- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Jacksonville Jack Horse fans, welcome in to Dove All Daily, presented by Gen Jack.com.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Illuga, thanks so much for being here.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: Thursday, January 1st, 2026.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we made it to 2026.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_00]: Happy New Year.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna take a while to get used to that.
- 0:22[SPEAKER_00]: I usually start getting used to saying the new year that we're in.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: Right around the time that we get to the next year.
- 0:28[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: I digress we have a football game to talk about here today the jag wars are playing host to the Tennessee Titans in Jacksonville at the bank one p.m. Sunday for what is a division title game for the jag wars.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a division title game for the Titans certainly.
- 0:48[SPEAKER_00]: But for the jag wars it is.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: They win this game and they win their division, and that's about as big as it gets.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are 12 and a half point favorites over the Titans, and quite frankly they probably deserve to be.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars at home
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: average, even in their one loss at home, which is against the Seattle Seahawks, 29 points to opponents scoring 16, basically doubling up their opponents at home this year.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have been incredibly difficult to beat within the confines of Everbank Stadium, and look, the Titans, while they have some shown some improvement, not a very good football team.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_00]: We will get into the finer details of some of the more important things in this game, but we'll kick it off with the most important thing in my opinion.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: But first, really appreciate y'all being here supporting the channel throughout 2025 and you know, in the years prior and supporting us here in 2026, it means the world to me.

- 2:06[SPEAKER_00]: And throughout the off season, so again, check it out, jing Jack.com, and thank you so much for being here.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know your confidence level going into this game in the comment section below.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_00]: The number one thing for me,
- 2:18[SPEAKER_00]: is fan showing them.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_00]: And we've talked about that all week.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to keep talking about it.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_00]: Every time I talk about this football game, this is a huge game for the Jaguars franchise.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_00]: And as Tony Bicelli likes to put it, the next game is the most important game in franchise history.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: Well, this really is one of the most important regular season games in franchise history.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to determine whether or not the Jaguars make the playoffs, right?
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have already secured their playoffs spot.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: They will be playing at least one game.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: After the regular season concludes.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: But it's all about hosting a home playoff game, at least one, winning your division, getting to have that one more division title under your belt.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: The division title means something.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: It absolutely does.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: So even if you don't do anything in the playoffs, you have that.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: to hold over your division foes.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_00]: You can post that division title in the stadium somewhere.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like, it's cool.
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's cool to win a division.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: It absolutely is.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_00]: It means something.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: Obviously, the goal is much larger than that.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_00]: But fans should be showing up in a big way to this game.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_00]: I highly encourage, if you have the ability, whether that be through.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: Some people, it's too expensive.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_00]: Some people, you're not in Jacksonville.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: You can't get there, etc.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever, maybe you might have prior obligations, but if you have the ability to be there, I strongly suggest being there and supporting your football team and enjoying it.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be wearing the prowlers.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to be facing the Tennessee Titans for the division title.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, it could be the last home game of the year.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully it's not.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully fans help the team get the job done at home against the Titans and again, the Jaguar should get the job done at home against the Titans.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: Getting into this game.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_00]: Looking at the last time these two teams played, which was when was that?
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: November 30th, just about a month ago.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: The Jags beat the brakes off the Titans 25 to 3.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: It could have been a much larger score in all honesty, but the Jags just didn't need to do anything else.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: The Titans have improved since then.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: They absolutely have.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: I think the Jag Wars have improved since then as well.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: 25 to three is a hell of a defeat, especially when you're on the road.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: Winning a game in a hostile environment against a division rival, even if it's division rival that's not very good, which the Titans are not very good.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: Going on the road and winning 25 to three, that means something.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: It was on the back of the passing game, really, from an offensive standpoint for the Jagvars, Trevor Lawrence and Company had a pretty big time day for the Jagvars in that one against the Titans.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: They would definitely like to get the running game going more against the Titans.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: It just might not be the easiest job, but they will try to get the running game going more in this one.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: I think that that's definitely fair to say.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: I think that the easiest path is the passing game, right?
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence last time, he had 229 yards.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: They just didn't have to rack up the yards.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_00]: 229 yards, two touchdowns, basal two, and also had a nice rushing touchdown, but they just didn't need to rack up yards in the second half.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: The game was so comfortable for the Jag wars.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: Jacobi Myers and Britain Strange both had big games.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think you're going to see a similar recipe, but I think you'll see the Jaguar's really try to get the wrong game going a little bit better.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: They only average 2.6 yards per carry last time these two teams played.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: And why is that?
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the Titans, for some things that they lack, they do have linebackers at the second level who can fly down Hill, Cedric Gray.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: They also have Jeffrey Simmons, Tavondre, Sweat, just insane.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like, every sentence is just one of the best players in the NFL.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: 200, I sweat is also just an insane combination of size, strength, and athleticism at that position.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_00]: So they've got those things going for them for sure.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: The Titans do, but I think that the Jaguar can do a better job than they did on the ground last time.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: Again, only averaging 2.6 yards per carry.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: But the passing game should be able to take advantage of the Titans, you know, past defense.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: The number one thing there is making sure that Jeffrey Simmons, excuse me, does not wreck the game.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_00]: But look, the New Orleans Saints Tyler shook 333 yards last week on 27 passing attempts.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: That is pretty damn impressive against the Titans.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: The Titans' defense has not really shown much improvement quite frankly.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I mentioned that they've been playing better lately and they've won two out of the last four games.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: They beat the Browns and the Chiefs, but the Chiefs ain't the Chiefs that we all know and love right now, or actually I should say for most people know and hate.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: And the Browns, they don't have much on offense to speak of.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: But the Browns still put up 29 points on them.
