 53:12think so. Barely. I wasn't around to watch Vettel,
- 53:15though. I know. Well, I watched him at Ferrari.
- 53:18Yes. I watched him when he was not doing very
- 53:20well. Right, right. Yeah, the only other thing
- 53:25I wanted that's not even news, I guess this would
- 53:26have been a quick thought. Shoot. Anyway. Oh,
- 53:30no, we already talked about it. The two Cadillac
- 53:32drivers, who we think they might be. I definitely
- 53:35think Botas will probably win. And there's a
- 53:37lot of rumors out there that it's Botas and Sergio.
- 53:39There's a lot of rumors about it. And I think
- 53:43they're probably correct. Probably. And then
- 53:46do you think they just pick a rookie as a reserve?
- 53:48Be like, hey, you want to be a reserve? Yeah,
- 53:51why not? Cool. Well, we figured that out. Let's
- 53:55go right into our Hungaro ring preview. All right,
- 54:10I'm here to bring you up to speed for the Formula
- 54:11One Lenovo Hungarian Grand Prix 2025. Per usual,
- 54:16usually I give a fun fact. I think this time
- 54:18around I'm just going to give you weather updates
- 54:20for the weekend coming up. The chance of rain
- 54:23for the race is sitting at about 60%. We are
- 54:25going to get rain the night before the race,
- 54:27and then during the hours of the race I think
- 54:29we're sitting at around 30%. So there's a chance
- 54:31we might see a little bit of wet race, a chance
- 54:34we might not. Interesting. Kind of see when we
- 54:36get there. What did you say, the temperature?
- 54:38I did not say the temperature. No, I should have,
- 54:40though. I will do that next time. I got you.
- 54:42Yeah. If you want to do that really quick, and
- 54:45then we'll jump into the recap of last year.
- 54:49The recap. The recap. Yeah, that's what you said,
- 54:53right? Hungaro ring. That's all they talk there.
- 54:57Yeah. Totally. Let me see here. Let me see here.
- 55:01Standby. AccuWeather is just being slow. That's
- 55:03just the first one I clicked on. So if I'm wrong,
- 55:05sorry. So don't base it on this. 76 degrees.
- 55:09Is this Fahrenheit or what? I'm assuming it is.
- 55:11It's probably Fahrenheit. It's probably Fahrenheit.
- 55:12I think if it was Celsius, it would be the sun.
- 55:13It would be a lot lower. Yeah, right. Good point.
- 55:17Right. All right. Let's jump into last year's
- 55:20race. Lights out in the McLaren's led Verstappen
- 55:23to the first turn, where we go three wide through
- 55:25the corner. Piastri in the middle of the other
- 55:28two taking the lead of the race. Max having to
- 55:30go super wide off the track and rejoining ahead
- 55:33of both Lando and Hamilton, who had found some
- 55:35space to overtake Lando after the first. corner
- 55:37piastri starts pulling away after the next few
- 55:40corners meanwhile lando fights for the third
- 55:42position back and jumps on the radio to claiming
- 55:44that max needs to give the position back max
- 55:47jumps on his radio to state that he was ahead
- 55:49of the apex and the position is his max keeps
- 55:51it for the time being lap four the move between
- 55:54max and lando is finally under investigation
- 55:56gp suggests that max give the position back after
- 55:59vocalizing his displeasure on the radio he does
- 56:02slow down right after one naturally and give
- 56:05second position back to the mclaren of Lando
- 56:07the current order on lap four is Piaggia Lando
- 56:09to Max this will be important later lap 35 half
- 56:13race distance pit stop strategy has put Hamilton
- 56:15in third from an undercut and overall better
- 56:18pit than Max who is right behind him at the start
- 56:20of this lap he gets close but defends Max at
- 56:23the start of t1 Hamilton locks up before getting
- 56:25through the turn and Max gets the advantage and
- 56:27starts getting alongside down the hill with a
- 56:29better entrance into the turn and the help of
- 56:31DRS Max sweeps on the outside and gets ahead
- 56:34of Hamilton taking back third position however
- 56:37his move keeps him too wide when with too much
- 56:39speed he runs off track having to slow it down
- 56:42and get back before hitting the grass giving
- 56:43Hamilton P3 back 41 both Hamilton and Leclerc
- 56:47take their second pit from the undercut on Max
- 56:49who once again vocalizes his pleasure with the
- 56:52strategy similarly lap 37 Lando pits before Piastri
- 56:55to cover Hamilton next lap Piastri's in the pits
- 56:58his teammate passing him on track inadvertently
- 57:00undercutting Piastri before Verstappen pits for
- 57:04his last lap the order is now Verstappen to Norris
- 57:06to Piastri to Hamilton same lap Lando gets a
- 57:09team order to swap positions back at his convenience
- 57:11no reply to that order right away as Oscar has
- 57:14a moment in the final corners touching gravel
- 57:16and spewing it on track 50, Max makes his final
- 57:20pit stop. Four laps later, GP makes a comment
- 57:22about how Max has introduced the new tires to
- 57:24the track. Just makes a little snide comment
- 57:27about, oh, so that's how you introduce it, right?
- 57:30Max verbally abuses him on the Red Bull strategy
- 57:33and how they have ruined his race. Lap 55, Lando's
- 57:38engineer asks him to start saving tires so they
- 57:40can let Oscar through, who is just under four
- 57:42seconds behind. Lando replies with how they shouldn't
- 57:44have boxed him differently if they wanted positions
- 57:47swapped. He is met back with a doesn't matter,
- 57:50and Lando retorts with, I mean, it does. Two
- 57:53laps later, and Max takes foreposition from Leclerc,
- 57:56cutting back to Leclerc's Lando's engineer, gives
- 58:00him info on his tires, where he needs to save,
- 58:02where Piastri is, and that I know you will do
- 58:05the right thing. Lap 63, we get some carnage
- 58:09as Max with DRS runs up the starting straight
- 58:12towards Hamilton, puts it on the inside, and
- 58:14has a massive lockup, running his back wheel
- 58:16into Hamilton's front right. Max's rear end gets
- 58:19sent into the air, and he slams back down to
- 58:22the ground, rejoining the track behind the clear
- 58:24in fifth. Max is on the radio stating how Hamilton
- 58:26turned into him, and GP responds snarkily, I'm
- 58:29not even going to get into a radio fight with
- 58:31the other teams, Max. We will let the stewards
- 58:33do their thing. It's childish on the radio. Lap
- 58:3668, we hear from Landers engineer Will Joseph
- 58:39one more time. The way to win a championship
- 58:41is not by yourself. It's with the team. You're
- 58:44going to need Oscar, and you're going to need
- 58:46the team. With three laps left, Lando lets Oscar
- 58:50catch up and fly by, taking it all for his first
- 58:53win in F1. Our final is Piastri to Norris, Hamilton
- 58:57to Leclerc, Verstappen to Sainz, Perez to Russell,
- 59:01Sunoda to Stroll. I remember this race so vividly
- 59:08because it was, it was like the papaya rules
- 59:11and the argument between Lando and his engineer
- 59:13and Oscar, just not knowing what's going on.
- 59:15And then the, and then the fight between Max
- 59:18and his engineer, literally a domestic, like
- 59:21verbally abusing. crazy i remember this race
- 59:27not because it was a good race but because it
- 59:29was just like a drama almost uncomfortable right
- 59:31like the second half of the race was so drama
- 59:33filled it was so fun yep um i gotta touch on
- 59:37the mclaren thing because like that bugged me
- 59:40it bugged me because i am kind of siding with
- 59:42lando on that why did you box me then if you
- 59:45wanted that Why do I need to slow down to give
- 59:48the place back when I was just listening to you
- 59:51guys to tell me to box, and that's what I did.
- 59:52You know what I mean? That really irked me, and
- 59:56I remember it irking me, and obviously I made
- 59:58it well known I'm not a McLaren fan. Boom! There
- 1:00:01goes Max being an idiot. That's totally on Max.
- 1:00:03I don't know what he's talking about. I think
- 1:00:04he's just completely upset. He's just in his
- 1:00:07own head probably. He was in tunnel vision at
- 1:00:08that point. He was like, I'm going to make this
- 1:00:10corner. He was driving angry. And you didn't.
- 1:00:14Yeah, we're just replaying it up here, my bad.
- 1:00:17There it is again. Dude, just full lock. Full
- 1:00:20lock, yeah. Complete full lock. Dude, he really
- 1:00:21got air on that. Yeah, he turned into me. No,
- 1:00:24he didn't, Max. No, Max, he did not. He turned
- 1:00:26because that's where the turn was, dog. You were
- 1:00:28flying right through it. Hamilton was like, I
- 1:00:31didn't turn into him. And then his radio was
- 1:00:33like, his engineer, Bono, was like, yeah, you
- 1:00:35know, Max had no control on his car. It's on
- 1:00:37him. Yeah, yeah. I might need to actually go
- 1:00:40screenshot that right from that camera angle
- 1:00:42where you see Max's car just way up in there.