- 7:48[SPEAKER_00]: The only team that really hasn't been able to score on them is the Patrick Mahomes less Chiefs,
- 7:53[SPEAKER_00]: Browns put up 29, the 49ers put up 37, the Saints put up 34, so their defense is really struggling, even with Jeffrey Simmons out there.
- 8:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's not been pretty for that Tennessee Titans defense, but the Jaguars that they need to come correct in and I guess outside of the Jeffrey Simmons challenge on offense, the Jaguars defense,
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: which has been an excellent defense for a lot of this year.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_00]: Does have a bigger test here than they did in week 13 against the Titans, because since that game, the Titans have scored 31 points, 24 points, 26 points, and 26 points.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_00]: They've been score in points.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: That a pretty good clip.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: Surprisingly, to see you, but why are they doing that?
- 8:41[SPEAKER_00]: How are they doing that?
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: For me,
- 8:44[SPEAKER_00]: You look at Cam Ward and he is a, you know, if we want to make a New Year's Eve reference, I mean, he's kind of like a firecracker like it's boomer bust and not just in a given game, but like on a given play, like he could have an insane play outside of structure.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: want to end down the field, catch you, right?
- 9:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's not playing against Philip Rivers, who it's like the ultimate mental master and can get the ball out quick and accurate on time underneath.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's like you're playing against somebody who either rocket launcher or attach their arm and incredible athleticism as well.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: So you have that part of it, but also the part where there's going to be a lot of turnover worthy place.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: Just last week, he had five turnover
- 9:37[SPEAKER_00]: So it's a different assignment in a big way for the Jaguar's defense, but one that they showed last time these two teams played that they could handle.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: The ultimate test in my opinion for the Jaguars is focus.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: Can you remain singularly focused?
- 9:53[SPEAKER_00]: They've been so good at doing it this year.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: Focus on that one and no mindset.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: The next game is the most important game.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_00]: Not let the distraction of a division title.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: or the looming specter of the playoff start to creep in and distract you, that's the key for this football team.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are much better than the Titans.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_00]: The Titans do have a game record in Jeffrey Simmons.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars, I thought, did a good job handling him last time.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: He impacted the game.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: No doubt, he's going to impact every game he's in.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_00]: They didn't let that presence in the middle of the interior, the defensive line, really kind of wreck the game, even with some injuries on the interior, the offensive line, the Jaguars did a good job.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: And then, can you bring the physicality against a tough team?
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: As I mentioned, the Titans are not a very good team.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: They are playing better on the offensive side of the ball overall.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: They're getting more big plays, but can you bring the physicality against a tough team one more time before the playoffs?
- 10:58[SPEAKER_00]: Those are the big question marks for the Jaguars.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing about this matchup that suggests the jagged bars shouldn't win, but it's like focus, physicality, toughness.
- 11:11[SPEAKER_00]: If you can do those things, you're going to win this football game.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: But those are the big hurdles that the jagged bars have to overcome, and earning a home playoff game is critical in my opinion.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: I think getting at least one home playoff game, getting your feet wet in the playoffs, in that home environment, is going to be, I mean, I don't want to say that it's like, do or die.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, the Jaguars could go on the road, wildcard weekend and win a game potentially in the playoffs, but getting your first taste of playoff action,
- 11:46[SPEAKER_00]: At home, I think is a big deal for this football team that, you know, there's some veteran experience on the team, no doubt about it.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like the guys that have been here for a long time, have been to the playoffs, have won a playoff game.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen has coached in the playoffs, but not as the head coach.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, on down the line with this coaching staff, that hasn't really experienced this yet, in the current roles that they're in.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I think having that home playoff game as a division champion would mean a lot for this team and could be a springboard for them if they do have to go on the road in the division around and if they win that game in the, in the Comfort Championship.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think it would give them a really good chance to win that first playoff game, plan at home because as I mentioned,
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars are as good as it gets at home this year in the NFL.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: I would be remiss if we didn't talk a little bit about special teams.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know, Chimera D.K.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: unbelievable returner.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: He's the FC Pro Bowl guy, Parker Washington, great punk returner as well.
- 12:50[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars just had a good return game on punt and kick.
- 12:54[SPEAKER_00]: And then the Jaguars, they need to get back to covering kicks a little bit better because
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: last week they were not very disciplined, covering a couple of kicks and that did give the cult a little bit of life in that football game.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: Other than that, you know, Logan Cook's on it right now, the punt coverage team is on it, Cam Littles on it.
- 13:13[SPEAKER_00]: So that is one thing to keep in mind, just keeping it on special teams for both teams because that can be critical part of the game that we don't talk about enough.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: But that'll do it here.
- 13:22[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all tuning in.