- 1:00:44I love that view. That's funny. You don't see
- 1:00:46that very often in F1. kind of talking about
- 1:00:49where you're just saying i think normally i would
- 1:00:52agree with you but it was made incredibly clear
- 1:00:55and i i i'm glad they don't do this anymore because
- 1:00:58obviously it made more problems than it solved
- 1:01:00anything their their rules was if you're ahead
- 1:01:03after turn one that's the order that we finished
- 1:01:06the race that was the rules yeah that they were
- 1:01:08doing he was told that that's the way it's it's
- 1:01:10probably not fair but it's what they decided
- 1:01:12on but i but i But what he said, though, I will
- 1:01:16still stand on that. I totally get where you're
- 1:01:19coming from. He's right. Why would you box me?
- 1:01:20It was bad strategy from McLaren. I completely
- 1:01:23agree with you. It's just they had team orders
- 1:01:26from before the race even began. And if that's
- 1:01:30what it is, that's what it is, man. That's what
- 1:01:31you got to do. And like they stated, too, like
- 1:01:34his engineer stated, if you want to win a championship,
- 1:01:37you need the team, you need Oscar, which is totally
- 1:01:39true. As we saw with... I mean, I don't know.
- 1:01:45Did Lewis need Botas? Did Verstappen arguably
- 1:01:48needed Sergio to win that one championship that
- 1:01:52we just won't talk about? Because that's, you
- 1:01:55know, whatever. Let's see. What else happened
- 1:02:00that race? Yeah. Okay. So we touched on the Lando
- 1:02:02thing. And then, yeah, the Max thing and verbally
- 1:02:05abusing his engineer. I love that. Yeah. Okay.
- 1:02:09Well. shaping up for another crazy race with
- 1:02:12the potential of rain that's that's the tough
- 1:02:14part hopefully crazy it'd be fun i also see 60
- 1:02:17chance still at this current moment and it is
- 1:02:19wednesday right now so i was reading that that's
- 1:02:22like a low prediction at the moment so it might
- 1:02:24change but And I know for our weather here locally,
- 1:02:28you can't trust anything past 24 hours right
- 1:02:30now. Pretty much. If even same day. You have
- 1:02:33Mike's predictions. I do. If I'm still leading,
- 1:02:37I guess I should go first. You still have to
- 1:02:39go first. Let me see where we're at. I don't
- 1:02:41even know if I'm going to trust you here. Let
- 1:02:43me just see. Give me the right numbers. I am
- 1:02:45still leading. Wow. I thought I had a bad week.
- 1:02:48Did I have a bad week? You did. Compared to you
- 1:02:50guys, I did. And it's only because I picked Lando
- 1:02:53to win instead of Oscar. Yep. What a fool. Stupid,
- 1:02:58stupid, stupid. Which one of you was debating
- 1:03:01on Charles? Was that you or Mike? I know one
- 1:03:03of you was debating hard. It might have been
- 1:03:04Mike then. That doesn't sound like Mike though.
- 1:03:07I know, but I thought one of you. I was debating
- 1:03:09on Max instead of George. Fair enough. I don't
- 1:03:14know if I even consider Charles to be honest.
- 1:03:18So it wasn't you. Let me see here. I'm finally
- 1:03:24ahead of Mike. You are finally ahead of Mike.
- 1:03:26Yeah, points update. Smelty's at 35. Joe's up
- 1:03:30to 33. Mike's at 32. It is a close race right
- 1:03:33now. It's getting close, yeah. Halfway through
- 1:03:35the season. So if somebody gets a six right now,
- 1:03:37that could literally change the standing. So
- 1:03:40that's kind of fun. Hmm. I should have thought
- 1:03:45about this, huh? I didn't really think about
- 1:03:46it either. Hungaroring. Hmm. I like racing this
- 1:03:58track. I don't love it. You don't love it? No,
- 1:04:01not really. Okay. Ooh, golly. I really don't
- 1:04:07want to go right now. I don't know. God, Oscar
- 1:04:12just... Okay, Landau. Okay. Might as well do
- 1:04:20Oscar. Okay. Max Verstappen. You took my... Yeah,
- 1:04:29I don't know. You took my exact podium. I do
- 1:04:31think Charles... I think we're going to see Charles
- 1:04:33floating with a lot of podiums in the second
- 1:04:35half of the season. It's just a vibe I get, even
- 1:04:38though allegedly 007, right? But, you know, we
- 1:04:42should start using that. That sounds good. What
- 1:04:45do you got, Joe? Oh, man. You had my exact podium.
- 1:04:48Don't do it. Don't. Don't change your podium
- 1:04:50up for the sake of viewership. Do what you actually
- 1:04:53want. Viewership is... I want to be different
- 1:04:57than you so I have an opportunity to get more
- 1:04:59points. But you have an opportunity to get more
- 1:05:02points than me too. But I think I'm safe at least
- 1:05:04going Oscar and then Lando. Should be two points
- 1:05:08automatic. I'm trying to decide if I want to
- 1:05:11put Max or if I want to put someone else. Do
- 1:05:13you think Charles might get up there? The only
- 1:05:16reason I didn't consider George... George is
- 1:05:19because they're just not again since that win
- 1:05:24it just hasn't been the same yeah you know and
- 1:05:27it's kind of crappy weather Mercedes is kind
- 1:05:28of a crappy weather car but I didn't feel confident
- 1:05:33enough which is crazy considering George's got
- 1:05:35me some points this year I'm gonna put max all
- 1:05:38right Talk to Mata George. George was never in
- 1:05:42the conversation. Let me go ahead and get to
- 1:05:47Mike's. I have not read it. You didn't read it?
- 1:05:50He sent it to me on Discord and he spoilered
- 1:05:53it so I couldn't see it until I click on it.
- 1:05:57Here's predictions. Same as us? No. Lando, Oscar,
- 1:06:04and Charles. Lando, Oscar, and Charles. Okay.
- 1:06:08Lando, Oscar, and Charles. Okay, so there's some
- 1:06:11variety here. We all had the potential of almost
- 1:06:16getting the top two, at least, because I did
- 1:06:18want to do Lando and then Oscar, but they are
- 1:06:20so back and forth. I have potential of really
- 1:06:24losing some points this weekend. I mean, us too,
- 1:06:29though. Right, yeah. I think Max is a safe bet
- 1:06:34for this race. Once again, we all have different...
- 1:06:37Podiums, oh, so that's cool. It is different.
- 1:06:39It is different. Gosh. Wow, Charles is really
- 1:06:43throwing me off. I can't stop looking at it.
- 1:06:45I don't know why. He's really throwing me off.
- 1:06:48You know what's throwing me off? Because now
- 1:06:49I'm like, damn, should I have done Charles? You
- 1:06:51know what's throwing me off? Nico in Silverstone
- 1:06:53on that podium. It's weird seeing his name up
- 1:06:55there. I know. There it is. All right. Yeah,
- 1:06:59it looks like a typo, right? Nico on the Silverstone
- 1:07:01podium. What? Oh, my God. We still have. Okay,
- 1:07:06Zan. Oh, yeah, Zan. Monza, Baku, Singapore, Kota,
- 1:07:11Mexico, Brazil, Vegas, Qatar, Abu Dhabi. God,
- 1:07:14I don't know what it is. I don't know what it
- 1:07:17is. I love the Qatar and Abu Dhabi tracks. I
- 1:07:19do, too. And Jetta. I don't know. I don't understand
- 1:07:21why. I don't. I don't know. I like them, too.
- 1:07:24I love those tracks, but anyway, we're going
- 1:07:27to continue rambling. We should probably end
- 1:07:28it. Joe? Translate. Anyway. Thanks for being
- 1:07:34here. Yeah, thanks for having me. Thanks for
- 1:07:36not calling your mom right away to get her to
- 1:07:37come pick you up. She's been waiting for the
- 1:07:39last hour. Well, we rambled, so you can tell
- 1:07:41her it's your fault. I will. Yeah, it is my fault,
- 1:07:44but it was fun. Tell her you were talking about
- 1:07:45Mick Schumacher again. Yeah, honestly, that's
- 1:07:47what threw us off. That's what it is. Kev, obviously,
- 1:07:50behind the cameras, everything, getting it done.
- 1:07:53I'm Smelty. I'm Joe. This has been Fast Laps.
- 1:07:59Yeah, you have to do your spiel. Do your spiel.
